2023 Cadillac Escalade V Review and Test Drive
Posted On: November 9, 2022
Do you remember the part in the original Jurassic Park movie where Jeff Goldblum’s character, Dr. Ian Malcolm, said, “You did it you crazy son of a b****, you did it”? Well, this week has been much of that statement on repeat as I drive the new 2023 Cadillac Escalade V that touts 682 horsepower from a supercharged V8 engine where I’m in continual disbelief that Cadillac created such a thing, and I wholeheartedly love it! The new 5th-generation Cadillac Escalade was already one of my favorite body-on-frame SUVs when I first had an opportunity to review it nearly two years ago. Little did I know at the time that Cadillac would come through on the rumors of doing a “V” version of the large SUV. I suppose you can call it a last hurrah to what is capable with the internal combustion engine before electric vehicles start to take over. I totally get what was done here, I’m a huge fan of it, and I wish there was more coming. Not only does the new Cadillac Escalade V subtly change up its exterior looks a bit to fit the part of a performance version of the big SUV, but it does so with class and to not offend anyone. After all, the Escalade V is something that all types of people will drive – not just someone who seeks a thrill ride because it happens to have a supercharged V8 that pumps out some serious power. Definitively, it’s a vehicle that a family man can drive and hold on tight to his man card, or one that any woman can pilot and laugh at the kid who thought he could jump out in front of her in his Honda Civic Si. Performance and Driving Character The new Cadillac Escalade V has a familiar engine that’s found in the new Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, a 6.2-liter supercharged V8. Only in the Escalade, there are 14 more ponies but a few less lb-ft of torque for a total of 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque. The power is sent to an all-time four-wheel-drive system but first going through a buttery smooth 10-speed automatic transmission that can shift lighting quick when needed or when in the Sport or V drive modes. There’s something special to be said about the Escalade V in that Cadillac didn’t just take the Escalade Sport Platinum trim and put the supercharged V8 and it and let it fly – they went the extra mile to make the rest of the vehicle work with that extra 262 horsepower where it doesn’t ever feel sloppy or not up to the task of welding that power and the weight of such a large vehicle. We’re talking about managing just over 6,200 pounds, and thanks to the latest magnetic ride control and a quick-reacting adaptive air suspension system specifically tuned for the Escalade V there’s a welcomed amount of body control that I didn’t think was possible. I won’t go as far as to claim that the new Escalade V is anything remotely similar to a sports car in terms of handling. However, the Escalade V elevates the scope of what one of the largest SUVs around can do out on the road leaving a huge smile on the driver’s face while toting six other passengers. The Escalade V is an outright beast, one that takes the engineering from other Escalades and modifies it to handle the extra power while keeping the composure of the body movement. For example, laying into the throttle the Escalade V’s suspension immediately firms up and prevents excess body lift in the front aiding to help keep all four wheels firmly planted on the road. Even during braking, using the beefy 6-piston front Brembo calipers and large steel rotors, the Escalade V reacts to prevent it from plowing, again, surprising the driver with some unexpected control. Lateral handling is a different story as there’s a lot of heft to contend with but the Escalade V through its unique suspension tuning and the lightning-quick reaction of the magnetic dampers tends to keep body roll in check. There’s even a V drive mode that lowers the ride height for a lower center of gravity if you ever want to be adventurous and carve canyons in your big SUV. Still, in being completely honest and transparent here, the Escalade V is probably the most fun you’ll have in an SUV of this size. However, canyon carving should be done with some restraint because there’s only so much stability control can do in fighting the laws of physics handling 6,200 pounds on four all-season 22-inch tires. The last characteristic that must be mentioned is the sound that the Escalade V makes. To put it simply, the exhaust is one of the best parts of such a vehicle that emits ear titillation that first seems out of place. There are six drive modes, Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice, Tow/Haul, My Mode, and V mode. In the Tour mode the exhaust is in its middle setting, which remains to be rather loud, especially under moderate to full acceleration. Closing the exhaust valves for a “Stealth” sound setting requires you to bring up the My Mode setting to dial in certain vehicle characteristics, including the exhaust where things aren’t as boisterous unless you go full throttle where the valves automatically open. There are even deceleration burbles that you get from the exhaust at times, which are hilarious to hear in such a luxurious huge SUV. Using the V drive mode and launching the big Caddy you’ll hit 60 mph in about 4.4 seconds – not the fastest thing around but it’s something special for such a big vehicle to move out like this does. Cadillac didn’t hold back, and they make the presence of the Escalade V well known when you put your foot into it, and I just love it. Fuel Economy The new Cadillac Escalade V isn’t shy about being the raucous large body-on-frame SUV that it is. That theme continues deep into its boastfulness in drinking copious amounts of required premium unleaded fuel to the tune of the EPA-estimated 11 mpg city and 16 mpg highway. Around town you’ll expect to get close to the 11-mpg figure, especially when you are having fun listening to that growing exhaust note that turns heads – you can literally see the digital fuel gauge moving during those times. I am happy to report that you can better those figures where I saw a steady 18.4 mpg on the Interstate traveling at 75 mph for just over 230 miles. That was actually surprising and pleasing at the same time considering the price of gas these days. The 24-gallon fuel tank could have been a little larger as the highway cruising range is just over 410 miles if you go by the 16 mpg EPA figure. Either way, no one buying the Escalade V is going to complain much considering you’re already paying six figures for such a vehicle – just know that visiting the gas station will be a regular occurrence. Interior and Technology Just like the rest of the Escalade lineup, the Escalade V features a luxurious interior and only changes a few things such as adding the V drive mode button and placing a few “V” logos throughout. Otherwise, you have a cabin that’s indicative of a luxury land yacht, or at least one that’s almost as large. The highlight of the interior is the prided curved OLED screens that make up 38-inches of real estate featuring the 16.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, 14.2-inch digital gauge cluster, and a 7.2-inch touch control panel for display of the trip computer, toggle of the screen information (gauges, navigation map, augmented reality camera display, night vision toggle), and color heads-up-display (HUD) adjustments. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto nicely integrate into the curved infotainment screen in a scaled down section of the display. The wireless charging pad slot is actively cooled to keep your smartphone from overheating, which is a welcomed and often overlooked feature of most new GM vehicles. The infotainment system has a short learning curve to overcome but having the ability to control it through either the touchscreen or physical buttons and a control knob adds to its user-friendliness. The crispness and brightness of the OLED on-screen icons and displays make it easy to land on the proper control each time as does having the set of physical automatic climate controls below the screen with their own color LED display. There’s also something to be said about the attention to detail of the screens being wrapped in stitched leather and the quality of materials used throughout the cabin of the Escalade V. You also get heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, and the second-row captain’s chairs are heated. I only wish the seat massage function was applied to the lower part of the seat instead of just the seat back. Fundamentally, the Escalade V takes all of what you get in the Escalade Sport Platinum trim and surrounds it with a beastly powertrain – that’s the V in a nutshell. Three rows of strap-in and hold on for some luxurious fun. Safety All the expected active safety features are included in the Escalade V with the exception of leaving General Motor’s delightful SuperCruise out of the equation on my test vehicle, which has limited availability (possibly due to the chip shortage) but is said to return at a later date. Otherwise, you still get adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitors, lane departure warning/keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert and emergency braking, forward collision warning with emergency braking/pedestrian detection, a 360-degree camera system, and the welcomed digital rearview mirror. Price The pay-to-play equation is fitting for the new Cadillac Escalade V as the pricing is set just at $149,485 with my test vehicle coming to $151,280 with just the only options being a console refrigerator w/freezer and the Argent Silver Metallic paint color option. In all, that’s not an outrageous price for what you get in the fastest body-on-frame luxury SUV around. I’ll certainly be on the lookout for this hurrah at a “reasonable price” to place one in my garage one day before EVs start to take over.

