GM Cadillac start to disintegrate at 55,000 miles. Not worth the money. No customer service. GM makes the worst cars and GM executive customer service is even worse than their cars. I will never buy a GM and my family and their families will know my disgusting experience with your GM vehicle and horrible staff especially the CEO of GM. NEVER PURCHASE A GM. Horribly manufactured with horrible customer service, if you can ever get a one the phone. My customer service on my Caddy was just horrible and the repair warranty was the worse. Plus, all inferior plastic parts in the Cadillac are disintegrating before my very eyes. And this a low mileage car that was very expensive but built with inferior materials. All glam and hype but no quality. NO MORE GM FOR ME, FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND FRIENDS OF FRIENDS.And one more thing, there has been a knocking in my engine from the day I drove it off the lot but somehow every time I took it in to have GM their mechanics always told me thats normal for this type of vehicle to have knocking in the engine. When I took my vehicle outside of GM to be looked at by Cadillac mechanics, I have been told that this was not normal for this Cadillac to be knocking all the time. I rest my case with GM and whoever is running GM. Plus the windshield was never put in properly. It is just a badly made vehicle with the brand name Cadillac. What a shame for such a classic. Horrible experience with GM dealership, GM customer service and tried to reach the CEO Mary.
There is a lot of different models of Cadillac. They are nice cars... Prestigious and luxurious. What more can I say? Its a 1991 Cadillac Sedan DeVille in mint condition that doesnt need personalization. It is a full size car with a split bench front seat, and can hold six passengers. It is a classic that commands attention wherever I go. The gas station or supermarket people approach me to admire it.
Cadillac SRX 2011 - The check engine light has come on 5x in the last 2 months. Each time the dealer says it is the same code some type of transmission sensor. Had it at the dealer Thursday & light came on Saturday. Rattle in front of car & dealer said cant find anything. This is the performance collection & sometimes it shifts like it is in the performance mode when it is not. First & last experience with a Cadillac. It only has 49,000 miles & I have had more issues with this car than any other car I have owned.
The car was a little hard to maintain but overall worth the experience. It needs more space and wider interface that I can feel like Im in control of something. I wish there were more models to choose from. It was also hard to find a good information on the manufacturer. My budget is way too tight for anything luxurious and hard to maintain. Im looking for something I can pass on to my kid and share this experience with my family but have as much fun with the car and be safe at the same time.
2006 CTS - This is the very first Cadillac I have ever own. Nothing problems with this car. The transmission coolant lines blew out of the radiator causing transmission fluid to shoot over the road and white smoke came back. This car is a disaster and everything falls apart - the rear differential bushing excellent quick.
I purchased the 2015 Cadillac Escalade SUV before it came out. I purchased it in Aug. of 2014. I was so happy to be one of the only people in my area to drive the new model Cadillac Escalade. Everything was going great until I noticed the transmission slipping when I hit the gas. I took it into the nearby Cadillac dealer in Burlingame CA. They are called PUTNAM Cadillac. I pulled up to the service line. After I told them I was having issues with transmission. They told me to wait. I waited 20-30 mins later ask what happened. They told me, You didnt buy your car from us so just keep quiet and wait until we are ready to help you. Wow this was a shock to me. I couldnt believe a big brand company would say something like this. They kept my care for a 1-2 weeks and told me the slipping is normal. I had no choice but to believe them. I am not a mechanic but Im sure I know when a transmission slips. Anyway I took off. Also the navigation was freezing and the steps were not working properly. They also replaced the electrical harness said it was bad. Then 1 month later the steering started clicking. Long story short after 4 visits to the same dealer. They ended up replacing the complete steering console. NOT SURE WHY THEY WOULD HAVE LET ME DRIVE. MY FAMILY AROUND ALL THIS TIME IF THEY KNOW THE PROBLEM COULDNT GET FIXED. I could have gotten in a accident and took my family with me.Since I purchased this car for the family. After all the problems I had to buy my wife a minivan (while still paying for the Cadillac payments) because she didnt feel safe in the Cadillac. She didnt even let me take the kids anywhere. So I ended up purchasing a truck so I could safely drive my kids around and not loss my marriage over the Cadillac. After they replaced the steering console the clicking went away but now the steering console is loose. Wow what the hell is going on here. If this is not a lemon vehicle then I dont know what is. I just got off the phone with Cadillacs rep. They said, What do you want?. I told them I want my money bad at the least (minus any wear and tear. Im a very fair person, but I dont want to be taken advantage of.). They said That is impossible, but we will forward your info to the higher ranked people in GM. So I will wait to hear from them and see what they say. I will keep this review updated every time I speak to them so everybody will know how it is to deal with a lemon vehicle with GM.
2007 Cadillac DTS very roomy, smooth ride and very comfortable. Have had no major issues since owning this vehicle, other than cracked windshield from a rock thrown by passing car and someone keying side of car.
My company, Yellow Cab, owns a 2003 Cadillac Deville, vin#**, that needs a lower control arm, GM part#25701173. I contacted the Cadillac dealer, Rimrock Auto, in Billings, MT parts dept (Jeff) **. He states that part is no longer made. It is now made by AC Delco. The problem is that part is not the same and does not fit. He suggested contacting Cadillac. Cindy at Cadillac said I had few options including a junk yard part. I said that would not be acceptable because of being a public transportation company safety is a concern. This car is out of service and costing money daily. Are they required to have new parts for 10 years or what? Thanks.
I just got off the phone with Cadillac and I have to say that it was one of the worst experiences that Ive ever had with regards to a vehicle I own. I first called Cadillac on Monday, October 9, 2017 and I asked to speak to a manager but the representative told me that one was not available and that one would call me back within 24 hours. The next day (Tuesday) I called again and received the same response. I called again on Wednesday and the representative was going to tell me the same thing again but I decided to explain my situation to her. I told her that I was in need of a vehicle repair because of bad parts that Cadillac installed in my truck when manufactured. The proof is in the attached image of a service bulletin. She then told me that she would get back to me after she investigated what could be done.So today Thursday I received a call from the representative, Alicia, and she says that because it was a service bulletin and not a manufacturer recall that nothing can be done. I stated to her that for there to be a service bulletin, there had to be many customer complaints experiencing the same issue so thats why the service bulletin was created to let the mechanics know that there are bad parts in my vehicle. She stated that because the trend of complaints werent big enough, a recall was not made. So my response was, how do you define how great of a trend a mechanical problem has to be before it is considered a recall? In my eyes it appears that Cadillac does not want to fork the bill for repair so they deliberately classified this mechanical problem as a low trend of complaints not worthy of an official recall so that they can pass the expense to the consumer.I totally understand their stance but is this fair to the average consumer to have to come up with thousands of dollars for a transmission related repair even if Cadillac knew that there were bad parts in my specific year/model of my vehicle? This is not morally right in my eyes and probably in the eyes of consumers that have been forced to pay out of pocket for similar situations. She asked me if it was ok to record the call at the beginning of the call in which I agreed. However I also took it upon myself to record the call as well and it is available for you to scrutinize if needed. My Cadillac case number is **. I truly hope that Cadillac can do the right thing which is to pay for repairs. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.
It was a decent car I brought and I pretty much like all of Cadillacs types of cars, although the one I brought broke down somehow. I am fixing it but I still am satisfied. It is one of the best cars out there. It was so shiny and new with a beige or tan color and a nice wood interior by the windows. It was just the perfect design for me. I havent gotten any upgrades yet but I could possibly upgrade the car or personalize it but I am satisfied with the upgrade options. I am happy about how much room the car offers wherein I could fit all three of my children in the car with a guest in the passengers seat without any worries.
I bought my Cadillac CTS almost exactly one year ago. I was driving home from work last week and I had numerous alarms go off. Only had 1st gear and no power at all. The display showed traction control malfunction, and I pulled over right away. The car went straight to the local GM dealership. The service writer told me it could be a number of things and he would have a tech look at it. Gave me a ride home, no loaners. He called back that afternoon and told me the problem was the transmission module and solenoid, pulled pan and replace parts, fluid, and filter. $1500.00! I couldnt believe it, I told him the car only has 82000 miles on it and the transmission was just serviced at 70000 miles, maintenance. I am going to ask for the old part back and somehow come up with the $1500.00.
