8 Automotive Nameplates Youve Probably Forgotten About

It's nice to see automakers take chances. Take Lexus, for example. The first-generation RX launched for the 1998 model year was based on the then-current Camry platform, and was, effectively, the first modern crossover. It was also an instant hit. And then there was the Lexus HS 250 which was, well, we'll get to that shortly. There were many past makes and models that are best left to the dustbin of American automotive history. Others never received the attention and praise they deserved before getting the ax. We decided it was time to take a look back at recent nameplates you probably forgot even existed. A few of these came from brands that no longer exist or are sold in the US. Will any of them become collectibles? Perhaps, but we wouldn't hold our breath. 1. GMC Envoy XUVrnThe GMC Envoy midsize SUV first appeared back in 1998 and lasted for two generations before being dropped after the 2009 model year. From 2004 to 2005, GMC sold an Envoy variant called the XUV. It featured a retractable roof inspired by the 2001 GMC Terracross concept and a midgate similar to the Chevy Avalanche. GMC wanted to combine the best of the truck and SUV worlds into a single package. And it kind of worked. The midgate's plastic-lined cargo bed could be divided to create a waterproof section that had a clever drainage system for easy and fast cleaning. The configurable interior could handle a significant amount of cargo thanks to the retractable rear window and roof panel. The two-way tailgate's retractable glass also helps make loading and unloading easier. The Envoy XUV was certainly an interesting experiment but it didn't catch on anywhere near that of the Avalanche. GMC ultimately dropped the Envoy XUV before the 2005 model year ended. 2. Ford Freestyle/Taurus XrnFord somewhat lost its way about a dozen years ago following a few bad decisions. One was dropping the Taurus nameplate equity in favor of the 500. That soon failed and the Taurus was soon revived. tThe 500 sedan also spawned a wagon body style originally called the Freestyle starting in 2005. Available with AWD, the Freestyle was intended to be a Subaru Crosstrek rival and, on paper, it seemed possible. Only it wasn't. By this time, consumers were already favoring crossovers but Ford persevered, renaming the Freestyle the Taurus X for its final two model years, 2008 and 2009. Returning to a familiar name and other exterior and interior updates as part of the mid-life refresh failed to work. It's kind of a shame because the Freestyle/Taurus X concept was smart, it just wasn't well executed. The original engine option was a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated V6 with only 203 horsepower. Ford replaced this with a 3.5 V6 with 263 hp when the Taurus X appeared. This lack of sales success made these models Ford's final station wagons. 3. Lexus HS 250hrnThis one definitely falls under the "What were they thinking!?" category. The Lexus HS 250h was first presented to America in 2008 as a 2010 model. No one was impressed. The thinking behind it was for Lexus to further capitalize on America's increasing interest in fuel-saving hybrids. If the Prius was a best-seller, why couldn't a more expensive Lexus be?rnLexus, in typical fashion, jacked up the price by several thousand dollars and tried to lure green-conscious buyers with features like an interior with bioplastic build materials. Lexus claimed 85 percent of this hybrid sedan was recyclable. But, the HS 250h, at its core, was really nothing more than a Corolla powered by the same 2.4-liter inline-four paired to a hybrid system. Total output was only 147 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque. Sales never took off and quickly became one of the brand's worst-selling models. The model was ultimately dropped in the US after only three model years in 2012. 4. Volkswagen EosrnVolkswagen has a long history of building convertibles in Europe. Early generations of the VW Golf were available topless, for example. Prior to that, there was the Beetle convertible. So it made sense for the German automaker to continue this tradition with the Eos. Sharing a platform with the fifth-generation Golf hatchback, the Eos debuted in the US at the 2006 LA Auto Show and went on sale shortly thereafter. What made the Eos unique was its five-piece folding hardtop roof that had a sunroof built-in when raised. The downside to the folding hardtop was that trunk space was seriously compromised when lowered. Sales were initially fairly solid but declined nearly every model year thereafter. A 2010 model year facelift brought updated exterior styling, specifically the front and rear fascias, and headlights and taillights. Realizing there was no use bothering to design a successor, the Eos was replaced following the 2015 model year with the cabrio version of the overseas-only T-Roc subcompact crossover. America's Eos successor never arrived, nor will it anytime soon. 5. Buick RendezvousrnEven golfing legend Tiger Woods couldn't help sell the Buick Rendezvous. In the final few years when GM was run by a bunch of beancounters who had nearly zero passion for cars, both Buick and now-defunct Pontiac launched two oddball models at around the same time, the Rendezvous and Aztek, respectively. The latter has become the subject of endless mockery and drug kingpin Walter White couldn't make it cool. As for the Rendezvous, Woods was hired to star in a TV commercial pushing the car to Americans as a sort of a cross between a wagon and an SUV crossover. It just looked… strange. Billed as a midsize crossover, it rode on the same platform underpinning GM's minivans at the time, such as the Chevy Uplander. To its credit, the Rendezvous did offer AWD and a third-row seat. This versatility wasn't good enough to overcome the quirky exterior styling. Its six-year model run came to an end in 2007. 6. Mercury CougarrnNo, this isn't the Mercury Cougar from the golden era of muscle cars in the late 1960s. This is the front-wheel-drive eighth-generation "sporty" coupe that debuted for the 1999 model year. By this point, Mercury had begun to show signs of trouble due to the inevitable failure of badge engineering. The suits at Ford knew something had to be done so they took advantage of the company's relationship with Mazda at the time. Ford had just dropped branded coupes like the Thunderbird and Probe, thus leaving an opening for struggling Mercury. The reborn Cougar rode on a global FWD platform derived from Mazda's GE architecture. The Cougar essentially replaced what would've been the third-gen Probe and was the first Mercury sold in years that didn't have a rebadged Ford counterpart. The idea was to attract younger buyers into Mercury-Lincoln dealerships and, at first, the Cougar found some popularity. It looked pretty good thanks to traces of Ford's "New Edge" design language and came powered by either a 2.0-liter straight-four or a 2.5-liter V6. Neither made the Cougar a true sports car, but hey, at least Mercury tried to do something interesting. The Cougar was dropped following the 2002 model year. 7. Chrysler AspenrnDon't feel too bad if you've never heard of the Chrysler Aspen, which debuted in 2007. It was gone by the end of 2009. The Aspen was nothing more than a rebadged and pricier second-generation Dodge Durango. What made the Aspen unique (really the only thing that did so) was that it was Chrysler's first true truck-based SUV. Only one trim option was offered: Limited. Two engine options included the standard 4.7-liter Magnum V8 with a mere 235 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque and the optional 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with a more respectable 335 hp and 370 lb-ft. Not even a hybrid option was appealing. Thanks to the combination of a second-row bench seat and a third row, the Aspen could accommodate up to eight passengers. What else to say? Nothing. Durango customers refused to buy into the Aspen's supposed upscale existence; a new front grille convinced no one. 8. Mitsubishi RaiderrnThere was a time when Mitsubishi built truly capable off-road SUVs like the old Montero and Montero Sport. Sadly, the Japanese automaker failed to evolve over the years but it's done a better job lately with new models like the latest generation Outlander. But back in the mid-2000s, Mitsubishi found itself lacking a pickup truck in its US lineup so it turned to its old partner Dodge for help. The result was the 2006 to 2009 Mitsubishi Raider. It was nothing more than a final generation Dodge Dakota with a new face. And like the Dakota, it had optional V8 power, something that was highly appealing to some midsize truck buyers. By its final model year, only the base V6 was available. Not unexpectedly, the Raider never caught on as a majority of customers preferred the Dakota because of its familiar nameplate. Mitsubishi dealers reportedly had to request for Raider production to be reduced because of too many unsold units on their lots.

