The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning got a price, we drove the 2023 Nissan Z, and Honda teased the 2023 Pilot. It's the Week in Reverse, right here at Motor Authority. Ford announced details of the 2023 F-150 Lightning. The base price will increase $7,000 over the 2022 model year and range will get boosted by 10 miles with the big battery pack in base form. Ford said the price increase is due to "significant material cost increases and other factors" to justify the 17.5% upcharge. Our spy photographer spotted the 2024 Kia EV9 electric three-row crossover SUV undergoing track testing. The production car appears to feature similar styling as the striking EV9 concept car. The Telluride-sized crossover SUV will arrive for the 2024 model year. Senior producer Joel Feder spent a long weekend living with the 2023 Nissan Z and compared it to the family's Z32 300ZX. While not perfect, the new Z exceeds expectations by pulling cool elements from the past, integrating the latest technology, and addressing the major issues with the 370Z. The Meyers Manx 2.0 Electric debuted to bring the dune buggy back for the EV era. With up to 300 miles of range from a 40-kwh battery pack, two electric motors powering the rear wheels, and the ability to sprint from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, the modern Manx makes the dune buggy exciting again. The 2023 Honda Pilot was teased in TrailSport form. The Pilot will mark the second vehicle in the Honda lineup to get the off-road-inspired TrailSport treatment, which will give the three-row crossover SUV a slightly lifted ride height, a redesigned fascia, different wheel patterns, and unique interior accents. Serious off-road modifications won't be on the table.

Ford says that MyKey is a safety feature and added security. When enabled, your keys are limited by speed and music volume. However, if you somehow get both keys set as MyKey, there is nothing undo feature that the customer can do, except take the car to the dealership, and pay between $150 and $300 dollars to have this reset. I called Ford consumer complaints and asked them to pay for this, since their faulty system caused the problem, and was told no, and there was no one else to talk to at Ford to get this done. It is way too easy to do this by mistake, and then you are locked out of your enjoyment and use of the car you purchased. Basically, a Ford customer is not worth $150 to keep them happy. I will never buy from Ford again.

In 2005 my husband I purchased a 2000 Ford Windstar with 95,000 miles on it. Keep good upkeep on it. Blew a head gasket, as did two friends who owned Windstars. Owned a 1989 Areostar, motor blew. Bought 1999 Aerostar, lots of issues. Bought a 2005 Ford Taurus this past Nov. Rear suspension problems, left rear body was rubbing the tire. Had the struts replaced on both rear, but the left is still rubbing the tire on even small bumps so, I guess we will be replacing the springs. Any time I slow down on the highway, I cant get back to speed fast all all. It bogs down. If I press more on the gas it chugs like it going to die. Have to gradually pick up speed then I feel it kick in and go, then its fine til I have to slow down again. In town it sputters and chugs, surges. I bought this car thinking it would be safer than the 99 Aerostar...but I am scared in both vehicles now. Throwing money into them left and right. I know old cars are gonna have problems but this is unreal. I am still paying the 05 Taurus off. I keep saying each time we go get a new vehicle, I am not ever buying another Ford, I want a Chevy. But it is hard to find lower priced Chevys used because people seem to keep them forever. Fords are everywhere, so I keep buying other peoples headaches. Now I must replace all the springs on the 05, in fear of killing my grandson that is only 4 years old. I have finally established credit with my bank on this one and as soon as its paid off, Im getting a loan for a Chevy that I know I can trust and getting rid of this headache. Never a Ford again! Its pretty sad that I have a 96 Old Cutlass that I hit a big pregnant black angus at night at 65 miles per hour and still runs and drives better than any of the others.

I brought my 2011 Fusion in Freeway Ford-Bloomington, MN on 5/12/15. My driver side door would not open from the inside. The door handle assembly was broken. I have no complaints about the way the dealership did business. They were courteous, professional, and upfront about the whole repair. I have a problem with the fact that the car is less than 5 years old, and the door handle assembly breaks, and it is not covered under warranty? I spent $242.00 for the repair. I dont believe that this is something that I was at fault for misusing.

May of 2012 we purchased a brand new Ford f150. Less than 2 years later (before 50000 miles) we noticed the check engine light and airbag light came on. Took it in and got charged to do diagnostic test $75 with a warranty. Ford told us someone has to get paid for the work. Results were a fuel sensor. Our gauges are off. We can have a full tank of gas and it says empty and even alarms us. We can be driving and put the truck in neutral, turn it off and on and it will then give a reading. The check engine light is not always on and same with the airbag. Never got a reason for the airbag. The Ford mechanic claims there are no problems. We even had an experience once while driving we noticed smoke coming from under the drivers seat and smelled a hot smell. We pulled over to check it out and it stopped and we found nothing wrong or signs of burning. We feel ripped off and with the mechanics claiming nothing is wrong (when we know there is). We feel cheated and endangered.

Ford Flex SE 4dr Crossover 2013 car and I am experiencing for the 2nd time a door ajar issue. I fixed one door already and now a 2nd door is having the issue. Not a big problem but it triggers the alarm to go off randomly. And of course it goes off in the middle of the night 2 am, 5 am, its 3 nights in a row!!! I chatted with Ford and they took my feedback and ignored my issue. Online there are tons people experiencing this issue and Ford does not care or do a recall or fix it!!! WOW. Such terrible service. I have been a Ford driver for 30 years but this will be my last Ford!!!

My wife and I bought a 2012 Ford Flex limited with 42k miles in July of 2015 due to expecting twin babies. Well, it hasnt even been a full year and only 13k miles later and we are already having to spend $1100 on replacing the rack and pinion. Ive owned a BUNCH of vehicles in my life so far with FAR more miles than this and never had to have anything major replaced like this. I am disgusted at the reliability of this vehicle especially on how much it cost in the first place. I will NEVER buy a Ford again. There are too many other options out there.

The 2016 Ford Fiesta is a great first car for my twenty year old daughter. It is dependable, and I love the color and the shiny blue really stands out. I bought it new from a Ford dealership and they were amazing and answered all of our questions. My daughter fell in love with the car at the dealership and I felt she would be safe driving it. I also purchased a bumper to bumper warranty and I have never had to use it even once. I really love the car. However, it doesnt have much power to get up and go. The only thing that could make it better is if it had a built in GPS and if the price was cheaper.

Defective Sunroof issue in 2015-2017 models - Warranty expired & about 2 month after that I left my vehicle out & it rained heavily. I found water dripping near the framework on the passenger side, between the windshield & door. The floor mat was full of water. I dumped it out - tried to dry out the carpet. It was so saturated I couldnt get it all out. Then when driving it I actually heard swooshing sounds when I came to stops. Meanwhile I thought it was some fluke or the bad rainstorm. Then when we washed @ the Morries Ford car wash, we noticed it again. So we looked online & sure enough there were many others who reported the same or similar issues. Meanwhile mold had developed & Morries said I did have the defective part/sunroof. Filed a claim & the best Ford will do is only cover Half the cost to replace their defective sunroof. I am going to file a complaint with our Atty. General. I paid once for this feature when I bought it brand new. I should not have to pay for it again due to it being a defective sunroof. Morries tried cover up this issue also when I first reported it to them. Lying to me saying someone vandalized my vehicle by removing all the weather stripping on the roof. Theres not any on the roof on any of the Ford trucks where this service advisor tried to point out. Very disgusted.

