I took the vehicle to Land Rover to complain an engine noise. They found out the engine bearing was bad and need a new engine. Further testing, they found out one of the system need a new update software. After getting a new engine it took 2 months to get the vehicle back. At the cashier department, I overheard customers complaining about the high cost to normal maintenance. After this, I will never ever buy another Land Rover. It just a cheap made, over price vehicle

Wow, lot of issues with these Land Rovers. Apparently, I am not the only one. I have a 2015 Land Rover. Problems werent apparent when I test drove it, but they sure developed quickly after buying it. My issues are mostly nuisance electronic issues that the dealer has not been able to resolve... or isnt willing to resolve. The parking brake sets at stop lights and fails to release. The transmission often is confused on which gear it needs to be in resulting in over revving of the motor and heavy clunking as it engages. Radio reception cuts out on local stations that never happened on my other cars. Intermittent wipers fail to operate intermittently. The seat will inadvertently adjust fully down and back instead of to the default Memory 1 position. Sometimes it will randomly adjust while drive. One thing I busted them on early was odometer mileage. It logged 250 miles for a highway trip that MapQuest indicated 180 miles. Perhaps they wanted the warranty to run out as quick as possible. I noted this and reported it to the deal. They said nothing was wrong, but after it was in the shop, it recorded the mileage correctly on the next trip. Strange. Perhaps they are repairing more than they want to let on. The local dealer is now in denial. They tell me they cannot replicate the problem. As the owner, we should have the most credibility with our cars. We drive them everyday, but Land Rover doesnt see it like that. These Land Rovers have electronic bugs and programming issues and it appears Land Rover is hiding from them.

Range Land Rover in Cardiff this morning and asked to speak to the salesman who dealt with me as I am awaiting on a part that came off my Range Rover SVR. Was told the salesman was busy and would call me back, had no response for a couple of hours and decided to call back and this time I was told by the same receptionist that the salesman I wanted to talk to has a day off??? I queried this with the receptionist that why was I told he was in and busy and now been told that he is not in work? She could not reply to this. I had ordered that part with them over a month ago and was advised by the salesman that this would take about a week to come and be painted, etc. etc.I feel like I am being fobbed off by the dealership and I truly wish that I was fobbed off before I parted with my £109,000.00 for the vehicle I purchased from them last year as then I wouldve gone and sourced another high end vehicle from another dealership. Reading the comments on here it seems that this is normal practice for this brand of dealership. Customer service is out of the door once they have had your money.

I have a 2010 RR Sport HSE and I have been having an issue with the battery needing a jump start from time to time, and I assume it was from all the corrosion around it... However I needed a boost and after it took a good 5 minutes to get started, after we removed the cables, the inside lights cut off, the truck ran for 1 minute and died again... I also noticed it has a leak and the coolant is leaking out... Can anyone shed light on why the battery is not keeping a charge even after the corrosion was removed and then the head led lights were flashing on and off... Has anyone ever encountered an issue like this and what could it be?

This vehicle is awesome. The drive is smooth and soothing. Almost like riding in an airplane. The seating is like sitting in your recliner riding down the road. The instrument panel also give you that airplane feel. The steering wheel has that ergonomic feel. The manufacturer has stop at nothing to make you feel special even after the sale. When you get this baby home all heads will turn. Heck your garage might even give you a high five after you drive this baby in. This is by far the best vehicle I have seen in the past decade. You will think so too after a drive.

Amazing purchase, I loved it. I enjoy the fact that they have the matte black option. I love how high lifted most Land Rovers are and range rovers as well too. Land rovers can be easily customized into different colors and lifts and I recommend the leather interior as well if you decide to go with this brand. The brand Land Rover usually has at least seven rider optional to seat. I definitely recommend Land Rovers if youre looking for a lot of room and want to carry a lot of passengers, they are VERY reliable.

I purchased a 2008 Range Rover HSE. Car started making loud rapping sound from engine compartment. No warning or service lights are on. Had car towed to where all service had been done, Land Rover of North Hills in Pittsburgh. Was told that no oil registered on dipstick and that low oil light was now on but no service reminder light is on. Check of records shows last oil service was done there 40,000 miles/16 mo. ago. Inspection of car at dealer shows oil full 10,000 mi/5 mo ago. Advised to get new engine at my expense. I feel dealer/manufacturer bear some responsibility because service light/low oil light never came on and argue that most customers have several cars and rely on these lights to keep track of service intervals. Dealer and Land Rover International feel you cannot rely on the lights and have to keep track of service intervals and oil level yourself.

I have had my vehicle for about a year and have only been able to drive it a little over 8 months due to the incompetent services rendered. Today (Mar 2nd 2017) I received my vehicle after 2 1/2 months (Dec 16 2016) of it being in the shop for the third time and it was delivered with a broken windshield window. The service manager was notified and informed the tow truck driver to still drop off the vehicle; not to mention the RANGE ROVER road assistance crashing the vehicle into my garage on one of these three occasions.Dealings with the RANGE ROVER BRAND has given me a negative image of them and how they treat their customers. Nothing has been resolved after over a year with dealing with RANGE ROVER Customer Service and RANGE ROVER USA and now they have forced me to look into the Lemon Act for my State. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

I purchased a 2016 Range Rover and returned the Range Rover Sport about 10 times to have the navigation system repaired due the wrong directions that the system produced. I am a realtor and need use of the nav all day and all week. I have to use my iPhone for directions and when customers are call me all day, I cant see my nav on my phone. The salesman told me that the navigation and equipment was the best you can get and after paying $88,000 for the Range Rover Sport I found that friends of mine who purchased $25,000 cars had navigation systems that put mine to shame! The dealer and the CORPORATE office didnt care. A matter of fact, the unit was so bad that they change the system completely in the 2017 due to the many problems but they wouldnt admit it or make me happy by putting a 2017 unit in its place. Also the cost to maintain the automobile is extremely expensive. Dont think about buying a Range Rover before you read the 1000s of complaints.

Land Rover has excellent variety with great customer service before and after the sale... Had to call a few times with minor issues and they even once came to the house... Just wish the oil changes and maintenance was quicker... But overall it was wonderful. They offered more variety than most dealerships, a great service package and warranty, and easy options to finance. Also, they allowed me to personalized my Land Rover to fit my personality... I have 3 kids of my own and 4 step kids and needed a vehicle to seat us all if needed and this fit. Perfect... and would buy again.

The appearance is sexy and elegant all at the same time. Combination between professional and powerful. The smokey gray is to die for. The Land Rover has a lot of space with a full upgrade of electronic. Bluetooth capable, automatic seats, a lot of great things come from this car. It has a very nice space for 5 people with a lot of leg room. Its absolutely amazing for a road trip with the luggage and car space.

They started talking about new brakes before I picked up my 2016 Range Rover HSE w TD6 from the first service at 16,000 miles. For RR brakes are a large expense and as youd imagine they dont recommend changing the pads alone but, rather, pads and rotors always. Sure. The RR is a heavy vehicle. Others such as Ford and others design heavy commercial trucks with reliable braking systems that do not require this type of maintenance. For me, I consider the mention of brake replacement when current brakes measure plenty of life left to be nothing short of the dealer set-up priming you for a big expense down the road. Same thing happened on my previous Sport. Then I carried to a reliable repair shop who replaced rotors and pads for $880 compared to the then-$2200 quoted by RR dealer. So in the end owner sat is heavily influenced by the dealer and their ethics and response to issues. Read other reviews. The vehicles are solid, beautiful, functional and smart. Some of the dealers arent. Beware. Choose your dealership wisely.

After owning this 2022 Land Rover Defender I have problems. The camera have a red box around the screen and my backup sensors and front sensors do not work. I have to bring in to the dealership but I’m on vacation in Cabo San Lucas for 4 months and there’s the problem. Won’t reimburse me on trip protection because the car is drivable. The closest dealership is 1056 miles away 1 way. Also there are a lot of noises coming from the driver headliner by the grab handle. If you pull down the noise goes away. In the back also there was a noise and I put some tape on the problem area and so far the noise has not came back. You would think on a $91,000 car customer service would help you out better.

