Who would have thought that there would be an American truck race where manufacturers are vying for recognition for having one of the most off-road capable full-size trucks that also packs a punch under the hood? As it turns out, the race is on full tilt as Ford has the Raptor and recently unleashed their Raptor R, RAM continues to offer the TRX, and now, Chevrolet joins the party with the new Silverado ZR2 that takes on an interesting and quite safe approach to have some fun. The new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado has pivoted itself with refreshed styling inside and out that’s welcomed considering how its competition has really stepped things up. Apart from the refreshing, Chevrolet brings us a hardcore off-roading truck, the new ZR2 off-roading version that touts some serious hardware but seems to do things on its own terms by using the proven 6.2-liter V8 engine without any add-on frills, and an overall width that’s a bit smaller than the competition allowing the ZR2 to potentially navigate tighter spaces. Performance and Driving Character The new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado continues its path it changed up in its 2019 model year redesign. Since then, there have been only minor changes with the 2022 model year receiving some updates and the highly anticipated ZR2 trim. The new Silverado ZR2 embodies some of that off-road conquering attitude that you found in the Ford Raptor and RAM TRX but the ZR2 retains itself somewhat in having the same 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 found in many other GM vehicles touting 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The engine gets mated to the latest 10-speed automatic transmission but in the ZR2 you get a few rugged goodies to make it the most off-road capable truck out of GM. The Silverado ZR2 gets some useful off-roading content by the way of Multimatic DSSV spool-valve shocks, front and rear locking differentials, knobby 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler tires wrapping 18-inch wheels, a trick terrain drive mode, a performance exhaust that’s tucked far under the rear bumper, a skid plate package, and high approach angles thanks to a 11.2-inch ground clearance and a high approach front steel bumper. You get a breakover angle of 23.4 degrees, an approach angle of 31.8 degrees, and a departure angle of 23.3 degrees. If you’re wondering, that’s all good stuff! The suspension in the ZR2 is surprisingly excellent for its balance for on-road smoothness without sloppy handling and the ability to navigate rough terrain with compliance and the proper capability you need in a hard-core off-roading truck. While the rear suspension still utilizes leaf springs, the shocks do most of the work to keep things well dampened and in control but still exude a rather smooth ride quality on paved roads. The wheel travel of 9.84-inches front and 10.62-inches rear, is also excellent for those times you want to do a little rock crawling or at-speed drives over somewhat aggressive rises and dips. The ZR2 looks the proper part of a serious off-roading truck from its darkened trim to the large glossy black grille with a couple of LED lighting elements, red tow hooks, and the unique flow-tie emblem trimmed in red. There’s no confusing the ZR2 with any other Silverado or truck in the GM lineup for that matter. However, you must know that Chevrolet didn’t just stick some appearance goodies on this truck to call it a ZR2, they went the distance to make it as rugged as they thought was needed. Even though the ZR2 pales for its performance numbers on paper when pitted against the frontrunners of the power fighting trucks, it has a good level of durability and abilities in its proven powertrain that still gets the job done without issue or the need for additional power. Sure, the ZR2 only gets 33-inch tires but you’re working with a narrower width that could help with maneuverability. Also, the power figures are slightly down from direct competition, but you still have more than enough grunt to conquer all you would throw at such a truck. Additionally, you have the ability to tow 8,900 pounds, which is more than its Raptor and TRX competition. The use of the transfer case in hitting 4-low takes full advantage of the consistent and low-end grunt power of the V8 engine. Moreover, you have a 3.23 ratio rear axle as part of the ZR2 package, which only has a few select options that are more in the technology field. Interior and Tech Inside of the new Silverado ZR2 is the newly refreshed interior that really takes things up a few notches for a more premium feel and theme that’s mostly found on the top-level trims. The ZR2 adds a few unique elements having Jet Black and Greystone leather with contrasting stitching throughout. There’s a new 13.4-inch high-definition touchscreen running an updated infotainment software that embeds Google maps, app store, and voice assistant. I noticed that the system does have some loading times but once things are up and running it responds well to inputs with a nice level of customization. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both USB wired and wireless, are integrated. The new refresh for the Silverado also brings us a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and updated electronic t-shaped gear shifter and steering wheel paddle shifters. You can opt for a 5-foot or 10-foot bed but the ZR2 only comes as a crew cab, which is perfectly fine in my opinion as the payload is maxed out at 1,400 pounds. Fuel Economy The Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 eats quite a bit of regular fuel but in driving such a vehicle you know exactly what you’re getting into. I say that because the fuel consumption is mostly consistent without any crazy surprises while you expect to match the EPA estimates of 14 mpg city, 17 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined. Although, you do get a 24-gallon tank giving up a decent range on the highway. Safety As expected, there’s a proper amount of active safety features included on the Silverado ZR2 (adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning/mitigation, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning/emergency braking, blind-spot monitors (and Trailer blind-spot monitor), rear cross-path detection/emergency braking, 360-degree surround view camera, etc), which most send alerts through the traditional safety alert seat that pulses vibrations for its alerts. For the new Silverado there is the option of GM’s excellent Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system, but it is not available on the ZR2. My favorite feature was the 360-degree camera system that can be brought up when you’re driving to view multiple angles, including the truck bed, hitch area, and even the lower front for those times you need to navigate on a serious incline, and you simply cannot see the ground over your hood. Price At first glance, the pricing of the new 2022 Silverado ZR2 took me by surprise in being on par with something like the new Ford F-150 Raptor. However, in really looking at the collective of what you get in the ZR2, the price is well justified in my summation landing at $72,770 for my loaded-up test vehicle, which includes a destination charge of $1,695. Chevrolet did well here, and they will not only get the fanboys attention but others as well as you’re working with a well-proven off-roader here with some welcomed niceties.

I find my Camaro SS to be a very fun and enjoyable car to drive. Sounds and handles excellent. Im a little upset that my HUD is no longer working and is not covered under my extended warranty. I am very happy with the car. Not happy with the service department of the closest dealership where I like to get the car serviced. Chevy did an awesome job with the Camaro, the seats are comfortable, its easy to get in and out of, like my bigger cars, trunk is a great size, even with the top down. Its all around a great car!

It is a hatchback. Easy access to loading things. Popular model, silver color. Comfortable to sit in. Space for 4 adults. Back seat lets down for more cargo space. Has received great reviews and rewards. Great gas mileage, looks great and very stylish. Low cost too. Got good deal on payments. Easy to park and get out of tight places. I have greatly enjoyed owning and driving this car. But it has too much technology stuff in it that I do not use.

