2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid

The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is a variant of the popular Hyundai Tucson compact SUV that features a hybrid powertrain for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. Here are some key details about the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid:

Hybrid Powertrain: The Tucson Hybrid combines a traditional gasoline engine with an electric motor and a battery pack to provide improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions compared to conventional gasoline-only models. The hybrid powertrain allows the Tucson to operate in electric-only mode at low speeds, reducing fuel consumption and emissions in urban driving conditions.

Fuel Efficiency: One of the primary advantages of the Tucson Hybrid is its improved fuel efficiency compared to non-hybrid models. The hybrid powertrain allows the Tucson to achieve higher miles per gallon (MPG) ratings, making it a more economical choice for drivers concerned about fuel costs and environmental impact.

Performance: Despite its focus on fuel efficiency, the Tucson Hybrid still delivers respectable performance. The combination of the gasoline engine and electric motor provides ample power for everyday driving, with smooth acceleration and responsive handling.

Interior Space and Comfort: The Tucson Hybrid offers the same spacious and comfortable interior as its non-hybrid counterpart. With seating for up to five passengers and plenty of cargo space, the Tucson Hybrid is well-suited for families and drivers with active lifestyles.

Technology and Features: Like other Hyundai vehicles, the Tucson Hybrid comes well-equipped with a range of advanced technology features and amenities. This includes a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration, available navigation, a premium audio system, and advanced driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automated emergency braking.

Safety: Safety is a top priority for Hyundai, and the Tucson Hybrid comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies and driver assistance features. This includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and a surround-view parking camera system.

Trim Levels: The Tucson Hybrid is available in multiple trim levels, allowing buyers to choose the features and amenities that best suit their needs and budget. Higher trim levels offer additional luxury and convenience features, such as leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, and advanced driver assistance technologies.

Overall, the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid offers a compelling combination of fuel efficiency, performance, comfort, and technology, making it a popular choice among drivers looking for a more eco-friendly and economical SUV option. Its hybrid powertrain allows for reduced fuel consumption and emissions without sacrificing the practicality and versatility of a compact SUV.

On 1/5/2012, I was in an accident in my 2003 Hyundai Elantra. A car ran the stop sign and pulled out in front of me and I slammed on my brakes but could not stop in time so I t-boned them going about 40mph dead center. The airbags did not deploy. I had severe whiplash and now have constant back pain. I am so mad that the airbags did not deploy. I contacted Hyundai about this and they wanted all this information from me: service records and everything but the kitchen sink. Yes, I had the maintenance done on my vehicle either by my husband or a mechanic, and no, my airbags were never removed. Maybe Hyundai forgot to put the airbags in the vehicles that have so many issues of them not deploying.

In late April 2012, I bought a LIMITED EDITION TUCSON. What I particularly was interested in was the bluetooth technology with hands-free calling and the ability to load all my IPhone 5 contacts in the bluetooth/navigation/radio part. And I also had owned an Elantra for 10 years, so I was a repeat customer and looking forward to owning another, more updated. This March 4th, I brought my car in for an oil change and for the Auto Butler service that I had paid extra for (total car clean). When my car was ready, I noticed that the lights were on, so I when I attempted to turn them off, they were already off. So after a few tries, the master technician gave it a try also only to be stumped. He did NOT know WHY the lights were not turning off. Keep in mind that this car has just been serviced and everything was OK. So, he took it back in the shop & said hed have to call a Tech at Headquarters somewhere for advice. After having been there from 9 am and now it was 2:30, I just could no longer hang around that dealership so I asked for a rental. The next day, I got a call that they had found the source. It was a faulty FUSE BOX. Thats like the main electric box outside our homes. When does THAT break down? I asked what caused it many times and they have no answer. They dont know. So I asked how come when I brought my car in for an oil change & car wash - everything was fine - and when its complete, this huge event happens. They cannot (or will not) tell me how it happened or what could have caused it!!! A mystery I am not willing to live with. What if that happens again when Im on a highway or out of state? That would drain the battery and more things could happen. So I am VERY UNHAPPY with that occurrence. The next thing is that when I bought my car, the bluetooth paired with my IPhone fine and I was able to sync my contacts. All of a sudden, about a month ago, my contacts were no longer able to remain synced and so I am unable to use the hands-free calling feature for which I bought this car and I must say for the SERVICE so well advertised. Here again - there is no answer to this problem. They are aware that it is happening, mainly because they have not upgraded the bluetooth since I bought the car and their solution is: WERE WORKING ON IT. In the meantime, what do I do?I asked for some type of compensation: a new Tucson (that might have the later version)..., an upgraded car for a reasonable price.... something! But to no avail. I was told by the Gen. Manager that he would like me to drop by to see him, so he can buy me a cup of coffee!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?? So those of you thinking of buying a HYUNDAI, think again. After Ive read all of these reviews, it is really sad to see how things have turned out for this company that used to be #1 in service. Now they really dont care! And neither should we!

We have been happy Hyundai customers for many years. Earlier in the year, we were noticing that our Genesis was sporadically pulling to one side. We took it to our car to Chapman Hyundai in Phoenix, AZ - the dealership we purchased the car and loyally worked with them on all of our service needs. They couldnt recreate the issue, so they returned the car to us. We continue to have incidences of this happen again, so took the car back. They did a wheel alignment. It didnt solve the problem. In June I lost control of the car when coming off the highway. I feared that I would not be able to stop at the bottom of the off-ramp, which would have resulted in a major accident. Fortunately, I was able to regain control and stop the car in time.We tried to make an appointment with the dealership, but there was a 2-week wait, so we took it to a local repair shop because we were afraid to drive the car and couldnt be without it for 2 weeks. They quickly saw that all 4 control arms had major cracks in them. They replaced them. They said that this issue should have been detected by the dealership mechanics since the cracks were quite large. This doesnt happen overnight. They also suggested there may be another issue that should be watched if the pulling should happen again. I contacted Hyundai Consumer Affairs to report this situation on June 2nd. I was told that I would hear back from a case manager within 10 days. I was finally contacted (after repeatedly calling, sitting on hold, waiting, and waiting) on July 14th. The case manager immediately told us that there was nothing she could do as far as reimbursement of the over $3500 of costs we incurred at an independent garage because the car wasnt repaired by a certified Hyundai mechanic. I stressed our lack of faith in the technicians, stressed the risk I was put in, and threatened to go viral with my story. She came back 5 days later saying that the company would reimburse me for the cost of parts only - however, I had to take the car to a dealership for them to make sure the work was done properly. She wanted me to pay for this service while taking MORE time off work - not having a car. She called me back 2 days later to see if I was going to accept the offer even though I told her it wasnt fair that I had to pay for the service call as well as everything else Ive been dealing with. She called me back - as promised - on July 22nd. I was unavailable to take her call. Since then I have left multiple messages/emails with her with no response. The pulling issue still persists to this day. On August 4th we scheduled a service call with a different Hyundai dealership. Again, we have to wait 2 weeks for our appointment. Were left with an unsafe car, no response from the company, and no sight in end to this issue. When my husband had car issues with his Acura, they had to wait 2 weeks to get the necessary part that was draining our battery. They provided us with a loaner so we werent inconvenienced and kept us updated on the status of the part. Thats customer service. Maybe Hyundai needs to look at its competitors and learn how to treat people properly.

