My 2021 GM Yukon Denali had about 2-3 months and less than 2000 miles when I first tried to use the rear seat entertainment. It didn’t work. Took to service dept. They only connect headset but screens didn’t work. Took it back, found it had electrical problems. They kept my vehicle for almost 30 days. The part was not available due to it being brand new. Finally after almost 30 days they got part but another electrical part went out. They had to order that too. Meantime I’m working with GM to get my $1200 car payment reimbursed. It’s a very expensive and brand new vehicle so I expect it to work correctly. I’m not able to drive it so why am I paying for it. They agreed to reimburse me. Lady I was working with no longer works there. New Person taking over case says they can’t and won’t reimburse me. They went back on their word. I will never buy GM again. Brand new vehicles should be inspected to make sure all parts are working correctly. This experience has been nothing but headaches for me and my family.

I have been complaining about the same concerns to GMC customer assistance for months. I am not getting any assistance from the dealer and a customer “senior” case manager seems to forget our conversations EVERY TIME! I have been being pulled along for a ride regarding how important my business is and that they will have a resolution to either trade me out of my car with assistance or buy this lemon back. It is appalling how I am being treated right now after being patient for months and months and trying to work with a brand that I have been very loyal to, to receive zero action and all talk. I will be trading in my vehicle and leaving the brand after spending over 75k on a Denali and 60k on a Suburban brand new off the lot from a GMC dealer. All over poor customer service.

Bought a new 2013 3500HD Duramax Diesel that doesnt get driven a great deal. Just over 20K miles and both Knock Sensors failed along with other Diesel Exhaust components. > $700 to replace sensors. Contacted GM and they tell me to read the Owners Manual on Warranty - 36 Months. Not the first issue with sensors on this vehicle. My first new Chevrolet purchase ever and most likely the last. Happy with my 2003 Toyota Tundra with > 300K miles on it and no sensor problems. Stay away from GM.

Here is my ongoing log of what I have been going through since I leased a brand new 2015 Chevy Equinox on May 12, 2015. Please help by sharing this with everyone daily. I will keep posting updates until this matter has been resolved to my satisfaction!5/12/15 Tuesday, leased a brand new 2015 Chevy Equinox from Victor Chevrolet. Odometer reads 118. 5/17 Saturday, day 5, radio/Bluetooth went dead. Pushed all buttons, one of them reset radio. Bluetooth dead until I shut off car. Went in house, came back out and started car. Bluetooth worked. Hoping it was a one time deal. 5/21 Thursday a.m, on my way to work audio went dead, screen still lit. Went into Walmart, came out, started car, screen was dead. Bluetooth dead. Sent Kevin (my wonderful salesman who promised me before buying this lemon that he always takes care of his customers. What he meant by that has yet to been determined) an e-mail stating that I was having trouble with the radio/Bluetooth and needed it replaced with a functioning one. After all, it is brand new and under warranty!5/21 p.m., I spoke with Kevin and told him I would drop it off after I got out of work that day. After work that day, I had a friend follow me to Victor Chevrolet to drop off the car. I met Bill in Service. He told me he would call me when the car was fixed. I was surprised when Bill called me in less than an hour, telling me it was fixed. So my friend drove me back out to pick up my brand new repaired 2015 Equinox. When I got there to pick it up, Bill explained to me that the radio/Bluetooth system had what he called a glitch in it. GM was aware of the glitch and was working on a fix for it. He warned me that it may take 1-3 months to come up with a fix for the glitch. He said if it happened again, just press this button on the rear view mirror and it would reset. I left with the vehicle, foolishly thinking that it probably wouldnt happen immediately. Wrong!5/22 Friday, the next day it happened again. I pushed the button that Bill had told me to push, and yes the radio went back on, but the phone/Bluetooth wouldnt connect. 5/23 Saturday, called Victor Chevrolet. Told them this was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable and I was bringing the lemon back and I wanted it fixed, or they would have to give me a new car, or cancel the lease. Their choice of the three options. When I brought it back, I met Phil the service manager. He immediately knew what the problem was! All it needed was a new module. Thats all, simple! He would order it and let me know when it was in. Really??? If it was that simple, why didnt Bill know this two nights ago when I had brought it in??? I said Im leaving it! I refuse to drive a brand new car without a radio/phone - fix it!. I did not agree to leasing a defective vehicle! Odometer approx. 450.5/28 Thursday, got a call from Phil. He told me he could not get the module he needed to fix the vehicle. Said GM has a hold on the part. They will not release this part. The part is VIN specific. It cant just be taken off another vehicle on the lot! I said so you cant fix it. He said no. I told him I wanted another car or the lease cancelled. He agreed that this is what should happen. 5/29 Friday, I was then pawned off on Ed **? spelling, who is the sales manager. Ed explained that he would have to get authorization from GM to do a buy back and then they would set me up with a new vehicle. Said he would get back to me on Monday 6/1. 6/1 Monday, getting the run around from Ed! Surprise!6/2 Tuesday, Phil gets on the phone and tells me that hes been talking with some people at GM and they have a solution! Really? I find this sudden revelation to be very interesting. These dirtbags will say anything and try anything to delay, delay, delay the end game here. Now they suddenly have a fix!? I doubt it, but Ill give them one last chance at this pathetic run-around game they are playing. I know they dont have a so called sudden fix, but whats another day, in this pathetic game? So now, Phil is going to reprogram the unit. GM is sending him by computer the new program. He will install the update in the lemon and he is going to miraculously fix the problem!!6/3 Wednesday, Phil has reprogrammed the unit and is now out test driving the lemon. Hes gone five miles and assures me its working well. I can come tomorrow to pick it up and drive away in my brand new 2015 Chevy Equinox. Cant wait! Im so excited, cant you tell? 6/4 Thursday, cant wait to spend my half day off, begging for a ride to go pick up my lemon! They fueled it up and even waxed it. Life is good! I pull out, stop home, go pick up my son, go to a store, go back home, get in the lemon again with both my sisters to go to visit a friend in the hospital. Guess what happens next? The audio goes dead, imagine that! I call Phil. Oh, hes going to call Onstar to see if they can get a code! There may be hope. He thinks they got a code. I bring it back to Victor Chevrolet. Phil is not there, I talk to Bill. I tell him I am done, keep it, I dont want it… EVER! Its worse than the boy who cried wolf. I cant stand it!Here is what I want. LEASE CANCELED. REFUND MY $3000.00 down payment before I have to make my first payment. Advised by Victor Chevrolet to Call GM Customer Service and set up a case number. Spoke with GM. Reiterated my complaint and was shuffled to DONNA (1-866-790-5600x**), who would now be in charge of my case. She assigned it a number: Service Request #**. This made me feel like maybe, just maybe, someone might be able to help. Hahaha, the joke was on me! Donna would later become known as worthless, non-responsive Donna, never to be heard from again, even after leaving several messages on her pathetic answering machine.6/8, message from Phil ** (service manager who seems to be the only one willing to talk about the lemon), he tells me he is talking with OnStar and he has forwarded all my info in an e-mail to them. 6/9, havent heard anything - as usual - so I text Phil and ask what hes heard. 6/10, Phil texts me that he is out with an infection. 6/11, Phil texts that he spoke with the TAC and OnStar people and they are sending a chassis overnight ship priority. 6/12 (Friday), told by Phil by text message that chassis has arrived and he was pulling the lemon in as he was texting me. Later texted that once it was installed, he would be test driving it to make sure all was well. Said I could plan on picking it up Saturday 6/13. 6/13 (Saturday), Phil was still testing it.6/15 (Monday), Phil reports that its all fine. Says he will deliver it to my house so I dont have to be inconvenienced for the umpteenth time. I agree. Texted Phil to thank him for the delivery at 5:06 p.m. Reported to Phil at 5:33 p.m. that I paired the vehicle with my phone, but when I dialed, it wanted to use OnStar Calling and not my phone. Reported to Phil at 7:50 p.m. that I pulled into my sons school parking lot and the radio went dead, no phone, no OnStar, no anything!!! Would not reset after pressing the suggested reset button. Turned vehicle off and back on, still nothing.6/16 Tuesday, started car in a.m to go to work. Everything working. 6/17 Wednesday, reported to Phil about working perfect on 6/16. Told him I would continue driving it and report back. 6/19 Friday, reported to Phil that it was working fine. Spoke too soon. 6/20 Saturday, went to a graduation party. Went to car, started it and made a phone call. The person didnt answer so I used the button on the steering wheel to cancel the call. My phone turned off, but the radio screen said connected to Marg cell at which time I couldnt use the radio or phone. I turned off the vehicle and the screen remained lit with that message. I turned the vehicle back on and the message remained for another 10 minutes before I gave up and shut it off and walked away. Went back to the graduation party. Returned to the vehicle about an hour later and it worked fine. (VIDEO).6/23 Tuesday, heading to work and screen goes dead. Same as usual. Hit reset button radio goes back on, but no phone and no OnStar. Come out after work, and all is working. Need car through the weekend for my sons High School graduation. Will take notes and return lemon for third and final BS no-fix attempt that is required by lemon law. Pathetic. 6/25 Thursday, same exact thing as 6/23. On the way to work. 6/27 Saturday, after graduation, on the way to Delmonicos. This time Jim is driving which allows me to videotape exactly what it does. (VIDEO).6/28 Sunday, texted Phil with the news. I will be bringing the lemon back. Will need a loaner off the lot. Unlike the rental car from Enterprise offered to me before, that would have required my credit card. When asked why they would need my credit card, their response at Enterprise was in case Victor Chevy doesnt pay. REALLY? Thanks, but no thanks!!! Of course I declined that snake oil offer.6/29 Monday, heard from Phil. They have a loaner. Told him I would be in to leave the lemon and take the loaner. Did that at 1 p.m. Nice way to spend my vacation day off. Ugh! 6/30 Tuesday, texted Phil the following: Hows it going Phil. Is the 3rd nonfix done? That was a joke!!! What is GMs response at this stage of the pathetic game that they are playing? They either have an immediate fix or they no fix at all! You and I both know there is no satisfactory repair for this car! We need to resolve this asap.7/1 Wednesday, texted Phil. Asked if anything was happening. His response: Barb, a lot I have been escalating everything with GM tech including buy back. I am out of the office but I have a GM exec thats going to call you. I will be in touch soon! Bill was also going to follow up fyi. Thanks. Phil 7/6 Monday, texted Phil to see if anything new. Told him I hadnt heard from any GM EXEC as stated in his previous text. As a matter of fact, I told him that he was the only one I have heard from. 7/7 Tuesday, his response: Barb, I have escalated your case to the area sales and service manager! I have a 2018 Chevy Trax awd. On 8/4/21 my engine died. We assume as they really havent told us yet what is wrong. We had the car towed to our dealer Outten Chevy in Hamburg PA. Immediately they started coming up with reasons to void the 5 year, 60,000 mile power train warranty. They have used several excuses from wrong oil filter installed even though according to websites it was the right one, to low oil even though it was fine until the incident and then started leaking oil on way to dealer on a flatbed. It is now 11/15/21. More than 3 months and my car is sitting at the dealership and we are yet to hear from GMAC. We have sent them a certified letter, when we call we leave voicemails and cannot get ahold of anyone.The dealership told us the tube to the turbo melted but would not say if that caused the engine issue. They offered to replace it at a cost to us but said may not fix the issue. Sounds like a flaw to me but GMAC is not recognizing this or covering under their warranty. How can a 3.5 year old car engine blow when we maintained it and was driven with care. I cannot believe that we are having this much trouble for a company to stand behind their product. Not only is the dealership doing nothing but GMAC doesnt seem to want to do anything either. I work two jobs and have had to rely on friends and family to borrow cars as they could not even provide a loaner car to me. I am still paying payments and insurance on a vehicle that has been sitting on a dealers lot still waiting to be diagnosed because they are not looking into it since they cant seem to get it covered under the warranty.What is wrong with this world with businesses not standing behind their products and doing the right thing. We come from a long list of Chevy/gmac owned vehicles from a 41 chevy coupe to a 2020 Gmac Denali and numerous in between and never ever have had an issue like this. I simply cannot believe it, but it is causing us to rethink about buy Chevy/gmac. I know I read reviews and I hope that this may help someone else in the future when considering to buy a Chevy/gmac be careful cause they may not stand behind their product. As for me, I will be continuing my fight for them to do whats right and fix my car.

