Dents And Scratches
If you use your vehicle, it's going to endure some wear and tear. And when it comes to small dents and scratches, it's not so much a matter of if they're going to happen, but when they're going to happen. Yes, you could file a claim with your insurance company to have the body damage repaired, but that's usually a bad idea when you consider you'll have to come up with the deductible money before anything is covered. Then, of course, there's the risk you take of your insurance premium rates increasing. But the good news is that minor dents can be easily fixed by working to suction them out of the vehicle body. For scratches, you can purchase a scratch-repair product or even look to acquire a paint that's the exact match of your vehicle to fill in the affected area.

Streaky Windshields
Is your windshield streaking when you activate the wipers in rainy or snowy weather? If so, it's something that you want to correct so your vision isn't impeded when driving your vehicle. The most common culprit of a streaky windshield is an easy one to resolve: windshield wipers. Wiper blades wear and tear over time, and any gap between the blade and your windshield has the potential to lead to streaks when the wipers are activated. Windshield wipers are affordable, ranging anywhere from $12 to $30 per blade, and can be purchased at any automotive retail store. They're also easy to replace, as most just snap into place. In addition to ensuring your windshield wipers are in good condition, it's also important to make sure your wiper fluid levels are always in good standing.

Steering Issues
It's not hard to realize whether there's a steering issue with your vehicle, as it's pretty obvious. Some common steering issues include vibrations while driving, difficulty turning the wheel, a loose steering wheel, strange noises while driving or the vehicle seemingly pulling to one side as you're driving. If you're experiencing any of these issues, be sure to have your vehicle serviced right away. Any issue that impacts steering poses a major risk to your safety and the safety of other drivers on the road. In some cases, steering issues may be nothing more than poorly inflated tires. In other situations, they could be caused by suspension problems.

Uneven Tire Tread Wear
Uneven tire tread wear has the potential to be both a safety issue and an expense. For instance, tires that are too worn can lead to stopping issues and cause a greater risk of hydroplaning. It can even be a sign of bad wheel bearings. Then, there's the expense factor, as new tires may be necessary for those that are excessively worn beneath safe tread limits. To ensure your tires are wearing evenly, it's best to have them regularly rotated. Typically, the suggested rotation frequency is every other oil change. When your tires are rotated, mechanics will also be able to assess whether any other factors may be causing uneven wear.

Busted Starter Motor
Do you hear a grinding sound when you start your car? If so, it could be because the starter motor has worn out. If this is the case, it won't engage properly and could potentially cause damage to the engine flywheel. Slow or laborious cranking is another sign of a bad starter motor. Starters vary in how long they last. In some cars, they can last for up to 200,000 miles. In others, they may only last for 30,000 or so. The good news is that when it breaks down, it's a fairly reasonable fix.

Purge Control Valve Issues
The purge control valve is part of the EVAP system of a vehicle, which works to prevent vapors inside the fuel tank from escaping into the atmosphere. Instead of emitting these vapors into the atmosphere, they're pumped into the engine during certain driving conditions, where they're burned there. However, it's common for the purge valve not to fully close, which can cause problems, such as rough starting or problems running once the engine turns over.

Worn Brake Pads
Worn brake pads are a common, often dangerous, car issue. Brakes wear down over time - it's just a fact of driving. But worn-down brake pads tend to be one of the more dangerous common car issues. That's because any sort of delay in braking, no matter how small, can pose a serious safety hazard. Hence, it's important to change your brake pads at the manufacturer's recommendation (usually around 50,000 miles) and take note of any signs and symptoms that may indicate unsafe levels of brake pad wear.

Shortly after I got the car the brake booster went out. They supposedly fixed it. I am still having problems with it. Took it back to have it looked at again and they said there was nothing wrong with it. Im still experiencing problems with the same brake booster and I dont know what to do. They say theres nothing wrong with it but obviously there is. Sorry but there is nothing good to say about this car!

Ive been driving trucks for 15 years and the last 9 Ive had a GMC. I loved that truck and when the transmission started to go I decided to buy a new Chevrolet. I decided to buy a Chevy. The truck was dropped of to me by someone at the dealership and had 300 miles on it most of witch from the drive to my house. From the moment I took my first drive (after I already owned it) it was shaking. It always shakes but sometimes its really bad and dangerous. I told the dealership right away and they fed me a lot of lies. They 100% agree its shaking but wont fix it or do anything for me. They changed my tires and my truck drove worse than before. I filed 2 claims with Chevy. One asking for a buy back and they denied my claim. Also one for some kind of trade assistance and they offered me $1,500.00. This truck has had other issues since I got it. The check engine light has come on twice and had to be turned off by the dealer. Also the steering wheel tilts to the left even after being aligned multiple times. I would not suggest buying a Chevy. Not only are they not good quality. Chevy does not stand by their products and warrantys. This had been a terrible experience and its nowhere near over.