My Dad worked for GM for over 30 plus years on the line and other departments in the Ohio plant so with total shock pulling into his retirement home in FL 2 yrs ago. We see a Hyundai SUV parked in the driveway. After 10 mins of dogging him out about it. His came back with what most of you suspect. With demand for trucks and SUVs rising year after year GM has gone to cheaper parts in drive train and once damn good engines 200k without a problem. At the same time prices keep going up for some plastic bling that hides the crap underneath. I myself have been a chevy guy for over 40 yrs and many good cars and truck over the years... But no longer!!! Next truck end of this year will be a Tundra Ford and Dodge have problems of their own. For what is worth the Hyundai now has over 100k with zero problems in FL heat and traffic... Would I buy one? NO...Well maybe the genesis v8 425hp.

We purchased a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe from Koon’s Chevrolet of White M
We purchased a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe from Koon’s Chevrolet of White Marsh, MD in 2018. It now has 31,000 miles on it. We drove an hour to this dealership multiple times even though we could’ve bought 1 closer to home because we had loyalty to the sales person who spent all of the time with us. There was nothing better about the price etc. With owning our own business we understand the importance of time & commission. As of June 30th, it had 3 issues: 1. Air conditioner was not working. 2. Thump sound coming from under drivers side area when driving3. Peeling paint on an area where bumper meets side panelWe drove it out of town for the 4th of July holiday & the AC wasn’t working. I called & scheduled service on July 5 for a July 8 appointment. I explained to guy in service what the issues were & that I had tried to take it for the paint to another dealership closer to home & they advised that I would need to go to a dealership with a body shop & that Koons had 1 since that is where I had bought the car so when I made the appointment I notified of them of all of this & requested a loaner car since it would probably be a couple of day fix if it was paint related. They said OK & transferred me to the call center to make the appointment. I mentioned many times that I expected these things to be covered under warranty. At no time did anybody say they wouldn’t be or that my car was out of warranty. My husband takes the morning away from our business to drive the car an hour away for the services. Upon arrival at Koons, without even trying to be helpful or offering other avenues the service advisor (Charlie) was immediately snarky & couldn’t wait to tell my husband that the car was out of warranty & we would have to pay for the loaner & diagnostic fee & that any repair would be out of pocket because we were 11 days out of warranty even though mileage was low. When I made the appointment we were 3 business days out of warranty. This immediately upset us. My husband said, Isn’t there anything you can do? And the advisor said, No you’ve never even used us before why would I help you. Which actually is inaccurate. Koons repaired things on our car & did an oil change or two. However a car with 31,000 miles shouldn’t need many services so of course we hadn’t used you for anything else why would we. So here we are the first time we really need assistance after buying a very expensive car from Koons & we are treated this way. We own a business that deals with warranties and manufacturers nonstop. We have to service & warranty units that we did not install. We’ve made exceptions for customers. We always go above & beyond. We have a 5 star rating. Chevy does the same. Nobody even ever offered to try & help us or call GM or anything. As a Cadillac owner I know the lengths that my local dealership has went through for me even though I did not buy the car through them. So I told my husband to ask for the manager & try to get the same level of service that we’ve had with our prior vehicle through Cadillac. While he did that I called Chevy. I spoke with a great advisor & received a case ID & filed my complaint. I got everything taken care of on the phone with somebody that we had not spent a dollar with. That’s customer service.Meanwhile my husband is wasting time debating the level of customer service we deserve with your manager (Dan) after having quite the discussion with your advisor. The advisor was arrogant & unhelpful. The manager wasn’t very helpful either but at least he wasn’t that arrogant & rude. My husband drove the car back to our local dealer who picked up the case & fixed everything & helped us get it covered. Yes the dealership that we did not give the business of a car sale to was the one that ended up helping us so guess who gets our business going forward. Jeff D’Ambrosio that’s who. Koons dealership isn’t even a 1 on the scale, it’s -5. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had from a car dealer or mechanic shop anywhere.

In the last 4 months I purchased 2 used Chevy Volts with low miles and excellent condition. They replaced two Toyota Prius my wife and I owned. We’ve been Prius owners for 12 years, and have had a great experience with Toyota, but the Volt appealed to us for its much greater battery capacity as well as how it drives. What I didn’t anticipate was a far worse repair experience than I’ve ever had with any car in the last 40 years, and the fault is with Chevy and GM, not the dealer, for not having a commonly failing part available for the repair. It’s been 3 weeks now waiting for the part. In the meantime over many calls to GM for help, they have been absolutely awful. Day after day they apologize but they can’t tell you when the part will arrive, so I don’t know when I’ll get my car back.Three weeks after buying the second Volt, I had a problem starting it. I eventually got it started and drove it to the closest dealer in Arlington, MA. They told me right away it sounded like a common problem with the shifter assembly, but unfortunately the part was in backorder. Under the extended warranty I purchased, I had 6 days of a loaner car covered, so I got one and didn’t worry. A week later, the dealer still had no idea when the part would come from GM.That’s when I called GM and opened a case with Customer Service. The call center folks are friendly and try to help but are extremely limited as far as solving any problem. They assigned me a Senior Advisor however, and that was supposed to get my case escalated. But the Advisor also couldn’t tell me when the part would arrive. They also could not offer me any coverage for a loaner car during the extended wait for the part. The Advisor resorted to reciting policy to me on this issue. On multiple occasions I have tried to reach the Advisor to share information from the dealer or ask for an update. I’ve never been able to reach her the same day or next day. It has taken 2-3 days and messages and escalations for her to respond.Last week both the dealer and GM said the part was expected to ship that week. It didn’t. I called every day for an update and never got any sense that anyone knows anything about the parts availability. Then they said the part shipped last Friday so it should arrive that day or next day. The dealer looks for it every day but still hasn’t seen it (Tuesday). Again my calls to the Advisor, to ask about tracking the shipment, have not been returned. After borrowing my wife’s car for a week, which left her without a car, and getting rides to work from colleagues, I rented a car yesterday. With the extended warranty already used, and GMs policy preventing them providing any coverage since the manufacturers warranty has just passed a few months ago, I am now stuck with the rental cost, for how long I don’t know. The dealer says there’s nothing they can do til the part arrives. GM customer service says there’s nothing they can do to get the part to the dealer. The people responsible to make the part and ship it are completely insulated, as are any higher level managers, since customer service has said they can’t provide me any further contacts.I think the Volt is a great car. This mechanical issue is very minor. The car has a good reputation for reliability. But Chevy and GM can’t seem to provide a part for a common issue in the car. I’ve since heard that some Volt owners purchase and stockpile certain parts that occasionally fail, because they anticipate GM won’t be able to provide the part for repair. At this point I’m committed to the car, but don’t think I’ll ever buy another GM product in this lifetime, based on how poorly they’ve handled this. And I recommend the same for any car buyer. A global, multi-billion $ company can’t have common repair parts available within a day or two - that is a company that deserves to go out of business. And no more government bailouts. After buying the first one several months ago I bought another. Three weeks later I had a

I am writing to complain about my Chevy Cruze 2016 Limited Lt. I have nothing but problems with this turbo. The fan sounds like the car is going to take off. This happens when you run the air conditioner. The car surges and the car goes through a stage where it takes a minute to reset. The turbo has acceleration issues where it will be running OK then slow down to barely doing the speed limit. I have had it in the dealership 3 times. They always tell me everything is OK to have it back and it is doing the same thing all over again. I dont want a car with a turbo anymore. Too many problems. I feel that I cant get the answers Im looking for. If I contact the dealership they will just tell me how everything is OK. I pay good money for my vehicle and if it is going to continue to be a problem maybe they should let me trade it for another vehicle. I need to know who to talk to so I can get this problem fixed.