I bought a new vehicle 2014 Chevy Camaro with a v6 3.7 engine and GM didnt think it was necessary to install a low oil sensor in their engines. Recently I changed my oil as I have always on time when prompted to. And replaced oil filter cap and the o-ring did not seal properly so needless to say without any warning lights or anything the engine pumped out 5 1/2 quarts of much needed 6 total of my oil. Didnt realize anything was wrong until the engine started making a loud noise. Of course GM says theyre not responsible for this mistake because I changed my own oil. But I ask GM why I can buy a $99 lawn mower with a low oil sensor in the engine to protect my investment but a $26,000 Camaro does not have a low oil sensor in the engine to protect my investment. I said even if I fix the car myself this can happen again.I have always been a Chevy man but this just makes no sense to me why they would not invest another $20-$30 to protect what the dealer said will cost me now at least $9500 for a new engine, which I totally disagree with because its only ticking and may not need a new engine but for now and the next 4-5 yrs. Ill be paying very high payments on a yellow lemon yard ornament... this should be a recall. Theres no excuse for this type of manufacturing, very disappointed in the brand Ive bragged about for many years. If this is their best they can build for consumers, they should stop building cars. At this point, I can promise I will always tell people about the warning of the disrespect for consumer investment that GM does not care one damn bit about you after you purchase their product. I own a 2013 GMC Terrain. The car was part of a lawsuit against GM for excessive oil consumption. My car was 4qt low on oil, NO oil light ever came on. The car now needs $2,500 in repairs and GM is refusing to pay for it although the lawsuit states they are responsible for it and are to pay for it! Myself and my family have always driven GM vehicles. I’m the last one in the family left driving one and now I know why. They do not stand behind their products and do not support their customers. Customer service from GM just keeps say, We are working on this. Give us two days and we’ll call you. It’s been 3weeks!!! I’m paying for a rental out of my pocket and making a car payment. GM is useless. DO NOT BUY ONE!

In October of 2016 the engine light came on, and it was discovered to have been caused by the mass airflow system. I had this part replaced but within a few days the light was on again. I brought the car back to the shop and the part was replaced a second time. Upon test drive, the light again came back on. A third part was ordered and replaced. When the light came on for the fourth time, my mechanic ran through the wiring system but did not find anything out of the ordinary. He ran checks on the gas pedal and various other sensors. He then deduced that the problem was not with any of the sensors, nor any of the mechanical systems in the vehicle. He thought it might be the ECM, but advised me to bring the car to Central Chevrolet to have them look deeper into the issue.The Astra was taken to Central Chevrolet, where they subsequently ran diagnostics and discovered that the ECM was, in fact, bad. I inquired about purchasing an ECM from a parts site that I will not name, but was informed that GM would be unable to or would not program the computer unless it was an OEM part. At this point, my hands were tied. I would have to spend $700 on the part if I wanted my car to run properly again. I bit the bullet and told them to go ahead and move forward with the repair.Central Chevrolet received the part and assigned one of their GM technicians to begin the programming. As the process neared completion, the ECM was bricked. A second ECM was purchased and a second, more qualified GM tech was assigned to do the programming. He was on the phone with either a TAC or TISS representative I cant recall which and together they went through the programming process step by step. Again, the programming failed toward the end and bricked the part. It was not until after this second part failed that GM decided to inform the service department at Central Chevrolet that the pre-2009 Saturn software for this part is no longer available.So here I am now, six months after the engine light first came on and at least six weeks without my vehicle. As I was without the car for several days here and there for troubleshooting between October and March, the inconvenience is even greater. How can GM just let software go away for a car that is not even ten years old? Its software, its not like its taking up a bunch of space in a warehouse somewhere. Additionally, how does GM sell a part to a repair shop TWICE without advising that the software required to make it work no longer exists? And then to wait until AFTER the second part bricks?I called GMs customer service line and spoke with Joe, who sent me to Shaneva. Shaneva informed me that she would call Central Chevrolet for more details, and that I would have to wait 24-72 hours before receiving an update. The call came at the 72nd hour. When Shaneva informed me that in lieu of a resolution, I was being offered an Owners Loyalty Certification, I asked to be directed to a supervisor. I was told my call would be returned within 24-48 hours. I received no response within that time frame, and I actually had to call back again.I have since retrieved my car from Central Chevrolet. It is now in much worse condition than it was when I brought it in, and the vehicle is simply not safe to drive. I expected the original issue to still be a problem. I did NOT expect to be left with a car that I can no longer drive AT ALL! I have been a GM customer/vehicle owner for over 20 years, and I have never had a problem, until now. I am extremely disappointed in the way this situation has been unfolding. When I purchase a car, I expect it to get old and to need repairs. I also expect to have the choice of whether to make those repairs. In this situation, not only do I have no choice, but GM has the gall to offer me an Owners Loyalty Certificate with the expectation that I would purchase another GM product.

It is pretty bad when you have been to the service department so many times they know you by name. Started with cam shafts sensor then it was rear main seal then gas leak. Next visit was pistons rods water pump timing chain, and minors between. The service dept at McDaniel Motors have been great. Other than they had my car so long I had to take back my loaner and get another one. I am not happy with this vehicle (2012 Equinox). If someone would have told me this vehicle is known to use a lot of oil I would not have purchased it. I paid a high price for this vehicle I expect it to stand up to its price. Has not happened.

My dashboard is caving in. I contacted GM. They asked me to take it to a dealer, which I did. Now, they are telling me that this is due to the age of my vehicle. I have owned plenty of vehicles and never have I experienced my dashboard to cave in. My vehicle has 120,000 miles. They are telling me it is no longer covered. My vehicle is a 2007. Ive owned vehicles with 200,000 miles and Ive never had my dashboard cave in. This is a safety concern. The airbag cover is popped out. And there are two cracks around the airbag. I dont feel safe to have people in the passenger seat of my vehicle. The door handles are also chipped, and have cut myself and passengers in my vehicle. Because of provisions in the special campaign, they are refusing to correct the problem. GM didnt have a problem financing me for 7 years, or taking my $30,000 plus when I purchased my vehicle. But now, they are refusing to fix their faulty product.

Also in the winter with idling or short trips the exhaust filter will plug up. Had to take it to dealer also $150. $60,000 for a truck in the summer. Chevy was no help.

Then it was another new problem today. I cranked the car and went in the house and the car will not came back out. All the door locks were clicking up and down. The car will not move. I wish this car would just go away.

I purchased a new 2018 Chevy Traverse in July of 2018 from Hendrick Chevrolet in Cary, NC. It has now been in the shop for the third time, this time for 6 weeks because the part is not available. I find it hard to believe that a large manufacturer like GM does not have the part needed to fix my car. I am in the second loaner from the dealership and they are trying to switch me out again. I really dont think customer service is GMs specialty.

I am writing in regards to my recent Service on my truck at Woodlands Hills Ca. GMC. I have a couple things that needs to be addressed. In reviewing the details on my receipt it indicated that they put 9 quarts of oil in my truck. That cant be the case as the truck only holds 6 quarts. In doing a comparison of my 2-15-17 and yesterday’s receipts, I noticed in the inspection of the Brakes Pads does not make any sense. 2-15-17 Brake Inspection noted the front brakes at 6mm and the rear brakes at 5mm. 7-27-17 Brake inspection has the front brakes at 8mm and the rear brakes at 9mm. I have not had my brakes done and the pads cannot have gotten better. They should be more worn. This leads me to believe that the brakes were not check at all. Which further leads me to believe if any work was been done on my vehicle. I was advised I would be give a refund of the 3 extra quarts of oil by the Service Manager. This borders on fraud if not outright fraud.

Let me preface that I love my Equinox. It is a 2014 with 112K miles on it and has been perfect until now. I drove it yesterday and got out of the vehicle then went to the back. I noticed a long trail of oil up to the car. I immediately looked under the front and there was a pool of oil under it. I had it towed to a full service repair shop. They informed me that it is a KNOWN issue of GM that the PCV freezes due to moisture in the engine which causes pressure and blew out the rear engine oil seal. The vehicle was towed to the local Chevy dealer who confirmed the same. They also said that MY VIN # was not covered under warranty and that it will be a $1,600.00 repair. There are numerous complaints of the exact same scenario all over the internet.

Just quit while cruising along on my way to work. Now GM is replacing the engine with a reman but said my starter went out too and that isnt covered under the powertrain warranty and will cost $630. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GM vehicle. Never. Engine replacement at 50K miles and I have to pay $650 and pay for my own car rental!? They should put in a NEW engine, starter and provide a loaner for free!!! Not happy with my lemon at all.

I purchased a 2014 2500HD Silverado about 2 years ago from a dealership in Illinois. After owning at least 15 GM vehicles over the last 35 years this truck was shaping up to be my all time favorite. I took the truck into the dealership on November 5th 2017 for a check engine light. I was told by the dealership that there were multiple codes and was told several items needed to be replaced including the DEF tank heater due to it shorting out in the tank. Several other items were also replaced but all were covered under warranty. I expected to get my truck back within a short period of time. It is now January 16 2018 and I still dont have my truck back. I am being told that it has a bad ECM, also covered under the warranty but there are no replacement parts available. The dealership told me that 175 shipped from the supplier on Dec. 11th but I did not get one for my truck.I was then told it may be mid-March until the part would be available. That will be over 4 months to get warranty items fixed on my truck. I was told that the part is no longer manufactured and due to a design change in 2015 the new version will not work in my 2014. Just as recent as 2 weeks ago I was told by the dealership that 200 more ECMs were manufactured over the Christmas holiday but the dealership could not confirm that they would be getting one of them for my truck.Considering its now 3 weeks past the Christmas holiday and I still dont have my truck back my guess is that I will not be getting one of the 200 that were shipped out. All total thats 375 ECMs that have shipped since December 11th. Are there that many GM vehicle owners that are waiting for this part and dont have their vehicle? Why are they unable to provide the dealership with a firm date as to when they will get this part? How can it take till mid-March, which is also not a confirmed date.I have contacted 2 different GM customer service reps. providing them all the information I just mentioned and then some. Each of the reps. contacted me within a few days only to tell me that the issue has been escalated to the highest priority level and I need to continue to work with the dealership that has my truck and there was nothing more they could do. What is the point of having a 5 year 100,000 mile power-train warranty if parts are not available to fix the warrantied problem? My issue is with GM not being able to support the products they sell and have covered under warranty. This entire ordeal has made me very skeptical on the reliability of the newer Chevy trucks.What about the months the dealership has my truck? Will that time get added back to my 5 year warranty period? Im concerned about what happens when the warranty runs out and these parts fail. How much is it going to cost me then? Considering the amount of money I paid for this truck I expected better service than this. Does GM really think I want to put myself in a position like this again by buying another one of their vehicles? It has me torn because I have been a die hard GM fan all my life and now need to consider looking at other manufacturers for my next truck purchase. I just want my truck back.

I called the dealership and they said its out of warranty and there was nothing they could do. So I called GM Customer service as I had done many times in the past and they always corrected the problem. I guess times have changed. They didnt care to help me at all. All they could say was no and talk down to me and belittle me. I have owned GM cars almost all of my life and never experienced this lack of caring ever before. GM does not stand behind the products they make. They used to but not anymore. I will never purchase a GM car ever again because of this experience. They dont stand behind the design flaws anymore. GM has turned into a SCUM BAG company. They have very poor long term quality and they dont care. What a SCUM BAG company. Guess its time to give the Germans a chance. My 2015 Silverado 1500 broke down with 39,000 Miles on it. I had it towed to a Chevrolet Dealership. When they looked at it they told me it was the Fuel Injector on cylinder 6 that was faulty. Because it was out of the 3 year/36,000 Mile warranty I would have to pay for it myself. I told them I understood and would pay for it since it was out of warranty. They then told me that since the vehicle was apart that I should replace the Fuel Rail and ALL the other Fuel injectors on that side in case they were bad too. I didnt think it sounded right, but since I brought it right to the dealer I figured I should trust their opinion. I replaced everything they said which came out to $1,300. Mind you this is a truck with 39,000 miles on it. It gets worse. Once they put it back together they told me it still wasnt running right. They kept trying to figure out what was wrong with the vehicle because they couldnt figure it out originally. After they replaced the fuel injector they told me it wasnt working again. They then replaced the pushers, still wasnt working properly. After that they decided they needed to call the GM Engineers to figure it out. Once they were called they found out that the entire cylinder needed to be replaced. It took them 3 times putting it back together totaling 2 weeks without me having a vehicle to figure it out. Im not even blaming the dealership because I can understand that things happen. My real problem is with GM themselves because I called them after this all happened to explain the situation. I got in touch with a woman named Sandra. I was explaining to her that I should not be liable for the fuel injectors seeing as they obviously let go due to the issues that happened from the warrantied parts. She took almost two weeks to come to the conclusion that even though I did fuel injector cleaners with all my oil changes that it was still me that should be on the hook for all the repairs, even the fuel injectors that never needed to be replaced at all! I told her that I can even understand replacing the one that was bad, even though that it was done based on a poor diagnostics. In all reality had they fixed the problems in the motor first I would have never paid for the fuel injectors. It seems to me that they brought up the fuel injectors first just so they could charge me for them and then say that there are other problems that need to be addressed. She wanted to give me a $100 Chevrolet service coupon! Really?! I now have a truck with an extensive amount of motor work done on it with 39,000 miles. This is how GM backs their vehicles? Disgusting, that is all I can say about my experience with GM to this point.

