Buicks China-Only Electric SUV Might Replace The Aging Encore

There's an entire world of (arguably) American cars most of us don't know about. Earlier this year, Chevrolet revealed the Seeker, a Chinese-only compact SUV that's part of the joint venture between General Motors and SAIC. The all-new Buick Envista SUV coupe followed shortly after, based on the same platform.
The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is also built on the same platform, but the powertrain differs. Locally, the Trax will be powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged triple, while the Chinese models above are motivated by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
According to GM Authority, Buick is now reconsidering its China-only stance for the Envista and might introduce it as the much-needed replacement for the aging Buick Encore. The Encore desperately needs to be replaced, as it's an unwanted leftover from the days when GM still owned Opel and Vauxhall. The PSA Group purchased the German brands from GM in 2017, and the poor Encore has been soldiering on ever since, even though its replacement has been available in China since 2020. It's not sold in the USA, as the second-gen Encore was built for emerging markets.
The same is true of the Seeker and the Envista. These vehicles are also aimed at emerging markets if you look at the pricing structure.
The Buick Encore is now only available in Preferred trim, starting at $27,295, not including the destination fee. In China, the Envista begins at $21,450 and goes up to $25,100. Earlier reports suggested that the Encore would be replaced with the China-only Envision Plus. It seems the plan has changed, as GM has previously stated that there is more than enough room in this particular segment as most of its rivals are pulling out. Like the Ford EcoSport, GM will likely have to spruce the Envista up a bit as Americans aren't particularly fond of vehicles aimed at emerging markets.
"Buick is a global brand with distinct portfolios in the US, Canada, Mexico, and China," Buick spokesperson Mikhael Farah said. "In China, we recently debuted the all-new Buick Envista, a compact SUV tailored for China's young generation and modern families. As with any vehicle, we are always listening to customer feedback and evaluating products for our global markets, but we have nothing to announce at this time."

I went from a Toyota to a Buick because I wanted to buy American. BIG MISTAKE. This Enclave Premium is going into the shop for the 2nd time in 800 miles The Toyota never went in for anything in 60000 miles
The Buick Enclave is a joy to drive and great for long distances in respect to comfort and safety. It is powered well but that fact does give it a thirst for fuel. I would recommend this make and model to follow-up drivers.
My car needed some serious work, and has for several months. There is an issue with the GM model of engine in my Buick that was brought to my attention about a year ago, that resulted a class action suit against GM. It was described to me as a slow deterioration of something within the engine (I am not a mechanic and do not claim to be. However, I am in a technical field). I have been saving up the money to get the (1000 dollars plus) repair done. About 3 months ago, my car started overheating. I was told that it would take about $1000 to $1500 to fix. But they said that they could not tell me exactly without taking the engine apart, which would cost several hundred dollars. They showed me how to put coolant directly into the radiator to avoid damaging the engine, until I could afford to get it fixed. I did it daily. The car kept running until eventually it overheated enough to cause several leaks, so I took it to them to fix. Originally, I was told it would be $1000 to $1500 to fix. They tentatively gave me a ballpark figure. I would not hold them to an estimate when they had not looked at the engine. And that is not what this complaint is about.By the time they called me the first time with an actual quote, it was around $2000 (I did not get it in writing). I asked them how much it would cost to fix the fan while they were in there (fan only worked on high, and was a preexisting issue). They told me it would add a couple hundred. I asked them to do that while they were in the engine. Once they called me back, they had found a bunch of other stuff that was wrong with my engine they had not quoted me for, and that it was now going to cost over 3000 dollars. When I told them to stop working on it, they informed me that they had already done 700 plus dollars worth of work. So, if they stopped, I would still have to pay that and my car would still not work. I could not afford this. But they assured me that the good news is that it passed the block test and the head gasket was fine. It had been tested several times. Since that was okay, my car would work for years after this repair.Having already been out of work for days without my car, I arranged to borrow money from my mother to cover the repairs, so I could get back to work. When I spoke with the mechanic to authorize the repairs, they listed a long list of everything that is needed to be done. It was a very long list. When they were done, I told them, I understand it needs quite a bit of work, but my only concern is the end result. I then asked them, If my car is only worth 4000 dollars, and I put 3020 dollars into it, when it is done, will it no longer overheat, will it be drivable, and will the heater work? The mechanic I spoke to (KJ **) said yes and continued to sell me on the repairs and what a good idea it was to do. I then asked the exact same question, just to be sure (I was planning for the worst) and got the same yes answer. The car was in the shop for a few days. The turn around was quite quick for the huge list of things that needed to be done (according to them). I called to check on it daily. I was never warned about any other problems. They told me on Saturday when I called that it was done, although I never received a call. And it was the end of the day when I tried calling. Im not even sure if they were open on a Saturday. And they told me that I had to come get it immediately. Well, it started out as him being pushy and encouraging me to come get it right then. But he eventually turned in to being flat out. He told me I had to pick it up because they did not have room on the lot for it.Regardless of if it was a rush job, a mistake on their part, or flat out fraud, I was sold an end result I did not get. When my girlfriend went to pick up the car to go to work (her work is approximately 1.5 miles from the auto mechanics shop), she was told that it was all fixed (just as I was on the phone). But she was told to keep an eye on it just in case and if it overheats to bring it back. She did not make it to work before it started overheating, not a mile and a half. Our house is only about a half mile away from her work (basically in between the two). So luckily, she was able to make it home after work. She told me it had gotten over half way to the red overheating in that short of a distance. So, the first thing I did the next day was to take it for a test drive (starting out fresh while it was still cold). It overheated off the charts within 10 blocks, red-line overheating. I immediately called the mechanic while letting the car cool down. It was the same guy who had sold me on the repairs (KJ **) and also the same guy that rushed it out the door. When I told him it was overheating, he sounded like he was trying to sound surprised. He was not sincere at all, very forced. He said, Oh really, thats weird. Then, he told me to let it cool down, take it back, and they would take care of it, and that they must have missed something. He said, You know, sometime things get overlooked. Being in a technical trade, I told him I understood (which I did, things happen). I asked him specifically: I have no money left. I just gave you guys 3000 dollars. I do not have. This will not cost me anything correct? He said yes. Once again, I repeated myself and made him repeat the same affirmative answer. I always cover my bases when there is a large amount of money on the line. The car was with them for several days, and I did not hear a word. They did not call me once. I kept calling. All KJ ** would tell me was that they were running a block test to see if it passed. He told me it passed one day, then it failed the next, and back and forth on 4 separate occasions. He said: It failed hot, so were going to let it cool down over night and test it again in the morning. It failed cold so were letting it run. Its been running for hours so it must be fixed (which is obviously a flat out lie, since it could not make it 10 blocks). It passed hot, and so on, going back and forth. He gave me no real answers and becoming less and less honest. This is the test they guaranteed me my car had passed initially before all of these repairs. And this was the whole reason it would be worth it to put $3020 into my 2000 Buick that is only worth $4000 or so.After four or five days total, KJ ** put me on hold for the first time. Then, someone named Nick (who refused to give me his last name when I called) got on the phone. He started listing off the things that needed to be repaired. I said, Thats great, but this is obviously not going to cost me anything extra right? He told me that since it failed the block test, it needed x done (head gasket I believe, along with some other things). And he told me that since that was not what they did initially, it would not be under warranty. Then, he started listing off things that were $400 to $500 a piece, which is where I cut him off. My response was (expletive deleted): Are you ** kidding me? You sell me on a 3000 dollar repair, guarantee me that the thing that is now broken is not broken and that’s the good news. You guarantee me an end result of a working car. But as soon as it drives off the lot, it cannot drive a mile. In addition to that, it broke in your possession due to being rushed or bad repair work, misdiagnosed, or whatever. Now you want more money?!I was obviously quite upset. He kept telling me the same not our problem type responses (that is not an actual quote, however everything else in this report is almost word for word). I told him I was going to call my lawyer. And I told them that I expect them to provide the service they charged me 3000 dollars for, and that was a working car. I told him I would call him back the next day. I immediately looked up everything I would need should they not honor the service they charged me for: this website (the BBB), the State Attorney General, King 5 news Scam Watch series, etc. I also found around 50 reviews online from other unhappy customers that claimed they had done the same thing to them (overcharged etc). Most of them were oil changes that ended up being hundreds. But a few of them were 2000 to 3000 dollar charges that were in the same or similar situations I was, except most of them at least had a working car to show for it!When I called the next day, the uncooperative Nick picked up the phone. I told him he had a day to think about the situation, and asked him if he had decided to do right by his customer. He continued the same not our problem responses. At that point is when I informed him I had legal counsel and that I would be filing with the BBB, State Attorney General, the credit card company, and have them featured on the news. I also told him that I would be taking him to court if they refused to provide the service that they had charged me for. He said, Lets go to court. One thing I find interesting is that when I was referring to my and KJ **s earlier conversation, he said yea that was me when I was quoting KJ **. He told me that I had talked to him. I never talked to him until they decided to try to get more money out of me. I pay very close attention to that type of thing in these situations. There are only 3 different employees I have ever spoken with there (Nick, Ken and KJ). KJ ** was new to me with this repair job. They dont even sound the same on the phone. KJ ** has a pretty noticeable accent, so this immediately jumped out at me as a complete lie. He was obviously trying to add credibility to his argument. Because if it was him I had been talking to, then he could argue about what had been said, and attempt to twist the end result. So, I am now filing this with you along with every other place I mentioned above. Thank you for your help. I just wanted my car fixed for the $3020 (less would have been better, but I was willing to pay it to have my car back and working). And I gave them countless opportunities to finish the job for the agreed upon price, all of which they refused. So now I am asking for my money back. I have been unable to work 2 weeks now due to being lied to, defrauded, sold a scam, and ripped off. I am an on-site computer technician and have to be able to get to a job site within 30 minutes, which is almost impossible in Seattle on public transit. Thank you for your assistance.
