Los Angeles-based Icon meticulously modernizes classic cars, but sometimes it leaves a layer of patina intact. Those cars are called Derelicts, and the latest one is a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL. Set to make its public debut at the 2022 SEMA show in Las Vegas, the silver sedan may look slightly weathered on the outside, but underneath the faded paint it's full of modern upgrades. Icon made a point of not touching the body shell, but mounted it on a new Art Morrison chassis that includes four-wheel adjustable coilovers and independent rear suspension. Brakes were upgraded with modern Brembo hardware and power assist, and Icon installed its own power-assisted, rack-and-pinion steering setup. The original engine was replaced with a GM-sourced LS9 V-8 crate engine. That's the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 used in the C6 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Icon didn't list output figures, but we know the standard engine makes 638 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque. That power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L85E 4-speed automatic transmission in the Mercedes. Icon Derelict 1971 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL Icon tried to hide the modified nature of the car, although the enlarged aluminum wheels are a bit of a giveaway. LED lighting is a more subtle exterior upgrade, and helps reduce energy consumption, Icon noted. The interior follows the same theme, looking mostly stock but concealing a modern audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, four Focal two-way speakers, and a dual subwoofer with amp. Icon didn't disclose a price for this specific car, but noted that its Derelict builds start at $450,000 and are available on a commission basis. So unlike Icon's series-produced Toyota Land Cruiser, Ford Bronco, and Chevrolet Thriftmaster pickup truck restomods, each Derelict is unique. Past builds include everything from a 1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud to an all-electric 1949 Mercury Coupe powered by Tesla tech.

Air ride failed within first 3 years of ownership. Changed all 4 air bags 2 times, yes 2 times over the course of ownership. Also changed air compressor. Then cooling system fan and radiator. Car had major electrical issues. Had a mind of its own. Sensors for backing up always went off while driving heavily annoying. Rear hatch door went window guides broke. A real lemon. It was totaled because water rose above the floor flooding out my computer.

I cannot express in words my disappointment and disgust in my recent experience with Mercedes-Benz. I will never own another model. It is certainly not what I would expect from a luxury car or a first-class dealership. I researched for several weeks before choosing to purchase and finally deciding on the GLA. The fact that it was a Mercedes made the decision easier for me as I knew it would be a car that would be flawless and have unmatched resale value. I purchase a new 2016 GLA 250 on July 18, 2016. After driving my brand new GLA for only 2 weeks, I took it in for an unusual wind noise coming from the drivers side window. I trusted that because the car was sold to me with an obvious factory default, the dealership would make every effort to remedy this problem and ensure customer satisfaction. I was heartbroken to be told that it could not, and would not, because the noise was due to the way the car was factory-made and attempting to do any repairs would void the extended warranty that I had purchased. To date, no one from the dealership or Mercedes-Benz has contacted me or made an attempt to remedy this situation. Unfortunately, because of this experience, this will be the first and last Mercedes-Benz I will ever own. The unfortunate thing for Mercedes-Benz of Beaumont, whether they realize it or not, is that my husband is a bank president in a small town about 25 miles west of Beaumont, that has three locations, and I work in a thriving school district in a town 30 miles east of Houston. Between the two of us, we know a great deal of people. We know first-hand, about customer service and how vital it is to a business, large or small. We intend to tell everyone we know of our horrendous experience with that dealership. To add insult to injury, I have since received an email indicating that I have received new inquiries on my credit, which may lower my credit score. It did indeed change my credit score by significantly dropping it several points. The report details show they are all due to inquiries from Mercedes Benz. After contacting MBUSA by phone and in writing, this is the response I have received: Hi Pam, thanks for your patience. Your comments have been shared with our colleagues at MBUSA and we regret to hear of your continued dissatisfaction. Our colleagues advise, that they have already confirmed their position with regards to your vehicle. For this reason, they will not be making further contact with you at this stage. We appreciate your understanding. Kind regards, your Mercedes-Benz Social Media Team. I have started the process to cancel my extended warranty and will be selling my GLA as soon as possible. I have reviewed the GLA on several websites unfavorably and plan to file a report with the Better Business Bureau regarding the horrendous customer service at Mercedes-Benz of Beaumont. For a company known for first class customer service and satisfaction, you should be embarrassed to have colleagues such as those at MB-Beaumont in your employ. I have since read countless reports of the same wind noise from other owners on various websites. DO NOT PURCHASE A GLA!!! As for me, I will NEVER drive another Mercedes. There are plenty of other luxury models to choose from.

Never again will I buy a new Mercedes. Our 2011 ML350 has only 22,000 on it as of today. We use it for vacation trips only and it is stored in a climate controlled garaged when not in use. We have had three major repairs in the 22,000 miles, mostly sensors failing that made drivability terrible. Also had to have a new computer installed after several trips to various MB dealers who could not seem to diagnose the problem.Latest problem is bad rattling noise from the front suspension. I took the car to an independent mechanic who has a stellar reputation who diagnosed the problem as upper front strut mounting failure. This was at 17,000 miles and in preparation for a trip to Florida we had scheduled and wanted to be sure it was safe to drive. On that trip I took it to a dealer in Raleigh, NC where our daughter lives to have it repaired (We have no dealer within 100 miles of us here). The dealer verified the strut problem and quoted over $1800 to repair, which was a shock to me as I assumed at 22,000 miles that the warranty would cover this. We were told the time on our warranty had expired by just a little bit and it would not be covered by warranty. I called MB USA and tried to get it covered since it was such low mileage on the car. They would only allow a 40% discount on the repair. I then took the car to the earlier mentioned mechanic who did the repairs for less than the 40% off price at MB dealers. Never again will we buy a MB or have this one repaired by a MB dealer. The build quality on this car is about as bad as owning a Yugo. I have much experience on automotive builds as my hobby is restoring antique cars and building hot rods. I have built several cars from the frame up and currently own two hot rods built that way (1953 Ford F-100 and a 1934 Chevrolet). The car club I belong to is who recommended the local mechanic I use now for all maintenance on my newer cars when I dont have time or equipment to do it myself. The MB was purchased by my wife as her car and we expected much more from such a high priced vehicle. Highly disappointed in Mercedes-Benz.

I would like to complain about an incident that I had with my Mercedes car and needed information is attached: copy of the car license including the chassis number, car owner name, car model, with the rest of the required data; pictures of the car after the incident to show the severity of the incident and to imagine the danger the passengers faced because of the weakness of the car body of the vehicle; picture of the car after the accident and after the body destruction of the car with the severity of the incidence and the fact that the air bags did not open at all which caused the passengers to suffer from extreme injuries; a scanned copy of the police report, including the part which declare the non opening of the air bag after previewing the police proof.First, weakness and negligence and recklessness and ill received of the complaints of clients, particularly the receptionist on the phone and example of this is the denial of the existence of customer service employee. After requesting to speak to the director, she transferred the call to the customer service employee in charge.Second, after examining the car at the workshop after the incident, there were specialists who refused to give a report about the situation of the car, and of deficiencies in the vehicle which caused the non opening of air bags which was extremely dangerous to the passengers. We require to have our rights back with direct compensation for the size of the injury to the passengers of the car in order not to damage the reputation of the company in Egypt or we will be forced to resort to the parent company abroad or to contact the legal authorities specialists in this matter to give us our rights. I require documented investigation with the staff of the company because of behaving in an inappropriate manner with the customers in a company such as Mercedes.

I recently received a declined letter for a Credit Mark dispute. I kindly asked Mercedes Benz Financial Credit department to please reconsider their decision, since Im not in concurrence with their final verdict. My record previous to applying for the Auto Monthly Payments were always paid on time, without a delay. My paid tracking record is impeccable, and Ive never missed a payment.I recently applied for the Auto Monthly Payments for my Mercedes Benz account and I requested the Auto Payment form. I received the adequate documents on April 7, 2014 around 4:50pm. Once I received the form, I submitted all paperwork via fax on April 8th, 2014. The reason I requested the form on April 7th, 2014 is because I wanted to begin the Auto Payments for the month of May 2014. In addition, I was aware that the May 2014 invoice was due on April 21st, 2014 which is the main reason why I wanted to expedite and begin the process early on April 8th, 2014 so my payment due on April 21st for the May 2014 invoice would begin immediately. On April 8th, 2014, I submitted all proper documentations via fax, including an attachment of a VOID check. I called Mercedes Benz several times to follow up if they received my fax and the representative said they would contact me if there were any issues or mishaps. I never received a call or notification. As a result of never receiving a follow-up call, I expected all the paper work to be set up correctly after faxing the forms. Also, I assumed the auto pay would begin effectively on a monthly basis beginning the month of May 2014.Unfortunately, I was never notified that they received my fax. After numerous failed attempts to get in contact with a customer representative, I was able to get a hold of an agent. The agent informed me that they indeed received the fax, but it was considered incomplete because the routing number and account number were in the wrong sections. I was never informed that the invoice due on April 21st for the May 2014 payment would be delayed because I had to re-submit the paperwork. The representative told me since they had to make corrections on my routing number and my void check, I should not worry about any late payments. I was only told to re-submit the paperwork so the Account number and Routing number would be in the correct section. This error should have not have delayed my April 21st, 2014 payment for the May 2014 invoice. Consequently, my credit score was lowered because of this erroneous matter. Im extremely appalled with the lack of comprehension from the agent and misinformation. My credit score should have not been affected, and it was! Now, the auto monthly payments are currently effective on my account, however, during the month of May the Auto Payment form was not effective due to the fact that there was a setback on Mercedes Benzs part asking me to resubmit the paperwork even though the information was all correct. After speaking with several Mercedes Benzs representatives, I did received several apologies for this inconvenience and was told that they do see on their records that I sent out all correct paper work with the void check as well as proof of me calling to follow up on the documents I faxed.Because my auto monthly payment plan was in fact delayed for the month of May 2014, this resulted in my credit score being lowered. I plead with you to please reconsider removing the credit mark of 30 days which affected my credit score. I never had a low credit score, and this is affecting my personal and financial life tremendously. Im disputing this credit mark because the initial request for my Auto Payments should have been completed on April 8th, 2014 and should have been effective immediately without any delay on payment. The forms were ALL complete, filled out with all the information needed to begin auto payments on April 8, 2014, including a void check which should have been enough information. My payment for May 2014 was never late. I re-submitted the revised documents when I was asked to, and I would really appreciate the credit mark being removed and corrected, as I have been a faithful and loyal customer and have an exceptional paying track record. And I would appreciate my credit score not being affected by this glitch that was due to inaccurate information. I would highly appreciate it if this important matter is being taken care of immediately, as its ruining my financial life.