I purchased a 2014 Chevy Equinox on 7/3/14, and traded in my 2012 Equinox for it. I loved my 2012 and wanted to upgrade from the 4 cyl. to the 6 cyl. Since the purchase date, I have had it in the shop 4 times for the same problem. 3 were with one dealership, the other one with another place to get another opinion. My complaint has been with the steering. It feels loose and non-responsive, and I also experience a terrible groaning noise and vibration at low speeds when making turns, backing out of my driveway, or trying to make normal parking lot maneuvers.On the first visit, they said a bulletin indicated a replacement of the alternator and a hose was necessary to quiet the groaning noise and vibration, so they had to order the parts and they sent me on the way. Within a few days the car was back in, to have those parts replaced. Needless to say that did not remedy the problem. After a short time passed, I took it back in complaining of the same problem. I have argued with the service departments, and begged them to just start changing parts to try and eliminate the issue. They have checked the steering pump, the hoses, the steering rack etc. and always say they cannot find a problem. It was suggested after the 2nd time in the shop, to contact GM customer service to get them involved. So I did. I explained the issue, was told someone would contact me in 24-48 hours, and needless to say, no one contacted me back at that point.For the 3rd visit, I took it to another dealership. Its amazing how everyone can hear the noise and feel the shutter in the steering but each time since the first visit, I get the same story about nothing being wrong. The dealerships say they cant just simply switch out parts that arent defective to try to remedy the steering looseness and the groaning noise. They can only do what GM allows them to do.Before making yet another call to GM and to ensure that I wasnt crazy, I decided to test drive another model just like mine. I did not encounter the same problems in the one I test drove, like I do with my own. And, for yet another opinion, I contacted a family member who also has the same model year as mine, and again she confirmed her vehicle does not have the same issues, but does indeed have its own set of issues with the A/C and safety warning systems.Since nothing came from my 3rd visit, and I could at least challenge that the issues with my vehicle are not normal cause it doesnt happen with others, I made another call to GM, this was 8/27/14. Again I was told my issue would escalated and someone would call me back. I also stopped in to the dealership again, and said I was bringing the vehicle back in, and the noise and shutter were getting worse. They scheduled my appointment for 9/3/14. On 8/28/14 I received a call back from Cecelia. I have never experienced someone so short spoken, heartless and condescending. I argued every point I could with her. Recalling the issues in detail, the conversations I have had with the dealerships, the fact that they say parts cant be replaced unless defective because GM wont let them, the fact that other vehicles like mine do not have the same issue etc. Cecelias response was simple and short You have an appointment with the dealership on 9/3 to diagnose your vehicle. There is nothing else we can do. She didnt care at all about the matter.I dont know how much more effectively I could have communicated that diagnosing the vehicle had been attempted and that I was asking for someone to take ownership in the repair needs and let the dealership start replacing parts. In the end, Cecelia said I am closing your case, and I said that they would hear from my attorney and the media, and she hung up.Today is 9/4/14, and needless to say, I once again got the call from the service dept. saying nothing is wrong, and that they are sorry they cant do anything to help me. On Monday, when the dealership owner returns, I will be working with him to get out of this vehicle and either back into my old Equinox, which they still have and I know I can trust, or finding an entirely different car. I am deeply saddened that I had to experience this trouble. I thought for sure one Equinox to the next, I would love the vehicle the same.I think GM needs to fire Cecelia. I saw another post from someone else complaining about her too. Perhaps she can only do so much, but for her to not even pretend to care about the safety of me and my family (or anyone elses) is inexcusable and makes GM looks even worse.

After taking in to find the cause and have it remedied we were told it needed to be detailed before anyone felt safe getting in it to work. They told us we needed to approve the detailing for them to move forward but not to worry because we most likely would not be charged since it leaked. The next day they called saying it that the mold had been cleaned and that we needed to come pick it up and pay $200!!! A car with mold is NOT fixed with a rag! BAIT and SWITCH! This is an attempt to put the responsibility on us. They even had the nerve to suggest we must have left the windows down in the middle of winter in Washington! Or that my husband left his wet swim trunks ??? (again, winter in Washington!) in the backseat of his commuter car! That did not happen. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. We have been loyal GM customers. I own a GMC Yukon and were in the market for a Sierra pickup, but will never buy another vehicle from them and will not be able to recommend in the future like I have in the past. Instead I will tell people our horror story. GM should be ashamed! This is why companies like Amazon are thriving - because they take care of their customers. Maybe other companies should take notice before theyre obsolete.

My dealership attempted to assist me in filing a claim with GMC warranty department regarding my rims peeling. My bumper to bumper warranty expired a few hundred miles ago. I only have 36,000 miles on my vehicle and I havent even owned it for two years. GMC is attempting to state that I used harsh cleaner and will be responsible for replacing the rims. My dealership doesnt agree and believes it is a manufacturing defect.I researched the internet and found that many people have had the same issue. Those that still had a warranty were able to get them replaced but those that reported it after the warranty period were denied. Carla with GMC warranty was very rude and disrespectful. I asked to speak to management or another person and she stated rudely I am the final decision. Is this really how you treat your customers? While fighting this issue my gear shifter went out in my vehicle. This vehicle has more issues than my Toyota ever had with 75,000 miles on it! I do not recommend the 2017 Arcadia Denali to anyone.

GM customer care and service department are awful. On May 20th, I purchased a 2016 Camaro 2SS with 2700 miles on it. By May 30th it was acting up and in the shop for warranty work. It is now June 16th, and the dealership still has my car. And that is GMs fault. After a week the dealership was stumped and began requesting assistance from GM. After two weeks of still being stumped, the dealership began requesting a field engineer, since they had not been able to diagnose the issue in over two weeks. GM will not give them an answer.Its a less than one year old car with 2700 miles on it and its been in the shop now for three weeks straight and counting, dont you think at this point its an issue worth expediting? Its not an old car. It has very low mileage and should not have any issues. Its an almost $50,000 car for goodness sake. But in GM fashion they wont move until my attorney contacts them about a lemon law suit, and a civil suit for car payments, registration, taxes, loss of use, and being overall terrible to work with. Oh well, I guess GM doesnt care about another lemon on their record and another lawsuit lost.

(Too long to begin with but whatever). So I pay at the dealership Brett Chevrolet in Saint John NB and I waited. After two weeks I call and Im told its still not ready. I call a few more times still nothing and yesterday July 11 their business department tells me they have the papers and now have to send them to motor vehicle and that it will be ready in a day or two. So again I wait. I decided to call today and check and the original guy is now on vacation and a different fella tells me they just got the paperwork from GM today and he will send it tomorrow and theres nothing I can do to speed it up. Needless to say its difficult to purchase a vehicle from them or rather get a registration from them for the vehicle that you purchased. The whole inter-departmental finger pointing dont work for me and GM needs to get their .... together on making these processes run smoother. I mean, I cant even legally drive a truck I bought almost a month ago because I dont have a registration, really?

2015 Silverado 1500 with 5.3 bought with 76k miles from dealership in Jan 2017. Got it home to find it needed rear struts after hearing a squeaking sound. I love the truck but it’s financed so I have no choice but to keep repairing the things that go wrong. In less than 120k miles it got: rear struts, AC lines and condenser, and an ENGINE. Yes an entire replacement engine due to spinning a lifter and wiping out the cam leaving debris throughout the engine. No wonder there are so many used engines available. Plastic lifter guides, cheap terrible design. Wife and I were looking to upgrade her Cruze (which also got a new transmission at 87k miles) with a new Blazer. Between both our GM vehicles and the tons spent to repair them we went with the Nissan Murano instead. I have always been a die hard Chevy guy but I will never buy another new one as long as I live.

We walked into one of the dealerships to check out the new Cadillacs and the new Chevys and have an idea about the cars. When I walked into the dealership, I sat in the back of one of their cars and when I tried to get out, I couldnt. After that, the sales person at the Cadillac dealership approached us and I was disgusted by her attitude. We talked about leasing an SRX and she told us she would like to get us into a 2013 SRX. The car that we brought in had less than 8,000 miles on it. She offered to appraise the vehicle, but to our surprise, she came back with a high lease payment with high down payment for a 2013 SRX even when all incentives and discounts were applied to it. I was even more disgusted by her and her attitude. After that, we left. Personally, I would never do business with a dealership like that, and you would think that we would be treated better given the fact that we have been loyal customers with GM for 21 years.

Avalanche (08) door locks - The four door locks on my Avalanche have failed. The 1st was repaired at a cost of $150ish. The 2nd repair was free and we were told Chevy was having lots of problems with the looks so there would be no charge. The other two door locks failed but today I was charged $350ish for the repairs. Four locks failing on the same vehicle has to be a quality issue that should be subject to a recall. I know other owners that are having the same issue with their door locks. This just seems like a quality problem that Chevy should recognize and address.

GM extended the warranty on this problem engine for the Cadillacs and the GMC Acadia to 10 years BUT will not cover the CHEVY Equinox for the same problem. They said there is not enough of these SUVs with this problem. Sent 2 emails to GM Priority Care - no response in a week. Called and got one of their experts - said they would contact my dealer. 4 days later they never contacted dealer. JUNK PRODUCT. JUNK SERVICE. What a Joke. Anything they can do to save a buck.

Tedd Britt Chevrolet (Sterling, VA) and General Motors has given me the run around. They have shown gross negligence by refusing to replace my newly purchased 2020 Silverado 1500. I have been tossed around from manager to manager, from advisor to advisor. Nobody wants to be the one caught with the customer (me) in a potential lawsuit:I have put less than 15,000 miles on the vehicle, hardly owned six months. First owner. The vehicle has been in FIVE TIMES for various electrical issues including brake system failures (x3), and most recently the vehicle shut off while I was traveling +60mph. I fear for my safety. See attached invoice photos. Their staff sees you as a number - a price tag. Their “Customer Experience Manager” did not even look at me, he talked over me, and downright refused to help me - would not even give me the customer service phone number. He said it was not his problem. Incredible. Don’t waste your time, or your safety. Buy a Ford.