I have a 2010 Buick Enclave. It recently started having steering issues at low speeds. I took it to my local repair shop and recommended a rack assembly replacement. It did not fix the issue. I did some research and found that Buick has been problems with this issue. I took my car back to the repair shop and they looked and found that there was a special coverage adjustment for this. It extended the coverage for 10 years or 150,000 miles. They say they will pay for the expenses if they have already been done. I was told I was mailed a recall in 2014, which I did not. This was about the time I purchased the car used. The representative had my mailing address as MA not MS. Then said it was MS.Bottomline, they refuse to pay for it, saying my deadline was 2015 and I should have taken it to a dealer. I had no knowledge there was a recall (even though it had been in dealer earlier in year) and did not have issues until late 7/2016. If I did, why would I take it to a local repair shop. Guess the 10 year extension really does not mean the paper it is printed on. The local dealer would not even attempt to help with getting a refund, even though on page 14 it says they should help. Not please with the Buick family with my first Buick. Likely to be last due to this.
They mostly have big cars. I like big cars but a few smaller vehicles would be really good to choose from. Other than that I like the car. I really do like the overall big professional look. It looks nice and I feel it runs well too, includes a ton of features as well. High passenger capacity and good storage for groceries, and I think its really good for traveling far and Im really satisfied. Its awesome that I can hold so much.
I purchased a Buick LaCrosse Flex Fuel vehicle and have been having issues with my fuel system since using E85 gas. I was told that I could use regular gas or E85 because its Flex Fuel. I had my fuel pump replaced, had to have my fuel drained, lines cleaned and because of the E85 gas I used Im still having issues. The dealership advised me not to use E85 again. GM has a bulletin out since Jan. 30, 2017 saying E85 is damaging these vehicles but REFUSED to help me when I filed a complaint. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM GM. They will not back up their product ESPECIALLY since this is a mistake on their part! I will be contacting legal help concerning this matter.
I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne, purchased new and maintained regularly at GM dealership as per the maintenance manual. Last week of December 2012, a grinding noise was heard. My wife took it in to Highland Dealership in Aurora, ON and she was told after a thorough check up that there was nothing to worry about and she could drive it safely. Four days later, I took the car back to the dealership complaining about the same noise. Later on that day, they called me to let me know that the transmission broke down while they were test driving it.Again, the car was maintained regularly as per the maintenance manual at the GM dealership and they had flushed the transmission at 65K. The transmission broke down at 124K. I have never pulled or towed anything with the car. I was surprised, called in to GM Canada customer service to complain and was told by a manager that regular car maintenance at the dealership means nothing and will not elongate the life of the car. What had happened was an expected mechanical failure and is due to bad luck! Sorry, you are on your own and the dealership that repaired my car gave me an excellent deal and I should be happy. I just could not believe my ears and after all the expensive maintenance as recommended by GM at a GM dealership, it does not elongate the life of a car and GM Buick transmission is made to last only 120K?!
Buick has several classic models that while varied, boast similar wonderful features. Plenty of leg and headroom, which is fantastic and not typical for a man of my height. I love the large, luxurious look of certain Buick models. Its a car that looks great and you know is high quality. Equally as important as the exterior look is the inside. Buick does both perfectly. Seats five people very comfortably. A wide back seat for 3 with plenty of legroom. I can put my seat all the way back and the person behind me still has room to spare. This is one of the main reasons that I love Buick. Buick puts most of what I need in the car already, but a USB port in the dashboard would have been appreciated.
Have had lots of trouble with the Lacrosse. It only has 55,000 miles and Im the second owner. Already replaced a catalytic converter (thankfully under emissions warranty) and also another module. Car now sounds loud when accelerating. Also seems sluggish at times. The check engine light does not come on now though. Very disappointed with this vehicle. It looks very nice but all that doesnt matter if it acts up a lot. Never had a vehicle give me so much trouble at such low mileage. How can you make car payment and pay for repairs?
Everyone of my family that has owned one in the past says theyre a very well-put together automobile, and highly recommended them. I would suggest checking Buick out, they are a very good automobile. They are very dependable, and all the ones my family has ever owned lasted for a long time. When they do need to get checked out, for any type of problem, theyre usually not in the shop very long, as whatevers wrong is easily fixed. And theyre a relatively low priced car.
We got a used car from Billion in Bozeman, MT and we asked them to fix the door locks. They said all they had to do was put a fuse in. But when we could not get them to work from two month, we had someone check it out. It was found that the fuse was not working. When they pulled out the fuse, it was a 20-amp fuse and not a 15-amp fuse. We tired a new fuse, and it blew it out as soon as we hit the button. Then we took the car to Beaverhead Motors in Dillon, MT and they check it out more and found the wiring was all melted together. When we asked Billion auto group they help with it, they said no and that they would not help. We had a lot of Buicks in the past and have liked them, but with the way Billion was with us, we will not have anymore Buicks or GMC cars or trucks.
The Buick Enclave for my family of six has given me nothing but problems. My check engine light would stay on majority of the time. It use to sound like something up under the vehicle was loose because it would rattle really badly. Whenever you started the truck up, it would make a loud roaring sound and grinding when making a left hand turn. My heat/air went out. All of the warning signals began lighting up. My front driver tire would always go low; but I was told by the dealership that the passenger back tire sensor needed to be replaced. The list goes on and on, but now it has been inoperable and parked in front of my garage since May 4, 2017. I had just got the vehicle used from a car lot; that had just purchased it from the dealership next door to them that morning. The downside was that it was purchased AS IS and with no extended warranty. The worst part is that it was purchased to replace a car that I had just lost, due to a total loss of being in an accident where I was not the at fault driver. I went months without a vehicle after being forced to turn in the rental. Now, my family has to endure being without a running vehicle now for almost a year. It is extremely unethical on GMs part because they were already aware of many of their plethora of models/years before they even started. Now, my family has been going in debt to pay for a vehicle that we cannot drive. I have been forced to turn down temp jobs because the strain of lack of multiple public transit routes not coinciding with job schedules. Most people in social media groups have been bragging about at last getting rid of their money pit vehicles. I wish that was even an option for me. However, if I was even able to afford to get it fixed, I would still be taking a major loss with the $4000 that I put down plus the loan payments that we are currently still making in addition to when I was still making full coverage insurance payments. That could have been going towards the loan payments, repairs, or even another vehicle.
