Pathetic service. First they booked the car at a great deal and I gave the booking cheque and documents also required for booking. They cancelled the booking and returned the cheque very next day saying that the car model and variant I have booked is already sold in their Ludhiana showroom and will be available in stock next year at an increased price and no discounts. God knows what a crappy inventory management system they are using. These guys spoiled my familys new year plans.

A few years ago I bought my new Hyundai Sonata. I still drive this car every day to work, love it. Unfortunately, Hyundai has no customer service when it comes to their finance company/department. After paying off my Sonata 3/24/2015, Hyundai sent the title etc. On 4/9/2015 Hyundai took $491.51 out of my bank account! My wife called and we told them to stop, which they agreed and said it would take 30 days to cut a check back to us for the amount they owed us. Again on 5/11/2015 they took out another $491.51, so this time I called. Their (800) 523-4030 customer service number is a joke. I had to talk to a supervisor who was able to tell me the first overpayment check was in the mail and that it would take another 30 days for the second overpayment check to be cut and then mailed. So, its 6/25/2015 and Im at my wits end... I believe its time for a lawsuit. I called yesterday 6/24/2015 and spoke with a supervisor ** who said he would call back and never did... the only status I received was that the check hadnt been cut and they cant seem to figure out why. Luckily after the second occurrence I contacted my bank and had them block Hyundai from messing things up further. I contacted Hyundai again today on my way to work, spoke with another supervisor who said shes escalated... took my cell number down and said shed call me back... well she never did and its 9pm.I feel that Hyundai finance lacks customer service so bad that Im now to the tipping point of never doing any more business with Hyundai motors in general. Luckily the $491.51 isnt my rent, but I know that nearly $500 is a lot of money to most families. Ive contacted the Corporate customer service who cant do anything about it because the Hyundai Motors Finance is a separate company all together... now I know why. This is the last time Ill ever finance anything without an actual bank or financial establishment, Hyundai... get your act together. Ill be suing for the interest I could have made on over 30 days of the first $491.51 and will be suing for the second $491.51 plus interest until this is settled. I hate to do it because my time is money and its an annoyance, but its my civic duty. I paid Hyundai interest when they loaned me money to purchase one of their cars, so they should pay me for interest when I loaned them money (unknowingly and without approval) until they pay me back in full. In conclusion, steer clear of Hyundai Motors Financing... they have no clue what theyre doing and have no authority to actually service their customers properly.

This 2014 Hyundai Elantra is the worst car I ever own! I had nothing but problems with this car. It stalls out all the time. I have it to the dealership 4 times and they cant find anything wrong. No codes and the plastic piece broken off when I pulled it up to, now the front end where my fog lights are the driver side plastic part has came off, I had my fuel injections cleaned at 15,000 and still this car stalls. This has been a bad experience with Hyundai main office not covering anything on my car and I had my case open 4 times over the same issues. I cant wait to get rid this car, I will never buy a Hyundai again.

They have held my title for 4+ months with no resolution! Ridiculous and terrible customer service. I am now stuck in the middle of trying to get this title to my new creditor because they have hung up and wont respond to my new creditor. They hang up on them. Despite the address on the back of the check, the letter, and subsequent 2 letters petitioning for them to send the title from April of 2020 nothing has still been done. Even upon contacting them today, via phone, they say its stuck, Ill send an email to my supervisor and the title division to get the title sent. So ridiculous. Hyundai should be aware, that at least for me, this will keep me from ever using their finance arm again and as many of their deals are if you purchase through them itll definitely drive me to another brand.

Hyundai claims to have Americas best warranty but if you read the fine print youll find out otherwise. Three of the five cars Ive owned as an adult have been Hyundai cars. I liked the warranty and the service, however I have never once with all the servicing Ive had on my cars had their warranty cover anything. Recently I had a transmission problem on my car and I found out that not only am I not covered for 100,000 miles or 10 years as they like to advertise, Im not even covered for 60,000 or 5 years. My car has about 56,000 miles on it and they are not covering anything at this point.Hyundai loves to advertise their amazing 100,000 or 10 year power train warranty, but that only applies to the original owner. The second someone else owns the car it drops down to almost half the mileage (60,000) or 5 years, whichever comes first. It wouldnt be as infuriating if they had not been so vocal about their warranty the whole time. They told me over and over again about the coverage and how great the warranty is. The second youre outside the life of the warranty though things will start falling apart. Its happened with every Hyundai Ive owned. This is the last Hyundai I will ever own.

This is an amazing car. Being a plug in hybrid I get almost 700 miles on combination electric and gas. Its very comfortable and room for 5, plus great storage with the back seats folded down {I can even get my golf clubs and cart in the back}. The electronic features are very good. It gives a feeling of safety and convenience.Sound system is better than I would have thought for a smaller car. I would buy again.

I am on my 4th consecutive Hyundai, and for the most part find them to be good value. BlueLink, on the other hand has changed my opinion of Hyundai. The customer care service, which is required to get any other service, is not valuable and Ive never used it. I paid over $3K extra for a package with push button start so I could take advantage of the remote start feature. Its ridiculous that I have to pay $200/year to use this. I would actually be much better off to pay to have a remote car starter installed. Id do this if I hadnt paid so much for the push button start feature. Ive tried calling Hyundai to see if they could offer any sort of promotional rate, especially considering that now new owners get 3 free years of BlueLink. I tried calling BlueLink customer service on several occasions and hung up after being on hold for over 30 min each. Finally, after a 45 min hold I got through and the rep was able to offer me absolutely nothing. I let him know that when I trade next time, I will be inclined to consider something other than Hyundai.

I have had this car for 14 days. When I bought it the salesman could not get the nav to show anything but one major interstate. I trusted (HUGE MISTAKE) that the dealership would make it right. Now they tell me it has to be set at 150 feet to show street names. If youre on the highway going 60 mph - or even back roads at 40 - you wont have enough time to make the correct turns. Had they been honest about the severe limitations of the cars navigation system, I would have NEVER bought it. It would have been a deal breaker. I feel the dealership beginning to be very sleazy about this: Hyundai Great Lakes in Streetsboro, OH. Theyre basically telling me tough luck.I will not take the car back; am preparing to call my lawyer and will scream to the high heavens about this. I was tricked and lied to by this dealership. JUST DONT BUY A HYUNDAI... SEEMS LOTS OF THE DEALERS ARE SLIMY!!

I bought my car in October 2011. I have been so far 13 times at the dealership, one of them being over a month because the chassis broke! I havent complained until today because my steering wheel started ripping apart due to the humidity. I went to the dealer for it to be replaced and Hyundai Canada apparently only replaces the steering wheel with the older model being the silver trim. Moreover, the trim was already damaged. I have the dark silver. I mean really Hyundai ran out of the dark silver trim steering wheel. So I asked them to put back my old steering wheel even though it is ripped. In one week I am going to see them again for a drive axle problem and re-install my old steering wheel.

My first experience was when I received the recall notice for my 2006 Sonata about the airbags sensor for front passenger seat. I had Sports Durst in Durham check it when I took it in for service (been a while back) and was told nothing was wrong. Later, when someone over 90 lbs was sitting in seat, the airbag light would indicate that it was turned off. I took it to Crenshaw Hyundai in Burlington where they checked it. They confirmed it was faulty and mailed my seat to California for service. Now, my airbag light is back on again and was told by Crenshaw Hyundai that since it had been repaired, the recall work is no longer under warranty. It seems after reading all these complaints that it would not do any good to have it repaired because the majority says the light comes back on or the airbags failed to deploy in accidents or just deployed for no reason. I use to like Hyundais but after this I will never own another one nor recommend them.

I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata March 2015. I had no problems with the car up to a week ago. First my check engine light came on and then a knocking-ticking noise from my engine. I took my car to OReilly and they checked it and informed me it was the camshaft. After then I was driving down the road the noise got louder and then the car stalled. It shut off in the middle of the road. All the lights came on and it STOPPED!My car was towed to a local Hyundai dealership. Spoke to someone this morning and they havent even looked at the car yet. I work 35-40 miles from where I stay and I dont have no other kind of transportation. After further review I found that Hyundai has had a ridiculous amounts of recalls on all of their vehicles even the new ones. I also found out that they recalled over 470,000 Hyundai Sonatas 2011-2012. After reading the reviews of this recall my car is doing the same thing as the 2011-2012 models. I have contacted Hyundai twice and all they are telling me is that my car is not part of that recall. My car is doing the same exact thing. They do not care and it is just ridiculous that there is so many problems. They wont get me a rental or a loaner. I plan to go to everyone news station I can find and report this issue. These cars arent safe or reliable and someone has to speak up and take action!!!

Leased my third Hyundai in February, 2020 one month early because my dealer had the SUV that we wanted. Turned in 2017 Sonata and owed a total of $1,600.00 for mileage and last month. Paid 3 weeks early and they said it hasn’t been paid. I sent a copy of bank check, front and back to Hyundai finance that was cashed. I’ve called five times and they don’t know where the money was applied. It’s coming up on three months past due per Hyundai finance. My credit rating has went from 800 to 640. I’ve contacted the Better Business Bureau and the dealer. I will never buy/lease another Hyundai again. Once my lease is up, I will be returning the vehicle and leasing a different vehicle, if my credit is repaired by then. My last resort is contacting my attorney if I get nowhere with Better Business Bureau or the dealer. This has been a nightmare and I would advise staying away from Hyundai and their financial department.

