I bought my Kia Sorento brand new in March of 2011. Just over the weekend, the check engine light came on. The dealer has to replace the canister and said it was because I topped off when getting gas, and that the warranty only covers a one-time replacement of the canister. Well, I have not topped off when getting gas and even if I did, this is a brand new car! The mechanic said these cars are sensitive. Seriously?
Rear shocks were leaking - I had to replace rear tires, car has 56k miles. Kia says Kias 60k warranty or 5-year warranty is void because 15 wheels were changed to 17 and car wasnt build for 17 wheels and tires (give me a break). I asked several tire shops. All said tires were ruined because of defective leaking shocks, not the size of wheels or tires.
I purchased at 2012 Kia Rio with 96k Miles on it. I had a certified Mechanic Run the Codes on it. Nothing was coming up however this car still has engine issues. I search the internet and no one can explain why it sounds like a hammer and anvil going down the road. One foreign guy pointed out aluminum shavings in the oil pan and explained he measured the pistons to be too short and causing undue wear and tear. I even have a check engine light that goes on and off before I can check the reason why. As it turns out even back within 5 years from 2012 new buyers could not get this issue resolved with Kia Offical dealers. Im stuck with this car. Will the engine blow? Will it damage other components? It is impossible to know. The car is old enough people are owed a solution.
Kias customer service department is the absolute WORST customer service department that I have ever dealt with in my 52 years of living. I paid my car off more than 6 months ago and I have called at least 12 times in the past 4 months seeking assistance but, I have been unable to obtain my title. Every time that you call them, there is a new excuse. First, it was lost in the mail. So, I asked them to provide a duplicate. The next 10 calls I was promised something by mail. Here I am 4+ months later and I have still not received anything from them. Im at my wits end. Do yourself a favor and NEVER deal with this lousy company. If they gave me my next car for free, I would actually tell them to keep it. Thats how angry I am. Im going to call a local TV station in NY and ask them to help me rectify the situation by getting them involved and embarrassing KIA in front of thousands of their viewers. Im not going to get mad, Im going to get even. MORAL OF THE STORY: DO NOT BUY A KIA.
Got in my car and the radio comes on and the volume is loud and the radio is on a channel that I never listens to. Tried to turn the radio volume down, that didnt work, tried to turn the radio off, that didnt work, tried to change to a different station, that didnt work. This was on a Saturday evening around 5pm. Turned the engine off and back on the radio, still would not turn off or allow me to change the volume or station. Drove by the dealership (of course service department was closed) and showed the salesmen what was going on. They had no clue as to why this was occurring or how to fix it. Suggested I bring the car back in on Monday to have it looked at. Also the following day, the cruise control would not work. Not sure if this is a fuse issue or what.
I will never in my life lease another KIA or refer anyone over to that company! Worst customer service and car experience I have had in my life. THANK GOD I no longer have to deal with them. Their service is as cheap as their cars. TOTAL CRAP.
I have a 2009 Kia Borrego. I had to replace first engine because it was filled with sludge. I contacted Kia dealership and was told I didnt have a warranty and they wouldnt replace the engine. I had the warranty in my hand and was couldnt believe this was happening. I bought the Kia for its warranty and now Im being punished. So after getting nowhere with Kia except they said they fired the salesman because he was misleading other customers as well. I got nowhere, just a warranty to look at not use. I bought a rebuilt Kia engine costing after labor 8000 and off I drove again. Not even a year later same problem, oil not holding and sludge in the engine.... what do I do now - put engine #3?
I bought a 2012 Kia Soul. I bought a new car because I live up north where the winters are cold. So I wanted a new car with a good heater. I dont have that in the Kia Soul. The temp gauge in the car drops and I get cool to lukewarm air. I have taken it to my dealership and they had it almost 2 weeks and nothing. They keep telling me it is normal. I have had several cars and none of them had them temp gauge drop and get warm air or cool. I was told that Kia put in a larger radiator than is needed for this size car and they wont do anything about it. If this is as hot as the Kia Soul gets, then Kia should not be selling it up north where the winters are long and cold. As anyone else had this issue.
I purchased new 2011 KIA Sorento in May 2010. Immediately, I began having issues with the sunroof vibrating and the fuel cover not opening when pushing the button on the driver door. In one instance, I was completely on empty at a desolate gas station and had to get my two-year-old out of the car seat to have her push the button while I pulled the cover open. In the spring of 2012, the transmission started shifting hard or not shifting at all. When the transmission does not shift out of gears, I shut down the vehicle and restart, at which point the problem goes away for the meantime. I took it to the dealer several times and they did not detect a problem. I was later told by the service writer that another woman did come in with the same issue, but their electronic printout says all was okay when hooking up the car to check electronics. I told them it was most likely an electrical problem, possibly a short, and the service man said that would take them forever to check. Service writer then asked if I would give them all high marks when I receive my visit survey; otherwise, he would get a call for anything but the highest of ratings. I continued to have rough shifting issues and the dashboard does not show the gear when this occurs now. In late summer of 2012, the vehicle would not turn on at all. It was getting a jump start several times a week. I had the two-year-old battery replaced per their request. I still believe the issues stem from something greater. The driver side window is touchy and does not go up at various times. I have been caught by sudden rain several times with the window unable to go up. Beginning in Nov. 2012, the brake would not engage and the push button start wont either. I got to turn it on after three times 60 seconds of holding down brake and push start. I have made multiple phone calls and many visits to the service dept. of the dealership with no resolutions.
I bought this car in 2017 in September. Here we are in October of 2018 and it has a blown engine. I only have 95,000 miles on this car and bought it with 58,000. For such a new car you would think you would have years before any major issues. Car isnt even on any recalls. But here I am no car and still paying on this vehicle that is a new type of garden gnome now. I hate Kia vehicles and would never buy another ever again.
I have the KIA K900 year 2015. I have a recurring event my car tries to EAT me. Really I mean just that. To understand this let me let you know that this car is totally computer controlled. Everything is controlled by the onboard computer. There is no manual levers to work with. E Brake is computer controlled, shifting, starting, running, lighting, air conditioning and also the steering is drive by wire. So with that information here is how my car tries to eat me. I get into the car and put on my seat belt and step on the brake pedal and press the start button and my seat moves very fast all the way forward so much that I cannot move anything. Real, leg under the dash pressed hard into the dash well and the seat with not stop until it get where it wants to go then it stops moving. Now this is the terrorizing part. I cannot move the seat anywhere. It will not move back or anything at all. Now this is scary to me because I am thinking, Hey I am pressed hard against the steering wheel airbag if it goes off I am a dead man. I am a man with a disability and trying to get out of this was impossible. I had the police and fire to come help me and the fireman were able to twist me out of the car like a corkscrew. After this happen I had it towed to KIA Place I got it from and they worked on it and could not find anything wrong so to maybe fix this they did a complete computer reinstall of my car. Well this car eating me thing happened four more time and then the scariest thing happen. My car while I was drive down the road next to Safeway ate me. I could not move my feet to step on the brake and the right foot was on the gas pedal which I move sideways to prevent me from pressing on the gas. But the worst was I could not control the car because I was pressed so hard against the steering wheel I could not turn it but very little. Visions of hitting anything and having the airbag go off was scary. Of course this end ok, the fire department and police are the greatest and best people around. I was pulled from the vehicle again and the car when to KIA car company again. The company was really mad about this because my car tried to eat the service manager also. But KIA in the sky said not to repair it because they could not replicate the error. Now this top of the Line KIA Motors vehicle The all great K900 sit on the side of the road. I will never drive it again and the car company that I got it from understands but cannot help me and still to date KIA Motor in the sky will not make good on this car. Microsoft who programmed the car computer system says it is a defective BIO somethinga majiggy they are EPOMS thingies. But KIA Motors in the sky will not authorize a replacement of the computer thingy... I will never own another KIA Motors car at all.
My car was booked in for a noise in the engine on 3rd Nov 2015. Heard nothing for 2 days even after leaving numerous messages as the lady dealing with it was either away from her desk, on a call or busy with other clients. Eventually got a call late Wednesday afternoon advising that they needed to strip the crankshaft which would cost R2300.00. I advised that I would check with my husband and call them back. When attempting to call them back late Wed afternoon no one answered the phone. I then received a call Thursday pm to confirm that could go ahead with the job. I confirmed it was okay. I heard nothing on Friday and when phoning Friday pm, none of my calls were returned. By now I was extremely peed off. I eventually got my husband to go to Kia Tokai to check on the progress of my vehicle. When he arrived the ladys attitude was, Why have you come to see your vehicle? He was then shown the problem with the vehicle and the mechanic explained what needed to be done, we were offered 2 options costing R3700 or R20 000. We agreed to the R3700. Were then told the parts could only be ordered from JHB on the Monday 9th. We then received no update on our car at all. I then tried to speak to the manager of Kia Tokai who was in a meeting when I called at 9 am on Thursday. 12th Nov. I called throughout the morning and left 3 messages in total. He never returned any of my calls. Eventually the service manager called me to enquire what my complaint was. I explained the whole story to him and he was going to check on my car and call me back. Surprise, surprise he did not call back. I eventually called him again at 3:30 pm. This is what I was then told: yes the part had arrived but did I not know that it can take 3-4 days for a part to arrive? How would I know this? They now need to check if the part is compatible with my vehicle, come on, get real. Do you not know what part to order? I must be patient and wait because while my car has been at their workshop they have booked other cars in as well which will be worked on first, dont I realise that the job on my car is a big one. How would I know this, I am not a mechanic. Am I not a client? Are some clients given special treatment? Yes my car is not under warranty anymore (was bought from this branch in April 2012) but I am a paying customer. By this time I was fed up and asked to speak to the manager again. I was put through to reception, who advised me to pls hold as he was on a call. I was placed on hold 3 times. The service manager then came onto the phone saying the manager was in a meeting and if my car could not be fixed by close of business Friday 13th then they would organise a car for me to use. What rubbish! I feel that I was put on hold so that the service manager could speak to the manager first. Was he really on a call or in a meeting because reception says his on a call and the service manager says he is in a meeting. What kind of manager does not take responsibility for his workshop and staff?Yes I understand that parts come from JHB, yes I understand that some jobs take time, but is it not possible for a person to keep a client updated as to what is happening to their car especially if it takes 11 days without a result. It is now 2:30 pm on Friday 13th November and to date no car, no call! Would never take my car back there again (if & when I get it back). Would never recommend Kia Tokai to anyone as I would not want them to have to endure such incompetence.
