Acura Announces All-New Integra Pre-Order Date
Posted On: February 14, 2022
While detractors haven't had many positive things to say, the revival of the Acura Integra is an exciting return to the arena of sporty compact cars for the brand. Based on the eleventh generation Civic Si, it will gain motivation from a turbocharged 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. If its Honda cousin is anything to go by, the Integra will pack at least 200 horsepower under its angular hood. rnThe premium carmaker has announced that the sporty Integra will be available for pre-order from March 10. Prospective buyers can add their names to the list and be among the first to reserve a limited number of production units when the car goes on sale in spring this year. What's more, Acura has said that pricing should start at around $30,000. Should a Type S derivative join the range, it will certainly be more expensive. The company is very proud of the fact that the Integra is the only vehicle in its class to offer a six-speed manual gearbox. First seen in November last year, the five-door liftback has come under fire from Integra fans for straying too far from the original recipe. Last seen in the early '00s, the nameplate once belonged to an iconic performance coupe which, in the case of the Type R, was said to have one of the best front-wheel-drive chassis'. Despite the new body style, the Integra is still promising keen drivers plenty of excitement. As mentioned, the six-speed gearbox is a breath of fresh air, especially as we move toward electrification and the manual gearbox edges further toward extinction - but maybe not, if Toyota has anything to do with it. The starting price of around $30,000 isn't that far off the Civic Si's base MSRP of $27,300 and also places it firmly in the sights of the Golf GTI and its sedan sibling, the Jetta GLI. The $27,495 Subaru WRX should also prove a very worthy contender. Despite this, Acura is promising the new Integra to be a proper driver's car. Acura heavyweight Jon Ikeda has previously said, the new model will continue the tradition of the old model, delivering "on the original's unique aspirational yet attainable market position, with emotional performance and style, combined with the versatility and utility sought after by today's buyers." Priced close to some very impressive performers, the Acura Integra will have to be an immensely impressive car to sway buyers of the aforementioned competition.

It serves the purpose and really is all that is needed. It is stylish and yet passes safety tests. The car steers well and is smooth on the road. It has a lot of extras on the body and inside. I feel proud to drive it. Sometimes I just get in it and drive just for the pleasure it provides. It is leather on the inside and has a stylish sunroof. Also there are a lot of ways it can be personalized from top to bottom. It can come in several colors and personal choices. The tires can be upgraded along with the stereo system. There are lots of room with a total of five people. The belts and the seats are comfortable. It sits well and has lots of room upfront as well as in the rear.

I came into Rosenthal Acura, Gaithersburg looking for a used car so I could purchase at a low cost due to my financial issues. I was looked down upon by the sales manager. He was really rude and was not helpful in finding the right car I wanted. Although my salesman and everyone else were really helpful, the manager was equally rude. After I made my complaint to him, he made funny gestures and took out his phone and ignored me. I refuse to ever step foot into that dealer again. What kind of a sales manager treats a customer in that manner?

My family has been a loyal Honda customer for 30+ years and 6+ Honda cars. Weve loved their reliability and dependability. That being said, it is unfortunate that I have had a negative experience with most my recent vehicle. I drive a certified pre-owned 2012 Acura TL Tech Package, which I purchased in 2014. Since the purchase, the car has driven very well, showing no indication of any issues. Though I purchased this vehicle in a metroplex, I live in a rural area. I drive 60 miles round-trip to and from work. Last Wednesday, while driving on a rural highway between offices, the car lost all power without any warning traveling at 75mph. The RPM dial went crazy, and then the check engine lights flickered (check charge system, check ABS, check VSA). Luckily, I was able to pull over to the shoulder. I let it run, hoping it would stay on until I could get assistance. After about 5 minutes, it shut down completely. I was stranded in between 2 small towns on a rural highway with spotty cell phone coverage plus the inconvenience of missing work. I could not restart the car—absolutely no lights came on. Thankfully, I was able to contact a tow service to tow the car back to my house (28 miles away). I assumed the battery was the issue and replaced it, which worked for 5 minutes before it was completely drained. I live 350 miles from the nearest Acura dealer, so I had to tow it there. When I got it to Acura on Saturday, they ran diagnostics on the car and determined it was a faulty alternator, covered by my extended warranty and fixed the problem. My main concern with this situation is that there was no warning whatsoever to alert me of a problem. Had I been alerted, I would have acted proactively to prevent this from occurring, especially since I live so far from a dealer. I can only imagine how much worse this could have been had it happened in the middle of the night in this rural area, or if this happened on a 5-lane highway in a big city during the morning or evening commute. When I mentioned the lack of warning to the Acura service guy, he said, “Sometimes there is no warning on these things.” That is a problem. There should always be some form of warning before a relatively new vehicle is malfunctioning. Acura needs to determine why their vehicles are not warning the drivers of potential repairs for the safety of its drivers and all other drivers.

