Cadillac Celestiq EV Poised To Be The Ultimate 300000 Caddy
Posted On: July 13, 2022
Information about Cadillac’s upcoming flagship electric vehicle (EV) has slowly been leaking out. Probably the most highlighted aspect of the Cadillac Celestiq EV, which is claimed to make a “show car” debut this month, is the rumored price for the 4-seater ultra-luxury large sedan to be around $300.000. With such a price, there’s sure to be a lot to offer in the ultimate Cadillac EV. Cadillac has released a few more teasers of the Celestiq EV but from the looks of these “show car” images the vehicle is in concept guise, but we could very well see a good percentage of the concept in a production version. The unique low-slung fastback concept is certainly unique with a clear aim at Bentley and Rolls-Royce considering such a price point and promises to bring the heavy-hitting luxury goods. Cadillac has confirmed that production will be limited to just 500 units with 1.2 vehicles built each day. If you want one, you better start talking to some General Motors heads, now. The interior of the Celestiq EV is probably the most show car or concept car form of what we see here where we are certain that many things will be different once it reaches production form. However, most of what we see will be a direct inspiration for luxurious appointments from fine handcrafted materials and no shortage of entertainment touchscreens. The Celestiq EV is said to get its hand-built crafting at the GM tech center in Warren, Michigan, hopefully not too far after its show car debut on July 22, 2022. There’s a lot of mystery surrounding the Cadillac Celestiq EV as General Motors is remaining mostly coy about any specifications or fine details. However, in knowing how long we’ve yearned for a return of Cadillac greatness, we could very well witness history in the brand redefining themselves to be somewhat like the Cadillac of old that rules the roads with large proportioned American opulence above all others. We’ll be sure to bring you additional details of the Celestiq EV as they come with the official reveal of the show car later this month.

Cadillac has a slight variety, more than in the past. Needs more smaller vehicles that resemble the old style. Some models are too big and use more gas than I prefer. I no longer feel that this brand has one signature look but several looks. Its very different from the original look of the long body frame. Certain models can fit significantly more passengers than others and really depends what your needs are to determine what is a good fit. They dont skimp on the upgrades and has many nice features and accents...navigation, backup camera, etc. Doesnt feel quite as luxury as it did in the past though.

2014 Cadillac XTS4. Owning this car has been a nightmare. I have had constant problems with the CUE system and the suspension. It’s ridiculous that GM and their dealerships know that there is a problem with these vehicles but want us as owners to foot the bill for their craftsmanship.

The CTS is a large car that handles adroitly, quietly and with some spunk, even if it only has a 2.0 Turbo. It does require Premium fuel, but I get ~ 22 mpg driving mostly around town and > 30 mpg on the highway. P.S. It also has pizzaz styling!!!

I really like this brand because of how many vehicles there are. It looks amazing, slender and well built. I like all of the features this brand has. There are a lot of upgrades for this brand and I can make it one of the coolest cars ever. I can personalize it any way I can. It can fit a lot of people in this car, my entire family. I just love this brand of car for its passenger capacity.

STS rear wheel drive - In 2005, the tires wear on the inside as though it is out of line or something. The alignment center said there is no adjustment on the rear and they even called the Cadillac dealer to see if there was a fix. The tires were rotated so all 4 wear out in 30,000 miles? Anyone who has an answer to this?

I had a 2013 Cadillac ATS which I absolutely loved at the beginning. I recently had an issue with my car that had to get towed to a GM dealership where it sat for nearly 3 weeks because they couldnt figure out how to program it. Then I had to get it towed to another GM dealership where it cost me over $1,000 just for the tow. I reached out to Cadillac about this and after 2 weeks they said they can give me a $300 gift card. This Gift Card is only available to a certified GM dealer. WHY the HELL would I buy another vehicle from you when your own technicans cannot program a simple FOB, let along poor client appreciation. Cadillac may used to be Luxury and Client appreciation but not anymore. I would highly recommend another dealer who if there are any issues they will be there to help not push you aside.

Hello. Just wanted to seek help from this frustrating issue Ive been having with my Cadillac 2013 SRX. I purchased my vehicle in 2016 from CARMAX a certified car dealer. I drove it for about a couple weeks to have the display QUEUE system to go completely black where the radio, navigation, heat and everything couldnt be accessed and my Liftgate trunk could not open!! Carmax was very helpful to reach out to Thornton Chevrolet in getting it taken care of which I had to wait awhile due to the Radio was on back order!! My frustration is that I was told that the Cadillacs sunroofs drainage tubes are draining in the area where the Liftgate module is housed causing the motherboard to burn up or fry once the water hit it!! I feel this should be a recall and have reached out to GM with no solution being its fried again and wont open with a musty damp smell!! I am allergic to mold and have respiratory issues and I pray this situation doesnt cause a flare!! All they quoted me is a price to reseal and change the Liftgate Module out again with no guarantee that it wont happen again and Im approaching the end of my warranty!!! I feel so sad and lost because I love my SRX. Just wish they could call a recall on these issues because theres so many negative reviews about these issues!! Last it wouldve been no different had I bought this vehicle from Cadillac vs Carmax so dont say this again please, yall made the dern vehicle!!!