I currently have a 2004 Silverado 1500, a dream of many years. Aside from the general maintenance of any vehicle (breaks and the likes) this truck is AMAZING! I give, as an example: about a year ago, I was about 50 miles from home when the coolant line sprung a leak! Id noticed a small puddle under the vehicle when I came out of the store where Id been shopping, but thought it was condensation. On the drive back, through some rather rural area, I noticed a slight increase on the temperature gauge so I drove with care not to over-exert the engine. Taking the truck immediately to the mechanic, they opened the reservoir for the coolant to find it completely dry! Repairs were made and subsequently I learned that these vehicles have a protection against over-heating! It saved my day, my purchases, my sanity, to be sure. This truck, even at its age, has been a blessing, helping me move house, hauling brush and wood, its amazing in snow, and I live in a mountainous region in Northern New York state where Winters can be quite brutal. As for the rating given about the cost, quite honestly, I find the cost of motor vehicles these days to be rather unreasonable over all. But even for the basic Silverado, I would say, considering the peace of mind and safety, Ive experienced with mine, the price is reasonable. Could be better (lower of course), but as is: perfectly reasonable. I recommend the model to everybody, even those who think trucks are out of their personal style. Drive one, youll be stuck forever.

The biggest issue with this service department was the time it took for an oil change and tire rotation, 5 HOURS, but I have listed all the details below. Pros: - Service was completed- Service consultant was pleasant Cons:- Timing. It took this service department from 10:15 am to 3:15 pm, 5 HOURS, to complete an oil change and tire rotation. I scheduled my appointment online and was told when I arrived that it might take up to 3.5 hours. I was not happy but needed the oil change today and assumed it might include something like a basic exterior wash for the time. At the 4-hour mark, I called the service department to get an update. After a few moments of not being able to find my car, I was told to give them another 1.5 hours to complete the service. - Price. When scheduling my appointment online, the dealership was offering a coupon for $29.95 + tax. The only fine print, directly from the coupon, was, “Tire balancing, tax, and more than 6 quarts of oil extra.”. Since I did not see a line item for tire balancing or more than 6 quarts of oil, I asked why I was being charged $12.89 more than the coupon, before tax. I was told that prices have gone up and they could not honor the coupon price. If that is the case, the coupon needs to be removed from the website. - “Shuttle”. I advised the service department I would be waiting there for my car. It was at that point they offered a shuttle, via Lyft, within 10 miles of the dealership. I opted to take them up on the offer, but just across the highway to the mall. At 4.5 hours, I ended up walking back to the dealership since my phone was about to die so there was no way I would be able to coordinate the shuttle back between the dealership and Lyft. At the time of payment, I see a charge for, “Incidental Reimbursement” in the amount of $5.67. I can only assume this was for the “shuttle service” they would take care of within 10 miles. - Lack of attention to detail. When I received the bill, I noticed a charge of just over $22 for 2 bolts. I knew I would have to pay for the bolts but remembered the conversation advising it would be around $4 and change, per bolt. I had to ask why the charge was so high before they even noticed it. Lastly, upon getting in my car, I noticed in the 5 hours they had the vehicle, no one could be bothered to reset the oil life indicator.

A complete waste of money for the purchase of this vehicle. I bought this new in August 2013 and every year since I have had it, separately from routine maintenance or normal wear and tear, I have had it in the garage to have some part replaced and whenever I have called General Motors or the dealership it is always the same response, Oh that is not covered under warranty, so basically NOTHING on their vehicle is ACTUALLY covered under warranty. Their bumper to bumper which is only 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever comes first is a JOKE!!They have used poor lousy parts in their vehicles and they are fully aware of it so they sit in their BOARDROOM and put their hands in the air because they just dont care but until they finally OWN up to the problem they have lost my BUSINESS!!! This business acquired a government bailout during the Bush administration and they DO NOTHING to assist their CONSUMERS!! I will never again purchase a Chevrolet/GM vehicle, this car has been nothing but a pain in my pocket!!

Bought a brand new 2018 1.5L Malibu with 2 miles on it, have had extreme acceleration problems off and on everyday. It will have no power and sit at 3400 rpms even when the pedal is at WOT. Dealer cant duplicate the problem so were stuck with it... Monitoring it thru the OBDII port I can see that there is little to no boost PSI on the turbo during acceleration when Im having this issue. No check engine lights on at all and we now have 1700 miles on it and it hasnt stopped giving us issues.

The 2020 Chevy Equinox is a nice sized wagon. The ride is comfortable and the seats are great having the option to add air to your lower back for long drives. The only thing I do not like about this vehicle is that when the wind blows, it goes all over the place, especially if you have your window cracked. Overall, seems to be a good fit for my family!

