My Honda CRV 2005 has a failed ABS (ABS light, warning light and VSA light is on while running). The present mileage is only 48,754km. I am the first owner and I purchased it brand new, well-taken cared. The dealer said, ABS system is only covered for 3 years or 60,000km, which ever comes first. I feel that it is not right. The ABS brake system life depends on usage, not time. The word which ever comes first is wrong and against the consumers benefit.

I bought my 02 Accord brand new, and now have 174K on the clock. Ive replaced the transmission 3 times, and finally found a shop here in San Francisco that built it correctly. They told me that Honda transmissions are unlike any other standard transmission design and they fail often. Theres too much pressure kept in the torque converter, and not enough return fluid for the unit to function correctly. There are several aftermarket fixes, of course, that you have to pay for. When I picked my car up at the shop, there were 3 Accords, 3 Odysseys and 2 MDXs. I called American Honda to ask for some sort of help seeing as this is my 3rd time around the pony show - nothing. Shame on Honda for being so stupid in their design. Im not going back for more.

Though they promised to replace the key and lock system, they have not done it so far. Its completely their responsibility, and I didnt expect such service from a Honda showroom. I purchased my 2020 Honda CRV and immediately noticed a very loud static buzzing sound coming from my radio every time I drove by a radio or cell antenna tower. It is so loud that I can’t hear what is being said on the talk show. I took my 2020 Honda CRV into the Gunn Honda Service department and they tested the radio along with another new 2020 Honda CRV. Their conclusion was that the radio in all 2020 Honda CRVs makes a loud buzzing static sound when driving by a radio or cell tower. So they said they could not fix the radio and justified their decision by using the disclaimer that says that the radio may experience static noise. Even Honda Corporate refused to help. I have only bought Honda’s and none of the others ever had this problem. I would never have bought this car if they had told me about the radio problem upfront.

I love cruising on the highway and was looking for a powerful bike for this purpose. Honda is the most trusted two-wheeler brand anywhere in the world and I selected the CB1100EX after taking a test ride and going through reviews. Trust me, this is an amazing bike. The build quality is solid. Honda has used premium parts to make this motorcycle. I have commanded other cruise bikes but the happiness and satisfaction that I got from the CB1100EX were unparalleled. The riding posture is straight up. The seat is comfortable and spacious which reduces rider fatigue

The Honda Jazz is extremely comfortable and easy to drive. Some of its features are very good for example the warning if you cross the lane marking. It is very useful that the forward facing camera picks up the speed limit signs and shows them for you. I also like the reversing camera which together with the wing mirrors makes backing up a pleasure.

The interior in the car is supposed to be leather. Thats what the company says. The interior is not leather - it is ripping. The seats are all worn too. Too worn my car is a 2009. My warranty is up and the dealer says Im responsible for paying for this. How is that right?! Its their faulty interior and I have to pay. I have several friends who are having the same problem, so its not just my car. This is a nationwide problem and Honda refuses to do anything about it. I bought a Honda because I thought I would get a good quality vehicle. That is not the case.

Beyond dissatisfied with horrible paint quality and worse customer service
Beyond dissatisfied with horrible paint quality and worse customer service from Honda USA. I am awaiting a reply from consumer affairs with regards to my wifes 2014 Honda Accord, purchased new from Jim Coleman Honda in Clarksville, Maryland. My wife purchased the vehicle, along with an extended paint protection warranty (to protect the paint finish against premature wear, rust, staining, etc.), which covers the vehicle for 7 years from the date of purchase. In the past 6 months, we have taken note that the factory paint finish has begun to shrink and peel back from the rear window glass along the surrounding body panels. We notified the dealership, and they advised that there is a known factory defect with vehicles finished in Pearl White (my wifes paint color) and dark metallic blue, where this pattern has been observed. There are countless accounts of this paint defect online. Some representative web posts are linked below; There are many more... https://www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/Accord/2014/body_paint/inferior_paint_and_clear_coat.shtml https://www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/Accord/2014/body_paint/paint_peeling.shtml https://www.autobody-review.com/blog/what-is-happening-to-my-honda-paint-problems https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/paint-peeling-away-pics-included.544831/?fbclid=IwAR0rabgCs3mFj6yijicnLY4m2v_v00HGgNbyD2Fu898TA-kGuy_QDaT3qo0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE3HLhHYh0wThere is even an entire Facebook group dedicated to raising awareness and seeking remediation to this obvious manufacturers defect: https://www.facebook.com/groups/389497225179056/. The dealer advised that they believed this to be a factory defect, and not a warranty issue and reached out to Honda, USA on our behalf. We were advised that resolution was reached with Honda, USA and they agreed to pay on a 90/10 basis (90% of the repair costs would be paid by Honda; we would be responsible for 10%) and we were asked to bring the vehicle in to a Honda Certified Repair Facility (Chandlers Collision Center in Columbia, MD).We brought the vehicle in to the recommended shop, and while we were able to obtain a repair estimate, the shop adjuster began scraping at the paint (causing further damage) which left an extremely unpleasant feeling about the shop. When we asked to see samples of paint work they had completed, the adjuster showed me 2 vehicles on the lot -- each one worse than the previous in terms of color match, paint texture and body work quality. Further, we were advised that Honda would not stand behind this shops work, despite telling us that this was their shop of preference, deferring any quality issues with the repair to the repair facility policies. We advised Jim Coleman Honda of our desire to have the repair performed at another facility that we had located (also Honda Certified): Subway Auto Body in Gambrills, MD. We had the opportunity to meet with this shop manager/owner who was very understanding of the nature of the repairs needed, the process needed to repair correctly and warrantied workmanship integrity. We asked about having the repair performed at this facility instead, and were advised that Jim Coleman would look into this with Honda and get back to us.Weeks went by without any feedback despite numerous calls to both Honda and Jim Coleman, and finally I escalated the issue with Honda, USA. I received a call-back from Honda advising that we took too long to schedule the repair, and therefore they were no longer accepting responsibility. The Honda representative would not allow me to get a word in edgewise, despite pleading with them that the reason the repair was not scheduled was due to a lack of response in how to proceed on their end. They refused to listen, vulgarities were exchanged, and they refuse to address this matter. Subsequent calls into Honda, and we are seemingly black-listed from speaking with a representative.Bottom line, we have email traffic assuring us that the repair would be covered at a 90/10 split, numerous inquiries on how to proceed that went unanswered, and now we are left with a nearly $2,500 repair bill for a factory defect. The shop owner at Subway has also attempted to reach out to Honda on our behalf and they wont even return a phone call -- mind you this shop pays annual fees to remain an accredited Honda Repair facility, so this says a great deal for Honda, USA in general. Since the time when we first notified Honda of the issue, the damage has spread to the full surround of the rear glass and is continually growing larger. It is despicable that Honda refuses to accept responsibility and worse that their lack of customer service follow through has only delayed remediation.