Purchased a 2011 Elantra with 8 miles and it just recently hit 70K miles. I have had no problems with the car at all. My driving is severe going up and down the California Grapevine on a weekly basis with no problems. Service at all 3 dealerships I have been to have always been great and as soon as the new redesigned Elantra comes out (maybe 2016 or 2017) I will be buying another one.I find it hilarious how many stupid people come on here complaining about their end of lease termination fee. Or even worse telling Hyundai that they deserve that fee be waived or for good customer service it should be waive. You people must really have a 2 digit I.Q. It doesnt matter if the leased car that you returned has only 10K miles on it or that you made every payment on time. You signed a legal contract saying that you will pay that fee! End of story! Stop the whining! If youre going to whine about something in your lease contract whine about it BEFORE you take delivery of your vehicle...if not shut the ** up!

2008 Hyundai Elantra - On May 8, 2013, I was driving 38-40 mph on damp road. I swerved to miss an animal and spun 270 degrees. I hit a tree on passenger side door, broke passenger window, moved forward, hit passenger quarter panel and then it went forward and hit front bumper directly center. Neither front nor side airbags deployed, brakes froze (ABS didnt work) and ESC didnt work (received ESC recall notice after accident). It totaled the car. Passenger received lacerations due to glass breakage. Driver and passenger received bumps, bruises, sore neck and body parts. This is a huge safety concern. What can be done about false safety advertising?

I have a 2015 Hyundai Elantra limited edition. I have loved this car from the beginning. This is my second Hyundai and Ive truly enjoyed the brand; however my sunroof has been making this loud ticking noise. I brought it into the dealer once and they said there was a recall on the sunroof. Now that its been nice outside, I tried it again. The issue was not fixed. When I took it Balise Hyundai of Fairfield the manager came to look at it. It told me it was a defect in the making of the Elantra. There was nothing I could do to fix it. Now, my expensive car has an unusable sunroof. One of my favorite features! He said I could write to Hyundai, if there were enough complaints they would recall it, but the 2016 does not have a problem with this feature. This cannot be a solution. Buying a new car (when Im dissatisfied with the old design), doesnt seem to be an applicable solution in this scenario.

I took my car in because I have been having trouble with the transmission. I have been very stressed because I do not like to drive a car that shows it is having problems. I have problems when I put it in reverse. I jumps and jerks. Also when I get on the free way, it struggles to shift gears. I was told that I needed to drive it for one or more months until the transmission breaks more. I am very worried because I get very nervous knowing it might leave me stranded or worse if I am in a free way.

I bought the 2011 Hyundai Elantra in November 2016 with the goal of keeping it till death do us part. I have always had that approach with cars. Well, the Crown Hyundai in St. Pete Florida failed to disclose of a clicking engine noise. On top of that, they did not fix the mandatory recalls until after I told them! Additionally, there is the whole issue of the steering coupler with ALL Hyundais. They do not disclose, inform you, notify you (dealer or corporate) in any way of the steering coupler issue, but your alignment, tires, other parts will suffer and you will pay THOUSANDS! My 40,000 warranty tires blew on the highway after 25,000 miles only! Plus, the whole tire size issue. The only size tires that fit into the Elantra only last 35,000-40,000 miles tops. So, if you drive average, you will replace tires every 2 years -- more expenses for you! This car is a DISASTER, and the customer service at the corporate level is horrible. CHECK THE LAWSUITS. STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPANY.

I purchased three Hyundai vehicles in less than 12 months. The third vehicle I purchased was the 2013 Hyundai Tucson. This vehicle has went to the shop for repairs from July to Today, September 16 for transmission problems. After replacing the transmission on August 13th, I had to tow it to dealer because I broke down on Sunday, September 14, 2014. This was the 4th visit to the dealer since the initial complaint in July. Wow to my surprise I was told at Hyundai Plaza Mall Service that it was the driving of the vehicle that made the axle jump out of the transmission. I or someone was throwing the vehicle in park, reverse without coming to a stop. I cant figure out if that was my driving behavior. Why did not this occur on the other cars I had bought from there? I give their service a thumbs down and I have definitely lost all trust in the Hyundai brand.

When shopping around I was looking for a convenience features. Sonata Hybrid 2016 was slightly better than other midsize hybrid alternatives. Looked at all these reviews on Edmunds and similar websites. From their perspective it looks good. After one month of driving (and pretty good experience) main battery broke. Brought it to a dealership. It took already 2 days just to localize the problem. Accordingly to them it will take another 1-2 days to get an answer from Hyundai what needs to be done. This is a car on a warranty. What happens when its out. I feel Im screwed. This is a new car. Just started to pay for it.

I took my 2009 Santa Fe to our local dealer for a leak in the factory-installed sunroof. The first time, they supposedly made adjustments to tighten the window down. The second time, they said the seal was bad and they had to order a new sunroof window. My question was why they didnt find this the first time. The third, they replaced the window. Now, this one leaks worse than the original. This has happened all in the last 3 weeks. I have no faith in the dealer that is doing the work. But since it is still in factory warranty, I am stuck. We have had nothing but trouble with this vehicle since we have purchased it. But we are stuck with this lemon for a little while longer.

Zero Rating if possible. I dont really know where to begin with this brand and its terrible cars. I purchased a brand new Hyundai Sonata Turbo in 2013. Ive spent countless hours with my car in the shop over the car sputtering, shaking, cutting off at stop signs. Not to mention the electronics in the car are terrible; Bluetooth doesnt connect half the time for unknown reasons. Theres been at least 4 recalls done since I purchased this car. I had to get a total electrical discharge done to reset the electronics because the car was going haywire. Finally, Im down on Myrtle Beach for vacation and the car totally shuts off. Turns out it was a faulty engine that needed to be replaced. Took 30 days to get the engine sent in from Korea and replaced. Then somehow the rental car that I had racked up an amazing 2400 bill of which Hyundai determined to only pay $400. And then afterward I noticed the car jumping and things shifting and making horrible noises under the hood. Turns out the repairmen didnt screw the transmission mount screws on tight enough both of the bolts had the heads off and the transmission was moving around while I was driving. The dealership told me the car would be fine to drive and so I did until it just became unbearable. Now they want me to fork over another $1700 to replace the entire subframe that they messed up when installing the engine. Hyundai is a horrible company with Horrible cars. I will never purchase another thing from you and your terrible dealerships. Go out of business for the countries sake or leave your terrible cars in Korea.