We own a 2016 Ford eco boost F150 truck. At 20000 miles it had a catastrophic engine failure. The spark plug went into the piston which went into the head and destroyed it. We had it repaired at a Ford garage and after 3 weeks picked it up and on the way home from Alabama to Pennsylvania it failed on the interstate with major engine failure. At the time we were towing a trailer and used road side assist. We paid out of our pocket because they said we had to and have yet to be reimbursed even though they say we are approved and should never have had to pay ourselves. The truck had been repaired with zip ties and they did not hold and the fuel rail let fuel go over where and 6 heads needed replaced. We were told it was lucky we didn’t have a fire. We are asking for a buy back but we can’t get a response and none of our expenses have been paid. We were traveling and had hotel bills and rental vehicles as the parts for the first repair were not available. Disappointed in Ford.

My Ford 500 has been at the Ford dealership in MA since November 17 (almost 2 months). I am told it has a transmission problem. The entire transmission needs to be replaced because CVT is not repairable. However, Ford is out of stock. They provided a Hertz rental for a month but today they called and said they will not cover the rental and have no answer when they will have the part! How can you sell a car and not provide parts? How can they just dump a customer who has been loyal to them for 32 years?

I am embarrassed to say that I have continued to purchase Ford products through the years even though they have proven to be poorly manufactured. Well I have finally learned my lesson. Never again will I purchase a Ford vehicle. Some examples, Explorer 30,000 miles cracked engine block, Excursion 52,000 miles transmission failure, Expedition tailgate paint bubbling off (they all do), Raptor 50,000 miles garage kept. A hole rusted through the bed (common).Fords response to all of these defects Drop Dead. If you wish to experience the absolute worst imaginable customer service call (800) 392-3673. I honestly felt as though they were mentally challenged so I escalated the case first to Matt ** never replied then Phill badge # ** big zero then Brian badge # ** bigger zero and finally the head supervisor Rose ** whom I would best describe her as robotic nit wit unable to respond beyond cookie cutter prepared answers. As a small business owner I purchase multiple vehicles annually as well as personal vehicles so over the course of the last 35 years I have purchased more than 100 new vehicles. The majority of which were Fords. In 2017 alone F350 $50,000.00, A Expedition EL $70,000 and most recently a Raptor $70,000.00. So I hope Mr. Ford reads this and terminates each and every one of the inept, indifferent individuals at Ford who misrepresent themselves as a customer service department.

Due to past help with constructing the PeaceNet a small International Network; that ultimately turned into the Internet, I can do things most people cannot. The e-mail explains the problems I am having with a Ford Escape. It is a new car with less than a thousand miles on it that is viewed as a deathtrap. Even more problems have come up by research that make the situation even worse. Every time the word Ford comes down the Internet, I am sent the e-mail address. Other words in the e-mail such as purchase can be used to define the list. I have amassed the e-mails of thousands of people that are considering purchasing something from Ford. The Ford resolution department has tried to solve the problem by giving me the X-Plan pricing. The problem is that I would purchase a Ford Edge which is a much safer car and I can get my wife and family to ride in. I have not been able to make a deal on an Edge even though I have the reduced pricing on the Edge because I cannot get the zero percent 72 month financing like I have on the Escape. I am 75 years old, my wife and I live on Social Security and have a house that has expenses plus living expenses that happen even though the house is paid for. I have a credit rating of 815. I live as economically as possible; no extra anything and never go to restaurants or any kind of entertainment. However, a large car payment does not fit into the budget. 72 month or 84 month would be ideal. I have had the Escape repaired at the finest body shop around and carries a lifetime guarantee on the work. Everybody at Ford Resolution is telling me I have to go to Ford Finance for the longer terms. I am going to lose money on the trade in even though it has only three digit miles on it. I have tried to get Ford to take the car back and they will not. Their resolution is that they give me a low price on the purchase, but the dealers will not give me the same finance arrangement. So I am appealing to Ford Finance. There are dealers in the far North area of Chicago that have longer Zero percent financing. I dont know if they use Ford Financing or not. Purchasing a car at a dealer 80 miles away makes no sense. If I cannot make a deal at a price and financing, then I must do my e-mail campaign. I am ready to send thousands of e-mails everyday to people around the world telling them the five points that I have found, as an Engineer by trade, that makes this car dangerous and risky to drive. I go into great detail about this. I have nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I would not let one of them ride in the rear area of this Ford Escape. The way that glass rear window just exploded after the accident is real scary. Glass came up into the front area like it was a bullet. It is my duty as a responsible citizen to do this.

I was hit with a 2015 Dodge journey on the passenger side. The speed I was hit it wasnt for that much damage, the truck couldnt take it as it should, it bent the frame. The truck was totalled, and the Dodge journey only had minor damage on the front corner driver side. The plastic cover and the hood bent on the corner and some plastic parts totally repairable. Part unavailable for my 2015 F-350. I purchased this truck in April of this year. It is a King Ranch. Shortly after picking up the truck a couple of warning lights came on. Took it back to the dealership and was told it needs a RCM Harness which was currently unavailable. The truck was still in warranty so I left it with the dealership awaiting a part. That was April 19, 2019. The truck is still there and there is no ETA on this part. Ford customer service has sent me an email regularly saying there is no idea when this will be available. In the meantime I have a brand new camper (5th wheel) and no way to use it. I have been told this is not uncommon for this model and I wonder why it is taking so long for a part to be available. I feel Ford as well as the dealership should offer some serious compensation for this as the previous owner traded it due to this problem (he told me) and the dealership did not disclose it however Ford has not addressed the issue.

The automobile is a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria Police Intercepter with a 4.6 liter engine with aluminum heads. While traveling down a very long hill at 60 mph, I heard an explosion and then a much louder engine noise. Upon investigation, found a spark plug sitting on top the engine and coil broken completely from the mounting screw. I began a massive rabbit trail into the cause of the failure and the various repair methods. It appears this is a universal failure due to a faulty engineering design that resulted in only a few aluminum threads holding in a steel spark plug. The aluminum is over stressed and fractures from the enormous repetitive shock on the scant threads that hold back all the pressure cycles. I believe that the cover up goes all the way back to the first year or two. The dealership mechanics must be ordered to claim they have never heard of this problem, because all the non-dealer mechanics all know about it. Hundreds, if not thousands of victims to this dangerous design flaw are suddenly stranded or left in life threatening situations such as an engine on fire, stuck in the winter or desert heat. The factory requires a head replacement. There are cheap tap and helo type springs to make a temporary repair, but a kit such as Calvan 38900 or an ATD 5400 Triton kit for $250 can possibly make a semi permanent repair, if you have air tools, cylinder blow out and inspection tools, and know how to lower the cylinder and close the valves before the procedure. So I got a chase tap, it cleaned the threads but the spark plugs still will not go into the engine head. Since this is an enormous problem for consumer and for Ford, a compromise should be for the Ford Manufacturing Company to at least pay for the job to remove all the plugs, install the ATD 5401s in each cylinder professionally, after first blowing all the shavings out of the cylinder after the drilling and tapping the new oversize threads. I personally am older and in disability and am in a bad situation. Do I invest in the tools and kit ($800 or so) or do I just look for a Toyota or other quality car to replace the Ford junk? In any case, Ford Motor Company should recall all the aluminum blocks with this serious defect. They had full knowledge and could have recalled within a couple of years, but instead chose to cover it up. Now we the people are supposed to foot the bill? Replace my heads with ones that cant blow out spark plugs or replace the engine with steel heads.