Acura has a lot of options depending on the size of the car that you are looking for. I would recommend that you try different ones. They also have a lot more of high tech options that are necessary in this age. Sports car SUV sedan has great stereo equipment and easy to learn how to work things. As with technology there are many options that you can gauge which ones are more important and fix those ones and personalize as to your comfort. Plus their cars are very roomy have plenty of room in the back of the car space for cargo and really good amount of leg room in front and back. Even with car seats can fit 3 in the back.

I have had a great experience with my Acura. I got it for a good deal and it has been reliable for over 5 years. I did have to get a new transmission, but if you take care of this car, it will run forever. I love my car and am so thankful I had such a great first car experience. I also like the heated seats and wonderful heat and AC. The car accelerates quickly and well, too. The transmission problems are really the only problem I have really had with this vehicle. But the car is otherwise very reliable and safe to drive. I have never felt in danger or like I did not get my moneys worth.

Leather seats, heated seats, GPS, moon roof, 6 disc player, power windows, power locks, automatic and manual 6 cylinder, rides smooth, radio sounds really good and loud. Acura is generally a good looking car and it gets a lot of compliments and its not that bad in the snow. The passenger capacity holds about the driver which is 1 and then the passenger up front is 1 then the back holds at least three people so the car holds about five people.

My 2010 MDX 3.7L Engine has been consuming 1 quarts of oil for every 800 miles driven. At 125,000 miles the number 2 cylinder is reading 58 PSIs. The other cylinders are reading 205 with a pressure gauge. The engine is now ruined and I have to replace the engine at 125,000 miles. Honda is aware of the problem and has done nothing. I purchased a 2015 Acura TLX Oct 2015. Day 1 of picking up the car it had a rattling noise in the speaker. I reported it to John Eagle where I purchased it and brought it back for service. Since then I have brought the car back 7 times to the dealership and they have not been able to fix. They will not replace the speakers or anything in the sound system. I have the car volume on a level of 3 and it still make that noise. If I turn the volume up higher you can hear the knocking noise from outside the car. The dealership finally had an Acura District Manager come out on 7/8/15 and know they are saying that they cannot fix the problem and there is no fix for the problem. They kept saying it is indicative of the type of car. The guy I am working at Acura corporate said he will get back to me which means I have to call him 3 or more time to get a response. The dealership admits that there is an engineering problem with the TLX but there is no resolution for it. If anyone has any advice or how to remedy the issue please let me know. Very frustrated that I worked very hard to get a luxury car and realize that I got better service when I had Ford, Subaru and a Honda. This my seventh leased vehicle, 4 Hondas leased and they are going to lose a customer that has had great history. So upset with the situation.

Acura RDX has been a very dependable vehicle until recently. We started having a water leak come from behind the windshield. It took a week for the Acura dealer to figure out where the leak was coming from. Also, when I drive over any bumps, it has always made a rattling noise and its annoying! I wish that I purchased a Toyota RAV4 instead. Even so, I like the way the vehicle handles on the road and the comfort of the seats. It also has plenty of storage. I felt this vehicle was a good value as well.

On March 22, 2014, I purchased a certified used 2012 Acura TL. I drove the vehicle on a long distance trip and I developed a headache and didnt associate it with the car at the time. When I arrived to my destination, I had a migraine headache. I continued to drive the car and more symptoms developed. I realized that it was something in the car which was causing the reaction (headaches, tingling/sensation on my lips which caused soreness and cracking/chapping, tightness in my chest and throat, irritation/tingling of my eyes and sensitivity of my gums and teeth and queasiness). I returned the car numerous times in order to clean the seat belts, remove the leather protector and deodorize the car. Unfortunately, the reactions persisted.I visited over 12 dealerships and all the cars that I drove caused a reaction. Some reactions were mild and others were severe. 2,500 miles were added to the odometer since I took possession of the car. The car was parked because I didnt want to continue to take Benadryl to prevent a physical allergic reaction every time I drove the car. I visited an allergist in order to find out why I was having a reaction to cars and was advised that the cause is formaldehyde. At this point, I was very concerned about my health. On 09/23/2014, I purchased a new 2013 Volvo S80. The Acura dealership agreed to buy the TL back for $25,000.00; which $5,301.30 was added to the purchase of the Volvo. Unfortunately, Im still having a reaction but it’s not as severe as the 2012 Acura TL. I took allergy and sinus medicine for two weeks after I purchased the Volvo which I thought would eliminate the reaction. From my understanding, that legally the dealership didnt have to buy the car back and the lemon law doesn’t apply to used vehicles. I tried to return the 2012 Acura TL a few weeks after I purchased the vehicle. What rights does a person have when a certified used car is purchased? I’m not sure if it will be feasible to seek legal advice since I dont have the vehicle any longer. If not, I would like consumers to know that it’s a proven fact that a person can have an allergic reaction to a car. This is a unique situation and Im not sure if there are other related cases, but I would like to be that person who takes this issue to the highest resources. I will provide all documents if needed.