January 30, 2014 I leased a 2014 C300 from Mercedes Benz of West Bloomfield in Michigan. Upon arrival while picking up my new lease I was advised that my car has been hit and damaged and I would not be able to pick the car up. I waited almost 2 weeks because the paint was being shipped from another country. After that I picked up my car and had no problems with it until June of that year. My first attempt of turning on my AC for the summer was a failure. The AC was not working on my brand new Benz. I took it in for service 5 times for the same issue and every time they assured me that the problem was solved only for it to happen again. Yesterday July 27, 2014 I was driving on the highway going 70 mph, 2 miles before my exit I decide to get off the highway, and thank God I did or else I wouldnt be writing this right now. As soon as I got off the highway my car went from 50 to zero in a matter of seconds.Thankfully I got off when I did or I would have died on that highway or I could have killed someone. Still in a panic I called my dealership and explained what had happened, they told me to contact roadside assistance and have the car towed there and that a loaner car was waiting for me. And so I made the call, I waited for them for an hour. My car could not turn on and it was 95 degrees outside. Finally when the gentleman arrived he loaded my car and we started driving. He then informed me that my car was going to the Novi location which was 30 mins away from where I was now. I explained that my car is to be towed to West Bloomfield, the driver stated that he could lose his job if he did not drive to Novi. I called roadside assistance and they spoke to the driver and told him to turn the truck around and take me to West Bloomfield, he did not listen. We finally made it to Novi, Im beyond furious at this point. The representative at the desk said, I dont have a loaner car for you, and the earliest we could look at your car would be next week. After an argument between myself, the tow guy and Novi dealership I got back into the truck and drove 1 hour in the opposite direction back to Bloomfield Hills. Upon arrival my loaner car was ready. I was then on my way. I then called corporate and advised them of what had happened. I also told them that I no longer feel safe in my car and I either want my lease terminated or to be put in a new car. Today they called me saying it was a computer problem (the whole computer burned out) and once they change the computer my car will be running fine again. I refuse to drive that car, Im waiting on a call from corporate. In conclusion, Mercedes Benz sucks!!!

I was a long time Cadillac man before the Escalades jumped over $75,000. I refused to compromise the quality of my ride comfort on a truck/SUV. I started with the GLC350, then on to the GLE350. This past year we went to the GLS450 and could not be happier. Mercedes of Tampa was a great help in understanding my needs and we were out the door in about an hour. TIME WELL SPENT.

Mercedes has had a problem with the 48 volt battery since, at least Jan. 2020. The battery shuts off and the car dies even while running. I leased the GLS 450 in April 2021. The car did not start in October 2021 and the 48 volt battery fortunately died while not in use. The message on the dash was “shut vehicle off immediately”. It was at the dealer for almost 3 weeks and of course no loaner was available. When I contacted Mercedes about leasing a defective car to me (which I could have just as well purchased), it took me 3 tries before someone got back to me. Then, they refused to pay the cost of my rental. They said had the GLS been in the shop 4 weeks they would have paid for the rental??? So I paid for the month lease and had the car 1 week plus paid $2000 for the rental. So very unsafe car and poor customer service. Really sad, it’s an $80,000 vehicle from what I believed was a reputable company.

2012 GL350 blue - An absolute nightmare of epic proportions. Purchased new from my dealer to drive to Georgia. Drove the following day to GA and back. Noticed oil all over my garage floor. Called dealer immediately and took in. Told loose oil line. This continued to happen four more times. Drove car very little. Had two other cars. One week before I was due to turn in was driving it and check engine light came on. Called dealer. Said couldnt get me in. To keep driving it, that it probably was just a bad sensor and happens all the time. I parked it over the weekend and didnt drive it. Following Monday took it to take my daughter to dentist, dash lights flash, power steering goes out, car is dead. Had towed to my dealer. Was told engine full of sludge. Engine blown and they can fix it for $30,000.00. Words cannot express my feelings in buying a $70,000 car and having a blown engine at 26,000 miles with no warranty. This happened in August. I renewed my lease and took to a certified garage for repairs. Came home to an orange notice two days before Christmas from a repo agent. I called immediately. No one would answer. Left two messages. Called MBFS said they were no longer going to honor the lease extension and want the car back. I explained to them the car is being fixed. You know where it is and have the whole time. They agreed. Such a horrible nightmare. Made all my payments. Fixing car which was not my fault to begin with. Have all records of leak from my dealership, also the oil all over my garage floor (lucky for me my dealership did provide me with degreaser as their solution to get the oil off the floor, which it didnt), also have letter from Mercedes wanting to take my car to their proving grounds in Ann Arbor Michigan; that they are running test on the Blue engine from 2012. I would appreciate anyones help. Too many details to list all here. Most unbelievable. So utterly devastated.

I recently purchased a SLK280 and have now found that it has a serious and well known engine fault. This was from EMS warning light and fault codes 1200 & 1208 which is for faulty balance shaft. I now understand that this is a well known fault of worn teeth due to material. I am now faced with a 5000 repair bill to repair this. The car is 2007 and has only done 22,000 miles! I have been told that Mercedes are not prepared to offer any contribution to this cost. This is my first Mercedes and one of the reasons I chose it was the perceived Mercedes quality and reliability. I am really disappointed to find a Mercedes engine falling apart after only 22,000 miles.

I lost my Mercedes E350 key. Ordered duplicate key, paid $100 for key and $170.00 shipping from Texas, I am not sure what kind of shipping they use. If I order two keys they said double shipping charge. So I settled for one. Key comes- it does not work. Call the dealer they said it never happened before. I need to get car towed. Call my insurance they sent a tow but he could not get car out of park. Then called Mercedes USA they sent a tow person. He said “I do not know”, finally I talk to dealer who got mechanic on the phone and gave him instructions. Car reached dealership, of course the key is wrong, got another key from Texas and it worked. It is amazing how after charging so much people can be doing such mistakes, no apology and no loaner. I was without car for 3 days after paying $300.00 for key and no fault of my own. I have Volvo and Lexus other cars, they never charge for inspection, but at Mercedes they charge me $29.00 for that also.

I bought a 20k mile C Class Mercedes from a main dealer in Brighton. Within 2 months of ownership, the brakes and discs all needed replacing. Mercedes UK claimed the parts were consumables and are therefore not covered under the warranty even though the car only had done 20k miles. The dealership finally replaced the fronts after 5 months of complaining but has refused to replace the rear. I also had issues over the alleged mileage on the car and the claimed servicing on the vehicle. Mercedes UK behaves like a back street dealer and refused to help. As a first time lease owner of my fist Mercedes C-class this was a huge disappointment. Prepaid for 2 services at the beginning of the lease just to find out that they expire 2 years after and not by the end of the lease how they made me think. Was only less than a month after my expiration that I took car for service B and now on top of my already paid $500 I must pay again. This is beyond dishonest and most terrible customer treatment Ive ever encountered. Called the office and spoke to Juan who was only able to get a partial credit for the service I now have to pay for the second time. How would you like paying for service twice? Also, on the phone with Mercedes customer service I was blackmailed by Juan (phone number: **) not to write my honest review about this situation or they would take away even the partial credit they just gave me that only partially covers my second charge for the same service I already paid for when I signed up for the lease! It was so unprofessional and disgusting to be blackmailed to stay away from writing this honest review that made me even more compelled to do so because I want to warn all future unsuspected new customers of how they will be treated as well. I will not be buying my future vehicles from them and so is my family. I only want to give my business to places that truly appreciate their customers and with lots of great competitors out there it will be easy to do. You dont want to be tricked, lied to, especially as a first time customer into something that will screw you later and they wont even care about it. Everyone should know before becoming a customer of theirs that they treat their customers in the worst possible manner without any care and with great amount of unprofessionalism by blackmailing them to speak the truth. Did not expect this coming from this car maker of this magnitude but be warned and stay away.

I have a huge issue with MB. I own a 2006 CLS 500. This was my dream car. I wanted this car so bad but when I bought it, it gave me nothing but problems. More than twice my brakes went completely out. I could not stop or slow my vehicle down, red light flashed on my dashboard saying stop reduce braking power. Do you know how scary that is to be driving on the freeway 65-70MPH & have a car cut you off & you cant stop or slow down because your breaks completely shut down, shut off. There was another couple times I was driving at 45-55mph on the street and Im coming up on a red light and I cant STOP my car at all, the breaks lock up. I feel so lucky me or my family riding in my car were not injured. Twice MB had to fix the recall SBC (Sensotronic Brake Control) on my car. Certain vehicles, the sensotronic brake control (SBC) system may prematurely shift to the hydraulic back-up function mode, due to deterioration of the wiring harness connection, or due to premature failure of the hydraulic pump.Twice they had to fix this problem. I dont feel safe in this car at all. But the icing on this cake is once I got my car out of the shop, I go to Costco & fill up my gas tank, come out from shopping and underneath the drivers side back, tire gas is leaking. Me & my family get in the car & it smells so bad of gas which isnt good for a toddler to breathe nor anyone to breathe in for that matter. So I take it right back to the dealership & they diagnosed the problem -- crack in my gas tank. So since Im catching on to all these car reviews online I do my research and come to find out that Im not the only one with this or these problems on my 2006 CLS 500. Mind you MB said the gas tank leak & replacement would cost me 3,000$ to fix. So Im doing my research and there is no recall, just complaint after complaint about this gas tank leak. MB insists if I dont fill up my gas tank all the way it wont leak. I couldnt afford 3,000$ for a problem I knew MB was responsible for. So Ive been driving around for 1yr & a half with a cracked gas tank.Dec 2015 Ive exhausted all my options. Now I cant register my car, the check engine light is on because of the crack in the gas tank. So I was recently doing more research and finally MB extended the warranty & is going to cover the gas tank problem after letting me drive around with a cracked gas tank for 1yr and a half -- doesnt sound very safe and reliable. Mercedes-Benz slogan is The Best or Nothing. I havent gotten the best customer service. Roadside is picking my car up today 12-8-15 & MB of Scottsdale AZ informed me since the gas tank is on back order 1-6 weeks and they can NOT give me a loaner car. But they are going to keep my car for 1-6 weeks till the part comes in & the service rep. informed me there is 13 people ahead of me waiting on gas tanks so really who knows how long this will take. I called customer service, they were of NO help. I called them a few more times explaining to them I will NOT have a car. How will I get to work?! They said borrow a friend or family members car (I live in AZ with no family here unfortunately). But how could this be my problem? MB service rep also suggested I can still drive my car till the gas tank comes in. But I explained Ive already used my extended registration from the MVD and I cant register my car without getting a smog and I wont pass smog because check engine light is on because of the Gas Tank Leak... MB customer service wont do anything to help. I asked them what would they suggest and they stay quiet!!! I NEED ANSWERS!! I cant afford to rent a car till when?! 1-6weeks?! They cant even give me a date it will be down, everything is just up in the air & Im ** out of luck.. I am NOT ok with the way Ive been treated dealing with MB. I thought it was The Best or Nothing. My problem still isnt solved. MB roadside is on their way to pick up my car & I still have no transportation. But my car needs to be at the shop so they can order the part. This is so ridiculous and absurd!!