Reported problem: Full Charge mileage range reduction from 238 plus miles t
Reported problem: Full Charge mileage range reduction from 238 plus miles to ~156 miles. Courtesy Recall ** Loss of propulsion High Voltage Battery Without Notification. Complaint: The normal vehicle range of 238 miles is reduced 35% to 156 miles. After the courtesy recall the range was further reduced another 27% to 115 miles. GM acknowledges this reduction in range but is calling it normal. When the vehicle was delivered to Jack Evans for service, I reported the issue with decreased range. I noted that I drive ~150 miles round trip for work daily, with the decreased range I was unable to use the vehicle for the intended purpose as there was insufficient margin. I feared not being able to get home. The dealer agreed that the vehicle was reporting range of 157 miles with full charge but were unable to find any issue with the battery. They contacted GM Technical support for advice and were provided no additional information on the problem. Sarah the Service Manager at Jack Evans told me that GM tech support advised her to report the issue on the invoice as “Customer Concern Not Reproducible” and the decreased range is due to customer driving conditions and connecting my Cellphone to the infotainment system, what I am seeing is normal. After completion of the courtesy recall the vehicle was connected to a charging station, with zero miles driven. On 50-degree day the full charge range decreased from 157 to 115 miles. The Service Manager again told me this is caused by my driving style and environmental settings. The reduction in range after the service recall happened with no changes to driving or environmental settings. I was again advised to unplug my phone from the infotainment system as this could reduce range expectations. If I did not agree with the information presented, I should contact GM Customer Care. The dealer did not report the additional service recall related range reduction to GM Tech Support. GM Customer Care Case ** called in on 2/13/2019 was escalated to a Customer Care Manager. After receiving no further contact or status I contacted GM Customer Care on 2/21/2019. I was promised a status by end of the day. With nothing heard I again contacted GM Customer Care on 2/22/2019 only to be told I would be contacted in 2 or 3 business days. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that would also take 2 or 3 business days. I contacted GM Priority Care where I was forwarded to a Customer Care Manager. I was again told there is no problem with the vehicle. After some time reviewing the record, we determined the information I had been providing was not being documented, such as the reduction in range after the service recall. I was also told that Jack Evans service department reported no problems with the vehicle. As noted above, Jack Evans service department told me that service code was at the direction of GM technical support. My dispute with GM Customer Care is based on GM advising Jack Evans on how to report an issue then telling me there is no problem based on what was reported by Jack Evans. Further background: I drive the vehicle ~150 miles daily, charging the vehicle every night for the next day. I drive the same path every day, my environmental settings are set for 70 degrees, heated seats and steering wheel heater set to off. From April to November my typical range exceeded the estimated range of 238 miles, more likely around 300 miles. On the coldest day (5 degrees) with headlights on the reported range was ~185 miles, after 150 miles the system reported ~50 miles to go. The decreased range of 156 miles no longer allows me to use the vehicle for my daily work commute as intended. The further range reduction to 115 miles will not allow commuter use at all. General Motors Customer telling me the range reduction is normal when I know from experience this is a significant change from routine use is not acceptable. Usage and environmental settings are no longer an issue as I can no longer using the vehicle other than for errands. When I purchased this Chevy Bolt EV there were only two vehicle manufactures making an electric vehicle with a range above 200 miles between charges, one being Tesla, the other GM. With issues being reported and ignored by GM, there is only one remaining.

I love the Chevy Tracker. I have owned 3 of them. The first 2 were automatic and this one is a standard. I like the standard better. I have traveled all over the country in one and had no issues whatsoever. I would definitely suggest buying one especially if you like to go camping and you drive down a lot of dirt roads. The four wheel drive is my favorite feature. I also like that it is small and that the back seats come down for a larger storage area. The car is also super durable. Just do the normal upkeep and it will run forever.

I would purchase the 2012 Chevrolet HHR LT again but they no longer make this model. Midsize SUV with a lot of room in the back. I have almost 89k miles and not one ounce of trouble. Very comfortable car and easily seats five people. Excellent gas usage and uses regular and flex. Comfortable leg room for long distance driving. Like the style and a way of staying in the SUV. Also had an Explorer Sport at the same time, but chose to use this most often. Tried Kia Soul, Ford Escape, Jeep and Chrysler Sebring. I was amazed at the power this Chevrolets 4 cylinder car had and its ease of getting in and out. I would have preferred the gas tank be on the drivers side though and the rear window wiper control higher up on the dash, although I didnt use it often.

