Land Rover Automobile Model 2027 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Hybrid

2027 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Hybrid

The 2027 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Hybrid combines premium SUV comfort with the benefits of electrified driving. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain blends a turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering strong acceleration while allowing shorter journeys to be completed using electric power alone.

With athletic styling, advanced suspension technology, and a sophisticated interior, the Range Rover Sport Hybrid is designed for drivers who want performance and luxury alongside improved everyday efficiency.

Engine and Performance

The Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid pairs a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six gasoline engine with an electric motor and rechargeable battery. Depending on the version and market, combined output can reach approximately 434 horsepower or more.

An eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive provide smooth acceleration and confident traction. Electric assistance delivers immediate torque when pulling away from a stop, while the gasoline engine supplies additional power for highway driving and longer journeys.

The result is a luxury SUV that feels responsive without relying exclusively on a large gasoline engine. Final 2027 powertrain specifications may vary by trim and market.

Plug-In Hybrid Efficiency

Unlike a conventional mild hybrid, the Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid can be charged externally and driven for a limited distance using electricity alone. Previous versions have offered an estimated electric range of approximately 51 miles under U.S. testing, although the official range for a particular 2027 model should be confirmed when specifications are finalized.

Drivers can use electric mode for suitable local journeys and switch to hybrid operation for longer trips. Regenerative braking recovers energy during deceleration, helping replenish the battery.

Charging at home using a compatible Level 2 charger can make daily driving more convenient. Actual electric range and fuel economy depend on temperature, speed, terrain, driving style, and battery charge.

Sporty Exterior Design

The Range Rover Sport Hybrid retains the model's muscular proportions and streamlined appearance. Its sculpted bodywork, distinctive LED headlights, flush door handles, and broad stance give it a modern, athletic character.

Subtle hybrid details are integrated into the design without compromising its premium appearance. Available alloy wheels, exterior colours, and styling packages allow buyers to personalize the vehicle.

The elevated ride height and practical SUV shape provide useful visibility and ground clearance while maintaining a sportier profile than the full-size Range Rover.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the cabin combines premium materials with a clean, contemporary layout. Supportive seating, refined finishes, and careful sound insulation help create a comfortable environment for commuting and long-distance travel.

A 13.1-inch central touchscreen operates Land Rover's Pivi Pro infotainment system, providing access to navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings. Wireless smartphone connectivity and a digital instrument display add convenience.

Depending on the trim, available features include heated and ventilated seats, massage functions, a head-up display, four-zone climate control, and premium Meridian audio. The five-seat cabin offers useful passenger space and a flexible cargo area.

Handling and All-Terrain Capability

The Range Rover Sport Hybrid is designed to balance comfort with responsive handling. Adaptive suspension helps control body movement, while available rear-wheel steering improves maneuverability at low speeds and stability at higher speeds.

Its all-wheel-drive system and Terrain Response technology help adapt traction and vehicle settings to different surfaces. This makes the SUV suitable for winter roads, gravel tracks, and moderate off-road adventures.

Advanced driver-assistance features can include adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and parking cameras, depending on equipment.

Final Verdict

The 2027 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Hybrid offers a compelling combination of luxury, performance, and plug-in efficiency. Its electric driving capability can reduce gasoline use on shorter trips, while the gasoline engine provides flexibility for longer journeys. For drivers seeking a premium SUV with athletic handling and modern hybrid technology, it remains an appealing option.

I bought a Range Rover Sport several months ago. 24 hours after my purchase while on a family trip, I started experiencing software issues. The radio, internet, several areas of the dashboard went blank and no Bluetooth connectivity. The answer was to do a software update at the dealership once I returned. The local dealership has been very nice and supportive applying these updates now monthly, but now we have given up. Since these updates would correct the problem for about 24 hours, it was not worth the time or effort. It is a product issue. My issues are now daily and extremely frustrating. The dealership helped me as much as they could and had to refer me to their Customer Support folks out of NJ. I hope you NEVER have to interact with the team out of NJ. The Range Rover team out of NJ are the worst support team that I have ever experienced. They denied further assisting me and basically stated by email that I need to wait for a new update to resolve my issue. There is no ETA on this issue being resolved. No call back to discuss this over the phone. I have multiple emails and calls into my rep. trying to further discuss my issues over the phone. I have been very patient and nice, but now I am done and now sharing this experience with others PRIOR to their purchase or support others out there with the same situation.

Took to land rover and will not honor the warranty as clutch wear was due to incorrect operation! I have had Vauxhall and Audi previously and driven over 100k miles and still no problems. So much for prestige vehicle. £1500 bill on the way!!!!!

2009 Range Rover Sport HSE. Handling is not great. For the amount paid the suspension could be much tighter. The SUV electronics does not fare well in temperatures under 20 degrees f*. The engine runs great and feels extremely safe. Overall this suv is really about the looks over the functions. Lots of things have gone wrong and thankfully we have a 140k warranty which has been used A LOT!

The Range Rover Sport is by far the most unreliable vehicle I have ever owned. What a disappointment for a luxury SUV. The car always has issues, stays in the shop and is constantly in need of some type of service. The smallest things will require you to go to the dealer to be addressed. When any warning light comes on, prepare yourself for a trip to the dealer with your credit card ready. And this is way too often. For example, Ive had my tire pressure light come on, which is an appreciated notification, but after filling the tires with air the warning light wouldnt go off. Who needs a trip to the dealer for putting air in the tires? No thank you! Its an awesome looking vehicle but the maintenance is a part-time job and expensive. This car is like dating a young supermodel. Its great when its new and quite beautiful to look at, but it needs a lot of work under the hood and it is gonna cost you! You will get to know your repairman quite well if you purchase this vehicle. A truly disappointing experience.

This is a great car. The drive is safe and smooth. The inside of the car is detailed with everything needed except there is not one place to put sunglasses! For a car in this price range you would expect there to be a slot or compartment for sunglasses. The button for the trunk is in the worst place - never even knew where it was! Near your knee, under the steering wheel. And the button the release the hood is even lower. Very bad placement- The location where we take our Rovers for service Is located in Thornhill Ontario Canada. It is awful! The service department is unorganized and unreliable.

Its my second purchase of a Range Rover. The first was excellent but the second is junk! The car (2015 Range Rover) was fine until it went in for the second service to the Miami dealership. It had normal service plus tire rotation, balance and alignment. It took 3 days which is absurd for 4-5 hours of work. They delivered it back to me and I drove it that night. When it reached 65mph it began shaking and I mean shaking apart. How could it go in perfect and come out a mess with 12k miles? After the second attempt to repair the problem, I was told I had an out of round tire. I was very confused. I called the tire manufacturer and they were more confused than me. They said for the sequence of what had taken place thus far, it was impossible. Still no smooth ride so it went in again. I started thinking about how when I accelerate from a stop into a turn, it seems that one of the tires jerks sometimes. This began when the car was new. When I spoke to my service writer, he had the service manager ride with me and just by chance it did the jerking motion again. The manager said it was normal traction control. Why did I dismiss it so quickly? Im not the expert is the true answer. Did that cause the out of round tire? Now it jerks all the time and shakes at 65mph and higher speeds. To make a long story short, Ive used the Lemon Law of the state consumer protection laws. The dealership had another attempt to repair but it has only gotten worse. I then met with the GM who agreed it doesnt ride smooth. Get new tires and bring it in for a trade was his advice. So I did and the deal for the trade was an additional $8000 and my lease payment went up to $2100. I just stood up and walked out. Thank goodness I saved every email to corporate, which by the way was worthless. 35 emails with proof of dealership lies, the invoices of five attempts, every text message and voicemail backed up with the AT&T bills, 3 witnesses and a law degree is the backup I have. The state and I will send a message to Land Rover loud and clear.

Range Rover sport HSE 2010 - As I read some of these reviews I realize that this scam bags at dealership did not disclose that these cars had to be recalled. I bought mine at November of 2010. Within the first month my navigation and center council kept on shooting off. They could or fix this even though the tech from England tried to remotely fix this. After thirty days they replaced the entire wiring and later on I sue and won 8k. Then I see the same violent leak and it was water pump and I have this again after 4 years. Then the gauge in the gas tank broke/stuck and I was left in middle of highway. Beautiful car even after 4 years but crappy workmanship. My boomers are coming out and body shop is telling me he does not like to fix it as any time he touches these cars something else break and does not worth for him.

