Mercedes-AMG on Thursday unveiled another "Edition 55" model celebrating AMG's 55th anniversary, this time based on the CLA. The 2023 Mercedes-AMG CLA45 Edition 55 lands in the U.S. later this year, with production limited to just 55 units. Changes for this limited edition start with an AMG Aerodynamics package that adds a larger front splitter, additional flics, a new rear spoiler, and new rear air deflector elements. Finished in gloss black, these additions improve driving characteristics at high speed, Mercedes claims. 2023 Mercedes-AMG CLA45 Edition 55 Other styling elements include black chrome tailpipes, badges, and grille trim, special 19-inch wheels, and a silver chrome fuel filler cap. The only available color is Cosmos Black Metallic, with silver side graphics showing the AMG logo. The interior gets two-tone red-and-black nappa leather upholstery, a microfiber-covered steering wheel with "Edition 55" lettering and a black 12 o'clock marking, door sill panels with illuminated AMG logos, and brushed aluminum trim. A car cover is included as well. No mechanical changes were mentioned, but the AMG CLA45 already boasts a potent 2.0-liter turbo-4 producing 382 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Mercedes quotes a 4.0-second 0-60 mph time, while the top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. 2023 Mercedes-AMG CLA45 Edition 55 The AMG CLA45 is the second model to get the Edition 55 treatment. They signed on 8/30 but by September 3, I called and ask why they did not deposit the check. We will, when we get the check. 10 times I told the guy, You signed for the 4 days ago. Finally I ask to talk with his supervisor and I got put on hold. They ended up posting the check 9/3, the title and the overpayment was supposed to be relist on 5-7 days. I called 9/13, and got the same 5-7 days. I called today same answer 5-7 days. The representative today was more helpful than previous 2. Will see if this time works.

It give a sign of slippery road, refer to your manual. I was forced to steer to the side of the highway before the car came to a total stop. Must quickly turn on the ignition twice to restart the car. Sometimes it gives wrong warning like you should take a break now.... which is to warn that I am not driving straight.The car was sent back for service. A service man said was a small problem and they have fixed it alright.Unfortunately, it happened again. Now the car is in the service center again. It has been a month already but I they have not figured out what is the problem. Me and my family insist on returning the car. Terrifying Near-Death Experience! For the first few days, I did not hear from the service center until I sent an email to the head office in Malaysia, cc to head office in Germany. Immediately they called to say I could use their s-class Merz until the total diagnosis is done. I refused cos I want to return the default car. I cant sell my car in order to buy another but I am paying installment RM3000+++ I have sleepless night. They said depreciated write off cost would be very high if I am to sell the car. Why I need to bear all the cost? Been searching on the internet and I have found that there are similar cases happened to other Merz owners.

I am told today, that updating the software did not work which it took Mercedes 13 days to tell me that after already doing it over a month ago the first time. So, it appears it is a guessing game now, they say it may be the valve body or it could be this etc... nevertheless, it is in disrepair. I am currently driving a C300 loaner and while I am appreciative of the loaner, I did not buy a C300. I am making the payment for the S Class. The worst part is, they cannot tell me when they will have my car back to me.

Then the tires went bald at 5,000. Then the gym service manager Mark ** says the cars drivetrain can’t handle potholes and these types of problems are common with Mercedes Benz. Their insurance recommendation also refuses to cover this car. It’s been a nightmare as I also ran over the neighbors child as the car suddenly accelerated. Was told to leave the car running for 2 minutes before driving which obviously made no difference. The only excuse is they cannot replicate so they cannot help.Their insurance company says it makes no difference whether they can replicate the issue and should pull the unsafe vehicle from use. But instead they sent this email notifying me that they won’t help or resolve or even respond to the safety concerns “no guarantee that assistance will be provided.” Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is currently reviewing your request concerning the 2016 GLA250W4 bearing vehicle identification number **. We want to set a clear expectation that there is no guarantee that assistance will be provided. Our review process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks; during that time we will be evaluating a review of all repair orders, the number of down days related to those repairs, the overall repair history and your individual state’s statutes.

M-benz will hurt you. After my wife having a major electronic failure came home quite shaken just after leasing the Mercedes Benz sl63 AMG, I had the car checked. They said there were no error messages in the computer to collaborate her statements of the lights and the gauges going crazy inside and out of the car, with numerous error codes coming up. We later found out Mercedes Benz has their on board computer set to reboot with critical failure there by wiping the memory clean of the event. After other numerous electronic failures and not getting Mercedes to fix or even acknowledge them, even with photos and video, we were almost killed one night on the open highway on Oct 7 2013 when the same event that happened to wife finally occurred with me in the car. When the electronics went on rampage and freak-out lights flashing, bells dinging, flashing error codes and emergency message causing me to try to get the car on the shoulder of the road, I struck a piece of tire left on the road probably by a truck. It took the whole front of the car out. After 6 weeks of waiting for our car I called Fletcher Jones in Nevada. They told me they could not get the error codes to clear but not to worry, they were going to get it cleared up. 2 weeks later we got the car. I asked what it took to get the codes cleared up, he smiled and said the tech crashed the on board computer and it reset itself. When we drove the car back home from Vegas we had transmission trouble and error codes. I called Fletcher Jones in Las Vegas Nevada. They told me to take the car to Fletcher Jones in Ontario, 15 miles from our home in Verdemont CA. They kept the car for a few days and when they returned it they said there was nothing wrong with the transmission and there were no error codes. After several trips back to the dealership, half of the time they would not take the car. They refused to keep it till it was fixed and they would call me when the part came in. Before the part came in we were informed that my father in-law was on his death bed. I called, explained the situation and asked if they could expedite the part so we could take the car back east. I was informed by party dial that their main tech guy, George, said the car was safe to take back east the way it was.On our way out to pa, when we reached Flagstaff we started to have problems with the trunk not closing and the trunk opening while driving on the highway. By St Louis we had electrical problems and the trunk would not lock or close after opening. We drove to pa with trunk wired shut. While in pa the car was at Mercedes 4 times in 5 weeks. We were forced to stay an extra week waiting for parts to come in. We were told that the electronics were screwed up in the front of the car. Just outside to Amarillo Texas the same thing happened with the electronics that caused the accident and damage to the front of the car in October 7 2013. This time we caught it on video. We almost made it to the side of the road just before the car stopped running and went dark. The car coasted to a stop. We had no cell reception. We waited in the car for awhile. Out of desperation I tried to start the car and it sprang to life like nothing happened. Thank god we got this on video. It DID not matter to Mercedes Benz when I sent the video to Fletcher Jones in Ontario. They said not to bring in the car, they would show the video and Mercedes Benz and get back to us. They never DID!!! So much for the mantra the best or nothing.