I own a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. In 2014, I received a bulletin from GM that a bearing in the supercharger could go bad and ultimately seize the engine. The letter went on to say they extended coverage for this problem for 10 years or 120K miles. The letter instructed me to listen for a rattling noise when the car was at idle. It expressly said in the letter, not to bring the car for service unless you hear the noise. At my next service, I asked if the car had the problem - they said No, that is the injectors you are hearing. The next time the car went for service was 130,000 miles. I never heard a rattling noise, but the car was diagnosed with the problem. It will cost me $3,250 to fix. This is just after pouring over $6,000 into the car (new rear-end, etc.). I called customer care and explained that the letter said not to bring the car in unless I heard the noise. This was a known problem that GM was aware of - I did as they instructed and now I am facing a $3,250 bill. I realize the car is over the mileage limit (despite being well within the 10 year extended coverage for this issue), so I asked if they would consider paying half. I further explained that I am an owner of three GM vehicles and was in the market to replace one. They just said No.
Best luxury SUV dollar for dollar and safer to see traffic. Surprised at roomy front cabin. Love heads up display! Love the color blue and the white interior. Best New model and the best dealer, great car!
I bought my 2013 SRX in 2014 and it had 12000 miles on it. The transmission shifts so hard, GM says this is normal. I dont think so. They had a recall on it, but I cant tell a difference. My cue screen quit working at 61k miles. Just over factory warranty. Dealership told me it would be at least 1200.00 to fix it, I opted to go without. Fast forward 6 months. My front left tire will not hold air, its a brand new tire. Come to find out, my rim has corroded and will not seal to the tire. Eventually, this happened with all 4 tires. Meanwhile, my cue screen has started cracking on the inside. I dont even use the cue module because it doesnt work. Dealership said it cracked because of the heat. I end up with a flat tire at end of my driveway, I go to change it, no spare, no donut. Just a can of fix a flat type stuff. I call dealership, they tell me to call roadside assistance. Seriously? I find out from the internet that I can order the cue replacement screen on Amazon for 80 bucks. I did. Then I took it to a local mechanic and had them install it for me. Cost me 130 bucks to have it installed. Beats the hell out of the minimum of 1200 for Cadillac. They try telling you the whole unit needs replaced. They take it, slap a new screen on it and sell it as refurbished. Crooks! So after buying new rims and an aftermarket screen and dealing with a hard shifting car, Im at 91k miles at this point, I get in my car to leave work and the ac stopped working. Took it to my fave local mechanic. He tries to fix it but apparently it is a sensor that has to be fixed by a gm dealer so it can be reprogrammed. Of course it does! To sum it all up, the Cadillac looks nice, the electronics quality is definitely lacking, and Cadillac does not stand behind their product. I will never buy another gm product again. My money will go back to Nissan.
2004 Cadillac Deville - The first regulator failed ($366.78) 2010, service advisor said a common problem for the vehicle. The second regulator ($319.23) failed in 2012 - different dealership service advisor said known problem for the vehicle. In 2012 I emailed Cadillac to see if they would cover these repairs. Escalated in GM several levels but ultimately they denied there was a problem - the parts not defective, the failure because they were beyond expected life cycle. Today the third regulator failed. This vehicle has 51000 miles and the rear windows were rarely used if ever. I have 3 other GM vehicles (92 Cadillac Allante, 1994 Saturn, 1998 Cad Deville) - no regulator problems.
The engine had to be replaced with less than 95,000 miles. Perfect maintenance and multiple repairs.
On June 11th, I visited the Cadillac dealership and informed the repair rep. Marissa the issues I was having with my vehicle. These included my speedometer, my fog lights, and lastly my radio. When I picked up my vehicle after spending $1,100 ($400 in labor alone), it still was not functioning properly. I promptly informed Marissa that my speedometer was not working and she said to return, which I did. She left me with the impression there was no extra charge since it was not correctly repaired originally. How was this missed since it was placed on diagnostics? Nevertheless, I was charged an extra $100 in labor, inconvenienced and dissatisfied with the outcome and decided to meet with service manager, Mr. **, for a better result in regards to the labor. The only thing he could provide me was a provision for the future but nothing for now. He even informed me that the speedometer was a recall issue that I never received and he could not or would not rectify this either. I am a long time customer of this dealership and am insulted by the way I was treated.
My 2015 Cadillac CTS CUE touchscreen freezes up (no response), blinks on and off and needs to be repaired. I see hundreds of people have this same problem. GM needs to address this problem with a recall. I see the CUE system is no longer produced (go figure). I plan to address this issue with MANY social media sites to force GM to listen to those of us who have this issue.
General Motors has extremely horrible cars. Now that I am reading their reviews, I am appalled and disgusted. I have a 2006 Cadillac CTS, my car has just reached 70,000 miles and now the timing chain needs to be replaced. I admit my car has been in an accident but I spoken to many professional mechanics, even ASE certified mechanics. And they stated even with the kind of accident the car had, it would not affect the timing chain. If the timing chain is worn, it is because the manufacturer. They stated to try to see if the manufacturer will try to give you a goodwill warranty because they are noticing a big trend of Cadillac CTS coming in with timing chain issues with low mileage. I called General Motors to see if they could do anything to help, and they said they will call the Cadillac dealership in my area. After basically harassing the dealership, calling them a million times, I finally went up there. The service advisor stated that GM will not do anything because my car has a salvaged title because it has been in a car accident. Thats a dumb ** reason and a pretty bad cover up if you ask me. So they told me to repair my car would be close to $3,000... Why on earth should I or would I pay that. General Motors is getting over on their customers and stealing their money and personally, I am not going to take this from them. I will be contacting a lawyer for them to conduct an investigation with General Motors because I know there are others with this same issue. They want to get people out of thousands of dollars. If I have to continually fight with General Motors for them to get a recall, I will spend several hours a day calling, emailing, and contacting whoever it is I need to contact. If they are going to continue to put out garbage cars, then they should go bankrupt. I believe if enough people come forward with their garbage GM made cars we can file a CIVIL case, and I wont stop until something is done. Either GM make a recall for timing chains in all Cadillac CTSs ... or they can face a lawsuit and end up in bankruptcy. Either way I will not stop until something is done. I would not recommend anyone buy a Cadillac or for that matter any GM car... let them go bankrupt and out of business. Save people their money. I will be consulting a lawyer no matter what the cost. General Motors is a get rich scheme and they will be stopped. Everyone involved and that has invested in General Motors will take a loss since their customers have to.
Simply put, 4 cue systems replaced and we are now going on #5! GM you have lost a customer for life! Overpriced junk! Definitely do your homework with any Cadillac with the cue system. Had I done mine, I would never put myself through the aggravation. Also replaced headlight lens. Good luck!
I purchased a 2004 Cadillac SRX last week from a dealership that did not offer a warranty. That was not the issue, considering the car seemed to be in great condition. A few days later I noticed that my Stability Control sensor repeatedly appeared on my dash, warning me of an issue. After doing my research online in regard to the issue, I noticed that this is a constant pattern for the 2004 SRX and many thousands of owners have complained with no resolution. This is a driving hazard because the car veers out of control and the breaks lock up at speeds over 50 mph.The forum discussion also mentioned a family that was killed as a result of this issue. They also mentioned numerous accidents and near accidents as well. I also know that GM is aware of this issue because they monitor the forum site and have responded with canny and inconsiderate responses to some of the comments made. The sad thing is that this vehicle has never been recalled for this issue.Essentially, I am not blaming the car dealership in regard to this issue. However, I am holding GM responsible for not correcting this highly dangerous defect years ago. I am surprised that this car is still on the road after reading all the horror stories. Thank you for your time and I hope this can be resolved before another innocent person is killed behind a companys irresponsible behavior.
Cadillac had a lot of selections of cars to choose from. I was really impressed with the amount of inventory they could fit in a showroom. They have good sales people, too. They will let you upgrade the heck out of the car just as long as you have the money for them. You can do it all if you want to spend. I knew the car was upgraded but the features were great and I could not believe it had so many different bells and whistles. You can also fit a lot of things and people in this car. It is quite roomy.
In April 2006, I purchased Cadillac STS V8, 1G6DC67A760130685/130685, from your Agent in Oman (Oman Technical Establishment). The navigation system was out of date and the TV reception was very poor. We took the car to the agent for repair. Unfortunately, they were not helpful and their reply was unsatisfactory. They told us that the TV reception is poor in all STS model and that they have no solution to it. With regard to the navigation system, they told us that we should pay considerable amount for updating it. The car was returned to us.At the beginning of May 2012, the audio system in the car stopped working. We took it for repair. Unfortunately again, the agency told us that they do not have a technician to repair it. Instead, they would send the car to Dubai to get the audio system repaired there and it would take 3-4 weeks to get it back. We asked if the agent will give us a car for our usage during the period of repair, but they refused. The car was returned to us. Navigation system, TV reception, and audio system are not working in our car. The agent did nothing to get our complaints solved. How can a GM sole agent in the country without a technician to repair the audio system and TV reception?