Purchased a used Ford Freestyle 2007 model. Leather sunroof, six-disc CD changer, third-row seats with 50k miles. After my PT cruiser started going dead from a Turnersville Kia dealership in NJ. I experienced no issues with the car at first. At 160,000 miles the vehicle begin doing things like jerking while Im driving and its accelerating forward when my foot was not on the accelerator. I was told it was due to a dirty throttle body. Within three months of this happening on my way home from work on the highway, the vehicle all of a sudden would not accelerate after stopping in traffic. I had the car towed and was told by a trusted mechanic it was my transmission. Every other mechanic I took the car to get a second opinion also said that exact thing, it is the transmission. Apparently the type of transmission Ford put in this car (SVT) not only sucks in regards to quality but also is incredibly difficult to rebuild or to put a new one in. My total cost to put in a new transmission would be somewhere around $6000, the car is only worth $3000. It sits in the driveway right now. I will never again buy another Ford.

I just traded my 2013 Edge to get the new and improved 2015 Edge... Have the EcoBoost 4 cylinder in both and the 2015 improvement on the motor is great but the rest I am not impressed. It came with the cheap mats Ford installs and so I ordered the all weather mats for another 95.00 only to find the driver mat doesnt even go up under the pedals where most of the crud falls off... Whats up with that Ford. I sure some DS blamed his accident on a pedal catching on the mat. Next the driver seat is terrible uncomfortable with the seat portion bolster way higher than the seat so I carry my weight on the outside of my thighs. I am not a huge guy at 5-9 190 either... Other complaint is they shrunk the controls behind the steering wheel and I find them more difficult to use. They are quieter inside but overall I wish I had my trade money back and still driving my 2013 Edge... Not really any improvement overall in my book. I will be looking for something else in a couple years for sure.

The transmission on my daughters 2008 Ford Fusion AWD was diagnosed as bad with 85k on it which required a new one (the internal part was not serviceable) to be installed at a cost approx $5k (she was away at college and all contact with the service dept was via phone). The PTU (the mechanism that transfers the power to the back wheels) was removed from the bad trans and installed on the new one, but the dealership failed to replace $20 worth of seals that Fords service manual requires done when any time the PTU is removed. Now a leak from these internal seals has appeared. To repair the leak, almost the entire front right of the transaxle must be removed which accounts for 90% of the cost due to the 6 hours labor. If the job was done right, when the trans was out of the car, and the PTU was on the bench, labor would have been nearly nothing (I would have paid the nominal amount if asked). The dealership will do nothing saying It didnt leak before and most troubling the Ford Customer Service Dept will not do anything either saying its a dealership workmanship problem and they have no ability to force them to do anything they dont want to do although its their blue oval outside. Thanks for listening, where do I go next (If any)?

Pathetic cars and customer service.

My F150 has 62000 miles. My service light came on and said transmission malfunction. Took to dealer very same day. After almost a month to repair because Ford dealer/Ford regional manager could not find the parts to repair the transmission, could not find the parts in the Ford system throughout the US. Picked up truck on a Saturday at a cost of $1200 and returned on Sunday. The transmission kept shifting between gears and when I stopped at a traffic light and then accelerated, it would race and then engage with a jolt. It has so far been TWO months and I still do not have my truck. I will never buy another truck from Ford again. All they have done is run you around in circles until you get exhausted and quit. The only good thing is they gave me a loaner two weeks after they took my truck so I dont have to rent a car anymore.

The rear strut bracket has rusted off, this is a safety issue common to this model. Replacement fender was $200.34, two weeks later it was $800.00. Ford said individual dealer prices for parts and service will vary. Therefore, we are unable to assist you, it must be resolved between you and the dealership. This should be a factory safety recall.

I own a 2010 Ford Flex Limited. It has the EPAS steering system that has failed just like the 2011s that has the same part and has an active recall campaign to replace it. When I contacted the dealership, they pulled the part number up and confirmed the recall but, not on the 2010. The dealership then contacted Ford Corporate for financial assistance. Corporate asked the dealer for the parts and labor replacement estimate just to deny fixing my car. I have just spent over $3,500 replacing both turbos and now, Ford expects for me to pay another $2,000 to fix my car again! You would think that Ford would acknowledge a major safety issue like a steering failure!

Fiesta ST - I felt intermittent squeaking and occasional friction in mine and deeply regret not taking it to the dealer the moment I noticed it. Obviously something was defective from the start and now Im bumming rides from friends to work and borrowing my exs car to get my kids to and from their summer camps. To make matters worse, the cars been dead in the none-too-helpful dealers repair shop for three weeks. Pretty frightening episode, too, since the car stopped dead on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago with heavy 60 MPH traffic and no shoulder.Called 911 who dispatched a tow truck but it was a tense fifteen minutes of desperately waving unsuspecting drivers around my dead Ford. Its a nice car: good performance and practical, but if the manufacturer doesnt back what they sell better to buy from a more reliable brand like Honda, Toyota, Mazda, or Subaru who have all served me well in the past. Ill avoid Ford in the future in favor of automakers that provide real warranties and better reliability.

My 2015 Ford Taurus Limited has left me stranded 4 times since I purchased
My 2015 Ford Taurus Limited has left me stranded 4 times since I purchased the vehicle. The problem seems to be with the fuel pump module, which has now been replaced 3 times in less than 3 months. The reason I am complaining is because of Ford customer service. I reached out to them on 9/26/2016 at 10:33 AM, and I was told that a regional customer service manager would contact me in 1 day. It is currently 11:13 AM on 9/28, and I havent heard from anyone. First of all, I have been without a vehicle for 4 of the last 6 days which affects my job, family, income, and personal responsibilities. There seems to be no sense of urgency for Ford and its customer service department to help me. I currently own 3 Ford vehicles, but I feel as that means nothing to them, and they could care less that I am a loyal customer. I feel that Ford needs to step up and take some responsibility and do right to me by compensating me for the missed income and expenses that have occurred due to this faulty vehicle. I have rented cars because of being stranded, and last week spent the night in a parking garage in downtown Chicago in my car with my family due to the failed vehicle. This is not right Ford! I shouldnt be the person that is paying for a troubled car that has only 26K miles. Sure the warranty is still in effect, but what do I do when stranded places? I doubt this will go anywhere but maybe someone from Ford reads this and steps up.

Updated on 02/18/2020: So I call Ford Customer service today, again and because I havent received any updates on my complaint I ask for Adriana **s supervisor to see if maybe I can get a ending in all this ridiculous and absurd case of malfunctioning Ford USB navigation update. So again nothing, I have to wait and see if this supervisor will respond....I will keep calling and posting because this is the only way that I may help others not to make the same mistake and purchase a navigation system update by using the USB that Ford is selling for 152 dollars.Updated on 02/12/2020: After I received an email from Ford customer service said that I need to call the Ford dealer director....after a month 1/2....I decided to call today again and I call 7 times asking for help....the last person that I talked to told me that I have to call 18009008458....navigation system customer support, so I spoke with Melanie, explain my problem and you are not going to believe this, she said that there is nothing she can do, that I have to call Ford customer service 18003923673...again. I call 7 times today....Sorry you have to call back so they can call us.... call us....I pay 154 for an update on my navigation system and 107 to fix the part that was damage by the USB that Ford send me and now there is no one who is responsible to all this and there is nothing that I can do to have my money back.Original Review: Im the owner of a Ford F150 and I was advised by a letter from Ford motor company that my navigation system needed an update and for me to be able to have it I have to purchase. Went to the website and after writing down the VIN number and the navigation system code I paid 175 dollars. After a fews day I received and USB with all the installed instructions. The truck need to be running and it will take around 60 minutes, so I sat and followed the instructions, after a few seconds my screen was white and said navigation system error and then the alarm of the truck went off and the radio. So I decided to call to the number that it was showing in the USB box. Customer support. I was talking to a person name Jasmin. Tried really because her background was a baby crying, so she put me on hold. Wait and wait. I decided to call my Ford dealership and explain the situation. The only solution it was for me to drove and get my battery. That resolve the sound problem, but my navigation system was white and showed a navigation error. So I decided to made an appointment to the following day which was Monday at 9am. Monday the only person who does fix this type of problem show up and say, I dont have time today, come back tomorrow, maybe tomorrow. maybe? So I need another appointment to Thursday at 8am. There I was listening to the manager talking to customer service. Doesnt she has a guarantee? Yes she has. Well let order the part. Part? I just need an update. As a result I have to paid another 107. The USB that I received from Ford motor company damaged my navigation system and a part needed to be replaced. I call Ford motor complaint department and explain all the situation, and after a month of calls and emails I received an email said this is the director phone number for you to call it. What I want, I want my money back thats all. There was nothing wrong with my pickup before all this update thing. Did I got my update. I dont think so no.