I have recently purchase a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with 58k miles from a private party due to wanting to avoid financing and dealer fees. Main reason why I went with Hyundai was for their greatly advertise 10 years 100,000 miles warranty. Little that I know when I call Hyundai dealership about the status of my vehicle warranty I was told the warranty is non transferable to a second owner. That really let me down. Mon, 10-14-19 hybrid system failure. Roadside assistance arranged for vehicle hauled to nearest dealership...one where we purchased it 11 mo prior in Montgomery AL, the dealership is 45 min drive from our house...Hard to reach ppl via ph for info re our car--during one call, informed us only 2 certified hybrid techs, both unfortunately had fam emergencies this week, had to leave early-- one day told us the electric water pump being replaced, another day told didnt need one. On Fri 10-11-19 the service advisor called to say it was ready, that the code for water pump was old, they cleared as per techline instructions then a driver (never found out who drove it the 53 mi since i was told the name would be on receipt but it wasnt...it was not a service tech or advisor, just a driver) Did not feel comfortable picking it up since nothing was fixed & expressed such to the advisor but was assured it was ok. Gut saying this not sound right, called Hyundai customer service and explained situation. Was told the info being sent to a case mgr who would be in touch in a couple of business days. Well, on Mon 10-14-19 the hybrid system failed. This time on a busy highway in morning traffic, thankfully able to make it off road and into business parking lot despite losing power. This time because of the location where it broke down, roadside assistance (who finally answered call after 33 min on hold) ordered it sent it to another dealership, this one in Bham AL. Because the case mgr had not made contact yet, called customer service again and rep confirmed that was right, our car had to go to Bham because according to present location thats nearest dealership, if not we would be responsible for paying. While waiting over an hour for the tow vehicle, called ahead to the dealerships service dept hoping to arrange for a loaner vehicle since this location is pretty far from my home. Customer service said couldnt do it for me, had to wait for case mgr- who was scheduled to call me the next day between 1 and 3pm...how does that help me now? (I did not get loaner while mine was in shop 5 days the week before.) Man at dealership said that they couldnt guarantee would have a car available. Floored to hear that, so next called dealership in Montgomery and explained what going on. After all, I was just there on Friday. They arranged to send someone to drive me down there for a loaner. I am grateful they agreed to give me a car and young woman who came for us was sweet, but I was shocked when she got a call from the service dept telling her to hand her cell phone to the tow driver...he confirmed my suspicion that they told him to take car down there, not Bham as roadside had ordered. I made it clear that I was not able to pay for it to go anywhere else, that 2 different persons from Hyundai said it had to go to Bham. He agreed to do as originally instructed. 2 1/2 hrs after placed call to roadside, car headed to dealership in Bham, we on way to Montgomery for loaner. (Driver was accommodating and stopped at Wendys as we requested to grab lunch.) Sonata hybrid system failed at 9:25 a.m., we finally made it back home at 2pm. Case mgr called Mon at 4:30p.m. She expressed that she was glad vehicle went to current location instead of former. Said she has better working relationship with this one. At this point were hopeful that it was all for the best...boy was that wrong! Tuesday 10-15-19 just past noon the advisor called to say scanned for codes, got same one as previous service dept but here they consulted techline and concluded the low voltage was due to a light being left on in the car, so after driving 18 mi with no issues they felt could be picked up by us. Absolutely floored at that explanation--so different from what we got from other dealership-- expressed felt even more uncomfortable driving off again without any repair done, esp after what happened the last time. It has already experienced the hybrid system failure 3x while were driving down the road at this point. Same code, totally different answers. Was told would check on it again first thing next morning and see how it does. At lunchtime Wed 10-16-19 advisor calls back to say car seems fine but he needs more info, cant find service record from Montgomery in the system. Sounds strange but we are nervous about this dangerous problem and want to get to the root cause. Not want get caught stranded on road again, so we volunteer to send copy of our invoice via email. Advisor calls back just a short time later to say he consulted with advisor in Montgomery AND the case mgr who agree electric water pump needs to be replaced. (Wow, were amazed he was able to get them both on phone in that short amount of time. But then again he works there... As a customer, calling and getting straight thru to someone is very rare. Usually have to leave message and sometimes takes days to get call back.) He says will order new pump, it wont come in until mid afternoon following day and we will need to be worked in to the schedule. So dont expect it to be ready until Mon. at earliest. Wanting to be certain this is the root of the problem, asked if that was what techline had now told him to do in order to fix it or did he just go by what other advisor said? (The first advisor had told us that if car had ended up back there again, they wouldve put one on...so, they were ok letting us drive a car that they mustve known had a good chance of shutting off on us going down the road again, then they would fix it?? So, what was that explanation about it being an old code??) Well, he replied he did not personally talk to techline. Makes us wonder why he would go off the advice from a dealership he had expressed little respect for previously? And why the case mgr would, either, especially seeing that she expressed same feelings toward them?? But he said thats the plan and to make us feel more comfortable that 3 ppl would test drive it before give back to us: him (advisor),a technician and the service mgr, even said one of them could drive it home so could spend more time with the vehicle. Hmm.. Well, later that afternoon the case manager called confirming this dealership will replace elect water pump and said Montgomery service mgr apologized for not doing so. She confirmed the part was being ordered today. She said should not expect car completed until possibly midweek...which we were fine with that time frame, even though longer than advisor had said would take, if it was going to be what needed to fix the problem. Now is where things took a strange turn. Not expecting part in at Bham dealership until Thursday afternoon 10-17-19, ironically got call from Montgomery service dept stating the car is ready. Wait, what???? Totally confused, asked if our vehicle was back in Montgomery?? No, it was not. Next, asked why is someone in Montogomery calling to tell us instead of the staff in Bham?? Well, thats still up in air... as to who contacted whom first or why they needed to in first place...your guess is as good as any. Each accused other and at this point our confidence level in either is gone. It was a very unprofessional event to be caught in the middle of. I called two times trying to reach service manager for Bham, first time got his vm, left message but no reply. After waiting a while, 2nd time called someone else answered the phone when asked operator for him. That individual put the advisor on line. It is very odd that Bham service advisor said Montgomery shouldnt have called me yet because its NOT ready. This despite the fact that Montgomery sent a screenshot, via text message, of an email Bham service mgr sent telling Montgomery the vehicle is ready. Wow, just wow...so I address this with the advisor, who explains that even though the service manager signed off on it, he-the advisor- is not done yet. This is totally confusing, so immediately called case manager, but she not answer, left her a message. Next day, Friday 10- 18-19 after advisor calls stating now car looks to be sound, we express that events of the previous day made us uncomfortable and not ready to get it, want to wait until discuss with case mgr. He says take your time. Wanting to verify what exactly was done , by whom and when, we try to contact case mgr again , but again have to leave message. Trying to call a different # for assistance was no help, was told being transferred and after 8 min on hold was disconnected. Over the weekend we received several emails inviting us to rate our experiences with the dealerships and case manager. So we did give ratings of dealerships, but replied to email about case manager that would rate her when shes finished with our case. (Hoped that would get a call returned sooner...so much for that) Did not hear back from her until Wed a.m. 10-23-19. So disappointed that the info she shared contradicted that from previous conversations. We made request for car to be returned to us, not feel safe driving if cant keep stories straight as to how fixed. Here is what we take issue with. 1) Says the ser mgr in bham called one in Montgomery to find out what was wrong with car, this is off because when he finally called today, Wed 10-23-19, stated that he was not familiar with the vehicle, needed to be clued in. 2) Now being told the pump was ordered on Mon evening 10-14-19, (recall, thats the day before the advisor said we could pick it up because left light on and its fine now). 3) She says service mgr told her car was ready Saturday (remember the fiasco on Thursday the 17th, the email he sent replying the car is ready? Same day tried calling her but no response). So, who are we supposed to believe at this point??? She asks what we want from Hyundai? First time asked that was on first call way back on 14th, told her want car fixed correctly. Not convinced that happened. Techline was referenced several times but weve been told we cant be given any contact info for them so we can verify our car care was handled in most appropriate manner...we want any info techline got from either dealership and what info they related to them. Customer service says we can and should get a second opinion of not happy, but we have to pay for it. Our request is that they return our vehicle back to us, so we can do just that. We asked for it to be towed back, but they refused. We are not confident in the service provided at this point, would hate if mishandled and it ends up shutting down again on the road. Advisor says he confident enough to drive it back to us, but not enough employees avail for one to drive him back to dealership. Ser mgr says needs to think outside the box with our request...it would make other customers jealous if did for us and cant for them.... That was the last weve heard from anyone about it...That was on Wed 10-23-19 when told going to discuss with general mgr of dealership and get back with us... Reached out to general mgr of Montgomery dealership who replied to our online reviews, but he has not return our call either.