We bought this vehicle in the last week of December 2014 and got delivery on 2nd of January 2015. After couple of months the squeaking noise started from the sunroof. Went to dealership in March 2015 and they could not diagnose the problem. I went again after a week in March 2015 and they acknowledge the noise. They took the car and told me to pick it up at the end of the day. When I called them at the end of that day, they said, they do not have parts and it will take two weeks to get the parts.I called Hyundai Canada and talked to Customer Relation department. Their response was very cold and promised me to resolve the issue ASAP. Nothing happened for two weeks. Hyundai Canada also refused to give me a rental car as they said it is not a safety issue. But the dealership had taken the roof off and the car was not drivable. After many follow ups over the phone with Hyundai Canada, nothing happened. They continued promises without any outcome. They dealer said they have no control on parts. It took more than four weeks to receive the parts and finally in April they gave the car back to me.After driving for a week the squeaking noise started again. Went to dealership and they said that the mechanic who repaired the roof has gone to his home country and will not be available till the end of April 2015. I called Hyundai Canada and they gave no response. They said that they are sorry but there was no solution to the problem. I requested them to take the car back and give me a new one. They said Hyundai Canada do not have policy to buy back. Followed up with dealer many times with no positive response. In May went back to dealer and they did something to stop the noise. The noise stopped for a week and again started. Now the noise is so annoying that it is hard to concentrate on driving. I feel that I will meet with an accident as my attention is diverted due to noise.I have told Hyundai Canada and dealership that this piece is defective but they are not listening. I called dealership to look into this again and they have told me that they dont have a vehicle to lend and I am in waiting list. I called Hyundai Canada and spoke with Customer Relations and their response is the same as before. They continue to mention that they are sorry and trying to do their best to fix this. I am been trying to resolve this issue since last seven (7) months with no possible resolutions. I strongly feel that I am cheating and robbed. I am paying my car payments very regularly. We are middle class hardworking family and it is hard to meet ends. This is giving us lots of stress and anxiety which we do not want. We bought a brand new car to have peace of mind but this issue has taken all the peace away.I feel that as a consumer I have no rights and my hands are tight as Hyundai Canada and Dealership are playing games. On October 4, 2015 the speedometer blacked out, which is not showing the speed, fuel, fuel consumption, outside temperature, heating/cooling as well as the seat belt warning is showing. I called the dealer and they told me to bring the car on October 7th, 2015. They took the car and when I followed up with them at the end of the day on October 7, 2015, they informed me that the cluster (electronic part) has failed and they do not have the part. They will let me know when they will get it. Also they have taken apart the sunroof and for that they do not have the part. The service manager is telling me on Friday October 8, 2015 they still dont have the part. I followed up again on Friday October 9, 2015 and they didnt receive the part. The manager told me that he has no clue when the parts will come. The status is not showing as backorder as well. The Thanksgiving long weekend passed and I called the dealership on Tuesday October 13, 2015 in the afternoon to inquire for the status. The manager is telling me that they still are not aware of the status of the parts. He said, he will call me when they know the status of the parts, which after probing for many times, he said he cant tell me the exact day when the parts will arrive as the system is not showing anything. Also Hyundai Canada tells me that I am not entitled for a rental car as I have not bought the extended warranty??? The car remains with the dealer with no definite answer (October 19, 2015). Called Hyundai Canada and my calls were transferred to the voicemail for the customer relations. Waiting to hear from them.

After 76,000 miles I experienced a catastrophic engine failure in my 2011 Sonata Turbo 2.0. The Hyundai service department that the car was towed to said they did not know why this happened. After considering the warranty, it was determined that the engine would be replaced. The second motor was installed and the first time it was cranked, it was determined that the engine failed. A third engine was then installed. At about 10,000 miles on the 3rd engine, the exact same catastrophic engine failure occurred. I learned that Hyundai had previously installed a re-manufactured motor (the third engine) instead of a new long block. I am now waiting to hear if the warranty is even going to cover the 4th engine replacement.I am researching information on Texas Lemon Law to see if this would qualify; my novice experience would say YES but I am horrified to read the other experiences on this website. I would like to think Hyundai is going to try and make this right for me, but I have my doubts. To say the least, I will never purchase another Hyundai. It is disappointing because up until now, I had enjoyed the way the car drove, handled, and how efficient the eco-boost was on fuel.

I bought a 2012 Hyundai Elantra from Tuttle Click Dodge in Tustin. There they had a sticker posted with 39 hwy mph. My car gets no more than 24 mph on the freeway going 65 steady in the right lane with Chevron gas. I have taken it to 5 different Hyundai dealers complaining about the issue almost right away. They all shrugged their shoulders and told me they couldnt find a problem. That the digital eco meter is a dummy gauge and doesnt give accurate numbers. Then why do they match my manual calculations? Finally after I showed them the website where I found out about the class action lawsuit did they admit... oh ya your car does have a mileage problem. Oh ya... we already lost the lawsuit. We will waste a ton of your time, and then say sorry you are not original owner and therefore not eligible for gas reimbursement! Today I took my horrible Hyundai to the dealer and they gave it back to me with a huge scratch on the door. Also, my newish Hyundai with only 20,000 miles makes a ton of noises and the check engine light came on.

I have a HYUNDAI 2013 HYBRID SONATA. From as soon as 2 weeks after delivery, I knew the car wasnt right. Gas mileage never near supposed to be. Told due to break-in period. Hyundai engineers say no break-in period. Car hesitates, stalls, brakes lock as well crappy gas mileage. Well been complaining ever since after the break-in period. Then its the way I drive, weather conditions, etc. Finally a noise from the EV motor and then the gas mileage drops another 200 miles per tank bringing me to about 25 miles gal. The noise Im told is the electric water pump. One has been ordered and I ask, Can that be the smoking gun? The service rep. says no. Now being a lay person, I know more about these cars than I ever wanted to mechanically and obviously more than the mechanics employed to service. Common sense tells me theres a correlation and lo and behold so do the articles when I google water pump failure and hybrid though not Sonata. Yes hybrid. All my complaints and issue are shown to be part of the electric water pump again in different automaker but hybrid. Now theres 13,000 miles on car and Im sure this water pump was bad from the get go so what damage could it have caused to the hybrid system? I dont care to find out going after lemon law as this is the 4th time in and now I hope to be able to prove its not me nor the elements all cars operate under. The car is bad. My car mimics the problems found for the 2012 hybrid. Wonder if the first production of 2013 may have carry over issues. So anyone experiencing problems may want to wait till you hear the buzzing of the bad electric water pump. Its an obvious annoying noise. *I ASKED THE DEALER, REALLY, DO YOU THINK IM BACK AGAIN BECAUSE LIFE IS BORING? IF YOU DO, YOURE SADLY MISTAKEN. And no, its not found on computer or diagnostic review. They told me they follow the noise. So having it checked. I dont know how you could do this without paying on your own to replace. Just keep bring it back so you tally those request. Hopefully you meet lemon law outline. My $25,000 headache is a full time job tracking tach pictures at fill up and keep records... Good luck