Dropped our Fiesta off at the dealership this morning for its third transmission rebuild. At least the employees there were honest and said that they were using the same faulty OEM parts that were used during the last two rebuilds. Has anyone tried to sue the dealership or salesman that lied and told them what a great vehicle it was when they were trying to sell it to ya. I ask because the same guy that told us that bs also told us what a piece of crap they were when we took our car back to the dealer three months later because the transmission failed. Never again.

Ford Billy Howell Cumming sold and serviced the Ford Fusion 2011, and said it was 100% when I bought it. But less than a month and half later the Power Steering Assist completely FAILED! I asked for them to apply the recall as shown on internet: 44,000 Fords (same model, same problem) have been recalled for this VERY SAME problem, but FORD claimed that based on the vin number we are DENIED the recall. They say for another $2,000 theyll fix it! Still, the same model, the SAME year, the SAME problem, has been recalled. But nobody at Ford can explain why we are NOT entitled to the same recall, nor how to submit a claim, and Ford NEVER called back no matter how many times we called and left messages. They promise to call back but never do. My car has now been standing at the shop for 6 months. It CANNOT be driven AT ALL without it being fixed! It should be replaced as per recall done to 44,000 other Ford cars!

Yesterday, I went out to my 2003 Ford Taurus SE to go to work. As I started to back out of the driveway, I heard a loud pop. I got out to find that the drivers side front tire was completely flat. When roadside assistance came to change the tire, he discovered that the coil spring had broken, stabbing a huge hole in the sidewall of the tire. He looked & said the sway bar link was also broken. The tire alone is going to cost me $110, & I will have to have the car towed as it is not drivable. The roadside assistance guy estimated the cost of repair between $500-$1,000, a wide range, I know, but looking at this forum, it appears its going to be more on the high end. I strongly suspect both front & rear will have to be replaced, and I have no idea where I am going to come up with that kind of money. Im very angry that this year has not been recalled, especially considering how dangerous this is. Im thinking strongly of starting a petition on change.org to get Ford to change its mind.

2012 3.5 ltr Ecoboost. Shame on Ford. I purchased a used one owner 2012 with 90k miles on it. Got to use it for about 15k more miles and then it had the same problem so many others have. Timing chain issues. Quotes from 2500 to 3500 to repair. Very poor design for many year models. Ford should be ashamed for not taking care of such a major problem. I had to eat some major negative equity on a trade to be free of this problem. The days of holding your head high for being a Ford owner are long gone. Shame on you, Bill Ford.

There is no recall on this matter and I wonder what is Ford waiting for - Casualties on our roadways? It sounds like Ford Has a National back order on this part. My daughter came to pick me up from work and noticed that our 1999 F150 truck was not sounding okay. After I got in and begin to drive, smoke begin to come up from the dashboard. It resulted to a total loss on a vechicle that was paid off. I could not afford another truck or 4X4 vehicle, so I now have a car with payments. I like the sound system in the Mercury. Trunk is extremely roomy as well as the overall space and its a pleasure to drive when its not broke down. Love that the seats recline all the way back and the back seats fold in for added cargo space for the trunk. But Im not really pleased with this car like I would have hoped to be. It has been unreliable on several occasions and its giving me more headaches than pleasure breaking down on me. Also the console is way smaller than I expected and I wanted a deeper glove box. The drink holders arent adjustable for bigger cups which is very aggravating. I also wanted the car to come with 5 star rally wheels instead of standard spare tire. I wish that the overall length was a little bit bigger and the access to certain areas under the hood was better aligned for easier working space and the doors and windows access for the back seats are made ridiculous.

I purchased a 2012 Ford Certified Pre-Owned Focus in August of 2015. The car had just over 22,000 miles. It was in exceptionally good condition and appeared to be well cared for. I was very reluctant to buy a Ford product because I had a terrible experience with Ford 15+ years ago. I planned to purchase a Chevy Cruze when a friend told me to reconsider Ford and look at a Focus. I visited a Ford dealer and compared the Focus to the Cruze. They were pretty comparable across the board. My daughter pushed for the Focus. We drove a Focus and talked to a couple different dealers quite a bit. I remained skeptical. The dealer convinced us to buy a Certified Focus because it came with an extended the bumper to bumper warranty for 12 months/12,0000 miles and a powertrain warranty extension to 7 years/100,000 miles. The warranty convinced me to give Ford a second chance. My daughter really likes her car and has no real complaints so far.Last week, the car came due for the first oil change. I told her to take it to the Ford Dealer and also let them know that the transmission was not shifting correctly as well as the vents in the rear deck were disintegrating. If you touch them and they literally turn to dust. The dealer told her that the transmission was part of a recall and that she would need to make an appointment to have it reprogrammed. The rear deck was not covered under warranty. I called the dealer back and spoke to the service dept letting them know the car is Ford Certified and that it should be covered under the extended bumper to bumper coverage. The service writer told me that the 12 Month/12,000 mile warranty expires on 8/8/2016, however, Ford CPO is a limited warranty that covers selected parts. They also clarified that Ford CPO does NOT extend the bumper to bumper warranty. It is a limited warranty. There is a specific list of items that are covered. The Ford warranty also has a $100 deductible. That was news to me. I had purchased vehicles certified by other manufacturers and never had a deductible or been told that the bumper to bumper portion has a limited list of repairs. The Ford sales people made it sound the same as other CPO programs.I decided to call Ford Motor Company to verify what I was told. Prior to calling I did some research into the issues we reported with our Focus. Apparently both issues are known problems with Focus sedans. Ford issued a Technical Service Bulletin documenting the rear deck problem and provided instructions for dealers how to perform the repair. The transmission was recalled as we were told. Seems pretty straight forward so far.I called Ford and spoke to Amanda. I told her about the Ford Focus Owners website where there are many complaints about the rear deck dissolving into powder and provided the TSB number that documents the problem. Amanda kept informing me that she was not aware of the issue and kept trying to refer me back to the dealer. I went round and round with her. She seemed quick with the phrases: I am not aware of the issue, I do not have access to that information, I am not able to diagnose the problem over the phone. She was clearly trying to get me off the phone. I was not asking her for a diagnosis. I informed her that a Ford dealer already did the diagnosis. I told her I wanted to know if the warranty covers replacement of the failed parts. The car at this point had 28,000 miles and should not be dissolving into dust. She said that she had conflicting information about coverage. One document said the repair should be covered, the other said it was not. She said she would call me back after doing some research. I never received a callback.I waited a few days and contacted Ford Motor Company again. I spoke to Nick this time. Nick said that there was no record of my previous call. I was not surprised. I had to start over and tell him the whole story. I went round and round again. It was nearly a repeat conversation. Nick like Amanda insisted that he could not diagnose the car over the phone. I was starting to get angry because I clearly was NOT asking for a diagnosis. I asked again and again if the part identified in the TSB failed, does the Ford CPO warranty cover the repair? Seemed pretty clear to me, but he kept trying to make the issue about the diagnosis and again kept repeating that he could not diagnose the issue over the phone and that I needed to go to a Ford dealer. I bet he said I dont have access to that information or some variant of it at least 10+ times. We continued to go round and round. Finally I decided to go in a different direction and ask what parts of the rear deck are covered by Ford CPO. Progress at last. The answer was there are 2 part numbers. One was covered, one was not. The part that is known to fail, is documented as failing repeatedly by Ford, and has a Ford TSB issued for the repair IS NOT COVERED by warranty. The other part number that doesnt have any issues is covered by the warranty. If you are considering a Ford CPO used car, do your homework. Fords warranty is NOT like other CPO programs on the market. Ford limits what they cover and also requires you to pay a deductible. They do a good job with marketing to create the impression that their program is valuable. Dont be fooled! I should have verified Ford CPO against the GM CPO on the Chevy Cruise. It was my own fault for trusting them and not reading before we purchased the Focus. My 19 year old daughter now understands why I was so reluctant to buy Ford. The way Ford representatives handled my call both times was extremely frustrating. I will avoid the Ford CPO program in the future and suggest any reader do the same. We tried 3 times through the dealership and twice with Ford. We received the message and wanted to share it with people.