I purchased a certified used 2016 Chevrolet Malibu in March 2017 that was still under factory and powertrain warranty. My vehicle has been in the shop over 11 times since then with 8 of the repairs pertaining to the transmission. The vehicle has almost because multiple accidents on the interstate, caused me to miss a flight, caused me to be stranded in a variety of cities on multiple occasions where I have had to book hotel rooms and spend unnecessary money.I have had a new engine put in my car, my transmission has been repaired twice, rebuilt twice, and replaced once, among many other minor repairs. On May 11th, my vehicle broke down on the highway while I was on my way to my college graduation. I was stranded 3 hours from my home and 2 hours from my destination. It was towed to the Orange Park Chevrolet Dealership where it remained until today, June 6th for another transmission issue. A case was opened for me with the GM Business Resource Center and Daniel was my case manager. After 1 week of my car being in the shop, I was presented with 2 offers. They would do an equal trade or buy my vehicle back. Of course there are calculations involved and I was told I would be charged a usage fee for the mileage that I have put on the vehicle, but Daniel could not know the figures yet. He asked me to fax both the service receipts for all of my repairs and my buyer’s agreement. I obliged and confirmed via VM that I had sent everything he had requested.He then called me back a week later to ask if I had a chance to send the paperwork. Once I told him I had done so last week he said he must have overlooked it and confirmed her now had it in front of him and would calculate everything. He also requested a copy of my registration. I told him that my registration was located in my vehicle that was 3 hours away. I suggested we contact the dealership that it was at and have them fax it to him. He said he would call them. The next day, the dealership called me to tell me my vehicle was ready for pickup and that they needed their loaner back. I was shocked, because I was under the impression that I would not be placed back into a faulty and dangerous vehicle. I called Daniel and could not get a hold of him, so I spoke to a supervisor. She told me I had to return the loaner and that my vehicle would still be eligible for repurchase, but that the entire process takes a few weeks. When I asked her what would happen if I break down again or crash during my 3 hour commute home, she said she would “cross her fingers and hope for the best”.On Tuesday, June 5th, Daniel called me to tell me that the buyer’s agreement I sent him on May 24th did not match their system. He couldn’t tell me exactly what did not match, but that they need to get the paperwork from the dealership I purchased it from. Daniel and I got into a heated debate about him sending me to collect all types of paperwork, yet he wasn’t doing his part. He continued to talk over me and blame me because I had not gotten him the registration even though he knew I could not. I mentioned that I should get an attorney and we were disconnected.I picked my vehicle up today, June 7th. Upon pickup, I realized my entire backseat, back floor, and trunk was full of mold. The dealership said I must have had a leak, but it is not their fault. They did add it to the comments on my repair order, but would not do anything about it. I had to drive home for 3 hours in the Florida heat with my windows down because the mold was burning my eyes, throat, and nose.I called GM today, June 7th to request that the mold issue be notated on my case and I was informed that Daniel closed my case on June 6th because I have an attorney. I never once said I was being legally represented nor did I request or agree to the case closure. My case is currently in the legal dept. Why would it be closed? Also, why would a supervisor not call me back. Daniel and I cannot communicate effectively and a supervisor should have stepped in. Your employees shouldn’t speak or blame their customers as he did me. Especially when I have been more than accommodating to all of his requests. As I was on the phone with a GM rep, my engine light came back on. So now my car is again shifting hard, the engine light is back on, and my vehicle is molded out.I have been requesting to speak to a supervisor in the legal department other than Daniel since Tuesday to no avail. This entire ordeal has been pure hell, from purchase to current. My car is in the shop on average, every 1k miles. The repairs have been in the thousands. I still have 35k miles of powertrain warranty. Wouldn’t it be a smarter business choice to just settle this case as they have already put more into my car than it is worth and will continue to have to repair anything powertrain related? As a corporation, why do they feel comfortable treating their customers this way?

Bought a 2020 Chevy Silverado from Rountree Moore Chevy in Lake City Florida May 2020. At 600 miles truck would not start. Sent to dealer, they cleared the computer, sent me on my way. 3-400 miles later did the same thing. Truck came back and they kept the truck for 30+ days waiting on a fuel part. Truck was fixed and got it back in July. November 30 truck did the same thing, would not start, just turns over. Took truck back asked for a buy back (same part broke) or new truck. Dealer told me to call GM, start a claim. I did right then. Just received a call from GM corporate denying the claim saying the dealer has to start a technical claim. Tried to 3 way the dealer in to get all on the same page and the corporate rep hung up during the call. I have been given the runaround from both the dealer and Chevy, Florida laws says this is a lemon, both are trying their best to avoid the situation rather than correct it. Truck has 9000 miles on it, has been in the shop 3 times for the same problem and has been in the shop more than 30 days total. I spent days of my time dealing with it, spent $55,000 and its only 8 months old. Think twice before buying a GM product. I guess I am forced to hire help now. All I can do is share my experience and hope good people learn from it. Thank You.

July 22, 2019, we (Fiance and I) purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado from Crew’s Chevrolet in North Charleston, SC. Within the first few week, we heard a constant thump coming from the rear of the cab. We took it in to the dealership not once, not twice but three times in order for the problem corrected. We were informed by the dealership that we could file a claim with GM so, we did. It has been a pain ever since. Once filing the claim with GM, we were assigned to a Senior Advisor. After a few conversations with the initial Senior Advisor, we found out they were no longer with the company and no one knew anything regarding the status of our claims. A week or so later, we received a phone call from another Senior Advisor, Tori, who was now assigned to our case. From here, I can’t even begin to describe the frustration I have felt. I have gone round for round with Tori regarding what to do, what’s going on and what to even think regarding our thumping with the truck. A civil engineer was sent to the dealership, a ton of sealant was applied and it is still thumping! (NO surprise there). Tori calls every 2 to 3 days to tell me that there is no update regarding our claim. There is an “Internal Resource Team” that apparently has not responded to her since the beginning of January. I have even called the service advisor at the local dealership and she seems to know more about our claim than the Senior Advisor assigned to our case. We are extremely frustrated and just want this to be over. We want our money back for the lemon that was manufactured by GM. We want to move on and not have to deal with the constant frustration with GM, Tori and the 2019 Chevy Silverado sitting in our yard. We have to make our payments while we do not feel safe driving this vehicle and have made that extremely clear. When will we get the answers?

After complying with documents 3 times to Henry and getting little to no help we were turned over to Sean who has only been slightly better. If you ask to speak to his supervisor first he will then call you back, then today being told by Sean that he contacted the Dealership about ordering us a new truck, then checking with that dealership and being read the emails from Sean this was not the case. I was told that we had to find a like truck and send the VIN # which I have but the truck is sold by the time Sean gets around to replying to the emails I send. This whole experience has caused extreme hardship as I need the truck to tow our trailer to Houston for my Husbands cancer treatments and it has been a financial burden driving and paying for Hotels as well as compromising my Husbands health by staying in Hotels, etc. All we want is a truck to replace the Lemon Truck we have so I can keep my Husband safe in our own trailer.

Ive been there over four times and they are completely stumped, one mechanics looked at me as if I should have bought me a Ford. At this time, I would agree. I have a iPhone 12 which cannot connect to my truck and the mechanic and the GMC representative are telling me its my phone but the same phone can connect to another Silverado same year and my brother phone which is the same model as my phone cannot connect to my truck. Under the same breath they say its my phone fault but dont recognize that two iPhone 12 cannot connect to that Silverado and the same 2 hour phone 12 cant connect to another Silverado. And now they basically are asking me to accept the condition of the truck 2020 truck because they dont know what to do to fix it.

All they can do is replace it until you are out of warranty. Then you are left with a car that you cannot get any or fair trade 2000 to wholesale for parts because of engine 3.6 L. This problem is being treated different at dealers. Cadillac will repair timing chain on a 1 on 1 case!!! Not the Chevy Equinox 3.6 L same engine. I guess because they pay more for their car. Anybody buying a used GM with this engine should look at car forums to see how many complaints there are. If GM wont stand behind their product knowing there is a problem is bad business. As a GM Customer for over 12 years, I leased a Cadillac for 4 years and recently leased a 2021 XT6. As I contact Cadillac Novi, to schedule an appointment for my XT6 to come in for service. Due to hearing an unfamiliar noise when I’m accelerating. I was told by the Service Advisor that they have no vehicles for loaners due to the chip shortage. But furthermore I was told that I can go and rent a vehicle at Enterprise or whatever and then contact GM to see if I could be reimbursed. I asked the Service Advisor how come they can’t set me up with Enterprise or a rental company due to them not having vehicles. To make the matters worse, he tells me that it would take at least 5 days before the vehicle will even be diagnosed. As a frustrated customer I asked the Service Advisor as a customer who has a bumper to bumper warranty what if I don’t have the financial income to be able to rent a vehicle at this time. The Service Advisor had nothing to say.At this point it’s clear that GM - Cadillac has nothing in place for customers. It’s very sad and unacceptable on all levels. I’m very disappointed with GM and will not be going back. Having a Bumper to Bumper Warranty is useless and it shows that GM do not honor their product. Anytime a customer have to come out of pocket when they purchased a new vehicle for a peace of mind is unacceptable. The fact that a customer have to call and go through the process of GM lack of production is this chip it seems as it’s a fallback with them. I’m so disappointed and will not be a continue customer. The Service Advisor gave me a phone number that after the prompts it just rings and rings. Then another number that after you press the prompt to #1 it goes to talk to text.

As a consumer you are entitled to a tow and transportation to your home, work, or dealer. As I read in my contract after buying a new car from GM. My new car unfortunately broke down in an extreme way at only 300 miles due to water pump failure and engine overheat. Naturally I cannot drive the car anymore and have to pull over to side of the road and call GM 24 roadside assistance. This breakdown is a bummer, but it happens. Overall the call goes well. I am told a tow truck is on its way as well as a cab to take me home. Sounds fine. Except none of this happens.I call again after over an hour. Apparently there is no record of the tow trucks being sent or the cab. They apologize and resubmit the requests for me. Okay, mistakes happen. Again I wait for a tow and cab, but they never come. I call a third time. Same issue. So my request is resubmitted. I wait again, nothing comes. Its getting near 10pm now. Real bummer for me. Eventually I get a tow truck though. No cab. Reason? Cab cant be located. Weird. I get a cab via my phone app shortly afterward. That was a fun 5 hours.Since my car wasnt picked up till after 10pm, dealers are closed and I could not be given a loaner car (which you are entitled to if your car breaks down under warranty) to take me to work the next day. This is fine though since I am told GM can provide transportation to either the dealer or my work the next morning. Next morning I call GM roadside assistance. They say they will get me a ride to work. They call back 30 minutes later, they cannot provide me a ride to work. I ask for a ride to the dealer. They say okay. They call back 45 minutes later and say they cannot get me a ride to the dealer. I call my local dealer rather than 24 roadside assistance - they come pick me up and provide me with a loaner. Guess I shouldnt rely on promised services from GM directly.Conclusion: GMs 24 roadside assistance has obligations that they failed to meet in my situation. I do not understand why. If something is promised, but not provided, there should be accountability. I have not the time or resources to hold GM accountable, but the fault does not vanish. If GM cannot execute on obligations then they should not be stated to the consumer when vehicle is being purchased. One main reason I purchased a new car was the security of a warranty and assistance from GM if poor car operation became an issue. The car issue happened unfortunately, but GM failed to rise to its promises.GMs problem: big on promises, poor on execution. It was cheaper to screw me then to make good on a promise of service. As one person, what can I reasonably do? How can I reasonably prove lack of service effort on GMs part? GM knows the average consumer has neither the time or awareness on how to stand up for themselves. Thanks GM, you swindled me good. Even after going through bankruptcy, which as I recall we citizens paid for, GM still stutters about on cost savings of value proposition. Thanks US government, you made us pay for it. I bought the car used with only 7000 miles on it in May of 2010. This car is a 2010 Chevrolet HHR. This car has been a NIGHTMARE to own. It has been the most expensive car to date that I have ever had to repair. Right out of the gate, the car had turn signal issues where it would not shut off. They repaired. Then it was the front wheel bearings which ironically they do not consider to be part of the Drive Train Warranty so I replaced both of these out of pocket. The car immediately afterwards required 2 new rear shocks at 40 thousand miles and then the front struts replaced again out of pocket at 45 thousand.Front discs needed replaced because they put in soft metal for the brake discs. Driving down the road, the car was fine, get to a red light and the car start sputtering and jumping and acting like it was going to die. Take it in and the dealership tells me that the codes state that they have to replace all the cam shaft sensors in the car since they have no way to diagnose which one is going bad and it was going to cost me 600 to do the work with 4 hours labor. Went online and lo and behold there is a video on just this issue and how to fix it. I bought the parts for $152.00 and 20 minutes under the hood closed it and started my car, Voila fixed. Why was it 600 dollars to fix with 4 hours labor when a peon like me can do it in 20 minutes. I can tell you why GM has to pay for the RECALLS somehow. I then one day went out to my car started it up and heard a loud bang and then the front end started jumping up and down. The cooling fan came on when I turned on the AC and broke a blade off. Again the dealership wanted almost 500.00 dollars to replace. Went to the trusted internet and there is the repair on video. Bought the cooling fan for 70 bucks and 1 hour of my time later, I had the old one out and new one in. The power window switches have gone out. The speakers on the radio come in and out whenever they want to work. Next thing that went out on, the car the Fuel Lines. Drove home and smelled gas, kept smelling it off and on for several weeks before it finally became evident that it was happening as it was running down my carport and eating the paint off the drive. I told the dealership and guess what? DING DING DING, 780 dollars to repair, not trusting myself with this repair. I contacted my mechanic that quoted me 360 dollars to fix and told me yep, just had another one of those cars in here for the same thing with the same car. He stated that Chevrolet is aware of this and has put out a bulletin on it. Really, you have these cars going down the road as a potential fireball and all you do is put out a bulletin. Just got the car back from GM last night with a repair bill of 1,707 dollars. The car on Saturday 12/12/15 started off with the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) light went off and the front end started groaning and vibrating, I got the car off the highway and shut it off, waited about 15 minutes and started it back up. No Light on so I decided I need to turn around and go home. The check engine light came on and the car lost power and at 60 going down the highway, was running at 5 thousand RPM.I finally limped into the driveway and do research and there are THOUSANDS of these complaints. I take it to GM Dealership with the codes that it was throwing. They call me later that day. The transmission solenoids had gone out and that the wiring harness inside the transmission had start a small leak inside it which most likely was the reason it shorted out the solenoids again. This took them dropping the transmission out of the car and replacing all this. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting the way GM is, they do not care about you or that car you bought. You are a sucker when you buy their product. Now we have not even touched the recalls. This car has gone through 3 ignition switches and a Power Steering motor and an Air Bag recall (not Takata related) they just exploded on their own.I have filed complaint after complaint after complaint to GM to only have them ignored for 2 years. What got them jumping was a complaint to The Better Business Bureau. I spoke to Mary at GM Disputes and took them 4 days to decide that they wanted to give me $1,500 dollar Gift Cert for a New GM Car she called it a Customer Loyalty Certificate. Told her that was very unacceptable that there was no Customer Loyalty when GM Shows no loyalty to their customers. I will see what I can do by contacting a lawyer. This car is the WORST thing to come from Detroit and that is to include the Studabaker because Im sure as ** would take a Studebaker over this car.