While Toyotas are excellent vehicles, my family has always been pretty loyal to the General Motors line of vehicles. This is the second Buick I have had, and if this one is as good as the first I had, Ill be driving it for a long time. Its a good looking car, and is extremely comfortable to ride in as a driver or passenger. The Lucerne has interior features that are what I use a lot, other than Bluetooth. I could do without that. The interior is leather, with wood accents. It also has the standard AM/FM radio with a CD player. Moreover I really enjoy the air conditioning, as I had no air conditioning in my 84 Camaro, other than windows and t-tops wide open. The body lines are nicely curved, and give a bit of a different flair to it than most others have. Overall, it drives beautifully, its really comfortable.

The car has enough space and enough room. The passenger side is very comfortable, easy access to get in and out. No trouble with leg room and very relaxing. It rides smoothly and offers phone space and phone cord. The appearance is pretty, in a pretty beige color, and looks as if it was brand new and in good condition. No distinctive scratches or marks on the car. The color is shiny, and the inside has a very nice, good looking interior. The upgrades are nice since my stepfather did some of his own work and contributed to the car to see if anything needs to be done or worked on, which is a good thing.

2011 Buick Regal Turbo - I love, love my car! However, 2 weeks after purchase it was in the dealership with noise issues. My timing belt was replaced at 34k miles! Then my front and rear bumpers were peeling. Those got repainted, took 2 weeks at the dealership. Silver trim around both outside windows were oxidizing! Replaced. Then the headliner started sagging in the middle of sunroof. Couldnt fix, so headliner was replaced. Im not complaining since this was all covered under warranty, Im just tired if dealing with it! I want to enjoy my car. Now there is a chirping noise when my a/c is on and I put it in reverse and accelerate. Dealership doesnt know. They thought it was the alternator, and replaced it! Very frustrated but still love my car.

My 2005 Buick Rainier is an older car, but has not given us any problems. It has been very reliable and the only things we have had to do are just considered regular maintenance. I like the leather seats and the wood details such as the steering wheel. I love the amount of space in the back as well as the dual climate control. The only features I would add are a sun/moon roof and maybe a DVD player for the back for long trips. Other than that, I just love the entire look of the car and it is also a very smooth ride.

I bought a 2006 Buick LaCrosse several years ago. Two weeks after purchase, the check engine light came on. It would take at least two pages here to list ALL the problems Ive had with this car EVER SINCE!!! I have now spent over $5,000 on repairs, and as I write this, it is powering down, and the reservoir coolant keeps leaking... somewhere not visible!!! I dont have any more money to bring it to a Mechanic AGAIN!!! The last time I brought the car in for repairs was at Auto Select at 2128 Main St., Green Bay, WI. 54302 (phone: 920-465-3790.) I had to take out yet ANOTHER loan to pay them!!! ($1,600) If A & B Auto or GM doesnt make this right, I feel personally obligated to let every one of my Family and friends know how they do not stand behind vehicles!!

Buick has SUVs and pretty large cars. The newer ones are really lovely. Mine is a 2003 and its given me no trouble. I love the color of my Century- hunter green. I also like the design. Mine isnt very fancy but its comfortable. The seats make it feel like Im driving around a comfy couch. :) I like the leather interior too. Its big enough for me and my big dog and the trunk has space for everything! Its very roomy and theres a lot of space for everyone to move around. Leg room galore! I love it and would definitely buy another one.

Im retired and the 2012 Buick Verano is the first Buick I have ever purchased. Now, I know why. If you enjoy the loud sounds of clunking and thumping from a vehicle that apparently does not have any type of suspension, then the Verano is for you. If not, stay away!

I have owned many buicks that is why I am upset that at 39901 miles I had a steering ck leak. Bergstrom buick replaced the steering gear and alignment. The cost--parts-734.16 and labor 997.50 a total for some reason of 1731.66. I was also advised by bergstrom that this repair is only warranted for 1 year. I also noted that steering problems have considerable for this model.

2012 LaCrosse - Heating/Cooling issues on the driver side... i.e. air conditioning on in the car, heat blasting out of driver side. Touch screen no longer works. Clear coat has failed in several spots. I have detailed cars for 25 plus years and I keep my cars paint protected better than most and I have 6 locations on the bumper where the clear coat has peeled off, and now a new 2 inch piece of clear coat missing on the driver side front fender.

2017 Buick Enclave - 2nd Enclave we have owned. Has dangerous problems with blind spots. Almost 0 visibility on both sides. We had to add spot mirrors on side mirrors. The worst problem is with the Navigation system that Buick is aware of, but is not making any effort to correct. Nav sys will tell you to make a U-turn where there is no place to make a U-turn within 10 miles in the middle of the freeway. Used Nav Sys to get to an appointment, set it for our home address on the way home, told us to take a freeway going south instead of East--would have been in the middle of downtown Los Angeles had we followed the directions. We have contacted Buick - about 3 weeks ago and requested that they buy the automobile back from us and let us get on with our lives. However, we have heard nothing from either GM or the dealer we bought the car from. WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER GM CAR AS LONG AS I LIVE! Will encourage everyone I know not to buy GM. It is unconscionable that they refuse to even talk with us!!! Dealers service person advised us that the Nav Sys is a problem with this model and there is no indication as to when or if they will have it resolved.

I love my Buick. It has all luxury feature and bells and whistles. I love my back up camera. The color and spaces is amazing, too. Plus having the automatic start in it is even better, especially in the winter months, as well as heated seats. Plus the second row bucket seats too. However, I wish it came with a DVD player and sunroom. Still, I would highly recommend the Buick Enclave to other people. My experience was a great one. Its a nice luxury spacious SUV.

Stalling and not starting of 97 buick lesabre - I have watched the recalls
Stalling and not starting of 97 buick lesabre - I have watched the recalls and saw that they go back as far as my year but not the model. My one owner 97 was purchased from a Buick dealership 3 yrs ago with only approx.117,000 miles. I figured was going to last until I quit driving as Im 66. In the first 5 miles I drove, the check engine light came on. My sister who got the car for me was adamant it was fine when she drove home and dew places trying it out. She had to have them replace the battery before she got it. We took to a garage where the gas cap was replaced and the man said that was probably all it was. Light went off till filled up next day to return back to me home...right back on, was running fine so ignored it, drove 225 miles home. About 2 months later after having auto parts house check codes went off. Stayed about 1 month. The next time came on, different code showed up. Had towed in to shop after wouldnt start and they kept 2 days, said couldnt find anything wrong. Week later stranded me a second time ..so after waiting about 20 min it started up. Got home...son looked, checked all wires etc...said didnt see a problem. I drove back 225 miles. Back in July, got there - had to have water pump replaced and the air quit working on. Hi fan only works on med. Now for 3 yrs I have had nothing but problems. Replaced starter because after having to bump start to try get going, it went out. Wires plugs all small stud trying to fix, nothing has worked. The car cut completely off while going down highway at 55, 6 months after got it. Now happens about once every few weeks, nothing works at all. Cant steer and so afraid someone will hit me trying to get off road. This car is only transportation I have and on fixed income. Cant afford another one, still owe my sister about 1000 dollars on it. She pd $3500.00 at Buick dealership in Statesville N.C for it. She just recently had to replace thermostat and needs serpentine belt which I have but not on yet. The other thing is the not starting when you drive. Make a stop or 2 then wont crank....have to wait at least 12 - 15 min. Sometimes you get lucky and it started. Most of time you have a cycle 1st try 12 min....2nd, wait 15 - 20 more min, then wait full 20 min again. Usually 3rd time after waiting up to as much as an hour she cranks...but has had to be let sit in yard at home for several hours before will start. This is serious and needs to be addressed, this car is dangerous and needs to be on the switch problem recall. Im at my wits end with nothing to fix it with. Yes it was a used car but supposedly according to your dealership was a heck of a car. Nothing but worry and problems, since Ive had it Im stuck. Please help me before I become one of your GM statistics.