2007 Accent problems - Where to start. First off, Ive had nothing but issues with this car. Faulty lighting, faulty sensors even my passenger air bag doesnt work, and theyve fixed it twice now. My light still remains on. I started having car issues when my car started jerking really hard when it went into gear. I took it to the dealership and they said everything was okay. My car runs like a champ. I asked them personally. Did you check my transmission? They said yes, everything is fine. I called a week later because I still was feeling the kick in my transmission. They said they never checked my transmission last time I was in. I feel I was lied to. Also, apparently, there was a recall on my car for several faulty wiring issues. I was never informed about this. I just found out in 2012 when this recall happened in 2009. Also, I got into a car accident. It was not my fault. Ive had my car took in twice for an alignment, window fixed 3 times. Also, my axle was affected in this wreck. They did not tell me this until I took it to someone else and they told me that my axle was messed up due to my car being hit. Hyundai never fixed it. Ive had something lose moving around under my car ever since the accident and they are still saying there is nothing wrong with my car and refuse to fix it. I plan on getting this car fixed then trading it in. Ive paid way too much money for things that were under warranty and should have been fixed the first time. I will never again purchase a car from Hyundai.

2011 Sonata - I complained about the trunk opening for no reason. Nothing was ever done. I was told to not put the two keys together in my pocket or leave them together at any time. Most of the time I was looked at like I had two heads. I told the manager to look on the computer and see how many people were complaining about the same problem. Then I was told to bring in the car for them to look it over. I had the same problem with the 2009 Sonata, and after a bring-in service, I was told the problem was fixed. It continued! The problem is my wife who is handicapped loves this car. She doesnt feel comfortable in many cars because of the legroom. I am disgusted and I am looking to get rid of this car. Any suggestions?

This morning, my husband goes into the garage and notices all the lights are on on the car. Headlights dash is lit up and brake lights are on. He thinks I left the lights on and goes to flip the switch, nothing, so he starts the car, turns the car off, the electrical goes off but engine continues to run with no key in the ignition. In order to shut off the car, he has to pull the fuse for the fuel pump. He then disconnected the battery, waited for an hour reconnected battery and guess what, the electrical is all lit up again with nothing and I mean nothing in the ignition. So he once again disconnects the battery and we wait.4 hrs later, I reconnect the battery, the electrical is still all lit up but now a new issue. Something caught fire under the cup holders and melted the cup holders and guess what, I am out a car. I broke the 100k yesterday. I have 3 payments left and nothing able to do about it. After reading 900 plus comments on here and googling anything similar to this, I FOUND nothing. When I called the dealership, the first thing out of their mouths was its out of warranty, the entire electrical will need to be replaced, and 3 are you sure it was the car running and not the fan... Will never ever own another Hyundai again.

I just like to have a horrible nightmare story with my Hyundai Sonata 2005 in last 2 years. I desperately need your legal helps, suggestions and comments. On 02/22/2012, My Sonata 2005 just past 70,914 Miles and I was suggested by young guy name ** to change my Timing Belt and etc. I spent $967.43 to let Lehigh Valley, PA Hyundai Service Center done the job. At that point, my car just have a tire issue. After 2 weeks, I hear some noise when I first time start car. I called **. He told me because it’s new belt and Id better to tolerant it. At April, I still hear noise and little bit loud. I call them again. They let me left the car with them several days. They wrote it down as they cant find any problem and adjust timing belt little. They sold me about annual State Inspection package this time. After that, I changed Spark Plug and Engine Oil with top line product myself in the same year. I always use Hyundai Genuine Oil and Air Filters once day one and do this maintenance job myself when I purchased the car as brand new one. I tolerant this problem several months and called them again. They still tell me the same answer. I was so busy for my job and life. I cant always let them keep my car for several days to find nothing. On 04/08/2013 at 88,055 miles, I hear a belt broken sound while I am driving on I-78 and engine is completely shut down. I called them ask for road assistant and was told to paid for towing or solve myself. I managed myself to get their place. They told me that I have to pay myself for the repairs. After several days, they called and informed me that they found the engine was broken. They will cover for these repairs. In last year, I already talk to totally different Manager and Service Reps. They also told me that they had difficult to find replace engine. Until 05/01/2013, I was called for the job done.I changed engine oil with Hyundai Genuine Oil Filter and 5 Gallon Castrol High Mileage 10W40 myself last summer. And I wish I can keep this car for another 5 years. However, I notice in Nov. the oil check light sometimes flashing in an barely occasion while I drive on highway ramp and stop at traffic. Im NOT pay too much attention about this issue. I know if I call them, they will keep my car for several days and find nothing. Thats about their service and skills.Last month of 8th, I try to pull my car from heavy snow in dark evening and the car start as normal and was NOT working after several times back and forth to pull out. With several light on, I can start the car at all. I give up my efforts to drive car out in that evening. I called my job off in second morning and try to start it again. It was OK and out of from the snow. I immediately drive to LV Hyundai Service Center and notice that the engine check light is solid ON while I stop at traffic. They call me afternoon and tell me they cant find any engine oil in my car and the engine is broken again and ask me about engine oil and filter purchase receipts. I usually dont keep these small purchase receipt for my normal life. However, I can show them my a couple of old replacement Hyundai Genuine Oil Filters in my garage. I bring two used filter and one air filter. I argue with them NO CAR should running under engine oil while my gas tank is 80% full. Your engine has a big design defect. You should repair or replace it again under your all your warranty claims and consumer protection laws. I talk to them back and forth several time already. They still refuse to do so. I dont have my car for more than one month. Please help me if you all can. Thank you very much in advance.

We have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited with 30000 kms on it and it has been at the dealership in Fredericton, NB for 7 weeks now waiting for a wiring harness which was diagnosed after replacing the computer and fuel pump. The engine light continues to come on time after time. The wiring harness arrived this week after 7 weeks only to discover Hyundai sent the wrong one after being hand made in Korea. Now they tell me they have another one coming from Alabama, amazing how that got there. On top of this problem, since we bought the car new, we have had constant steering problems with the car which cant seem to be fixed, along with the alternator pulsating and the battery going dead. After contacting Hyundai Canada several times, I keep getting the run around and they will not put me in contact with someone that has some decision making power. This car is unsafe to be on the road as it self accelerates when the engine light is on.

In 2010 I leased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I had previously purchased a Hyundai and had decided to stay with the company because I feel customer loyalty goes a long way. In 2013 my lease was up, and I loved my first Sonata so much that I decided to lease another one! I went in a month before the lease ended to shop around. The sales person convinced me to participate in the pull ahead program. This program lets you terminate the lease early as long as you sign another lease. I was excited to be in a new car a month before I originally thought I would be! Although they didnt have exactly what I wanted, I left with a new lease that day. Fast forward to today, and Im still dealing with calls from debt collectors/Hyundais corporate office saying I owe payment for the last month on my previously leased car. Despite reassurance from the local dealership that I dont owe anything, the calls continue to come. Not only to my cell, but also to my work (Im an ICU RN). Getting notifications from my coworkers that I have a phone call from a debt collector is not only embarrassing and untrue, but it is distracting from my job! This whole ordeal has made it look like I dont pay my bills, bringing my character into question among my coworkers. Not to mention the stress it has caused my husband and I. We have spent so much of our time worrying about the possibility of this royal screw up by Hyundai ultimately affecting our credit, which we work very hard to keep in excellent standing. Im so frustrated with this that I just want to be done with Hyundai completely, but they refuse to work with me to get me out of my current lease! As much as I love my car I dont agree with the way they do business, and I feel taken advantage of and trapped. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!

Although I love my car, I have to say without question, DO NOT BUY OR LEASE HYUNDAI CARS. On November 26, 2016 I leased a 2017 Hyundai and turned in my 2014 Hyundai to the local Hyundai dealer. My lease payment went up about nine dollars a month. My bank inadvertently sent the new payment to the 2014 account instead of the new 2017 car account. I received a collection call on a Sunday saying I was two weeks passed due. I paid it again on the phone and started to check out why they did not receive it. When I called Hyundai Finance approximately six weeks after turning in the 2014 they said they had the extra money but were keeping it until the 2014 car closes out. MY BANK SENT THE MONEY IN ERROR. It is now nine weeks since I turned in the car and they still have my money. I will never buy a Hyundai product again even though it is a great car and I am now on my second Hyundai. I have checked with Mission Hills Hyundai, a terrific dealer, who is trying to get Hyundai to send me my refund. They keep apologizing however I still am out the money. The Hyundai Finance people are extremely hard to deal with. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI PRODUCT!

I have a 2007 Elantra. First, I had to replace the rack and onion at 75000 miles, which is highly unusual for a vehicle. Of course it was just 10k over mileage to be under the warranty. The certified Hyundai dealer told me this was the problem and I had it replaced but the steering still felt sloppy and I made them keep looking. When they finally looked at it they realized the bearings in the steering shaft were worn. They were going to charge me for this but I told them I just paid 1200 for a fix I may not have needed and the dealer did not charge. When I came in to pick up the car the dealer as Lee said they would cover it under the power train -- I still havent figured out how the steering column is covered and the rack was not. I also reported this to Consumer Affairs and they listened but didnt do anything to make it right. Now the car has 85,000 miles on it and it has stalled out when Im going slow or idling. Its happened about 4 times in 6 months and it is very dangerous because its so random. I hate my Hyundai and will never buy another one. Its a great warranty on a piece of junk.

