Best Sports Sedans That Arent German For 2022
Posted On: June 12, 2022
The fact of the matter is that the benchmark for all sports sedans still comes from Germany. Whether it's BMW's heavy lean into sharp handling or race tech in the M cars, Mercedes doses of loony-level AMG power in its luxury-leaning rides, or Audi's split-the-difference quattro approach, you can't go wrong with a German sports sedan. There's a reason why they're the default brands for people that move into higher tax brackets and want a quick, comfortable, and stylish sports sedan. However, that certainly doesn't mean cars like the Audi S8, BMW M5, or Mercedes-Benz AMG four-doors are the only sports sedan game in town. These are the sports sedans here in 2022 that we believe deserve to be on the cross-shopping lists when it comes to sports sedans. Alfa Romeo Giulia QuadrifogliornIf a BMW M3 is the metaphorical high carbon steel scalpel, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a Blue Steel chef's knife with an ebony handle. The Giulia Quadrifoglio is a finely-honed tool but has an emotional component BMW's M cars have been lacking as of late. You can stretch the analogy further because a high-end chef's knife like that can be temperamental and easy to break. The Quadrifoglio is powered by a sensational and highly-strung 505-horsepower twin-turbo V6 engine that can propel the sports sedan to 60 mph in under four seconds, and the chassis ensures sensational levels of grip and handling. Plus, you don't need to press a button to make it oversteer on demand. Cadillac CT5-V BlackwingrnWhile the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is supposed to be a direct competitor for the BMW M3, it sits more between the M3 and M5 in size but delivers the kind of power and delivery an AMG would raise an eyebrow, then give the nod to. Under the hood is a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that delivers its 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. If you want an analogy, it's a cage fighter in a Brooks Brothers suit and Tom Ford shoes. It's nice and relaxed, having a good time going about its day, but if it's pushed, then someone is going to get their ass kicked. To us, it's America's answer to a serious AMG sports sedan, and if they met in the ring it would be one hell of a brawl. Genesis G70rnGenesis is a relative newcomer to the sports sedan game, and the G70 is a stunner without being bonkers. Its turbocharged V6 makes 365 hp, and Genesis has worked hard on its cornering prowess and its premium interior trappings. It's one of our favorite-looking sedans, but it's a blast to drive hard, packed with useable technology, and a consummate cruiser on the freeway or around town. The rear seats are a little cramped for regular use as a four or five-seater, and the trunk is tiny, but if neither of those are deal-breakers, the Genesis G70 is a must for a cross-shop test drive. Kia StingerrnYes, we're going to put a South Korean brand in a list of cars that can compete with German premium vehicles. With the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 option ticked, the Stinger sends 368 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels and still comes in at under $50,000, complete with all the luxury features and practicality anyone can need from a sports sedan. There's not a lot of downsides at the price for a premium quality rear-wheel-drive sedan that can carve up a mountain road with confidence. When it comes to value for money, Kia shows it still has the goods as long as the sports sedan is still in production. Dodge Charger SRT HellcatrnFrankly, the V8-powered R/T Dodge Charger isn't that accomplished when it comes to sportiness, but the SRT Hellcat version is an entirely different proposition. A supercharged V8 making 717 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque sits under the hood, and the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat also sits on adaptive suspension and has a generous list of standard features. The 'Jailbreak' option increases engine output to an even more bananas 807 hp and opens up new customization options. You won't catch a BMW M car in the corners, or off the line as the Charger SRT Hellcat is rear-wheel-drive only, but you won't find a sedan with more charisma and horsepower without spending supercar money. Unlike the Challenger SRT, though, the Charger SRT isn't a one-trick pony and has excellent chops as a sports sedan. Acura TLXrnAcura is coming back on form, and the TLX was the first salvo. The latest TLX arrived in 2021 and split opinions inside the Carbuzz offices over its handling. But opinions differ and I loved driving the TLX hard, so expect me to shift out of third-person writing and into first with all the awkwardness of a Lamborghini driver trying to show off in front of a crowd. If you love spirited driving, you want the SH-AWD option ticked to get the drivetrain and chassis to communicate properly. Its 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque won't blow your mind, but it's enough. Mixed with a superbly well-balanced chassis, the playful SH-AWD system, sharp and accurate steering, and an upscale cabin, it makes for a fun and comfortable sports sedan. The criticism in the office is that the TLX needs summer tires to be the car Acura professes it to be. It's a fair opinion, but it depends on what you want, and with summer tires, it would generate more grip for sure. However, there's a real joy to be had exploiting the chassis balance to get the steering on-throttle and the TLX moving around on the edge of grip without having to reach higher speeds. It will absolutely slide around if you want it to, and the SH-AWD is eager to help have fun. If you want something to take on BMW directly, go for for the Type S. Lexus IS 500rnThe Lexus IS comes with a huge caveat as a modern sports sedan. It's a sedate cruiser around town despite its 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 producing 472 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. That's mainly down to the automatic transmission tuning, which is fine in normal mode but it remains seemingly tuned for economy in the Sport modes. The caveat is that to enjoy the engine to its maximum, you need to go manual with the paddles to keep it in the power band and rev it out to its 7,200 rpm redline. The balanced chassis makes the IS 500 fun to drive and kick around on a back road, but the soft suspension stops it from becoming the perfect thriller of a sports sedan. However, that suspension is downright sublime when the car is in daily driver mode, and the cabin is a wonderfully relaxing place to be for a commute. Karma GS-6rnThe Karma GS-6 should have been on our "Cars You Forgot Are On Sale" list, but, well, we forgot about it. We shouldn't because when we test drove it in 2021, we had a great time with the car despite its outdated powertrain - the same hybrid system found in the BMW i8. In fact, it's a sedan that should not be written off as it's a blast to drive and looks absolutely sensational. Seriously, if you define a great car as being one you always look at as you walk away, the GS-6 is as good as it gets. It has supercar pricing and supercar power with 536 horsepower and 550 lb-ft combined. The interior is tight but comfortable and tighter in the rear. It's a sedan that will suit very few people, but those it does will fall in love with it.

My 2010 MDX 3.7L Engine has been consuming 1 quarts of oil for every 800 miles driven. At 125,000 miles the number 2 cylinder is reading 58 PSIs. The other cylinders are reading 205 with a pressure gauge. The engine is now ruined and I have to replace the engine at 125,000 miles. Honda is aware of the problem and has done nothing. Never a Honda/Acura product again.

My dashboard started cracking around the passenger side airbag. My car is garage-kept most of the time, even at work! Its obvious that this a manufacturer defect and should be replaced! In one day, I saw 4 TLs with cracked dashboards! I dont think I will buy another Acura.

The Acura CL is the most reliable car I have ever owned. The only thing that goes wrong is the normal wearing of parts. Its a 1997 car and was totaled once, but I had it towed so a new transmission could be installed and it runs perfectly. For a 1997 vehicle it has automatic door locks so I can lock and unlock the doors from a distance. It also enables you to open your trunk as you approach the car, especially helpful when your arms are full of items. It has a sunroof which is always nice to have. The things that would improve the car are things available in todays cars, like a Bluetooth connection for your cell phone or a GPS that will give you directions. Heated seats would be nice and better speakers for the radio and CD player.

I had the four door base model with few features other than the standard package but it felt luxurious to me. The stereo system sounded great. The car felt well put together by the manufacturer. The heating unit was quick to respond after startup. I had the black and when it was polished up would look great at night against the street lights. The all wheel drive made it great for cruising around. I really liked the radio interface. The backseat was also very roomy. I once had three friends in the back for a four hour trip and they were able to survive. There was enough room to make it comfortable.

Acura has many different styles of which I chose one that was underrated and I was correct about the style being underrated. I was luckily judging by the quality. This car has a great design on the steering wheel as well as fast working brakes which lead to a safe drive and this makes me feel safer at night or plain daylight. The upgrade is as amazing as rescuing a cow from a trapped low quality fence. It is always an amazing thing to look forward towards when it comes to cars. Plus this vehicle can hold up to 5 people at once. It can hold more if squeezed in or even if little children were to be put in.