I cant find a way to connect the seat belts in the back seat. No leg room, radio is complicated to operate and is distracting when trying to switch bands/station while driving. Purchased a 2012 Chevy Suburban on Feb 4, 2012. Current mileage is approx.
Purchased a 2012 Chevy Suburban on Feb 4, 2012. Current mileage is approx. 19,170. Where should I start? The buying experience was of course easy and welcoming. However after that everything went downhill. The first problem I experienced was I found a lease paper in the truck with someone name on it. I do not know if I still have this paper or not. However the mileage in and out was not disclosed on the paper. I was told the vehicle had 10 miles on it. When I left the dealership and upon finding these papers I checked the trucks mileage it stated the truck had 160 miles on it not 10. I let it slide. The next issue was the metal piece inside the body stripping was rusting through the rubber. Rust was oozing out of this body stripping on all four doors. The truck was only 1 year old. I took the truck to the dealership I had purchased from. The service personnel at the dealership told me this isnt the rust belt nothing rust here it is just dirty water all Suburbans gets dirty water there. Knowing he was being smart I took the truck to a body shop. The body shop took photos and said this is warranty work. When the guy pulled the molding apart rusty water spewed out at him. I stated, Try getting that done down at Chevy so I want you to fix it. He stated he would be glad to fix it but he wouldnt charge me he would charge Chevy since it was warranty work and each of these door strips cost 120 dollars plus. He said he would call me. Several hours later my phone was blowing up with calls from the dealer. Come to find out the dealership doesnt have a body shop and that shop does paint and body work for them. Well Chevy reps were going crazy. They asked me to bring the truck in to inspect it again. So I did. The manager of the service department stated to me, I could blame this on you but you take too good care of this truck. He was infuriated with me to say the least. I told him what his employee said to me and he was even more livid. It took a total of 3 to 4 weeks before they called me with the new molding to install in the truck. After all that nonsense a year later that molding was also starting to rust. This is because Chevy doesnt seal the molding and there is a slit where the piece join and water gets down in there from washing the truck and such. The next issue I was having troubles {and still do} with my tranny getting up to 195 degree temps driving in the city in the summer. I do not tow with this truck. The running temps of these trannys are 175. These Suburbans run hot. So I decided I would order an auxiliary external tranny cooler. When I went to the same dealership to get it installed I sat there for 4 hours before they came and told me, The part wouldnt fit we tried every way possible to get it to fit and it wont. Why were you trying to force the wrong part to fit my truck, I asked. They didnt respond. Come to find out these Suburbans can take two different tyranny coolers one cheaper and the one for my truck a whopping 374 dollars. The cheaper one is about 100 dollars. Thats not including installation. I said forget it and walked off. One time I had looked up a part online and it stated the sale price and the normal price. When I went to that dealership they did not charge me the sale price but the full price for a part that was on sale. The next issue we had a cold winter in 2014/15 and the beginning of 2015 my OEM battery died. I called Chevy roadside they were the best so far. The truck being under extended warranty major guard a 2500 dollar warranty. Knowing it did not cover the battery but I had to go to the dealership to get the truck serviced because of warranty. I called the dealer and they were too busy to put a battery in my truck. There is only 2 Chevy dealers in town and both stink. So I digress I drove the truck the next 6 days on that jump then it died again. Chevy roadside came out again and jumped it told me the cells were about all dead. I drove to that same dealer. Meanwhile my volts were jumping everywhere from 17 down to 13 up to 16 down to 12. I was scared the truck was going to shut off. At the dealership the service rep said that battery wasnt under warranty and I agreed since the bumper to bumper was expired. I asked for a ACDelco gold to be installed. A 200 dollar battery. The dealer was having a battery sale so it was a little cheaper. Sitting in the waiting room, I had been up for 20 hours, the same guy comes and tells me the mechanic thinks the battery is under warranty so we are trying to charge it. That shows you how these people treat warranty work. Trying to recharge a battery that over half the cells are dead its not a wise move. I snapped at the guy and said, Hey I thought we agreed that battery isnt under warranty and I asked for a new battery so why wasnt it put in so I can go? Finally after 3 long hours I got the new battery. Its weird because every time Chevy roadside sends someone to jump my truck they look for the battery on the drivers side and when not finding it there think someone stole my battery. My battery is located on the passenger side and I have an empty slot for a second battery. So Im wondering if these trucks need two batteries when towing. I digress. That was the last time I went to that dealership. Since I have replaced my OEM battery my truck has other problems. My daytime running lamps work off and on. Two months dont work then one magical week will. Another problem when I turn my A/C on this terrible vrrr noise from under the hood and my volts plummet very quickly. I just sit and watch the volts plummet down to 12. I have to turn off the A/C then the volts go back up. Other times there is a 50/50 chance the volts will either read 14.2 or they rise up to 16. Before the OEM battery went out my volts always read 14.2. Now GM tries to tell me the voltage regulator isnt correct? It read 14.2 for three years. Its correct. I guess another battery is being fried. I can go to the store, park, turn off, come back out 40 minutes later turn on and automatically the volts are 16 and will stay there the whole 30 minute trip home. No phone or laptop charging etc. So there is no extra load on the voltage regulator. Come out the next day turn on and drive the volts will be 14.2.Next trip volts are soaring. So I went to GMC. I told them about it. I asked them to check my alternator. After checking the alternator they told me there was nothing wrong with it and they said there is a TSB on these trucks that they will do this. I called Chevy themselves and Chevy asked for my VIN number. I gave it and Chevy said that the TSB was not attached to my VIN. So remember TSBs are attached to VIN numbers and not all models. This is what Chevy told me. However Chevy did nothing to help me with either one of their dealerships to get these problems fixed.I had enough of their lack of customer service. They only seem to care about getting that 50,000. They dont make them like they used to. Right after my bumper to bumper expired in 2015, after that cold snap, I noticed I have the infamous cracked dash. On the left side of my passenger airbag. Then just this January after the temps got down to 28 I noticed one night my dash was bowed inward and had actually came apart from its own seam. The part by the windshield is now loose. It appears to me these dashes cannot take temperature fluctuations. My dash had contracted from the cold and was literally bowed downward to where I could easily place my finger under the dash part by the windshield. This part of my dash contains a sensor I believe its for the lights on the truck. I read on the internet that apparently at one time Chevy was trying to blame the dashes cracking because people using Armor all. Well Chevy I got some news for you I DO NOT USE Armor all. I pay the 16 to 18 bucks plus tax for the ACDelco tire dressing. A Wisconsin lawsuit alleges GM knows about this defect. According to the suit, GM hired a company to see if common cleaning products like Armor all were to blame. See I buy GM products to clean a GM product. I use the detailer, carpet cleaner and this ACDelco tire dressing all are sold at the dealerships. These products did not keep my dash from cracking nor my running boards fading to gray. So which is defective their dashes or their cleaning products? Buyer beware! The Chevy dealerships and the one GMC I dealt with were kissing face to get that paper in their hand but when business got real they never helped me get my truck fixed. Dont let Chevy tell you that your dash is cracking cause Armor all. I purchase about 2 to 3 bottles of this Tire Dressing stuff a year plus use a sun visor. The product does not keep running boards from fading and cannot keep a defective dash from cracking. Its good for leather seats though. So I use GM product that states will help prevent dashes from cracking and my dash cracks and splits and comes apart. Now a new dash plus labor around 1300 for a replacement 2007 2012 dash. The same dash? Thing will crack again probably and if it does then I would have spent 433.33 a year for three years before the cracks return or 260 a year for 5 years before the dash cracks again. Thats more a year for a dash than regular maintenance. If it was a 20,000 dollar automobile I would expect such things. Chevy always brags about exquisite quality. This is not that at all. Too much heartache, grief and nonsense over this truck and its needs. I have included photos. One of them you will see the body molding and if you look closely you can see a rust line on the paint coming from it. 88865221 - GM/AC Delco Vinyl, Rubber and Tire Dressing - 16 oz. This product is an interior and exterior vinyl, rubber, tire and plastic cleaner, conditioner, and protectant. The product is a non-greasy, premium conditioner that provides outstanding long lasting shine and protection to all tire, rubber, vinyl, and leather surfaces. The products water based formula leaves surfaces shiny, protected and dry-to-the touch. The rich pH balanced conditioning formula penetrates beyond the surface to help rejuvenate and maintain pliability and integrity of the covering. It is specially formulated with ultraviolet blocking agents to help keep surfaces from cracking, fading and hardening, defending them against the harmful rays of the sun.Chevy reps and employees have been extremely rude and arrogant towards me. I cannot get my truck fixed with the 2500 dollar warranty I bought from Chevy since the dealerships throw a fuss about warranty work and dont seem to like to do so. This ACDelco tire dressing did not prevent or help prevent my dash from cracking nor keep my running boards from fading to grey. This truck seems to have some sort of electrical problem and I dont trust driving it anymore. I do not recommend paying 50,000 for this truck. I purchased a New Chevrolet Tahoe 2018 White Pearl and on the second day noticed a ZIT under the paint and looked around and saw hair fibers and sand under the white paint. I took to the Dealership and they sent to an Autobody Shop and it came back with a different shade darker, not happy with the result and sent to another Autobody shop in Clovis California and it came out ok. There were more fibers and fisheyes noticed and sent back again. This time it was totally torn apart and my vehicle was in there for 11 days. Spent 55k on a new Chevrolet Tahoe and this is what I am dealing with. I noticed more fibers in the paint and need to take back. While my Tahoe was a little pricey, I absolutely love it! I have owned Chevys most of my life; Camaros, Z-28s, Chevelle Malibu, Impala. Prior to buying my Tahoe, I had a couple of non Chevy automobiles. However, my favorite T.V. show is Criminal Minds, and I wanted a car just like the ones they drove. I kept my eye out for a good deal on a Tahoe, so I could own my dream car, and, finally saw it as I passed by a Chevy dealership. I popped into the lot, test drove it and thats all she wrote. I trust Chevys, so there was no research needing to be done! It has so many features, that even today, I still find things extras on this car that I didnt know I had. I feel very safe and secure driving it!