My CD player in my 2007 Honda Accord, which I use sparingly as I have 2 other vehicles and 2 Honda motorcycles, started giving an error message. Then, my CD player would not work properly. I can no longer eject the three CDs that are in the player. I learned that the 2003-2004 Accords had a service bulletin (04-027 dated 07/09/04) concerning the CD player which the same unit was used in the 2007 Accord. The Honda dealer here in Greenville, NC recommended that I take it to a local (tech) shop and have them do the service. The Honda dealership here in Greenville, NC would charge me $92.00 just to take the CD player out and ship it off to wherever they send it to for service. Then, I would have to pay to have it serviced and again to have it re-installed. I have learned (online) that there is a significant problem with this 6-CD Changer in 2007 Accords. Honda refuses to stand behind their product and wants to shift the cost to the consumer. I have been fairly satisfied with my 2007 Accord, which I bought from Coastal Carolina Honda of New Bern, NC (no longer in business). I thought that from here on out I would only purchase Honda vehicles for the rest of my life. Now, after also seeing how Honda failed to stand behind correcting a problem on my Honda Magna motorcycle, which also had a service bulletin regarding engine overheating because of lack of oil flow that they later re-engineered in newer models, drilling an additional hole in the engine head to allow for more oil flow, my mind has been made up concerning Honda and all of their products. I will no longer purchase any Honda product. I really believed that the company had more integrity than that. But, boy, was I ever wrong! I will soon sell my Honda Accord and motorcycles and kiss Honda goodbye. Life is too short to allow such aggravation in your life. Who needs a company that will not stand behind their own products? I am pretty conscientious about taking care of my things. The problems that have arisen from my Honda car and motorcycle, were due to no fault of my own. They were problems Honda created by their poor engineering and even when the company was made aware of such problems, they continued to pass the cost on to the consumer. Honda was not concerned about saving face. They were more concerned about getting as many US dollars as they could and not having to pay out anything to correct poorly engineered mistakes that they sold and passed on to the consumer. Buyer beware! Not even Honda is concerned about doing the right thing. I have purchased my last Honda product and I will make sure that I do everything I can to let others know to watch out if theyre even thinking about purchasing a Honda.

I bought a 2017 CRV EX. We installed our car seat in the middle back row of the car. The car seat belt buckle and passenger belt buckle were switched, making it unsafe and difficult for the passenger to put on their seat belt. This is surprising to me because I dont think this is a small mistake. Its a safety issue. I called the dealer, Ralph Schomp Honda in Highlands Ranch, where we bought the car, and I was advised to bring it in for a half day inspection. This is already a hassle, to add to that, the dealer also charges $22/day for a loaner car. I feel like I am being hassled for a big mistake that Honda has made. This just doesnt feel right. This is a brand new 2017 car.I called America Honda and I was told that no one has complained about this. I Googled it and there are others that have complained about this situation. America Honda advised me to bring it into the dealership. Overall, I love the car but I am very disappointed about this big safety mistake from Honda and they are not being proactive to fix the issue. I called American Honda several times and they told me that they cant fix the issue at this time and have done everything according to federal safety regulations. I am very disappointed with American Honda.

I have a 2010 Honda Accord 4cl and have over 99,000 miles on it. I have brought my car in and also called the Dover, NH location. My car is using more than the 5qt. oil amount when I get my oil changed. Your employees response, I could pay for an oil change and maybe be reimbursed; However, if it is more than a quart over a 1,000 miles they wont pay for it. So, basically Honda is aware of the problem and is bullying customers! There is a recall and an extended warranty. I showed them the paper I received from Honda about the pistons sticking etc. My car is starting to make a noise also when it starts as well. I need it fixed. No one should have to go back several times to have an issue fixed. Just like the airbags! People are dying and your company should be fixing these issues. I have been very nice and patient. My 2008 Honda Civic has an ongoing problem with peeling and flaking paint. The recall did cover the cost of repainting the trunk, roof and hood. However Honda will not cover the cost to repaint the passenger side of the car around the windows. This paint is the worst area on the car. We have other visible areas starting to flake off and peel away, especially around our windows and it’s only a matter of time before the rest of this faulty paint falls off. I purchase this vehicle in the Spring of 2007 at Honda of Midlands in Columbia SC with 56,000 miles... this was a certified used vehicle with 7 years or 120,000 miles warranty, I purchase the service warranty and religiously took it to the sister dealer in my city. About Mid Feb 2017 I took it for service and they need it to check my engine light as it was on. The tech check the pressure of my cylinders and found #2 to have coolant coming from the wall of the engine. Also, need to repair my seals and other miscellaneous items. Little that I know that the tech found a crack between the wall of the coolant and the engine block thus needing a new engine. Granted I have 158,000 miles on it and no longer has a warranty. Honda told me NO canNOT help me and the dealer ask me for $5,000 for a used re manufactured engine. This is not my first honda as I own also a Honda Civic EX with over 200,000 miles own it. The Service Manager told them that this was a rare occurrence maybe 1 in 10,000 which doesnt help me. I opted for them NOT to repair it and I picked up in pieces sitting in my garage waiting for a new engine. Im not happy nor I want to buy a new one anymore.

I brought my leased HRV -- 21,000 miles and under warranty—into Ocean Honda, Ventura, CA. The airbag light had come on. I was told it was rodent damage. The repair is not covered under warranty and the charge is $2,200! This is exploitation! A simple google search shows that since Honda and Toyota changed to soy-based materials, rodent damage has increased exponentially. Honda is not standing by their manufacturing decisions. I did not make the choice of materials to protect the very critical electrical system, Honda did. I feel so taken advantage of; I dont feel as if I can trust Honda ever again. Honda put out a statement that their solution is the rodent tape - ha! I called to see about buying a roll and the charge from Honda is $79! And how am I, an elderly person, going to wrap the car’s electrical wiring myself! That is outrageous. Not only is Honda not fixing the problem under warranty but is charging me outrageous prices to repair and prevent further problems. This is simply not acceptable when consumers have other choices in the market. I will not be silent about this issue and I hope others who find themselves in this position also voice their experiences and frustration. Honda was once considered a prestigious car maker. This is oh so disappointing and frustrating. If I could afford this expense, I would have a larger car and purchased, not leased. This is something like 10 lease payment for me to repair, no fault of my own. I live in a suburb, not out in the rural countryside. This is exploitative to say the least. Honda needs to step up and stand behind their product.