I bought my KIA Sorento 2012 as a new vehicle, and have had way many problems than normally expected for the past few years, including safety problems. Car stopping suddenly on the road is a horrible experience with the family on-board, but it has happened twice even after their fix (First in 2014, Second in 2016). Major problems (Safety issue): Car became disabled while running on a high speed limit busy road in 2014. Dealership found an alternator failure and they replaced it. Car became disabled again while running on a road at night last Friday (February 26, 2016). The exact same symptoms as before; LED indicators began malfunctioning, accelerator stopped working, and Car lost its power while running.Other problems (Non-Safety issue): Battery replace twice with bad cells found. (Car keeps causing the battery to die.) Passenger power car seat stopped operating twice. Navigation keeps resetting (deleting all the saved addresses and settings). LED light indicators malfunctioning or stuck. Car is inherently bad or has some root causes for the problems, and so needs a more fundamental solution rather than fixing locally. This car is potentially very dangerous as the same safety problems keep breaking out, but KIA (Dealership, Headquarter) simply follow the warranty manual with the repeated problems.I asked KIA to either replace the car or replace the electrical engine board, but they refused. All Im asking is being able to drive the car with enough confidence that it wont stop on the road (and expose my family to a dangerous situation). Again, car being stopped twice suddenly on the road is a horrible experience, and KIA should deal with the issue more than just warranty, as there may be the same problems with their other cars.
I was the owner of a 2018 Kia Sorento. Upon getting close to the end of my lease, I went to the dealership Smithtown Kia on Long Island, NY. Between mileage and remaining payments, part of the deal/contract for exchanging the 2018 Sorento for a new 2020 Kia Optima is that the remaining balance on the Sorento would be paid off by the dealership. The check for the remaining balance (in excess of $2,600.00) was sent by the dealership upon closure of the deal in February 2020. In August of the same year I received a notification from Transunion (one of the major credit bureaus) that a reported missed payment in the amount of the payoff had been reported by Kia Motors Finance. What Kia neglected to do was send the letters claiming I owed them this money to the address listed when I got the 2020 Optima (my current address), not the address I lived in upon the lease of the 2018 Sorento.I was left in the dark about it due to their negligence to send letters to the right address informing me of their negligence to handle a contracted pay off properly. I checked my credit score which at the time of the deal back in February was well over 800. What happened to my credit score was more than just a drop in the bucket. The drop my credit had experienced put me in a terrible position with my mortgage lender during a refinance that was taking place at the same time frame I found out about this remaining balance on a vehicle I no longer owned nor was legally financially responsible for due to the terms of the balance being the responsibility of the dealership to pay off. I called the dealership right away and they claimed they had sent the check. They sent me a tracking number where the check was sent via Fedex. I looked into the tracking number and the check was signed for by Kia Finance that it had been received.I called Kia Finance. After waiting unbelievable amounts of time to speak with someone, they requested that I send them a picture of the front and back of the check that the dealership had sent them for the pay off. So they wanted a picture of a check they already physically received, yes you read that right. I called the dealership and got the run around for 4 days before they found it and sent it to me via email. Mind you, every day that goes by I am building a terrible mountain of late days on my credit regarding this pay off. Once I received the picture of the front and back of the check I called Kia Finance again where they gave me an email to forward the picture of the check. I sent the email twice in the same day. I called the next day and they put me on hold for 45 minutes only to tell me that I had to wait an additional 2 days before they could find and review the email with the picture attached.I waited 2 days and called back. When I got someone on the phone they put me on hold for 2 straight hours before I lost my patience and gave up. I called the next day and they had me on the phone for an hour before they found the email. Once they found the email the lady on the phone said she was sending it over to payment processing which would take another 3 days. Yes, another 3 days. I waited the 3 days and called back. I got a lady on the phone whom I explained the whole situation to. She puts me on hold to review the situation and once again never gets back to me. I waited on hold for almost a half hour before I gave up again. I have the background music for being on hold with Kia etched into the bad memory bank of my brain. I called back right away where the next lady proceeded to tell me that she needed to review the situation and asked if I would hold for 2 to 3 minutes.I lost it at this point and started pointlessly yelling at them because Im a human being thats been completely pushed to the limit. Finally after over 2 weeks of this horrible experience I get a payment processing person on the phone that seemed interested in helping. But in the end, Ive been instructed I need to wait another 3 days before theyll know anything else. Im literally fighting against the credit bureaus clock because of this company due to absolutely no fault of my own.As I wrote this review I have literally been on hold upon the resolution of the last call I explained for over 26 minutes. I have no hope or feeling of resolution to this awful situation these people have put me in. Gross customer negligence and incompetence that has cost me my financial health. Something needs to be done whether Im the only person this has happened to or whether its happened to multiple people. Its unethical, its immoral, its life altering. I dont know what else to do. I will never get a Kia ever again.
Reported coolant leak on Oct. 27, 2020. Took car to Doug Smith Kia on Nov. 6, 2020 and picked up loaner vehicle. Nov. 18, 2020 took loaner back and picked up our Sorento. Got Sorento home, within five miles, and noticed that coolant leak had not been fixed. Took vehicle back to dealer, same day, and got another loaner car. Nov. 24, 2020 picked up Sorento again and drove for a few days. After each use strong coolant smell was detected and coolant level in overflow and radiator down. Dec. 3, 2020 took Sorento back to dealer for third time and it has been there ever since, over 4 weeks now. Have NOT been contacted by dealer for update or status. Contacted KIA USA and was given a case number. KIA USA indicated they would intervene and try and help resolve issue with Sorento.
I have a 2014 Kia soul with less than 20k, owned it 1 1/2 yrs. Noticed the clear coat on my wheels is starting to peel off. I notified the dealer and he told me to bring it in to take pics and send it to corp. but he also said they probably will do nothing. I have owned three Kias, this is Definitely my last.
My 2013 Kia Soul, still under warranty, has major engine problems. An independent mechanic says its a cylinder. Kia refuses to repair without all service records since purchase. Many oil changes were done at home!! Im out a basically new car!! Anyone know of a class action against them about this matter? I know they had the same issues with Kia Sorento.
2012 Kia Sorento - My parents bought the Kia brand new. The drivers side seat adjustment contraption has broken twice now! They did replace it the first time for free, but Im not so sure about this time. There needs to be something other than a piece of plastic holding that contraption in place.
I purchased a 2017 Kia Sedona from a Kia dealer in Queens, NY in 2017 with 50 miles. The car is perfect for my family of six as it is roomy and the LX model offered enough accommodations which made it easy to travel with five children. I was very happy with my vehicle and Kia until recently. I had an engine malfunction while driving on a highway with a relative and my children. It was New Years Eve 12/31/20, and I decided to take my sister and children shopping at a store that was about ten miles away. We live in the Suburbs which can get rural in some areas and in order to get to this one store, in particular, I had to take a highway to travel there. When I initially started the car I heard a rattling sound which I thought was due to the cold weather, however, as I drove off and drove further and approached the highway the car started to decelerate. After the car decelerated the car cut off while I was driving. In a panic, I started the car again and pulled over to the side. I had to repeat turning the car on, the car shutting off and decelerating, turning the car on, and drive ten miles to return back home. The very next day 1/1/2021 I had the car towed to the dealership that handled my lease buyout. The service manager was nice exhibited professionalism and willing to offer exceptional services to ensure that my car was repaired and that I understood the repair process. He informed of charges that would be incurred if the warranty was not covered by Kia. So everything at the dealer was done with professionalism and courtesy. The problem that I experienced with Kia was and is that they are not honoring the warranty. The Service Manager indicated that receipts were required to document oil changes performed on the 2017 Kia Sedona to ensure that maintenance was performed routinely. I provided receipts that were kept from service performed from Kia dealerships, however, was unable to produce enough receipts for Kia to honor the warranty. I contacted the Kia Customer Service which represents corporate, the customer services representatives I spoke with exhibited professionalism and advised me to try to get receipts of purchases of oil for any oil changes done outside of a service shop. However, I am unable to. So here I am one and a half months without a car, I am renting a car while paying my monthly finance bill, and I believe Kia will not honor my warranty because of lack of receipts of oil changes.I also find it ironic that I had the car serviced in November 2020 at a Kia dealership and they are not honoring the repairs. I hope that this issue is not an issue with the Sedona as I had around 65,000 miles on the car at the time the engine malfunctioned. I did check another website United States Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Administration where recently a consumer reported the same issue. I pray that this is not the beginning of an issue like Kia experienced with the Kia class engine failure class-action lawsuit in 2019. Although I love the Kia Sedona I probably will not purchase another Kia if the company does not offer reasonable solutions for this matter.