Its high class. Not a lot of work needs to be done because of the quality of the car itself. It offers Integra which I had myself. Then you have the sort ILX and MDX. Its a lot of sporty type cars with smaller engines to save games. It has different models. For example the base model is like an normal car, maybe power windows and a standard stereo. Then you have the different packages to go along with the car. It goes like any other car that a person would buy. Basic and then upper class and then the middle affordable one. It depends what you can buy on your budget. But if you are looking for space these cars are probably not the ones you are looking for. Maybe good for two or four people. But if you are looking to have more than four, dont even think about adding another person inside.

I bought my Acura 1 year this past November. My front tires look like this!! I have been through 2 oil changes (One this past November) and tire rotation, only for Acura of Memphis not to mention anything about an alignment. I asked to speak with a service manager and the rep sent me to Doris ** (I knew she wasnt a manager), who made me feel really bad. She said its my fault that I didnt get an alignment. Im suppose to get it twice a year (who does that? Who knows that?) She also asked if I read the manual for the service codes??? NO! When service due comes up, I go to Acura of Memphis. I thought this was a one stop shop, but it looks like I have to turn into a mechanic! When I bought the car, I was told oh yeah, oil changes and tire rotations 2x a year. Well according to Doris, its suppose to be 2 oil changes, 2 alignments, air filters, etc. Sounds like $1000 for maintenance 2x a year. Im stuck after 1 year, 30k miles, buying two tires ($244 ea and alignment $99).After writing the post above on Facebook, the General Manager, Clifton **, called me very upset. He stated that I post incorrect information. He also stated that Doris was indeed a manager, in which the website stated that she was a service advisor. Per Mr. **, she was promoted 2 weeks or 2 months ago. Mr. ** clearly wasnt trying to resolve my problem, but was very argumentative. I told him multiple times that my problem clearly isnt a tire problem, but an alignment problem. He totally ignored me and started reading some script talking about what Acura does for their customers. His tone was very negative and I dont ever care to speak with him again. I am not sure why a General Manager would call a customer irate. I have replaced the two tires and got an alignment. No help to Acura of Memphis or the General Manager.

Even knowing what you are looking for, looking at the various models at the Acura dealership is helpful and exciting. Knowing what features are included in which models is a must going forward. The sleek lines and smooth new-car finish is just the beginning in your hunt for decisions and choices. The backing camera and individual temperature controls are a must. Color, features, accouterments, specifications - the wonderful decisions you get to make are just part of the incredible journey. Decisions like these are always fun! Passenger capacity is always something to be considered when choosing a vehicle. I would always expect at least a 5-passenger vehicle. This was easily accomplished. The best part of my year.

Acura offers a sufficient variety of models to suit every lifestyle (sedan, SUV, sport model, etc.). When I owned an Acura, I had the Vigor sedan model, which I absolutely loved. Their models are classically designed, and an old Acura looks just as contemporary as a new one. What I particularly appreciate is the fact that blind spots are minimized, reducing the need to stretch and crane your neck before changing lanes. Also, their upgrade and personalization options are comparable to those offered by other manufacturers of upscale automobiles. For example, on-board GPS, air conditioning, hands-off mobile phone, etc. The passenger capacity depends on the style and/or model of car selected. My Vigor sedan had standard seating capacity for two passengers in the front and three in the back.

Called Acura when I got flat tire this morning. It is now 3 hours later they just arrived. There was no spare in car. No Acura emergency service like other brands such as Mercedes and Lexus. Very little help for person who does not know how to handle the problem. We own three Acuras. Never again will I buy one. With Mercedes or Lexus you call and they come get you and car. They repair. None of this arguing for a tow truck. No need for a million explanations. They just lost my family’s business. What a shame.

I love this car, new or used, they are great cars to own and enjoy. The Acura TSX Navi is a great family car. It has enough room for two car seats and another person in the back. It also has spacious legroom all around and expansive trunk space with enough room to haul two strollers and an army of baby items. Excellent gas mileage and beautiful colors make the Acura the perfect car for anyone. Heated seats and mirrors are fantastic in cold weather. The car was also upgraded to a moonroof. Sirius radio was also an added bonus along with navigation. From family models to sports models, Acura cars are fun to drive and luxurious enough to satisfy the pickiest person!

This is on a 4 year old upscale vehicle (Acura TL). This dealer (Hertrich Acura) especially does not care after purchasing 6 cars among me and family. Car was impeccably maintained but if you don’t service the vehicle at their overpriced garage you can forget it. It does have a 109k miles on it but that’s a break in period for other upscale brands! Looking at all of the reviews that preceded the one I am writing, I think the problem is that Honda Corp. has allowed itself to become Americanized. The service culture of North America has increasingly taken over the company and it is behaving more like a GM, FORD or Chrysler. The pedantic, customer-oriented style of Japan has slowly been wrung out of Honda North America. My Acura 2008 MDX which I purchased as a certified model in late 2011 has been a basket of problems. Poor shocks (which they wont acknowledge), tire replacement after just 25,000 miles, a GPS system that needed to be replaced, battery that failed quite conveniently after its warranty expired, a power tailgate that didnt operate properly, a failure of a relay that affected the Air Conditioning are just a few of the problems. The ride on my MDX is very rough and I cant figure out why. Most have been taken cover under the warranty - but its a pain to keep going into the shop. I thought the whole idea buying a premium SUV was that as long as you did the regular maintenance, this type of thing wasnt supposed to happen. This is certainly the case with Mercedes E350 that I own and my previous Lexus RX 350 (which was a fantastic vehicle). The service culture at the dealerships is okay but it feels more like a Ford dealership than a Lexus or Mercedes dealership. The other day, their shuttle driver forgot that my son had been waiting for 45 minutes for a lift home and he ended up having to get home on his own. It was an innocent mistake but the problem was indicative of some structural problems. Again, this is okay for a middle value car but for a company that is holding itself out as a premium company, its not acceptable. Its unlikely Ill buy an Acura again. Ill go back to Lexus where frankly the product and after market service was just a league above. To put in airline terms, Acura feels like premium economy not business class. I dont know if anyone at Acura reads these reviews, but someone should start paying attention. There is a lot of competition out there. Finally, the weird thing is that whenever I send my car in for servicing, I get assailed for customer feedback. Yet when I sent an email on this, there was still no response. Hopefully, our reviews are taken seriously by someone who has some influence within Acura.