I have a 2010 XLT with the paint blistering down to bare metal on both sides of the truck. (pictures attached) I am seeing this on many of the trucks of this vintage in my town and they all look very similar. Ford wont do anything about this unless there is a perforation right through. This is clearly related to the paint not being prepped properly. I also had to have the bonnet on this truck painted after 6 months after buying it new because it was blistering behind the edge of the grill. I had a 1998 xlt with 300K on it and I drove it until 2010. The driving conditions were exactly the same and the paint had no issues. I had a guy at Ford tell me on the QT that some people are drilling holes in the problem area and letting it rust to get around Fords policy and fix it. I didnt want to do this so I talked to the dealer, contacted national reps from the US and Canada on this forum.... Big fat nothing.So... after 24 straight years of driving nothing but Ford trucks my new Ram will be here on Friday. IMO Fords quality has gone down and their policy on paint sucks. Sour grapes, you bet!!! Please reply if you have paint problems. I think this is a widespread problem Ford should be dealing with. Get out your drills boys if you want this fixed.

Thousands of customers have experienced problems with changing spark plugs. Changing spark plugs should be a simple maintenance job. Thousands of people including myself have had their spark plugs break and get stuck in the cylinder head. Ford settled a class action suit because of the defective spark plugs, but the majority of those affected by this problem never saw a dime. Now the consumer is stuck footing the bills for what should have been Fords responsibility. Ford charges $600 to change the spark plugs, and if they break, thats considered the customers problem and costs more money. Often the broken plugs cannot be removed and the customer has to buy all new heads. This problem is affecting thousands of Ford owners, who are unknowing about the problem until they are stuck with broken plugs. This should be Fords responsibility to fix, not on the consumer!!!

You spend thousands of your hard earned money with this people and they cant give you a gas cap. I bet Chevy has gas caps on their trucks. Somebody needs to send me a fuel cap for this truck. I am pissed these trucks have no fuel cap or Ford does not provide one. I will make sure I tell everyone I see about this. Hopefully Ford will start putting on caps when they lose enough sales. This sucks.

I have owned my share of Ford cars and trucks since 1979. I used to believe they were the best and the quality was off the chart. However of lately, my past two 2017 Ford’s were not the Fords I have had in the past. The quality has gone from 10 to about a 7 at best. I have recently owned and still drive my 2017 Taurus and recently parted with my 2017 F250 Diesel pickup. The truck wasn’t as bad as the Taurus but there were minor things. The truck had starting issues, and the quality of products used was not up to par in my opinion. Mechanically it seemed to hold its own, I didn’t like how the computer limited its capabilities to be the truck it could actually be. As for the Taurus, it is a good mechanical sound driving vehicle as I expect from a Ford. However the body panels don’t line up, misaligned doors to 1/4 panels, the hood and trunk don’t fit correctly. I got a really good deal on it and didn’t take it to heart too much. But now after year 3.5 I am starting to notice rust sitting in the gutter of the trunk lid, that is unacceptable. There are a lot of people who drive Fords today or in the past because of my tenacity about them. However now not so much so. I recently bought my wife a Chrysler 300 Sedan, it is a nice well built car, I become more and more impressed with it over my beloved Fords. I have owned probably over 50 vehicles in my life time, mostly Ford’s and a few GMs. Dodge hasn’t been a player since the early 70’s. Now they are back on the map! I am impressed and GM has made their way back as well. Ford needs to tighten up again. I was looking forward to possibly buying The new Bronco, however, I am really looking at the Rams and Dodges right now... If we continue to have good fortune with the Chrysler it will motivate me to move away from the Ford line. Trust me I live and breathe Ford’s, my RV is The F53 RV Chassis with the V10, I love it! My late 90 and early 2000 Ford’s were much better, quality, craftsmanship and sheer engineering ingenuity. Just thought I would share. I have had at least one (1) Ford all my 45 years of driving. Not bad, but times have changed and so has Ford unfortunately. Breaks my heart. I hope they turn it around before it is too late, especially after dropping their automobiles. I plan on making a purchase in the next year, hoping to be my final purchase in my life time.

PS I did some research and have discovered that this is an ongoing problem with Ford trucks.

I purchased a 2019 Edge ST and its already been to the dealership twice. Neither of which they have confirmed anything (on paper). My transmission gets to 3rd gear then comes out of gear, continuing to rev, before finally kicking over to 4th gear after a couple of seconds. Same gear, every time. First time I took it in (January 2019), they said the tech couldnt duplicate it, so I took him for a drive. He saw what it was doing but because his little laptop didnt show anything, he wrote on the work order he couldnt confirm the issue. They cleared the adaptive learning it apparently has and all was fine for a couple of weeks. Then, same gear, same issue. Took it back (March 2019). Same response - cant confirm and its not throwing a code soooo... here I sit. It also jumps forward when trying to slow down (ie pull into parking spot or stop sign) but I wont even make the attempt to get them to duplicate that issue.

In July 2014 I received a letter of a Recall on my vehicle regarding the Torque Sensor and Steering Column going out. I took it in to the Dealership where they did whatever they were suppose to do (I assume), though it only took them approx. 5 to 10 mins. At that time I was not having any issues with my vehicle. Speed up now to March 2016, I started having issues with my steering wheel vibrating and moving back and forth and my vehicle making odd noises. I took it in to the same dealership to be checked, they did a diagnostic test and told me my Torque Sensor/steering column were going out. I had them do the repairs. That evening after I okayd the repairs I found the Recall Letter which was in regards to the issue I was having now with my vehicle. I told Steve in the Service Dept and he called Ford Motors to see if my vehicle was covered for the Parts and Labor as the Recall letter stated, he was told No. I also called Ford Motors and was told No that the Recall had expired. In the Recall letter it states that Alternatively, the dealer may need to replace the torque sensor or the steering column. This service will be performed free of charge (parts and labor). I find Ford Motors to be very dishonest and they dont care about their customers safety. They obviously knew of the faulty parts in my vehicle, hence the Recall Letter I received. I did take it in to the dealership when I received that notice. Again at the time of the Recall my vehicle was fine, a little over a year and a half later I end up with the exact issue of that Recall. I feel Ford Motors Company should cover these charges and reimburse me. I have also emailed Ford Motors and received the same response No that the Recall has expired, and after the first 12,000 the warranty is no good. They should cover these parts.