Dealership had my car for four months and returned it with numerous issues just to get their loaner back and shove the car out the door. Came back with a busted windshield, door handle, tire pressure and balance issues as well as a filthy interior. They likely broke the windshield when they removed it to replace the front harness but say it was a poorly repaired recall item from the past. They told me to bring back their loaner and go rent a car and pay for it out of pocket. They offered first to pay my lodging since the delayed parts derailed my travel, then rescinded the offer. The owner even said that I must have done something to it to cause a 2016 Evoque with only 30K miles to completely fail. I assure you, my use of the vehicle has been quite tame, even outright boring compared with the shenanigans you see on the Land Rover Commercials.Land Rover has lost what would have been a customer for life. I fell in love with this beautiful car but its beauty belied the many problems under the surface. Land Rover cares zero for their customers or their brand and youre best off to bring your money to another dealer who cares about their brand and their customers. I spent many years in customer service and can say I have never been treated so poorly.

Had excessive noise from engine since purchasing this from the dealer in 2014. Several adjustments made but timing chain never replaced. Chain slipped off and 7 cylinders are bent. Engine is a complete write-off. Wonder how much Land Rover will cover the cost. Should be a complete engine replacement given the documented history and regular oil changes. Love the power and finishes on the vehicle. Apparently the timing chain is a known issue according to mechanics that have worked on this model in the past.

I bought a 2004 Range Rover on 5/12/12 from this dealership (Vision Custom Car). Three days after having the vehicle, the car shut off on me. I called Mr. ** and advised what happened. He stated maybe the car needed service. I took the car to be checked out by two different licensed Range Rover professionals and they stated he sold me a lemon. This vehicle need over 5,000 dollars of work; it had engine problems and all kinds of oil leakage in 4 different spots. I contacted Eric in regards to whats going on. He never will take my calls and finally, I got in contact with him and he stated I cannot give the car back and he is not paying to repair it. I paid $13,000 for the car and over $5,000 to have it repaired. In Mr. **s report of the car (Carfax), the car was in very good condition, had no mechanical problems and no engine problems. Bought a new 2012 Evoque in August if 2013. Early on had a bunch of minor issues (pillar molding making noise at speed, headlight issues, etc.), but loved the car beyond all that (Colima Lime, just the color alone made me smile). About 2 months ago, at 82,000 miles, the engine cut out and could not get it restarted. Thought it was a battery issue and had it towed to a mechanic friend of mine. Within an hour he told me that it was a failed timing chain and that a new engine would be needed. I contacted Land Rover to see if they would cover this even though we were out of warranty. I was instructed to take the car to the closest dealership for inspection before they would even consider the case. It took 5 weeks for them to diagnose the problem as a broken timing chain, but still could not tell me the cause. I provided LR with all the maintenance records. Another 2 weeks went by and they declined to help. When I asked why, I was told that I did not maintain brand loyalty by getting oil changes elsewhere. That has got to be the lamest excuse I have ever heard. It was never a money issue because I always used the highest quality synthetic oils and did oil changes about every 10K miles vs. the recommended 15K. The nearest dealership is an hour away and it’s not always practical to go there. Besides, I have had many vehicles with 100K+ miles on them and did oil changes at the most convenient place, rather than the dealership...never a problem. I am now stuck with having to pay almost $16K for a new engine and the gentleman who declined financial assistance is not willing to even speak with me to give me a better explanation than oil changes not at LR. From reading all these reviews, there does seem to be an issue with the Evoque engine, as they tend to fail right about the mileage mine failed. And from what I read, some of these people even serviced the car exclusively at LR, so it’s not the aftermarket oil & filter BS. Its not even the money that gets me upset, it’s the complete lack of customer service. I mean, it’s $16K...thats the cost of a new car. Couldnt someone take a few minutes to call and explain why they arent willing to help. I am not giving up...gonna try to reach as high as I can, maybe even the company president, or just go screaming to the media...who knows. If anyone has had luck getting to some higher-up, please contact me. Perhaps as one of the posters said, might be time for a class action lawsuit. The bottom line is that they lost a customer. We were about to buy a Range Rover Sport, but thats not happening now. I should have known better to start with. Land Rovers have always had a reputation for being a beautiful car which was extremely poorly built.

The car has 50,000 miles on it and I have had to replace the power steering shaft at a cost of $1,600. The horn button broke off and they do not sell just the button, they make you replace the entire horn. I bought a 2016 Range Rover and was happy with the transaction until the first time that I washed the car (3 weeks after purchase). I discovered spots on the sides of the car that actually changed the color of the paint. The spots were caused by the tire dressing that was on the USED upgraded rims which were represented as being brand new by the dealership. I know that they were used because 3 weeks after the purchase, the sales manager accidentally told me that they had 7,000 miles on them.I took the car to a detail shop and a body shop to see if they could get the spots out, and both places said that they have seen these same type of spots before. They stated that the spots came from the wrong type of tire dressing splashing up on to the paint and they can change the color of the paint to the point that you have to strip the car and repaint. It is especially noticeable on white paint (my Range Rover is white). This dealership took NO responsibility for the spots that were caused by them and Im being forced to sue them. I am extremely disappointed in Ventura Land Rover and would never recommend them to anyone. Go to the Westlake Land Rover, they will treat you fairly. I bought my previous Range Rover from them and I should have stuck with them, they were excellent.

I bought my 3rd Land Rover in 2017 after a long hiatus (after issues in 1998/2003). Almost immediately the infotainment screen began blacking out and rebooting all the time. It took 3 days for them to update this, it worked a bit better but it was not perfect. Whenever I called in for service, they would ask me if I was SURE I wanted to get it fixed (like, are you SURE you want to wait for how long its going to take us) because they dont have loaner cars, and the technicians are slow to get to issues. This was April 2017. Forward to December. I am driving out of my neighborhood (I am at 5500 altitude) and I accelerate aggressively to get around an 18 wheeler as I am getting into high speed traffic coming down the mountain. My accelerator pulls from my foot, is flush with the floor, and tips at 85 mph with the RPM gauge redlining at 8000. The car is wobbling and shaking, I have zero control of it. I press the brake several times pretty hard/gentle and it finally pops out. I never drove the car again. (Note, the service person had the audacity to ask if I was sure I wasnt accidentally driving with both feet. Right. 1st gear at 8000 RPM. With my right foot on the brake. Yeah). Car was towed back to the dealership where I got it, 500 miles away, they offered me a decent trade amount, I trade up to a Supercharged regular Range Rover, with a hefty price tag. They put this car above back out on the lot for sale a few days later. The new car has issues almost immediately. The steering wheel jerking into left and right lanes at high speeds out of the blue. Techs said, Oh disable your lane assist. So I did that, no help. I almost was jerked into an 18 wheeler on a curve on a highway in the rain the next day going 65mph. Then they say, Oh, disable your blind spot warning. I did this as well. Of no help. I go in and uncheck the driver assist for both options, and it seems to help some. Then of course the black screen starts its visits, rebooting in the middle of driving or not coming on at all. Bluetooth calls dropping. The gear shift dial sticking (cant D to R or R to D or P) and with the computer rebooting randomly, coming back on during driving, all the cameras go nuts and start making sounds all over the place until it realizes that the car is actually DRIVING now, not trying to park. The dealership refunded my money for this one. I am forever grateful for that, they did step up. They did imply that LRs were more for appeal and looks and status than reliability and dependability. They say, its a great car if you are ok with being in the shop, even better to live near one. I got a GMC Yukon Denali yesterday. Its amazing, and my breakup with Land Rover is complete. The accelerator incident was one of the scariest events of my life. I am not a panicky person, but I had nightmares for weeks after that one.

In January 2012, we experienced a blow out on front driver side of our 2008 Black Range Rover, which tore up the wiring harness that was above the wheel well. Land Rover was unable to secure parts to fix the vehicle, namely the wiring harness, for seven months. During the seven months they had the vehicle, they had told us they would take care our financial costs to rent a vehicle during this time due to them not being able to loan us a car from the dealership. They have now refused to help with any of the $3,944 worth of expenses we incurred from renting another vehicle to drive during that seven months. They have been terrible to deal with and are liars. After dozens of emails and phone calls to them during these seven months confirming that they would reimburse the charges after the vehicle was fixed, they have basically now said they cant do anything for us. I will never ever purchase another Land Rover. Our insurance paid out over $18,000 to them to repair the vehicle and they still treat their customers unfairly. We couldnt be any more disappointed in this establishment - not only disappointment in their ability to secure parts in a timely fashion but also in their unfair treatment of customers. This is the first review I have ever written so you know the magnitude of our disappointment.