Land Rover sent out a recent notice for my 2011 Range Rover. It was a familiar message because I could smell gas in and around the car while it was parked after only six weeks of owning it. The letter says to call Land Rovers main number and reference the recall for support. Guess what? Theres no option on the phone menu other than for Takata airbag recall, and if you wait in line, it loops you back to the menu again. I was able to get a rep by hitting the airbag option, who told me they knew nothing and called the dealer. A call to the dealer yielded no information as they knew nothing either. The dealer said, We got a letter too but dont know any more information.. The trouble is I dont want to be at the end of a list with 50k other cars on it to get this problem fixed. Some folks arent impacted by it right now and given I cant drive, it would be helpful to prioritize anybody whose car is dangerous to operate.

They had some issue with the phone going straight to answering machine so I decided to drive to them... Drove 20 min, went into service and their reply was, We cant look at your car for 2 weeks and have no loaner to offer. Can either take a cab home or wait 2 weeks. Let the water drip... I purchased a 2008 Range Rover HSE. Car started making loud rapping sound from engine compartment. No warning or service lights are on. Had car towed to where all service had been done, Land Rover of North Hills in Pittsburgh. Was told that no oil registered on dipstick and that low oil light was now on but no service reminder light is on. Check of records shows last oil service was done there 40,000 miles/16 mo. ago. Inspection of car at dealer shows oil full 10,000 mi/5 mo ago. Advised to get new engine at my expense. I feel dealer/manufacturer bear some responsibility because service light/low oil light never came on and argue that most customers have several cars and rely on these lights to keep track of service intervals. Dealer and Land Rover International feel you cannot rely on the lights and have to keep track of service intervals and oil level yourself.

My $75k car broken down after 2 days of ownership. This is my 3rd day of ownership for this brand new 2017 Range Rover Sport car and I have already experienced a multitude of problems. I left the dealership with a full tank, but today the car said my tank was empty even though I only drove 160 miles according to odometer. I called the dealer and was asked to drive to dealership for a checkup. My dealer (Encino CA) is 26 miles away, so I decided to drive to Pasadena Land Rover (1 mile away) for a quick checkup. Then, out of nowhere, my car stalled 4 times in the middle of road on the way to the dealership. I almost got into accident because the car stalled while I was turning in an intersection!Once again, my Range Rover stalled at dealer’s parking spot which happened to be at an incline. The car (switched to?) neutral and I began to slide backwards. Although I was screaming for help because I was losing control my car, the service guy took his sweet time. He nonchalantly told me to keep pressing on the break. However, because of how heavy the car is and I was stationed at an incline it took a considerable amount of strength to press the break in order to make sure the car stayed still. My foot was holding the break for five minutes before the dealer finally approached me. I almost lost my strength to hold on break because my foot was shaking from the amount of force I was using to push the break. I almost attempted to press the panic button.Instead of driving a brand new car, I felt that I was driving some 50-year-old car. Even with its advanced safety features, the system still failed me and I could have gotten into a fatal accident. No one should have to deal with these issues, especially if the car is brand new and you have only driven for a couple of days. Overall, the Range Rover Sport 2017 is an unreliable car and Land Rover has bad service. Don’t buy this car or any cars from this company.

I loved the car, hated the payment. Not really that much variety to choose from. Other car manufacturer offer more choices. As far as that goes however, for a luxury car its great. The appearance of my Land Rover was amazing. It was sleek and stylish design and loaded with standard features, cruise control, heat and air, CD player, heated leather seats. Also, personalized options were minimal and what was offered coated way too much so I had to compromise on the features I wanted or install after market which voided the warranty. Passenger capacity was also great you could fit 5 adults comfortably which is great for going on road trips with friends or taking your family on vacations.

In January 2012, we experienced a blow out on front driver side of our 2008 Black Range Rover, which tore up the wiring harness that was above the wheel well. Land Rover was unable to secure parts to fix the vehicle, namely the wiring harness, for seven months. During the seven months they had the vehicle, they had told us they would take care our financial costs to rent a vehicle during this time due to them not being able to loan us a car from the dealership. They have now refused to help with any of the $3,944 worth of expenses we incurred from renting another vehicle to drive during that seven months. They have been terrible to deal with and are liars. After dozens of emails and phone calls to them during these seven months confirming that they would reimburse the charges after the vehicle was fixed, they have basically now said they cant do anything for us. I will never ever purchase another Land Rover. Our insurance paid out over $18,000 to them to repair the vehicle and they still treat their customers unfairly. We couldnt be any more disappointed in this establishment - not only disappointment in their ability to secure parts in a timely fashion but also in their unfair treatment of customers. This is the first review I have ever written so you know the magnitude of our disappointment.

I leased a new 2017 Range Rover sport dynamic. I absolutely love the vehicle!! I have owned many many cars, I have a lot to compare to. Expensive sports cars, luxury vehicles blah blah... I love this vehicle!! However, I will never lease or buy another one again. Unfortunately, I was in a collision not my fault but that doesn’t really matter. What matters is - It took 6 months for the dealer to repair my vehicle because Land Rover did not have the parts available. Can I remind everyone it’s a 2017 fairly new car. The parts should be readily available!! 6 months no vehicle is a long time. It was suggested to me to contact Land Rover directly with regard to the needed parts. I contacted them. They took all the info and passed it on to a claim agent.I was contacted for additional info and they let me know my parts are on back order. Weeks and weeks later I find out one of the parts - a wiring harness doesn’t exist and the factory has to make one!! That took 2 months. In the meantime calls not returned - no response to emails and when I received a response it was patronizing and totally unhelpful. Never in a million years would I have thought a company like Land Rover would not have parts available for their newer model vehicles. I’m extremely disappointed in the way they handled the situation. Reputable companies are all about customer service and customer satisfaction. They failed big time!

Land Rovers were first described to me to be an all-terrain vehicle that can handle a variety of weather conditions. Some have a roll feature on top in case the vehicle were to roll, most are more square in appearance and have the inside of a sporty luxury vehicle. Land Rovers and Range Rovers both have upgrade features that many other car brands have as well and most vehicles have the ability for seat options greater than 5 people which is great for large families or people needing the extra space for traveling, off roading, camping, etc. Loved the Land Rover but expensive to maintain.