Cadillac has a wide variety of models and selections. Each model included different packages allowing me a selection with items that allowed me to customize my vehicular selection. From color selection combined with interior combinations I was able to find just the right style that pleased both my spouse and I. Coupled with a wide variety of features led to a unique car built just for me. The inside capacity of the sedan offers a very roomy space for my passengers. Both front and back seats are comfortable. The leather seats keep warm in winter and offer a body hugging feeling.

What they had then and what they have now are different. A Cadillac no matter what model is a prime car at that time and very dependable. You cant go wrong with one. This was my 1st car in 1962. It had a sleek body style with sort of mud flaps called wings which clipped on the back tires. It had everything the cadillac had to offer. Radio, heat, air which was about it back then. The car had both a front and a back full bench seat that would ride 6 to 8, very comfortable and has plenty of leg room.

I have a 2013 Cadillac SRX. Right at 52k, my cue touchscreen started not working and then eventually stopped working altogether. Now I cant change the radio, pair my phone, control the AC, set the safety features on the car. Brought it to the Cadillac dealership, $150 diagnostic to tell me I need a radio control unit. First they say GM will offer some cost assistance. 7 weeks later the RCU is still on back order. After several complaints to Cadillac they say its the first that they heard of it. Yet there are so many back ordered because they are failing at an alarming rate. Cadillac stills holds the line that your warranty expired and you are on the hook. I hate Cadillac. I used to love the car and my Cadillac user experience sucks. Looking for an answer.

Was happy to purchase previously owned 2013 Cadillac SRX in November 2016. Also purchased extended warranty. Wish I would have done more homework before this purchase though now in hindsight viewing the many complaints about the touchscreen CUE is so disheartening. I, like many others, have a touchscreen that wont work even after hard reset attempts per GM instructions. Waiting a week before I can even get into the dealership for this issue. Learning this is not covered in warranty, even extended is sickening. There should be a class action against Cadillac for this faulty part placed in my vehicle. As soon as I pay this car off no more GM or Cadillac cars for me! They have lost my trust.

Our government should have gone after GM for allowing them to produce an engine that has leaked thousands of gallons of oil on our nations highways. This engine is an inferior design & GM should have been held responsible. This is a common problem with all GM Northstar oil leaking Engines and there was never a recall. GM never attempted to correct the oil leak problem. When it was new the sticker price on my 1996 Cadillac was approx $45,000. My 1997 Ford Explorer went for approx $23,000 & it doesnt leak a drop of oil. Shame on you General Motors!!!

My parents have owned many older model Cadillac and had great experiences, other than any repairs are expensive. I bought a 2012 SRX used with low mileage. My repairs now on this money pit are just under $10,000. One of the problems is a particular code that is not specific to a problem but rather has a list of possible problems to be fixed. They just go down the list and keep fixing and charging you until the problem is resolved. That code has cost me about $5000 now and still not fixed. They have given me discounts on parts at times but this is still unacceptable expectations coming from such a top brand car manufacturer. Other problems, back up camera, air conditioner, oil leak...I will not buy another Cadillac and will sever my ties with the brand this week!

At first it was great, but then the lower part of the screen would no longer sense your touch. After a couple of weeks it just stopped working altogether by touch. Fortunately the steering wheel and the verbal command still works for changing the channels. Shame on Cadillac for putting a pile of crap in a flagship car line.

I purchased a Cadillac ATS in April 2014. Within one month it developed an extreme odor from the ventilation system. Went to the dealer in July 2014. They minimized the odor, it returned with a vengeance. In July I had my 4th visited where they implemented a Service Bulletin for the odor. Apparently there are many people with stinky Cadillacs. Within 2 weeks the odor returned worse than ever. I called the dealer and they advised they would contact Cadillac Engineering. I wrote to Cadillac who sounded sympathetic, but no real response for a remedy to my extreme problem. The problem comes from mold forming in the ventilation system. I am concerned about potential health issues as the air is very bad. Has anyone else had the same problem where Cadillac made a successful repair?

I love the car. It is very reliable, a great brand, and very affordable. I am happy with the choice I made. My friends always tell me how nice my car looks. You dont have to change much of the features because they are already stylish. I didnt do much upgrading on my car because I didnt have to but you can do a lot of upgrading if you wanted to. You can afford most of the upgrades and most car places do have all the parts. Though the back is a little crammed, the passengers always compliment how comfortable the seats are and how nice all the features are in the cars. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Recently purchased this as a new car from a local dealer who used it as a courtesy vehicle. It had only 2500 miles and had most of the factory warranty remaining. I am glad I did not pay the new car price and paid at a nearly 40% discount off sticker. This Cadillac defines why discerning luxury car buyers never cross shop Cadillac and laugh at the notion of Cadillac being a luxury brand. This car is rife with rattles, poor fit and finish, low quality materials, the failure that is CUE, clouding headlamps (at 4000 miles), constant headlight malfunction warnings, misfitting panels, steering that seems to have a mind of its own often failing to turn with input or causing the wheel to jerk without input. This is the sorriest excuse for a luxury automobile ever and explains why Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Volvo, Jaguar, and other traditional luxury brand owners will never cross shop a Cadillac.

Cadillacs are the brand of many centuries, with lots of power, stability, accommodation, etc. Cadillac has so many models I cant even name, but they have great cars (selections) to choose from. Various upgrades of the Cadillac brands vary from which make and model you choose to drive, or maybe even just test drive, cause when you step foot into one, then the adrenaline rush varies by what you would want in any brand of this great, longtime brand, with lots of media speculation. The brands passenger capacity has the most capacity in the great Cadillac Escalade, so it all varies with the model you would ask for, you have to know what you want in this great company of cars, so the choice is yours, SUV or regular. The distinct appearance of a Cadillac goes to show you quality arithmetic, in every make and model of a Cadillac, especially Cadillac CTSs, in which I believe is 2015s best model on Cadillacs behalf... so there you have it--integrity with just about any Cadillac model, new or old. So go out and buy a new or used model today.

Even though it was a boat ride to on the outside it was a very good car to me. The interior was in the best of shape. It did not have any holes in the seats. Down the road, that car will need a new water pump and all new water hoses within a year after the oil incident. That may run another $1000. The car also has under 70K miles. Never again will I buy a Cadillac. Even if they address the quality issues, I will not own something that has $700 brake lights. If I fixed everything on it before I got rid of it, I would have spent a total of $4530 or $226.50/month in repairs. This is not counting everything I spent running premium fuel in it. I cannot believe the poor quality from Cadillac, the second oldest American car brand.