I have a 2011, CTS, premium edition. At 30,000 miles, I had to have timing chains replaced! Never heard of a timing chain(s) going out that fast! Date of replacement was 10/7/2016. Glad I had purchased an extended warranty!! Over $1200.00 for the work!! And yes, it is a 3.6 engine. Acted like the battery was low for quite a while before I took it in for repair. As I had a new battery, I thought it was starter trouble. Overall, the car is very dependable, I have had it for three + years now. First repair done.

Cadillac offer many models to choose from, which are Seville, Deville, Allante. The Deville has been my choice because of its traditional styling and clean lines. It also performs amazingly well. The appearance of my Cadillac is just breathtaking, I get looks of approval from people everywhere. It has a beautiful finish that has held up well even under the worst weather conditions. The upgrade options are electric windows and individual front electric seats where both riders can adjust their desired seat positions. My Cadillac also has the deepest plush carpet which is very comfortable. Also, my Cadillac Deville has a large passenger capacity where 6 people can be very comfortable riding in it. The all leather seats are so soft. A babys butt couldnt be any softer than they. Overall, my car is a joy to own.

I purchased an extended warranty from Cadillac for $3,500. The warranty has the Cadillac Warranty all over the papers that were signed. My engine blew after 3 years (80k miles) and Cadillac said the manufacturers warranty was over and the warranty THEY sold me they could not support since it was a third party warranty. Facts: This is not a Cadillac Warranty. After numerous calls Cadillac informed me it was not their warranty and they could not help (even though their logo is all over what was sold). Cadillac is given incentives to sell third party warranties and allows them to put their logos on the warranty to make it appear it is a Cadillac sponsor and supported warranty. Third party warranty held my car for over month to fix while only giving 10 days of vehicle rental allowance. Third party failed to rebuild engine and it went out again and wanted to charge me additional $3,500 to fix after it. This happened the moment I drove it off of lot from dealership that was paid to replace it. Beware of what you are signing. The dealership I purchased this from has said their hands are tied due to Cadillac not supporting them in helping the consumer. After spending $90k on a vehicle I expected more from a brand and the services they sell you.

The dealership says a hard reset will fix it, but we have had them do this 2 minute hard reset to our C.T.S and it still does not fix the actual problem. They need to recall this CUE system. I have been really happy with this car make and model (Cadillac SRX). Performance is wonderful, it is great on fuel economy and the price we got it for is superb. Also, the body style is sleek and modern and is a very pretty car that drives like a luxury Sedan more so than a Crossover vehicle. However, since purchasing there have been a few minor maintenance hiccups. Nevertheless, I love this car the most of all cars I have ever owned.

We have a 2014 Cadillac SRX... One of the key fobs went bad. Called our Cadillac dealership (Sunset Cadillac) and was told the cost was $200+.. Took the car in and they said it would have to be programmed, still no mention of extra charge for programming. Got the bill and the total was $447.74. Was not told the programming was extra!! $155.00 for programming. $35.00 for miscellaneous charge. We could have bought a fob off eBay for $32.00 and had it programmed for the $155.00 and been a whole lot cheaper! But since we thought Cadillac’s pricing included programming we didn’t go this route. I called the dealership the same day and vented my frustration, to no avail. On top of that they kept our old fob, which we were going to keep for the key. Not happy customers. We are in the market for a new vehicle, it will not be a Cadillac...

My wifes brother works for GM for 40 years and he said that his was an Elpol discrepancy and GM needs to re-paint. Please let me know what my next step should be.

Cadillac looks very luxurious and delightful. I enjoy the comfort it gives and the technology the most. Its very beautiful and simple yet evolutionary. I love the sleekness each model gives. It is so much different than others. Such as one is made for families while others may be made for romance or business. I do not often contain passengers in my car but when I do my guests seems to love it. My model may only carry 5 passengers but overall its great. The GPS is great and it gives such accurate information. I never get lost anymore. The speakers are crisp and clear and the airbags are regularly checked. I love how regular checks are free and so are the repairs.

The 2015 Cadillac is nothing but a hot mess!! Ive dealt with headlights so dim I could not see to drive at night. After four tries, Cadillac Service finally figured out a fix. There were transmission issues: the car would hesitate when giving it the gas from a stopped or slowed position to the point it jerked you back in your seat. The battery completely died at 30,000 miles. The lift gate motor died at 32,000 miles because water from the sunroof drainage tubes literally soaked the motor, ($1800 fix). So, take my advice and just run as far away from this car as you can.

