The 2024 Ford Mustang broke cover, we drove the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla, and the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata began testing. It's the Week in Reverse, right here at Motor Authority. The 2024 Ford Mustang debuted with an expanded model range and a renewed focus on racing. A new Dark Horse model will bring an estimated 500 hp and track-focused suspension to the lineup, along with track and race variants. Ford also confirmed the Mustang will race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Daytona, and many other races as it heads to NASCAR, the IMSA SportsCar Championship, and Australia's Supercars series, as well as in various GT3 and GT4 competitions around the globe. The 2023 Chrysler 300C rolled into the limelight in Detroit as the automaker gives the nameplate one last hurrah for 2023. Production of the 300 will end after the 2023 model year, but Chrysler will build 2,200 units of the new 300C with a 485-hp 6.4-liter V-8 shoved under the hood. Chrysler said the 300C will cost $55,000 and deliveries are set to begin in the spring. We drove the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla and marveled at how the Japanese automaker took the economy car hatchback from boring rental car status to a turbocharged pocket rocket. With an advanced all-wheel-drive system, a turbo-3, and a 6-speed manual, the GR Corolla is a true riot. It's all about the willpower with this small hot hatch. The Ferrari Purosangue became official with a naturally aspirated V-12 rated at 715 hp. The Prancing Horse's first crossover SUV, which really looks like a large lifted hatchback, features suicide doors and will cost nearly $400,000 when it arrives late in 2024. A test mule for the redesigned Mazda MX-5 Miata began testing on public roads. The early mule used the current MX-5 Miata's body with subtle modifications to hide the updated running gear. A debut is expected in 2023 or possibly 2024.

I have been a Ford Customer for over 30 years and I will NEVER buy another Ford. Ford refuses to cover the corrosion that is spreading on the hood of my 2014 Explorer. Now the paint is starting to chip off as well. Ford is well aware of this issue with several Ford models and will NOT do anything about it. (The local Ford Body Shop Manager told me so.) The issue is due to inadequate prep work before painting the vehicle. I have been going back and forth with Ford for over 6 months. I even sent a letter to the Ford Board of Directors. Ford simply does NOT care. FORD DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES!At first Ford tried to say that the warranty is 3/36000 miles, but later admitted that the warranty is actually 5 years/unlimited miles. Then they stated: Corrosion Warranty covers body sheet metal panels against corrosion due to a defect in factory supplied materials or workmanship. Corrosion coverage only applies if the corrosion causes perforation (holes) in body sheet metal panels. Corrosion Warranty coverage begins at the warranty start date and lasts for five years, regardless of miles drive. This is a defect in factory workmanship!

Both vehicles encountered heater vibration problems and electrical problems with the lights. Took both vehicles to Ford and they worked on the first one by removing the center console to see what the problem was and they found a rodents nest and body parts which they clean up and removed, but it was not covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. It cost me out of pocket over 400.00 dollars. The lights they said that it wasnt the bulb but rodents also had eaten the wires which again it not cover either under the bumper to bumper warranty so I could not see paying any more but that cost me 90.00 more dollars. So I was not willing to pay to have the second transit looked at.My wife and I both had no luck with Fords main office service because they said it wasnt their fault that rodents are eating the wiring and nesting in the heater unit. Disgusted with their answer I asked why are they using soy oil in their wiring insulation, seat foam plus the numerous pounds of recycled plastics and gasket materials. Its like a buffet for the rodents, they told theyre being green! When I wrote the checks for both these vehicles at Ford I did not see anything about them using recycled crap in these brand new vehicles, if I did I would not have bought them. I told the person that contacted us Why dont you smear steak sauce all over the car. But by using soy oil in the manufacturing its the same results with the rodent problem.While we were at Ford they laughed and said we were lucky they had a new car in the shop last week that was towed in because rodents had enjoyed eating most of the wiring but they said their insurance company paid thousands of dollars to repair it, why is it the insurance companys problem when Ford is inviting disaster by using soy oil in the manufacturing process so they can say theyre green. But the consumers are not aware of this. My grandfather worked and retired from Ford motor company, hes rolling over in his grave now.I have always bought Fords since I have been driving. Never have I had issues like this before, their smug attitudes that its not their fault rodents are the problem, I say it is their fault for using soy oil and recycled crap for gaskets wiring insulation seat foam and trim products. There should be a class action law suit against them for the repairs. But theyre not the only ones doing it. Something needs to be done, Maybe the United States steel workers union needs to put up pick lines on all the dealerships to let people know theyre going to left in the cold.

We have had our 2016 Explorer towed 3 times as the computer is not able to adjust to fuel composition and will not start, until the dealer resets the computer. DO NOT purchase this 2016. It is Fraud. They sell as a flex fuel. This is a lie and FORD needs to be sued.

October 2014 called for, obtained case # **. Deliver car Auburn Ford in California. Dealer stated car obtains 30 mpg. Actual combination mileage 23. After picking up the car, up to 25 combination has dropped to 20 mpg. Freeway best 27 mpg. This calculating actual from odometer and figuring mileage at the gas pump, not on board computer. Called back customer service. Told Ford does not resolve issues, the dealer does. Explained difficulty with local dealers (dealers stated no issues with car). Told that is my only option. Called back to Ford customer service. Operator forwarded to manager. I was told I would have to speak to a senior manager. There would be a call back within 48 hrs. Call back same day. I couldnt answer at that time. I called back right away. LVM. Received call back the next day. Senior manager stated FoMoCo does not provide estimated gas mileage, the EPA does. Ford just puts that information on the sales sticker. I attempted to explain I did not want to hear excuses. I need some assistance with the gas mileage issue. He stated I was not listening to him. I attempted numerous times to ask him what he wanted me to do. At this time, he stated I was not listening to him. I became angry and attempted to obtain his instructions. Requested a different dealer. He agreed but still stated I was not listening. I explained the cars mileage situation numerous times. Requested his assistance. He declined to provide any information to me. I attempted one last time. He stated he would not provide information, stating he would refer me to his manager within 48 hrs. The 48 hrs. have passed and no call back. During the conversation, I mentioned in my opinion the car is too heavy for the 1.6 Ecoboost engines torque rating. He agreed the engine is working too hard to be efficient in this size of car. He also agreed the on-board computer is not the most accurate. But dealers equipment is accurate. I explained I understood the mileage will be less than the rated in real life. The car has never reached even 30 mpg on the freeway, 9-hour drive travel. The rated city mileage is 22 mpg. The cars actual mileage is 20 mpg combination freeway and city. He only stated the estimated mpg is provided by the government, not by Ford.

While driving down a 4-lane Expressway, my 2011 Ford Edge accelerator pedal stopped responding. The car did not lose all power, the accelerator just went dead. The car was idling very roughly, but when I pressed on the accelerator pedal nothing happened. There was no shoulder on the road so I had to stop in the middle of the road! I am SO lucky that no one rear-ended me before I was able to maneuver off the road. I turned off the car and waited a minute or two and turned the car back on. The accelerator was working so I headed home. The car went limp two more times before I arrived home a couple of miles down the road. The next day my husband followed me to the dealership with his emergency flashers on. My Edge went limp twice on the way to the dealership. The mechanic was familiar with the problem and diagnosed a bad Throttle Body. It was replaced for about $650.00 and the car runs fine now. This problem is common and needs to be addressed before someone is killed! I thank my lucky stars that this didnt happen on a busy interstate.