I purchased a new Chevrolet for reliability and to transport my family. Ive had it for 2 months and 2k miles and its been nothing but a nightmare and headache. Its been at a dealership 3 different times for multiple days at a time and Ive been given no loaner. So now instead of me being able to provide transportation for my family back and forth to school Im unable to do that. This is absolutely ridiculous and horrible. I chose a new GM vehicle over your competitors and its been the biggest mistake of my life.

I like that my Chevrolet is a pickup truck. It was an affordable price, an individual sale, and what was needed for our home. Its a full size truck that we are able to haul the materials we need for home repairs, to use for work, and it also has the full back seat and third door so we can take the grandchildren to the park or out to eat. A good benefit when you only have one vehicle to use in your home. I wish it has a fourth door for when you are in a hurry, like when it might be raining and you need to get the children in the house quickly and they are trying to get out at the same time or when you have groceries that need to be brought in then and cant wait. And also, have a little more leg room. Other than that, its a good vehicle that serves me well

We have bought several trucks for our lawn service and the Chevy has been the most reliable, comfortable and best looking. We are considering buying another Chevrolet Silverado in the near future. The Silverado seems to be the most solid and stable truck we have ever owned. The new Chevrolet Silverados are very nice to look at as well, very stylish and modern. The safety of the Silverado was a huge concern as well since we use the truck to tow our camper and our grandchildren in the summer.

The build quality seems to be good but not perfect. The same with performance. I love the Chevy Volt. The battery gives us enough range on a full charge to get almost anywhere during the average day. Its quiet and runs smoothly with lots of power. There have been problems, of course. While the software is generally great, the entertainment center software had big problems. Software updates have helped a lot. And, we had a problem where the transmission control unit short-circuited. Thats pretty much it in a nutshell.

This is a great car but the overall experience is marred by some petty greed. The car comes with the ability to remote start; check battery, location, lock unlock; etc. This all comes with a internet connection through AT&T. They want between $180 to $420 per year to keep this service active. Thats absurd. My Ford provides these services free of charge. I understand that OnStar operators need to be paid but I am talking about basic tech services here. Is my car charged? When was it last driven? etc. I would love all that OnStar has to offer but I am unwilling to pay for it. Why cant Chevy provide basic informational services like Ford does for free?

My husband and I purchased this vehicle after a car accident totalled our other one. Bought this car used and began noticing issues. We have had to replace the torque sensor which was $600 alone. Many Chevy vehicles were recalled for this issue. Today I get a letter in the mail telling me that the side impact airbag was recalled. But heres the catch, they will only replace it free of charge if its under 150,000 miles. The vehicle was over that when we bought the car! Airbag light has been on for some time now... I tried calling Chevy customer service and got nowhere. They asked me repeatedly what the letter said. So after reading it to them 4 times and being told there was no issue, yet Im holding the letter in my hands that I just opened. I hung up. This by far has been my worst car owning experience ever! I feel that there should be something in place for people that are buying these cars used, my safety is just as important as that of someone purchasing a brand new Chevy vehicle!

Driving a 2019 Chevrolet Impala has been a mixed experience. It had a very smooth and comfortable ride. The seat, which appeared to be ergonomically designed, actually hurt my back after a few minutes. The transmission generally was efficient and smooth, but without warning occasionally jerked or failed to accelerate sufficiently from a stop. The arm rest on the console was too high and my elbow hit it every time I made a right turn. And the drivers side mirror was huge and blocked my forward vision when I made a left turn. Too bad GM killed this car. 2018 is the last year for the 6 speed manual. Not even available in the 2019, and now, GM thought it was a great marketing move to kill all of their cars that normal people can afford. My car has been very reliable, and on a recent Buffalo to Chicago trip, averaged nearly 50 MPG. It also has a great deal of useable power and torque with the manual box. A 1.3 litre turbo 4 is not the slug you might expect. I dont want an SUV or truck of ANY kind. I want a car thats fun to drive and handles well. Thats why GM is getting it back in a week when my lease is up - and isnt leasing me anything else. After leasing me my last 4 cars. Ive replaced it with a 21 year old car in excellent condition, which pays for itself in about a year of not making payments. Now I can buy something really fun instead - another motorcycle!