There were so much variety to pick from it took me a little to go through. Love the selection of vehicles. The appearance is just awesome and very sporty looking. There are so many upgrade features and you have so many options to personal features. Love every feature offering. The passenger capacity is very spacious with lots of leg room, plenty of armrest, and no feeling cooped up in a vehicle to where it is uncomfortable. Its comfortable all around. Its just an awesome company all around and Id recommend to anyone.

Buick have lots of different models to choose from, from SUVs to smaller cars and all are quality vehicles. Ive bought Buick my entire adult life. The car has a very sleek look. Ive even had some people argue with me about it being a Buick. They truly stand out among other cars and I couldnt be happier with the way it looks. The power windows and Bluetooth capability is a huge bonus. As a businessman who is on the way home a lot it allows me to continue discussing things while Im on the road. It seats 5 people comfortably. I recently took a road trip for work with some coworkers and we all traveled comfortably in the car.

I have owned a Buick for over ten years and it has yet to let me down. This is a used car with a few problems from wear and tear. Has always been a well-performing vehicle that has the security and comfort I need with my disabilities. I can get in and out easily, which is a big factor in my choice. Furthermore, It has the durability that I want. It is definitely built to last. The Buick LeSabre is the perfect vehicle for me.

I purchased a 2011 Buick Lacrosse in 2012, brand new in 2013. It began having electrical issues and as of this date has gone through 5 batteries. There have been numerous issues with computer sensors, air conditioning and overheating engine power. This vehicle has left my wife stranded on 2 occasions and on others it had to be towed to the dealership for repairs. I made Buick corp office aware of this ongoing issues back in 2013 and as of this date they advise that there is nothing they can do. Prior to the warranty expiring it experienced 1 cylinder failure and now after said warranty its experienced another cylinder failure. It only has 40k miles. This s the worst vehicle Ive ever owned. I will never purchase another GM product again. They do not stand behind their products. Buyer beware.

The Buick Skylark is like a sedan and sports car blend. Buick has been in business for many decades. I myself prefer the classic Buicks however the new styles are just as elegant. Buicks are conservatory priced and easily outclass more expensive car manufacturers. Buicks are classic sedans. The Skylark is a 2 door hard body sedan and is fast as a rocket on 4 wheels. For the passenger’s capacity, there are six seatbelts but you better hope everyone is very, very thin otherwise the driver will not have any elbow space to turn the steering wheel without breaking the ribs of whoever is unlucky enough to be riding in the front center seat. I would definitely recommend Buick to my children and grandchildren.

However, the back windshield wiper does not lift up to get the glass totally clean and this really bothers me a lot. They need to figure a way to fix this issue. But other than that, the Buick Encore was the most comfortable car I test drove. It also easily seats five people comfortably. It handles well in all types of weather and is good on gas.

I bought my 2002 Buick Rendezvous in 2006. It had 43,000 miles on it. Not bad for a four-year-old car, or so I thought. The guy who sold it to me said it was their second car and did not use it much. I later think that he did not use it because it is not worth it! Within a month of purchasing the car, the drivers side window went out. I had that replaced, no biggie, I understand there are costs with cars. Then a year later, the air conditioner went out. I live in California and with temps over 100 degrees in the summer, my small children and I need air. The repair was just under $1,000. That repair lasted a year and a half. The air went out again. However, shortly after the air went out, so did the engine! To have the heads replaced, it was $3,500. I contacted Buick directly at that time and got the Oh, well, sorry you are having problems, but thats not our problem response. In paying for the engine work, I could not afford the work on the air again. So, I have been without air and just try to drive as little as possible when it gets hot outside.I get my regular oil changes and took it in for that last week and was told I have an oil leak now. There goes another $500 dollars. Well, that is what they quoted me. I need a few weeks to come up with the extra cash. But once they get under the hood, we will see how much more they find. If I could stop paying for repairs long enough to save a little money, I would definitely be using it for a down payment on a non GM vehicle! But GM has made it practically impossible. I have since read about recalls that Buick has had over the years on this car. However, I have never been contacted over a single one of them! The car is now 10 years old and only has 112,000 miles on it. The reason, because it spends more time broken than it does running. Highly unhappy with Buick, I will never buy one again and will make sure my children do not either!

Lesabre, lacrosse, enclave mine has a V8 which makes it very cheap on gas. Mines a 1995. If you can afford to get a newer one thatd be my advice, so maybe you wont have the trouble that Ive experienced. Their motors are usually good but their transmissions arent that great. Matter of fact I have to shift mine manually & it can be aggravating & also very dangerous, a good way to get hit in the rear. So if you can buy a newer one. Mines old, been left sitting out in the weather & the clear coat is very wore, the paint is faded & its maroon with a red door, due to someone other than me having a accident. Its all electric, power seats & power windows. My advise would be to get the manual windows not power because 2 of mine are stuck up, but at least their up. When it runs its good, it just tears up a whole lot & its got plastic parts that cant take the heat, so theres another problem. Its roomy with plenty of passenger capacity & plenty of leg room, not like some of the smaller cars. You can actually stretch your legs out.

I received a letter from Buick saying that the timing chain on my 2011 Regal could break causing engine damage (Really?). They said I should not take it to the dealership and they would not do anything about it until it broke, so they extended the warranty on the engine. If I am on the interstate doing 70 mph and the chain breaks, the engine stops and I lose steering. That is a really comforting thought. I could get killed or even worse. How long have they been making timing chains? Do they not test components any more? Buick is supposed to be a quality vehicle. What has happened to GM? When I contacted Buick, they were very sympathetic and said they were sorry and hoped nothing happened. Me too.

One of my first cars was a Buick so buying another I was confident with the brand. The style and comfort was above expectation. The engine and handling was on point. My only complaint was the blindspot. But the outside style was sleek, sporty and looked of luxury and classic lines with just enough of toughness. The wheels looked and were an upgrade to your standard style too. The heated leather interior was on point but is hot in the summer and my pupper slide around on the seats. Wow the legroom in the back seat was amazing. Im short so of course it worked for me but my 63 husband fit comfortably as well. Plenty of leg & head room.

I purchased a 2018 Regal TourX in August of 2018. On December 8th while parked the car was hit from behind. My hatch was damaged. That week the dealership requested parts. We received a call from the dealership stating that A new hatch was not available and there was no known date for delivery of the part. They asked if I wanted to have them bump out the dents and do a body and paint repair. I said no, it was a brand new car. I wanted the new part. I didn’t want to deal with corrosion down the road. The first of January the dealership called and suggested we escalate our problem to Buick Customer Service. We did. It took 2 weeks to speak to someone at customer service. She stated she would called me back within 3 business days. She didn’t. After 5 days I started calling her. I could not reach her. I left several messages over the next week and finally heard from a ‘Senior Care representative. She took the details again and said she would call me back in two days. She did not. After 3 I started calling her and leaving messages. I finally spoke with her after a few days and told her that I wanted to talk with someone higher up the chain than her. She said I could not speak with that person directly but she could. She said she would speak to him and then follow up with me within two business days. She did not. I called her and left messages. I finally spoke to her yesterday and she had this follow up information for me: the Manager she spoke with said I had been offered a repair at the dealership that was adequate and I chose not to take it. Because of that and the fact that this is not a warranty issue it’s not a high priority for Buick and they would not release a part from production for the repair. The part is on backorder indefinitely. We’ve owned 7 Buicks in the course of our marriage as well as 5 Pontiacs and a few Chevys. We build vehicles for the emergency rescue vehicle market. I can not imagine delivering a message like that to any customer. Buick, I am so disappointed in you.

