9 Cars That Could Soon Be Scrapped In The US
Posted On: March 18, 2022
Not every bright idea or product captures the imagination of the buying public and many that do fail to sustain a high level of success over several years. Research shows that nearly half of all new businesses fail within the first five years, and even wildly successful products like the BlackBerry smartphone saw a dramatic fall from grace a few years ago. These unpredictable fluctuations in what people desire spill over into the automotive sphere, too. While it's hard to envision a world where the Porsche 911 or Ford F-150 could ever fall out of favor, not every model attains legendary status and automakers must often accept the demise of what were once popular models. Whether the cars on this list are dated, trying to get by in a dwindling market segment, can't meet tightening emissions standards, or simply not good enough in 2022, they're all likely to be given the boot in the not-too-distant future. If any of these cars appeal to your head or heart - and if you live in the United States - the time to buy one is now as they won't stick around for much longer. 1. Infiniti Q60rnDemand for coupes has declined in recent years, and this applies to both ends of the price spectrum. Honda no longer sells a coupe version of the Civic and Mercedes-Benz won't produce a new S-Class Coupe. Seemingly headed in the same direction is the stylish Infiniti Q60 Coupe. According to a report from last year, the Q60 could be killed off in 2023, making the 2022 model year its last. Although not as good to drive as the BMW 4 Series, we'll be sad to see the Q60 go if this is the case. It has a powerful twin-turbo V6, a cushy ride, and a high-end interior. Last year, Infiniti sold 2,728 Q60s, a steady decline from 9,071 units in 2018, 5,043 in 2019, and 2,792 in pandemic-ravaged 2020. 2. Nissan TitanrnAnother product from the Nissan stable that could soon be on the way out is the Titan, and it's not every day that a truck is in danger of being killed off in the United States. The problem for the Titan, quite simply, is trying to earn a slice of the full-size truck segment that is utterly dominated by Detroit's big 3: Ford's F-150, Ram's 1500, and Chevrolet's Silverado. Late last year, a rumor emerged that the Titan would be killed off after the current generation. Although a Nissan spokesperson denied this, we wouldn't be entirely surprised if the rumor turned out to be true. Last year, Nissan sold 27,406 Titans. In the first two months of 2022 alone, Ford has already sold 95,795 F-Series trucks, and the Blue Oval sold 726,004 F-Series trucks throughout 2021. Chevy is leagues ahead, too, having sold nearly 530,000 Silverados last year. Clearly, Nissan is facing an uphill battle in this segment. 3. Kia RiornSubcompact hatchbacks and sedans have vanished from the US market at a rapid rate over the last few years. The Ford Fiesta, Toyota Yaris, and Honda Fit are all gone. This is a great pity since the latest generations of the Fiesta and Fit sold in other markets are excellent small cars. The Rio is another capable subcompact with refined driving dynamics and a well-designed interior that doesn't feel as cheap as the car's $16,250 starting price would suggest. Sadly, a report from August last year indicates that both the Rio sedan and hatchback could be discontinued after the 2022 model year. Although sales of the Rio aren't as high as the 40,000+ units moved in 2014, they aren't terrible either. Last year, the automaker sold 31,362 Rios in the US. Clearly, there's still a market for a car like the Rio and, hopefully, Kia acknowledges this by keeping this solid car around for longer. 4. Chrysler 300rnIt's pretty remarkable that the Chrysler 300 has stuck around for as long as it has. The second-generation model has been around since 2011, and it rides on a platform that's even older than that. But the 300 has survived for a couple of reasons. Its design has aged well, the 363-horsepower Hemi V8 engine will never completely lose its allure, and it's a fair amount of car for the money. But sales of large sedans have plummeted in recent years, and that's partially why the likes of the Chevrolet Impala have been canned. In America, the last Volkswagen Passat just rolled off the production line in another example of a large sedan meeting its fate. Over 50,000 Chrysler 300 sedans were sold in 2017, but the company sold little more than 16,000 units in each of the last two years. For the 2022 model year, Chrysler removed many 300 sedan options, which is hardly a sign that it is investing further in this model. 5. Ford EcoSportrnWhile we don't know exactly when some of the cars on this list will be discontinued, the same can't be said for the Ford EcoSport. Last year, Ford confirmed that the small crossover will be built and exported to America until mid-2022, after which it will no longer be available. The EcoSport was never as successful in the US market as larger Ford SUVs, so few customers will be bothered when it departs later this year. Developed for global markets, the EcoSport was perhaps not sufficiently attuned to the needs of US customers. The engines lack sparkle and rear-seat space is lacking. There are also a plethora of more practical alternatives like the Hyundai Kona and Honda HR-V. Last year, sales of the EcoSport declined by 32.8% in the US. 6. Dodge DurangornWhile waving goodbye to the Kia Rio and Ford EcoSport won't break many hearts, we'd hate to see the Dodge Durango go. In SRT form, it's possibly the most fun you can have on the daily school run. Even the cheapest model comes with a spirited V6 power plant. The Durango's macho looks, high towing capacity, and comfortable ride are further advantages in its favor. Reports from the second half of last year suggested that the Durango would follow the 300 sedan into retirement, but it would be a surprising move considering that Dodge sold 65,935 Durangos last year, a 14% increase compared to 2020. We expect the Durango to stick around until at least the end of 2023 in its current form. 7. Chevrolet Bolt EVrn2021 was a terrible year for the Chevrolet Bolt EV. A major - and costly - recall was issued for the Bolt EV over defective batteries that, in many cases, led to these hatchbacks catching fire. To attend to the issue, Chevrolet halted production of the troublesome hatch temporarily but we wouldn't be surprised if the car gets discontinued altogether. In the last quarter of 2021, a mere 25 units of the Bolt were sold in the US. As recently as February 18th, a further production delay was announced. The EV is now only expected to begin production again on April 4. Besides its tarnished reputation, the Bolt is hardly a new vehicle anymore and doesn't utilize the Ultium battery technology found in newer GM models. With an electric Equinox on the way at a price of around $30,000, the Bolt EV's immediate future looks decidedly bleak. 8. Acura ILXrnThe Acura ILX will depart after the 2022 model year as the upcoming Integra takes over as the new entry point for the Japanese luxury marque. Besides the fact that the ILX had a posh badge and allowed those on a budget to drive off in a small luxury car, it became increasingly difficult to recommend above non-premium models like Honda's own Civic and classier alternatives like the Audi A3. Last year, Acura sold 13,900 units of the ILX in the US, a slight increase over the 13,414 examples sold in 2020. Never entirely able to disguise its Civic roots - it was based on the ninth-generation Civic, after all - the ILX nevertheless introduced many buyers to the Acura brand for the first time. 9. Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat/SRT Super StockrnThis will perhaps be the most painful departure of all. In November last year, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis confirmed that the brand's Hellcat models won't survive beyond 2023. With an electric muscle car in the works, this news isn't a great surprise but it'll still be hard to say goodbye to the iconic supercharged V8 engine that powers the Challenger SRT Hellcat. This engine also does duty in high-performance versions of the Durango and Charger, but it was always most at home in the Challenger. In the Challenger SRT Super Stock, the V8 generates an astonishing 807 hp. There is simply no replacement for the sheer theatrics of this engine in the Challenger coupe, and it's a car that will be sorely missed when the time comes.