I had a disappointing and sad experience during my purchase of a 2015 TLX Advance 4 Wheel Drive. This is not my first time purchasing a car from Acura, this is actually my third vehicle from Acura. And you would think Acura as a whole, values their customer but honestly maybe they did in the past but NOT ANYMORE. The quality and moral of Acura has declined and is very low. I would like everyone to beware of this. First of all my brand new vehicle is 3 weeks old and last Monday 17th November 2014, I experienced a flat tire in Manhattan New York where I reside and to my amazement, the first thing anyone would do which is normal is to fix it on your own. After which you proceed if needed, to take it to a tire shop or dealership to be fixed much better however this was not the case at all. The vehicle had NO SPARE TIRE and I was not told this at my initial sale/purchase which is HORRIBLE for any customer. The customer has to RIGHT TO KNOW and given the choice what to do. But as a whole, Acura making vehicles like this now with no spare tire is NOT A GOOD THING AT ALL because it is a HAZARD AND DANGER TO THE CUSTOMER. I understand TECHNOLOGY is changing but ACURA NEEDS TO PUT THIS OUT THERE TO ANY CUSTOMER. As usual this a money making issue for Acura now because if they tell you the vehicle has no spare tire you have to purchase one on your own or purchase one with them. More expense for you. Coming back to my Current issue which is still going on as I have now picked this issue up with ACURA CLIENT RELATIONS, I have a case number so this is not a light issue especially for anyone with a new vehicle. The case manager assigned to me was so rude, very disrespectful, very bad communication and she should not represent ACURA at all. Her name was Katrina and she was the case manager assigned to my issue. She actually insulted me so many times and told me that it was my fault for not researching my new TLX properly. In other words, I was to be blamed for the vehicle not having a spare tire when she is absolutely wrong. Her tone was out of line and she seems to not value ACURA customers at all. What a poor example of someone like her portraying ACURA. She also proceeded to say that my sealant pump which they provide to fix the flat tire was not defective when it clearly was and she refused to see that. The tire sealant kit never worked for me and reaching out to her was of no use .Just to give you an idea as to how everything happened, Monday when I encountered the flat tire since there was no spare tire within the vehicle this made me so angry and I began to use their SO CALLED TIRE SEALANT KIT FOR A FLAT TIRE. In a nutshell, ACURAs version of a tire pump which is horrible. THIS TIRE SEALANT PUMP SEALED NOTHING... NOTHING I TELL YOU. The pump NEVER WORKED ONE BIT. This was my second disappointment and now the wheel that had the flat had WHEEL LOCKS. To my horror, the SO CALLED KEY FOR THE WHEEL LOCK did not work at all and the vehicle comes with NO WRENCH to remove the wheel lock despite everything going on. As a whole, all three items are very vital and dangerous to your life and everyone on this site should be aware of it. This is a big disappointment on Acura as a whole and they need to remodel and recheck their design of this vehicle next time or any other vehicle they would like to design. This vehicle is truly the best and very powerful however it lacks vital simple items which are important. The flat tire sealant pump does not work at all as I mentioned above. Please be aware and there is no spare tire for the customer unless you purchase one on your own or from the company. Therefore if you get a flat, the pump ONLY works if your tire has a hole JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR THE PUMP TO WORK. So everyone out there, please pay attention to this. The third thing on your tires as mentioned by me before, the wheel locks are placed on all four tires however the vehicle has a key which may or may not work and there is no wrench within the car to open the locks. This is a great risk and a definitely NO on Acura as a whole. I took my pump and wheel to be inspected and the service person at Paragon ACURA never updated with the outcome and forgot me completely hence no help from him. POOR SERVICE once again. I dont recommend this place and please be aware of your purchase of any 2015 Acura models. It is a SAFETY ISSUE FOR YOU AS A WHOLE. At PARAGON ACURA, THE SERVICE CONSULTANT was horrible and did not have the courtesy and professionalism to call me back concerning my tire pump and flat tire I left with him on Monday 11/24/2014 with any updates as I have to report this to Acura client relation. I called him after two days and he had the audacity to tell me he forgot to get back to me. POOR COMMUNICATION AND SERVICE FROM HIM. What a useless guy. OMG.This expensive vehicle also came standard with GOODYEAR EAGLE TIRES. Not a good thing to begin with as well. Anyway I wish to say in my closing please guys out there be careful and be safe. Take care of your own vehicle as you can see I am fighting currently to get acknowledged for their mistake. I think this is my last time with Acura as their service has declined completely and the lack of respect from the case manager Katrina is not professional at all. For Acura to have someone like Katrina representing them is very bad. She needs to learn the basic which is to know her job and it is clear she does not. Please guys out there be careful.

I own a 2011 Acura MDX and from past few months Ive been having issues with Bluetooth, stereo and leather is already tearing apart although being used very lightly (for just about 3 1/2 years). When I reached out to Acura client relations to see if they can be of any help as the vehicle was still under warranty, they showed deaf ears to me which is a big surprise to me. I wont mind if they dont want to replace my leather, but not listening to customers and not responding is a big RED FLAG. This is not the kind of customer care I expect for a luxury car brand. I owned Infiniti and BMW in the past and Ive always had nice experience with their customer care whenever Id to deal with them for any complaints/issues. This is my first and heck yeah my last ACURA for life.

We have an 03 MDX with 130,000 miles. We have already had trans replaced a little over a yr ago and last night it went out again. No warning signs, nothing. Driving 35 mph and the tachometer went to 4500rpm and we coasted to a stop. I did see the D5 light on dash, that tells us which gear car is in, was flashing. We simply can not afford to fix this again. We will never buy Acura again, and will tell all our friends to stay away from them. Even if I do find the means to fix it, it will go up for sale immediately, and I will be looking at Chevrolet for replacement vehicle.

My car is a 2016. I bought it used. It was in excellent condition. The acceleration is lacking somewhat. It has a hesitation problem. But its a nice looking SUV. Its smaller than the car I sold when I bought this. That was a Hyundai Santa Fe. The Acura has some convenient things. It has a moon roof. It doesnt use a key to start the car. Its a push button. Mine has fully adjustable front heated seats. They are leather. Id like to have cooled seat because I live in southern Arizona. Overall its a good car thats a little hard on gas, however.

I am very happy with the variety of cars Acura had to offer. Lots of good choice and models to suit my buying needs. I would definitely buy another car from them in the future. You can choose the color of the paint on the exterior as well as the color of the leather that resides on the inside of the vehicle. Supremely awesome!!! They have heating, power steering, anti-lock brakes, Sirius CM, good windshield wipers, heated seats, stick shift or manual transmission. I can also fit my Wifey in the passenger seat and my 13 year old in the 2nd row as well as my 10 year old in the /he row as well as a whole bunch of luggage in the trunk.

I purchased an Acura MDX on 4/4/2019 and purchased an extended warranty for it, which is supposed to provide coverage for electrical and mechanical failures in the car. In 2020, we notified our local Acura Dealer (Pleasanton, CA) about an issue we were experiencing. Whenever we remote started the car, the heated seats would no longer operate about 50% of the time. We took videos of this occurring, and the dealer was able to duplicate the problem. They said it was an issue that needed to be addressed by the corporate office, as there was nothing the dealer could do.I have spent the last two years going back and forth with Acura over this issue, and the matter remains unresolved. At first they said it was operating normally when it did this. They also said they hadn’t heard of this issue before. An internet search revealed numerous online complaints from other customers about this exact same issue. There’s even a service bulletin put out my Acura about this in August, 2017. Bulletin number BTS 161203 Version 3. It states that the front seat heater control unit was suspected to be the culprit.Acura has refused to fix this issue, so I requested a refund for our extended warranty, which we paid $2695 for. We are experiencing a mechanical/electrical failure of the heated seats to work properly, and Acura has refused to fix the problem. Therefore, we would like a refund for the extended warranty, which was purchased entirely for problems like this.

We purchased our Mdx new knowing it was considered a luxury car and expecting it to last a long time without having any major problems. This car has been garage kept and only has 51 K miles on it! Three years ago the AC quit working - that cost several hundred dollars to get repaired. A few days ago the power steering quit. Luckily my husband was driving because he said I would never have been able to steer it safely off the road. He added the correct Honda fluid 3 times in order to make it home. Now we are being told it needs a whole new rack & pinion! How can a luxury car with only 51 K mile need a rack and pinion! We have owned many cars in the last 40 years and have never had to replace this part. The under side of the car is also all rusty. What else will go bad? Poor reliability for what is supposed to be a luxury car. Will not buy another one.

This car brand offers the sporty model (ILX), the mid-size sedan model (TLX), the larger sedan (RX), the two SUVs (MDX and RDX), and an expensive sports car (NSX). All the cars are tastefully designed inside and out. The Acura brand provides in their standard cars what most others charge as extra. All the cars have leather seats that are very comfortable and superior handling. Most of the upgrades were nice to have options. The description was good enough to understand what Id be getting if I opted for some of the personalized options. Passenger capacity in all Acura models is as expected. I have been battling with Acura Customer Service for 2 months over a common problem Acura is ignoring: Bluetooth systems draining the car battery. I spent over two years having my battery regularly recharged or replaced, with the Acura dealer unable to diagnose the problem. I could not let my car sit more than one day without starting or the battery would be dead. I took it in several times and once paid to have a relay switch replaced, which did not solve the problem.I had lost use of my Bluetooth, but never connected the two, even though every time the battery was recharged the Bluetooth would miraculously work again for about 30 minutes... When I finally Googled 2007 Acura electrical problem I discovered lots of people have had this problem. Some had replaced their Bluetooth system and the problem recurred.Based on what I learned, had my Bluetooth disconnected. I contacted Acura Customer Service to complain about having to pay $100 to disconnect a system that has not worked for two years. Long story short, and after providing full documentation of my last two years of dealer, mechanic and AAA auto service, I was told that because Acura did not diagnose the Bluetooth system as the problem they could not help me. Ironic, eh? This problem has been occurring for years and by not diagnosing it they were not responsible for it. I must add I found Michael, the Customer Service person I spoke with, to be condescending and disrespectful (phone number 800-382-2238, extension **). Needless to say, my next car will not be an Acura.