We bought a 2011 Enclave new in early 2011. The car has about 20,000 miles on it. About nine months ago, the rear liftgate broke (hydraulics), and came crashing down on me. Thankfully not a worse injury than sore a few days. Last month, I turn the ignition over and the car wont start. I had to have it towed to the dealership to have a software update (really??). Yesterday, car made funny noise under hood. Dealership took it in all day to return it at end and tell me car needs 3 days work but need to come back. I want my money back. Wish I stuck with Toyota.
Cars been a brilliant car. Was great on gas mileage. Smooth ride and is the older model Buick Century. Have had a lot of Buicks in the day and theyve all held up great. And theyve all been great cars. They are built safe back then and that is what else I like. Its been a real durable car. Deer have ran in it a few times and been fixed and still keeps going. Lots of room to haul passengers and room to haul groceries too.
I love the Encore and the convertible Cascada which is an awesome car but Im sure its insurance will be really high. It has great handling thats both quiet and smooth. I love the color which is a beautiful chocolate brown and they have very sleek designs and styles, leather seating and are now more stylish instead of the older style bodies. I choose leather interior with heated seats, rear view camera, Sirius XM radio and as always, I absolutely had to have my OnStar. No exceptions!! The seats are extremely comfortable. Being that the ride is quiet, my passengers never have a complaint. Roomy, spacious and plenty of seating for me and the kids.
Regal, Somerset, and mostly all their brands are reliable, and the pricing is very acceptable. This car is up to date with a lot of features, it also come in select colors. Its safe and stylish. The inside comes in factory or custom interior. I love the fact that you can use it for any occasion. The passenger capacity of this car is wonder, you can fit the whole family, take road trips, do grocery shopping or whatever your needs. This is great with space. The upgrades and personalization of this car is what make this car a great deal for your money. I love the different ways you can make your car the way you want it as well as the color and design. I would recommend this car because it last for years and like anything else if youre good to it, it will be good to you.
Buick Century has been an extremely reliable vehicle, and the only car we have owned in the last sixteen years. We have driven it mostly in town, but have also taken it on several road trips. We like the style, shape, and exterior design of this vehicle, as well as the comfortable, easy, smooth ride. It has a roomy interior, as well as a very large trunk space. It also gets super gas mileage. While its our favorite car to date, we are not too thrilled about the quality of the car radio as it has aged - the speakers have become quite fuzzy and the volume will not hold steady. Also, a compact disk drive would be nice.
The vehicle was approaching 95,000 km and I wanted to replace the spark plugs. I usually do this myself. I determined that the motor required rotation to access the rear plugs. I disconnect the motor mounts and crank over the motor with a crowbar. I spent $350.00 dollars for 6 spark plugs qualified my next vehicle to be rear wheel drive with the motor placed in the position that Jesus Christ intended motors to be. Probably a Chrysler 300 and GM can kiss my ***. They lost a lifelong customer.
I have a 2007 Buick Lucerne, 69,000 miles. Back door could not be opened, passenger trapped inside. Contacted GM, as I felt this was a safety concern. I was told to go to Buick dealer & was a given number which they provided to my Buick dealer. This has been a problem with many Buicks for years & they will do NOTHING. The repair was $400 for a lock on this one door.
I purchased a Buick Lacross from Jim Burke used cars in August 2010 for $23,000. I was financed by Capital One for 18.6% interest, which was a ripoff because in September 2011, I still owed $23,745 where no reduction in principle at all. When trying to sell the car in 2011, it has a value of only $15,000 as I learned that I purchased a car that was used as a rental car and had 28,000 miles when purchased.I am now stuck with a car with high mileage and I am upside down on the value.
Buick has a lot of different colors, sizes and engine performance. The appearance is important because you have to enjoy what you’re driving. This vehicle has a very attractive look that people compliment all the time as well as features that accommodates my driving experience. Having the ability to upgrade certain features and parts helps me to customize my vehicle so it really gives me a great peace of mind that I made the right choice and I know it fits my personality. You have the ability to test drive different types of vehicles to make sure you find the right fit and feel. Knowing that you can give friends and family a fun ride or go on trips and knowing there is enough room for everyone to fit is a luxury and a great thing that this vehicle has and much more.
Buick commercials joke about the lines new and sleek look but the appearance is no joke. My car is a showstopper and I love seeing it parked outside stores. It offers a wide variety of models, offering a good fit for any family looking for a bigger car or retirees looking for classy elegance. It has plenty of space for my bulky car seats and wider passengers! Good trunk space too. Car seat and groceries fit, a big win in this moms book! Various upgrade and personalization options include sunroof and leather. You name it and you can get it in your new Buick. The extra touches show how Buick goes the extra mile for customers.
I purchased a 2018 Regal TourX in August of 2018. On December 8th while parked the car was hit from behind. My hatch was damaged. That week the dealership requested parts. We received a call from the dealership stating that A new hatch was not available and there was no known date for delivery of the part. They asked if I wanted to have them bump out the dents and do a body and paint repair. I said no, it was a brand new car. I wanted the new part. I didn’t want to deal with corrosion down the road. The first of January the dealership called and suggested we escalate our problem to Buick Customer Service. We did. It took 2 weeks to speak to someone at customer service. She stated she would called me back within 3 business days. She didn’t. After 5 days I started calling her. I could not reach her. I left several messages over the next week and finally heard from a ‘Senior Care representative. She took the details again and said she would call me back in two days. She did not. After 3 I started calling her and leaving messages. I finally spoke with her after a few days and told her that I wanted to talk with someone higher up the chain than her. She said I could not speak with that person directly but she could. She said she would speak to him and then follow up with me within two business days. She did not. I called her and left messages. I finally spoke to her yesterday and she had this follow up information for me: the Manager she spoke with said I had been offered a repair at the dealership that was adequate and I chose not to take it. Because of that and the fact that this is not a warranty issue it’s not a high priority for Buick and they would not release a part from production for the repair. The part is on backorder indefinitely. We’ve owned 7 Buicks in the course of our marriage as well as 5 Pontiacs and a few Chevys. We build vehicles for the emergency rescue vehicle market. I can not imagine delivering a message like that to any customer. Buick, I am so disappointed in you.
I recently purchased a 2012 Buick LaCrosse AWD. I traded in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala LTZ. After driving the Buick for several months now, I wish I had the Impala back. The Buick is a beautiful car with a huge defect. GM has designed and programmed the 6-speed automatic transmission to shift at over 5,000 RPM. At the high RPM, the engine noise is very noticeable. Perhaps the worst effect is that the high RPM sucks gas and the car gets nowhere near the advertised mileage. The Buicks engine has as much, if not more power, than the Impala so the high shift points are completely unnecessary. They will result in higher engine and transmission wear, and they are killing the gas mileage. I am seeing growing complaints from other Buick LaCrosse owners, but when I contacted Buicks Customer Service about the problem, they blew me off saying the car is performing normal. They wouldnt admit the other complaints, and refuse to discuss any remedy. When entering the highway and accelerating to highway speed, the transmission only uses three of the six speeds before reaching the speed limit. I choked when I heard the new Chevrolet Cruze TV commercial say, With the 6-speed transmission, it allows for lower shift points. If this is the way GM is going to treat loyal customers, then its time for me to check out Toyota and Honda. I dont know how Buick avoided the Gas Guzzler Tax with this vehicle. Someone must have lied to EPA.
Ot is an oldie but goodie Buick Century 2001 classic. It has 80000 miles & is still running smoothly. It has a cd player & runs like silk. I own it & dont have to make a car payment but do have to take it to the shop for little repairs, oil change & coolant etc.
I just noticed the dash coming loose from the window in front of the drivers seat. I went online and found there have many complaints of the same problem. There is a concern of the air bags deploying. Besides it is very unsightly. I love my Buick and would buy another one if I needed another vehicle. Apparently Gm is not interested in keeping their customers. Other Buick owners feel the same as myself. Would really like situation rectified.