I purchased a 2006 G35X in February 2012 with minimum miles on it. In October I noticed that my car would blow white smoke occasionally when I cranked up, and it was using a lot of oil in between oil changes. I took the vehicle to the Infiniti dealership for service and I was told by the service consultant that they had to do an oil consumption test before they could do anything else. She never contacted my warranty company about the oil consumption test, so for 5 months they continued to put oil in my car without trying to determine what the real problem was. What the service consultant failed to tell me was that the car had previously been in for the same problem and that they already knew what the problem was.I dropped my car off on March 19th to finally get the repairs done. For 2 weeks they held my car and did nothing to it. I called that Friday to get an update on what was going on and I instantly started getting the run around. Every time I called to get an update, either she was not in or they had not torn my car down or the adjuster had not come to inspect the car. I contacted my warranty company and they said they had emailed the consultant so I called her back and she said she didnt get the email. After some research the email mysteriously appeared. The warranty company denied my claim because of the pictures that the service consultant emailed to them. She told me one thing was wrong with my car, but told the warranty company something else. In the process of trying to extract thousands of dollars out of my pocket, the Infiniti dealership dismantled my entire car. There was nothing left intact but the body. I have been around cars my entire life, even worked on cars before. I have never seen anyone dismantle a whole car just to say that the valves were gummed up. They then wanted to charge me $2500.00 to put the car back together without fixing it. I contacted the dealership where I bought the vehicle and they stepped in and offered to pay for the repairs as a gesture of goodwill. They asked the Infiniti dealership how much it would cost to fix what was wrong and put the car back together and the service consultant told them that the only thing they (Infiniti) would do was put another motor in the car, even though as a customer I said I only wanted the problem fixed and the car put back together. I had to have my car towed away from the dealership which they charged $1300.00 for. It took two trips for the two truck to get my whole car to another facility for repairs. The attached pictures show in detail the condition of my car when it left the Infiniti dealership. The parts were not boxed up. They were just put on the back of a tow truck and dropped off at another facility.I will never take my vehicle to the Infiniti dealership for service ever again. They are in the business of ripping customers off and then lying about it. They have deceptive business practices at the Infiniti of Memphis dealership.

I have this car for about a month, took it twice to the dealership for the loud wind leaking noise on both front doors (when driving at 70mph or more). They loaned me a similar car which dont have the same issue. They tested twice and confirmed that it makes the loud sound. Tech adjusted the doors to no avail. Second time they said that they called Corporate but there is nothing to do, it a factory defect and I have to live with it. Looking for options, including a lawyer.

They have everything you need with the comfort of a Cadillac! You can choose from a fast lil coupes to a family car. If you need a truck they have a great pickup truck and if you want something for a bigger family but still fun you can get the Escalade hybrid. All these vehicles are made for people just like us with all the qualities of living the high life. The coupes is a 2 Door which you can get with drop top. It has 348hp and 7 speed automatic. The Z62 is a great luxury SUV. 5 doors, 5.6 liter engine, V8 32-valve. Lets not forget the Skyline, fun lil car can come in so many styles. My favorite is the 3.0 liter VR30DDTT twin-turbo V6, 6 speed manual. It may have 4 doors but it is sleek and fun. You can choose 7 speed automatic or 6 speed manual, dont forget convertible and always has comfort. You can go turbo charged or twin-turbo and diesel I4 if you choose. Depending on what you would want you can go from 2 door coupes which seats 2 to 4 people or 4 door for the sedan - 4 or 5 people, and all the way to 5 door SUV - 4 people all the way to 7 people.

My 2009 Infiniti fx35 always have break problem whenever the weather is really cold. I took it to Infiniti several times, pay a lot of money, but the problem still remain. This problem started 3 months after I bought the SUV. Also, lately when I drive, it sounds like something is beating drum under my car but Infiniti cant find what is wrong with it. I am always regretting spending so much money to buy an SUV that Im not comfortable with.

Im in the used car business for over 30 years. We sell on average 60 cars a month. I bought this vehicle 6 months ago for my wife for her birthday. She rides in the same car for 2 years or more as I do too. I noticed online that Infiniti has had a big problem with 2012 Infiniti QX56 white and some consumers are getting Infiniti to fix them. We took hers to the dealer last week. They kept it for 3 days. Then they called and said that there was nothing they could do. the vehicle was 1 owner with no accidents when I purchased it for her. Im sure they refused because its not titled in a individuals name.It would be one thing if I had it on my lot to retail. I have a lot of friends call me and ask whats a good vehicle to buy. Through the years I have taken many vehicles to new car dealers cars that I bought to sell that they did customer satisfaction work on. After this Im done suggesting Infiniti automobiles and I will tell them all how I was treated by them. Also there is a class action suit in the works over this which I will be joining against my good judgment. Lawyers always get the money but I want Infiniti to pay.

I have an Infiniti JX35 2013. In the past 3 years I had to replace both the right and left headlight units at a cost of $1200 each because water leaked into the encasement and caused an electrical shortage. I called Infiniti initially and was told that it was an isolated problem with my own vehicle, but have since read multiple reviews on-line from others with the same issue. Now my R side headlight is fogged up again. I called them today and they were absolutely no help. I was told to take it to a local dealer for an electrical diagnostic starting at $150 cost to me, even though this is the 3rd time to replace the same part, and I have a photograph of the obvious moisture inside of the headlight. They really just dont care. I will never buy a Nissan product again.

2013 Infiniti G37 S Coupe - Drivers leather seat color wore off in one year. Infiniti replaced the back seat cover under warranty. After replacement, on the left rear side there were 34 wrinkles about 1.5 inches long each in less than 18 inches. Infiniti has declined to repair this and states, This meets our quality standard but will not provide me with any documentation as to what criteria they are inspecting to. The seat did not have any wrinkles prior to the dealer replacing the cover. A $50,000 car should not have these defects, especially on a new cover less than 60 days old. Do not buy an Infiniti unless you can secure a written warranty as to what they cover regarding their leather seats. This lack of support and service is something that you should not expect in a luxury sport vehicle. I will never buy an Infiniti again.

I am about to pull out what little hair I have left! We purchased a fully loaded JX35 5/13/2013. Soon after we started to experience transmission problems. The car would shake and jerk between 20-30 mph. We returned the car to Infiniti of Manhattan in 6/1/2013. The service department couldnt provide us with an answer as to when the car would be returned or provide us with an answer as to what is wrong with the car. 6/15/2013 they informed us they would need a new transmission! So we demanded that the get us a new car because this car is obviously defective. The car had less than 300 miles on it at the time of replacement. They told we will not get a replacement contact Infiniti USA. We did and they told us they will do everything to fix the problem. Meanwhile, the transmission had to be ordered from Japan. The car was returned to us 7/16/2013. We made two car payments on a car that we didnt have. Now not even a year later with 7000 miles on the car the transmission fails again! No answer as to when the car will be returned same silence from Infiniti USA. I have tried to break lease, unable to. We have contacted New York State Department of Consumer Affairs awaited their help. Save your money. DONT BUY THIS CAR OR ANY CAR FROM INFINITI!!!!

I purchased my 1st Infiniti almost 2 years ago. I have spent more time in a loaner car than the car I purchased. The motor has to replaced at 37K miles. The head gasket has been replaced twice and my car is currently back in the shop again. The car has left me stranded twice! This is a manufacturer defect! I guess my safety and wellbeing is not a concern for Infiniti or the BBB. Im assuming I would need to get injured or possibly killed in this car (lemon) before Infiniti will acknowledge the obvious defect. Infiniti/Nissan pride themselves on having award-winning Customer Service. I unfortunately would need disagree as this is the first Infiniti I have owned and the Customer Service/concern I have received has been anything but award winning!

We bought Infiniti just last year and went to get yearly service done. I was told over the phone that we will get car back after service in 3 hours and they will provide us courtesy car for that time. We dropped car at 2:30 pm and was expecting to get it by 5:30 pm. When we went there, they didnt give us any courtesy car but offered us shuttle ride to a nearby shopping center. We were ok with that and opted for shuttle. When we came back from the shopping center the car was not ready. We asked them, they said it is just due for washing and will be done soon. We waited half an hr more and by that time it was 5:10 pm. At that time, they told us that they guy who is supposed to wash our car is out to drop someone. They had no idea when the guy will return and wash our car. We had another activity to take care after that and regretfully we had to pick up our car unwashed. They were not punctual with their commitment. If they offer shuttle service to the customers, that should not be at the cost of service. We are very disappointed by this behavior of such a reputable car company.

Decent amount of models but need more in the large sedan category and more
Decent amount of models but need more in the large sedan category and more sport type cars would be nice. The large SUVs look like a remake of the Nissans. Though I know both are owned by the same there needs to be a difference if someone is going to be paying a higher price. The front looks amazing. Just looks like its angry and is ready to go. The on-board navigation and the whole system though is bad. The infotainment system Infiniti needs to be revamped because it is slow and old. The upgrade options are a little pricey but not as bad as other dealers. Some are worth it like going to the premium but the personalization could be better on them. Back seats have decent amount of leg room though me being a tall guy the person behind me can become squished between the seat. Plus when I get out, the auto bring the seat back can make it even worse and I have to manually stop it.