2007 mdx - I have 2 acuras and love both but will never buy another. Transmission error light came on at 90500 miles. So i brought it to Oxmore Acura in Louisville. They did a test and showed me a report that the PCM failed and stated it had to be replaced because the car could stop running. I paid the $900 and they replaced it. After it is replaced they tell me i need to replace the 3rd gear pressure switch. I said I thought the problem was the PCM since the reason I came in was I wanted the transmission issue corrected. Turns out the FAIL wasnt because of any transmission problem but a recommend change because the car was 7 years old. I feel like that was a fraud. Will never step in a Acura dealership again.

Our 2007 MDX was taken in for A/C evaluation. The A/C was repaired but then we were given a list of other items that needed attention: Drive Belt (glazing and cracking), Engine Coolant Dirty, Power Steering Leaking and required new pump, right front stabilizer Links needed replacing. Plus all fluids low and dirty including the transmission and brake fluid. After picking up the vehicle with just A/C service, I immediately drove it over to a reputable repair service that is AAA approved. The only item that would need to be replaced within the next 10K miles or so was the right front stabilizer Links. The mechanic showed us the power steering = no leak, the fluids = clean and full, and the drive belt was perfect. How do dealers get away with this?

One of the best cars around. Acura offers one the most comfortable, spacious, and trendy car Ive seen on the market. Its models remind me of body builders, strong and muscular. Buff appearance and very durable. It appeals to both genders with its sporty models. The mid size sedans can be compared to many luxury cars by being both spacious and appealing to the eye. An Acura can fit an average size family comfortably. I personally have driven the car holding 5 passengers with no problem or space issues. There are many options for upgrading and giving your Acura a personal touch. LED lights are my personal favorite. You can also add things like all weather floor mats and automatic car start for reasonable prices.

I own a 03 TL. I purchased it used back in 2006 with less than 42,000 miles on it. About 7 months later, I had issues with car skipping gears. Took it to the dealership and was told I needed to get my PCM, 2 engine mounts, and transmission replaced. At this time, I had only 53,800+ miles. Had I not bought the extended warranty, I would have had to pay for the PCM and engine mounts to be replaced. Now fast forward the 2014, check engine light is on as well as TCS. Had various places check it out and they told me it appears to be a transmission problem/torque converter clutch solenoid issue and to have the dealer check it out. I was hoping that it wasnt that. They tell me my transmission is pretty much shot. Im like, seriously? Im just now getting over 173,300 miles and my 2nd tranny has failed? Very disappointed. Acura knew about these problems and they should be held responsible for this. People cant afford to replace things like that every 100k miles or so. That should not happen. Needless to say, I will not be owning another Acura.

On 6/23/10, I experienced transmission failure from my 2002 Acura MDX and brought it to an Acura dealership. I was not informed of the recall issued 4/15/04 impacting transmissions for this year and model and was quoted for full replacement. Therefore, I had rebuilt at another facility due to cost at Acura dealership. Then on 8/14/11, I was traveling back from a trip and my transmission locked up on the highway almost resulting in a crash. I had to have the car towed 215 miles back to the transmission shop that serviced the vehicle. After further research, I identified that this issue was a result of the gear shift becoming too hot at a high speed, causing the transmission to grenade inside. This was exactly what is described as the defect consequence in the recall information. Due to the faulty transmission design, an additional jet oil kit is needed in order to ensure the transmission functions properly to allow fluid to flow through the transmission and dissipate heat. I placed a claim with Acura product services because both transmission issues were due to overheating of the gears. They denied my case and did not even contact the two shop references verifying both transmission issues were a result of this.

It has a nice easy functions. Its a four-door 3.5 TL with brown interior and is fabulous looking. The car has a hands-free dialing, moonroof that’s just beautiful at night, cassette deck, CD player and great sound system that just blast on my latest tunes. Nice and roomy for door on the truck app for the size of the car is absolutely big as a tire that goes underneath that fits in that room better replacement for any flat tires that you might get. Great car. I would recommend to anyone.

2009 Acura TSX is Junk. Interior that looked like leather is really rubber as thin as a balloon, all around the seat sides, head rest and arm rest. Falling apart at 90,000 miles and looks like the car has leprosy. Very sad for such an expensive auto. Burns oil like an old Chevy. I will never by another Acura or Honda. Compare that to my Toyota Tacoma. 12 years old, 130,000 miles, interior looks new and mechanically have never had any failure of any kind. What was I thinking to buy to Acura?

Acura has several different models that they offer and they last a long time if taken care of correctly. The colors they offer are great. They have many great features that other models and brands do not offer. All of their makes have more than enough room no matter how tall or big you are. You can have passengers in you car and they would be comfortable with room.

I am a huge fan of Acura as well as Samsung and anything about cars and electronics intrigues me. I own a TSX ACURA year of 2010, I am greatly in love with it. Acura has a nice sleek look that make it different from other cars on the road today in 2016. The best part about it that it is luxury but not too expensive, great running car and very dependable. Plus you can fit one person in your front seat and 3 in the back with enough seat belts for everyone. I like factory items on an Acura to keep it classy, however, I did spice up my TSX up with some custom wheels, black and chrome. They go great with the car and makes it look like a combination of sport and luxury. However, I have had an issue with the navigation system draining too much battery causing my battery to go dead frequently.