The Escalade is a great SUV, with power and luxury. It has great handling, excellent 4WD and came with a standard antitheft system. The STS gets good gas mileage for a luxury sedan. It has intelligent beam headlights and has some great features. It also has a phenomenal audio system and I upgraded to deluxe CD player system. I bought the last model year in 2011 and loved the 3.6 L V-6 engine. It has heated seats, heated steering wheel, easy to use cruise control, heated mirrors, rear seats which fold down, and the center armrest has a pass thru. It makes it easy to put fishing poles and/or skis in the trunk. The interior is roomy. It can easily accommodate five adult passengers or six if some are children. Theres enough legroom in the back so that no ones knees are hitting the back of the front seat, even when the driver has the seat back.
It’s an awesome vehicle. Theres a lot to choose from. They are all great choices but couldnt make up my mind so I test drove a lot of them and finally chose a winner. It came with all the features I was looking for. Bluetooth was a must and satellite radio. Electric windows and touch screen radio also and back row seats. Upgrades are a plus like seat warmer, sunroof, and all the extras. But I got those cause they are a must to me, and its more convenient. Space was also a must for me, and the vehicles capacity is awesome! The leg room, arm space are not cramped up like the other car Ive had previously. Everyone is satisfied and comfortable.
I am a owner of a 2012 Cadillac SRX. My husband and I had started to notice our low beam lights getting dim to the point that driving at night is next to impossible without the high beams and we were trying to figure out how to come up with the money to get our vehicle’s lights repaired thinking it was just something that happened over time. Recently 02/24/20 we received a letter in the mail that GM was offering to reimburse customers up to 800.00 per headlight who had spent money out of pocket to get the issue corrected. Well my first thought was great we don’t have to worry about how we are going come up with the money because GM is acknowledging that this is an issue on their end and we could just take our vehicle to the dealership show them the letter and they would fix our lights. WRONG! When I called the dealership we were told GM would NOT pay upfront for our repairs although they are AWARE of the issues with the SRX’s headlights. They are only willing to reimburse after repairs are done which could cost the customer up to 1,600.00. So my question next was what if the customer cannot afford the expense upfront? GM’s answer was, SORRY WE CANNOT HELP YOU....I cannot explain how taken advantage of I felt, Shame on you GM. You acknowledge upfront the problem is moisture related issues causing headlights that you placed in these vehicle to fail but you will only reimburse those who can afford to have them fixed first on their own if then.... During research I read reviews where some people have been waiting months to get their money back. I am not sure what is going to happen in my case but for anyone reading this review please beware. It is unacceptable how GM treats its customers and their their regard for customer safety. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from them!
Consumer alert: If you buy a new Cadillac there will be some GM locations that will not work on Warranty items. I was told today by Cadillac, the hopes of going full electric by 2025 and because of this, some GM dealerships are not required to work on Cadillacs if it is covered by warranty. I was not told this before buying and actually was told that any GM dealership would accept the Cadillac. The nearest Cadillac dealership is over 40 miles one way.
I purchased a preowned 2006 Cadillac CTS 1 week ago and two days later with my new expensive car, the car barely accelerated from a stop. I was almost t-boned 3 times already. My gas mileage is terrible due to the car not shifting out of 4th gear. No 5th. I have to floor the pedal just to creep up to speed, then the car wont shift so it runs high RPMs burning gas. I have read numerous things about this car shutting off, starting on fire, extensive repairs OMG! It is currently under recall for an ignition switch that just shuts off, this disables, brakes, steering, oh yeah and the air bags! Great! Visited two different GM dealerships who showed no concern or offered anything but expensive diagnostic fees. Never mind that I might not love looking enough to make the appointment in the defective POS that Ive just saddled myself with! The car only has 56k miles on it. I paid 15 grand for it and have a large monthly payment. I own an import (German) with 157000 miles it and it runs like a top and I own it. Guess which car I drive! Thank you Audi for being everything GM is not. My advice finance companies and banks should stop providing financing for this entire GM line since once you are Dumb enough to own one you cant give it away. If no one can finance one people would still getting ripped off and maybe GM would start to build a quality product and back it! And the finance companies and banks would stop going out with a repo company and picking them up. That is where mine will end up going. No one can offer a solution on what is wrong! So it can sit and rot until they come get it and my credit will suck and the bank will lose money. In the end, the crooks at GM got paid so what do they care! Listen up banks - avoid GM car financing like the plague, especially the Cadillac CTS!
I bought a 2005 Cadillac CTS. I was having to constantly put oil in it. I changed it every 3000 miles. I went to visit my dad in Iowa. During the first four hours, we had to add 4 quarts of oil to the car. Then 20 minutes from our destination, we hear a pop. The car engine dies. No brakes while driving 70 miles an hour. Thank God no one got hurt or died. We had it towed to the car repair shop. They said the engine is shot and I needed a new one. Upon researching we find out through numerous blogs that this is a constant problem with the CTS for this year, happened to numerous people and yet Cadillac does nothing to warn people or to repair the issues. What are they waiting for, people to die? Someone needs to do something about this. They should not be allowed to charge you a ton of money for their elite cars that have issues, get complaints, but yet do nothing about it.
We have enjoyed our Cadillac SRX, but have the headlight fogging issue. We were out of the country when they issued the recall but missed it when we came back. They stated basically that we were out of luck. Earlier this year they offered $200 towards a $1200 repair bill to replace both headlight assemblies. We cant see with the headlights on low beam and have to place them on high beam. In checking with Cadillac today they are standing by their offer. We will not buy another Cadillac and will be telling anyone we encounter that is looking to purchase a luxury car to stay away from Cadillac because of their lack of support. I have had much better success from Lexus and Ford with issues like this. I will stay with these brands.
Bought my 2013 SRX off the showroom floor. Love it, my wife drives it to work and it is garage keep. After 30,000 had to have a new battery. When the warranty ran out in July 2017, the next month the CUE system locked up and the dealer wanted 1400.00 to replace it. Then I argue and beg that I am only two months out of warranty, then they replace it for 325.00. So I did some research and found the company that makes the CUE system (Infotainment) and contacted customer service who gave me a additional warranty on the system til 2022 or 123,000 miles. Now my heated seats do not work, I am a retired GM employee of 36 years and getting disgusted with this car. I drive a 2000 Cadillac STS 97,000 miles six CD changer still works along with the radio and the heated seats are hot. All four.Updated on 01/09/2018: As stated in my previous review, I purchased this 2013 SRX off the showroom floor. And now after 50,322 miles, garage kept it is falling apart. At 30,000 new battery, 48,000 replace CUE system and now the heated seats do not work.at 50,322 miles. The Cadillac dealer wants 900.00 dollars to fix. The passenger side worked the night before I took it to the dealer (Delaware Cadillac) and now neither works. Initially the service advisor told me 1600.00, but after discussing the problem with GM, they decided to pay 50%. If they are having a problem with the heated seats it should be fully covered. I am not happy as being a GM employee of 36 years. Maybe time for a change.
Just purchased a 2017 XT5 after a long and thorough process considering multiple alternatives. This is a very smooth, powerful and classy ride. Glad to see this level of quality in an American made product!
The XT4 is a great car. I bought my 2019 just recently and took a shake down trip to Dallas from Houston to see if there were any kinks in the car. It performed splendidly on the trip. I drove it 80 to 85 mph and it felt smooth and powerful. The only thing that happened and the reason for the low review score was that the car tried to kill me. I got some open road and floored the accelerator and to my surprise the pedal stuck to the floor. The turbo had kicked in and I was flying down the road. I shifted into neutral but the engine was revved all the way. Luckily I was able to take the side of my foot and manipulated the pedal back up to where its starting position. I said it must be a fluke so I did it again and I had the same outcome and same fix. I road on back into Houston with no other issues but I also wasnt going to floor the car again till I could look at the problem in day light. The next morning I found that the mud mats that came with the car was not installed in the two plastic holders and I initially thought the car was I had taken the car to had not popped them in properly but I discovered that Cadillac had left the carpeted floor mat in place under the mud mat. I didnt even know there was a mat under there. There is no way to get 2 mats to pop onto the two plastic holders so it was really Cadillac (the dealers) fault. This is a warning to anyone who has those hard mud mats to make sure they cant slide forward and interfere with the accelerator it could be disastrous.
Cadillac is a great vehicle that have great potential for upgrades and personalization. I like how well the vehicle drives uphill and downhill and I like the controls in the console which I can easily push the button. The passenger side of this vehicle is great and impressive. Its a great car and I cannot wait to give it a drive again. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.