In November 2016 we decided to own our new car (Buick Encore). Purchasing a new car is not a decision that I made lightly. I entrusted my family life and safety in Buicks hands, only to discover that they did not have my familys best interest in mind. We got older ones before, however this was the one I liked the best. It is a nice car, but with problems. This car has 2000 miles now and is in the shop for 2 weeks already to be fixed. The problem is that the engine overheated on the way home from school. I had my daughter with me which was so scary and unsafe. I got the car in the shop and they said that the cooling oil and the oil are mixing together which should not happen. They said that this will be a easy fix and the car will be good to go again in 2 weeks. 2 weeks have passed and I get a phone call from the shop that said that they need more time because some of the parts did not come yet. He ordered couple of pages of parts and will take more time. I am concerned for my safety and my family safety that this car with a couple of pages of parts being replaced and the engine being taken down... This NEW car will not function as a new car ever again. I wanted a new car for safety and comfort which I lost in the moment that all this happened. My experience with Buick Encore is not even close to comfort and safety and I dont feel safe to even try to take it back home. What I wanted and still want is a new car.
These cars should be took off the market. I paid 17000 for this 2009 Buick Lucerne, low mileage, but had not made 3 payments and this? Relay box burning, could catch vehicle on fire. I will not let my grandchildren ride in my car. Buick needs to take all of these vehicles off the road, and the car company they bought it from needs to offer them another vehicle so no one can be burnt up!
I purchased a 2015 Encore in 2016. I took it in for regular service at the dealer from which I purchased the car. Didnt have any problems with it until this year. We were taking a cross country trip to Albuquerque. On 6/23, we were about an hour out of Albuquerque when there was suddenly a loud noise coming from the engine. I immediately took it off cruise control and the noise stopped. I reengaged cruise control and the noise started again. So I disengaged cruise and every time I tried to accelerate, that noise started again. I took the car to the dealer the next day, and was told that the turbocharger was gone. Then the bad news got worse. They told me there were no spare turbochargers in the country. They put it on national backorder and couldnt tell me when one would be available. After nearly a week, the dealer told me that they had made arrangements for a one-way rental which I would have to turn in when I got back home. They also told me that I could then rent another car until mine got fixed, and then they would ship it to me here in Maryland. They also told me I could submit the rental car bill to GM and MAYBE they would pay it. I decided to buy a new car instead, primarily because I had no idea how long I would be driving a rental car and there was no guarantee that GM would pay the bill. Now my brand new 2019 Encore is in the shop with a broken charge air plate. No idea how long it will take to get the part. Meanwhile Im in another rental. What happened to quality control??
You can usually go find you a decent vehicle at a reasonable price. The cars are very safe and they keep you updated on any recalls. My favorite car is the Buick LeSabre. It has been a blessing to me and my family. It has the sporty look that I love. Came in my favorite color which is black. I enjoyed the sun roof as a commodity on days when I didnt wanna run my air conditioner. The back camera on the license plate and the Aux cord was a plus too. The lights on the rear bumper view let you really see behind you. Although, I had a small car so you fit just the people I needed. The trunk has more than enough space on it. The passenger seat was heat and air conditioning in that side.
Buick has basically only cars and CUVs, not a variety of either. But what they do have they are good at. However, they are missing several models of cars that seem comparable to others. Cadillac had the ultra luxury space, so it makes it unclear exactly what Buick is going for. We purchased the LaCrosse and were very happy with the appeal overall. The color options were excellent and the curves were attractive. Overall the car had a modern, sleek, expensive look. Several personalization options were excellent, specifically some of the technology options. However, I feel that the Buick is lacking some of the more innovative safety features that other vehicles offer as options. While it doesnt have any huge passenger vehicles, it carries the popular and necessary options that carry between 5 and 8 people, which fits most families.
Buick Envision has great vision of the road. Safety features, comfortable to drive, electronic capabilities and quiet when running. Leather is great quality too.
My 2005 Buick Rainier is an older car, but has not given us any problems. It has been very reliable and the only things we have had to do are just considered regular maintenance. I like the leather seats and the wood details such as the steering wheel. I love the amount of space in the back as well as the dual climate control. The only features I would add are a sun/moon roof and maybe a DVD player for the back for long trips. Other than that, I just love the entire look of the car and it is also a very smooth ride.
One of my first cars was a Buick so buying another I was confident with the brand. The style and comfort was above expectation. The engine and handling was on point. My only complaint was the blindspot. But the outside style was sleek, sporty and looked of luxury and classic lines with just enough of toughness. The wheels looked and were an upgrade to your standard style too. The heated leather interior was on point but is hot in the summer and my pupper slide around on the seats. Wow the legroom in the back seat was amazing. Im short so of course it worked for me but my 63 husband fit comfortably as well. Plenty of leg & head room.
Buick drives well, good expansion, great CD Bluetooth stereo and speakers. I enjoy The ride. Gets great gas mileage. It has great color, plenty of room but not too big, it can fit 6 people comfortably. It has a small motor V6. I like the silver, red is beautiful. When backing up you have a beep if you get near anything. You will enjoy driving, you can talk and text without holding a phone theres a Bluetooth in this deer yet theres a place to hold your phone. The whole family can ride and enjoy comfortable and lush seating.
The Buick Skylark is like a sedan and sports car blend. Buick has been in business for many decades. I myself prefer the classic Buicks however the new styles are just as elegant. Buicks are conservatory priced and easily outclass more expensive car manufacturers. Buicks are classic sedans. The Skylark is a 2 door hard body sedan and is fast as a rocket on 4 wheels. For the passenger’s capacity, there are six seatbelts but you better hope everyone is very, very thin otherwise the driver will not have any elbow space to turn the steering wheel without breaking the ribs of whoever is unlucky enough to be riding in the front center seat. I would definitely recommend Buick to my children and grandchildren.
This brand has so many different models to choose from, and so many luxurious styles for its wide variety of consumers. Buick is a brand that is loved the whole way around. This brand has a very distinct cloud of features that make the Buick stand out. It also has front facing features that make it look sad as you walk away from driving. Its so cool. Buick comes with a lot of space for any situation, whether its family, friends or just ring in general. Making upgrades or even receiving them from this brand makes having a Buick well worth it in the end. This is why I believe a lot of consumers choose Buick.
New Buick Verano owned only 2 months - When driving, an RPM hits 15. Starts to shake and makes noises. Also, just tonight driving home and all my light inside and outside turned off. Couldnt see to drive. Luckily there was room to pull off highway or possible accident. Restarted car and lights came back on! GM needs to step up and make these cars better or there will be a huge lawsuit.
I had this vehicle 3 weeks only 27 miles on it when purchased. At time of problem there was 1000 miles on car. Pulling onto Highway at highway speed vehicle began to shudder and lose power. Pull off Highway shut down engine waited 10 minutes. Try to start engine it would not start. At time of problem check engine get mechanical service and traction stabilizing lights were on. I am writing this review because I have read so far 6 similar complaints. Car is now at dealer and I am waiting to hear what they say.
My fiancee was driving the vehicle and the left front tire locked up causing her to lose control of the van until it unlocked itself. This has happened several times. We took it to the dealership at least three times trying to get it fixed. They tell us nothing can be done. This appears to be a common issue as I found hundreds of occurrences on the internet of this happening. I would really like to get this fixed before she or the entire family gets into a serious accident.
Buick have lots of different models to choose from, from SUVs to smaller cars and all are quality vehicles. Ive bought Buick my entire adult life. The car has a very sleek look. Ive even had some people argue with me about it being a Buick. They truly stand out among other cars and I couldnt be happier with the way it looks. The power windows and Bluetooth capability is a huge bonus. As a businessman who is on the way home a lot it allows me to continue discussing things while Im on the road. It seats 5 people comfortably. I recently took a road trip for work with some coworkers and we all traveled comfortably in the car.