Got a couple of my mechanically minded friends to look at the vehicle, they thought it might be the hanger bearing on the 2 piece drive shaft that had failed.I drove it at 3 km/h to a local garage about 5 km away to diagnose it. They suggested that they replace the entire drive shaft with another where the u bolts and the hanger bearing can be replaced. Apparently, the engineering design of the 2008 Ford F150 drive shaft is such that the hanger bearing cannot be replaced, that switching out the entire drive shaft is the only remedy. My concern is that a drive shaft failing after only 33,000 km is extraordinary. And Ford Canada should be willing to do something to help their customer.

Its seat is a couple inches higher than other cars, so it is easier for me to get in and out of with my old knees, and the A/C works great, which is a must in Texas! Its an older car, so it doesnt have wi-fi technology. I might install wi-fi if I thought Id be keeping the car forever. And it has leather seats, which I really dont like -- too hot for Texas summers!

We can have a full tank of gas and it says empty and even alarms us. We can be driving and put the truck in neutral, turn it off and on and it will then give a reading. The check engine light is not always on and same with the airbag. Never got a reason for the airbag. The Ford mechanic claims there are no problems.We even had an experience once while driving we noticed smoke coming from under the drivers seat and smelled a hot smell. We pulled over to check it out and it stopped and we found nothing wrong or signs of burning. We feel ripped off and with the mechanics claiming nothing is wrong (when we know there is). We feel cheated and endangered.

I discovered that Ford credit had not updated my personal information even though I had the car in service at the Ford dealer and gave my personal information on two separate occasions when I went to get the truck serviced. Ford credit stated they did not have my phone number so just put me on the bad credit list and threatened to repossess the truck even after I had placed $10,675 down to purchase the vehicle. The dealership was given my new information in February when I needed an oil change, but they did not enter it into their system. This is a reflection of the shoddy, greedy and poor customer service of the Ford Dealer. I will never purchase another shoddy vehicle from Ford again. I worked as a mechanic and service manager for a Ford dealership back in the 60s for almost 10 years at which time I attended Ford Motor company classes in White Plains NY and have dealt with many of the factory representatives and corporate people. So I know a little about Ford. Back then and beyond for quite a number of years, Ford Motor company promoted consumer satisfaction as one of their major concerns. As of late, I cannot state that any longer.Fords quality control has diminished to a low I could have never expected, not only with the manufacture of their automobiles but also the arrogance, disrespect and sheer lack of concern for the consumer. We all are aware of the fact that mechanical things can inherit defects from time to time and some are not the fault of Ford Motor Company like the Takata air bag debacle. It is extremely difficult to remedy a situation as large as this and this is where customer service comes in but Ford has a problem with customer service. They are poorly educated in the field, have no power to get anything done or render any assistance for your concern. Instead, they become frustrated and arrogant and leave you stranded and helpless directing you to take it up with your dealership of which if that were acceptable I would not be calling Ford Motor Company.Among many recent scenarios that have taken place with Ford in the last few years, including a 2011 Mustang with transmission problems that could not be repaired by the dealership that being Dana Lincoln Mercury of Staten Island NY or the so called engineers that came to check the car, I finally had to lemon law it and had Ford take it back after 8 months. The lawyer that handled my case was great at no cost to me, Ford customer service, horrible. After that was settled, I made the mistake of purchasing a 2012 Mustang from the same dealer, Dana Lincoln Mercury of Staten Island NY. Same lack of concern from Ford over a problem with dash gauge clear plastic that was delaminating and blurring vision of gauges and radio. Ford Motor company when contacted, told me it was my fault for using some form of chemical that caused it to delaminate even though it was delaminating from the inside of the clear plastic, not the outside. Then there was a problem with paint bubbling on the hood of the car. The skin of the hood is aluminum and the frame is made of steel. These two types of metal cannot touch without causing a chemical reaction which causes aluminum to oxidize causing the paint to bubble. Paint problems, if you check with Google, has been going on with Ford since the year 2006. You would be amazed at the depth of which this paint problem has gone on and not been exposed. Fords solution,Sorry cant help you. Its probably something you have been using while washing the car. You cant repaint it, oxidation never stops once it starts. My fix, purchased a fiberglass hood for $1400.The latest situation is with my wifes 2007 Mustang with 21,000 miles on it and a DEFECTIVE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR. Now I know its difficult to repair thousands upon thousands of cars and obtaining all of those parts from the manufacturer is almost impossible. We waited 2 years from the first recall letter and understood that it is important to recall the newer cars first. So we waited. Checking with the dealer from time to time. Finally we received a letter from Ford that our parts for the 2007 Mustang are now available, call your dealer. We did, set up an appointment, brought the car in just to be told that the parts are not in yet, even though Ford said they were. The service manager assured me that the part is now available and they would order the part and call when it came in. They never called and when I called them, they said they would have to order the part. Here we go round in circles. After 4 attempts with the dealership I contacted Ford Motor Company. It took 3 phone calls to get to a representative that understood my problem and only because I was able to understand him and he understood me. He contacted the dealership, Dana Lincoln Mercury and ordered the part needed for the 2007 Mustang. He also completed the task and made an appointment for me to have it done that coincided with the arrival of the part. I was shocked. Brought the car in on that day at 8 AM and was told that there is no stock on the part needed for my car. Went back home and called Ford Motor Company, tried to explain my problem, spoke to someone who spoke very bad broken English and could not help me at all. At that time I called back and spoke to someone else and asked to be escalated to a supervisor with no success. That customer service representative told me that I had no such recall on that car. The next representative said he would call the dealer, put me on hold and came back and said there were no service advisors available at the dealership to speak to. I said, there are 9 of them there, call back. After he got arrogant with me, I got him to call back. At the same time I called the dealer and spoke to a service advisor. The Ford representative came back on the line and told me again that he could not get to talk to a service advisor. I had to stop. The level of frustration was just too great. I later called Ford customer service again and requested a supervisor. I was told that one would contact me within 48 hours. At this time, I am awaiting their call. If I do not receive a call shortly, I am going to contact local news agencies and the pertinent Government agencies for assistance. Remembering what you have previously read and hopefully you have googled Ford bubbling paint be advised, Ford has made an all aluminum pickup truck this year. I dont know how theyre keeping the paint on it but I would investigate it further if you are thinking of buying one. Leasers have no problem, just give it back. I think thats why Ford quality control does not exist any longer. It doesnt have to. And by the way, I have found out that the dealership, Dana Lincoln Mercury of Staten Island NY, has no loaner cars available. It seems that they have become inundated with a large amount of transmission problems that have taxed them to the limit but you will never hear about that either. I will never purchase another Ford as long as I live even though I am a die hard Mustang lover. Very sad. You have been Advised.

Once the fire was out and things cooled down a bit. it was evident that the cause was from the exhaust swelling up due to heat and pressure of a clogged catalytic converter system. The four-wheel drive has been engaged twice, and the majority of the miles have been on the highway. Thirty miles from FT Leonard Wood the transmission began slipping. The vehicle was sluggish when accelerating from a stopped position causing a hazard in city driving or merging onto the interstate. The vibration increased on the highway at speeds above 50 MPH making it difficult to steer. When I arrived at my destination, I dropped it at the dealership the next day for service.The service representative called and informed 2 maintenance lights were on for engine and transmission service. I agreed to move forward with the scheduled maintenance. The dealership called later that day and informed me I needed a new transmission but could not explain what the codes meant or the cost of repair. I asked for clarification, but no one ever got back to me with an update. I received a text my truck was ready for pick up, but the staff could not explain the problem. I am now at day seven and after countless phone calls to the dealership and Ford customer service line. No one can explain the issue or offer assistance because the vehicle is not under warranty! My questions. Why is the transmission shot after only 37,000 miles? If it is replaced, what reassurance do I have this problem will not reoccur in another 37,000 miles? Is there assistance for a drive train component replacement that is supposed to last 100,000 miles and likely defective? Why is this a warranty issue and not a quality issue? The staff at the Ford customer service center try to keep bouncing back to the dealership and refuse to put me in contact with the regional manager or supervision staff. I finally got a call and they offered to replace the transmission for $5,000. Told me I could take it or leave it.