We have a 2014 Kia rondo. We went to Kia to get bumper repair and they told us its not under warranty. Told us that the little scratch from the shopping cart loosen out. If that little scratch loosen our bumper how cheap this car is really? So call the company direct and they told me the same thing, really?????? Before we bought that car we were told dont buy a Kia, they’re terrible but we didnt listen and now we stuck with that piece of junk thats falling apart and brand new. I will never recommend Kia to nobody. I personally will NEVER OWN another. If that car so cheap that a cart scratch the bumper and the passenger side bumper come all loose well its obvious the car wasnt put together right. So really the cart is not the problem they are and to the company you guys shouldnt lie by saying you have the best warranty cause thats a BIG lie. Buyer beware. Think twice before you buy a Kia.
On July 19, 2012, I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento from Riverchase Kia, 2200 Pelham Parkway, Pelham, AL 35124. I shopped this vehicle on their website. I wrote the VIN, stock number, color, and price down on my pad. When I got to the lot, I found the vehicle. During negotiation, I was told if they honored the website price, they could not let me take advantage of the $5000 pull-in/drag-in trade that they advertised on television. I was told by the salesman and the finance person there was no rebate on the 2013 models Sorentos. During closing of my vehicle, I noticed $5000 trade was made up of $3500 trade plus a $1500 rebate. They told me the manufacturer would not allow the dealer do both. If this is true, they need to express this writing on their website as well as on their TV commercials. All this brings to the question of truth in advertising. Please address this, I feel somewhat cheated. You have a product that can stand on its own, Dont taint it with deceiving advertising practices.
2010 Kia Optima service - I have taken my car on three different occasions for the front driver side wheel. I hit a curve and was trying to make sure that the rim and/or the tire was not bad. Each time I have taken it, they said they could not find anything wrong with the tire or the rim. But the tires have been rotated and now the rim is back on the front and my steering wheel is shaking badly. I took it back today and stayed there from 8AM to 1PM, to be told that I need to get a wheel alignment, tire balance and rotation, but it would be another 2 hours. I told them that I have been there all day and I have to go. This is not right. How many times do I have to take my car to get it serviced? The end result? No service.
I bought a 2021 KIA Stinger and they have an Important Safety Recall. I have been on the phone with the Service Manager at KIA in Frederick, Maryland a few times today and I have been on the phone with the KIA business office most of the day, trying to get a loaner car till they can fix my car which is not till Monday. They are REFUSING to give me loaner car. I have a fulltime job and a 3 year old and they are just flat out saying we will not get or give you a loaner car. I am so upset that they are holding me to get a rent a car for a RECALL they have. The service manager at the KIA in Frederick, MD is so rude and nasty she has no right being in the customer service field. I have never been spoken to as I have been spoken to today by both the service manager and the recall department at the business office. I have reached out to the BBB and I am now speaking an attorney just in case my car breaks out in flames. The paperwork clearly states the following Park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or stretchers until you have the recall performed. And they still will not give me a loaner. This is unacceptable. I hope anyone that is looking to buy a car stays clear from KIA automobiles.
This car gave me a very good service. Never had a problem with the motor or transmission. Also, its very economic on gas and responded very well at the road.
First off, I was a college student and wanting a new car with a warranty so then I wouldnt have to worry about having to pay extra for cars that I recently had that kept breaking down and I had to empty my pockets to keep running. I knew that I couldnt afford to get a loan for a better car and I looked in KIA and heard nothing but decent reviews about them. But from that start I got conned, I spent $14,000 for a new KIA with already 216 miles of test driving done on it and it was a manual with no bells and whistles, not even an air conditioner. But me being conned was my fault. I should have brought someone experienced in buying a new car with me, but fault still falls on them for taking advantage of me and not having ethics on their side of business. My next complaint is that I have automatic lights that I can just keep the switch on and the light automatically turns off. But when the cold weather of the winter time hits me, my light somehow miraculously turns back on and kills my battery. I called in and told them about my issue just 3 months after me purchasing my brand new car and they said that there was nothing to do about it. I wrote in several complaints over and over to the company and still nothing happened. Now, Im stuck with a battery that has gone completely bad from all the times that I have had to push start or get jump starts from. I will never buy another KIA as long as I live.
The 2011 Kia Forte ran great for 50K miles. Then, I guess I hit a rock - thats what the dealer told me - that apparently damaged the transmission fluid line underneath the car. They fixed it and told me the transmission was fine. So 1,250 miles later, the tranny locks up in 4th gear. Now, Kia is telling me that I should call my insurance company to take care of this. I told them, “No way. You guys told me it was fine. Now, you want to backtrack and blame the so-called accident.” Now, they’re saying if their metal in the bottom of the filter, then its on me. I dont think so.
I bought a 2012 Hyundai Sonota from them. They told me they just got the car in and went through it thoroughly. Two weeks later the motor seized up! Come to find out the motor was a junkyard motor!! Of course they claim to not know this but if they went through it then how did they not know? Lies!! So I went back and they said all they could do is charge me $3000 for a new motor (which they said was a deal but Hyundai only wanted $2500). Lies!! Or give the car back and they keep my down payment and first payment!! WHAT!! Sales manager was a complete jerk!! Told me they keep the down payment to cover their costs because I blew up the motor in his car!! You sell me a junk car for $8000 and I should cover what they lost! Wow!! If I could give less than 1 star I would.
Kia has a great warranty. I am 6 ft 4 in tall and can wear a hat while driving it. It is not great on comfort, but for the price is one great value; I think it is the best car for those who need dependable transportation for a value. Retired folks, because it is easy to get into and back out of. Most cars you either slide down into them or climb up to get in.
I purchased a 2017 Kia Sorento. After cleaning the plastic plate in front of speedometer with glass cleaner as recommended. I noticed that there were spots on other side of the plastic. This should not happen. Kia would not repair the problem and brushed aside the problem with the simple statement that it looked like outside influences were involved. Gee, could it be that KIA did not properly seal the plastic covering protecting the speedometer? If you buy a KIA, be prepared to fight for everything under warranty. Personally, I am getting rid of the Sorento and buying a car that lives up to its warranties.
KIA agreed to fix my car which is presumably under warranty. We agreed that they will cover the parts and I will cover the labor at $1,250. After doing the repairs, they are now saying that they will not honor the warranty! This is on top of the disappointment I have had with KIA. I still owe $1,661 on the vehicle and I am so frustrated that they are pulling this! I would have never agreed to having them repair the car, had they not agreed to honor the warranty, as I had a mechanic who is willing to do it at a much more reasonable cost!KIA is a rip off. They are crooks and are not trustworthy! My lawyer will be handling the matter from today; however, this still leaves me without transportation! Today, I will drop one of my classes that require me to travel to a distant campus for lack of transportation. I will most likely lose my job. And in the meantime, my car will sit at the KIA dealership because KIA will not honor the agreement they had with me! Shame, shame, I know your name! The magnet I just ordered to place on my car is in the shape of a lemon and it reads: Ask Me About My Lemon. Its a KIA, dude! Although it will be a while before I am able to drive my 2006 KIA Rio again, I will proudly sport it around town with my new bright yellow accessory added to its both sides. Never would I ever recommend a KIA to anyone I meet! I will tell everyone I know to never ever consider owning a KIA! Lets boycott KIA! I will post on my Facebook account and in other sites, put signs in my yard and give bumper stickers to all of my friends--whatever it takes to make people aware!
I have had a terrible experience with Kia Motors and their Warranty Administrator. My 2012 Kia Sorento broke down during a 2 hour trip in November 2013. We had the vehicle towed over 50 miles (which Kia roadside assistance said they would not cover, but per the service dept/manager at the dealership all costs related to the breakdown would be covered) to a dealership that would service our vehicle on a Saturday located near our home. We had no choice as my wife and I share this vehicle and dont have any other means to travel to work. Rodeo Kia (the dealership) in Avondale, AZ has been very cooperative all along, and eventually (vehicle was in the shop for 1 week) the entire engine was replaced. But, we have yet to be refunded by the Warranty Administrator for the cost of the tow. Around $200.00. I am seriously disappointed as I have had to continuously contact the dealership to have this completed and I continue to receive answers in regards to blaming the Warranty Administrator. Ive been informed not only that the Warranty Administrator was changed, but that the dealership is now speaking with consumer affairs as well. This has been the most frustrating experience I have had as the problem continues to linger on.
I am writing in disgust at the way you extort money from Kia owners for services. I have the most basic Kia Picanto you can find, it is a three cylinder with no extraordinary features. In fact I would class it as a “Tin Pot” car. I purchased it second hand last year and since new in 2012, it has only done 22000 and three thousand miles this year with me. I chose your car for only two reasons: 1. It falls under the category of no Road Tax. 2. It is a small engine which means lower costs. AS I AM A PENSIONER COST IS IMPORTANT TO ME.You advertise that you give a Free Seven Year Warranty in all your adverts, which I found out too late is incorrect when I needed to put it through a service, which is a stipulation to keep the warranty. And your KIA garage in Bedford, quoted me a staggering £300 plus for the service, where I could get a Tin Pot car like this one serviced for £100 from my professional mechanic, who works in the trade and for a reputable garage that I have dealt with for over twenty years, or another VAT garage for £150.This suggests that your Warranty is not free and you are tricking vulnerable customers into buying your vehicles expecting good customer care and service. This is disgraceful and unethical and deceitful!!! It would be better to state that in order to have the Seven year Warranty, one has to purchase it on an annual basis and all your prospective customers would be prepared and either buy your cars or go elsewhere and not commit to this daylight robbery by overcharging innocent customers. Where is your Moral conscience and Honesty?