The 1977 Ford Maverick is not for everyone. As a daily driver, it takes a bite out of your wallet for gas money, but that more than pays for itself in the compliments you will receive while filling up at the pump. The bench front seats remove the barrier between you and your passengers and make you feel even closer, while the expansive windshield and minimalist doorframes make it feel like youre driving in a moving clear glass box. Wonkas great glass elevator is a good mental comparison. While the carburetor makes for an bit of a lag on the throttle, with a massive boat like this, youll want to slow down and let everyone get an eyeful anyway.

Ford did a recall back in April. We had to wait 3 months for them to develop the software fix with no rental, no reimbursement, nothing. We been battling them all week. The fix did not work, and now they are putting it on the dealer. Left the dealership today as they have no idea what is wrong with the truck, how to fix it and we couldnt negotiate another deal. No one will take responsibility and the truck is not drivable. Ford Customer Service department are completely useless, they have nothing but sorry, too bad. This is our 3rd Ford and our last. Unreal, that a company like that can issue a letter advising the vehicle is not safe to drive, and then do nothing about it.

We own a 2004 Ford Freestar. Its been having transmission problems for a while. Ford, last year, sent out a recall. Every time we call the dealership, we are told that there are no parts available to do the repairs. Its been over 6 months now for this recall. My van has finally died and is now sitting in my driveway collecting dust. If I were just to drop it off, they would do the repair with what they have on hand but still say they dont have parts for the recall. Seriously? What do we do in this situation?

I am very disappointed with the quality of the Ford edge car. I bought this car in Dec 2012 and it had 3 years free service and warranty. During the past 2.5 years the car has refused to start twice at crucial times and had to be sent to the workshop. I was told that the battery was faulty and it was replaced 2 times. On 1 occasion the car cooling hose burst in the middle of peak hour traffic on Sheikh Zayed road. I had to call a tow truck and sent to workshop. I got the car additional 2 years 20k km free servicing by paying over AED 3000 however as soon as the 60k km warranty was over the car started to miss engine beats and stopped in mid traffic many times. Again at the workshop I was billed for AED 1320 for labour and replacement of spark plugs and catalytic cleaning. Now the workshop has informed me that the battery needs to be replaced again 3rd time and I will have to pay for this. Any other competitors car would not have given me so much problem seeing that till date it is driven locally in Dubai only 68k km and is 2.5 years old. Very poor quality not expected from FORD.

How could they NOT possible return all of these vehicles, smash them and grind them like they did to Christine at the end!? These are death trap cars and are unsafe... Shame on Ford. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! Now, I am stuck in this car, hoping and praying that nothing bad happens. All they do is lie after lie and say its normal just so they dont have to fix it under the lemon law. At the beginning of June I was lucky enough to notice that one of my doors was not closing before I left my parking spot. I had the car towed in to a Ford service center and was expecting it to have it fixed within a couple of days. I mean it is just a door latch (which they made out of PLASTIC by the way). After a few days of waiting I find out that they want to hold onto the car until at least September, for some reason they dont have this simple part anywhere in stock. Thats at least 3 MONTHS without a car that I am paying monthly and they are offering some rental car reimbursement for a small compact car which is only about $30 a day and I think the cheapest rental car is $35, nowhere near the value of the car I am leasing from them. If it was only for a week or two then I would have no problem with that. I have called them numerous times in order to work something out, maybe get the same value car rental compared to the one I am leasing, but they dont want to do anything. The customer means NOTHING to this company. You are absolutely 0 to them. As long as they are getting money from you they dont care how you are being inconvenienced.I had the pleasure of speaking to the regional manager of Ford in NY and she was utterly useless. The first time she called she couldnt even locate the car after I gave her the VIN and the dealership where the car is located. The second time she called she basically told me she cant do anything using her resources, another word I heard thrown around while on the phone with them. Its like they work on favors. She made it sound like I should feel privileged that they are even offering me a rental in the first place. She told me that the dealer can use their resources, again this word, and try to get the part faster or something. They are basically making me call everyone for them instead of them solving the issue. Its not my job do that, its theirs. Its the reason why they get paid. In my opinion this person gets paid for no reason and her job should be given to someone else that can actually help the customer. So to review: stuck 3 months without a car I am paying for, Ford is offering a partial reimbursement for a rental, Ford regional manager is useless (she does anything but manage). I will never in my life consider buying/leasing a Ford product again (including Lincoln).

Very disappointed with Ford Motor Company. We purchased 2012 Ford Focus with 92,000 miles for my daughter in college. Good dependable vehicle - after 1.5 months the SYNC radio started to go in and out. After about a week of this - completely black screen. My daughter is at college and could not get back to dealer we purchased it from - they made repair of the SYNC module for $907. I then found that Ford had a warranty for this issue, regardless of miles - but limited to 5 years. So Ford says tough luck to me - while I find this terrible that with hands free and safety concerns that Ford would not stand behind this issue when they know they have one. My dad, My dads brother, My dads dad, My moms dad dad, 3 other uncles all retired from Ford Motor Company - some even drove test cars for Henry Ford 1st. I will never purchase another Ford product again after knowing that they know they have issue but refuse to address the issue when they know it was never fixed.Areal was the man who took my call at Ford and said that no one else would ever tell me different - it expired and Ford does not care that the hands free is not functional for phone in their car they manufacture. I WILL ONLY BUY GENERAL MOTOR VEHICLES FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE - this is terrible service FORD MOTOR COMPANY. Shame on you. Gerald **.

2014 Ford transit van - This car isnt even 2 years old and I noticed hundreds of small holes in the paint. Took it into the local Ford dealership to see if the warranty covers it and, WELL OF COURSE!! No, it isnt covered because it is supposedly due to rock damage from the roads, that none of our other (more used) cars have. Recently when driving my vehicle, which is one year out of warranty, Ive found that my car stops suddenly in the middle of the road, with traffic behind me! A small wrench light comes on, the car starts shaking and stops driving. I have to turn off and restart the car to get it going again, until it feels like dying again. Ive gotten stuck now 1-3 times a day, once in the middle of a busy intersection. Once it happened on the highway, and luckily no one was directly behind me for the moment, and I was able to limp my car to the shoulder (3 lanes over). My car gives me no limp-ability any longer.Ford gives me no satisfaction, although they acknowledge that this has happened with other years & models, and offered a temporary fix program (it appears to be a defective throttle body that needs to be replaced) for some of those vehicles, but that temporary deal is over now. I refuse to pay Ford to fix my problem, and now just plan to get rid of this vehicle and never buy a Ford again.