In 2015 I was one of first 20 people to order the Discovery Sport. I was so super happy on getting this SUV, until 1 year later the problems began. Problems I had: Front door creaking sound, exterior strips and trims came loose, crack in passenger side rear quarter window, trunk not closing evenly, AC foul smell and replaced water pump, radio/clock issues, front passenger door not opening and alarm turned on for no reason, break sounds, drivers seat back panel coming detached, and last and worst problem was the transmission failure. That did it for me! In 2 years time the car stayed in the shop for 45 days. I opened up a claim through the manufacturer and the best they could come up with was, We will compensate two months of payments and did not approve a buyback. That is not good enough. I am contacting you as I am at my wits end and are asking for your help as a last resort. I hope by approaching the press with my story, it will highlight the issues of safety, quality and customer service which my elderly Father has faced from Jaguar Land Rover. Before I begin to list the problems, of which there are many, I wish to highlight that through research this is not an isolated incident and the vehicle is, I believe a major health and safety hazard. I also wish to point out he is in no way looking for any recompense from them, he knows better than to think he could. I purely wish to highlight their inadequacies so hopefully other people don’t suffer as he has. I will now list chronologically all the issues he has suffered. After 8000 miles the trouble began. Whilst in Solihull the car came to a halt on a main road with no warning. The police came as we were causing an obstruction and he had to pay to have the vehicle towed home and for taxis for his son and daughter to get home who were in the car at the time. Costing nearly £180. An Engineer took the car to a Land Rover dealership in Erdington. Diagnosis, the gear box had gone. It took 9 weeks after the diagnosis for them to order the part and a further 3 weeks to fix it. He was given a courtesy car to use whilst it was being repaired. He specified he needed a tow bar to use for his holidays to take his caravan with him. They provided him a Toyota Hilux with a cab on the back like a building contractor would use. He refused the car as it was completely unsuitable for a family holiday. He then had to pay for train tickets to take his family to Devon.A Lady from Head office said they would compensate him, however it never came to fruition and also the car he didn’t want was left sitting on his drive for 3 more weeks. A representative from Land Rover contacted my Father to inform him the they had supplied him with the wrong log book, for a cheaper model of car. He had to have his insurance amended which cost him £40. Whilst driving down the road the tailgate opened on its own and he had to perform an emergency stop. Next the gear box developed a leak and the tailgate began to rub against the bumper when closing. Which was damaging the bumper. Returned vehicle to garage and they told him “the tailgate hasn’t dropped, the bumper has lifted up”. Which was completely absurd. They had the car in 3 times to fix the tailgate unsuccessfully, still adamant it was a problem with the bumper not the tailgate. He eventually took it independently to a Mercedes Garage who looked at it and saw the tailgate was 10mm lower than it should be. He returned it to Land Rover who then agreed it was the tailgate at fault. After agreeing the tailgate and bumper needed replacing because they were damaged and faulty they took the vehicle back in. They had the car for another 4 weeks to replace the 2 items. When he went to collect it upon completion of the work., he noticed something didn’t look correct. After some heated discussion with their engineers, they conceded they had forgotten to put the bolts in the apron below the bumper which was just resting on and not actually attached. Finally got the car home and everything was allegedly fixed. At this stage the car had been in the garage for nearly 4 months. Then, the tailgate dropped again. He took it to a different dealership in Darlaston, who ‘fixed it’ and returned it but said they never had time to valet it but would send someone to valet it at his house. No one ever came, and on inspection it appeared the boot and bonnet had never even been opened. Again he took it back to Erdington for them to fix, again they said they had but the problem persisted. Another complaint he had was the rangefinder being wildly inaccurate. When he explained that it needed calibrating, their response was “well can’t you just do without it.” While taking the car through an automatic car wash one of the panels on the door fell off. They are only held on by press studs and can actually just pulled off.Car was now leaking oil heavily and needed to go back in again. He was told to drive it to the garage but refused as the engine was completely dry of oil. So they had to send the RAC to take the vehicle to the garage as engine would have seized. He refused to send the car back to the Erdington dealership as he didn’t trust them to fix the car. The car, now at Solihull, now needed the tailgate fixing again, the headlining in the interior had come down and needed reattaching and the gasket on the gear box had gone and needed replacing. All in approx. 2 weeks to get parts and fix they said. He received a phone call at 7 pm on the night from an unknown number in High Wycombe who told him they were a private firm who were going to give him a courtesy car, but they wanted bank details and card details and to withhold a security deposit of £500 for the vehicle. When he refused to hand over his bank details to someone he doesn’t know they hung up and he was never offered another courtesy car even though the vehicle had warranty on it still. Didn’t get the car back for over a month, during which time he had no courtesy car and had to rely on taxis and public transport. During one of the many repairs done to the tailgate, one of their engineers didn’t attach the terminals to the secondary battery properly, causing them to arc and melt the terminal. This was very dangerous and again, needed replacing. The oil leak has damaged his drive and his daughters. Was forced to have them professionally cleaned. When he complained they said he would be compensated for it, but the best they offered him was a free service, although he had already paid for services for the first 5 years. He has had several customer services people from Land Rover, but can never get hold of them again and they just pass the buck on to the next one. One of them who was supposed to be his point of contact didn’t even know which dealership his car was at being repaired. Genuinely the worst customer service you could imagine from what is regarded as one of the most prestigious car companies in the country. He paid for the Car upfront at a price of nearly £51000, in 2014, and it has spent nearly 7 months in the garage. It’s still only done 20000 miles. He was left without a courtesy car for 7 weeks, with nothing but empty promises of compensation, other than an extra years warranty. He is now ultimately too scared to drive the car a long distance, but feels it irresponsible to sell it to someone else as it could cause them harm.

I purchased my Discovery Sport 5 years ago and the moment payments were complete and warranty was up the timing chain broke, damaged the valves and failed the engine entirely. This incident happened a few days ago on the highway (clearly safety issues here!) and I was lucky enough that I could pull over and stay in one piece. Vehicle was towed and dealership first told me in order to replace the valves and fix everything it costs 10,000 $. They then called again and said they dont even feel comfortable with that because it can fail again so the entire engine needs to be rebuild therefore cost will come to 20,000$!!Now to be clear, I have serviced this car year every year (64000 miles currently aka well below 100k miles) since purchase and have completed all the recommended replacements and services with the dealership asked me to do since 2015. In fact the question now is why at each service visit multiple parts had to be replaced (costing anywhere from 500-4000) and now at 5 year mark the entire engine fails!!! Do your research. I looked this up and there is a lawsuit in 2018, same incident right after the 5 mark warranty. The customers car shut down when the customer was driving (in NJ).Company should be paying 100% for this repair or simply buy this junk back from me and give me a new car. I am in a back and forth situation with the dealership. I called the company and they opened the claim for me but the person on the phone had the audacity to ask me well I am not sure what you want us to do here. They also havent bothered following up. No one made any comment about the safety either!! As of now it is clear to me the company does not back their own products and they failed to inform the customers about the issue or recalling it when they knew very well timing chain has ongoing issues. More importantly safety is not their concerns at all!!! This matter will be escalated on my part! Dont buy their product!!! Choose wisely and do your research. I will be happy to spread the word on every social media platform so customers are aware and know their safety is at risk!

I bought the new Land Rover Disco in June 2018 and it has been at the dealership for more than half the time of my ownership. This is my first JLR vehicle and very disappointed. Issue with Diesel engine jerking and acts like it is stalling every morning after cold start for almost a minute - it will not let me accelerate. Big safety issue. Then there is the Infotainment system - it just hangs and the rearview camera is choppy initially - objects suddenly appear dangerously close when the camera refreshes.Dropped it off at dealer to get these issues checked - they took 1 month to supposedly resolve the issues - however they found the windshield to be leaking (on a 4 month old car). This took almost 1.5 months to arrive (heated windshield) from UK. After installing it, they found none of the electronics will power on - apparently water damage was found in both electronic controllers and they are currently replacing them. After 3.5 months I still did not get my vehicle back. With the water damage I am seriously concerned about mold and breathing it continuously through the AC system. Its a safety hazard. This is ridiculous and just bad quality control. Its a Safety and Health Hazard. JLR needs to ditch the buggy infotainment system - at some point a good business needs to realize when to cut the losses and switch to a different option.

The 2014 Evoque Range Rover is an accident waiting to happen. Recalls to updates to not understand how this car is supposed to run. For an higher end car it does not hold true to quality. Car has 76,000 miles and told its needs a new transmission for $24,000 which is the value of the car. Car stalls when on highway, car stalls when out in gear. Higher quality parts do not last longer than any other car. Problem after problem. Worst car I have ever owned from day one. You dont know if its the eco turning car off or if its stalling.

I have leased a Land Rover Evoque 2015 (new) - it has 92000 km and my lease is up Jan 2019. On July 14 the engine just stopped - I had it towed to a local mechanic. I wanted to make sure it was not just a battery issue (quick review) - I was told that the engine had experienced a catastrophic failure and caused the top of the engine block to blow off. I then had it towed to Metro West - where they just sat on the car for over two weeks- Always telling me that they are working on it with Land Rover. On July 27 I went into the dealer and demanded answers. The Service manager gave me a toll free number to Land Rover. I made the call and they had no record of my vehicle issue. It then takes Land Rover until Aug 03 - to tell me that if I went through them they would put in up to 3500.00 on repairs. They only want to replace with new engine (cost 18,000.00). Still they have not investigated why this happened. All service was performed, with the proper oil - there was no tell tail signs that there was an issue, the engine had the proper amount of oil. I have all records and photos of engine, plus a letter with a licensed mechanic opinion. On Aug 07 - I have towed my car from Metro West and brought it to my regular mechanic OK Hi Standard Tire. Through all this I have rented my own car - which I need to get myself prepared for a kidney transplant and work. I have asked Hi Standard tire to take all photos and see if we can determine what failed internally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a 2016 Range Rover and was happy with the transaction until the first time that I washed the car (3 weeks after purchase). I discovered spots on the sides of the car that actually changed the color of the paint. The spots were caused by the tire dressing that was on the USED upgraded rims which were represented as being brand new by the dealership. I know that they were used because 3 weeks after the purchase, the sales manager accidentally told me that they had 7,000 miles on them.I took the car to a detail shop and a body shop to see if they could get the spots out, and both places said that they have seen these same type of spots before. They stated that the spots came from the wrong type of tire dressing splashing up on to the paint and they can change the color of the paint to the point that you have to strip the car and repaint. It is especially noticeable on white paint (my Range Rover is white). This dealership took NO responsibility for the spots that were caused by them and Im being forced to sue them. I am extremely disappointed in Ventura Land Rover and would never recommend them to anyone. Go to the Westlake Land Rover, they will treat you fairly. I bought my previous Range Rover from them and I should have stuck with them, they were excellent.

