I am highly disappointed in the service I’ve received from Honda Customer Service. I leased a 2017 Honda Accord Sport and have had nothing but issues from day 1. The dealership has done an exceptional job trying to resolve the issues, where Honda Customer Service lacks the ability to serve their customers and document cases open accurately. I’ve had issues from the gas tank release being broken in the first week to a constant wind noise coming from the driver side window or door seal. In addition, I had to take my car in once again for a heavy vibration when breaking. I’ve made several trips to get these things resolved and Honda Customer Service has a very unsatisfied customer on their hands. I will definitely reconsider going with Honda in the future and I have two of them. Hopefully Honda executives realize the lack of quality support with their Customer service group.

I have a 2004 Honda Accord that I bought brand-new. I have always had all routine maintenance completed at a Honda dealership. I had the timing belt replaced ($1,000) within the 7-year time period, hoping to avoid any serious damage if it ever broke. Right after that, I had to replace the power steering pump ($500), because it went bad at 70,000 miles. Now at 83,000 miles, my transmission has gone out; and I am having to spend $4,000 to have that replaced. I have always taken very good care of this car. I bought it, because of Hondas reputation and hoped it would last me a long time before any major repairs were needed. I have read about numerous complaints and recalls for the transmission, so this leads me to believe Honda isnt what I once thought it was. I will not buy another one, even though I love my car. Its not worth what I have had to spend.

I purchased this 2016 Honda pilot certified has powertrain warranty till 2021or 100k. My wife and 3 kids broke down in Canada Sudbury Ontario. I am from Michigan, the vehicle was broken in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal. Thanks god the kids and wife were safe after all, but the very bad experience starts. Towed it to Palladino Honda dealer in Sudbury. Took them 1 week to say that we need a new engine but I can not repair it because it is an American vehicle. I called honda, honda care, my honda dealer. They did not help with anything. After 4 weeks I had to tow my car from them to Southfield Tamaroff honda to get the car repair. Eventually they repaired the car with replicating just the short block of the engine even the rod bearing was broken and metal shaving was all over the engine (car was not washed, no loaner offered, no alignment, bottom screws and push pins missing). Not understanding why they did not change complete engine. It cost me over $2200 to tow it back here and rent the car for my wife, not mentioned all the headache calling every day the honda dealer in Canada and honda customer service where nobody helped even the car was certified and had an extended warranty through honda care. All I wanted is to get refund for the expenses, but no one want to step out and do it (sorry and sorry we understand all these ** answers). Very bad experience, I will never buy a honda again even though I trusted the engineering before no anymore, stay away from honda….

The Honda Acura is ergonomically superior to other vehicles I have owned. It is very user friendly in its location of buttons for cruise control, lights, and dashboard. Comfy and roomy seats. I bought my 02 Accord brand new, and now have 174K on the clock. Ive replaced the transmission 3 times, and finally found a shop here in San Francisco that built it correctly. They told me that Honda transmissions are unlike any other standard transmission design and they fail often. Theres too much pressure kept in the torque converter, and not enough return fluid for the unit to function correctly. There are several aftermarket fixes, of course, that you have to pay for. When I picked my car up at the shop, there were 3 Accords, 3 Odysseys and 2 MDXs. I called American Honda to ask for some sort of help seeing as this is my 3rd time around the pony show - nothing. Shame on Honda for being so stupid in their design. Im not going back for more.

My mechanic noted that there was something wrong with my CVT automatic transmission around 35K miles and recommended I take it into the dealer asap, which I did. After a number of visits and a lot of runaround, they rebuilt the transmission. At around 75K, it started showing signs of failure again, and unfortunately, this time I delayed until it had around 95K on it, thinking the extended 100,000 mile warranty on just this problem would cover it. No such luck, since it was 100K or 7 years, and as an early adopter buying the car in the fall of 2002, I was 1 or 2 months beyond the 7 yr limit. The dealer offered me no hope and backed that up by getting me rejection from the regional manager. Calls to American Honda fell on equally deaf ears. Car shakes - violently on hills - when starting from stop since faulty transmission basically has no start up gear. Probably used a plastic motorcycle part or something, who knows. Bottom line is, after driving this piece of junk that never got close to the advertised mileage, I regret ever buying a Honda and never will again. I know some, maybe most of their cars, are fine. Then again, I have friends with an Odyssey that had a similar problem with transmission failure 2x under 100K. Never again. Dont buy Honda, simply because they choose to not stand behind their products. Too bad - another corporation ruined by greed and short-sighted behavior. Im about ready to trade it in for $1,000 or whatever I can get and buy a new Ford Focus.

Leather seats worn out. I purchased a new 2008 Accord Exl. Then after 5000 miles the seats started to wear. Brought this up at the Honda dealer and was told it is normal. At 15k miles the driver seat got so bad. I mentioned it to the dealer and I was told there’s nothing they can do. At 40k miles and I am in a process of replacing the driver seat or get rid of car. My recent experience with Honda has been beyond disappointing. I have never owned a Honda before, but I had heard good things about their reliability and that Honda was a reputable company that stood behind their product. Sadly, I have found none of this to be true. I will never purchase another Honda, and I have advised my friends and family to avoid making a purchase they will regret. I have also filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs. On July 20, during the hottest stretch of weather we have had in Vermont in a long time, my air conditioner quit. I looked it up on the internet to see if there was a quick fix. I was hoping maybe it was a fuse or something simple and I was surprised to find report after report and complaint after complaint about the air conditioner compressors quitting in the Honda CR-Vs. I went to a local garage, where they verified it was indeed the air conditioner compressor.Since my mileage was beyond the warranty, but the car is only a 2008, I called Honda to see if they could offer any assistance with replacing this very expensive part and was advised that I needed to have a dealer diagnose the issue. After making a 45-minute trip to a dealer for a 5-minute appointment, to verify the problem as Honda asked me to do. I again called to see if I could receive some assistance, anything, I was just hoping theyd pay half of it, just something to help me out and make a goodwill gesture. I spoke to a woman who was extraordinarily unhelpful and unsympathetic. She just kept repeating it was beyond warranty. I fully understand what a warranty is, and I explained to her that if it were under warranty I would have just taken it to a dealer in the first place and had it fixed! If my car were the only one with this problem, I would have accepted it as my bad luck and gone on my merry way. However, my research has shown that this has happened to many Honda owners and the part appears to be defective! The right thing for Honda to do would be to accept some of the responsibility for this defective part and offer owners some sort of assistance in making the repair. It makes me terribly sad that your company has chosen to not do the right thing. While trying to scrape up the money to have my air conditioner fixed, I had to borrow a friends car (a very reliable, older model Subaru with a working air conditioner), in order to take my 90-year-old father to the doctor because he is unable to tolerate the heat due to his age and his health. I was embarrassed to tell him that my 3-year-old car had such an expensive issue already. If it werent for the necessity of having air conditioning to drive my elderly parents around safely, I wouldnt even have had it fixed. In Vermont, we dont use air conditioning very often, which adds to the evidence that there is something wrong with this part as it couldnt possibly be overused in three short years. Especially in a state with such a short summer.I have enclosed a copy of the bill for my repair in the hope that your company will reconsider and take this opportunity to do the right thing and reimburse me for a repair that I should never have had to make. Sincerely,A very disappointed first and last time Honda owner