The CTS is mid sized sedan. Only had 12,000 miles on it at the time of purchase. The lease came with bumper to bumper warranty for 100,000 miles. Everything from the paint job to the interior was beautiful. It has Italian leather seats with full sunroof. While stylish, it lacks the leg room we all keep hoping for year after year. Hopefully engineers will figure this one out. Its been long overdue for such a beautiful car. Dealership assisted in the entire process making the buying experience their top priority. They were easy to talk to and understand. Personalized options are available upon request. Full detail car wash and oil change at dealership.

Two criminals broke into my garage and stole my locked Cadillac CTS with ease. My wallet, purse, license, more than ten credit cards, and many other items of value were in the car, and still, havent been recovered. I called the police and was told that the car would stop in about a half mile. That was not the case. They stopped to get snacks and completely trashed the car, before going on a joyride in circles across town. The police ended up finding the car, one of the criminals was found, the other took off with my purse, which contained once again, my wallet (which contained more than two hundred dollars.), around ten credit cards, both my drivers and military license, and many others valuables. They also found meth in the car. Wonderful. When we spoke to the police about the incident, they had no words. They told us to go straight to the manufacturers about this, as they were clueless how this occurred. How my Cadillac CTS was able to drive OVER fifty miles without keys! When we spoke with the man who broke into the car, he didnt even know how it worked. Meaning that the car drove without any help. He was charged with theft, breaking and entering, and possession of narcotics. he dropped his partner off somewhere before he was caught, we told him we would drop some of the charges if he gave her, and the money up, but he wouldnt budge. His partner is STILL missing with all of my belongings. I would NEVER recommend this to friends or family, or anyone really. After doing research, I have found that this is not the first time that a Cadillac CTS has driven without keys, allowing criminals to get away with thousands of dollars, and other important items. Another customer lost, Cadillac. I will be going to the media and sharing this, to ensure nothing similar to this happens again.

High grade luxury truck that is just as good or better than the rest. Had a Nissan truck before this but it cannot measure up to an Escalade. Pretty much power everything - almost too much power I had to turn some of the stuff off such as the seat that moves back when you shut off the ignition. Picked up rugged ridge floor mats, upgrade the speakers which sucked and put on a hood protector. Do yourself a favor and get the fuses which light up when they go bad. Saves a lot of hunting around for the problem. Will fit 5 people in comfort for hundreds of miles at a time and also tow whatever you need to take to the countryside - truck is the best at doing this. Best truck I ever had.

In February 2018 I bought a used 2006 Cadillac CTS with 78314 miles on it. Had it 2 days and cylinder 1 started missing, took it back and they repaired the problem. No cost to me. On April 1st Easter Sunday I was driving to my familys home in Rosedale MD about 50 miles from my home. About 23 miles into the trip I looked in the rearview mirror and saw nothing but white smoke so I pulled over to the shoulder of a busy highway. Once I stopped the car, turned it off and popped the hood I saw fluid pouring out of the bottom of the car. Started the car back up to move it further in from the line of traffic but when I put it in gear it wouldnt move, turns out the fluid was Transmission fluid. Waited 3 1/2 hours for a tow and never made it to Easter Dinner. The next day I was contacted by the service station to tell me the transmission line going to the cooling radiator unit had blown and both the radiator and line needed replaced and that was gonna cost $850. So within 2 months car has been out of service twice. Not happy with Cadillac at this point as they will not stand behind any of their flaws in their cars. You would think a high quality name like Cadillac would want to keep their reputation good. I guess my next high quality vehicle will be either Lexus or BMW. Sad Cadillac doesnt have better management who cares about their reputation instead of them just getting a fat paycheck. Cadillac its time to rethink your corporate structure!!!

I liked how many models there was for me and my wife. We decided for the midsize LS. It has a shiny black exterior paint and grey interior, with a nice navigational system. I also had hundreds of choices to make as far as the extras. I had a hard time choosing but I settled for the chrome rims, tinted windows, and the sunroof. The car can seat up to 5 people, enough room for me and my family.

There is many different choices you can pick from when it comes to upgrades and whatnot, but mine was bought used, so it came with whatever. My Cadillac is a goldish color and black and it has beautiful tires and the rims are gold as well. This car is one of the best cars I could possibly have. It has a child protection car seat and airbags and it stops when it senses a car wreck. The passenger capability is very good as well because it has a safe proof belt as in seatbelt because in case of an accident it actually holds everything down. Driving is very easy. The car is faster with the new oils and much safer and you can drive anywhere as possible as you want even in mountains and snow sometimes and rain. It is very amazing and I would suggest this car to anyone if possible.

He states that part is no longer made. It is now made by AC Delco. The problem is that part is not the same and does not fit. He suggested contacting Cadillac. Cindy at Cadillac said I had few options including a junk yard part. I said that would not be acceptable because of being a public transportation company safety is a concern. This car is out of service and costing money daily. Are they required to have new parts for 10 years or what? Thanks.

There are few updates that I made to my Cadillac since it is a classic model, however the ones that are made are excellent, you could say that they have given the size. The design of the car allows it to be more spacious, I can usually get up to 6 people of medium size in my car.

Leased a 2014 Cadillac in November of 2014. Had no issues with the car up until March of 2016, when use of the air conditioner resulted in a strong musty odor being blown in my face. Took the vehicle to the local Cadillac dealership, Holman Cadillac, in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, where I was told the musty odor was a result of mold development on the air conditioning evaporator. After treatment at HOLMAN Cadillac with some type of chemical they used, the vehicle was left reeking of a strong chemical odor. Holman service personnel told me the odor was not harmful, and would dissipate in a few days, but it did not. Six days later with the first use of the air conditioner I ended up at the emergency room after coughing and spitting up blood with use of the vehicle. Holman has denied that there is any chemical odor in the vehicle whatsoever, in spite of a GM inspector, an industrial hygienist, and another Cadillac service manager confirming the chemical odor. GM has refused to allow any Cadillac dealership to do warranty work on the 11,000 mile vehicle, as one can only presume they are concerned about possible litigation due to their defective vehicle. At this point, I have a vehicle with no HVAC system, and I am forced to drive in hundred plus degree weather with NO A/C, and in downpours with the windows open due to NO DEFROSTER. Nobody at HOLMAN Cadillac or at GM could care less if I live or die, as I have now been HOSPITALIZED a second time after an attempt to use the AC with the windows down as temperatures reached 95 degrees. I am now forced to go buy another vehicle just to go to work, as it is unsafe to drive the Cadillac. I hope that someone can benefit from what Im typing here as I had to type it four times.

I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS 3.6L engine with less than 87,000 miles on it. About 2 weeks ago, a screw had somehow backed itself out of one of the gears and caused major damage to my vehicle. The valve cover is shredded, cracked cylinder head and a piece broke off the cast iron timing chain cover. I reported it to Cadillac in hope of them standing by their product and customer loyalty and in turn they have said its not covered under the powertrain warranty. At Cadillacs request, I had the car towed to Don Massey Cadillac because they were supposed to have a reputation for good customer service. That is very wrong. They took almost 5 days to look at my car and give a diagnosis. Now the mechanic that is going to fix the car is on vacation and has three weeks of work before he could get to my car. If the dealership would have looked at the car in a timely manner the mechanic could have looked at it sooner and at least got the parts ordered. I am now going to be at least another month without my car because Cadillac wasted my time. I will NEVER buy another Cadillac or GM product. This car has never been abused or had modifications done to it. Every oil change has had synthetic oil put into it. I am very dissatisfied with the Cadillac brand of luxury. There is nothing luxury about how they treat their customers.