I bought my 2013 SRX used at a reputable dealership in August 2016. It had 39,000 miles, one owner, and a clean Carfax. I was in love! During the signing of paperwork, the finance manager asked me about the extended warranty and explained to me that I might want it because it was already used, but my choice of course. I am SOOO glad I took it because it has saved me twice already! In August 2017, I had to extensive work done to the transmission. I was without my car for 2 weeks while that problem was solved. In February 2018, just 6 months later, I was on my way out of town. I pulled out from a stoplight, accelerated to 45 and all heck broke loose. I heard a bang and felt like I had run over something. Every light on the instrument panel turned on, I lost power steering, brakes, and the engine was knocking. I managed to steer it to a median where it completely died on me. I called OnStar, got it towed to the dealership, and waited to hear what was wrong. Four days later, I am told that it dropped a valve and I would need a whole new engine. It only has 54,000 miles!!! Is this the kind of shotty product that Cadillac is putting out now? I am beyond frustrated! If it wasnt for the additional warranty that I purchased, I would be without a car because I couldnt afford the cost of a new engine. I do not understand how a company that is supposed to have this great reputation is now putting out vehicles of such poor quality. The customer service with Cadillac is awful as well. You cant get anyone to answer a question in a straightforward way. This was my first and last Cadillac. I love the car, but I cannot have this stress or an unreliable vehicle transporting my family.
I purchased my 2013 ATS in 2013 and had nothing but trouble with my cue system, blinking off and on and now it totally went, frozen up, and am not paying $1500.00 to have a known problem by G.M. TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. This was my first Cadillac and my last, my next new vehicle which will be in one year will be a KIA.
I like the models that this brand provides. Their cars are easy to drive and take on the road to new places. I also like the many features that the Cadillac has and it makes for a really great driving experience. Id definitely recommend this brand to anyone who may have questions about it. The appearance of this vehicle is like no other. I like the current style of my own Cadillac. It is very brilliant and amazing to look at especially when its fresh and cleaned. But I really would like a more sporty look to should off on the road.I also like the various upgrades of the vehicle and the satellite radio and Beats studio built in speakers. This car is unlike any other car I have personally driven. The personalization that I got to add made my vehicle unique to me. The passenger capacity is spacious and I love the extra room. I have the SUV so I can pick all my few friends and go hang out somewhere. I can put the seat back and the person sitting behind me still has room to breathe. Its truly amazing. I am very happy with everything about this vehicle.
2012 CTS Bought from Crest Cadillac in Hoover, Al. Bought car new off lot Nov. 2012. Within 3 months engine light on. Took to dealer said nothing was wrong. Another month light came on again. Took back said something with injectors. Was not sure. I think they replaced one. Car hesitates, the RPMs rev up to 4K when Im going downhill or even going around 45 MPH. While sitting still, rpm goes from 1 to 0 constantly and the air stops cooling at same time. I have taken back so many times I have lost count. I ask before 50K warranty went out to put on diagnostic. They said nothing was wrong with it, no reason to. Still doing same thing. I have been called a liar and made fun of. When I pull up, I am treated like I am there for nothing. My car is a LEMON and I am not going to stop till something is done about it. This is the first new car I have ever bought. I thought it would be the last due to the reputation and supposed quality of a Cadillac. If I ever get out of this car, I will NEVER buy another Cadillac. I have contacted a lawyer and I do want something done. I was told that if the car computer doesnt say it happened, it didnt happen (Wow, a manmade computer). I need someone to contact me so that I can get info on who to speak with about car asap.
The Cadillac SUV is the biggest on the market, and the room is outstanding for a large family or if you have to ride with a team or group. There is also no need to update this SUV because it has everything you want in a SUV. It is great on and off the road, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes big trucks .For the price, you cant beat it. It is the best for the money. And for resale, it is the best you can have.
For a top end luxury car, this vehicle had numerous problems, including drivetrain, cosmetics, and more. Additionally, value decreased rapidly. A positive, Cadillac did repair everything, no questions asked, while under warranty.
Ignition switch popped in 2013. I paid over $500.00 for repair. Is GM liable for mine? The dealer repaired it. It had to be replaced.
I had a superior buying experience with Cadillac. They are best in class. They have roomy vehicles for multiple passengers to ride in absolute comfort. They offer the right amount of vehicles to chose from. Ranging from traditional and luxury vehicles for everyone and some of the most eye-catching designs on the road. They also offer one of the largest customizable selections in the market, everything from GPS to the color of your interior and exterior. They make a vehicle for everyone.
MY CUE screen suffer from a known problem in some of the SRX and other models. Brought the car under warranty still to the dealer who recognize that the screen is freeze (not working) in the lower center part of the screen and they said it might take 3 weeks to get the part... its 2 month later without any answers and specific date for the part to show up?! I contact GM customer service and end up with nothing but same words and promises like the dealer. Im driving without navigation for 2 month already and who knows how long until this part will show up. My car is 2013 SRX with 50k mileage (been at the dealer before the warranty expire for that issue). Im in the point where Im looking for a new car as I usually does every 3 years and if for a minute I was considering Cadillac then after that hell NO. There is no way I buy Cadillac or GM to find out that they have NO PARTS for something they knew for awhile now. Very disappointment and even considering to sue.
2001 Cadillac Seville STS 4 dr - I bought a used 2001 STS in approx 2010 with 96,000 miles on it. I’m a diehard GM man, my father was and my son is. I own 4 GMs at the moment. I’ve been reading these complaint issues, and as much as feel for the people writing them, my car has been running perfectly. I’ve replaced the HUD light as soon as I bought knowing it needed. Later, I replaced the AC Fan motor with an OEM unit and a new battery again OEM just recently as the vehicle had remained in a car storage unit for a year here in Ft. Lauderdale. The car does have a vibration between 64 and 72 MPH and seems to perform best at 80 MPH including best MPG. I love my Cadillac and maintain it to like new showroom condition. I need to replace the turn signal flasher at the moment, but just consumable items. I also noticed the relay for the starter is somewhat discolored due to heat and will replace it before anything happens.
I purchased my 2013 Cadillac SRX Luxury 14 months ago, it was a one owner car and was purchased at dealership that originally sold it. I purchased an extended warranty for 2500. About 1 week ago my infotainment in my car froze, I am unable to use navigation or access anything in the main cue. Well I called the dealership and they told me to bring it in. I brought it in and the girl working there said it had to be replaced. She called the extended warranty and was told that the warranty did not cover the radio. I was upset to say the least. 1200 for a new cue to be put in plus labor. I told the dealership that the cue was more than a radio, it is the whole center that controls radio, satellite, GPS, navigation, weather, AC controls, etc. I told the guy at the dealership that I had down my research prior to coming in and that the infotainment cue in all models of Cadillac have had issues like mine since 2013. In all models CTS, SRX, Escalade and Crossovers. I think Cadillac should be responsible for fixing these since without that feature in my car it is not a luxury model.
I bought a 2014 Cadillac in early 2017, fresh off of a 2 year lease with just under 17,000 miles on it. It was my dream to own a Cadillac so I finally took the plunge. Ive lovingly babied it, its literally been used only for trips as I work from home. 18 months later, the CUE is out at a cost of $1500 and something about some hub things that wear out in the front causing the car to sound like it is revving all the time. Total cost to get my barely 3 year old car with 37000 miles on it fixed? $2800. Im getting it fixed and going to trade it in on a Kia. Sorry Cadillac, my family has been GM for 4 generations, but Im done. I wish I had read the reviews on the CUEs and GMs lack of response to their failure before my purchase.
I have owned Cadillacs my whole life, used to be a good car back in the day, Now I think they are made in China. In my yard I have now a 2001 DTS, a 2006 DTS, a 2008 DTS and my latest a 2013 SRX4. I bought this car at TnT moros in Lumberton NC with 77k miles, bought it on a Saturday in Feb and on Monday the cue went out. Since then it has started to spiderweb so you cannot even read it. I have been a loyal Cadillac owner for over 50 years but I am done now. I will start looking for an Acura. Anyone interested in my Cadillac collection, let me know. I will sell them all very cheap.
Do not ever buy a Cadillac. I am on my second SRX, the first was totaled and was the standard model 2011. I upgraded to a 2015 and was excited about the luxury features. Heritage Cadillac in Cobb County sold me a vehicle with a frozen CUE screen and luckily I caught it and they replaced it immediately the day after I drove it off the lot. Then I slowly realized my headlights werent working properly over the following months. They seemed too dim but they were on. Finally after the second time somebody almost hit me at night I knew something was amiss. I googled and sure enough, lawsuits and complaints! I will never buy another GM car and I am beyond disgusted that a dealership would knowingly sell me a car with faulty parts without disclosing the information beforehand! I cannot WAIT to get in on this headlight class action lawsuit! Buyer Beware! Once GM agrees to pay for these lights Im getting them fixed and trading it in for a Mercedes!