I purchased my 2006 Acura TL on 7/13/12. When I purchased my vehicle, I was told some issues were fixed with it regarding brakes and computer. I was told everything was fixed. I was also told by Rich that the salesperson would show me how to use my navigation and pair my phone to my car via bluetooth. As far as the bluetooth issue, the salesperson tried to help me pair it to the car. But the bluetooth asked for a code that the original owner setup and no one knew it. They said they would try to contact the original owner. I have been waiting since I purchased the vehicle. Today, I spoke to Rich in person about my issue (who has not returned any of my phone calls) who is the sales manager and he told me in a rude way, I am not fixing it. I spent over $2,000 in that car to get the lights off and that is your problem, not mine. And he said this after I told him the vehicle was advertised that it has bluetooth and I wanted it fixed. I told him I was going to make a complaint and he said that isnt going to do anything. As far as the check engine light issue, that car has been to Acura three times within the past three weeks. The last time, I dropped it off which was the 3rd time on approximately around 6/28/12 to fix the engine light issue and to do an alignment. I was then told the light has something to do with the computer and the brakes which I was promised was fixed before I bought the car. They gave me a loaner and I was told it should only take about 2 or 3 days. Then, I was promised that car would be done on 7/5/12 and it still wasnt. And when I picked it up today on 7/9/12, I have different lights on and my VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) lights are on and are not working. The salesperson apologized and said he would get with the service manager Carl who I spoke to multiple times and made promise when my car would be finished and was not. Right now, I am very disappointed on how a luxury dealer treats their customers and not take ownership of their issues. I want my car fixed without waiting a week and my bluetooth unlocked.

I purchased a new 2020 Acura RLX hybrid with all of the bells and whistles.
I purchased a new 2020 Acura RLX hybrid with all of the bells and whistles. While under 30,000 miles the vehicle has had major issues with the infotainment system, the fuel pump, transmission, and battery. All have required replacements and extensive (months) time at the dealership. On August 13, 2021, while at a hospital in another state, for my mothers surgery, the vehicle failed to start inside a parking garage. Acuras roadside assistance was contacted and they informed me that they were unable to tow the vehicle from a parking garage and I had to find my own towing company. I arranged the vehicle towing, at my expense and had to get a rental car to get home and back. According to Acuras warranty, all of these expenses are reimbursable.I picked up the car a week later from the dealership just to find that my back seat was missing (the hybrid battery had to be removed to replace the fuel pump). Once I got the seat installed, I went home and filed a claim with roadside assistance. That claim has not been paid or even decided after 7 months. According to Acuras policy, this was supposed to take place within 30 days. I later the transmission failed to work, and I had to have the car towed to the original dealership. I filed a Lemon Law claim as advised by the Acura dealership due to all of the issues with this vehicle through Acura customer service. The claim was opened in September of 2021. The process as listed on the Acura website is a 4-6 week process to obtain a decision. It is now February of 2022 and no action has taken place. When I call customer service I am informed that it is with a new case manager and the process has to start over. In other words, the first lazy case manager did nothing and they hand it off to the next case manager to start the process over. This is my 3rd Honda vehicle to include a 2019 Acura TLX that is 1 year older than my 2020 RLX. I have always had great experiences with Honda until now. What they have become is a company that no longer values dependable vehicles or great customer service. Even if you are paying over $65,000 for a vehicle.

I feel proud to drive it. Sometimes I just get in it and drive just for the pleasure it provides. It is leather on the inside and has a stylish sunroof. Also there are a lot of ways it can be personalized from top to bottom. It can come in several colors and personal choices. The tires can be upgraded along with the stereo system. There are lots of room with a total of five people. The belts and the seats are comfortable. It sits well and has lots of room upfront as well as in the rear.

I purchased a 2007 Acura RL brand new. It has been a nightmare. It only has 60000+ miles on it and it looks like it has a 100000 miles. The trim around the windows and inside the doors are peeling and rotting. The material in the inside leather (more like cheap vinyl) is cracked and peeling off. The material covering the center console has already peeled. The dash covering is bubbled up and cracking. The center display goes in and out of view. The wheels squeal. We have replaced brakes that we really did not have to. Having this car was a dream turn into a nightmare. I will never buy another Acura of any type model for as long as I live. There is a thick greasy streak in the passenger side window that there is no explanation for. DONT BUY ONE.

I purchased 2018 Nissan Pathfinder (VIN Ending with XXXXXX) from Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ on Oct, 19, 2020. My Sales Rep was Luis. This vehicle had 62,009 miles when I purchased it and I was told on the day of purchase (Oct 19, 2020) that vehicle will have 1K Miles/30 days (whichever comes first) dealer warranty. On top of that I purchased Easy Care extended warranty. Everything was signed on Oct 19 and I took the vehicle home. After a few days, vehicle’s engine started making noises and it would release white smoke from exhaust. Assuming vehicle was covered under dealer warranty (1K miles/30 days), I brought it back to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ. On Nov 2, 2020 Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ technician looked at the vehicle and after diagnostic and test drive said it seems ok so drive it as is and if problem persists, bring it back. Obviously, problem did persist and I had to bring the vehicle back on Nov 18, 2020 to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ and they gave me a loaner to look bit deeper into the issue. Next day, Service dept manager Steve called me and said, I need to take the car to Nissan because they can diagnose it better plus since I have the extended warranty, it should be all covered. I didn’t agree given the fact dealer warranty was still good (1K/30 days) but they insisted they are an Acura dealership and they cannot diagnose Nissan vehicle. I took the vehicle from there to Nissan Dealership in Keyport, NJ. Once they looked at the vehicle and vehicle’s old records, they told me this vehicle was brought to 4 different dealerships for service since it had engine issue. They suggested I go back to the Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ and they should get it fixed since you are still under (1K/30 days) warranty. I came back to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ again before Thanksgiving holidays and let them know what Nissan Service dept was telling me and Used Car Sales Manager “Freddy” came out to help me. After discussing for over an hour with other managers in the back area, he came back and shown me a car fax and basically said “you see when a car is brought to me, we run a car fax but if there is nothing in the car fax report about the engine issue. We can’t do much about it because we don’t know about it”. Really? Well, what exactly is the dealer warranty for then? Anyhow, “Freddy” told us what he can do is, he can take the car back and let me pick something else. Basically a “trade” which of course comes with its own complications. After Thanksgiving, I was notified by Nissan Service Dept at Keyport, NJ that my Extended Warranty adjuster denied the claim because car had this issue before I purchased it from Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ. I, once again stopped by at the Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ on Nov 30, 2020. I met with Use Car Sales Manager “Freddy” again and after spending more than 2 hours he looked through few vehicles that could possibly work with my budget. He found 2017 RDX but when we presented the numbers they were high. I asked “Freddy” I know trade is not worth for me but how come Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ is not taking responsibility that I was dealt a bad hand and they should simply get the vehicle fixed as per the contract. I didn’t get any response to that and instead I was getting lame excuses like I was “cursing”. Fact is, he didn’t want to deal with the issue, he didn’t want to acknowledge vehicle that was not certified/was sold and now it’s my headache to deal with it. I am writing this let you all know what goes on when you purchase a used vehicle and how these dealers can treat you. Be warned.