Cadillac puts out a great product that Ive driven for years with no problems. Very comfortable, dependable, and feels like youre sitting in your living room when youre cruising down the road. I have a upper echelon feeling like youre above the rest, that they represent quality in America. They have so many models like the Escalade sporty models two-door and then theres the sedan. My car is an older model and has long front in. Always a button to push to make driving easier and everything is at your fingertips in the trunk, the gas door, the windows, all the lights, comfort control, no hands to telephones. Theres lots of legroom no matter what model you get. Really have to be one of the top line cars.

Cadillacs are the brand of many centuries, with lots of power, stability, accommodation, etc. Cadillac has so many models I cant even name, but they have great cars (selections) to choose from. Various upgrades of the Cadillac brands vary from which make and model you choose to drive, or maybe even just test drive, cause when you step foot into one, then the adrenaline rush varies by what you would want in any brand of this great, longtime brand, with lots of media speculation. The brands passenger capacity has the most capacity in the great Cadillac Escalade, so it all varies with the model you would ask for, you have to know what you want in this great company of cars, so the choice is yours, SUV or regular. The distinct appearance of a Cadillac goes to show you quality arithmetic, in every make and model of a Cadillac, especially Cadillac CTSs, in which I believe is 2015s best model on Cadillacs behalf... so there you have it--integrity with just about any Cadillac model, new or old. So go out and buy a new or used model today.

I like the sunroof, leather seats, back up camera, dual zones for heating and cooling, heated seats, the red color and black interior, comfortable seating, roomy, Bose speakers. I am a 75-year-old widow who has owned Cadillacs for 30+ years. On August 14, 2012, I rear-ended a truck pulling a trailer that was stopped at a stop light. I had severe front-end damage to my 2011 Cadillac DTS. I was wearing my seat belt; however, the air bag did not deploy. I hit and bent the steering wheel, which caused a severe concussion, five broken ribs, and facial lacerations. I was in intensive care and in the hospital for nine days. I then went to a rehabilitation center for 20 more days. I am now home, in pain, and walking with the aid of a walker. I would like an explanation for why I purchased an expensive car to get me where I needed to go and keep me safe if the main safety mechanism wouldnt work. I will never again sit behind the wheel of a Cadillac and I will encourage others not to as well.

I own a 2002 Cadillac Deville. I have had continual problems with all of my automatic windows. Basically, all four windows have broken at least once in the three years I have owned this car. The windows go down, but they will not go up. I have had at least two or three of these windows fail at least two times. I have had one window fail 3 times. The cost of repairing these windows is approximately $300.00 to $400 a piece. I have come to learn (from the Frank ** Service Manager) that this particular is a well known design flaw with the Cadillac Deville. They have seen this issue with many customers on a repeated basis. I think this demonstrated a design problem with this car and has nothing to do with normal wear-and-tear. First, GM should be ashamed of not fixing this issue and having a recall. I would like to get a refund for my latest repair. I have no problem contacting my local FOX TV affiliate in Dallas/FW and make them aware of this issue. They have a reporter that handles issues such as these. I will send you my latest repair bill for $500.00 and then I will sell this car. What a disgrace of a product.

I have a 2006 Cadillac SRX. Its been a bottomless pit for ongoing repairs... Purchased with under 40K miles ... problems started immediately Within a month, CD player started not functioning properly (has Nav). Brought to the dealer. Repair: R + R head unit... cost $2500 + labor $2500...? You can buy a hell of a home stereo for a lot less!! All it needed was to have the laser aligned and it was replaced with some other unit from Cadillac (remember R & R no actual fixing here) so someone else has my used $2500 player that probably took about 2 minutes to realign the laser... What was I expecting for $2500?Very quickly found that the car uses a quart of oil about every 1000... Do you want to hear what the Cadillac tech told me when I asked him what should I do? He said, I recommend keeping a case of oil in the back - nice. The cars original sticker was $55K. The steering rack at 40K started to leak... R & R 1000 bucks later... brought home. Next morning, the AC Delco unit they put in leaked worse. They replaced it... Does that mean it was free?At 60K, the right front wheel bearings at $450. I cant tell you how many times Ive had to replace the right front directional at $125. Now I use my fist with a good glove and bash the directional and at least for a while it comes back on (Cadillac glove) - saves a few $100 every year. About 80K, the left front wheel bearing replaced... another $450 repair. Did you know some places on the road get almost $10 for a quart of synthetic Mobil One? Is that synthetic or pathetic? I lost track of how many quarts Ive added in 4 years...I actually had a pretty good stretch for awhile until last week... just turned 100k... Seems the timing chain loosened up, slipped a couple of teeth, valve spring broke, bent a valve and put a hole in the valve cover. $55K and the motor cant go 100K without detonating... As I write, the motor is apart waiting for GM parts (Please...cant we use some aftermarket parts instead?) This bill ought to be a whopper! Ive spent more money on this car for maintenance than the last 10 cars I have owned. Buy American? Buy GM? NEVER AGAIN.