My 2013 Infiniti JX35 has been at the dealer since May 30th. Twice as I was driving, the IBA (Intellect Brake Assist) engaged and stopped my car and pulled my seat belt tight. There were no cars coming toward me both times. If a car was driving too close behind me, they would have hit me with the kids in the car. It was the first car in the nation to do this, so technicians from Bosch and Infiniti have flown out several times to try and fix the problem. It happened to them too while driving it too. They said it was too much metal on the bridge I was on and the system thought it was another car about to hit me. They are now trying to update the software. Do I really want to rely on software to drive my car safely? Infiniti Consumer Affairs are the most rude, discourteous people I have come across. They said I would have an answer in 5-10 days. It took three weeks. They did not return one phone call. I had to beg an agent to put me through to a supervisor because my agent didnt call me back in a week. Ridiculous. Finally, yesterday after calling back again to see if there was an answer, I was declined. I wanted my full money back and to get back into a QX56 (what I owned previously). I called the BBB. Infiniti does not back up their cars.

My 2015 Infiniti Q70 is not what I expected. Sluggish transmission, bad on gas, and my car has a rattling sound. I have 11000 miles on this car. The Q50 is a better car. I took my car back to the dealer for the 4th time and Im still having a railing sale. This should not be happening at 11000 miles.

I purchased an Infiniti December 1, 2018 from Hanania Infiniti in Orange Park, Florida off of Blanding Road. This experience has not been one that I expected from a luxury vehicle company. Since possessing the car on Dec. 1, 2018 I made three bi-weekly payments to my credit union for my trade (a 2017 Acura ILX that was supposed to be paid off as part of the sale). Unfortunately, as previously stated I continued to make four payments via automatic withdrawal from my credit union on the following dates 1/4/19, 12/21/19, 12/7/19. I received a bill from Infiniti with a due date of January 1. Since my prior vehicles loan was not paid off until January 10, 2019 I do not have the funds to pay a January 1 car note because I can not afford to pay on two vehicles. A new payoff should have been requested if the prior was not paid off in a more timely manner. Interest continued to accrue through my bank on the loan which resulted in me only receiving back $414 although I made 3 payments. I am looking for some type of help with Infiniti lease corporation with late fees and possibly pushing my due date back because of this issue. The next payment will be due February 1 in which I am now in a hardship because of the FULL and a half month payment on my previous vehicle. In addition, this overall experience has not been pleasant. I met with John **, finance manager January 5, he told me the check was already received by my bank and he would send me confirmation of it. I never received a confirmation nor did I hear back from him. Similarly, the day after I left with the vehicle I had questions about the insurance document. It was not explained to me other than to sign so I called him and left messages for him numerous times at the dealership. He did not return my calls so I texted the sales rep Alex, who advised me that insurance is my problem not theirs although I had not explained my question or concern. Not only that but the brand new 2019 vehicle was not showroom ready for me to drive off of the lot. The car had and still has scratches and all sorts of marks on it. I asked for a car wash on the Saturday I met with Mr. ** but it was raining and he suggested to bring it back. My concern is there was no urgency, I would have expected for him to try to right the wrongs by scheduling an appointment for me to have my car washed and for sure sending the confirmation or make a follow up call to let me know that the payment was not sent to my bank yet. I was shocked and appalled. It certainly appears as if Infiniti is only concerned about making a sale then after the sale the customer is obsolete. As I stated, previously, I need help to ensure my credit rating does not get impacted, payment due date adjustments and late fees or something to right these wrongs.

I purchased used Infiniti with 27k miles on it, and few days later noticed Vibration at highway speeds and during accelerations. I balanced and rotated tires multiple times with no improvement in vibration. Decided to take it to Infiniti dealership. There are 2 dealerships in the area. Both dealerships refusing to diagnose my car. All they do is balance tires and saying everything is fixed or just keep denying that there is vibration. They simply refuse to take car and diagnose it as it will require taking suspension apart and checking each part individually and can take time do.Since it is not 1 hour diagnosing job they just lie into my face that balancing fixed it or that they can’t feel anything. They will not even take it for normal test drive. My car under bumper to bumper warranty but dealership simply denying me service. I am forced to take car to independent mechanic to diagnose issue and then pay for repair myself. I buy cars every 3 years and will never bring my business to Infiniti again. I paid more money for the car because of warranty still active and just refuse to fix it. Service manager at the Infiniti of Novi is just rude and obnoxious. Infiniti is a scam and not a luxury brand. Stay away.

I am the owner of a 2007 G35. Out of nowhere, my engine blew on the freeway at 60K miles. I have worked on cars my whole life and serviced this vehicle properly. The warranty on it is 6 years 70K and it gave out on the 7th year. They denied my case. I talked with a variety of representatives for a MONTH and got nowhere. I bought an Infiniti with the belief that this was a quality car... What a disappointment. Unbelievable how fixing (or not fixing) an engine for a longtime Nissan/Infiniti customer is more important than keeping my business and the business of every single person I know. Luckily, I regained control when the engine gave out. Imagine if I didnt. Imagine if my wife and daughter were in the car. Despicable. Please contact me before you EVER think about buying a Nissan/Infiniti.

I just bought my 2004 Infiniti G35 with get this, only 4K miles on it. The elder lady who drove it before leased it and never drove it. So I have been super happy with the car. Its sexy, it runs great. It has all the bells and whistles brand new cars have coming out today. So cut to the chase, I walk to my car that is parked in front of my house to hop in and run errands. My neighbor is talking to me but I am in a hurry so I just start up the engine. It revved but didnt turn over. No problem, probably didnt hold it long enough. Nope, keeps revving but no turn over. I am thinking, I have gas in the car whats the problem? Maybe a little air in the line sure give it a little gas and it will start. I am telling the car took a 180 from hell and went from being the easily start right up smooth ride to the rev it up like its a freaking 1960 bug engine and then proceeded to smoke. Yay! So naturally I turn the car off immediately (mind you I just paid my car payment lol) and proceed to figure out how I am going to resolve this issue. I called the dealership and was put on hold for forever then It went to voice mail. Called again and a lady picked up. She seemed nice but ended up being a peon robot worker bee. I told her my situation and she said the next available appoint is August 14th. I said that is in 9 days! Can you make an exception, I have to go to work tomorrow and I would at least need a rental car. No sir, but would you like me to make you the appointment? Yeah, that robotic. So I got the manager on the phone and he gave me a couple farm out mechanics and I got on for the next day at 9 am. It is the night before so I got the tow set up and the rental car situation all worked out. I am going to have them look at everything and I am going to pick my next fuel pump, and have them look at my engine because I can tell me motor mounts are loose and my Transmission likes to jump out of first gear a lot as well. I saw that there was a recall for the fuel pump and called Infiniti affairs. The lady took over 30 minutes to find my car and proceeded to tell me that there is no recall and to talk to the dealer. Then she told me there actually IS an AIRBAG recall. Okay great, so glad I called in otherwise my airbags wouldnt be functioning and they said they didnt tell me because I was not linked to my car. So all of you out there reading this, make sure you called Infiniti affairs 1 (800) 662-6200 and make sure you are attached to your car so you will get the recalls. Most Infinitis have a recall of some sort. I will also get my dashboard looked at as I see there are a lot of complaints about that. I would also note to take your car to get serviced at an actual Infiniti dealer. You cannot trust anyone else. If anyone has any questions comments or any advice that would help me with my 2004 Infiniti G35 feel free to email me at **. Thanks for reading!