We purchased a 2014 current and last style Impala to be manufactured. The Impala was driven less than 12000 miles. The automobile has all the bells and whistles save factory navigation. We enjoy each and every amenities on this vehicle save one item. Im not a real fan of low profile tires. We will soon remedy the low-profile malady by downsizing from 245 45 r19 to a 17 in wheel which will be very close in total circumference with a much higher sidewall. This will provide a much gentler ride over bumps, bumps and road imperfections and still odometer and transmission will operate correctly. I am currently researching correct replacement wheel so as to accommodate the larger brakes on this vehicle. Offset and bolt pattern must be adhered too. I really believe in days to come current SUV fanatics will come to realize the sedan was a good buggie. For the life of me I do not understand and yet I do. They must be trained at this! Most of the time they try to insinuate that youre at fault and you should pay for the repair! Or the problem is a figment of your imagination! Not just with GMC/Chevy, Also w/ Honda. Most vehicles are built well enough to just get them pass their extended warranties! All in all my GMC 3500 extended Savanna van has given my family and I two wonderful trips From Jersey to Key Largo towing two Wave runners, Full Scuba equipment for three, Fishing poles and tackle! We removed the seat behind the front seats out to give us more room for traveling (great idea!!!). My friends l take on fishing and golf trips seats six w/ one sleeping in the rear seat!!! The one in the rear seat love it!!!

Fraudulent sales. In late October I purchased a vehicle from Herb Easley Chevrolet in Wichita Falls. I found the car online. I talked to a salesman and we reached a deal. The deal was 3%+ interest, 300+ per month for 60 months. I was out of town. The salesman mailed me the papers to my job site. When I received them, the note was for 72 months. My wife texted the salesman and said that was not what we agreed on. We wasn’t buying the car for 72 months. The salesman stated it was a financial department mistake. When we come to get the car, the papers will be for the 60 months. We show up to sign the papers and get the car. The financial guy had the papers printed out. I looked at them and they were correct and then I signed. They were as stated above for the 60 months. He went to put the papers in a folder and said he was out of folders, for us to go with the salesman and have him show us about the car while he found one. After the salesman showed us the car, another salesman brought us the paperwork in the folder. I never looked at it again. I went to pay it off and the bank said the note was for 72 months. This is what I claim the dealership did. They had the 72 months paperwork, then, they printed another paper with the 60 months as well. They showed me the 60 month one. I did not calculate the 60 month and the payment to see what it totals. The totals were the same on both contracts. Like everyone else, I just paid attention to the monthly payment and amount of payments. Once signed, they shredded the 60 month one and put the 72 month in my folder they had to go look for. This is all possible because they don’t have financial contracts that are put together. They use single page typing paper. I told the dealership I could show her exactly how they did it. She claimed their dealership would not do that. Strange that both employees somehow don’t work their anymore and they are under new management since I was in there. It’s not rare salesman come and go, but the financial guys usually stay a long while. I strongly recommend you not shopping at this dealership and I hope General Motors will investigate as well when I notify them.- [ ]

I got the Chevrolet for cheap and was in need of a vehicle. The parts are not expensive and easy to find as well. And Vermont is where I live and there are plenty of Chevy dealers around and mechanics dont mind working on Chevys so thats a plus. Everyone loves American made cars. Cheap and easy. The car stereo is not very great though. And there is nothing electric about the car. The windows even have manual rollers on them. The windshield wipers kind of are not very good either but that doesnt really have to do with the model car. The wheel baron is going and that sucky. It has minor problems like the window and door wont open but the rust under it I dislike the most. Still, it has been one of the best cars I have owned even though its old. It has lasted me much longer than I thought it would. If I had to drive a Chevy again I would definitely choose a Chevy over many other car models out there. The engines on Chevys like to run for miles and miles.

