Acura TLX PMC Edition Is A Hand-Built Special Inspired By The NSX
Posted On: July 1, 2022
Described as "the best performing Acura sedan ever," the Acura TLX Type S is a true return to form for the luxury automaker. Gunning for the popular German trio, the sports sedan hit the scene in 2021 with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that develops 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. As far as sedans go, the Type S is a joy to pilot - and a looker, too. rnBut that hasn't stopped Acura from improving the recipe. Acura has announced the introduction of the TLX Type S PMC Edition, a limited production variant inspired by the NSX. The PMC Edition will be made available in three premium colors (Long Beach Blue, Curva Red, and 130R White), all borrowed from the company's halo car. The PMC Edition also receives a few unique styling touches. The lightweight 20-inch wheels have been finished in a copper hue (a first for an Acura) while the roof and door handles have been painted Bernina black for a more sinister look. This works well with the exterior badging and exhaust finishers, also sporting a subtle black hue. Carbon fiber add-ons underlining the PMC Edition's sporting persona can be found on the rear spoiler, the diffuser, and the side skirts. The theme continues inside, where Acura fits the PMC Edition with carbon fiber interior trim. All models also receive illuminated door sills and Type S floor mats with contrast stitching. The interior ambiance is dictated by the exterior color: Curva Red receives an Ebony interior with red stitching; Long Blue Pearl gains a classy Orchid interior with blue stitching; and 130R gains a very Type R-like red cabin. All TLX Type S PMC Editions receive Milano leather upholstery with Ultrasuede inserts. The special edition also receives 255/35 Pirelli P-Zero tires, but we assume the V6 and ten-speed transmission will remain unchanged. That's no bad thing, as the Type S can hit 60 mph in five seconds flat. Inside, you'll find a plaque on the center console that marks this out as a special edition. And it really is something special - instead of nailing a few accessories to the Type S and calling it a day, Acura and PMC have elected to handcraft the sedan at its Ohio plant. Here, the Type S PMC Edition receives the same attention-to-detail lavished upon the NSX. Before being shipped to customers under a specially designed car cover, the sports sedan gets a dyno check and paint inspection. Acura did something similar with the RDX not too long ago, but it certainly didn't look at good as this. There's no mention of pricing, but the 2020 TLX PMC Edition (pictured above) retailed for $48,950. We expect the newcomer will be pricier than the regular $53,700 Type S seen below. Interested? Acura says orders will open later this year. You'd better act quickly, though - sedans this good-looking don't stick around on showroom floors for long.

I am faithful Honda buyer. Currently, I own a 97 Prelude, 08 Accord V6, 08 Pilot and a 07 Acura MDX. Of all these cars, the MDX has been the worst in quality. First, there was the left suspension that rattles at 12k miles. My dealership (Continental Acura of Naperville) took countless of trips to diagnose the problem; they replaced the whole front left suspension, rear left suspension, re-did the brakes and after 6 visits, it was determined that the battery holder was cracked. Now, the car has 33k miles and the oil sensor switch has malfunctioned. In all my years of owning cars ranging from 0 miles to 200k miles, this has never happened. My car is past the warranty, so I am out of pocket $230. However, if you do a bit of research online, Acura has had this issue with 07-11 MDX, but did not issue a recall on the system. I own a 08 Honda Pilot and I have never had any issues. If you are considering buying an MDX, I employ you to take a look at their cheaper sister, Honda, who has better service and quality. And if luxury is what you really want, then go check out a Lexus. This is not a biased view, but rather a fact from US News and World Report, Motor Trend and Edmunds. I also talked to a US rep (1-800-382-2238, if anyone else needs it). There’s no help on the matter, just an apology for the poor product.

Purchased new from Acura dealer, a 2014 MDX. At 22,000 miles noticed annoying chirping noise. After second time to dealer, they advised noise is from fuel pump and characteristic of vehicle & similar to other MDX. The loaners I have driven do not have this noise nor did mine for first 22,000 miles. I paid $50,000 for this vehicle, which is my fourth MDX. Unless Acura changes their response and fixes this noise, it will be my last. Who pays this amount of money to listen to irritating noise caused by fuel pump? Acura appears to be company driven by cost not customer relations! Where in the past I recommended to friends to consider an MDX, I now advise them of my unresolved issue. Those that ride with me ask what the noise is and wonder why I do not have dealer repair. They are dumbfounded that Acura considers this noise acceptable.

Acura provides a number of different vehicles to choose from, from sport sedans to luxury SUVs. They offer mid to high range vehicles that are tightly tuned and a blast to drive. Acura vehicles all look very sharp, with trim features youd expect to see on a luxury car. The trim lines are sleek and the headlamps make the front end look stylish. However, they dont give a lot of options to upgrade, but most features already come standard. A technology package is usually available which usually gives navigation and a few extra bells and whistles. Depending on the model, you can expect ample interior space for passengers and cargo. Some of the smaller sport sedans may sacrifice rear leg room, but this is expected in this type of model. The SUVs are spacious.

At the beginning of this summer, my dashboard randomly started cracking above my steering column. The crack has extended all the way to the windshield and split off in one direction. Also the passenger side has started to crack around the airbag. An expensive luxury car like this should not have these types of issues. I love this car, but now every time I get in, I cant help but feel that I am driving a piece of junk.

Please be accurate with my statement? Absolutely. I purchased a 2005 Acura Rl, 4 recalls, the FAKE leather after 3 years had peeled and separated on the seats, arm rests on a $45,000 vehicle! The plastic door handles have broken causing for the whole door rest to be required to be replaced just to fix the handles. The cd radio hasnt worked since 2006. I also have a 2009 Acura rdx which also the radio doesnt work, just laughable $35,000 vehicle. You hear everything going on inside and outside of it, from screws to air. You hear it all. Im so done with Acura. My feelings were already hurt when they took the Legend name plate away in the USA. I am so, so disappointed and Lexus will be my new friend.

There are sedans, that is what I have. Acura also has sports cars and SUVs. They are all similar but they each are sleek and attractive cars. They look sleek and modern. The colors are great, especially white pearl. The leather seats and wood on the dashboard are beautiful. The wheels are unique too. There are engine upgrades as well as stereo, heating/air conditioning, lighting, GPS and display upgrades. They offer satellite radio and cameras and parking sensors. Ive had some engine issues, I love the smooth ride though. The standard amount of people can fit in the vehicles. My car is roomy, no one has ever complained. There is good leg room as well. I fit 2 in the front and 3 in the back seat, even with a car seat back there.

This is my first time owning an Acura. My experience with it is a positive one. I love the all the features of the Acura, I enjoy driving my newly purchased vehicle. This vehicle is a luxury suv. It has navigation, XM radio activation, a sunroof, an awesome back up camera, and other amazing features that cater to the drivers need. But I would love for my suv to have a hatch that is motion sensored on the bottom of the car though, so that I can open to back hands free.

I use this car mostly in the city so for its purpose it is solid. However when I do hit the highway there is no question I am secure in this vehicle. Performance: not the best off the mark but it handles well. Put some snow tires on and your good all winter. ACURA is part of the HONDA family and I am a Honda fan so I felt confident in this purchase. This car is a mid level SUV which stands up very well. It drives not as smoothly as some higher end makes but certainly delivers a quality comfortable ride. The Nav system needs work and maybe theyve fixed it since my 2014 but for now I dont get to use it. I drive off my phone instead. I cant really speak to gas consumption as I drive very little but so far, is reasonable.

Bought a 2018 Acura TLX Aspec, and in 2 years the engine gave out at 40,000 kms. They had to replace the cylinder blocks. After replacing the cylinder blocks, then a day after electronics gave out. My car started shaking and lost steering wheel control. Almost caused me to hit someone. Called Acura that I dont feel safe driving this car. They basically said, We cant do anything. If anything happens just keep bringing it back. Girl was polite but of no help. Now I have to drive that car feeling nervous everyday that something could happen to me or others. Never buying Acura again.