We have had so many problems with our 2013 JX35 and are so disappointed in the quality of this car. It started with airbag problems and being told by the service department that it was operating normally. We took pictures and videos of the way it was operating and still we were told it was working as it was designed to. Finally looked up recalls myself and found where a recall had indeed been issued. I called our service advisor and he was totally unaware of this. Sad that a customer has to bring such an important matter to the people we trust with servicing our cars. When Infiniti of Gwinnett obtained the new part, it was installed but we continued to experience the same problem. We took the car in again and they said they had made an adjustment and we should have no more issues with it. Nope, problem was still there. Again we took videos and pictures for them. We were informed that everything had been checked and it was working as it should. Frustrated, we bypassed the dealership and reported it directly to Infiniti. Infiniti did send a company engineer to look at it. When I met him at the dealership, he immediately started lecturing me as to the dangers of airbag deployment, how it was the last resort in a collision, etc. He even showed me a 5-minute video describing the danger. I again stated that I knew the airbag wasnt operating correctly because it would go on and off intermittently. He said it could be from the way we were sitting in the seat. Sounded a little ridiculous to me, as if they were just trying to make a different argument every time they were challenged. I said I would not drive the car unless it was fixed. He did some calibrations and we have had no problems since. Other issues with the car includes leak above drivers door (tube running down from sunroof was not connected at the factory). Rubber on passenger side roof line came out (also done improperly at the factory), entire piece of the side where it was coming out had to be replaced and repainted. Have a continuous rattle coming from around the sunroof. We have had it in the shop no less than five times and is currently there again. We are being told that the magnets between the cross bars and the sunroof are too small and they are going to have to replace them. This last time a representative came and rode with me so they could verify the rattle. It was noted by her and taken to the dealership. They called three days later and said it had been fixed. She was on her way to drop it off when she heard the rattle so she turned around and took it back. Currently, I have not had my car for over a week. Also while they were trying to locate the problem, they found a loose bolt in the console (again something not done properly at the factory). It speaks to the amount of time that my car has been in the shop when they are coming to me to pick up the car for repairs. This last time they brought me the QX60 as a loaner car. I noticed immediately that the transmission is much smoother on it. My JX acts like it is always searching for the right gear the tach revs up and drops quickly and revs again. I talked to them about the significant difference and the mantra was Its operating as it should. They stated maybe the CVT may have been tweaked some on the newer cars. Its very obvious to me that this car is a lemon. Dealer said they could do nothing for us as far as replacement. The General Sales Manager said they could possibly give us the trade in value and sell us a vehicle (if the salesman agreed) at dealer cost. He stated that was as much as they could do so therefore, I am going to file paperwork under the Georgia Lemon Law. Bottom line, I strongly suggest that the Infiniti JX35 not be purchased. It is also worth noting that they have replaced the JX35 (after only one year) with the QX60. Rebranding maybe? Could it be due to problems with the JX35? Just very odd, dont you agree?

Purchased a 2004 FX45 in early 2013. Seeing the dash bubbling and condition, I contacted Infiniti. I was concerned that it may be a chemical reaction and possibly not safe to breathe or would compromise the integrity of the dashboard. After my local dealer told me it was out of warranty, I contacted Consumer Affairs at Infiniti. Boy, they were no help. I do not understand why my vehicle that was serviced at my local Infiniti dealer since it was new - never bothered to fix this issue with the previous owner. I thought Volkswagens customer service was bad - but Infiniti not fixing such a blatant issue with their luxury vehicles is just bad for PR and repeat customers. I was going to purchase a newer Infiniti 70 model, but heck if I give them $60k after this.

I was told at Infiniti of Cool Springs when purchasing my new Infiniti in July 2011, that if I purchased the maintenance plan it would cover all of the advised maintenance on my vehicle up to 75,000 miles. But I recently found out, not much more than a year later, that it only covers 10 oil changes and tire rotations. One year later, I only have 2 left. I was also told at the day of purchase that I needed to have my vehicle serviced every 3,000 miles, so I have tried to do this. Little did I know that I was quickly diminishing my maintenance plan that really does not cover everything that needs to be serviced anyway. I was also told that if I purchased a tire maintenance agreement that it would cover my tires if they needed to be replaced for so many miles. I was told today that this was never added. Beware of maintenance agreements at this dealership, since I would have been better off to pay for all necessary oil changes and tire rotations. This would have been much cheaper. This is very misleading!

Around October 2011, both the driver and passenger seat bottom was replaced due to excess cracks and tears. Now 2 years later having the same problem. Poor quality in the leather/vinyl seating.

I bought a 2004 Infiniti FX 45 in 2007 for $33,000. I began getting terrible bubbles on black dashboard in approximately 2012. When I notified Infiniti, they referred me to consumer complaints. They refused to pay anything and kindly told me it would cost $1300 to replace dashboard. I have never been so offended. I own a 2004 Infiniti G35 with 46K miles on it. The car is not a daily driver and is maintained immaculately. My engine has just suffered a catastrophic failure where a bolt inside the short block backed itself out and caused severe damage to the crank, block itself, sprayers, pistons, etc. The repair is costing me over $6,000 and when I contacted Consumer Affairs, they were not interested in hearing any of my issues and were not ready to stand behind their product. I even mentioned to them that I currently own 2 Infiniti cars, the G35 and a QX4, and that I have even owned a third product in the past. The whole process has left a sour taste in my mouth and a deep hole in my pocketbook. I wasnt expecting Infiniti to cover 100% of the damages, but was hoping to get some compensation.

Good variety of cars and large sport utility vehicles. All cars are very nice inside and the finishes of all vehicles are high-end without being over the top. You can easily see that the quality is very good. I have had no issues with any part of my purchased vehicle and there are many features I use on a daily basis. Also, I was able to upgrade my vehicle to include a few must have items for my family. However, I wish there was a third-row seating option for SUV options. Nissan Infiniti has many features like lane assistant when you get off a lane, and has a nine inch touchscreen with Android auto to control stuff you normally do on your Android phone like Google maps, YouTube, take calls and etc. It is touchscreen so you can fill it with all kinds of widgets from the play store. It takes very little gasoline and is the fastest most reliable car. It also has active wipers in bad weather and self parking assistance. You can personalize the dashboard at the front of the vehicle. The seats covers can be changed into aftermarket ones. And the tires are customizable like always. The user capacity is the same like any other four door sedan. Mostly three or four can fit in the back and a person in the front passenger seat. The driver seat and the passenger seats have more dedicated foot room.

I bought the Q70 for its features but the exterior is nothing special. The car is very average looking and doesnt inspire the same excitement that a Mustang or Corvette would. The car is usually used just for commutes to work so the five person passenger capacity is more than I need. When I have given rides, passengers were comfortable and had space for themselves. There are so many upgrade features! The heated seats, navigation AND weather, and voice recognition are so amazing to have. Ive become so spoiled by the heated steering wheel, especially on these frosty winter mornings! The radar comes in handy, and the rear camera, and makes parking less worrisome. I have to even say the Boss speakers have converted me into a radio listener. Such a great sound. Like that option for AWD available, anti-lock breaking, and Sirius radio available. Love that there is a hybrid version available that gets get great mileage.

Im having an issue with your service department. I have tried since November to have a refund issue take care of and every time I am promised oh its going to be ok this time. However I have dealt with 3 different service advisors all promising the same yet I am still waiting to see any results. I was overcharged for a service that my pre paid maintenance covered. When I brought it up to the first advisor she basically said it wasnt her job to look it up but I can bring the paperwork in if I can prove it. When I finally got in with the paperwork guess what she no longer worked there. Astonishing. I was then sent to another advisor who promised me he would send this up. Didnt hear anything from him so in may I came into your dealership to find out whats going on and guess what he doesnt work there now either. Now on to my third interaction again let me make some copies and sent this up. Which leads me to today my call to find out whats going on to only be told by your associate there is nothing I can do over the phone let me send it up. I explained at this point that is unacceptable. I need assurances. The service advisor continued to talk over me and showed no empathy to how ridiculous this process has been for me and even decided to tell me there is nothing that he can do for me and hang up on me. I really hope those calls are recorded because this is not how you should treat your customer. Thoroughly disgusted. I bought a G37 IPL edition not because I like to have an 700 to 800 payment. Having worked on and been a part of numerous Infiniti car company dealerships over the last 15 yrs, and now finally owning one of their products, its come to my attention that their brand quality is largely compromised. My situation is as follows. Having a late model Infiniti that was bought used, I concluded nothing is perfect and things would need to be fixed. However, I have never owned a vehicle with a melting dashboard. Having fixed numerous dashboards over the years for Infiniti on the FX models in 2009 to 2011, it had occurred to me that there are many other models with the same problem all the way up until 2012. The dash will crack and ultimately degrade to the point where it is unable to be cleaned/touched or even looked it through the window due to high amounts of glare it produces when driving (melting area becomes very shiny) understood the vehicle is out of warranty, but Infiniti has no remedy or cause for concern to fix these problem cars dashboards. I know there are plenty out there too. No wonder Lexus is the company to be.