The cars engine warning light continues to come on, which often (though not always) signals some big problems with the car.The service guy at CalStar Motors Mercedes in Glendale, CA just told her today (the 5th day the car has been in the shop this time) that they cannot figure out what is the cause of the problem. They have (again) replaced the engine sensor, but said, We can give you no assurance that the problem wont occur again, given that we don’t know what is wrong. Let me tell you, what an awful ride and the number of issues I have had with this car…. this should be considered a Lemon. Complained to head office, service department and searched the internet…so much wasted time back & forth from the dealer. For the amount of money, I have spent I wish I never got this car. Mercedes has left a bad taste in my mouth and I could not even recommend them to a friend. Issue – Engine stalling, noisy engine, power window issues, awful ride (even confirmed by the shop manager), broken wiper handle, driver seat not staying in place, door leds blown, the new navigation/radio functionality not working properly, and so on….For an E-Class and the price tag, it is not worth it.

I have had two cars now of Mercedes in 2 and a half years. The first one was one of the red ones that they have known about for 4 years and still carried on spraying with this faulty paint. I had not much success with the warranty procedure to the degree that they only wanted to respray the panels affected, this happen to be everywhere apart from one side I argued for a full respray as the car was showing signs of getting worse by the week. I got so fed up that believe it or not I traded it in and got another one. This one was involved in a accident that involved the bonnet needing slight fill and respray. I was told it at to go to a Mercedes approved spray shop so of it went to Looker of Maidstone Kent where the first week it was sent back to me on a transporter. I did not let it be unloaded as it had scratches and chips in the new paint work. Back it went for another week. I was called and told it was ready for collection and when I got there the bonnet was not put on the car straight and the paint work still not good. They told me they had resprayed the whole bonnet but this was a lie as when I spoke to the guy that sprayed it, he said he only went across 3/4 of the way, they also told us they had replaced parts, they hadnt. They also managed to damage one of my alloy wheels in transport which was refurbished. I still think I should have got a new wheel as there was nothing wrong with it when it went in. After week three I got it back. I am still not happy with it as when washing it I have a circular mark on the bonnet. I sent all my correspondence to Mercedes Benz and after 5 days they have told me they are not prepared to compensate me other than the free labor only offered on my next service. They cant understand why I am unhappy and have told me that I have to go to the ombudsman. This is unreal from a so called premium branded company. Anyone that can help me get this out on the internet as they seem to think they are untouchable by the man on the street. My main bit of advice dont buy a Mercedes if you are expecting a good customer service and after care. Poor poor poor.

Ive had numerous Mercedes and have never had this problem. I dont drive in the city, dont have speed bumps where I go. Mercedes say warrant doesnt cover this. Mercedes is only a name. The quality of their cars a lower than HONDA. You pay all this money and get nothing. The extended warranty is a hoax. How do you have an extended warranty that ends and you havent used your original warranty. Then there is no warranty. Any car you buy now gives more than Mercedes. Its just the name, the car is overpriced and overrated.

This is a known issue to MB since 2013. MB has been quietly fixing the cars and has even discontinued the Mars Red. My car is 2014 and has less than 50K. While it was in the shop Hendricks auto gave us an estimate of 5500 to fix the issue. MB said Henricks of Hickory were not OEM authorized so sent us the Hendricks in Charlotte whose estimate was 6500. Same company 2 different prices for estimates. MB called us and told us they were willing to pay 1500 prorated. Granted had we known we would have not bought this car, Mercedes knew though. The dealer even said the some of the local car dealers will still sell the damaged cars and tell customers to go to MB, he basically gave us a heads up that MB was not going to do much if anything at all. The local dealers are not the only one MB was still selling the cars with the MARS RED paint and did not discontinue the color until 2017, shame on you MB. I can say my dealer is someone I have been dealing with for the past 15 years. We have bought at least 10 cars there so I trust him. I am very disappointed in MB and have already decided to buy a Range Rover. I will no longer support a brand that does not stand behind their product and fleece their customers. This says to me MB does not give a damn because people are still going to buy, even their substandard products, the dealer basically said the MB dont care about their customers once the purchase is made. I am going to reach out to Action 9 news and have also filed a complaint with the BBB.