Similar to the other post on the Naperville dealership, Ive been a long time Honda/Acura owner with an 89 Prelude, 96 Prelude, 02 TL, 03 Pilot and 08 TL. This latest TL has been by far the worst. Right at the start, the passenger side A/C was not working and that is basically the only thing that was covered by warranty. The rear breaks wore out after 20k miles and when I took it in, I was told that it is a wearable item and they would charge me just to look at it. I have never had front brakes wear out after that short of a time period, much less, rear brakes. I have very little city driving. Find out why the back brakes are apparently locking up? No way, my problem. The latest problem deals with water leaking into the car. I took it into the dealership where they took a quick look and said I needed to schedule an appointment so they can spend more time on it. I scheduled the appointment and took it in. They spent half a day and could not find the problem. I just now took it in again to show them the problem as it was happening. They took a quick look and said they would have to run a diagnostic and charge me for it. Ridiculous. To show that it is not just the dealership, I called Acura (client relations, I believe) and their only comment was too bad, your fault for not spending your time going to other dealers, etc. because it is now out of warranty by a month (everyone delayed long enough I guess). After going round and round, I gave up and told her that this is ridiculous that Acura does not stand by their vehicles and this is the last Acura/Honda I will buy. Her only comment was that that is certainly my choice and I am welcome to do that. So anyone considering an Acura (owned by Honda), there you go. Buy their car and you are on your own.

My Acura MDX is a really great car. It was used to us, but was a great buy and is still to this day running smooth. We take it to the dealership for maintenance. But Id change the exterior color because there are a lot of the same models that are the same color out there on the road and in parking lots. But for a 2004 car, its awesome. Even in the snow and ice! We always knew we wanted this model, we just had to wait for the right one to come along. They just hold up when taken care of. The interior craftsmanship has held up. Very safe.

The car is beautiful and that is my biggest attraction to it. I have the one with everything on it so its very comfortable. My only issues are 1.) Its a little bit rough to drive, you feel every little bump on the road. 2.) Acura doesnt do anything special for the owners, prior to this I had 2 Lexus and when you go to the dealership to get your car serviced you are treated like VIP. You can wait for the car in a lounge where you can have in the morning free bagels, toast or danishes along with regular or specialty coffee, if its lunch time free water, juice or soda. They have nice comfortable leather chairs, desktop computers, iPads and large screen TVs. In addition to this if its going to be longer than a couple of hours they just give you a beautiful loaner. Anything you want so you can try out all their different models.

Before I purchased my Acura, I had a VW Passat and although the VW ran good, the upkeep was ridiculous. I had to get breaks and it cost me 1200! The final straw was that the rear privacy screen was broke and would not retract. I hardly ever use it so I was mind blown as to how it would break on its own, even more mind blown when VW said that they couldn’t fix it, only replace for $600. After that, I traded that VW in and purchased my 2008 Acura TL. I have made that car for 11 Years and have never had any major issue, just the normal wear and tear stuff but as far as reliability, they can’t be beat! I was rear-ended a couple years back and ran into the car in front so I had both rear and front damage. Insurance totaled the car cause it cost more to fix than what it was worth. They paid me $8000 for it and I kid you not, it still runs. I got a new hood and had someone paint and it STILL runs without any issues, even after being totaled and now having over 150,000 miles! Since then, I have purchased at 2017 ACURA MDX and it’s awesome. Fully loaded with all the amenities for thousands less than what you’d get from BMW or Mercedes. You just can’t go wrong with Acura or Honda!

The power in the 2020 MDX Hybrid Advance is amazing, especially the torque at a start or moving onto a freeway. The Comfort Mode makes the ride smooth, but putting it into Sport mode and this car can move! The Expresso interior is beautiful and the interior is quiet. In fact, trying out other luxury SUVs, this MDX Hybrid is the most quiet. Great gas mileage. Only $1600 more for the Hybrid over the regular MDX Advance. Would recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing this car.

For a first time buyer I find it reliable and luxurious compared to other I tested drive. At first I must admit I was a bit hesitant on purchases because, originally my first two choices were BMW or a Chrysler. I test drive them both, the BMW was M3. Was enjoyable but it was missing something and Chrysler I thought would eat up a lot more gas and less comfortable. So when my last option I was hesitant but when I tested it. I felt right there this was it the one I would buy. Beautiful interior design but it could be a bit more glamorous. Its not as nice as a BMW but its great for a first time buyer. Somewhat roomy depending on size and weight of individual. I do unfortunately have a friend is a bit heavyset who seats in the passenger seat to have more room but even pushing back seat is not enough, so it would be nice to have more legroom for heavyset people. The stereo is wonderful and car floats as if I am flying. Very spacious whether going shopping or traveling out of town. Its very roomy for luggage or my purchases. Im also have many envious friends who want my car because of the comfort it has compare to theirs. The air conditioner and heater are wonderful. Not to mention the stereo to plug in your phone or MP3 are topnotch compared to other models. But one of the best would be GPS which is one best feature in the car.

I currently own my third Honda/Acura vehicle. It is a 2002 Acura MDX. In Aug 2012, I brought it to Kingston Honda because the transmission was acting odd. They informed me that there was a recall on the transmission. This recall requires the technician to send photos of the transmission gears to Honda Canada where they are reviewed. If there is any sign of damage the transmission is replaced. If there is no sign of damage an oil injector kit will be installed (which takes 0.1 hours or 6 minutes to install). I was disheartened to be informed that my transmission was in perfect shape and therefore would not be replaced as I knew that it was acting up. I returned to them four more times in the next ten months with concerns about the transmission not working properly only to have them tell me each time that it was fine. On the last visit (July 2013) I was told that the transmission is gone and I was recommended I go to a local transmission shop to get it rebuilt for $5500. I asked the service manager why it had not been replaced earlier when the recall was performed and he told me that he did not know. I also asked for a copy of the reply from Honda Canada stating that the photos had indicated that the transmission showed no sign of wear but he had no record of it. In my opinion, Hondas recall appears to be lip service.

I bought the Acura MDX 2007 1/1/2014. The car had this battery issue that caused it to died. In the span of 5 months, four of the car battery died. Each time we replaced it with a new battery. After the fourth time we brought it up to the dealer because we have a warranty. The dealership claimed that replacing the HFL unit and the the battery cable which would total around $670. We only have drove it for around 4,000 miles and this was outrageous. The dealership would refuse to accept that the warranty would cover this. The warranty claims that this isnt cover and the dealer said that the warranty refused to pay the $670 required to fix this. After calling the warranty company for hours, they refused to fix this. After reading online for a while I notice that Im not the only one with this issue, its a common occurrence for other acura owners. A note to buyers, check your warranty! Make sure to check what they cover and what they dont. We paid around $2,400 for the warranty for 3 years and this hasnt even been a year and were having this issue. The warranty company is MPP (mechanical protection plan). Make sure youre checking what you get before you buy it! We basically spent $2,400 for nothing. Another annoying thing was when we sent the car in for repair, the dealership didnt offer us a replacement car to help us travel around while its being repair. They also didnt bother calling us back. I had to call them and ask whats going on. If you have had similar car issue and resolved this Im in need of help. Please message me!

Also, I do not like the price I pay every month for the payments of the car. It could be a little lower.