2013 Cadillac ATS, CUE unresponsive to touch. Same issue like all Cadillac models from 2013-2017, my infotainment screen doesnt respond to touch anymore. I cant even turn off the A/C. Such nice vehicles with terrible cheap materials. I did a horrible mistake in switching from Lincoln to Cadillac. At least Ford uses better materials and their technology does not fail as much as GM does.

So many unique extras, indoor trim with an actual background light adds that extra appeal of a extra touch of class. The trunk opens with two touches of the Cadillac emblem, the powerful computer that does everything from a display of your tire inflation to how many miles you have left on a tank of gas. The navigation system that keeps you on a precise direction. Turns a long distance trip into casual country drive. You get there before you reach destination before you realize it.

I had submitted a review in June after having been told by Cadillac that I was SOL regarding the issue I had with the OEM tires on my 2017 XT5. Fortunately, I complained to my dealer and told them I wouldn’t be back after my lease was up. The dealer intervened on my behalf with Cadillac and shockingly, they were successful where I had not been....I received a check for full reimbursement for the Continental tires I replaced the OEM Michelin tires with. According to the lady with the dealership that handles warranty issues, there should not have been an issue with Cadillac refusing my claim as there had been a Bulletin issued regarding the problem with the tires!! So...I have a decision to make....I’m happy with my dealer, but still unhappy with Cadillac! I will at least consider another Caddy, but not a slam dunk for me like it once was! I will also consider others as well! Remember when you bought a Cadillac knowing you were buying quality? Not so much anymore. One would think the manufacturer would figure that out. Regardless, I felt I should tell “the rest of the story”!

I own a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. In 2014, I received a bulletin from GM that a bearing in the supercharger could go bad and ultimately seize the engine. The letter went on to say they extended coverage for this problem for 10 years or 120K miles. The letter instructed me to listen for a rattling noise when the car was at idle. It expressly said in the letter, not to bring the car for service unless you hear the noise. At my next service, I asked if the car had the problem - they said No, that is the injectors you are hearing. The next time the car went for service was 130,000 miles. I never heard a rattling noise, but the car was diagnosed with the problem. It will cost me $3,250 to fix. This is just after pouring over $6,000 into the car (new rear-end, etc.). I called customer care and explained that the letter said not to bring the car in unless I heard the noise. This was a known problem that GM was aware of - I did as they instructed and now I am facing a $3,250 bill. I realize the car is over the mileage limit (despite being well within the 10 year extended coverage for this issue), so I asked if they would consider paying half. I further explained that I am an owner of three GM vehicles and was in the market to replace one. They just said No.

Cadillac is a very classic and sleek car. Its very smooth to drive and really the safest car I ever bought. These car are always roomy and its great for large families. You never feel squished and uncomfortable and never have to go to a rest stop to stretch your legs. Its always a relaxed drive. I also like the inside and stereo. You are able to customize your car as they have many option available for you to choose from which is great way to express yourself. I love the brand. I like the sub while my grandma enjoys the Eldorado. I have driven both and its a good car experience. The appearance is one of the best qualities of these cars. I mostly drive one because of brand recognition. Mine is an older model that is holding up well on the road. Sometimes I wish they got better mileage though. But I am very happy with this brands passenger capacity. I went to swim practice and picked up 8 kids. I never upgraded anything on my car. I think the factory installed parts are satisfactory. However, I would like to take a reciprocating saw and cut a new moonroof in the car of mine but it seems like too much work. I wish moonroofs were standard.

In February 2018 I bought a used 2006 Cadillac CTS with 78314 miles on it. Had it 2 days and cylinder 1 started missing, took it back and they repaired the problem. No cost to me. On April 1st Easter Sunday I was driving to my familys home in Rosedale MD about 50 miles from my home. About 23 miles into the trip I looked in the rearview mirror and saw nothing but white smoke so I pulled over to the shoulder of a busy highway. Once I stopped the car, turned it off and popped the hood I saw fluid pouring out of the bottom of the car. Started the car back up to move it further in from the line of traffic but when I put it in gear it wouldnt move, turns out the fluid was Transmission fluid. Waited 3 1/2 hours for a tow and never made it to Easter Dinner. The next day I was contacted by the service station to tell me the transmission line going to the cooling radiator unit had blown and both the radiator and line needed replaced and that was gonna cost $850. So within 2 months car has been out of service twice. Not happy with Cadillac at this point as they will not stand behind any of their flaws in their cars. You would think a high quality name like Cadillac would want to keep their reputation good. I guess my next high quality vehicle will be either Lexus or BMW. Sad Cadillac doesnt have better management who cares about their reputation instead of them just getting a fat paycheck. Cadillac its time to rethink your corporate structure!!!