Early April rolled by and the weather was warmer time to change the tires, this is when it started like a ** show, my first appointment was today May 29th 2018, requested a pickup and leave a loaner vehicle. We live 2 km away. Abruptly was told NO DON’T OFFER THAT SERVICE”. Went there for my 7.30 AM appointment, the staff opened the door at exactly 7.30am, No greeting other than running in circles getting the staff papers ready to do the staff job, then a HALLLLO no face to face contact. Impolite then I was reprimanded that I was early YOUR APPOINTMENT IS 7.45”. Is there a charge $70.00. You’re kidding. Im not paying to have my tires put back on, WELL YOU BETTER TALK TO ANOTHER STAFF. In the meanwhile other staff are coming to work and exercising their legs getting limbered up for their job but nobody, says hello or BOO. Then Mr STAFF, came by 30 minutes later MR SHUTERMANN, non polite no effort to even come close to pronouncing my name. Then it even got stupider, Mr Staff WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO WITH YOUR TIRES. Now Im asking, “Is this a joke”, for 15 minutes’ worth of work Im there an hour now. My other issues about the car fuse cover keeps falling off and the front hood had permanent paint discoloring, when this was shown, Mr Staff YOU DONT KEEP YOUR CAR VERY CLEAN DO YOU. Now we really get bazaar. MR STAFF says YOU’RE CRITICIZING ME PERSONALLY. Wow now we’re going down a really dangerous ** path unbelievable, the ** show continues. Then Mr Staff asked me WHAT DO I DO FOR A LIVING. I expect an apology from senior Mercedes management. Completely unbelievable.

I submitted a letter to the dealer and they told me that they have not received answer from Mercedes. To date, we have seven Mercedes vehicles and none of these had experienced problems before or had manufacturers defects except for this Class A-190. The vehicles we own are: one Class ML 350, two Classes ML 500, one Class A 190, one Class C, and one Smart.The only reason we have continued with the brand was the durability and the confidence that the vehicles gave us; it was reliable, as what I used to say. The vehicle, Class A-190, which has the problem has just 30,000.00 miles. I cannot conceive that a Mercedes has major problems with such a short mileage. I insist that the only reason Im still buying Mercedes is because of the supposed level of quality and service life of the vehicles. I hereby, request this to be reported to the plant in Germany and to repair the vehicle at no cost. Its not a Chevy, GM or a Ford; its a Mercedes. Its what the vendor say when you are paying extra money for a Mercedes, and it should last as a Mercedes. My wife almost never use this car. If this is what we expect from the brand, it is cheaper to buy an Atos or any other car and change it every three years. I have been its most faithful advertiser because I always trusted the brand. I hope this will be resolved. 30,000.00 miles are nothing for a Mercedes transmission. I definitely want to stay with them but in no way I will accept them trying to rip me off. This transmission came defective from the beginning. Four years ago, we started to buy other brands for a couple of problems we had with the service; while Ford and GM, are still a mess, at least Toyota has given us good service. Last year, we bought back with them the Class C and the Smart. A couple of days ago, we were evaluating to buy another Class ML-500, but after this, we do not know what to think. It really upsets me that Mercedes ends up being as good as a Chevy and in theory charges me extra money for a quality that does not exist. Please give me a favorable solution to this issue as quickly as possible. If not, then tell me what to do.I wont buy a Mercedez Again and I will suggest that everybody chose another brand.

I really loved the look and feel of the CLA 250 and thought I would test drive it. I was hooked. I bought the car on the spot. Great sales and finance support. No issues there. However, after about 8000 miles, the car started to have issues with the brakes, electrical system and front end, which I am sorry to say, I was forced to document meticulously, wasting numerous hours. To make a long story short, I was treated so poorly it was staggering. And by a Mercedes dealership, which I really didnt expect. I have owned the car for a little over a year; it has been in the shop about two months out of that time and still is not driving correctly. The service manager and general manager are not only unhelpful, but downright rude. Stay away from these guys.

I have been in contact with the firm after that till I finally received a letter from the firm that the vehicle is ready for delivery and I was advised to deposit the balance amount, to which I agreed. Thereupon, I visited the firms showroom on October 4, 2011 to settle the payments and have a look at my vehicle. I was shocked to see that the vehicle shown to me was not as per agreed specs, most importantly; its color. The agreed color, which was also mentioned in all correspondence between me and the firm, was Magnetite Black while the vehicle shown to me was white.When I told the firm that this vehicle is not as per agreed specs, they tried to threaten me and asked me to sign an amendment of our agreement to change agreed specs for accommodating the vehicle shown to me instead of supplying me a vehicle with pre-agreed specs. I, nevertheless, remained steadfast and refused to sign any amendment in agreement despite their threats of extreme consequences, in the presence of their armed guards as a symbol of threat. The firm has gone beyond limits by communicating with me that my down payment is being forfeited on charges of not conforming to the agreement on my part. On the contrary, I confirmed to pay the balance amount vide my email in response to the firms letter to me informing me that vehicle is ready for delivery. I only refused to pay after looking at the vehicle that was not as per agreed specs.The objective of narrating above facts, and enclosing all the relevant documents and correspondence between me and the firm, is to bring to your notice as to what kind of customer dealing is being undertaken by the firm authorized to represent an esteemed brand Merced Benz in Pakistan. I attempted to give a jump start to another driver at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak and my beautiful SUV started displaying “Inoperable”. I called Roadside Assistance and Michael from the Bloomfield Hills location came to my rescue, literally. Michael, was great. He diagnosed the issue with my SUV. He stayed with me and explained the issue to the towing companies. His expertise and professionalism was phenomenal. Michael use his expertise to force my car into neutral even though another Mercedes representative stated that it couldn’t be done. My SUV was dropped-off Sunday evening at the Novi location near my home. Michael called me Monday morning to inform me that he explained what was going on with my SUV to the service tech at the Novi location. I called the Bloomfield Hills location to inform the Manager, Steve on how great Michael has been to me. I told Steve that because of Michael’s great customer service skills I wouldn’t mind staying with the Mercedes brand. The Bad & the Ugly-I arrived at the Novi location at 9:00AM to see what was going on with my GLE-350. I was greeted by Serica, so I asked about the status of my SUV. Serica told me she just started at 9:00AM as she checked her computer. Serica stated that it was assigned to a technician and without an appointment I was lucky to get in. Also, that she would call me with any updates. I thought to myself since I’m already here why wouldn’t she ask the technician the status. Two minute after I left, Serica called and told me the parts had to be ordered and that it would take 4 days. I asked Serica for a loaner car.Four days was a long time and I need a car for work. Serica, stated that no cars were available and that I would have had to book a car two weeks in advance. If I would have known two weeks ago that I was going to blow a fuse in my SUV then I would have planned. I called again on Tuesday, and asked for a Manager. I spoke with Johnathan to see if I could get a loaner car for work. I was highly disappointed in the customer service at the Novi location. Johnathan haven’t returned my call from 9:30AM Tuesday morning.On the other, Serica called to tell me that they are hoping to receive the part sooner than 4 days. In the meantime, I have a credit on my account because I paid my SUV bill for the remaining year with no car to drive. I truly expected Mercedes customer service to be best-in-class. I have driven an Acura for years and Acura’s customer service is top-of the-line. I really thought with a slogan like “Drive the best or nothing”’ the customer service would surpass the rest and be the best, boy was I wrong.