My car needed some serious work, and has for several months. There is an issue with the GM model of engine in my Buick that was brought to my attention about a year ago, that resulted a class action suit against GM. It was described to me as a slow deterioration of something within the engine (I am not a mechanic and do not claim to be. However, I am in a technical field). I have been saving up the money to get the (1000 dollars plus) repair done. About 3 months ago, my car started overheating. I was told that it would take about $1000 to $1500 to fix. But they said that they could not tell me exactly without taking the engine apart, which would cost several hundred dollars. They showed me how to put coolant directly into the radiator to avoid damaging the engine, until I could afford to get it fixed. I did it daily. The car kept running until eventually it overheated enough to cause several leaks, so I took it to them to fix. Originally, I was told it would be $1000 to $1500 to fix. They tentatively gave me a ballpark figure. I would not hold them to an estimate when they had not looked at the engine. And that is not what this complaint is about.By the time they called me the first time with an actual quote, it was around $2000 (I did not get it in writing). I asked them how much it would cost to fix the fan while they were in there (fan only worked on high, and was a preexisting issue). They told me it would add a couple hundred. I asked them to do that while they were in the engine. Once they called me back, they had found a bunch of other stuff that was wrong with my engine they had not quoted me for, and that it was now going to cost over 3000 dollars. When I told them to stop working on it, they informed me that they had already done 700 plus dollars worth of work. So, if they stopped, I would still have to pay that and my car would still not work. I could not afford this. But they assured me that the good news is that it passed the block test and the head gasket was fine. It had been tested several times. Since that was okay, my car would work for years after this repair.Having already been out of work for days without my car, I arranged to borrow money from my mother to cover the repairs, so I could get back to work. When I spoke with the mechanic to authorize the repairs, they listed a long list of everything that is needed to be done. It was a very long list. When they were done, I told them, I understand it needs quite a bit of work, but my only concern is the end result. I then asked them, If my car is only worth 4000 dollars, and I put 3020 dollars into it, when it is done, will it no longer overheat, will it be drivable, and will the heater work? The mechanic I spoke to (KJ **) said yes and continued to sell me on the repairs and what a good idea it was to do. I then asked the exact same question, just to be sure (I was planning for the worst) and got the same yes answer. The car was in the shop for a few days. The turn around was quite quick for the huge list of things that needed to be done (according to them). I called to check on it daily. I was never warned about any other problems. They told me on Saturday when I called that it was done, although I never received a call. And it was the end of the day when I tried calling. Im not even sure if they were open on a Saturday. And they told me that I had to come get it immediately. Well, it started out as him being pushy and encouraging me to come get it right then. But he eventually turned in to being flat out. He told me I had to pick it up because they did not have room on the lot for it.Regardless of if it was a rush job, a mistake on their part, or flat out fraud, I was sold an end result I did not get. When my girlfriend went to pick up the car to go to work (her work is approximately 1.5 miles from the auto mechanics shop), she was told that it was all fixed (just as I was on the phone). But she was told to keep an eye on it just in case and if it overheats to bring it back. She did not make it to work before it started overheating, not a mile and a half. Our house is only about a half mile away from her work (basically in between the two). So luckily, she was able to make it home after work. She told me it had gotten over half way to the red overheating in that short of a distance. So, the first thing I did the next day was to take it for a test drive (starting out fresh while it was still cold). It overheated off the charts within 10 blocks, red-line overheating. I immediately called the mechanic while letting the car cool down. It was the same guy who had sold me on the repairs (KJ **) and also the same guy that rushed it out the door. When I told him it was overheating, he sounded like he was trying to sound surprised. He was not sincere at all, very forced. He said, Oh really, thats weird. Then, he told me to let it cool down, take it back, and they would take care of it, and that they must have missed something. He said, You know, sometime things get overlooked. Being in a technical trade, I told him I understood (which I did, things happen). I asked him specifically: I have no money left. I just gave you guys 3000 dollars. I do not have. This will not cost me anything correct? He said yes. Once again, I repeated myself and made him repeat the same affirmative answer. I always cover my bases when there is a large amount of money on the line. The car was with them for several days, and I did not hear a word. They did not call me once. I kept calling. All KJ ** would tell me was that they were running a block test to see if it passed. He told me it passed one day, then it failed the next, and back and forth on 4 separate occasions. He said: It failed hot, so were going to let it cool down over night and test it again in the morning. It failed cold so were letting it run. Its been running for hours so it must be fixed (which is obviously a flat out lie, since it could not make it 10 blocks). It passed hot, and so on, going back and forth. He gave me no real answers and becoming less and less honest. This is the test they guaranteed me my car had passed initially before all of these repairs. And this was the whole reason it would be worth it to put $3020 into my 2000 Buick that is only worth $4000 or so.After four or five days total, KJ ** put me on hold for the first time. Then, someone named Nick (who refused to give me his last name when I called) got on the phone. He started listing off the things that needed to be repaired. I said, Thats great, but this is obviously not going to cost me anything extra right? He told me that since it failed the block test, it needed x done (head gasket I believe, along with some other things). And he told me that since that was not what they did initially, it would not be under warranty. Then, he started listing off things that were $400 to $500 a piece, which is where I cut him off. My response was (expletive deleted): Are you ** kidding me? You sell me on a 3000 dollar repair, guarantee me that the thing that is now broken is not broken and that’s the good news. You guarantee me an end result of a working car. But as soon as it drives off the lot, it cannot drive a mile. In addition to that, it broke in your possession due to being rushed or bad repair work, misdiagnosed, or whatever. Now you want more money?!I was obviously quite upset. He kept telling me the same not our problem type responses (that is not an actual quote, however everything else in this report is almost word for word). I told him I was going to call my lawyer. And I told them that I expect them to provide the service they charged me 3000 dollars for, and that was a working car. I told him I would call him back the next day. I immediately looked up everything I would need should they not honor the service they charged me for: this website (the BBB), the State Attorney General, King 5 news Scam Watch series, etc. I also found around 50 reviews online from other unhappy customers that claimed they had done the same thing to them (overcharged etc). Most of them were oil changes that ended up being hundreds. But a few of them were 2000 to 3000 dollar charges that were in the same or similar situations I was, except most of them at least had a working car to show for it!When I called the next day, the uncooperative Nick picked up the phone. I told him he had a day to think about the situation, and asked him if he had decided to do right by his customer. He continued the same not our problem responses. At that point is when I informed him I had legal counsel and that I would be filing with the BBB, State Attorney General, the credit card company, and have them featured on the news. I also told him that I would be taking him to court if they refused to provide the service that they had charged me for. He said, Lets go to court. One thing I find interesting is that when I was referring to my and KJ **s earlier conversation, he said yea that was me when I was quoting KJ **. He told me that I had talked to him. I never talked to him until they decided to try to get more money out of me. I pay very close attention to that type of thing in these situations. There are only 3 different employees I have ever spoken with there (Nick, Ken and KJ). KJ ** was new to me with this repair job. They dont even sound the same on the phone. KJ ** has a pretty noticeable accent, so this immediately jumped out at me as a complete lie. He was obviously trying to add credibility to his argument. Because if it was him I had been talking to, then he could argue about what had been said, and attempt to twist the end result. So, I am now filing this with you along with every other place I mentioned above. Thank you for your help. I just wanted my car fixed for the $3020 (less would have been better, but I was willing to pay it to have my car back and working). And I gave them countless opportunities to finish the job for the agreed upon price, all of which they refused. So now I am asking for my money back. I have been unable to work 2 weeks now due to being lied to, defrauded, sold a scam, and ripped off. I am an on-site computer technician and have to be able to get to a job site within 30 minutes, which is almost impossible in Seattle on public transit. Thank you for your assistance.