My Acura TL 2014 model was purchased new and I never had a black vehicle but always seen black cars and they looked great. The vehicle has a V6 engine and plenty of power and the style is sleek, aerodynamic curves and it a great vehicle. The only issue I have are the tire sensors fail consistently and these are a nuisance as I have my own pressure gauge to measure the tire pressure. After doing a lot of research and test-driving Lexus, Mercedes, Subaru, Nissan and others, I finally bought an Acura-RDX and realized immediately after buying the car that the famous Honda Company/Acura suppressed the fact that this RDX didnt have trunk/hatch release key inside the car. I have several complaints about Acura and to be more specific, both Acura of Bay Shore and Acura Company. I leased a RDX in 2015. They deceived me in every possible way. Before I went to Acura I had a lease through Nissan and I had 5 months left on that lease. Allison, the sales rep, repeatedly told me that they would pay the 5 months I had on my previous lease as part of the deal. Needless to say, they added the amount of those 5 months to the new lease. The day I sign the contract I was in a hurry and I did not want to go through the whole process and I took responsibility and I am paying for what they told me they would do.One of the selling points was, or is, that Every time you bring your vehicle for service we will wash it for you. Well give you a free car wash every time. When I brought the truck for the first service, I dropped it in the morning around 8am. I did not hear from them until I called around 3:00pm. They said it would be ready in 45 min. When I received the truck it had noticeably some drops of water and all the dirt that it came with when I drop it. So I called the service person. When I showed to him the quality of the job done, he offered to take it back to wash it. Once again, they did not deliver on their promise and deceive me again. And the most recent complaint, which is no fault of Acura of Bay Shore but Acura as a Company, is that due to the recall on the Takata airbag used on my Acura RDX, I have been trying to reach Acura to work with me. My RDX has been parked for a month now and will be until the dealership receives the parts to replace which could be 3 month or a year, according to service manager. In the meantime, they provided me with a rental, a Kia Sedona. I have tried to get a different car, something comparable to what I am paying for. It hurts to pay $475.00 a month and drive a $200.00 dollar a month truck. After one month the car rental place contracted by Acura claims that, they dont have any SUVs available. I have called the Acura Relations Department to negotiate my monthly payments, to lower or stop for the time I am not using the car. They told me they cannot do anything for me and I am to fulfill the contract by paying my monthly lease of $475.00 for something I cant use. I have not been late with any payments since I entered into this contract with Acura. I have fulfill my obligation but ACURA HAS FAIL TO PROVIDE ME WITH A SAFE CAR. I dont expect to resolve this issues in my favor at this point. I just hope that whoever is reading this THINKS TWICE before dealing with Acura Company.

I have a 2018 Acura RDX and its gas range display sucks. On an instance, I start from my office and it shows, I have gas range of 100 miles and after driving for less than 2 miles it shows gas left for 70 miles left. How come in driving for 2 miles I consumed gas worth of 30 miles? After driving on highway for few miles it moves up to 80 miles. How come after driving extra 5 miles I added more gas in my car? I understand it varies based on driving but how would I actually know how much gas I have in my car. It is extremely confusing and I think erroneous. Not sure how such system is considered as a better user experience by the Acura engineers. I think Acura should do a recall and fix this system for all Acura RDX owners.

I purchased an Acura Care certified extended warranty when I purchased my MDX from the Acura dealership. However, just before my warranty was set to expire, my car broke down due to a seized motor. I had the vehicle towed to Acuras service center, Pleasanton Automotive, because the vehicle was still under warranty. They dismantled the entire motor, called Acura Care who sent an inspector, and the inspector determined that Acura Care would not cover the repairs because the vehicle was damaged due to negligence. At this point, I would like to note that I have kept up with the preventive maintenance on the MDX - regular Mobil 1 synthetic oil changes and vehicle inspections done at Walmart, and regular tune-ups and inspections done at my ex-husbands automotive service shop. The Acura Care inspector said he determined that my car had been run without oil which caused the motor to become extremely overheated and seize. However, not once did my car show any indication of overheating, nor was it ever run without oil. When questioned, the Acura service advisor confirmed that the oil was full, there were no metal shavings found in the oil, and the vehicle did not have any leaks. The Acura representatives have verbally blamed Walmart for the damage, but they refuse to put the accusations in writing. Now, Acura is saying that I have to pay almost $9000 for a new motor and labor, but I still believe all costs should be covered under the extended warranty.

My name is Paul **. I am one of the many owners of 3rd generation (2004-2008) Acura TLs who are experiencing significant cracks in the passenger side dashboard, and resulting SRS indicator lights suggesting a potentially dangerous airbag problem. Most of us have contacted dealers and Acura corporate headquarters for assistance and have uniformly been told the parts are not defective and the damage results from normal wear and tear. We know this to be a lie and believe Acura knows it also.A small number of us have received partial payment as compensation, the majority have been rudely dismissed without any offer of help. Acura steadfastly refuses to admit the parts were defective at installation and, for years, has refused to make the needed replacement or repairs. This must end. I think Acura has been successful at denying our claims because they have been too fragmented to gain public attention. It seems that in the absence of popular and media pressure, the company has been able to conceal its bad faith and behavior. Its time to expose them.I suggest creating a common website or forum where those already and yet to be affected can post their complaints and condemn Acuras dishonorable conduct. Then we can gain wider and more focused access to a larger influential audience. It may not persuade Acura to act honestly and responsibly but it certainly can influence consideration of all Honda products. Our intent would not be to further injure the companys reputation; instead we will attempt to return it to responsive customer service. Please join me in getting this started by suggesting ways to establish direct contact with one another.

I have a 2016 RDX. Great car. Drives well. Nice features. But really awful tech that reminds me almost every day that Acura has not been able to fix the multiple IT problems in over a year. Bluetooth will not connect correctly. Car will attempt to make calls (to my phone) intermittently. Goes to mute when all screens and audio become non-functional... Overall, I would choose a different brand as IT is so integral to the function of a car now, and Acura has completely failed in my case.

2008 Acura TL - Worst vehicle I have ever owned. Acura does not stand by their product. Purchased new and dealer maintained. It has cost me thousands of dollars in repairs. Major wiring issue early on not covered by warranty. Accelerator pedal pump system went out 200 miles past warranty, called Acura hoping they would cover it in good faith but they could not care less. Now the transmission is really clunky. I have had so many problems with this car. Afraid every time I drive it something will go wrong. My 99 Ford Explorer with 182K mile has never had any issues. It hogs gas but is way cheaper than Acura repairs.

The Acura I purchased was sporty and fun to drive. It had all the safety features I wanted as well as most of the options I was looking for within my budget. I had bought a sport coupe, but even with the 2 doors, the back seat had ample leg room for anyone sitting back there. I was pleasantly surprised how roomy the car was. The upgrades I got were rear spoiler, power sunroof, and leather interior. All other options I wanted were standard features with the model I chose. There is a good selection offered by Acura, however, they could diversify their cars a little more. They should offer a more affordable selection of sport coupes.

Car was quality. Ranges from sporty to luxury with nearly unmatched quality. Acura is a dependable brand that offers great styles. I believe it is owned by Honda and has great motors that hold up well. You still see a lot of older models still on the road which validates that Acura is quality and very dependable. I like the integration, NSX and RSX models especially for their unique style and quality. The TL model is nice as well giving you the same look almost as a Lexus but I believe the Acura models are more appealing than Lexus personally. Acuras are easier to personalize or upgrade than most other cars. Almost all brands make parts for Acura which also helps with pricing because parts are so readily available. If you are into showing cars there are endless possibilities. Normal to average, models seat anywhere from 2 to 5 people. The RSX seats 4, the integration seats 4 and the NSX seats 2.