Not a happy camper right now at all. Brand new 2017 Chevy Camaro decided earlier this morning it wants, after barely 2 months, to freeze up on my while driving and my steering wheel locked. Could have been in a bad accident, badly hurt and possibly ended up pretty much possibly losing my life. In shock that a brand new car would lose power steering the way my car did while driving this morning.OnStar service that’s provided to me as well was horrible and took over 2 1/2 hrs to reach me while I was stuck in Daytona Florida. Had to pay an additional $190 to have my car towed back to Carl Black in Orlando, the tow truck company didn’t even take my car to the dealership until later on today when he was suppose to take it as soon as he picked it up. I’m disappointed with General Motors to allow me to get a vehicle that has bad mechanical issues likes mine when I had to put a lot of money down to take home a brand new car and it almost feels like it’s used, from the power steering going bad to the car shutting off to the tire pressure issues. I feel like I was almost sold a “lemon” although it looks new.Luis, Rick & Brent, were amazing in making my process easy and trying to calm me down as I was more so worried than anything being a young woman stranded in Daytona Florida all by myself… They all 3 went above and beyond to make sure that I was okay with a loaner, etc. however I think the vehicle that was sold to me should be replaced with a brand spanking new vehicle since we aren’t sure if the vehicle that I currently own will end up freezing up on me again while I am driving it. My 81-year-old mother purchased her Buick from the dealership and returned for just motor oil and a cabin filter service at 34k miles and was sold more service than the automobile needed completed. The total bill should have come to $107.95 but she was sold and charged $657.06 for work that was not required. My mother trusted the service adviser and was misled the car needed service performed that would not be required until 150k miles based on GM standards. I feel Ed Morses service adviser took advantage of an elderly customer that relied on a trusted source for car service similar to relying on a financial adviser for advice.The company policy seems to be to recommend service to unaware elderly people concerned for their cars care and then not to offer customer coupons on their website for a savings. The 2012 Buick is new with only 34,387 miles and the service attendant sold automatic transmission fluid replacement, brake fluid replacement, induction service repair work and tire rotation on 3/31/2016 that when only an oil change was needed. The service attendant did not offer the customer coupons for free tire rotation with purchase of oil, $10 off cabin filter or the spend and save offer for the service performed for $75.Since I help manage my mother with her monthly bills and when I learned of a motor oil and filter charge of $657.06 I was beside myself and went to confront the Service Manager for taking advantage of an elderly lady just needing an oil and filter change. We discussed that the replacement of automatic transmission fluid, brake fluid and induction service was not required and my mom was misled into purchasing these services for a 34k mile car. The service manager affirmed she would be refunded with a check of $189.86 plus a free oil change. My expectation was to be credited $486.76 for work not required for misleading an elderly lady on service. At this time we have not received credit to resolve this issue and expect $486.76.

At that time I put a thousand dollars down to hold the vehicle and signed a contract stating the price will not change unless come November 1 GMC changes any rebates. On November 1st I called my salesman to let him know I was coming in November 2nd to pay cash for the truck and asked for a total amount due including tax and title, which at the time was CONFIRMED as being the AGREED amount when I put money down to hold the truck because the rebates had not changed November 1st by General Motors. When I came in to pay for the truck November 2nd the price had increased over $2400.00 which Dennis Dillon stated GMC had actually taken off some cash back incentive on that particular VIN #... I asked for a meeting to speak with upper management which I could not get for a few days stating he had sent a text of the situation at hand... My salesman said it would not make a difference and the price was not going to adjust and basically either buy it or dont. They sell so many vehicles daily it wont matter what was signed and agreed upon previously because this is General Motors doings and out of Dennis Dillon control. I personally feel my wife and I were mislead and there is some dishonesty involved because when all the rebates were presented to me and my wife at the time of money collected and a signed purchase agreement to hold the truck, never was this hidden GMC rebate EVER discussed nor a factor in the pricing of the vehicle???? So I had GMC accessories installed on the truck before I picked it up and set up the way I wanted it and we still bought the truck!!! Figuring we would get some answers from the dealership later when we reached out or GMC on their survey report which I still have not received?!! It was a horrible experience especially being a Ford consumer switching to General Motors. I have reached out to upper management at Dennis Dillon since the purchase trying to get an honest response to my concerns and I have yet to be contacted back after several attempts, even after filling out their survey they sent for my experience! I would like to see if there is ANYONE at General Motors that can explain this to me as being true or if Dennis Dillon was being dishonest throwing General Motors under the Rug as the bad guy to increase a sale. I am reasonably convinced that GM does not take pride in their work. My 2015 Chevy Equinox has a couple of design flaws that make this obvious. The front bumper is too low and seem intentionally designed to catch on standard parking bumper blocks. Not having key on the rear hatchback prevented me from being able to get my jumper cables out when my battery went dead and the electric locks would not work! The oil filter in an inconvenient location for consumer use. It also requires a special crows foot wrench to remove the filter housing. The electrical system goes haywire when the battery is low. What a nuisance. Try taking pride and does things right. Youll sell more cars!

I have taken the car twice to Suburban Buick GMC of Troy, Michigan and they said GM is aware of the issue but will not repair since it is life threatening. GM has notified all dealers that this is caused by performance brakes that have dust buildup. The service person stated they have had hundreds of complaint across all GM cars that have these performance brakes. I have purchased dozens of GM cars in the past but will consider other car companies in the future. Has anyone experienced this problem with other car manufacturers?

My 2012 Cruze that purchased in FL Dec 2011 had no cruise control. So I had the Dealer install it before the vehicle left the lot. Over a week ago my car started acting weird. It wouldnt go over 38 mph and it would show traction control - say the car was overheating and would go in Idle mode and said it needed to save power. Now I currently live in PA and took it to the closest dealer. The dealership told me that cruise control was installed improperly and needs to be removed because the wiring is spliced and it would cost me $214 with the diagnostic fee and the uninstallation. I was upset at this point because I didnt understand why I would have to pay to have something I paid to have put in uninstalled and I wont have it now? So I then contacted the dealership in FL to see if they would credit me back since the cruise control was put in improperly according to the dealership my car is at currently. From going back and forth and waiting for a call back, I finally got a call back to find out from the FL dealership that it was an aftermarket cruise control that was installed and that the module just needed to be changed and that’s it. So I called the dealership in PA and they said since it’s an aftermarket piece they didnt know that and there is nothing they can do. So I contacted GM and spoke to a rep Lauren there who I have been dealing with over a week to only get NOTHING resolved, and everyone just wants to play the he said she said game and not take responsibility for this and their employees not knowing what they are doing! I am upset and dont know what to do at this point. I am out of a cruise control and now have to pay for their mistake? This just doesnt seem right to me. I am still waiting on a call back from Lauren’s supervisor at GM customer service as well. This is my third car I purchased from this company and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. 2011 GMC Acadia Timing Chain and HORRIBLE GM Customer Service - My parents who are in their 60s and 70s and on a fixed income, life long GM buyers, own a 2011 GM Acadia. The Acadia is only (116) miles outside the Power Train warranty, yes 1 1 6 when the timing chain went out. Now they are looking at a repair bill of nearly $3000 which they do not have to pay. My Mom has spent hours on the phone with GM reps asking for some assistance with the repairs and was told today that the only thing GM could do to help was to offer her a $100 voucher for an oil change, in a vehicle that she cant even drive. My parents are going out of state this weekend for their grandsons high school graduation and are having to borrow a car to make the trip. GM has repeatedly proven that this is of no concern whatsoever to them and they have no intention of honoring their poorly designed product, even though there are hundreds if not thousands of complaints about the Acadia online with this exact same issue. GM will not stand by their product or honor the loyalty of their lifelong customers, yet whenever they are in financial troubles they expect our government dollars to step in and assist them and bail them out. If this auto was out of warranty 10,000 miles I could understand but it is only out of the warranty 116 miles and still only being offered a $100 oil change voucher is a slap in the face.

Oil change was completed on 6-30-2018. As of 11-20-2018, I have still not received my $30 rebate. Every time I call the 844-656-5369 rebate center phone number, I am given another excuse that will delay the distribution by 4 more weeks. There is no regard for customer service or a sense of urgency. This is my second experience with GM Service Rebates with the same results. Numerous calls are required resulting in extended delays. GM should honor distribution of the rebate in the advertised 8 week time frame. If I am lucky this time, I may receive the rebate within 25 weeks. Handling rebates in this way does not provide an incentive to service my Buick at the dealership.

On October 13, 2014, I took my 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to Harbor Chevrolet in Michigan City IN for the ignition recall. Sixteen days later on 29th of October, my car would not start. Key found, not turn. I had the car towed to Sauers Buick GMC in LaPorte IN. I was told the ignition needed to be replaced. $881.00 that cost. Car ran good, but in one week check engine light was back on. Took it back on the 10th of October. This time I was told that it was an emissions problem, and another $49 for a gas cap. I was assured this was the problem, even though I didnt think there was anything wrong with the gas cap. By the 14th, just 4 days later, the Check engine light is back on. I called and again was told to bring the car in. Returned and left car on October 24 for the afternoon. This time I am told its a vent valve leaking that is defective and this is going to cost over $300 dollars to fix. I declined this repair. Enough is enough already. I think each time I take the car in, they will keep finding something wrong...or making something wrong. I feel I am being taken for a ride in my own car, and its not a ride I am enjoying. This all started with that recall, and turned into a $900 ride. And they still want more. I doubt that there is a vent valve leak. I am sick of getting screwed. Highly doubtful I will be buying another GM car if this how they treat customers.

I needed a vehicle as mine had died and I had been looking for a while not finding anything. Now that I found this 2002 Envoy, I love it! This is my first SUV and I have only had it for about a month. It rides nice. There is a lot of room in there and I like being able to sit up high. Its comfortable and the seats have lumbar support. The heat works very well and the radio sounds good too. The only thing I dont like is that it is bright red and also that the clear coat is peeling off on the front passenger side. Also the headlights are kind of cloudy.