This past week, my car, for the second time within a year, had to go back to the shop for maintenance and repairs due to water leaking into the gas tank. I bought this car (2012 Civic Sedan LX) on February 4, 2012. I only have a little over 5,000 miles on it because I mostly only use it to commute to work during the weekdays. One of the reasons I bought a Honda car instead of any other was because of its high standard and reputation. Ive heard that Honda cars dont break down easily and almost never give the owner any trouble. On September 2, 2012, I was in my car with my boyfriend and his friend to go get some lunch. After going about 5 blocks or so, he suddenly remembered that he forgot something at home, so I had to make a U-turn and go back home. On the way back, the car slowly puttered to a stop. Naturally, I thought it was because I was out of gas or something, but when I looked at the gas meter, it was more than half full. I started up the car again, and although the engine turned on, the car was shaking by itself ... until it again sputtered to a halt. I tried starting the engine a few more times but after a few more tries, it was futile. Luckily, at that time, there werent too many cars around and there was miraculously a parking space nearby, so the two guys managed to push the car safely into that spot. I called my insurance company (Geico) and they towed my car two days later and took it back to the dealer. After they inspected the car, they found that water had gotten into the gas tank. They suspected that it was from a bad gas station who pumped water along with their gas. Ive been going to the same place near my house ever since I bought this car, and nothing like this ever happened before. My family, friends and co-workers all blamed Honda for a manufacturer defect, but even though I felt bad about this case, I didnt blame Honda at all and, in fact, finished off paying off the car this past January 8th, 11 months after I bought the car, and much earlier than the initial 3-year plan I signed up for. The total cost for repairs came out to $1632.34, but even though Geico covered $1085.23 of it, I still had to pay $547.11 out of my own pocket for an accident I didnt even take part in.Then again, on January 14, I turned on the car to go to work, just like any other day, and the car shook in the familiar manner of last October, before it stopped. I got the car towed and taken back to the dealer. Surprise, surprise, they said that there was water in the gas tank. What Id like to know is how so much water could possibly get into the tank to make the car want to stop. I realized that the night before this happened, it rained a lot in my neighborhood, but surely, it couldnt have all gotten into my car. One of the repairmen suspected that someone poured water into the gas tank on purpose. Only I have the key to my car. Why would I want to do something as stupid as pouring water into my car, not once, but twice, and have to go through all this trouble and waste a ton of money? It also couldnt have been an outside job, because by the hole where you put the gas nozzle, theres no scratch mark or any visible proof that someone tried to break in to do something bad on purpose.Because of this, not only was I late to work, but so was my sister who works in the same office I do. She was with me in the car at that time and is still suffering from being scared due to the cars convulsions. In both cases, luckily, the car stopped near my house, or rather, in a vicinity without too many cars. God knows what could have happened if the car chose to stop on the highway. The technician who looked at my car was dumbfounded as to how something like this could happen, not once, but twice. I suspect that this second time was due to bad workmanship last time by someone who was working on my car and left a hole for water to drip and accumulate. There is no other explanation.I bought the newest model of this Honda car because I wanted the best of the best. If I didnt care too much about having to take care of my car breaking down every so often, I would have bought a used car at a much more affordable price. Because of these incidents, my insurance fee went up from $1,936.42 to $1,981.85, but more than that, now I have a phobia about driving, because I dont know when or where my car might stop. Its not even a year old and Ive kept it in good condition. There is no reason for this. The first time this happened in January, I had to take the bus from my home in Flushing back and forth to work (in the Bronx) every day for about two weeks since my car was in the shop getting repaired, and now it looks like I need to do that again. The top reason for buying the car in the first place was to help me commute to work, but if it cannot fulfill that purpose, its pretty much of no use to me. I dont wish to waste any more money paying for stuff like this.

I bought a second hand car from Honda in May last year (2017). This would be my first ever time buying a car. Everything went fine within the sales and I loved this car, which was a Holden Cruze 2014. I didnt have enough money saved and I did not have my apprenticeship long to afford it so I opted for the finance and was told everything about finance through my sales rep. The finance seemed good my circumstance and I went through with it. The finance women I spoke to was Ellie **. I stated my terms to her about the whole thing. She told me it would be a 5 year contract with 1 year fixed. After the 1 year fixed was up I could pay it all out with no interest or added fees. It seemed perfect for me and she went through it a couple of times to me. I felt it was perfect and she was in my corner for the finance.Something seemed fishy after I noticed I had no car user manual in the car. I called them up a lot and even visited. I never got any word back on the whereabouts of my car manual. Not until Monday (25th March, 2018). I called up again and spoke to a Michael. He followed everything up and ended up ordering me a new book. I then called up my finance, Skyline Car Finance about how much was owing and when my 1 year fixed would end. Thats where it went bad because they told me it was a 5 year fixed contract and that I would need to follow up with my dealership. I contacted Ellie who told me there was no such thing as a 1 year and that I would save on interest and theres an early exit fee. I went in today on a Saturday (31st March, 2018). I collected my book and talked to Ellie. She told me that it was a 5 year fixed from the start and that I misinterpreted it and that I should read my contract. I feel as if I have been sucked into a contract I would never have signed if I knew this. She also told me that heaps of people come in with the same reason I have. So the real question is, how many people is ripping off?

I received this notice from Honda with this warning on my 2009 Accord V6. They said the parts will be available in late Summer/Fall 2016. They have an advisory to avoid having a passenger sit in the front passengers seat until the recall repair has been performed. However, they make no mention of the drivers side airbag. I am sure the warning applies to both but they dont mention that. One, they should be honest about driving the car until it is repaired and two, they should also do it as soon as possible, and three, make arrangements for the owners to have a safe car to drive until it can be repaired.

When I was younger, I always dreamed of getting a Honda. I loved these cars. So as soon as I was able to get one, I did. So sorry I did. I have fixed my car radio a couple of times and it cost about $400. It’s not cheap with raising 4 kids! I googled it and it seems to be an ongoing problem. I called 1-800-999-1009 and no one wanted to help me. So, I told them about the radio draining my battery and dying, leaving me and my kids stranded on the side of the road and no one seemed to care. Obviously, this is not the first they have heard of this problem because it’s all over the net. This is my first and last Honda. I was trying to convince my boyfriend to get one. Now, I am convincing him not to. Now in the midst of me having temporary home due to hurricane Sandy and just lost my job, I have a car that continues to die in the freezing cold. I will never get another Honda. I will let my friends and family know of this issue and also tell them if you have a problem, Honda will not help so it’s better to go with a Nissan or Toyota. My mom has been buying Nissan for about 20 years and they have really good customer service. Boo to you Honda.