J have owned this vehicle since 5k miles. The ‘feature’ called engine auto stop has never worked properly, leaving me stranded at intersections countless times. It also drains the battery which Acura refuses to replace annually as a safety assurance. Acura is so arrogant that they claim nothing is wrong with the system and refuses to provide a way to permanently shut it off resulting in a death trap. Would you drive a vehicle whose brakes work 95% of the time with no warning for failure? I think not. I was almost rear ended by a large truck because this piece of garbage feature once again failed. Acura has me take it to a dealer to be told for the second time there was no issue. Do not buy any Honda products with this feature. Their cars are designed with a sleek look, are fuel efficient, and are safety tested to ensure that the vehicle is road ready and safe to drive. In my car everything is digital and easy to see. Not only will the cars appearance draw attention, the inside was designed to provide the customer with a sense of pride for owning a Acura. Plenty of leg space to provide comfort for the driver and all occupants who ride along. With a sleek and sexy design these cars should be the most cost efficient vehicle on the road. I was very impressed initially with the car, it truly lives up to its reputation. I have been driving Acura for many years as my father did when he was alive. However, when it comes to customer care, I can tell you that the dealership fell very short. I had to replace the windshield due to a crack. Once the windshield was replaced, it then needed to be re-calibrated. When I contacted Center Acura, they told me that they were very familiar with this issue - no problem. It would take about 1.5 hours to do the job. Come very early in the am. So I did, to discover they could not calibrate the windshield because it needed a specialized silicone film first. They said, We will order this and call you next week, but should take a couple of days to get. They never called - two weeks later, I called and they said, We forgot to call you. I couldnt believe this since Acura is totally customer oriented.I rescheduled for this past Monday am - when I brought in my car, the service representative said, I will need to do extensive research on this. I replied, This is unacceptable. I had to leave because I was taking time off work. Several service department employees sent me emails and text messages asking me if I was satisfied with the service I received??? I promptly replied to all of them via email, text and phone calls. No one replied!!!I then ended up calling client relations. My case was assigned to a rep who I just spoke to. She listened but did not grasp the issue - the main issue is the lack of response to the customer. She perseverated about getting someone to do the work. I re-explained my position again, she ignored me and said this might be a good training issue for the dealership. In the meantime, I, along with my insurance company who offered to pay for this are attempting to locate a vendor who can do the job.

Acura has pretty attractive and sporty models that run pretty well and not too costly. They have sleek bodies and good performance. Overall I am happy with the look and appearance of the vehicle. Upgrades are standard like other brands. The car can be nice to drive with no upgrades but if fully stocked it is a sweet ride. It has a roomy interior and overall comfy compared to other cars and other car brands, not the largest space but definitely enough for a person. Have not had any bad experiences with them. Definitely may recommend for friends shopping for a car.

Bought a pre-owned certified 2011 rdx. Well first off was told it was awd it was not. Brake warning light was on, all tires were way off the psi. It should of been after the 120 point check they must of not done. 3 months later headlight had tons of water in it. After complaining to Acura relations was told they would help out of good will but after I was ready to replace the headlight was told they wont because you bought the headlight light from a 3rd party but it was oem. I have owned 3 Acuras this is my last. Stay away from buying Acura. They are not the company they use to be.

I purchased a new 2014 Acura RDX with all-wheel drive and technology package from Apple Tree Acura in July 2013. The dashboard has slowly warped where it meets the windshield and has a dip or sag about 6 inches long and inch deep. The Apple Tree service manager as well as the factory representative determined that the problem is a characteristic of the RDX, that there is no fix and they will not attempt to repair or replace under warranty. They have admitted that my dashboard is the worst they have seen, but all RDXs have this characteristic to some degree. I believe this is a flaw and it should be repaired under factory warranty. A $40,000 vehicle should not have a sagging dashboard as a normal characteristic. It certainly was not sagging when I purchased the car. When Apple Tree Acura sold me the RDX, they promised me a comprehensive warranty and exemplary customer service for 4 years or 50,000 miles. They now point to the factory representative’s decision as final and refuse to honor their commitment to me. I strongly urge buyers not purchase any vehicle from this dealership! They have absolutely zero integrity.

In March 2014 my 2009 Acura TSX battery died after work while running erran
In March 2014 my 2009 Acura TSX battery died after work while running errands. I have the Acura Care extended warranty and contacted roadside assistance to come give me a jump start. Acura Care was great. They made sure I was safe, and got someone to me in 20 minutes. The guy told me my battery terminals were corroded and my car may not start in the morning. Knowing I might need a jump again in the morning, I woke up early to see if my car would start. No such luck. I called Acura Care again to see if they could come jump me so I could drive it to a dealership. Apparently they have a 7 day rule where only one type of service can be utilized. I asked them to tow my car then. Tow truck guy refused to tow it and jumped it.Now gets to the meat and potatoes of my issue. I get to the dealer around 7:45 and tell the service guy Im having battery problems. He pops my hood, tests my battery and says Yep you will need to buy a new battery. I point to my battery and say It says right on it, in two spots, 100 month warranty. My car is obviously not 100 months old. He begins to tell me that the warranty only applies to batteries I purchased. Now Im getting angry. I tell him, I did purchase the battery, I purchased the battery when I purchased the car. He then tells me, The battery CAME with the car. I respond with, Listen, I bought the battery when I bought the car. I own the car. I bought the car, the rims, the seat, the engine, the fluids. I bought it, I bought ALL of it!!!!! Im now extremely angry and waving my hands. The service guy tells me to calm down so he can get his manager.Mike the service manager at Rick Case Acura of Fort Lauderdale tells me the same story as the service guy. That the two stickers on the battery mean if you replace your battery you get a 100-month warranty, but the warranty does not apply to batteries that came with the vehicle. They are under the 3 year/ 50,000 mile warranty. I tell him what Acura is doing is extremely deceiving. They are putting multiple stickers all over a battery claiming a 100k warranty, when it doesnt apply to me since I didnt buy a replacement battery. Acura should provide different batteries when the car is sold, than when it is replaced. He agrees, says it is the root of a lot of problems with customers and offers to comp the labor of replacing the battery (Thanks for the $25 comp for 2 minutes of service).I then mention my battery terminals are extremely corroded and I will need a new cable. You can get this cable and terminals at the auto store for $4. He agrees and says its cracked and will need to be replaced. I was now running late for work, and asked if someone could drop me off 15 minutes away. I head to work where a couple hours later I get even crazier news from Acura. I will also need to replace my battery harness, which is $400 and has to be special ordered. I am baffled. I knew I would need to replace a cable, but a harness? And a harness is $400???? The service guy tells me it is connected to the terminal cable and corroded all the way through. There is absolutely no work around, and I will need to purchase the battery and new harness to get my car up and running again. I remind him that I have Acura Care Extended 100,000 mile Warranty and to see if the harness is list. He calls back a few minutes later to tell me the harness is NOT part of the warranty. I tell him A harness sounds like it SHOULD be a sturdy item, that supports another item, and shouldnt break. Whats the problem here? He tells me the battery was leaking acid all down the harness and it is no longer usable. This all stems back to Acura and their ** DECEIVING, lack of customer service and living up to their promises. I had to shell out over $600 for a bad battery. A battery that lead me to believe it had a 10- month warranty. I will NEVER buy another Acura again. I loved my car until this incident and their lies, fraud and failure to live up to their advertisements came to light.

Acura offers sedans (large and smaller sizes), 2-door hatch back, and SUV models good for a range of family types and vehicle uses. Theyre mid priced luxury cars. The Acura I purchased was a sporty 2 door model with a hatchback. It had features for adjusting the handling. I thought the round headlights on the Integra looked cool, too. Acura offered a variety of trim levels. There were options for radio, CD player or 6 CD changer, upgraded speakers. Some were offered in packages, such as wheel upgrades and performance tires. Acura has auto types equipped for 2-6 passengers. You can select the car that fits your needs the best, from sport models to SUVs. I was single when I purchased my sport model.

I purchased my 2006 Acura TL on 7/13/12. When I purchased my vehicle, I was told some issues were fixed with it regarding brakes and computer. I was told everything was fixed. I was also told by Rich that the salesperson would show me how to use my navigation and pair my phone to my car via bluetooth. As far as the bluetooth issue, the salesperson tried to help me pair it to the car. But the bluetooth asked for a code that the original owner setup and no one knew it. They said they would try to contact the original owner. I have been waiting since I purchased the vehicle. Today, I spoke to Rich in person about my issue (who has not returned any of my phone calls) who is the sales manager and he told me in a rude way, I am not fixing it. I spent over $2,000 in that car to get the lights off and that is your problem, not mine. And he said this after I told him the vehicle was advertised that it has bluetooth and I wanted it fixed. I told him I was going to make a complaint and he said that isnt going to do anything. As far as the check engine light issue, that car has been to Acura three times within the past three weeks. The last time, I dropped it off which was the 3rd time on approximately around 6/28/12 to fix the engine light issue and to do an alignment. I was then told the light has something to do with the computer and the brakes which I was promised was fixed before I bought the car. They gave me a loaner and I was told it should only take about 2 or 3 days. Then, I was promised that car would be done on 7/5/12 and it still wasnt. And when I picked it up today on 7/9/12, I have different lights on and my VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) lights are on and are not working. The salesperson apologized and said he would get with the service manager Carl who I spoke to multiple times and made promise when my car would be finished and was not. Right now, I am very disappointed on how a luxury dealer treats their customers and not take ownership of their issues. I want my car fixed without waiting a week and my bluetooth unlocked.