I bought a 2015 KIA Soul in Aug 2015, a 2015 model. I bought the car based on price and gas mileage. They touted the excellent warranty and reliability of the car. Well, six months later the car stopped running at a stop sign this past Sunday. Its a manual transmission and would not engage the transmission. Had it towed to KIA and was informed today the clutch was burnt out and the warranty on this is 12K miles and the car has 12,900K so guess what. Yep, $1500.00 dollars later I can get my car back. I have driven manual transmissions my entire life and never had any sort of clutch failure. Buyer beware. Please read and advise all your friends to stay as far away from KIA as possible. Supposedly the case was sent to KIA headquarters who denied the claim. Shame on that person and believe me I will spread the word far and wide. DO NOT BUY A KIA.
2013 Blown Engine - PLEASE HEED the WARNINGS on these VEHICLES. We change our oil every 3,000 miles, and we have 90K on this vehicle and no lights, no problems, when the car starts making a large knocking noise. We pulled the car over and checked -- oil was fine nothing abnormal, so took it to our mechanic who said the engine was blown. DOOO NOT BUY KIA.
Last July we bought a new 2014 Sorento LX. Its a great vehicle, we love it except for one thing, the AM part of the radio sounds terrible. Its so fuzzy, raspy, its difficult to listen to. Ive taken it back to the dealer 3 times for service. The radio has been swapped out along with some circuit board at the base of the antenna. No change. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix for it?
I purchased a used 2008 Kia Rondo in Houston, Texas in May of 2009. It had around 38,000 miles on it but appeared to be in a very good shape. About a month ago, which was in October, 2011, the air conditioner started blowing only hot air. I brought in to West Side Kia in Katy, TX and was told that I needed a new air conditioning compressor and it would cost me $1,300 to fix it. My car is out of warranty because it has around 62,000 miles on it. The service advisor told me that I need to consider whether or not I want to put that kind of money into my Rondo or just trade it in for something new. My God, the car is only 3 years old! I was in shock.I asked the service advisor if this was what the quality the consumer should expect--only three years use of a Kia before having to trade it in? I asked him how a car so young would already need a new air conditioning compressor. What made matters worst was I was approached by two very pushy sales people, one of which, I told that if I had to buy another car, it certainly would not be a Kia. Ive had cars that have had over 150,000 miles on it with air conditioners that still worked like they did when the car was brand new. I was also informed that a Kia cannot use anything but Kia parts and because of this, the cost of a new compressor was triple what a regular one would cost me. It seems to me that there is something very wrong about this. I feel as if Ive been ripped off and I cannot afford to buy another car right now.
I was on the freeway when my Sorrento steering wheel and brakes locked on me. I couldnt stop the car. It started malfunctioning and when I proceeded to stop the car from veering off the road, I had to place my hand on the gear and force it into park in order for it to stop. I was stuck out waiting 3 hrs for my husband to rescue me... on the side of the road. And when I restarted it to drive it back home I had to drive under 50 miles with the hazards on the whole way there. Once I got to my exit the car malfunction again and proceeded not to stop but kept going and I was forced again to put it in park in order for it to stop. Im still very much upset about it when I got home I cried because I couldve ran into a innocent person along with my life and really caused a lot of damage. Im thanking God that everyone is safe. But I dont know how Im gonna get into that car again. Im literally terrified of my Sorrento now.
Blown rod with only 66000 miles. They said not covered because used car would not help with the replacement cost in anyway.
I will NEVER EVER buy a KIA Optima or any KIA. First it has a bad AIR CONDITIONER, now my engine is BLOWN. Warranty does not cover it. I bought a 2014, last year although I did oil changes engine started to let out BLACK SMOKE. Took it to KIA, they said I never did an oil change even though I showed them Oil Change receipt. They took the engine apart and said we needed a new engine. So the car is sitting outside my house with no ENGINE. It sort of an advertisement that KIAs are NO GOOD, NO GOOD. My other car has almost 160,000 miles, no engine problem. I had 2 Toyotas, they ran over 200,000 miles - never had engine problem.
The check engine came on, so I took to it Kia/Carson on Thursday. I was advised on Friday that the catalytic converter is bad. Needed my service records in order to see if they will cover. The car has only 66,474 miles and should be covered under Federal Emissions Warranty. When I called to confirm what code was coming up, they advised P0430. It is now the following Wednesday and are denying because I cannot provide further service records. Now, they are telling me that other codes came up which I believe they are reading those same codes that was on my last service record provided only 2,000 miles earlier. My husband went into the dealer to talk to the service manager and he decided not to get off his phone call and come out of his office to meet and discuss. He has still not returned our calls. This is not the first issue I have had with my car. I will never buy a Kia again, nor should anyone else. They do not stand behind their product and are not consumer friendly. I’m a very dissatisfied consumer.
I have a 2009 Kia Rio with only 55,000 miles on it. For the last month and a half, it has been revving when only going at a speed of 60. Its already at 4 RPM and if I try and accelerate, the RPM increase. I had a transmission flush several weeks back to see if the problem would go away, but it did not. I took my car to a Kia dealer and can you believe they said that there is nothing wrong with my vehicle when there clearly is? I still am having the issue of the engine revving, pulls and does not want to accelerate at times. Anyhow, just wanted to get this out there and will be trading in this vehicle that should not even be on the road or exist.
Easy to drive, Im up high enough, that makes it easy see things. I love my Kia. Easy to park, comfortable ride, gets good gas mileage, lots of room, the backseats fold down so you can haul big items. Easy to get in and out of the vehicle. Has several airbags, has Bluetooth.
The week after I bought my Kia, the Kia dealership in my neighborhood changed to a Lexus. You would have thought the sales team would have told me when selling me my car. I thought I was getting a dealer near my place for easy repairs. So when I broke down with a flat tire, I called roadside. Im on a lease so covered. But they said I had to have my car towed to two cities away unless I wanted to pay for it and apply for reimbursement. They said Id just have to wait for my reimbursement. That reimbursement was denied after two months of waiting. According to Kia, I should have had my car towed and repaired over an hour away rather than the block from my house at the Discount Tire center I took it to.Trying to get them to respond is also a system set up to make the customer just give up: youre not allowed to talk directly to the department making the decision. Each call is to another department that has to advocate for you. That department is always backed up with calls. So to get 300 dollars back from an allegedly covered roadside service need, it has taken three months and it was denied because they closed the Kia dealership in my city.
Tower Hill Garage Chipperfield Kings Langley Hertfordshire WD4 9LR - I had my car serviced on 25 July 2012. When I went to get into my car, I noticed the driver’s seat was dirty. One of the managers walked behind me and could see I had not got into the car. I said the staff member who serviced my car must have had dirty overalls. We both could see the plastic cover that should go right over the seat was only covering the back and not the seat-base. The manager said in 20 years this has never happened at this garage, it must have happened before! I said that I do not use dirty clothing. He could clearly see how I was dressed, smartly. Also, I work in an office and have to drive smartly. The manager went on to talk about a hole in the mat, which had no bearing on what we were talking about. Then he went on to say he was happy to book it in to be cleaned, also the service manager walked past and smirked at me! The service manager originally told me when I arrived to pick up my car, to sit in the waiting area as they were having to complete my paperwork, which I later found out the car was still on the test drive, in which it had not been finished. I had to wait over 15 minutes to then pay for my car. This should have been explained to me! I am sorry to say the service manager did have a bad attitude. My conclusion to this was the garage staff did not like the fact that this is only a 22-month-old car with 11,950 miles on the clock and this was my first service and kept saying this should have been serviced, 10 months or 10,000 miles. The garage is fully aware that in the first year I had only completed 3,500 miles because I had to have an operation. Therefore, I did not see the sense in paying out good money for such small mileage. Again the garage staff were informed several times and clearly told me not to worry. All this experience has led me into - I will not be purchasing a Kia again nor will I be going back to this garage until I receive an apology and a gesture of goodwill.
Kia Optima Hybrid Started on Its Own due to faulty push start. - Kia has an uncanny way of stating the same corporate line that the vehicle operates as designed when you tell them there is something wrong with the car. All one has to do is You Tube a woman who had a child in her Kia truck that took control of her and raced the car on a highway at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. This happened for over 30 miles and they settled with her only because it was on the police cam.In my case, my Kia literally started on its own and rolled down a hill into the woods. When I called Kia to tell them what had happened, they said the same line to me as they did to that woman with the truck. When I told Kia that the same situation was shown on You Tube where a lady had a Hybrid that she recorded to start on its own. Yet Kia is holding firm that the car does not want do that. The bottom line is Kia is a terrible car company. Of all of these complaints on here, we need real satisfaction. I think we should post everyday that Kia should not be the car company you want to deal with. I would like to hear from many of you. Perhaps in numbers, they will listen to us. Lets join up and be the David against Goliath. We will prevail. Please respond and lets get going. Thank you.
I loved my Kia 2013 Kia Sportage. I was a Honda and Toyota owner for years and on an impulsive buy I decide to go against my own advice and bought my 2013 Kia Sportage brand spanking new. I really didnt have a complaint about Kia until I was riding down the highway one evening and the car just lost power. After towing it away the mechanic told me that the engine was seized and it was a $7000 repair. He advised me to call Kia because this appears to be a Known issue. After doing my own research, I discovered that there have been a number of recalls on these cars (55,000 in the united states) and a some across Canada. Well long story short....my engine number is not in the recall list along with 100s of others who have lodged investigations with Transport Canada. They have a list of these cars from 2011-2013 that were sold with a defect. Buyers Beware. Kia knows about the issue but refuses to fix it. After the agent wished me all the best.... I can never buy or endorse Kia again.