Apparently someone tried to steal my 2014 Acura MDX and thus it was immobilized by the anti-theft. They stole my sunglasses and apparently tried to use a crowbar to get in the window DENTING the window frame even though the car was unlocked! Therefore, I could not start my car as it was immobilized and was told to get the other key fob that was 30 minutes away at home. I could only get to that the later in the evening after the Acura service dept was closed. So the next day, today, beginning at 8 am, after TENS of calls with Acura Roadside Assistance and then with several non-English speaking tow truck drivers, the first tow truck could not get the car into neutral so they left. Hours pass, the second truck was not the right kind to pick it up after specific instructions were relayed that it had to be the special tow truck. Hours pass, the third truck had a flat tire so ultimately could not make it but failed to call. Hours pass and the fourth tow truck arrived 3 hours later than expected and then delivered the car to the WRONG DEALERSHIP ACROSS TOWN. I was then told that the car is nowhere to be found by that dealership and that the driver had driven away with it on his truck!!! Two hours later I was told it was found and being delivered to the right Acura service. Then I was told the car was LOST and could not be located at the new dealership! One hour later, after I called the last of five tow truck drivers and the dealership and connected the dots for them, the car was found again. Moral of the story, beware of Acura Roadside Assistance promises and next time plan to spend TWELVE HOURS OF YOUR OWN TIME TO RECEIVE ACURA ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE.

I have been giving business to Acura since 2010 and I bought one TL, leased TL/RLX. You could say that I was a loyal Acura customer. Least as I had expected, Acura stole my money and screws me up. When I was leasing the 2014 RXL I signed out auto-payment via my checking account; for fear of continuing charges from my checking account. I asked my bank (Citibank) to stop the auto payment in November, 2015 and I had been sending checks every month since until I traded the 2014 RXL to 2016 RLX in May, 2016 in Acura of Westchester and as usual, the dealer pays off the remain value and I signed a new lease with Westchester Acura. So I thought, and you will think as well, that the 2014 RLX car is left behind me. Lo and behold, in July 2018, I received a letter both from Acura Financial services and collection agency charging me $1651.98. When I first called Acura Financial service, a man with British accent told me that I did not pay the last month payment (which is strange, even it were true that I did not pay the last payment, it would only be $825.99, not $1651.98). When I called them back again from my vocation on 07/31/18, Acura financial told me a totally different story -- Because Acura overcharged me 3 months (twice of $825.99), I called my bank and the bank reversed the overcharge. Now Acura wants me to pay extra money, when in fact that the dealer had already bought off the older car and I am under new lease over 2 years! Acura had overcharged me more than 3 months and only month even charged me 3 TIMES! That is stealing because by contract, I only authorized Acura to charge me once a month! Not only that Acura lying to me by saying that they had been trying to contact me during the past 2 years, which is the biggest lie in the world -- because I have never received any mail/call regarding the 2014 RLX until July, 2018 and I have been paying the monthly payment of the 2016 RLX every month. I called Westchester Acura and spoke with the General Manager who was angry as well and states that he will contact Acura Financial Services in the morning. Regardless what outcome it will be, I have lost trust and confidence towards Acura and would like to share this experience with you guys, especially the potential buyers -- stay away from Acura unless you want to be screwed up and potentially have your credit scores affected negatively and being bullied and discriminated like this! I plan to go to court if this matter is not resolved. Watch out giving business to Acura! Watch your wallet because Acura may steal from you like what they did to me!

Just leased a 2019 Acura MDX Sport hybrid Technology. I am in love with it. The Active Damper suspension works amazing. Had a 2018 RDX Advance and the ride was not smooth at all. This MDX Hybrid just rides wonderful. I am getting 26MPG regularly, and I am not a light footed driver. While the infotainment is outdated - it sounds like it works better than the new system in the RDX. There needs to be LESS road noise Acura, and the interior dash and other surfaces need to be more luxurious, but overall this SUV is GREAT.

The Acura Integra is a very nice car. I purchased it earlier in life and it was a blast. Highly recommended. I loved the interior and the exterior. The interior was very sleek. The knobs were also sleek and slim. All the features were good. I didnt like the power of the a/c though, but it was bearable. I upgraded it a lot; rims, tires, exhaust, engine, suspension, etc. The upgrades were very high end and it roared. I loved it. But, the whole car felt small. I could easily fit two passengers in the front but if I tried to put another two in the back it would be less spacious.

I was driving on the freeway at about 60 MPH, keeping up with morning traffic on US101N, when my ACURA MDX 2011 suddenly stalled. I was pressing my foot on the accelerator but it would not go faster; in fact, it started slowing down. I was able to coast off to an exit, luckily, and then the car completely stalled, and would not start back up again. The dealership, Acura of Marin happened to be right there, and I had bought the car from them, Certified used, just 5 months prior. Although the service department was really great, and my car was under warranty, I sold the car back to them at a loss. Turned out it was a faulty/defective fuel pump. They called it bad; I call it defective. I was lucky that neither my children and I who were in the car, nor anyone else got hurt at the time of incident. No warning lights ever came on. Would not buy another Acura again.

I got RDX 2018 model. I mainly tells what this lacks compare to other non-suv models. I expected decent options when I say word Acura or luxurious model. Rear passenger leg room is so small, my old Toyota Camry got much larger leg space. Acura provided two 12 v chargers. Guess what, they are cigarette lighting chargers. If any passenger want to charge their phone, they need to buy compatible charger. What a life! No power windows for passengers. No telescopic steering wheel, means no adjustments. Now, good things about this one, smooth transmission ride, power steering control, vehicle stability, and its sleek look and design suggestion, compare option from similar vehicle class and buy!

As an owner of an Acura MDX I must express my sincere disappointment with the companys customer service (or lack thereof). The dealer from whom I bought my car lost its contract with Acura. (This can happen.) Acura has never contacted me to advise as to where I should take the vehicle for warranty work. The nearest Acura dealer is a 2 hour (one way) drive for me, but an certified Honda dealer is only 10 minutes away.Acura now sends me a recall notice informing me a bolt needs to be replaced. The Honda dealer tells me they can do the work, but it will be covered by Acura only with prior authorization. Acura denies authorization and will require me to undertake a 4 hour trip to effect this recall. Oh and it took Acura 4 weeks and multiple calls on my part to decide my request to deal with the Honda dealer would be denied. Never once did Acura return my call. Oh. Acura did send me a letter to wish me a Happy Anniversary in recognition of my Acura Ownership. Based upon their lack of caring, and lack of responsiveness, I would never purchase another Acura!

I recently purchased a new 2019 Acura RDX a-spec and have been experiencing continuous issues and malfunctions with the infotainment system. Issues include system freezing, Calls not ending, unable to access navigation or apple car play, System remains on (sometimes all day) when car is shut off. System will shut off while driving and lock out of all functions. Loud screeching over speakers at random. Unable to adjust volume with steering wheel controls, etc. Several of these things I was able to document on video. I was instructed by the service manager to disconnect the battery and allow car to sit for 10-15 min before reconnecting. This sometimes resolves for a short period before the issues resurface again. Not to mention, a step that no owner of a brand new luxury brand vehicle should have to do. I recently took my car into Acura for service and they ended up keeping the car for 2 days to try and troubleshoot the issues. This is what the Service Rep sent me: Hey Tony, I got word back from my area rep that he has to cross reference the data with the field engineer to see if they feel like changing the infotainment system will address the concern or not. Some of the symptoms are known issues but have not had a fix developed yet, but we want to be sure we exhaust all options. After all that, they were unable to fix or replace anything. I was told that Acura is working on future software updates that they can push out to everyone, but for the time being, there is nothing that I can do. I feel like I bought a lemon that is probably dropping tremendously in value due to these ongoing issues. I would strongly avoid purchasing an Acura RDX and any other Acura with the same Infotainment platform. Acura RDX Owner Tony **

Me and my family have roughly owned 20 Acuras in the last 15 years including buying 4 in the last 2 years. Had our ups and downs. The bad - losing my key. Running my Credit without my permission then making me pay for it to fix it... Messing up payments that were being taken out of my account (extra money). Lots of overcharges in any transactions. Whatever. I am over it. Everyone messes up. The good - great lease rates. Mostly reliable. Great looking car. So I bought another used Acura for a winter beater. There was apparently a recall for MDX active suspension struts. 5k repair up to 160 kms. I am sitting at 180. I called them and said hey I dont expect a full repair but some help would be great considering I am probably one of the best customers. I also own a body shop and obviously we pump parts from Acura. You know how the story goes. I was in talk with them for two weeks. They told me to beat it. We wont even look at it was the answer. I dont know if the people I am speaking with just also made an error but I am getting rid of all my Acuras after they are off lease and simply going to try something different and see how customer service treats me. I know grass is not greener on the other side but hey Mercedes makes some nice cars of all types.