Wife purchased a 2019 Ridgeline. At 89 miles vehicle would not start and was towed to Honda. Since then the vehicle has 1200 miles and has broken down 4 times. 3 times it was towed for not starting and the only reason it wasnt towed a fourth time was that it literally broke down at the dealership after they had it for two days diagnosing why it would not start. Literally did not drive 100 feet and the transmission stopped working. Talked with customer service a few times so far. INFURIATING!! On my first call I was informed rather quickly I would NOT be getting my money back or a new truck. When asked what they were going to do for me... wait for it... they said They would call them and tell them to fix it right!!! AWESOME!!! In subsequent conversations all customer service regurgitates is warranty and repair talking points. At NO time will they discuss the consistent breakdowns as a problem nor will they let me speak to anyone above them. They disconnected me yesterday as I refuse to sit and listen to someone rattle off the business talking points. I would think any reasonable person would expect their new vehicle to not break down 4 times in the first 1200 miles. Seems Honda doesnt mind how many times it happens. Because remember... they will call and have them fix it right. NEVER AGAIN!!

I am driving a HONDA MOBILIO Car in INDIA which was bought by me on 2015. On 16/11/2015 in Chennai we had heavy rain and we drove this car to court as an emergency case. But all of a sudden the car engine has stopped by itself without any reasons. Then we towed our car to the dealer in Chennai for an inspection. The service engineer told us that the rain water has entered in Engine. We all surprised to hear that. Is it possible? And we had a doubt that these HONDA cars are not suitable for rainy seasons. IF the water gets into an engine it is purely manufacturing defect. But the dealers is looking for an insurance person to change some spares. No one has intended to file a complaint in HONDA. We are not ready to accept this car by changing some spares. It will affect the home setting of the car. My question is this. Will HONDA replace our entire car if it a manufacturing defect? We have noticed that about ten cars are in dealers garage. We have discussed with HONDA dealer for the replacement. But no response from them. We wish HONDA manufacturer should intervene with dealer to replace the entire car. In other words HONDA should declare our cars are not suitable for rainy conditions. Such a surprise from the dealers. They are not ready to escalate this issue to manufacturer. They are looking for an insurance people to cover the cost. We need response from HONDA manufacturer to solve this issue.

I have been back and forth to the Honda dealership and have explained to the salesman, auto mechanic multiple times that since the purchase of my Honda which was new at the time the air meter icon kept appearing. The representative kept saying well bring it back well put air in it. Not until after a nail got in that same tire was it discovered the rim had a crack. People whod been in the car kept asking why does this new car wheels make that sound. Well now I know and the Dealership does not stand by anything except selling a vehicle. Help!

My 2004 Honda Civic EX Sedan was a great car all in all until just a few days ago when I was sitting at a stop light at almost rush hour in a busy metro area with my foot on the break. Suddenly the car went into an uncontrolled, unintended acceleration. I could hear the engine rev and I just froze with horror. A few seconds later it crashed into the car in front of me and stopped and turned off. I was extremely lucky that 1) that car was there or I would have gone into a busy intersection and 2) my daughter was not in the car. The driver I crashed into and the valet guys from the hotel across the street saw I was extremely shaken up but alert and in my right mind. The mechanics can fix the damage caused by the impact but since this is such a rare problem, they probably wont be able to identify what went wrong or prevent it from happening again so Ill have to trash the car. Given that several people had to die for Toyota to take any responsibility for their problems with unintended acceleration and that there have been several complaints to Honda of cars with this problem with no recompense, I am extremely unhappy to hear the existing complaints have not led to a recall or that almost certainly my complaint will be completely ignored.

I had to replace the brakes at 20555 miles, again at 35936 and then again at 53150. Honda accepts no responsibility for this problem. They insult my intelligence by blaming me for the premature wear. I have paid out over $600 on brakes so far. The oil pressure switch went out to at a little over 53000 miles, another $300. Battery also died after 2 years (replaced by warranty). The car has not been very dependable and is expensive to maintain. I want to sue them for the brake problems that they refuse to acknowledge!

We purchased a certified used 2012 Honda Accord Sedan in March 2014. We are now attempting to private sell, trade in the vehicle that we purchased and cant give it away. We are being offered no more than $7k for a car worth 13-14k. Come to find out we were only given half the story. The car was not involved in a minor crash prior to our purchase, it was involved in a total of 2 collisions with moderate damage and air bag deployment. Further research and appraisal recently reveals frame/structural damage throughout and nobody wants it. The deceptive business practices used by Honda of Burleson Texas are repulsive. The car is great, runs good, has no mechanical flaws etc. but we will never be able to part ways with it.

Certified used warranty is a scam. Honda sold me a certified used vehicle under their program that guarantees a 151-point inspection. Right out of the dealership, the car had a burnt accessory fuse, missing tire change tools, and garbage in the spare tire well under the trunk. This leads me to believe they did not check all the fuses and they did not check to see if a spare tire was even included with the vehicle, let alone properly inflated. They did not offer compensation for failing to check these points in their original inspection and they did not agree to perform another 151-point inspection at my request. It is now 14 months after I purchased the vehicle and only about 8,000-9,000 miles on the car from since we bought it. The power steering pump had a major failure; repair is quoted at $740.01. They refuse to repair the vehicle at no cost since non-powertrain warranty only covers 12-months/12,000 miles. I would typically accept this response, but I feel as if the car was never fully inspected like they advertised. A power steering pump should not have a major failure after 8,000-9,000 miles. I should not have this much difficulty explaining my frustration to Honda, a company that prides itself on reliable cars and helpful people, especially with such low mileage on the vehicle.

June 2015 the paint on my 2007 Honda Civic started corroding. The extended warranty due to problems was 7 1/2 years. I missed it by 6 months. They would only split 50/50 for the sections showing corrosion. Their price for 4 sections was the same as Maaco for whole car, new bumper and dents fixed. I have owned Hondas for about 20 years. Their build quality is not the quality of the 1980s/early 1990s. In the mid 90s, Honda went to OEM suppliers. That was the end of the high quality Hondas. If you are having issues or making a decision on buying, here are the problems that you will fix over and over: Starting issues. This is the biggest problem. These cars have a cold start issue. There is a temp sensor and main relay that just break over and over. No lights will go on the dash and no codes will come up to warn you they are bad. You have to have the spark plugs pulled to see if they are getting black residue on them. This can happen on new plugs. Why? The temp sensor adds fuel when it is cold and cuts back on fuel when hot. It works in reverse when it starts to fail (no way to detect). This will coat your engine and emission system with fuel crud that hasnt burnt. There is no way Honda doesnt know about the problem. You can search models from the 1990s to present day that have this issue. You can keep on top of it but the problem keeps returning.Paint. It will fail. It kills resale value. This has been going on since the 1990s. Detail shops will not wax the cars because the paint is so thin that a buffer will take it right off. Even hand waxing marks the paint. Headlights will cloud over. Over and over again. Door handles break. That is an expensive repair. Headliner will fall down. There is no way to re-attach it. They develop a leak in the cowl. This will rot out your floors. Oxygen sensor fails over and over. Radiator is plastic and glued together. It will fail in the 50 thousand range after the warranty is over. Then about every 50 thousand miles after that. There are several Honda Civics in the town I live in with the same make and paint color. All have the same problems with paint, headlights and door handles. The paint fails in the same spots. No recall from Honda. If you thinking of buying a used Honda for your childs first car, avoid them. These are not the cars for beginners. They will end up being towed. Contact Honda America? They do not respond. They do not care. They will care the next time I purchase a new car as it will not be a Honda. I was loyal, they think nothing of loyalty. I have people that own Hondas coming up to me to tell the problems they have had with their cars. Most of the people have pretty new Hondas. This makes me think that the build quality has gotten even worse in the last couple of years. Honda is no longer worth the extra money they charge.