Since new Ive brought the car to Buick 2009 enclave for steering issues and check engine light. My wife driving off a highway made a left turn in NYC and the steering gave way. She hit a train trestle base. Since January we cannot pass inspection as they cannot figure out what is wrong with the car check engine light. After months. Its possible its the catalytic converter. Thats thousands of dollars. And part of a class action lawsuit as is the steering. Lets go GM. Give me another car or fix this one to my satisfaction!
I just discovered a leak in the base cover from the blower motor. I was very disappointed to learn from the Internet that this problem is a reoccurring problem on Buick Enclave from 2008-2010 and the dealer that sold me the car never disclosed said problem. I own a 2010 Model and I am sure that the floor and electrical have been damaged by water. This a an issue that demands a recall of the vehicle. I have been trying to have Buick fix the problem at their cost but I need authorization not to charge for the repairs and assurance that it can be fix. Please help.
I have a 1998 Buick Regal GS. Ive owned it for 10 years. There was a recall to address a valve cover gasket that allowed oil to leak on to hot exhaust causing fires. The gasket was fixed. The car continues to leak oil onto the exhaust and the catalytic converter. Also the car cuts out when the turn signal is used. It restarts. But when it cuts out, power steering and brakes are inoperative. Many Buicks and GM vehicles do the same according to the NHTSA complaints. Why is there no recall? This is why people buy Japanese. We were told not to park the car in the garage or close to the house.
I purchased a 2014 Lacrosse and was told the number 2 package would ride better, so I purchased it. The thing rides like a lumber wagon. Unless you want a ruff riding vehicle stay away from this package. Customer service offered little to no help, referred me back to the dealer, and they had very few ideas to improve the ride and never offered me any compensation. So far I have spent about $1700.00 to fix the problem. I dont know if the customer service people know anything about fixing a problem like this? You would think someone in the company would know what to do!
Buick Riviera has good gas mileage and service record low cost maintenance and the service we received from Buick was of high quality. We were able to comfortably fit six adults in the car with plenty of legroom and ability to move around if needed. The cloth seat covers were very comfortable. The car has a sharp image, quality paint job, with electric windows, cruise control, automatic headlight system, moon roof that leaked and a quality seal. Also, it has a state of the art full stereo system with cd, am/fm and cassette tape option, intermittent wipers, full antilock brake system, and a heated seat option good for cold days. I would highly recommend Buick for a quality vehicle.
I purchased a 2011 Buick Lacrosse in 2012, brand new in 2013. It began having electrical issues and as of this date has gone through 5 batteries. There have been numerous issues with computer sensors, air conditioning and overheating engine power. This vehicle has left my wife stranded on 2 occasions and on others it had to be towed to the dealership for repairs. I made Buick corp office aware of this ongoing issues back in 2013 and as of this date they advise that there is nothing they can do. Prior to the warranty expiring it experienced 1 cylinder failure and now after said warranty its experienced another cylinder failure. It only has 40k miles. This s the worst vehicle Ive ever owned. I will never purchase another GM product again. They do not stand behind their products. Buyer beware.
Buick has great variety. Definitely more versatile than I originally expected going to a Buick dealership. I truly enjoyed the experience and the variety. It has a super sleek and modern appearance. Much more visually appealing than the older Buick models that people usually associate with this particular car brand. The various upgrade and personalization options was amazing. I do not necessarily need a lot of gadgets and upgrades but there were definitely a lot available for other people that may want those sorts of things. It also has plenty of passenger capacity with lots of leg room and armrest plus lots of cup holders and a comfy seat from what Ive heard from the passengers in my car.
Buick LeSabre was a four door sedan with roomy seating both in the front as well as the rear passengers area. The trunk was a nice size to fit a wheelchair and walker in without any concerns. It had a body style that was both practical and pleasing to look at. The color was silver and came with air bags. It had a nice sound system with cassette and CD features. There was a cruise control, ABS breaking system and power windows and door locks. It was bought used and was a standard model, but it road quite smoothly on the roadways.
I was in search of a good sized SUV and decided on the Buick Encore. Perfect size for what I wanted and needed. Good on gas and a comfortable ride. I live in a cold weather state and the option of heated seat and steering wheel made this choice simple for me. It offered ample leg room as well as comfortable seat belt fitting. Since this was my first time actually purchasing a car I went with various updates. I picked forward collision alert, Bose surround system, lane departure warning, rear vision camera, memory seat, and remote vehicle starter. I am single but I have more than enough room to fit my nieces, nephews, and younger cousins. It does not seem like it from the outside but the interior is very roomy which adds to a comfortable fit for all.
Noise sounds like air intake is restricted causing a whistlingnoise to transmit into the passenger compartment. Told by one dealership that it is the alternator just doing what its supposed to do. The second dealership used a stethoscope to listen to the alternator. The noise was not coming from the alternator but could be coming from the tensioner pulley or the serpentine belt. Tested another new (2015 LaCrosse) and found the same noise. Told I have to live with it. Is this what Buick quiet tuning is? My 2010 LaCrosse did not have that noise. Also no response from Buick!
Just purchased my 2012 Lacrosse in March 2016. Its been at the dealership twice for a total of 23 days, and as of today they still dont have a diagnosis. They cant tell me that my car is safe to drive or that it isnt going to leave me stranded. Only that they dont know what causing the very loud noise thats coming from somewhere in the engine. My car only has 50,000 miles. I could have purchased a new car for what I paid for my used car but I really thought I wanted a Buick. Not...
My Buick Lucerne is a great car. Large enough, sturdy, much better on gas than I anticipated, and a very comfortable ride. Its actually a 2006 that had decent mileage and a great price when I bought it. It had been years since I had driven a Buick and now I remember why I always liked them.
There are small to extra large vehicles available. Sporty to old man style, small engines to large engines, 2 door to 4 doors to SUV, from economy to luxurious styles with all the amenities. The 4 door mid size SUV with a v8 engine has some storage in the rear and lots of legroom and headroom. It has plenty of room for at least 5 passengers plus if need a luggage rack on top. I was also able to tow whatever is needed at that time. It has nice stereo system all power in all the right places. Its also 4 wheel drive. It has almost every bell and whistle in it for a car of that year.
The cars come in so many different material types, big, small and different colors, its just amazing. The different models in this brand of car come in different years which means that one car may have this one thing in it but a newer model may have something better than the other ones. The car brand is very nice and up to date, too. They have the feel of a luxury car with a price you can afford. The insides are very easy to keep up with and to keep the Car clean as well. This is a family car. It can hold up to five people which is perfect for the average family nowadays. It also has great trunk space for those big shopping trips that you take.
I purchased a 2010 Buick Enclave CXL. This car is the most unreliable car I have ever owned by FAR. The steering column has been replaced twice, the car has leaked water into the passengers side cabin, and then the car leaked water again due to the sunroof rails and caused my Bose amplifier ($1000 to replace) to burn up. Today the wave plate for the transmission is gone ($3500) replacement. Apparently the wave plate is a consistent issue with any of the GM products but they have refused a recall. Also, the air conditioner will now blow in all vents except for the front blowers. Apparently an evaporator issue. I will never purchase a GM product again. It doesnt matter how beautiful a car is if you cant drive it because it is always in for repair. The scary and irresponsible fact is that the steering column and wave plate issues are very dangerous for the families driving the car. GM should take responsibility for their faulty parts and recall both. I contacted three different people at GM to discuss the steering column issue and they stated that because I didnt purchase the vehicle brand new that they wouldnt assist me. The car had 68000 miles on it when I bought it. I contacted them with 69,000 miles.
My 2006 Buick Lucerne has many issues. When getting in the car, the lite knob hits knee. Its seat plastic is cracked. The original tire has belt seam overlapped too far, causing thumping and air pressure notification to come on. One rim leaked due to flaking chrome and corrosion, its outside trim is coming loose.
I was very happy with my purchase of my Buick. It has a variety features that were pleasing to me. Great mileage, interior, tires and great on gas. The Buick was a blue color, four door car, great rims, black interior leather with great stereo and speaker system, not loud, or clanky, no rust. Overall a great lasting car. Its upgrade included the very best of technology, everything is computerized and functions at its best at all given times. At least six passengers can ride in my vehicle. We all fit nice and comfortable and have enough seat room and seat belts for every passenger.