I leased a 2014 Acura RDX. The vehicle was recalled due to a faulty airbag. The parts will take two months to come in but we dont want to drive the car due to the safety risk. Acura, via my local dealer, provided a rental car that is far below the quality of the RDX. For example, no navigation. I complained to the dealer and to Acura Customer Affairs. Policy is that they only provide a vehicle - not an equivalent vehicle. At the same time, I am still paying the full lease for a car that I cant drive. Is this fair? Very poor job on the part of Acura.

2011 Acura tsx. Worst riding car Ive ever had. First and last Honda Ive ever/will ever own. Interior rattles everywhere from the time it was new. Cheap thin paint on front of car - looks like its been sandblasted. Im easy on my cars. This was a daily driver with mostly Highway miles. Transmission went out at only 75k. Never had trans problems with any car Ive ever owned. From what I hear, this is typical. Honda transmissions are some of the worst made. GM and Toyota are best. Oh well, you live and learn. I leased a 2016 RDX in March. The first few days of driving I noticed a vibrating sound under the hood near the passenger side. I took my car back to the dealer in Santa Monica and was told it happens on these cars. Its the brake pump adjusting. The agent told me he tested other 2016 RDXs and he heard the noise. Well it continued. I took it back the following week and I drove around with a service agent and of course I could not replicate the noise. It only happens occasionally but its very irritating! I was told unless they hear it when driving the car there is nothing they can do. I had a 2104 RDx I loved, Im starting to hate this car.

These cars always have looked good and seems to get better with time. The features have got better over time, better radios, better interior design and power everything. At the dealership you can customize your car with tinted windows rims, also custom colors you can change out the interior colors and you can add TVs. Depending on the model of the vehicle you purchased you can sit anywhere from a two-seater to a full-size family vehicle just depends on the preference of your family.

I bought the Acura MDX 2007 1/1/2014. The car had this battery issue that caused it to died. In the span of 5 months, four of the car battery died. Each time we replaced it with a new battery. After the fourth time we brought it up to the dealer because we have a warranty. The dealership claimed that replacing the HFL unit and the the battery cable which would total around $670. We only have drove it for around 4,000 miles and this was outrageous. The dealership would refuse to accept that the warranty would cover this. The warranty claims that this isnt cover and the dealer said that the warranty refused to pay the $670 required to fix this. After calling the warranty company for hours, they refused to fix this. After reading online for a while I notice that Im not the only one with this issue, its a common occurrence for other acura owners. A note to buyers, check your warranty! Make sure to check what they cover and what they dont. We paid around $2,400 for the warranty for 3 years and this hasnt even been a year and were having this issue. The warranty company is MPP (mechanical protection plan). Make sure youre checking what you get before you buy it! We basically spent $2,400 for nothing. Another annoying thing was when we sent the car in for repair, the dealership didnt offer us a replacement car to help us travel around while its being repair. They also didnt bother calling us back. I had to call them and ask whats going on. If you have had similar car issue and resolved this Im in need of help. Please message me!

I leased a 2016 Acura TLX V6 AWD approximately two years ago, I finally traded it in recently: I attempted to address several issues that were not rectified to my satisfaction: 1. Transmission shifting issues, abrupt shifts and downshifts as if you are being rear ended. Dealer supposedly updated software, issue remained unresolved. 2. iPhone Bluetooth issues with new iPhone. Contacts do not populate, had issue for four months and was never resolved, they blamed Apple for the issues. 3. Brake rotors warped after close to a year and leads that 13k miles, they blamed my driving, had to pay to get them resurfaced. 4. Brake calipers rusted, cosmetically unappealing, I was told it does not affect performance even though they look horrible through the big alloy wheels.

This car is driven very conservatively and we are averaging only 13.5 to 14 per gallon. My question is what can be done about this and why would Acura produce a car that only gets this kind of mileage when all other car makers are engineering their cars for economy driving, not a gas hog? The car is a decent automobile except for my complaint. I just might sell this car and go to another brand.

I am current/original first owner of 2005 Acura TL. My car has dashboard cracked and airbag sign showed on screen. And Ive researched on web and found this is common issue/problem that many TL owners are experiencing. I recently went to Acura dealership for trade in my 05 TL for 2017 MDX and my vehicle appraised was $0.00. They said they couldnt buy it from me with dashboard cracked and sell it in their dealer. FYI my TL has about 148,000 miles and has good condition.I cannot believe Acura knows theres a problem with dashboard cracked on almost every TL they manufactured and not taking any action. What if theres airbag issue and not function it properly because of cracked dashboard? Is airbag going to function well? This is safety issue and Acura should make recall to check who has dashboard cracked. I dont think I am never going back to Acura again after experiencing this kind of bad service.