Parts are not available for this truck. Ford has been completely uncooperative and unsupportive. While a rental car has been provided, they expect me to pay the difference between what they pay and the baseline price of the lowest level rental provided by the rental company. At this point they state that they will ship an entirely new transmission, however they have no ETA on this and it could be up to two more weeks until this is resolved. When I escalated this to Ford customer service the only resolution is to keep waiting. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I will be escalating this to legal means.

My mom bought a 2016 Explorer and the car was sold as new and no accidents. Well she washed the car last month and paint chipped off the front fender a big chunk of paint. My mom has had no accidents and keeps the car in the carport. She calls Ford and tries to use the warranty but Ford doesnt call her back for 3 days. She had to call them for them to tell her the car had been in a wreck previous. So she calls another number for corporate and the woman starts out with an attitude and implies she wrecked the car and is trying to get over on FORD. My mom dont have to get over on Ford. She just wants what she paid for when buying a new car. She bought the car in Florida where I was living at the time at BARTOW FORD.The car was damaged during shipping and then was treated like she has to scam Ford to get her car fixed. My mom had the lady of the corporate office on speaker phone and the lady flat out told her it is her job to turn people down and not approve claims cause that cost Ford. Well I am the one that got my mom interested in Ford by me buying an Explorer and then I bought myself a 2015 Lariat and then my mom bought hers and was ripped off. Well my family has spent over a 100 thousand dollars and for the ignorance of that lady to tell us her job is to turn people down from their warranty. Well Im here to tell people not to buy a Ford so people like her cant have a job. If enough people quit buying their product then they have to thin the ignorant people of Ford.Needless to say my mom had to pay out of pocket to get her car fixed and they discovered that there was more damage done than what we was seeing and thanks to whoever covered this up it cost my family money and to be disrespected by a lady behind a desk that dont know ** about my mom and accuse her of trying to scam Ford. I did like your products. This was the first time we owned Ford. My family was always a Chevrolet family. Guess what? We will be getting rid of all of our Fords.

I took delivery of the vehicle, and a week later, while handwashing it, I noticed that it was a big glob of something on the roof, a giant swirl on the left front hood, and the tailgate is half shiny and half dull. iPhone the salesman, and he directed me to the dealers body shop. The body shop only addressed the roof, as they said the other two imperfections were not visible to their eyes. The customer is always right remember? Anyway, when I got the truck back I looked at it and it seemed fine. About an hour later a friend and I both climbed into the bed and looked at the roof because it had become very bright and sunny out. There were dozens of air bubble over the river. I called the body shop and brought it back in. It was at this time that a body shop manager told me the history of my new truck. He said that The paint sprayers at the Ford Dearborn truck plant had malfunctioned at the time my truck was being painted. He went on to say, that the truck was tag and set aside for repaint, but someone removed the tag and shipped it. Ford KNOWINGLY SHIPPED my truck with DEFECTIVE paint!!! I WAS LIVID!!! After my truck was given back to me, I drove away in tears. Again I waited for it to be very sunny, and I looked at it again. Only this time my roof which should be one sheet shiny paint, had buff marks which resembled sandpaper being used all over the roof. I was sick and furious!!! I went back a third time and was met by the body shop manager and another man. I spoke up again about my outrage at the plant knowingly shipped my truck with the fact of paint. The body shop manager said to me, I probably shouldnt of told you that, and the other man nodded his head in agreement. They stood on stool and looked at my roof. It had rained that morning, so there was dust on my roof. The unnamed man said he couldnt see a problem, so I gently with my finger and started wiping off some of the dirt. He said, it cant be that noticeable if you have to let your finger to see it. He left, and I stayed to speak to the body shop manager. I asked him who that rude man was so belittled me, and he said, The dealership owner. That man didnt even have the courtesy of introducing himself. Yes I purchased a $45,000 truck from him. Seriously? I offered to have my truck shipped back to the plant to have it factory-painted like I ordered and paid for. I am now stuck making payments for the next six years on a brand-new F-150 with a ** paint job. This is not what I ordered, and paid for. My truck was to have factory paint.

This is the second Ford Edge that we have owned and we really like the vehicle. It gets fairly good gas mileage for its size and is very comfortable and nice looking. We had both vehicles well past the warranty and found it to be very stable. No major repairs and only typical maintenance. We love the GPS and the two moon roofs. The area in the back will hold large items and is easy to push a button and lower the back seats to make even more room. The body style is very sharp and I love the heated seats. But the first Edge had a problem with the rear view window and I felt like I couldnt see as well as I should be able to. But the next one we bought had a little condensed mirror attached to the rear view mirror that enables me to see a wider area. We are very pleased.

The modern emissions standards put on diesel engines ensures poor reliably and efficiency in comparison to the gas engines. For you sensible folks that want a durable and reliable machine, the V10 engine is all that you can ask for, just remember these are work trucks not mini vans.

Love that the seats recline all the way back and the back seats fold in for added cargo space for the trunk. But Im not really pleased with this car like I would have hoped to be. It has been unreliable on several occasions and its giving me more headaches than pleasure breaking down on me. Also the console is way smaller than I expected and I wanted a deeper glove box. The drink holders arent adjustable for bigger cups which is very aggravating. I also wanted the car to come with 5 star rally wheels instead of standard spare tire. I wish that the overall length was a little bit bigger and the access to certain areas under the hood was better aligned for easier working space and the doors and windows access for the back seats are made ridiculous.

They told me to bring it into the body shop and ask for Joe. I did what they told me. Spoke with Joe for less than 2 mins. Explained what has happened, showed him a picture that I had taken. We went back inside, Joe disappeared. After a few mins. James ** handed me an estimate for the repair of the window at the cost of $369.29. I asked about warranty because it just shattered for no apparent reason to this he gave me no response. I explained I could not afford the cost. He said I can maybe take off $50.00. I thanked him and departed. I then called Ford Customer Care, spoke with April whom was very helpful. Gave me a case number and told me to wait a few hours and call the service manager. I did what I was instructed to do. I called Bill Currie Ford and asked to speak to the service manager, of course on got voice mail. I left a message with my case number and contact info. I called the next day, again getting only voice mail, again left the info. The service manager Mark has yet to respond to my calls. So now I have a car that cannot be secured. I am on the road all day and I am forced to park my car with the window wide open just asking for someone to take advantage of it.