After purchasing 40k car, I did not receive customer service that I expected. My concerns (edge guards) were ignored by service three times, sales manager failed to make sure all my issues were settled. My new car experience was ruined, and I still feel unappreciated.
I purchased a Kia Rio 2011 in August 2012 from Courtesy Ford of Rome. The hubcaps was making a flapping noise when the weather changes. Water leaking in the backseat when it rains, and water leaking in the trunk starting on November 4. Went back and forth to Terry Reid, 25 miles away from Rome. I took it four to five times to see them before it was fixed in February of 2013. The airbag light came on. I had to go to Terry Reid for them to check it. The part was ordered and fixed a month later. Two weeks ago the engine light came on and the car started to put along. Now the car powers down like it is cutting off. I feel like I got a lemon and I plan on sending it back to the people who financed it. Im not paying $352 a month for a car that is not reliable and a waste of my hardworking money. I shouldnt be having all these problems with this car. I havent had it for one year yet and everything started three months after I got it.
My daughter was in an accident 2/6/2013. She was hit on the front driver side twice. The airbags did not deploy. I bought my car in 2010 and I havent had any problems with it. I want to know why the bags did not deploy? Is there any recourse? Do you sue the Kia Motor Dealers? As of right now, I dont know if my car is totaled or not. What do you do when the car you are driving does not operate properly? My daughter is 8 1/2 months pregnant. This could have been really serious for her. She was hurt on her left side only where she was wearing her seat belt.
I give 5 starts for the sales lady and 1 star for the financing department. We made a deal with the sales lady Josslyn and she went to her manager Eric everything was set 60 months at $320 per month we get to the financing dept he goes no way that cant happen. I told him, No Eric said 60months @320 its a deal. We bought the KIA. Well, in financing it ended up 72 months at 328? My husband said not to make a scene so I said well when I come pick up the tags I will talk to the manager Eric and Josslyn. That happens yesterday 10-29-11.The financing guy said you should have told me .I informed him I did more than once he kept telling me that wasnt going to happen. So yesterday, he goes the paper work has been file so what do you want me to do. I informed him I wasnt happy the manager and sales person gives you a price and when you get back to his office whatever the manager say doesnt mean anything I dont feel that is right .This isnt the first vehicle we have gotten. He was wrong charging us one more yr I know we could have said no to the car but my husband said go ahead but if he has done it once how many other times has he done it to other customer. He had no excuse but it cant be done yet the manager gave us a discount because it was a 2011 and the finance guy didnt and wouldnt sale it to us at what the manager and sales person quoted us.
I brought my daughters ‘14 Sorento to Kia Coral Springs 5/30 for regular service as well as an evaluation of a serious situation relative to the paint peeling off several areas of the car not affected by road stones or anything other than a factory defect. I brought it first to a paint and body shop and was told in 2 minutes to bring it to Kia consumer affairs. It was in his expert opinion, clearly a factory defect issue. There were photos taken at the dealership and passed on to the local Kia representative responsible for evaluating any type of bodywork. I just heard from Kia corporate consumer affairs and because the warranty expired, regardless what caused the problem, it’s the owners responsibility. I have a friend who had the exact same situation last year with a Nissan product...also expired warranty and also a factory defect causing the paint to peel. They repainted the car and now have a loyal Nissan customer for life.As a result, I will have her car painted and promptly trade it in for anything other than another Kia product. I will share this story of a very short-sighted company with anyone contemplating the purchase of a Kia in the future. The reverse would have been true if this company was more open minded and interested in promoting goodwill. Their fault, but easy way out was turn a blind eye to what’s right and hide behind “their” warranty protection. Kia, one and done!
It makes me sick to watch the sandman Kia commercial. My young daughters watched that. What is wrong with you people? It’s so degrading for women. Cant our children watch television without being bombarded by sex? Geez, its about a car, not about sex. It makes me sick. What have you become, numb to morals. Im the Virgin Mary, but we have to start drawing the line somewhere. I will never buy a Kia now, just for the fact of the commercial. I will do everything in my power to talk people out of supporting any company that does that.
One of our customers at our shop has a 100k mile warranty on her vehicle and her Valve Body went bad at 94000 miles. It is a part that should be covered under warranty. She has kept up on all of the maintenance on her vehicle per the warranty booklet and has records to prove it. Peak Kia was awful to deal with. They suggested replacing the Transmission and that it wasnt going to be covered under warranty. The grand total was 4000 dollars. The assistant service manager was a complete jerk. He stated that if she didnt have 3 Transmission services at 30k, 60k, and 90k then her warranty was void. I read the warranty book a few times to make sure I wasnt missing anything. She was supposed to at 90k for normal driving conditions. The book stated at 30k and 60k the Transmission should be serviced if the car is driven in severe conditions. Her car is not. We have been trying to get this covered since June. I have spoke to the corporate office in July and still havent received any word from them. Completely unacceptable! She has called multiple dealers as well as corporate and has only heard back today just to tell her they are still working on it. Come on, seven months. Here is what I have gathered from the situation. Kia could care less about their customers. Kia would rather lose a customer than please a customer.
My wife took our car to Kia for a performance issue. Under the warranty, they repaired the issue which was a cylinder coil but told her that the MotorCraft spark plugs used by Jiffy Lube in her last tune-up would have to be replaced at our cost. They told her we would have to pay to have the proper Champion/KIA plugs installed. According to MotorCraft, these are the proper spark plugs for her make and model. Will they next be telling me what brand of motor oil to use when I get an oil change? I thought it was illegal to force someone to buy specifically branded parts.
Kia says that I am not entitled to a rebate that has recently been given out for their vehicles, not providing the MPG that was claimed. The sticker of my vehicle claimed 34 highway/28 city, when in actuality, I am getting about 30 highway/25 city with an overall average of about 27 MPG with my driving habits which are conservative. All other Kia Souls are on the list to receive a rebate, but mine is not. Funny thing about it is that I remember thinking that I wasnt receiving the advertised MPG long before all of this became newsworthy. Thanks in advance.
During a service oil change at 30,000 miles, I was presented with an affidavit from KIA stating that I must pay $275.95 every 15,000 miles in order to keep my KIA warranty in effect and this had to be signed. This charge is to check the valves for carbon build up. If I don’t do this the warranty will be nullified. This new requirement is 2 years after the purchase of my KIA Sorento. This is a new action after the fact and KIA is charging the customer to keep it in effect. This was not a condition of our original warranty. Since this was the first time it was implemented, my dealer, Martin Swanty in Kingman, AZ discounted this charge to $179.00 plus tax.
At 12,300km my 2014 model Kia soul encounter a problem with the gearbox. I booked in the vehicle at the Kia Tokai Multi Franchise 021 7132413 on the 13th of August. It has now been 3 months and is still waiting for my vehicle due to parts or whatever story they telling me. I feel that I have as a customer been treated very Unprofessional and that a vehicle with such low mileage should have been replaced. I spoke to Kia South Africa customer care but was of absolute no help. Please, if theres anyone of a authority reading this message, please help.
I purchased a 2018 Kia Sorento from Hudson Kia in Jersey City, NJ, at the end of June 2018. As I write this review, it is December 3rd, 2018. They didnt pay off my trade-in vehicle for 45+ days. The payoff was then shorted, leaving me with a rolling balance due to my former finance company. Although Kia said they would rectify with the finance company, they did NOT and I just found out it went to collections, ruining my rebuilding credit. They were supposed to submit my registration as a transfer tag. Instead, after waiting almost 2 months, I received a brand new license plate. I had already paid the year registration on my old tag. Thus, Im out $350 for a tag I didnt need and taking a loss on the registration Id already paid for the former tag. I was told at sale that I could move my payment date to mid-month from end of month after making my 1st payment. When I tried with Kia Finance, I was told this isnt an option on leases. So the finance rep LIED to complete the sale. Now my payments are perpetually 3 weeks late monthly bc of my payroll cycle. I was supposed to receive free oil changes. Yet I cant seem to get anyone on the phone from their service department. I paid $90 for a synthetic oil change (trying to be responsible), only to be told that since I had it serviced elsewhere, it voids the offer... even though I have yet to be in contact with their service department. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MATS FOR MY VEHICLE. They cant even be bothered to rectify something as simple as this and its almost 6 months later! I could go on, but Ill stop here.Ive called the dealership more times than I can count and spoken to several people who assured me they would take care of it. Yet not a single item has been rectified. Not one. I also filed a complaint with Kia Customer Service and not one person ever followed up with me. To make matters worse, I practically hate this vehicle. Im currently searching ways to get out of this god awful lease Im in at this point. Ive purchased several vehicles over my lifetime. This experience has been the absolute worse! I wish I could rank ZERO stars.
I have a 2011 Kia Sorento that acts like it’s not getting fuel or not changing gears. I took it into the dealership for this and they changed something in the shifter. For a few weeks it seemed fixed. When it began to act up again I called dealership and was told that I had brought my car in for a different reason and now that my warranty was up I would be required to pay for any service that I had done. I was asked what kind of light was coming on when the car acts up. I told them that no light comes on. Then I was pretty much told that I was stupid. If my car is doing like I was saying then there had to be a light on. My car just gets worse and worse. Sometimes it’s going along fine and then the rpm jumps to 5 or 6 and the car acts like its down shifting and doesn’t want to go. Then the rpm will drop below 1. Sometimes when you take off from a stop sign or traffic light it shifts really hard and makes a clunking noise like the transmission is going to fall to the ground. I too like a lot of others, chose the Kia for the great warranty, but when the dealership is always saying there’s nothing wrong that makes the warranty useless. Just because I’m female doesnt mean I’m stupid. And I dont like being treated that way.