We were so fed up with it that we just went ahead and paid for it. I picked up my car a couple of days later and started driving, and it seemed fine. The next day, the problem arose again, except the shaking became extremely worse. At this point, I dont even know what to do with this vehicle, and am so shocked that we paid $1,600 and nothing was fixed. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A MERCEDES. I own a Toyota truck and have received extremely better service paying less than half the price!! Not worth it!! Go for a Lexus or Acura instead!

We spent all that money with an expectation of safety, reliability and the peace of mind promised by mercedes benzs multi point inspection, warranty up to 50,000 miles and the extra repair package that we purchased. Recently we noticed that when we first start driving the car has a noise on the right side, the noise is most noticeable when applying the brake and when releasing the brake. On December 2nd, we took the car to Mercedes Benz of Valencia and to say that the service department staff was UNWILLING TO HELP is a gross understatement. The service manager was derelict of his responsibility. First he said there was no loaner vehicle available therefore, no one could examine our car, when in fact I had called twice to confirm that a loan vehicle would be available to us when making the appointment. Then second he said nothing could be done to examine the noise in our car because the car had been in an accident, therefore warranty was not attached, but could not show me any of that in writing. Further, the accident was a minor one with only minor body damage which amounted to a $3,400 repair job and no engine damage was sustained. We stressed on multiple occasions that we needed to establish whether the noise was engine related or a result of accident related body damage. They eventually did agree to keep the car for examination, they called the following day on December 3rd and told us to come and get the car. Bill the service representative stated that they heard the noise when applying the brake and said there is nothing they can do because the brakes on the car are new and that they do not know what is causing the noise nor what could be wrong with the car. We are concerned and, worried about our safety, not to mention flabbergasted that the auto manufacturers employees are unwilling to diagnose the problem and are demonstrating a blatant disregard for brand integrity or customer safety. There was no report given to on what type of examination or assessment if any at all was performed on the car. There was no print out of areas examined and findings observed, it appears they kept or car overnight and called us in the morning to fetch it. Given that brakes are a very important part of vehicle operation we are shocked that the service department has displayed such a lackadaisical attitude towards a potential safety risk. We purchased the car which has up to 50,000 mile warranty or 7 years whichever occurs first and the additional repair package for peace of mind expecting to get the proper service that would address any issues and instead we were told by the vehicle manufacturer service department that there is nothing they can do and further they do not know what is causing the malfunction in a car manufactured by Mercedes and covered by a 50,000 mile warranty. There is something very wrong with that.

I then tried to renew my registration in another state; I needed the title and power of attorney, and Mercedes sent a copy.. the DMV needed to original paperwork. Twice copies were sent. I RS now almost May 2020, been waiting to register my car since March. I’ve been paying for a rental for well over a month. Now with the Covid-19 epidemic DMV is closed. If Mercedes would have sent the documents in the first place I would be registered already. Then I was told I would have to pay over five hundred dollars for them to take back my lease car.. because I refuse to lease or purchase another Mercedes. My dream has been shattered and I’m extremely disappointed with Mercedes. Because after 1 week of having this vehicle its been a sequence of malfunctions and headaches! Its been HELL and in the service department over 11 times 6 of them for the same thing!!! After so many trips to the dealer, have them check it, have the computers check it, have MB expert Techs check it, after so many conversations with so many managers, in the service dpt. at Alex-Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz in League City, TX and a case a manager Jennifer in customer service @ Mercedes Benz North America, NOTHING has been found by their computers. In other words Mercedes Benz mechanics, techs call them whatever you wish are only computer error codes readers and parts changers! They have no idea of the problems unless their PRECIOUS computer tells them whats wrong with the vehicles! I am exhausted, ready for another heart attack!Its not only all the inconveniences and stress this has caused my family, myself and my work, its also and the most important part of this problem, OUR SAFETY!!! Warning light comes on: a) Front Passenger Airbag Disabled, See Operators Manual; b) Front Passenger Airbag Enabled, See Operators Manual; c) ESP warning light also comes on (ESP stands for Electronic Stability Program)!!! The manual instructs you to take it to nearest dealer A.S.A.P. Mercedes-Benz does not want to honor their factory guarantee 4 years, 40,000 miles! According to Jennifer (case manager) at Mercedes-Benz North America Im not under factory guarantee, this vehicle today has 30,221 miles! I also have the Certified Pre-Owned warranty, this is meaningless to them! I have asked time and time again to exchange this vehicle that we are very scared to drive! God forbid theres an accident and the passenger in my vehicle get seriously hurt or worst, there is no money in the world to recompense a loss of a loved one!!!Ive asked all of them managers to write me a letter and guarantee me that the airbags will deploy in case of an accident and they all declined! I tried to speak with Mercedes Benz of Greenway (this is where I purchased this LEMON) and to add insult to misery, they wanted to make even more money off from me! They are a total joke! For 2 months they told me they couldn’t figure out the problem. They said every test came back good but they think it might be the hybrid battery. I then was told it may be covered by a state warranty or by Mercedes. I started pricing the battery and it was roughly $5000. I was just preparing myself to pay. I continue to call and they continue to not have an answer for me but they kept me in a loaner for 2 months. Then one day out the blue my service rep called me and said it wasn’t covered under warranty. He told me that it was going to cost $11,000 for the repair. After getting off the phone with him to make the decision if I want to pay or not, I called back to see what that price covered and was told it’s for the battery. A day later I received an email with the statement of charges. That’s when I saw they need to replace something else. They need to replace the Power Electronic Module. I found this weird and called my service rep who was now out of town. So this when things really got fishy to me. I then did a google search about the part and found that it had a Service Campaign Announcement that came out in 2012. I then call Mercedes to see if my car was on that list to be replaced. I was told no I wasn’t on the list but later I called and was told just I was on the list. That when I asked why it’s not covered. I was then told it was covered because the warranty had expired. I told them that the Service Campaign for repair said it was indefinite. They said they had to call the manufacture. Days later I called corporate about the issue and was told they could give me a discount on a car. That they would not honor their Service Campaign announcement. I contacted the office of Consumers. They contacted Mercedes and was then told that they already replaced. We then sent the car fax report over that should it hasn’t been replaced. Mercedes at this point sent a letter back refusing to comment anymore. So they put out expenses pre broken cars and expect to to fix them when they break. They lie and steal from their customers. I have fought overseas just to be ripped off. This is not the American way!