I purchased a 2012 Cadillac SRX about 8 months ago. The lift arms that keep the back hatch up both had to be replaced. I have had an ongoing intermittent problem with the display being static or shutting completely off. The vehicle is having an idle problem when the vehicle is stopped and when accelerating. When I expressed my frustration to the service manager, he told me, Well, GM makes the car; we have nothing to do with that. I responded that they sold me the car. I want the vehicle fixed and I dont want to bring the car in for a third time for the same problem.
I am a victim of bad work performed on my vehicle by the service department, unethical car service practices and unheard-of customer resolution at Suburban Cadillac Plymouth, 40475 Ann Arbor Rd., Plymouth MI. I took my car in for service on 6/2/17 and the dealership had my car for over 2 months which caused me great concern. I researched the Timing Change job that was being done and learned it was a very tedious job. When I finally received my vehicle, cost $3111.01 which my warranty covered 100% but $750.00 was rolled over to me due to dealership not accepting $70 per hour labor cost and I had to make up difference. The next day while heading to work I noticed my XM Satellite radio wasn’t working. I called my Cadillac representative, ** to report the issue. He stated, “I’m sorry to hear that but that has nothing to do with the work that was done on your car and there are no loaner cars available at the time, you can schedule a loaner car but know this will be a separate issue/charge.” I explained these things were working prior to car repair and please have techs go over their work. It could have been the way they re-assembled things back together that obviously effected something else. My rep ** states to bring it in but understand no dealership responsibility and expect new charges.Upon arrival I ask to speak with the service director, **. He appeared friendly and sympathetic to what had happened to my car but agreed with his rep, **. When I ask ** to speak with someone higher up he declined and stated he is the only one that can assist. I insisted and he left the office briefly and returned with a business card of a manager under him. I was insulted and felt disrespected with the treatment of the team working together against me, the customer. He had me sign papers agreeing to check the vehicle for 130.00 fee. He gave me a loaner car and said, “Have a nice day. We will call you.”I received the call maybe a week and half later with ** asking for permission for a tech to drive my car home to ensure engine light doesn’t come back on. It is determined pass 50 miles, I gave consent. The next week ** called to say they have an estimate for my car. “The radio needs replacing cost $1600.00 because Sirius Radio stated the issue is not on their end, and by the way, while your car was being test driven something pertaining to the brakes collapsed and that will cost you $700, your total bill $2500.00 warranty doesn’t cover nor the dealership. The remainder covers the engine light and lockout issue. Let us know how you would like to proceed.”At this point I felt raped by these unheard-of business practices and called in later in an effort to reach a higher up. I left several messages on ** phone but received no call back. I was passed around the dealership and sent to voicemails with no return calls after leaving a couple messages. Much happened in between that revealed their dishonesty and how they worked together to ensure I didn’t speak with someone in authority to attend to this matter.I picked my car up today 10/3/17 paying 751.00 for the brake collapsed incident that happened while at dealership. Of course, my satellite radio still not functioning due to me declining to pay 1600.00 for a problem that occurred with them working on my car. And my computer system is now out of whack; voice commands no longer working, cd player not working, sound system poor sounding. I could have taken my car to a non-Cadillac qualified mechanic but felt Cadillac was top of line service. I am sick about the condition my car is now in. A couple of similar unethical instances happened to me within the past 2 years but were resolved satisfactorily via escalation so I continued to do business with this location but with this last instance and seeing this is a trend and now their normal practices, it’s clear I need to get the attention of someone who cares about the bottom line of the company. What Im asking for is the dealership take ownership for their work which is the right thing to do -- refund my money for the incident that occurred while they had my car (mechanic took my car home) and put my car back in the condition it arrived in, working satellite radio (which I’m paying monthly services for) and reset or adjust my computer system. Voice commands no longer work. All inside controls and functions were working perfectly prior to the major repair done on my vehicle. The work they performed had nothing to do with these issues but obviously the way they reassembled my vehicle affected these things. They tore my engine down; kept my car 2 1/2 months, something obviously went wrong.Suburban Cadillac is using dealership mechanical lingo and rhetoric to mask what really happened and it is extremely frustrating that they have charged me 3111.00 plus 750.00 within 30-days to return my car to me out of whack and satellite radio not working. The radio is fine but the XM Satellite whom I’m paying monthly subscription is no longer working after car pickup. I filed a complaint with GM website, mailed a letter to corporate and spoke with someone finally at GM Customer Care on 10/17/17. They stated they spoke with Suburban Cadillac and must believe the experts and it’s nothing they can do. She was young and appeared insincere and indifferent to what had happened to me. She spoke very fast as if reading from a script and closed the matter. So now I’m reaching out to Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General because the dealership has taken my money and left my vehicle with problems and no repair shop wants to go behind their work. Respectfully, Ripped-Off Customer.
Radio sucks for a 2015 bought brand new expensive Cadillac!!! Am in a general motors family!! After 3 years guess what radio starts beeping, flashing, changing stations by itself. Took to dealer they say yep the radio is bad and it will cost you $1500 to get a new one! Really? Seriously? A 50k car with a radio that last for 3 years! Great job General Motors!
I have been really happy with this car make and model (Cadillac SRX). Performance is wonderful, it is great on fuel economy and the price we got it for is superb. Also, the body style is sleek and modern and is a very pretty car that drives like a luxury Sedan more so than a Crossover vehicle. However, since purchasing there have been a few minor maintenance hiccups. Nevertheless, I love this car the most of all cars I have ever owned.
I bought a new 2011 Escalade ESV. The rims are rusting and flaking, and the chrome trim package is rusting. Cadillac and the dealership’s response is that its from chemicals put on the road and its not their problem. My Escalade never is dirty. When I drive on snowy roads, its washed immediately. In 45 years of owning vehicles, Ive never had a vehicle with rust problems. I bought an $82,000 Escalade. I have rust issues and I have lived in snow country all my life so I know all about chemicals on the roads. This is my last Cadillac. Dont make the same mistake I did. Stay away from Cadillac. I thought that at least Cadillac would come back with an offer to replace rusting rims and trim at their cost or a discounted price. They made no attempt to rectify the problem. Cadillac customer service very poor and Cadillac is not concerned about your problems.
Our government should have gone after GM for allowing them to produce an engine that has leaked thousands of gallons of oil on our nations highways. This engine is an inferior design & GM should have been held responsible. This is a common problem with all GM Northstar oil leaking Engines and there was never a recall. GM never attempted to correct the oil leak problem. When it was new the sticker price on my 1996 Cadillac was approx $45,000. My 1997 Ford Explorer went for approx $23,000 & it doesnt leak a drop of oil. Shame on you General Motors!!!
Catera - sporty luxury Coupe. Like the illegitimate child of a Cadillac and a Corvette. Escalade - g ride suv. Not really for toting kids or soccer games. Status. ATS-V sedan - luxury sedan. Like a DeVille. For older people who still have some style. But honestly, the outside appearance isnt that different or distinctive anymore. It Looks like any other car on the road. Nice paint job and interior though. On star, leather everything, sound system, rims are offered as personalization options and Lots of paint colors and Lots of engine options, too. They all offer good legroom. With the suvs you can fit a small army in there. It has good headroom for very tall people though the 2 doors are kind of a pain to get out of the backseat.
I have a 2015 XTS and the crackling in the left and right corners of the Cue screen is the least of the problem, now my radio is selecting its own stations, is flipping from media to radio on its own, as well as all of the station data is racing across the screen to the left continuously. Today, the local Dale Earnhardt GM Dealer said that it was becoming a common problem, the unit was on back-order until the end of September (it is now the middle of August) and will cost $1,475.12 to replace. This is my third and last Cadillac nor will I recommend that any of my friends buy Cadillac. The manufacturer should not place sub-par components in a $60K vehicle.
I purchased a 2004 Cadillac SRX with 98000 miles on it! It has no AC and since Ive had it Ive had nothing but problems. I check the computer and ran my codes and it came back for massive air flow sensor, throttle body position sensor, and traction control sensor. I replaced everything but the traction control sensor and Im still having the same problem! It has a rough idle from time to time where the motor will say reduced engine power and the car will rough idle and cut off so then I would have to put it in neutral or stop or park and turn the car off and turn it back on. Traffic control Would go off all but the check engine light will still be on. Sometime to check engine light will stay off and a run just fine but then when Im traveling down the road both lights Would come on and the car Would shut off. Really really really dangerous. Can anybody tell me what the problem is with the car????