2009 Honda Odyssey purchased out right. From the very first day this van pulled slightly to the left and would on regular occasions pop the steering wheel right out of my hands. I took it to the dealer so many times I lost count. I even had it reported to the general manager for doing a service test drive on the van. They’re claiming nothing was wrong. Yet this would happen out of the blue and catch me off guard. I felt very unsafe in this van and they would not trade it or swap it out. I now wonder if I had financed it if they would have paid better attention. The consequences were I got fed up with Saratoga Honda messing me around. The van spent more time there than in my possession, so I traded it for a Hyundai and have had zero issues. In fact the service department in Queensbury, NY is far better than Honda in Saratoga. More polite more knowledgeable of their product and they treat me like a human being not an empty-headed female which is the way I felt I was being treated in Saratoga. No more business from me. I own a 2010 Honda Accord coupe EX. This is now the second time the rear driver side quarter panel has cracked. My assumption is because of the quality of the rear quarter panel, material of it, and the cold weather. Both times the quarter panel has cracked, it has started out about an inch and then grew to four or five inches. Same spot both times. The first instance the entire quarter panel was replaced by a Honda dealer. Im now waiting on my insurance company to determine if this was a defect in the repair. I think Honda needs to take ownership as this has to be a common problem with these model Accords. I find it hard to believe that this is now the second quarter panel and has cracked in the same spot again. Seems like a defect and a recall needed from Honda.

I bought the EX v-6 and soon found out that the front brakes are choppy every time you stop going over 30 miles per hour. Then the engine misfired at 43000 miles. That was the 2 cylinder that was later covered under the legal settlement with Honda, but my 5th cylinder misfired at 69000 miles and that was not covered. You are only covered for the first 4 cylinders and that really irked me because it cost 300 bucks for a new coil and spark plug. I am quite angry with Honda on this misfire issue and they seem to be ignoring what a real problem it is.

Today I called and talked to American Honda. Ill start off with saying the worst customer service ever. They dont even offer to help you. They just apologize 10,000 times and then want to go about their way. My car isnt covered under the warranty for paint. For reasons I dont even understand. I have an 09 Civic. The paint is starting to deteriorate. It looks like someone literally took a scrub brush to my car and is in the beginning stages of my paint chalking. This is a 7-year-old car. Ive seen cars that are 15 years old that have better paint jobs than mine and they have been untouched. The only okay thing about my Honda is that it hasnt broken down on the side of the road yet. American Honda is the biggest joke of a company and so unwilling to help people. The issue needs to be pushed. My car is Crystal Black Pearl. I know its one of the color codes accepted for the repaint but my VIN isnt under the warranty nor did I get a letter. (I am not the original owner of this car.) Im more than displeased. They look cheaper and cheaper every year.

I called Honda because I bought a new 2016 HR-V EX AWD which has the keyless system. The owners guide states I can unlock all doors with the trunk release. It does not and I learned that the owners manual states something different. I also complained to the phone contact because the only door that opens all doors is the passenger door, unlike past vehicles I have had where pushing the button twice opens all doors. I was told this was a security feature of the vehicle. However, it would be just as secure if it required two pushes for all doors and only the current handle grab for the drivers door. When I asked how to get both issues repaired I was told the drivers door was engineered that way and could not be fixed because it was not broken. They will be calling back about the trunk to clarify which is correct, the owners guide or owners manual.I was pleased the company is willing to respond quickly but am entirely dissatisfied with their denial that the doors could be altered given that this version of the car is quite a bit more money than the version with remote entry instead of keyless entry. As the driver, I either have to fish the key fob out of my purse or make my kids wait until I am inside the car to let them in. Im having to train them to stop yanking on the door handles until I am inside. Worse is that I cannot open the back doors myself without the same maneuvering, difficult if I am hauling items I have stored in the back seat.

My situation: I bought a 2013 Civic SI four door in black. I was super happy until I noticed a year ago the paint started getting cloudy and white. Today it looks a lot worse and after undergoing what they call an inspection which was just pictures on one of the employees phone. The case manager had the audacity to inform me that they cant help me because it looks like rock chipping. Should I laugh or just be completely upset? I can say I will no longer depend on this company when it comes to buying a reliable car. I am so disappointed! The cars paint is suppose to have extended warranty of 7 years because of the poor quality of paint or coating they decided to use to save a few dollars. Yet they call me to ask if I would like to trade in my car right after I drive off the Aventura Dealer in Florida. For sales they are quick but the customer service is just disgusting. I will have to get a lawyer involved because this is just unacceptable. Its sad to say I am not the only one with this issue. I wouldnt wish this upon anyone and would never recommend Honda to friends and family again. Getting the car painted out of my pocket is $1000+ and Its just not going to happen. I am still paying this car off as we speak.

We bought our van in Oct 2015, it only had 30 some thousand miles on it. Nov 2016 the engine light came on. Long story short we had to replace all 6 spark plugs. It came up misfire codes. The plugs were black and 1 was actually melted. Our mechanic thought that was strange, but replaced them, 500 bucks later. 8 months later, check engine light again... misfire code for cylinder 1 again, spark plugs were just changed not long ago, so we changed out coil packs. 1 month later again with the engine light... but now its misfire and catalyst codes. Ok, maybe coil packs were defective... there should be no problem with the plugs, they are less than a year old. Change out coil packs, reset codes. 3months later engine light again, wth! Ok, so maybe its just a computer glitch or something, were replaced stuff already. Same codes, reset them and went along with life.Dec 2017, engine light again, then ABS light and another light, I forget which one, but the 2 are lights that have nothing to do with the engine. Still same codes, misfire and catalyst. Within 2 days the lights all went out. Whatever, just dont have time for crap, and van seemed ok I guess. Then last week, engine light came on, van broke down. Got it to mechanic. Same codes, misfire and catalyst. Plugs are black again. Van has 112k miles on it now. Now my mechanic does some research, because this should not be happening, plus we were low on oil and not due for an oil change yet which we faithfully do. So he finds there was a lawsuit against Honda for the same exact issue going on with my van. For Odyssey up to 2013, well mines a 2013. So they send it to a Honda dealer.Dealer puts in vin, no problem just have to make sure the codes stay, take pictures and submit everything to Honda. Done. Get a call today. Technically my van is not covered under the extended warranty from the lawsuit. So they offer me a courtesy offer, I pay 60% and they pay 40%. I dont think so! Not only is this the 2nd time my van is going in for this repair, but my catalytic converter is now affected because of it, and they want me to pay 900 bucks! My vin is 1 number off from the lawsuits, but I have the same exact engine as those in the lawsuit and the same problem and Honda thinks they are gonna make me pay for repairs for something that is a known problem. They tell me they have nothing else to offer me. Prove to me my engine was affected at the time just because my vin is 1 number off, but yet its the same exact problem that Honda tried to hide before and want me to pay for, well 60% and they pay 40%. Hmmmm???? I made a claim with American Honda, they didnt do crap, and Im still waiting to hear from the District Manager that told the service guy to offer me the deal. Yeah, Im not stupid! And Im at 3 hours later and still havent heard back from anyone.Honda already had 1 lawsuit against them for this problem, and they Im well aware of it but still want to do nothing about it except make me pay over 900 bucks to fix a problem that is apparently a problem Honda has had with many of these engines. Unfortunately we travel a lot, but keep up with the maintenance on our van. Yes it has 112k, but Honda engines are supposed to be really good. They had a problem with this particular engine and now dont want to fix mine on their end.