I am a third time Infiniti buyer and third time was not the charm. My car has been in the shop 5 times in the first 14 months of ownership for brake noise. Noise which is loud enough to be heard inside the house when I enter or exit the driveway. Excuse after excuse from the dealer with no real resolution. First, it was a pin, then a hose and now a spring. I have to fight to get them to reproduce every single time. Ive been told they squeak when theyre cold then they squeak when theyre hot and finally its not a safe issue. When I opened a case with customer service, what a joke. I called 4 times now, twice spoke to the rep and twice left messages. Not a single thing done as a result of my case being opened. The quality of the interior is awful. Leather seats cracking after just a year, silver trim nicks with the slightest pressure. Every silver panel on my car has dents and scratches - looks terrible. The dealer replaced one of them as goodwill and a day later, there were already two nicks on it. The new panel is worse than the old one. I am very frustrated, I wish I had never bought this car. Buyers, beware.

I didn’t want for it to come to this l, but I feel like others should be warned. In Aug 2016 I leased a 2016 Q50 from Infiniti on Camelback. I love my car and planned to purchase it after the lease, up until these last couple months. In the beginning of October 2018, it started running hot and overheating, on October 24th took it into Infiniti of Scottsdale for an inspection and they gave me the all clear saying they couldn’t replicate the issue and nothing was wrong with my car after having it for 2 days. The service tech told me if it continues to call them back and bring it up.On my way home from the dealership, my car was running hot but not overheating and when I looked in the coolant reservoir, it was pretty much empty after just being filled at the dealership. I called and the service tech said to email him the photos which I did and never received a call back (it was the weekend). I continued to drive my car just adding 1/4 quart coolant, if not more, a day until the “low oil pressure, stop vehicle” light came about 8 days later (800 miles). I then had my car towed to Infiniti on Camelback where I purchased the car and had them look at it for the same issue. I was told that there was sludge in my engine and I had “lack of maintenance.”Before even being asked to provide all my receipt of oil changes, they noted on my car that there was lack of maintenance. They changed the oil at Infiniti on Camelback, still couldnt replicate the losing coolant and overheating issue and once again sent me on my way and told me to continue driving the car. Fast forward to Thanksgiving Day (4 days after getting my car back), we are driving to our families in Surprise Arizona from Chandler Arizona and about 45 minutes into the drive, I try accelerating and it doesn’t do anything. I pull into the suicide lane as I couldn’t do anything else and once the car finally hit about 20 mph the motor seized and started knocking. As it being Thanksgiving, Infiniti on Camelback is closed, we called the Infiniti towing line so they could tow the car in and we would have someone just come get us so we could still enjoy Thanksgiving. We were only quoted 90 minutes for the tow, but sat on the I10 for almost 4 and a half hour. I called Camelback the next day and spoke to the service manager. They refused to give me a loaner, and said that I would need to purchase a battery for $250 and $759 to break my car apart, before they could start the diagnostic on my car. That is ridiculously high for a battery for 1 and why am I being charged labour for something that should be under warranty?I purchase a battery from Infiniti of Peoria for $150 and self installed it. They still refused to do any diagnostic unless I paid them the $750 to break my car down. As my car in the last month had been given the all clear, and now they were saying I never did oil changes and it was my fault the motor and turbos blew. The service manager was VERY rude to me and just kept repeating “your lack of maintenance,” refusing to listen to anything else I had to say or look at any of my maintenance reports.I didn’t feel comfortable moving forward with them so I transferred my car to Infiniti of Coulter AFTER speaking with a service technician who said he “doesn’t see why warranty wouldn’t approve it because it been checked 2 times in the last month and I have all my oil records. It sound like the coolant is mixing with the oil.” He told me at first if warranty didn’t approve it, but he didn’t see why they would. It would be $350 to pay, easy, told him to go ahead. I still mind you have not had a loaner vehicle. They did the inspection and to my understand they had all my service records and submitted the claim, the claim came back asking for my photo of the top of my engine which brought the charge up to $1400. I asked him what he thought was going to happen and he said he wasn’t sure but he still didn’t feel like it would be denied. After thinking about it, I really didn’t have any other choice and said go ahead.About a week passed and I heard nothing, I called asking if I would be able to get a loaner and he said yeah I should have something Thursday [on Monday]. I said okay and we left it at that. On Thursday I called to see when the loaner would be ready and he said my claim came back denied so I wouldn’t be able to get a loaner and the price on a used engine and turbo would be $14,000 or he could find a new motor but it would be about $14000 plus my $1,400 I already owe them. I’ve called consumer affairs numerous time and escalated it due to the fact they denied it “due to the sludge being in the engine it an automatic denial for lack of maintenance of the vehicle.” Well come to find out the claim was submitted with 2 service records. Of course they would deny it! I asked the service tech to attach the records so they can reevaluate and was told “no amount of service records can change their decision.”Well come back to this week after waiting since the 23rd or December for a call back from a regional supervisor in consumer affairs, I get the call telling me there will be no other communication and that I am not only responsible for a new motor but continue to pay the lease [done on Nov 1 2019] and any damaged that will be due after turning the lease in. So after paying almost $40,000 for the car, I now will have to pay an additional $20,000 for a motor and $470 a month till November. Not only that, I’ve made 3 payment on a car that’s been sitting at Infiniti with no loaner provided, lost out on not only Thanksgiving but Christmas and New Years with my family because I had no transportation to get there. Not only that but I’ve been having to rely on rides to work or paying for Lyfts. I’ve never in my life had such a bad experience with a company. I’ve personally purchased 2 vehicles from Infiniti and in the last 3 years my dad has purchase almost 6. I was a very loyal Infiniti customer but now I will never be back to any Infiniti or Nissan dealership. I’ve spoked with 3 master techs, without even telling them what’s happened to the car just showed them the videos and photos, ever since one of them have said, “there is a leak in my head gasket and coolant is mixed with my oil.” Sludge take thousands of miles to build in an engine, not only was it taken 800 miles prior and given the all clear AT AN INFINITI DEALERSHIP but the oil was changed 3,000 miles prior, and we still have the oil from that change. Not only did this happen to my car but is now happening to multiple other Infiniti’s and has (to my knowledge in Arizona only) happened to at least 6 others who have had their motor replaced already, through warranty or paying for it themselves. Mind you, I also paid for the 3 years or 45000 miles maintenance package for $499 that Infiniti on Camelback never attached to my lease.

Purchased a 2020 QX50 and its already been towed twice because it simply would not start. In both cases the car was in a safe place however, I was without a vehicle. Infiniti services scheduled the tows. The first tow took over a day to pick up the car. The second time the tow took over 2 days to be picked up. The AutoStart had be replaced....in a 2020 vehicle. I classify Infiniti as a luxury vehicle and with that expect a reliable vehicle and attention to the customer experience. I give Infiniti a ZERO on both ratings.

I have been looking to buy a new luxury sedan and was considering a Infiniti Q70 Hybrid, only because the MPG of the non-hybrid for Infiniti is terrible. I actually like the Q70L because of the legroom in the rear, but the Hybrid was not available in it. However, any dealer Ive visited says that they have never seen the Q70 Hybrid and doubt that it is available. When I go to Infiniti website and do a Build and Price, I can build it, yet the quote goes to my local dealers (not so local... 2 hour drive) and they tell me not available. I try to contact Infiniti Consumer Affairs to find out whats going on and they put me back to sales of the dealers Ive already talked to... that know just as little as I do. I guess that is my hint... That it is probably a mistake to be looking at this vehicle in the first place. I get quick and satisfactory replies back from other manufacturers where I have contacted for other issues or questions.

In September of 2012, I leased an Infiniti JX35 at the 3817 West Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14623 location. Unfortunately, I am very unsatisfied with the car. The navigation in the car has never worked consistently. Sometimes it works. It seems when the weather changes, it stops working. It is very fickle and unreliable. I have brought my car in for service SIX times to fix the navigation system. In addition to the GPS not working correctly, the air bag light keeps flashing on for no reason..