Low levels of integrity especially when faced with legal grey areas. Spot deliveries should be removed as they do nothing but help the dealer and put the potential owners in a precarious position if the unapproved financing falls through. A disabled veteran, who has never purchased a new truck finally decides to make the leap, a dealership who on the surface seems amazing to deal with. One spot delivery and failed financing deal two days later, and the honeymoon is short lived. Out of town and unable to review new documentation I requested the dealer to pick up its truck as financing had failed, it was their truck, and I couldnt give a yes or no until the paperwork was reviewed. Unfortunately for both parties, a drunk driver drove through my yard before my return, and broke the frame of this brand new truck. Putting on a wonderful front, attempting to help (at least on the surface), it seemed all was well. The insurance questioned who owned the truck, because documentation was never signed, and the fun began. On the verge of harassment the dealership went so far as to say they would drive to wherever I was located to get me to sign the documentation, because, in their eyes, why wouldnt I sign the documents I never had a chance to go over. They went so far as to say that the approving credit union knew the truck was wrecked, and that it was deemed OK. A quick phone call to a branch manager proved that the dealership was lying and never disclosed the accident, as a result, the credit union started that neither I or they had financial responsibility to the new truck. The dealer then took the stance that regardless, I owned the truck, and it was my responsibility, and I was on my own. Calls left unanswered, phone calls never returned, and a GM who wouldnt make contact, in stepped lawyers on both sides.  A month later and the issue is unresolved, the dealer refuses to be amicable, and now they have gone so far as to push my personally identifiable information to ANOTHER creditor, obtain an approval without my permission or signature, and expect me to make a payment on a truck I have yet to sign for by the 7th of January.As a disabled veteran, this is heartbreaking to be apart of, it has put me back in therapy. We have approached the VA and Prisma Health (my wifes place of employment) about publishing our story in their newsletter, as it obvious the only thing this dealer understands or respects is the bottom line. I will also be contacting, if approved, all local news outlets that are willing to listen, as this needs to be out in the open. I wonder how many lost customers this issue will cause? And for what? A truck? With so many Ford dealerships to choose from, Lugoff Ford (and by virtue the whole family of dealerships IE Lugoff Toyota, Carolina Dodge, etc.) needs to understand the repercussions of taking advantage of its disabled veterans and hospital workers.

Service says needs to order parts. 3 weeks later no follow-up except the email from the service department ask about the lengthy list of service they performed. Guess what? They didn’t do any of these services. And never followed up on the 1 thing I did ask them to do. I wonder if they billed Ford Motor Company for these bogus services. UGH come on Ford. Its 2019. Get rid of the bs sales tactics, update your finance software, and get a real service dept.

The reason I am complaining is because of Ford customer service. I reached out to them on 9/26/2016 at 10:33 AM, and I was told that a regional customer service manager would contact me in 1 day. It is currently 11:13 AM on 9/28, and I havent heard from anyone. First of all, I have been without a vehicle for 4 of the last 6 days which affects my job, family, income, and personal responsibilities. There seems to be no sense of urgency for Ford and its customer service department to help me. I currently own 3 Ford vehicles, but I feel as that means nothing to them, and they could care less that I am a loyal customer. I feel that Ford needs to step up and take some responsibility and do right to me by compensating me for the missed income and expenses that have occurred due to this faulty vehicle. I have rented cars because of being stranded, and last week spent the night in a parking garage in downtown Chicago in my car with my family due to the failed vehicle. This is not right Ford! I shouldnt be the person that is paying for a troubled car that has only 26K miles. Sure the warranty is still in effect, but what do I do when stranded places? I doubt this will go anywhere but maybe someone from Ford reads this and steps up.

I guess I will use an umbrella to keep the weather from my 3-week old. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD OR AMERICAN MADE POS! Had 1 Toyota, 2 Nissans and 2 Hyundais and had NO problems. Paid much less, much older and got 200,000 plus miles on them. Only get the run around when you call customer care. Service manager gives you the number but customer care says manager has final say. Manager goes out of town before discussing decision with you. When you make original call, everything is always we cant look at it for at least one week, til you ask to talk to manager then it changes like magic. Sure I will drive around with sunroof open for a week until you can even look at it.

The first time we towed our 5th wheel travel trailer with it, it shook. When we got back home, we went to our dealership & they were more than willing to try to help us. They got in contact with Ford Motor Company & did everything that they were told to do. WE are more than happy with our dealership but we are totally disappointed in Ford Motor Company, as they will not do anything else to fix the problem. We have been calling them for 28 months now & all they have offered us was $1,000.00 towards another new truck. We have spent more than that just traveling back & forth to the dealership trying to get help from them.We have had 23 Ford automobiles in the last 40 years. We have been loyal to the Ford company all of these years but I guess our Loyalty doesnt mean much to Ford Motors. Three of our trucks was well over 65,000.00. I guess this goes to show it doesnt matter how much money you give them, you are not worth the effort to help us or gives a real good deal on another truck. Again after leaving it in the garage over night the smell was very strong of gasoline. We took it to a shop right up the street thinking that maybe it was a gas filter issue but once they lifted the car up it was clear that there was a gas leak at seam or the half full level as described by the automotive technician. We were referred to the Ford dealer. We called the dealer who informed us that there was a recall on the gas tank for this vehicle and to bring the car in. I paid over 80 dollars to have the car towed to Avis Ford in Southfield, Mi. from Belleville, Mi. Only to be told that there was a mistake and that the 2009 Edge was not included in the recall.After doing further research I have found that many Ford models from 2007-2014 have had gas tank leak issues. Manufacturer related not customer related damage to the tank. It frightens me to think that something as important as the gas tank should EVER leak because of manufacturer NEGLIGENCE and then when addressed with the dealer, the same dealer that my family has purchased 6 cars from that I would be told it wasnt covered. So when does the recall actually go into effect on a car/part? Does it take us dying or being seriously injured to create a recall on something as serious as a gas tank? I travel with an infant in my backseat 5 days per week and cannot imagine a gas related fire in my car with a baby in a 5 point restraint car seat and being able to get them out safely in an event such as that. I have always purchased my vehicles based on safety ratings first, but I guess the Ford built Edge is a hoax for customers like me.Prior to todays car problems, I had my car into Avis Ford several times for transmissions problems. Gear slippage within the first year of ownership and continuously over the years. They could never find anything wrong with it. The problem got so bad that I took the car to Precision Tune on 8 mile where the Master Mechanic said my transmission was bad, the fluid inside was black and take it to the dealer and I would need a new transmission. I went to the dealer and my car was still under warranty. I showed them the Info from the shop I had just came from. They kept the car a few days, said it was just a leak. They repaired the so called leak and said I did not need a new transmission.Few months pass and I return to the dealer with the same issues and I am no longer under the warranty. Im then given an estimate of $4600.00 worth of transmission related work. I feel like Ive been sold a $ 40,000.00 LEMON and only have 60,000 miles on it. Sadly I will never buy another vehicle from Avis Ford nor suggest anyone I know to either. I have decided to notify the BBB, the NTSB and whatever agencies govern these issues.

Here is what transpired. I called and they confirmed a tow in about an hour. After an hour they called back to inform me that they cannot tow me to a dealership that is closed. On December 25th there are no dealerships open in the country!!! I asked if they could tow me home as courtesy especially since it was Christmas Day. They said, No it is out of policy. FYI the Owners Manual states that roadside assistance is available 24/7. PERIOD! No other rules or exceptions.Bottom line they towed me 3 1/2 hours later to a tow lot in literally the worst part of the city from where I had to make home. Forget the fact that I spent 4 hours of Christmas stranded because of Fords unstated policies, missed most of Christmas with my family and my newborn first grandchild. All Ford showed is that their custom care is a fiction (and possibly a violation of several consumer laws as they do not disclose this to their consumers). Bottom line if you need roadside assistance good luck if you need a tow outside of Dealer Hours. They simply dont care about their customers.