I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS 3.6L engine with less than 87,000 miles on it. About 2 weeks ago, a screw had somehow backed itself out of one of the gears and caused major damage to my vehicle. The valve cover is shredded, cracked cylinder head and a piece broke off the cast iron timing chain cover. I reported it to Cadillac in hope of them standing by their product and customer loyalty and in turn they have said its not covered under the powertrain warranty. At Cadillacs request, I had the car towed to Don Massey Cadillac because they were supposed to have a reputation for good customer service. That is very wrong. They took almost 5 days to look at my car and give a diagnosis. Now the mechanic that is going to fix the car is on vacation and has three weeks of work before he could get to my car. If the dealership would have looked at the car in a timely manner the mechanic could have looked at it sooner and at least got the parts ordered. I am now going to be at least another month without my car because Cadillac wasted my time. I will NEVER buy another Cadillac or GM product. This car has never been abused or had modifications done to it. Every oil change has had synthetic oil put into it. I am very dissatisfied with the Cadillac brand of luxury. There is nothing luxury about how they treat their customers.

This is not made known to the buyer as a fact until you get a flat that should cost about $30.00 to repair on all older type tires. Exhaust noise: I bought a new 2012 CTS. When I get on it a little bit just before it shifts gears, it makes a sound that sounds like all the baffles in the muffler or cat is going to fall out. I took it my dealer, and they hear it also. They took another 2012 CTS, and it does the same thing. I got a case number from GM. They told me there was nothing they could do. What do I need to do to get some results? I did not buy a new $45,000.00 car to have something that sounds like it is falling apart. I acquired a 2004 SRX with the Northstar 4.6L engine six months ago with 131,000 miles on it. The car looked immaculate and had every option known to man so I tried to block out all that I had previously heard/read about maintenance problems with Cadillacs. On the first day of ownership, I noticed the coolant reservoir was dry so I filled it up. That quickly became a ritual. I now understand why reviews I read said their SRX spent more time in the shop than out. Within six months, Ive had to replace the power steering pump, alternator, battery, headlight, radiator, thermostat, brake pads, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold and emergency brake. As if all that wasnt bad enough, it was confirmed today that Ill need a head gasket or a another engine (which in some cases is cheaper). All this within 2,000 miles of driving!Well its game over for me. Ill take whatever I can get for this dog and NEVER buy a GM vehicle again. Bailing out GM was the last thing the government shouldve done! They dont care about their customers! And to think, my last car was a Mazda 3 that I drove for 10 years with $670 in total out-of-pocket maintenance costs. NEVER AGAIN...

I have severe scratch/scuff marks on my black SRX 2012 from the door moldings rubbing against the paint on inner door frames. This happened within three months of owning the vehicle. The dealer in consultation with GM engineers tried to soften the moldings using Kry-tox lubricant and polished the existing scratches out. Within 3 weeks the problem is back.I am now in discussions with main GM office for a more long term solution. They are suggesting 3m tape but this product peels and yellows over time and I feel this is just a band aid solution. The company that does this in my town stated this to me as well. They have not agreed to putting new weather stripping on, which may not be the solution either. But they have commented that this design flaw will be addresses with future models. Great, but this does not help me...! I dont know what the answer is, but they do not appear to be that worried that I am disappointed in paying big bucks for something that is not the quality that they lead customers to believe they are paying for.If anyone has this vehicle, please check this as it is not that apparent on lighter color vehicles. I also had rust already on the cross bar under the grill, and this had to be repainted as it comes from the factory with just a coat of primer! The dealer said not many people would notice this issue but check it out. Please comment if you have had any of these concerns. Will never buy another based on this experience. You are paying for the name but not the quality, and this is not fun!

There is a saying that “car salesmen are the worst people in the world”. Now that may not be true for all of them, but that saying runs true for the salesmen at Delaware Cadillac. I will try to make this as short as possible, but I wish would have read something like this before I did business with that devil dealership. I had an ATS and made the mistake of leasing the vehicle its first year out. It was nothing but problems, so with 6 months left on the lease Michael ** at the dealership said he would get me out of lease and into a new one. I did not want to do this, but the tires were shot on my original ATS so I caved in. Now that being said, all I asked for on the new vehicle was normal non garbage run flat tires. Well I did not find out until a year into the lease that ** gave me a vehicle with run flat tires. When I called to discuss this he said “it was a mistake in the paperwork and I could bring the car there (an hour away) and they would fix it. He wouldn’t send me to my local dealership because they save money on the parts. I also had the cue system break and it took almost the entire summer to get the part in and working again, so basically went the whole summer without air conditioning. Lastly ** tried to get me when I turned the piece of ** car in. The vehicle came with 4500 miles on it and I was allotted 15k a year. ** explained to me that I could turn the car in and the original 4500 miles wouldn’t count. Well when I turned the car in the evil devil piece of ** Mike sent me a bill for $700 of over mileage charges. I had to get a lawyer involved and General Motors ended up seeing it was a scam and I did not have to pay, yet they wonder why people go crazy. I have waited almost 5 years to write this review, karma will come around and get ** back, I hope he starves but this review is a start. If I can stop at least one person from buying or leasing from this dealership then I have done my job.