I purchased an extended warranty from Cadillac for $3,500. The warranty has the Cadillac Warranty all over the papers that were signed. My engine blew after 3 years (80k miles) and Cadillac said the manufacturers warranty was over and the warranty THEY sold me they could not support since it was a third party warranty. Facts: This is not a Cadillac Warranty. After numerous calls Cadillac informed me it was not their warranty and they could not help (even though their logo is all over what was sold). Cadillac is given incentives to sell third party warranties and allows them to put their logos on the warranty to make it appear it is a Cadillac sponsor and supported warranty. Third party warranty held my car for over month to fix while only giving 10 days of vehicle rental allowance. Third party failed to rebuild engine and it went out again and wanted to charge me additional $3,500 to fix after it. This happened the moment I drove it off of lot from dealership that was paid to replace it. Beware of what you are signing. The dealership I purchased this from has said their hands are tied due to Cadillac not supporting them in helping the consumer. After spending $90k on a vehicle I expected more from a brand and the services they sell you.

Before I go into my review...I should have known! I am the sucker! GM has a great marketing Dept. Years ago, my dad owned a 2000 Seville DHS Sedan. It had major issues with door actuators and ignition key jamming. Cadillac of Troy charged my dad big money to fix. It never got fixed. I remember the ignition key jamming a week before we sold that car after dad passed away. Our mom had a 1998 Cadillac Eldorado STS 2 door coupe. She hated that car and sold it. Said it was a piece of junk. So after both our parents pass away, what do I do??? I buy me a 2010 Cadillac SRX Performance Edition AWD. A week after I bought it, it rained real hard. I had swimming pools in the driver’s side and passengers side. I bought it used BTW. Researched roof leaks to find out 300,000 of these had the same issuer and there was an ongoing class action suit by people vs the state of California. Didnt help me, I am in Michigan. After I hollered lemon law, the used car dealer finally goes ahead and fixes the roof leak. Took them two months. I get the vehicle back and check engine light goes on. I have a P0017 code, possible bad timing chain. Finally after crying for 4 months, I get the warranty people (GWC Warranty) to finally fix my timing chain. WoooHhhooo!!! Dont get your hopes up too soon, for a week later, I have a P2135 code. Cadillac forums tells me I have a bad TPS sensor, but its better to replace the throttle body for its all built in. I do that.Three days after new throttle body I get a P0442 code. Possible bad purge valve solenoid sensor. Replaced that too. Did it myself. Got the parts online from BOSCH. Didnt feel like renting another car for a week while the warranty people Fixed my Cadillac. A week later I have a P0455 code, EVAP large leak detected. Now I have an appointment with Suburban Cadillac of Ann Arbor tomorrow 11/15/18 for them to run a smoke test to pinpoint what exactly is wrong with my Cadillac. Not fixing it. Mind you just the test, hopefully I go from there. Praying the good Lord shines luck my wait and the darn thing runs trouble and worry free for 1 year. For paying $13,999 USD with a service warranty putting it at $16,000 I was hoping for better reliability than this.

I purchased a brand new 2013 Cadillac ATS 2.5. I took for a test drive and in motion, it rides well. However, when this vehicle is at a stop sign or stop light or general stop. Vehicle starts to shake, vibrate and misfires. This vibration is so annoying it makes this nice looking vehicle appear to be a clunker. There is a so-called software fix or technical bulletin for this problem. However, it did not work for this vehicle. So I am forced to take vehicle to Better Business Bureau and possible through Floridas Lemon Law Arbitration. I am so disappointed in Cadillac and GM . I purchased the 2015 Cadillac Escalade SUV before it came out. I purchased it in Aug. of 2014. I was so happy to be one of the only people in my area to drive the new model Cadillac Escalade. Everything was going great until I noticed the transmission slipping when I hit the gas. I took it into the nearby Cadillac dealer in Burlingame CA. They are called PUTNAM Cadillac. I pulled up to the service line. After I told them I was having issues with transmission. They told me to wait. I waited 20-30 mins later ask what happened. They told me, You didnt buy your car from us so just keep quiet and wait until we are ready to help you. Wow this was a shock to me. I couldnt believe a big brand company would say something like this. They kept my care for a 1-2 weeks and told me the slipping is normal. I had no choice but to believe them. I am not a mechanic but Im sure I know when a transmission slips. Anyway I took off. Also the navigation was freezing and the steps were not working properly. They also replaced the electrical harness said it was bad. Then 1 month later the steering started clicking. Long story short after 4 visits to the same dealer. They ended up replacing the complete steering console. NOT SURE WHY THEY WOULD HAVE LET ME DRIVE. MY FAMILY AROUND ALL THIS TIME IF THEY KNOW THE PROBLEM COULDNT GET FIXED. I could have gotten in a accident and took my family with me.Since I purchased this car for the family. After all the problems I had to buy my wife a minivan (while still paying for the Cadillac payments) because she didnt feel safe in the Cadillac. She didnt even let me take the kids anywhere. So I ended up purchasing a truck so I could safely drive my kids around and not loss my marriage over the Cadillac. After they replaced the steering console the clicking went away but now the steering console is loose. Wow what the hell is going on here. If this is not a lemon vehicle then I dont know what is. I just got off the phone with Cadillacs rep. They said, What do you want?. I told them I want my money bad at the least (minus any wear and tear. Im a very fair person, but I dont want to be taken advantage of.). They said That is impossible, but we will forward your info to the higher ranked people in GM. So I will wait to hear from them and see what they say. My overall experience with my beautiful Cadillac has been amazing. My Cadillac was the first luxury car Ive ever owned or purchased. It was pricier than other cars Ive owned but Ive never once regretted this purchase. This car has taken me amazing places and has been completely dependable and reliable. I love the sleek, modern look of my Cadillac CTS. This car’s interior features are what had me sold. This car contains a beautiful leather interior with heated seats and is extremely spacious inside. The only thing that I dislike about it is the poor gas mileage my Cadillac gets. There have been times Ive been on long commutes and have watched the gas gauge go down in front of my eyes.

2003 Cadillac CTS - The plastic covering fell off without my knowledge, I didnt know when or where. When inquiring about repair at the dealer, I was told it would cost $900.00. I know this is a widespread problem especially with the older Cadillac CTS, as I have read other complaints and been told by mechanics this is a design flaw. We presently own 2 Cadillacs and have purchased 5 within the last 10 years. As a loyal GM customer for 20 years, we are dissatisfied that there does not seem to be a practical solution to this seemingly widespread problem for CTS owners, other than replacing part of the trunk. Why cant GM or my dealer (Labadie) make the plastic covering available so anybody can just glue it back in position? Its not rocket science, its just a piece of plastic that was glued on.