Early last year (2017) the paint on the roof started to peel and chip and is growing at an alarming rate. The cost to repair this runs about $5,000 in upstate NY, an extended paint warranty was given that expired in 2016 (VERY sneaky Honda). Also the starter motors are garbage, expect to replace once every 2 years or so (another $800 after labor and parts every time). Very surprised Honda has stooped this low on quality but I guess we get what we pay for. That being said no complaints about engine life, which seems to be its only strong point.

No problems with this vehicle so far. The most important consideration in buying a new car is what dealership you buy it from. Many dealerships are pawns of the manufacturer, meaning they protect the manufacturers interest above their customers interest. They dont tell the customer the real truth when the customers car has a defect that the dealership was aware of before the car was sold to the customer. I personally was a victim of a dealership who exactly did what I described above. So, research the dealer more than you research the car you want to buy.

I purchased a new 2006 Honda Civic LX and now, 5 years and 41,000 miles later, the paint is fading and the clear coat is disintegrating! I regularly get my car cleaned and waxed, so it is not neglect. I park my car outside and the paint/clear coat should hold up! I went to Braman Honda in Lake Worth and they said my car was out of warranty - 3 years or 36,000miles. I got an estimate to repaint the roof and trunk lid (the hood had been repaired in Jan. 2011 due to a fender bender) and it will be $671 to repair. I am in the process of getting another estimate. There was a class-action suit for the visors in this vehicle and Honda extended the warranty for those to 7 years. Rather than improving on the design of the visor, they will replace it and after 7 years you are out of luck. I am pretty disgusted at this paint situation and even more so, since I see this is a prevalent problem with Honda - using poor paint and clear coat. I love my 2006 Honda Civic LX Coupe. It is a beautiful car and mechanically, it is fantastic. My friend just bought a 2012 Honda Civic EX. It is beautiful and I am reluctant to upgrade to a Honda because of this paint problem, unless I plan to repaint the car at a cost around $2,300 - $3,000. Honda, what is wrong with you guys? Please improve your paint and you will get rid of a lot of headaches! I want Honda to pay to have my car repainted with good quality paint. This car should last another five years, at least.

We have a 2010 Honda Odyssey with less than 60,000 miles on it. For the first few years, we had our servicing on the vehicle done at the local Honda dealer. After a few years spending several hours at each visit, we were told by multiple people in our small town about a local mechanic in town who is honest and fair. We switched to this mechanic to support local businesses and it is much more convenient and way less expensive. At our last check up for the car, the mechanic found a leak in the steering rack. It is quite a pricey item to fix and the mechanic stated that a car with our age/mileage should not be experiencing this issue and suggested we call Honda to see if they would do right by us. We promptly called Honda and were instructed to contact our local Honda dealer, have the car inspected and call them back. Apparently, there is a warranty extension on the steering pump (not the steering rack). When we called the dealer, we were informed that they would charge $134 to inspect the vehicle and if it was the steering pump, we would get our money back. Otherwise, it is $134 out of our pocket. As we attempted to make an appointment, the gentleman we spoke with took no information, didnt give us a time and actually laughed (this was from Joyce Honda in Denville, NJ). We called Honda customer service back and asked to have the $134 waived as we were certain that the problem was with the rack, not the pump, and since we are looking at a costly repair, we arent willing to waste an additional $134. We were told that all dealers are independently owned and the fee cant be waived. We were also told that they cant help us without having one of their independently owned dealers see the car. They also instructed us that after paying the $134, our case would go to a group who would look at our loyalty to Honda; how often we used their dealers to service our cars and how often we have bought a Honda. Our issue is this; clearly there is a faulty part here and yet Honda is not willing to fix the issue easily. We arent willing to front any cost here especially since we arent confident we are loyal customers since we have our servicing done elsewhere. This is our second and we have to say LAST Honda that we will ever own. Our local mechanic will get our business and we are confident he will fix the problem and all will be well, however, we should not have to cover the cost of a faulty part. Very wrong.

Yesterday, I went in for services and the service manager refused to service my vehicle because of my evaluation. I dont understand why we are asked for a survey of the dealers performance and then if the dealer is not happy with our suggestion, they can refuse services. Why own a Honda if the local dealer is not going to service your vehicle? I was also told that recall work cannot be refused, but they did refuse to perform my recall work. They also made me order and pay for the part, then refused services.

In this sea of negativity, keep in mind that this site is going to be skewed towards those coming here to complain about problems. Venting is understandable. Ive owned unreliable cars in the past. That being said, none of my problem cars have been Hondas. Ive owned Acuras and Hondas, and others in my family have Hondas as well and none of us have experienced problems at all. And were glad for that because thats the #1 reason we chose the manufacturer. Honda is KNOWN for reliability and low cost of ownership and their reputation is built on it. I purchased a 2007 Civic EX w/ Nav back in 2010. Got it for a great price and its been nothing but dead reliable. The only thing Ive had to do is brakes and new tires, all around at 75k miles. Otherwise, its been typical oil changes and fluid top offs. Ive taken the car from Texas to California and back on a road trip. Again, no problems. Im currently sitting at about 90k miles. The only real issue that I take is cosmetic. The front, passenger side fender/bumper, where the bumper meets the wheel well, always comes unhooked and pops out about a half an inch. I have to bump it back into place with the bottom of my fist from time to time. Thats really it. All the electronics work perfectly and it always starts and runs fine.