My 2011 Accura MDXs GPS system is often inaccurate, provides misleading direction, and is a logically inferior product. Since purchase, my GPS has often taken me on wild chases in the wrong direction, gives misleading information as to the actual direction of the destination, and continues to offer business address options for businesses which have closed more than 8 years ago, despite the fact that a 2012 mapping system was purportedly installed in my vehicle just last year. Everything else on the vehicle is great, but the GPS, because of the foregoing is virtually worthless. Yes, 60% of the time it works well, but that is not enough to trust when accuracy is important. In addition, there is no one to whom one can complain at Accura since there seems to be a stone wall between the manufacturer and its customers. The dealership knows little and offers little on this issue, except to replace the bad map with an equally bad one.

My husband bought a 2016 MDX from Acura Ramsey in Ramsey, NJ on June 27, 2015. One week after that he started having problems with the car. On Saturday we were out to dinner the car started giving weird noises and it said transmission problems. On Monday I tried to take the car to the dealer but all of a sudden the car stopped on RT 17. We had to tow the car to the dealer. When I was at the service I asked them what would happen with the car and they told me to talk to the sales manager Chuck **. When I went to his office he did not even told me to come in and I had to talk to him standing by the door. Actually first response I got from him was There is nothing to talk about. Go to the service and wait for your car. I asked him nicely what the procedure because it was a major problem with transmission. He again told to get out of his office and go to the service department and wait for the car. I did not understand why he was so mean and refused to talk to me and I asked him but he got worse. He kept saying Obviously you do not understand me again and again. I reminded him that I may not be a native speaker but I perfectly understand English and I am a US Citizen and I have the right to know what the procedure but he again treated me like an immigrant who did not understand anything. Unfortunately he was getting worse every time I opened my mouth. I did not understand why he was so rude and mean and why he was discriminating me saying that I did not understand him. I also have an MDX that I have bought from the same dealer in 2011 and I have been going to the same service since then. I have never ever been insulted and discriminated like this before. Actually I have never been treated like this in my life before. Brand new car stopped on a highway. I was totally traumatized and shocked. I did not know what to do. Instead of saying sorry he kept insulted me. He never ever not even once said he was sorry. I was so upset that I was shivering and crying but he seriously did not care about what happened or how I felt because of a car that we paid $60,000. This has been one of the worst days and treatment in my life. I like my car but I think Acura has the worst customer service and they do not think about doing anything about it since my husband also complaint about him via email a week ago and nobody responded his emails. I hope they will do something to improve their customer service and they do not hire these kind of people who do not know how to treat customer who has already bought two SUVs from them.

I know it’s a huge review but please read it before you make a decision to buy Acura ILX! Maybe it will help you to change your mind! Since the moment I bought a brand new Acura ILX 2020 as a pleasure car in July 2020, I have already visited Prime Acura Dealership 10 times. The main issue – is a loud clunking noise that coming from the front side of the vehicle so you can feel it in the floor when tapping the gas while cruising and also from the passenger’s side and also hesitation while driving. All these problems occurred when the mileage on the car was about 3500 miles. To solve the issues, the dealership made a decision to replace the right axel (twice) and the intermediate shaft. They unsuccessfully tried to resolve the issue with the noise two times. When I came back to the dealership with the same problem the 3rd time, they told me that the noise is actually a normal characteristic of the vehicle. When I asked them why it was considered abnormal before and now it became normal, the mechanic told me that he didn’t know this particular model very well at that point. When I tried to look for a help in the other dealerships, I had received the same answer – the noise is the normal characteristic and the car is acting as designed. When I came back to the dealership with the same problem (it was my 6th time) the mechanic with more than 20 years of experience at Acura, who did a test drive, told me that the main reason of the noise could be transmission defect and that, possibly, there is a transmission replacement required. But after couple days of working with my car, the manager of the dealership got back to me with the answer that the car is acting normal. I have a camera in my car that recording 24/7, and the moment where the mechanic mentioned the transmission defect was recorded. But when I came home and check my recordings, I found out that that particular piece is missing. I have never had any issues with my camera before! Unfortunately, nobody from the dealership was able to explain me how that happened. To my great luck, I forgot to switch my clock to winter time, and because of that I have all the videos that I thought have been deleted. I decided not to give up and made an appointment with the engineer at Prime Acura. I requested a joint test drive with him, but at the dealership they told me that this is impossible because of the COVID-19. It was weird to me, because they allowed joint test drives with the mechanics but no with the engineers. When I realized that nobody at Prime Acura wants to help me, I went to the independent licensed mechanics who confirmed that the problem exists –“ there are hesitation during acceleration and thumping noise during up shifts, problem is indicated as internal transmission or TCM programming issue”. It was exactly the same words that the mechanic at Acura said to me before they changed their minds. One day I couldn’t start my car, because the battery died (Brand new car!). I had to ask my husband to jump the car and rafter that I went to the Prime Acura right away. The mechanic performed the test and told me that the battery died because it was defective. They replaced the battery, but 3 weeks later I found out that my camera was not recording in the parking mode, although it was before the battery was replaced. The mechanics who installed the camera told me that the battery voltage falls below 12 volts and the camera stops the recording. I came back to Prime Acura to ask what battery they installed, because before the replacement there were no issues with the camera whatsoever. The answer that I received was the power capacity of the battery is small and the camera is too heavy for it. When I asked them why it never happened to my old battery they just tried to avoid to answer the question and only repeated that the battery is too small.I tried to look up the problem and found a few articles about the camera, stating that the camera can’t kill the battery. I sent those to the Prime Acura rep. I just wanted to get answers on my questions but instead I received very rude email from him where he says that he doesn’t want to continue the conversation. Bottom line, I haven’t seen worse customer service that was provided by Prime Acura. They haven’t fixed my problem, they haven’t shown any desire to help or at least sympathy and respect towards me as the client. I DO NOT RECOMMEND to buy Acura ILX! This 26k purchase only gave me a huge headache and a lot of stress, humiliation and prejudice of my customer and human rights. Acura doesn’t stand by their product or does the right thing by the customer! The actual quality doesn’t comply with stated, car warranty is nothing but a joke and the “premium class” is just a dial tone.