The build quality seems to be good but not perfect. The same with performance. I love the Chevy Volt. The battery gives us enough range on a full charge to get almost anywhere during the average day. Its quiet and runs smoothly with lots of power. There have been problems, of course. While the software is generally great, the entertainment center software had big problems. Software updates have helped a lot. And, we had a problem where the transmission control unit short-circuited. Thats pretty much it in a nutshell.

Ive had it for 2 1/2 years and it hasnt needed any maintenance other than the standard stuff. It still looks and feels brand new! It was love at first sight with this car. I love the lines because they give the vehicle a classy yet sporty look. The hatchback is wonderful when it comes to loading, and since its covered, my stuff is protected from the sun AND the thieves! While Im happy with it, I would like a bigger console storage compartment. I purchased a brand new Corvette SR in June of 2019. This is a body style that has been in production for 5 years. In September, my car was hit and required body work including a headlight. I found a body shop at a dealership and confirmed all parts were available for the repair. After confirming this, the car arrived at the shop less than 3 hours later on Oct 3. The service adviser committed completion by Oct 23. I got my car a month later (11/22) due to the headlight availability. All along, NO information was available until about a week prior to completion indicating The order (Headlight) was being processed Whatever that means. Once the headlight did arrive, the car was ready for pickup within two days. When a virtually new car is tied up for a month for something that is totally within Chevrolets control, they need to accept responsibility. Here is where they broke down in this long story. 1) Parts availability information is inaccurate. The parts manager can see inventory available but when he goes to request it, the item is reserved. Visibility of a reserve is a very basic inventory function. 2) Delivery - When a backorder does occur, available to promise showing an anticipated delivery should be the norm rather than leaving a customer guessing. 3) Allocation - They would move parts to build new cars before covering service requirements. Does this make sense? Build a new car knowing full well you cannot keep it roadworthy due to material shortages.4) Customer Service - I called in my complaint on 11/21. I have had multiple contacts since then til now 12/3. Today they called and left no message. Three minutes later I get an email indicating they have been unable to contact me. I called back less than an hour later and left a message. No replay as of this writing. They simply try to wear you down rather than step up and take responsibility for a problem of their creation.I absolutely cannot recommend Chevrolet as a go to source for a luxury or performance vehicle until they are prepared to manage the supply chain better in both supply and information. And provide a customer service department that actually is expected and empowered to do something about these problems.

50k SUV I can’t drive - We bought a brand new 2019 Tahoe LT in late October of this year. Around 3 weeks ago we started experiencing serious electrical issues with the vehicle. While trying to leave a store, got message of “reduced steering assist drive with care”. Vehicle would not go in reverse and steering wheel would not move so it had to be towed. Vehicle was working again at dealer and Dealership couldn’t replicate issue. Had it back one day and it started doing it again so we videoed it when it wasn’t functional and it went back to dealer. It’s been in and out of shop going on 3 weeks- longer than we have even owned the vehicle. It appears there is some sort of serious electrical issue with these vehicles and we are not sure the dealer will buy it back- which is what we want. Buyer beware.

If anyone thinking about buying a Chevy, maybe you should give it a second thought. My radio quit, been trying, for a month, to buy a new one. Now before you get ahead of me you have to know that a radio is no longer just a radio. My radio (Chevy Sonic) makes all the noises for signal lights, seat belt chime, door ajar, oil pressure, overheat, stop engine, keys left in ignition and maybe some stuff I dont know about. You set all the stuff the car does: Rear wiper, lights on when leave and a dozen other stuff. ALL OF THE ABOVE NO LONGER WORKS. 3 years old and I cannot buy a radio, dont have them, farmed out to another company, back ordered for??? Called a US dealer (just across from me). He said last time he ordered one of them took 6 months. Thought I would buy used, cant. They are tied to your VIN number. Oh, and by the way, the price installed (they have to install, gotta use GM computer) has varied from $1300.00 to $617.50. But because I cannot buy one have not spent any money. DOES GM care, nope, they just tell you the dealer (not you of course) must order and wait. IMPRESSIVE HUH!

So I just bought a 97 Chevy Lumina with about 86,000 miles on it and my ** made the mistake of mixing the original red coolant with the standard green coolant you get literally everywhere. Now my coolant is the outside weather and I have to drain that crap out and replace it with the green stuff since it is apparently safer than what the manufacturer provides. Bit of a miracle that I got a 97 Lumina under a hundred thousand miles in 2019 so Im not going to destroy it with bad coolant. With the mixture, the car now raises its temperature rapidly at a stoplight and Im going to have to drain that stuff before Winters end. Fortunately the temperature quickly goes back to normal once the car moves.

I have owned a big variety of vehicles Fords Dodge Volkswagen Etc. My first car was a Chevy 1968 Chevelle Malibu El Camino. Really nice car. Never had any issues with it. Really tough engine. Great transmission. My second one was a 1969 Chevy Impala. Never had any issues. Both of them nice old muscle cars I put together myself. Put a lot of money into it. Was all Chevy parts. You cant go wrong with them. I put a small block 400 in the El Camino and a 350 in the Impala both with Turbo 350 Transmission. I would recommend Chevrolet product to anybody. I really enjoyed both these vehicles that was in my younger years when it was all about speed and looks. Now its more about comfort and safety. Chevrolet has all of that wrapped up in their vehicles now. I would recommend it to anybody.

Until everything started going wrong with this car. When I got the car I was told right away that I need to get the two latest recalls one for the ignition switch and the other one was for the electronic power steering motor -- which was done without delay. One month after this one of my headlights started getting water damage and both of the bulbs stopped working (150$ repair). Right after this my driver side speaker stopped working (which makes the blinker noise - another 150$ repair). The next issue that occurred was my whole power system unit stopped working (not even two months past getting the EPM recall fixed - 1200$ GM only repair) which resulted in them breaking my steering wheel cover (that they werent trying to tell me about or fix). The steering wheel was crooked and didnt drive straight (told the GM dealership and there wasnt anything wrong with it supposedly). Reported this to the appreciate channels -- Chevy shouldnt be able to get away with this kind of malfunction when the problem was identical to the EPM malfunction. Of course, no recall or any form of help came of it. Not even one month later and my gear shifter it almost getting to the point where it wont go into gear (hard almost stuck like feeling to get it into position). Once again GM dealership says that there is nothing wrong with it.Finally weeks after this issue my check engine light is on (yet to be diagnosis), have a feeling Im not going to be happy with whatever is broken this time. I seriously hate this car so much and I have low mileage. My 04 Chevy cavalier (that was burning oil, and ran dry a few times) never gave me any problems and ran like a champ. I seriously hate this Cobalt and the Chevy dealership Ive taken the cobalt to. As soon as I can Im getting rid of this car and never ever going to buy another Chevy (it use to be the only brand Ive ever bought but your newer models are lemons).Chevy found a way to get their newer models to a certain mileage and then one by one everything stops working or malfunctions! Ive never spend so much in one year on car repairs and they call the Cobalts sure money savers and even found a way for local news programs to market them like they are cherry cars. DO NOT BUY A COBALT OR ANY NEWER CHEVY MODEL-- YOURE GOING TO REGRET YOU EVER DID.