Love them. And even all cars are test drives fun. I really liked the type of all terrain vehicle that this brand provided and hope again to buy another one sometime around the spring time test drives. The appearance is amazing. This car is very good for rough ground and mountains. There isnt so many upgrades on the Land Rover but its still a really good car for anywhere. Have already recommended it to many people such as my friends and family. The gold version is very hard to clean and I really dont recommend it to anyone.

I’m not going to spend my life writing this review (I’ve already spent too much time taking my car back and forth to the dealership with no solution). But I wanted to confirm everything that all of the other reviewers have shared regarding the Infotainment issues is 100% true. I hate this car. Spent close to $150K out the door and the infotainment system in my cheap $10K leased Chevy volt is 100% bug-free. What irony. Don’t buy this product until they have absolutely fixed everything that is wrong with this. This severely devalues this car’s worth.

Purchased 2016 Evoque brand new. Check Engine light came on at 397 miles on the car. Took in for service, dealer fixed it and car was with dealer for 2 days. Drove under 100 miles, Check Engine light on Again. Back to dealer for repair. Dealer kept it again for few days and fixed issue. Drove 200 miles again and check engine light on again. This time dealer kept the car for 2 weeks. After lots of phone calls to manufacture and dealer they agreed to replace my vehicle for another Evoque. Happy customer again... But guess what. Drove replacement car for about a month with under 900 miles check engine light ON. Very unhappy with truck so far and Would Not Recommend it to anyone Buy IT. Look around, you will find better Quality cars around.

I bought a new Range Rover Evoque in Feb 2015 only done 6000 miles and the parts are failing as if this is a prototype test model and the company does not have the courtesy to replace the car, all they are doing is replacing parts. The car has been with the dealer for 6 weeks from my ownership of 4 months. Parts replaced so far - O2 sensor, ENGINE, couple of modules, brake discs, rear bumper, doing paint job under the hood... Last I heard they are replacing some more parts. After opening an executive case also, they keep assuring me everything will be fixed without even considering a replacement.

I know I marked Happy with RR Evoque because I love everything about this car. I just had a very unfortunate incident and after being on your website I noticed someone in UT had a similar incident. This one could have left me paralyzed, but it didnt and I just want answers. 2013 RR Evoque, parked in my driveway that is about a 1-2% incline. Placed in park, car was on, not moving. Went to check mail with door open, noticed back tire rolling back. Ran to car to try to catch the brake with right foot. Could not reach brake as momentum was building with car moving down driveway. Fell on back, tried to brace door with left leg and realized the car was in gear!! Car wish-boned my legs over my head and door ran over me. Car rolled across street into deep ditch, caught by two trees and was stopped. I hobbled over to car after two face plants into street as I felt hamstrings snap! I entered car, was in a little shock so I did not even look at or remember what gear car was in, I just put it in drive and it drove out.

Since I bought my Land Rover I have been happy. Its very durable and Im glad I had no problem with anything breaking. That show me its tough and can handle my everyday driving. I really like the inside of my car. The interior is amazing. It is very easy to clean and if I take it and have it done it doesnt cost much. I also like how many people my car holds. I can go on a family road trip and have everyone because how roomy my car is. It makes me so happy to have everyone on a vacation instead of taking separate cars. Its a great quality vehicle. I have seen some upgrades that I would like to do to personalize my vehicle. It would be fine to do, its minor not to void my warranty.

Hi. We bought a brand new Land Rover Discovery 2018 last year. Every month has been in the shop for some repair (back seat broken, upper arm left broken, next month upper right arm broken, wire in the control panel not connected after some repair, hood not opening, radio not working and more). Every time it take 3 weeks to have an appointment or more if you need a loaner car. Today I called and the next appointment for my car will be December 12 but I am going in vacations so not before January 12 2021 now. My problem on top of it is I am living in the mountains and the loaner car will not have any snow tires so I am pretty sure I will not make it back home again. I am so tired of the service. I want to sell my car but I cannot do it until my car is fixed.

Omg omg omg... Ill be honest with everyone, they are nice looking cars but whatever you do... DONT and I mean dont waste your money on a Range Rover. I bought one and took care of it like it was one of my child. These cars are horrible, the maintenance on them is non-stop. I mean these cars are garbage and the service fees are wow, I mean you can spend almost the cost of the car in two years of maintenance. My truck was worth almost 20,000 dollars and in the end I took it to the dealer and handed them the keys after it broke down and I swear to you I told them this is my car abs, this is the keys to it and this is the title and gave it to them and walked out.As much as it hurted letting it go cause of the money I spend but in the end it was a relief, Range Rover is a piece of **. Excuse my language but please think twice before buying a Range Rover, the car will put you in big debt. Oh Lord I can tell you so much about my truck it will take me days explaining it, and I swear to you its not just me. I have a family member and also a friend that are crying worse than me. Please please whatever you do... DONT BUY A RANGE ROVER.

I just purchased a 2018 Range Rover HSE TD6 Diesel Black Package, very expensive, took five months to get after order. To date about six weeks of owning car (4,000 miles), the unit is experiencing major electrical, computer malfunctions such as backup camera, not working, computer (dash), not working or black, lumbar supports and massage seats not working, USB ports not working or charging, phone once paired not working, had to delete and re-pair. The problem is the dealer really doesnt know what or how to diagnose or fix the problem. Thank God I had stopped back by the dealership for a tech question and the technician witnessed some of the problems, too expensive of a car to have this many problems, might be time for a Lemon Law attorney.

My Range Rover sport 2013 was the best until I had to do maintenance and there is when the nightmare starts. A car with only 40.000 miles on. The car is now 60.000 miles and the coolant problem still not solved. After spent so much money to get scammed by these people I still need to put coolant at least once a week, ignore the coolant light on because it can never be fixed. These cars are popular for having coolant leaking problems but doesn’t matter how much they charge and you are willing to pay you will only get scammed. They will not fix your car or admit that they are basically taking your money for the same thing over and over again. Took my car to 5 times to get this problem solved, spent thousands of dollars for absolutely nothing. Just stress. And they have the audacity to call you next day to say: Are you happy with our services? Oh no, I’m sorry for all the trouble we may cause to you. Maybe we can fix this issue with a new car!!! No. Thanks! Every time I took my car to get “fixed” they loan me a newer model and all drive like cheap cars. I should listened to friends who deal with the same problems with their brand new Land Rovers and should never ignore all the bad reviews they have. Now I’m absolutely ready to sell it and get far far away from any type of Land Rover or Jaguar brand cars. I absolutely don’t recommend Land Rover cars. Horrible experience!

On 23 July 2014 I purchased a 2011 Range Rover HSE with 35,043 miles on it for $63,289.00 from Land Rover Seattle. At that time I also purchased a warranty from National Warranty Corp., for $5000. To date I’ve put less than 35k miles on the vehicle. So basically Ive spent over $1800 per mile driven. The vehicle has completely stalled out (complete loss of power) on 6 different occasions. On three of those 6 occasions I’ve been put in life-threatening positions. On this last occasion, while entering the freeway at 60 miles per hour the vehicle stalled out. Two times before that I stalled out while crossing a major intersection blocking 8 lanes and the police had to direct traffic and call in 2 other officers to push me out of the way.My vehicle has been in the shop for approximately 100+ days in the last 5 years. I’ve been very patient, but this last close call has pushed me over the edge. I’ve been so traumatized that I no longer am able to drive the vehicle. I contacted their corporate office and the dealership. The sales manager told me, over the phone they would give me $18,000 toward a trade-in + another $2000. When I got to the dealership today they told me they would give me 10K. for my car. It was my dream to own a Range Rover, but clearly it is only for the very wealthy, as I cant afford to drop 63k on a vehicle that I put 35K miles on and the value is now 10k. Please also note that I had a 45,000 and 65,000 mile service on the vehicle.

Range Rover 2010 Sport - I love this car... Its like riding a baby pony that wants to go go go... I also own a Porsche 911 Turbo and as far as speed and agility go, the Range Rover cant be beat for an SUV. After reading some of the prior reviews, I agree that if you want to drive this car, you need to treat it like gold and have the $$$ to pay for consequences. Ive had my car in for several things that were covered under warranty but were a pain in the **. Make sure to get an extended warranty. It will pay for all the quirks and issues that definitely will happen. An oil change and tuneup will cost you upwards of $700 (warranty doesnt cover that!). And if you lose your key, be prepared to spend another $600. Im a mom with 4 kids and we all love this car... the status, the speed and the luxury... It comes with a price tag well beyond the $85,000 you spend on it though. I just had new brakes put on and another $1,900 later, am holding my breath until the next issue (maintenance or wear and tear) happens. Bottom line, this is an amazing vehicle... Land Rover needs to work on the high price tag, back charging after purchase and stop nickle and diming their loyal customers for literally everything.