I purchased a 2013 CPO C250. What sold me was the unlimited mile warranty. I had discussed with the finance dept what was and wasnt covered. I had also discussed what the car was to be used for. The purchase was Jan 5 2015. The car was in the shop a lot. I average about 65k miles a year. I had used the warranty several times without a hitch. 2 weeks ago my car was in the shop and I get a text from my writer saying, MBUSA has canceled your warranty. Come pick up your car. So I did. I arrived at the dealership and was amazed that they returned a broken car that looked like they parked it under a tree full of birds. Very tacky. Now, afraid to drive the car. I baby it every time I drive it. Of course thats no good. The car left me stranded last night in the middle of nowhere and dumped all the oil out. Seems a little convenient. Almost like they knew it would happen. I have been in the auto business for many years and have never seen a customer treated this badly. Thats not the whole ugly story but Im sure you get the gist of it. Big thumbs down for MBUSA. BTW, I sell German cars and we are a class act compared to this manufacturer.

Do not buy a Mercedes!!! I’ve owned them since 1990, in the past I’ve really loved these cars. I got great service from them and was always treated like a king by the dealer and Mercedes Benz Corp. I have been dealing with an issue since Nov 2017 with my S-Class. The dealer can’t seem to fix the issue and MBUSA is protecting the dealer. I will never buy another Mercedes. There are so many premium brands out there. Why would you want to spend money for poor treatment.

Attempts to repair were on 6-1-11, 11-16-11, 12-7-11, 1-10-12, 2-13-12 and 3-12-12 (currently there). Lemon law letter was sent on 2-21-12. No response to that at all. I purchased an E class in 2008, and got the hard sell about the extended limited warranty from the salesman, so I purchased it for more than $3,500, believing what the finance manager told me that it would be refundable, if the vehicle was sold or traded in before the extended limited warranty went into effect. In December 2010, my husband decided to trade in the vehicle, because an illness prevented me from driving it, and I requested a refund of the warranty as the vehicles factory warranty would not expire until April 2012. The dealer referred me to Mercedes Benz USA and they told me that the warranty was not refundable, as the warranty only allowed me to cancel 60 days after I bought the brand new car with a 4 year factory warranty. I kept telling them that this did not make sense and the 60 day rule for the refund would logically begin 60 days after the extended warranty went into effect. Mercedes corporate absolutely refused to budge from their position, and have pocketed my $3,500, without doing anything for my money. I have been a loyal MB customer for 20 years, and have purchased 5 vehicles in that time frame, and I find it unacceptable that the big international Mercedes corporation found it necessary to keep my money.

This dealership should be called the Pinocchio Mercedes Dealership because their deceptive practices are unbelievable. I leased a new Mercedes 2 weeks ago with the only requirement that Id be able to keep the same features of my 2019 car. They lied and cajoled me into a lease only to later find out that I had better features on my 2019 car. They agreed to return my car after going back and forth over the past two weeks after I was able to show that promises were made in writing that couldnt be delivered. So they promised to return my car that had 11,000 miles on it two weeks ago and take back the SUV that didnt have satellite radio or a decent set of speakers or the option of navigation. Today I return their car that I drove for 112 miles. They give me the key to my car which someone has driven almost 2,000 miles with all the filth of the employee that they allowed to drive my car. Everything about this place reminds you of a car dealership that relies on bait and switch sales. Even the manager, Katrina, who went out of her way to tell me that Mercedes would not take advantage of a senior citizen and that as an ** she treats everyone as she would want her ** older parents treated. This is not information that I solicited as clearly she was trying to demonstrate that she would never take advantage of senior citizens. Well if I was a betting woman I would bet that the only ** DNA that Katrina has is from an ** ancestor. The way a business treats current customers merely demonstrates how you will be treated if you lease or buy from this dealership. As a clinical psychologist I dont need to go out on a limb to tell you that if a person lies about something innocuous then they wont hesitate to lie to get your business. Shame on Mercedes for treating your customers with such disrespect and disdain. The fact that they couldnt be bothered to wash or vacuum a car that they drove to Timbuktu (in 2 weeks???) during a pandemic and never disclosed the wear and tear on my car by an employee tells you everything you need to know about Mercedes San Francisco!

This is my 2nd ML320, Yr. 2000, 63,000 miles. The first was a 98--a LEMON. Last week a man was checking the oil, and the hood suddenly dropped. Luckily, I was standing there and stopped it from decapitating him or causing a brain injury. However, it did cause a serious blow to the head. The Mercedes dealer in Tucson, AZ said this was a known danger. The springs/shocks wear out. Repair would cost $200. Mercedes Benz is negligent in failing to warn owners of this known danger, and knowing the danger exists, in not installing a security rod (as I have in my 87 Honda Prelude) in case the springs/shocks fail. Someone could be killed or decapitated if this heavy hood dropped on them. The Tucson Mercedes dealer was unwilling to lower the repair price from $200, so I took it to the mechanic who has kept my 87 Honda running for 28 years. He replaced the springs/shocks in the hood for $25 each, total $50. At the same time, to prevent a fatal accident or head injury, if the rear tailgate springs/shocks should fail, he replaced them for $30 each, total $60. So brand new shocks for both the hood and tailgate cost a total of $110, rather than $200 for only the hood as quoted by MB.In addition to this life-threatening problem, the sunroof does not work, the locks dont work, the rear windows get gummy if theyre rolled down, the plastic cover over the inside light on the tailgate falls off whenever we open the door, the automatic seat adjustment doesnt work, the air conditioner compressor died, etc. We are terribly disappointed in this car and in Mercedes for not standing behind their product, but rather charging exorbitant prices for repair. This is the second lemon weve had from Mercedes. Both were purchased NEW from the Tucson Mercedes dealer.

I leased a brand new vehicle GLA250 that has a random ghost acceleration that cannot be fixed. The front differential had to be completely replaced at 4,700 miles on it. Then the tires went bald at 5,000. Then the gym service manager Mark ** says the cars drivetrain can’t handle potholes and these types of problems are common with Mercedes Benz. Their insurance recommendation also refuses to cover this car. It’s been a nightmare as I also ran over the neighbors child as the car suddenly accelerated. Was told to leave the car running for 2 minutes before driving which obviously made no difference. The only excuse is they cannot replicate so they cannot help.Their insurance company says it makes no difference whether they can replicate the issue and should pull the unsafe vehicle from use. But instead they sent this email notifying me that they won’t help or resolve or even respond to the safety concerns “no guarantee that assistance will be provided.” Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is currently reviewing your request concerning the 2016 GLA250W4 bearing vehicle identification number **. We want to set a clear expectation that there is no guarantee that assistance will be provided. Our review process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks; during that time we will be evaluating a review of all repair orders, the number of down days related to those repairs, the overall repair history and your individual state’s statutes.

I placed an order for a Mercedes S class through a leasing company in October, for January delivery. Having placed the order I asked the leasing company for confirmation that the car had been allocated by MB. The leasing company suggested I complain to MB and ask them to confirm allocation. I had both written and MB at that time and they seemed to be responsive to my complaint. I then had a call from a woman from MD in Holland and she confirmed that the car had been issued for production, with delivery in Mid January. I contacted the leasing company who subsequently confirmed that the dealer still had no confirmation of allocation. My attempts subsequently to clarify the situation have been a complete waste of time. MB Europe now consider that it is not a problem they will discuss because I dont have a contract directly with them and now it seems the conversation I had about delivery in January is a figment of my imagination. It never happened. In other words I am either an imbecile or a liar. The attitude I get from MB is its nothing that they will comment on. Just completely abandon any responsibility to meet their obligations and commitments. They have the nerve to challenge what I say when I have it in writing. Anyway, needless to say, Im appalled that they just couldnt give a damn.