So I sold it at a big loss and found a 2012 Lacrosse Touring with low miles because my wife insisted on buying an American car. Guess what people, same problem. Bad engine and transmission. My engine sounds like its ready to quit any minute and my transmission revs up to 1500 RPMs to shift gears. Its my experience and opinion that the Buick company officers should be held accountable for blatant fraud.

My 2010 LaCrosse check engine light came on; it was covered by warranty. The service repair person said that I have to pay $390.00 to replace the O2 sensor. I asked, “Why do I have to pay? Isnt the sensor covered?” He said no, because it’s the wires corrosion and then he said rodents/rats ate the wires. I didnt know that service repair specializes in rodents. Which lie is it? I dont trust car dealer mechanics. I dont recommend LaCrosses and their phony warranties. A rat ate my wires - yeah right! I’m not satisfied! I called everybody in the corporate branches - no one helped me! I also like to mention that if you’re a tall or big person, dont buy LaCrosse as youll hit your head and knees. Looks are deceiving. Dont buy cars in Woodbridge, New Jersey on Rt. 1&9. Poor repair service.

This complaint is not about customer service at any Buick dealer, but a complaint against the design and production engineers who designed a 2008 Buick Lucerne that requires the fender well to be removed at a labor cost of $250.00 to replace a low beam bulb that costs less than $20.00. How stupid can GM get and what a ripoff to a long-time Buick owner? If I have to pay $250.00, I will never buy a GM product again.

I purchased a 2011 Buick Regal CXL literally 73 days ago. It only had 56,000 miles and came with power train warranty. After acceleration issues on the highway I have been informed that I should also have a manufacturers warranty on the vehicle. It spent about a week in the service department at the dealership. I purchased it at for a cosmetic piece, they agreed to fix when I purchased it. During that time they were supposed to inspect my current problem which was that the check engine light came on while on the highway and I could not fully accelerate. Their conclusion was that they could find nothing wrong. So about 24 hours later on my trip back on the highway, the check engine light went back on again. Not only could I not fully accelerate, I could not get the vehicle to go into gear at all. The gear shift would blink when I put it into drive but would not go. I had to get towed to the dealership which I had to pay $100.00 for. And now after getting my vehicle back yesterday afternoon (after two weeks) and being told it was a system update that needed to be done and all was well, I found myself once again on the highway with a check engine light and not able to fully accelerate. I was able to coast home obviously under the speed limit but I have called the dealership where I bought the vehicle and tried two different 800 numbers that I have and cannot find anyone jumping out of their seats to try and fix my car. Needless to say I am displeased and concerned. I just want my vehicle running correctly and safely and want to feel good about this purchase. And I would love some assistance in making this happen!!!

Frustrated and disappointed owner of a 2010 Buick Enclave CXL with 86,000.0
Frustrated and disappointed owner of a 2010 Buick Enclave CXL with 86,000.00 miles. I cannot begin to describe how awful my experience with Buick and this Enclave has been. Ive owned this vehicle for 3 years bought it used at 30,000 miles with full maintenance records including tune ups and oil changes. Since Ive had the vehicle I have experienced the following: I have been left stranded on the freeway 4 times with 3 small children ranging from ages 3 months of age to 5 years of age with the same recurring issue Reduced engine power. I kid you not, the vehicle begins to fail locks up and then shuts off. I cant begin to describe how incredibly dangerous and frightful that experience is of having your vehicle shut off on you while traveling at 50-70 miles an hour with small children in the vehicle. And to make matters worse its out of warranty so I have paid over 13,000.00 in repairs alone. At least once a year our beloved family car shuts off and leaves us stranded in an incredibly dangerous situation and all Buick can say is we are sorry, you have had such a negative experience with this vehicle. Maybe its just a bad batch, lets offer you a newer model. As delightful as that sounds its not something I cant afford to do when I have paid you in full for a vehicle that doesnt work. And these vehicles are not cheap. Yes its a beautiful vehicle and has great features such as on star, blue tooth, heated leather seats, full 3rd row, towing capabilities, wood trim and all the other bells and whistles but Ive spent more money than any consumer needs to pay for a newer vehicle with low mileage. Since May of 2013 Ive had the following issues, power steering failure, reduced engine power (yearly occurrence), replacing a water pump twice, fuel injectors twice and transmission issues and those AC failing on one side of the vehicle. My biggest concerns are Safety and Reliability, your vehicles are not safe. I am proof of that and I have all the towing documents and dealership repair receipts to prove it. When you hear Oh my goodness, you are all lucky to be alive from your own Buick service technicians and other customers when explaining to them why your car is not working and why you were walking in from a ride on a small and uncomfortable tow truck with 3, yes 3 small children in car seats... you might just want to reach out to your customer and offer them a replacement or reimbursement. This is not how I would handle my business, this is not the type of poor service or experience any customer should endure, especially a client who has been loyal and understanding and paid their vehicle on full. I hope this helps other very frustrated consumers like myself who do not plan on remaining silent while companies like Buick continue to make money and make mistakes that might one day cost us our lives.

First of all the six cylinder engine in this car is killing my pockets, it eats gas like you would never believe. When turning the steering wheel all the way it cracks as if somethings going to break, the door slam loud noise like cheap car. When car door is open theres no signal lighting to let oncoming cars know that your door is open, transmission stays in same gear too long before changing to second gear. Very cheaply made luxury car. Not worth the money. No way. Im getting paint chips in front and sides of this car, Im leasing this car and I wish that I never got involved with this particular car 2017 Buick Enclave. Bad deal. Very bad deal, also when you first pull the car out it sounds like somethings loose or mud flapping from the tires, I dont know what thats all about but like I said very cheap luxury car. They really ** up this one. I really want to get out of this lease right now if possible.

My full review of this 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir is yet to be made as Ive only had it for a few weeks. However, to say Im completely satisfied out of the box that answer is a big NO. All the technology on this car can be quite confusing and to make that point try and call the OnStar service to find out about those things that are not clear in the manual and theyll put you on hold to go look in the manual. Really, their support people are poorly trained and somewhat useless when you call. No auto rain sensing windshield wipers which even the salesperson didnt know as he tried to convince me that we had them after Id called and had to turn them on and off in a rainstorm wed driven through. Connect 10 Bluetooth devices including your phone yet if youre using another device other than your phone, then your phone wont answer through the car. Hands free on the phone is one of the most important features a car can have for obvious safety reasons. Im still working out what I like and dislike about the car but with a car that costs you over $60,000 youd expect the simple things to be there and to work. On one last thing with Onstar, not sure whether they outsource it or not as have talked to a few who I cant even understand other than not being able to answer simple questions. Its a comfortable ride, quiet and great space when third row seats down but many other cars have that and the above problems not there. Just a bit disappointed.