I really love my Trax. Its roomy, but not too big or not too small. The seats are so comfortable and the sound system makes me sit-down dance in that seat! Its also a very dependable vehicle. Ive had it for 2 1/2 years and it hasnt needed any maintenance other than the standard stuff. It still looks and feels brand new! It was love at first sight with this car. I love the lines because they give the vehicle a classy yet sporty look. The hatchback is wonderful when it comes to loading, and since its covered, my stuff is protected from the sun AND the thieves! While Im happy with it, I would like a bigger console storage compartment. Also, the USB plug-in is inside the glovebox, which doesnt work well for someone like me who keeps my phone charging at all times. It doesnt look pretty with that wire sticking out of my dashboard.

My 2019 Chevy High Country has been a nightmare. Within my 1 st week owning my High Country I began to experience transmission problems. It would shift very hard between gears 3-5 up and down. I got hold of my dealer, Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield Mo, informed them of the issue, a shop foreman took a ride with me and Agreed it was not right. We set an appointment for one week out, I thought this strange to wait a week for such a serious defect, the truck got much worse during the week. I then took truck in, after 2 days I called to check on it. The dealer had not even looked at the truck, I expressed my extreme displeasure in this, my truck is my work truck and need all my tools to do my job as a home builder. I then thought it important to contact Chevy, I called customer care, they opened a case # and said a specialist would call within two days, 3 & 1/2 days later they had still not called. In the meantime I learned the truck I traded in was still at dealership, I called them and Chevy customer care and stated I am extremely unhappy with my brand new $65,000 truck having transmission issues within the first three weeks of ownership and wanted to unwind the deal. I would buy my old truck back and give them back their lemon truck that I had purchased, Reliable Chevrolet refused to not sell the trade truck, Chevy customer care, stated they would reach out to Reliable Chevrolet and see if they can help us get this resolved. In the meantime Reliable Chevrolet finally got my truck in to service and said it needed a brand new transmission. They contacted Chevrolet and they agreed and said they were shipping a new transmission. Would take 2 to 3 days for it to arrive & another day to install it.I called in in three days later to check and see if they had received the transmission only to find out that Chevrolet engineers had change their mind and said it needed a modulator part to work correctly. I was very displeased because as stated above they told me to continue to drive the truck for a week, it’s smoked, I could smell the transmission oil burning, and the hardness of the shifting had to be doing permanent damage to the truck. I have been a loyal customer of Chevrolet, for all of my personal truck and my company vehicles for employees have been Chevrolet’s. In the last 10 years I’ve purchased 25 brand new Chevrolet trucks. With my experience from this 2019 Chevrolet High Country, and the way I was treated by Reliable Chevrolet Springfield Missouri, and the very poor customer service from Chevy customer care who never did call me back until after week after Reliable Chevrolet returned my truck, I will never again purchased a Chevrolet vehicle or deal with Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield Missouri. My best advice is Buyer beware. My only voice With a large corporation like Chevrolet and this dealership which is very large in six states, is my buying power, they will no longer enjoy my business or have me or my company as customers, I have always spoken very highly of Chevrolet and actually argued with Ford owners about quality and service and brand loyalty, no more.

I like that the price was right and the gas mileage was something I could live with. I also like that it has cruise control, temperature can be regulated, and it has power windows. The purchase of this SUV was record-breaking in that it was my first SUV and the newest vehicle I had ever owned. Within a year and a half I learned that GM believes that the engines in their vehicles can only be expected to last 5 years and that it is too bad, so sad that the engine in my vehicle stopped working. Anyone I spoke to found it inconceivable that a properly serviced vehicle would need to have the engine replaced at less than 100K miles.GM believes that since I did not have one of their dealers handle the repairs for my vehicles, there is nothing they can do as only their dealership can accurately diagnosis the cause of the engine failure and due to the age of the vehicle (barely 6 years old) it is solely my responsibility. The non-GM explanation as to the cause of the engine needing to be replaced was that the number one cylinder had grenaded damaging the electrode on spark plug.

If so call dealership give them this recall code and get it replaced on their dollar. ****recall***** (It’s called a special request recall) no difference to me other than the public is unaware. Needed new pedal accelerator, sensor and a shifter, new wiring because they used glue which melted our wiring around the pedal. Chevy is scamming the recall process. Unbelievable.