Cricks/Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast and my first van Lemon story had a mass
Cricks/Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast and my first van Lemon story had a massive impact on me and my business. When I purchased a brand new Mercedes Sprinter van I was immediately faced with continuous faults, breakdowns and issues with the engine and the mechanical working of the vehicle. After months of Cricks mechanics working on my vehicle and replacing parts constantly due to many different mechanical issues, Mercedes (Melbourne) representatives decided to inspect my vehicle whilst another harmonic balancer was being installed (this was the 5th one replaced!). This vehicle directly impacted on the success of my business and cause massive grief for me during this period as I purchased the vehicle believing what I was told by the sales staff ie; a very reliable vehicle for my mobile business. My experience during this time was that I was advised that my van would be repaired ‘as good as new’ by close of business that day (2012). I was then contacted approximately 5 minutes before close of business that it was not ready and they needed to order another harmonic balancer. This was the fifth one replaced and would be another 4 days?! This van had been towed 10 times during the first 8,000 kms. I have so many stories about my customers having to push this van out of their premises. I was continually forced to wait for tow trucks, wasting hours/days of business time. This van spent more time in Cricks workshop than on the road. This van had so many issues and gave me so much hell, as well as impacting on me, my health, my family and most of all my business. My business is a mobile business and I was definitely not mobile due to this van.One particular incident that I will never forget, was when the van just stopped, ‘turned off’ in the middle of the D’Aguilar Highway and a truck almost hit me at highway speed, missing me by cm‘s - an extremely frightening event! When I finally was able to negotiate a new agreement for the lemon that I bought, I thought this was the beginning of a new start for me - not knowing my nightmare had just begun all over again. I thought my new van was perfect, faultless and not thinking that Garry Cricks would let me down again.I believe that they have not serviced my vehicle correctly, not repaired faults, and treated me extremely poorly and deliberately told me false information. MB Sprinter Van is the worst vehicle I have ever bought! Had it 5 months and has been towed 10 times in first 8000km. And this was my fifth harmonic balancer to be replaced. I am on my 2nd Lemon. Most unreliable van ever! - we are forced to make repayments on a vehicle that sits in the workshop being repaired constantly. Garry Crick Maroochydore the Dealership that sold us the van do not reply to our complaints, cannot give us any help or assistance and lie. The dealer was just as bad as the car. That‘s another story I want to forget. When buying a new Van record everything they say. It will help you later. When I started to talk about the problems, I found many others that were as bad or worse than mine. I thought paying the extra money would get me a quality vehicle. Not worth the extra money and certainly not the quality that the name live up. This is unacceptable and a result of the deliberate engineering of products so they only last for the warranty period. This is deliberate exploitation and blatant theft. We are sick of it. We bought a new Mercedes Sprinter so we wouldnt have these problems.Let‘s take this to court. We need as many people to come forward as possible. If you are one of many please message me: **. I am interested in collecting owner information of those individuals or companies who have had major expenses & Faults in maintaining Mercedes Benz Sprinters and cars, who would be interested in being included in a class action lawsuit again Mercedes Australia.

I bought my used 2002 Mercedes Benz c230 about a year ago with a small used car loan. Everything seemed to be okay with the car but that only lasted about 500 miles. Everything on this car is broken. My dashboard is dry rotted and chipping away, the side door panels just come off when trying to open them up from the inside. Everything I touch literally just falls apart in my hand as if its been put together with Paper glue! The controls that open and close the windows have literally just popped off and are hanging there! I have electrical problems, my windshield wipers dont work (I live in Florida), my air conditioning doesnt work... Ill be driving down the road and my engine just turns completely off and I lose all power to everything including steering. My SRS light is on so I have no locking seat belts, airbags or horn. The car is literally a death trap, I seriously am concerned for my safety driving it and to fix all these defective things that are happening is going to cost probably 100 percent of the worth of my car. Im a hard working person, and this car has been nothing but a big hole I throw my money into. Im still paying it off so its getting parked and Im biking to work. Thanks, Mercedes for ripping the public off with this piece of junk!! Btw the car has only 70,000. I owned a dodge neon with 215000 miles on it that ran better than this!

We own a 2009 C300, with 4matic transmission. The car started to make a grinding noise which was being emitted from the center of the car. The car only had 60,000 miles at that point. We took the car to our family mechanic, and he told us it sounded like it was coming from the transmission and he advised we take the car to the dealer. We took the car to Mercedes of Danbury CT. They told us we needed a completely new transmission, and the price was $7,500. We told them it was outrageous that the car needed a new transmission at 60K miles. They told us the warranty only goes until 50K and there was nothing they could do.The dealer told us the car was probably not taken care of, but we took very good care of it. We had Mercedes of Nanuet (the original dealer) look up the records to prove that the transmission service had been performed right on time, and that the car was very well taken care of. In a desperate attempt, we called Mercedes USA. We talked to a regional manager and told him the whole story. The result was they were willing to discount the repair to $6000. We told them this is unacceptable. Given the car had been well serviced, the issue indicates an engineering problem with the transmission. A quick google search will show that many people have the same issue with the transmission. After Mercedes refused to do any better, we took the car back to our family mechanic. He opened up the transmission, replaced the bearing that had failed, and charged us a total of $1,000. In his opinion the transmission has a design flaw. You would think a luxury automobile manufacturer such as Mercedes Benz would treat you well. Obviously that is not the case. We will be selling the car, and will never purchase a Mercedes Benz again.

The turbo of my B Class has failed for the second time in just more than a year. The clock is on 62,000 km. Both times, Mercedes has towed the car in but didnt even ask if I need a courtesy car. I have to travel 40 km to work and back. I had to collect my car myself in Pretoria, 100 km from where I stay. Mercedes gave me a reason why the turbo failed each time and each time their comment was that it never happened before with a B class. If that is the true, it means my car is a defected car and actually should be replaced. They only give the reasons and stopped at that. Im not satisfied with just an answer from a company that is supposed to be one of the finest in the motor business. My husband bought me a Mercedes because its one of the best, but my trust in my vehicle on the road is ruined and I am scared for the next time the turbo fails, the car lost power and had a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust. Fortunately, I was near the school where Im teaching and could reach my destination. What if my car lets me down on a deserted road and Im alone? I really want somebody to give me more than an excuse and with a practical solution to my problem.

They replaced it on guarantee. One month after, same problem with the pump happened again. They replaced it and said that if it happens again, it is my problem and they will not look at it again!! Now the car has 170000 km and it does not change gears. I have to stop the car in the middle of the road to switch the engine off to reset the computer and start it again. It happened a couple of times during the day. The central locking is not working either. The suspension is making a terrible noise when I go over bumps. This is the ** car I ever had!! I have a 2009 Smart car and the paint top clear coat is peeling off all over the car. If you google this issue, you will see that many of the Smart cars have paint issues, especially the red ones (which mine is). I called the Smart headquarters and I was instructed to apply for the Goodwill out of warranty process. I went ahead and got the estimate from their approved Auto shop and submitted that. I received a call today from Adam from the Mercedes-Benz headquarters and my request to have the car painted was denied. I saved for 3 years to purchase that car new. It now looks terrible and Mercedes-Benz has to know that this is an issue with their Smart cars. So, now I ride around in a crappy looking car. When people ask me how I like my Smart car, I take them for a walk around my car and then inform them that Mercedes-Benz will not back this issue up. I am very disappointed with their customer service. You would think that it would make more sense for them to fix the problem, versus me riding around in a crappy looking Smart car. Clearly, they dont care about their customers and keeping them happy. I would never recommend any Mercedes-Benz dealership. I should have bought a Subaru based on their excellent customer service.

If I could give no stars - I would. I bought a used SLK (2 years old) with the usual approved mercedes talk that went with it and at the check list showing what work had been carried out before I took delivery. The salesman told me that it was one owner. Turned out to be two when the log book arrived. Mercedes are washing their hands of this lie as the sales man has now left, although I did tackle him before he left and he was looking into it.The tyres were delivered with the check list showing 6mm. 5 months and a puncture later they were 2mm. Again Mercedes have no interest as the tyres are still legal and are not taking any responsibility for my tyres evaporating. I have done 1000 miles in this time. No way on earth have they used 4mm tread, but Mercedes wont budge. They are legal and thats it. I had a wheel taken off and it had to be hit with a hammer to move it. The mechanic recommended I had them greased during my next service, but on the check list it is showing that they had been removed and greased. The car now sticks in a low gear when travelling in slow traffic. Its been back to Mercedes twice. They havent found a fault and apparently no fault is showing on the computer but they have done 200 miles in my car to check it and the last time was delivered back to me covered in mud. I am 4 miles away from the service centre. They have offered to pay for me to have it cleaned (take to a car wash effectively). This is the worst service I have had from anyone anywhere. Mercedes customer service are just weird with their random phone calls that last about an hour but resolve nothing. They dont care about their customers and that it pretty much it. Ive told them that what they need to say is Im very sorry that you are unhappy and we will make sure that your queries are responded to and explained. Purchased my 2014 C300 a week ago. Has 10,000 miles. Traded in my 2011 C300 with 75k miles. Had 2 other previous Mercedes also, 2002, 2009. All had approx 75k miles when traded and NEVER an issue with previous 3 cars. 2014 has the ECO start/stop feature which if you research is not a FEATURE but a problem. Roadside Assistance tech who came out yesterday to try to assist me was floored when he could not even jump start it as he believed the starter was gone. He called Tow company, who also could not jump and gave same opinion, crazy that the starter could be gone! The ECO start/stop is believed to be the cause and if you read other problems it does a number on the wear of a battery and starter due to the excessive starting and stopping compared to vehicles without this!!! VERY IRATE AND DISAPPOINTED out of my new car for 2 days and everyone is sorry for my inconvenience.

We have over a dozen sprinters and our 2 new 2016 models have been in shop several times for major work in warranty and every time now Mercedes Dealers say it bad fuel and I heard of this that Mercedes was telling dealers to use this line to avoid paying for warranty work. We have engine OBD monitors so we know more than the average. Would like to hear from others and working on a class action against Mercedes. I did call Mercedes to complain will not call me back.

I just purchase a 2015 C63 AMG S. The moldings are falling off the car under the door. The car was taken to their body shop and the molding were replaced. A week later they started to come off again. Today I took the time to go to the dealer and talk to the shop foreman about this issue. We both agreed that the molding and lower panels are made defective and there may be no fix for this problem. I hope that Mercedes comes up with a fix soon or I will have to replace this car asap. It seems that the quality of their product has gone down the tube.

When you paid premium price for purchasing and routine maintenance of a MB
When you paid premium price for purchasing and routine maintenance of a MB 350E, you expect a solid car with good quality. You would be wrong! My 2011 MB 350E has shown poor quality of materials. The control buttons of the steering wheel were wrapped with a piece of plastics and starting smearing. Moreover, the car seat cover has been torn apart, while the main driver of the car is lighter than 120 lb and the car has been parked mostly in garages. You can see that in the attached photos. I have never seen a premium car deteriorated so early so fast. It seems that the car was built with too many low quality artificial materials, or plastics, and not built to last! Maybe MB is expecting people to spend money every other year to buy a new one. Well, with such poor quality, people may have to to buy a new car in a year or two after an MB, but another brand!