2011 Cadillac SRX Luxury Collection Delegance - Anyone who buys this year/model car should beware of the issues. I was fortunate enough to unload this car and I couldnt be happier that I am rid of it. It was in the shop at least once a month after the warranty was over. I could not afford to keep taking it to the mechanic for one thing after another and there are no decent warranties available to cover it over 60k. I drive a lot (obviously its a 2011 and it had over 70k when I got rid of it). Cadillac should offer a much longer warranty if they are going to sell a crossover or any other vehicle that needs repairing as much as this. There is no piece of mind with this car. The navigation was always broken and the pop up screen is a joke. The starter was fixed twice, the water pump was bad, the belts were bad, it overheated constantly, it was making thumping noises toward the end so I knew the transmission was about to go. If Cadillac considers elegance as waiting for another tow truck, then they did a good job. I couldnt wait to get my new Land Rover but I dont think I will ever get out from under that Cadillac.

Cadillac offers and includes very unique models. The one I purchased has incredible handling and speed. Its red and black with white stripes. It has black tires and white rims. It also has ornaments and tattoos. It has auto-pilot and TVs inside of it. Its personalization options are unlimited as are all the other cars Ive purchased. Ive upgraded the engine and the tires for a more rounded car. I recommend Cadillacs to all of my family and friends. Its price however is a bit unreasonable. Furthermore, the passenger capacity is not very good. You can only fit 2 people in the car including the driver. Id much rather have a 4 seater car than a 2 seater car. But it was an enjoyable experience.

I have a 2009 Cadillac SRX AWD Sport (top of the line!). The sticker was for $52,170. It is the most expensive piece of crap I have ever purchased. But I am stuck with it because the CARFAX and Repair history, basically, makes it non-tradable or sellable. This car has been in the shop about every 2 1/2 weeks over the 2 years I have owned it. 46 issues have been fixed or replaced. I called Cadillac Customer Service for help. I was assigned a District Rep, who does not call me back, and never answers his phone when I call. He has been dodging me for over a month now. I want my B2B warranty extended to cover the stuff that keeps falling off, because I only have 3k miles left on the factory B2B, and the extended GM warranty does not cover things like trim, vents, handles, doors, etc.The district rep said When you make as many cars as Cadillac, some of them are not going to be perfect and then proceeded to get me to hang up the phone. I have not gotten to speak with him since. I guess, once Cadillac has written you off, you are dust to them. The dealership has been wonderful but GM/Cadillac, not so much. Some of the things had to be argued to get it fixed.

I purchased a new 2013 Cadillac CTS Coupe in July 2013. A week after purchasing the car, I noticed a popping sound when I put the car in reverse and turned the wheels. The dealership determined that the rear differential must be replaced. They replaced rear differential and 2 month later, the right rear differential seals were leaking fluid. Car returned to dealer for this repair. I have since contacted an attorney to pursue a buyback from Cadillac under the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. The right side weather stripping/molding had to be replaced as it would not seal completely and water would enter my vehicle when it rains or when at the car wash. Cadillac says this does not qualify as a defect therefore they are only willing to grant a minimal goodwill cash offer. Cadillac/General Motors is pathetic.

I bought a car from our agency in Dubai Liberty. They sell GM Motors cars. I bought a Cadillac CTS 2011 V6. In the beginning, the car is great and without any problem. It’s the best car I ever drove in my life and I gave it as a gift for my wife. She was more than happy to have a CTS. She drove it till the first service. We took it to the service in Dubai (Garhood branch). After the service by 3 weeks, we were coming from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and driving at normal speed of 130 km/h, then suddenly the we heard a bomb sound and a smoke coming from the engine. Thank God we stopped and no one crashed us from back. The street was full of oil from the damaged engine. We called the street help and then we took the car to the service at Garhood branch in Dubai. And after a day they called us and said, “Sorry, the engine is damaged. We will send an approval to GM mother company to change the engine. But we don’t want to repair it because it wasn’t our mistake.” The car must be changed and they ignored me. Kindly support me in this.

I purchased 2004 Cadillac SRX and thought it was a nice car. That has turned out to be the complete opposite. As of this writing, the car has only 90000 miles, the engine has been replaced, and for what my dealer said was a dropped valve. The radiator has been replaced, the transmission and/or its parts, and so many other problems that are too numerous to mention here. The car was towed in again last night with a bad water pump. The dealer said it is still under warranty and will cost me nothing, thus, being the good news. The bad news is the transfer case chain is slipping and is going to be 1,700.00 dollars. I thought, how much have I spent on that car? I called Matt, the service manager and he only said its a ridiculous amount of money. I suppose the bills on this car is well over what I spent buying the car 2-fold. I want to mention the $400.00 headlight and the $1000.00 plus radiator that got broken while fixing the engine, that I paid for. I have owned several Cadillacs and that my friend is about to change. I wish this to be over.

I have a 2011 Cadillac SRX. My check engine light started coming on back in Jan of 2016 and going out on and off for three months. I had auto zone check codes. They was po171 & po174. I looked them up on the computer technical description system too lean (bank2) po171 & po174. Very similar auto zone description, said too much oxygen in exhaust so I change two O2 upstream sensor light, still on then po174 mean mass air sensor light still coming on & off. I had the dealer here in Merrillville in. They had my car all day and told me I needed to replace all 6 injector $2500. I told them to close my hood and I was picking my car up. I do all my work myself so everyone having check engine light I started to check myself. The problem was replace. The evaporative emissions purge control valve price $ 41.47 when I installed the light went out. That valve will make your car run bad, make your trans shift funny on my car. The purge valve is right behind the throttle body. I hope this will help someone having check engine. If someone need help email me. PS I purchase my SRX new in Aug 2011. I only got 65000 miles and I service my car regular and the dealer said I needed new injector. I knew that was a lie. The dealer are out to rip you off.

I have a 2006 Cadillac SRX. Its been a bottomless pit for ongoing repairs... Purchased with under 40K miles ... problems started immediately Within a month, CD player started not functioning properly (has Nav). Brought to the dealer. Repair: R + R head unit... cost $2500 + labor $2500...? You can buy a hell of a home stereo for a lot less!! All it needed was to have the laser aligned and it was replaced with some other unit from Cadillac (remember R & R no actual fixing here) so someone else has my used $2500 player that probably took about 2 minutes to realign the laser... What was I expecting for $2500?Very quickly found that the car uses a quart of oil about every 1000... Do you want to hear what the Cadillac tech told me when I asked him what should I do? He said, I recommend keeping a case of oil in the back - nice. The cars original sticker was $55K. The steering rack at 40K started to leak... R & R 1000 bucks later... brought home. Next morning, the AC Delco unit they put in leaked worse. They replaced it... Does that mean it was free?At 60K, the right front wheel bearings at $450. I cant tell you how many times Ive had to replace the right front directional at $125. Now I use my fist with a good glove and bash the directional and at least for a while it comes back on (Cadillac glove) - saves a few $100 every year. About 80K, the left front wheel bearing replaced... another $450 repair. Did you know some places on the road get almost $10 for a quart of synthetic Mobil One? Is that synthetic or pathetic? I lost track of how many quarts Ive added in 4 years...I actually had a pretty good stretch for awhile until last week... just turned 100k... Seems the timing chain loosened up, slipped a couple of teeth, valve spring broke, bent a valve and put a hole in the valve cover. $55K and the motor cant go 100K without detonating... As I write, the motor is apart waiting for GM parts (Please...cant we use some aftermarket parts instead?) This bill ought to be a whopper! Ive spent more money on this car for maintenance than the last 10 cars I have owned. Buy American? Buy GM? NEVER AGAIN.