Purchased new from Acura dealer, a 2014 MDX. At 22,000 miles noticed annoying chirping noise. After second time to dealer, they advised noise is from fuel pump and characteristic of vehicle & similar to other MDX. The loaners I have driven do not have this noise nor did mine for first 22,000 miles. I paid $50,000 for this vehicle, which is my fourth MDX. Unless Acura changes their response and fixes this noise, it will be my last. Who pays this amount of money to listen to irritating noise caused by fuel pump? Acura appears to be company driven by cost not customer relations! Where in the past I recommended to friends to consider an MDX, I now advise them of my unresolved issue. Those that ride with me ask what the noise is and wonder why I do not have dealer repair. They are dumbfounded that Acura considers this noise acceptable.

I currently own my third Honda/Acura vehicle. It is a 2002 Acura MDX. In Aug 2012, I brought it to Kingston Honda because the transmission was acting odd. They informed me that there was a recall on the transmission. This recall requires the technician to send photos of the transmission gears to Honda Canada where they are reviewed. If there is any sign of damage the transmission is replaced. If there is no sign of damage an oil injector kit will be installed (which takes 0.1 hours or 6 minutes to install). I was disheartened to be informed that my transmission was in perfect shape and therefore would not be replaced as I knew that it was acting up. I returned to them four more times in the next ten months with concerns about the transmission not working properly only to have them tell me each time that it was fine. On the last visit (July 2013) I was told that the transmission is gone and I was recommended I go to a local transmission shop to get it rebuilt for $5500. I asked the service manager why it had not been replaced earlier when the recall was performed and he told me that he did not know. I also asked for a copy of the reply from Honda Canada stating that the photos had indicated that the transmission showed no sign of wear but he had no record of it. In my opinion, Hondas recall appears to be lip service.

On June 8, 2012, I took my car into Acura of Milford, CT for an oil change and check the AC which was not working properly. All was done or so I thought to thetune of $304.52. I brought the car home and after a few days, my grandson, who is going to school for mechanics, said my car was leaking oil. He checked it out in my garage and found that the oil drain plug was stripped and that it did not tighten properly and needed replacing. This should have been caught by the mechanics at the Acura dealership. This cars previous owner always used the dealership when anything had to be done and I have followed in her footsteps taking the car to be serviced there also. I am indeed dissatisfied and will think about taking my car for an oil change next time I need it. On top of this, I was never told the oil drain plug was stripped. I will keep this short. We have owned 6 different Hondas and Acuras and this will be our last! We bought this 2019 RDX in October 2018 and the brakes have been squeaking loud since day 2. We have taken it into two different Acura service centers to get it fixed three different times since Dec 2018 and we hear the same thing every time “it is a known issue that Acura engineering is working.” How long does it take to fix this without a recall? Where is the buyback for this annoying and unsafe condition? nowhere to be found.A call to Acura customer service gets you the same place. After waiting two weeks for my case manager to really look into the issue, I was told to take the car back to the same service center so someone can look at it? I thought it was a known issue? I thought it was with Acura engineering? Oh wait, it is. The service center will change out the brakes and rotors but that does not fix the issue just wastes time and effort. Until Acura figures out how to treat customers right and work real issues with criticality, do them a favor and treat them like the brand they are...buy a Kia. At least it will be cheaper and still squeak.

I’ve purchased a used 2005 Acura TL with 69K miles on it. At 96K miles the transmission blew out, it was a $4000 bill to rebuild the transmission. My AC compressor had to be changed. I bought a new 2014 MDX AWD w/ Tech Package. 1st the Tech Package sensors stop working as soon as the temp. reaches anything beyond 103 degrees. Then, I got a pinhole leak in my radiator that Acura refused to take care of under the warranty. It turned out the design is changed to expose the radiator to the elements. Bad engineering is all I can say. Acura, I have news for you, it gets hot in Arizona and cars will encounter debris on roads. Your design should withstand both. Own up to your mistakes in designs and fix our cars.

I bought the Acura MDX 2014 three months ago, the LED tail light does not work. I took it to the Cerritos Acura dealer for repair (2 times) and they told me the warranty is void because I have one very minor scratch at the light. DO NOT BUY THIS VEHICLE.... HONDA is trying to void your warranty and they wont admitted it is engineering problem.

There were many body styles, years and color selections. I preferred a more modern style. Deciding between a smaller sized car or a bigger heavy duty one was the hardest thing. They have some that are cramped feeling but then they have spacious ones, from two to six passengers depending on the model you choose. There were different features available for different models. They had a trade in options, and great payment options. And a lot of customizing options.

Would not recommend Acura/Honda to anyone! They are the worst. I purchased a 2018 Acura MDX in Aug 2018 from Paragon Acura and I have been having problems with the vehicle since September 2018. First the car would not move when I put it into reverse or drive. When I finally got it to move it started making a grinding noise. I took it to Island Acura and they said my transmission is overfilled with transmission oil. They drain it to the right level. When leaving I heard a winding noise coming at low speed and decelerations. Took it back to the Island Acura and they said its coming from the transmission and front diff. They refused to work on the MDX bc I did not buy the car from them and said I have to take it back to where I bought it from. I took it back to Paragon Acura and they kept my MDX for over 3 weeks and did not resolve the issue instead they caused more of an issue. They return my MDX with damages. When I reach out to Paragon about the situation they said they will contact me back within 15 mins and they never did. I had to reach out to them the next day. I contact Acura cooperate and them seem to not care at all. My car only has 2200 miles and it dont seem to be a problem with them. Still have transmission problems. My quarter panel, rear bumper, front bumper, driver door, and inside the front door jam have to be painted. Plus my car is filthy with some interior damages. I also received a parking tickets while my MDX was in for service at Paragon Acura. This is the worst car company I have ever dealt with. DONT EVER GET A HONDA/ACURA PRODUCT! NOR DEAL WITH PARAGON ACURA!

I have 2015 Acura MDX which I purchased from a reputed dealer in Houston. 4 months after 4000 miles things were going really well.. This part of the ownership happy!!! Then one fine day, it started developing tick sound when the vehicle was flexing as I move on uneven road. Things started getting little worse as days passed by. I took it to the dealer. After 2-3 days, dealer came back stating they cant fix the car. Acura rep. will come down and take a look. In the process, Acura rep damaged my car now it needs to go to a body shop.Acura assigned me case manager, and they never called me. After 10 times follow up there comes new case manager. Now the new case manager is no different, he would not solve the problem. After continuous follow-up and close a month of agony someone from corporate called me to say they will fix the car, but now they cant replace it and in turn they would pay me 2500$ for all the hardship that I been through. A brand new car lost its value as it been to a body shop and it will show up Carfax. Why the customer has to take a hit for Acura reps mistake. But Acura cares less. Never Buy an Acura unless you want to be a unhappy customer like me. I am selling out my car with loss of 2000$ after getting a new PORSCHE!!! AND I AM NOT GOING TO BUY ANOTHER ACURA NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE...

Similar to the other post on the Naperville dealership, Ive been a long time Honda/Acura owner with an 89 Prelude, 96 Prelude, 02 TL, 03 Pilot and 08 TL. This latest TL has been by far the worst. Right at the start, the passenger side A/C was not working and that is basically the only thing that was covered by warranty. The rear breaks wore out after 20k miles and when I took it in, I was told that it is a wearable item and they would charge me just to look at it. I have never had front brakes wear out after that short of a time period, much less, rear brakes. I have very little city driving. Find out why the back brakes are apparently locking up? No way, my problem. The latest problem deals with water leaking into the car. I took it into the dealership where they took a quick look and said I needed to schedule an appointment so they can spend more time on it. I scheduled the appointment and took it in. They spent half a day and could not find the problem. I just now took it in again to show them the problem as it was happening. They took a quick look and said they would have to run a diagnostic and charge me for it. Ridiculous. To show that it is not just the dealership, I called Acura (client relations, I believe) and their only comment was too bad, your fault for not spending your time going to other dealers, etc. because it is now out of warranty by a month (everyone delayed long enough I guess). After going round and round, I gave up and told her that this is ridiculous that Acura does not stand by their vehicles and this is the last Acura/Honda I will buy. Her only comment was that that is certainly my choice and I am welcome to do that. So anyone considering an Acura (owned by Honda), there you go. Buy their car and you are on your own.