Until everything started going wrong with this car. When I got the car I was told right away that I need to get the two latest recalls one for the ignition switch and the other one was for the electronic power steering motor -- which was done without delay. One month after this one of my headlights started getting water damage and both of the bulbs stopped working (150$ repair). Right after this my driver side speaker stopped working (which makes the blinker noise - another 150$ repair). The next issue that occurred was my whole power system unit stopped working (not even two months past getting the EPM recall fixed - 1200$ GM only repair) which resulted in them breaking my steering wheel cover (that they werent trying to tell me about or fix). The steering wheel was crooked and didnt drive straight (told the GM dealership and there wasnt anything wrong with it supposedly). Reported this to the appreciate channels -- Chevy shouldnt be able to get away with this kind of malfunction when the problem was identical to the EPM malfunction. Of course, no recall or any form of help came of it. Not even one month later and my gear shifter it almost getting to the point where it wont go into gear (hard almost stuck like feeling to get it into position). Once again GM dealership says that there is nothing wrong with it.Finally weeks after this issue my check engine light is on (yet to be diagnosis), have a feeling Im not going to be happy with whatever is broken this time. I seriously hate this car so much and I have low mileage. My 04 Chevy cavalier (that was burning oil, and ran dry a few times) never gave me any problems and ran like a champ. I seriously hate this Cobalt and the Chevy dealership Ive taken the cobalt to. As soon as I can Im getting rid of this car and never ever going to buy another Chevy (it use to be the only brand Ive ever bought but your newer models are lemons).Chevy found a way to get their newer models to a certain mileage and then one by one everything stops working or malfunctions! Ive never spend so much in one year on car repairs and they call the Cobalts sure money savers and even found a way for local news programs to market them like they are cherry cars. DO NOT BUY A COBALT OR ANY NEWER CHEVY MODEL-- YOURE GOING TO REGRET YOU EVER DID.

I purchased a brand new Corvette SR in June of 2019. This is a body style that has been in production for 5 years. In September, my car was hit and required body work including a headlight. I found a body shop at a dealership and confirmed all parts were available for the repair. After confirming this, the car arrived at the shop less than 3 hours later on Oct 3. The service adviser committed completion by Oct 23. I got my car a month later (11/22) due to the headlight availability. All along, NO information was available until about a week prior to completion indicating The order (Headlight) was being processed Whatever that means. Once the headlight did arrive, the car was ready for pickup within two days. When a virtually new car is tied up for a month for something that is totally within Chevrolets control, they need to accept responsibility. Here is where they broke down in this long story. 1) Parts availability information is inaccurate. The parts manager can see inventory available but when he goes to request it, the item is reserved. Visibility of a reserve is a very basic inventory function. 2) Delivery - When a backorder does occur, available to promise showing an anticipated delivery should be the norm rather than leaving a customer guessing. 3) Allocation - They would move parts to build new cars before covering service requirements. Does this make sense? Build a new car knowing full well you cannot keep it roadworthy due to material shortages.4) Customer Service - I called in my complaint on 11/21. I have had multiple contacts since then til now 12/3. Today they called and left no message. Three minutes later I get an email indicating they have been unable to contact me. I called back less than an hour later and left a message. No replay as of this writing. They simply try to wear you down rather than step up and take responsibility for a problem of their creation.I absolutely cannot recommend Chevrolet as a go to source for a luxury or performance vehicle until they are prepared to manage the supply chain better in both supply and information. And provide a customer service department that actually is expected and empowered to do something about these problems.

I bought a 2017 Chevy Colorado. I took it in for an oil change and rotation of tires. After I got the call that my vehicle was ready, I picked it up and was heading towards Ocala Florida and notice that my vehicle was rattling and swearing to the right. My wife told me move over to the right to take a look at why it was making such a rattling noise. She told me it sounds like you have a bad tire. I went to the medium and parked and took a look at the tires. The nuts and bolts were completely loose on all four tires. I was able to actually remove them with my hands. I called Ferman Chevrolet customer service and told them what happened and they wanted me to bring the vehicle back to them. I brought it back to them the following day because the car was not running right. The transmission seem to be making a noise and not changing shift. I took it to the dealership and they had to replace 3 of my tires and rims because they were damage from the time when I took it on the highway and the nuts and bolts were not tighten. They also flushed my transmission 3 times, because they noticed that there was a problem with my transmission. They told me that they had resolved the issue so I took my truck home. A few days later I started to notice that I was still having those transmission issues where it wasnt changing gears. I called GMC and filed a complaint against Ferman Chevrolet. They had me take my truck to another dealership to confirm the issues that I was having. The other dealership stated that it appear that it was a factory defect with the transmission. They claimed that they fix my issue. In 2 weeks later I was having the same problem. I called GMC and this time they didnt want to talk to me. I could not get anybody to help me with my truck that I had only had for 5 months. I did not have a choice because they werent willing to help me so I had to take a loss on the truck and trade it in for a Toyota Tacoma. I swore that I would never buy a GMC vehicle again. Being a Chevy family for years I am very disappointed to find out that they hide problems with their vehicles from their customers. They can send out flyers to purchase new car mats or upgrades for cars, yet when a part is bad on their vehicles are bad. On our Trax our pvc valve cover went bad and Chevy had known that on the 2013-2017 Trax, Sonic and Cruise this part had been malfunctioning. It would have been under warranty from my dealership had I know when I was home to take it in.My warranty is not valid anywhere but there. Of course they never told me that either. My family decided to see our son who is in the Army 3.5 hours from our home. Car was not covered. We were stranded for 3 days because the strike caused a lack of parts throughout the country. Dealerships were closed because it was a weekend so we went to a Pep Boys. Chevy acknowledges this is an issue but refuse to reimburse me because I didnt go to a dealership in the town we were stranded in. Which by the way couldnt find the part we needed a Kia dealer had to find it! We will be trading in our Chevys by the end of the year and getting a different brand who believes in customer service not just making a buck!