2004 Cadillac SRX - I purchased a 2004 Cadillac SRX a few years ago 85,000 miles. Ive never heard of the car and was excited to own such a great looking car. Everywhere I went people gave me compliments (I had to swag it out a bit :) ). I loved the way this car looked - it definitely stands out from the rest. However, this car was a love hate relationship - starting from the 1st week. The car spent more time in repair shop than I actually drove it. Im a bit smarter now. Purchasing a car close to 100k is a bad idea. You just might as well buy a newer car. The repairs went into the thousands easily. Everything was breaking down and needed to be replaced. I was afraid to even drive the car after while, because the car can just shut down if there is a problem (youre unaware of)/I wouldve like some type of warning sign. Long story short - I ended up parking the car for a while until I was able to buy a new car (foreign). I still love they way they look but I would never buy one again. These cars are all over Craigslist now for pretty cheap which should tell you a lot.

The discs are on national backorder, which means that Cadillac has no idea when, if ever, new discs will be available. I believe that Cadillac knew in 2008 that there would be no replacements since they stopped offering 2 yearly disc updates in the sale price of the vehicle. I was offered 300 minutes of On Star or 2 years of free oil changes, but would still leave me without a nav system. Can anyone swap an east coast disc for an unused west coast disc? We presently own 2 Cadillacs and have purchased 5 within the last 10 years. As a loyal GM customer for 20 years, we are dissatisfied that there does not seem to be a practical solution to this seemingly widespread problem for CTS owners, other than replacing part of the trunk. Now, I know my vehicle has only 53,000 miles on it, but I cant blame Cadillac for this problem. I blame the previous owners for not maintaining this vehicle. I also own an Automotive Service Center, but because of my warranty, I did have to bring it to Cadillac, and there is no way the selling dealer would have known this was going to happen when selling the vehicle. This is why I purchased a warranty. No matter how new a vehicle is, when you buy a used vehicle, you never know how it has been maintained. So for the guy that bought his car in Naperville and drove to Tennessee, you bought a used vehicle. Shame on you for not having it inspected! Yes, they were deceptive, but how can you blame Cadillac. All vehicles, whether they are American or foreign, have their own distinct issues. For instance, Honda Odyssey. I have heard from many of my customer that they had to have their transmissions replaced. Chrysler use to have problems with their transmissions. GM 3.1 liter intake manifolds leak coolant and oil. There is a technical service bulletin in which you have to take the engine out of the Toyota Avalon to change the timing chain and guides at around $4,000.My point is that vehicles are lasting much longer than they ever use to, as they should with all of the technology. The key is to maintaining your vehicle and stay on top of them when they fail. Granted if your vehicle is within 1 to 3 years and there is a serious problem, but come on after 4 to 5 years, things are going to start failing. One of my biggest complaints with the automotive manufacturers, like the gentleman with the broken window stated, is that his glass is on back order. I find that either parts are on 5 to 6 month back order, or in some case, they discontinue parts after 7 to 8 years, sometimes less. Some of the parts are not available aftermarket, which just leads me to believe they just dont want their vehicles to last so you have to purchase a new one.

Ive owned three CTSs (2004; 2011; and 2016). I purchased them primarily because of their looks. Each car exceeded the other in terms of features, performance and fuel economy. Cadillacs 4-year free premium maintenance was another decisive factor in purchasing, as well as 0% financing on the 2016!!!

I bought my 2007 Cadillac for my birthday in 2013. Its been a nightmare since. To be fair, I dont place my blame solely on Cadillac, but also on Rancho Motor Company in Victorville, California. I have spent the last year trying to get the engine light on my car corrected. To date Ive had the o2 sensor, timing solenoid, spark plugs, and ignition coils replaced. None of this solved the problem. On Monday 9/28/15 I took my car back into the dealership one more time for an oil change and diagnostic. This time they finally tell me that the timing chain needs to be replaced and that its going to cost me $2500. Disappointed and angry for being lied to for so long, I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion. This is when I learned that a recall was issued for the timing chain in 2014 and I was not notified. This is also when I learn that the recall is void when the car reaches 120000 miles. My car is now at 123000 and the dealership refuses to honor the recall.I was also told that I was not contacted about the warranty because since it isnt a safety recall, consumers were only made aware of the recall if their call showed signs of timing chain problems. In other words, Cadillac and Rancho Motors dont respect their customers. They knew in 2014 what was wrong with my car. There is no way they couldnt. Now my car is unsafe to drive and the timing chain and snap at any moment.

My car was Deville and it has the seat warmer, satellite radio, Bose music system. The car is shaped like a torpedo. It flow seamlessly down the road. It had a standard Northstar motor which provided excellent fuel savings. Its gas mileage was comparable to smaller cars. The paint job was Canadian Royal Blue in which some thought looked like deep purple. I am a pretty large guy, but never did I feel cramped or stuck in my Cadillac and it had room for 7 people. It also had a moon roof in which I really enjoyed opening day or night.