I had a disappointing and sad experience during my purchase of a 2015 TLX A
I had a disappointing and sad experience during my purchase of a 2015 TLX Advance 4 Wheel Drive. This is not my first time purchasing a car from Acura, this is actually my third vehicle from Acura. And you would think Acura as a whole, values their customer but honestly maybe they did in the past but NOT ANYMORE. The quality and moral of Acura has declined and is very low. I would like everyone to beware of this. First of all my brand new vehicle is 3 weeks old and last Monday 17th November 2014, I experienced a flat tire in Manhattan New York where I reside and to my amazement, the first thing anyone would do which is normal is to fix it on your own. After which you proceed if needed, to take it to a tire shop or dealership to be fixed much better however this was not the case at all. The vehicle had NO SPARE TIRE and I was not told this at my initial sale/purchase which is HORRIBLE for any customer. The customer has to RIGHT TO KNOW and given the choice what to do. But as a whole, Acura making vehicles like this now with no spare tire is NOT A GOOD THING AT ALL because it is a HAZARD AND DANGER TO THE CUSTOMER. I understand TECHNOLOGY is changing but ACURA NEEDS TO PUT THIS OUT THERE TO ANY CUSTOMER. As usual this a money making issue for Acura now because if they tell you the vehicle has no spare tire you have to purchase one on your own or purchase one with them. More expense for you. Coming back to my Current issue which is still going on as I have now picked this issue up with ACURA CLIENT RELATIONS, I have a case number so this is not a light issue especially for anyone with a new vehicle. The case manager assigned to me was so rude, very disrespectful, very bad communication and she should not represent ACURA at all. Her name was Katrina and she was the case manager assigned to my issue. She actually insulted me so many times and told me that it was my fault for not researching my new TLX properly. In other words, I was to be blamed for the vehicle not having a spare tire when she is absolutely wrong. Her tone was out of line and she seems to not value ACURA customers at all. What a poor example of someone like her portraying ACURA. She also proceeded to say that my sealant pump which they provide to fix the flat tire was not defective when it clearly was and she refused to see that. The tire sealant kit never worked for me and reaching out to her was of no use .Just to give you an idea as to how everything happened, Monday when I encountered the flat tire since there was no spare tire within the vehicle this made me so angry and I began to use their SO CALLED TIRE SEALANT KIT FOR A FLAT TIRE. In a nutshell, ACURAs version of a tire pump which is horrible. THIS TIRE SEALANT PUMP SEALED NOTHING... NOTHING I TELL YOU. The pump NEVER WORKED ONE BIT. This was my second disappointment and now the wheel that had the flat had WHEEL LOCKS. To my horror, the SO CALLED KEY FOR THE WHEEL LOCK did not work at all and the vehicle comes with NO WRENCH to remove the wheel lock despite everything going on. As a whole, all three items are very vital and dangerous to your life and everyone on this site should be aware of it. This is a big disappointment on Acura as a whole and they need to remodel and recheck their design of this vehicle next time or any other vehicle they would like to design. This vehicle is truly the best and very powerful however it lacks vital simple items which are important. The flat tire sealant pump does not work at all as I mentioned above. Please be aware and there is no spare tire for the customer unless you purchase one on your own or from the company. Therefore if you get a flat, the pump ONLY works if your tire has a hole JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR THE PUMP TO WORK. So everyone out there, please pay attention to this. The third thing on your tires as mentioned by me before, the wheel locks are placed on all four tires however the vehicle has a key which may or may not work and there is no wrench within the car to open the locks. This is a great risk and a definitely NO on Acura as a whole. I took my pump and wheel to be inspected and the service person at Paragon ACURA never updated with the outcome and forgot me completely hence no help from him. POOR SERVICE once again. I dont recommend this place and please be aware of your purchase of any 2015 Acura models. It is a SAFETY ISSUE FOR YOU AS A WHOLE. At PARAGON ACURA, THE SERVICE CONSULTANT was horrible and did not have the courtesy and professionalism to call me back concerning my tire pump and flat tire I left with him on Monday 11/24/2014 with any updates as I have to report this to Acura client relation. I called him after two days and he had the audacity to tell me he forgot to get back to me. POOR COMMUNICATION AND SERVICE FROM HIM. What a useless guy. OMG.This expensive vehicle also came standard with GOODYEAR EAGLE TIRES. Not a good thing to begin with as well. Anyway I wish to say in my closing please guys out there be careful and be safe. Take care of your own vehicle as you can see I am fighting currently to get acknowledged for their mistake. I think this is my last time with Acura as their service has declined completely and the lack of respect from the case manager Katrina is not professional at all. For Acura to have someone like Katrina representing them is very bad. She needs to learn the basic which is to know her job and it is clear she does not. Please guys out there be careful.

Very little help for person who does not know how to handle the problem. We own three Acuras. Never again will I buy one. With Mercedes or Lexus you call and they come get you and car. They repair. None of this arguing for a tow truck. No need for a million explanations. They just lost my family’s business. What a shame.

We had leased our Acura MDX through a local Acura dealer. The experience was fair. The showroom tries to portray the brand as a true luxury car, but most salesmen seems fast-paced, with the typical gimmicky talk and cheap suits. The Service was even worse. Anytime the car would require scheduled maintenance, they always tried to upsell us on things like Automatic Transmission fluid change, stating it was very dirty (after only 8,000 miles?), despite the fact that the maintenance schedule doesnt require this fluid change until 20,000-40,000 miles. Filter changes are also their favorite, stating that theyre very dirty and its bad for the vehicle.I never got the impression that the Acura brand is synonymous with luxury, unfortunately. Just a dressed-up Honda, and this trickles down all the way to how they sell and service these vehicles. The car itself has a few, very annoying issues. For one, the front windows are extremely loose, and when opened even slightly, rattle beyond belief. Acura Service techs state this is how theyre designed, and that its normal. It pretty much renders driving around with windows lowered impossible, and from the sound of it, Acura owners have gotten used to it. After almost 3 years, were still struggling with getting used to it.The infotainment is brutally slow. If you click on Settings or any other option, it often takes 2-3 seconds for the screen to refresh and show the desired information. Having rented a BMW X5, or even a Volkswagen Touareg, the computing power of their infotainment systems is much more up-to-date and intuitive. The interface design on the infotainment touchscreen buttons is also very primitive. Like something youd find a first-grade graphic design student do. Certainly not the luxury experience theyre selling.Overall, the exterior is neat, slim, with touches of chrome here and there. The interior is also nicely done. I am surprised as to why the third-row seats do not have A/C vents (like the Honda Pilot, which sells for considerably less does). The power liftgate has failed us more than once, and the remote engine starter oftentimes just stops working, requiring me to manually disconnect the battery to reset everything. Ive given-up taking the car to the dealer for every little nuance. Driving-wise, the car is light and responds well to steering input. Power is adequate, and AWD system performs remarkably well. Despite all of this, we wont be leasing another Acura again. We feel that too many corners have been cut, and not enough attention to detail has been paid to areas that really need it to qualify this vehicle as a luxury one.