I have had the same issues as all other owners with the CUE screen freezing up, as you run out of the warranty. Starts off as a small area wont work and then all of a sudden the screen is frozen and nothing you touch on it responds. Hard reset doesnt work and so on. GM knows about the issue and will not issue any recalls on them. Cadillac owners are left to fend for themselves, and costly bills to rectify the issue.
2000 Cadillac Deville Delegance - Purchased the car in 2005 with 67K miles on it. I wanted a big car to be comfortable sitting in traffic. The Car was a Florida car brought up to NYC for trade-in on a Toyota Avalon. The dealer indicated the car had all service records from the date of purchase, so i bought the car. It was a REALLY nice car to drive, big beautiful bench seats, lots of power and great on gas. I averaged 25MPG which in a cruiser was something unheard of at the time. But at about 75K miles, all the beauty was left behind. The car ended up with overheating issues, i brought it to Cadillac who indicated that this was a known issue on the Deville and DHS of those years, that the NorthStar had issues with the head studs sealing incorrectly and leaking. They told me that the engine would need to be replaced, because of the design flaw that caused the engine head to warp (Why no recall?). I ended up buying a NHRA approved Dragster Radiator and cooling fan and wired it up to a toggle switch, after checking with multiple forums, it turns out that this is NOT the case, it is a flaw in the cooling system, that if caught early enough can be corrected. This worked for the remainder of the life of the car, but in that time, I replaced: All power window motors with Toyota Camry motors, which lasted the length of the car, replaced the thermostat with a wide open version that would constantly circulate the coolant. Replaced the stereo, as it shorted out, due to water leaking into the car when it rained, which used to set the alarm off while driving in the rain. Replaced the Torque converter with a high performance one from an LT1 Vette. And for kicks after the exhaust rotted off put two flowmasters on it. While it was a nice looking car, it died at 103K miles with a fiery death due to an electrical fire from water leaking into the car from under the windshield onto the electronic instrument cluster. (Ironically after the fire my fans and radiator still worked) Guess I wire better than GM. My complaint with GM is why they cant build cars better? I have had Toyotas go 400K+ miles with only 1-2k dollars of actual maintenance needed for the life of the car. I cant understand why people keep buying them. I for one would buy another Cadillac Deville, but only as a weekend tinker project, or possibly a demo derby car, since fire typically gets the crowd roaring!
My car was Deville and it has the seat warmer, satellite radio, Bose music system. The car is shaped like a torpedo. It flow seamlessly down the road. It had a standard Northstar motor which provided excellent fuel savings. Its gas mileage was comparable to smaller cars. The paint job was Canadian Royal Blue in which some thought looked like deep purple. I am a pretty large guy, but never did I feel cramped or stuck in my Cadillac and it had room for 7 people. It also had a moon roof in which I really enjoyed opening day or night.
Cadillacs are the brand of many centuries, with lots of power, stability, accommodation, etc. Cadillac has so many models I cant even name, but they have great cars (selections) to choose from. Various upgrades of the Cadillac brands vary from which make and model you choose to drive, or maybe even just test drive, cause when you step foot into one, then the adrenaline rush varies by what you would want in any brand of this great, longtime brand, with lots of media speculation. The brands passenger capacity has the most capacity in the great Cadillac Escalade, so it all varies with the model you would ask for, you have to know what you want in this great company of cars, so the choice is yours, SUV or regular. The distinct appearance of a Cadillac goes to show you quality arithmetic, in every make and model of a Cadillac, especially Cadillac CTSs, in which I believe is 2015s best model on Cadillacs behalf... so there you have it--integrity with just about any Cadillac model, new or old. So go out and buy a new or used model today.
I love taking my car on road trips. Its the smoothest ride youll ever have! They have a large variety of colors, large variety of styles. Sleek, smooth, classy luxury. The backseat is huge! My family is more than comfortable and they can watch their devices comfortably with outlets back there. With cup holder too, but nothing compromises the roomy interior. Extra features make sure you are always comfortable. The seat adjustments and electronic features seem way ahead of time. I had the option for upgrades! My dashboard has really cool features, plus I can have roadside assistance if needed (which Ive not used yet). I highly recommend
Beware New Purchasers for GM Manufacturing of Cadillacs. We purchased our new CT5 in 2020. Our brakes started squealing from day one after driving it off the lot. Going on 2 years now and the brakes on the car continue to squeak so loud it is irritating! We sound like we are driving a school bus and it is so embarrassing as people stare at us everyday. We have taken it to the FWB dealership 3 times and each time we’re told cannot duplicate. The last time I brought videos and FWB did submit them to Cadillac customer care and the engineer stated it was normal operations? The reason it is normal is because GM has changed the composite material to save money on brake pads. Now you get squeaking brakes with your new car purchase!I contacted Cadillac customer care and was advised to get a second opinion. I took the car to the Pensacola dealer and got the same result and explanation. We know it is not the dealers fault that GM will not support their product! Nevertheless, the service departments are taking the negative hit for GM’s lack of customer satisfaction. Only after I would not give high marks did I start receiving calls from Cadillac pretending to care and gathering the same information time and time again with the promise of a call from a supervisor. The call never came! I certainly did not want to post this but GM simply does not care about the purchaser of their product once you have purchased. I have driven GM autos for 43 years but never again after this. All I want is my brakes to stop squeaking and GM is too cheap to even allow a replacement set to be put on. Maybe because squeaking breaks are now normal operations for GM autos now as stated by the GM engineer. I say replace them and let’s see. But again I am just your average car buyer not anyone with influence to be treated fairly by GM.
They offer a Coupe which is a two door, a sedan which is a four door, A mini SUV which is large enough for about 5 or 6 riders comfortably and Also a SUV which can normally hold 8-10 passengers comfortably. The car just has a smooth appearance. It just rides good and looks good. It comes with a standard radio that allows you to pre-set up to 10 stations and even has very good speakers. It also allows you to preset up to 2 drivers settings that automatically sets the seat to your comfort. Also, they have heated seat and the best a.c and heat you can ask for and there is an automatic set control to move forwards and backwards.
My wife and I recently rented a 2017 Cadillac XTS. We wanted to try it out before we bought one. Immediately after starting out we tried to use the CUE system and discovered that it is dangerous to use as it is totally distracting and takes your eyes off the road. It is very difficult to use the controls and activate them. I tried to plug my iPod in and it immediately froze up the system. It was extremely difficult to activate the A/C, heating and radio, stereo controls. This system is a complete failure and a deathtrap as it is dangerous to use. I hear as well that they are very prone to failure and not covered under the radio type warranty. What a failure for a car like a Cadillac where a person lays out high multi thousands of dollars. Cadillac needs to dump this system and replace it with one that this car should have. How disappointing. The car itself had adequate power but rode no better, braked no better or did it handle on curves and straight a ways any better than my 2010 Terrain. The seats were hard and uncomfortable on a long trip. As well the transmission did not do anything better than my 2010 Terrain. I expected a lot lot more from a Cadillac especially for the asking price but the car and the company did not deliver. Cadillac is asking way to much for this car and it does not deliver In conclusion we will not be buying any Cadillac of any kind and have decided to go with an Audi. We DO NOT recommend a Cadillac of any kind to any one.
I have had my 2014 Cadillac SRX for 15 months. It has been in the shop for major repairs 3 times in that time and the car only has 24,000 miles. I have been communicating with the Cadillac Corp 800 # and have been treated in a way that shows I am not valued as a customer, even after owning 5 Cadillacs over the years! I was not even allowed to speak with a supervisor and was told a supervisor would call me when it was convenient for them! I became so frustrated, I finally called an attorney. Do not think that buying a luxury car will provide you with luxury customer service.
The XTS Sedan is a big car that handles really well. It was a very nice ride for a short trip down the road or to a family member a few states away. Five people can sit comfortably, and theres good trunk space to take all their stuff. Lots of leg room and the seats were nice to sit in even for long periods of time. It has very nice interior and up to date technology. The outside was very casual and not too flashy so it didnt draw too much attention. I had no trouble getting them to customize the car with upgraded stereo, 20 inch rim color of my choice. They really let you build your own.
The CTS is mid sized sedan. Only had 12,000 miles on it at the time of purchase. The lease came with bumper to bumper warranty for 100,000 miles. Everything from the paint job to the interior was beautiful. It has Italian leather seats with full sunroof. While stylish, it lacks the leg room we all keep hoping for year after year. Hopefully engineers will figure this one out. Its been long overdue for such a beautiful car. Dealership assisted in the entire process making the buying experience their top priority. They were easy to talk to and understand. Personalized options are available upon request. Full detail car wash and oil change at dealership.