I am writing this to express my disappointment in a recent encounter with Honda Canada. My family has been dedicated to the Honda brand for over 30 years. My grandparents have purchased Honda their entire lives and their love for the brand was passed on to my parents, and now, my sister and me. When I was 23 years old, my father gifted me his 2001 Honda Accord, which has almost 400,000 km on it and is still going strong. Unfortunately, I was forced to sell my beloved accord when I moved across the country (with 400,000 km on it, I felt uneasy about driving the vehicle cross-country). When I returned to Nova Scotia, I once again demonstrated my loyalty to Honda and purchased a 2006 Civic. In late 2016, I received a recall notice for the passenger side airbag. I was familiar with this recall because I had received the same notice for my accord, which I immediately had fixed at a Honda dealership in Alberta.About two weeks ago, I was driving to work at 5:00am when my car overheated and began smoking. I was forced to pull over on the side of the highway and wait for CAA. That is not the issue, as I understand that it is normal for older vehicles to run into problems. I had the vehicle towed to a local repair shop, where they confirmed that there was a crack in my engine block. Unbeknownst to me, the issue was a nationwide recall. Although I had received the recall notice for the airbag, I was never made aware of the engine block recall. I found out about the recall at 5:30am, on the side of the highway, from my tow truck driver. Due to the recall ending on December 31, 2016, Honda was not willing to replace the engine block free of charge. My family and I reached out to Honda Canada to express the fact that we were never made aware of the recall. Had I known there was a recall, I would have gotten my vehicle fixed immediately. As a now 26-year-old woman, I work very hard to pay for school, insurance, rent and much more. The fact that my car is no longer functioning is truly devastating. After expressing our concerns to Honda, we were told that a representative would get back to us within a week and let us know if there was anything Honda would do for us since we had not been made aware of the recall. Almost two weeks later, Honda Canada got back to us stating that they would pay for the engine block, however I would need to pay $1,500 for labour. Not only is this unaffordable for a full-time student, but it is disappointing that an error made on Hondas behalf would cause me to pay $1,500.I am now without a car and refuse to pay $1,500 in labour to a company that does not stand behind their product. It is truly sad that Honda is losing a family of committed buyers (for over 30 years), due to this incident. I am now looking for a new vehicle, but want to make it very clear that my family and I will not be purchasing another Honda in the future. I hope that $1,500 is worth the loss of a truly committed family of (former) Honda lovers.

I HAVE BOUGHT 5 HONDAS IN 6 YEARS. All were no trouble until this 2017 CRV would not start on May 16, 2019 in my garage. Battery dead. I was given two options, have it towed or jump it & bring it in. I charged it up a bit and drove it in to the dealer. They checked battery on a gizmo and said it was OK. I advised them I had checked the battery also and found one dry cell that was burned looking and three cells that were milky. My 40 years experience as a certified Auto mechanic meant nothing to these zomby robots. Took car home and was dead again. I went out and bought a battery so the wife could use the car. Whole day lost, 165$ gone and was advise they could not do anything for me. Called Honda customer care, same garbage. One excuse after the other not to cover the issue. I advised the Dealer that if the mechanic did not have a hydrometer and only uses the gadget to check batteries then they need a mechanic that will invest in a hydrometer. Honda will no longer have our yearly purchase to look forward to as my money is good other places. Honda is now a forbidden word in our home.

I booked and prepaid to have my windshield replaced by Honda in Concord. I paid on May 15th, prior to going to SFO to catch a flight. I was informed by the representative at Honda, that the glass people would need payment up front, and then book a date and time and the glass people will come to Honda and install. Well, here I am, Tuesday, May 28th, been here since prior to 8.30 a.m. My appointment was at nine. First of all, I was told they had no record of our payment for the windshield, which was paid on the 15th. I told them I have the record on my credit card. They said they still dont have record, they then located it after taking my car and finding the receipt in the center console.Anyway, here I am sitting at Honda, Concord, CA, 1.38 p.m., the service person came over approx. 1 hour ago, saying the car had GONE to the window place, and it will take almost all day. Okay, what happened to the window people coming here?!? Also, I have sat here for over 4 hours, unable to go to the bathroom, in case they happened to say it was ready. Also, we paid a large amount of money for a warranty, every time we come in, they cant find it on the computer, and they charge us!! Why dont they ask the financial department, as they have got it from there once before after a fuss from my husband. Now, my husband called, asking to speak to the General Manager of Honda Concord, and was told he wasnt allowed to speak to him. Was he asked to leave a message for the General Manager? No!!! He was told to leave a message for the Service Manager, who is apparently in a meeting and will call my husband back. Lets see how long that takes....

I have a new 2016 Civic and it is a great car. It is my fourth Civic, but there are a couple of things that I do not like about it. It does not have a CD player in it. I do not like any of the stations on the radio and I do not like the music of today. I loved listening to my music from the 50s, 60s and some of the 70s, but now I cannot do that because you opted not to put CD players in your new cars. I am not a person that has a Ipod, so that is not an option to listen to. I was very disappointed when I found out about this feature. The trunk door lock on the drivers door is an annoyance. I cannot reach the door handle to close the door when I get in so I have to grab on to the pocket where the button for the trunk button is and 9 out of 10 times I hit it and have to get out of the car to close the trunk. Why didnt you leave it where it was on the 2013 Civics??? Whoever makes these changes should think of the Seniors that purchase these vehicles and leave some things alone. Other than those two features that I just explained, the car is great and I do love it. Thank you for listening.