My 2007 Tiburon is still under warranty. The air conditioning stopped working completely. I took it in for warranty repair and the Ourisman Hyundai of Bowie, MD to fix the a/c, saying instead that I had to pay over $200 just for them to determine what was wrong with it. They also accidentally admitted that many Hyundai a/cs malfunction because the condenser is situated in a bad spot. Poor design. The fragile and vulnerable condenser unit is placed too close to the front and too close to the road that the tiniest pebble can make a hole in it. This design flaw is peculiar to Hyundai cars and they know about it but refused to accept responsibility. To make matters worse, they still charge you over $200 just to check it out, knowing full well that they intend to tell you that the warranty does not cover it. So you are out the $200 for their so-called inspection, plus your a/c still doesnt work, plus it will cost you over $1100 to fix a tiny hole caused by poor design. So, warning, dont buy a Hyundai. They dont honor their warranty plus their cars seem to have peculiar design flaws and their dealerships seem to employ low quality, deceitful people.

Non- uniform & Excessive Tire Wear. There is a documented history of this problem in 2011 & 2012 Sonatas. In to the shop after 2000 miles for slight steering problem - Results - The Dealer checked out the car and determined that it was not one included in the recall so there is nothing wrong with my car. Back to the shop at 10,000 miles. Left front and right rear tire wearing and cupping on the inside. Result - told to rotate tires. Tires had been rotated every 5000 miles. At 20,000 miles the tires were making so much noise it sound like I was running big off road tires on pavement. I called Hyundai customer service and got a service number to have the car checked out. They put the car on the rack and said Everything is in spec. and wear is consistent with the mileage. I showed the service manager the tread depth readings I had taken on each tire; inside, center and outside. He just dismissed me.At 27,000 miles I couldnt stand the noise so I bought new tires (not from the dealer) from Pep Boys. They had an old time alignment guy that adjusted the camber on the rear wheel but there was no provision for adjusting the front wheels. I also did not rotate the tires again. The rear wheel adjustment did help but it was very obvious the front was still wearing badly. At 70,000 miles I bought another set of tires because of the noise. I kept the old tires, took pictures of all of them and went back to the dealer. He had his people look at them and they all stated the tires had uneven wear and cupping. I am now pursuing getting the car fixed (Good Luck). I do have a case number, but I will have a hard time getting the service manager to move ahead. I have also filed with the BBB but they said I have too many miles on the car. My next best recourse at this point is to keep the pressure on customer service. There is a documented history of this problem in 2011 and 2012 Sonatas. Please let me know if you have any experience with problem and with Hyundai.

Hyundai definitely needs to recall this vehicle because my car has been back and forth in the shop due to the mechanics solely depending on computer codes to find whats wrong. Do it the old way. The people are great when it comes to buying your car. But when it comes to helping fix it it is a nightmare. I got a new engine 3 months ago. They had it for 9 weeks. After 3 months of having it now it is having another issue and no one seems to know how to help other than fixing it. The parts are nowhere to be found and they have NO loaner cars, which I was told at first one wouldnt be given to me because my warranty didnt cover it even though had they done it right in the 9 weeks they had it, I wouldnt be in the position I am right now with NO car. After struggling for 7 weeks last time, they finally gave me a loaner the last 2 or 3 weeks of it all.Now we are at yet another situation where they cant help. This is completely aggravating and disappointing from Gates. I have been with them 7 years and this has been the worst yet. No big issues have happened in the past. My car is a 2014 with 41,000 miles and it shouldnt be where it is now. It has been well maintained and cared for. Before you buy, just know they are great but thats their job when selling. But when it comes to fixing things later on down the road, good luck.

Purchased a Hyundai Kona in 2018, just over 30G miles while in Colorado the check engine light goes on (this is August 2020). Take the car to Boulder Hyundai, they have no real idea what is wrong with it, replace injectors, debris in engine, they dont know why.... Wont release car as it could be unsafe, all 4 pistons misfiring so bad that the steering wheel pulls aggressively to the right. Supposedly they fix it, I am told if check engine light comes back on, stop car immediately and have it towed in, as it is dangerous to drive. Well Sept 7th, check engine light comes on again, steering wheel pulling aggressively again due to misfiring. I stop, have car towed in. Nalley Hyundai has had my car since 9/8/20. Replaced everything again, still same problem, they are in no rush to help, they have had my car for OVER 6 weeks, no clue whats wrong, I am completely at their mercy! Still making payments on car I cannot drive, they refuse to take it back and make it right. So I am paying on a car I have not driven in over 6 weeks and there is nothing I can do about it! I went to the shop for check up on a problem for car not running. They made diagnostic and said it was something with the sensor of the gasoline injection. So I told them to go ahead and repair and they did charging almost $300.00. I went to pick it up and after I got out of the dealer, I started feeling the car with same problem. So I went back to them, this time they said, “Ok, it is weekend and we will check and will call you back.” When they called me back, they said now that it was the transmission and that I need a new one. I was never advised for any problem with transmission even when I use to take the car for service with them and I used to go for any problems with the car to this dealer. I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson 1.6T Limited in August 2017. Driving to work on the highway the panoramic glass roof exploded. Confused me so much because it was 6:45am, no one was around me, sunny day, no trucks in front of me or anything. (All this is provable as I have dash cam video of the front and rear of the car). Sounded like a shotgun. For starters, thankfully my 2 year old son and my wife were not in the car as the backseat was full of glass. I managed to not lose control of the vehicle and managed to exit the highway and pull into a gas station. I phoned roadside assistance and got towed to the dealer. While in the tow truck and still confused I began searching online if this was a known issue and lo and behold Hyundai is VERY well known for this and is #1 in exploding roofs here in Canada and the United States. After getting the vehicle to the dealer and getting home to wash glass out of my head, the next morning I receive a call from the manager at the dealer advising me that Hyundai Canada will NOT be fixing this under warranty even though the manager at Maple Hyundai acknowledged that he has seen articles pertaining to this happening to others in the past. The fact that I have dash cam footage means nothing also. Upon purchasing the vehicle I even purchased their fancy extended warranty. That also means nothing not that I even needed it because I am still technically under the 3 year whatever regular one. Hyundai Canada turned the warranty job down saying that it must have been cracked from before which I am not sure how they can make that type of assumption. First of all, as I said the front and rear cameras both show the exact same time and date just different views. You see from the rear camera a blast of glass fly. The front camera shows absolutely nothing fly at the vehicle. Secondly, tempered glass does not crack it explodes. Thirdly even if for whatever magical reason it was cracked from the night before, why would it wait until 29km (18 miles) into my drive to burst while driving on a smooth road. These vehicles are NOT SAFE and I urge any especially families to look at alternate manufacturers who actually care about the safety of their passengers.

THE WORST!! I would choose zero stars for the review if it was an option! We financed our car from Hyundai Finance in November 2019 and waited 3 months to receive our title, but we never received it. We then relocated to another state and to be able to register our car, we needed our title. So, we requested a duplicate title from Hyundai in February 2020. We still haven’t received our title because Hyundai Finance fails to address our request properly every time for TWO YEARS. We have been sending countless checks and request letters to Hyundai Finance for them to request a duplicate title from the DMV for us, but they keep saying they haven’t received any checks, even though they are all delivered. For two years now, we haven’t been able to register our car in the state we live in because of the incompetency of the Hyundai title department. There is no way to call the titles department or even send a direct email to them. We have been calling customer service for two years, asking them to send emails on our behalf to the title’s department. But still no action and no clear response!! They even sometimes hang up on me instead of addressing my concerns and requests. This is the WORST experience I’ve ever had with a company in my life!! BEWARE and stay clear of Hyundai Finance!!

At 2157 miles I caught a bubble on the right front tire and went back to the dealer where I leased it. Right away they told me its my fault. The warranty I was talked into getting at time of purchase was not valid for that work. I was super upset. I know what the man said real clearly. Wow talking about standing behind your product which these people DONT do. Now currently Im having back camera and connecting problem with Bluetooth. I been wanting since September about feeling unsafe about the handling while driving to come with an agreement to trade the car for another Hyundai. I will NOT GET ANOTHER HYUNDAI EVER. I cant believe I have to drive this car like a 80-year-old woman. It take bumps hard. I have to worry about not getting another bubble on the tires. Also when driving over 40 miles an hour car tends to fishtail. Oh well I guess for the next two and a half years I will be making a long service record of this car and well be bringing it into the dealership for every little noise that comes out of it. I wouldnt mind spending a little time at the dealership with free Wi-Fi and free donuts and free coffee. Hyundai is forcing me to stay a car that I feel unsafe with so I will be doing my part and giving them a LONG CARFAX service record. Lets see how they will sell the car after me.