I had the code pulled and contacted Ryan **, Service Advisor at Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC, on November 12, 2018 to bring my vehicle for repair of cylinder 2 and 4 on November 17, 2018. By November 15, 2018, driving conditions worsened and I had to take the vehicle earlier than expected to Leith Buick GMC on November 16, 2018. They gave me a loaner to drive while they had my vehicle for service and repair. By November 20, 2018, Ryan ** confirmed the misfire was on cylinder 2 and 4, along with other mechanical issues found. Ryan ** gave me pricing for all of the repairs and we discussed options for a possible trade. He forwarded my information to a sales representative, which whom I met with on November 23, 2018.After deep thought and discussion, I declined to trade down to a 4 door sedan with higher payment and authorized cylinder 2 and 4 to be repaired only. November 28, 2018 the repairs authorized was implemented and paid in full. March 3, 2019 my vehicle began to misfire again. I had the code pulled and found that the misfire was on cylinder 2; one of the same cylinders that Leith repaired November 28, 2018. March 4, 2019 I contacted Ryan ** to discuss the issue and to find out if the parts were refurbished that was put on the cylinders because it did not last.Ryan ** stated they were not refurbished parts, but that they could have been bad. He stated that I could bring the vehicle back to them and they would repair it. I refused to put the vehicle under additional stress to drive over an hour and a half for to have the repairs done again. Ryan stated being that the repairs were under warranty; I could go to any GM dealership to have it repaired that was closest to me. I called three GM dealerships in my area: David Westcott Buick/GMC in Burlington, NC; Flow Buick GMC of Greensboro, NC; and Bill Black Chevrolet of Greensboro, NC. All were busy and stated that they would have to keep the vehicle for at least three days and did not have a loaner available for me to drive to get back and forth to work. So, my only other option was to purchase the parts and have the vehicle repaired by another mechanic.March 7, 2019, I purchased the parts and instructed the mechanic to save the engine ignition coil and spark plug on cylinder 2 so that I could take it back to the dealership. The mechanic repaired what I asked and gave me back the coil and spark plug. To my surprise it was not a Bosch coil. It was an aftermarket part that did not match the invoice. April 10, 2019 I changed cylinder 4 coil and spark plug. I asked the mechanic to again give me back the coil and spark plug. To my surprise cylinder 4 coil was aftermarket as well.April 19, 2019, I took the parts back to Leith Buick GMC. I spoke with Ryan ** about the issue. Ryan ** denied that that they put the parts on the vehicle. He stated that I did not know and they could have come off of cylinder 3 and 5. He berated me with questions on what side of the engine it came off of, left or right. He said the parts they use are Bosch and showed me one as an example, pointing out the difference in the part. That the parts they use have part numbers and the part that I brought back did not. He would not listen to me at all. He kept saying that because I took the vehicle to someone else for repair there was nothing that they could do. I reminded him of our conversation March 4, 2019 and that I tried to do what he said and enlightened him of the outcome from it. He also stated that maybe I brought the parts to him. I told him that I did not bring the parts to them and the only parts that I took to them that they did not put on was the intake cover gasket.Ryan was still not willing to listen to me. He claimed I hollered at him, which I did not. My voice became firmer because he was still insinuating sublimely that I was lying about the parts. I was merely trying to get my point across to him and was getting frustrated because he was not listening to me and insinuating that I was telling an untruth. I told him that I was not a mechanic but I knew what I purchased and had repaired. I told him that I was not going to drive over and hour and a half for a lie. I told him that those were the parts they put on that was taken off and that I wanted a refund.At this point, Ryan ** took the parts from his desk and placed them outside his door onto the sidewalk and told me to get out of his office. I told him that I would leave his office, and he sat back down in his chair. I told him before leaving that he knew they put those parts on my car and that they were no good. He then got up and walked away. I told him that I was going to have an investigation in their place of business to look at their records as he was walking away and then went outside to retrieve the parts placed on the sidewalk. I went back inside the dealership to find Ryan **. He was standing at a window to the billing office. I let him know that I was going to send the parts to the CEO of GM. 4/26/2019, Mailed failed equipment taken off of cylinder #2 and #4 to CEO, Mary Barr of GM. 5/6/2019, Spoke to Matt with GM Executive Office. He confirmed receipt of packaging and letter. He took down all details.5/8/2019, Spoke to Matt again with GM Executive Office. He stated he spoke with the service manager at Leith and the service manager assured him that they only use GM approved parts. The service manager stated that I was shown the parts they use. He stated because I did not take the vehicle back to them it could not be verified by GM that that they actually did it. He stated due to the age and mileage of the vehicle a loaner would not have been made available to me to drive. He stated that because the vehicle had previous owners that the parts could have been put on by them. So from all of the facts Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC was not going to refund my money. I was told that if I had called the 800 number that maybe they could have worked something out. Matt also stated that they would have everything on file if it something more should come of this and that he would now consider the case closed.Matt with GM Executive Office, sided with Leith, their authorized dealership and basically said in not too many words that I was telling an untruth as well. Leith billed me for parts they claim they put on but never did. The parts that came off did not have the part numbers stated on the invoice. In closing, I am highly upset regarding the way I was treated and for the blatant disrespect shown by Ryan **. I feel if I had been a man of any race or a ** woman, he would have shown more respect, patience and listened to me. He would not have insinuated sublimely that I was lying. He would have immediately taken action to resolve the issue and apologized for the error. But because I am a ** woman, he felt he could disrespect me, talk to me any kind of way and sublimely call me a liar. As much as I like my Buick, I have decided to trade it for another make and model, namely their competition. I will not patronize a company that treats their consumers that way and call them liars sublimely.

I purchased a 2013 Chevy avalanche. It has less than 12,000 miles on it. The frame has a rust issue. The wax dipped, undercoating is coming off. There has been a tsb issued by GM about this issue. I took it to my local dealer over 7 weeks ago. I have been around and around. I have also called GM consumer affairs several times. They are useless. The regional rep looked at pictures of my truck taken by the body shop manager at Harry Green Chevy. They called me and said they had a solution to bring my truck in on a Monday. I did and waited for a week, drove by dealer the following Sunday. I found my truck out behind the dealer unlocked and NO work had been done. They were suppose to dismantle the entire truck and powder coat the frame. The body shop manager said regional manager oked the work. After finally talking to the regional guy, I found the body shop manager was lying. I was told my truck would be fixed. But they did not know how or when. I was told they would call me on Monday. That was over a week and a half ago. I have heard nothing. The rust is so severe I do not feel safe in the truck. I do not want to put my family or my employees in the truck for the fear of failure. I expressed this concern to the body shop manager and regional manager Rich **, he said it was safe even though he had never seen my truck - only pictures of it. I need resolution ASAP. I told ** I need a vehicle to drive until he decides what the solution is. Because my family does not feel safe in the truck. He laughed and he refused the rental. How I was on the phone with ** and talking to the body shop manager. The conversation was getting heated. The owner of the dealership Mr Green was in the same room. Never asked what the issue was, how he help nothing. He was talking to contractor doing remodeling. He was even trying to talk over our conversation. This dealership does not represent GM very well. I have called the service manager 5 times, still have never heard a thing from him in the last 6 weeks. I have even went to dealer three time to talk to him - he is never around. His name Byrd. I need this issue resolved. I need a rental or a dealer loaner until they find a solution. Or just pay me the sticker price for my truck, I will go else where. Please respond.

It was definitely an informative visit in March 2021 at Starling Chevrolet in Mount Pleasant SC - this is about a GM warranty issue! Apparently GM uses parts that that do not work well for very long based on this event. Another customer brought in her car because of a noise it makes all the time. Her service advisor told her even if it was still under warranty, GM would not replace the part because the part was still working! Well, it wasnt working correctly, and obviously if it is now noisy, which the mechanic had verified it was, it was certainly not well and just when might it get worse?? I was very angry about this because my older GM car was in there for service and repair and I expect to buy a new car in the next three months, and this would certainly eliminate all the GM cars from my list. I went to the showroom receptionist and asked to see the general manager or sales manager to express my opinion about the policy and let them know it had cost them my sale, but neither of them was available - she tried to reach them by phone but was also unsuccessful. After I went home, I called again to see if either was available and was told no, then I asked for the corporate office phone number and she said she didnt have it. So that left me to file this information online to try to warn others of this warranty policy before they buy a Chevy or Buick or Cadillac or any other GM truck or car or other vehicle in case it matters to them if GM wont replace a part making noises when wearing out even if under warranty because they consider the part as working. Shouldnt it have to be working right???

Horrible knocking of the motor. Found out May 8th there is a class action lawsuit against GM for piston wear, causes excessive oil use and knocking. I am within the mileage for repairs at no cost, but they have escaped repairing my vehicle due to the fact they did not send my letter sooner! Now I have a 4000.00 bill! I had planned on purchasing GM again. But never will I never. Ive had 3 recalls and damaged motor due to their production. They do not back their product. This should be handled by them. Please do not purchase GM. They do not take care of their buyers. If I had received my letter sooner It would be covered. Because of them I have a broken car, I have to fix.

Any Visa card I have ever had does not expire until the money is used. They said this money is prepaid to Visa so Im guessing when the card expired, they got the money back from Visa and put in their account as the women I talked to refused to answer the question as to where the money went, so I guess they actually stole $648 from me, as if we dont pay enough for their vehicles to start with. They had it for 5 months. I know that the strike was there. Strike been over now. Theyre saying that they dont make this part that is not under warranty. I havent done anything. Im going to go public and Im going to talk to anybody I have to, my car is only 5 years old And youre already not making parts for my car. I have an Impala. 1998 GMC Jimmy SLE 4x4 has automatic locks and windows and child safety. The truck area has extra space. You can put the space under truck and can fit quite bit on truck. Good name and run good. Easy to fix if something goes wrong. Truck has 4x4 drive, keypad alarm, and fog lights. Seats are automated. Its very easy to drive. It has back windshield wipers. Inside lights and brakes work great. Its good on gas. The truck lets us know if we need to check any kind of gadgets and lets us know gas and the mileage. It is very easy to handle and very easy to drive and fix. It can fit five people. Usually it has two adults, three kids in car seats in truck. Its comfortable to take it in long rides most of the dang time. It does good in the rain as long as you check the air in tires. Check everything else before you go out and about... And we can open the back to sit or even camp out or to sit by fire or go to park or even go through drive in. We can open back and lay back to watch the movie at the drive in. We like it very much cause of the room and what it has. Love it in every way. Best truck I ever got.

I purchased a 2010 GMC Terrain 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. I have had to take it to the dealer numerous times to get the engine repaired as well as the transmission. I found the car to be unreliable and because of the frequent break downs, I have had to miss work and deal with the inconvenience of renting a vehicle. The last time I was there, they recommend that I speak to someone regarding the vehicle exchange program. They assured me that they would be able to help me get out of this vehicle and into something more reliable. I knew going in that I would probably have to extend the duration of my current loan. Unfortunately when I spoke to the sales manager, their way of helping me was to get me into a new Terrain with a brand new loan of 6 years and an interest rate of 3.6%. How is this helping me? The only reason why I was even considering the exchange was because the car that they sold me is not reliable - AKA lemon! I am sure that the dealership has better incentives than what they were trying to offer me. I do not believe GMC cares about their customers. I was willing to purchase the car with the same payment I have now, but I only wanted a 4 year loan. They were unwilling to help. Why would I want to purchase a car from GMC ever again after the kind of service I got? If I am going to start from scratch, I might as well go to another brand of car. The sales staff at GMC Cerritos were not understanding of my situation and were very condescending. Thank you.

Purchased my car in late 2011. Battery went bad December 2012. They replaced the battery - supposedly with a new 48-month A/C delco battery. This morning I come out to a dead battery. I called to find out if they will replace it since obviously its not even 24 months and this thing is dead. No. The manager will not honor the warranty on the battery because it was installed during my warranty under the bumper to bumper. How convenient. Upon closer inspection, the battery does not have a date, which leads me to believe that they installed either an old battery or just did not even install one at all. Manager told me that if you have a battery installed UNDER THE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY, it voids the batterys warranty. Does this make sense to anyone????? Sure doesnt to me. Like I said, I have a feeling they put an old used battery in my car.

I left work early one day to get my oil changed, a recall issue, and 2 other issues taken care of with my vehicle at Clay Cooley Chevrolet in Irving, TX. I was there for a total of 5 hours, not including the hour it took me to get home in traffic. When I left the dealership, the only thing that had been done to my vehicle, was a car wash. I asked to speak to someone in corporate... they gave me a sales guy, who in turn gave me a 1/4 tank of gas like that was supposed to make up for the time that was now gone from work day. I called to speak to the General Manager, and when he answered the phone he was already rude. By the end of the conversation, he spoke to me as if I was seeking money, and told me to have a nice life and dont come back to Clay Cooley Chevrolet EVER. I couldnt believe it. To this day, thinking about the way I was talked to and treated, brings me to tears. I work so hard for everything I have and feel I should have been treated with much more respect, but that didnt happen. I contacted GM for assistance, and my call was escalated. I spoke with someone who advised me the situation would definitely be handled and the staff at Clay Cooley Chevrolet would be reprimanded for their actions towards me. She also told me I could expect a phone call from Clay Cooley apologizing for the way I was treated... HA HA, that was a joke. Absolutely NOTHING happened! My vehicle has not been fixed, and my key is still getting stuck in the ignition. Went to Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson, TX and had my oil changed at least... got my car back and there are huge dirty, oily hand prints on my hood and my trunk. I am going to sell this vehicle that I once loved and was so excited about owning. I want no parts of Chevy or GM if this is what I have to look forward to.