I called the dealership and they said I have Fords roadside assistance so Im covered. However you are only covered up to $100. The catch is Ford will hire a third party vendor to tow or work on your car, in my case, a tow truck. Even though the car had to be towed just $25 miles, the vendor asked for $250+ and Ford obliged. So I was on the hook for $150. Needless to say the entire process is super tedious and infuriating. Most of the service reps behave as if they are doing you a favor by just talking you. Don’t fall for this “service”.

First the car would have problem accelerating. Took it to the shop. They just reprogrammed the transmission. That took care of it for a few months. Next during my oil change I found out that a part with the transmission was leaking so they replaced that. About 2 weeks ago my car was making odd noises and didnt know which gear to use especially at lower speeds, jerked severely when speeding up after a complete stop and wheels would just rotate before actually catching traction (tires are new) so they replaced the clutch. Today my car is there again because it is making a horrible metallic scratching noises when braking, turning or accelerating. They are saying my brake pads worn out (at 20000 miles) and it affected my rotor. So far I am still under factory warranty. If I was not all those repairs would probably cost me as much as the car itself. I dont want to wait till my warranty runs out and have to start dishing out money to repair a car that is still considered relatively new. I want them to replace my car or give me my money back. I am not taking that car back from the Ford service center.

I decided perhaps it was time to give a US company a try and my research suggested Ford the best of them. I got a new Explorer. Explorer seemed like a solid vehicle until at 20k miles it started to suffer some mysterious electrical problem, the worst of which manifests itself by hitting the gas pedal and nothing happens. The revs are there, its just nada between transmission and the engine. It can last a few seconds to a few minutes and when it does finally engage, the car leaps forward similar to what happens when you drop the clutch hard on a manual car.Other things are rear view cam coming on when going forward, cruise control shutting off for no reason etc. Worst, and potentially dangerous is the dead motor thing. Left me dead in the water in an intersection the other day. Brought it to Ford service three times now. First two times, being (apparently) an electrical issue, and an intermittent one at that, of course they couldnt reproduce the problem or fix it. Third time was the charm as I walked the tech out and it did it for him in person, so he confirmed it and said he thought it was electrical vs. a transmission issue. Once they got it in the shop, you guessed it, they could not reproduce it, and no fix.Now Im getting pissed. Many phone calls, etc. later to Ford corporate, them generally doing jack** to help me, etc., they then ask me to bring it in for a 4th time! I said I would, if they would at least tell me what they would happen after #4 visit and no fix: replace the car, let me out of the lease, etc. if after #4 if was not fixed. Their response was we will evaluate that afterward in a good faith review I responded, So if after #4 and nothing is fixed, we go onto #5? They ignored the Q. Seemed pretty reasonable request to me...Hence a total non answer and yet, I should bring it in for #4 with zero commitment from them, so at that point I declined knowing it was a waste of time and all they are doing is trying to wear me down and give up. I have 7 months left on the lease. So, it appears Im stuck with Ford until the lease run out (which is me paying for a defective car), pay the lease off and walk, which is me throwing $ in the toilet on a defective car. And Ford was supposed to be the most reliable of US brands. No wonder we continue to lose market share to the Japanese, etc.

Vehicle has always been well maintained, garaged, and has low mileage of 68,000, but unfortunately Ive been the victim of 3 (so far) well known design flaws that were not covered because I was out of warranty. Each of these has carried a substantial price tag to correct. The first was the fan motor under the dash for heat. It made a loud clanking noise and there was no heat. I was told this was a common problem and the dash had to be pulled and the fan and motor replaced.The next issued appeared shortly after. The back panel just under the back windshield developed a vertical crack - top to bottom close to the center. Dealer told me it was a design flaw and pushing the panel to close in a spot other than center causes this area to flex and crack. Again, well known problem but not covered. (I have since noticed at least 50% of Explorers & Mountaineers I see on the road with a crack that are of this era). Most recently, I have developed rust behind the rear passenger wheel well. I have consulted 2 body shops and they both told me common problem with these models - usually just on one side. Design problem. This is a very expensive problem to fix, especially for a 10 year old vehicle.If not for these apparent common problems, Ive been pretty pleased with my vehicle, but I am very frustrated with Ford that they wont stand behind and repair these things. At 68,000 miles, I would like to continue driving this SUV, but Im afraid what could be next. Ive always bought Ford products, but their unwillingness to stand behind their product concerns me.

Fords CRC asked for clarification as to what the problem was and what we were asking for. I responded three times and never heard back. Sent two letters to William Ford, Jr., Mark Fields, and Frederiek Toney (President, Global Ford Customer Service Division). Guess what? NOT ONE PERSON RESPONDED.....again! Was really ticked off now so on January 12, 2015 I called the number that was in small print underneath the responder from CRCFMC. Another exercise in futility. Spoke with a Debra who advised us: Ford could not and would not extend the service contract. Because Ford had sent monetary compensation for the mpg disparity there was nothing else Ford was going to do. We had waited too long to request an extension (please remember we started this process four months before speaking with Debra). When I asked Debra why there was never any follow-up to my three replies to the CRC emailer, Debra said the 1 800 number is in Florida and the CRC emailer was probably in Michigan. Debra said that essentially there is no coordination between emailing Fords CRC and calling the 1800 number listed in the CRCs email. Isnt that a heck of a way to run a business?So we are done defending Ford when our friends ask us how our FixOrRepairDaily is. We are done buying any Ford, new or used. If we were to win a free car and it turned out to be a Ford we would donate it. In closing, we could have accepted a sorry, it isnt happening to our request of Ford, case over. While cruise was set at 70 mph driving on I-5 in Late October it slowed automatically to about 40 MPH while in right lane as we were approaching a traffic slow down in both lanes. We moved into the left passing lane at about 35 MPH at that time and traffic was starting to slow down when suddenly and surprisingly the Adaptive Cruise Control accelerated violently towards a vehicle in the left lane which was stopping quickly directly in front of us. It was like we were going into warp drive on Star Trek Enterprise with another truck almost stopped right before us! It happened so fast that it seemed hitting the brakes did not slow us down or cancel the cruise control. We had a horrible collision with the truck in front of us at maybe going about 45 to 50MPH causing deployment of the front airbags.It has been so very disappointing that Ford Motor Company did not respond to my appeal on 10/29/2021 to answer our concern when I communicated with the online representative on the Ford Website. The associate I communicated with would not answer my questions or address the issue so I asked for her to forward this concern to her supervisor or manager, which she agreed to. I also called the general Manager at Damerow Ford in Beaverton Oregon and explained the situation. I had ordered the truck through them from the factory. The result was also zero help and guidance also.My auto insurance carrier did not want to address this issue saying that since the personal injury was minor it did not merit them getting involved investigating the possible defect in Fords product. We sustained back and neck injury and are still experiencing pain from the wreck 2 months ago. Also the truck is at a dealer now awaiting repairs and rebuilding. I would like to recommend that to save lives, injury and damage to property that Adaptive cruise control from Ford Motor Company be used with extreme caution until the manufacturer stops ignoring this concern and does their job to protect their customer.