I purchased a 2014 Hyundai Tucson Limited in April 2014. At that time I was pleased with it and the Blue Link App. I was happy with the dealership, Hyundai of Huntsville TX. The BLUE LINK features for the Remote and Guidance expire after 3 mos so you have to purchase what you want to keep...$99 a year for each!! Most autos have these features indefinitely for free.I purchased the REMOTE package as I dont need the GUIDANCE. As soon as I purchased the package, many of the features I enjoyed under the REMOTE no longer worked...i.e., the Valet alert and to be able to turn it off and on through the app on my phone and also the GEO fence alert. It no longer sends me text messages either. If I am in a restaurant, I want to be able to set the valet alert from the app on my phone if I forget to set it before getting out of the car. If Im away from home and my car is at home, I want to be able to set the GEO fence through the app like I used to before the GUIDANCE pkg was removed.HYUNDAI BLUE LINK has UPDATED AND IMPROVED an app that no longer works the way it did when I paid for it. I have gotten no satisfaction through multiple calls and emails. I paid for a service from HYUNDAI that I no longer receive because the TECH SUPPORT is worthless and they cannot put the app back the way it was to include the features I paid for.I proved to them that when they took the GUIDANCE package off that I no longer wanted, that it also took away the features that I am speaking about. Unless you KEEP AND PAY FOR THE GUIDANCE, you dont get the feature of turning the VALET and GEO off through the phone app. ALSO THE TEXT ALERTS DO NOT WORK FOR IT!! WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO CHECK MY EMAIL TO SEE IF MY CAR HAS BEEN MOVED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!! I think HYUNDAI needs to make things right and get the app back where it was when I paid for it or give me some sort of compensation....like leave the GUIDANCE AND REMOTE ON MY CAR FREE FOR THE LIFETIME I HAVE THE VEHICLE. My husband has the same features on his Chrysler Town and Country....doesnt have to pay extra for even the LIFETIME MAPS and his actually works like it supposed to without all the extra hassle. Needless to say, I wont be buying another HYUNDAI and will be telling others about the issues I have.

I bought my 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT based on the reputation, look of the car and the estimated mileage. I had previously owned an all wheel drive car - the handling of which was fabulous but was unhappy with the mileage (20 city/25 highway). The Elantras estimated 27/37 mpg was worth giving up excellent handling. Initially my mileage was 23/28 with the Hyundai and so I waited a few months thinking the car needed to be broken in. Now, a year later, I am still only getting approximately 24mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway. I complained to the service department in September and they agreed to test the mileage.Heres what happened at the test: I topped off the tank 1/4 mile from the dealer and delivered a filled-to-capacity tank. They then drove the car 40 miles and then refilled the tank with 1.089 gallons determining that my car gets 36.73 miles per gallon. Knowing that was impossible, I drove immediately to the same filling station and put an additional .615 gallons in the tank, topping it off. Obviously, their idea of topping it off and mine were very different. With the additional .615 gallons, the mileage would have been determined correctly at 23.52 which was just about what I have been getting. When I called and asked them about it, they couldnt understand my point and stood by their test. I contacted Hyundai Consumer Affairs who spoke to the dealership and determined that there was no more they could do at that point unless I wanted pay for a test at another dealership. I was unwilling to do that if the first test had already proven to MY satisfaction that the mileage I had been getting all along was all I was going to get and another dealer, when contacted, said they would just take the mileage reading from the cars gauge to determine mpg. The gauge always shows 2-3 mpg better than what I actually get and is still nowhere need their estimated 27/37. I knew Hyundai had been fined for overestimating mpg in the past and in fact have a program of reimbursement because so many people have complained about the misrepresentation of mpg so I actually thought that meant I could trust their estimated mpg because they would not want to be found lacking in that area again. However, that is clearly not the case. At this point I feel I have no recourse except to register my complaint and hope something can be done to my satisfaction.

I lost my car via accident since June 3rd 2015. My insurance company has been conversing with Hyundai since June 9, 2015 to obtain a letter of guarantee. Up to today we had a three-way conference call with Hyundai, my insurance and myself to get on the same page. Translation between the insurance and the customer service has been the most horrible experience ever. It should not take a month and more to fix this issue of a letter. Every time you call either the information was never sent or attached to be sent to the total loss department. For this to be a top selling company now, there need to be a better way to have individuals speak directly with the total loss department to correct discrepancies and miscommunications. I am really annoyed as I need this settled.

We just purchased a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy trim in Sep 21 because we loved that it had everything we were looking for in regards to safety, technology, and design. We paid $45k for it along with about $1,000 in fees and travel to pick it up. We were quite excited as this was our first brand new vehicle. 2 months into it, the transmission went bad and we brought it to Hyundai to find out whats going on as it was under warranty. Heres where things went further south.Hyundai cant get parts to fix their brand new cars...and on top of that, why would a transmission already be bad? It has sat on their lot since Nov 30th, 2021. Last week we just got an offer to buy back the vehicle for more than 4k less than what we just bought it for and drove it for two months. They stated that our state allows for depreciation in Missouri for lemon laws and they cant help us, it is what it is. During this time, cars have gone up because dealers are now charging a mark up fee, so although they can claim depreciation, we cant claim appreciation on the car. So to get the same exact car we just bought, we now will have to pay 4-8k more for equivalent. Its horrible. And just for a buyer beware situation, Hyundai will no longer replace your car with an equivalent one substitution for collateral equity. They stopped replacing them with like cars because theyre manufacturing so few that anything they make has to go to dealers to get top value for them.Point being for this review is that although Hyundai makes a great car much of the time, if you have any problems at all, there are concerns of finding parts for repairs, and if its unrepairable, plan on a huge deduction for a buyback. Good luck out there from a very unhappy customer who just lost 4-8k on a brand new vehicle, and now I have to go find a replacement on my own.

Whatever you do when you buy a Hyundai, carry Emergency Roadside with your insurance company. DO NOT RELY ON THIS PIECE OF CRAP SERVICE! Especially when it comes to your safety! Locked keys in car, as well as money, credit cards, and of course, cell phone. Only had new Accent about 4 months, decided she has it out for me. Ive never had such bad luck with any of the possibly 20 cars Ive owned. Im not here to write all my complaints about this gas guzzling, gutless, cheap economy car. But the 800 # on the window? Scrap it off and toss it. Wont do any good, unless you have your phone, flashlight, eyeglasses, and nothing better to do than stand in the rain, at night, in a sketchy hood in the dark fighting off bums for almost three hours. I dont care what youve heard about Hawaii and Aloha spirit! Most Local People HATE ** people and do not like to be bothered by us in time of need, no way no how. Ive lived here many years and can tell you Aloha is a farse, like, an honest politician. Kid at gas station did NOT appreciate my asking to use the business phone for an emergency, then called number on car door, was still daylight so could read vin #. Took forever to answer all the questions, then the customer service guy said he needed callback #. Told him I didnt have one available, the business phone was not happening, and my phone is locked in car. I was very descriptive of my location, no callback # available but was assured, within an hour??? I would be assisted but need to stay by car. So hour and a half go by, no one. I reluctantly asked kid to use phone again, called 800 # again, they had no record of my first call, so again they want my vin #, dark now cant see it, my name, phone #, email address couldnt find my ownership anywhere, they need a call back #, Im pissed at this point. They would not be able to promise help without callback #. So tried to break out back window, kid from gas station finally feeling sorry for poor 60 yr old woman in the rain and the dark, assisted me with calling a nearby locksmith. Almost 3 hrs later and $250 cash!!! Not even gonna bother with asking for any refund, ya already know theres fine print somewhere excluding the hardship I went through. So, because the car is crap, roadside service is crap, warranty will be crap when I tell em to shove the $60, less than 1000 mile, every three month oil change, without even so much as a vacuum job. Wait til they see the back window I tried to bang out with a rock! Screw it. Crappy car. Crappy service.