I purchased a Land Rover Discovery TD5 new from Lance **, Ferntree Gully in October 2004. On or around 13 March 2013 Lance ** replaced the fuel pump in the vehicle, which involved removing and replacing the fuel tank. Following this work, the fuel gauge was not seated correctly (showing incorrect fuel levels) and the fuel tank was removed and the gauge reseated. In June 2016 fuel started leaking from above the fuel tank when the motor was running. The fuel tank was removed to find damaged fuel lines because they had not been correctly sighted when the fuel tank was replaced in 2013.On or around 26 September 2013 Lance ** replaced the battery in my vehicle. Following this work I was unable to turn the motor off, the cruise control kept disengaging, and the electric trailer brakes were not working. I had to return the vehicle to have these matters rectified, but paid for a new electric brake console myself. On or around 16 September 2014 Lance ** completed a service and failed to notify me, or carry out mechanical work on a water leak. At this same service I had asked that a light in the dashboard be replaced, but I was informed they were unable to obtain a globe. I think you will agree that the events described above are unacceptable. I had been taking the vehicle to Lance ** believing I would receive an excellent standard of service, but I have been grossly let down and incurred considerable financial costs.

While driving home, the engine revved up, an engine light came on and vehicle died. I had it towed to Land Rover dealer in Maryland, and was told the engine locked and the vehicle needed a new engine. Extended warranty took care of a refurbished engine after being in the shop for a month. After replacement of the engine, light and revving continued. The vehicle has been in the shop over 15 times for engine light issues. I even had a new wiring harness placed on the vehicle for $1100. The engine light came back on three weeks later. After randomly speaking to people who I come across with the same vehicle, I discovered that the engine light is a common problem. One man told me his engine light has been on for 3 years. WOW!!!

I purchased a 2018 Range Rover Sport with the expectation that a six figure car would have everything sorted and working. I was wrong. The media module decides when it wants to work, doesnt load all of my music and contacts, and wont connect to my iPhone if it doesnt feel like it. Ive had it back to the dealer 3 times. They have changed the module and tried everything they can to fix it but I have been told that there is nothing else they can do. Apparently its an issue between Apple and Land Rover and Land Rover wont pay the fee to Apple for system upgrades, hence issues with Apple phones. Its incredibly frustrating considering the cost of the car and the advertising Land Rover puts out about their luxury car abilities. Their arrogance lets them down badly and doesnt bode well for reputation. Ive been left with well get in touch when we have a resolution. Not good enough.

I spent £112,000.00p on an RR Autobiography in July 2017. All the gadgets fitted and a special paint colour. Having spent such a sum I was furious to find out that I then was told I had to buy a data SIM card to make the traffic system work. I was totally insulted. I then found out that the factory fitted Tracker was not fit for purpose and would not be accepted by my insurance company, so I had to have a higher category of Tracker fitted. More hassle and more expense. The engine auto stop/start function is a complete joke for a vehicle of such supposed quality. When this dire function kicks in, the car rocks like a dump truck on a building site. Truly awful. After a few months, a piece of trim in the roof came adrift. Without doubt, this has been the most disappointing motoring of my entire life. I will never buy again any JLR product, either new or used. JLR, for the sake of a data SIM card, have lost a customer forever.

My 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged V8 was a wonderful car to drive, beautiful interior, looked amazing from the outside as well. I didnt have any complaints with it other than it was expensive to repair when things came up, and they did. But I knew what I was getting into and when you buy an expensive, luxury vehicle you expect this. What I didnt expect was a timing chain failure that destroyed the engine at 77,000 miles. What made this worse were a couple things.I apparently was wrong about the extended warranty I purchased. The dealer played the extended warranty as a way to buy extra coverage once the manufacturers warranty ended. This would have given me coverage for another year and or up to 80k mileage, which is what I thought I bought. Apparently Rovers dont get that type of coverage offered to customers because insurance companies know the issues are common in Rovers so they only offer extended warrantys that coincide with the manufacturers. Tells you something about their track record. I obviously didnt read the fine print on the warranty I bought and missed it covering this tragedy by 3k miles and 3 months. To fix the engine on this vehicle you have to replace it with a used one (about $12k) if you can find it or a new one ($30k). When I started digging into this I found out that Land Rovers V8 supercharged engines (also in Jaguar) have this timing chain failure happen all the time. I called a mechanic who specialized in Jag and Land Rovers and I began telling him my problem. He took over the conversation and began asking me questions like (is it a 2010-16?, is it the V8 supercharged? was it a timing chain failure? Did it have around 80k miles on it?). I was blown away as if he was a mind reader or something. Turns out, this happens so often and he repairs them so frequently that he knew exactly the situation I was in. He said its typically a $7-8k service call. That it happens all the time. I was really pissed off as you can imagine. My dealer was downplaying it like I was just some unfortunate person, like one in a million that this happens to. As I went online and started searching for information on this I realized that this is flaw in Land Rover/Jaguars v8 supercharged engines across their entire line. They know it. They deny it. And my guess is because buyers of these vehicles like myself have money, they just chalk it up as darn this must be my bad luck, oh well and dont say anything or make a big deal about it.Im not either other than writing this review I guess but my valued at $30k rover I had to salvage for $7k while I still owed $16k on the loan. I lost $23k in value because of a common engine component failure. Will I buy this great looking, good handling, awesome car ever again... no. So for all of you out there who want to own or do own one of these Jag/Land Rover V8s... Be very aware of this problem. It could cost you a bundle.

This past weekend I left my home in Central PA Saturday morning to drive up to Saugerties, NY to pick up my daughter where she was at a horse show with my parents and niece. I went to see her ride in her 1st show, then in the afternoon I intended to depart for Southern NJ. My wife is there for the summer with the kids and I drive back and forth. It was our wedding anniversary on Aug 4th, so I was headed there to celebrate with her.As I left Saugerties around 5pm on Saturday, my passenger rear tire blew out. Total blowout, with the wall of the tire torn. I called Land Rover roadside assistance because I couldnt find the spare. It was at that time I learned there is no spare in my car! Only a patch kit, which wasnt going to help me. LR roadside assistance said the only thing they were authorized to do was tow me North to Albany and then have the tire replaced Monday (2 days away). Because I wanted to get to Southern NJ, I had AAA tow the car to the nearest tire store. They believed they could get me on the road before they closed at 6p. When I got there and gave them the tire size 275/45 r21, they said, Thats a real unusual size. We dont have anything like that in stock. I spent the next two days calling around to tire centers in the greater NY metro area - no one has that tire in stock. Most never heard of that size. I was mystified that in one of the largest suburban metro areas of the world, I could not easily find the tire I needed when I had no spare. Did the designer of the truck not consider what might happen in the event of a blown tire? No spare, unique tire size... Off road machine??!! In the end we had to stay 2 extra days in a hotel, get towed 45 miles in the opposite direction of where we were headed, and pay Land Rovers premium prices on the tire to have it replaced. A flat tire, which should take 45 minutes to fix, took 2 -3 days with much expense, frustration and a missed anniversary. As a CEO of a mid-size company, Im familiar with customer service/customer experience architecture. I can only categorize my experience with Land Rover as policy driven and customer tone deaf. The Albany dealership was great. The Roadside Assistance was deplorable. A flat tire on $100,000 4x4 should not cause a 3-day delay... at least thats what my common logic tells me... Apparently not LR. To top it all off, the tow truck was 3 hours late on Monday. They detoured to pick up another accident before coming to us... Up until this point I loved the vehicle. After this incident my perception of Land Rover is not favorable and will likely not trade this Range Rover on another when the time comes. A problem is an opportunity to turn a customer into a fan. Unfortunately I am not. And I anticipate they will do nothing more to make me one.

This is my second Land Rover Sport. My first vehicle was excellent. Unfortunately both the product and the customer service associated with the product have descended to the level of abysmal. In three months of ownership the car has completely shut down 3 times and been towed from various locations. Within 3 days of delivery the car shut down on a major highway. Land Rovers corporate customer service response is comparable to dealing with a public utility or government office. They are rude, confrontational and unhelpful. This is a very expensive vehicle. I asked numerous times to speak with the CEO Ralf Speth to resolve this minor issue but Peter was unable to make that happen, as apparently customers are not important enough for him (the CEO) to call back. I did not want to go to Social Media but our experience has to be known to all so you can judge what company you want to do work with.Buyer beware when thinking about a vehicle from Land Rover as that are not good for their word (they werent for me) and they treat people differently. At the dealership and Company level I have been discriminated against and the dealership has a used car situation which this experience I will be posting soon on Social Media as well. This was such a minor issue for them and easily to fix but they chose to treat me differently than others have been treated and I just want to share my experience with you all. Land Rover was awesome. I loved the choices that they had for the public to choose from but I fell in love and picked the white truck that I purchased and even after I picked my truck there were still a ton of other colors and options that I wanted. If I had enough money to afford a second one I would have bought a second. I would pick a white one with peanut butter interior because the last one that I bought had a white exterior and black interior which wasnt really my favorite option for the truck.