Buick offers every car you can think of. This is my first car and I love it. It has awesome qualities, it gets me to where I need to go. I can fill my car up with about 40 dollars and it lasts me through the week, and thats with going back and forth to work. I can be in the middle of nowhere and the radio picks up great. They have a Bluetooth option to connect your phone, so its hands-free. The ac and heat does me wonders. It heats up and cools down in an instant. Also, the seats are easy to manage. Overall this car has the very best qualities. Over the years, Buicks have changed in its performance and its technology. It makes everything easy to handle and I feel safer having this vehicle while my kids are in the car. Every car has its own unique style that can be suited for anyone. As each year passes by the better they get. It is a trusting brand that you can count on. I have never came across a better quality of car. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a dependable car and looking to save in gas.

They have a wide variety of all sizes of cars and SUVs which is nice to have a selection to choose from. And they all ride really nice as well even the bigger models. I really liked the appearance of their SUVs. They did not look big and bulky like some of the SUVs that offer a lot of room. I also like how easily accessible all the features were, and they were all easily reachable for the driver. I got my Buick used so it was mostly standard features and not upgraded or personalized. But there is a wide variety of options to choose from if you want to upgrade and personalize the vehicles. I loved how roomy the Rendezvous was. Each passenger had more than enough space and mine sat 5 very comfortably, because I didnt have the third row seating. If I was to buy new I would definitely upgrade too!

I recently purchased a 2012 Buick LaCrosse AWD. I traded in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala LTZ. After driving the Buick for several months now, I wish I had the Impala back. The Buick is a beautiful car with a huge defect. GM has designed and programmed the 6-speed automatic transmission to shift at over 5,000 RPM. At the high RPM, the engine noise is very noticeable. Perhaps the worst effect is that the high RPM sucks gas and the car gets nowhere near the advertised mileage. The Buicks engine has as much, if not more power, than the Impala so the high shift points are completely unnecessary. They will result in higher engine and transmission wear, and they are killing the gas mileage. I am seeing growing complaints from other Buick LaCrosse owners, but when I contacted Buicks Customer Service about the problem, they blew me off saying the car is performing normal. They wouldnt admit the other complaints, and refuse to discuss any remedy. When entering the highway and accelerating to highway speed, the transmission only uses three of the six speeds before reaching the speed limit. I choked when I heard the new Chevrolet Cruze TV commercial say, With the 6-speed transmission, it allows for lower shift points. If this is the way GM is going to treat loyal customers, then its time for me to check out Toyota and Honda. I dont know how Buick avoided the Gas Guzzler Tax with this vehicle. Someone must have lied to EPA.

The regulators (Including Motor) cost less than $80.00 on eBay. I bought a 2010 Buick LaCrosse from Ewing Buick Plano, TX on 12/29/2010 off the showroom floor. Not being told that this car was in an accident totaling $5600.00 on 10/09/2009 on the right side of the car, 2 doors and front fender was replaced. I have located the body shop manager that was there at the time and he remembers the car and what happened to it. The owner of Ewing Buick loaned this car to his housekeeper to clean his house and his mother’s house at the time. She was in an alleyway and a homeowner came out of his driveway not seeing her and hit the LaCrosse on the passenger side. The car was repaired at Ewing Buick and then back out on showroom floor to sell. When I walked into Ewing Buick on 12/29/10 to buy a car, Rosemary was my sales representative, a very nice person. She did tell us, my husband and me, that the car had a dent on the front bumper, but it was fixed so they would take off a $1000.00 for that. Also, she had Randy, the finance officer, to come in and tell me about the dent on the bumper also. I guess to make sure I was aware of it. My husband and I both said that Rosemary told us about it. I asked how it happened and the excuse given to us was that the car was being cleaned up and the porter did not realize he had hit the post. My husband and I did not think anything about it because they fixed the bumper. But this is a far cry from the wreck that really happened on 10/09/2009 that we were not told about. We found all this out because I was in an accident on 10/20/2011 this year. I was pinned inside this car for 45 minutes because the doors would not unlock. I had to be cut out of this car with the jaws of live. After I got out of the car everyone was surprised the air bags did not come out on the driver’s seat. I had the car taken to Ewing Buick for repairs because that is where I bought it from. About 3 weeks into fixing the car, we got a call from our insurance company telling us this car was in another wreck on 10/ 2009 we told them no because we had bought this car off the show room floor on 12/29/2009. Allstate pulled the VIN and said that it was in another wreck totaling $5600.00. My accident cost about $ 7700.00, replacing 2 doors and back fender on the left side of the car. I went to Ewing Buick on 12/28/2011 to talk to them about the wreck on 10/09/2009 and the General Manager was rude and said that they did tell me and my husband about the wreck. So I am now asking for General Motors to look into this dealership and how it is being run. They did not tell us about the wreck in 2009. I have now contacted Rosemary and she is willing to help us and tell that we were not told about this wreck at anytime. Also, I have Michael, the ex body shop manager, to tell everything about this car also. All I want is for Ewing Buick to make this right. I will get a lawyer if I need to and I will also have Channel 8 and 5 to do a little more on looking into this also if I need to. We are coming to them because we have always bought their cars and would want to continue.

Noise sounds like air intake is restricted causing a whistlingnoise to transmit into the passenger compartment. Told by one dealership that it is the alternator just doing what its supposed to do. The second dealership used a stethoscope to listen to the alternator. The noise was not coming from the alternator but could be coming from the tensioner pulley or the serpentine belt. I was forced to purchase a new to me vehicle after my 1989 Chevy CK1500 pickup truck with 750,000 miles on it was totaled when a kid ran a stop sign. On 2-21-19, I purchased a 1991 Buick Park Avenue Ultra from a farmer that parked it outside on gravel. It had 116,000 miles on it. I paid $2350.00. I had some work done by my local garage that I have been doing business with since 1988. It needed a new gas tank, shocks and a few other items. I have it serviced regularly. Due to being parked on gravel, rust has taken over the undercarriage. I need to replace the car not because of mechanical issues, but because it is rusting away. I like this car so much that I am seeking another one. **, my mechanic told me to stick with the 3600 Series motor and do get a turbocharged one. He said that you have to change the oil in the turbo unit. I agreed. I no longer have the need for speed. Im 67, I want comfort. This car never failed me. I use to drive 100 miles a day back and forth to work. It got 30mpg on the highway and 20-22 in the city. I drove mostly on the highway. The car took me to Indiana twice, Tennessee twice without missing a beat. I know how to parallel park. I can turn on and off my headlights and wipers. The problems I see here are people want all the bells and whistles. Well, there is a price to pay for all that.

If everyone that has experienced this problem begin by writing unto their state consumer protection dept we can begin to put pressure on the company to acknowledge the problem. I dont know how well those guys have road tested the 2011 Lacrosse v6 with the 18 wheels before they put it into production, but I can tell you they did not do a good job. I am one of the unlucky owners of the 2011 Lacrosse and I am completely disappointed with this supposed luxury vehicle. The main culprit is the terrible road noise coming from the wheels. On any surface that is slightly rougher than completely smooth asphalt, the noise is very excessive. We compared the road noise with a 2002 very used Nissan Altima and found noise in the Lacrosse to be much worse. Especially on any metal junctions, such as the bridges and overpasses, and on rough cement or asphalt surfaces, the tires sound as though someone was hitting the vehicle with a hammer on the metal joints and there is that overwhelming low frequency noise like a plane flying in close proximity on gravel and other rough surfaces. The tire noise is the same on all the 2011 Lacrosses with the 18 rims. The other problem is the exhaust. The two mufflers sound like a boom box at very low rpms. We plugged one up to test where the noise comes from and found the car 50% quieter. Apparently the other muffler is just for the looks and does not serve the purpose that it was designed for; that is, muffling the noise. I did not have a chance to see if you did anything about the tire noise on the 2012 models, but I did see that they did something with the exhaust system. I am a dissatisfied owner and will most likely never buy any GM product again. I have contacted their customer service on multiple occasions, but to no avail. I only wanted them to put the17 wheels on, which are much better suited for this type of vehicle. I hope no one else gets fooled like me. I have read many reports by the owners on the web, I guess they must be deaf.