I bought one brand new diesel Mercedes 250 C-Class and I want to know is it standard safety feature in countries where they keep left to have a pull to left if you leave the steering wheel? I complained to them and they are always so nice that I could not complain strongly. Besides, their team convince me its wonderful. This one year my mental peace has gone and I am using antidepressants (I am a doctor) to keep my balance. I have lived in USA, UK, Australia. I know about high-end cars. Now I want your help. How to help the Germans to improve their car technology? I want to donate my car to them to improve their technology. No conditions applied. They should not feel ashamed because I am helping them so that so many other customers will be benefited.PS. First month servicing, they said alloy wheel bend is there (are they made of alloy or alumina?), and slowly, one of the tires developed one bulge. Later, 2 more. Please help me to improve the great GERMAN MERCEDES BENZ CARS. NO CONDITIONS APPLIED. I ABIDE BY MY LETTER.

I am contacting you on behalf of my brother who owns a Mercedes C220 CDI Avantgarde since December 2009. After being told that the galvanized steel is rusting on the rear wings, it broke down - unable to start. The garage replaced the alternator, water pump and the belts, but while returning home, some dashboard lights indicated another fault. He was told not to drive it as a risk of fire. Another garage re-wired it and told him it had been on fire previously. Once again, on the way home, the faults showed up on the dashboard so he had to take it back to them once again. Now, the garage is having to look further into the problem. However, when he got the car, he was not told that the car had been on fire. My brother is not happy because it has cost him 845 pounds. Until now, I would be grateful if someone can get in touch with him. Thanks.

Have been having different issues with vibration on braking, worn front tires. Ive had my Mercedes S550 since 4/14 and I brought it into service 3 weeks ago to check the vibration and pulling to right. Service Tech. informs me its supposed to pull to right some and tire looked fine, dont need new tires. I just returned for my B service and Service calls to tell me I need 2 new front tires. Only $980 for 2 tires! I am furious. Needless to say I wont be replacing with Continental MOEs because of all the bad news out there about them and I wont be purchasing from Mercedes Benz! I do have photos for reference.

Took the car for a thorough checkup prior to the factory warranty expiration. This car has only 25,000 miles. Service agent said car checked out fine. She did some minor work. To my dismay 4 months later there is an oxygen sensor issue and the engine light is on indicating either sensor or a computer panel issue which could cost thousands. The service agent Lorena was extremely rude and even told me why dont I have my friend who tested this and found out, fix my car since its out of warranty. This is unbecoming of Mercedes Benz and she should not be working there period.

I bought a new E550. MB promises that their mbrace plan is included in the price of a new vehicle for the first 6 months. Yet, for activation, they insist on a credit card number. When challenged why they need a credit card to activate something that was included in the price of the vehicle, they say its their policy and that after five months, I would have the option of not continuing with it. I find this reverse marketing unacceptable - that is, you have bought something unless you cancel it in time. A credit card is not a legal requirement in the US. I could have chosen to pay through a bank account etc. MBUSA talks nonsense about their interest in my well-being with mbrace to which I say, activate what I have paid for without demanding a credit card number and make mbrace free for the life of ownership. Obviously, mbrace is more interested in marketing and receipts than my well-being.

When I purchased my new car in 2005, I wanted it to be special. My initial thought was to purchase a Toyota Camry. But after test driving a Mercedes (just for fun), I convinced myself that if Toyotas were great cars, then Mercedes Benz would be an excellent car. I really thought that MB would have better engines. But now that my car is non-functional at less than 100,000 miles, I wish I would have stuck with my first instinct and bought a Toyota. After reading different class action lawsuits, I find this to be a common problem with several MB models. I realized MB cars are not as good as I thought or had claimed to be. I am very discouraged with engineering technology on this car. I can’t imagine paying almost the same amount I owe to repair the car. But I honestly don’t see myself purchasing another MB vehicle again. I hope for MB to take care of its customers, as I have heard other dealers such of Toyota, Jeep and Ford taking care of theirs. I want Mercedes to get me in a new car, fix my car or purchase it off from me.

Remote starter only works 1/2 the time. It gives you a error and tells you to try later. Called tech support many times. They get it working for a while and does same thing. Also you cannot remote start unless you have a 1/2 tank of gas or more. That is stupid. I always have to fill up to use the remote starter? I could understand if gas light was on. But that is ridiculous. Also run time is only 10 minutes. In new England cold that is not even close enough to warm car up.

I purchased my C230 Mercedes Benz from Ed Hicks Mercedes in Corpus Christi,
I purchased my C230 Mercedes Benz from Ed Hicks Mercedes in Corpus Christi, Texas in 2007. For over two years, I took my car in for service whenever the service maintenance light would come on, indicating that the service was due. In 2009, after having service maintenance performed at Ed Hicks Mercedes Benz dealership, I asked a friend, who is a mechanic, to check my vehicle to see if the maintenance I was charged for was indeed performed. After taking off the unit that shows the air filter, it was clear that it had not been replaced in several years with all the bugs and dirt that had collected on the filter. Next, the oil filter was pulled out and it was clear that the oil had not been changed in several months, even though I just had the oil change less than 4 hours ago. On the maintenance receipt, it clearly shows 6 quantities of oil change. C230 maintenance book shows 5.8 quantity of oil per vehicle. After checking other C230 maintenance receipts, I found out that I was charged 7 quantities, on others, I was charged 8 quantities of oil for my car when it can only hold 5.8 quantities of oil. My question is where were the additional quantities of oil being used for if not for my car?I drove my vehicle for over two years believing that the maintenance I was paying for was being done. I now know that they were not. I contacted Ed Hicks with my findings and they admitted that the oil change and filter was not replaced. The service manager was present when I took my car in. He saw for himself that the filter had not been replaced and the oil had not been changed. The mechanic told the service manager that he had an emergency that day and just forgot to complete the maintenance. However, Ed Hick refused to refund me the maintenance they have charged me for the job that was not performed. I need a lawyer that can help!

2010 C-300 4matic - I purchased my first MB in August 2014. Very excited and happy as this was the car I had always wanted. I have not even made my first car payment and the car was not shifting properly then on my way to work acted like it was in neutral. I pulled over and called roadside assistance. Car towed to dealership where I have been told the transmission is gone. I do have a warranty on this car; however; I was told that they could not locate a transmission in the whole United States. I was given a loaner and told it would be a while before my car would be ready. I feel like I am being fed a line of garbage. I do not trust that this car will be reliable. I am at a crossroad as to whether I wait for this vehicle to be repaired or do I demand a refund and find another car. I am so disappointed and disillusioned with what I thought was going to be a dream come true. Any advice?

Isnt this a serious safety issue? Why not Mercedes Benz of USA not recall this issue and fixed the problem? People can be killed on the highway when this happens? This happened to me almost five times up to now. I called both dealerships and they cant take the car until middle of next week as of today (December 23rd, 2011). At the age of 57 on January 3, 2013, I had my 1st heart attack and decided life was too short and I shouldnt wait to buy my dream car any longer! So purely out of fear I went out and purchased my 1st Mercedes ML350 2010 @ Mercedes-Benz of Greenway, Houston, TX on January 28, 2013. Ever since I was a young boy my dream of success was to own a Mercedes Benz. I believed in the brand, quality and safety! I should have done my homework and searched the internet for any negative comments on Mercedes-Benz. If I would have known then what I know today after reading thousands of complaints, recalls and lawsuits, I WILL HAVE NOT PURCHASED a Mercedes-Benz EVER!!!Why I say this??? Because after 1 week of having this vehicle its been a sequence of malfunctions and headaches! Its been HELL and in the service department over 11 times 6 of them for the same thing!!! After so many trips to the dealer, have them check it, have the computers check it, have MB expert Techs check it, after so many conversations with so many managers, in the service dpt. at Alex-Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz in League City, TX and a case a manager Jennifer in customer service @ Mercedes Benz North America, NOTHING has been found by their computers. In other words Mercedes Benz mechanics, techs call them whatever you wish are only computer error codes readers and parts changers! They have no idea of the problems unless their PRECIOUS computer tells them whats wrong with the vehicles! I am exhausted, ready for another heart attack! Its not only all the inconveniences and stress this has caused my family, myself and my work, its also and the most important part of this problem, OUR SAFETY!!! Warning light comes on: a) Front Passenger Airbag Disabled, See Operators Manual; b) Front Passenger Airbag Enabled, See Operators Manual; c) ESP warning light also comes on (ESP stands for Electronic Stability Program)!!! The manual instructs you to take it to nearest dealer A.S.A.P. Mercedes-Benz does not want to honor their factory guarantee 4 years, 40,000 miles! According to Jennifer (case manager) at Mercedes-Benz North America Im not under factory guarantee, this vehicle today has 30,221 miles! I also have the Certified Pre-Owned warranty, this is meaningless to them! I have asked time and time again to exchange this vehicle that we are very scared to drive! God forbid theres an accident and the passenger in my vehicle get seriously hurt or worst, there is no money in the world to recompense a loss of a loved one!!!Ive asked all of them managers to write me a letter and guarantee me that the airbags will deploy in case of an accident and they all declined! I tried to speak with Mercedes Benz of Greenway (this is where I purchased this LEMON) and to add insult to misery, they wanted to make even more money off from me! They are a total joke! My salesman Rik is a total disappointment! After trying to speak to him on several occasions, he asked me to go through their legal department (company policy) all because I asked him if I should be looking for an attorney (thought for a moment there he was my friend). Nice going, MB of Greenway, make the sale and later bully people with your legal department! Now Im left with no other choice as to hire an attorney and sue them, they sold me a LEMON and they know it, theyre just making time for the guarantee to run out of time! Let me tell you people, Mercedes-Benz has sacrificed their quality for quantity, their integrity for money, their customer service for bullies!