They said they cant do anything to help with body panel issue, mdx cost 63k. For that amount I expected better service from acura and dealership. Dealer said thats the way it is, we cant fix the body panel alignment issues (really said I heard that from the dealer). We contacted the acura customer service and was told thats the way it is, I have to live with the body panel alignment issues front of the vehicle. On top of that the customer service spokeperson hung up on me. I guess thats what I get for spending $63,000 dollars on the poor looking 2022 acura mdx.. Never recommend acura to anybody ever for their poor service and cant fix their own product. Its a lot of sporty type cars with smaller engines to save games. It has different models. For example the base model is like an normal car, maybe power windows and a standard stereo. Then you have the different packages to go along with the car. It goes like any other car that a person would buy. Basic and then upper class and then the middle affordable one. It depends what you can buy on your budget. But if you are looking for space these cars are probably not the ones you are looking for. Maybe good for two or four people. I drive an Acura MDX 2016, great car, and we are a family of Acura obsession. I met with an accident the first week of August 2021 and today it is December 9th, 2021. My car is at the body shop to date since Acura failed to supply the parts for repair (every time the date gets pushed for another month). I have called Acura customer support asking to speak to a supervisor for the past four months. Every time, I was told they were too busy or unavailable (are they unavailable or cowardly behavior by refusing the answer escalated concerns?). Requested for a follow-up phone call NOT an email. However, all I received was scripted generic mail for every call I made. Finally, today spoke to the supervisor, explained all the detail and all I hear is sorry. Now, I have paid over $9000 on rental. The only solution I have received is sorry from Acura. I would refer to Acuras supervisor’s customer service as a meaning of worst customer experience in the dictionary.

Very displeased for how Acura does not stand by their product and does not value a repeating customer. I have purchased 4 Acuras in the last 10 years and am sad to say I will not purchase another. In 2010 I bought a 2009 Acura TL and here recently in the past year I have had issues with the rubber seals around all the windows, windshield and around all moldings on the outside of the car. I have explained to the dealership and a customer care manager at Acura Care services what my issues are and that my car is garage kept away from all natural elements. The window moldings have completely melted away leaving an inch gap between the door frame and window on all doors which allows water to fall freely within the door. Also cold/hot air flows into the car due to this so having the air turned on high in either condition is a must. When Acura Care was contacted and a case was opened I was advised due to the cars age they will not help at all. I asked if the pictures that were taken at the dealership were looked at. They replied that no pictures were seen or sent by dealership but the decision has been made. They will not be able to do anything for me. I again said that it isnt like I have been tampering with the seals or weather stripping but it is literally melting away to the touch and flying off the car as I am driving, again no concern was shown by the Acura Care Case Manager. Again I have purchased 4 Acura cars but WILL NOT BE DOING SO AGAIN EVER. VERY DISSATISFIED AND SAD TO KNOW THAT ACURA DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT! I have a 98 Ford F-150 that stays in the TEXAS heat 365 days of the year and have never experienced this or anything near this on it. Yes it is a 09 but just barely has over 100k miles on it and is garage kept. Product is faulty and ACURA knows that is why they dont stand by their product or value true customers.

Nice and roomy for door on the truck app for the size of the car is absolutely big as a tire that goes underneath that fits in that room better replacement for any flat tires that you might get. Great car. I would recommend to anyone.

We bought a certified pre-owned 2019 MDX hyrbid in June 2021, and it is a lemon. Weve had four breakdowns in less than 2,000 miles worth of driving time, all involving components of the car that should not break down in a vehicle that has less than 30,000 miles on it. The car has been in the shop over 40% of the time weve owned it, and we cannot use it for the thing we bought it for - long family road trips - because it breaks down once every couple of weeks. On top of that, Acuras customer service has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. They do not respond to any written communications and make it as difficult as possible to try to resolve your issue. We still have not been compensated for the substantial out of pocket expenses we suffered from the first breakdown in July, which was a life-threatening incident that stranded my family away from home for a day.I bought this car because Acura supposedly has a reputation for great cars and great service. This experience has exposed both of those ideas as lies. Stay far, far away.

There were lots of cars to choose from. Most of the cars were Acura or Toyota and not much else. Would have liked other choices. Maybe a Ford or a Chevy if that one didnt worked out. Acura looks really cool and girls like it a lot. They want to make sure you buy a car that makes you look Iike a big shot and not a total jerk. You cant get red because that is a stupid color for a car. Acura was really basic and didnt have any features to speak about. That kind of drove me nuts because I had no idea what the rest of the car was a crappy hatchback. But there was plenty of room for my stuff and for kid and wife. The only reason that I carry stuff is because of the kid and the reason that it means so much is that.

Got the car in July 4. To start it is a beautiful car but first day of having the car had to call because the rear cargo door every time it opened sound like a whale and the cooling on the seat was making noise. When I came back they tell me they have to leave the car because they need to order parts and the head liner has to come down in order to change the hinge. I talk to someone about getting a new car that was less than a week and they were like, You put miles on it, in which I replied, Of course I have to use it to go to work, otherwise I can’t pay the car, but they refused. Resolution on that was replacing the hinge and the seat. It was a plastic that was never removed and was making the noise. Now around September I start hearing noise from the brakes and took the car on October for oil change and ask them about it and they said there was a service bulletin to replaced the rotors because it is a known issue. Got rotors replaced and they still make noise. Call them about it and they tell me I have to deal with it until they come up with a fix because the service bulletin did not fix that issue and they are working on it. Now today is December 5 and the screen does not turn on then I try again and again and it finally came on but is stuck on the Acura disclaimer turn on and off the car and the screen now remains turn on on the disclaimer screen killing my battery. Called SPRINGFIELD ACURA again about it and they tell me again that they know about the issue and to disconnect the battery terminals for 15 minutes. First off I don’t have personal tools to do that. Second I am in warranty. If I touch it they will blame it on me. Apparently the engineers they have are not doing a good quality check on their work and for a luxury top brand of Honda like Acura very terrible service.

The price and the accessories inside the cars, including the interior design separates this brand from the others. The thing that made me choose this brand is the affordable prices of the personalized accessories in the car. I really liked how they gave me a wide variety of choices. I also like the exterior design. They come in many different colors and models like the NSX, MDX, RDX, and TLX models. I think the number of choices was desirable and I had a good experience choosing my car. Also, the number of seats is adequate, not too small and not too large. And there is also enough trunk space. I can fit most of the stuff I need to in there.

Acura offers a sufficient variety of models to suit every lifestyle (sedan, SUV, sport model, etc.). When I owned an Acura, I had the Vigor sedan model, which I absolutely loved. Their models are classically designed, and an old Acura looks just as contemporary as a new one. What I particularly appreciate is the fact that blind spots are minimized, reducing the need to stretch and crane your neck before changing lanes. Also, their upgrade and personalization options are comparable to those offered by other manufacturers of upscale automobiles. For example, on-board GPS, air conditioning, hands-off mobile phone, etc. The passenger capacity depends on the style and/or model of car selected. My Vigor sedan had standard seating capacity for two passengers in the front and three in the back.

I had purchased my $55,000 Acura RL from King just a couple of years before the high-end GPS unit went belly-up. It just quit working! I took it to Kings service department and was told: You must have bumped the unit when you were putting something in the trunk. (Say Whaaat?!?) Thats customer damage and not covered by the warranty. Its going to cost you NINE HUNDRED BUCKS and take about six weeks to get a replacement from California. Please know, the unit showed NO SIGN of being bumped while I was ...putting something in the trunk but King Acura would not budge. Need I say, my RL will be remembered as my first and last foray into the sordid world of Acura.

Would not recommend Acura/Honda to anyone! They are the worst. I purchased a 2018 Acura MDX in Aug 2018 from Paragon Acura and I have been having problems with the vehicle since September 2018. First the car would not move when I put it into reverse or drive. When I finally got it to move it started making a grinding noise. I took it to Island Acura and they said my transmission is overfilled with transmission oil. They drain it to the right level. When leaving I heard a winding noise coming at low speed and decelerations. Took it back to the Island Acura and they said its coming from the transmission and front diff. They refused to work on the MDX bc I did not buy the car from them and said I have to take it back to where I bought it from. I took it back to Paragon Acura and they kept my MDX for over 3 weeks and did not resolve the issue instead they caused more of an issue. They return my MDX with damages. When I reach out to Paragon about the situation they said they will contact me back within 15 mins and they never did. I had to reach out to them the next day. I contact Acura cooperate and them seem to not care at all. My car only has 2200 miles and it dont seem to be a problem with them. Still have transmission problems. My quarter panel, rear bumper, front bumper, driver door, and inside the front door jam have to be painted. Plus my car is filthy with some interior damages. I also received a parking tickets while my MDX was in for service at Paragon Acura. This is the worst car company I have ever dealt with. DONT EVER GET A HONDA/ACURA PRODUCT! NOR DEAL WITH PARAGON ACURA!