After driving a Mustang convertible for several years, it was time to change to a car better fitted for the winters in the Pacific Northwest. The Encore AWD was the perfect fit for me and made my family feel better about my safety. I love it all year round. Also very stylish for a small SUV. Also love the color.

This car brand is great. You can customized it to your needs. It matches who I am and I am very happy. Its a great family car. I am a mom of 4 and I drive around with my big family. Its spacious and everyone is comfortable with lots of legs space and shopping space. Its affordable, reliable and up to date. The tank is easy to fill and I felt safe with all the features such as air bags and road call assistant. I also feel good about my cars appearance. It has nice interior, good radio and gps system. I am very satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a car.

I purchased a 2010 Buick Lacrosse in July of 2010 and since I have bought it I have spent over $5000.00 in repairs in addition to warranty repairs that were covered. My check engine light came on and I was given a list of codes that were causing the problem. I fixed all recommended issues, only to have the light come on again a day later. I was given the run around about how that one light controls hundreds of components and that the dealership would fix it. The next day I was given the bogus excuse that because the area where my tank was located had been dented that I needed to replace the fuel tank reservoir because that was causing the problem. I took my car to a non GM dealer and was told it was something going on with my engine. I took my car back only to be told that it was my timing chain after I raised all kinds of hell about the erroneous diagnostics. After that repair, maybe a month later my car starts overheating and I was told that it was my water pump and that was going to be an additional $1200! I am so sick of this car that it is pathetic! I thought about trading the car in towards the purchase of another but with all the invested money on repairs, I feel like Im losing! I would never buy another Buick. I own a Lexus and BMW and have never had these kinds of problems. I love the body style and luxury of the car but the mechanical issues are too much for me. It seems that the quality of these parts are sub-par and below industry standards, just listen out for all the recalls that GM lists every month seems like! Imagine the other numerous issues that get swept under the rug only to be footed by the consumers. GM will lose a lot of its potential customer base with these mechanical concerns because anyone that asks about the performance of my car gets an earful thats surely able to deter them from buying one!

Bought a 2016 Buick Verano for my son. Monday morning he was coming home going 65 miles per hour. The car stalled or completely turned off. He managed to get to the emergency lane. Today is January 4, 2017. This car was purchased on November 29, 2016. His first payment isnt due till January 13. He called the dealership. They wanted him to bring it in the next day. I talked to the salesman. They got him a loaner car for Monday. They called me today and said there were no codes and they took it out to drive and everything is OK. Well its not OK for me. They have no idea whats wrong. The GM rep at the dealer told me the same thing Ive seen on other sites. No codes no problem it drives OK. Finally this car had 29 miles on it when bought it. Now has just under 300 and the first payment hasnt been made yet. My son is worried about driving the car. I hope this isnt a lemon.

My car is a nice SUV and it has Bluetooth blind spot and aux cord and back up cam. Its good on gas and roomy, comes with a sunroof and the staff knew exactly what I was looking for. The Color is nice and has chrome on the side mirror, the tag plate and dashboard. I had upgrades but strip seats in. I also asked them to put a cover in the trunk so I dont sharched and chrome on the wheels and tint on the windows. It is really nice to ride around in. I have a big family and we go on road trips and everyone is just fine in the car and there is a lot of head room and leg room and a lot of trunk space.

I drove to the grocery store this morning. All of 2 miles. Then to the drug store. Total round trip, 4 miles. I came home, put the car in the garage. I had to go into the garage to put something away and the fan was running from the engine. I thought that was strange as the car wasnt even hot. It shut off so I thought it was ok. About 5 minutes later, I went back into the garage and once again the fan started again! I opened the car door and my inside fan was blowing at high speed. I came in the house, got my car keys and locked the car. Now it isnt turning on. It concerns me as I know most cars a fan will run after you have turned it off but never have I seen a cars fan turn back on. Anyone have this issue?

For the past 8 months, I have only been able to drive my Buick for 2 weeks
For the past 8 months, I have only been able to drive my Buick for 2 weeks at a time without having serious issues. The engine light will come on and I get the following error messages: reduced engine power, max speed 32 mph, traction control off, service StabiliTrak. The first time this happened, I was on the interstate driving 75 mph! Since the end of July, I have had my car in for service multiple times at several different service centers. It has now been at Todd Wenzel Dealership in Davison, MI since January 6th (today is March 22nd), with no diagnosis. Today I was told they cannot diagnose it until the vehicle gets worse and that I should drive it until another symptom develops! They said since they cannot replicate the problem, they dont deem the car unsafe to drive.I have kept records that detail the issues I have been having and the attempts that have been made to fix it. If I did not still owe $12,000 I would have gotten rid of this car by now. I have been told: Total customer satisfaction is important at Buick. If this is truly the case, then Buick/GM should step up and make this right: either figure out the problem and fix it, or give me a replacement vehicle worth what I still owe. This is just not ok and I am at my wits end.

Paint is worn off in 4 spots on my 2017 Buick Enclave. Not stone chips, but 2 sections of paint missing. I have pictures of another Enclave in for service at the dealership that has paint missing in the same exact spots. Buick wont cover this, saying that its because we drive it on a dirt road. So, buyer beware... If you live on or drive on a dirt road - BUICKS ARE NOT TO BE DRIVEN ON DIRT... DO NOT BUY ONE. (Our Chevy Cruze and 2 different GMC Acadias that had 75,000 miles on it never had any paint missing.)

I really enjoy my car. It is really wonderful, works well, and gets everything done. It was quite easy to pick out. Buick is wonderful because they care about their customers and will help you find the car that meets all of your needs. I have a radio, television, and air bags in the front and back seats of my car. These came with a family plan that was no extra charge, just for safety. I found this to be really awesome and convenient since I have children and am generally transporting kids from school and such so it helps. Also, I got an upgraded sunroof for the summertime and it works amazing! It opens automatically with a small button that I have in the drivers seat so I dont have to fiddle with the roof while I am driving when I am in need of fresh air. And I love that this car has so much room and space for my family, kids, and even friends of friends of friends! Everyone can fit and we can carpool.

Initially you would be blown away. Its so luxurious and comfy inside. Great features. Seems high end. STOP! Dont let that fool you like it did me. Dont believe my review. Just google complaints with Buick Enclaves and thousands of consumers have the same complaints as me. The transmission and powertrain needed to be replaced. Was stuck on highway out of town several times with transmission, powertrain, and StabiliTrak problems. The SUV decelerated to less than 10mph many times on the road... DANGEROUS. That check engine light stayed on. I took it to many many mechanics who could not fix it. Buick wants you to pay to just replace the whole thing... thousands of dollars. If I didnt have an initial extended warranty I wouldve been out $3k when it 1st happened on natl highway. The wave plate needed to be replaced then. The valves and hoses constantly break and leak and need replacing. I have spent thousands out of pocket as a teacher and single momma. This car is a money pit! Beautiful, spacious. Comfy, but you will never be able to relax! Passenger airbag light is on and rear backup alert is on. The airbag alone in a passenger seat 800. For what you pay for the luxury car, you might as well drive a cheap car that gives you no problems. GMC wont recall these terrible engine and transmission problems either though they know about it and many consumers complain about it. Rip off. They should spank themselves! They deserve 1 star.