I asked then what was the purpose of the brake sensor light if by the time it went on, the brakes were so worn that it affected the rotors. The response was that I should have brought the car in for service earlier. I have had numerous problems with this car. The door for the gas tank fell off. The service agent accused me of breaking it off. Why I would do something like this, I am not sure. The rear seat belts continually get stuck, endangering the safety of my children. The console between the two front seat squeaks. The rear view mirror is loose. All minor problems, but something you do not anticipate in a car of this type.

I have to travel 40 km to work and back. I had to collect my car myself in Pretoria, 100 km from where I stay. Mercedes gave me a reason why the turbo failed each time and each time their comment was that it never happened before with a B class. If that is the true, it means my car is a defected car and actually should be replaced. They only give the reasons and stopped at that. Im not satisfied with just an answer from a company that is supposed to be one of the finest in the motor business. My husband bought me a Mercedes because its one of the best, but my trust in my vehicle on the road is ruined and I am scared for the next time the turbo fails, the car lost power and had a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust. My father has the same car and we had driven every iteration he has had over the years so we were very familiar with the car, and liked the way each of his drove. The car had issues as soon as we drove it off the lot, loose parts, noises in the trunk, and rough/unpredictable shifting of the transmission. The loose parts and noises were fixed when we took our new car in to the dealer 5 days after we picked it up. They also replaced the rear tires. The car still shook and shifted roughly. So since the dealer we bought it from still had our traded vehicle, I suggested it would be best for all involved to return the car and we would leave with our trade but they refused. I contacted MB corporate and wrote letters to the President of MB North America. I was told to continue to bring the car in for service since that was what the warranty is for, but I find this completely unacceptable for such a pricey car. In almost of a year of having this car weve only driven 4500 miles because we feel the car is unsafe to drive. We pursued a lemon-law case, but since the descriptions on the repair orders are written by different people who are interpreting the problems the best they can in limited space, and since the shifting issues are intermittent, the Board ruled against us even though the car exhibited the unpredictable shifting/acceleration on the way to the hearing. We have been treated poorly by the dealer we leased the car from, and from MB Corporate who makes the Customer feel like there is no real issue with the car even though a search has revealed that the 7 speed transmission in these cars are not working correctly. Weve asked that MB re-purchase the car so we can get something that performs properly and that we feel safe driving. My wife has had issues on the highway because of the unpredictable acceleration of the car, when you expect to pass or avoid a car and you press on the gas, sometimes the car does not initially respond, and then lurch forward unpredictably. One of the board members hearing our case stated that modern cars exhibit a 2 to 3 second delay when accelerating because they are not connected to the carburetor the way older cars were which is just nonsense, but thats who is reviewing these things. I am shocked at how MB treats their Customers. I never received a response from the President of MB NA by the way. I can provide all my e-mails, letters, and repair orders if needed. MB portrays themselves as a premium brand but they treat their customers poorly and step all over them with a legal team and experts who can easily confuse board members hearing lemon cases. MB could have taken back this lemon and I would have purchased a more expensive model if they were good business people, but they are more interested in forcing the Customer to pay for a sub-standard car so that they can hold on to their image as a prestige brand which in my experience it is not. Ive had Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, and Mercedes automobiles and Ive never had anything close to this type of experience. We continue to bring the car to the dealer which has been a major inconvenience and not what you expect from a brand new car.

The dealer told me that it was the oil cooler seal which is a completely different thing. The problem wasnt really solved since I found the car still had an oil leak the next day and had to send it back to the dealer again.The worst thing was when I picked up the car on August 10, 2016. There was a big crack found on the windshield which was not on the car when I dropped it off at the dealership. Jeff, a customer service mgr, immediately denied and said that it wasnt their responsibility without even investigating the problem thoroughly. I was told that they can only replace the windshield at my own cost, and has formed no room for negotiation. Followed by a conversation with Doug, an operation mgr, who insisted that they wouldnt take responsibility, but would like to share the cost. After a couple of hours of discussion, the thing turned out to a disagreement of what they offered as I strongly think my car was under the dealers roof when it was being repaired. The dealers must be responsible for the problem they caused. How come I have to pay the damage that I didnt do anything about! The issues just keep coming with this dealer.These guys hang up phones, and even impolitely terminated the conversation and left me alone in the office. I felt bullied when they said, We will only give you this offer whether you accept it or not, the offer is firm and unchanged. I dont need any offer. What I need is the full compensation for the damage occurred at the dealer shop!

