Posted On: September 1, 2022
Ford Everest is a mid-sized sport utility vehicle (SUV) that has been in production since 2003. It is manufactured by Ford Motor Company and is currently in its second generation. The Ford Everest has been marketed and sold in over 50 countries and has received several awards, including the “2015 SUV of the Year” award from Cars.com. In this Ford Everest review, we will take a look at some of the pros and cons of this popular SUV. However, Ford Everest prices are not yet available since they have not been disclosed yet. Therefore, they won’t be part of this review. What You Need To Know About the Ford Everest The redesigned Ford Everest is a large SUV that’s based on the Ranger ute. It’s due to be launched in late 2022, after the redesigned Ranger. The new Everest will offer more technology, capability, and a new turbo-diesel V6 engine. It will also have a new Platinum flagship trim level. Pricing and specific launch timing have yet to be announced, but we expect the launch to occur in the third quarter of 2022. The Ford Everest has always been a big, brawny SUV. Ford has gone to great lengths to make sure that the new model is even more capable than its predecessor. Choosing the Right Variant for the Ford Everest Ford Everest Ambiente The Ford Everest Ambiente is the base model in the Everest range. It’s available with rear- or four-wheel drive, and is exclusively powered by a familiar 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo four-cylinder diesel. Standard equipment includes: leather-wrapped E-shifter (4×4 models only), 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch Sync 4A touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, embedded modem with FordPass app connectivity, electric park brake, LED headlights, and cloth upholstery. As the base model, the Ambiente is well equipped but lacks some of the features of the higher trim levels. Ford Everest Trend The Ford Everest Trend is a great choice for those who want a bit more luxury and convenience. It comes with a 12-inch touchscreen, heated and ventilated front seats, USB charging outlets, and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also offers a choice of rear- or four-wheel drive. If you opt for the four-wheel drive model, you’ll also get an off-road information screen. The Ford Everest Trend is a great choice for those who want a bit more luxury and convenience. Ford Everest Sport The Sport becomes a full-time member of the Everest range, as with the related Ranger ute. It’s also the most affordable Everest to offer the new 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6, and is available exclusively with four-wheel drive. There are larger 20-inch alloy wheels with a black finish to match the black exterior accents, including the mirror caps, door handles and grille bars. Heated and ventilated front seats are standard, while zone lighting and a surround-view camera are optional. The Ford Everest Sport is a great option for those looking for a rugged and capable SUV that doesn’t break the bank. Ford Everest Platinum The Ford Everest is a large 7-seater SUV that is available in a range of trim levels. The top of the range is the Platinum, which comes with 4-wheel drive and a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 engine. The Platinum is distinguished by its unique chrome grille, 21-inch alloy wheels, and matrix LED headlights. It also has quilted leather upholstery, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster. The Platinum also has semi-autonomous parking assist and zone lighting. These features make the Platinum the most luxurious and technologically advanced version of the Ford Everest. Interior Ford has made a number of changes to the interior of the Everest, all with the goal of making the cabin more comfortable and luxurious. Quilted leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof are just some of the features that can be found inside the Platinum model. All models come equipped with Sync 4A infotainment system, which includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The base model comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while all other models have a 12-inch portrait-oriented system. In addition, Ford has worked to make the cabin quieter by looking at details such as the mirrors, door seals, and brakes. Finally, the company has maximized the packaging for the external footprint, resulting in more elbow, leg, and shoulder room for both front and back passengers. Exterior The exterior of the new Everest is purposeful and modern, with a wide stance and angular bodywork. The front end is bluff and boxy, with C-clamp lighting signatures that work well with the car’s overall look. The Platinum model offers exclusive matrix LED headlights with dynamic bending capability. Other features that set the Platinum apart from other models include a unique grille, black roof, and 21-inch alloy wheels. Inside the car, the Platinum model features a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Ford’s SYNC 3 interface and heated and cooled front seats for added comfort. Thanks to these premium features, the new Everest is sure to turn heads on the road.