On October 22, 2018, the CUE system on my 2016 Cadillac SRX, serial #3GYFNCE35GS548248 malfunctioned. The car had approximately 30,000 miles on it when I took it in to Myrtle Beach Chevrolet-Cadillac, in Myrtle Beach, SC, for repair. After they began the repair, they observed that I had drilled a hole in the rear of the storage compartment which is below the CUE screen & informed me that warranty would not cover the repair because I had altered the unit. They were very nice, and I am aware they have rules to go by, but this hole touched no wire or circuit board. The malfunction was not due to the hole I drilled in no way, but it was a defect in the CUE unit. There are forums all over the internet discussing the problems that Cadillac is having with the CUE system. On October 22, 2018, I contacted Cadillac Customer Service and talked to Shenevia, who set up case **. She told me she would be back in touch with me in seven days with a decision. She called back approximately ever seven days, telling me a decision had not been made, and on November 15, 2018, she called and told me that Cadillac had denied the claim. I do not agree with their decision & I do not think it was a fair & honest, because the hole I drilled had nothing to do with the malfunction of the CUE system. It is common knowledge that the CUE system has been a problem since day one! If I had drilled into a wire or circuit board, I would not be writing this letter. I could understand if Cadillac had paid for the repair, but billed me Core Charge, but I feel it is not an HONEST decision for the claim to be denied. Cadillac is using a small technicality to avoid paying for their mistakes!I have been a GM person all my life and always respected their reputation, but this case makes me wonder. I owned a Chevrolet Dealership in North Myrtle Beach, SC from 1981 until 1991 & presently own a 2017 Corvette, 2014 Cadillac CTS, and a 2016 Cadillac SRX, and I am aware that my business is like a Pea in the ocean! Sometimes COMMON SENSE should be an exception to rule! I would really appreciate you reviewing my case again.

I had submitted a review in June after having been told by Cadillac that I was SOL regarding the issue I had with the OEM tires on my 2017 XT5. Fortunately, I complained to my dealer and told them I wouldn’t be back after my lease was up. The dealer intervened on my behalf with Cadillac and shockingly, they were successful where I had not been....I received a check for full reimbursement for the Continental tires I replaced the OEM Michelin tires with. According to the lady with the dealership that handles warranty issues, there should not have been an issue with Cadillac refusing my claim as there had been a Bulletin issued regarding the problem with the tires!! So...I have a decision to make....I’m happy with my dealer, but still unhappy with Cadillac! I will at least consider another Caddy, but not a slam dunk for me like it once was! I will also consider others as well! Remember when you bought a Cadillac knowing you were buying quality? Not so much anymore. One would think the manufacturer would figure that out. Regardless, I felt I should tell “the rest of the story”!

When new, my 2006 CTS with 3.6 liter V-6 used about 3 quarts of oil per 5000 miles. At 70,000 it was using 7 to 8 quarts per 5000 miles. At 93,000 it uses 9-10 quarts per 5000 miles. I bought an after market warranty for 8 years but kept getting the song and dance from the original service desk, and the next dealer did the same, after we moved across the country. The first dealer said oil usage was tolerable and should be ignored. Second dealer said the aluminum heads caused excessive oil use, not to worry. I told him my Toyota with well over 100,000 miles had an aluminum head and had never used a drop of oil. Then the service rep said bring it in after he was free from all these recalls and hed have a look. He said the engine would be drained and Mobil 1 synthetic oil would be put in the engine and Id have to return to the garage to get oil added so the system could be monitored. I told the service rep I had Mobil 1 five-quart jugs marked with mileage readings and I had been monitoring oil consumption since the car was new. The engine burned nothing but Mobil 1 oil. I told him repairing this engine was not an option, because it burned oil when new. It needed a different engine that would bolt in. I offered to buy an engine, but not the same 3.6 liter from Opel. He said I could schedule an appointment when the engine man came back. Had I been told the engine was from Opel, I would never have bought the car. I had to learn that on the internet. I thought Cadillac learned not to do this in the 1980s after they sold a low grade Cavalier with an Opel engine and called it a Cadillac. GM used to make good engines. Cadillac was a flagship product. What has happened? I dont blame GM, since the mistake was mine in buying a Cadillac. I recognized the decision was a big risk. But mostly Im just disappointed GM continues to market Cadillac heavily with glitz and sex appeal and make such a horrible product. How many American consumers must be duped?

I purchased my first Cadillac (2015 SRX with approximately 20,000 miles) in December 2016. The CUE system was replaced in January 2017. Also in January 2017, 2 emissions related sensors had to be replaced. Later in 2017, another sensor had to be replaced. In October 2018, both front end wheel bearings and windshield washer sprayer had to be replaced at about 58,000 miles. In January 2019, the purge solenoid thingie had to be replaced at about 65,000 miles -- a recall that wasnt officially classified as a recall. In May 2019, my car wouldnt start as if the fairly new battery was dead. Dealer ran a diagnostic check. No problems were detected. Now at almost 72,000 miles, the CUE system is malfunctioning again. I plan for this to be my last Cadillac. I am now shopping for a Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan, Honda or any other dependable brand to replace this Cadillac lemon.

Bought my 2013 SRX off the showroom floor. Love it, my wife drives it to work and it is garage keep. After 30,000 had to have a new battery. When the warranty ran out in July 2017, the next month the CUE system locked up and the dealer wanted 1400.00 to replace it. Then I argue and beg that I am only two months out of warranty, then they replace it for 325.00. So I did some research and found the company that makes the CUE system (Infotainment) and contacted customer service who gave me a additional warranty on the system til 2022 or 123,000 miles. Now my heated seats do not work, I am a retired GM employee of 36 years and getting disgusted with this car. I drive a 2000 Cadillac STS 97,000 miles six CD changer still works along with the radio and the heated seats are hot. At 30,000 new battery, 48,000 replace CUE system and now the heated seats do not work.at 50,322 miles. The Cadillac dealer wants 900.00 dollars to fix. The passenger side worked the night before I took it to the dealer (Delaware Cadillac) and now neither works. Initially the service advisor told me 1600.00, but after discussing the problem with GM, they decided to pay 50%. If they are having a problem with the heated seats it should be fully covered. I am not happy as being a GM employee of 36 years. Maybe time for a change.

Lights come on all by itself. Had to disconnect battery. Dealership said I needed a module, I think that is what it was called. 1,900.00.. Kept car for 2 months. Whenever it would rain hard, my car would flood with water in the back floor board.. Now my car can sit for 2 days and I drive it, and make my stops 5 or 6 stops, get into car and car wont start, need a jump. Happened 2 times in 2 weeks. At 70,000 miles I needed a new engine. I can go on and on about the brand new Cadillac CTS that I bought brand new in 2003. I will never buy another Cadillac as long as I live. And this is just some of the problems that I have had. I havent even listed all of them. Car seat wouldnt go forward for 1 month, then it would. Gas hand would work and then it wouldnt. I honestly think that if you can call Onstar and they open your door for you, then they can do things to your car to make you bring it into the dealership. That is what I think. A 40,000.00 car you wouldnt think would give you so many problems, but I have learned my lesson. And they just called me yesterday to get me to try and trade it in for another Cadillac, Ha!!!