This is my very first car purchase. A car that I fell in love with and built myself down to the features in this car. Car purchased 8/16/17 drove off the lot with 30mi on it. About a week after having the car it shut off on me and has been happening since. For a brand new car why is it shutting off intermittently? This car has been in and out of the shop since I got it. The dealership Carl Black of Kennesaw finally witnessed it after having my car for about a month in January and replaced the fuse block which they thought was the issue. 2 week after getting my car back it shut off on me again! Brought them the car back the following day for them to keep it for two weeks and put over 1000mi on it. This is beyond ridiculous. Chevy is telling me they cant buy my car back because its under warranty. But dont safety issues qualify my car as a lemon?! I drove through 1ft of water and it took out my engine. Some may say its my fault just like the dealer. However if you advertise a truck let alone a 4x4 z71 offroad addition it should be able to handle some water. I have had plenty of my old truck in 3ft of water/mud and kept going like champions. A lifetime of driving chevys and I still just cant believe this. And Im stuck with the bill. Absolutely horse crap. Besides all the recalls that are going on with starts and rear windows leaking.. Complaint: The normal vehicle range of 238 miles is reduced 35% to 156 miles. After the courtesy recall the range was further reduced another 27% to 115 miles. GM acknowledges this reduction in range but is calling it normal. When the vehicle was delivered to Jack Evans for service, I reported the issue with decreased range. I noted that I drive ~150 miles round trip for work daily, with the decreased range I was unable to use the vehicle for the intended purpose as there was insufficient margin. I feared not being able to get home. The dealer agreed that the vehicle was reporting range of 157 miles with full charge but were unable to find any issue with the battery. They contacted GM Technical support for advice and were provided no additional information on the problem. Sarah the Service Manager at Jack Evans told me that GM tech support advised her to report the issue on the invoice as “Customer Concern Not Reproducible” and the decreased range is due to customer driving conditions and connecting my Cellphone to the infotainment system, what I am seeing is normal. After completion of the courtesy recall the vehicle was connected to a charging station, with zero miles driven. On 50-degree day the full charge range decreased from 157 to 115 miles. The Service Manager again told me this is caused by my driving style and environmental settings. The reduction in range after the service recall happened with no changes to driving or environmental settings. I was again advised to unplug my phone from the infotainment system as this could reduce range expectations. If I did not agree with the information presented, I should contact GM Customer Care. The dealer did not report the additional service recall related range reduction to GM Tech Support. GM Customer Care Case ** called in on 2/13/2019 was escalated to a Customer Care Manager. After receiving no further contact or status I contacted GM Customer Care on 2/21/2019. I was promised a status by end of the day. With nothing heard I again contacted GM Customer Care on 2/22/2019 only to be told I would be contacted in 2 or 3 business days. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that would also take 2 or 3 business days. I contacted GM Priority Care where I was forwarded to a Customer Care Manager. I was again told there is no problem with the vehicle. After some time reviewing the record, we determined the information I had been providing was not being documented, such as the reduction in range after the service recall. I was also told that Jack Evans service department reported no problems with the vehicle. As noted above, Jack Evans service department told me that service code was at the direction of GM technical support. My dispute with GM Customer Care is based on GM advising Jack Evans on how to report an issue then telling me there is no problem based on what was reported by Jack Evans. Further background: I drive the vehicle ~150 miles daily, charging the vehicle every night for the next day. I drive the same path every day, my environmental settings are set for 70 degrees, heated seats and steering wheel heater set to off. From April to November my typical range exceeded the estimated range of 238 miles, more likely around 300 miles. On the coldest day (5 degrees) with headlights on the reported range was ~185 miles, after 150 miles the system reported ~50 miles to go. The decreased range of 156 miles no longer allows me to use the vehicle for my daily work commute as intended. The further range reduction to 115 miles will not allow commuter use at all. General Motors Customer telling me the range reduction is normal when I know from experience this is a significant change from routine use is not acceptable. Usage and environmental settings are no longer an issue as I can no longer using the vehicle other than for errands. When I purchased this Chevy Bolt EV there were only two vehicle manufactures making an electric vehicle with a range above 200 miles between charges, one being Tesla, the other GM. With issues being reported and ignored by GM, there is only one remaining.