I took my truck to Sheehy Ford for a engine issue. Basically the truck would shut off while driving down the road. The dealer said we should replace the head studs, head gaskets, injector seals, fuel seals, oil passage seals. I was okay with all of that costing estimated $7000 and about 26 labor hours. That was 4+ months ago. They have had my truck for 4+ months. They replaced my radiator, why??? I dont know and the service manager doesnt know either. But Im sure Im getting billed for that somehow. Face to face I asked the service manager why they replaced my radiator. He said I dont know. I went to the shop to get some camping stuff out of my truck and was there for about 25-30 minutes. There were 6 vehicles in the shop and not one technician in there working. At one point a tech walked in the back door and grabbed an oil pan and brought it over to a van but dropped it and walked up to the front. I dont trust what they are doing mechanically to my truck. They in theory replaced my high pressure oil pump, but once it was all back together they had zero oil pressure. Did they replace it??? Well even the old oil pump was giving some oil pressure. I cant get a response from the service manager anymore and I had to call Ford motor company. So far Tina has done a good job corresponding between me and the dealer but Im not getting anywhere. Again 4+ months and over $4000 in rental car bills. I have yet to get my truck back and am still making payments and insurance on a truck I can not use. I wouldnt trust them to change my head light.

We have been loyal Ford automobile/truck owners for over 30 years. Bought a C-MAX in April 2013 based on Fords claim of 47 mpg hwy/47 mpg city. Then the truth came out and Ford said they were wrong. Ford was very nice and sent two checks totaling around $900 for their mpg mistake. Then there have been numerous recalls. We contacted the head of Fords Extended Service Plan department in September, 2014, to request an extension of the warranty to 100,000 at no cost to us. No answer back from Mr. Michael **. Sent another letter. Again, no response. Contacted Fords Customer Relation Center via email. Received a response back the same day. Fords CRC asked for clarification as to what the problem was and what we were asking for. I responded three times and never heard back. Sent two letters to William Ford, Jr., Mark Fields, and Frederiek Toney (President, Global Ford Customer Service Division). Guess what? NOT ONE PERSON RESPONDED.....again! Was really ticked off now so on January 12, 2015 I called the number that was in small print underneath the responder from CRCFMC. Another exercise in futility. Spoke with a Debra who advised us: Ford could not and would not extend the service contract. Because Ford had sent monetary compensation for the mpg disparity there was nothing else Ford was going to do. We had waited too long to request an extension (please remember we started this process four months before speaking with Debra). When I asked Debra why there was never any follow-up to my three replies to the CRC emailer, Debra said the 1 800 number is in Florida and the CRC emailer was probably in Michigan. Debra said that essentially there is no coordination between emailing Fords CRC and calling the 1800 number listed in the CRCs email. Isnt that a heck of a way to run a business? So we are done defending Ford when our friends ask us how our FixOrRepairDaily is. We are done buying any Ford, new or used. If we were to win a free car and it turned out to be a Ford we would donate it. In closing, we could have accepted a sorry, it isnt happening to our request of Ford, case over. But the non-response from anyone at Ford shows they could care less..... and now, we dont either.

Purchased a Ford Transit 2020 from this place. I submitted my review for Ford.com but they did not publish it because it was a one star. Two main reasons for one star: They sold me a car without passenger seat. I thought I can install a seat. When I went to pick up the car, they told me it doesn’t have any passenger airbags. Factory removed them! If they have told me I would never buy this car. It is not safe to operate. It took them one 8 days to finish the paper work for my car, and they only did it because I keep following up with them.I purchase that car remotely, by phone. We agreed on a price that was 300$ less than MSRP. They called me after a while saying that somebody else is willing to buy the car for the whole MSRP price and I need to pay the full price if I want it. Who changes his word for 300$, one a 50+K$ car? They removed a 1$ Funnel in the car to fill it from a canister. In my way home, I ran out of gas. I went to a gas station and filled a canister and came back then I couldn’t find the funnel to fill the tank and had to wait a long time for road side assistant. The passenger door on my brand new 2020 car rattled sometime and you have to open and close it several times to fix this. Need to the new car to the dealership. I bought a brand new Mustang GT in the summer of 18. I traded a pristine 14 JKU and a 2003 Corvette in on this car. 2 vehicles I loved very much. The Jeep was still like brand new with almost no miles. Anyway, I bought this Mustang and drove this thing very cautiously hoping a gentle break in would ensure long drivetrain longevity. This car has never even done a burnout. Well, the engine started making a rattling noise like a diesel Around 500 miles. The interior had a random rattle and the transmission would often grind going in to 3rd and 4th as well as being resistant to pull out of 3rd gear. This car zat for a total of 32 days in the few months I owned it. Ford put a new short block in it at 2,000. Basically the car was no longer brand new as the front end was completely disassembled. I asked Ford for an msrp swap and they said no. I asked them to reimburse me the amount of monthly payments in proportion to how long the car zat and they said no because they dont have confidence Ill stay with the brand. I traded 2 fantastic vehicles for this pile of garbage and Ford had no interest in satisfying their customer. I buy a new car every few years and had Ford treated me well they would have had another guaranteed sale from me as I bought my wife a new car in Dec 19. We were going to buy an Explorer. Unfortunately Ill NEVER buy another Ford and I urge you to research the engine/ transmission failures in basically every Ford model in production. Im making it a life mission to share my experience with the general public in hopes that I can prevent them from having the same horrific experience I did. Have a nice day.

The truck had been parked since 4:00 PM the previous afternoon, with no flammable items inside and no noticeable irregularities with the operation of the truck. We have no idea why the fire started, but the truck and the contents are a total loss.

The Ford Five Hundred has been a great car for me and I really like it. It has leather interior and has lots of cup holders. I like the way the back seats fold down to give me more trunk space. I really enjoy the heated seats the best. So great in the winter time and they really help. But I would like the car to have four wheel drive for better driving during the winter snow season. It does seem to slide easy on slick streets.

Our 2014 Flex has been a great car so far! It gets decent gas mileage and has plenty of room. We have not had any mechanical issues so far and the only complaint I have is that the hoses that go to the front and rear window squirters keeps coming off of a connector, that I had to end up clamping to the connector.

This car started off my dream car. I moved from Louisiana to California about 4 years ago and the troubles began. Apparently the car cannot handle the hills and inclines of San Diego. About a year after moving here I started having a slight thud after putting far in reverse. My husband said I just needed to let the motor wind down before putting in drive. It wasnt an everyday all the time problem. Just intermittent then last year it began to shut off on me going down the road. I would stop at a stop sign or red light and the car literally would crawl then hard bang and take off. The problems got more frequent and worse. I was involved in a frontal collision doing about 30 miles an hour, enough to send the other car that ran the red light into a 360 turn and not one air bag in the car went off. $13000.00 dollars worth of damage to the front end of my car and not one air bag inflated. Thank god we were all buckled up. After the accident I drove the car for about 2 weeks before the car literally sounded like it was grinding rocks, transmission slipping severely and I was afraid to drive it. I take it into the local Ford dealership and after having it for 2 days I get a call saying they cant figure it out. 10 minutes later they call and say its ready. I get there and Im told you need a new transmission. $5700 for a transmission that apparently has some defects from all of the other people Ive read complaining having the same issues! Ford should be ashamed for putting a transmission in a family car that is potentially unsafe and unreliable. Beware when buying one of these.

I would like to give kudos to the entire sales team at Five Star Ford Stone Mountain, but a special note of thanks should go to my salesperson Michael **. He displayed phenomenal professionalism and patience with me for the entire 6 plus hours I was at the dealership. He made me feel right at home and did not pressure me in any way. He understood what I wanted and what I didnt want. I left a happy customer with my 2018 F-150. Thanks again to Michael **. I will be a repeat customer.