Bought a Certified Pre-owned Infiniti Qx56 - great vehicle! Also purchased an extended warranty which has 115,939 miles printed as the expiration. A short while after the purchase the driver seat started to wiggle in certain positions thus we asked the dealer to check it out. Was advised that the seat was not broken. We would have to pay for them to check it now or wait till it actually broke and then see if the item which failed was covered under the warranty! The foam cover on the head sets started to peel off and we wanted to buy new covers. Was told that they could not be sold separately thus we had to purchase new head sets. Pointed out that same was covered under the warranty but was advised that since it was the foam covers which gave out and the head sets was still working they were not covered under the warranty. The rubber cover on the stepping rail started to peel off - again we understood same to be covered but were told that it was only the actual running board which was covered and we had to pay for the rubber cover ourselves. Now the exhaust manifold just cracked but this time Infiniti actually confirmed that same is covered under the warranty! Unfortunately, however, they now claim the warranty expired at 100,000 miles and since we have 102,000 miles on the vehicle we have to pay ourselves.Pointed out we had the Elite plan and that it stated the coverage ran till 115,939 miles but they advised that what we had was only an application and that it was a mistake; it read 115939 thus they really could not assist us in this matter. The dealership (not Infiniti) has offered to fix this time provided we also sign a waiver which prevents us from claiming further items under the warranty, which we find a bit much from a so called luxury brand.Aside of the Infiniti, we own a Nissan (same company as far as Im concerned) - have been happy with both vehicles but their customer service leave a LOT to be desired and I would never recommend anybody to spend money on their warranty plans nor expect anything to be covered under same. Needless to mention that we will never own either of said brands again - a shame as they actually do have a nice lineup of vehicles.

My 2003 G35 Infiniti started randomly shutting down while driving and control of power steering and brakes would be nonexistent. Slip light and VDC off light, along with service engine soon light, would turn on (also oil/battery/etc). Its very dangerous. Im lucky I wasnt killed!! When I called customer complaints, they told me my particular vehicle was not under recall even though many other 2003-2005 G35s see the same problem and some have already been recalled. Infiniti is putting my life, and the life of other customers at risk by ignoring this.

While some car companies offer several options across a few class of vehicles, Infiniti had a fairly wide selection that ranged from coupe to SUV. I went in knowing what I wanted, but I was a repeat customer for an SUV. The G37 coupe I purchased had a great design, both outside and inside. Considering its size, I was very satisfied with the room inside. Im a larger person, but it was more than enough for me. I would highly recommend this dealer and model. It was one that I plan to go back to later on. There werent as many upgrade options as some of the luxury car companies, but it had just enough of the necessary options. They had everything I was looking for in that particular class of vehicle.

I’ve never had an issue with this car before - not should I have. It’s got under 100k miles on it. The other day it starts misfiring. I take it to my local mechanic. He sees it needs spark plugs and a fuel injector. Replacing those. Car is still misfiring so the mechanic shop offers to take it to the dealership for diagnosis, on them. INFINITI calls me today and says the motor is bad. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! That’s $10k job that’s not covered under warranty. I owe $13k on this car. What a piece of ** car. I bought a 2013 G37x and have not enjoy it... I feel I made a bad deal and Im paying the price for it but even worse, Infiniti cant help...of course. Ive leased with Honda, Nissan and said to myself two years ago, let me try a luxury line...so I chose Inifiniti. The car is great but the deal was not (2 years with 10 miles/yr at 429.00 monthly payments). Im glad it was two years because I want to get out of it fast since I cant enjoy it because Ive run into the mileage limitation. Now for the good part... I didnt know that theres a disposition fee after the lease expires; a way for dealers to keep you locked on their cars. Im more frustrated than ever...but a lesson to learn from: know your deals and dont get into something fast. Do your research. Yeah, people gonna say I made a bad deal and now hes complaining... The worst is when a dealer cant help you. Infiniti turns their back after they have your money...so no more Inifiniti for me. If money is all they see and care rather than customer satisfaction, then why should I continue with Infiniti? SO to sum it up, I have not driven my car for the last 3 months and will remain this way until December because of the mileage limitation...so dont get caught up on with a low mileage deal.

There are sports, sedans, SUV models and I believe trucks. Perfect for a single person or a big family. This luxury brand is very reliable and lasts a long time! I have a G35x and it comfortably holds 4 passengers and myself. We always use my car for road trips because it is very spacious. I imagine the SUV would be even better! The appearance is very sleek and expensive looking. I love my LED lights and the way they move with my car when it turns. I also like the inside clock feature which is very eloquent! You can choose an upgraded package that allows you to have Bluetooth features and GPS right on your navigation screen.

Infiniti is great and comfortable. It has a very sleek, modern, appealing design with compact, great tires. It has a durable build with the front well designed for movement and maneuvering around adequately. The different brands have different passenger capacity. Mainly 5 passenger capacity is the most common. The SUV have more capacity up to 8 while the coupe cars have 2 passenger capacity. There are definitely a lot of upgrade and personalization options with this car type. Were able to get technology upgrades like navigation, seat warmers, Apple and android CarPlay plus more.

Infiniti FX35 2006 the worst car I have ever owned - Within the first 80 mph, we drove after leaving the Infiniti of Chantilly, VA dealership. We began experiencing electrical issues with all of the instrument gauges that was not working, the cruise control kicked off and we had no brake or tail lights. Of course by this time the dealership was closed. A week later I was heading to meetings in Charlottesville,VA where they arranged to bring me a car and haul my dream car to Richmond for service. Another week later, they delivered the car back to me in WV. A couple months later, the rear back up camera and cruise control began not working again. Then to Charlotte, NC Infiniti, we have to arrange over night stays since nothing ever gets fixed in one day. WV does not have an Infiniti dealership. It is smart on their part as the extended warranty I bought has been the only saving grace. We have had to get a new windshield for the front as it just split one day, but of course that was not caused by the vehicle even though the bolts in the fender wells keep breaking loose and have been recalled for a flexing problem. The laser has been replaced, that controls the driving distance between cars for the cruise control, as it would stop you in the middle of the interstate driving 70 mph. The front lane change sensor has been replaced as it beeped constantly even in the middle of a black top road with no stripes. The whole dash bubbled and it was replaced. Both airbags have gone out twice now and sensors are replaced. Yet again, it was just fixed a month ago and I have no functioning air bags again. The back glass with defroster has been replaced because the defroster quit working. A while ago, new navigation system and new back up camera have been installed and is flickering again on the screen and changing from yellow lettering to blue and the camera just goes black when put into reverse! The drivers seat is so broken down now and it is uncomfortable to even sit in. The seat heater gets so hot as it almost burns through your cloths!Infiniti has been contacted with the representative Holly, that we were assigned. The consumer affairs in VA where we purchased the car with 9800 miles certified per-owned, and also consumer affairs in WV. The only offer we have received is that Infiniti will give us a lifetime warranty! I guess Infiniti really thinks that its okay that their product is a total joke and we can afford to spend $500 every time we take off from work and drive a minimum of 3 hours and pay out gas to try and get it repaired, which of course has never been repaired correctly or I wouldnt be so frustrated! What a joke. Why is Consumer Affairs blowing off issues like this? We filed a complaint prior to the two-year statue of limitations, but nothing has been done. Holly with Infiniti had closed out our case. We had it reopened and once again we will call you within three days. It has been over 4 weeks and they are not even returning our calls! At this point, I just want to give them back their lemon as I am a tired of working 60 hours a week, and I dont even know if my car will start up whenever I leave my office. And on top of that, I pay over a $750 car payment a month. What is that for? A Nissan product that is such a total piece of crap. Shame on you Infiniti/Nissan. Its no wonder why there are like 15 of these brand new which are still sitting on the lot at Infiniti of Charlotte. Good luck giving them away. I am very angry about poor customer service, as a consumer. And the lack of concern from Infiniti is making such terrible products.

The worst car I ever owned. I bought it brand new. It has less than 25,000 miles on it 2 years later. I have gotten stuck on the road 4 or 5 times with electrical problems (not just the battery). I also got stuck with a flat tire and found out for the first time that this $45,000 lemon did not come with a spare tire. Roadside assistance is a joke. 20 minutes worth of robot menus, another hold for a real person who asks the same questions, and then between 45 minutes to an hour before anyone actually shows and tows the car to the dealer. How do you get home? Your problem. The service department dealer, Manhasset Infiniti, manages to find a $600-$1,000 non-warranty item every time the car is brought in for routine service or a warrantied repair. Everyone is very nice and gives the appearance of being accommodating. But the bottom line is that they are handling you, not your problem.