I have a 2008 XLR with 2 years warranty outstanding. The nav system has been replaced 3 times in 22K miles. Now it does not work because it needs a new east coast disc. The discs are on national backorder, which means that Cadillac has no idea when, if ever, new discs will be available. GM has no control over its vendors is a direct quote from a head office representative (number and name available on request). I believe that Cadillac knew in 2008 that there would be no replacements since they stopped offering 2 yearly disc updates in the sale price of the vehicle. I was offered 300 minutes of On Star or 2 years of free oil changes, but would still leave me without a nav system. Can anyone swap an east coast disc for an unused west coast disc? There are many more that I dont have a repair order detail for. The SRX was in the Miller (now Baker) service shop, most of 2011. At times, when the light would appear, I would stop in, and the service adviser would clear it, if it was the same codes. No repair order appeared. At present, the check engine light is on, and has been on since early Dec. 2011. I was told to drive it.During 2011, Leo from Cadillac customer service would frequently contact me. I gave him an update, but I saw no action to help resolve this repetitive problem. The district rep, Tom **, is not willing to work with me, and is thwarting any resolution. I bought a new 2011 Escalade ESV. The rims are rusting and flaking, and the chrome trim package is rusting. Cadillac and the dealership’s response is that its from chemicals put on the road and its not their problem. My Escalade never is dirty. When I drive on snowy roads, its washed immediately. In 45 years of owning vehicles, Ive never had a vehicle with rust problems. I bought an $82,000 Escalade. I have rust issues and I have lived in snow country all my life so I know all about chemicals on the roads. This is my last Cadillac. Dont make the same mistake I did. Stay away from Cadillac. It a good car and it helps me get to where I am going.

My dad had Cadillac for years. Ive known many people who have had Cadillacs. They are extremely comfortable to sit in and drive. The cars takes curves well. I love my car. I like leather seats. Its luxurious. The seats are really to the point to where you can fall asleep. It also has seat warmers so when its cold out your back will be warm. It also has a Bose radio so sound is really good. It has a large trunk and great for carrying Christmas trees. The color is a warm beige and has gloss on it. However, the headrests dont hit me right. My head hits the metal part. Also, the air conditioner has broken down already.

I have severe scratch/scuff marks on my black SRX 2012 from the door moldings rubbing against the paint on inner door frames. This happened within three months of owning the vehicle. The dealer in consultation with GM engineers tried to soften the moldings using Kry-tox lubricant and polished the existing scratches out. Within 3 weeks the problem is back.I am now in discussions with main GM office for a more long term solution. They are suggesting 3m tape but this product peels and yellows over time and I feel this is just a band aid solution. The company that does this in my town stated this to me as well. They have not agreed to putting new weather stripping on, which may not be the solution either. But they have commented that this design flaw will be addresses with future models. Great, but this does not help me...! I dont know what the answer is, but they do not appear to be that worried that I am disappointed in paying big bucks for something that is not the quality that they lead customers to believe they are paying for.If anyone has this vehicle, please check this as it is not that apparent on lighter color vehicles. I also had rust already on the cross bar under the grill, and this had to be repainted as it comes from the factory with just a coat of primer! The dealer said not many people would notice this issue but check it out. Please comment if you have had any of these concerns. Will never buy another based on this experience. You are paying for the name but not the quality, and this is not fun!

During the last 18 months, I have had to replace all four (4) of the window regulators on my 2004 DeVille. The one on the driver’s rear was replaced on 6/17/10; that on the passenger front on 9/30/2010; the driver front window regulator was replaced on 12/31/10; and the passenger rear’s regulator was also replaced on 1/22/12. This would almost be funny if it wasnt so sad. This is fundamentally a quality issue with a supplier or a product specification issue with Cadillac. Either way, to have something like this happen to a Cadillac and 3 of the 4 within 6 months, makes me question Cadillacs commitment to overall product quality. To make matters worse, when I called Cadillac and opened a case requesting some recompense, they simply offered the canned response: “off warranty, too old and too many miles for us to be concerned with.” Well, they may have gotten the benefit of the parts sales thru the dealer (this was almost $600/regulator), but I will not buy another Cadillac. Too bad, this was my 3rd.

Bought my XT5 in December of 2020. It has been the worst thing I could have done. I traded my Lexus and I am so disappointed in Cadillac. I took it in 3 times for them to try and fix, Parking Brake, All wheel drive system, StabiliTrak, steering assist. My dash was lit up like a Christmas tree only to find out after 3 times there was a corroded wiring harness and then a bad camera. After all of that, I had a flood under my gas pedal that soaked over to the passenger side too, so I took it in a fourth time. This vehicle stalled on me driving south bound Interstate 75. I have called Cadillac customer service 3 times to report this safety issue and they have not bothered to call me back. Shame on Cadillac on the lack of response to a serious safety concern! Really regret trading my Lexus. Dont buy Cadillac!!!! They clearly do not care about safety concerns.

Cadillac brings a excellent model. I had no problems with this car for a while because it was just so good of a car. A few distinct features that this car had was the interior. It was a perfect leather, very comfy to relax on and also the car was a very steady car. I painted my car from white to black just to make it look better because I liked the color. The passenger quality is phenomenal. Everyone who got in the car was very relaxed because the seats were perfect and no one gave a negative comment. Cadillac is a really good type of car to own.

This sunroof started leaking water after I had the car about 5 years. I have a 2009 Cadillac CTS sedan. The first time this happened the car was still under warranty. Everything in the front was soaking, the dashboard, the floor, the seats, the doors. We had a hard rain the night before so I rented a carport to keep my car in. But, every year since then, any time there is any moisture or rain in the air, it affects the electrical system, the check engine light comes on, and after they get through with repairs I have at least a $500 bill. The water is still an issue with other parts of my car. Water damaged seat motor on my drivers side. $1100 bill for used motor that was in another car. The whole electrical system that controls the movements of the seats had to be replaced.

I bought an SRX 2013 because I saw them out on the street and I liked them.. Worst mistake.. It has been a nightmare after another.. The cooling fan runs by itself.. Took it to a GMC mechanic 3 times changing different parts every time, works fine for few days and start acting up again..to the point that I had also to get a new battery because the other one got worn out.. Headlights are a nightmare.. Also changed them. Still not good.. Cadillac sent a letter about a class action on this matter, they had reject to pay me back because lack of proof even tho I sent the estimate and receipt.. I can keep going but it would be pages.. Just dont buy a cadillac.. Youll get yourself into a nightmare.

There is a lot of different models of Cadillac. They are nice cars... Prestigious and luxurious. What more can I say? Its a 1991 Cadillac Sedan DeVille in mint condition that doesnt need personalization. It is a full size car with a split bench front seat, and can hold six passengers. It is a classic that commands attention wherever I go. The gas station or supermarket people approach me to admire it.