I bought a 2003 Buick LeSabre from Faulkner Ford in Quakertown. It had 74,000 miles on it and I thought it would be a good used car. I didnt drive it right away due to car insurance problems. We took it on vacation and the air conditioner worked until we reached our destination. I couldnt take it in for service due to my work schedule. Once I took it in, they told me that the air compressor was cracked and leaked out all the freon. I believe they knew about this repair when they sold me the car. The repair is going to cost between $500 and $800. I looked around and cant afford to fix it since it was financed. I believe it was a deceptive deal. They sold the car advertising that it had air conditioning when in reality it didnt. I was furious. I talked to the service department and also the sales manager trying to get them to do the repair. I have a warranty but of course, it doesnt cover those repairs.
I have owned my Rainier for 4 1/12 years and have recently had issues with the air suspension system. As I drive or when it’s parked, the vehicles rear end drops, which causes headaches and stomach pain from the bouncing around as I drive. I have researched this issue and found numerous complaints with the same issue. I have taken very good care of the vehicle, and feel that Buick/GM should cover the costs of the repair, since this is a default/defect in the manufacturing of the vehicle and no fault of my own. I am paying a 450.00 monthly car payment that I feel is a LEMON, and I am very frustrated, embarrassed, and dismayed.
We have a 2011 Buick Regal with 60,000 miles. Transmission went this summer. Got that fixed. Now the timing chain is broke. Because the timing chain broke the motor went. The car is an absolute lemon and we are told nothing is covered. I wish I knew how GM could get away with this.
Be driving down the road and the radio just stops playing and the touch screen will not work, dont know what to do. Called the dealership waiting to see if its covered.
There are a variety of models such as the LaCrosse and another is a LeSabre but my car was a Skylark. It was a used car and my first car so I was happy to have it. It didnt have any dents or bangs in it, it ran good and the paint job on it was good, too. I only have one kid, so there was always room, a nice back seat and it was quite roomy. I think all Buicks have nice roomy cars and can hold as many as 6 people. But it was stolen so I really didnt get a chance to update it.
I purchased this car almost 2 months ago and have driven it all of 4 days. During that time the vehicle shut off and lost power while I was going 75 to 80 miles per hour on a freeway. I almost got in a horrible accident each time. I took the car back to the dealers so they could figure out what was going on. After having the car for almost 30 days, they call me and say they have no idea what is making it do that. Told me I need to pick up the vehicle and release the loaner and want me to drive this unsafe vehicle! They are crazy!
The Buick has cruise control, air conditioner, power windows. Its good on gas mileage, has airbags, all wheel drive, manual trunk, GPS, and leather seats. Its a very beautiful designed vehicle. It has great bumper to Bumper warranty, and good prices. Its a good performance vehicle, and has lot power, lot of color design on the vehicle, and comes with extra seats. There are vents in back for Ac and heat. This vehicle upgrade is wonderful and the technology they did to this vehicle is awesome. Its a wonderful personalized vehicle for customers looking for in a vehicle. There are more rooming vehicles on the market. The extra seat in the back helps out a great deal. You can the back seats down, tuck them out also. You got to look at this vehicle.
I have had to replace 4 window regulators! The windows just stopped working without any warning. Theyve been very expensive! There needs to be a recall on them and refund customers.
I have a 2014 Buick Regal. This morning I took it to the dealer because there it was a message on the car regarding the power steering. They changed the car battery cause they said that was the reason of the message. I just want to let people know that I previously had a brand new Buick Lacrosse 2013 that I changed for this Regal and that it gave me the same problem with the battery in less than 2 years. Im not a mechanic specialist but how it is possible that 2 different brand new cars are exactly giving the same problem? It means that the manufacturer it is using a very low quality batteries on their cars to reduce their costs. I was thinking to buy a Lacrosse again but I will think it three. What a shame because I really like Buick. However, I recognize that the service at the dealer is extremely good. The guys over there are awesome, excellent attention. Thank you guys!
Anyone having rodent/mice problems? Well, apparently the auto industry in attempt to go green has put SOY in their wiring, making your wiring very attractive to mice. My vehicle is currently in shop being repaired, although I have comprehensive coverage and the damage is covered, however, I have to the $500 deductible. Does anyone know who I take up the $500 deductible with, I dont feel I should have to pay this whatsoever. Ive read several class action lawsuits being taken against Honda right now for the same reason, I have not seen anything for Buick/GM as of yet. Any advice would be great, thanks in advance!
There is a wide variety of cars manufactured by Buick to suit everybodys needs. Some for safety, some for technology and some for sporty. I owned a Buick Lasabre as my first car and that thing lasted me over 10 years plus what it lasted the person I got it from. Buicks are durable, long lasting cars. Also, the appearance is just beautiful. Its sleek and smooth yet tough. Its sexy like a woman yet strong like a man. They have upgraded their safety features and their technology features. You can pretty much make your own car now, haha. The capacity is whatever you want it to be. All you have to do is tell them what you want in a car and consider it done.
This 2010 Buick Enclave CXL has been a problem from start, its had the steering system changed, the front end changed, water pump, thermostat, wiper motor, ignition key security system failed, motor mounts, the A/C went out, navigation failed, radiator and fans replaced, etc. I have had more problems with this vehicle in 6 years than I did with a 12 year old Infiniti. And its still not working right, thats why I went out and purchased another Infiniti, I was going to buy another GM Yukon Denali but not after going through so much headaches. And recently I have the engine idle is working rough almost stalling, warning that engine power has been reduced, and the other day the engine would not shut off after taking key out of ignition, its like if it were possessed. This is a definition of lemon. Wont recommend this vehicle to anyone.
Buick has a great variety of vehicles. It was a wonderful color, kinda looked black but in the sunlight it was a deep purple. It had an on dash Gps that was placed very nicely, I didnt have to take my eyes off the road to look at it. It also had heated seats, for Michigan that is wonderful. My son is over six foot tall, and he did in the passenger side with comfort. The back seat was quite roomy as well. It had a hatchback making it easy to load and unload groceries. But I would love to buy the smaller Suv they have out now. It seems very stylish and so Good be excellent on gas mileage.
Buick is very reliable. I have been very happy with the cars Ive owned, looking into buying a new vehicle very soon like a Volkswagen Jetta or any Sedan or a SUV. I love the Volkswagen Jetta appearance throughout the years. Its always been a very adorable car and its features have been getting better with the years. They offer a lot of features with the new vehicle. It does get pricey but honestly its cheaper than most brand new vehicles out there and they are very reliable cars. They are very comfortable and spacious. They are differentially the type of luxury Im looking for. Besides, a SUV would be more room for everyone in my house.
I purchased a Buick LaCrosse. The vehicle is very good on fuel and is extremely comfortable to drive and ride. The heating and air conditioning adjust the comfort in the car very quickly when left outside. The aerodynamics make the car look very sleek. Powered moonroof has a net to protect from pests when open. I have never seen that on any other vehicle. Then I adjusted the grill cover for online that was custom made. Very comfortable seating for 4 adults. On a few occasions I attempted 5, but there was limited leg room in the back.
Broke down while traveling. First dealer replaced a warranty battery which I had to pay for because the dealer I bought it from did not provide the proper info according to service manager. Was told it was ok. Drove 200 miles had same problem. Drove to closest Buick dealer, paid for another diagnostic. Was told it was ok. Drove 40 miles, same problem. Drove back to same dealer was told what the problem was. Same as the first diagnostic from OnStar. Had to order part. Finally repaired and drove home. Had to deal with Delco direct to get a partial refund for the battery.
I bought my car a year ago. Both interior door panels on right side are damaged. They said they would order them and replace both. I have literally called them every month and there’s some excuse! I still have never gotten a follow up call from anyone! All the managers in all departments know me because of how many times I’ve been in. Now my engine light has been on 3 days! I’ve left 7 messages between my service guy and his manager. I need to make service appt. No one will call me back! It’s horrible service. I asked to please let me know even if they are too full to fit me in. They just ignore me. Maybe I’m being too nice??? I would never buy a Buick again!!!