In May 2008, I purchased a 2003 Honda Accord from the dealership in Leesburg, Florida. Supposedly, it had a certified inspection (I have a sticker anyway). I paid for an extended warranty on the electrical system. Within a week the TCS icon lit up on the dash. I called the said dealership and they told me to bring the car in, which I did. The warning light went off en route. I was told by a service person that they could only check into the problem when the light was on. When I had had enough and demanded they at least try to look into the problem, they informed me that the warranty had expired. I went to Pep Boys and guess what? They identified the problem without the icon being illuminated. So, I had to pay $1,800 out of pocket. I chose Pep Boys to get my business rather than the dealership. Recently, my A/C died. Simultaneously, my CD and radio stopped working and the audio unit’s lights went dark. It turns out a $1,200 part, a faulty electrical board that needs replacing. Again, I appealed to the staff at the dealership. The general manager was rude. He said they didnt have to notify me of service bulletins and that Honda was responsible for notifying me of any recalls. I have since found out that this make and model also has transmission problems, so Im just waiting for that shoe to drop. Never ever trust a company because of its word-of-mouth reputation. Honda has put out some clunkers and their Leesburg dealership - boy, I want to name names - doesnt give a damn. P.S.: I maintain my vehicle regularly and it has fewer than 62,000 miles on it.

I leased a brand new 2016 Honda Odyssey in Oct 2015. Since then I have returned for service numerous times to 1) replace an ignition coil; 2) replace the battery two (2) times (4 additional times it needed to be jumped); and 3) repair of seat warmers. These have represented more than mere inconvenience. Most rational people would say this car is a lemon. Aside from one month lease payment, Honda America dismisses these problems as simply the result of mass production. My representative repeats the same scripted response each and every time I call them. To add insult to injury, I used Honda Roadside assistance, asking them to send a tow truck. What arrived was an old Neon with its side view mirror dangling off and obvious accident damage to the vehicle, with cables that could not reach from his vehicle to mine. Totally ludicrous!! They do not stand behind their products; they lie; provide shoddy products and services; and most alarmingly, dismissed me and my concerns as a consumer. Beware of their tactics and think twice about investing in a Honda. The Honda brand is not what it once was.

My daughter has a 2009 Honda Accord with 85k miles on it. It goes through 3 quarts of oil between oil changes. We submitted a claim even tho the warranty was out by one week but not out on mileage. They told me to take it to a Honda dealer (Ray Price) to do an oil consumption test. Which consist of a oil change (I pay for) then bring it back in around 1000 miles, they check level then report to Honda USA. Heres the problem, I took it back. It lost 3/4 qt by the calibrated eye of the mechanic looking at the dip stick, he didnt drain and measure. Also they didnt use the same weight oil as in the owners manual. The real misconception here is it loses at the same rate. It doesnt between the first 1000 miles and the 2nd 1000 miles it loses faster!!! Sometime between oil changes Ill put in 4 quarts!! I have been a loyal repeat customer of Honda for 26 years and have purchased three new Honda Accords in that time. My first purchase was a 1991 Honda Accord in which I put over 100,000 miles on it before gifting it to my sister who put an additional 100,000 miles on it. I was so pleased with my Honda, that I purchased a new 2005 Honda Accord which I gave to my son for his graduation. I purchased the third Honda Accord in 2008 which I gave to my daughter in 2013. All services for all vehicles were performed through Conicelli Honda, previously known as Sport Honda. I never had an issue with them or Honda until this week. I reside in Pennsylvania and my daughter moved to Chicago after graduating from college at Northwestern University. She continued maintenance services with Castle Honda and Grossinger Honda while living in Chicago per my recommendation to always have it serviced through Honda. My daughter was leaving work and the car made a rattle noise and then stalled and locked up when she approached a stop sign. She called me in a panic and after explaining to me what happened I advised her not to drive it and recommended that she have it towed to the dealership. She said that there was no engine indicator light on and neither was the oil lamp so she had no warning that there was an issue other than the car stalling on her and locking up. I advised her to get a hotel room since it was already midnight by the time the tow truck driver arrived. The next day the technician at Grossing Honda advised that the engine needed to be overhauled for approximately $3,700.00 or replace the engine for $13,000.00. I thought the technician was highly mistaken since there was only approximately 50,000 miles currently on the car. I asked what caused the problem and he said there was nothing that my daughter did to cause it but just something that happens when the pistons shift. This explanation did not appear to be normal to me since I have never had any issues such as this before with my other Honda vehicles. Therefore, I decided to do some research and found that American Honda had prior knowledge of a defect and related conditions regarding the engine on the 2008 to 2011 Honda Accord Coupes and Sedans in addition to the 2010 to 2011 CRV SUVs using an excess of oil consumption that lead to carbon deposits on the piston rings, which eventually reduced the rings effectiveness allowing the oil to seep past. This explained why the technician said there was nothing that my daughter did to cause it nor would she had any indication that there was an issue since she always took it to have the oil changed every 3,000 miles.Unfortunately, being a loyal customer of Honda for 26 years didnt seem to matter because the dealership nor Honda advised that an extended warranty was issued on these engines to 8 years or 125,000 miles from the original purchase date whichever came first. I purchased this vehicle on June 18, 2008 so the warranty expired a year ago on June 18, 2016. I telephoned American Honda (800) 999-1009 ext. 7 and was assigned a Case No. ** due to my dissatisfaction concerning these repairs and explained that the engine overhaul could have been prevented had Honda conducted an oil consumption test when the vehicle was in for service previously due to the engine light coming on/off. The technician provided me with the diagnostic trouble codes: P0300 and P0339 and informed me that the history on the vehicle did show that it had a history of oil consumption which was never conveyed to my daughter.Unfortunately, in conveying this to the case manager at American Honda; he was not only reluctant but refused to be understanding or sympathetic and stated that nothing could be done since the warranty expired and that he couldnt offer any resolution to remedy the problem, even knowing that I have been a loyal customer for years. He only asked what I expected him to do about it and ultimately, I was fully taken aback and expected any type of acknowledgement that Honda is at fault for allowing this to happen when they knew of the defect and could have prevented the problem sooner and should have at least offered to lower the labor rate of $148 or offered to reduce the bill since I was being penalized for the low mileage on the vehicle over the years. If there had been more miles on the vehicle sooner, the extended warranty would have covered the cost of the repairs and prevented this from happening. Now, I do not feel that I can trust the dealerships or Honda and plan to get rid of the vehicle and will never buy another Honda. As a business owner who recognizes the fundamental importance and value of great customer service was surprised that Honda does not share the same values or philosophy. So in the future, I will refrain from recommending anyone to buy a Honda as I have done so frequently over the years and will pursue being an advocate for consumer protection and awareness by educating everyone on this experience and suggest the importance of them conducting their own research on consumer reports to assure they are diligent in finding any potential issues. The cost of the repairs is not as shocking as the disregard for customer service and customer loyalty. Hopefully, Honda will recognize that each customer and experience is an important one whether good or bad. Being a business owner has allowed me to realize that all experiences may not be perfect but the best way to handle a situation when something goes wrong is to make it right because the rewards of doing so exceeds the negative impact when choose to do nothing.