The vehicle started knocking at 9345 miles and when it drives slow.
My leased Kia had a seized engine THREE weeks ago. Still in shop. No ETA on repair. Kia customer service NON existent to me. Do NOT purchase anything from this company. They do NOT care about consumers.
I bought a 2011 Kia Sorento. When I first bought the car, it had an acceleration problem. And now it has an internal engine problem and Kia’s warranty does not want to cover the problem. It is a brand new car. I can’t believe that I bought a Kia and this was going to happen after only 12,000 miles of me driving it. This is too much. It has caused me and my family a whole lot of stress. I can’t believe it. It’s like a nightmare. It’s too much for a single, hard working mom of 5. I believed in Kia and their warranty. I thought about it and what else was going to be better than a 10-year warranty, 100 miles bumper-to-bumper? I guess not.
I own a 2013 KIA Rio Ex. I had many problems with the car. I always take it in to get the routine repairs, oil changes, brakes etc. One day on a really cold day my rear brakes locked up on the road (wheels dragging on the road), thankful that it happened on the side road. Had to get it towed to dealership and getting that call to say that it was my problem, cost me 539 dollars to fix and it took them a week to get the parts for the car. Since Feb 2014 I have spent 1400 dollars in repairs with a car still under warranty. It has also has had problem with the UVO system going for a 3rd unit tomorrow. Stay away from KIAs they are garbage.
I actually have not had a problem with my 2016 Kia Sorrento. It now has 40K miles and it has been relatively trouble free. Dealership was good and provided good service. Not so with Kia customer service. I exercised my purchase option over 50 days ago and have struggled getting a title from them or getting any assistance with temporary tags as the old tags expired. For anyone exercising your option to purchase make sure you do it through your dealership and not directly with Kia as they are completely inept and not helpful.
I traded in 2012 Kia Soul for a 2015 Kia Soul Plus. I got the car in June and I have been listening to the 3 month free promotion of Sirius Radio. I did not even notice that my new Kia has no CD player, until the other day when I went to put in a CD. I was completely shocked. My 2012 Kia did have it and I thought that the CD player was standard. I was not told when I leased this new 2015 Kia that there was no CD player. I feel that the salesman should have pointed that out to me. I am extremely disappointed and now I am looking through stores to see if I can buy a portable one to put in my car. I understand that changes are sometimes made, but a change like this should have been brought to my attention when I leased this car. This is a feature, for me, that is very important.
I rear ended a woman, of course on accident but the impact was so hard that I couldnt find my glasses and my chest was hurting. At first not so bad but as this day wears on, it gets worse. I was wondering why the bags did not go off. Had I not been wearing seat belts I know for a fact that my head would have gone through the windshield. Other than that, I really loved that car. It had about close to 100,000 miles on it. I should have taken pictures. It was totaled after all the money I put into it. Very disappointed.
I have put up with 5 years of extremely poor customer service and vehicle service with KIA, Northland, Calgary. I have completed numerous surveys outlining my negative experiences and have never heard back once from KIA Canada. This last issue started on May 22, 2014, when I brought my car in for regular maintenance and to get the the defrost fixed as no air was blowing through the defrost vents. When I left I was told they had to order a part. I brought my vehicle back on June 13th. It was in the shop all afternoon. When I picked my car up I was told it was all fixed and right on the invoice it states retested all good. When I got in my car it was exactly the same, it was not fixed at all. Shane, the manager, came out and had a look and witnessed that the defrost was not working at all, no air was coming from the defrost! He changed a very dirty filter in the glove compartment. Of course I was very angry that I was told it was fixed and it was not, as the previous year I had the exact same experience but that time I had to bring my car back 3 times before it was fixed. Twice I was told verbally and in writing on the invoice, the problem was fixed when it was not. That is another KIA experience for another time. At this time I was told they would order every part possible to ensure it get fixed as now they are not sure what the problem is. So Shane said they will call when the part the comes in which should be within the next couple of weeks. I did not hear back from KIA at all. Finally I called KIA on Tuesday, August 26th (almost two months later) and spoke to Shane. He stated he would find out what was happening and call me back later in the day or first thing the next day. No return call, I finally called on Friday August 29th at 5 PM. I had to leave a message as all agents were busy so I left a very pointed message that I expected a call back regarding my issue. Their message indicated they were open till 5:30 PM. I did not get a return call from Shane until Monday at which time I was told the part would be in Tuesday or Thursday for sure and he would call me on one of those days to set up a time to come in. NO RETURN CALL YET AGAIN. I called today Monday, Sept 8 at 4:30 PM and spoke to Shane. And yes I was beyond angry, it is now snowing and cold and I have no defrost in my vehicle. I Do not believe the part was on back order. I do believe they did not order the part. Even if it was on back order not once was I contacted over the summer nor were calls ever returned as promised. I have had to initiate every contact during this whole issue. This does not really surprise me as the last 5 years (for warranty) I have dealt with much of the same and worse. I will never buy another KIA based on the horrible customer service and the apparently incompetent mechanics they employ. After all this time I even question whether or not the maintenance they say they do is actually done.
I was at your website, OxenDaleForThePeople.com and it sent me here. I am sad to say that after sending you a letter about a bad deal we received from your Prescott Valley dealership, we gave them another try and got yet another bad car! On Saturday, August 4th, we bought a Kia Rio. On Monday, August 6th, I was stranded on the side of the road in Phoenix in an area I had never been before with a dead car. As it turned out, the engine seized. After having 2 more engines put in it - both of which either seized or didnt drive above 40 mph - we still have no vehicle. After asking to have our money and car back, we were blown off and told that the warranty company was providing us with a rental. We dont want a rental. We simply want this nightmare to be over so that we can find a reliable and trustworthy vehicle from a trustworthy dealership. I would like to get this resolved and have a happy outcome for everyone. As a teacher, I do not have a lot of money and definitely do not have any extra money! Buying that car used my entire savings and I have nothing in return except for another bad experience at your dealership. I will never buy or allow anyone I know to buy from this company again, ever! They tell you in the commercials that they inspect every vehicle. We now know it is to make sure a customer can drive it off the lot so they can pass it off to them and say, too late, its yours!
Do enjoy navigating bad telephone menus and listening to worse music for hours on end, while praying that a minimum-wage customer service rep will pick up? Then you will love Kia Motors Finance. Impossible to deal or even communicate with. I will pay off my vehicle, even though financially disadvantageous, to avoid dealing with these incompetents ever again. Avoid like the plague.
I bought a car at Car Pros Kia. They never notified me that the car had a recall until I went for my first inspection after 3 months!!! I found out that the car that I bought was a DEMO and they never told me that. They sold it as a new car. I was so stressed out that I did not even see the miles that the car had on until the next day. I took a picture of it -- 75 miles that I did not drive!!! They wrote on my contract 8 miles!!! I trusted them and they took advantage of me. The warranty that I bought was supposed to take care of everything as the lady said from top to bottom, everything and anything and it is not true. My 3rd inspection, I will have to pay more than $400. On top of everything, they are rude. No courtesy at all. I called a sales manager called Rodrigo and he kept repeating that he was busy just because I said that I need to talk to him and he hang up on me!!! The only person that has my respect over there is the driver that took me to IKEA. Getting an attorney!
2011 Optima - We purchased this vehicle brand new 20 months ago at Big Red in Norman. No problems until approx. Jan/Feb, the engine started making bad noises. I took it to Big Red service dept. They treated us like we were idiots and they didnt hear anything. I took it back as it progressively got worse, only to be told they didnt know what the noise was but they could not fix it and sent us away. We traveled to Bob Howard Kia in Edmond, OK and wasted two weekends only to be sent away and told we never changed the oil! Its ridiculously disrespectful to us to assume we didnt take care of this brand new vehicle! We each have brand new cars and trucks in this family and each one of us care 100% for each vehicle. On time oil changes, all maintenance, etc! Finally, service manager, Todd **, said, Prove you did oil changes! Bring receipts! We spent a full week collecting as many receipts as humanly possibly! I drove back to Kia Edmond to show to service manager, Todd **, only to be told after another wasted day of waiting and given the runaround, at last he said, Oh but they didnt use Kia filters. Sorry, now I cannot help you! Nowhere does any document you sign buying a brand new car does it indicate you have to use a Kia filter only! This service manager was making things up as he went along to us! Very upset. Now, the car cannot even be driven! We need help ASAP or comments on what to do now? I contacted every single Oklahoma State Organization I could think of and Kia Edmond online several times and still not one phone call or email. Sad, sad, sad to drive a 10-year warranty vehicle along with extended warranty only to be turned down or totally ignored at every turn.
I have sent a message to customer service about my cracked bumper and I am extremely upset with the situation. Here are the pictures regarding my e-mail and I would like a response from customer service. I am an unsatisfied customer and I regret buying a car from Kia since I was not aware that the plastic was this cheap. I did not hit a snow bank nor did I run over anything. I am a very careful driver and I am not happy that the cheap bumper cracked on its own and I am extremely not happy about the incompetent Kia technicians at the Kia Montreal-North. They were arrogant and unhelpful in so many ways and blamed me, the customer, for the cracked bumper without any interest in hearing my side of the story. My e-mail is ** and I will be waiting for the prompt reply this coming week. Thank you and have a good day!