I have a 2007 Azera. This is not my first Hyundai, but this seems to be the one I am most disappointed in. I bought the car used in 2011. The car was clean, drove great, was good on gas mileage, then the check engine light came on. I took the car on a regular basis for oil changes and maintenance and when they hooked the car up to find out why the engine light was on, they had no answer. It didnt even register that it was on. So that was perplexing. Ive learned to live with the check engine light - it goes on and off when it feels like it. Then the motor on my sunroof stopped working, it will no longer open or close all the way. About a week ago I was leaving for work and I went to get in my car and the seat was pushed all the way back, now as a woman I panicked and thought someone had been in my car, but that wasnt the case. When I finally felt safe to enter my car (there was no one hiding in my back seat),I adjusted my seat back to normal manually.I started driving down the road and the seat readjusted itself without me touching anything, once again I panicked but this time it was because I couldnt reach the pedals. I turned around came back home and switched cars with my husband because I had no idea what the problem was and I didnt want to get on the highway and not be able to reach the pedals. He drove the car to his work and not only did the seat keep adjusting itself but the steering wheel moved also. On the way home that day, he said it seemed to be fine. Now a week to the day later, today, I was leaving work to come home which is a 48 mile drive, my cars seat was all the way back again. I tried adjusting it, I shut the car off and tried to start over, NOTHING - the seat kept automatically going back. Is this safe? Should I be driving this car when I cant even reach the pedals? Im very afraid at this point that I am going to get into an accident or cause an accident. What do you suggest?

My husband is a full time Uber driver & his income is extremely important for us because with my part time job we can’t afford to pay the our bills. Everything was quite good since he drove Hyundai Ioniq hybrid 2017 which helped us a lot to spend less on fuel but one day suddenly the car stopped without any warning sign and the Hyundai Kitchener towed it and we were advised that it’s a recall for Hybrid system so we thought it will take a week or two but omg it has been 4 months we didn’t get our car back! Since this car was everything for us and my husband couldn’t do Uber with a rental car it has been 4 minutes we lost the income. He called thousand times for help & complain about the service to Hyundai Canada but they didn’t give a **, instead we were insulted that you should know the rules. We can’t do anything! We talked with a lawyer to sue the company for the income loss but the lawyer said these giant companies are protected by law we can’t help you. Seriously??We bought this brand new car so expensive to face this day? We are facing a lot of problems and the loss of income for four months for a middle class family is the worst thing.. I’m writing this only to inform you people be very careful before purchasing any car from Hyundai, they don’t value their customers and treat you like **.. now I’m not gonna stop this complain and will even call some tv channels to show the reality of this company because the money we bought this car that was our ten years saving and lost everything. The worst company with worst service and very bad management with bad quality cars.

Having purchased a Hyundai Elantra from a private party in April 2011, I noticed that an extra portion outside of the back seat, which pops off and down like the rest of the back seat, was bent forward. At first, I thought this was just my problem (buyer beware). But then I realized how cheaply made the material was. I could see where any person with much strength could have easily bent it if the latch was stuck. The previous Hyundai Tucson 2007 I had bought from the dealer was not at all this cheaply made. I also had the extended warranty from the previous owner, so I took it to Roseville Hyundai to be looked at. They stated that since the consumer most likely bent it, it was not under warranty. Then, Robert ** (the service consultant at Roseville Hyundai) agreed that it was cheaply made and stated that the quality in Hyundai vehicles has greatly diminished since 2007 and the recession. I then called Hyundai Consumer Affairs and spoke to Allison. She said the same.

2014 Hyundai Elantra - Around 74,000 miles my engine started making a ticking noise. It would get quieter as it warmed up. When I took it to the dealership, the mechanic that looked at it said another Elantra engine went bad, this winter took a lot of engines out. We got a lot of bad engines in this winter. Something is wrong with these engines. Then he informed me that I would need a new engine. This was a Hyundai dealership mechanic that stated this. I already knew something was wrong because of the Sonata engine recall and all of the blogs where Elantra engines were going bad between 68 and 75,000 miles. I took better care of this engine than the book called for. But since I was the second owner the warranty had run out at 60,000 miles. When I bought it around 35,000 the engine sounded perfect. And it was a certified car from a car lot. Hyundai says they only warranty certified cars from a Hyundai car lot. Never again will I buy a throwaway car. In my opinion the engine need to be recalled, they know they have an issue. I am currently driving a 2018 Elantra for a week while I get another car. The engine has 2200 miles on it and I can hear the same ticking already, plus it shakes a little coming from the drive train, until it is driven at least 10 miles. The steering tends to get rigid from time to time like I am sliding on some ice.

Fast forward to last week (March 2016) my wife experienced engine trouble with it. No check engine light or anything. But no problem, they have a 10yr/100,000 mile warranty on it, right?? WRONG! I took it in to get the engine fixed and they denied my request. They stated that based on what they saw, I didnt maintain the vehicle. Not once did they ask for my service records! They refuse to honor their warranty EVEN AFTER I provided proof of maintenance! This car was not even 2 years old yet. How frustrating. Be sure and avoid these guys. Theyre crooked. My husband was in a serious automobile accident and passed away because of the injuries in October. He leased a Genesis and the lease was up in October. When I turned in the car I ended up owing over 2500 because of mileage overage fees. I had wrote the CEO of Hyundai and the President of Hyundai finance to waive the fees. We incurred the overage charges because we had to go see my critically injured husband in the hospital and drove over 100 miles each day. They would not waive the fees and submitted the fees to collection which lowered my credit score. I have incurred medical expenses due to my husband death and had to sell my home. I am unable to get an apartment thanks to Hyundai. My credit score was lowered and I did not qualify. I did pay this bill in full and I still had my credit score lowered. I will never buy another Hyundai again. My husband and I did love our cars but I was just blown away with how heartless these people are. We have leased two cars from Hyundai and I bought my car. They clearly got quite a bit of money from us already but they did not have the heart to help out a widow who had medical bills and is just trying to survive. In fact I am trying to figure out where I am going to live right now. I had a friend who also lost her husband and the car dealer waived the overage fees. It was not Hyundai. On Jan. 21, 2014 I purchased a Certified Pre-owned 4 door, 2010 Hyundai Accent GLS from CarMax in Hickory, N.C. I was assured that this was a safe, reliable car, with great gas mileage. I took the car back twice within 3 days because of random noise under the hood but was told it was nothing to worry about. On Jan. 28, 2014 the car was totaled in a snow storm in Marion, N.C. while driving 40-50mph in a 70mph zone when I hit a truck that had already wrecked in my lane of traffic. I tried to slow down but the brakes locked up and I slid into the truck. I hit the truck so hard that it exploded my battery, computer, and radiator on impact and turned off. But NONE of the 6 airbags worked in my new certified pre-owned DEATH TRAP. My head bounced off of the steering wheel and then bounced back to the headrest. I suffered 3 torn ligaments in my neck, whiplash, etc. The foreign P.O.S was supposed to have 2 front, 2 side, and 2 overhead airbags and none worked. I couldve been hurt a lot worse or killed that day having no protection. The seat belt tightened so bad that I had bruising for over a week across my chest and stomach from the seat belt that felt like someone took a ball bat to me. If you have a death-wish, this is the perfect car to buy! CarMax and Hyundai passed the blame of course. CarMax said that it was the manufacturers fault and Hyundai said that it was because I failed to slow down! I asked for a copy of the black box reading results from Hyundais engineering analyzer at Hyundai Motor America in Fountain, Valley, CA and was told that the report was classified information that I could not see! The reading told the real story of why the non-working airbags almost killed me Im sure, but I was not allowed to see. Total BS! I have had to pay over $2500 for a car I drove 7 days. BEWARE! Dont BUY A HYUNDAI!