Between Range and Land Rovers, theres a ton of options. Theres the Sport, Discover, and Evoque which are all different prices. They are very nice and easily customizable. You can customize almost anything. A popular route is the blacked out Range Rover, which looks very sleek. You can also choose from the basics - just color of leather and outside. The car is beautiful inside and beautiful outside! I love the look and feel of the cars. Great colors for leather and outside. It has very distinct look and you can tell they are Rovers. A lot of the cars have a 7 person capacity, but the back seats can be small and crammed. The front seats are full and luxurious, though, and could comfortably seat two petite people (not while driving though!). Its overall a great car and would recommend it.

The electrical system and suspension bags goes off while driving. Brought it to Land Rover January 2014 and service advisor said everything was fine. Took it back on February 2014 with the same problem and when he turned on the ignition, the problems above occurred. We have been in contact almost on a weekly basis for an update. To date, they still have the car. He thinks it might be the instrumental panel on the dash board but is only 70% sure. To replace that, it would cost us $1,400.00. If the problem continues, then bring it back for another diagnostic evaluation. It is unfair for us to pay for something that they are not certain will fix the problem and will not be refunded if the same problem occur but said if it does, then to bring it back for another diagnostic evaluation. At our expense? Is this fair? Is this a defective item on the 2006 LR3?

Updated on 01/23/2020: Leased brand new 2017 Land Rover Discovery HSE TD6 AWD. Family of 6 so we need to have the third row and this vehicle promised to combine comfort, reliability, and luxury. None of those things were true. The vehicle was delivered to us with the interior drivers door panel detached and hanging from wires. Windows would not open and radio/information panel acting weird. Problems were repaired only to have water coming from upper center console leaking into cabin two weeks later. 10 days to repair. Few weeks later car starts to surge and vibrate loudly when we travelled more than 65 miles/hr. Another few weeks of repair. Over the past 26 months of ownership problems have ranged from the annoying to the absurd: -leaky windshield/sunroof (3 times repaired and still leaking) -electrical glitches with entertainment console -hood cable snapped twice - one time the vehicle would not start because I had to add DEF fluid but couldnt open the hood to add it! -car found dead and unresponsive on driveway needing to be hauled away by dealership on a flatbed because they couldnt even open the doors (never was given a reason as to what caused this other than theyve never seen this before) -defrost fan screaming when turned to max (blower fan changed out twice) -vehicle groans after 65 miles/hr and the noise is so loud the driver and front passenger need to raise their voices to speak to each other (problem still exists even though weve taken car in 6 times for repair - service says they have no idea) -windshield wipers messed up -whistling noise in cabin when on highway - service cant find air leak-condensation inside cabin every day making everything moist and stickySave yourself the hassle and aggravation. Most frustrating, annoying vehicle experience Ive ever came across. Dealership was zero help and never proposed any solutions or resolve. Ive spoken to the general, manager, service manager, sales team and they all shrug tell me ride out my lease. I personally contacted Land Rover and expressed my distress on this and they spent 2 months researching this only to come back with the obvious that the vehicle is a dud. They agreed to purchase the vehicle from me (now only 11 months to go on the lease and most of the negative equity has been paid for by yours truly) BUT ONLY if I purchase a new vehicle from them. So I guess they figure they can treat their customers like crap and then try to force them to get stuck with another one of their crummy vehicles and do it all with a smile on their face and make it seem like they are doing you the favor. Screw Land Rover. Visit my site for more **.Original Review: Purchased a brand new 2017 Discovery HSE Diesel and it has been the worst vehicle. I’ve never written a review before but the public needs to be warned about these vehicles. Problems range from the annoying to the absurd. So far I’ve dealt with leaky windshields (yes, three times), leaky sunroof, water coming into the center console, door panels detaching from their clips and hanging by wires, electrical glitches that get “fixed” by magical updates which require 3 days in service, hood cable snapped twice, car battery dead even though car locked and sitting in driveway with no lights on (had to be hauled on flat bed - service department says they’ve never seen that before and no cause found but took them 3 weeks to get the car back to me), windshield wiper issues, acceleration issues in cold weather, surging when speed hits 60 km/hr, no heat, defrost fan screaming when set to max and I’m sure half a dozen other issues that I’ve forgotten. Save yourself the pain and anguish. This car has spent months in service. It is the worst vehicle made in the last 2 decades.

Purchased Land Rover Discover 4 brand new with 8km on the clock. Attempted to drive home. Only made it 6km along the highway when the transmission failed. Land Rover were horrendous to deal with. Firstly asking if it could be driver error (it is an automatic!) then insisting on replacing the entire transmission against our wishes. Two weeks after the day of purchase and all along we refused in writing to accept the vehicle, yet Land Rover drove it to my place of employment and left it there. I had just signed up for a 5 year Lease so couldn’t get out of the contract without great financial penalty. So we were stuck with this lemon for 5 years and it has been so unreliable, the best it ever performed was when sitting on the back of a flat top tow truck. Suspension cracks, constant oil leaks, shudders at speed (really, really shudders!) breakdowns and clunking noises are all part of this heap of rubbish. Never again!

I purchased this new Range Rover PHEV in May last year. In September we couldnt detach the charging cable. Roadside assist came and said the fault with this is so bad it needs to go to the dealer. This took the dealer and Land Rover 3 months to fix, with all sorts of faults discovered and waits for parts. We get it back and start to get major issues with the infotainment system and departure timers losing settings at random, or the car locking up during the charging cycle, so it wont actually charge. There no traffic info available now, the sun blind operates on its own while driving, the radio can change volume on its own, camera alerts are at maximum system volume, sometimes the infotainment system wont come on until you drive a mile or so.I have documented these and other faults, but are told theres nothing wrong with the car. I even have video evidence, but nothing is being done by JLR, who are aware of it, both at Dealer and Factory level. The leather seats are showing signs of wear on the seat base - The dealer steamed the leather to cure the issues, 500 miles later its as bad as ever. I understand too that its now subject to a recall because the engine does not meet publish emission standards. We have purchased over the years 2 Discos and 9 Range Rovers - Never again will I buy a JLR product, theres simply inadequate support.

Our Range Rover Sport 2015 with 47,000kms under 3 years old goes into limp mode and JLR service says it needs a new engine. Although still under warranty they refuse to replace the engine, firstly they say we put the wrong oil in it...this is tested and proven incorrect. Next they say warranty is refused because you cannot supply the entire service history (we purchased vehicle from an auction). We finally track down the original owner and provide the entire service history which is in the perimeters of warranty terms. Still JLR press on for statutory declarations and proof of genuine parts. This goes on for 8 months while JLR try their hardest to squirm their way out of honouring the Warranty. After 8 long months without our vehicle and being treated with distain by JLR Customer Support we finally got a new engine which we were always entitled to. In summary nice comfortable car to drive but will Never buy another Range Rover or product from JLR...Pick up your game JLR, build vehicles that last and have a really good look at your customer service practices.

Ive had my 2017 Range Rover Sport for almost 1 year now and if it werent for their lousy InControl dashboard entertainment/electronics system, I would consider this to be the best car Ive ever owned. NOT. It is so frustrating to wait for the system to boot up. Sometimes its 10 seconds, sometimes its 30 seconds, sometimes NOT AT ALL. Sometimes my volume control is stuck at one level. Oftentimes the InControl signs me out of the system which disengages traffic updates and makes you log back in which is cumbersome and not intuitive to say the least (again)! The app works 50% of the time. When it doesnt work it tells you to drive the car and then try again. Really? $95k for this vehicle? I feel for the dealership service technicians because they take the brunt of all complaints with the Land Rover perpetrators hiding in the background refusing to take responsibility for this issue. I have been driving Land Rovers in my family since 2005 and exclusive owned 5 products so far right from LR3, LR4 and most recent Range Rover sport diesel 2016s. Purchased my first Range Rover sport in May of 2016. The car spent more time in the dealership due to transmission issues and leaks on an ongoing basis. I traded the car for another Range Rover Sport TD6. After about 1000 miles transmission fluid started leaking and could smell smoke in the cabin. Minor leaks but continuous. Dealer took the car in twice to change out various seals. However leaks continued. Car has been at dealership for over a month. Dealer lowered the entire transmission and determined that the transmission fluid leaked through the material of the transmission housing. The material is porous and allows transmission oil through its walls. So dealer order a new transmission for a car now at about 2000 miles. There is major issue with the material of construction of the transmission and is quite unsafe in my opinion. I have asked for a full compensation through dealership and Jaguar Land Rover North America. The response so far has been very slow both from JLR North America and the dealer tells me that such things take time to resolve. Meanwhile I continue paying for the car. My main concern with the car is its reliability and safety. I am still waiting to hear dealer and JLR North America. I will update post as issue gets resolved. Meantime any advice highly appreciated.