We wanted an American made, quality car at a reasonable price and the Chevrolet Cavalier fit the bill overall. We have owned it since 2003 and are happy with it generally except for several window regulators have gone out on it. And we had to pay for the parts and also to get them installed. But still one back window to this day cannot be rolled down because it wont go back up. We would not purchase this model again just because of this problem. We have since read online that many others also experienced similar problems as well and we should have researched before we purchased it.

It has been a complete piece of junk as compared to my Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Traverse AC system broke ($600) had a partial transmission failure ($2k) rear driveshaft needed to be replaced ($1k), front suspension had to be completely replaced ($1,600)... This car is poorly made and I deeply regret purchasing it. In addition the interior is cheap and the bottom of the front seat is coming apart. Super disappointed in this car. I intentionally bought an American made car and really wish I didn’t. Chevrolet should be ashamed of themselves.

I bought a brand new 2016 Silverado in 2016 and have put 72000 (highway) miles on it. Took it into my local Chevy dealership because of a transmission shudder and whine right before shifting to the next gear. Torque converter is failing sending metal shavings through my transmission and destroying it. A bill of greater than 5500 for this transmission is absurd but not as crazy as a 3 year old transmission failing. Must be why they lowered the drivetrain warranty from 100k to only 60k. Have been a Chevy guy all my life, now looking into other brands due to their lack of standing behind a crap product.

Love the on-star feature... no engine problems, handles very well on the road, feels and sounds like you going 50 miles per hr when you are actually going 70mph even now. Of course I keep the oil change and do regular maintenance on the car. My husband bought this truck new because he wanted something that a female could drive due to its midsize. I drove through 1ft of water and it took out my engine. Some may say its my fault just like the dealer. However if you advertise a truck let alone a 4x4 z71 offroad addition it should be able to handle some water. I have had plenty of my old truck in 3ft of water/mud and kept going like champions. My Chevy Astro was a customized conversion van that I wanted to be able to use if and when I went weekend camping. It was perfect van for myself and my children. It was easy to clean, especially since it had its own built in dust buster that you plugged into in the back and could just run off the regular car battery. The van had a TV in the back with ear phones, a separate radio/cassette tape player with & w/out headphones, first aid kit, Kleenex box, cooler, bed in back that went down with the push of a button, fancy lighting in back, shades that pulled down in the back & sides & had the high top. Its just that the tires were an odd size that always needed special ordering so they were always more expensive. Also, I would have liked better gas mileage. The Astro wasnt a very comfortable traveling van for long trips but it was comfortable and roomy for everything. Wish I hadnt sold it.

Way to go Chevy for making sure your pockets stay padded while the rest of us have a car that’s spent more money fixing it than what they paid for it! I am up to almost $2500 in repair costs and have been without a car for 6 months. I have replaced the ENTIRE PCV system. The water pump, the terminal block fuse, the starter, engine oil cooler, sensors etc has been replaced and some have been replaced numerous times. It’s horrible how this is clearly a problem from the factory and a poorly designed system but yet Chevy has no fix, swears there’s nothing wrong, will not issue a recall, and are allowed to get away with it. Don’t get me wrong because I always have and always will drive their vehicles and I’ve had no problems to date with any of the others I’ve owned. But this one sure has left a bad taste in my mouth and highly disappointed that they don’t care about our/my loyalty to their line. I loved the car except for all the issues. Once I get it back I have no choice but to try and get rid of it before the next 50,000 miles since that’s the average they last until the PCV system starts to fail again.

I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic that I purchased with 30,000 miles on it from the dealer. There was a recall on the car for the catalytic converter, saying high temperatures from the engine was melting internal components. Of course their fix was not to replace catalytic converters, but to reprogram the ECM running temperature. However they sent the recall slip to the wrong address and by the time I had gone to the dealer I already had a check engine light on, and they wanted 150 dollars to diagnose the problem. I had to get through emissions and get the light off so I went to the local Shell service station. They informed me my catalytic was almost completely melted and malformed on the inside. I contacted Chevy and they said it needed to go to the dealer to get looked at and they would make an appointment, but after a week of no contact from them and a need for emissions so I could register my car, I brought it to Shell and had the work done. Then of course Chevy called and said there was nothing they could do because I had the work done elsewhere. Not offering catalytic converters to customers whose had melted, after acknowledging the ECM they set is causing the issue, is despicable. After spending 1000 dollars on a new car, a part that should never fail, they certainly lost a customer in me with their poor handling of this issue.

Own the Chevy Bolt for less than 6 months. Hatch window shattered for not apparent reason. Turning in an intersection, so no other vehicle passing. I took the car back to Jenner Chevrolet in Victoria, BC thinking this was a faulty window. I was informed they will not replace it even though there is no evidence of impact or damage to the window to warrant the window to shatter. The Jenners repair and parts manager told me the side and back windows are designed to shatter with any impact for safety reasons! He then proceeded to inform me that a small sliver of porcelain dropping on the window could cause it to shatter. He refused to contact Chevrolet to enquire if this will be covered, or report the incident. Told me that would be up to me to report this. So I am assume if this is how Chevy designs their windows to shatter with minimal impact, I dont think I would feel safe placing a toddler in the car in case they decided to tap on the windows and have it shatter in their hand. Initially I was accepting of the poor ride and comfort of the Bolt (poor suspension and uncomfortable seats), but I dont think I would recommend this vehicle to my friends or family. I was initially going to purchase a Nissan Leaf as friends has been pleased with their Leaf and has never had any issue with the Nissan dealership in Victoria, BC.

In 2015 I bought a brand new Chevy Sonic so that I would not have to put money into a car besides maintenance. Well since the car was under 2 years old I’ve been spending thousands of dollars and 1 part breaks every year for the last 3 years and GM refuses to do anything about it. They told me it’s cover, well the part is covered. Still that’s $55 but the labor is not which is over $400 dollars. I’ve took my car in the shop because it continuously jerks. I spent about $1400 2 shop visit plus a new purge valve which they only charge me for the part because they missed it. (This is also the same valve that has broke for 3 years straight) But they said that’s why the car was still jerking. The valve was missing. But got it home it was doing the same thing but worst so I personally called GM to do something about their brand of car. Do you think they did anything? NO they direct me back to pay another Chevy dealership $160 for another diagnosis. I will never in my life support this business and I will make sure to tell all my family and friends to never buy a Chevy.