My vacuum pump and hydraulic system on the trunk locking mechanism has failed. Cannot open trunk with any of the three methods of design. The Dealer laughed at me and said it would cost me over three thousand dollars to fix everything and that was a guess. No help at all other than they said I had to drill out the key hole with tumblers and try to manually open it that way. So I drilled out the mechanism on a car that cost over 120,000 thousand dollars to get into my trunk. Now the problem is the dealer would not code my key to a used lock and said I had to buy one from them at over 500 dollars and they would key that one to my lock. Then I would still have to pay to fix the vacuum pump and hydraulic pump to use my trunk. Frustrated due to the fact of price gouging and poor design from the engineers to make a trunk that is very difficult to open. I cannot lock my car or trunk because it has a smart key that is extremely difficult to use. I will never buy another Mercedes-Benz car again. I will also encourage everyone I know not to buy one.

And the most beautiful is that it is a famous brand and loved by many people. What makes me choose his/her brand among others is its many advantages including speed, internal features, ease of use, and abundance of refrigeration, making it easy, and available. What I do not like about the Taraz and often bothers me is the lack of the characteristics of the symmetry of the flash and the frequency of the circulation of many people and more than the same quantity of its price in the market.

I have a Benz E350 2006. I just had a new transmission put in at over $6,000.00...... My check engine light then went on of which I was told it was the balance shift gears. (Mercedes-Benz currently has a class action lawsuit complaint filed for this issue for some of their cars with this problem as well as faulty engines & idle gears..... CONSUMERS... check this out... Do your research! I will be joining the class action lawsuit when I get my car back.) It was then going to cost me $5,500.00 by a Mercedes Benz dealership to replace the Balance Shift gears.... I also had an auxiliary battery replaced AND 2 cam sensors to see if the check engine light would go off.... It did not. I now have to replace the Balance Shift gears so my car will pass emissions inspection. The Mercedes Benz car I own, based on my experiences, IS NOT worth buying. Mercedes Benz needs to be responsible for faulty equipment. Mercedes Benz DOES NOT have the reputation it use to, in my opinion. I will never buy another Benz.

Upon returning from being at Church all day Sunday February 16, 2020 730 am to 730pm. I parked the car in my garage, an hour or so later I realized I forgot something in the car. I own a Mercedes C300 2015 and I have maintained my car with regular services as per Mercedes. All of a sudden my car starts shaking to the point is unsafe to drive on freeways. Somehow I took it to Mercedes Benz of San Jose and I was told that piston and connecting rod need to be replaced and gave me a quote of 11K and mentioned, We are not sure if problem is limited to piston, it can be the whole block but we can’t say until we tear apart your engine. This car is being serviced at the dealer and they never mentioned that early C300 have wrist pin issues in their engines and they have a service bulletin for the same. Mercedes denies to take responsibility for this issue. On top of that my AC smells like dead rat. Again my dealer never mentions anything about lawsuit against Benz. To all reading my post if your car AC smells like dirty sock/rat there is a lawsuit against MERCEDES and they will have to fix it. For all owners of C300 take your car to dealer and have them inspect your car for POTENTIAL PISTON FAILURES and have that written in your JOB SHEET for FUTURE. Mercedes has been the worst unreliable and they are lying regarding their known issues and then not taking any responsibility for inferior quality of their parts.

Still arguing with #Mercedes about the mold building up and smell in the AC system on the 2016 GLC300. Had this issue since new! They will not stand behind their products even though there’s a class action lawsuit. Everything in the lawsuit says they have to pay for future repairs, yet every dealer refuses to do it. Any attempt of remediation results in being re-read the terms of the settlement, and then transferred all over the place until there’s no solution. I have two Mercedes I bought new: an E300 in 2017 and a GLC300 in 2016. These will be my LAST Mercedes cars. I purchased my Mercedes Benz (MB) Metris in 2018, new. 1 month after the warranty expired, I had an ABS sensor go bad. The van had 18,000 miles on it. It was replaced and the next day the ABS light came on again. Thinking it was a faulty sensor I returned it to the repair shop. They called to tell me that this time it was the other wheels ABS sensor. For a vehicle I had purchased specifically for the reliability and dependability I was extremely disappointed that these sensors would go bad so quickly. This is a MERCEDES. My mechanic suggested I contact the dealer. I have called the dealer 6 times, and each time they have said someone in their service department would get back to me. I gave them 1 week after each call to get back to me. I have never had a return phone call. The last time I called I asked for the manager. Again, promised call back, with no call. Then I reached out to make a written complaint on MB of America, still no response. I finally called MB of America customer service and did speak to a very nice man who agreed, this is not a normal thing to occur. He researched to part to see if there was a recall, none found. Then he proceeded to only provide a case number for reference if it happens again... This cost me almost $1000 dollars and I dont believe I should have incurred this expense on a vehicle with only 18k miles on it. For a vehicle maker who claims to be responsive, Im not feeling satisfied.

I purchased a 2016 “Certified” Mercedes Benz GL550 with low mileage. Like maybe 22,000 miles? This is my 4th Mercedes I purchased and got serviced through MB dealerships. Two were new. Two were certified pre-owned. I did not even haggle with Silver Star Mercedes in New York on the price. I purchased a number of upgraded warranties, bringing the total up almost to $80,000. This vehicle was advertised as “certified.” That includes a 27 point checklist on the exterior of the vehicle. When the vehicle delivered to me, I sent pictures to the dealer within an hour of receiving it.There were a number of issues. I sent pics and contacted them, including the owner. The GM, Rob, got back to me and left a message. I tried contacting him back many times, left messages and never got hold of him. Finally, I left a message suggesting he text or email me a time he is available to speak. No response. So I contacted the owner again. No response. I live in Pittsburgh so I couldn’t just go there. Finally, I called a Mercedes Benz US customer service. They said I have to work through the dealership to resolve it. I told them I have tried and they won’t respond! So I tried to call Mercedes a Benz Customer Service another day, hoping another employee would be more helpful.Again, he told me I had to work through dealership for resolution. I said AGAIN that they won’t get back to me. They wouldn’t even call them for me and ask them to please respond. Like I said, this is my 4th Mercedes, with each getting more expensive! I was considering buying a G-Wagon, but forget it! I’m DONE with a Mercedes! I’m going back to BMW. I NEVER in a million years expected such a terrible experience from Mercedes! The damages were only about $1,500 to fix. My local dealer was appalled and got me an estimate. Never buy a Mercedes if you are buying a certified vehicle that you hope the company stands behind!

Nightmare experience. Was so excited to get my GLA 2015 4 years ago. I had been warned about repair costs but it is outrageous! I was driving on the highway, the car stopped accelerating and smoke went out of the back. The check engine light never came on. I was informed that it needs a new turbo and a water pump, $4700, and there “might” be engine damage. Both have been replaced and the check engine light is now on and the car has been in the shop for two weeks. The mechanic does not seem to know what’s going on or when I will get my car back. I will be getting this disaster of a junk box off my hands ASAP... Total money pit.

Ive just purchased a 2012 ML350. Though the ride and the overall quality of the vehicle is nice, the door lock on the passenger door came defective. Weve had to wait over a week to get the part to fix the problem, but the auto-lock function does not work. A company like MB cant even get a simple thing like the door lock. Its going to be serviced again, which my car will be in service more days then driven. This ruins the new car buying experience. I bought the car through Dez at Long Beach MB. I had the service done at House of Imports in Buena Park, CA. Not only I had to wait over ten days for the part to arrive, when it arrived some parts were missing, so I had to wait over the weekend and then some to get my car back. When everything is thought to be fixed, it wasnt. The consequence of this defective part and questionable workmanship is having the new car buying experience ruined and it ruined the image of MB. This is my third MB, and this is not something that happens to supposedly one of the most luxurious brands in the world. ML may not be their best car, but it may well be their most important vehicle this year. I cant understand how this could happen to a MB vehicle. Id understand if it was made in China like vehicles.

Happy Saturday evening. My prayer is that Mr. Stephen Cannon reads this email and as president and CEO works to resolve this problem. I own a 2006 R 350. My problems started with the suspension air parts that cause the car to look as if it has a flat tire, when it doesnt. It looks as if the tire-rods or shocks have failed. With this problem, when one goes bad and you fix it, the other automatically goes bad, so you MUST change BOTH sides. This is not a cheap repair. Actually, nothing about MB is a cheap repair. Once I had that done, the CAM shaft went bad. For this my car has been in the shop for the past 3.5 months. Now after practically rebuilding the engine, the problem is still not resolved. It cant be resolved, because all the parts were manufactured bad so when you replace one part something else goes bad. Ive found online that most if not all of the 06 and 07 R class models have had this same problem, MB is aware and have not recalled the cars. Over $6000 worth of new parts and labor, yet my car is still not fixed. These cars or at least mine should be recalled and the owners should be reimbursed for this literal pain and suffering. I have been terminated from my job and unable to get another because I dont have transportation. This was not my first MB. I have had 4, but this certainly may be my last if I cannot get any resolution to this. I have sent 2 emails. This is the 3rd to MB and was assigned a case manager. She called me 2 times. Ive called her more than 10 times. All I get is a person on the phone that says, I see that you left her a message. Is this the number where you can be reached? I say yes and that ends the call. Ok she will call you today. I attempted to reach MB via a BBB complaint, but they arent affiliated. LOST WITH A R-CLASS LEMON. Its sad that you dont acknowledge that these cars are lemons, but then again you do acknowledge, because you have discontinued the model. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

What does the Mercedes brand represent? Safety? Reliability? Excellence? Comfort? Customer Service? Not anymore. My brand new 2019 Mercedes c300 and MB USA have failed me in all of these areas. My car, which is barely six months old, stalled without any warning while I was on the interstate heading to work. I narrowly avoided several collisions while trying to pull over. I had the car towed to the dealership (MB of Orlando), and the car was returned to me the next day with assurance the issue was fixed. I asked to speak with the service director Ed **, but he never called me, rather he only responded with brief and vague emails. I also requested to speak with Mr. **, the general manager, and he too was elusive. Ten days later, it stalled again on the interstate on a Sunday evening. This time, my pregnant wife was with me, and needless to say the experience caused her a great deal of distress. We had the car brought to MB of South Orlando, as it was the closest dealership to where the car stalled. I was told by this dealership to leave the car, and theyll have it looked at in the morning. I asked them to please help me and my pregnant wife find a ride home, perhaps provide a shuttle, or loaner vehicle. They said there is nothing they can do, and that we need to find our own way home. They returned the vehicle two days later, saying its working fine now after replacing a computer chip. I decided to call MB USA customer service the next day, and explained my disappointment to the representative. I was assured somebody would call me within 24 hours from corporate. 24 hours came and went, and no call from corporate. Finally, about 36 hours later I was able to get a hold of Jena from corporate.Jena listened attentively to my grievances, and was sympathetic to my situation. She said shell get back to me after gathering more information about the vehicle, and speaking with the dealerships. To her credit, she did follow up with me. However, she said the vehicle has been serviced per contractual and warranty agreements, and that there is nothing else MB USA is required to do for the customer. Im extremely disappointed by the level of customer service from MB USA, and the MB dealerships mentioned. Im even more disappointed that my vehicle is not safe or reliable, having broken down twice in two weeks. Mercedes Benz, is this your new standard?

