Mercedes-Benz, commonly referred to as just Mercedes, is a German luxury automotive marque. Mercedes-Benz and subsidiary Mercedes-Benz AG are headquartered in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Mercedes-Benz produces consumer luxury vehicles and commercial vehicles.

The CLS borrows a chassis and interior trimmings from the E-class but puts its own slinky spin on the exterior styling. Under its creased hood is a smooth 362-hp inline-six boosted by an electric motor that can add 21 hp low in the rev range to combat turbo lag. The car's E-class underpinnings mean it’s more boulevard cruiser than back-road bomber, but its ride is comfortable, and the cabin is dripping with luxury. The sloped roof trims rear-seat headroom, but that’s the trade-off for good looks.

Product Reviews:

We purchased a Mercedes Benz Gl 450 for a total of over $47,000 in July 2019 and in addition to the car having warranty up to 50,000 miles, we purchased an additional service/repair package for $1,800.00. We spent all that money with an expectation of safety, reliability and the peace of mind promised by mercedes benz's multi point inspection, warranty up to 50,000 miles and the extra repair package that we purchased. Recently we noticed that when we first start driving the car has a noise on the right side, the noise is most noticeable when applying the brake and when releasing the brake. On December 2nd, we took the car to Mercedes Benz of Valencia and to say that the service department staff was UNWILLING TO HELP is a gross understatement. The service manager was derelict of his responsibility. First he said there was no loaner vehicle available therefore, no one could examine our car, when in fact I had called twice to confirm that a loan vehicle would be available to us when making the appointment. Then second he said nothing could be done to examine the noise in our car because the car had been in an accident, therefore warranty was not attached, but could not show me any of that in writing. Further, the accident was a minor one with only minor body damage which amounted to a $3,400 repair job and no engine damage was sustained. We stressed on multiple occasions that we needed to establish whether the noise was engine related or a result of accident related body damage. They eventually did agree to keep the car for examination, they called the following day on December 3rd and told us to come and get the car. Bill the service representative stated that they heard the noise when applying the brake and said there is nothing they can do because the brakes on the car are new and that they do not know what is causing the noise nor what could be wrong with the car. We are concerned and, worried about our safety, not to mention flabbergasted that the auto manufacturer's employees are unwilling to diagnose the problem and are demonstrating a blatant disregard for brand integrity or customer safety. There was no report given to on what type of examination or assessment if any at all was performed on the car. There was no print out of areas examined and findings observed, it appears they kept or car overnight and called us in the morning to fetch it. Given that brakes are a very important part of vehicle operation we are shocked that the service department has displayed such a lackadaisical attitude towards a potential safety risk. We purchased the car which has up to 50,000 mile warranty or 7 years whichever occurs first and the additional repair package for peace of mind expecting to get the proper service that would address any issues and instead we were told by the vehicle manufacturer service department that there is nothing they can do and further they do not know what is causing the malfunction in a car manufactured by Mercedes and covered by a 50,000 mile warranty. There is something very wrong with that.

Top notch German made car. Drives like a dream, very few mechanical issues and is truly luxurious inside. This car is both beautiful and functional. It’s got the traditional Mercedes look and classic feel that gives a nod to the past while driving you into the future.

Have been driving a new ML350 for about 5 months and just noticed that the warning for passenger rear doors that are NOT latched closed is only given after the car is in motion 6-7 MPH? Seems too late for anyone (young child) or maybe anything leaning against the door (hopefully seat belt will protect against falling out). I tried this, just barely closing the door (not latched at all) and no warning at all!I asked Mercedes Customer Service and my dealer and they both confirmed the 'door open' warning is 'speed sensitive' and only alarms/displays after the car is in motion, traveling at least 6-7MPH. I checked and they are correct. All other cars I have owned gave an indication (usually visually and audible) either prior to, or the moment the car was put into drive. Seems like obvious 'safety' oversight? Did not expect this from Mercedes. Obvious Safety Flaw. Why hasn't NHTSA caught this yet???