I own a 03 TL. I purchased it used back in 2006 with less than 42,000 miles on it. About 7 months later, I had issues with car skipping gears. Took it to the dealership and was told I needed to get my PCM, 2 engine mounts, and transmission replaced. At this time, I had only 53,800+ miles. Had I not bought the extended warranty, I would have had to pay for the PCM and engine mounts to be replaced. Now fast forward the 2014, check engine light is on as well as TCS. Had various places check it out and they told me it appears to be a transmission problem/torque converter clutch solenoid issue and to have the dealer check it out. I was hoping that it wasnt that. They tell me my transmission is pretty much shot. Im like, seriously? Im just now getting over 173,300 miles and my 2nd tranny has failed? Very disappointed. Acura knew about these problems and they should be held responsible for this. People cant afford to replace things like that every 100k miles or so. That should not happen. Needless to say, I will not be owning another Acura.

Dealership totaled my car while in for repair and tried to hide it, they tried to pay me off not to leave reviews. 9/5/17 I received a call from the service department saying my car was involved in an incident at the shop that they had found that morning. I was told that they were unsure the extent of the damage at that time. I sent my mom down to get important papers out of my glove box as I was unable to get there. When she arrived, she found someone still working on the car and she opened the glove box to it full of water rushing out like a fish tank being dumped over. The next day I went down to the dealership to see my car myself and speak to management. We met with George who promised to bend over backwards to help me.I was continually pushed aside and treated like I was a nuisance. Once their insurance finally claimed it a total loss (over a week later) I then was left to do all the work, I had to fight for 104 days to get my car paid off. This was daily calls and emails and hundreds of hours of work. When it came time to get me into a new vehicle I was shuttled back and forth between salesmen (who were all friendly but couldnt help) and the 2012 that was comparable to my MDX was sold before I could get there to see it the next morning. I was hopeful theyd cut me a great deal on a replacement vehicle for all Id been through but alas all I got was a lousy $1000 off the price (something anyone could haggle down) and still paid over blue book, and 15% off floor mats and I had to pay for moldings to be put on to cover all the scratches on the passenger side. To get the $1000 off I had to fight for $250 of it and was told by Gene **, Fine if its a fight over $250 Ill do it just to get you done and out of here. He was incredibly rude to me and honestly I shouldnt have proceeded with the purchase of the new car especially since the only viable option was a 2015 MDX that now costs me an extra $150 per month and I had to start payments all over again.Once my car was paid I reached out to the dealership to try to work out some compensation for my time and losses like new tags, paying double insurance while I fought to get my car paid off, and interest accrued during that time. I sent a certified letter to George, and Gene called me in return, I asked to hear from George who refused to contact me and I never heard from again. I then put a complaint in with the BBB because I was receiving no response. George blank told the BBB they bent over backwards to help me and there was nothing more they could do.I then contacted Acura corporate directly (who were wonderful by the way) and they couldnt believe how I had been treated and they tried to help me. They arranged a call with the dealership which was between me, Acura and Gene. Gene again was not very friendly in his tone and took no responsibility for what had happened. His apology is, We are sorry this happened, and that WEVE had to deal with this. He finally offered me some compensation for my loses. $1000 with the stipulation that I leave no negative reviews and do not discuss the dealership negatively. And 3 years free oil changes (no way would I bring my car back to them).I refused his offer because I believe people need to know that while I was fighting the insurance I found out from their own tech and from their incident report I had to collect, MY CAR WAS ACTUALLY TOTALED 4 DAYS PRIOR TO THEM CONTACTING ME AND THEY TRIED TO HIDE IT!! Ive collected thorough documentation on all the events that occurred, and it is now my mission to warn people about this dealerships poor business practices. There are good people that work there that if they could have would have helped me more; these people are Bob **, Chris ** and Matt in sales.

2008 Acura MDX rear cupholder - We had an issue with the rear cup holder not opening properly. It was getting stuck. We dealt with it for several months. Finally, I decided to bring it in. They said, It looks like liquid was spilled on it, and could not be fixed, needed to be replaced. I paid for replacement parts and labor. Within a few months, it was doing the same thing. I questioned if my original one was defective and, in fact, not my fault at all. I asked if they could please fix and have the part ready so I would not have to make the trip out there again since it takes at least 2 hours for oil change. When I got there, they said, It looks like someone spilled liquid in it; we will order another one. It will be a day or two. I was frustrated because NO ONE spilled on the new one. Now I had to come back again when I specifically asked so we could avoid this. Then I find online an Acura Service Bulletin stating there are issues with this. Several people have the same problem and bring it in to have it fixed under warranty. Now I am really frustrated. When I confronted the service rep, Charlotte, she said, Well, that could be a new bulletin. No, it is 5 years old. Why did I have to find this on my own? Why did they just keep telling me, You spilled liquid? I expressed my aggravation and stated that I wanted my money back for the first one that I should not have had to pay for. She told me to call Acura. I said, Im in Acura dealership; who do I call? She said, Call California. Seriously! Then the service manager came out and said, I am not replacing this one as it is sticky, as he proceeds to show me the outside of the housing unit, which clearly has no effect on the internal mechanism. Then he began to ask me to read the bulletin. After 2 new cars from there and 8 years of loyal service to them? I spent thousands on new tires, service appointments, new parts, etc. And I am left with, Call California. I am very disappointed and I will no longer service my car there. I will no longer consider Acura for any future purchases.

Acuras are very stylish both inside and out and have a great technology package that makes driving much more productive and fun. Although theres not a lot of different cars that Acura produces, there are quite a few variables that go into each car, such as options. Plus they makes a variety of cars with differing sizes. I have the TLX which is a perfect size for my needs. I rarely have any passengers in the back seat but there is plenty of leg room for them when I do. I wholeheartedly recommend Acura as a great choice in cars. I would also strongly recommend anybody purchasing an Acura get the technology package because it provides an awesome GPS and sound system. In November 2018, we purchased a used certified 2018 Acura MDX Advanced (w/ 6K miles). This beautiful MDX was equipped with every bell and whistle imaginable. From November 2018 to May 2019, this vehicle performed perfectly. This is until last week when I took it in for required maintenance, a recall fix and a software update. Now, every time I stop at a traffic light or stop sign, the idle engine stop/start feature kicks in and its ANNOYING as hell. At a stop, you feel the engine idle down and then when I press the accelerator the engine does a hard restart. I thought something serious was wrong with the car. This is NOT a subtle stop and restart, its very pronounced and noticeable. I immediately complained to the dealership service manager. They said it was performing as expected. Furthermore, they instructed me to push the activation button to turn feature on and off each time I drive it. I never had to do this before last week. In fact, I told him that when I test drove this MDX, I would have been hesitant to purchase as this feels like an irregularity with the car. I asked them to reverse the software update and they would not. IMO, if this had been occurring in the 7 months prior, then it was discreet and barely noticeable; not now!! I am just sick about this. Warning to others... Google this issue because there are many complaints about it. How can this be economical saving me gas money... Always restarting the vehicle? I am going to wear out the electronic starter. I am so angry.