I have a 2013 e350 convertible with approximately 8000 miles. I have had a problem with the windows on both sides. When I close the windows, they do not stay closed. They drop down about 2 inches and cannot be closed. This causes rain to seep into the car and cause damage. I have brought the car to Mercedes dealers on 5 separate occasions and they were unable to solve the problem. They have now told me that they are working on a fix in Germany and can give me no timetable as to when it will be ready. They have refused to replace the car. They told me I should use a manual override to keep the windows closed. I feel taken advantage of and am pursuing recourse through the Florida lemon law. I would like to hear from others who have had this problem. Thank you.

This car has had 2 (two) safety related issues in less than 3,000 miles of ownership. Mercedes-Benz is fully aware of these issues but is not fixing the problems. Both Mercedes-Benz and their dealerships do not understand the importance of tracking software on cars and fixing it to avoid problems. Our emergency braking system was shut down by the computer due to software problems. MB should have been able to proactively update the software in order to avoid this problem just based upon the VIN number and production dates. I am waiting for the 3rd safety issue so I can return this car to them under the Lemon Law. Dealerships should be staffed by people who are technically savvy as well as mechanics. Mercedes-Benz is delivering a substandard product due to lack of responsible practices after the product leaves the factory. Do not purchase or lease a GLA250 or believe the reporting on the internet that the 2016 models had safety issues address by the company. Its simply not true.

Since I purchased my 2007 E350 sedan, I have spent over $12,000 in maintenance and repairs. Specifically, to name a few of the repairs beyond the usual maintenance, in December 2011, transmission repairs in the amount of $2,219. In December of 2012, my car completely died at midnight at an airport 30 miles from my home. That repair was $3,539 for transmission issues. Mileage: 62,000. In January of 2013, the same problem occurred with car dying. This time they did not charge me since it had been repaired a week earlier. In August of 2013, another $2,354 for transmission issues, including mounts (same thing from Dec 2011). My car has relatively low mileage for a car purchased over 6 1/2 years ago. I have always taken my car to the Mercedes Benz dealer for maintenance as required and have kept up with it. All service records are at Mercedes. I find that these are exorbitant amounts to pay for a luxury car, with low mileage. I expected far more out of Mercedes. I will NEVER buy a Mercedes again.

I bought an ML 6.3 AMG from Mercedes Inchcape with five thousand miles on the clock. They charged me top book price. When driving, I felt the steering was not quite right. I took the vehicle back to the dealership several times and was basically fobbed off. I then paid an independent engineer to inspect the vehicle. His findings were that the vehicle had been in a front end crash. It had had several new panels including wings and front bumper, even the headlight was superglued in. I have stopped the payments on the vehicle and put my complaint to the dealership in November 2011. They eventually sent their manager out in the middle of January 2012. All he did was take photographs of the jeep on his mobile phone! And he eventually sent a letter to my solicitor stating that he could not say the vehicle as not road worthy. This has been explained to him that my complaint is that I was sold a vehicle under false pretenses, as I was not informed of any repair work being carried out prior to me purchasing the vehicle. And if I was, I would not have completed the purchase, as stated I paid top book price ($90K+). I have informed both the dealership and Mercedes Inchcape that I have rescinded the contract with them and I am requesting all monies paid to them be returned to me.

I own a Mercedes B150 that has many problems. It run 77000 kilometers. When it reached 60,000 kilometers, we changed the left coupling and now we have to change the right one. The fatal problem now is the vitesse which requires the electro hydraulic control unit to be replaced after the car made 75,000 kilometers. From what I know this is an electronic piece in the vitesse, so its incomprehensible that it requires to be changed after 75,000 kilometers only. From what we knew, this is a general defect in the car that must be changed despite its high cost (14000egp). As a result of all the above, we demand that you change the spare part on the companys account because in other cars like the Renault the vitesse has a guarantee until 100,000 kilometers. I dont understand how in Mercedes, which is a high class category, it doesnt cover an equivalent guarantee. Please, consider all this in our complaint. I will wait for your reply, and my best regards to you all.

This is a complaint against Mercedes Benz Croydon. Yesterday (24th Jan 2012), my car registration number ** Mercedes C220 was booked for a full service, and an MOT. It was agreed that the car would be picked up from my home in Bromley, and delivered back the same day. The car was picked up on time in the morning. I got a call from Clive ** at about 16:00 H from Mercedes Benz of Croydon, that the car is about to be finished and dropped back, and would I please pay the required amount. I was with a patient at the time (as I am doctor and was consulting), and told him I will ring back as soon as I finished. I rang back a few minutes later, and was told the car would be dropped off, but they were having some driver troubles. We agreed that since I needed the car for work the next morning, and would leave for work the next day before 09:00H the car could be delivered before nine the next day. Clive said he would do his best to get the car delivered today. He also mentioned that the passenger side wheel arch cover was missing, and I asked him if that could be replaced. He said it could, and the cost of that was added to the bill, which was paid by credit card. Later on, I got a voice mail on my phone from Clive that the car would be delivered before 09:00H tomorrow. The next morning (today, the 25th of January 2012), I rang Clive at around 09:00H to ask where the car was, as it was nearly 09:00H. He said the driver left at 08:20H, and should have been there by now. He promised to ring me back. I rang him at 09:10H or so, to say the car is still not here, and my medical clinic will be starting and my patients will be waiting. He said he would try to get in touch with the driver. Nothing happened, and it was now 09:26H. I rang again, and this time he said he is just around the corner, and should be there in a couple of minutes. I asked him how he knew, he said he had spoken to other drivers, and they said he was in the area as they had spoken to him. I was getting desperate. At 09:32H or so, I rang Mercedes Benz, and asked to be put to customer services or the general manager, in order to lodge a complaint. The lady said none of the sales managers is free, and no one can take my complaint. However, if I would leave my name and number, someone would ring me back as soon as they were free. No one rang back as of today. The driver eventually turned up at 09:37H. He said sorry, the traffic was bad. I asked him what time did he leave, and he said 08.50H (whereas Clive repeatedly assured that the driver left at 08:20H). I dont believe the driver either, for if he had left at 08:50H, he should have been at my place at 09:20H at the latest (or 09.30 if traffic was very heavy). I was dismayed that no one from Mercedes Benz rang back to apologize, and to check if everything was okay. No one was bothered that a number of my patients had to wait, and then had to leave without seeing their doctor. On top of that, even though I had been charged, the wheel arch cover had not been fitted (as the bumper was a bit warped). No credit note had been issued. I discovered the arch was not fitted only late this evening. I strongly feel that Mercedes Benz Croydon were not truthful when they dealt with me. Are they truthful when they say they serviced the car properly? I strongly feel that Mercedes Benz treated me extremely shoddily. I request that a full investigation be made why this happened, and how can I overcome my reluctance to deal with this same crowd again? My service book was not stamped (it was in the car on the inside leg area of the front passenger seat of the car). I can understand if it was overlooked. I feel reluctant to go to the branch to ask them to stamp it, because they appear to be an untrustworthy lot. I request some compensation be made for the aggravation suffered by me, due to this unfortunate incident.

I can always rely on it if I need to go somewhere. I like the anti-theft system and automatic everything. It has a moonroof which I really enjoy in the evenings when it is hot out. That way I can look up at the stars. It has a great stereo and the air conditioning is wonderful too. This experience is from Finland. Last year, we purchased a new MB180B and the next day we got the car, I had to get it back to the dealer. I had problems starting the car, and when I finally got it going, it was twitching forcefully. When the engine became warmer, the problem was gone. At the workshop, they started to study the car, but nothing was wrong according to the car computer. But the guy from the workshop said that he thinks there are problems with a component called crankshaft sensor. So, he ordered a replacement component, but then things started to be really strange. The factory said that they will not deliver that component, and I asked why. They told me that this particular component is on the do not deliver list. Finally, they told us that there will be a new different component as a replacement.Well at this point, I made a claim against this and the reason is that a manufacturer is not allowed to deliver cars or any constructions if they know that there is a failed component in it. Or at least they are supposed to inform the customer of this possible problem and then he can decide what to do with it. Anyway, after a few days, I got the car back and now everything is okay, and so on. It wasnt. The same problem came back. The car was back in the work shop, and this has gone now several times. At the moment the car is at the work shop. I already told them earlier that they should get me a new car to replace this one or give me my money back. They told me that is totally an unreasonable claim. A new car which doesnt work, is it so unreasonable to expect that new cars should be okay? Also, during this experience, it has been really hard to get in contact with anyone. The dealer is totally worthless. The car importer is really hard to deal with and the manufacturer in Germany doesnt answer in any messages. The first one I sent half a year ago. Now, I have a lawyer to take care this, and I also took contact with LRQA (Lloyds) who have certified their ISO9001 based management system.Of course, I am angry about the car itself, but also because of this habit of delivering cars included with components that they have themselves declared on not-to-deliver. I was told by them that it is totally normal to replace these kinds of components during a normal service. Actually it is not. It is a hidden/silent recall, and that is against the law and against the ethics as well. We will see what happens. But I would like to give a warning for all possible car buyers of this kind of actions from Mercedes-Benz.