There are several different vehicle types and it made considering other options beneficial. I had never looked into crossovers before, and after looking at the model first hand, I was able to weigh the benefits. There were also many many upgrade and personalization options to choose from. I was able to customize the vehicle to my specific needs, and not have ones that were not ideal. The cars are sleek, modern, and stylish. Theyre also very ideal and comfortable. The designs werent inconsiderate to my daily needs and uses. Having a child and expanding my family, the vehicles offered plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable while we travel together.
Buick corporation and GM Corporation you guys have the nerve to send my a survey asking my opinion of the service from my dealership. Well lets see. You guys have had my car almost as much as I have considering my car has been to the dealership 13 times and you all still cant seem to fix it. Hire people who know what they are doing. Buick corporation you guys are the biggest ** of all. Ive contacted you all twice concerning this car and you all have basically told me keep working with the dealership even after explaining your certified dealership cant seem to fix the issue. So I will say this. People stay away. This cars are junk. They will sell you a certified lemon. It will say certified car which is suppose to mean as good as any new car. It should really have stated certified lemon garbage rolling nightmare, POS that no one will ever fix because they dont know the issue. Do not contact Buick Corp because you will be wasting your time as they true just want you to keep bringing your car in replace parts that shouldnt need replacing and by time its all said and done you could have purchased a new car because by time you truly find the problem you will have spent more money fixing the rolling POS that they certified.
There are several different models like hybrid and electric as well as gas. It has different colors and different styles that fit a range of personalities. The Buick is white with a nice silver trim with voice automated features, it is digital and it has mobile apps with wifi capabilities and power steering and its reasonable prices. You have the ability to customize your interior as well as the technology included you can add music apps navigation apps restaurant and even adding voice recognition. It has a lot of extra room for extra people to squeeze in and has the ability to pull cargo also a very roomy trunk space with folding seats.
I love that they offer a wide variety of models to choose from as well as seating options for someone with a family that can seat 6 or a single person who isnt concerned with seating. They are equipped with current technology. From satellite radio, seat warmers, back up camera. You have many options, from basic to fully loaded with all the gadgets. The vehicles are reliable for the price. Stylish but not overly flashy. The interior is sleek, very sturdy and quality made. Then vehicles are very comfortable to drive during long distance travel. The seating is spacious and doesnt feel cramped in the back seat.
They have an awesome selection of vehicles to meet everyone needs and wants! My favorite is the Buick Regal because it has great gas mileage and it is a great vehicle. It also has comfortable seating and lots of room for any passenger driver. It has an awesome exterior model and shine and the interior is a great leather with a great dash and awesome steering wheel. There is also the Buick Englave, it is not really personalization type of car but it has suited my needs and wants for a car. I am completely satisfied.
I purchased a 2011 Buick LaCrosse BRAND new and it has been the car from HELL. From the 6th day of ownership, it has been towed 12 times and now is in the shop because it wont go in reverse.
Buick has always had a shape with the way the cars body lines are and the interior is a lot of the same as well with them all and they all have the same steering. Its a older car but still my favorite and includes bluetooth radio and remote for the radio as well. It also includes sunroof and bigger engine a 455 big block. You can add a lot of things to the cars. They have a lot customizable features and can even change the sunroof style. 4 people is good enough. Its a family car. It can do anything you need to do with your average size family and has somewhat good gas mileage as well.
Let me just start out by saying I choose to lease my Buick Verano since I love to get a different car every couple of years. The car I got is a 2012 Buick Verano and I had the dealership drive to New York from Pennsylvania to get this specific color package I wanted. The car itself is Beautiful and runs ok but I have the lease until December. I really did not have any major issues since I got the car in September 2012. My husband and I tried to take it to the dealership the other day to see if we could trade it in for a New car and we found out that this car only will get a trade in value of $13,000 IF WE ARE LUCKY!!! I ONLY PUT 30,000 MILES ON THE CAR. Two years ago the cars value was $28,000 and now it only worth $13,000 trade in value, not to mention that they say I still have 10 payments left so I owe about $19,000 total (not what I have left to pay) just if I wanted out of it today. I pay $380.00 month times 10 more months is what I will end up paying. I just want to say STAY CLEAR OF BUICK-THEY HAVE NO RESALE VALUE. THANK GOD THAT I CAN JUST TURN THE CAR IN AT THE END OF THE YEAR AND WALK AWAY!! LESSON LEARNED THOUGH... Do not buy Buick or lease because they are not worth anything once you drive it off of the lot!!!! We went to four dealerships and they all pretty much said your car is not worth anything compared to what you owe. One salesman said whatever you do, do not purchase this car at the end of your lease. Not that he had to tell me that one... I already wanted to get out of the lease. I just want to warn everyone to stay clear of BUICK!!!
In 3/2012 I had to replace the intake manifold gasket, heat upstream sensor, oil pressure switch, engine oil because of engine coolant leak that could have blown up the engine and then just today 7/16, 2014 it leaked again and I had to pay to replace the water pump and flush out the dex coolant totaling $1,142.25 in repairs because of it. I had to do other repairs not sure if the coolant caused it. This has affected my credit worthiness and resale value of vehicle.
There are several models of Buick including models from luxurious to very economical and from small to large. The distinct look of the buick vehicles can be identified by an emblem containing four objects and four or five openings on both sides of the hood which covers the engine compartment. There are also a lot of upgrade and personalization options available including types of engines and body styles and safety features. Many of the features that come standard are tire pressure checks, compass indicators and radios. In my Buick Lucerne it is difficult to get three passengers in the front seat because of the console between the driver seat and the passenger seat, but there is ample room for 3 people in the back seat and there is a very large luggage compartment.
I love my Buick. It has all luxury feature and bells and whistles. I love my back up camera. The color and spaces is amazing, too. Plus having the automatic start in it is even better, especially in the winter months, as well as heated seats. Plus the second row bucket seats too. However, I wish it came with a DVD player and sunroom. Still, I would highly recommend the Buick Enclave to other people. My experience was a great one. Its a nice luxury spacious SUV.
Ive only owned one car my whole life and I loved this car. It was a 1983 Buick Riviera and it was definitely a luxury vehicle. It looked good, it drove well, it had power, and it definitely was a style statement. I like the air shocks, the extra insulation in the passenger compartment to reduce the road noise, and the engine. It was and still is one of the classiest vehicles on the road. Definitely my dream car and if I could find another one I would buy it in a heartbeat.
I was forced to purchase a new to me vehicle after my 1989 Chevy CK1500 pickup truck with 750,000 miles on it was totaled when a kid ran a stop sign. On 2-21-19, I purchased a 1991 Buick Park Avenue Ultra from a farmer that parked it outside on gravel. It had 116,000 miles on it. I paid $2350.00. I had some work done by my local garage that I have been doing business with since 1988. It needed a new gas tank, shocks and a few other items. I have it serviced regularly. Due to being parked on gravel, rust has taken over the undercarriage. I need to replace the car not because of mechanical issues, but because it is rusting away. I like this car so much that I am seeking another one. **, my mechanic told me to stick with the 3600 Series motor and do get a turbocharged one. He said that you have to change the oil in the turbo unit. I agreed. I no longer have the need for speed. Im 67, I want comfort. This car never failed me. I use to drive 100 miles a day back and forth to work. It got 30mpg on the highway and 20-22 in the city. I drove mostly on the highway. The car took me to Indiana twice, Tennessee twice without missing a beat. I know how to parallel park. I can turn on and off my headlights and wipers. The problems I see here are people want all the bells and whistles. Well, there is a price to pay for all that.
I purchased a brand new 2016 Buick Encore end of August. I had issues with the car when driving under 40 mph where it would appear to cut out or shift hard. I had researched and found where other people had the issue and it went away a few thousand miles. Then in November at 3500 miles, it happened going down the highway at 50 mph and threw me forward in the car. Then once coming to a stop, I was unable to move in reverse, it made an awful sound and would not move. It would still go in drive but again cut out heavily. The car was towed to the dealer for repair.I am now told that the tool needed to repair my transmission was just ordered last week, over two weeks of having my car, that the tool would not be received until the end of December or first part of January. I am disappointed that GM would not approve for a complete transmission replacement as opposed to repair. I purchased the car loaded with every feature and I am most upset how long I am being deprived from the car.