I was not overly happy but having liked the car and fancying a change from BMW purchased the car.My disappointment came when first using the car and finding that the equipment provided in the car was not compatible with my iPhone 6! I had to buy a converter!!!! Then, because of this the connection was not good and of course the connectivity keeps failing due to signal fall out!! I have never been so frustrated and nearly crashed the car fiddling with the equipment! I was unaware DAB was an optional extra AT 2,000!!!! Which I have since been told it will cost me. Customer service were not helpful, just telling me it was an option at purchase? I would happily exchange my Mercedes for a BMW given the chance. It has been a 6 weeks since I took delivery of the car and it looks like I will have to pay to have a conversation? Its a joke!!

They found a few particles of something that was never identified residue in the fuel tank. I also found out the prior owner had check engine light issues also. RBM and Mercedes corporate determined it must be something I put in there and it contaminated the whole fuel system and now it needed $15,000 worth of repairs (whole fuel system needed replacement). I had driven it 700 miles and put 2 tanks of fuel in it. They refused to fix it. I did a lot of research on the internet.They charged me over $1,000 for cleaning out the tank and fuel lines and I left. I took it to an independent Diesel mechanic who tested the injector pump and said it wasnt putting out enough pressure. He replace it and the lift pump in the tank. Cost for repair was $2700. Pump was a warranty item. There was nothing in the old pump. It was just defective. Dealer and Mercedes misdiagnosed the problem and will not pay the repair. They insist they were right. The woman I spoke to at Mercedes was arrogant and didnt give a crap what I had to say or what I could prove. If you’re thinking of buying a Mercedes- dont. Buy a different Vehicle. This will be my last Mercedes.

They fixed it.Then the car would just stop. It would come to a complete stop and shut off and not turn back on, another fix they said. After that, the engine, apparently for a year, I have been driving around with faulty Pistons. For some reason after all the time my car has spent there, they did not realize that the pistons were faulty, so my car would make a loud whirring noise. At that point I contacted Mercedes-Benz USA for the 4th time and they said they would look into it. Within hours of getting my car back, it had the same problem. More loud whirling and do you know what those amazing lovely people at Mercedes-Benz USA would tell me? We can offer you one months worth of payments for all your troubles.Yet my car is constantly going to need repairs and they are unwilling to either replace the car, terminate the financial agreement or buy me out of the car which I was willing to pay for another one. I just do not feel safe having me or my daughter in the car with so many problems. They do not care about the fact the car is going to need constant repairs because its under warranty. We pulled over the car and realized our run flats were of no use anymore. We tried to move our car further down the roadside aisle but the car doesn’t move and shows the indicator as if its disabled. We called immediately to Mercedes Benz SOS call (A red button on top of our head in Mercedes Benz), They received our call and politely directed us on suggestions to press another wrench button to reach roadside assistance. We followed their instructions. We called for RoadSide assistance for help.We had a conversation with roadside assistance for 15 minutes and gave our location along with mile marker. We been requested several times by our Mercedes Benz on our location, We shared what we know as we are nowhere in the middle of desert and don’t know exact location where we are other than our Mobile Phone provided coordinates. They recorded information and said that they are going to look for a toll truck guy to pull our car near to Henderson Las Vegas Mercedes Benz Showroom.We requested either for a loaner or provide a rental car as the toll truck doesn’t pick 4 people due to their policy constraints. We made it clear that we are ready to pay for those services as Safety is much priority at this moment as we are in middle of highway. To our Surprise, Mercedes Benz couldn’t offer a loaner nor rental. Instead they suggested to get a ride from a family member. (Who the hell on the world can give such a dumb response other than Mercedes Benz Call Center when they already know that we are 180 miles away from home location.)After waiting there for 2 hours and having several conversations with Mercedes Benz Call center, They called again to find our exact location as they couldn’t pinpoint our location. We immediately responded them by sending our Google maps locations. After an hour, We called them up again (around 7 pm) and realized that they might take another 1 hour to pick our car. So we made up our mind and said to come and tow as we are going to leave keys inside and lock the car.Here is the interesting part. As Mercedes Benz offers Lock and Unlock features through your mobile App from anywhere, I requested them to call me when they are about to pick my car so that I can unlock using my App. In that way, its safer to have keys inside of car and keys would help to start the engine. The customer service rep says that they are not sure whether that feature works. Bummer. Finally, we agreed to leave keys nearby front tire and leave the place. We called for Lyft and our pick up was ready in 15 minutes to take us to Vegas.Now the question arises on the products of Mercedes Benz. 1. How come Lyft able to pinpoint our location and render services in less than 15 minutes and dropped us safely to destined location whereas So called Advanced Machine Mercedes Benz couldn’t find its own location where it was stalled. 2. How come Lyft being an App operated able to provide best Customer service where as so-called Luxury vehicle Mercedes Benz doesn’t even know how to talk to its customers and provide some solution and get them to safe destination. 3. How come Mercedes Benz couldn’t offer a loaner car to its customers who are in needy (This is desperate state of being safe) than to promote on their brand.4. How come Henderson Las Vegas Mercedes Benz fail to understand the customer needs instead claim as if their cars is good to move on run flats for another 50 miles. (When the car itself states as if its disabled and cannot move).After coming home, We realized as if AAA and Lyft are better than so called Luxury cars. It had Takata airbags so my wife refused to drive it while we waited a year or so for them to be replaced. While waiting, the passenger door lock stopped working so that the door would not open. $1000 repair. About the time the airbags were replaced during the last year two other messages occurred on the dash. Problem with driver seatbelt connection and problem with the passenger seat sensor. $2400 to repair. We are ready to sell it to avoid more repairs.