The cost to repair this runs about $5,000 in upstate NY, an extended paint warranty was given that expired in 2016 (VERY sneaky Honda). Also the starter motors are garbage, expect to replace once every 2 years or so (another $800 after labor and parts every time). I called the service department three times to speak with the man who oversaw my service, he didnt answer. So I made a u-turn and returned the vehicle. He did a test drive and came up with new terms to explain why its pulling and blamed it on the road. Three different men drove the car three different times on the main road including the technician and claimed nothing is wrong with the car. They refused to service it or even take a look at it. I told them not to drive out my gas and my mileage. They still took the car anyways and drove it around. The manager asked at first I said no then yes. He also did everything to try and keep the car on the road but still refused to service it or replace the gas in my car. Within 24 hours of the purchase I regretted this decision because the car was not of equal quality to the car I had drove in there. The general manager called me to tell me she would not give me my original car back. Again it had not even been 24 hours and I had been calling all morning trying to reach someone in management but they were all in meetings. I just wanted my car back and they refused! Not only was this emotionally damaging but the general manager said she could tell I was upset because I was crying and she said I can tell youre upset so I will let you go after telling me I couldnt have my car back and me begging to get it back. I have always supported Honda and am very devastated that this is how they do business! I would not recommended them to anyone! How could you do that to someone? Honda fuel door: 2017 Honda Ridgeline. There is an outside door with weatherstripping, however, dust can get between the door and the capless filler opening and then on into the hose leading to the cannister. There is a flap at the end of the hose going to the tank, and there is another flap inside at the top of the hose. Between the two flaps, there is a small hole at the bottom of the filler neck, approximately 1/4 by 3/8. Dust can get between these two flaps and be sucked into the hose leading to the canister, eventually plugging it and setting the error code. This is a design error for a pickup which is advertised for use on dirt, mud, and snow. Though there is weatherstripping on the outside door, there are two small drainage holes inside the door. These two holes empty just ahead of the rear wheel. Dust can enter either through the outside door seal or through the drainage holes. At the least, there should not have been a hole between the two flaps without some type of filter, allowing dust to collect just in front of the second flap and be sucked into the cannister. Though one could clean the outside flap before filling the tank, that is not possible between the two flaps, and while driving dust can be sucked into the line going to the canister. I think Honda should pay to have the line cleaned and the canister changed if necessary.History: At about 18,000 miles the check engine light came on, emissions problem. I took the pickup to Mistlin Honda in Modesto, CA, on November 13, 2018. Their report was that the car was dirty underneath, reset the computer and told me it would not happen again. The check engine light came on again at about 23,000 miles. I took the pickup in again on May 28, 2019. That time I was told there was dust in the system and it was not covered under warranty.I called Honda at 1-800-999-1009 and spoke with a rep who assigned the call to case #** and was referred to Lovette, same number, Ext **. She called me back on August 1st and after I explained the issue to her, told me to call Dennis **, Service Manager at Mistlin Honda, 549-5000, Ext **. She said he would be able to agree that the problem should be covered under warranty. Dennis told me he was not authorized to do such a thing and I would have to talk to someone at Honda to authorize such a repair.I called her back to tell her that Dennis told me he can’t do that. I left a message; since then I have called three times but she never returned my calls. Called Aug. 9 and got another rep who was of no help. Said a case manager will call me within three working days. Old case manager, Lovette finally called back and told me, essentially, tough. Last Honda I’ll ever buy. Have a Subaru with over 200,000 miles, same environment and no problems. Ready to replace it – will be with another Subaru.

Transmission of 2002 Accord fails April 2011 (at 23,000 miles). Cost is $1867 to fix plus towing. Another part of the transmission (TCC Solenoid) fails January 2012 (at 27,252 miles), costing $864 to replace. Responding for the second time to the summer 2011 Honda recall for an airbag repair—response number 1 in September 2011 and response number 2 in December 2011—I was asked to come on a specific day in January 2012 to have it repaired. I went but Superior Honda of N.O. did not have the part. When they got the part and fixed it they told me that the OPDS sensor needed repair and I had no airbag coverage at all. I learned later that this problem was under warranty until one day before the repair was made. This was only $300, not the $3,000 transmission fiasco (including a guess at towing cost). I think Superior should extend the warranty one day since if they responded properly to the September request or had the part for the recall work, the OPDS sensor would have been under extended warranty (Spring 2006 letter from Honda).

There is an ignition switch recall - Same make, Same model, Same year as my Honda Civic, but they will not repair my ignition switch because my VIN doesnt match the recalled VINs, even though they have the diagnostic from the Honda tech saying that it IS, in fact, faulty and needs to be changed to avoid further DYING in the middle of a busy intersection or interstate! When I contacted American Honda, they told me that it was just Coincidental and even DENIED that that was the case until I had PAPERS showing that it was from their very own technicians! Jerks.

Im going to sum this up as quick as possible. We bought a car in January of 2016 and it started to smell in March. Well me and my girls got sick and this smell wouldnt go away. It was in everything and we had to get rid of a few things. So I took it into the dealership on 4/20 and they said theyd get it cleaned up and back to me... Well its now 6/23... which is 6 months later and I still dont have my car! Yes there was a leak in the back that they couldnt find so they sealed up the whole back end. Then they found mold in multiple places, but Ive had to fit the whole way. Customer service is horrible at the dealership and at Corporate. We bought a 75,000 car! Brand new and we got sick! Mold can kill you. No one seemed to care, and all they do is pass the blame. No one ever returns calls or admits anything. They just blame someone else. And now theyre not wanting to give us the full amount of our loan back?! Im not losing any money from this! We did nothing wrong! We were sold a bad product that couldnt be fixed! And now Honda and the dealership are trying to jip us out of money?! Weve been making payments even when we dont have the car?!!

I purchased a 2022 Honda HRV from Honda dealership, Carbone Honda, who sold to LED. My car stalled a couple times and salesperson said it was the energy saving feature, not really stalling. I had aftermarket car starter installed. Then car became difficult to start and stopped while driving on highway. They blamed the car starter and charged me to remove it and restore to factory. On my way home it shut off again. They then determined the washer holding the main ground wire was not staying locked and replaced it. Told me it wasn’t the car starter. I’m out $550 for car starter and removal of it. I’m afraid to put it back in because any issue will be blamed on it. I’m being bullied into buying their product. They refuse to return my money and I drove the car unsafely for a couple of months. I was basically called a liar by the Service Manager 12/17/21. Offered to discount factory car starter to $650 + tax and $100 loyalty card if I met the Honda Rep and signed a release. Honda Corp has an open case but always tell me that all they can do is talk to dealership. Whenever you call dealership no one answers, was told they had no receptionist in Service so they answer when they are not busy. I will never buy from Honda again!!

I have received 3 recall notices from Honda. The first one came in December 2015. The second came in March 2016. The third came in July 2016. I have called each time. I have not had nothing repaired. I have called and called since receiving the notice in July. I was promised someone would call me back. This was a empty promise. I have one vehicle. Yet I am told, let no one ride in the front passenger seat. Just think how many times someone has already rode in this seat. They told me that they would not be responsible, if someone got hurt. Since they suggest that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passengers seat until the recall repair has been performed, I have asked for another vehicle to drive until they get my car repaired. There has been nothing done about this either. I feel that I deserve an answer from someone.

Great car! I have had it for 4 years now and I dont regret the purchase. Beautiful car! Comfortable! Roomy! Great family car! Perfect for vacations or just a ride around town. Love all of the extra features! Its the nicest vehicle Ive ever owned. I would buy another one in a heartbeat if I could afford it. Please give me money so I can purchase a new one. I like the CD player, sunglasses holder, storage options, interior color, exterior color, adjustable side mirrors, adjustable rear view mirror, fold down back seats, Leather interior, heated seats, sunroof, navigation, backup cameras, Bluetooth stereo, and alloy wheels. However, I dont like the fact that there is no DVD player option. I wish it was easier to sync phones through the Bluetooth technology and that there was climate control in the back seat. I also wish the car washed itself. It is 2018 and I cant believe that type of technology doesnt exist. I dont like having to pay to update the maps on the navigation system.