I would not recommend this company. All the GM support advisors do is schedule appointments, they dont care about your concern, nor do they care to get to the bottom of the actual problem. Ive had my 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV for a year and a half now and Have had lots of electronics problems. They tell me they cant use a video to fix the issue that if its not malfunctioning at the time when its at the dealer, they wont fix it. Of course the car comes out of its bumper to bumper warranty by mileage and the entire infotainment fails and the other issues Ive complained about will finally get fixed at my extended warrantys expense and my $100 deductible. I call to speak with a senior advisor, they dont call back, they dont call when you tell them to call and will do what they want, when they want. This is the worst car company Ive ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Ive had Hondas, Fords, VWs and Chevy and Chevy has been the worst ownership experience ever.

Does Chevrolet know they have the worst possible service department ever! General Motors have to re-think their products because you can get service if you need because all the service departments I have been to all have poor service. The truck I purchase is a good looking truck but it always has something wrong with it. I believe theyre selling lemons. Dont buy Chevrolet by GMC.

Took my Q80 in for a small paint defect. Infiniti said, Bring it where you want so we took in to our Chevrolet dealership in our town. They washed our vehicle and sprayed some kind of chemical on the rims. The rims (all 4) has streaks that rolling down all the rims. Which are discolored. Manager said they didn’t nothing wrong. By the way I have pictures of what they looked like before. What’s next? I’m NOT HAPPY!!!

I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic that I purchased with 30,000 miles on it from the dealer. There was a recall on the car for the catalytic converter, saying high temperatures from the engine was melting internal components. Of course their fix was not to replace catalytic converters, but to reprogram the ECM running temperature. However they sent the recall slip to the wrong address and by the time I had gone to the dealer I already had a check engine light on, and they wanted 150 dollars to diagnose the problem. I had to get through emissions and get the light off so I went to the local Shell service station. They informed me my catalytic was almost completely melted and malformed on the inside. I contacted Chevy and they said it needed to go to the dealer to get looked at and they would make an appointment, but after a week of no contact from them and a need for emissions so I could register my car, I brought it to Shell and had the work done. Then of course Chevy called and said there was nothing they could do because I had the work done elsewhere. Not offering catalytic converters to customers whose had melted, after acknowledging the ECM they set is causing the issue, is despicable. After spending 1000 dollars on a new car, a part that should never fail, they certainly lost a customer in me with their poor handling of this issue.

Our 2019 Chevy Trax LT is so much fun to drive. It sits high up like a typical SUV but small like a car. It has lots of features in it like electric start, an app that can find you car and lock it remotely. It’s great on gas mileage and can really pack a lot in it because the seats lay down flat. I like there is an actual spare tire and so many air bags. The seats are very comfortable even for long drives. Also there are plenty of cup holders for all the drinks you just have to have to go on a drive. I think the Trax would be a bit small for a family with teenagers. Our kids are grown so it’s not an issue for us.

I loved the style of the car. The Chevrolet Cavalier was an older car, but it was a great little car. It got great gas mileage, Air conditioning and FM Radio and it was just the right size car for me. It looked like a sports car, but with a 4 cylinder engine, and had all the features that I needed in a car. It had a roomy trunk for groceries and enough room in the back seat but I would have liked to have a little more room in there for the passengers.