I have a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport. I’ve been good to this car but it hasn’t been so good to me. In August of this year (2019) I would’ve had this car for 9 years. After many repairs later I’m starting to think I should give up. I’ve invested too much money into this car. Over this last weekend, I had to get my motor mounts done. For the second time! Conveniently enough, I got them done 4 years ago. Motor mounts failed again but guess what? Warranty is only 2 years. Another convenience is that when the repair was done, I went to pick my car up. Sure enough... 2 more problems. Power steering leaked out and ac doesn’t work. I’ve heard the horror stories of cars getting fixed just for the mechanics to break something else in the process. I’ve even recently had to get my left axle replaced. I’ve put in nearly 2 grand in repairs this year alone and the year hasn’t even met its halfway mark. Oh! And they also tell me my transmission might’ve been affected by the faulty motor mounts. It’s exasperating. After a long dialogue with a rep via Twitter direct messages, I’m exhausted and tired of explaining the story over and over again. They just seem to give me generic responses saying they can’t find any warranties or programs that can help me. They asked for my VIN and my mileage. I’ve pretty much poured my heart out to them explaining that I have two kids and I’m a single father struggling to keep the bills paid but they don’t seem to care. It’s crazy how Toyotas and Hondas even Chevys are out here still kicking since 92 and even older with their original engine components. What a rip off. I’ll never buy ford again. If I were to even win a new Ford in a contest I’d trade it immediately for a more reputable company brand car. Thanks a lot Ford. For nothing. But in all seriousness. Thanks to Joe at my local ford dealer for trying his best. But, at this point, I can’t keep doing it anymore. I refuse to put anymore money into this car. I’m done.

I purchased my 2012 Ford Fiesta in September of 2015. When I test drove it, it ran great and was excellent on gas. I needed something since I commute an hour each way for work. About a month after I purchased it, I began to have issues with the transmission. It would shutter and stall when shifting gears when taking off, or would seem like it was skipping a gear when taking off. I went into the Ford dealer in Santa Fe where I work and they basically said that is the way the transmission is designed and wouldnt even look at it. I proceeded to take it to a dealer in the town I lived in and they ended up replacing the clutch and reprogramming the TCM. This worked for a few months and now I have the same issue, on top of a engine light coming on and off, and a rattle when the car is turned off. Ive taken it back to the dealer to be told its not a transmission issue but engine codes and of course more money to be spent. Ive complained multiple times about these issues as Ive done research and see that this is an all too common issue. Now Im talking with a second customer service manager for Ford and hope to hear some good news about them either fixing the car or buying it back. Quite honestly the worst car and worst customer service experiences Ive had with any car Ive owned. I will never purchase a Ford again because of it.

I bought a 2014 F150. I only have 35000 miles on it. Started rusting in the cab corners before warranty went out but they wouldnt cover it because it wasnt perforated. They assured me that once it perforates it would be covered because I was still way under the mileage and that the time didnt matter. Well, one month after the time portion of the warranty went out, it perforated. I took it to both dealers I had been dealing with and they wouldnt give me the time of day. Just said, Your warranty is out, we dont want to touch it. Now I cant even get my truck fixed. Only one shop in my area will even touch rust work, but he wants close to $3500 to fix it and he has terrible reviews for quality work. Spoke to customer care and they said to just hope Ford releases some kind of reimbursement or extended warranty in the future. Are you kidding me?The problem was clearly noted before the warranty expired. I could have easily poked a hole through the bubbles to make it perforated, but that would not be honest. I wasnt even looking for Ford to cover the entire thing, maybe just approval for the dealer to actually do the work and maybe a discounted rate. I was considering upgrading some trucks in my fleet to new super dutys as Ive always had Ford, but given the way I have been treated the last few years by Ford, I dont believe I can bring myself to do so anymore. Whatever has happened to this company in the last 5-8 years, I am very disappointed.

I too had my front right coil spring failed on my 2002 Taurus. It punctured the tire at 55mph. I just had it looked at and would require a repair cost of $570. Looks like Im not the only one. Just remember this fellow owners, all manufacturers sell these cars, only the good ones stand behind their product. Simple, is Ford a good company or mediocre? Will you continue to support a company that does not stand behind its product? I will no longer support Ford until this issue is resolved. Sounds like a class action to me. Step up to the plate Ford or is the company simply mediocre? F.O.R.D. = Flat Or Road Deflating.

It maneuvers really great on the road & its driving comfort is perfect. Mileage is really good too? We have had several different makes of vehicles but the two Fords that we have are what we were looking for & to date the service has been excellent! Our prev vehicle had repairs/replacements that needed to be done at 100k and we were not advised when purchased. Ford was truthful & did their best to find what we were looking for including the color. Their service dept has notified us any time they see something of concern and its not always costly. The vehicles are a joy to drive. We were always Chev people but their sales staff were not very accommodating & refused to deal to make the sale. Their loss!

The car has 17250 miles on it, its 2014 Fiesta Titanium. I have been having transmission problems. Shuddering, shaking, jerking, jolting, sudden or delayed acceleration have all been problems. Low speeds seem to be an issue with it. It seems to shudder in between 1st and 2nd gears. I also have had it stall while in reverse. I have taken it to the Ford dealership, they are aware of the issue, have had multiple complaints, and said they would reprogram the software to make the shift changes more smooth. It is still exhibiting the same issues - harsh shuddering, gears slipping, clicking and noises. Its just a matter of time before this vehicle kills someone. I wasnt told that this car would operate any differently than any other car. The dealership says that all of these symptoms are normal for the kind of transmission that they sold me and that its still safe to drive. Even when I took it in to get reprogrammed for the shuddering, the technician said that its still going to do it. What?! It wasnt doing it before and now you want me to deal with a shuddering vehicle? And you say you still cant fix it? Thats terrible. Ive owned Fords all my life and this is my first new car and I feel like Ive made a terrible decision and its barely got 20,000 miles on it. More importantly, the safety. Ive had more than one close call with trying to accelerate and the transmission not responding in enough time to get out of the way. Operates unlike any other vehicle Ive owned and not in a good way.

I had my truck parked in front of my house on January 2011. I left the car running outside and went inside the house. When I looked outside my car was on fire under the hood. I just had time to call the fire department. If we hadnt looked outside our house would have been burnt and my family in danger. I didnt have full coverage. I had a total loss on that car. I contacted Ford Motor Company to make a complaint and I was told that there was no recalls on that truck for that specific year. I did many researches online and found many trucks the same year had caught fire just like mine and that there were only recalls from 1999 to 2003 due to the same issue that happened to my 2004 truck.

They added over 5,000 of optional fees onto my contract, changed the term on me, and lied about my apr saying it was 8 percent higher then it actually was to hide all these fees. The car rolls backwards, shakes, doesnt want to accelerate and more. Ford wont stand behind the customers because all they are focused on is capital. Eventually ford will end themselves with poor quality vehicles and exceptionally terrible service. Never in my life would I have thought a company would be capable of both. Get it together please. They will only let me get half my money back for a warranty I didnt ask for... This is a common thing for ford... I have over 15 people who I contacted that have had this exact incident happen to them.

I brought my 2001 Taurus wagon in to have snow tires installed on Nov. 23, 2011 and the mechanic said that I had a cracked left front coil spring but that it was part of a recall, so it wouldnt cost anything to replace. I scheduled an appointment and was told the offer expired on Sept. 29, 2011, which is 10 years from the purchase date of the vehicle. I called Ford to find out why they never told me of this and they claim they sent out notices, which they didnt, at least not to me. Im the only owner of the vehicle and live at the same address as I did when vehicle was purchased. Ford wouldnt budge on this. I also noticed I had a suspension/strut service done in Oct. 2005. Shouldnt the dealer have noticed the recall or service bulletin at that time? This is my last Ford, thats for sure. Its gonna cost me between $700 and $1,000 to repair. Im also selling all my Ford stock.