I bought a new Range Rover Evoque in Feb 2015 only done 6000 miles and the parts are failing as if this is a prototype test model and the company does not have the courtesy to replace the car, all they are doing is replacing parts. The car has been with the dealer for 6 weeks from my ownership of 4 months. Parts replaced so far - O2 sensor, ENGINE, couple of modules, brake discs, rear bumper, doing paint job under the hood... Last I heard they are replacing some more parts. After opening an executive case also, they keep assuring me everything will be fixed without even considering a replacement.

I purchased a 2015 Land Rover LR4 HSE LUX in December 2014. A couple weeks later I started hearing an intermittent high-pitched sound from the dash. I have not been able to pinpoint what causes the noise. It doesnt matter whether or not I have the heat or AC on. I have had the car back to the dealership several times, for weeks at a time. They have admitted there is a problem, but they have not identified a fix. They have told me 3 other customers at my local dealership have the same complaint, but they have no answers. I have been in touch with both Land Rover North America Headquarters and the BBB. I have tried to evoke the SC Lemon Law. I have been told the noise does not qualify because it is not a safety issue. So here I am with a very expensive car that makes an obnoxious high-pitched noise and I can do nothing about it. I have never been more frustrated!

Love them. And even all cars are test drives fun. I really liked the type of all terrain vehicle that this brand provided and hope again to buy another one sometime around the spring time test drives. The appearance is amazing. This car is very good for rough ground and mountains. There isnt so many upgrades on the Land Rover but its still a really good car for anywhere. Have already recommended it to many people such as my friends and family. The gold version is very hard to clean and I really dont recommend it to anyone.

The car has 50,000 miles on it and I have had to replace the power steering shaft at a cost of $1,600. The horn button broke off and they do not sell just the button, they make you replace the entire horn. Most recently, my check engine light is reporting miss fires and they are recommending replacing all wires and spark plugs at a cost of $1,100. All of this within a 3 month period - awesome. I will never buy a Land Rover product ever again, and I am currently trying to sell mine. Dont put yourself through this. Oh, and in the same breath, the lovely assistant told me that my head gaskets are leaking coolant and oil which will be very costly. Great.

Land Rover is a very diverse brand of vehicles that Ive decided to never stray to different brand. The economics of their compacts for my kids to the SUV for my work, and the luxurious sedan for travel, and the sporty look as well for around town. I always felt they were rather boxy looking but over the past 10 years they have really caught up to and surpassed the other brands out there. Did not even think of no warranty too beautiful to care, that is where they get us, you just fall in love with the white soft leather, the heated seats, the beauty makes you forget about gas mileage and cost of ownership.Driving home could not be happier, until the death grade hill in the mountains. Gave her a little gas to get up the grade with complete confidence in vehicle. All of us have been sucked in by the allure of this vehicle, the strength, the false sense of security this piece of ** lulls you into as the smoke comes billowing out the exhaust as the engine blows out its ring seals in catastrophic fashion. Horrifying noises as every system drowns in a bath of oil as the piston rings blow out, intake and breather choking in oil blowing white smoke like the cooling tower at a nuclear reactor. I am driving on fire. I am going to burn to death on the way home from the dealer. ** me Im gonna burn. The divorce seems inevitable, every dollar spent now turns triple, time means nothing as the machining and valve job and honing and intake and parts overnighted from parts of Germany that you cannot pronounce. Taking apart this 4.4 has taught me that they are made to break, from the plastic timing guides to the fixtures needed to time the engine properly. I feel everyones pain. It took a month of nonstop work and a neverending line of delivery trucks with small packages of valves, rings and every part and o ring I could sign for. Of course my girl wanted me dead surrounded by cranes engine stands and jacks. My self hatred had reached a new level, no food, no talk just that piece of ** rover. I cannot say how much it cost because suicide is the only cure for what this vehicle has cost me.My heart goes out for everyone who took rover for strength. If you do not have a friend with a degree in mechanical (me) or a huge ungodly amount of money to throw at The lying ** called dealers do not fall in love with the ** named rover, walk away, run away, shoot yourself first, the medical bills for a stroke are cheaper than what it costs to keep this thing running, it will squeeze every last breath from you and then demand more....I wish I could listen to my own words, rover will always be my only girl. The fact that they are endangering me and fiancée’s life by letting me drives a car that is seriously defective. Causes me to question the intentions of the companies risk management practices and their exposure in the event of an accident. I have made several telephone complaints throughout the years and have taken the vehicle in for various repairs but more importantly it is the engine/turbocharger issue that endangers my fiancée’s life when the vehicle is not operating properly. It will not accelerate and I will have to turn off the engine and restart the car. This is very unsafe and has been in the shop for over 44 days over a 24 months period. This was a brand new Range Rover Evoque -2013.As stated in the Motor Vehicle Warranty and Lemon Law we notified Land Rover of our intentions to have them buy back the car. Case Number #**. We began the request for a repurchase from Land Rover for the purchase or buyback for our 2013 Range Rover Evoque under the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. They feel that they be didn’t have enough attempts that make the value of safety of car worthy of this act. They did offer a goodwill gesture of $1500 however by offering the money; they are acknowledging that there are numerous issues with this 2013 Range Rover Evoque. After being in the shop numerous times for Turbo Charger/Engine issues, we again took it in for service again in February 12, 2015, we didnt get it back until February 20th, 2015 and it will still need to go back to the shop. Mile 29924 (7 Days). The check engine light is on again, and it’s lacking power, and is red lining at 6000 RPM before it shifts gears. Joe went on test drive with the technician and the service writer to show them what he means. The technicians stated to Joe with the service writer in the car that something wasnt right with the turbocharger and that the engine was working too hard which is why it was causing it to shift at such a high RPM, however the Land Rover agent, is trying to say it’s something else. In reviewing the most recent paperwork, I don’t see why it would take 7 days to fix a bulb, which is how the latest service repair reads, nothing about Joe going on the test drive, and showing the red lining of the RPMs before it shift. They stated in the service contract that it was the thermostat regulator is not performing, they needed to do an update. There is no documentation that was witnessed by the Service Writer and the Technician that Joe went on the test drive and showed them it was red lining in the report or the notes. Which leads me to questions how truthful and forthcoming they have been with writing all the other service reports in Land Rovers favor. In Summation - THE LEMON LAW AND WHAT IS A REASONABLE NUMBER OF REPAIR ATTEMPTSAccording The Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (beginning with Civil Code section 1790) we qualify for the lemon law and protection for a newly leased vehicle, when a dealer is unable to meet the terms express written warranty after a reasonable number of repair attempts, the manufacture is required to promptly replace the vehicle or return the purchase price of the lessee or buyer.SECTION (B-1) This is an UNSAFE vehicle and in the event I cannot accelerate through traffic or end up in an accident because of the poor quality of the engine and number of attempts to replace the turbo engine/charger is now going on its third repair. And it is currently back in for service repair again (February 12, 2015 5 days and counting) with the check engine light on. According to the mechanic that did a ride along with Joe **, it’s back in the shop because the engines is working overtime, and redline shifts at 6000 RPM, again making it unsafe to drive. The dealership since then knowingly put me back into a car that had numerous Turbocharger and engine problems and therefore doesn’t consider my life and safety to be a concern for them with this many engine attempts to fix a bad Engine/Turbocharger issue. If I get into an accident because of the lack of power/engine/turbocharger, and get T-boned by on-coming traffic and end up in the hospital, only then they would consider purchasing back the car? Or by then I could be dead, so then I guess they would win because they wouldnt have to buy back the car and just have a lawsuit on their hands for wrongful death.SECTION (B -2) within the first 18,000 miles or 18 months these problems are still happening and the same problem like engine/turbocharger issues where I cannot accelerate to move out of oncoming traffic can cause death or serious bodily injury, and has been subject to repair two or more times by the manufacturer! Are they waiting for me to get in a horrible accident and then I would qualify for the LIFE THREATENING incident?SECTION (B-3) The vehicle is out of service because of the number of repairs and problems this 2013 Range Rover Evoque is having and although the manufacturer has made a number of attempts, the car is still very problematic. This vehicle has a cumulative total of more than 30 days since the delivery of the vehicle; it is actually now going on 44 days and counting. Despite repeated attempts at repair by Land Rover Service, the 2013 Range Rover Evoque still remains defective and therefore there has been a failure and refusal to conform the product to its express warranty under the law.In closing, and just a personal question to whoever is reading this…in looking over the services records, would you let your 16 year old son or daughter drive this vehicle? Would you be comfortable buying this car from me knowing the service/repair history I have attached. Can you honestly say you would feel comfortable driving this car yourself?