Very displeased for how Acura does not stand by their product and does not value a repeating customer. I have purchased 4 Acuras in the last 10 years and am sad to say I will not purchase another. In 2010 I bought a 2009 Acura TL and here recently in the past year I have had issues with the rubber seals around all the windows, windshield and around all moldings on the outside of the car. I have explained to the dealership and a customer care manager at Acura Care services what my issues are and that my car is garage kept away from all natural elements. The window moldings have completely melted away leaving an inch gap between the door frame and window on all doors which allows water to fall freely within the door. Also cold/hot air flows into the car due to this so having the air turned on high in either condition is a must. When Acura Care was contacted and a case was opened I was advised due to the cars age they will not help at all. I asked if the pictures that were taken at the dealership were looked at. They replied that no pictures were seen or sent by dealership but the decision has been made. They will not be able to do anything for me. I again said that it isnt like I have been tampering with the seals or weather stripping but it is literally melting away to the touch and flying off the car as I am driving, again no concern was shown by the Acura Care Case Manager. Again I have purchased 4 Acura cars but WILL NOT BE DOING SO AGAIN EVER. VERY DISSATISFIED AND SAD TO KNOW THAT ACURA DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT! I have a 98 Ford F-150 that stays in the TEXAS heat 365 days of the year and have never experienced this or anything near this on it. Yes it is a 09 but just barely has over 100k miles on it and is garage kept. Product is faulty and ACURA knows that is why they dont stand by their product or value true customers.

Till owning Acura I never had a problem with alternator. In Acura its a persistent issue. I have had a number of expensive nuisance issues with my MDX that I paid handsomely for. From day 1 it has had a slow leak in the tire that they say there is nothing wrong with. The drivers side window whistles and they say it is not a known problem and nothing they can do about; and now most recently I was pulled over by the police for a tail light that was not working. I replaced the bulb myself, no avail. Acura says $500 for a new tail light assembly. What does it say about the quality of construction when an enclosed tail light assembly needs to be replaced??? I started my 2012 TSX and got intermittent flashing of my check power steering system, total loss of power steering physically. I asked Acura for concession and they declined. I havent been able to drive my car cause of unsafe amount of force to turn steering wheel at low speeds. Also, the estimate was outrageous. $740 just for the new EPS control module. I find other failures of 2012 TSX EPS, one of them is here on this site, Victoria of Millstone Township NJ. Another failure on Acurazine blog site, found it through google search of electronic power steering failure 2012 TSX.

The car was white with a lot of features like ac, automatic, tinting on the window, leather seats, huge mirrors, reclinable seats. It was really easy to use and the manual helped with any issues. Its a very good car for a modest family with kids. The car seat were really comfortable, even for a long drive, lots of legroom for passengers and easy access with the 4 doors.

My Acura TL 2014 model was purchased new and I never had a black vehicle but always seen black cars and they looked great. The vehicle has a V6 engine and plenty of power and the style is sleek, aerodynamic curves and it a great vehicle. The only issue I have are the tire sensors fail consistently and these are a nuisance as I have my own pressure gauge to measure the tire pressure. The vehicle rides so smoothly on various roads while steering is very comfortable and ease to control the vehicle. Overall I recommend this vehicle but my taste has changed in terms of car type. I would like to pursue a mid sized SUV in the future.

I purchased it used around August of 2010. The vehicle had approximately 122,000 miles on it and was in great shape body wise and mechanically. About four months ago, I could feel the transmission beginning to slip. Recently, it has become dangerous to drive this vehicle. While accelerating, the car will slip into neutral. I was nearly rear ended by a vehicle following too closely when I lost power. Once, while stopped at a red light, it drove with my foot on the brake and the car went into reverse. If I had hit the gas hard, I would have crashed into the vehicle behind me.