Model Accord - System/Structure/Body/Trunk Lid. We have had our 2014 Honda Accord for just over one year. All of our family members have been hit in the head or back by the trunk. The trunk does not stay open on even a modest grade but does not fall down for several seconds, allowing people to lean into the trunk before it hits them. Injury to death more likely from the trunk lid. I have owned 10 cars and have never had one where the trunk lid will not remain up. 2014 Honda Accord problems and complaints, up-to-date recall information and reviews. This email regards a horrible customer service experience I have had with Honda. I have had a problem with my 2017 Hatch - the center console randomly begins a series of beeps (beep-beep-beep) and throws my iPhone, especially the navigation system, off of the system. I have video recorded the problem happening and taken it to my dealer and another dealer on 4 occasions. They cannot replicate the problem.I called Honda USA to seek additional help. My case was given to a case manager - LUIS - who argued with me, made me cry on every phone conversation, even angered my even-tempered husband. I am seeking help with this problem and all I got was verbal abuse. When I asked to speak to a manager or another agent, I was told by LUIS that I could only speak with him. This one experience - this one experience alone - has decided me that Honda is not the company for me. You seem not to care about a problem that I am sure with time will end up in some sort of recall situation - I simply cant imagine that my car is the only one having this problem. If your customer service is so uncaring and apathetic, then I simply cant be a part of this company.

I received a letter recently advising me of yet another recall for my Honda Jazz. I do not work and to have to pay out for petrol to get there and back to my local dealership and for a courtesy car is not possible. I called the local dealership to book an appointment for my car and was told I would either have to sit in their building whilst the work was done, pay out for a courtesy car or be dropped off and picked up from the local retail park.I am thoroughly ** Off with Honda and your customer service team. On the 25/01/16 I was told that you do not offer any sort of compensation or help to be able to leave my car with one of your dealerships for 2 and a half hours due to a recall. This is the third recall and you want me to pay out for your errors. My local dealership is out in the middle of nowhere and 5 miles plus from my home. The retail park is a small one and would not be enough to keep me occupied for two and a half hours, so that option is out. I cannot pay out for a courtesy car as I have advised. My only option now is to waste two and a half hours sat in the local dealership when I have other things to do.This is not good customer service or practice. You ought to have a facility to deal with the situations as they occur, not to have staff read out your policies and scripted replies. I also think that nobody should buy Honda as you obviously dont know how to make good cars as you would not need all of these recalls if you did. As you can see I am not happy with Honda and as things stand will be looking to never use Honda again. If this had been a one off it would be different but with so many recalls I feel you are now taking the michael as it were. I await your response.

Trash truck crossed center line and hit driver side door while traveling at 60 mph. Car spun around in front of the trash truck and was broadsided by the truck on the drivers side. Car continued to spin and rear-ended into guard rail dividing highway. Truck then ran over the left front corner of car. Car suffered $15,000 in damages and two sections of frame replaced. Wife was injured with whiplash in back and neck, aneurism on aorta, and seat belt pancreatitis and chest and neck seat belt burns. I was not injured. No air bags deployed in the vehicle. My insurance fixed the car instead of totaling it. The car suffered $10,000 in diminished value. I cant find a lawyer in WV to help me, cant find a lawyer to file suit against Honda for failure of air bags resulting in injury. Car was a 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid and was purchased on 1-9-11 and accident was on 3-24-11.

When I bought my 05 Honda Accord Hybrid, I was told the hybrid battery would last to 150,000 to 200,000 miles. At 81,000, just after the warranty expired, the check engine & IMA (hybrid battery) light came on. I paid $300 for a software upgrade at the time & was assured by Honda Customer Service that they would stand by their product. Over the next couple of years, the lights came on periodically and Ive had to pay for additional software upgrades. The last time it happened, the lights came on again less than 30 days later. Now Honda is saying the battery is bad and needs to be replaced, at my expense. I have called several dealers and gotten estimates ranging from $2,700 to $5,700 (for parts only). When I purchased this car, I was told the battery would cost $2,000 or less. Now Im stuck with a car that will not pass a state safety inspection without paying several thousand dollars for a replacement battery. On top of it, the car has NEVER gotten the mileage Honda claimed it would get. In fact, it gets WORSE mileage than my last Honda Accord.

Probably the worst I will ever own. It was a 2019 EX-L. Infotainment issues were horrible, very buggy system. Dealership (Brandon Honda) told me it was a known issue and they couldnt fix it. One of the managers told me it was a Honda problem and not theirs. Awesome. Doors never worked right, trapping people inside. Transmission hesitated and jerked like crazy. A very poorly engineered vehicle. I traded it in and got an Accord Sport 2.0T...Cant believe that the same company could do things so differently with their products.

My mechanic noted that there was something wrong with my CVT automatic transmission around 35K miles and recommended I take it into the dealer asap, which I did. After a number of visits and a lot of runaround, they rebuilt the transmission. At around 75K, it started showing signs of failure again, and unfortunately, this time I delayed until it had around 95K on it, thinking the extended 100,000 mile warranty on just this problem would cover it. No such luck, since it was 100K or 7 years, and as an early adopter buying the car in the fall of 2002, I was 1 or 2 months beyond the 7 yr limit. The dealer offered me no hope and backed that up by getting me rejection from the regional manager. Calls to American Honda fell on equally deaf ears. Car shakes - violently on hills - when starting from stop since faulty transmission basically has no start up gear. Probably used a plastic motorcycle part or something, who knows. Bottom line is, after driving this piece of junk that never got close to the advertised mileage, I regret ever buying a Honda and never will again. I know some, maybe most of their cars, are fine. Then again, I have friends with an Odyssey that had a similar problem with transmission failure 2x under 100K. Never again. Dont buy Honda, simply because they choose to not stand behind their products. Too bad - another corporation ruined by greed and short-sighted behavior. Im about ready to trade it in for $1,000 or whatever I can get and buy a new Ford Focus.