When a company makes a bad product and they put it out to the buyers of their product, but they dont help fix the bad product, they dont care about the families that are driving these defective cars. WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING WRONG, MAKE IT RIGHT! Here is the answer they give: TRADE IN YOUR CAR FOR ANOTHER CHANCE TO GET LUCKY. We are a 7 people family with a defective car that burns 28$ a month on oil, with this as the only car. We were told we need a new engine, due to car that did not pass the oil tests for CAMPAIGN 953. Everything else failed but the engine rod was good, so DENIED. Good Luck with your Hyundai issues. There are so many out there.

The paint on the hood and roof bubbles and peels after 4 years. Hyundai is aware of the problem, there was a class action filed against them. They refuse to cover this repair under warranty. Love this Hyundai SUV! We have over 200,000 miles on it and it just keeps going and going! Weve gone on many road trips and it handles like a dream. Weve traveled from CA to Florida a couple of times and never any problems. The car holds all our luggage on road trips, keeps us protected and fun to drive. I love the heater/air conditioner, smooth ride, the rear seat folds down to hold our luggage on long trips and for any big items we may buy and very comfortable to sleep in if we need to. But I wish they would make it a little better on mileage.

I have a 2007 Elantra. First, I had to replace the rack and onion at 75000 miles, which is highly unusual for a vehicle. Of course it was just 10k over mileage to be under the warranty. The certified Hyundai dealer told me this was the problem and I had it replaced but the steering still felt sloppy and I made them keep looking. When they finally looked at it they realized the bearings in the steering shaft were worn. They were going to charge me for this but I told them I just paid 1200 for a fix I may not have needed and the dealer did not charge. When I came in to pick up the car the dealer as Lee said they would cover it under the power train -- I still havent figured out how the steering column is covered and the rack was not. I also reported this to Consumer Affairs and they listened but didnt do anything to make it right. Now the car has 85,000 miles on it and it has stalled out when Im going slow or idling. Its happened about 4 times in 6 months and it is very dangerous because its so random. I hate my Hyundai and will never buy another one. Its a great warranty on a piece of junk.

I purchased a 2007 Hyundai Tiburon in March of 2011. It currently has 60,312 miles. Whenever the car needs to shift into 2nd gear, it jumps. I have been told that I need a new transmission. Being that I am not the first owner of this car, the 100,000 mile warranty does not apply. Being that the mileage is so low, I feel that the transmission should have not gone out so soon. Worst experience of my life. I bought a 2017 Veloster, drove it off the lot with 6 miles. Within a year I’ve had my power steering column replaced, the motor for my sunroof and my MOTOR BLEW AT 28K MILES! If you have any work done to your car, expect not to hear anything for 3 weeks and them keeping your car for 2 months! The techs there take everything as a joke, and laugh about how many problems you have with their cars. One of the techs even stated if we told you how bad they are, how would we sell them? I took my car there the month before complaining that it was driving weird, they never even test drove it and stated everything was perfect yet a month later I was left stranded on the road, yet again. Please whatever you do, stay far away from the Tampa Location and Hyundai ALL TOGETHER!!! Worse choice I ever made, I regret buying that car!!!

I bought this car when it was 3 yrs old and had it for 2 yrs. I noticed the engine took a long time to start and just got worst. When I took it in for a service they found the head gasket had blown. This is on a 5 yr old car! Whats worse is the warranty had just run out by a couple of weeks. I rang up Hyundai but they wouldnt repair it under warranty or goodwill since it just run out. You dont expect a head gasket to blow on a car this age. This is more common on very old cars with high mileage. Considering this is a very unusual thing to happen and with its warranty just run out you would expect Hyundai to fix it for me or at least pay some of the cost. The cost to fix it is just under a £1000 and the car is only worth £5000 :(

This also happens when the car is hot in the summer and I put the air conditioning on. Hyundai says it is my imagination. I think there is something in the duct work outgassing. Most of the staff in Fairfax Hyundai Dealership, including supervisor, are rude and ruthless. The manager does not show up to the showroom, and does not return any calls. My Hyundai 2003 Sonata started smoking on New Years day. The car battery got drained due to an electric short circuit. The car was towed, and after paying $582, within 24hrs, the car smoked again. The dealer explained that this is a different problem, and I must pay an additional $250 to fix the auxiliary plug in the trunk. The dealer blamed me and the things in my trunk, to cause the electric plug to fuse (never heard of this before). My car is stuck at the dealer, and I want to take them to court for cheating, not fixing the issue, and jeopardizing the life of my sister who got stranded with a smoking car in the middle of night. I am trying to begin the process of making a lemon law claim on our Santa Fe. I am wondering if anybody else has had problems with the back liftgate automatically closing. We have had it repaired 3 times already, and now after taking it in 6 months ago they have still not been able to get it fixed for what would be the 4th time. I have been hit in the head numerous times, and the other day my son was trapped by the liftgate. Luckily I was there to get it off of him, because it will not stop coming down unless you pull very hard against it and he is 8 and was face down. The dealership is useless, they have been ordering the parts for 6 months. We have called repeatedly and get the same answer. Unfortunately there is not another dealer close enough for us to go to, and they also have told us we have to get it repaired at their dealership. This is a joke, and I was wondering if others have had the same issue. Just trying to get all the evidence I can to try and force a resolution. We basically do not use the back of our car anymore. Now I’m going to be charged $800 to fix it. I even took it to a different repair shop to ask their opinion. Those guys said they had no idea how this damage could have been caused without any evidence of any damage to anything else. Hyundai claims to have the best warranty in the industry. Now I have a car that I cant drive because of safety issues and not one representative from Hyundai cared that my car was is unsafe to drive while Im still paying monthly payments on the car. On December 23, my Hyundai vehicle was repossessed. I was shocked! I double checked my online bank account and could not find any lapses in payments. I tried calling them on December 24 and of course no one was in. I kept trying and finally reached them on Dec 29. When I called them and they said their records show me 41 days late but could not give me the exact information on when I missed a payment. There was a bunch of double talk about how much principal and interest had been applied and they tried to avoid my direct questions such as when my payment is due, what my minimum payment amount was etc. This is no way to do business!!! Then they tell me in order to reinstate my loan, I have to pay $1038 plus repo fees, plus storage cost of the vehicle. Then she tells me that the repo lot only holds the car 2-5 days. That the car had already probably be sent to auction. They have violated my rights in so many ways. Just do yourself a favor and steer clear of Hyundai motor finance. I am on my 4th consecutive Hyundai, and for the most part find them to be good value. BlueLink, on the other hand has changed my opinion of Hyundai. The customer care service, which is required to get any other service, is not valuable and Ive never used it. I paid over $3K extra for a package with push button start so I could take advantage of the remote start feature. Its ridiculous that I have to pay $200/year to use this. I would actually be much better off to pay to have a remote car starter installed. Id do this if I hadnt paid so much for the push button start feature. Ive tried calling Hyundai to see if they could offer any sort of promotional rate, especially considering that now new owners get 3 free years of BlueLink. I tried calling BlueLink customer service on several occasions and hung up after being on hold for over 30 min each. Finally, after a 45 min hold I got through and the rep was able to offer me absolutely nothing. I let him know that when I trade next time, I will be inclined to consider something other than Hyundai.