I purchased a 2006 Impala with 160,000 miles in 2011. Recently, I have been getting a Service Traction Control on my dash, as well as a Reduced Speed/Low Oil pressure message. When this happens, my car will not increase speed and it has little to no power at all. When this happened the first time, I drove directly to Bale Chevrolet here in Little Rock, Arkansas. I left my vehicle and warranty information with the service department. I received a call a day later telling me it isnt covered under warranty and isnt a recall issue. Mind you, I have read hundreds of post with Impala drivers saying the exact same thing; just something out of the blue happened on their car. The representative told me my car would cost over $400.00. I agreed to pay it. At that time, I felt good about Bale Chevrolet being able to fix the issue. Why not? I bought a 20003 Impala from them in 2004. I went and paid for it. Mind you that this was on 4/25/13; I am writing this on 5/16/13. So, I get in my car on lunch yesterday and my check engine light is on. Then later, when I had got off the Service Traction Control light error, the Low Oil pressure lights are right back on; and my car is doing the exact same thing it had done in April before it had been alleged to have been repaired. When this happened again this morning, my child was riding with me. I made a left turn and was almost side swiped because my car wouldnt accelerate at all. I called the Service Department at Bale and was told they will look at it and it may be a multiple issue problem. I had my car fully diagnosed back in April, so if it was a multiple issues thing, those multiple issues shouldve been addressed before allowing me to leave with a patched up car. He also told me I would be responsible for any new parts pertaining to the Service Traction/Low Oil Pressure issues. Also, I was told that I will have to wait until Monday before anybody can look at the car. Ive already paid for the repairs which werent done properly and now I have to wait 2 days before it can even be looked at. It is sad (me and my family are long time Chevy buyers) to be treated like this at a lot where Ive bought more than one car; to be told get in line and wait after my car when it wasnt fixed properly the first time. I am 100% sure that I, nor my immediate family, will ever purchase another Chevy car or truck as long as I live. This is from a company that my tax dollars helped to bail out. I still purchased from them to now be treated like a number. I almost had my car totaled out because of issues that should be a recall in the first place. Second, I paid to have it fixed. I know this email won’t be responded to, but I hope others will read and strongly consider not purchasing a GM vehicle at all. I will be trading my poor Impala for a Honda as soon as I have money to pay Bale Chevrolet a second time to fix what shouldve been fixed in April. Google Bale and you will see all the complaints about them having to fix the same problems two to three times, with the customer ending up paying more and more just to get something that shouldve been correctly diagnosed and fixed the first time.

GM has a major design flaw in the 2.4 ltr engine. They have issued a TSB 14882 to extend the warranty to 10 yr 120,000 miles on a few series of motors for the stated problems. They are refusing to cover the other series of 2.4 engines that are experiencing the same issues with the explanation that they have not seen this issue in the engines not listed. But if you look on the web you will see hundreds upon hundreds of customers who are left with major engine repair bills for a known issue on the 2.4 ltr engine.

I was covered for 120,000 but this was a factory problem but GM would not cover this at all. This cost me 10,000 to put a new motor in. All I pulled with this truck once a month I pulled a RV to LA. Was brushed off (should have been the 1st clue). Continued problems with Navigation unit, Radio, Heater, A/C, Infotainment issues; drive train and/or transmission, door handles constantly breaking and the dealership here in Tallahassee could care less. I bought a used Equinox in 2015, it was a 2011 model. I loved the SUV. It was my dream ride, lovely interior. Sound ride. Within a year and half, had to replace the transmission, but I was under warranty. Other issues arose where the repairs came out of my pocket. Recently the car was using excessive amounts of oil. I took it to the Waldorf, MD dealership, found out there was an oil consumption issue, the dealership wanted to charge me 6000 to 8000 to repair or replace the engine. The representative on the phone quoted those prices like I could just dig into my unlimited funds and pay this amount. Apparently the assumption is that we all had reams of money laying around to spend. Apparently, the car had a warranty for this issue which expired at 120,000 miles or 7 years.The SUV only had 98,000 miles, but unfortunately for me the clock started on the 7 years the day it was put in the showroom, and not the day I bought it. I reached out to GM and was informed the best they would offer me is 10 percent off the repair work. In the meantime I looked up my issue, and found GM had agreed to settle a lawsuit dealing with this issue, but the suit had not been finalized as of my complaint 10/7/2019. Its, shameful that a company as big as GM, who touts its reputation on producing top notch cars/SUVs and providing excellent customer service, would basically say 10 percent is the best I can do, when there is an outstanding lawsuit. Way to go GMs, you should be proud of yourselves.

Own a 2011 Chevy Malibu and it started acting weird in late February 2016. Finally it just about stopped on the road so I called the dealership. He looked up my car (because I had been there before for service and a recall) and informed me my PowerTrain warranty was already expired. Mind you this wasnt even what I was asking about - I wanted to know if I could bring the car in to be looked at. So immediately it was off-putting. After he told me it was expired, he said they were extremely busy and I could try to bring it in but no guarantees. Well, since he was such a gentleman I obviously said no thanks and hung up. If my warranty is expired, its common knowledge that dealerships are more expensive so I figured I would take it to a local mechanic instead. Turns out the transmission needed a rebuild. It was completely shot. We are already living paycheck to paycheck so I immediately started to panic.Googling how much a repair like this costs and I was terrified... thousands of dollars. Either way, it had to be done because that is my only form of transportation. After a couple different mechanics looking at it, we settled on a mechanic in our town that specializes in transmissions. Got it fixed and it was a little over $3000. Not sure what possessed me to log in to the General Motors website, but I decided to just to see if there was anything out there as far as the transmissions on these particular cars. I had been reading up online and apparently transmission issues are very common in the model I have.After I entered my VIN, I saw that my Powertrain had NOT been expired as of the day I called for an appointment. It actually still had a full 24 hours on it! Cutting it close, but nonetheless! Either the service rep LIED because they were busy and he didnt want to deal with me or he just couldnt read a calendar. Either way, I have been screwed by GM and Paul Masse Chevrolet in East Providence, Rhode Island. Have been battling with GM Customer Service and all they can tell me is that dealerships are privately owned and they would like to offer me a year of SiriusXM or OnStar for my troubles. Im not giving up... The rep I spoke to was so slow to respond to me. Every time she said she would call the next day, and 2-3 days later shed finally call to say she was still working on it and trying to talk to the dealership. So basically I had to pay for their error, and they wont claim responsibility for their employees. It is disgusting.

I have a 2012 GMC Acadia slt fwd. I have had over $12,000 done to this vehicle in just under 2 yrs at this time. Repairs are as follows: Front cover and rear main seal with motor mounts. Cylinder head replace due to oil in the spark plug tubes. All 6 fuel injectors replaced 3 at the dealer and 3 I DID myself. When the dealer DID the 3 they DID not change the oil (fuel was in the oil).After one day of driving the vehicle engine started to knock real bad (That is when I found out that the dealer DID not change the oil and the fuel dried the bearings inside the motor. One of the bearings spun on the cam shaft and put metal shaving in the engine.). New create engine was order the day after I got the vehicle back. The high pressure fuel pump on the engine failed and DID the same thing as the injector DID but DID not put as much fuel in the oil. Now that the vehicle is out of the factory warranty gm does not want to go back to one of the work orders and review the issue I had complained about at one point.The vehicle rpms fluctuate at low speeds between 1-2k rpm. Vehicle has a hard time pulling itself up a hill or on flat ground. The other one is vehicle feels rough until over 2k rpm. When we went to pick the vehicle up when they called us the service writer said that they could not reproduce the concern at that time. I believe the tech really DID not drive the vehicle and find the issue or DID not want to do anything under the factory warranty and that is why they said that.This is the worst I have been treated by a high corporation in not taking car of the customers issues. Now that the vehicle is out of warranty gm cares does not want to have anything to do with me, my wife or even the vehicle. They only care about the vehicles that are still under the warranty. The problem I am having now is that the torque converter is messed up and when the tech drove it in Aug he DID not feel anything due to he DID not drive the vehicle for a long enough time to feel the issue or DID not drive it the way the work order says when it happens.I am very unhappy for the way gm cares handled this issue. I think that they should put me out of the vehicle and put me into something different to keep me buying gm vehicle. If they do not help me I will not buy another one for the rest of my life. And I will make sure gm does not get any more money from me. I used to be all about gm and now I am turning to more like a toyota family instead of a gmc, chevrolet, and buick. I cant take anymore of gm bullcrap at this time. The torque converter from the dealer is around $1,800 for the work and part. I do not have that kind of money floating around like that. Gm just need to fix my vehicle under one of the work orders. Is possible to get it fixed without me having to pay for anything.

Fast forward to August 2019 the vehicle wouldnt go into drive or reverse so I had it towed to Bomnin Chevrolet in Dadeland service department. I have always kept up with my OnStar diagnosis report which never had any major concerns just alerts when we need oil change or minor stuff i.e. tire needs air. The vehicle had no accidents or major repairs ever done to it so Im not understanding how the service department tells me I need to pay $4,600 for new transmission. I called GM customer relations and advised them of this but 2 weeks after all the back and forth no one to this day has resolved anything. Im still being asked to pay my normal monthly truck payment and no one is even hearing my main concern which is if such a new vehicle (2017) needs a transmission it has to be a faulty transmission in the vehicle all along. I kept up with my oil changes, the vehicle never had any accidents or off the market parts placed on it.

I purchased a 2020 Yukon Denali at the end of December 2019. I have purchased a new Yukon or Tahoe every year since 1996. My experiences in the past have been generally great since Im always driving a vehicle with very low mileage and always still under warranty. This 2020 model had only 7000 miles on it when several service lights started to appear on the instrument panel. These included ABS braking system, Stabilitrack, Forward collision system, Cruise control, and Trailer brake system. Any of these can be serious safety issues. I brought it in immediately to my dealer in Branson, Missouri, Pinegar GMC around the first week in July. They checked it out and said it was a faulty module of some sort that controls all those things and they should have the part in a few days. It has been 2 months and they not only still do not have the part but cannot say when it will ever show up. My question is why cant they get one off the assembly line since they are obviously building these cars every day and must need these modules to keep production going? Very poor communication and customer service.

I am SO frustrated with Buick - Shenandoah Motors - and my 2010 Enclave right now!!! Thousands of $ in repairs since September (like in the neighborhood of $6500) - not including the usual oil changes and new tires. Went to pick it up today after a new transmission installation and the car is whining like crazy. Do they even test drive these things before they turn them loose for customers to take out on the road?? This has been an ongoing issue and finally GM Corporate agreed to pay $1111.23 of this most recent repair (not included in OUR $6.5k to date). Now its back in the shop (fortunately we didnt even drive off the lot before we went right back in and said something was wrong - AGAIN). Called GM Corporate but its after 5:00 so my rant will have to wait until tomorrow when they call back. CRAPPY SERVICE @ SHENANDOAH MOTORS.

I am a service manager for a large landscaping company. We have 41 one ton Chevy trucks with 6.0L motors in them. The first year I was here, we have replaced 12 manifolds, bolts and gaskets. I have contacted the dealership GM directly and have been told by them several times that GM has no intentions in fixing or refunding the money for parts, labor, etc. I have talked with several other companies that use the same trucks. They have had the same problem with the same answer. Altogether, we have over Chevy trucks from 3/4 to 1 ton trucks. All I can say is Ford will be getting our business from here on out!

I bought a 2010 Chevy Equinox 2 years ago and in the last 6 months, I have had nothing but issues. In January I had to have my timing belts replaced (under warranty), then in April there was a issue with the motor using too much oil. They had to replace half the motor (which was under a special warranty). Fast forward to last week, the transmission went!!! I took it back to the dealership just to find out that the 5 yr warranty had expired in the beginning of the month (never knew this was only good from the first time it was bought off the lot.) The dealership was able to get GM to cover a portion of it but I would still have to pay $1600 out of pocket. I feel that they should cover more than that stating all the issues I have been having.I called GM and spoke with a Kathy. She pretty much told me that I should be grateful that they are helping me at all and I can either take the offer or leave it. And that I should discuss with my family the best choice for us as the consumer. Appalling customer service, when asked to speak to someone higher up she told me that she was pretty high up and the decision is already made. I will never buy another Chevy. Buyer beware!