I purchased a 2011 Buick Regal November 2011. Since that time I have been working with Sapaughs Service department to clear away problems that are causing my dissatisfaction, namely the performance of said vehicle. My greatest complaint is the near stall affect or the delayed response to acceleration and when it decides to respond it will jerk so bad that I am repositioned in my seat. I want a smooth operation. The experience of driving the said vehicle is not pleasant. I am convinced the service department at Sapaugh Motors does not know the cause of the said problem. I pay 631.00 dollars each month for a vehicle I am unhappy with. Please, can you help me?

The Buick Enclave for my family of six has given me nothing but problems. My check engine light would stay on majority of the time. It use to sound like something up under the vehicle was loose because it would rattle really badly. Whenever you started the truck up, it would make a loud roaring sound and grinding when making a left hand turn. My heat/air went out. All of the warning signals began lighting up. My front driver tire would always go low; but I was told by the dealership that the passenger back tire sensor needed to be replaced. The list goes on and on, but now it has been inoperable and parked in front of my garage since May 4, 2017. I had just got the vehicle used from a car lot; that had just purchased it from the dealership next door to them that morning. The downside was that it was purchased AS IS and with no extended warranty. The worst part is that it was purchased to replace a car that I had just lost, due to a total loss of being in an accident where I was not the at fault driver. I went months without a vehicle after being forced to turn in the rental. Now, my family has to endure being without a running vehicle now for almost a year. It is extremely unethical on GMs part because they were already aware of many of their plethora of models/years before they even started. Now, my family has been going in debt to pay for a vehicle that we cannot drive. I have been forced to turn down temp jobs because the strain of lack of multiple public transit routes not coinciding with job schedules. Most people in social media groups have been bragging about at last getting rid of their money pit vehicles. I wish that was even an option for me. However, if I was even able to afford to get it fixed, I would still be taking a major loss with the $4000 that I put down plus the loan payments that we are currently still making in addition to when I was still making full coverage insurance payments. That could have been going towards the loan payments, repairs, or even another vehicle.

First of all, we were lied to by the sales person. The dealership in Cleveland, TN. We were informed I could get a sunroof installed for $695.00. We chose the Buick Verano we have because of that fact. There was another Buick Verano at the dealership we would have chosen had we known the actual cost of the sunroof was DOUBLE what the sales lady told us. The dealership owner refused to honor this and she had no concern for her employees lying to us. Her overall presentation was not a good one at all. I forwarded my concern to BUICK and GM without any success whatsoever. ABOUT THE CAR. This is not buyers remorse. The car has a HORRIBLE odor inside that air freshener does not work on. The side windows fog up except on warm sunny days. The steering wheel radio channel changer does not function. The automatic climate control only works for the air conditioning. You can feel the car change every gear upon take off and slowing down. The passenger seat sometimes slides when the car is moving - it doesnt seem to lock into position very well. The back windshield needs a wiper because of the slant. Dust and rain obstruct the rear view at times. I had such high hopes. I am 48 years old and I have only owned two new cars in my lifetime thus far. The first was a Chevrolet Cavalier which eventually got repossessed because I had to spend so much money to keep it running. I only had it for 2 years before they took it. I was 22 years old then. The car was under warranty but the things that kept tearing up were not I was told by the dealership. Now another GM product with liars and what I feel to be a terrible car. Fortunately I dont have a car payment and it cannot be repossessed this time. I gave this car to my cousin to drive and I now own a new Honda Accord that I really like. I am PRO AMERICAN and bought a Buick for that fact and for the first time in my life I am ashamed to be an American because our businesses have no morals. From the dealership to the company. How they stay in business I will never know. However, I can promise you that my partner and I will never buy another GM product.

Bought my 2017 Buick Cascada new and had no problems until June 29, 2019. Since then nothing but problems. Four attempts to repair at one dealership between June 30 and the middle of July. The dealership claimed they fixed/replaced crank shaft and can shaft three times and the issues were unrelated. Returned car to me leaking oil. Second dealership has had car since first week of August with turbo part 30 to 60 days out. GMC representative informed me that’s a parts issue not theirs and since they plan to repair it they are upholding their end of the deal. I thought the deal was a quality car?!?? Apparently the deal is provide bare minimum and expect consumer to be happy. I expected more from Buick. Should have stuck with Nissan. Less flash but a lot more reliable!

Buick has basically only cars and CUVs, not a variety of either. But what they do have they are good at. However, they are missing several models of cars that seem comparable to others. Cadillac had the ultra luxury space, so it makes it unclear exactly what Buick is going for. We purchased the LaCrosse and were very happy with the appeal overall. The color options were excellent and the curves were attractive. Overall the car had a modern, sleek, expensive look. Several personalization options were excellent, specifically some of the technology options. However, I feel that the Buick is lacking some of the more innovative safety features that other vehicles offer as options. While it doesnt have any huge passenger vehicles, it carries the popular and necessary options that carry between 5 and 8 people, which fits most families.

Purchased pre-owned certified Lacrosse w/ 28k miles, from dealer in North Central Texas. In less than one year this vehicle has left me stranded twice. The second time the car failed, I was half way to the dealers shop. The car had to be towed the rest of the way. Timing chain issues and several codes flashed after vehicle was inspected. Dealer is now demanding proof of oil changes and attempting to back out of any warranty obligations. Purchasing a car on good faith and trusting GM to stand behind their products is a fools errand. No wonder the majority of folks in the US buy trusted and high quality Japanese automobiles. After repairs are made to my Lacrosse I fully intend to purchase a certified Toyota Avalon. Disgusted.

We bought the 2006 Buick Lucerne CXL 2.5 Years ago @ Taylor Automotive in Martin, TN. We drove it down the road for a test drive. I drove, didnt drive very far, possible 3 miles. The Car drove sorta good. We bought it. That Sunday night drove it to work, we worked 3rd shift. The Monday morning got in the car, it would not go into reverse. So, I put it back into park and got the rpms up. Then put the car into reverse. It went in gear. The next day Tuesday got the tires rotated. The car had new tires on it. The guy at Melvins Tire in Murray, KY said, Bobby these wheels are bent. So, I called Jermany @ Taylor Automotive. And told them. They replaced 2 wheels. Then later on I found out the car had the wrong battery on it. I emailed Jermany and told him. I Also took pictures and got on GMs website and called GM to confirm if it had the wrong battery on it. Jermany told me that it was the right battery but later on he retracted his words and told me the battery would be there Tuesday. Then the car kept on not going into gear, so I called GM and they told me to take it to the dealer. So, I did.Taylor Automotive said there was nothing wrong with the transmission. Which 2.5 years now it still doesnt go into gear right away. The dealer told me that the new Buicks did the same. I have a 1977 Chevy Nova, it will go into gear in any position. I bought one other wheel because Taylors would not replace it. There is still one more wheel which is bent. They are 17 wheels. I have it documented @ GM that all this is true. I will never buy a GM product. I am going to send one of the bent wheels to GM CEO so he knows what kind of the cars that Taylor Automotive is selling, being a GM dealership. I have more for later.