I have owned my 2006 DTS for 3 years. I bought it used with 51,000 miles. It now has 142,000. The car is very comfortable to drive and ride in. I love all of the luxury features such as automatic high beams, memory seats, remote start, and XM radio. I had a roomy trunk and quiet interior. It gets between 21 and 23 mpg pretty consistently on regular unleaded. What I dont like about it is how often it needs repairs. Around 70,000 miles, I had to have the entire front suspension system essentially rebuilt, as tie rods, ball joints, and struts were worn out. I developed several oil leaks, and I have stopped trying to get those fixed. Changing front turn signal bulbs and headlights requires the front bumper be removed. Parts seem expensive. I plan to keep it for another couple of years. I doubt that I will be replacing it with another Cadillac.
I purchased a 2006 Cadillac CTS in May 2010. Since the purchase, I have had several car repairs resulting in thousands of dollars. I make sure that I receive regular oil changes and follow recommendations for Mobil 1 oil only. I have to purchase approximately 6 to 8 quarts of the oil to add to my engine between oil changes. I had my mechanic assess the vehicle and there are no leaks. The car simply drinks oil. This is quite an expense since an oil change is approximately $100 and a quart of Mobil 1 oil is $10 a quart. This is simply unacceptable. I have read many complaints where people have lost their engines over oil consumption. Its simply not fair to the consumer to have to bear this expense for a product that is supposed to be trusted. In addition to this, I am putting brakes on my vehicle (front and back) twice a year. This is unheard of. There needs to be some accountability and responsibility for the makers of this vehicle.
I purchased a 2013 Cadillac ATS in November 2012 and it has been in the shop twice since I purchased the vehicle. The first time was for four (4) days and the second time for 11 days. The service department has informed me on both occasions that they found the problem and are fixing it, but this time what they thought was the problem and fixed was not the problem. They got another part in hopes of resolving the situation.
There are lots of Cadillac models. However I was only shown large models and SUVs. There was a nice large car, a few Coupes and the Escalade, which is an SUV and what I choose. There were some models with wi-fi and rear mounted cameras so that a person can see whats behind them as they back up. There were some with GPS and SiriusXM satellite radio, leather interior and natural wood grain panels. Then I was able upgrade to get a more durable stitching so that the seats would last longer, a rear facing camera, wi-fi and an extra row of seats in the back that is removable. The original model was capable of seating 6 comfortably. I opted for the removable back row because I shop at Sams and usually need the extra room.
My Cadillac has been a large amount of annoyance due to constant breakdowns due to poor quality and dealer service. As a Senior Citizen I would not recommend this automobile to anyone as it is not dependable and most likely will get you to your destination. I have written Cadillac Motors, I have called them, the go ho-hum and go back to screw another customer. Walmart has much better customer service. My case number is **.
I really like this brand because of how many vehicles there are. It looks amazing, slender and well built. I like all of the features this brand has. There are a lot of upgrades for this brand and I can make it one of the coolest cars ever. I can personalize it any way I can. It can fit a lot of people in this car, my entire family. I just love this brand of car for its passenger capacity.
We bought this 2004 Cadillac CTS and have put more money in this car than we have put in bills. The car is not new but in fairly good condition or so we thought. It seems like every time we fix one thing, something else happens. We first had the transmission rebuilt, brake hose replaced because it sat for a long time. Now the key gets stuck in the ignition. We have to stick something in the steering wheel column to get it out and we cant tell where the gas needle is on the odometer. Can someone offer some help or is it time for a new car?
I purchased my first Cadillac (2015 SRX with approximately 20,000 miles) in December 2016. The CUE system was replaced in January 2017. Also in January 2017, 2 emissions related sensors had to be replaced. Later in 2017, another sensor had to be replaced. In October 2018, both front end wheel bearings and windshield washer sprayer had to be replaced at about 58,000 miles. In January 2019, the purge solenoid thingie had to be replaced at about 65,000 miles -- a recall that wasnt officially classified as a recall. In May 2019, my car wouldnt start as if the fairly new battery was dead. Dealer ran a diagnostic check. No problems were detected. Now at almost 72,000 miles, the CUE system is malfunctioning again. I plan for this to be my last Cadillac. I am now shopping for a Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan, Honda or any other dependable brand to replace this Cadillac lemon.
I bought a new 2017 Cadillac XT5. I had a problem with the cruise control. It took 4 visits to the maintenance department before they fixed the problem. I had to take my Cadillac in because the fuel gauge would not work properly. I simply washed my xt5 and somehow it caused the door locks to not work. It cost me $575 to get it fixed. I called the corporate office seeking a refund and give Cadillac a chance to stand by their product but they refused. So, if you want to take a chance and buy a Cadillac....good luck.
My 2020 XT5 is fully equipped with every option available. I find everything easy to operate and very functional. Ive owned Mercedes and BMW, but overall prefer the XT5. Dont really care for the V6/V4 function...Creates a dragging vibration in the V4 mode. Understand Cadillac is going full electric in the near future, so no more Cadillacs for me. Youll be lucky to sell 5% of what you sell now. Only two dealers in my state are going to hang on...The rest have taken the buyout...That should tell you something. What are you thinking? Guess Ill go back to Mercedes. See ya...
My car has a Vin number that is described in the service campaign #99086. I have a blown head gasket and leaking coolant in the described campaign. Note none of the vin numbers described in the campaign have had formal recalls issued. My Vin numbers last 8 digits **. I have a work bench work history on my car from Cadillac. The campaign was issued in 2002. My car was never corrected. Miles on car is less than 80k. Northstar engine, Local Cadillac dealership in Bentonville, Arkansas states since no formal recall on my vin number they must get approval from their gm rep. Gm rep has called and denied the repair. I have filed service claim with Cadillac. Please help.
Adding a follow up to my previous post regarding my CTS, the radiator blew the main hose right out of it and took out the transmission lines. The car has less than 60,000 miles, but because the warranty is up, Cadillac refused to accept responsibility for poor quality and a defect in the radiator. I paid $1,225.00 to fix the problem and put only 300 miles on the car before it was leaking transmission fluid. The GM garage sent a wrecker after the car (all the new parts were under warranty) and the problem they found was a defective new radiator. Everything needed to be replaced again! Interesting that this genuine GM part was defective, but Cadillac refuses to accept responsibility for the first one. I have read other consumer reports of the same thing happening to other CTSs. How many does it take for a recall to be issued and for Cadillac to acknowledge the problem?
Just bought a 2015 ATS. Same crap as everybody else. Cadillac CUE freezes and it beeps. Chevy did a update and by the next day it was freezing up again. They told me if it happens again it will be 1500.00 dollars. And their 3 month warranty wont cover it. Now what ? I guess trade it in on another sucker to deal with.
There are a lot of different models but I prefer the suv. It a better ride and its not expensive as some may think. It has everything I need. Also, the features are awesome. The entertainment system is the best Ive ever had. The dvd play has great picture quality. The interior is excellent / and the heated seats come in handy during the winter months. Passenger capacity is good too. I dont have but one child and she loves the fact that she has all the backseat room to herself. The driver side is very comfortable and roomy as well. There are many differents upgrades and personal options which is the package I brought. The body model is great but I dont like the newer models body style.
I love Cadillac and the style, innovation, how it feels to drive. All around class and statement of character. It’s the only car I’ve driven the last 10 years.
This is by far my most favorite vehicle, love this car. Smooth ride, excellent sound system, beautiful style, phenomenal presence, large trunk and prestige while driving. I like the sunroof, leather seats, back up camera, dual zones for heating and cooling, heated seats, the red color and black interior, comfortable seating, roomy, Bose speakers. It is excellent and will purchase again. But I would like cheaper parts as it is too expensive to get repairs done on the vehicle and better vision hard to see surroundings. Also, the lease terms have too few miles included.
2003 cadillac deville - This car is a lemon. I have this car in the auto shop so much they know my name. I have replaced windows, ignition, alternator, etc...... Now my dilemma is whether or not to rebuild the transmission 2200 and something else is wrong for 800 total of 3000 dollars. While I am making my decision I am driving my kids and I around in a 1996 Toyota Camry around. I will never buy a Cadillac again. They look good on the outside but are the ugliest things on the inside. I have not even had this car for 4 years.