At 13,000 miles, I detected oil leaking onto my parking space. The dipstick indicated the oil to be 2 quarts low. My Honda dealer did not respond to my concerns via e-mail. I went to the dealership where the service department topped off the oil. I said it appeared that the plug was not secured properly when last serviced there. My leak improved but seemed to continue. Another e-mail was ignored. I traded for another brand.

Hello, I visited Metro Honda service center on 4/8/2019 for regular service
Hello, I visited Metro Honda service center on 4/8/2019 for regular services. They change oil in my car on 28,503 miles and my current miles is 30,245 so just after I drive 1742 miles my cars oil life is 60% left. Actually when my car was on 30,000 miles that time I found that my cars oil life is now just 60% left. I clearly feels that this service center done something wrong with my car because as per my research I know that Honda Civic 2016 Ex-T model have synthetic oil and that have normally life of 7500 miles. In my car already 40% oil life is finished so I will get oil change soon around at 31,500-32,000 miles (from now after 1500 to 2000 miles). Every time I go to this service center and they are only the people changing oil in my car when this time I went there that customer service representative asked me that, Why are you just coming here for oil change and and why tire rotation and other services you are not giving us to do it here. I told them because they are charging too much money and not doing proper services so then customer service representative told me that, then why do you came here for oil change, go to the another service center who ever is giving you cheaper service, and that time I didnt give him any answer but I feel that this is not the right way to talk with the Honda customer. I am using Honda car because I have trust on the company. I strongly feels they did something wrong with my cars oil that why 40% of oil life finished too much early and previously I never seen that my oil life reduce this much faster. I am using my car daily. I have another same model car that is also 2016 Honda civic Ex turbo model and same silver color but that car I bought from another dealer and in that car also I drive same mileage and still in that car I change my cars oil around at 6000+ miles every time. I have trust on Honda that why I am using two same model of cars because I am driving it everyday. So I want refund for this oil change and also I want proper service for my car. I clearly feels that Metro Honda from where I bought my car and there I am going every time for oil change they did something wrong. Also, one more thing I would like to describe here that is before around 10 months ago at this service center they found that in one of my cars back side tire due to manufacturing fault there was something wrong with the brake and that they found after 2 years and 3 months after I drive my car for 24000 miles around. This is the thing which is risky for someones life. So you can imagine how much great services they are providing to the Honda customers.I want you to know that this is not a good business practice where they didnt behave good with the Honda customer and not giving them proper service. Please take some strict action on this and I want a clear justice for my car. Please fix my cars oil life problem. I hope I will get back very soon from the Honda Company and please solve the issue in my car with the oil life. -Harsh

I was raised in a Ford family and we rode Honda bikes and three-wheelers because my dad, who was a mechanic until he became a fireman, drove Fords and rode Honda motorcycles. Its all I knew as a kid and years later, after I got married my husband - who raced motocross on a Mako - bought me a Honda ATC. I loved that ride and was completely confident in its safety. So confident that I had no qualms about riding with my toddler son seated in front of me.

The district manager was asked to look at it, and he could not see how the dust/dirt was entering the interior except around the door seals. The best they could do locally was to give me the customer service # for Honda Corporation. They gave me a case # and said they would call. 3 weeks later they called and said SORRY but there was nothing they would be willing to do. I have called Honda customer service numerous times with regards to my airbag light permanently remaining on. I have verified with several mechanics, that apparently, this is a faulty seatbelt buckle that needs to be replaced. When I mentioned this to Honda, they advised me that they may be able to assist with something. They wont mention what that something is, and on the condition that I take my vehicle to a Honda dealership for confirmation. While I can appreciate the fact that Honda has to verify this, I dont believe I should have to pay over $100 just for a technician to verify what they already know to be an issue. This should actually be recalled by Honda. I have 3 colleagues that all own Hondas and we all have the same problem. When you contact Honda, asking if this is part of a recall, they deny it. What will it take for Honda to take ownership and replace these faulty buckles? Does someone need to die?

I own a 2011 Honda Accord of which I bought brand new in May of this year. Within three days of buying, I turned on the A/C and it wouldnt work. I took it in and they said that it wasnt plugged in from the factory. The funny thing is that I had the checklist from the factory and the A/C was signed off as working. Hmm! The second incident was when the car had about 3,000 miles and the check engine light came on. I took it in and they said that my O2 sensor was bad and they needed to replace it. Upon switching out the O2 sensor, they realized that the VTEC solenoid had a leak and it was leaking oil over the O2 sensors destroying it. They then replaced them both.My Honda now has about 10,000 miles and the A/C quit working again within the past two weeks. I took it in today and they told me that a small rock must have flown through my grill puncturing my A/C condenser and all of the freon leaked out. Now, I need multiple parts replaced. The cost is about $960 and it is not covered by the warranty. The serviceman told my husband that he sees this happening a lot. It is so frustrating to purchase a Honda that is supposed to be one of the most reliable cars and it is constantly failing. I am afraid to pay the grand to fix it only to have it possibly happen again. I think that I have counted eight times that it has been in/out of the shop to either be assessed or fixed. I am so done with Hondas!

Since my car was new. At 300 miles, I discovered all the fluids were below the recommended marks. The car was never PDId and Honda acknowledged this. At 600 miles, the power steering and engine have been vibrating/making noise. Honda inspected my car several times and it was not until the car was over 2000 miles that they decided to replace the power steering pump. The vibration, they said it was all fixed and done. Honda was supposed to re-inspect the car in early February 2012. I am still waiting for a call from Chris, my case manager. The car is still vibrating at idle; the power steering is still making noises and also vibrates. Front suspension, which was also a problem at 300 miles (according to the dealer who tightened bolts) is still making noises and vibrates. This is a brand new car, and now, at little over 6000 miles, I am ready to get rid of it and take legal actions against American Honda. I have all the documentation from each dealer/mechanic visit.I also have all telephone conversations with Honda (I work in the customer service/hospitality industry and I cannot switch this off for Hondas case manager) and I am scheduled to have a specialized engineer inspect my car for faults to pursue legal actions. I feel unsafe driving my car to work everyday. I am very frustrated and disappointed with Honda and it makes me very sad that simple communications are not even happening between Honda and me.

I received a recall notice for my 2015, which I leased at Millennium Honda in Hempstead NY. I scheduled my appointment to have to recall service done, 2 weeks in advance. On the day of my appointment (12/31/15) I took the day off from work a drove to the dealership. The service agent wrote up my job, took my car and asked me to wait in the waiting room as this service can take up to 90 minutes. After 100 minutes of waiting, I was summoned by my service agent who informed me that no work had been done on my car, as they did not have the parts to do the job.Its been 2 weeks since that first failed attempt at Millennium Honda, so I decided to schedule with another dealership. This time it was Advantage Honda in Manhasset NY. I was reassured by Stephanie who made my appointment for 1/16/16, that parts were available and that I would be afforded a free rental car due to the length of time this job would take. The day before the scheduled appointment, I double checked with Stephanie, that parts were available as well as the rental car, as I was driving a longer distance from my home. I was reassured by Stephanie that all was in place for my job today. When I arrived at Advantage Honda today, not only was I informed that they did not have the parts to do the recall service, but I was also not entitled to the free rental car. This is now 2 different dealerships with the same outcome. Ive got a brand new leased car in need of a potentially dangerous airbag related recall repair needed, and cannot find a Honda dealership that can perform the service. Shame on Honda!!