I have purchased 3 new Hyundais in the last 4 1/2 years. I would consider myself a loyal customer. On 8/19/18 I stopped at Jenkins Hyundai in Ocala, FL. to purchase my 4th Hyundai in 4 1/2 years. I had with me the internet information on the SUV I was going to purchase. Listed below plus the window sticker posted on their website.Detailed Pricing. Stock # : Y5005 / VIN : KM8J33A21JU683376. $30,800MSRP. $1,000Savings. $29,800 No-Haggle Price. $2,500 Hyundai Offer. $500 Hyundai Offer. $26,800 Final Price. $500 Conditional Offer. $500 Conditional Offer. $400 Conditional Offer. When I sat down to purchase the SUV I was told the price was just a little over $35,800 because of the added dealer extras. This information wasnt listed on the website (as you can see above). I came to the dealership to negotiate the price listed above $26,800 and was told I could purchase the SUV for $32,800 plus tags, taxes and a dealer prep fee of $899.00. As you can see above $26,800 Final Price. Only a fool would fall for this scam!I ask why they didnt list the $35,800 on the internet and their answer was we dont have to. This is totally dishonest! In doing some more research on the SUV and cars on the Jenkins lot I discovered most if not all are priced this way and are not listed on the website. They are all similar to the deal I was served up. The bottom line is that the website price is a scam to get you to the dealership so they can rip you off. This was a horrible experience. At previous dealerships when purchasing a Hyundai I was treated with respect and they negotiated in GOOD FAITH! You should be ashamed for having a crooked dealerships like this one!

Because Hyundai has been using Western Union (Hyundai is the only company I pay electronically that has chosen to use Western Union) they now want to pass on to the consumer $3.95 on each occasion to offset what they are paying Western Union. I may send in a check, costing me 50 cents, and they feel that can process that check without a $3.95 fee. In the future I will research credit practices prior to another car purchase OR in the final deal I will look to extract 48 x 3.95 - almost $200 out of the final number.

I purchased a new (only 100 kms) 2009 Sante Fe last year that had been sitting on a dealers lot for two years. It is a standard front wheel drive and thats why they say it wouldnt sell because no one wanted a standard, but I did. Since my purchase (I now have 30,000 km), there has been a bad vibration between 80km-120 km. You can see the passenger seat and the back one shacking. I phoned the dealership I purchased it from who is 3.5 hours away from me and they told me that it was the tires and it was up to me to replace. (This was after several balances out of my own pocket.) So luckily, I found a good tire dealership whose tire rep said he would replace the tires at no charge. This did not fix the problem. So to save time and money, I went to a Red Deer Hyundai dealership (only 45 minutes away) and for the last four months, they have been trying to resolve it. I now have new motor mounts, new wheel bearings, two new axles and when that didnt work, they tried the transmission! When they opened it, it was all rusted and there were two rocks inside? They were baffled but figured a new transmission would fix it. It did not! So here I am today with my unsatisfactory car and an empty wallet! What do I do next? The dealership is at a loss and Hyundai Canada just keeps calling the dealership relaying the information I already know! I have had to take numerous days off work and so much fuel to travel back and forth to the dealership. Someone please help me! I would sell the vehicle but who would buy a vehicle that vibrates. Im so stuck and it makes me sick that I spent this kind of money and have horrible results.

In July 2015, I bought 2015 Hyundai Sonata limited edition. It comes with 5 year road side assistance. Yesterday June 25, 2016, I went to Twin Lakes State Park for small picnic with my wife and 10 months old son. When I was about to return home around 6:30 PM, I realized that I left my keys in the trunk and the car locked out. My mobile doesnt have any network signal, luckily I have called the Hyundai road side assistance by using my friends mobile. The customer care professional took all my details and said, somebody is going to call me.After 5 mins I got a call from someone and they reviewed my details and said, the warranty on my VIN number is not showing up, and they are going to call the dealer and update me. I didnt get any after 30 mins so I called them back again. The story started from scratch again, they took all my details again and said they are going to send a text message, a driver details and approximate arrival time. I waited for some more time and called again, this time the automatic answering machine was telling that, my request was put on hold and asked me to un-hold. I have opted for un-hold, the story started again, they verified all the details again, but luckily this time the customer care professional was nice and told that, he will take it personally and try to reach the driver right away and update. He kept me on-hold for 10 mins and said, he tried to reach around 10 drivers and none of them are not available right now. He continued and said, he will try to reach more drivers personally and call me back once he gets the driver. All this story lasted for about 2 hours, but I havent got any assurance for any help. No assurance on somebody coming, when...etc. I really felt sad about this, because Hyundai made lots of promises for road side assistance when I bought my car. More importantly I was at the lake almost alone with my friends and 10 months old son waiting for this road side assistance.

I was very pleased with my Hyundai Tiburon. It was relatively low maintenance, performed satisfactorily and was aesthetically pleasing. I also liked that it was a manual transmission and performed very well.

On March 19, 2014, around 2pm I was driving home from my place of work in Temecula, CA, where my car had been off & parked for at least three hours. I was northbound on Highway 15, between Murrieta Hot Springs and California Oaks Road, in my 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The car seemed to be driving fine until suddenly the car immediately starting smoking from under the hood and as I was pulling over to the side of the freeway, flames emerged. As soon as I pulled over and put the car in park, I hopped out hoping it wouldnt blow up with me inside. Then, after multiple failed attempts to extinguish the fire, it finally went out with the help of a few good Samaritans. Im extremely thankful, my fiancee and baby girl were not in the car with me. According to the incident report, it was the fuel line that had failed. Yet according to the Hyundai reps who have contacted me since towing my car to Hyundai in Temecula, they cannot determine the cause of the fire. Ive done some extensive research on similar occurrences only to find out that there have been multiple unresolved fires in Hyundai Sonatas around the US. After 2 months of a thorough investigation on my vehicle, they sent me a letter stating they had no idea what caused the fire. So, they cannot agree that the fire was caused by the vehicle. Ive found plenty others with the same issue. Can you say CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!?

On 8/8/2017 my Hyundai Elantra vehicle started clunking as a way getting on to the highway. After pulling over, I saw a huge puddle of oil that was leaking out of my vehicle. After having it towed and inspected I was told that something let loose in the engine and blew a hole right through. This was after only going through a puddle but then having all parts affect cleaned out. A week later this is what happens. I have never owned a vehicle where the engine had to be replaced so quickly. It is only a 2015 with 109,000 miles approximately. I had a previous 2010 Hyundai that surpassed that mileage. I believe that something is defective in the way they have made these engines in newer year models. Everyone should be aware of this before purchasing because I am now spending thousands of dollars after only 2 years of owning the vehicle on top of being stuck with a significant amount due on my car loan.