I own a 2002 Cadillac Deville. I have had continual problems with all of my automatic windows. Basically, all four windows have broken at least once in the three years I have owned this car. The windows go down, but they will not go up. I have had at least two or three of these windows fail at least two times. I have had one window fail 3 times. The cost of repairing these windows is approximately $300.00 to $400 a piece. I have come to learn (from the Frank ** Service Manager) that this particular is a well known design flaw with the Cadillac Deville. They have seen this issue with many customers on a repeated basis. I think this demonstrated a design problem with this car and has nothing to do with normal wear-and-tear. First, GM should be ashamed of not fixing this issue and having a recall. I would like to get a refund for my latest repair. I have no problem contacting my local FOX TV affiliate in Dallas/FW and make them aware of this issue. They have a reporter that handles issues such as these. I will send you my latest repair bill for $500.00 and then I will sell this car. What a disgrace of a product.
I am disappointed that 3 out the 4 window regulators on my 2004 DeVille needed to be replaced by 2010. This is quality? This is Cadillac. Its very dangerous on the highway when your window slides into the door at 60 to 70mph in inclement weather.
Cadillac has a wide variety of models and selections. Each model included different packages allowing me a selection with items that allowed me to customize my vehicular selection. From color selection combined with interior combinations I was able to find just the right style that pleased both my spouse and I. Coupled with a wide variety of features led to a unique car built just for me. The inside capacity of the sedan offers a very roomy space for my passengers. Both front and back seats are comfortable. The leather seats keep warm in winter and offer a body hugging feeling.
I purchased my SRX 1.5 years ago with 49,000 miles on it. I also purchased a 10 year/ 100,000 mile extended warranty. This car I knew I would have a long time as it had low miles, good car fax, and the extended warranty. The transfer case rear out put shaft seal went out. I was told that I was placed on a national back order list and they did not know when I would get the part, that was 5 months ago. I then called corporate in September to see what they could do.I received a call back from corporate yesterday stating that they no longer make the part and that I am out of luck. I asked if they would cut me a break on trading mine in for a newer one and they stated no and that there was nothing they could do for. I need help!! I have a car payment that I pay every month for this car and cannot even get it fixed. I work every day and have 5 children that I support. What the heck am I suppose to do?! Ive called dismantlers, authorized dealers, regular dealers, searched the net (all placed orders canceled) all over a $15 seal.
I love the variety I get at Cadillac. There are so many products to choose from, and I like that Im given the opportunity to look at and purchase what I WANT. All the appearances and features of the Cadillac brand is amazing. They are so up to speed on the modern looks and technology that I am very impressed. The upgrade and various personalized options is wonderful at Cadillac companies. Im always finding great option to style my car. I have found Cadillac to be especially spacious. Fitting everything I need for all my outings plus the kids! Passenger capacity with these vehicles is amazing.
Cadillac offers the Cadillac Escalade which I love. There are so many different models but love that style. It is the leader in the industry and has great value. It is very stylish and has great value. It is noticed by everyone and makes your status go higher because it runs smooth and looks awesome and is also reliable. They offer various upgrade and you can get radio system, internet or new tires that can be custom. Also can get leather and in different colors and different styles. It has very good room and actually can fit 3 people in front if needed. It also has automatic seats that can recline and easily put on how you would be comfortable in seating.
Recently purchased this as a new car from a local dealer who used it as a courtesy vehicle. It had only 2500 miles and had most of the factory warranty remaining. I am glad I did not pay the new car price and paid at a nearly 40% discount off sticker. This Cadillac defines why discerning luxury car buyers never cross shop Cadillac and laugh at the notion of Cadillac being a luxury brand. This car is rife with rattles, poor fit and finish, low quality materials, the failure that is CUE, clouding headlamps (at 4000 miles), constant headlight malfunction warnings, misfitting panels, steering that seems to have a mind of its own often failing to turn with input or causing the wheel to jerk without input. This is the sorriest excuse for a luxury automobile ever and explains why Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Volvo, Jaguar, and other traditional luxury brand owners will never cross shop a Cadillac.
I had a 2013 Cadillac ATS which I absolutely loved at the beginning. I recently had an issue with my car that had to get towed to a GM dealership where it sat for nearly 3 weeks because they couldnt figure out how to program it. Then I had to get it towed to another GM dealership where it cost me over $1,000 just for the tow. I reached out to Cadillac about this and after 2 weeks they said they can give me a $300 gift card. This Gift Card is only available to a certified GM dealer. WHY the HELL would I buy another vehicle from you when your own technicans cannot program a simple FOB, let along poor client appreciation. Cadillac may used to be Luxury and Client appreciation but not anymore. I would highly recommend another dealer who if there are any issues they will be there to help not push you aside.
Poorest customer service I have ever received. Totally not helpful and not there to meet customers needs or satisfaction. After waiting for my Escalade for 4 months with a issue with the transmission, on the third time around picking my vehicle up the engine blew at 60000 miles 10 miles from the dealership and transmission still not fixed. Four months later vehicle was returned, after a new engine and still has transmission issues, touch screen is bad, cruise control not working and drivers assist warning on. I had to fight for a loaner for warranty work! Which was given a equinox, nowhere in comparison for 3.5 months. Was told by Cadillac was basically my problem to deal w the dealership and I could go rent a vehicle to meet my familys need of a 7 passenger vehicle but would only reimburse 42 dollars a day for a week only.I also was told by one of their customer car advisors that it was basically my problem and if they were to have the same issues she would be in the same shape. Total lie. Payment reimbursement was discussed then denied after I had to do all the grunt work to get the warranty work order and submit for which they had multiple contacts with the dealership and were well aware what was going on. Worst experience ever and will not own another Cadillac in my lifetime. Would highly not recommend buying a Cadillac. They are junk and way overpriced. Encountered multiple people with the same transmission issues along with GM has a class action lawsuit against them for the transmission problem my vehicle has/had. I got rid of it ASAP!
Our experience with the SRX has been bad from the start. Cue system, transmission troubles but now they will not stand behind a poor product design with the headlight problem. This is a safety problem for whoever drives this car at night. It is a well documented problem that they will not stand behind. Shame on you Cadillac, when someone dies it will be on you.
The CTS is a large car that handles adroitly, quietly and with some spunk, even if it only has a 2.0 Turbo. It does require Premium fuel, but I get ~ 22 mpg driving mostly around town and > 30 mpg on the highway. P.S. It also has pizzaz styling!!!
Cadillac offers and includes very unique models. The one I purchased has incredible handling and speed. Its red and black with white stripes. It has black tires and white rims. It also has ornaments and tattoos. It has auto-pilot and TVs inside of it. Its personalization options are unlimited as are all the other cars Ive purchased. Ive upgraded the engine and the tires for a more rounded car. I recommend Cadillacs to all of my family and friends. Its price however is a bit unreasonable. Furthermore, the passenger capacity is not very good. You can only fit 2 people in the car including the driver. Id much rather have a 4 seater car than a 2 seater car. But it was an enjoyable experience.
Cadillac DHS 2003 - Just read a comment by an owner of a 2003 Cadillac and I wanted to respond with What are you doing with my car? I have had to replace the transmission, rack & pinion, numerous window regulators, A/C compressor etc and now the intake manifold gasket. One would think that after building cars for a hundred years, and the humiliation of putting (the once revered) Cadillac name on the Cimarron, that taking some pride in engineering components shouldnt be asking too much.
Two criminals broke into my garage and stole my locked Cadillac CTS with ease. My wallet, purse, license, more than ten credit cards, and many other items of value were in the car, and still, havent been recovered. I called the police and was told that the car would stop in about a half mile. That was not the case. They stopped to get snacks and completely trashed the car, before going on a joyride in circles across town. The police ended up finding the car, one of the criminals was found, the other took off with my purse, which contained once again, my wallet (which contained more than two hundred dollars.), around ten credit cards, both my drivers and military license, and many others valuables. They also found meth in the car. Wonderful. When we spoke to the police about the incident, they had no words. They told us to go straight to the manufacturers about this, as they were clueless how this occurred. How my Cadillac CTS was able to drive OVER fifty miles without keys! When we spoke with the man who broke into the car, he didnt even know how it worked. Meaning that the car drove without any help. He was charged with theft, breaking and entering, and possession of narcotics. he dropped his partner off somewhere before he was caught, we told him we would drop some of the charges if he gave her, and the money up, but he wouldnt budge. His partner is STILL missing with all of my belongings. I would NEVER recommend this to friends or family, or anyone really. After doing research, I have found that this is not the first time that a Cadillac CTS has driven without keys, allowing criminals to get away with thousands of dollars, and other important items. Another customer lost, Cadillac. I will be going to the media and sharing this, to ensure nothing similar to this happens again.
Very Comfortable to ride in. The overall experience of a smooth ride. The seating is spacious. Body style is sleek and eye catching. Appreciation of the bose system produces a great sound. It handles very well over the road. The automation of the seat adjustment and the back lumbar gives you a more relaxed experience while driving. During the colder days to be able to heat the leather is rewarding.