My husband and I used a premium Oil Filter (Not Kia), and a few weeks later had a knocking in the engine. I took the car to a shop up the street and was told that since we used an oil filter that was not Kia, the filter caused metal in the engine which now needs to be replaced. I called Kia Consumer affairs and explained the issue. With all the information that was sent to me in 6 years, not one piece stated that you are required to use a Kia Oil Filter. The shop that I originally took the car to had to do some research and stated that there are bulletins out that are only around 2 years old. While speaking with Consumer Affairs, I was told that the car needed to go to a Kia Dealer to be diagnosed. I then had the car towed to a local dealer which stated the same thing. Now, the kicker, they will not help in fixing the engine because I am over the 100,000-mile mark. On top of that, I am now charged a tow bill and more diagnostic fees on top of what I already paid in which they will not pay for either (since they required the car to be at a dealer for assistance). I call and call and call the Consumer Affairs lady that I have been working with, and she will not return my call until I call the 800 number and tell them I need to speak to someone or I will be going to the local media as well as any social media avenue I can. The dealer that I purchased the car from will also not honor the Engine for Life that I signed unless I can provide all receipts from the last 5 years on any maintenance that I did on the car outside of a dealer (air filter, etc). I have recently been married and the account closed. AND - who keeps their receipts for 5 years on Air Filters?? This is not only poor customer service for a loyal consumer, but the lack of follow through with what you agreed to and signed upon purchase not being honored. Other Kia owners that I have spoken with are also not Aware outside of 1 to only use Kia Oil Filters.
My wife and I drove our vehicle on a service recall with KIA motors and during the conversation on the phone my wife mentioned the right directional was not working. Anthony current manager stated that he would give my wife a quoted price of 15.00 for the bulb holder instead of the regular price of 40.00 dollars. We were both grateful for the savings as we are now retirees. When walked up to parts and service counter we asked for the right directional signal and stated to the counter rep. that Anthony quoted us 15.00 Dol. for the part, he stated that the part is 40.00 dollars not 15.00. So my wife asked to speak to Anthony. My wife introduced herself as the one he quoted the discounted price to. Anthony denied the conversation. I was there next to my wife when this conversation was taking place. I told him, Why did you quote this part price if you were not going to honor it? My wife just spoke to you on the phone. How did we know your name and asked for you if this was not so. I told him as a previous manager for a marketing firm if you lack loyalty and good customer service you wont last long as quote (manager). For this reason my wife and I have decided to stay with Folsom KIA. Their quality of SERVICE IS AMAZING!!
I have been car owner for than 18 years in Canada and always owned Toyota. I got KIA Spectra in 2005 from 401 Dixie KIA dealership. Within year, I had a heating problem; it was shutting off and turning on. I took the car to the dealer, and they checked but could not find the reason and sent me back. After a few days, in snow, I was on highway and driving when the heat got dead and I had my family with me. All the way, I was cleaning the windshield from inside with my shirt and got home. The next day, I was very angry and took the car to a dealer, and finally, they replaced the hearing coil. In the next few months, my Speedo meter was starting to jam and becoming normal again. And due to that, I got one speeding ticket and took the car to dealership but they could not find anything, since my warranty was done. My stereo got problems, and my passenger side door glass had issue (It is not working to bring it up or down). Since I got this car, it has the worst electronic problems. I will never advise to buy KIA and will never go back to KIA, and Im hoping that company will check the record for my car and offer to fix it.
I purchased a 2017 Kia Sorento brand new last year. Up until this point I was happy with my purchase and have enjoyed the vehicle. But recently I took a highway trip (car now has 19,000 miles) and it started to develop a problem with sticky steering at higher speeds. Very difficult to maintain position in the lane. My husband asked me why I was jerking the car so much, but thats what it took to keep the vehicle in the lane. I was so concerned with safety that I sacrificed part of my vacation sitting in a repair shop having them go over the front end. I was told there was nothing to check because the steering is electronic, not hydraulic. Hoping the car was safe to drive I returned home and immediately had my dealer check the problem. The dealer said there was nothing wrong and nothing to check diagnostically. Come back when it happens again, the manager said. Since then it has happened nearly every time I drive above 50 mph. After doing some research I have found this is a common problem for which KIA has no fix. Very sorry I purchased this car because not only does KIA not care about the problem, its been around for a while and they have done nothing to correct it. Time to go buy a Honda.
Kia Sorento wont start. When I get in the car to start it and push the button, everything on the inside will come on, but the engine wont turn over. I have been stranded 5 times this week, and now the piece of ** is sitting in the parking lot at work and wont start. Sometimes, if I sit there long enough, I can get it started. Several months ago, I could not get it started. I called Kia Emergency rescue and a wrecker driver showed up. He got in the car, pushed on the brake (to the floorboard) 3 times and it started right up. He said that this is a common problem with Kias and that is how you get it started. So - that is what I have been doing, but the problem is just getting worse. Two weeks ago, I was headed out of the office to my daughter in labor, and guess what - it wouldnt start. After about 15 minutes I got it started. I called service at the dealership where it was purchased, and at first they denied it, then the lady on the phone said that Kia was aware of this problem. I asked her why were the consumers not made aware of this. She had no answer. Earlier this week, again it happened. I called Kia direct and filed a complaint and was given a case number. Of course, they deny any knowledge of this problem. They asked me if I wanted the car replaced and I told them yes, but not with a Kia. That didnt go over very well. So on a Saturday, I have to get a ride to my office, pick the piece of ** up and go to the dealership with it. I have already been told they wont give me a loaner car. We will see about that tomorrow. I am very disappointed with this vehicle. Oh yes - the 3rd back up camera is out. This car is only 1 year old. Do not buy Kia. They do not back their product! As soon as I can, this thing will be traded for a more reliable vehicle.
We have a 2014 Kia Soul, now has 104,182 miles on it. Took the vehicle for an oil change on 3/21/18 and advised the shop that the vehicle had been going out in the midst of driving. They kept it for a couple of days and $100.19 later, we were told we needed a new engine, but they had new cars on sale! (That! is sarcasm.) They didnt tell us why, and quoted the new engine to be $5100+ tax. The car sat in my driveway for about a week as my husband and I debated, should we get a new car? Or get a loan to pay for a new engine? But then, if we get the new engine, what if that triggers something else to go wrong? Called Customer Affairs, created a case, took the car back to the dealership, who has ONLY been the ones to handle our vehicle, for oil changes only, as we have never had any issues.Kept the car for TWO WEEKS, never heard a word, had to call, then we got the runaround, and was told that we were denied any help from the DPSM. We escalated the case, and had to call back the next day to be told all they could do is offer $1500 off of a $6800+ engine. Mind you, we were originally quoted $5100+tax. Not only am I livid, I am out a vehicle, and have been for a month now, Ive had to put wear and tear on my other vehicle while my husband and I share it, and now have to find a way out of this KIA SOUL problem.
I have a leased Kia Soul with just over 10K miles. Oil changed and not even darkened. Was driving to pick my son up in WVa. From home, a 6 hour ride. Picked him up, stopped, got a bite to eat and headed back to NC. Drove an additional 2 hours. Engine just stopped. Left my son and I stranded in middle of nowhere in WVa. Car was towed to dealer in Charleston where I have been told I must have struck something in the rode. Busted radiator! I never hit a damn thing not even a pot hole! Had to get a rental to get back to NC. I have no eyes on the damage. Asked for pix and have received none to date. Does the term rip off mean anything? The first service manager stated they saw no damage of anything being struck... Now the second one says yes! This is crap! Now my insurance says they may not pay to have the motor repaired/replaced. So I may have a car that Im paying a monthly rental fee on that doesnt run! What happens when the rental agreement expires?
I purchased a 2013 new Kia Soul in December 2012. I took the car the Kia to have it looked at because it ran hot once so I didnt drive it again until I took it to the dealer. Let me add, I am still until factory warranty and have about 69,000 miles on the Kia. I was told that the engine was gone. I said how so when I had maintenance done. KIA denied to fix my car and states I have to 5665.00 to get my car fix, in which the used engine is 2115.00, 954.00 for test ran on the car and the rest is labor and parts. I hope this helps someone. My car is still at Kia and I dont know what else to do.
It has been two months since I turned in my lease. At the time of turning in my lease, I was informed by the dealership that KIA MOTOR FINANCE would assist in creating an installment payment plan. Well, I was misinformed, and KIA MOTOR FINANCE is not willing to help a customer who recently got another lease from Kia. My wifes contract is coming up as well, and I was thinking of leasing another KIA vehicle, but after being just notified that KIA MOTOR FINANCE is not willing to assist with any payment plan and is ready to report it to the credit bureau, I see what type of COMPANY they are running. All they care is ruining someones credit who is willing to pay the debt off. Note, I am still making my monthly payments and have since I turned the car in January of this year. In conclusion, KIA FINANCE is not willing to work with anyone, and all they care is about their necks. Thanks, Kia for helping out a customer and a VET.
I like my 2013 Kia Sorrento. Its a great car. But I do not like that the vents in the third row were removed from this model. 2011 Sorrento has them. I have to use the third row and twice already my 6 year old and 4 year old have complained they do not get air back there. They get dizzy, light headed, nauseated, vomited! And felt weak. In this CA heat that is not safe!!! I am worried for my children. And avoid driving if its hot. Thats not ok. Ive only had the car 1 year.
Our 2015 Kia Sorento is sitting with a seized engine and Kia is NOT covering it (even with an extended warranty). They want to charge us between $7000 and $8000 to fix it! After doing lots of research we find out this is the exact same defect that exists in the 2014, 2013 and 2012 which were all recalled by the way! What will it take to recall this?