I will not be buying my future vehicles from them and so is my family. I only want to give my business to places that truly appreciate their customers and with lots of great competitors out there it will be easy to do. You dont want to be tricked, lied to, especially as a first time customer into something that will screw you later and they wont even care about it. In the meantime, they are calling every day for that May payment that they already had. I have never seen such Mafia techniques in any company in all my 69 years not to mention a poorly run financial department that cannot keep track of the payments that are made and lose some of them and then start harassing customers for their own mistakes. I would never buy a Mercedes Benz product just based on your financial services harassment tactics. There is no reason for this kind of treatment. For the S-500: Power steering unit at 60K; new fuel pump at 61K; new A/C at 61K; new auto door lock system at 65K; new ignition at 65K. Every part cost $800 plus and $150/hour in labor. Average repair cost is $2,500/month. Maintenance is also done every month. I drove one car with fingers crossed while the other was in the shop. Both cars are gone! Never ever again.

One of the main reasons I bought a Mercedes was because I thought they were supposed to be reliable cars. The only thing I have been able to rely on is that I will be in the shop every other month. On a positive note I took it in to the dealership for a fuel system problem that Mercedes were covering under an extended warranty and the service was great. They treated me very well, fed me and made me comfortable. And the car is a dream to drive when its working but I have a problem with the esp and some brake sensor now that is gonna cost me 2 grand bringing up the cost of repairs to near what I paid for the car in the first place in less than a year. There is no reason for anyone to buy a used Mercedes. The only people who can afford the repair costs of a Mercedes are the people who can afford a new Mercedes and if you can afford the repairs on a used Mercedes you should just buy a new Mercedes. Used Mercedes should just go straight to the junkyard so poor people like me dont get tricked into buying these money pits.

I took it to the dealer 2 years ago with that issue and now I am taking it back for another water leak due to the 2 rear coverings. Campaign 2008-020001 covers this exact problem on 211 models 2003-2006, which my car is. However, when my VIN was run at the dealer, it is supposedly not covered!? The service manager tells me it’s ridiculous, that it’s again more than obvious it’s the same problem or defect. Yet not covered. He suggested I call Mercedes and after an “investigation”, I was told nothing would be covered!? An investigation that included or predominately was decided over, the fact that I have stopped regularly servicing my car at the dealer! My car looks and runs like new other than this problem. In fact I researched it and found the recall because I wanted it perfect as to trade in or sell and replace it! So Mercedes wont cover a problem that has 1,000s of complaints pending with the NHTSA. I cannot fill my gas tank because if I do, the backseat (driver’s side) fills with fumes and my children complain. I pulled the backseat in the service area parking lot, and we opened the hatch and saw the gas sitting in the sender (see attached pic). It was like we were looking at the pictures attached to the campaign!!! Yet not covered!?I have owned 3 Mercedes Benz in my lifetime. I can honestly say that I firmly believe they are the best constructed, most reliable, and sharpest looking cars on the road. I have spent years telling everyone I know, anyone that would listen, that once you own a Mercedes Benz, you cant own any other car. And I routinely argue with my BMW loving best friend (a luxury car dealer) over which is the better vehicle. My car has reached 125k. Its time for a new Mercedes. If any part of you believes I will ever buy another Mercedes when the company will not in good faith fix my vehicle that is so obviously having a problem that is manufacturing defect, then you are out of your mind!Im no idiot. I realize if you have even bothered to read this far into the letter, the company could probably care less about one consumer. But you will have lost a truly faithful customer who wouldve never bought another brand. And whom will exhaust my fingers and wear out my iPad on every blog, website, complaint site, NHTSA hotline, and anywhere else I can to be sure that I will deter as many people as I can from ever buying a Mercedes because a multibillion dollar company didnt stand by their product, and fix a maybe $1,500 problem. After less than a year and just over 24K miles, the car had failed to accelerate with very noticeable knocking noise coming from engine compartment. My friend took it to Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn and was given a lame explanation of cause by water buildup. He was given an estimate of almost $30K to replace the whole engine assembly. How ridiculous! The price tag for the truck is about 60K and less than a year and under 25K miles later, it needs a new engine! I can never imagine a brand name like Mercedes-Benz would produce a subpar product like this and yet refuses to stand behind. I do not think it is the right approach to retain existing customers and attracting new customers. I would give 5 thumbs down if I had the choice.

If you search for an SUV of the small size like the GLC, you will see that there are many choices and the price seems to be all the same. We looked at GM as I also have a 20 year old Tahoe that I use to tow stuff. For the money the MB is comfortable and particularly nice looking for a car of the type (I will have to say kinda common) but it still has the status of driving a Mercedes. But in many cases we found it cheaper than other brands.As for my 21 year old SL it has 45k on the odometer and I have done all the maintenance like it was being driven every day and I havent thought twice to get in and take a long trip. It cost 102k 20 years ago and my house was a few bucks more, you have to treat it as a car built for speed and handling so expensive is the word to describe the car. Even though you can buy one for 4 thousand bucks, it is still a 100k car.The S55 is simply a great pleasure to drive with so much power and 3 feet between the front seats and the back seat. My only complaint is the model prior was in my opinion better looking but again you expect the car to perform as new and it will with proper fluid changes, brake, cooling etc. This car is as new and handles that way, if you wait for items to break then usually because of engineering many other parts will need repair. The best thing to say is taking care of these cars and learning how to do the maintenance will save money and also let you see problems that are required for a repair. Enough said.