My daughter was driving my 2011 Hybrid Sonata home from Florida when the engine seized in Georgia. It was towed to Peacock Hyundai where they helped my daughter tremendously by getting her another vehicle to finish her trip home. Since the engine wouldn’t be there in a timely matter, Hyundai gave us fair market value for the vehicle. Everyone that we dealt with was very helpful. I would recommend Peacock Hyundai of Georgia and also the Hyundai products.

I would like to express the way I feel about a recent unpleasant experience
I would like to express the way I feel about a recent unpleasant experience my family and I went through at one of your dealerships in Bogota, Colombia. We were referred to the Hyundai location on at Carrera 34 and 13 Calle in Bogota. We went to get a car for my nephew. The sales lady was **. She asked us for many types of papers including real state proof that I have down there, a person with great credit history, which I use my brother in-law for it. I also offered up 30,000,000 pesos which translates to $15,000 on a car that only costs 56,000,000 pesos which translates to $30,000. We were trying to finance just half of it because I will pay off the car in less than six months. I guess everything was going okay with all the submitted paperwork because Erika asked me to bring 3,000,000 pesos cash and I did, which is equal to $1,650 to set the car aside for us. Now, the finance gentleman, **, even got involved and said that it will be possible for the deal to go through due to all paperwork provided and the amount of money I was giving ($15,000).All of a sudden, I called Javier on 8/16/2012 from the Miami because I had to come back from vacations and he said that we were not approved because my brother-in-law did not have a super credit history, which it is not what he said in the first place. He said that his credit history was good enough plus all the money. Okay, I am not upset that much about whatever reason your company decided not to approve us. I work with customer service for an outstanding company here in the States and no one gives the amazing service we do to our guest. So, yes I was not impressed for a second with your customer service at that location. Now, the issue I have, it is that I gave your company, Hyundai, $1,650 to set the car aside for us. Now, ** said that he has nothing to do with that, which is hurtful. He said he does not work for Hyundai. He works for the finance company. Funny, I met him inside your Hyundai dealership. And now, ** is too busy go to the cashier window and give us our money back. She said she is at an event and she cannot do anything about it. She said that we need to wait over a week to get our deposit back into an account of my family. When have you heard that!? I gave you, Hyundai, cash and I expected it back now! I already got a car today for my nephew with the Dodge in Bogota with no hassles at all! I just need my money back! I would continue to send this email to every dealership in the States and international. Someone needs to clean up dealers/sales teams that are super misleading.

I bought a 2013 Elantra about 2 years ago... One day I was simply driving down the street and my car stalled out and applied the brakes by itself and I nearly got in a wreck. I called my boyfriend (a mechanic) and he came to where I was and drove the car home to see if he could figure out what was going on. The next day I took it to Hyundai of Muskogee. The car thankfully did repeat the stalling and braking by itself for the mechanic working on the car. However they could never get the car to pull a code as I was told. They had my car for 7 days. They told me it was my tires so they put 4 new tires on this car.A few months later the car did the same thing again... stalled and applied the brakes by itself... so again I put 4 new tires on the car. Both times this happened I was only driving down the road at about 35mph. The last straw was when the car again did this with my daughter driving and cause dont her to have a wreck. (I had tried to get the car in two weeks before this occurred and was told by Hyundai they couldnt get it in right now and they did not have a loaner car) I told them what was happening and left my # for them to please call asap when they got a car in. 2 weeks later I had not heard from them and the accident happened. Not trusting Hyundai of Muskogee at this point I drove it to Hyundai of Tulsa. I drove it there the very next day without calling or making an appointment and told the manager of automotive what had happened. They provided me a car and he was told he couldnt touch the car until an investigation was done on the car.6 MONTHS LATER I finally got an email telling me basically nothing was wrong with the car and they would not do anything about it!!! Im beyond furious! As far as I know they only pulled codes on the car and the codes were sent in. No one from the investigation team even test drove the car!!! I will never deal with this company again! Horrible customer service! After all I have been through and waiting for 6 months on my car they couldnt even spell my name right on the email I received! How unprofessional! I would never recommend this car nor this company. I have been investigating and there are 1000s of complaints on this car. The company is aware and last I read there are no recalls on this car.

In February 2010, I bought a new 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring from a RT.44 Hyundai dealership in Raynham, Massachusetts. I was very pleased with the vehicle, still am. Here is the issue: About a week ago, I came out to the Touring and noticed that the passenger side front bumper cover was just hanging on and was no longer attached to the fender. I looked to see why it wasnt attached and saw that the tab from the bumper cover that secures it to the fender on the inside had completely sheared off from the inside of the bumper cover. It was not broken, chipped, or cracked it was sheared completely off in a straight line the whole tab. I had an oil change scheduled the next day with RT.44 Hyundai. When I arrived, I informed my service adviser about the bumper problem.Later when I went to pick the vehicle up, I was informed by the service adviser that RT.44 Hyundai would not cover the replacement of the bumper cover due to the fact that the mechanic found two hairline scratches that never even broke through the clear coat on that side of the bumper cover. These scratches that I had never seen before where so small and light they look like it was made by a tree branch or something and would buff out with compound and a towel. There was no other damage around the surrounding area at all. This was the reason they stated why they would not cover it under the warranty. I then asked to speak to a service manager and brought him out to see the vehicle and showed him the bumper cover. When we walked out to the vehicle, it was drizzling rain and I showed him the cover and let him look it over. He never once mentioned even seeing any scratches around the area. He wasnt made aware of them until we went back inside and he brought my information up on his computer and saw what the mechanic had written. He then stated it would cost me in excess of $1,000 to have the bumper replaced. Im a single mother and do not have the financial resources to lay out that kind of money.I then sent an email to Consumer Affairs of Hyundai of America and was instructed by them to bring my vehicle to another Hyundai dealership for them to look at it. I brought the vehicle to another Hyundai dealer (the closest being 20 miles away). They put the vehicle on the lift and validated everything I was stating on a work order, that no damage was found to cause that bumper tab to snap off the way it did. So now with this in hand, I felt pretty good about my chances of getting the bumper cover replaced under warranty. I contacted Consumer Affairs again and told them of the outcome and that I had gotten a work order from that dealership confirming everything I was stating. The T2 supervisor from Consumer Affairs then told me I would have to go back to the dealership I purchased the vehicle from and rehash it out with them as she stated they had no authority to tell a dealership to honor the warranty. I had done everything they asked me to do at my expense just to have them tell me that I would have to argue with the original dealership over it again. I have kept all the emails correspondences with Consumer Affairs of Hyundai and the work order from the other dealership. So as of today, Im driving around with my front bumper cover held on by tape. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

3 weeks ago, I bought my 2016 Genesis Coupe and the car salesman did not tell me that the car was going to be very low to the ground, about 3 inches. Yesterday, as I was pulling into a parking spot, the front splash shield guard under my car, got stuck by the parking stopper made out of cement and as I pull back out, the splash shield broke off at the right side. I took the car to the Hyundai dealership to get it repaired. Well, it is going to be over $1,400.00 lots of damage for a little accident that should not had happened, if they would had disclose the height of the car. Just because no one told me that the car is very low to the ground and the splash shield may get stuck and break off as you pull back.