Purchased a 2013 RR Evoque on 4/12/2016. Absolutely loved my vehicle. The fuel pump went out weeks after purchased. Still under warranty, fixed, no problems. Took care of my car. Had it serviced before even needed. Purchased extended warranty (5000.00). I kept calling the in control ownership and could not get it registered. It was locked on topix. At the dealership they told me nobody does that anymore. Which made no sense. Coz it tells you too. Well thats when things got weird. I brought my car in for an insurance estimate on the meridian system on 12/03/2018. They called and told me I needed a new starter and rear axle and differential. I never had a problem with either.9 weeks later Im told its ready for 13,000 dollars. They did not turn it in to warranty. Told me I have to. So he walks me out to a parking lot to my car (weird Coz they have valet at a luxury dealership). I get in the vehicle and its not mine. This was some salvaged vehicle obviously a flood vehicle. Steve ** walks out to me with a car fax report (how did he know who I was or what I was going to say). I said, where is my vehicle? He said, this is your vehicle. And told me, what you going to do about it? The police say its a civil matter but theres no contract. If that was me I would be in jail for motor vehicle theft. I have been on a year long pursuit to find my vehicle. He has wiped all my service records and the 5000.00 warranty doesnt exist. Motor vehicle has 15 entitle changes with 4 vehicle Ids. I went to level 123 inspections to find out its under investigations. Attorney General never even looked at the paper of evidence and took 6 months for a response from the dealer that altered all entitles. No response from corporate. I recently discovered that car was from copart salvage auction. Steve ** was pulled over for taking flood damaged cars. So beware of and Land Rover vehicle. And do not consider car fax. They have changed the vehicles origin, service and mileage 3 times. In the meantime I continue my search for my vehicle so this Corp. can be sold for their business tactics. The vehicle was for sale in California at fast track auto while I was the owner. Its called cloning.

After numerous emails to the CEO they’ve never gotten back to me. My mothers car was stolen due to the poor technology that these cars are built with! All I’ve asked is that all range rovers sold need to have a contract stating how easy it is to steal! So the future owner knows their risk! That it only takes 90 seconds to steal a £40k plus car!!! I’m DISGUSTED how I’ve been treated! I believe the answer now is to do a peaceful protest outside showrooms to Stop People buying their terrible cars!

I have the RR Supercharged. I purchased it in Mexico City in 2014 directly from the LR importer (and not any distributor) and actually has 22,585 kilometers, and I sent it to ETB Armoring company, the only company recommended by LR. This RR is in a very BAD condition due to the bad or the worst armoring assembling, everything vibrate and makes a lot a noise and the suspension is in a very bad shape. It looks like a 2 millions kilometers and not +/- 20,000 kilometers. And from the LR Company here in Mexico City NOBODY cares. I called many times. The person in Charge of Service by the name of Antonio ** and he did never care. What about the promises that is a millions kilometers SUV?! And the best service EVER? I have been in love with my 2013 Evoque up until about 65K miles when a belt had to be replaced for $2,000. I let it slide. Now at 70,000 miles, I need a whole new engine. The fourth cylinder no longer has compression, so it is only running on three cylinders and cannot be driven. I have kept up with all regular service and have taken very good care of this vehicle. The dealership is unable to offer any sort of explanation or concern as to why this would happen to an engine with only 70K miles on it. A new motor is estimated at $15 to $20K. As much as I loved driving this vehicle, I thought I would be a Range Rover customer for life. Never again.

Purchased a Range Rover Sport HSE at the end of February 2018. The vehicle currently has 4,500 miles and has been in for repairs 4 times -- the last was for two plus weeks. The issues are all surrounding the infotainment system -- Audio system, Climate Control, Navigation, etc. The latest upgrade of the firmware(s) and replacement of the main infotainment computer resulted in a completely dead navigation system -- frozen map, no audio NOTHING. My phone pairs, but the call loses audio frequently and is unusable. The dealer has been very good, but this is a major design flaw and cannot be fixed. I have begun the buy-back process and so far the dealership and Land Rover USA seem to be willing to accommodate my demands -- namely I want out of the vehicle without it costing me a single cent -- purchase prices, delivery, taxes, interest paid, extended warranty, etc. We shall see when all of a sudden the just under $80K sticker amounts to a refund closer to $90K. First and definitely the LAST Land Rover/Jaguar product I would ever consider. Unfortunately because aside from that Mrs. ** I love the vehicle style, ride and comfort.

We leased a Discovery Land Rover for 4 months ago, short before Covid-19. After 4 months with the milage of 2000 is broken down in the down town of San Jose, Ca, a huge city, on Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm. We asked for a roadside assistant and they sent us at 12:30 am, after 4 hours, came somebody and towed the car. On Thursday, the dealer said that, We are not able to start on fixing your car until next Monday!! We do not have a car and we can not do anything until Monday. We asked the customer service to help us. They are the worst respectfulness of the customer service, weve ever seen! They told us clear: We can not help you. We do not pay for any rental car. We do not pay for a second towing to the next available dealership. We do not get you any refund etc.The other dealer in the city has availability to fix my car as soon as possible, they have also some extra car to provide me during this time. But the customer service has to pay for towing and they wont to help their customer after they sold the car!!!! If you are thing for a car, do not go to for Land rover in the U.S, because you dont get any service, after you bought the car. They are only nice, before to sell you, but they dont accept any reliability after they did. It means, they are thinking only and only on their business to make money without any respect!!!

Memphis, Tn. Bluff City Range Rover. Very dissatisfied!!! Drop my vehicle off to get some repairs done on July 10, 2019 for (REPLACE BOLTS/RESEAL EXHAUST LEAK. I received a phone call from Mr. ** my service rep. (very nice guy) on July 15,2019 informing me my car was ready for pickup, he also stated that they find another leak that’s going to cost me 4,953.32 total for a new (TURBOCHARGER) after 5 days with my vehicle. Only with 104,000 miles on my Range Rover EVO 2014. I ask ** why they see this when I got the diagnostic done. (Paid 150.00 for diagnostic) I was told to fix the problem that it would only cost me 527.98. At this point, Im like, Are you serious sir. Ok I get to the dealership to do the test drive with Mr. Mike ** on July 16, 2019. While I was driving my vehicle didnt sound no different than when I dropped it off.I ask Mr. Mike why do Ive pay for something that I to still take it to somewhere else to get repairs done? He said, “Let me check on this for you. Because you shouldnt have for the service.” Mr. Mike was very courtesy. By this time a hour has pass by, then Mike approach me again stated his district manager said that I will still have to pay for the service, due to the labor. Wow! Why paid for something that the same problem that you stated you would repair, that’s still not fix. REALLY! 2 hours has now pass by, I ask to speak to Mr. Dennis **. I went into his office and ask him why pay for something that’s still not repaired. Mr. Dennis said in front of me and Mr. Mike because of the labor and also they find another leak, once they got to the part on my vehicle. He once said again the guys has to get pay for the labor time. But my vehicle is driving with the same sound from when I dropped it off.I told Mr. Dennis it sound like you more concerned about the money than the situation and not the relationship as a long time customer. Why pay for something that you didnt repair? At this point I said a few words to him, paid and went on by way. Very horrible situation. Mr. Dennis had not concerns at all. Very Rude in the way he spoken to me. His main focus was money/labor! Ive begin coming to this location since 2015. No problem at all with customer service. It was a COMPLETE RIPOFF. I wonder how many people get ripoff daily here. 2 hours 30 mins and he took my money with a unrepaired vehicle. Spoken to several of mechanics. They said to me this doesnt sound right at all. I dont think this is a bad place--just a HORRIBLE GENERAL MANAGER. Mr. Dennis rob me with no mask on!!! Fighting now to get my funds back. I pray you make this right. Upset & disappointed

I purchased a Land Rover Discovery Sport in March of 2016. By September, the coolant was leaking and they replaced the water pump. A year later, a cylinder in the engine goes and Land Rover is denying any responsibility. Umm, the water pump failing, overheated and cracked a cylinder head. How is that not their responsibility? Their internal service reminder system failed on the car and yet they didnt think it was important to tell their customers the system they repeatedly told everyone was working had failed and they needed a backup. I didnt catch their cars defects fast enough so they are trying to use it as an excuse not to cover a new engine. After 3 months of talking to the brick wall that is customer service, I have had to take my fight to social media along with writing letters to all of their senior executives. Ill keep fighting until they make it right. My car is less than 2 years old and undrivable. I have zero incentive to stop fighting.