The 2017 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid we bought is fairly affordable for luxury cars and it is fuel-economic. It is luxurious and has an impeccable safety record. It has a modern and sleek appearance, smooth curved edges, not boxy or bulky. The shape makes for fast and breezy driving. You will have an enjoyable, four-wheel drive. Standard features include: in touch displays, a glowing start button, and LED headlights for more advance and updated models. You can go on the Infiniti site to build your own vehicle. You can upgrade and your entertainment system can be updated. You can personalize your own color and technology like 4g wireless, et al. It is very easy to do. A sedan of a later model can have three rows of three passengers each very comfortably. You can upgrade seating for no additional costs.

I have purchased 2 Infiniti Qx56 SUVs brand new. My current 2012 has been in the shop over 10x with the same problem. The dealership explains the problem to me and how this is unique. Each time the cause is something different when they document it and check you out. Now the truck is out of warranty and it will be my responsibility if it happens again. Trust me when I say, It will happen again. Being stranded and having to be without my own vehicle for days. One time it was in the shop for 21 days, they claimed they were waiting for a part from overseas. I did contact Infiniti corporate office and they refused to do anything. I had bizarre electrical problems with my first Infiniti QX56 as well. I had it in the shop multiple times and no one could ever figure that unique problem out either. I purchased my second one because it was the new body style and it was very spacious. The sales team was very sligh about and claiming it was all revamped and no issues reported. They do have a good looking vehicle but I will never never again buy an Infiniti. For the price ($80,000) you would expect more. I leased an Infiniti 37G in 2014. My lease expired in September of this year, I visited the dealership where I had leased the car the first week of August and inquired about buying a new Infiniti AWD. I contacted the dealer several times trying to get cost and payment terms. I received two quotes, both with very different figures and payment terms. I contacted the dealer a final time the third week of September and told the salesman I had to have the information within the next two days in order to process everything before the lease expired. When I did not hear from him, I purchased another vehicle from a different dealer.I then called to make arrangements to return the leased Infiniti and was told the only person who did that was out with an infected arm. I was told he would be given a message to call me when he returned. I still have not heard from him and it is now the middle of October. I returned the car to a different dealership. Now after two months I have been unable to get Infiniti to release interest in my Personalized tags and have had to buy new tags for the car I purchased. Based on my experience, I would never recommend leasing or buying from Infiniti.

We have lived at the same address with the same telephone number and email address that we provided Infiniti when we first took our car in for service in 2009. We purchased the 2005 from CarMax in Richmond, VA in 2009 and there were no dashboard issues. We were never notified of an extended warranty because of this material defect. When I googled the problem in 2014, I contacted Infiniti customer service and they said the extended warranty had expired 1 year earlier and there was nothing they could do. We open and read all of our mail each and every day before discarding and we never received an extended warranty. We contacted Jeb **, service manager, at Infiniti in Richmond, VA. He said there was nothing he could do. He also stated that he personally found that Infiniti was more willing to work with car owners to repair the dashboard even if it was passed the 8 year extended warranty if they were customer who took their vehicles to Infiniti for repairs (I guess because Infiniti makes money on these folks and are more willing to honor fixing this known defect on a high end expensive vehicle). We are just sick. We were told by YOU (ConsumerAffairs) that because we were calling 1 year later that you refuse to cover the cost of this dashboard which is well over $3000. I was appalled! We have babied and taken wonderful care of our car. It looks like it is 2 years old when it is, in fact, 11 years old. We were planning to purchase another Infiniti but will not if we know you dont honor your loyal customers. What can you do for us? I am writing you for the second time a year later because we have to drive in this car to work each day only to look at a disgusting dashboard that keeps getting worse. Wont you please help us! We dont take our cars for repairs to the local Infiniti dealer because we take it for all of its scheduled maintenance to the local Nissan dealer which is closer to our home. Arent you the same company? Why dont you honor this dashboard replacement when you know it is a known defect and nothing we have done to the car? (We even keep a shade screen up each and every day in our front window). Please do the right thing and replace our dashboard. We only have 80,000 miles on our car and are planning to keep it a long time. Please help!

The timing chain went on my car nearly $5000 worth of work and parts to fix. My very helpful garage (Lia Infiniti) said to call Infiniti consumer affairs to ask for their help, as it is a known problem, with this specific recall notice (I knew nothing until car went wrong) with the QX56 model and my car was still fairly new with very low mileage. My car happened to not have a recall on its Vin number but the fault still happened. Because of this and out of its warranty when I bought it they wiped their hands of it. Pretty disgusted with Infiniti consumer affairs as this is a well known problem and even had recalls on this issue. I would never buy another Infiniti purely because of this. The Lia Infiniti garage I used had excellent customer care and tried everything to get it down in price.

Im surprised not to read of more consumer dissatisfaction with Infiniti and their Dealers over the End Of Life of the JX35 and the replacement with an identical vehicle named QX60. I purchased a top of the range new JX35 in early July 2013. Of course , I knew it was a 2013 Model but I was shocked to find out that 3 weeks later (on July 19th) Infiniti replaced the JX35 with the QX60 under model year 2014 , in July 2013! Of course the dealer did not tell me anything about that forthcoming change. In fact they denied that a Hybrid was being released imminently when I specifically asked them about that (I subsequently learned that was announced in a press release in March 2013). I am now on a mission to get out of my JX35. I can only believe that the actions of Infiniti and the surprising behaviors of their authorized dealer will otherwise cost me significantly in 2 or 3 years time when I try and feel or trade in this now obsolete JX35 on a 2013 model purchased in July 2013 when the new QX60 (exact same vehicle, Im sure they changed the badges off vehicles on the sales lot!) was launched 2-3 weeks later as a 2014 model. I mean, if you were shopping for a pre-owned Infiniti, what would you buy?

Infiniti has a great selection of models, from passenger cars to sports cars to SUVs. Passenger capacity is excellent. I can fit a modest amount of people in my SUV. I can also fit numerous items in my roof rack, which is very spacious. I never owned an Infiniti before, but now Im hooked. These vehicles are equipped with all the latest technology, and I couldnt see myself driving anything else. It definitely has the futuristic look that people are looking for. You can pay a bit more to fully equip your vehicle, or you can stay with the base package, which is still loaded with features and extras you cant find on other vehicles.

2010 Infiniti G37x - The transmission was destroyed by the transmission radiator when it allowed coolant to flow into the transmission, flushing transmission fluid. (1) Sudden thump suggested an unseen road hazard. (2) After 2 hrs garaged and 2 miles: trans would slam into gear, surge forward 3 secs after full stop; shifting began clunking; trans would slip into N and engine rev; finally at ~30 miles engine light lit, and only 1st gear worked. I have an Infiniti G25 and the steering lock unit failed. I took the car to Infiniti Lynnwood and Brian told me it would cost $2,263.53 to fix it. I did some checking and I saw that this part was recalled on some Nissan cars and that Infiniti refused to recall it even though they are the same just that Infiniti is the Luxury side of it. The scam is that the dealership is the only ones that can fix the problem so they charge outrageous prices so I am trying to put together a class action lawsuit against Infiniti. To that end I paid some $160 for an upgrade that took over four hours to load. The system is useless. In the three weeks I have owned it I have had several instances where after putting in an address it says. Sorry no data available. My Garmin Nuvi and Google maps found all of those in a very short time. Infiniti needs to fire whoever does that mapping program and use Garmin or Google. Very disappointing in an expensive vehicle.

I have returned her call and left messages three times on October 23, 2015 and no response. Come on Infiniti. I need help desperately! It appears that Lauren called to introduce herself by phone to enable her to say a call has been made, but she is not really trying to connect with me. At least thats the way it appears. I have a serious issue and I am not hard to get a hold of. It is unacceptable that Ive got to go an entire weekend without having spoken to anyone and my vehicle remains in an immovable state. My car is black with automatic windows. The Bluetooth is nice for playing music. The color is shiny and sleek, and I really enjoy how my color looks. It also fit five people which is standard for a car. That is all the room I really need since I am a single person, but I would not recommend for large families. There werent that many personalization options for my car which is okay because I do not need a lot of the expensive but cool upgrades.