My wife and I just purchased a 2013 Hyundai Azera in November 2013. Since then we have had numerous complaints with the vehicle in and out of the service department. Keep in mind the dealership is 90 miles one way and a rental vehicle was only offered one time to us out of the several trips we had to make. Let me start with noise up over the driver sun visor. The service department could never find and still to this day the noise can still be heard. Two of the wheels the clear coat started to come off. They did not want to replace the wheels and by stating that it was a product we must had used on them when washing the car. Needless to say I became very angry and we did receive two new wheels after the fact. The vehicle being 8 months old with 27,000 miles one of the tires are so worn and legally should not be on the road. The other three tires are worn but not worn as bad. Tires with 27,000 miles should have more tread on them. This vehicle gets serviced and tires rotated every 3,000 miles and all services have been scheduled at the dealership where we purchased the vehicle but one. The service department at the dealership is the worst we have ever had to come in contact with. You have two people telling you two different things regarding the tire tread. Alignment was good and was told we needed to contact Hankook the tire company and this was not a Hyundai problem. Hyundai is the one that contracted Hankook to put these tires on the car so I feel this is Hyundais problem. The chrome molding around the two back passenger windows is popping off. The dealership mentioned on the service print out that both moldings were loose but is only going to replace the driver side molding. I guess the passenger side molding will be another trip to the dealership before they will replace it instead of replacing them both at the same time. You can clearly see the passenger side molding loose too. Hyundai did everything in their power to sell us this vehicle with this wonderful 100,000 mile warranty but every time you have a problem you have to cause a scene and get angry before anyone wants to do anything. The tires is the biggest issue. This is a new vehicle and nothing is getting done about it. Is this how Hyundai treats their customers? I guess more complaints have to come forward or even deaths before Hyundai does anything about this major problem. If you are reading this just be aware of all the complaints listed and should reconsider purchasing a Hyundai. I wish we had done more research before we made our purchase.

Shiny plastic cover over interior driver door latch (to open) began peeling off. Before the warranty on this item expired at 60K miles, advised that the dealership had to order another cover. Assuming it is a peel off, stick on type of application. No mention of buying a completely new door latch just because plastic surface was peeling off. In the meantime, a fog lamp went out; one of the door locks stopped working. Dealer advised that none is covered by warranty. Cost of replacing the door latch $150 b/c the entire assembly is apparently required. Cannot purchase the stick on plastic cover. One light bulb for fog light, $75. Replaced one actuator for one door lock mechanism, $460. Service manager could not explain why these outrageous prices for simple repairs were required. Hyundai should allow their dealers to make profit on service, but this type of pricing is outrageous and abusive. I said no, and plan on raising hell in every forum I can.

OEM radio not covered under any warranty. I have a 2015 Santa Fe. One hour after I took delivery, a HID headlight started flickering. Astonishingly, Hyundai denied the claim initially as its a ‘wear and tear’ part. An hour old… Eventually, they caved and replaced it. 3 years later, the Infotainment unit started looping on startup. Despite their vaunted 5-year warranty, and the 7-year extended Hyundai branded warranty I bought, its not covered. $4000 OEM, and Hyundai could not have cared-less if they tried. Do not trust hyundai – not the car, not the company, not the warranty. Not even the dealership. Avoid at all costs. And costs be sure!

I drove many cars in my life, I never, never experienced what I am experiencing with a piece of junk like the 2017 Tucson. Hesitation, jerking, loss of power. Miraculously few times I avoided to get into a very big accident also very uncomfortable. Driver seat, complain to Consumer Affairs get nowhere! A bunch of liars! They tell you to go to the dealers and the dealers tells you to call Hyundai... I really hope this company, take their ** back to SK.

I have a 2012 Genesis with 42,000 miles on it and it blew an engine. A piston rod broke in half. Hyundai refuses to cover it under the warranty because they claim it was out of oil. I just had it serviced, but not by Hyundai, and there was oil in it. In fact when the rod broke the engine spilled oil all over the road and the tow truck. Even the dealer confirms that. But no the supreme judge at America Hyundai says no oil, no pay. The warranty isnt worth the paper its written on!!! Never, ever buy a Hyundai! The experience is bitter beyond description.

I own a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. On September 29, 2021, I had my oil changes. I was a thousand miles early but the oil light had come on. I asked the service station to check why my car was lagging when driving. Ive been going to the same place for years to get my car oiled. Not a Hyundai dealership. He told me that my engine is ruined due to the engine burning oil, the tip of the oil dipstick was burnt. I left to go home and my car died. I had it towed to the closest Hyundai Dealership which is the dealership in Palatine, IL.The next day I went to the dealership and dealt with Kyle ** (Im not completely sure that is his last name). Kyle is at the front desk of the service area. Kyle told me its probably going to take a month and a half & I should rent a car and Hyundai will pay $40 a day. I rented a car from September 30- November 1. On Monday, October 7, 2021 Kyle texted me and said they are looking for Update/recall 953 ECM, & said the recall was not done so my car does not qualify for the warranty. He took less than 30 seconds to tell me my car was trash & he’s just telling me what he’s been told & that I should contact Consumer Affairs!!! It wasn’t a big deal to him!! I take very good care of my car, I have all receipts for the service I have had done on my car from the places Ive had my car worked on. Needless to say I was so upset and not happy with that answer, my car has 68,000 miles on it.I have the phone number of the salesmen I bought the car from in 2014, at McGrath City Hyundai in Chicago, IL. His name is Frank, I called him and he agreed to help me since I received really poor customer service at the Palatine dealership. Kyle was less than professional or helpful. On one of the visits I made to the Palatine dealership he was so disrespectful, as he was walking away and his back was to me he said get your car out of here or Ill charge you for storage. I did let him know I was now going to be working with Frank who was going to work on my behalf through the Gurnee Dealership.Kyle was not going to let me get things out of my car until I paid $165 in diagnostic fees. I was told I didnt owe any money. Kyle did call me back and told me I dont owe anything. I can get belongings out of my car. On October 13th Frank told me he was going to have my car towed the next day, October 15th Frank said I have to call Palatine and pay a $100 fee Palatine would not release the car to Frank at his Gurnee, IL. location. I went and signed a release and was told no charge. On October 19th Frank said they were busy at his dealership and couldnt get my car. On October 20th I texted Frank & He said hed call me in 20 minutes, I never received the call. On October 22nd I sent Frank a text telling him I didnt want to bother him but I need some answers. He replied in the text that he was on the phone with Hyundai, he would text me in 5 minutes. He was almost done, never texted me. On Monday, October 23rd I texted Frank to see what was happening. He replied in a text shortly and never called or texted. On Wednesday, October 27th I sent Frank a text asking him or telling him if he cant help me please just be honest, I am desperate for answers. He emailed me back saying they just emailed him 2 hours ago that they have a conference call at 9 the next day. He said hed have a definite answer by noon, he never called me back.Frank told me about updates being done. When they are received has to be done in a certain time frame. Even if Im not aware of the updates, I didnt get notices on all the updates. Frank then gave me a phone number to get reimbursed for the rental Customer Service Specialist 714-887-2553 I have left several messages and I am not getting a return call. He had e email him the receipts. Here it is November 8th, Im no better off than I was September 29th! Frank is now at The Gurnee dealership. I called the Gurnee dealership to find out Franks last name and the person on the phone said he was new and didnt know his last name. I do have cell phone numbers for both gentlemen. I started working with Frank on October 7th. I really thought Frank was going to help me with my car and I appreciated him saying he was going to help me but he really just wasted time and I do wish he wouldve been honest with me and told me he cant help me. I had sent Frank my drivers license, bill of sales & known updates done at a Highland Park, IL. dealership. I have copies of text messages.Consumer Affairs did call me once, I missed the call they said they would call back and they have not. I am amazed how uncaring and unprofessional this company is. I have left several messages with no response. I am so tired of Hyundai taking advantage of me. I will NEVER buy or recommend to anyone buy a Hyundai. I have never experience a situation as bad as this in my life. Hyundai is not a stand up corporation in my eyes. They are failures. TOTALLY TAKING ADVANTAGE!