I had purchased a Honda City ZX (GXI) in July 2008 from Iciban (HONDA MH- 04 DN 7717). Needless to say, the reason I opted for Honda was the excellent quality, and the after sales service provided by Honda. However, I am afraid that the experience I have gained for the last one and half year has nothing to show whatever I had initially thought of.I have been having terrible engine noise problem, which was repeatedly reported to the service center in Pune (Crystal Honda) for the last one and half years. After inspection, they used to say that, there is no problem sir. Once I approached Honda 121, the problem was identified as engine problem, and that the engine as told to me is not good. Please, tell me what needs to be done here. I have been to suffering because of this problem.

I have called Honda customer service numerous times with regards to my airbag light permanently remaining on. I have verified with several mechanics, that apparently, this is a faulty seatbelt buckle that needs to be replaced. When I mentioned this to Honda, they advised me that they may be able to assist with something. They wont mention what that something is, and on the condition that I take my vehicle to a Honda dealership for confirmation. While I can appreciate the fact that Honda has to verify this, I dont believe I should have to pay over $100 just for a technician to verify what they already know to be an issue. This should actually be recalled by Honda. I have 3 colleagues that all own Hondas and we all have the same problem. When you contact Honda, asking if this is part of a recall, they deny it. What will it take for Honda to take ownership and replace these faulty buckles? Does someone need to die?

Ive owned Honda cars my whole life, and have had a 1994, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2013. Now I have a two 2018 Accord, they will be my last Hondas EVER!! Heres a list of my issues so far in my first 6 weeks/2226 miles on the car: 1. Paint defect on hood. 2. Paint defect on roof of car. 3. Paint defect on trunk of car. 4. Failed backup camera/console unit. Issues so far in my daughter’s Honda Accord first 8 months/12000 miles on the car: 1. Failed backup camera/console unit. 2. Weather stripping literally falling off driver’s front door. 3. Rattling noise that the dealership can’t hear when I take it in.The district manager is saying its the environment. Not true! I have not one but two 2018 Honda Accords and its only happening one. If it was the environment both of the vehicles would be messed up. My daughter’s Accord paint isn’t messed up and she has had it longer than I have had mine. I have another vehicle that I drive. I drive the SAME route everyday for the last year and I had the other car since 2017, it doesn’t have paint damage either. Something is wrong with the paint on the Honda Accord and I am very disappointed that Honda isnt owning up to it and fixing my vehicle. I have been driving Hondas since 1994. Besides the paint I am very pleased but unless Honda fixes my vehicle I will NEVER buy another Honda in my LIFETIME.

Here Maps provide updates to Honda & Acura Navigation system. They knowingly sell DVD map updates that may cause permanent damage the Honda and Acura navigation systems without offering a disclaimer. On June 7, 2017 I purchased the 2017 Honda White DVD to update the navigation system in my 2007 Honda Accord. I followed all instructions listed inside the case. At first the system appeared to be updating. A few minutes later, I received a read disc error on my navigation screen. I contacted customer service and was advised to removed the disk. I attempted to remove the disk but it would not eject. I took the car to the Honda dealership and they were also unable to get it to eject. The next day after the letting the car sit, I was able to eject the 2017 DVD. So I put the old one back in, press eject and it ejected fine. I put it back in so I can just leave the NAVI system the way it was. At first there was a message on the screen that read System now downloading. After a few minutes it went back to read disk error. So now the original disc can no longer be read. Although Here agree to refund me the $100 I paid for the DVD. Now Honda want to charge me $110 to do diagnostics to my system. I researched online and see where many other customers have the same issue and some have spent as much as $4000 resolving this issue. Here refers me to Honda and vice versa. I advised the last rep I spoke with at HERE that they should at least offer a disclaimer that states Beware this update may destroy your system. She agreed and said she will make that suggestion so future customers wont continue to experience this issue. Honda and Here are aware of the problem yet they continue to sell these DVD updates and customer is responsible for the damages associated with the update. This isnt fair and they should be held responsible for the money people spend to pay for the updates and the damages associated with the update. Can you please assist me this?

This is my 3rd Honda minivan and will be my last, since Honda doesnt want to stand behind their paint job on my van that is peeling in multiple areas. I was told by general manager at a Honda dealership to file a claim on it. I called, filed a claim. They gave me a case number. Had me take it to local Honda dealer to have it inspected. The case manager from Honda called me after about 2 weeks and told me the cost to repaint my whole van is $2,319.42 and I would have to pay $1700 of it since Im out of warranty he said. I told him I wasnt out of warranty. When I called the man told me I was still under warranty. This case manager wanted to argue with me saying what I was told was wrong.I just read an article on Consumer Reports that Honda extended their paint warranty to 7 years and unlimited mileage. My van was bought new 2014 and its only 4 years old with 95k miles. I even have a body shop who fixed my tailgate under the care plan I bought additionally but they said when they went to fix the tailgate from the peeling paint it was so bad the paint came off in strips and that paint didnt adhere to the primer if any primer was even put on it. But the van is also peeling now in additional areas and Honda thinks I should have to pay $1700.I told the caseworker if Honda had did the paint job the right way the first time I wouldnt be having this problem, I said I would be willing to split the cost to paint the whole van but will not pay most of it. This was last week. The case manager said he would relay my response and I havent heard back from them. I have had a total of 5 minivans: 3 Hondas, 1 Nissan Quest and 1 Chrysler Town and Country and this 2014 Honda van is the only one I have ever had paint peeling off of it.

I called back, they told me I would hear back by the end of the day, nothing again. I called the following day and was told Id hear back, nothing AGAIN. Another week goes by and I call AGAIN, and finally reach somebody who tells me that I made the choice to buy used and out of warranty so Im out of luck, despite the now compromised frame and body of my vehicle, and the structural damage that will occur (hello safety concern when the frame of my vehicle rusts to ** because of a defect Honda knows about but doesnt care to handle). This customer service experience has been HORRIBLE, and what makes it worse is the Honda KNOWS they produced and mass sold a vehicle with faulty paint, and its those of us who have to purchased used, not able to afford new, who have to incur the further financial hit to try to fix this issue. Just over one month I had this car, meticulously taken care of, mint condition, not owner neglect, but rather Honda neglect, and this multimillion-dollar company refuses to fix the problem they created. Good one.