I love everything about my Acura - from all of the safety features to the the storage to the comfort. The speakers are top of the line and the stereo sounds wonderful. You can upgrade OnStar and Sirius radio which is awesome. I love the color, the seats are very comfortable and the trunk has a wonderful space. Seat warmers and camera options can also be upgraded which is really cool as well. Not only do you have the standard 4 seats but you have to appreciate the middle seating being very spacious. Your guests have lots of leg space. Youll love this car.

I will definitely be buying another Acura when I decide to buy another vehicle. I love the backup camera. The technology package is amazing. I like having a built in gps. I like the driver one and driver two settings so the car is always set for my favorites when it recognizes my key. The gas mileage could be a little better though.

When I met my husband, he was driving an Acura TL. We used that car for a long time. It was gorgeous outside. The inside was spacious and comfortable and fit two childrens car seats comfortably. We decided we wanted more room in the trunk area because we have to take a lot of kid gear and suitcases when we travel. We got the Acura MDX. I drive it. Its an SUV, but its boxy squared off looking. Its more rounded and soft looking like a car. I have mine in a burgundy red. Inside is like a camel tan color leather seats. It has very tinted windows. The built in navigation is really nice. The navigation screen and radio screen is huge and very easy to operate. I like that I can control the radio with the buttons on the steering wheel. There is a third row that folds down. I keep it permanently folded down because we only have two kids. It is easy to fit in two car seats in the second row and would be easy to fit three. On the rare occasion that we do have the third row up it has sat three full sized adults in the third row comfortably. There is also a ton of room in the trunk. When I had to have my car serviced last month we got a loaner car. They gave us the Acura RDX. Its nice, but not quite as nice as the MDX and feels really cramped in comparison inside.

Many models to choose and I liked the way the car moved on the road because the way it drove was colorful and bright and lovely and swerve so really today I will drive to work forever. So many features of this car to deal with. It was so cool to put the windows down and ride around in the fancy car with the leather seats and carpeting to dress up the fur. Got to upgrade all elements with leather seats and heaters and sunroof and satellite radio and automatic windows and trunk space and tires. You can fit so many people in the car. It is almost like you are going to the zoo and take your whole family.

I have a 2015 Acura MDX that I purchased brand new and it has been garage kept ever since. The paint on the roof started to peel and slough off right above the front windshield between the windshield and the sunroof. I contacted the dealership that I bought the car from, and I was informed that this was a factory defect on this model and make car that they were aware of and they had extended the paint warranty. They did tell me that they would repair the defective area and this would take about 7 to 10 day. I asked for a rental or a loaner car but they said that their policy regarding extended warranties did not cover loaners or rentals. Due to this policy, I knew I would have to fork out several hundred dollar to pay for a rental car. Ok, I agreed to bring my car in to have the defect repaired and pay for my own rental. Three weeks later, when I went to drop my car off at Acura, I was informed by the service manager that there was a possibility that my windshield would break because it would have to be removed to properly fix the defective area. He did tell me that, if the windshield broke, it would be my responsibility and he recommended that in the event that this happened, I should file a claim with my insurance company. They did give me the option to have it painted without removing the windshield but that would void any further warranty on the paint job. My windshield was in good condition when I brought my car in to be painted. It had two small stars on it that had been previously repaired. The windshield did break during the repair and I was then forced to make a claim with my insurance and paid the $1000 deductible. In the end, I have had to pay my insurance deductible and the cost of a rental car for a week due to a defective paint job by Acura. I am now hoping my insurance company does not penalize me with higher rates.

I drive an Acura MDX 2016, great car, and we are a family of Acura obsession. I met with an accident the first week of August 2021 and today it is December 9th, 2021. My car is at the body shop to date since Acura failed to supply the parts for repair (every time the date gets pushed for another month). I have called Acura customer support asking to speak to a supervisor for the past four months. Every time, I was told they were too busy or unavailable (are they unavailable or cowardly behavior by refusing the answer escalated concerns?). Requested for a follow-up phone call NOT an email. However, all I received was scripted generic mail for every call I made. Finally, today spoke to the supervisor, explained all the detail and all I hear is sorry. Now, I have paid over $9000 on rental. The only solution I have received is sorry from Acura. I would refer to Acuras supervisor’s customer service as a meaning of worst customer experience in the dictionary.

Vehicle Mileage: 17997. Description: I recently purchased (5/24/2017) a 2016 Acura ILX. Im very disappointed to say the least. This car is expensive and Doesnt even offer a satellite radio. Also when driving I cant access my phonebook to make calls. I have to pick up my phone to call a number. I can only use voice call to call 15 stored speed dial numbers instead of being able to say call whomever. Whats the purpose of hands free when this car doesnt offer that. Also the name doesnt appear when a call comes through. Even though the contacts are downloaded into the system. I had all of these options in my Elantra before trading it in on what I thought would be better for me. A mistake I made because clearly more money doesnt mean better. Could this please be fixed?? Im so upset about my purchase and wish I could trade a brand new ILX back in for an Elantra that offers better quality. The phone system needs to be fixed in the ILX. I wouldnt recommend this car to anyone. Thank you for your time. Ive actually reached out to the CEO and he forwarded me to a representative whom was NO HELP. I actually asked them if they could upgrade this data system in the car or buy back their overly priced basic car... Im still stuck with this Car for 3 years.

Super dependable car and have never let me down. The gas mileage is super good for long rides... love all of the different styles and brands this car have to offers. And very spacious. I would recommend this car if you have a large family of at least 5. Lots of storage and very comfortable seat to ride with joy and peace. The passenger cap of mines is up to six people to sit. And another great thing that I like about it is that there still leg room to move around. The car that I have is more like a crossover and thats the great thing that I like about it the most. Having purchased 5 new Acura from Crest Acura in Syracuse NY I expected some consideration for being a very loyal sales and SERVICE customer. When considering purchase of a sixth Acura I encountered Jim **, a very disappointing encounter. Upon having my TL (purchased new at Crest and fully serviced at Crest) looked at for trade in, I was offered far less than book value. When I questioned this, I was told by Mr. ** that he couldnt pay more for my car than he could buy one for at an auction, no consideration for a one owner fully serviced Acura from his dealership. He then challenged me to visit a competing dealership to determine if I could get a better deal. I did and I did. Upon learning that I had traded elsewhere Mr. ** spent 5 minutes running my new vehicle into the ground and telling me how unhappy I will be. What a very sad individual he is. He could have saved a very loyal customer if he had used appropriate business protocol. An example: Im sorry you arent happy Joe, what can I do to correct the problem? No he acted like a spoiled child who didnt get his way and totally ruined a good relationship.Ive been in business for 35 years and have handled a number of complaints. Ive found that attacking the complainer, defending your behavior does nothing for the business except lose a potential client, something Mr. ** easily accomplished via his negative behavior. He could have saved me had he been a professional rather than a spoiled child who doesnt belong where he is. You can be right but wrong and you can be wrong and be wrong. Whos the real loser here?

Whether youre looking for a car with speed and lots of power or a family car, Acura has what you are looking for. They have any variety you could think of - minivans, compact cars, coupes, SUV. They include navigation systems, internal and outer cameras so you know you have a safe distance from others. You can personalize and add more options to your car such as style, color, extras included. They also have a lot of options for the right car for you. Whether you need lots of space or just a little, they have it all. I have 3 kids so I needed something with lots of space and I found exactly what I was looking for. Love these cars. When I finally was able to contact him again, he was totally unprepared to speak with me and said he would call back in another week. He did not.Apparently, this is not an isolated incident.