Range Rover sport HSE 2010 - As I read some of these reviews I realize that this scam bags at dealership did not disclose that these cars had to be recalled. I bought mine at November of 2010. Within the first month my navigation and center council kept on shooting off. They could or fix this even though the tech from England tried to remotely fix this. After thirty days they replaced the entire wiring and later on I sue and won 8k. Then I see the same violent leak and it was water pump and I have this again after 4 years. Then the gauge in the gas tank broke/stuck and I was left in middle of highway. Beautiful car even after 4 years but crappy workmanship. My boomers are coming out and body shop is telling me he does not like to fix it as any time he touches these cars something else break and does not worth for him.

This is not in my character to post negative comments online about something that I like (I absolutely love my 2013 Range Rover Evoque) but I was advised by a manager at a retailer that this was probably my best bet to get some sort of explanation for the recent sub-par treatment I have been experiencing from Land Rover, in particular the Huntington, NY location. On 12/15, my fiancé and I were driving when a message on the dashboard flashed and said that the front left tire needed air. So my fiancé went ahead and attempted to put air in the tire. When he unscrewed the air valve, it broke, causing the tire to become flat. We ended up putting the spare on, which caused another message to pop up saying that there was a fault in the tire sensor system and because this happened at 2300, we decided to call the dealer the next morning. On 12/16, we called the Huntington dealership where we bought the car and were told that the next appointment would not be available until next week. We called several other dealerships that day and even explained the urgency of the problem being that we work 40mi away and did not feel safe driving on the spare. We were told that there was nothing Land Rover can do for us. My fiancé explained that we are being forced to look into other options to get the original tire repaired because we cannot wait a week, and again we were told theres nothing they can do, but give us the next available appointment. We ended up getting the original tire put back on, but the dashboard kept reading that there was a fault in the tire sensor system. My fiancé then drove the car for the scheduled appointment, and waited for the problem to be fixed. However, when the service men told him that it was ready, the dashboard kept flashing the same message. He told them that message was still there and the mechanic impolitely told him to just drive the car 5 miles and the message would go away. After driving for 10mi, the message stayed the same and he drove the car back to the dealership where they decided to give us a loaner and further look into the vehicle. Now today 1/4/17, Land Rover Huntington calls my fiancé to tell him that the service that they provided is not under warranty and we have to pay $400. I called Land Rovers customer service, and spoke to a representative that told me that tires are not included in the warranty, and that because of the recent holiday season there was limited availability for service. Two things wrong here: 1. it is something wrong with the sensory system not the tire and 2. there is no need to justify unsatisfactory customer service. Im very aware that we just celebrated a recent holiday season not to mention my birthday on 12/16, when I had to initially deal with this nonsense.Unfortunately, I am nowhere near my vehicle to look at the specifics of the warranty, but I will say this: this has been one of the most insulting and dismissive customer service experiences I have ever had. I was really looking forward to stay in Land Rover family and eventually upgrade to a vehicle for a growing family, but this service is absolutely deplorable. My mother who is the owner of a Mercedes Benz has never heard of such treatment with her company and here I am being subjected to this level of service, for what is known to be a luxury vehicle.

Land Rover offers great vehicles, which are very economic on gas and great for road trips. Its easy to fix and take care of. Its a very nice and sophisticated type of vehicle. The interior is very nice, mirrors work well, electronic locks, and spacious room to put things to go on a travel. It has enough room to fit a family of 6 and room in the back to put bags and luggage for vacation and has plenty of room to be comfortable for long trips. Every few years newer models have been produced and the options have become more updated.

I had a 2006 Range Rover Sport HSE. I loved it! At about 90,000 km, I started getting intermittent reduced engine efficiency warnings that began to result in low speed stalls. Check engine light occasionally would come on as well. I had my mechanic replace several sensors. Then I took it to the Land Rover dealer (in the next city) who diagnosed a mass airflow sensor as the culprit. This was changed but it kept reoccurring. More diagnostics (and the money associated with that) and resetting of the codes: same mafs but nothing was wrong with the sensor! Land Rover was unhelpful and quite frankly, disinterested. I guess the repeated cost resetting charges were making everyone happy (except me). So, I bought a 2013 Ford Explorer, a great vehicle at a half the cost, same great cargo space, better ride (!) and a more accessible dealer network. Its a great truck.Im very disappointed in Land Rover. I currently have a Mercedes E-class which Ive had for almost 10 years without any significant issues, as well as a summer-only 5-year old Porsche that has cost me only oil changes. I dont mind spending money on vehicles, but I wont be loyal to a brand that cant fix their own vehicles properly. Good riddance, Landie, forever.

Traded in my 2016 RR Diesel on 2018 HSE. Wish I could get my 2016 back. The 2018 has been problematic from day 1 regarding the electronic display. Has been in 3 times for repairs and each time, they magically have an update that will fix it all. Still having issues. Now, unless I wait until the disclaimer screen shows up on the screen before putting in reverse I get a TEENY TINY camera. The car also takes 30 seconds for it to engage in reverse AND many times the back up camera will not shut off for MILES. The last upgrade got me Apple CarPlay which I hate!!!! UGH, what happened? I bought a 2015 LR4 in March, and thought I would share some information with prospective buyers. Land Rover USA has admitted that there is a problem in the air conditioning system of the 2015 LR4s, a problem that causes a high pitched whistle to be emitted from the dashboard area whenever the air conditioner is on (as it often is if you live in Texas). Land Rover says this is a characteristic of the 2015 LR4s, and have offered no fix for the problem. If you are considering purchasing an LR4, I would seriously reconsider, until Land Rover has a fix for this issue. Though the dealership has tried, they have been unable to fix the problem, and my car has spent over 40 days in the shop since I purchased it.

When I first received my 2018 Range Rover HSE it was a great car for the first month but its been a year and now I absolutely hate it, here are some reasons why. The infotainment system is the worst that I have ever worked with. The screens in the car will all go black in the middle of driving, even on the highway. It is impossible to connect a brand new iPhone X to the BRAND NEW Range Rover, I have tried relentlessly to connect my phone to the car through Bluetooth. The Bluetooth in the car is always failing. The glitching and lag from the infotainment screens make you want to take a baseball bat to the screen. If you have made it this far in my review now Id like to tell you that my family have had 6 previous Land Rover vehicles and I have a heart felt love for the brand. But, if Range Rover wont fix their infotainment problem, I will never buy another one and suggest that no one should either. Finally you may be thinking to yourself,Did you do anything to resolve the issues? Yes, I have gone to my local Range Rover dealership more than 2 times and they have given my car updates. These updates HAVE NOT WORKED. I still face all the same issues I had faced about 11 moths ago. My favorite part in this experience is the lack of reality that my local Range Rover dealership has. They have told me repeatedly that if I experience any problems with my car them I should, pull over and shut off the car for 5 to 10 minutes. So I guess every time there is malfunction with the infotainment system (which is about every day) then while driving to what ever destination I am traveling to that day, I should just pull over and take, 5 to 10 minutes, to restart my car. Im gonna leave this review by saying I used to love Land Rover but my car sucks and so does the Land Rover for the way they have dealt with this issue.