The biggest issue with this service department was the time it took for an oil change and tire rotation, 5 HOURS, but I have listed all the details below. Pros: - Service was completed- Service consultant was pleasant Cons:- Timing. It took this service department from 10:15 am to 3:15 pm, 5 HOURS, to complete an oil change and tire rotation. I scheduled my appointment online and was told when I arrived that it might take up to 3.5 hours. I was not happy but needed the oil change today and assumed it might include something like a basic exterior wash for the time. At the 4-hour mark, I called the service department to get an update. After a few moments of not being able to find my car, I was told to give them another 1.5 hours to complete the service. - Price. When scheduling my appointment online, the dealership was offering a coupon for $29.95 + tax. The only fine print, directly from the coupon, was, “Tire balancing, tax, and more than 6 quarts of oil extra.”. Since I did not see a line item for tire balancing or more than 6 quarts of oil, I asked why I was being charged $12.89 more than the coupon, before tax. I was told that prices have gone up and they could not honor the coupon price. If that is the case, the coupon needs to be removed from the website. - “Shuttle”. I advised the service department I would be waiting there for my car. It was at that point they offered a shuttle, via Lyft, within 10 miles of the dealership. I opted to take them up on the offer, but just across the highway to the mall. At 4.5 hours, I ended up walking back to the dealership since my phone was about to die so there was no way I would be able to coordinate the shuttle back between the dealership and Lyft. At the time of payment, I see a charge for, “Incidental Reimbursement” in the amount of $5.67. I can only assume this was for the “shuttle service” they would take care of within 10 miles. - Lack of attention to detail. When I received the bill, I noticed a charge of just over $22 for 2 bolts. I knew I would have to pay for the bolts but remembered the conversation advising it would be around $4 and change, per bolt. I had to ask why the charge was so high before they even noticed it. Lastly, upon getting in my car, I noticed in the 5 hours they had the vehicle, no one could be bothered to reset the oil life indicator.

Bought a brand new 2018 1.5L Malibu with 2 miles on it, have had extreme acceleration problems off and on everyday. It will have no power and sit at 3400 rpms even when the pedal is at WOT. Dealer cant duplicate the problem so were stuck with it... Monitoring it thru the OBDII port I can see that there is little to no boost PSI on the turbo during acceleration when Im having this issue. No check engine lights on at all and we now have 1700 miles on it and it hasnt stopped giving us issues.

So I just bought a 97 Chevy Lumina with about 86,000 miles on it and my ** made the mistake of mixing the original red coolant with the standard green coolant you get literally everywhere. Now my coolant is the outside weather and I have to drain that crap out and replace it with the green stuff since it is apparently safer than what the manufacturer provides. Bit of a miracle that I got a 97 Lumina under a hundred thousand miles in 2019 so Im not going to destroy it with bad coolant. With the mixture, the car now raises its temperature rapidly at a stoplight and Im going to have to drain that stuff before Winters end. Fortunately the temperature quickly goes back to normal once the car moves.

I have really enjoyed this vehicle and have taken it in many long road trips. It is quite comfortable to ride in for long periods. It has been very dependable. Only needed minor cosmetic repairs and regular maintenance such as new tires, replacing headlights, etc. I like the silver color and that it came with lots of features factory installed like sunroof, XM radio and GPS. I like that it has room for hauling stuff, the back seats fold down and it has a very spacious cargo. Also it gets excellent gas mileage and I just like the overall look of the car. But the backseat doors are very small and do not open wide. It makes cleaning difficult. I also am not able to put a bike rack on the back due to the hatch back. Also I wish the console between the two front seats wasnt there. I never use the cup holder and I have to put my purse in the back seat if I have a passenger.

In 2015 I bought a brand new Chevy Sonic so that I would not have to put money into a car besides maintenance. Well since the car was under 2 years old I’ve been spending thousands of dollars and 1 part breaks every year for the last 3 years and GM refuses to do anything about it. They told me it’s cover, well the part is covered. Still that’s $55 but the labor is not which is over $400 dollars. I’ve took my car in the shop because it continuously jerks. I spent about $1400 2 shop visit plus a new purge valve which they only charge me for the part because they missed it. (This is also the same valve that has broke for 3 years straight) But they said that’s why the car was still jerking. The valve was missing. But got it home it was doing the same thing but worst so I personally called GM to do something about their brand of car. Do you think they did anything? NO they direct me back to pay another Chevy dealership $160 for another diagnosis. I will never in my life support this business and I will make sure to tell all my family and friends to never buy a Chevy.