I own a 2012 Chevy Equinox (52000 miles) that I purchased from my Chevy dealership. The key fab holds the brass key in pot metal and it broke last year. That key was replaced under warranty. Saturday, the key I got to replace that key broke in the same manner. (25,000 miles later) Saturday, I brought the key in and was told I need to talk with the Service Manager. I explained the problem to the Service Manager and he offered me a new key at a discount. If I had something to do with the key breaking, I would be fine with the offer. Plus, there is no guarantee that the same issue will not happen to the new key. I do not want to be purchasing a new key every so often because of poor design. I was only 2,000 miles out of warranty and they would not replace a recurring issue.I wrote the president of the dealership and she said sorry but would not do anything. My steering wheel has also worn away and I had to put a cover on it. Poor quality. I own a VW TDI which I will be trading in sometime in November. Today was a true test of your customer service. I planned on purchasing a ton crew cab truck to replace the VW. After this experience I do not plan on considering your dealership at this point. I also plan on taking my business elsewhere for service.

I did have to have 1 air shock and compressor replaced but I always replaced shocks in pairs but GM said no way. Then my dash started to crack and that was turned down as GM said this was a cosmetic item and it does NOT cover cosmetic items. Well after buying or leasing 6 vehicles from this same dealer in 6 years I sold the Avalanche and bought me a Ram pickup truck. So I hit a deer in Illinois (I live in New York) on November 12th and it took forever to get my parts. GM customer service had no time frame as to when my parts would be delivered. Finally my parts arrived January 3rd and my truck was completed January 6th. The whole time while we were waiting on parts customer care told me they would pay for the duration of the rental, well that was a complete lie. State Farm only covered 30 days of my rental and GM customer care said they would cover 35$ up to 30 days. I said, Great. It would cover most of the cost of the rental. They then call me a week after and tell me, We are ready to cut you a check but we are only paying up to January 6th because thats when your truck was finished. Now remember I live in New York, have a job and had to wait til I could drive back to get the truck. I explain this to them. They tell me they will get back to me with a answer. Few days later they get back to me and tell me, Sorry but we can only pay to January 6th. This made no sense at all as I explained you never called me to tell me I had to return the truck by a certain date and I had to travel from New York to Illinois. This all could of been avoided if they could of just got my parts on time but now I have to pay around 500$ or more out of my pocket. I am now going to sell my 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali pickup and never buy another GM product after this. To top it off GM has recalls and a major one is you lose brakes. So far its happen to me twice luckily Im not a idiot and caught it in time before I would crash. I turned truck off and back on and it went away. But all in all Im pissed and sure am not dealing with GM anymore.

I am the sorry owner of a Chevy Impala. I have been a GM customer for over 20 years. I have always tried to support American made cars. My experience with this Impala has been a nightmare. I have taken it to the dealer several times and have gotten treated very poorly. The rear defrost just quit working. Tire system failed, now I am waiting to be seen for the recall and need to have someone check out why my car gives me the message engine power reduced. Once I have these things done, I will be returning this car and I will never purchase an automobile from GM or any of its affiliates. I am so disgusted with this car. I depend on this car (I cant call it an automobile or vehicle) to take my child back and forth and I need to get to work. I cannot afford to jeopardize her safety. I will never recommend GM to anyone.

lb7 duramax injectors failed again - Nice person took my call, talked about problem. Warranty was to fix injector issue in 2009, gm was in financial crisis. No help for 1595.00 repair. Just finished repair on May/29/14 for 3800.00. Cassandra the gm. ambassador will not respond to phone messages, more than 4, emails at least 3, over the last two weeks. It seems strange they are so helpful on the first call then have no time to call or respond.

The car has 90,000 miles and the AC wasnt working - just on the side note we live in Wisconsin and we use AC 3 months out of the year. After check up we were told that the motor in a front fan needed to be replaced. After we paid $300 for that the AC still wasnt working, so we took it back to the shop and we were told that there is a leak in the AC system which will cost $650 to get it fixed!!! 2 weeks later the cars engine breaks down. We contacted General Motors and we were told that the warranty has expired and they cant do anything for us!!! Can someone please advise me what can be done for the General Motor to step up their game and take responsibility for this crap???

I have coupons on the GMC app. He tells me I need the frictionizer, Ok. $90.00 dollars later, driving an hour and a half, washer fluid completely dry. Problem: Do I trust them and my kids safety, no. Freezing dirt 65 may, no way to clear the windshield. Cant use coupon that is on the app that you use to schedule the maintenance. Hmm do I go back? Probably not. If they miss 1 thing why not 10? Tired of bad service and excuses. When you pay for a product that expensive you better get what you pay for because if you dont... BAD BUSINESS. Thanks.

Volt turned off on the Freeway! While going 75 mph. Almost a week went by without a diagnosis because they didnt receive trouble codes from the vehicle. Dealer contacted Detroit to assist in the recovery process and said they would cover some of the cost because I was so close to the 100,000 mile mark. No acknowledgement of a near fatal disaster. Did I mention I was in the far left lane when the car shut off and left me without power-steering.

In March 2014, I leased a Silverado double cab. No issues, truck running great. About 6 to 7 months into the lease, I started getting lights concerning the Trac Stabilizer system coming on. This came on with normal driving conditions (no wet roads or extra gravel on them). This came on a few times at first. Took it to the dealership (SeaCoast Chevrolet in Neptune, New Jersey). They could not duplicate the issue, so they gave me the truck back. Have been back 3 more times since then and still no resolution. This last time, truck stalled turning into a parking spot and the cruise control disengaged for no reason while I was doing 75 mph. This is dangerous and a major safety issue. It is now at the dealership and still have not been able to replicate the issue or come up with a solution. GM has been notified. The district manager (David **) has been involved. Have been told by many people at the dealership that they would call me back. No return calls. I have had to call them for answers. They are refusing to do anything extra besides wasting my time having make numerous trips to the dealership for repairs. They cannot perform along with major safety issues with the truck. On top of that, having to take time away from my work to do this. Extremely poor customer service on their part. Will not deal with them again once the lease is over. Handing in the keys and walking away never to return!!

Anyways, went to get a Malibu (sales) to my local dealer in which my whole family uses so I trusted it to be okay. Saw a Malibu Elite with a 29 something sale sticker that I wanted. Went to talk to a sales person at Vic Canever, said interested in the deal, we had to go look, he was unaware. He said that there was criteria. I didnt have a lease, a criteria BUT, he could get me close to that deal. Going thru his hour and a half of mumble jumbo I kept asking the price of the car. I got 29750 oh then better 29595! Great! Very excited! Well after 3 1/2 hours later very tired!Finance guy told me my payments. 417 month well I had a trade in on 3800 plus put down 5000 seemed high, so called the next day and the sales person claimed that the total of the car that I kept asking the amount included my trade in, Really! Bunch of **! Well when we went to the parking lot to look at the sticker sale, he didnt even know that I had a trade in or what it was, anyways ended up paying $3000 more than I thought. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I will never go back to Vic Canever in Fenton again! I know the deal that I got was average and almost just went somewhere else, but thought if I didnt purchase it then I would never get one (personal thing) anyways, love the car but cant enjoy until I get over this horrible experience! I purchased a 2011 Chevy Impala LTZ from King Auto in 2012. It was certified pre-owned with very low mileage. It came with warranty coverage, but luckily I purchased additional extended warranty coverage. My first problem I had was the rack & pinion needing to be replaced. Then one day there was a knocking noise coming from the dashboard area, that turned out to be the acuator valves needing to be replaced. I had to go to the dealer twice about the acuator valves needing to be replaced. The acuator valves and rack & pinion problem was in 2013. For the next 3 years I did not experience any major problems, but in May of 2016 my L.E.D. readout display said SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL - SERVICE STABILITRAK!! Immediately after seeing that display, I experienced major engine failure and other mechanical problems. This happened without warning. My car was towed to Ourisman Chevy and they said that the engine needed to be replaced. The Chevy Impala only had 78,000 miles and it needed a new engine. My warranty plan paid for the engine to be replaced. Fast forward November 11, 2019. Im coming from visiting my mother. My Chevy is riding smooth, no problems. Then suddenly without warning, my check engine light begins flashing, the motor starts rumbling and losing power, and the display says SERVICE STABILITRAK - SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL. The same problem from 2013 happened again. Plus my Onstar daignostic report confirmed the same problems.The next day Im at the dealership, Ourisman Chevy, and after hours of diagnosing my car they bring me to the back of the shop, and the mechanic working on my car shows and tell me that my pistons were misfiring thousands of times and that the camshaft was damaged. He said there was no way to repair the damage and that the engine would have to be replaced. The service tech then tells me that its only going to cost $4,500 plus other expenses to get my Chevy back on the road. My car had 126,014 miles on the odometer. I want to say that my extended warranty company at the time replaced my engine with an engine that had 38,000 miles on it, and my car had 78,000 miles when the engine went bad in 2013. This means that the second engine only lasted for a little more than 48,000 miles. I want to also add that my neighbor and co-worker also owned the same Chevy, same year, and the also experienced the same exact problem with the rack & pinion, acuator valves and ultimately the STABILITRAK SYSTEM failing thereby causing all 3 of us disappointment in this product. My co-worker stated that his car had 126,000 miles when his STABILITRAK SYSTEM and other problems occurred. My neighbor and co-worker had to replace their Chevys too.On November 11, 2019 when my Chevy Impala died for the second time with the same problem, I did not have an extended warranty. I will never purchase another Chevy product. I am terribly disappointed, and I hope that they read this review. I also hope that they have corrected the STABILITRAK SYSTEM on the newer Chevy Impalas.

My 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, while still covered by GM’s Factory Power Train Warranty, had two frayed injector wire connectors that were repaired/replaced by GM Authorized dealers using Genuine GM Parts (that come a one-year warranty). A couple months later I pulled into Casper Buick GMC Cadillac (“CASPER GMC”) and was told that 2 injectors had failed but they would be covered 100% by my warranty. Therefore, I approved the work. Later when I went to pick up my truck they told me it would not be covered by warranty and that I needed to personally pay them $2,231.04 or they would not give me my keys or release my truck to me.For two months since then, I’ve made repeated unsuccessful attempts to get a satisfactory resolution and have experienced:(i) Repeated broken promises from Matt **, of CASPER GMC and from and Jay from GM Customer Care (“GM”) to get back to me;(ii) CASPER GMC’s and GM’s willful disregard of the promises made to owners like me in GM’s Factory Power Train Warranty;(iii) CASPER GMC’s repeated and unwarranted refusal to file my warranty claim with GM, despite the fact that my truck is still under GM Factory Warranty for both the injectors (GM Factory Power Train Warranty), and the connector wires (GM Genuine Parts Warranty); and(iv) I was told by Jay at GM Customer Care that if I sought guidance from my attorney, even if such guidance did not include my filing suit, he would no longer be able to speak with me about this issue.(v) I was told by Casper GMC to contact GM Customer Care and was told by GM Customer Care to contact Casper GMC.Casper GMC and GM Customer Care do a good job of watching each other’s back but totally ignore the backs of customers like me.If this sounds like fun to you, please go straight to Casper GMC and buy a truck. Yuk!

I paid thousands for the GM extended warranty protection plan to get denied on a catalytic converter that is shot. The vehicle is 2 years old and under the federal emissions act warranty and even under my extended warranty. Nowhere on that protection plan paperwork states this would not be covered. I called GM direct and got a run around stating the vehicle was used and that is why it’s getting denied. Then their next excuse was in their records I was a third owner of the vehicle which is not fact. Im the only owner of the vehicle. Then I get “We cannot help you due to you exceeded the miles by 6K so sorry.”Now I have a bill in the thousands after shelling thousands out upfront first so I would be protected from incidences like this. My vehicle is a 2014 Chevy Cruze with 86K miles. I purchased it certified used with 8k miles. I have an extended GM warranty that covers up to 108K miles. Instead GM and the GM Extended Warranty Protection Plan denied my case. I am now seeking the attorney general. Also GM refused to give me my case number.

My 2011 was brought in because the check engine light was on. The service advisor called me when the car was fixed, with no authorization from me to work on the car. I called GM corporate office and spoke with a James, who apologized for my bad experience and told me that they will reimburse me the full cost of the repairs. The next day, he called to say that GM will not reimburse and that he would have to take the side of the service advisor. However, it is against GMs policy to work on a car without authorization from their customers. Of course the service advisor is trying to save his job by saying that I authorized the work. How can I authorized anything that you dont tell me about?

A day later looked under my vehicle and noticed spin-on filter on Allison had not been replaced. Would any lubrication station not replace your oil filter if you had your motor oil changed? Called the dealership and was told that I hadnt told them to replace the filter. What a bunch of incompetent bunch of sorry **. Would be like wiping your ** before you sat down to do your business.