My mom drives a 2007 Honda CR-V. Honda issued a recall for the drivers side
My mom drives a 2007 Honda CR-V. Honda issued a recall for the drivers side airbag in early 2016 and, unable to replace the airbag, parked the car behind the dealer and issued her a loaner in February and March of 2016. After 2 months sitting at Honda, they brought her car home so it would be inside a garage while waiting for the airbag replacement. During this time, she had the house on the market so she could move closer to my sister and I as my father passed away. We were concerned that the car would not be available for the 700 mile move all along and expressed this to the dealer who told her she could drive the car all over the country, contrary to what we were hearing in the media and from the Honda itself about the Takata airbag dangers. The house sold and we immediately informed Honda (the dealer and customer support) that we would need a car to move to Illinois. I told Tanya at Honda Customer Support we would have to rent a similar vehicle to pack and make the move if Honda could not replace the airbag in the CR-V. After speaking with Tanya many times, I was told that that we would be fully reimbursed by Honda for the expenses related to the airbag replacement and that there was no daily reimbursement limit. We rented the closest size SUV available (Pathfinder) and packed it for the move. Three days before the move Honda called and said they would be able to replace the airbag a day before the move.I had to unpack the rental car, drive an hour to return it and take a cab back to Honda to pick up the car. We submitted the expense report for $1,292.54 for the rental, gas and cab to Honda. After multiple calls, a reimbursement check for $162.11 arrived, wrong address and wrong payee. It has not been cashed. Honda will not put Tanya on the phone and says now the limit is $32.00 a day. I have made it clear to them that I had asked her multiple times about a reimbursement limit before renting the replacement vehicle and that Tanya said no limit. Honda has blatantly lied and my 79 year old mom is out $1,292.54. I have spent months dealing with this issue. Since I asked Honda more than once about reimbursement rates before renting a replacement vehicle, my mom deserves every penny she spent on this debacle and an apology from American Honda.

I really love Honda but from now on I will not buy this brand anymore after they denied my complaint about the rusted I have on my two years old car with only 20000 miles in it. I have to fix it at the body shop with my own cost. The Honda technician blame on the accident reported that may cause the paint scraped off. But accident report did not really tell what kind of accident. So I took the car to body shop and they told me the problem start at the door seal have a hole right at the rust is. It cost me only $150 to fix the problems. Honda technician smart enough get my tiny problem fix instead denied it. You guys losing one customer and this message will passing on to other.

The steering in the Honda Accord 2012 with alloy wheels is extremely hard and very, very uncomfortable to use. I made a complaint to the dealer, and they said the steering hardness is because of the alloy wheels. And I tried changing the alloy wheels to normal wheels, and to my surprise, the hardness is still the same. It does look like I will get a solution for the problem, unless the matter is escalated to the Honda Motors corporation. I did not expect this sort of steering from a company with such high reputation. This has greatly reduced my impression about the quality of Honda cars.

There has been a recall on the Honda Insight. I had my car repaired before the recall happened. They have offered to reimburse after the recall happened. I sent in all the forms needed to make this happen. I have spoken to Luis at customer service many times. They are now asking for the receipts of the actual parts bought by the garage that fixed my car. That garage is asking for a $75 fee to do this. Honda does not want to pay it. I do not want to spend any more money on this. The repairs are a good $500 less than what Honda quoted to fix it. I feel they are doing this to drag it out. In hopes that I will not pursue the refund. I am disappointed that I have been given the runaround. This is a defect on the car which I had fixed for less than what they would have paid. They should pay the $75 fee to get receipts.

Having owned seven Camrys, I chose the HR-V for its size and parking ability. With one glaring exception, the HR-V is everything and more than I expected. It rides well, is comfortable (I added good sheep-skin seat covers) and gets good mileage. Everything is accessible and well thought-out EXCEPT the horns. The horns are weak and sound like a childs toy with its tinny Beep, Beep. To replace them you must remove the front bumper/grill and bolt on new ones. Not cheap.

Certified used warranty is a scam. Honda sold me a certified used vehicle under their program that guarantees a 151-point inspection. Right out of the dealership, the car had a burnt accessory fuse, missing tire change tools, and garbage in the spare tire well under the trunk. This leads me to believe they did not check all the fuses and they did not check to see if a spare tire was even included with the vehicle, let alone properly inflated. They did not offer compensation for failing to check these points in their original inspection and they did not agree to perform another 151-point inspection at my request. It is now 14 months after I purchased the vehicle and only about 8,000-9,000 miles on the car from since we bought it. The power steering pump had a major failure; repair is quoted at $740.01. They refuse to repair the vehicle at no cost since non-powertrain warranty only covers 12-months/12,000 miles. I would typically accept this response, but I feel as if the car was never fully inspected like they advertised. A power steering pump should not have a major failure after 8,000-9,000 miles. I should not have this much difficulty explaining my frustration to Honda, a company that prides itself on reliable cars and helpful people, especially with such low mileage on the vehicle.

Unfair denial of warranty for my 2010 Honda Rancher with VIN ** purchased on 10/22/2011.On 7/16/2011, the transmission locked up, less than nine months after purchase. I took it to Donelson Cycles in St. Ann, MO to be repaired since it was still under warranty. I was told by the service manager that their Honda representative denied any warranty assistance. I then called Honda Customer Support and was told they would investigate further and get back with me within a couple days.On 7/27/2011, I received a call from Honda Customer Support and was told Honda Warranty assistance was denied because I used an aftermarket oil filter.Being a loyal Honda consumer for many years, I was very disappointed and surprised at their decision to deny any repair assistance. I consulted with an attorney and he suggested I try and resolve this issue prior to retaining his service to move forward with legal action.I would be satisfied if Honda honored their warranty or at least offered reasonable assistance.

I bought a new 2009 Honda Accord EX. After a few days, I realized that the drivers seat was very uncomfortable. It can be adjusted in three different ways, so I assumed I just didnt have it adjusted properly. Over the next three weeks or so, I adjusted it in every possible way, but it remained uncomfortable. I contacted the dealer. And they offered to help me buy a good used car (Thanks a lot!). I called North American Honda and they didnt care. And finally, I wrote Tokyo, but they just bounced the problem back to North American Honda. Finally, I got a call from some woman at North American Honda. She had all her talking points down pat. She told me that I should have known that the seats were uncomfortable before I bought it. I asked her how I should know that from a short test drive. She said I just should know. She told me that most people were satisfied with Honda seats. I asked her what Honda had to offer to those of us who werent most people. She had no answer. I also asked her how many complaints Honda had received about their seats. She quickly responded that that was confidential. I told her I could understand why. Her basic attitude was that Honda already had my money, so they didnt give a damn about my problem. I looked for after-market seats, but there werent any because of the air bags in the seat. Its illegal to disconnect air bags. And nobody made after-market seats with air bags. I had the foam in the seat replaced twice, but that didnt help. The car was so miserably uncomfortable that I traded it off after three months and 1700 miles.