I bought new Acura RDX 2015 at the dealership. Acceleration is slow, breaks a bit noisy. Most importantly repeated problems with alternator and battery causing catastrophic failure on the road. Till owning Acura I never had a problem with alternator. In Acura its a persistent issue. We purchased a new Bellanova White 2015 Acura TLX in June. We noticed that there were runs and pits or dimples in the paint in several areas of the car. After contacting the dealer, they took the car in to repair the paint run. The service manager took pictures and sent them to the Regional Rep who approved repainting the runs, but since a camera could not pick up the pits, the Rep said that he would have to personally inspect the vehicle. The service manager told us that his staff would inspect the entire vehicle and he sent it out to have the runs and pits repainted. After having our car for about 2 months, the pits in the paint are still not fixed by the dealer. The regional rep, who was scheduled to personally inspect our car on Oct 20, 2015 cancelled the viewing and to our knowledge has never seen the vehicle. We have contacted the Acura corporate office and they notified us that Acura will not take any responsibility for the pitting/dimples in the paint and they dont consider it a defect. BUYER BEWARE!!! Our only option at this time is to report this matter to the State Attorney General and apply for a solution through the states Lemon Law. My wife and I have owned 8 Hondas/Acuras since the 80s including 1 new RSX and 3 new TLs/TLX. This is the most disappointing new car, or used car purchase either of us have ever experienced. On June 8, 2012, I took my car into Acura of Milford, CT for an oil change and check the AC which was not working properly. All was done or so I thought to thetune of $304.52. I brought the car home and after a few days, my grandson, who is going to school for mechanics, said my car was leaking oil. He checked it out in my garage and found that the oil drain plug was stripped and that it did not tighten properly and needed replacing. This should have been caught by the mechanics at the Acura dealership. This cars previous owner always used the dealership when anything had to be done and I have followed in her footsteps taking the car to be serviced there also. I am indeed dissatisfied and will think about taking my car for an oil change next time I need it. On top of this, I was never told the oil drain plug was stripped. If I had been told, it could have been replaced.

Apparently someone tried to steal my 2014 Acura MDX and thus it was immobilized by the anti-theft. They stole my sunglasses and apparently tried to use a crowbar to get in the window DENTING the window frame even though the car was unlocked! Therefore, I could not start my car as it was immobilized and was told to get the other key fob that was 30 minutes away at home. I could only get to that the later in the evening after the Acura service dept was closed. So the next day, today, beginning at 8 am, after TENS of calls with Acura Roadside Assistance and then with several non-English speaking tow truck drivers, the first tow truck could not get the car into neutral so they left. Hours pass, the second truck was not the right kind to pick it up after specific instructions were relayed that it had to be the special tow truck. Hours pass, the third truck had a flat tire so ultimately could not make it but failed to call. Hours pass and the fourth tow truck arrived 3 hours later than expected and then delivered the car to the WRONG DEALERSHIP ACROSS TOWN. I was then told that the car is nowhere to be found by that dealership and that the driver had driven away with it on his truck!!! Two hours later I was told it was found and being delivered to the right Acura service. Then I was told the car was LOST and could not be located at the new dealership! One hour later, after I called the last of five tow truck drivers and the dealership and connected the dots for them, the car was found again. As with technology there are many options that you can gauge which ones are more important and fix those ones and personalize as to your comfort. The Acura RSX model was definitely a nice vehicle for me. It got me to where I needed to go. And was a nice, fast, smooth ride, but not great in cold weather at all. I loved how it had cruise control for smooth, reliable, fun ride. The stereo was nice. Almost sounded like I had a system in it but it was generally just stock. All and all the heating was nice. You could change it for passenger and back seating. There was enough space as I didnt really have anyone riding passenger. However, not enough leg room for anyone over 57 in height. So I am only satisfied, not super happy about that. Nevertheless, it is sleek... Ultimately got so many compliments while driving it by random people in public places. Hoping someone might have some insight on this... I bought a TLX October 2015 and babied it. A few weeks ago my husband asked me what I hit, because he noticed spidering of the paint to the front bumper. I know that I didnt hit anything, but I figured sure, theres a chance someone hit my car. But the more I looked at it, it appears that theres a bubble in the paint, and then the spidering is stemming from that. The bizarre part is that the clear coat is flawless; not an imperfection or scratch. Wouldnt one think if something hit it enough to cause a bubble and spidering, then the clear coat (which took the impact) would be affected? I took it to the Bedford Acura where I purchased it. The mechanic looked at it and said it was probably from impact, its $275 to repaint that half of the bumper. The manager then looked at it and said I agree with you (myself), thats odd, if there was impact there should be damage to the clear coat. He took a picture and sent it to the regional sales rep and today I received a phone call back that they believe its from stress impact and its not covered in warranty. I know Im not paint or car specialist, but Im truly having a hard time accepting this, so hoped others might have insight... but Im very unhappy with the mixed opinions Ive had, and the instant rejection by the company. I will certainly be pursuing this further! Not sure if this factors in (I mentioned it at my most recent visit but they said it was totally unrelated), but December 2016 I came out to my car and noticed a silver plastic accent piece on that same side had just popped out from the bumper; the clips holding it in place were broken. Again, there was no surrounding damage, and no damage to the piece itself other than the inner clips having broken off. I took it in and they replaced that piece. Im now starting to wonder if theres something wrong with the whole bumper itself and thats whats causing all of these non-impact problems! And Im rather address it before it is out of warranty. Ugh.

I have owed 8 Hondas/Acuras in the last 30 years. This time my 2011 MDX is burning oil so I called Acura. They said I was under the mileage needed to have to rings and engine rebuilt but my time had expired so TOO BAD. I asked how they contacted me about this problem as they knew about the other 7 cars I owned. They said, Oh we contacted you. I asked how since they had my email, phone number and home address. They could not verify they sent anything. They could not even tell me how they contacted me. So Im going to put on a sandwich board above my car saying I got screwed by Honda/Acura. Ask me how. If this is customer service I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone.

Acura has comfortable luxury cars ranging from small sedans to SUV. I own the TL which is a luxury sedan with a V6 engine. They also have an Acura RL which is even more luxurious and the Acura MDX which is a luxury SUV. Acura has very good looking cars that are very comfortable, along with many luxury features. Seat warmers, air conditioning, hands free link, customizable seat adjustment, a huge trunk, leather seats. In the Acura TL you can customize your temperature, your seat position, and the side mirrors. The Acura MDX you can get leather interior and automatic locks. The Acura TL has a ton of space in the backseat and also has a ton of space in the front seat and also has a giant trunk. You can seat 5 people very comfortably. The Acura MDX seats 5 people with even more space in the front and in the back.

Acura RLX - DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!!!!!!! I bought the car because it says it gets 20/24/30. I get 15/19/25. Acura Relations - LOSERS - says sorry there are many factors in what your car gets. I put premium in it; drive the speed limit, have an empty car yet it gets 5 mpg less. I will NEVER buy an Acura again. Unfortunately I am in a three-year lease or I would get rid of it. ACURA HAS LOUSY CUSTOMER RELATIONS - dont buy this car or any Acura for that matter.

Acura offers many different options and MDX is a good one. Its the only we looked at. I knew I wanted an SUV with all the bells and whistles. I think I got everything FBI was looking for in a new vehicle. It has a pretty sporty appearance too and the options are far better than the average vehicle. First time Ive owned an Acura and so far its been a good car. It is roomy and it has the 3rd row seating. I like it because I have to haul extra kids around or put them In the back so I dont have to hear them.

I recently purchased a new 2019 Acura RDX a-spec and have been experiencing continuous issues and malfunctions with the infotainment system. Issues include system freezing, Calls not ending, unable to access navigation or apple car play, System remains on (sometimes all day) when car is shut off. System will shut off while driving and lock out of all functions. Loud screeching over speakers at random. Unable to adjust volume with steering wheel controls, etc. Several of these things I was able to document on video. I was instructed by the service manager to disconnect the battery and allow car to sit for 10-15 min before reconnecting. This sometimes resolves for a short period before the issues resurface again. Not to mention, a step that no owner of a brand new luxury brand vehicle should have to do. I recently took my car into Acura for service and they ended up keeping the car for 2 days to try and troubleshoot the issues. This is what the Service Rep sent me: Hey Tony, I got word back from my area rep that he has to cross reference the data with the field engineer to see if they feel like changing the infotainment system will address the concern or not. Some of the symptoms are known issues but have not had a fix developed yet, but we want to be sure we exhaust all options. After all that, they were unable to fix or replace anything. I was told that Acura is working on future software updates that they can push out to everyone, but for the time being, there is nothing that I can do. I feel like I bought a lemon that is probably dropping tremendously in value due to these ongoing issues. I would strongly avoid purchasing an Acura RDX and any other Acura with the same Infotainment platform. Acura RDX Owner Tony **

I leased a new 2018 Acura ILX, with 20 miles on the car. Drove home, and fitting and finish is below average at best. No spare tires, very cheap. After 2 weeks. the fuel gauge is still at full level, added a tank full of gas, well, it still shows full :-), contacted Acura client service, they suggest to tow the car to dealer for repair, called dealer, told to local Honda dealer for help? Dont lease Acura ILX like me, because I have to drive around to dealer, waste all the miles and plus the time to get a new car fixed. The car is louder, rough at low speed and they want 30000 dollars for it. Is this what Acura has become?