It was a very dissatisfying experience at Kingdom Chevrolet in Chicago, IL. A 2018 Chevy Camaro 1LT was advertised as $17,695 on their website and seeing that I called Kingdom Chevy and confirmed the car availability and price. They were affirmative for both. I traveled all the way to their place for 2 hours and met the representative and he said there wont be any changes in the price and $17,695 is the final price plus TTL. We did the test drive and because the price was confirmed, I accepted for their credit run to know the APR that I will receive though I have an offer from bank. I gave all the confidential information and they ran my credit check. Now the manager comes and say, the price on the website was including some rebates and he can offer the car for $25500. Manager started asking me if I am in military or a student or a teacher, etc. How could a customer browsing through the internet know if rebates are applied or not. I was thinking $17,695 is a right price as 2019 models are already on the roads and they are trying to get rid of 2018 models and hence the price. I do not have concern on Chevrolet brand but the dealership is fooling the customers with false prices on their website.

My Chevy Cruise was so wonderful and dependable. It was light blue, and drove like a dream. It had a great sound system. Lots of room for friends or hauling things. It was four door--my favorite style. The trunk was very roomy.

I love the Chevy truck me and my boyfriend have. Its safe overall and hasnt really had any major problems. The truck is easy to keep clean and havent really had problems with it. We like the heated seats, how it looked. How it drove and Ive always loved Chevys and will probably always buy them. The fact how safe it is and that it will be a great family truck and we will be able to give it to our daughter one day. However, I dont like how much parts cost to fix it but other than that my whole family loves it. We bought the truck lifted, so the tires and most everything else cost a lot to fix or replace but it still doesnt ruin the truck for me. I would totally recommend this truck to anyone or my family. Its going to be a great family truck when our little one comes in June.

I bought a 2018 Colorado ZR2 in April. Last night the oil cooler line failed. I called Roadside and they towed my truck to the dealer for repair. This is a common issue from what I see on many forums. I called the dealer and they told me they don’t have the part and wouldn’t be able to get one from Denver until Tuesday. I then called GM customer service to find out what they can be done. My situation, I’m from Las Vegas and I had to drive to Lander Wy to help out my mother and father. My father has to have surgery Monday. Earlier this week my mother was hospitalized and needed help to take care of my father and get him to his appointment on Monday. I drove up to help out and on Friday the oil line failed. I have to get him to his appointment and return to my family and job. I asked GM what could be done and they told me I could get a rental but I couldn’t leave the state. Expressed the gravity of the situation and they said they would have to get with the senior supervisor but he won’t be available until Monday. Unacceptable. He then told me he would patch me through to his supervisor and put me on hold. I have been on hold for an hour and a half so far. I have only owned GM products, this will be my last.

2018 TRAVERSE VIN # ** Mileage: less than 10000 (ten thousand). Export version only. Country: COLOMBIA. Many small issues and no fix yet.1. Shift to park. When you park the vehicle ask you to put it in PARK and it is already. Dealer is working on that as I write this thread. Tech found a recall or bulletin from manufacturer to repair or possible replacement of some parts.2. SERVICE STABILITRACK. In many and random occasions this service light comes on and 20 seconds later goes off. When stopping at a light. Dealer unable to duplicate and no fix yet.3. Fuel economy system, it does not work right now, and it happened twice before. Does not turn off when you stop at a traffic light. Dealer has updated software in order to remedy this issue.4. Locking audio confirmation. When you manually lock the doors it gives you an audio or lights confirmation. It does not work anymore. Dealer looking into this issue.5. Electric parking brake. The electric parking brake activated itself while driving in traffic. Heavy traffic situation 5 mph and the E. brake came on and stayed on. The vehicle did not move forward or backwards. Turn the engine off several times, put in parking, neutral etc etc. After 5 minutes of blocking traffic had to force the vehicle to the shoulder. Almost did not make it. Turn vehicle off and called the flat bed. While waiting 15-20 minutes later turn vehicle on and SURPRISE!!! It was fixed. MAGIC. The E brake was off and the vehicle was free. While this was going on the E Brake light (red) was on, and Service Parking Brake light (amber) was flashing all the time. Dealer did an update to the system and not sure if it will happened again. But this is the THIRD time this happened. Once at my house about six months ago but it took about 1 minute and it fix itself so I did not pay attention to it. The second time it happened to my wife at a shopping center but she left it in the lot and went back shopping and when it came out it was fixed. The dealer down here works hand to hand to a place in Mexico (Chevrolet help center for dealers). Mexico looks at the issue and tells the tech in Colombia what to do. He does and reports to Mexico. Anyone knows anything about this? Thanks for your help....

The dealer was in a different town. We had to drive a little was to see the truck. The truck was really nice and had all the things we were looking for in a new truck. The price was another thing that made the truck a little more appealing.

My first car was a 1980 Camaro. Loved that car and wish I still had it, have had other vehicles that fell short of my expectations, and they were not chevys. I now have a Chevrolet cruze and I love this car and knock on wood no problems and have about 115000 miles on it. A Chevrolet is all I will ever buy.

This is a great car but the overall experience is marred by some petty greed. The car comes with the ability to remote start; check battery, location, lock unlock; etc. This all comes with a internet connection through AT&T. They want between $180 to $420 per year to keep this service active. Thats absurd. My Ford provides these services free of charge. I understand that OnStar operators need to be paid but I am talking about basic tech services here. Is my car charged? When was it last driven? etc. I would love all that OnStar has to offer but I am unwilling to pay for it. Why cant Chevy provide basic informational services like Ford does for free?

Bought a 3500 diesel. Was told motor and tranny would last forever, after 3000 miles brakes wore out on a Saturday. Replaced brakes and rotors with aftermarket on Saturday night so I had a vehicle for the weekend, went to dealer on Monday morning and was told brakes were not warrantied, Brakes should last longer than 3000 miles so there was obviously something wrong. Was told to get the ** out and to go to the dealer where the vehicle was purchased. Went to original dealer and was told nothing was wrong. At 40000 miles motor started to knock. Was told it was a sensor. Replaced sensor. Still same knock. They finally take my truck in and admit the motor was bad. Gave me a loaner for a month then called to tell me they needed their loaner back because it was sold as I was rudely yelled at by general manager and was told that loaners were for a few days not for a month. They did not have a loaner to replace it so Chevy corporate told me they would send me a refund if I had rented a truck. Needless to say they took 3 months to fix my truck and after six months and numerous phone calls still have not received any money from them. Was a dedicated chevy truck guy until this whole fiasco. Never again. Truck is a complete junior $65000.