I was the owner of a 2012 Tucson purchased in August of 2011 from Hyundai of Paramus. As part of my sale package, I requested a trailer hitch be put on the vehicle. The dealership had me bring the car in to the service department in early September to have the hitch put on. When I went to pick up my vehicle, I asked for the paperwork from the service. The worker there told me that since it was not being paid for by me but was part of my sales deal, that I didnt need anything. I said Supposed I have problems with it? They said just bring it back to the dealership, that the info is in the computer. I didnt know any better so I left. I went to sales to confirm what the worker in service told me and the salesman said No problem, dont worry if you have any situations, we will handle it.A couple of months later, I wanted to go fishing and was going to pull the boat. Well the hitch mating was too small. My friend laughed at me and said That hitch cant pull anything. It was kind of small. I went back to the dealership, told the salesman that sold me the vehicle that I needed them to change the hitch and put a 2x2 hitch like I originally requested and he told me he would get back in touch with me. Months past no contact. We forgot about trying to tow anything anywhere. It was just a cute additional thing on the back of my vehicle. (They never switched the hitch for me. I was told I waited too long, that the place that installed it would think it was used. I was never able to use it!)Anyhow, on February 9th, we had a snowstorm. I drove my vehicle home and parked it. In the middle of the night the break lights came on and would not turn off. I was going to take it to the dealership first thing in the morning but when I awoke, my car was in flames. Luckily no ones property except mine was damaged, anyhow. I had to report it the fire to my insurance. Instead of the fire being handled by warranty through the dealership, the insurance co. started a claim (the dealership refused to look at the vehicle). My vehicle should have been replaced - covered by warranty, but unfortunately was totaled out by the insurance co.Most of what I owed on the car was covered through the claim and I was left with a $5,000.00 bill. I requested Hyundai to absorb the debt because it was no fault of mine the vehicle caught fire. They would not. I asked Hyundai Motor Finance to absorb the balance due because of the fire and to consider my perfect credit with them. They referred me to Hyundai Consumer Affairs which did absolutely nothing. They said if it had been covered under warranty it would have just replaced my car, but since I had an insurance claim already started, there was nothing they could do...I wound up having to buy another Hyundai because I had a balance. I was hoping to combine the balance from the previous car into the new one. That happened but not with Hyundai Motor Finance. They wanted too much per month and a higher interest rate. So I got the finance with another lender for the new vehicle (2 years older than the one I had with nicks in the paint, took 3 months to get the touchup paint pen from the dealership they promised me with the purchase). The dealership was eager to serve me to get me into another vehicle. They were all polite and calling me and everything, as soon as I signed the papers on the new vehicle. All that stopped. I was never told by the dealership that the warranty money I paid which was included in the cost of purchase price of the vehicle I lost to fire was supposed to be reimbursed to me; I found that out while complaining about the financing company and the consumer affairs dept. of Hyundai from someone in recoveries. They let me know that since my account was now paid off in full, that I was due to receive the warranty money back from the 2012 vehicle.I got in touch with the dealership. They said I needed a payoff confirmation letter from the finance agency. I brought them one in the first week of April 2013 showing that my account was paid off in full on March 3. They put the paperwork in to get my reimbursement of warranty funds. They calculated what my expected reimbursement was supposed to be and gave me a copy of the paper which was filled out by the finance manager at the dealership. It plainly stated to reimburse the customer directly (account was pd. in full), attached the payoff letter. I waited - its now May, I call the dealership, no one returns my calls. I continue to try and call them and then have to go in person because no one would return my call.I was told when I went in person, they had to do my paperwork over again and re-submit it to the warranty company. They had requested information to know if I still had the burned up vehicle or if I had purchased a new car from Hyundai. Neither should have been relevant to my claim for reimbursement since the car was paid off in full! My papers went to the warranty company a second time. I waited until June and called the dealership many times. Finally, I called the consumer affairs division of Hyundai again to be given the number to the warranty company. I called them, they said, Oh, your funds were approved and the check was sent to the dealership.I was angrier then. I asked why it was sent to the dealership and not mailed to me. They said thats how they do it. Well I went to the dealership in person again because after numerous calls, they never returned my messages. I was told on July 2nd that they would have their finance department give them the check and I could pick it up on Friday the 5th. I told them I needed my money, I have been waiting for months and was told I would be called when the check came in and the owner signed off on it. I was never called.July 5th, I got very angry with the receptionist at the dealership because she would not get a live representative on the phone for me and kept transferring me to voice mails or to service, when I asked for specific people that sit directly in back of her station. She finally got me someone. That employee told me that the check was paid to the bank (the financing bank/Hyundai Motor Finance) on June 3rd, stated the total amount and everything! Now there is smoke coming from my ears. On top of them lying to my insurance company about the trailer hitch which caused the fire on my 2012 Tucson, they now have taken over a grand out of my pockets and I am still trying to recover from my losses.I call the finance company and speak to the representative who admits yes, I was correct, my account was paid in full on March 3, 2013 and does not know why I have not been sent my reimbursement of funds yet. She needs to speak with her boss. They put me on hold. She told me that they were going to have the check released to me on Monday, which would have been the 7th of July. I asked them why they kept it, knowing that I didnt owe them any money. They claim it had to clear 10 days (thats unheard of with chk.21).Anyhow, she was supposed to call me back on the 7th. She never called. On the 11th July, I called HMF Hyundai Motor Finance to see what was going on with my check. I was told by another employee that the check was sent out on the 9th. I figured I would have received it by now. Nope, still no check. I called yesterday and was told that they authorized the release of the check on the 9th of July but cant tell if it went out yet. Hum.. its July 18th, they have 1081.25 of my money, I was never late, never missed a payment and yet they got my money in error and for some reason dont want me to have it back... I am appalled. I left a message on their directors voice mail and he has not had the dignity to return my call either. I want them all exposed. Enough is enough. Oh by the way, my Certified Pre-Owned 2010 Tucson just broke down on me. The radiator cracked and I was stranded, roadside assistance (the only good thing I see about Hyundai came and towed the vehicle) and the dealership still has my truck for the 2nd full day now. I was not even given a courtesy loaner car and work far away from home. They seem not to be that concerned about that either. They are telling me you should be happy the parts are covered by the warranty. Well, it just ought to be.I have been given such a runaround, lies on top of lies, incomplete customer service and lack of real concern about any of the issues I have been experiencing with the dealership and the financing co. and service. Do not expect any more courtesy than what you receive before you sign the line.

I have a 2011 Hyundai Accent which I bought April 1st 2011. Since I bought it, I have had issues with the rubber around the outside of the windshield, which started coming off 2 months after I bought it. I have had to get it fixed twice. The first time they glued it back, it came off again. The second time, they replaced the whole piece. Now December 2011, it is coming off again! Im going on my third time. Then in August, I found out that it came misaligned from the factory and the dealers solution was to put a shim so they could go in and align it properly, that took 2 months to fix and now my tires are warped because of it! By the way, Im still waiting for new tires and it is now December! I spoke to the dealership in order to look at my options, because I no longer want this car. I dont want to deal with the hassle of repeated maintenance (its a brand new car!) and the solution to my lemon is to trade it in so they can squeeze more money out of me for a car that Ive had for 8 months! This was my first brand new car ever. How disappointing. My old 98 Ford Escort gave me less trouble than this. 5 times to get your brand new car fixed in the span of 8 months! What a mistake. Never again!

I purchased a 2006 Hyundai Sonata in December 2010. A month later, the airbag light on the dash came on. I took it back and they re-set something. I drove off and about a mile down the road, the light came back on. I took it back and was told the problem was the PSGR seat cushion, and would cost $900.00 to fix. The warranty I bought did not cover this and the dealership would not fix it. I was not about to spend more money on this car, so I have just been driving with the light on. I bought a brand new 2006 Hyundai Sonata. Regular oil changes were done. I had to take the car to the dealer early on because the ESC light kept coming on. They had to replace it due to a recall. Late last year, I had to take the car to the dealer again because the lights all kept dying at the same time. I read somewhere that it was a bad switch somewhere.About 3 months ago, I took my car back to the dealership because it was lurching at around 45 mph. They looked at the transmission and told me everything was fine, it checked out. Then about a month ago, I took it back to the dealer because the lights all burned out at the same time again. They checked it and said it was just the light bulbs. So they replaced all the lights in the rear for 45 dollars, gave me a printout of my visit and said they checked the fluids, etc. and everything looked good.Last Saturday, I was heading out to get the oil changed. The check engine light came on and there was a slight knocking noise. After the oil change, I took it directly to the dealership. I got a call from Adam on Wednesday telling me that they were going to have to take the motor apart to check it out. He said he needed my permission to do so but also asked if I had all my maintenance records. He said that if they get in to the engine and see that theres gunk in the motor, thats a sign of poor maintenance and it wouldnt be covered by the warranty.I told him I had the majority of my records. He said the tear down of the engine would cost $360 and I would be responsible for that fee if they find that this problem wasnt covered by the warranty. I gave him the approval to tear down the engine, sure that they would find the problem to be from something covered under warranty. He just called me this morning and left a voicemail that the problem is maintenance related. I should call Valvoline or my insurance company because the problem is not covered under warranty and a new engine is going to cost me $4,500. He said the engine was starved for oil.I think they are trying whatever they can to get out of honoring the 10-year/100,000 mile warranty.

Since then, in LIGHT suburban and highway driving, I have averaged 19.2 mpg on a 4 cylinder car. After buying a 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport in October of 2016, we noticed, at the first washing of the car that the clear coat was marred in several areas. We immediately reported it to the dealer. We took it in, he agreed that it was a defect, and sent us to several different body shops to see if anything could be done. We had it detailed (at our expense) and buffed but the marred finish was still visible. The dealer then advised us to call the manufacturing which we did. After months and months of runarounds from Hyundai Corporation, we are no closer to getting our car fixed. Their case managers dont return our calls when they say they are going to and every time we call them, we have to repeat our story countless times. Today we were informed there was NOTHING they could do. Sorry! We feel like their customer service is very poor and that stall you, hoping you will give up hope and go away. I will never buy a Hyundai again after this experience.