This truck has been a big disappointment from day one. Following is my review... I switched from a 3.5 EcoBoost to a 2.7 EcoBoost in hopes that I would get better mileage. Not only is it worse than the 3.5, the economy readout on the dash is consistently 2.5-3.5 mpg less than the actual mileage. I have Checked every tank since I bought it. The Ford SYNC is a joke. The most user unfriendly system I have encountered. And I leave my iPod connected all the time and never touch it. The radio recognizes it about 50% of the time. I have changed power cords twice thinking there may be a short. But no change. If it was a short it would also affect it while playing. But when it plays it works perfectly. The driver side window does what it wants to sometimes. It may go down when you want it up. Or vice versa. The structural rigidity of this truck is nothing like my 2014. It jiggles and shakes like a 1981 Pontiac when on uneven pavement. The worst gas filler ever! Every time I lock the fuel nozzle on and wait for it to fill up, it clicks off the nozzle like its supposed to, but you better not be standing behind it! Almost every fill up dumps a quart of gas all over the ground. The driver door speaker is already buzzing and vibrating. The coating in the bed is useless. Its like a sheet of greasy ice. Everything slides all over the bed, so I have to lock it down. I have yet to figure out how the trailer back up assist works. For the amount of money this truck costs, Ford really screwed up on this one. I will be looking elsewhere soon. Id like to have my 2014 back.

Water gets trap in between the mounts and within a couple of years youre leaking gas because its all rust. A lot of people dont know this. Even the cops because theyre still driving these cars. Ford messed up on this one.

The transmission also leaked fluid beginning at 20k miles. Rear hatch mechanism failed twice under warranty. Now that out of warranty and failed again, they refuse to cover. Cannot open rear hatch. Rear window exploded on freeway in snowstorm. Nothing touched it.Rear defrost was not running, only the rear wiper. Computer has shut down twice now and caused all of the dummy lights to come on when driving. Problem is intermittent and I am told there is nothing that can be done. I am beyond upset and frustrated and cannot believe that I cannot even get so much as a phone call back from the warranty department of ford corporate. Going to try to blast them everywhere I can and plan to go over options with lawyer this Friday.

And for a company the size of Ford to sit and do nothing, well thats just unacceptable to me. I am 100% interested in anyones class action lawsuit that they may put together, and I’ll make sure I spread the word in any forum, car boats or the like about the ongoing problem with FORD MOTOR COMPANY. I also found that they had very limited empathy to the fact that my car was so significantly impacted by a clear manufactory issue that I almost got into a significant accident and was fearful for my life while driving it recently.My car first experienced the shudder after a year of driving it. It was attempted to be fixed in February 2017 for the exact issue. The problem subsided for awhile, and then gradually came back. The first dealership that tried to fix the issue was All American Ford in Old Bridge, NJ. The people here were competent and were helpful, because they were reimbursed by Ford for their service.The shudder returned of course. I went to a Ford dealership in Lakewood, NJ. Called Larsen Ford to see if they could look at the continuing issue. The service advisor Dave ** who I met with didn’t greet me. Another employee said hello and acknowledged me. Told me to sit in front of Dave. I sat in front of Dave, who didn’t even look at me while he was on his computer. After, I guess looking into my VIN number finally addressed I was sitting there in front of him. Discussed with me that I had no available warranty on my car in regards to the transmission clutch shudder issue, and then stated that it might not be transmission clutch shudder issue without even looking at my car. I felt he didn’t even discuss or look at my car because he knew it wasn’t going to be reimbursed by Ford. He also made me feel like I lacked intelligence, probably because I am a woman and acted like I knew nothing in regards to the car’s issue when in fact it’s hard not to know since Ford is currently being sued for the issue. I quickly left there.In between finding another dealership to help fix the problem, my car was completely affected by the transmission clutch shudder issue. It was terrifying driving it while this Accord, and a giant truck almost plowed into me, because the car jerked forward and back with acceleration and also when braking. It was brought to All American Ford in Point Pleasant, NJ where it is currently sitting because Ford does not want to take responsibility for their poor design manufacturing issue by placing a clutch system that burns off. My car is not currently being worked on, because Ford states that only certain cars can receive the extended warranty under the Customer Satisfaction Program 14M01 - Supplement #6.The customer “satisfaction” program has not satisfied this customer. In trying to reach out to your customer care representatives was even worse than dealing with the dealerships. I spoke to multiple representatives who had a difficult time understanding my English pronunciation and each told me different things: 3/15/19 - Jane told me that when requesting to speak with a supervisor it was pointless, because they will tell me the same thing. She was also unable to tell me exactly why my car was not covered under the warranty hence why I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She did note to request a supervisor to contact me in a business day.3/18/19 - I did not receive a phone call from a supervisor, so I called back again. I spoke with a John who told me that a supervisor placed a call however he couldn’t tell me when or what number so that I could make sure to answer. No supervisor of course was available. I asked to make a FM360 claim, he said only a supervisor could do that. Requested a supervisor to call me back. In addition, told me that dealerships can talk to Ford corporation in regards to reimbursement of warranty funds. 3/19/19 - A supervisor called me at 7:00 pm, however I was eating dinner with family after a long day at work.3/20/19 - Spoke to Gail a supervisor who informed me that the warranty is not covered for me because my car was made in October 2013 not in June 2013 (only a couple months later). I expressed my concerns since its the same exact transmission clutch shudder issue attempted to be fixed the first time, and why are only certain lucky Ford owners experiencing the same issue the only ones privileged to be reimbursed. In addition, she informed me that previous representatives could have filed a FM360 claim even though they told me a supervisor could. I also asked why the TMZ module is covered, however the clutches aren’t. She could not answer that question. She kept on repeating herself, talking over me in a scripted manner, and did not address my specific questions. I requested to speak to another supervisor other than Gail, and she denied my request. I kept on clarifying her statements and requesting for her to note to speak to another supervisor in case they had other information. In short, she denied my request and hung up on me.Ford has not rectified their design manufacturing mistake and would like to make their customers pay out of pocket for their error. I have a car that is not even 5 years old in which I have to pay $2000 for. I have paid for new tires, oil changes, and checks. I have made sure my car is updated on my end. My car is not driveable and I have to spend every day speaking to your employees who don’t want to help. In addition, due to research and speaking with Ford dealerships the problem will still continue even if the clutches are replaced.Ford has a responsibility to their customers and to keep them safe. They have designed and made unsafe vehicles and are unwilling to help out ALL of their customers. I hoping that someone will be in contact with me in regards to my issue. I am requesting that my current Ford dealership be reimbursed for the clutches. I am told that even if they replace the TMZ module, the car will not drive without the clutches being replaced. Someone needs to rectify the issue.

The salesman I corresponded with was nice at first as we discussed my purchasing a used vehicle. The vehicle had a knocking noise in the rear but the salesman said the shop mechanics would find out what it was and let me know. I then agreed to purchase the vehicle for $11K contingent on the noise being fixed. They wrote up the deal with all the costs. I explained I would be out of town for a week and wanted to put money down to lock in the sale. The salesman said management would not allow me to put money down on the vehicle until they fixed the noise, but assured me the vehicle is yours and that they would keep it off the sales lot. After continuing to refuse to take a down payment they would only allow me to take picture of the write up, all while assuring me they would not sell the vehicle and that we had a deal. During the week that I was out of town the salesman called to let me know the noise was fixed. I asked him how much I could put down on the vehicle, to which he responded he had to ask his manager, but would call me back. After two days went by with no return call, I called the salesman with no answer so I left a voicemail asking him to return my call. He never returned this call either. After returning to town I went directly to the dealership from the plane to pick up the vehicle. The salesman informed me that he was called out of town for a family emergency and the vehicle was sold. I responded with we had a deal written on paper and that he assured me the vehicle was mine and no longer on the sales lot! The salesman said some other buyer paid $13K ($2K more than my deal) so they sold the vehicle. Then the salesman had the nerve to say, well I have other vehicles available. This location obviously deceived me and is more interested in making money than being honest with their customers.