Purchased a brand new 2017 Land Rover Discovery HSE LUX TD6. While the visual design of the vehicle is great, we had major quality issues pretty much from the start.Issue #1: Massive vibration when driving at 50 mph. this happened frequently, but randomly. Something was not right with the alignment because you could smell that the tires were getting shredded. Thought maybe it was the Goodyear OEM tires which were chunking off at the shoulders - but after multiple alignments (which they said was not out) and brand new Michelin tires, the problem still happened.Issue #2: Like so many other people have commented, this thing had major infotainment issues. Screen would sometimes not come on at all. Other times it would freeze. Navigation got so bad that eventually it was stuck thinking we were driving through the middle of the ocean. Had it at the LR dealer at one point for nearly 3 straight weeks. They completely rebuilt the infotainment system and had to do video conferencing with corporate engineers in UK. Problem was fixed for a short while but then they randomly started happening again. After spending $74k on a brand new car, and this being our second LR we had owned, we traded this back in for a different brand SUV. Hugely disappointed with how LR handled. Call to corporate, they tell you to call the dealer. Talk to the dealer and they tell you to call corporate. Stay away like the plague. Beautiful vehicles, but poor quality.

Some third rows feel like afterthoughts and the passengers are squished in but the LR4 avoids that nicely. I also love the four wheel drive options, the cooler in the center console, and the automatics wipers. But I wish they offered DVD screens in the backseat. I am contacting you as I am at my wits end and are asking for your help as a last resort. I hope by approaching the press with my story, it will highlight the issues of safety, quality and customer service which my elderly Father has faced from Jaguar Land Rover. Before I begin to list the problems, of which there are many, I wish to highlight that through research this is not an isolated incident and the vehicle is, I believe a major health and safety hazard. I also wish to point out he is in no way looking for any recompense from them, he knows better than to think he could. I purely wish to highlight their inadequacies so hopefully other people don’t suffer as he has. I will now list chronologically all the issues he has suffered. After 8000 miles the trouble began. Whilst in Solihull the car came to a halt on a main road with no warning. The police came as we were causing an obstruction and he had to pay to have the vehicle towed home and for taxis for his son and daughter to get home who were in the car at the time. Costing nearly £180. An Engineer took the car to a Land Rover dealership in Erdington. Diagnosis, the gear box had gone. It took 9 weeks after the diagnosis for them to order the part and a further 3 weeks to fix it. He was given a courtesy car to use whilst it was being repaired. He specified he needed a tow bar to use for his holidays to take his caravan with him. They provided him a Toyota Hilux with a cab on the back like a building contractor would use. He refused the car as it was completely unsuitable for a family holiday. He then had to pay for train tickets to take his family to Devon.A Lady from Head office said they would compensate him, however it never came to fruition and also the car he didn’t want was left sitting on his drive for 3 more weeks. A representative from Land Rover contacted my Father to inform him the they had supplied him with the wrong log book, for a cheaper model of car. He had to have his insurance amended which cost him £40. Whilst driving down the road the tailgate opened on its own and he had to perform an emergency stop. Next the gear box developed a leak and the tailgate began to rub against the bumper when closing. Which was damaging the bumper. Returned vehicle to garage and they told him “the tailgate hasn’t dropped, the bumper has lifted up”. Which was completely absurd. They had the car in 3 times to fix the tailgate unsuccessfully, still adamant it was a problem with the bumper not the tailgate. He eventually took it independently to a Mercedes Garage who looked at it and saw the tailgate was 10mm lower than it should be. He returned it to Land Rover who then agreed it was the tailgate at fault. After agreeing the tailgate and bumper needed replacing because they were damaged and faulty they took the vehicle back in. They had the car for another 4 weeks to replace the 2 items. When he went to collect it upon completion of the work., he noticed something didn’t look correct. After some heated discussion with their engineers, they conceded they had forgotten to put the bolts in the apron below the bumper which was just resting on and not actually attached. Finally got the car home and everything was allegedly fixed. At this stage the car had been in the garage for nearly 4 months. Then, the tailgate dropped again. He took it to a different dealership in Darlaston, who ‘fixed it’ and returned it but said they never had time to valet it but would send someone to valet it at his house. No one ever came, and on inspection it appeared the boot and bonnet had never even been opened. Again he took it back to Erdington for them to fix, again they said they had but the problem persisted. Another complaint he had was the rangefinder being wildly inaccurate. When he explained that it needed calibrating, their response was “well can’t you just do without it.” While taking the car through an automatic car wash one of the panels on the door fell off. They are only held on by press studs and can actually just pulled off.Car was now leaking oil heavily and needed to go back in again. He was told to drive it to the garage but refused as the engine was completely dry of oil. So they had to send the RAC to take the vehicle to the garage as engine would have seized. He refused to send the car back to the Erdington dealership as he didn’t trust them to fix the car. The car, now at Solihull, now needed the tailgate fixing again, the headlining in the interior had come down and needed reattaching and the gasket on the gear box had gone and needed replacing. All in approx. 2 weeks to get parts and fix they said. He received a phone call at 7 pm on the night from an unknown number in High Wycombe who told him they were a private firm who were going to give him a courtesy car, but they wanted bank details and card details and to withhold a security deposit of £500 for the vehicle. When he refused to hand over his bank details to someone he doesn’t know they hung up and he was never offered another courtesy car even though the vehicle had warranty on it still. Didn’t get the car back for over a month, during which time he had no courtesy car and had to rely on taxis and public transport. During one of the many repairs done to the tailgate, one of their engineers didn’t attach the terminals to the secondary battery properly, causing them to arc and melt the terminal. This was very dangerous and again, needed replacing. The oil leak has damaged his drive and his daughters. Was forced to have them professionally cleaned. When he complained they said he would be compensated for it, but the best they offered him was a free service, although he had already paid for services for the first 5 years. He has had several customer services people from Land Rover, but can never get hold of them again and they just pass the buck on to the next one. One of them who was supposed to be his point of contact didn’t even know which dealership his car was at being repaired. Genuinely the worst customer service you could imagine from what is regarded as one of the most prestigious car companies in the country. He paid for the Car upfront at a price of nearly £51000, in 2014, and it has spent nearly 7 months in the garage. It’s still only done 20000 miles. He was left without a courtesy car for 7 weeks, with nothing but empty promises of compensation, other than an extra years warranty. He is now ultimately too scared to drive the car a long distance, but feels it irresponsible to sell it to someone else as it could cause them harm.

I was driving my 2013 Range Rover Evoque earlier today and the steering failed and it started to makes a screeching noise. Fortunately no one was hurt but I was very disturbed by feedback I have received from x3 Land Rover garages. Each from my description of the fault has diagnosed it as a steering rack failure. One mechanic confirmed that this is a common fault and Land Rover recalled 2012 models to rectify this. I have been advised that there is a 3-4 week lead-time to fix due to a backlog in parts indicating that there is a high failure rate and the cost will be approximately £3,000 for a car that has only done 45,000 miles and 6 months out of warranty. I am in the process of ordering the parts but wondered if anyone else has seen this issue as I think it is highly dangerous and should be investigated. I have filed a complaint to the Driving Standards Agency, curious to see if anyone else has experienced this problem.

I purchased my Discovery Sport 5 years ago and the moment payments were complete and warranty was up the timing chain broke, damaged the valves and failed the engine entirely. This incident happened a few days ago on the highway (clearly safety issues here!) and I was lucky enough that I could pull over and stay in one piece. Vehicle was towed and dealership first told me in order to replace the valves and fix everything it costs 10,000 $. They then called again and said they dont even feel comfortable with that because it can fail again so the entire engine needs to be rebuild therefore cost will come to 20,000$!!Now to be clear, I have serviced this car year every year (64000 miles currently aka well below 100k miles) since purchase and have completed all the recommended replacements and services with the dealership asked me to do since 2015. In fact the question now is why at each service visit multiple parts had to be replaced (costing anywhere from 500-4000) and now at 5 year mark the entire engine fails!!! Do your research. I looked this up and there is a lawsuit in 2018, same incident right after the 5 mark warranty. The customers car shut down when the customer was driving (in NJ).Company should be paying 100% for this repair or simply buy this junk back from me and give me a new car. I am in a back and forth situation with the dealership. I called the company and they opened the claim for me but the person on the phone had the audacity to ask me well I am not sure what you want us to do here. They also havent bothered following up. No one made any comment about the safety either!! As of now it is clear to me the company does not back their own products and they failed to inform the customers about the issue or recalling it when they knew very well timing chain has ongoing issues. More importantly safety is not their concerns at all!!! This matter will be escalated on my part! Dont buy their product!!! Choose wisely and do your research. I will be happy to spread the word on every social media platform so customers are aware and know their safety is at risk!