I got my 2013 Cadillac SRX back in March and have put several miles on it since I got it. I am at almost 54,000 miles now. Started hearing a weird sound and found out that it was my left rear wheel bearing. My warranty ran out at 50,000 so the dealership would not fix at no cost. Took it to my local garage and they fixed it at the tune of $350.00. I have never had a wheel bearing go out on any of my past cars. It is just disappointing that a car with this few miles would have an issue like this. I asked the guy at the garage what made this happen and he said usually it is from age, but that a car that is only a few years old should not have this issue. Said it was probably a defect in the bearing. If that is the case I believe that Cadillac should have repaired it at no cost to me. Love my Cadillac. It is just disappointing after only having this car for a few months. I hope other 2013 Cadillac SRX owners dont have the same problem.

My son graduated from college last month and was lucky enough to find a job
My son graduated from college last month and was lucky enough to find a job prior to graduating. He bought his first nice car, a beautiful 2005 STS Cadillac. We noticed that the car was burning oil. In 4,000 miles, the car went through 7 quarts of oil which is unbelievable for a car with 62,000 miles and had been serviced 36 times by Cadillac dealerships according to the faux report. The dealership tells us that the car needs new pistons and rings. The cost is $3,500 to fix the vehicle. When we bought the car, it had a $1,500 guarantee if there were any problems with the car. They do this on different brands of used cars. I emailed GM Cadillac division and received an email that they were happy to help and would contact us the next day which they did. I explained to them that there has been multiple complaints about that model and that this was a defect and I would hope they could help my son with the cost of the overhaul. The second person I talked to told me that the most they could help was the $1,500 from the dealership like they were involved which this was already offered from the lot where we bought the car. I then asked for the supervisor whose name is Roy. I told him that I have never heard of a car with 66,000 miles going through 7 quarts of oil in 4,000 miles and especially a high-end car. The bottom line is he said there’s nothing he could do about it. I realized that there is probably nothing that can be done but I am in customer service for a large company and cant believe that they offered no help especially with social media nowadays.

Lots of option choices to customize your experience. Highly recommend getting something you will use or just something you think is cool and will love. Highly recognizable from a distance. Sets this car apart from most. You can fit more people comfortably in this car than youd think. Its a full size car with plenty of leg room for driver and passengers. Standard features are incredible for any brand of vehicle but options are even better. The standard package alone is enough to want this car but add options to it and its unbelievable. Stereos, wheels, GPS, etc. The list goes on forever. Look up a dealer online and check it out. Go for a test drive! You wont regret it!

I have had nothing but problems, after spending 50,000 dollars on a car, you would think it would be a nice car. CUE UNIT IS DEFECTIVE!!! The dealership says a hard reset will fix it, but we have had them do this 2 minute hard reset to our C.T.S and it still does not fix the actual problem. They need to recall this CUE system. I know they have a major problem in all the models of Cadillac. But they deny it. Im so upset with this problem!!! Can anyone help us!!!

I purchased a 2012 Cadillac SRX about 8 months ago. The lift arms that keep the back hatch up both had to be replaced. I have had an ongoing intermittent problem with the display being static or shutting completely off. The vehicle is having an idle problem when the vehicle is stopped and when accelerating. When I expressed my frustration to the service manager, he told me, Well, GM makes the car; we have nothing to do with that. I responded that they sold me the car. I want the vehicle fixed and I dont want to bring the car in for a third time for the same problem.

I think the Cadillac is one of the most beautiful vehicles there is. They have a high class look and the interior is always immaculate. They are always one of the first to upgrade to the highest quality of merchandise and are always up to date. The technology is always high class and superb, and I am always happy with the newest gadgets they have. They offer a very good variety of cars and I was very happy when Cadillac started making bigger vehicles. I have a very big family and want to stay with the Cadillac brand but definitely needed the space. The only problem I had is my Cadillac caught on fire eight days after I had it.

I purchased my 2013 Cadillac SRX Luxury 14 months ago, it was a one owner car and was purchased at dealership that originally sold it. I purchased an extended warranty for 2500. About 1 week ago my infotainment in my car froze, I am unable to use navigation or access anything in the main cue. Well I called the dealership and they told me to bring it in. I brought it in and the girl working there said it had to be replaced. She called the extended warranty and was told that the warranty did not cover the radio. I was upset to say the least. 1200 for a new cue to be put in plus labor. I told the dealership that the cue was more than a radio, it is the whole center that controls radio, satellite, GPS, navigation, weather, AC controls, etc. I told the guy at the dealership that I had down my research prior to coming in and that the infotainment cue in all models of Cadillac have had issues like mine since 2013. In all models CTS, SRX, Escalade and Crossovers. I think Cadillac should be responsible for fixing these since without that feature in my car it is not a luxury model.

I bought a 2016 Cadillac CTS in JULY 2018 at CADILLAC OF GREENWICH. THIS WAS CAUGHT ON VIDEO (DASH CAM, WITNESSES) was driving with my wife and my brother in a very TOURISTIC part of NYC (59th st and 5th Avenue). The car started emitting smoke and the hood went in complete flames. Thank god we came out of the car on time and the FIRE DEPARTMENT broke the hood and put out the fire. We were told that the damage even got to the gas line since gas was leaking and the brakes also stopped working. If the fire wouldn’t have been put out in 2-3 minutes we would’ve all exploded and many tourists (innocent bystanders) would have died. Mechanics are saying that the cause was because of FAULTY manufacturing inside of the hood. The Cadillac dealership washed their hands and don’t want to accept responsibility. NOBODY WANTS TO TOUCH THE CAR and I don’t have comprehensive insurance so they are useless. My car is considered total loss even though it wasn’t my fault, I was sold a faulty car. Cadillac of Greenwich promised to honor my warranty till 100,000 miles and it was “luxury” which was a lie, I have it all on text messages. The guy RAJ pressured me into trading my old ATS and telling me the New car was luxury and it wasn’t. I confronted him after I found out (a week of having the car) and all he said “oh sorry I thought it was luxury.” Since first day of driving off the lot, I’ve been having issues with the car, I went MORE than 5 times back to the dealership to fix many issues especially something with engine and transmission because the car was jerking. They “tried” to fix it but said that there’s nothing they could do.They were pressuring me so much to buy the car because it seems like they wanted to get rid of it. I called Cadillac customer service and they are just delaying everything. I’m hiring a lawyer and to sue them. I suffered loss and I almost died!!!! I have proof please contact me for more info. I have messages, Pictures, Videos, Witnesses. DONT EVER BUY FROM CADILLAC.

The Cadillac offers many different models, but we drive the 2006 DTS. It offers a smooth ride and a responsive engine. The model is also equipped with a digital read outs that check condition of the car. The DTS has leather interior it makes the ride extremely nice. The car comes with a large trunk which makes it easy to carry luggage and other items as well. One of our favorite upgrades are the seats, they have the option to make them hotter or colder. We also love the digital readout of tire, and engine conditions, as well as the temperature read out of the outside and inside of the car. The car can hold up to three passengers in the front and back with bench seats up front. There is plenty of leg room for passengers as well.