Also, I called back asking to speak with someone else even asked for the General Manager and they said Ralph ** does not accept calls from customers? That was not customer service orientated at all. When I should not even pay a 200 tire it should have been replaced when its a tire leak. That is a bad tire which is not my fault. I was shocked on the customer service. Never had I had such horrible experience. One thing is that I would never buy another Mercedes ever again. That is only what I drive and would be the only car I drive, however they will lose a repeat loyal customer with this pity low class service. The case manager Justin did not even try to assist when I was not pleased with the situation, and they told me he doesnt report to anyone? That is false information and every customer has the right to speak with some else. They send me off with a defective bad tire which is not safe to commute in.

I’m sorry, but if this is true, they need better IT personal because millions of apps work perfectly well all the time. You will not receive any customer service and your level of frustration will increase exponentially with every call. The vehicle also lacks other ‘basic’ options such as a touchscreen radio/GPS, horrible voice recognition without your iPhone attached. (Thank God for Apple Play or the entire enter system would be basically useless!) The seat warmer and defroster does not come on automatically. On the rare occasion the remote start does work so after 10 minutes your windshield is still covered with ice, and I could go on with more issues but will stop there. I’ve always owned Jeep Grand Cherokees and wish more than anything I still did!!! Seriously, do not waste your money on a MB, read all the reviews carefully and save yourself the disappointment!

This is our fifth Mercedes starting in 2007 with an E320, a C320, E320 CDI, CLK350 and the current E350 Blutec. Each car was driven about 15,000 miles per year by both drivers, averaging 70% highway, 30% local. We have never had any problem with brakes, rotors or anything in that area. Our current Mercedes E350 Blutec has the sport package. On September 12, 2012, we had the front right tire replaced because we hit a pot hole that ruptured the sidewall of the tire. The tire was replaced by Quirk Mercedes of Bangor Maine, mileage 26,375.A summary of the succeeded maintenance By Brumos Mercedes of Jacksonville, FL follows: Service on October 17, 2012, car mileage 29339, for regular Flex A Diesel special. Right rear tire found to be worn bald. We ended up putting 3 new tires on the car. Total bill is $1,156.45. Service on November 12, 2012, car mileage 30,584. Incoming customer complaint: Very noticeable heavy vibration appears at most highway speeds. Service checked balance on all tires. The 3 that Brumos replaced checked okay. The RF tire that was replaced on September 14, 2012 by Quirk Mercedes of Bangor Maine needed to be rebalanced. Post service comment: There is a brake vibration at highway speeds coming from the front rotors. A cost estimate to replace both front brake rotors (brakes pulsate when applied) of $535.90. Total bill is $24.88. We now have a time period when we did not drive the Mercedes very much. Service on March 8, 2013, mileage 31,569. Note from last service visit: We discovered a noticeable vibration that appears when the brakes are applied at 35MPH and higher speeds. Customer has felt the same condition in the steering and in the drivers seat. The tech stated it needed front rotors. Service note 31580 found front brake rotors with excessive rotor run out causing a vibration when braking. The tech then replaced the front rotors, front pads and new sensor. Road checked okay. Bill total is $556.16. Our service advisor, who we like very much, informed us that the run out or warping is most likely caused by overheated brakes that cool unevenly such as keeping the brakes applied in the same spot after stopping or running through water with hot brakes. Nowhere in the Mercedes manual is this discussed.I would think that the excellence of German engineering would design rotors that would stand up to these conditions. I hesitate to declare a design flaw, but perhaps the design margins have been compromised for some other consideration. In any event, I really do not want to face another rotor replacement in another 30,000 miles.

BUT, the car handles beautifully, fit and finish is spectacular and the engine note from the twin turbo V-8 is out of this world. If you want a car that appears docile, feels luxurious and sedate, but performs and sounds like a car 10 times the price, then you may have found your match.

We bought a brand new E Class in 2008 and have had endless problems from day one. Our vehicle was purchased from Silver Star Motors in Kingston, Jamaica. Within the first couple of weeks a wrecker had to take it off the road as it had a problem with the air/gas mixture and lost power in the middle of the road. The next problem was that the vehicle came with a defective run flat indicator unit and cost us four Pirelli tires as the unit did not warn us about the loss of air pressure in the tires. We had to repair the sun roof as it had a rattling sound from day one. We had to replace a sensor in the driver side of the door handle. And just two weeks ago we were left in the middle of a busy round about as the car shut down for no apparent reason. Again a wrecker had to take it to the dealers. The problem again another unit fails to function. The gas gauge was showing us two bars of petrol below half and the tank was actually empty because again another unit on this brand new Mercedes malfunctioned! This vehicle has cost us a lot of money on repairs and it is just over three years old. We did not anticipate that a top of the line motor vehicle with such high ratings would give so much problem and so we would like to talk to someone to see what redress we can get. The history of the problems is with Silver Star Motors in Kingston. You can verify with them but we are totally disappointed and embarrassed and would love to know if we actually got a factory fault vehicle with so many malfunctioning units.

When you paid premium price for purchasing and routine maintenance of a MB 350E, you expect a solid car with good quality. You would be wrong! My 2011 MB 350E has shown poor quality of materials. The control buttons of the steering wheel were wrapped with a piece of plastics and starting smearing. Moreover, the car seat cover has been torn apart, while the main driver of the car is lighter than 120 lb and the car has been parked mostly in garages. You can see that in the attached photos. I have never seen a premium car deteriorated so early so fast. It seems that the car was built with too many low quality artificial materials, or plastics, and not built to last! Maybe MB is expecting people to spend money every other year to buy a new one. Well, with such poor quality, people may have to to buy a new car in a year or two after an MB, but another brand!