Three people could also sit back there. The trunk is roomy enough as well. However, anytime I go to buy a car from Acura the colors available are very limited. Seat warmers, air conditioning, hands free link, customizable seat adjustment, a huge trunk, leather seats. In the Acura TL you can customize your temperature, your seat position, and the side mirrors. The Acura MDX you can get leather interior and automatic locks. The Acura TL has a ton of space in the backseat and also has a ton of space in the front seat and also has a giant trunk. You can seat 5 people very comfortably. I leased with Acura for two consecutive 3 year term and I initially thought it was a great vehicle (MDX) and great service until I decided to try another car company. I received an invoice for almost $3000 for excessive wear and tear. The report indicated that I had a poor repair and my car was NEVER in need of repair in the three years I had it! I was charged for two tires when only one didnt meet the spec requirements. Youre fine as long as you keep your money with Acura... They dont bill you unless you decide to leave. Fusion Auto Finance asked me to take the vehicle for inspection on Long Island and I live on Staten Island: it was a major inconvenience to me. The communication from Fusion Auto Finance initially billed me over $1600 because there was an error stating that my lease was overdue when it wasnt! The miscommunication to rectify that error was insane. Then, in dealing with Ms. Doreen ** and her supervisor Marissa **, the miscommunication continued in trying to ground my vehicle from another dealership. Overall, it was a nightmare that I never want to go through again. The corporate office (Drake ext. ** at Fusion Auto Finance) was rude and did not want to do anything else but collect my money. Its ABUSIVE and they (Drake of Fusion Auto Finance) made accusations of damages to the car and then accused me of lying when I said the vehicle was never in need of repair!! I will NEVER give my business to Acura again. They totally rip you off. There are so many other dealerships that offer better.

Bought the Acura RL used with @30K miles. Had some factory warranty remaining plus I bought an extended warranty from Acura dealer and had car serviced regularly at that dealership. At @50K miles, the car developed a malodorous odor of burning oil, especially strong when parked in enclosed garage after having been driven. I suspected an oil leak dripping onto hot exhaust component and complained to dealership on each of three or four service visits while warranty was in effect. Dealership claimed they could not smell the odor or find any leak. On the next service visit AFTER the warranty expired, I complained again and dealership said the engines rear main oil seal was dripping onto exhaust causing odor and wanted @$1000 to fix it. Appealed all the way to Honda headquarters but was not able to get Honda to fix the problem which had been present and had been reported during warranty period. Leak has now reached the point to where it puddles on garage floor. In addition, on the same visit, dealership said front shocks were bad. Additionally, had five repeat problems with SRS system, and the fuel pump relay failed and stranded me at the grocery store with a car load of groceries. The car looks good and drives good, but it is unreliable, prone to breakdown and definitely not worth its cost.

Its high class. Not a lot of work needs to be done because of the quality of the car itself. It offers Integra which I had myself. Then you have the sort ILX and MDX. Its a lot of sporty type cars with smaller engines to save games. It has different models. For example the base model is like an normal car, maybe power windows and a standard stereo. Then you have the different packages to go along with the car. It goes like any other car that a person would buy. Basic and then upper class and then the middle affordable one. It depends what you can buy on your budget. But if you are looking for space these cars are probably not the ones you are looking for. Maybe good for two or four people. But if you are looking to have more than four, dont even think about adding another person inside.

I had 2 issues with my 2010 CPO Acura ZDX Advance. The first was the fogging of the headlights within the warranty and the second was a gapping of the front fender liner from the cars body, resulting in a noticeable and unsightly gap. Both matters were first reported to my local dealer who advised that both matters were caused by environmental conditions, and therefore not covered under warranty. An Acura service bulletin acknowledges the fender well issue as being caused by heat, and the fix is replacement of the liner at over $350. I quickly advised Acura that I operate my vehicle IN THE ENVIRONMENT! While I purchased this vehicle used, it was a dealer car that spent its previous life on the lot in sunny California, the very climate it was designed in. After a trip to the dealership and a couple weeks back and forth with Corporate Acura, during which I advised them of each of the of the 5 Honda/Acura vehicles I had owned, they simply refused to offer any assistance, hiding behind their ridiculous environment position. CPO vehicles are sought precisely for the warranty, which has proven to be of less value than the paper on which it was written.I have been a huge Acura/Honda fan over the past 27 years, but I clearly have higher expectations than Acura has in their own products. The ZDX was originally touted as their flagship vehicle, which clearly should be able to stand up to usual weather, at least within the warranty period! To fail in that regard is simply a failure of materials and a failure that is unrelated to the customers use of the product. In the end, the local dealership (from where I did not buy the car) offered to provide the labor for buffing the headlights when I paid for the $30 kit, which I did. Bottom line: CORPORATE ACURA DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED WARRANTY....BUYER BEWARE!