The Cadillac SUV is very nice, smooth and fun to drive. It features power locks, leather interior and airbags on driver and passenger seats. It’s safe, the brake alerts so you don’t get yourself in an accident when you can’t see other drivers on the side and when the car in front stops. The GPS system tells you where you’re going and talks to you when you make a mistake. It can fit nine people comfortably with lots of legroom. It’s great to have an extra child seat with seatbelts especially for long road trips. I have no complaints, it is unique and I love it.

I purchased a brand new, off the showroom floor, 2017 Cadillac CT6 in February, 2017. On March 27, 2017 while driving in Rowland Hts., Ca. I was rear ended by a motorist who was not paying attention to the fact that everyone else but her had stopped. I had my vehicle towed to a Cadillac dealer for repair. 2 weeks later that Cadillac dealer contacted me and stated that they could not repair my car as they weren’t aluminum qualified. They found another shop in the area that was aluminum qualified but, in about 2 more weeks, I found out that this repair shop was not GM aluminum qualified. GM finally okayed a shop in North Hollywood that was qualified to repair my vehicle. My car was transported to this location but the vehicle could not be repaired at this time as there were no replacement parts available for my vehicle. Long story short: my vehicle is still in this shop and tomorrow will make it the 4th month that I have not been able to get my car back. In fairness, the Cadillac dealer that I originally took the car to has supplied me with a loaner car for the duration and they also assisted in getting GM to reimburse me for 2 months of payments on my car, but I have not seen my car for almost 4 months! Car is not totaled. My experience tells me that I will NEVER purchase another Cadillac as GM has truly dropped the ball in regard to supplying parts and a qualified repair shop. The shop that my car is still currently at is the only one in Southern California at this time so, again, I blame GM for really dropping the ball. My insurance company told me that I could take my car to any qualified repair show but by whose qualifications??? Again, I commend the dealership that has supported me during this time frame but I have lost all faith in GM.

I purchased a preowned 2006 Cadillac CTS 1 week ago and two days later with my new expensive car, the car barely accelerated from a stop. I was almost t-boned 3 times already. My gas mileage is terrible due to the car not shifting out of 4th gear. No 5th. I have to floor the pedal just to creep up to speed, then the car wont shift so it runs high RPMs burning gas. I have read numerous things about this car shutting off, starting on fire, extensive repairs OMG! It is currently under recall for an ignition switch that just shuts off, this disables, brakes, steering, oh yeah and the air bags! Great! Visited two different GM dealerships who showed no concern or offered anything but expensive diagnostic fees. Never mind that I might not love looking enough to make the appointment in the defective POS that Ive just saddled myself with! The car only has 56k miles on it. I paid 15 grand for it and have a large monthly payment. I own an import (German) with 157000 miles it and it runs like a top and I own it. Guess which car I drive! Thank you Audi for being everything GM is not. My advice finance companies and banks should stop providing financing for this entire GM line since once you are Dumb enough to own one you cant give it away. If no one can finance one people would still getting ripped off and maybe GM would start to build a quality product and back it! And the finance companies and banks would stop going out with a repo company and picking them up. That is where mine will end up going. No one can offer a solution on what is wrong! So it can sit and rot until they come get it and my credit will suck and the bank will lose money. In the end, the crooks at GM got paid so what do they care! Listen up banks - avoid GM car financing like the plague, especially the Cadillac CTS!

Unfortunately the 2011 excellent DTS Cadillac we owned was in a head on wit
Unfortunately the 2011 excellent DTS Cadillac we owned was in a head on with a loose horse and my husband was killed and me suffering injuries for 3 years. Needless to say that Cadillac was totaled. It was my mother’s day gift from my love. To top that in 2 months I lost my only grand daughter and her 3 year old girl in a horrific wreck roll over auto accident where they drowned in the bayou of Louisiana. It was so devastating to where all I wanted to do was die. Then 2 weeks later lost 3 very long time best friends in weird tragic ways.Rented a car for 3 months then found this incredible awesome 2013 Cadillac XTS 4. Only 6,000 miles from previous owner. I was happy to say the sales rep got me through to the purchase and it was my Miracle Car. I have loved it with all my heart and had more compliments than ever on an auto from young kids to people so old they could hardly walk with their canes or walkers. It is an absolute beauty.BUT now... along with so, so many I found online with exact same problem, most threatening, suggesting or planning to file a class action suit, I too am so distraught because the CUE SYSTEM is OUT! It began (like most others) at the bottom level, then in short time, maybe 2 weeks, the entire system went out. NO navigation, no radio, no Sirius XM, which Ive paid a year in advance for. No car phone, no emergency contact info. The car was purchased as a luxury with all of this in it, but now it is NOT working! I suggested to the big online group to let’s ask Cadillac to do a RECALL since so many have or will have this same problem, trying to talk them out of a class action suit.I do NOT want to make a bad name for Cadillac as I LOVE the dealership, the SERVICE representatives and mechanics and the dept. Their services are the BEST ever! The salesman who sold it to me was the BEST ever. Im 77 so Ive purchased a lot of cars and dealt with a lot of salesmen! Will you PLEASE, PLEASE help me to get this CUE Infotainment Center replaced? I was told by dealership it would be a minimum of $1,200 and others were told up to $1,900.We are appalled that our warranties and extended warranties do not cover replacement and there is no fix for it. Warranties state that the only classification is RADIO and radio is not covered. Thanks for your help. Hopefully to assist me in pulling out of this deep depression and downhill slide with this all now happening on top of everything else. This system is really the only companionship I had when traveling alone.