I have driven Honda/Acura since 1993 mostly with success until this last Acura. Because of social media, Acura service departments and other local owners as well as my own experience I know my current model of TL had many issues. I unfortunately had several of the models issue GPS disc drive, splitting of the dashboard, Power Steering leaks all of which can be verified by a simple google search. Here is the issue from the social media. They said contact Acura customer representative. The answer I received is that dashboards crack; but out of good faith we will fix yours for a $1000 which they claim is 50% of the cost. First, dashboards just do not crack. I do live in the south but I park in garages most of the time out of the sun. Second I had a recall on the Power Steering hose. They said it is fixed but I get a leak that I must fix. Confuses you? Yes, me too! They bottom line is there is no such thing as Acura customer support. They are rude and only out to help dealerships.

I purchased a new 2021 Acura TLX on Dec 6th, 2020. Around 7500 miles the car steering rack started to make a noise. I recorded the video and sent it to my local Acura dealership (Vandergriff Acura). They said other Acura had the same issues and I need to get the steering rack assembly changed. The part was back ordered and it couldnt be fixed right away. After 4-5 months of wait the part was back in stock and Vandergriff installed the whole new steering rack assembly. The car at that point only had 14,000 miles. I took the car back to Vandergriff 3 times because the car wasnt going straight. The first time it was pulling to the left and the next two times pulling to the right. Ithen took it to another dealer in my area, Goodson Acura. They performed an alignment for free and said the issue is fixed. I drove the car right after and again the issue was there. The car keeps going to the left. The sensors in the car has be reset and still the car doesnt go straight. I contacted Acura Client Relations and Sue from CA called me back. She called me 3 weeks ago. She mentioned she will call me back and let me know if I can bring the car into the dealership. Three weeks in and reaching out to her three times already, she hasnt called me back. I am getting frustrated I have a new car and it drives worst than my 2021Mazda 3. I will never buy a car from Acura again. I will stick with Audi and/or BMW. The contact number for the Acura Clients relationship person is 1-800-999-1009 ext **.

I got RDX 2018 model. I mainly tells what this lacks compare to other non-suv models. I expected decent options when I say word Acura or luxurious model. Rear passenger leg room is so small, my old Toyota Camry got much larger leg space. Acura provided two 12 v chargers. Guess what, they are cigarette lighting chargers. If any passenger want to charge their phone, they need to buy compatible charger. What a life! No power windows for passengers. No telescopic steering wheel, means no adjustments. Now, good things about this one, smooth transmission ride, power steering control, vehicle stability, and its sleek look and design suggestion, compare option from similar vehicle class and buy!

I leased a 2016 Acura TLX V6 AWD approximately two years ago, I finally traded it in recently: I attempted to address several issues that were not rectified to my satisfaction: 1. Transmission shifting issues, abrupt shifts and downshifts as if you are being rear ended. Dealer supposedly updated software, issue remained unresolved. 2. iPhone Bluetooth issues with new iPhone. Contacts do not populate, had issue for four months and was never resolved, they blamed Apple for the issues. 3. Brake rotors warped after close to a year and leads that 13k miles, they blamed my driving, had to pay to get them resurfaced. 4. Brake calipers rusted, cosmetically unappealing, I was told it does not affect performance even though they look horrible through the big alloy wheels.

Acura almost put the highest quality in their vehicles. They have models such as Acura MDX, RDX, and many more. The appearance is very stylish and the features are great. They come with the latest technology and everything to make your drive comfortable and safe. The upgrades are always top notch and I never have to worry about the quality. The personalization options are the best I have seen. I love being able to customize it the way I want. The passenger capacity is definitely the best. Always enough room for my passengers to have a comfortable ride. I dont have to worry about leg room. Im very satisfied with the look, performance, price, safety and much more.

There are a number of models to choose from and they range from the lower, cheaper models to the more expensive models with all the bells and whistles. It is a relatively higher end brand – not going to be on the lower price of cars but there are other brands that are much more expensive. There were a lot of personalization options available but of course they are all pricey but you get what you pay for. Overall I was pretty happy. It is fairly roomy and a little bit bigger than other cars. I am satisfied with passenger capacity.

After 5 years of being a faithful customer, when I bought out my lease the numbers were all over the place, I suspect intentionally. I suspiciously could never find a clear summary of the payoff amount, taxes charged, and all other fees on my account, and when I called for them to clarify they didnt seem to know. I was given a payoff amount, but a higher amount was deducted from my account. Not ok.When I received the signed bill of sale and title it showed that theyd taken almost $1400 more than the bill of sale said I should have been charged. I immediately opened a case on the transaction with my bank and call Acura. It took several weeks before they got back to me and when they did instead of apologizing and fixing the problem and refunding my money, they dared to argue with me and give me attitude. They admitted they made a mistake on the signed bill of sale so they wanted to send me another one for a higher amount. Every time I pointed out this was their error and not really my problem she corrected me with the word typo lol, and then went so far as to accuse me of trying to take advantage of a lower price! I couldnt believe what I was hearing. Aside from the fact that the bill of sale was binding, I explained I already used it to transfer the title and other things, so theres no going back now...She still just argued and accused me, she even said I should have called them to verify the bill of sale amount! Even though the Bill of sale is binding! What world is this? Honestly their defensiveness makes me wonder if this wasnt all an intentional scam. If it was really just an error then when the shoe is on the other foot and they stand to lose money, they really wont stand for it, will they. Funny how that works. Even when I told her Id already spoke to a lawyer she still got defensive and argued with me. There is no point even talking to them obviously they will not fix their problem, I regret ever buying from Acura. Check and DOUBLE CHECK ALL your numbers with them (especially sales tax!!)

2007 Acura MDX Elite - I have had battery issues also, kept boosting drained battery; then took to dealer for testing. The problem was a parasitic drain caused by the phone link component in steering wheel, this is a $741 part. I choose to disconnect the device instead without any further issue. In response to some of you who have had shock and strut problems, I replaced the with after market products, cost $185 + labour per unit (dealer cost $740 per for rear, $1000 for front struts). So yes, after market works just dandy and by the way, this is the first shock/strut replacement after 248,000km, all hard cdn driving.

2012 Acura TL Power steering fails. From the airbag recall to the transmission recall I can handle. Now the fact that my power steering suddenly seizes and leaves me in the middle of an intersection with a non functional vehicle I cannot handle. The answer? Pay to have the EPS replaced. Now, going on blogs this is a COMMON issue and should be a recall warranty issue! Not self pay. Someone is going to die until Acura/Honda notices. Its not right. I have been a Honda or Acura owner for years. I will tell you, this will be my last. It is dangerous and someone will die then they might listen.

When we purchased the 2011 Acura RDX Turbo, I asked my salesman what was the actual gas mileage for this car. The sticker said 19/26 but he said 16/22. This car is driven very conservatively and we are averaging only 13.5 to 14 per gallon. My question is what can be done about this and why would Acura produce a car that only gets this kind of mileage when all other car makers are engineering their cars for economy driving, not a gas hog? The car is a decent automobile except for my complaint. I just might sell this car and go to another brand.

Acura has SUVs, sedans and different varieties of them and they are pretty well laid out. Pound for pound it is one of the best luxury values in the market hands down, and I am overall very satisfied with my purchase. There are a lot of personalization options for the average buyer but the price points are the main issues. Since it is luxury the options are priced accordingly and if you are on a budget, can break or exceed it. The car has a gorgeous interior and is a pretty car. It is very modern with a lot of technological innovation. You have options for leather or less luxurious interiors but it is all well done and nice. The car is generally pretty roomy and comfortable. It is not a bed or your favorite chair but as far as driving from place to place it is a good seat, and certainly more comfortable than lower end brands and things like airplane seats.
