2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia

The 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia is an Italian luxury sedan known for its striking design, spirited performance, and premium features.

With a strong focus on driving dynamics, it competes against top sports sedans while offering a unique blend of style and performance.

The Giulia also includes a high-performance Quadrifoglio version for enthusiasts craving extra power.

Powertrain and Performance

Base Engine: A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission

This setup allows for a smooth yet dynamic driving experience, reaching 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds.

Quadrifoglio: The 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 in the Quadrifoglio model produces 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque

This version focuses on high performance, with a 0-60 mph time of just 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph.

Drivetrain: The Giulia offers rear-wheel drive (RWD) as standard, with all-wheel drive (AWD) available on the base model for added traction and control.

AWD enhances handling, especially in various weather conditions.

Driving Modes: The Giulia features Dynamic, Natural, and Advanced Efficiency driving modes, adjusting engine response, suspension, and transmission for varied driving preferences.

Fuel Economy: The base model offers 24 MPG city and 33 MPG highway, making it reasonably efficient for a luxury sports sedan.

Interior and Features

Premium Materials: The Giulia's cabin is fitted with leather upholstery, real wood, and optional carbon fiber accents. Soft-touch materials and detailed craftsmanship reflect its luxury pedigree.

Seating: Sporty and comfortable seats with power adjustability and heating as standard. Higher trims offer ventilated front seats and Alcantara trim in the Quadrifoglio.

Technology: The Giulia is equipped with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay.

Android Auto, navigation, and wireless charging. The system is intuitive, though it may feel less cutting-edge compared to rivals.

Audio System: A 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system is available, offering excellent sound quality.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Standard Safety: The Giulia comes with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring.

Advanced Driver Assistance: The 2024 Giulia offers Level 2 autonomous driving features, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keeping assist, and highway assist to help drivers navigate with ease.

Exterior Design

Italian Styling: The Giulia boasts a distinctive exterior with Alfa Romeo’s signature V Scudetto grille, sleek Jewel Eye LED headlights, and sculpted body lines.

Its low, athletic stance enhances its sporty look.

Quadrifoglio Edition: The Quadrifoglio trim adds performance-enhancing exterior elements, such as a carbon fiber hood, front splitter, and quad exhaust outlets

Larger 19-inch alloy wheels and Brembo brakes improve both style and performance.

Driving Experience

Sporty and Engaging: The Giulia is known for its sharp handling and responsive steering.

The 50/50 weight distribution helps it feel balanced, and the adaptive suspension allows for a smooth ride without sacrificing performance.

Quadrifoglio Thrill: The high-performance Quadrifoglio model delivers an engaging driving experience, with exceptional power, agility, and a race-inspired driving mode for track enthusiasts.

Its active aerodynamics and carbon fiber components improve downforce and reduce weight.

Pricing and Trims

Giulia Sprint (Base): Estimated starting price is $45,000, offering a well-rounded package with key features and luxury finishes.

Ti: Adds more premium features and all-wheel-drive availability for around $50,000.

Quadrifoglio: The high-performance variant starts at around $80,000, offering additional power, aggressive styling, and enhanced driving dynamics.

Conclusion

The 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia blends style, luxury, and exhilarating performance.

The base model provides an engaging drive with all the luxury touches you'd expect in its class, while the Quadrifoglio offers extreme performance for those who crave power and excitement.

Its Italian charm and driver-focused nature set it apart from more traditional luxury sedans, making it a unique option in the premium market.

Their overpriced STELVIO 2019 13k miles let me down twice already for battery related problems. Electrical needed 2 trips to the garage and is still not working. Paint coming off the bumper and fuel van deforming. 1 day waiting and counting for being rescued after another electrical fail. 7 phone calls to an indifferent customer service could not spare me from waiting such a long time .... and that would be a Premium brand ? Alfa Romeo ... all show and no go,

I bought a new Stelvio Milano Editzione in September 2019.In May 2021 the brake pad warning light illuminated at 8,500 miles.Given the mileage, I assumed it was a fault with the warning light. When I took the car to my nearest dealer I was informed that the rear discs were heavily worn and pitted and that the rear pads had less than 1mm of friction material left. They also confirmed that they wouldnt be covered under the cars 5 year warranty which had been a key consideration in my buying process. The replacement cost was 575.I asked them to clarify why the rear pads and discs were effectively destroyed after only 8,500 miles, while the fronts - which do the bulk of the stopping - were virtually brand new. They were unable to provide an answer. As I needed the car back, I paid the repair bill and kept the displaced discs and pads for the inevitable argument. After contacting Alfa Romeo UK and eventually threatening them with court action, they agreed in writing on the 4th June to cover the replacement cost of the discs and 50% of the pads, amounting to 430.I provided them with my bank details on the 5th June.On the 6th July I had still not received the refund so emailed them again. On the 8th July I received a reply confirming that my refund would be made within 28 days.Perhaps predictably, this didnt happen.I therefore emailed them again on the 6th August which generated a call back to tell me they couldnt find a director to sign off my refund.I spent 50,000 with Alfa Romeo, yet after two months they apparently cant rustle up a 430 refund, as promised in writing???After a further month of getting the runaround but no money, Im now at the point where I feel I have no choice but to recover the monies via the courts.Alfa, I love my Stelvio. It does everything I want. its practical; quick; good in snow; and other than the brakes, has been utterly faultless. However what you laughingly refer as a premium brand customer service, truly stinks. So sad.