We purchased a Range Rover Sport in March 2015 and we have had issues since we bought it. License plate fell off while driving 3 times even after we took it back on day 2 of owning it and they said it wouldnt come off again. That was fun to find. Week 3 of ownership the check engine light came on. Took it in to have it serviced and was told it was just an oxygen sensor and they had fixed it. Week 4 of ownership, check engine light back on, back in for service for 3 days and they said they fixed it but may need to order an oxygen sensor if it comes back on. Week 8 of ownership I was sitting at a stop light. When the light turned green the car would not go and showed a display of put in drive (or something similar), the car was in drive. I had to shut the car off and it still wouldnt engage in drive. I put the car in low gear and got it off the road. After a little while I started the car and it went back in gear. Called the dealer and they said it would have to go completely out for them to be able to do anything and that it must have been a glitch. This happened 3 more times. Week 12 of ownership display wont respond to touch until car is off and restarted. After 6 months of owning the car the coolant low alert shows up and the check engine light is back on. Back in for service. They change the oxygen sensor and tell me that my water pump needs to be changed and that my car needed an update that would fix the display issue and the car not going into drive. Went to dealership because my car is in for service again. Thought we would trade it in to get rid of the thing. They say they cant certify it is a pre owned special because of all the issues and it will take them forever to get the issues fixed. Im losing money. An $80K car should last longer than 6 months. Why should I lose money when the car they sold me is a POC? Land Rover should pay off my car and give me back my down payment in full. I was warned that Land Rover wasnt the quality that I was looking for but I liked the car and decided to give it a chance. I learned my lesson the hard way.

I just purchased my 3rd Range Rover and after 3 weeks (1.5 of which it was in the shop), I am getting rid of it. I have been driving for many years and am a competent, confident driver. Or at least I used to be confident. This car stalls WHILE DRIVING, stalls while stopped at lights, the doors open while driving! This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a car, Ive had nightmares and Im scared of my family using it to drive anywhere. Oh yeah, and when it stalls, it stalls in DRIVE and then the cheap knob/gear shifter sticks and there is NOTHING you can do to put it in park to restart the car. So there you are, in the middle of the road/highway/busy intersection with your high end car looking like an idiot and fearing for your life. Ive been a RR gal for 20 years. Theyve lost me now and Im going to warn anyone and everyone. I cant believe there arent any class action lawsuits over this.

I special ordered a brand new 2019 Land Range Rover diesel HSE in 2018 and received it at the end of October 2018 with all the bells and whistles top of line (but not the executive addition). Paying good 120K plus for it, but The car inside and out is absolutely beautiful!! The ride is wonderful! and the top of line seats are fabulous! As soon as I got the car I had a xpel protection wrap put over the outside paint of vehicle as well as a 3 layer ceramic clear coat protection placed over the outside of car And also had a clear protection spray done on entire inside of vehicle. I Planned to keep this expensive luxury vehicle for at least 7 years and wanted to keep it protected and looking fabulous as long as I had it. As soon as I got the vehicle I parked it in garage and it wasn’t driven for week until my appointment to get the above protection coating put on it. This process took about 2 weeks to get done. Now it’s been approximately 3 weeks since I got new vehicle and haven’t driven it except home and to its appointment for protection coating. The lady and guy that did the protection coating on vehicle said low battery warning kept coming up on dash. They did not leave anything on, the doors were only open while lightly tinting windows but wasn’t left open. I went to get car they drove out to front, turned it off, came got me to show final job done. I went to start vehicle and it dragged like it didn’t want to start. The radio dash stayed black and would not show anything. I turned off engine . Restarted it and it would not start. I did that several times and then it started. I drove it straight to Range Rover dealership. They put new battery in it but they said the original one showed it was good but since I just received the vehicle brand new they would just put a brand new one in it. Few weeks later I was back again cause my dash would say low battery for no reason and NOTHING was left on. Went back again, they tested battery, showed good, they gave it a good charge and sent me on my way. Into December now, next my passenger front seat had problems moving forward and backwards, easy fix for them, again low battery light coming on here and there again, into new year of 2019 now, had about approximately a month or almost 2 months no issues I believe February to beginning of March started having warning issues come across my dash every month until end of July 2019 and waiting for the next time for this computer to pop something up again. You never know when. Was in shop with vehicle about 2 times a month starting off then went to almost weekly and then got to 2 time a week then got to out very days where I just picked car up and 2 day later it’s posting another warning issue. And between all this time.. I picked my vehicle up from service shop and suppose to hopefully b fix by resetting computer and it decides to break down on me 3 hours away out of town. Just decided to not crack, not do anything and had to have it towed 3 hours back to Range Rover service dept. The computer dash will throw up warning issues across dash at different times saying: low battery, Blind spot monitor fault detected, Drive with caution restricted performance, Smart key no longer within vehicle (and it saying this while I already been driving and I have my key on side of me by center console), Reverse traffic detection not available, Autonomous Emergency Braking not available ,Service required (and car is not due for any service the service dep said) because it’s brand new less than 7500 miles at that time and only 6 months old at that time, Camera Fault detected. That is a list of warnings that has been coming across my dash at different times. you never know when or where this vehicle is going to decide to post these warnings or take break down action. and if this vehicles brain going to decide if when and where it’s going to just shut down and not respond at all which it has already done it to me and had to be towed when I was 3 hours away from home.Every time this vehicle post a warning issue across my dash, thank goodness I take a picture of it with my phone as proof because when I call to tell the service dept and when I get there and they turn car off then put it on a computer scan to see what codes come up to tell what warnings the car posted across dash, well it would show nothing as if the car never ever posted any problem warning across the dash. If it wasn’t for me taking pictures of the posted warnings across dash which gave date, time, mileage... none of the service dept or anyone of Range Rover would not have really thought it was true or would have thought I was misreading something. Since they had no idea what the problem was cause the vehicle brain will not let them know exactly or you can say (car Ghosting Them). They could fix nothing but reset computer and hope it was just a minor glitch. Then it would happen again, sometimes the same warning, sometimes a different warning and then sometimes 2 warnings come up that could have been the same from before or new. But Range Rover service dept to this date today (August 16 2019) still doesn’t know what the problem is. When it broke down on me and had to be towed, Range Rover service dept and a district service person could not figure out why it broke down! They changed 1 of the main brains what I call the brains out of many of them in that vehicle by what I was told. This was around June 19 2019 Had to have all my keys reprogrammed to this new brain. June 25 2019 almost 5 days later and this car is back to posting warning problem across the dash, drop it off again pick it up next day the 26Th and almost 3 days later June 29 2019 it’s posting warning notices again and this is still going on all the way to End of July 2019 still. I love this car as of beauty but it has a mental computer electronic problem where you don’t know when or where it’s going to say or act on it’s warning problems. That’s very stressful, not knowing if or when your car will shut down or lock you down in restricted driving mode as it’s has done me already several times. You can’t trust it. As soon as the vehicle stays acting good for several days and your fear starts to drop it all of a sudden throws a warning issue problem at you and then you stress again not knowing what’s going to happen and I should not be having to go through this with a brand new car now 9 months old with 10,000 miles and approximately 7-8 month of its life brand new. I have been stressing with this vehicle and now dealing with Range Rover to take it back as a buy back because this is not my fault. I didn’t sign up to buy into a lemon mental car that has computer problems that’s a special order brand new 2019 vehicle that cost over 120,000 plus. This is not fair to me. If this car did not have these issues constantly, if it didn’t stress you out with worrying if it’s trustworthy to drive and going to be reliable and dependable, if it was working correctly from day one, like it should have been... I would be wanting to keep it with no questions asked. But this is not the case. My own family doesn’t want to ride in my vehicle to go a long distant because they dint trust it! It’s like this car has cancer!

The different types of Land Rovers have become more nice and sleek as the years have progressed. The interior is beautiful with all leather and the frame of the body makes it perfect for outdoor conditions and makes you proud to own one. Overall, Id rate the appearance as excellent and unique. Way different than any other model of SUV. There is also so much space in these vehicles and it is wonderful. You never have to worry about hitting your head or being in the personal space of the person next to you. Plus, there are several ways you are able to customize these vehicles. I have had my 2015 Evoque for 60 days now and we just picked it up from our Land Rover dealer service for a gearbox fault (I will get more into that shortly). On the way home on the highway, the car lost power in the fast lane, basically shut down and give us the same gearbox malfunction code as before. My wife and 6 year old child were in the car with me when this happen. Cars behind me had to slam on their brakes because my Evoque was slowing at a fast rate and I had no power to get out of the way. Luckily there was an opening in traffic for me to pull into the side of the road. The same thing happen last week when my wife was driving my son to the doctor and A SEMI TRUCK NARROWLY AVOIDED RUNNING INTO MY WIFE AND CHILD BECAUSE OF THE SAME ISSUE! My wife doesnt want this car, I dont want this car, I feel like my family is not safe in it anymore and I honestly dont know what path to take.I love(d) the Land Rover brand and weve owned an LR3, LR4, and a Range Rover Sport. We were excited to experience this vehicle and it has led to nothing but heartache. I believe Land Rover owes me a new, safe vehicle. Especially after being a loyal customer for the last 7 years.