2011 Crown Victoria - At 40K miles the vent control module stopped working. At the same time the cigarette lighter and 12 volt accessory plug started experiencing intermittent power failures. I had the dealer check out both problems and they said it would cost $1000 to replace the vent control module (plenum) and air box. They could not find any electrical problems with the cigarette lighter and accessory plug.I had my mechanic replace the plenum and air box for $850. Parts were $350 and the Ford dealer had 20 plenums and air boxes in stock. Seems Ford knows there is a problem with these units and they keep plenty in stock. Its a quick money maker for them it seems. Electrical problem - I tested the cigarette lighter and found that there was a problem with the ground wire. I removed the drink tray to get to the wiring and discovered that ground wires had been connected using a flat wire connector. Over time the wires were so flattened by the connector that they had broken off. I removed the flat connector and re-connected the wires using a standard round crimp connector. Problem solved.The Crown Victorias have been produced by Ford for over 10 years and you would assume that most problems would have been resolved during that time. Unfortunately, it seems that Ford keeps using cheap parts in their vehicles and the owners of these vehicles will constantly be on the hook for repairs. No wonder ford sales continue to decline.

The letter stated that parts are not currently available and are anticipated to be available in the 2nd Quarter of 2012 and replacement of the torque converter will be free of charge (parts and labor). On 5/4/12, I lost acceleration on my 2005 Freestar (VIN **) and I towed it 30 miles back home. After contacting service manager, **, at Valley Ford Lincoln dealership, I towed my van there for repairs on 5/7/12. The service manager called after inspection to tell me that my transmission break down had nothing to do with the recall part. He quoted me $1,500 to break it down to determine the needed repair and further cost to repair it. I then had it towed to Century Transmission (421 E St, Lemoore, CA 93245; 559-925-8853) where it was repaired for the cost of $2,091. The owner, Raul, informed me that the torque converter had worn splines and was indeed the needed repair. The receipt and part were taken back to service manager, who consulted his technician, **. Upon inspecting the part, technician stated that the part was shot and that the repair cost was not bad and that they would have charged at least that much. The service manager said he would use my receipt to see if I could get some if any of my money back.When the owner, Jack Keller, was contacted, he indicated that I would not get reimbursed for the repair because I should have had it towed back to Ford for repair even though I was told it was not the covered part. In addition to not trusting Ford to be honest at that point, it would have been my 4th tow and I would still have owed Century for labor. I have the original receipt and the removed torque converter in my possession for needed inspection and proof that the splines are worn and the torque converter is bad. I would like to be reimbursed for the cost of repair to my transmission ($2,091).

Then you make sure it has all the options that are needed for your likings. Loaded out, Lariat plow package and all the goodies. So you break the bank and go thru with the purchase and get it home. Get the new Boss plow set up all done and go out for the first plow of the season in November and you get a clicking relay in the dash. Well come to find out after plowing for a little bit it seems to get worse. Then all of a sudden your radio and heater goes off for a few seconds. Then it does it again five more time. Then the whole dash and electrical system goes down for approx. 2 minutes. So the following day I start calling Ford and dont get anywhere other than take it to the dealer. So I do that and they tell me there is nothing wrong. So this has been going on since Nov 25th. Well Ive had it at the dealer 5 times and then I find out that Ford is producing truck that states you have a plow prep package on them and you cant plow with them without getting a power spiking issue which causes the BCM to shut all the required electronics to shut down. So my bitch is how can Ford knowingly sell a truck as a plow truck and have all these problems. And after contacting Ford customer relations Im not any farther than I was in November. Ford has known about this problem since the 2014 model and still will not take any responsibility for fixing these problems. My advice is to check out the options on the vehicle and make sure there isnt and hidden notices where something cant be used properly. This a safety recall if I have ever seen one.

Because it was within 60k miles, I took it to their service center. They said they created ROI but couldnt do anything until a service light came on. It felt unsafe to drive but I did continue driving, the service light came on when it downshifted too far and red lined. I took video and picture of this within the vehicle, but the light shut off before I could get back to them. They claimed they couldnt recover the code, but they did have my picture proving light had been on. They also drove vehicle and confirmed the mechanical issue I experienced. This is all documented, but both the dealership and Ford is unwilling to service vehicle to satisfaction and now vehicle falls outside warranty mileage. I have all invoice documentation and pictures proving this, and Ford also said they cant fix vehicles without service light. This all took place over the course of 6 weeks or so, not years or even months. They are avoiding their warranty obligation.Shortly after, the service light came on and Ford confirmed what I already new, Transmission issues. Even though I reported the issue within warranty with ROI invoice created, Ford refuses to pay full cost of repair because light didnt stay on until just outside of warranty miles. This is definitely deceptive and probably illegal to not cover the repair, which is why Ford is offering to cover less than half. However, I would never recommend purchasing from Ford again as they dont back their warranties. Its unfortunate as Ive been a Ford owner of new vehicles for years, but I cant recommend anymore. Quality control and lack of Warranty consistency has hurt this once great American Brand.

Yesterday driving home with a trailer full of horses I experienced what has been known as THE FORD DEATH WOBBLE. We were driving around 65mph on a four line highway when we hit a small dip in the road. The wheels on the front end felt like they were coming off the truck, braking made it worse. We pulled over and when we slowed to around 5mph it went away. I called Ford customer service to file a complaint and they were HORRIBLE. I requested a supervisor and was told none was available. I then called the national highway safety board and filed a complaint and got a case number. I then checked the internet and found 2000 plus complaints. Same issue. Ford acts like I was the only one with this issue. For the $80,000.00 I sure you could by a Dodge or Chevy that will not have this issue. SO DISAPPOINTED. We have owned over 20 trucks in our history and have never run into such a poor customer service experience as with Ford Customer Service.

I tried to accelerate and it would not increase speed. I was able to get off the road safely. I had to have my car towed. The mechanic determined that the problem was due to a faulty power train control module which impacts the ignition coils and the estimated cost of repair is $2100! One of my ignition coils was melted. Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (which suggests replacing the power train control module & all 6 ignition coils) on this issue; however, they do not deem this a safety issue! Cars that just stop running or decelerate quickly is most definitely a safety issue. I can think of many scenarios where this issue could cause injury or perhaps even death. Had I been on a freeway or driving at a greater speed where there was more traffic, I could certainly have ended up in an accident with another vehicle. I researched this concern and found that I am not alone and there have many others affected by the same exact situation. Ford is of the opinion that this should be the responsibility of the car owner and they do not hold themselves accountable. I understand how warranties work and I realize that cars age. However, this issue has nothing to do with wear and tear or age. This is a faulty piece of equipment that is causing a safety issue when it hampers a vehicles ability to continue in a forward motion at a normal rate of speed. Ford Motor Company should issue a safety recall...not just a technical service bulletin.