I bought a used Hyundai Sonata 2011 in Oct. 2011. The previous owner had around 25,000 miles on it. I have changed the oil and also the brakes on the car since I have purchased it. It was running well with no problems (no indicator lights or warning lights ever came on), and of course there was no noise, just running as usual. I have put around 16,500 miles on it and no problem. On Dec. 22, 2012, it just wouldnt turn on, so I thought it was my battery. We asked for a boost but it still didnt work. I called Hyundai and stated they would get it towed in. That was on Dec. 24th. The tow company decided to give it a boost first to see if he could get it started but he also said the battery was too drained. I waited for a call from the mechanic and on Dec.26th, I was told he needed my authorization to change out the battery that it was no good. I asked if it was covered under my warranty with Hyundai or even the extended warranty I got. He stated no. So, I said replace it. The following day, I called for my car to get picked up and he states he needed to talk to me and said my car still didnt start and I would need a new engine due to no oil in the engine. He told me that the car looked like it had never been maintained, not once ever. I told him I did, but I didnt have the receipts to prove the oil changes. So he told the Hyundai Company that he denied the coverage due to neglect on the car. And I told him I also have an extended warranty which I told him to call. He didnt. I had too.I called a day later since he never called back to let me know anything. He stated my extended warranty wouldnt cover it either and I asked why. He stated it was because he denied the warranty due to neglect of the car. It’s funny when no lights or noises occurred without any indication that there could be something wrong, and all the extra coverage I got to avoid any problems. He states the problem could as well have been there from the previous owner and my bad luck I got stuck with it.

We were driving down the road and the wheel broke. All studs were still fastened to the car and the wheel sped by in the ditch. Two OPP officers said they had never seen anything like it. I went to Orangeville Hyundai to show only. They were very ignorant and told me that it wasnt their fault and would not talk to me. So I told them they were pretty ignorant and I was going to get in touch with you. They said, Good; just do that. If you guys are all that way, I will not be buying a Hyundai again. We could have been killed. My car has damage from the wheel coming off but all I was trying to do was maybe save somebody from a wild ride like I had.

I purchased a 2015 Hyundai Elantra on November 26th, 2014. The car was brand new when I purchased it. On December 23rd I noticed that my break lights would not turn off after having parked and removed the key. I was unable to get the light to turn off, but I had a trip scheduled to visit family during the holidays. I was forced to leave the car at my house in its present state. When I reached my destination on December 24th I called Hyundai (Lithia Springs) to tell them about the issues and to ask them how they wanted to handle this issue. The service representative told me to bring the car in on January 3rd. When I returned to Georgia I brought the car to Hyundai. While driving the vehicle I could smell a strong odor reminiscent of spoiled milk. When I arrived at the dealership they examined the car and initially told me that the issue was with the break clutch not depressing properly. After the technician replaced this part he returned to tell me that he was unable to correct the issue and that he suspected it to be an electrical issue. He requested that I leave the car with him so that it could be worked on and placed me in a loaner vehicle.I received a call today (January 6th, 2015) and was told that the issue had been isolated and that the car was not sealed properly and water had caused the electrical issues I was having. Mr. ** told me that the car would need to have the windshield removed, carpet removed, dried, and resealed. I expressed my concern with this and let him know that I wanted the car replaced immediately, to which he did not reply. I called back to speak with the manager Mr. **. He told me that Hyundai manufacturing would most likely not replace my brand new vehicle and that all he could do was try to fix the issues. I am truly unhappy and want my money back or a brand new car. I havent even driven this car 1,000 miles and not only am I without a car, but I am still being forced to pay for a car that was garbage when I bought it. Hyundai needs to give me my money back or replace my vehicle!

My daughters 2012 Tuscon (ix35) has just been diagnosed as needing a new motor despite having been Hyundai serviced at every specified interval. Car has traveled only 101,000 kms or 60,000 miles. Reading all other reviews it seems Hyundai have the same game plan outside of Australia too. They refer you to customer care, a young person who claims no car knowledge and simply contacts the dealer to contact the customer and of course they dont and so the cycle continues until you get sick of their game. North Korea has the little rocket man, but South Korea has a secret weapon called Hyundai. No thanks to customer care in Sydney and no thanks to Blood Hyundai in Geelong,Victoria.Dealer promised my heartbroken daughter an email on how much it would cost to replace engine. We have heard nothing. It took me 1 call to a Hyundai wrecker- $4900 to supply & fit used motor and internet research found another owner same car same problem quoted $8 to 14k. 2 lessons learnt here, first dont get car serviced at dealerships and no more foreign made cars. I own 2 Ford Falcons, an 07 ute with over 300k drives like new and a US 63 Falcon with original engine and tranny 56 years old and still in use. Hyundai do not touch them. Its just a matter of time.

In February 2016, we purchased a used 2013 Sonata Hyundai Hybrid with 47,000 miles. We also purchased the extended warranty. The car has a new car warranty in place, already of up to 120,000 miles. Total warranty period should be approximately 10 years. In March 2017, at 71,000 miles, the electrical (high voltage battery) shut down, the car just down and would not move in the middle of traffic. This happened 3 times before Hyundai was able to repair it so the car was running. This repair was completed March 30, 2017, along with a complete fluid change and tune up. Hyundai covered the battery under warranty and charged us for the fluids and tune-up.On October 2, 2017, the car completely seized up and engine began knocking. We had it towed into the Hyundai dealer. The car now had 81,000 miles total. We have contributed to only 35,000 miles. We have an extended warranty, but technically, since we are still under 120,000 miles, the car should be covered under factory warranty.Hyundai refuses to repair the vehicle, both their extended warranty department and the Hyundai corporate office claims that we are to blame for lack of upkeep. If this was not outrageous enough, Hyundai recently signed a settlement agreement regarding their 2011-2014 Hyundai Sonatas in which the customers stated in part: Plaintiffs further alleged that dealers frequently didnt replace the engine, citing the drivers alleged failure to regularly change the oil or failing to keep service records. Same thing is happening here, even though the settlement was reached and signed by all parties. There is no integrity in these large corporations anymore. We are without a vehicle in only one year (we put $10,000 and still owe).

I took my car into the Hyundai dealership on 9/23/17 for service only because we received 2 recall notices, one for the engine and one for the steering coupler. There were no other issues. I was advised after technician checked the car there was a small split at top of left tire and car indeed failed their engine test and it would be replaced under the recall. On 10/19/17, received a call the car was ready for pick up. Upon checking out I was advised the technician noticed a noise coming from the steering rack. Mind you, before we dropped the car off, there were no issues or noises. Ok... was advised this is not covered under my warranty and would be around 1000.00 out my pocket to repair. After leaving the dealership noticed a metal scraping sound coming from middle of car. Went back to service dept that Saturday morning (10/21/17) around 9:15 am to advise and was asked when I wanted to bring the car back because technician that worked on my car was off and he had to be the one to work on it. Took car back that following Monday, 10/23/17, explained issue again and proceeded to walk in the waiting room. I forgot to ask the advisor a question so I went back to the service desk and overheard the technician that worked on my car talking to other advisors stating, I dont know what it could be. Maybe its the rotors. I know he was the technician that worked on my car because I asked him, Are you talking about my car... and no its not the rotors because we got them replaced along with the brakes about 2 weeks ago and there were no issues or noises afterwards. Ok, so technician takes car for a test drive and claims he didnt hear any noises!!!I drove the car this time with the service manager and guess what... he heard the noise. I was told by him they would handle the issue. After another check of the car, I was told this time, it was the Front end valve muffler making the metal scraping noise. The service manager submitted a goodwill courtesy request to have the repair done at 100%, then 50%... both denied due to warranty expired. Manager offered to repair at MY expense at the warranty rate of $506.56 for the part, $50.00 labor and $10.57 for gasket part. I feel like this was a technician error when reinstalling the engine due to the recall. My car was not having any issues or noises prior to dropping it off on 9/23/17, and again we only took it in due to the recalls. This is so unfair and poor customer service. I was warned by others not to go to this particular Hyundai dealership in Durham. I should have drove the extra miles to the one in Cary.

I bought Hyundai Starex end of the year 2008. On 06.07.2011, while driving engine, oil was leaking badly and stopped the vehicle and towed to Hyundai Service Center at No-1, Jalan Johor Jaya, Taman Perindustrian Plentong, Johore Bahru, 81750 (Mileage 145447). Because of warranty, they replaced new engine. Old engine no. ** New engine no. **. On 26.09.2011, I send the vehicle and complain: 1. Oil leaking at power steering area / Intercooler hose area.2. Noise at engine area on acceleration. (Turbo area). After checking, they said nothing and all in good condition. Some foreman refused after checking the engine, its not a new engine. Its a used engine, but Hyundai Service Center said its a new engine. If new engine, why this much problem?.On 11.04.2012 in the morning, when starting the engine, I saw white smoke. I drove the vehicle to Hyundai Service Center at same place. Service Center sent me the quotation (estimate repair charges): 1.Turbo charger assy - Rm 315.00 2. EGR valve - Rm180.00 3. Intercooler - Rm180.00 4. Cover assy-rocker and / Gasket - Rm 45.00 5. Repair oil leaking at timing area - Rm 45.00 6. TQ gasket rocker cover 224414a400 - Rm 58.95 7. I took out a 2 year lease on a Hyundai Tucson. It was extended to 3 years because of lockdown. The contract mileage was 10000/pa but I returned the car with less than 20000 on the clock. No consideration was given for the reduced mileage. A lot of my friends leased vehicles with other companies but were given discounts for their reduced mileage. I bought a 2012 Hyundai Elantra from Tuttle Click Dodge in Tustin. There they had a sticker posted with 39 hwy mph. My car gets no more than 24 mph on the freeway going 65 steady in the right lane with Chevron gas. I have taken it to 5 different Hyundai dealers complaining about the issue almost right away. They all shrugged their shoulders and told me they couldnt find a problem. That the digital eco meter is a dummy gauge and doesnt give accurate numbers. Then why do they match my manual calculations? Finally after I showed them the website where I found out about the class action lawsuit did they admit... oh ya your car does have a mileage problem. Oh ya... we already lost the lawsuit. We will waste a ton of your time, and then say sorry you are not original owner and therefore not eligible for gas reimbursement! Today I took my horrible Hyundai to the dealer and they gave it back to me with a huge scratch on the door. Also, my newish Hyundai with only 20,000 miles makes a ton of noises and the check engine light came on.