Months ago we purchased a new Evoque and drove out to Death Valley for the Thanksgiving vacation. Running on the dirt road was very enjoyable till we had a flat tire. Well, flat tire should not be a problem at all since this is a new car and there is spare tire. The real problem happened when we noticed that the wheel has the special lock key bolt, and the car does NOT equipped with the tool to take off that special bolt! And there is no cell phone signal and we could not make a help call! The following time in that day was quite long. We were not able to change the spare tire, had to stay in the desert, waited from morning to afternoon till a car passed by. The gentlemen helped to carry me miles away where we could eventually make the call to road service. The truck finally came in after it was getting complete dark. We were carried to Las Vegas which has the Land Rover dealer. The next day was Thanksgiving so no one work. We had to wait one extra day before the flat tire can be fixed. We finally came back home safely. But the small mistake and the missed tool has given so much trouble and made the vacation such an unpleasant experience. And a complaint sent to the dealer, received no response at all till today...

I had purchased Land Rover Freelander 2 2.2D in Jan, 2013 from Mumbai and registered vehicle at Nagpur (Maharashtra State) India. As on date: I have clocked only 20,500 km after passage of three years (the vehicle is almost idle most of the time), against an average clocking of say 100,000km for a premium vehicle like Freelander, it has run only 20% of its desired (?) run, and still giving message of Reduced Engine Performance! Is that all that a premium segment vehicle can endure or perform??? I am astonished at the timing for giving such message. Trouble started the very next month when the standard warranty expires! Am surprised, rather shocked to understand this fact. It is very hard to even digest, since the vehicle is being kept, maintained in such good shape, and one fine morning, am seeing that it starts beeping. It was conveyed to me that the vehicle has developed restriction in the air pathway of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve due to carbon deposits caused as a by-product of combustion of fuel. My very contention is how it could happen when the vehicle is idle for most of the time, and, it was serviced, earlier at say 13,000km and it developed this problem at 20,000km (a service does not guarantee such problem within 7000km run over a period of one year, or was it not checked at that time?). It is not understandable, if the vehicle has seldom run, it could develop any problem within three years of its purchase! And after I take it to the Dealer, am handed INR 160,000 (approx USD 2500) estimate! For what??? Hopeless Service, irresponsive I would say, am yet to hear back till date.

They had amazing variety of luxury cars that met different needs of successful people at great prices. They have cars for everyone. Their cars come with so many features you would expect to receive. I upgraded my car to fit my life and there were so many options. I chose the one that I felt was the most reasonable for my money and I am satisfied. In my Range Rover Sport, the passenger capacity is perfect. I do not have children, so I do not need as much space but they do have other models to accommodate that though.

I purchased a 2016 Range Rover and returned the Range Rover Sport about 10 times to have the navigation system repaired due the wrong directions that the system produced. I am a realtor and need use of the nav all day and all week. I have to use my iPhone for directions and when customers are call me all day, I cant see my nav on my phone. The salesman told me that the navigation and equipment was the best you can get and after paying $88,000 for the Range Rover Sport I found that friends of mine who purchased $25,000 cars had navigation systems that put mine to shame! The dealer and the CORPORATE office didnt care. A matter of fact, the unit was so bad that they change the system completely in the 2017 due to the many problems but they wouldnt admit it or make me happy by putting a 2017 unit in its place. Also the cost to maintain the automobile is extremely expensive. Dont think about buying a Range Rover before you read the 1000s of complaints.

Omg omg omg... Ill be honest with everyone, they are nice looking cars but whatever you do... DONT and I mean dont waste your money on a Range Rover. I bought one and took care of it like it was one of my child. These cars are horrible, the maintenance on them is non-stop. I mean these cars are garbage and the service fees are wow, I mean you can spend almost the cost of the car in two years of maintenance. My truck was worth almost 20,000 dollars and in the end I took it to the dealer and handed them the keys after it broke down and I swear to you I told them this is my car abs, this is the keys to it and this is the title and gave it to them and walked out.As much as it hurted letting it go cause of the money I spend but in the end it was a relief, Range Rover is a piece of **. Excuse my language but please think twice before buying a Range Rover, the car will put you in big debt. Oh Lord I can tell you so much about my truck it will take me days explaining it, and I swear to you its not just me. I have a family member and also a friend that are crying worse than me. Please please whatever you do... DONT BUY A RANGE ROVER.

I purchased my 2017 Discovery new with only 11 miles, and loved the car except that the backup camera works only periodically, the audio works only when when it wants to. I now have 34,000 miles and have extreme shaking upon applying brakes. I’m told I need new back wheel brakes at the tune of $1,000 and if shaking continues, I’ll need new front brakes as well for that same amount. I’m told this is not a manufacturers defect so not covered under warranty :(. I’ll be selling this lemon and never purchase a Rover again. I’ll also not recommend that any friends or acquaintances purchase a rover. This is my first and last rover.

We bought our 2008 LR2 in early 2007. We have had nothing but headaches with this vehicle since day one. The first day driving, the sunroof seal peeled off and the screen became detached. Then the problems got worse to the point we thought the electrical system was defective. This vehicle has been in the auto dealership repair shop more than my wife and I have seen our doctors. It was so bad that Land Rover had to send an engineer out to look at the vehicle to get an idea what was causing all the problems and it seemed fixed. Lo and behold, the warranty expires and guess what? We start having more problems and costly ones at that. We literally lost our savings account for repairs on our LR2. The most recent repair over $1,200.00 for a cooling fan. It gets better.Prior to this repair our windscreen was damaged by something that struck the windscreen. Safe lite comes out and the tech. is not concerned about the crack as much as he is about the delaminated windscreen. He asked if we had been in accident and if we were the original owners. The vehicle was never in an accident and we are the original owners. The vehicles has only ever been serviced at LR dealership in Ventura, CA. and nowhere else. Apparently, the windscreen was replaced because it was damaged but it was incorrectly replaced and it allowed moisture to enter the instrument panel and thus our electronic headaches I can only presume. Weve had the fuel pump go out, oil pump go out, among a host of numerous other headaches that added up to the several thousands of dollars we lost on repairing this piece of junk.Land Rover asked for the receipt of our most recent repair and the response was laughable. I posted my response on Google Plus. Basically we were told that Land Rover offered a goodwill gesture for reimbursing our windscreen which they fraudulently sold us in a bad and very unsafe condition. I had to laugh, we paid several thousands of dollars in repairs and Land Rover is not in a financial position to assist for one repair. LOL. That is pathetic!

I bought my 1st Range Rover Autobiography in 2014. Good car all round apart from slow electrics and infotainment system while started on transmission at 40 000 miles. Range Rover would not fix it so I bought a new 2017 Autobiography. New car has much smaller fuel tank which I dont like. Park distance warning goes off when it shouldnt. Sometimes electric rear seats dont fold down or up. When in automatic the gearbox holds on to lower gears too long and the engine is revving too much. Infotainment screen goes blank sometimes. Bentayga is much better car but I dont like the looks of them.

Range Rover Evoque - Car lost power on the highway going uphill. The dealership said I had a blown turbo charger and the car had 57k miles on it so it was not under warranty. $4k later & two weeks in the shop I have the car back and am nervous to drive it. Ive also had both front headlights blow out during a nasty snow storm & dealership had no idea why. Good thing that happened under warranty or else I would have had to pay. The car is dangerous and there should be a suit against Land Rover.

I took it back to Encino Land Rover again on January 10, 2012, the dealership called and say its the transmission needs replace at a cost of $7,500. there was an extended warranty on this 2006 that ended on the 29th of December 2011. Need to get the repairs done on this car and need to figure out what sort of compensation can be extended.

2012 Range Rover Evoque - I purchased this car in September 2017. Shortly after, I noticed the interior of my car smelling like gas. When I brought the car into my local Land Rover dealership for service I told them about the constant odor. Unfortunately they said they did not smell it. About a month later I brought it in for service and told them the problem still existed, once it went unresolved. So now I have it back in for the same problem, and I hope that someone resolves this. This strong gas smell is literally making me feel sick, anyone who gets in my car notices and they dont feel safe. My problem is that my warranty ends in days and I do not want this to now be a huge problem for me. Has anyone ever had a similar experience? Help.