I stopped and NO ONE could tell me what was wrong. Again, no warning lights yet. We stay overnight there and the next morning when I tried to start the truck an engine light came on. I immediately took it two miles down the road and had it hooked up to a diagnostic machine. Again, no one could tell me exactly what was wrong and could only guess as to what it was.The truck was running fine at this point. I had to get the truck looked at and the only place open on a holiday weekend was a 24 hour garage, the problem was it was about 30 minutes away. I tried to get it there but it started blowing a lot of smoke and got loud. We had it towed and had to wait two days for a Ford dealer to look at it because the tow truck operator didnt trust the 24 hour garage, in fact I found out they had bad reviews also. Anyway, once Ford opened and diagnosed the truck, they said that the Glow Plug had melted in half and fell into the engine causing catastrophic damage to the engine. I couldnt believe this! I told them how everything happened and the guy said that by the time the light came on the engine had probably been already damaged to the point to where it now needs to be replaced!I paid 13,000 for the truck and I am being told I need 17,000 to replace the whole engine now. I called the Ford Motor Company and told then the same thing but they said that because of the age of the truck there was nothing they could do to help me! Not even give me a loan to get it fixed. I was desperate and NO ONE was willing to help get my truck fixed. You would think a Corporation like Ford would take a little responsibility in what happened here! No lights came on before the engine was apparently damaged beyond repair!!

Well, on Sunday, Sept. 30th, they came and repossessed the vehicle, in which Ford is not open on Sundays. So, I called the lady back on Monday, Oct. 1st and asked why the vehicle was repossessed. She stated the payment had not posted. I explained that I had sent it in. She was the rudest and most hateful person I have ever spoken to at Ford. I asked her if I could talk to a supervisor and she said no. I told her I had sent the money and wanted my vehicle returned to me and she said too bad the only way was to pay Ford an additional $350.94 plus the repo fee. She would not even tell me exactly where the vehicle was. She stated it was none of my business and I did not have the right to know where my vehicle was taken. I do know the vehicle was taken to North Carolina and I live in South Carolina which is about 100 miles from me. The letter also states failure to remit the settlement amount or contact Ford may result in further collection activity, nothing about repossession which I think according to South Carolina Law, the consumer must be notified of repossession and the consumer has 20 days to pay the debt. I was not even given that courtesy. My husband worked for Ford for over 10 years and we have purchased over 15 vehicles over the years. As far as I am concerned, I will never buy another Ford as long as I live!

Otherwise they could have pried the lock and got into my vehicle. This handle is used on 2011 - 2017 models, part number 78218A14. This piece of plastic cost $68.50 plus tax. It is poorly made. They wanted a fortune to install it so we are taking it to a body shop who will install it for $30. Be aware that they change prices on you from one day to the next. We were quoted $68.50 on Friday and then on Tuesday they wanted $75. Ford used to be my favorite car manufacturer, but is not anymore. This vehicle has a lousy paint job that Ford would not stand behind, issues with the battery, and seat belt problems.

I ended up I king up my car. Now over two months later the part is finally in. The big kicker. Ford REFUSES to get me a rental for that fix. So now Im stuck finding a way to and from work on a Monday. I will never ever work with Ford again. I then told them that I record all of my calls and have pictures of the gas tank resting on the shield that doesnt come standard on the F150. That is the only reason the tank didnt hit the road and cause an accident. In the pics you can see that there are no straps left. I also have a video of gas leaking out when putting gas into the vehicle. So I have tons of proof you just lied to me. The service tech said he had to talk with his manager and they would call us back. The manager said they called Ford and they will not be fixing my gas tank. I dont believe this is right and will be filing a complaint with the NHTSA.

I am very upset to the point where I am in the midst of contacting the Better Business Bureau and posting a blog online regarding your company lack of integrity and manner of doing business. In November, my 2010 Ford Edge which is currently financed through your company caught on fire due to an ABS issue. I bought the vehicle as a used vehicle in 2013. I contacted my local dealership to report the problem. It took them 7 days before someone contacted me regarding a diagnosis of the problem. The car was towed but someone failed to address the issue. I was initially told it was my issue. Coincidentally, I went online and found out that that there was an issue and there was a recall at which point someone decided that they will look into the matter. The service department decided that they would begin repair on the vehicle. I was given a rental while the repair were to be done.First, the service repair advisor was incompetent as I had been calling everyday to get a status of the vehicle and each time I was told that they are working on it or the parts was not in. Your record would also reflect every time I made a phone call and spoke to someone, even calls made to your corporate headquarters. I was even assured that because of the situation everything would be handled. What I fail to understand that why it took almost 5 weeks for a part to come in. Its a Ford vehicle part, should be readily accessible. It is not an older model vehicle so what was the issue here?Here is where I am really pissed off with this whole situation. My mom went in today to get her vehicle oil changed. Note, hers is 2014 Edge as well. I relayed my concern to her and she decided to find out exactly what was going on. Ironically, what my mom was told that is the they can pick the car up today. How coincidental? She asked about the rental and was told that they were only covered for 10 days. Well, that is not acceptable or reasonable. We had no control on how long it would have taken to repair the vehicle. Why should we be penalized with a $1500.00 bill when nothing that occurred was within our control. Ford Motor Company was in total control of this situation from beginning to end and we are now receiving the ** end of this situation by being held hostage to pay a $1500.00 rental bill which I dont have especially this time of the year.Your local dealership was less than accommodating and did nothing within their power to expedite the repair of the vehicle. This was I believe the company did in order to recoup the cost of repairing the vehicle. They held on to the vehicle for as long as they could. The prolonged the process, which increased the cost of the rental, which was deceitful and as unprofessional. Your company is not a small mom and pop repair shop. You are a major company and should have pride and integrity in the way you do business. My mom has been a valued Ford customer for over 20 years. Every vehicle she has ever owned was a Ford vehicle. This has left us and her very dissatisfied with your company and your business practice. I still feels that we can come to some amicable agreement. As I said before, I am between a rock and a hard place as I have no other choice because I will need my vehicle especially since I am one vehicle home currently since I also I have another Ford vehicle that is also down because of needed repairs.I close with this statement - I am a very unhappy and dissatisfied customer. I am also not going to roll over and let this slide. Based on how this turns on it is my intent to take further action on this matter. I do intend to post pictures on the Internet of the vehicle. It may cost me $1500.00 but in the long run when I am done it will cost the company more based on reviews I will post online and providing feedback and reviews for this vehicle and your company as a whole. Looking forward to hearing from you. I would rate lower than a 1 star. Unfortunately it does not go lower than a 1.

I like that the Mercury Villager has removable seats which makes it very easy for me to put my youngest daughter in and out of the vehicle and that it has a security system that can keep my car safe. However, the automatic windows in the back and also the front drivers window does not fully want to work all the time. That has been the biggest problem that I have been recently facing and kind of wished they would have stuck with manual windows. I would also make it where the back was bigger to put more stuff like groceries in the trunk.

First gas mileage, was told it would get 28-30 mpg, actual gas mileage was 22.8 mpg. The radiator fans went out at less than 10k miles, under warranty ford fixed the fan. I was in Houston and live 120 miles away, would not give a rental car. I own a chevrolet and the dealer in louisiana always provided a rental with warranty work. Now my door ajar light in on and they say the switch is bad. There are no recalls on it, but people are trying to get it recalled. It has happened so much. Now it has 44k miles and it will have to be fixed out of my pocket. I have extended warranty but it is 250 ded.

I advised them that they call everyday and sometimes 5x a day but when I call, you have a problem. The representative Theresa and Kimberly ** are very ghetto and unprofessional. Just because they hate their job doesnt mean they have to treat their customers like dog **! Im very unhappy with this company. I would advise anyone considering this company to please reconsider and go with a private financing car dealership because its the same thing!