I purchased a 2007 Acura RL brand new. It has been a nightmare. It only has 60000+ miles on it and it looks like it has a 100000 miles. The trim around the windows and inside the doors are peeling and rotting. The material in the inside leather (more like cheap vinyl) is cracked and peeling off. The material covering the center console has already peeled. The dash covering is bubbled up and cracking. The center display goes in and out of view. The wheels squeal. We have replaced brakes that we really did not have to. Having this car was a dream turn into a nightmare. I will never buy another Acura of any type model for as long as I live. Just a heads up to advise one more dissatisfied Acura owner. I have an 02 CL with less than 61K miles on it. I have maintained the engine every 5K miles using only Mobil 1 synthetic and did a complete change out of tranny fluid at 47K using the recommended Honda transmission fluid. The other day I was driving down the 405 fwy in L.A. and the transmission surged (as in threw me forward in the seat) as though the transmission decided to drop into 1st gear and then back up to normal RPM range again. I knew something was really screwed up with the transmission so I maintained a constant speed until I got to my exit 4 miles down the road. When I exited the freeway, the transmission started revving up and down trying to find the correct gear, slipping along the way. Obviously something was wrong and I only hoped the tranny would last long enough to get me home.I contacted Acura Client Relations to see what concessions they might consider relative to repairing a meticulously maintained transmission with only 60K miles on it. I was advised to take it into an Acura dealership to have them diagnose the problem and they would consider the matter after further assessment. $150 later with no technical diagnosis other than a yeah, its screwed up and a $6800 estimate, I called Acura Client Relations back to plead my case. I was advised my Client Relations that the recall extended the warranty mileage to 100K (I think) but the age of the car was outside of their warranty period. I suggested that I could understand their not covering the stitching on a seat or crack in a dashboard but time shouldnt affect the functionality of a maintained transmission. To cut to the chase, Acura would not consider any compensation in this matter given the warranty period. When I asked them why they would direct me to pay a $150 diagnosis fee if they had no intention of picking up any of the associated costs, they said that if the problem was related to the 2nd gear recall they might consider sharing some of the expenses associated with the repair of the transmission but that would have to be determined by the dealership. I was denied even the $150 diagnosis fee they had directed me to incur. My issue is the complete denial of Acura assuming any responsibility for a premium vehicle meticulously maintained with a history of transmission problems. Acura obviously doesnt care about their customers or they would have at the very least offered to pay the $150 diagnostic fee I was directed to incur. The transmissions have had a sordid history of breaking down and you might expect some sort of compensation for a car with so few miles on it. Can anyone advise whether having the transmission rebuilt (outside of Acura with a quoted estimate of $2500) would assure a more reliable transmission... one that might last another 40K to 50K miles, or should I just bite the bullet and sell it for parts? One further question - can anybody refer me to a reputable transmission rebuild shop in the Los Angeles (South bay) area and how much should I expect to pay?

I’ve purchased a used 2005 Acura TL with 69K miles on it. At 96K miles the transmission blew out, it was a $4000 bill to rebuild the transmission. My AC compressor had to be changed. We had leased our Acura MDX through a local Acura dealer. The experience was fair. The showroom tries to portray the brand as a true luxury car, but most salesmen seems fast-paced, with the typical gimmicky talk and cheap suits. The Service was even worse. Anytime the car would require scheduled maintenance, they always tried to upsell us on things like Automatic Transmission fluid change, stating it was very dirty (after only 8,000 miles?), despite the fact that the maintenance schedule doesnt require this fluid change until 20,000-40,000 miles. Filter changes are also their favorite, stating that theyre very dirty and its bad for the vehicle.I never got the impression that the Acura brand is synonymous with luxury, unfortunately. Just a dressed-up Honda, and this trickles down all the way to how they sell and service these vehicles. The car itself has a few, very annoying issues. For one, the front windows are extremely loose, and when opened even slightly, rattle beyond belief. Acura Service techs state this is how theyre designed, and that its normal. It pretty much renders driving around with windows lowered impossible, and from the sound of it, Acura owners have gotten used to it. After almost 3 years, were still struggling with getting used to it.The infotainment is brutally slow. If you click on Settings or any other option, it often takes 2-3 seconds for the screen to refresh and show the desired information. Having rented a BMW X5, or even a Volkswagen Touareg, the computing power of their infotainment systems is much more up-to-date and intuitive. The interface design on the infotainment touchscreen buttons is also very primitive. Like something youd find a first-grade graphic design student do. Certainly not the luxury experience theyre selling.Overall, the exterior is neat, slim, with touches of chrome here and there. The interior is also nicely done. I am surprised as to why the third-row seats do not have A/C vents (like the Honda Pilot, which sells for considerably less does). The power liftgate has failed us more than once, and the remote engine starter oftentimes just stops working, requiring me to manually disconnect the battery to reset everything. Ive given-up taking the car to the dealer for every little nuance. Driving-wise, the car is light and responds well to steering input. Power is adequate, and AWD system performs remarkably well. Despite all of this, we wont be leasing another Acura again. We feel that too many corners have been cut, and not enough attention to detail has been paid to areas that really need it to qualify this vehicle as a luxury one.