Since I had received my car Class B-150 in 2008. I am suffering from it because of many problems. Brakes: Its not up to the expected when needed (very weak). Makkar Agency has been informed of this problem and they made necessary maintenance (as assumed by them) till the expiry of the guarantee period. Then they asked for a complete adjustment for the whole brake system!!! After this incident, I moved to Katameya Maintenance Center. During 2011 another problem has been appeared which is vibration and weird voices in the motor. They defined the disrepair as a problem in the Belt Tensioner and they changed it in September 2011. The problem continued and they ignored our many complaints about it till the guarantee period of the Belt Tensioner has been expired. In April 2014, the problem has been aggravated and the car became slow and the vibrations are increased where I suspected the gear box oil. Car has been sent to the Mercedes Maintenance at Fom El Khalig and they reported that gear box oil is not the problem and it is in good condition and they have to change Belt Tensioner again (already has been changed when the car was reading 30,800 km). Three days after receiving the car, same problem appeared again. I re-sent it again to the same Maintenance Center (Fom al Khalig) where they reported that the car needs to change the main Control Board of the Gear Box!!! You will not believe that the car is reading now 47,011 km which is very weird and strange for Mercedes Benz with their GREAT HISTORY. From the above, Im not satisfied at all with the car regarding all many disrepairs which affected my job and I consider the above as waste of time and money. When I chose to buy Mercedes I chose Name, Reputation, Strength and durability. I work as Engineering Director at and Engineering Consultancy Company for Petroleum Companies (as Business Card attached) and Im sure that Mercedes Benz, with their large reputation in Egypt and Middle East and Internationally, cannot accept these many disrepairs for a car 47,000 km. I really was going to buy the new CLA but now after all these happenings, I will not and will not recommend Mercedes for any of my acquaintances. I expect free change of this spare part and rechecking of the many frequent breakdowns of the car. Appreciating your understanding and your time. N.B. my car is in Mercedes Agency at Fom Al Khalig since Saturday 3rd of May and no answer till now.

I have a 2012 GL450 with only 40k miles on it and I have had to have the front suspension replaced and/or fixed 2 times in a few months time. I researched if other owners have had this issue and yes it is a known problem since 2008. The MB dealer even knows of the issues this system has had. The problem is serious and is going to cause someone to lose a life or get hurt severely. The front suspension will just drop while you are driving and you receive a malfunction airmatic error on the dash. This seems to me a recall issue, but for some reason MB does not recall and fix the problem, until I guess a family loses a life. Fortunately my vehicle is still under warranty and they say they will fix it, but this is not my concern. My concern is that this issue is a real safety issue and the NHTSA needs to look into it. Look Takata stepped up and are fixing their faulty airbags, MB you need to fix your suspension systems before someone get hurt or killed.

I went to the Rocklin, CA Mercedes Benz dealership to get a recall fixed on my car. I had a leak in the same place with that of the recall was in, so I thought it was that. We talked to a man named Wayne, and he helped us the whole time we were there. He said it would take an hour or a little longer, so we walked our three kids over to the park. By time we got back to the dealer, it was about 4:45-5:00. The man Wayne said he would check to see if our car was ready, then he pulled it up, leaving it running. We loaded the kids up, but my oldest was in the bathroom. So I went to get her. When I got back in the car, it was no longer running and would not start at all. We tried a couple times, and then, we got the man who had been helping us and told him what was going on. He came over and tried to start it, then he popped the hood. He started messing with the battery and said he thought we needed a new one. He said he was going to have someone come jump us. Well, that did not work at all, and as the tech was helping us, he noticed our seats felt real wet. The floors were wet too. Real wet. Still, I did not think anything of it. A few minutes went by, and another man came out, a tech one who works on cars. At that moment, they said that when they washed it, the sun roof was open a little and water got in our electrical gear and messed some electrical stuff up. So what I want to know is why did they not say that in the first place. They had to have a known cause. There had to have been water all over, when they opened the door. They had to dry it all up. They did not say anything to us and were going to let us leave. How did they know that fast what was wrong. They knew it had all got wet. I did not even know they were going to wash the car. I got my car back the next day (today). They came to my work and traded me cars, and it stinks so bad like mildew. I got a few opinions and have been told that it could never be the same. I dont know how extensive the damages are and what they fixed. They tried to get me off the lot as fast as possible, so it would not be their problem. But I know that I had my three kids and could have had my car just stop somewhere, and we could have gotten hurt. Now, I have a stinky car that I am still paying for, and I dont know if they fixed the whole problem.

Please note that while this review pertains to a 2008 C300, I have spoken to owners of two newer model C300s, and the consensus among us is that reliability is far less than expected, and repairs are more frequent and more costly than we anticipated. Since owning this car, I have replaced several very expensive components, including a drive shaft and steering lock. During a single year, my repairs totaled $3,000. During the following year, repairs were $2,000. These are just two examples of a lengthy list of costly non-maintenance repairs. When I questioned the dealership about this track record, the salesman said, When customers ask me this, I tell them that its to be expected with a high-quality vehicle. TRANSLATION: You arent the only one whos had this experience. For me, the C300 is a low quality vehicle with a fancy emblem on the hood. I will never consider this brand again. I went into Walters Mercedes Benz in Riverside to try and figure what could be the problem of the noise - I had just purchased the car from a friend - and he didnt want me to have any problems so he paid $4,000 for a diagnostic check up to make sure all was good. When I was at Walters - not sure if he was a salesman or a mechanic, but he said that that it is a common occurrence for the roof window to fail. He estimated $1600 to have it repaired. I have just finished to talking to Mercedes Benz, and got the total runaround, Two people there Tara, and Antonio, said that they were unaware of any problem. How about you. Please let me know if you have the problem and how you solved same. Carma. **.

I purchased a 2015 Mercedes GL-350 in May 2017 with less than 20K Miles on it. I was told that it was still have full factory warranty on it until 4 years or 40K miles. About 6 months after purchased the vehicle; We started to experience an intermittent problem with the rear view camera and 360 view cameras; once in a while when we put the car into reverse, the screen would continuously flipping between rear view and 360 view. I recorded the issue on camera and brought it to the dealer. The mechanic at the dealer looked at the video and drove the car around for 5 minutes then came back and said that he does not see the problem at the moment so there is nothing they can do. About 8 months before the warranty expired, we began to have another intermittent problem with the transmission, every couple of months, the reverse gear does not work. You can put the transmission into reverse, feel the gear engage but the car wont move; we can rev up the engine to 3000 rpm and the car wouldnt move. The only way to get out of that problem is to drive forward for about 1/4 miles, then after that the reverse gear work again until the next time. We brought the car to the dealer, they test drove the car and did not see the issue, so they again told us, there is nothing they can do. Kept having both of these problems every few months, so we recorded the problem with the transmission on video where the dashboard show the gear in reversed, engine rev up and the car did not move (can tell thru the windshield). We bought it to the dealer and show them the problem. They again drove the car around for a few minutes and came back to tell us that there is nothing they can do because the problem does not happen at that time. When the warranty about to expire on this vehicle, I called Mercedes USA (talked to Erik). He told me I should bring the vehicle back to the dealer if the problem comes back, but I will be responsible for all cost of diagnostic and any cost associated with fixing the transmission. I told him I have detail dealer record/video of the problem existed well before warranty expired and it is Mercedes that could not fix the problem. He kept repeating the warranty policy of 4 years/40K miles and owner responsible for all cost afterward, and that was how the call ended. We spent twice the money on this luxury brand and this is how they treated their customers. I will never purchase another Mercedes or any of their franchise brand and I will make sure I tell this story every chance I get.

My GL350, 65k mileages has a problem with check engine after I brought my car to the dealership for service B... Every time when I bring my car for service B, it cost over thousand dollars for services. They told me there is an oil leak with my engine and estimated over $6500 for repair. I dont know why the Mercedes car engine is not really good like its brand name and they did not warranty for that... Too bad.

I bought new a 2011 E350. Every time the weather changes a few degrees, the check tire pressure light comes on and I have to take the car to MB dealership for them to add air to the tires. This happens often. They tell me everybody does this, not true. I have friends who have the exact same car and this has never happened to them. I cannot get any satisfaction from the service department. Has anyone else had this problem?

Any car but NEVER EVER Mercedes. Why am I posting here? To create consumer awareness. NEVER EVER MERCEDES AGAIN. Worst customer service ever. Mercedes Benz Canada is the worst company to deal with when there is a problem with the car. Complete lack of customer service and they do not care if you are a long time client. They simply don’t care. After almost two years no one is able to find the problem in my 2018 E 400 at Mercedes Oakville and Mercedes Benz Canada is not willing to do anything. After repeated visits for a problem brought to their attention right after we leased the vehicle it still hasn’t been rectified. We have had to escalate to arbitration but still no help because it is an intermittent noise that doesn’t happen every day. Despite multiple employees hearing the noise on multiple occasions they can’t fix it.Mercedes Benz Canada’s response to arbitration was pathetic. Their response was we are welcome to keep taking car back. They have tried to repair multiple times at an inconvenience to us and their only solution is to keep going back. No one expects multiple visits for a noise issue on a car that costs this much. We were so desperate to get rid of this vehicle that we even went and talked to sales department at Mercedes Benz Oakville who knew about the situation but were unable to do anything to make it reasonable for us to switch cars. They just don’t care that we are unhappy and stressed about paying so much money every month for a car that annoys us. Despite providing them with multiple recordings evidencing the noise they still can’t fix it and just don’t care.Over all terrible and worst customer service experience we have ever had. If you don’t want to have any problem, just DO NOT BUY MERCEDES FROM MERCEDES BENZ OAKVILLE. There are lots of other luxury brands to choose from. IF YOU WANT DETAILS ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE feel free to contact us. I can even provide documentation and you can make better decisions when you are picking a luxury car.

I decide to change my Toyota 1999 Camry and buy well reputed car Mercedes E class. I bought brand new one (e 300 Sedan) in September 2009 with total cost of $80,000. On first week I give complaint that the left window is not sealed and make noise. They refuse to admit that there is wrong with car. At 50,000 km I get warning sign for engine on screen and it turn up that there is problem with fuel injector and they replace most of engine parts. At 90,000 km the car start to give a very loud noise sound at all speeds. The problem found to be with differential. It worn up. My Camry till now with me I never had window problem or engine problem or differentials.