But as soon I start driving the car, the hybrid car switches on the engine but the engine sound is too high. Ive enjoyed my 2003 Honda Odyssey as a family car and also to haul garden materials. The seats are comfy and the overall driving experience is good. My main complaint is twofold. First, it gets only about 16 miles to the gallon around town/18 on the freeway. This is pretty poor by any standards. And second, the clear coat on the dark green paint job has failed; this began within 8 years of purchase. Large portions of the horizontal surfaces have peeled off, leaving a white residue, while the vertical surfaces still look very nice. I see other Odysseys around town of the same vintage and they all have the same problem. And a quick look on the web shows that this is a massive problem. I am looking forward to buying a new car soon but will not be buying a Honda due to the paint problem. Its a shame really as the car has performed well.

In this sea of negativity, keep in mind that this site is going to be skewed towards those coming here to complain about problems. Venting is understandable. Ive owned unreliable cars in the past. That being said, none of my problem cars have been Hondas. Ive owned Acuras and Hondas, and others in my family have Hondas as well and none of us have experienced problems at all. And were glad for that because thats the #1 reason we chose the manufacturer. Honda is KNOWN for reliability and low cost of ownership and their reputation is built on it. I purchased a 2007 Civic EX w/ Nav back in 2010. Got it for a great price and its been nothing but dead reliable. The only thing Ive had to do is brakes and new tires, all around at 75k miles. Otherwise, its been typical oil changes and fluid top offs. Ive taken the car from Texas to California and back on a road trip. Again, no problems. Im currently sitting at about 90k miles. The only real issue that I take is cosmetic. The front, passenger side fender/bumper, where the bumper meets the wheel well, always comes unhooked and pops out about a half an inch. I have to bump it back into place with the bottom of my fist from time to time. Thats really it. All the electronics work perfectly and it always starts and runs fine.

In April 2011, at 120k, I placed my first transmission in my 2004 Honda Accord. The cost is $2345.00. 16 months later, the transmission failed. I placed a used transmission and the cost is $909.00. The cost is $676.00 for a salvage shop in Pittsburgh, PA to put the transmission in the car. It’s a used transmission. It’s no good. It’s not shifting gears and has no reverse. It’s still under warranty; another tranny was ordered for an additional $150.00. New labor cost for installing price quoted was $480. If there are no problems, the total cost so far is $4,410.00. When I purchased my Honda brand new in 2004, I thought I was purchasing a reliable car that I could maybe pass down to my son. Honda should be ashamed that they could sell with the knowledge of troubled transmissions.

2019 HRV Have been happy with it. Infotainment center has always given me a problem. When turning on right blinker Apple car play turns off. Using steering wheel to change display doesn’t work. Constantly lost signal in middle of driving for no reason. Brought in more than once to fix it and all they did was reset it which only made me have to reset stations. Now nothing works on the system. They have no idea how long it will take to get entire audio system back in stock. So now The car I bought to have Apple Car play and maps does nothing. Can’t use phone charger. Can’t use Bluetooth. Nothing but a blinking H for who knows how long. I feel like I have not a full car. Finally ready to go on road trip and the things I bought for safer trips and doesn’t work. Bought the touring for all the infotainment and now have nothing. Paid for infotainment and now have nothing with no end in sight. Would not buy again because of this. Would sell now but wouldn’t get moneys worth because of it. 2019 HRV not worth it if you want a working radio or car charger or map.

Worst brand new car I have ever owned. One year ago, I Purchased a brand new Honda HRV from a new car Honda dealer in Puerto Vallarta. To begin with the car which is supposed to be very easy on gas never gets more than 15 miles on a gallon no matter how I drive. Unless you drive on the most unblemished smooth as roads in the world this is suspension is terrible and incredibly bumpy. In less than one year the dashboard rattles like it’s a 15-year-old jalopy. The air conditioning does not blow strongly enough to even moderately cool down the car in warm weather. So far the dealership is offered to do nothing about the terrible gas mileage saying they’ve checked the car and it’s fine. I will be bringing in the car to correct the other problems but I have no confidence they will be fixed either. Honda should be embarrassed to have put out a model that is this terrible.

Setting my account on line has been a nightmare and trying to make a payment was a nightmare. My temporary license is almost expiring in couple days and dealer is just careless. I made more than 7 visits to the dealer after leasing the two stupid cars to resign papers that were done by mistake. I do hate Honda. I do hate anyone who recommends Honda. I will always mention about my very poor experience and waste of time and discourage everyone I know to do business with Honda. I am seriously considering asking my lawyer to start a lawsuit against Honda for all the hassle and inconvenience I had. I am just waiting to have my temporary registration to expire and will sue you for the hassle and harassment and consequences for not being able to use my cars. Honda just goes to the hill. In continuation with the worst ever experience I had in my life dealing with Honda and its dealers, two days ago I received a call from the customer service of Honda to follow up regarding my complaint. The person who spoke to me lied to me and mentioned that he arranged for someone from the Midland dealer to bring to my home the renewed registration (plates) that expire on February 8th. He claimed someone will deliver the two temporary registrations today, February 8th. As expected, he was a liar and the dealer was a liar and no one came to my address. Tomorrow, February 9th, my two cars do not have valid license plates. Honda finances and the dealer who leased the two cars to me have already collected the fees for the lease and for the registration. Starting tomorrow, I will be charging Honda one thousand dollars per day until I receive the registration. The lease deal with Honda is no longer honored and I am not responsible for any payments until registrations are delivered to my address. I am also keeping my legal rights for suing Honda for compensation for the inconvenience and harassment. I will be talking to my lawyer to start legal actions against Honda. This email is a formal notification of your responsibility for the scam I have been exposed to.

Model Accord - System/Structure/Body/Trunk Lid. We have had our 2014 Honda Accord for just over one year. All of our family members have been hit in the head or back by the trunk. The trunk does not stay open on even a modest grade but does not fall down for several seconds, allowing people to lean into the trunk before it hits them. Injury to death more likely from the trunk lid. I have owned 10 cars and have never had one where the trunk lid will not remain up. 2014 Honda Accord problems and complaints, up-to-date recall information and reviews. If you are researching a used Honda Accord, driving a 2014 Honda Accord, or if you are planning to purchase one, review owner-reported Honda Structure, Body, Trunk Lid problems and defects.