Temperature control unit - A/C turns itself on at highest speed and becomes stuck. I can feel the effect/pull that this has on the engine. Also, audio unit screen goes blank while playing and cannot be adjusted or shutoff until engine is turned off. Both units, inoperable. Problem sometimes ceases and sometimes persists with engine re-start. [Im also concerned with the safety hazard of the drain of power (on battery/alternator) if both units are involuntarily running full power, if not able to pull over and shut off car. The car has now stalled once while at a traffic light, following the onset of this problem.]I took the vehicle to my mechanic and was informed of a voluntary recall and presented with the paperwork. Campaign ID#: P3104 - Voluntary Service Campaign Audio Finisher Circuit Board. Applied Vehicle: 2003 G35 Sedan (V35). Dealer Responsibility. After numerous times being told (via phone call) that there was no recall, I informed the dealer (Warranty Manager) that I was looking at (and citing from) the voluntary recall paperwork. After spending much time on hold, the Warranty Manager confirmed the recall. I was ultimately informed that my vehicle did not fall within the VIN #s for the first 23,600 vehicles built. Therefore, my vehicle did not qualify for repair under the recall. I was told that there was nothing I could do under the parameters of this recall. I asked for a quote for the repair. Estimated: $700 parts and labor. When I asked if there was anything else I could do, I was suggested to file a complaint with Consumer Affairs. So here I am.

I usually never leave reviews but have been compelled by the terrible service by Infiniti and awful product that I hope to save just one person from what we have had to deal with. We bought our QX60 and shortly after started having problems (shuttering, ceiling fabric coming off, constant rattling from the moon roof and door, plastic in the back was faded and the splashguards painted kept peeling along with other issues). Infinitis basic response from numerous visits to the dealership to fix was basically its your problem to deal with and now that I look at their reviews that seems to be the companys motto. If you want a quality car and service DO NOT buy an Infiniti. I wish I hadnt.

So basically, the dealer wont do anything to fix squeaky problem. At this point, my only option is to upgrade factory brake pads to ceramic pads and I am not even sure this will fix the problem. Dealer felt it was defective but Infinity would not cover the replacement. Steering wheel auto-adjust motor failed and needed to be replaced (costly). Radio has failed. The list can go on and on. The Infiniti Q70 and Q70L are a line of mid-size luxury (executive) cars from Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance luxury division Infiniti. Its essentially an update to the Infiniti M series with minor cosmetic changes. This car is very good usable for me. I like the design of this car very much. It is flexible and very elegance. Price of this car was in my budget as well. This car is good at handling and nice throaty v-8. It has sensual exterior too. Getting in and getting out is very easy. Car has class and convenient instrumentation. Great Bluetooth and nav. Very comfortable and great styling too. It looks like one of a kind and its very reliable car. However, its hybrid lacks finesse and gas mileage could be better. The 2017 Infiniti Q70 is a viable alternative to American and German cars of the same ilk, but lacks their personalities.

We purchased a used 2015 QX80 with 65,000 miles on it. We did love the car
We purchased a used 2015 QX80 with 65,000 miles on it. We did love the car and was an amazing ride till this week. We had some issues and it was running very rough and the engine light came on. So we had it towed to a local shop and he said the codes it was pulling it was something internal (P0011 & P0021) and we needed to have it looked at from a dealer. So the Local Nissan diagnosed it as stretched timing chains. They said it was right about $4000 to fix it. So this car just has 105,000 miles on it and we paid nearly $38,000 for it. So I have a car that I paid nearly $40,000 dollars for it, I have only put 40 thousand miles on it and I have to put $4,000 into it to get it running. I called the Infiniti Consumer affairs and got nothing but sorry. I explained that I have a stay at home mom with 5 kids and we are on a very tight budget, etc. She then said that I would have to have it towed to Infiniti instead of Nissan???? Same company? They said they cannot have Nissan look at it and this was done by one of their master mechanics. So this means tow it a third time with and pay another diagnose fee for what? Infiniti should step up to the plate here. I asked the girl I spoke with to give me a supervisor and she said there were none. She was reading from a script as you could tell just to get you off the phone. I then asked her how she would feel if you purchased a car for 40,000 dollars and only got 40K out of it and now have to put 4 thousand dollars into it. She said she could not reflect on that? This is what customer service departments have come to? No emotions or anything. Just firmly I cant reflect? I said, (ask your CEO or director how they would feel if their mom of 5 was going through this). Again nothing. After doing research, this is a problem that Infiniti knows about but is doing nothing. Just look around on some blogs and you will find them. As well there are issues with the catalytic converters at $1,300 a piece for both sides. I was just wanting them to do whats right and stand by the product. I am a sales manager that travels the US and trust me that I will share this story with every individual I come in contact with. In my business I tell my people to treat people right and they will come back every time... Treat people like you want to be treated and you just built a successful business. I cannot believe this company and its products. We will never purchase another Infiniti or Nissan and I will make sure my kids remember what we are going through when they make their decisions for a car. I will share this story at every sales meeting, and while visiting clients for sure!!!

I just bought a new Infiniti 2015 Q50. The car is advertised to give me 19 mpg in city, 29 mpg highway and a combined 22mpg city-highway. This vehicle gives me a highway mpg of 12mpg. I drove the car for 1.5 hr just to test it and it did not improve. I took the car to the dealer I originally bought from and they say that the EPA reviews and that they are not responsible for that review. I believe that is unreal for a car to provide less than half mpg than what it suppose to. I called Infiniti and they said the same thing and only provided me with few tips on how to improve it.Also my front passenger seat makes a weird sound (something loose) when I head a pothole. The dealer said that all Q50 makes the same sound and there is nothing they can do in that case. Its a manufacturer problem. I have been with the car for just a month and I am not happy. I live in the San Bernardino Valley where the temperatures reach an excess of 106F. For that reason, I have limited my life, and refrained from having passengers in my car because clearly I care for the life of others more than INFINITI does. Typically we buy Lexus or Audi but decided to go Infiniti this time bought a 2020 QX50. We’ve had this BRAND NEW CAR in the shop 8 times in 14 months each time being assured it’s fixed then it’s back in. Ok things happen so we gave Infiniti the option to just buy us out of the vehicle and we try something else but NO. They feel there’s nothing wrong with a new vehicle requiring this many trips to be repaired. SERIOUSLY? Speaks volumes about the company’s integrity in my opinion. My husband was going to buy me an Infiniti too (we got married April 1st) but after all the headaches of this vehicle I’m going 100% back to Lexus where they value their customers not only during the sell but throughout the entire time. I cannot support a company that cannot accept fault (accidents happen to ALL companies no big deal). It’s completely how the company handles it and this was hands down THE WORSE and they have now lost a life long customer and one that can and will use her voice to tell people what to expect when using Infiniti.

With my multiple visits in an Infiniti service department, I have not felt as disappointed and appalled with the customer service that I received as I did at Cerritos Infiniti. Instead of helping me understand what is going on with my car and empathize how concerning how my car performed last night while I was driving with my 2 yr. old and both my parents, I felt confronted and castigated and offended. I brought my car in for an oil and filter change and a multi-point inspection last Dec. 28 and as I was driving my car yesterday, the car jerked multiple times as I accelerate.I bring my car to Infiniti for service because of the level of trust that I have with them. But the attitude that Tony ** showed was very unprofessional and demeaning. I work in a hospitality industry and train employees how to treat a customer to provide excellent service and I do know how a TERRIBLE customer service feels like. I would hope Tony would show a bit more compassion and concern than show arrogance and be spite to their customers. I had to bring my husband to his office for him to understand what my concerns are with Infiniti service but apparently he still didnt seem to understand that we are just looking for a simple, outstanding customer service and experience.I am afraid that with this persons show of character and lack of customer empathy, I had changed my mind from trusting Infiniti service and vehicles and would rather go to another higher end, top notch customer rating car makers. I have gone to other Infiniti locations and everyone I dealt with were extremely friendly and very compassionate with their customers. My husband ended up pulling our car out of their service department and brought it someplace else that would really take care of our concern and get a better treatment.

Key could not be recognized after several remote batteries were replaced, OnStar button needed to be replaced. Kept calling the service automatically. Electric window button stopped working with window down. Door panel needed to be replaced. Need I say more?