We have a 2007 Buick with 25,000 miles on it and the GM engineers cannot figure out what is wrong. First we took the car to Richard Kay Superstore in Anderson, SC. They had it for 3 weeks, told me they called the GM engineers but never documented it. Gave us the car back, said it was fixed but the engine light came on within one hour driving the car home. Called the dealer back, they offered no solution, left us very disappointed. We decided to try the local Chevrolet dealer, Sonic Chevrolet in Walhalla, SC. They had the car for two months, replaced a number of sensors. Contacted the GM engineers, started a issue ticket with them. Sonic Chevrolet took the time with us and said if the light comes on again there are only two things left, one that will cost $700.00 and the other that costs $1,000.00. They said the engineers told them they have never seen this happen before.Well after two days the light is back on. Since we have already spent $1,000 on parts and another $650 on new tires. I should say we originally purchased the car new and always had it serviced by GM dealers and mechanics on a regular basis. We will be bringing the car back to Sonic Chevrolet in Walhalla SC. With this issue, one needs to ask, why would anyone want to buy a GM vehicle when the computer or engineers cannot find out why the engine light is on? Seems to me that if there was no computer you wouldnt need all of the sensors and there wouldnt be a issue with a engine light, and I wouldnt have had the car tied up for three months or had to spend the money on top of the regular service we had done.
I have a 2013 Buick Verano. The paint on the hood and roof is fading. Its Ebony Twilight Metallic. I love my Verano and plan keeping this car for a long time. Was wondering if anyone else is having this trouble or what can be done about it.
Now that I know that the Buick Rendezvous is a money pit, I am certain that the dealer does not care about the quality and reliability of the cars it produces. I have sunk nearly 8,000 dollars into a 2002 Buick Rendezvous because I was locked into a car note and could not afford another car. Sad day when you want to buy American but the product is subpar to competitors. Not only that most of the owners of these cars dont even know that they will never be able to go more than 3 months without an expensive repair of some type, be it transmission, hub bearings, differential, cooling and heating, relays, window motors, power steering, etc., it goes on and on. I will never buy another Buick and hope others will take the time to research the product before they purchase this money pit. I love American products, I wish that the producers loved us enough to produce something that wont bankrupt you, or at least pretend you are listening. I have no transportation after paying 12,000 car note plus 8000 dollars + in repairs.
This automobile is not only beautiful, its spacious, comfortable, quiet and a joy to ride in. Weve taken it on many road trips with great music and plenty of room to stretch out and store whatever we need to travel with. On family excursions we pop up the third row seats and off we go!
While driving to work in a 2013 Buick Lacrosse, check engine light popped on then all lights went off, car went off. There was absolutely no power anywhere. No Radio, no light, no cell, no anything. These cars has to have a factory recall. When this car stopped, a serious accident could have happened. Gm needs to fix this problem. A class action suit is on its way!!!
I have been very happy with my Buick Regal, however, it costs quite a bit to have repairs done at the dealership.
This car has almost 300,000 miles and is still a decent car. My Buick Lesabre has almost 300,000 miles and is still going. I purchased this vehicle due to great reviews on the engine Buick used for this vehicle. I have kept my oil changed and regular tune ups. And I believe that makes a difference in the life of your car. I recommend this vehicle. I see a lot of older Buick Lesabres on the road daily. So they must be doing something right.
I purchased a used 2006 Buick Lacrosse in August 2014. It had just under 32,000 miles on it. With so few miles on it I thought it would be like driving a new car. I took it for a very short test drive and bought it. What a mistake. All the lights on the dash go dim, off and on all the time. Also, this week in the space around the odometer I get the message ice. Also, with the heater and air conditioner, it pauses if you change the settings at all. Ive never had this happen with any car Ive ever owned. The comfort level of this Buick is terrible. When you go over a manhole cover, brick road, railroad track, or uneven pavement, you feel every little bump. I also dont like the fact that the windows are so much smaller than all my previous Buicks. If I were to ever need to crawl out of one it would be impossible as they sit much higher up than in the other Buicks Ive owned. When I am merging onto the highway I really have to punch the gas to get up to speed. With my Park Avenue and LeSabre I could just push a little harder on the gas and be at speed very quickly. The gas mileage on this car is also terrible. Im lucky to get 20 to 21 mpg in town and 26 to 27 on the highway. With the Park Avenue I got 26 to 28 in town and 38 on the highway. If you have any walking problems and lean against this car, you can hear the molding move. This car is like being in a tin can. This will be the last Buick I ever buy.
Stalling and not starting of 97 buick lesabre - I have watched the recalls and saw that they go back as far as my year but not the model. My one owner 97 was purchased from a Buick dealership 3 yrs ago with only approx.117,000 miles. I figured was going to last until I quit driving as Im 66. In the first 5 miles I drove, the check engine light came on. My sister who got the car for me was adamant it was fine when she drove home and dew places trying it out. She had to have them replace the battery before she got it. We took to a garage where the gas cap was replaced and the man said that was probably all it was. Light went off till filled up next day to return back to me home...right back on, was running fine so ignored it, drove 225 miles home. About 2 months later after having auto parts house check codes went off. Stayed about 1 month. The next time came on, different code showed up. Had towed in to shop after wouldnt start and they kept 2 days, said couldnt find anything wrong. Week later stranded me a second time ..so after waiting about 20 min it started up. Got home...son looked, checked all wires etc...said didnt see a problem. I drove back 225 miles. Back in July, got there - had to have water pump replaced and the air quit working on. Hi fan only works on med. Now for 3 yrs I have had nothing but problems. Replaced starter because after having to bump start to try get going, it went out. Wires plugs all small stud trying to fix, nothing has worked. The car cut completely off while going down highway at 55, 6 months after got it. Now happens about once every few weeks, nothing works at all. Cant steer and so afraid someone will hit me trying to get off road. This car is only transportation I have and on fixed income. Cant afford another one, still owe my sister about 1000 dollars on it. She pd $3500.00 at Buick dealership in Statesville N.C for it. She just recently had to replace thermostat and needs serpentine belt which I have but not on yet. The other thing is the not starting when you drive. Make a stop or 2 then wont crank....have to wait at least 12 - 15 min. Sometimes you get lucky and it started. Most of time you have a cycle 1st try 12 min....2nd, wait 15 - 20 more min, then wait full 20 min again. Usually 3rd time after waiting up to as much as an hour she cranks...but has had to be let sit in yard at home for several hours before will start. This is serious and needs to be addressed, this car is dangerous and needs to be on the switch problem recall. Im at my wits end with nothing to fix it with. Yes it was a used car but supposedly according to your dealership was a heck of a car. Nothing but worry and problems, since Ive had it Im stuck. Please help me before I become one of your GM statistics.
I need a part replacement for an oil or transmission leak. Its not available according to dealership and on back order...for over a week. While not a large leak, the possibility exists it may increase and prohibit further driving. Buick is a 2010 Lucerne and is also ready for a recall which was to be performed simultaneously. Is it possible a company as large as GM cannot ship said part immediately? Further, Jim **, Dealer of Orchard Park NY should return my calls and at least let me know of progress or lack thereof.
I really enjoy my car. It is really wonderful, works well, and gets everything done. It was quite easy to pick out. Buick is wonderful because they care about their customers and will help you find the car that meets all of your needs. I have a radio, television, and air bags in the front and back seats of my car. These came with a family plan that was no extra charge, just for safety. I found this to be really awesome and convenient since I have children and am generally transporting kids from school and such so it helps. Also, I got an upgraded sunroof for the summertime and it works amazing! It opens automatically with a small button that I have in the drivers seat so I dont have to fiddle with the roof while I am driving when I am in need of fresh air. And I love that this car has so much room and space for my family, kids, and even friends of friends of friends! Everyone can fit and we can carpool.