Over 30 days my 2014 model i30 with 25.000 km EPS unit couldnt be replaced and its still in the service. I basically cant drive a car which I paid to. Thank god that I was driving in an easy road with a low speed so I had chance to park my car within a safe zone. I even wouldnt like to imagine what would happen if this problem would occur on the highway. Hyundai Turkey is behaving premature to handle the case. In this century I am not able to understand why the required part can not be delivered within 30 days while there are people touring around the world with bicycles or on foot less than 30 days. As a result of all, I dont have any other chances but to go to legal court to claim my rights and never ever touch anything called Hyundai.

At 61000 miles, my power steering on my 08 Elantra failed - told by dealer service the sensor had to be replaced but since sensor so embedded within steering column, the only way to fix was to replace whole column. Because car was 1k miles over warranty, Hyundai would not cover - they paid half. Fast forward to today - just 40k miles later, power steering failed again. I cant afford the cost for Hyundai service to fix again. This is also not the only repeat problem Ive had with the car. Wondering if I have a lemon or if there is a different problem causing the sensor to fail. Reported to Hyundai - they wont do anything for me since they helped with the cost last time. Dealer told me they have never heard of anything like this and they say there is nothing they can do without approval from Hyundai corporate. Guess Im stuck with a car I cant drive. We have had the 2014 Elantra a year which we bought directly from Woodland Hills Hyundai dealer. It wasnt cheap, as with the extended warranty of 100,000 miles it came to $24,000. We were never told the car did not come with a spare tire. We spent the evening of fathers day being towed back to the dealer and missing our plans because we got a flat tire. The response I was given as its like this in all the cars now. I know that isnt true, because we also bought a Toyota and Nissan which have spare tires. For a company that prides itself on safety, not having a spare or informing the purchase that there is no spare, is not ok!!! The car drives fine, but this to me reflects very poor customer service.

The airbag light was on in my 2009 Hyundai Tucson. When I took it to the dealership for diagnosis, it was found that a wire in a small assembly behind the passenger seat, that is attached to the seat belt, was broken. The dealer said they could not fix the wire because its a liability since it has to do with the SRS airbag system. There is no replacement part, so the whole assembly where the wire goes under the car, needs to be replaced and it costs thousands of dollars. The dealer contacted Hyundai and advised them that I want Hyundai to pay for this expense because it is not under warranty (60,000) and my car has 67,572 miles only. However, they responded back that Hyundai will not pay. This is a safety issue and I do not have the money to repair what I know is a defective part. I am extremely upset that they would not consider this an exception to the warranty rules, because it was never tampered with, only checked by the mechanic at the dealership and that is the only place I get it serviced. This is not normal wear and tear or a moving part and should last the life of the vehicle. And this is a serious issue.

I argued and a final decision was it was covered by the 5 year/50,000 warranty but OUTSIDE causes is the reason the clutch/flywheel/disc failed. Not Hyundai....I asked what was OUTSIDE cause.......no response from Hyundai. Once you buy the car they determine what their warranty covers and it seems to me that Hyundai always comes up the beneficiary.

I purchased a Fluidic white car from Mody Hyundai (Malad W) in Mumbai, India. It was delivered to me on Sept. 7th, 2011. My car registration no. is **. I drove my car the 1st time on Sept. 10th when the car broke down at 3 in the morning. The gears refused to change. It would not change to any of the gears and the car stopped. I waited for 45 minutes on the road and finally I could drive my car. My car again broke down on Sept. 17th. This was the 2nd time I drove my car. The same problem persisted. The gears were not changing. I called the Hyundai guys and they insulted me when I went to their off in Malad West. They said that maybe I was changing the gears by pressing half clutch. My car broke down the 3rd time on Oct. 8th when I went to hotel Sea Princess. The valet guys said that the car refused to start. They pushed started the car and I got my car home. I finally called the toll free number for Hyundai on 25th. They took my car to their service station (Mody Hyundai) at Goregaon W. Even the Hyundai guys could not start my car. Nobody bothered to call me and update with the status of the car. I kept calling the Hyundai sales people. Finally, they called me on 11th and said that there was a problem with the starter motor, which they will replace. I kept telling them that there was a problem with the gear box but they did not listen. They, I again called on 12th. This time, they confirmed that there was a problem with the gears too and they would replace it. Hyundai got my car on 13th with a scratch on the front. This time, they blamed me saying that the scratch was on the car when I was driving. I refused to take my car and told them that I will accept it only if they remove the scratch. It has been a very embarrassing situation for me when my car broke down thrice in the middle of the night and once at a 5 star hotel. I requested the Hyundai guys to replace the car, as I had not even driven the car for 100 kms. and I faced so many problems. However, they refused saying that since it is under warranty, they will replace the parts and give my car back.Since I stay alone in Mumbai and work at night, it is very risky for me to drive a faulty car which breaks down every now and then. I request you to help me get my car replaced from the Hyundai people as this is bad customer service.

My wife hit a concrete light pole base. The body damage was about 2500 dollars but the air bag light came on and white powder was in the car which meant the airbag went off but did not deploy the bag. The insurance company said, You need an airbag and any parts needed to repair it right even though it did not deploy to help stop my wife from moving forward. The car is a 2004 Sonata GLS with 66,000 miles on it as of July 5, 2014 the day of the accident. Hyundai said it is out of warranty but I said this is a device that will only work during an accident. They basically said too bad. The cost was over $3000.00 to replace the bag, seat belt and all the bells and whistles that make the bag NOT DEPLOY. The car is a total loss because of the air bag cost and why would I want to install a new bag that may or may not deploy. Hyundai recalled other year air bags like 2003 and 2006 but my 2004 is not included yet I have read many complaints of non--deploying. Do not trust air bags as a safety item and it doesnt matter what car. Use the seat belt and pray, lol. My car is a total loss but a friend wants to buy it as it has 66,000 miles on it and I am anal when it comes to doing everything the dealer wants you to do and when to do it. I will not buy another Hyundai but I do wish it would have made the recall list so if you have this problem report it to NTSD (NATIONAL TRANS SAFETY PLACE NOT SURE OF THE ACRONYM). Thats all folks. I lost my car via accident since June 3rd 2015. My insurance company has been conversing with Hyundai since June 9, 2015 to obtain a letter of guarantee. Up to today we had a three-way conference call with Hyundai, my insurance and myself to get on the same page. Translation between the insurance and the customer service has been the most horrible experience ever. It should not take a month and more to fix this issue of a letter. Every time you call either the information was never sent or attached to be sent to the total loss department. For this to be a top selling company now, there need to be a better way to have individuals speak directly with the total loss department to correct discrepancies and miscommunications. I am really annoyed as I need this settled.

I just leased a new Sonata. And after the deal was final and I took possession of the car. 6 days later, I was contacted by Hyundai finance (Kevin) at the dealership. I was told I needed to come back in because they made a mistake with the bank rate and the residual was too low. I was told my payment was going to go down 5 dollars and the residual was going to go up 2700. I was also told once I got to the dealer that I was entitled to a Platinum Bram Auto Protection plan for the length of my lease. When I asked why I was getting this I was told for the inconvenience and its just how the new numbers work out. After signing the NEW contract, I was called yet again 5 days later to come back to the dealer, that there was a mistake made again, and they did not take into consideration the 21M miles that I originally needed and had in the deal. When I went back the finance guy and the GM had me in the finance room and I was told they need to either raise my payment, or take away the miles and the protection plan. I said I already have a signed contract, plates, keys... Etc. for 2 weeks. He told me if I did not sign, I would not get a payment book and it would be like I have a stolen vehicle.I left the dealership in complete despair. I have never been strong armed and treated like this. I told him, he was threatening me and that I have a legal contract. He said, Go see your lawyer, that contract is void. He wants me to sign a different deal than the one I have and give back everything that they have in my contract. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I NEED TO DO TO KEEP THE CONTRACT THAT I WAS GIVEN AS WRITTEN, AND THE CAR.