Bought my XT5 in December of 2020. It has been the worst thing I could have done. I traded my Lexus and I am so disappointed in Cadillac. I took it in 3 times for them to try and fix, Parking Brake, All wheel drive system, StabiliTrak, steering assist. My dash was lit up like a Christmas tree only to find out after 3 times there was a corroded wiring harness and then a bad camera. After all of that, I had a flood under my gas pedal that soaked over to the passenger side too, so I took it in a fourth time. This vehicle stalled on me driving south bound Interstate 75. I have called Cadillac customer service 3 times to report this safety issue and they have not bothered to call me back. Shame on Cadillac on the lack of response to a serious safety concern! Really regret trading my Lexus. Dont buy Cadillac!!!! They clearly do not care about safety concerns.

The Escalade is a great SUV, with power and luxury. It has great handling, excellent 4WD and came with a standard antitheft system. The STS gets good gas mileage for a luxury sedan. It has intelligent beam headlights and has some great features. It also has a phenomenal audio system and I upgraded to deluxe CD player system. I bought the last model year in 2011 and loved the 3.6 L V-6 engine. It has heated seats, heated steering wheel, easy to use cruise control, heated mirrors, rear seats which fold down, and the center armrest has a pass thru. It makes it easy to put fishing poles and/or skis in the trunk. The interior is roomy. It can easily accommodate five adult passengers or six if some are children. Theres enough legroom in the back so that no ones knees are hitting the back of the front seat, even when the driver has the seat back.

My son was involved in an accident in my 2006 Cadillac STS in the mountains of Dahlonega, Georgia. The accident was an off the road incident where son lost control of the car and impacted several trees with the side and front of the vehicle. The impact was severe enough to push the front bumper back to the radiator and front frame rail. The airbag did not deploy, and OnStar did not notify us of the accident. Though my son made it out with just mild injuries, if he hadnt we may not have known of the accident for hours. OnStar claims that they have other sensors other than the ones on the airbag deployment system. From the degree of impact they should have be notified. The airbag problem seems to fairly prevalent and there are several complaints of the failure. IT happened to my car, could it happen to yours?

I purchased a 2006 Cadillac CTS in May 2010. Since the purchase, I have had several car repairs resulting in thousands of dollars. I make sure that I receive regular oil changes and follow recommendations for Mobil 1 oil only. I have to purchase approximately 6 to 8 quarts of the oil to add to my engine between oil changes. I had my mechanic assess the vehicle and there are no leaks. The car simply drinks oil. This is quite an expense since an oil change is approximately $100 and a quart of Mobil 1 oil is $10 a quart. This is simply unacceptable. I have read many complaints where people have lost their engines over oil consumption. Its simply not fair to the consumer to have to bear this expense for a product that is supposed to be trusted. In addition to this, I am putting brakes on my vehicle (front and back) twice a year. This is unheard of. There needs to be some accountability and responsibility for the makers of this vehicle.

First, I will start by saying that I LOVE my car...and this has been my 3rd Cadillac that I have owned...but I guarantee that it will be my LAST! I have a 2013 Cadillac ATS and as of last August (2017), the CUE System stopped responding to touch on the screen. Therefore, like thousands of others out there...I am unable to use the airflow controls (feet, face, etc) as well as the Navigation because you have to confirm your location ON THE SCREEN which will not work! Of course this conveniently stopped working just after the warranty expired on the vehicle. Of course the only option is to have the CUE system/screen replaced at a lovely price of $1,200-$1,500 and that alone is not a guaranteed fix. I have seen so many comments from other owners who have replaced this 2-3 times for it to only continue to FAIL!!! There are thousands of vehicles out there with this exact same issue yet GM has done absolutely nothing!!! Youre a huge corporation... Stand behind it, take care of the problem and maybe you will retain your loyal consumers. Do nothing and you will inevitably lose them.

They could care less how long you go without a vehicle. Will not provide a loaner. I know friends with a Lexus, BMW get loaners and treated like they care. The problem is Cadillacs faulty design in the sunroof water cant drain properly so it runs into the car shorting out electrical. This happened not once but twice. Now I cant see at night unless my lights are on bright because of anther faulty design. Headlight covers retain moisture and become faded and cloudy. A class action lawsuit is ongoing but they are telling me I have to pay $1000 out of my pocket. I dont Think so. When I wreck because of this a lawsuit will be placed on Cadillac. They cant pick and choose who they will take care of. As Im typing this my car sits in the service dept while they dont care. Johnson motor co wont even call back.