Numerous problems with turbo not engaging. Several trips to dealership for computer resets etc. ** from the sales/service folks. Still left hanging in traffic with accelerator pressed, no response, then kick in and thrown back in seat. Most dangerous vehicle ever. Horns continuously blowing because I wont go at stop lights. Random overhead lights come on for no reason. If your brakes get close to 50% worn, you must replace the rotors! So Im about $1k into brakes at 34000 miles. Pretty is all its got going for it. Place that sold it to me for 41k offered me 31k 10000 miles later. And it still wont accelerate! Waiting on recall or to invoke the Lemon Law. Land rover service is so far behind BMW as to be in another category altogether. The L for luxury actually stands for Lemon when it comes to Evoque! I want my $$$ back!

In August of 2017 I special ordered a Range Rover Sport diesel. In 20,000 miles I have had in for service (only required once at 16K) on 5 different occasions. While the Dealership is fine, the car isnt. Its what I would call a major disappointment. One of the selling points for the car was the fact that it needed servicing only every 16,000 miles. What they didnt tell you was the car needed to be brought in approximately every 4,000 miles to have diesel fluid installed. Each trip to the Dealer takes about 2 hours to install the fluid (approximately 15 liters). This is the 5th diesel car that I have owned and the FIRST that would not make it from one service to the next without. In addition there have been 3 major software updates on the car since I have owned it. The bottom line is the car is overpriced and a pain to own. It is my first and my last. It is not a very reliable vehicle and certainly a headache to own.

Words cannot describe my frustration with the service I have received from
Words cannot describe my frustration with the service I have received from the various Land Rover dealerships here in DE and PA. Anything from not receiving a call back at all, selling me rims with chipped powder coating that they could not remedy, shop foreman telling me that my car does not have keyless entry when it did (and he was not able to get it working), to waiting almost 3 hours in the service department with nothing done on my car only to learn that the staff was out to lunch for most of that time... The list goes on and on. *By far the most unprofessional & disorganized bunch of meatheads I have ever met -- consistently bad experience between the below dealerships: Wilmington, DE, Willow Grove, PA, West Chester, PA.Im left to believe that this is just business as usual for Land Rover, which only reinforces the thought that I should have never left Mercedes and BMW (West Chester, PA). Those dealership service departments were PHENOMENAL!!! Going to ride out the remaining 1 year warranty then get back to a car that I know, can provide better service. I love my car, just hate the service Ive received to date. Good luck consumers.

The best brands that the car dealership has. They have different models in color and the colors are different from any other brand. It is good for the car. The appearance is good enough to show off to friends and family. The upgrade of this car is better if you only like to pay more for the car and it has better quality in the car. The brand has enough room for a whole family and for friends too.

This is our fourth Range Rover purchase, and our last. At only five months
This is our fourth Range Rover purchase, and our last. At only five months old it has had three software patches applied (some of the patches have taken 4-6 hours to download, last time my car was in service for three days). Today, the electronic screen froze again, but never reset after turning off and on, which meant no Bluetooth, no radio, no back up cameras, no navigation, no climate, nothing, just a frozen screen). I was told that ALL models from Land Rover are having epic failures in this area and it will be at least two weeks before the new patch is released, and could take a day of service to download it and apply it and so many people will need to have this software update done. Why has Land Rover not been proactive in contacting owners to let them know about this problem? I’m sorry, but spending 120,000 for a car, even spending 20k, deserves far better communication from corporate. I asked the service manager if sales associates are now warning all new buyers of the complete failure of software electronics, he said they started this week. He also indicated he is receiving a half dozen calls a day about frozen screens, SIM card failures, etc and we just have to wait for the fourth update to be rolled out... hopefully in the next two weeks but they do not know when. Shame on Land Rover for the lack of communication or acknowledgment of an epic failure, which has been going on for a long while given the reviews in the past year. According to the service manager the Vevlars are a disaster.Their answer was the electronic control panel is not necessary. We backed up before without cameras, we can pull off on the side of the road to call someone, so you don’t need Bluetooth, and you don’t need the navigation system because you can use your phone, and you do not need your radio, or fine tune climate in the rear... all true points, but at over a 100,000 dollars for a luxury car you expect those things to be working on a regular basis. We were planning on ordering a ‘19 Range Rover as another car, but now we will not. This is our last Range Rover.

Theres a lot of colors and styles to choose from. Its well built and has shiny paint, nice seats and dashboard. The setup of the whole vehicle is very stylish and comfortable. It has matching colors and easy to read. Also has bright lights in and out. The clock works and can be read easy. I love the radio, too. The windshield is perfect and clear, and powerful wipers. Also, the back up, brake and headlights are strong. There is enough leg room for all my long legged passengers. There is enough seat space to be comfortable, and can even carpool. You can customize it in anyway they have available. But I wouldnt change too much of the vehicle from its already amazing design. Simple and up to date is best. Moreover, safety is top in this vehicle.

WHY I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER RANGE ROVER SPORT. I have issue after is
WHY I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER RANGE ROVER SPORT. I have issue after issue with my problem Range Rover which I purchased new 2.5 years ago and has only traveled 52000 km. Including: Faulty Electronic Dash - This used to go blank so I had to stop the car, turn off, lock the doors so it would reset and the dash would come back on. Gearbox shuddered bad when turning. Electronic park brake lever come out of it socket so didnt work. Been into service department several times for faulty airbags. Rear passenger grab handle on the roof pulled out of the socket. Seems like small issue but could have taken an eye out. This should be a safety recall issue on all Range Rovers. All of the above items have been agreed to be repaired under warranty although the grab handle took several arguments with Land Rover as they said it was a wear issue and is still waiting to be repaired. The carpet has started splitting on the side wall off the drivers side console. Land Rover/Jaguar Australia and Bruce Lynton Southport have said this is wear and tear. The carpet is like brand new with NO WEAR just a TEAR. Land Rover/Jaguar Australia have refused to cover this under warranty. Currently the service symbol comes on when you first start the car. I told Chris from Bruce Lynton about this issue 3 weeks ago but still waiting for a call when they can fit me in. The quality of my Range Rover has been appalling. You would expect when you are paying a lot of money for a luxury car you would get quality but unfortunately not with my Range Rover. Being such a new Range Rover and having So Many Issues I shudder to think what else is going to fail in the future. PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS AS I AM SURE YOU WOULDNT WANT THEM HAVING SAME HEADACHES.

I have the following issues with the car: Engine light with decreased engine performance, multiple warning lights going on, failure of the heating system, and more. In the last year, I brought the car in at least 4 times and each time the car was returned to me not fixed and all the service personnel said was Drive it for a short while and it will work itself out. They charged the warranty repair insurance each time and fixed nothing. Most recently, I brought it in yet again for all these and for NYS Inspection. After 3 days in the shop - the dealer/service personnel returned it will all the warning lights and the heat still not working - said, We dont know whats wrong and we cant fix the car and we cant inspect it because of the warning lights. I said, But you are the dealer, you sold me the car, it is still under warranty, so what are my options? They said, We have nothing to say and we can offer you no solution. Complete incompetence and rudeness on top of that. I also suspect this is their business practice - to take in cars to the dealership for repair - bill the warranty service, not do the said repair and hope the consumer does not come back.

Purchased a new Ranger Rover Autobiography 2.5 yrs ago and from the first month has issues. Now been back to garage 25 times - 5 roadside assistance - servicing massive issue with failure to fix the issue so returning back into garage. Jaguar Land Rover fob you off and simply ignore your questions and concerns. Harwoods dealership told me to go and buy another brand as I clearly am never going to happy with the car. Its quite staggering. Now just finding out I am one of many. Wish I was aware of their unreliability before I purchased. Now stuck with car or facing a massive loss. NEVER BUY A CAR FROM JAGUAR LAND ROVER OR HARWOODS.

The variety of models is great. Land Rover lets you choose the car that right for you that fix your spending budget they have on the most perfect update models of the car. The features and appearance are one of the best things about a car, and the fact that you can get the possibility to design your own car is amazing and it seems pretty cool being able to upgrade your vehicle/car. It has space for the whole family but it would really depend how big the family is. It can fit in any normal family at 4-5 but not really a family of 8-9.