I bought a Galaxy Gray Honda Civic LX Sedan new on Memorial Day weekend in 2008. In 2014, I noticed that the paint on the roof was fading (it looked like it had been rubbed really hard in some areas and just came off). A 6-year old car with fading paint? That made no sense, so I checked and found there was a Honda bulletin issued addressing the paint issues and that they would repaint the affected areas. I took it to the dealer where I bought it, they kept it for two weeks and didnt offer me a loaner. They acted like they were doing me this huge favor by repainting it for free. They had a body shop repaint the roof, hood, and front fenders. I thought that was the end of it. Well, at about 7.5 years of age, the paint started coming off the trunk. I went back to the dealer and was told sorry, its out of warranty. We cant do anything for you. Now the car is 9 years old and the paint is coming off two of the doors as well as the trunk. Also, the rubber stripping along both sides of the windshield cracked and broke off, and the rubber trim along two of the windows has done the same. Im very disappointed. This is my third Honda Civic; I previously had an 89 and a 98 and had no problems like this. My car only has 87,000 miles on it, so it should last me at least another 9 years; its just going to look like crap unless I spend $$$ to repaint it. Why didnt Honda just repaint the entire car when they had it? The quotes Im getting to repaint the affected areas range from $1500 to $2100. I trusted Honda due to my previous experiences, but this will be my last Honda. When Consumer Reports asked me if I would buy this car again, I had to answer No. When I hear or see those Helpful SoCal Honda Dealer commercials, I turn the channel. Theyll help complete strangers with things, but they wont help their own customers! Their quality has really gone downhill and they just dont seem to care.

When I bought my Honda CRV I leased for the first time and after 3 months I paid the car off early. I sent in what I needed for the title and I have called 5 times regarding where it is. I was told it was mailed out a few weeks ago and if I dont receive it I will have to pay $60.00 to get another shipped out. First of all I didnt know about all the sale tax I had to pay, plus I just paid my car off after three months! I think I had 12 Hondas since 1999. I feel I shouldnt have to deal with all the stress to get a title plus I am a good customer. I am so upset and I dont have the time to deal with all this. Once again I do what Im suppose to do and now Im stuck!

I contacted the main number to Honda regarding my complaint (the need to new brake pads after only driving the car for 22,000). Two reps called me and the dealer contacted me and everyone was very helpful in rectifying this situation. They looked over my warranty and are now in the process of working out a refund for me. I was upset and very angry initially as I hold Honda in such a high-esteem. And after their help and what seemed to be genuine assistance, my dissatisfaction has abated! I will now reconsider and may purchase another (4th) Honda, as Customer Service was truly unbeatable.

I purchased a 2010 Honda Accord from Anderson Honda in Maryland. When I purchased my vehicle, I inquired about getting a bluetooth device installed. I was told that if I got the device as part of my purchase that it would be covered under 3-year 36,000 mile warranty that came with the car. I purchased it (the item is on my Vehicle Purchase Agreement) and subsequently, the car went from MD to CA with my daughter. The bluetooth device is now dropping calls, and my daughter went to get it repaired in CA. Miller Honda told her it was aftermarket, and they would not fix it. I called Anderson and my sales representative, Jim **, told me, “Oh that was if the car was here in Maryland.” I told him that at the time I told him I was taking the car to my daughter in California and he said it will be covered under the car’s 3-year 36,000 mile warranty. I am angry, because I financed this item when I could have paid cash for it and had it installed after the purchase. Also, I was told that this was a factory Honda item (Hands Free Link), and if I knew it was an aftermarket item, I may have gotten a NAV or more sophisticated item for my money. Finally, I am angry because Honda is not living up to its obligations and lied to me to get me to purchase this item that they now do not want to stand behind. I had a bad experience years ago with a Renault and have stayed away from companies that I thought were not reputable. I should have stayed with Toyota, I guess. I want no one else to get burned like this.

I had an engine seal leak, broken shock, replaced rotors and brakes at 23,000. Now I have another horrible noise that will need fixed. Honda service and Honda Corp can’t hear the noise yet outside reputable mechanics can. Honda knows I am 3,000 miles until my 36,000 warranty is up so they don’t, hear anything and so will not investigate the problem. I believe I have a lemon. Honda Corp doesn’t participate in the California Lemon Law. They are ignoring my complaints.]

2000 Honda Accord EX-V6 4spd Automatic - I began having issues with my transmission about a month ago. It started with slippage then hard shifting into reverse, and now, it hardly shifts from 1st into 2nd. It holds 1st way too long then shifts out of 1st, slips, and then slams into 2nd, causing the shift indicator light to blink and a check engine light code. The car was purchased new and currently has 130,000 miles. From what Ive read on the internet, it is a common recurring problem that Honda is aware of. I feel there needs to be an extended recall to 150,000 miles.

I got Honda Jazz on April last year. I had trouble within two months, no rear brakes. The dealership kept lying and saying nothing was wrong. Four times I went back with no help. Every time I put the handbrake on incline, nothing happens. I told them about this. I took the car to another garage for MOT, it failed on rear brakes. I went to the dealer and showed them the report. They refused to do anything. I paid for repairs myself, returned to the dealer with the bill and asked to see the owner. The staff member refused to get him and was rather intimidating and aggressive. The repairs showed the rear calipers were not working, only one pad was contacting with the disc, so I was driving a dangerous car. I would like something done before I take matters further. I think it is disgusting the way I have been treated. Trading standards said I would have had case if I had gone to them sooner.

The Honda is very dependable with good gas mileage. Solid construction. I did a great deal of research before buying a Honda and thanks to Consumer Affairs narrowed it down to Nissan, Toyota and Honda. The design of the Honda was superior as was the handling and performance. I knew it was the right car for me at this point in time.

So my car note had been behind for month due to the fact that my husband had lost his job, and I have been the bread winner. My carnote of my 2011 Fit had fallen behind, but I always sent them SOMETHING. Fast forward I come off my day shift at work and notice that my car was gone:(. I frantically called Honda like hey did you guys repo the car? And the Rep. said, Well the car is in repo status, but it does not show in our system as being picked up or not. She made a few phone calls and said that she would not know until one of the many companies they work with send in the proper documents stating that the car was picked up. Long story short Honda required me to pay a repo fee to the city (Torrance, Ca which was 12$ to the city Court House) pay the repo fee, and bring my past due balance current. The only thing that sucks is the process of running out of time during the day and having to wait a whole nother day which equals another day of storage fees. My car was picked up on a Thursday. My fees were paid that Friday afternoon, but because I paid a little after 4 pm the lot was closed :( and I had to wait until Monday to get my car. I must say my situation was HORRIBLE, but it wasnt because of Honda. And Out of all the reps I spoke to they were not all that rude to me (They were kinda like demanding and one person told me more information than they were suppose to but hey he was being nice). So all and all once my account was brought up to date Honda faxed over the release paper. I was able to go to the lot and get my car. (I did have to pay a storage fee of 362.50 CASH???) But I cant just say Honda made the process harder than what it was. If I have anything to complain about its the fact that these lots close SO EARLY and are not open on weekends and cont. to charge you :(. But I just got my car released to me today. After being gone from Thursday December 15 till Monday December 19...