Ive been buying a Kia since I was younger. And now I have had problems. First I had my back tire lock on me. Went to Kia and they told me that my car warrant was not in effect. Then my air conditioner went out and same no warrant, They said that 2 yrs ago. And now my clutch. My car is only 5 yrs old. And at this time Im at 10005 miles so again they say Im over just 5. I believe you owe me. Damn it. Wow I never had problems with a Kia. So how can I not have warrant back then when I was under 1000. You people are all lies... I will never buy another Kia again. I have not miss one payment or never been late. I cant wait to pay this car off and sell it.
Everything the other reviewers are saying is true. First of all the dealer coerced me to pay 900.00 over the sticker price. Before that they distracted me while their assoc. went to the car I chose, a base model ,and tried to change the sticker price from 13,000 to 15,000. When I objected they changed it back. Then the first thousand or so miles the steering wheel and tires would freezing / lock up while turning while driving incredulously. A few times I almost drove into vehicles or caused major accidents. Consumer assistance was no help at all. They refused to fix the problem saying they could not duplicate the issue. So I contacted dvohs to file a formal complaint. Then the vehicle wouldnt start at all many times, I had to call for jumps and tows sometimes in freezing weather. At ten thousand miles the clutch failed and had to be completely replaced. Now at 46,000 miles the car needs to be pushed down the hill just to get it to drive. Kia consumer hassle stated that the promises of bumper to bumper warranty does not exist. We are sorry they misled you that way. The warranty only covers the powertrain. The promise of free tires for the lifetime of the vehicle a total lie. They stated they are not obligated to honor any promises made by their representatives. The repairs at 46,000 miles which will be my total financial responsibility. They denied ever receiving previous calls at consumer assistance which is appalling. The dealership Columbus Ga hung up the phone in my face when I described my situation and refused to answer any more of my calls or voicemails. Kia refuses to honor their PROMISES TO customers and blatantly admit their claims of 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty is a complete lie. Never buy Kia. If you have one trade it in for something else or you will be hung out to dry. The attorney general, Better Business Bureau, and consumer affairs have abandoned the Kia consumers. I will be saddled with bills I never expected for a car that is obviously a lemon and will never ever function properly. I spent my entire savings paying for this car. Now I have no money and soon at 46,000 miles no car or money to fix the car. There is no justice for KIA Soul owners either.
Not happy with 2015 SUV Sorento. Has heated seats but no Automatic lights - was not told about this.
I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento from Drivetime in October 2018. In less than a year my cars engine seized up in August 2019, due to a recall dating back to 2014. My car was towed to kia and stayed there for a month, in that time I was not offered a rental car but had to pay out of pocket for one, A bill that exceeded $1,000 not to mention I had to continue to pay the car note on a car I didnt have. I received the car back in late September and was directed to the kia.com website to file my reimbursement claim. The claim took two months to process and yet here we are in January 2020 and I still dont have the money in which I provider full documentation for. The customer service line is the worst, they seem to have little to NO KNOWLEDGE on whats going on. Its ridiculous. I wouldnt recommend this company to ANYBODY!!!
I purchased a 2012 Kia Sorento back in November of 2017. After seeing the vehicle had been well maintained on the Carfax and it had low mileage of around 75,000 I felt confident the vehicle would be a reliable long term purchase for me and my family. Now just months later in May 2018 the vehicle spontaneously shut down while driving last week. Fortunately for me I on road with parking lot I could safely roll into and stop. This may not be the case if this happens to another vehicle who may be on a high traffic interstate, high speed roadways, etc. After having it towed to the local Kia dealership I am being told it needs an entire new engine. After a little research, I noticed a Kia Sorento engine failure recall for 2012-2014 due to poor engine manufacturing assembly from leaving debris in engine. After contacting Kia consumer affairs I was told my VIN was not included in this recall. However, they settled on covering half of the $4,000+ repair. If they know they are at fault, why not pay repair in entirety? They claim it is not covered under a warranty and I am ‘fortunate’ they covered as much as they did. I just wanted to educate anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle. Steer clear of Kia or Hyundai products unless you can justify buying a new engine before 90,000 miles. I am now going on my THIRD week of having to pay for a rental vehicle because Sorento is still is not repaired. Between the weekly vehicle rental fees, time and hassle, towing fees and the unpronounced $2,000+ for an engine repair I am beyond frustrated at the lack of customer safety concern and service. Please share this to friends and family. Even if this helps just one person not have to go through this situation in the future it was worth my time writing and sharing it.
If you have a Windows Phone do not buy a Kia. They do not have an APP that works with the UVO eServices - customer service of UVO cannot help you. The best way to fix the UVO problem for Windows Phones is for Kia or Microsoft to produce an APP. It shouldnt be so difficult and it should not cost that much. When they sell you the car they do not tell you that they only have apps from Google Play and Apple Store but none from Windows.
Went in for routine maintenance and came out with issues with my tires, when I did not ask them to touch the tires. Contacted Destination Kia and they were no help whatsoever. I called four times and Im still waiting for their service manager to call me back (from March). I contacted Kia Corporate by letter. Received a call regarding my letter about 1-1/2 weeks after sending letter. I called the following week and had to leave a message. Ive waited three weeks for a return call and nothing so I called back again. Person handling my case wasnt available so the woman who answered the phone said, I see in the notes that Destination Kia offered you help. I said to her, Ummm, no, they didnt. She said, Well, its here in the notes. So I said, So thats it. Complete silence on her end.So my complaint is that Destination Kia and their corporate office seem to have no regard for their customers safety. I could have been in a very serious accident based on what they did to my car, and all they are concerned about is that they tried to help - WHEN THEY DIDNT. My vehicle went in with no issues and came out messed up! I will not buy another Kia just based on the fact they dont care about their customers.
Bought a 2016 Kia Sorento 10/2017. Was traveling for work related activity in FL. Engine seized. Had to be towed to nearest KIA in SE Alabama. Car has been down since 12/18/2018. KIA states will replace motor. But they dont seem to understand that when an original motor is pulled from a vehicle and the mileage on the chassis and body differs, the title becomes what is known to the States and lenders as a Salvaged title. You lose if any but all trade in value. Also articulating the circumstance to a future buyer can be complicating in itself. I will state for the record that this is my third KIA. First was a 14 Soul, 16 Optima I bought brand new left the lot with only 17 miles on the motor, at 40, was told the engine has a recall and would fail due to improper oil delivery system, so I trade up to the 16 Sorento, and well well, here we are at 22,miles and what do we have once again. A LEMON. KIA is ripping off American Consumers and should be banned from conducting business in the USA. They need to pack up and go back to Seoul. This is part of what is wrong with our economy. And the personal debt ceilings rise and rise, due to inadequate products, as soon as one car is paid for it breaks and time to repurchase again. We need to get back to the basics and make cars like they use to. I’ve got a 96 Chevy that runs as if it was just driven off the lot. Wake UP America.
Purchased my Sorento 1 1-2 ago and have already had to replace Engine, brakes and rotors twice and now part of the transmission is bad. Kia doesn’t seem to care or want to help me. Think twice before you purchase a Kia vehicle. They will break and break on you and you will be too far upside down to unload it.
Purchased a 2014 Kia Sorento in May 2013 and due to a storm it was immediately unable to be driven. This is when I found out that there are no parts in the US to repair the vehicle. They said it is made in the US but all the parts are in Korea...figure that one out. Calls to KIA corporate are not returned. KIAs website will not let you complete their form and submit it as I tried from 3 different computers. If you are considering a Korean vehicle, think again.
Bought new Kia Soul 2014. Very hard to see out of when I am changing lanes. The wide right rear panel block view. I have had starting problems since October 2015. I never go anywhere without my jumper cables. In November 2015 I had to leave the car at dealership for 3 days so they could try to figure out the problem. They decided I needed a new battery. I am still having starting problems. I brought the car in last month they said there is no problem. Yesterday had to have it jumped 3 times. Im disgusted.
I have a 2008 Kia this is the 2nd Time this happened. When you fill up the car, it brakes down and cuts off. It is about $700 bill . Please help.
Recently our daughter left the overhead and parking lights on overnight, draining the battery. Normally that would not have been a big deal. However, the car was parked in a carport and COULD NOT be moved out of it to get a jump start because the car could NOT be taken out of Park into Neutral!!! It took about a dozen calls to find a service station that had a portable jump system to come out and get the 2014 Kia Sorento started, causing my wife to miss a doctors appointment.
Theres an oil leakage at the rear of the oil pan, and it started at about 1,800 miles. I had the vehicle back for three times already, and the problem is still not alleviated. The car has just 7,000 miles on it. I havent heard from KIA for about two weeks after an official contacted me via email.
We bought a 2013 Kia Sorento from Keffer Kia in Mooresville, NC. This car had 37,000 miles on it and it was burning oil. We took it to Keffer Kia and Kia recommended an engine change. We have a warranty that we pay for and Kia refused to cover it. These people are scammers they take your money and give you nothing in return. Kia wanted us to pay over $200.00 just to find out what the actual problem was so they could deny it. Never buy anything off of these people.
I went to make a phone call thru my Bluetooth and my radio shut off and wont come back on. I checked the fuse and it was fine. When I went to the Kia Store on Preston Highway in Louisville KY they acted like they didnt even care. I got this car (2017 Kia Soul) brand new with 5 miles on it. If anyone else has had this problem please tell me how to fix it.
I purchased a 2019 Kia Stinger a few months ago. I had a small accident and my car is still at the shop waiting for parts that Kia does not have for their own cars. I just got off a call with the incompetent representative telling me there is nothing they can do and my part will arrive in MARCH! My brand new KIA Stinger 2019 luxury car is going to sit for 6 months because KIA does not have fenders???? I will NEVER buy KIA again!!! Disgrace!