Bought a 2013 Mercedes E350 for my wife as a surprise. She is out of the country at the moment, car has been parked and waiting for her. I start it once a week so the motor runs. Get in last week, command center is peeling. Take it to the dealer they try to say there is a fluid on it and it is from an air freshener. Great, but the car does not have an air freshener, nor has it been washed except for when Mercedes-Benz Tampa did the tint. I took it back and has been parked. Only thing I can think of is when they did the window tint something got there, but my personal opinion is that it is just falling apart. Especially after I read reviews about you can't wear lotion because the " soft touch trim" peels, etc. Ask how much to fix it, $5,700 dollars. What a crock.Call Mercedes-Benz USA, they act like they are interested and then do not even call back. After tracking them down (granted the caseworker had a baby and ended up going on maternity leave), they basically just say the dealer is not going to do anything about it and we support them. Thanks for nothing and making me waste a week.

Underpowered, expensive maintenance, heavy car so protective in an accident. Outdated dashboard. Smooth ride, slow to respond to accelerate, firm braking. High depreciation, comfortable interior and nice heated seats, auto seatbelts.

I own a 2014 SL550 and a 2001 SL500. Mercedes no longer makes the keys for the 2001 SL500 and they can not tell you who can make them for you. I called 2 dealers and the US Customer support line. One dealer said you need to go to a locksmith. I called 22 locksmiths. None make the keys. Two said they can't make the keys because Mercedes will not release the codes necessary for them to make them. So let me get this straight. Mercedes can't make them and they won't enable anyone else make them. These keys have been unavailable for almost a year. If you lose your key, tough luck. Your car is a large paper weight. Mercedes doesn't give a hoot. What moron is in charge of this at Mercedes? Whoever it is, they could care less about their loyal customers and should be fired immediately. I think I'll sell both cars and buy something else. Mercedes has lost me as a customer.

This car is overall a great car and I love it. I had a 1999 Mercedes before this one and was in a head on collision. It saved our lives. That's why I got another Mercedes. The only problem I have is that it's hard to change a tire compared to American made cars.

I bought a used 2012 C300 MB from a dealer with 24,600 miles. The vehicle has 4 years 50000 miles warranty. The ac on the car stop working no cold air. I took the vehicle to MB South Orlando to repair the ac. The vehicle was involved in an accident on the left front fender and was repaired and they leave out some missing weather strip rubber when the repair was completed. The car had 29,300 miles and still under warranty when I took it to this money hungry dealer. The service technician said the warranty on the vehicle will not cover the repair due to missing parts under the hood that has nothing to do with the AC and I have to pay for 3 hours labor at $150/hr to diagnose what is the reason for no cool air.I took the vehicle to my local mechanic shop and in less than 5 minutes he found out the condenser was bad. I had him replaced it for a cost of $497.00, just a few more than the cost for a so called certified technician to find out what was wrong in the first place at the dealer. I contacted MBUSA and the fool I spoke to also resonating the same sentiments the service adviser at the dealer told me. So I said to him if I buy a car at the dealer upon driving it out to the road the car was hit that means the warranty is void? He said no, so I was very confused with this fool as well. I have 5 vehicles and all warranty job done on them I did not had to pay a penny to have the repairs done at the dealers. Both MB South Orlando and MS USA are all thieves. I told the person at MB USA the way warranty works is you take the vehicle in to a dealer, they find the problem, the warranty dept. is contacted and they pay the dealership for the repair cost. This ** about diagnostic cost is all a scam. All you MB lovers out there beware, do not buy cars from this dealership and do not buy Mercedes Benz vehicle. They are overpriced, the dealers and corporate office provides the WORST customer service ever and all you are left with is the bill to pay. In short they suck. If I had purchased a used vehicle from MBSO with warranty on it I assumed they would have fixed it. I guess they were not happy I bought the car from other dealer. This is the last MB I will ever own.

On a recent road trip the check engine light lit up on my 2010 GLK 350. When I took the vehicle local dealer where they performed a "quick test" to reveal what they termed as a camshaft stretched timing chain. I had heard previously that Mercedes had been having this 350 engine problem with several models and years. I went online to discover that in fact that there have been numerous such problems with the 350 engine. My local dealer wants $2,600.00 to pull the engine and repair. Yes, the vehicle is out of warranty, but it seems to me that Mercedes knew well before the 2010 models were produced that they were having complaints about the 350 camshaft adjuster problem.

Someone rear ended me in Dec. They couldn't find a muffler part anywhere in the US nor Germany, and it was special ordered. It's now February, no news on status. Executive customer service says it sometimes happens. Is that the best you can do for luxury cars?