It looks horrible now. I feel like I have been marked for life :(. I want awareness for owners, this could be really dangerous. Does anyone know how can I put a complaint?

Hi. I purchased the Land Rover Discovery Sports at California and within 1000-1200 miles of driving I had a check engine light. I was driving the car on highway with my family and all of a sudden car lost power of the car and after those few seconds the check engine light came ON. I took the car to dealership. They said they checked the car and was unable to find the proper error with the computer, and they did a hard battery reset - I think it means disconnect the main power and restart it. Trust me I was really amazed to see that one of the costliest and computerized car in the world works on battery reset and not on technicalities.Later, I faced the same problem couple of times more and had requested Land Rover to replace my car but they Denied and said these exact line:- From consumer affairs division regarding your case. At this time, they are declining to repurchase/replace your vehicle as there have not been an unreasonable number of repair attempts for any one particular issue. Also, there are no documented repair orders detailing hesitation issues. I dont understand. What do you mean by unreasonable repair attempts. Personally I love Land Rover, my brother and family also owns other other model of cars and I am still fighting my case and I want my car to replaced.

I got my first new Land Rover, a Freelander 2 TD4 manual, in 2011. I’ve read the stories, I know about the unreliability. Consequently, I was a bit surprised that it took 18 months and 50,000 miles before an engine warning light came on. Land Rover were out within half an hour, diagnosed it as a faulty sensor and got it fixed right away. At just over 2 year and about 75,000 miles, it came up with a message that there was a rear diff ECU fault which was quickly fixed under warranty. At 90,000 miles I passed it to a colleague who has taken it over 165,000 miles and counting and he’s needed a new rear diff and it’s first clutch. He’s still running it and has no plans to replace it. I don’t think that’s at all bad; perhaps all those who write one star reviews might see it differently?I then moved on to a 12,000 mile and one year old version of the same thing. Over the next year and 35,000 miles, it went about its business with just one odd fault - every week or so, the car would stutter for half a moment under power; nothing dangerous, or even annoying, just a characteristic really. I complained about it anyway and when Land Rover admitted that they had no fix, they made a generous offer to subsidise a swap for another FL2, but a top of the range SD4 automatic this time. That car was a complete gem and loved it to bits, without a single fault over the following 12 months/35,000 miles. However, I had a complete rush of blood to the head and stupidly traded in for a brand new Discover 4. Surely, this money pit had to be my undoing? Nope. The nicest car I’d has to date, with the only “fault” being squeaky rear brakes that were easily fixed. Unfortunately, Land Rover then introduced the nasty new Discovery 5 and I panicked. I had wanted to keep the Discovery 4 for a while, but decided to buy one of the last new D4’s before it was too late. Unfortunately, it was already too late. But, I did manage to trade my 1 year (and, you’ve guessed it) 35,000 mile old D4 in for a beautiful green 12,000 mile old D4 HSE Luxury...Which was very nice. However, after adding another 20-25,000 miles or so, it broke down. This time it was off the road for a month while they had to diagnose and replace a, very dead, high pressure fuel pump. It’s a big, body off, job to replace. Very expensive and very time consuming, no doubt, but why should I care? It was all done under warranty and they kept me in nice loaners too. When I spoke to Land Rover about the amount of time it took, they completely blew me away! They asked me what my dream Land Rover was and they then subsidised an extraordinarily large amount of money to make a top of the range Range Rover vaguely affordable and weapons grade “man maths” bridged the remaining gap!8 Months and 24,000 miles later, I’m chuffed to bits with my Range Rover SDV8 and wouldn’t part with it for any other car in the world. All being well, I’d like to hang on the this until well past 250,000 miles. In conclusion, the cars have been brilliant, the build quality has been superb and the reliability has been well up to the mark. Where things have gone wrong, Land Rover have been first rate and have gone above and beyond in restoring my faith in them. I have no wish to go elsewhere.

I am a student in the United States. I wanted to purchase a car from the local retailer in Richmond, Virginia. They refused to sell me a car just because I am a student but I felt it was a race discrimination. They kept asking me from where I am getting my money. I wanted to purchase a car for my own use while I am here in the United States for the duration I am studying. They started asking me personal question like from where will you get your money. For the past three months I have not gotten an answer from them. I went to visit the dealership again but they asked me to provide a 6 months bank statement. I am not sure why would they want one since I am not financing the car (I cant get a finance since I am an international student). They have been giving me a really hard time. There is no law within the United States that would prohibit me from purchasing a car. I currently own a jeep and would really like to add a Range Rover in the family. I hope I can hear from you soon and help me out with this situation.

I ordered a new 2017 Range Rover Sport. I waited over four months to have what I thought was the car of my dreams to be built. The day after I took delivery, I was back at the dealership because the navigation didn’t work. My car has been into the service department 7 times. Initially, the car would alarm when getting into it, saying the car was not put in Park. I took pictures to show the car was in park each time, but would sound off when I would get back into the vehicle. This was ultimately resolved with what they said was a software update. I have an iPhone 7 that works all the time, including with my 2008 BMW. The phone does not consistently connect to the Bluetooth. A call will go out or come in, but neither person can hear the person on the other end of the line. The navigation does not connect. My last time in, I was told it might be my phone. There was nothing they could do. Software was up to date. This was after the entire Infosystem has been replace for the phone not working, the media not working, the navigation not working, and the entire screen going black for no reason at all. After contacting Apple, they confirmed my phone is not the issue. After countless trips to the service department without resolution, I requested Land Rover buy back the car. Even though they have at least 6 service records, they replied they have looked into it, and my car does not qualify, without a real explanation. I have now submitted my complaint to the BBB. I cannot imagine a luxury 2017 vehicle is not compatible with a phone that’s a year or so old. It works perfectly fine in every other circumstance, including the Bluetooth in other vehicles.

I have been a lease holder with the Larchmont, New Rochelle Land Rover Deal
I have been a lease holder with the Larchmont, New Rochelle Land Rover Dealership since 2003. The first lease I had was a 2003 Freelander which I returned in 2006. In March 2006, I leased a used 2005 LR3. Although this vehicle is considered to be of great prestige, I have had nothing but problems with this particular model. The first fault that I noticed with this vehicle occurred after the first four months. The vehicle stalled on me while driving it at 70 miles an hour. If I would not have known to place the gear shift lever in neutral and then turn the engine back on, I cannot imagine what could have happened to me and my family. The car stalled a second time soon after and I decided to bring it in for service at Larchmont, New Rochelle and I was informed that it was a problem with the suspension module. Although the problem was resolved, these incidents left me doubtful while driving the LR3. Once again, the vehicle stalled on the highway and again I was left to move the gear shift lever to neutral to turn the engine on. I called Land Rover of Larchmont and I was asked to bring the vehicle in and I was told that the module was defected and had to be replaced again. The vehicle is at the beginning of its life with only 18900 miles. I have experienced other problems such as, an electrical problem which prevented me from opening the vehicle using the key remotes, apparently due to electrical wiring becoming wet from water entering the vehicle. The week after again another problem, the air conditioner was not working. The driver side was blowing out cool air and the passenger side was blowing out hot air. As you can read from the numerous incidents I have listed above, I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. I am asking for a resolution to my ongoing problems with this particular vehicle such as a replacement truck with minimal problems and or an early termination of the lease. I have been a good customer to Land Rover, always keeping my lease agreement and I have never missing a payment in return I expect Land Rover to accommodate me with a quality product for the price I am paying.

It is quite large but not too large that it is difficult to park. It is also very boxy but not in an ugly way. Overall I think the car looks great. The SUV can fit 8 people and still has room for bags, suitcases, grocery and JUST more leg room in general which makes it more comfortable for the passenger.

In August of 2017 I special ordered a Range Rover Sport diesel. In 20,000 miles I have had in for service (only required once at 16K) on 5 different occasions. While the Dealership is fine, the car isnt. Its what I would call a major disappointment. One of the selling points for the car was the fact that it needed servicing only every 16,000 miles. What they didnt tell you was the car needed to be brought in approximately every 4,000 miles to have diesel fluid installed. Each trip to the Dealer takes about 2 hours to install the fluid (approximately 15 liters). This is the 5th diesel car that I have owned and the FIRST that would not make it from one service to the next without. In addition there have been 3 major software updates on the car since I have owned it. The bottom line is the car is overpriced and a pain to own. It is my first and my last. It is not a very reliable vehicle and certainly a headache to own.
