2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4 X 4 - I just have to blow off steam. My husbands truck engine froze while working. Had the truck brought into Ray Brandt Dealership where it was purchased new from. 1st off on an expensive truck it is hard for me to believe that there is NO loaner that could be offered while checking my husbands truck out. After 3 weeks of me calling every other day we find out it is not covered under the Drive train warranty!!! Really? Abdul stated that Chrysler denied the claim, said the maintenance invoices looked fake? OMG and a rod was broken inside which suggests it was starved for oil? SO now I have a truck payment and 2 bills (1 for a rental) and 2 for a new engine that would not be covered. Why do we keep receipts for maintenance? They dont accept them anyway. I am very unhappy with Chrysler and his truck along with my 300 will be traded in and never buy another Chrysler product.... Shame on you, Chrysler.........

Dodge Ram pickup. I want to start by saying this is all my personal opinion, take it or leave it, I just wanted to share my experience for anybody that is considering purchasing a diamer chrysler product. I have purchased over 179K personally of Dodge, Chrysler Jeep products, (this is not including the interest paid for financing) and I am truly upset over the lack of customer service for loyal customers as evidenced by the below correspondence from the corporation customer service. I also require fleet vehicles in my business, and have not included the dollars spent for dodge products (Trucks and Vans) in the totals.I would like to warn anyone considering a Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep product to do your homework and remember the old adage of you get what you pay for and the mantra that I am sure that the executives of the corporation have posted on their desks: PT Barnum: there is a sucker born every minute! My fleet vehicles over the last 25 years have included all makes and models, the dodge trucks have the worst record for duration of any of the other brands we have purchased. Generally we have to retire the Chrysler products at less than 100K miles, due to major failures or repeated minor failures. I made the decision to retire a RAM 1500 at only 30K due to repeated failures, a/c, sensors, rear end, etc. although these items were all covered under warranty, in the service industry, lost time is lost money, not to mention the transportation to the dealership, and all of the other associated direct cost. We traded it in on a Ford, it now has over 250K on it and is still running strong. With only the standard wear items being replaced, tires, belts, brakes, etc. I purchased the dodge vehicles personally due to the lower initial cost and the body styles and physical appearance. SUCKER!! I write this to warn anyone that is considering a product from this company that you can either pay now, or pay later.

Overall the truck is a good truck, has lots of features. I would recommend a test drive and purchase. Just like all vehicles now days, are overpriced, by being over inflation. The big screen on the dash is the biggest in the industry. Truck seems to be solidly built. Lots of electronics for a pleasant drive. The power of the diesel is a great asset with the four wheel drive.

Completely undependable. Too many problems to list here. In the shop with great frequency. Significant safety issues. Service Department doesnt know how to fix it. Chrysler ignoring warranty and refuses to buy the vehicle back. This is the first Chrysler (Ram) product I have ever purchased and it will be the LAST!! This truck was in the shop with just over 1000 miles on it having major components replaced and almost two years later it continues to be undependable, unsafe, glitchy, and in the Service Department repeatedly. Chrysler refuses to stand behind their product, they have ignored the warranty, they have treated me like I am fabricating issues to the point that I have started taking pictures/video of incidents that occur to prove these issues are occurring. They refuse to buy the truck back, they dont care that some of the problems are safety concerns, they just want their money and dont give a damn about the customer (who is apparently NEVER right!!). Worst vehicle experience of my life!

I had a check engine light come on on a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 with 17,000 actual miles. Took it to our dodge dealer (Christophers Dodge) and upon running the computer was told that there was probable a clogged exhaust line and/or valves not working. Upon taking the truck in a week later was informed by Christophers Dodge that we had a completely plugged EGR Cooler and it would cost around $3200.00 to fix. This has been a problematic part with Chrysler and if replaced during the 5 year 100,000 miles warranty it would be paid for. Well since our vehicle falls out of the 5 year warranty period they would only reduce the cost of the labor. Even though the vehicle only has 17,000 miles and looks like it came off the showroom. We were informed we were not loyal customers since we had not done our oil changes there. So we ended up paying 2600.00 for the repair and in my opinion will never purchase another Chrysler product since they do not back their vehicles.

My 2009 Ram has lit like a Christmas tree so many times I lost count. Replaced many modules over the years and Im 100% confident that not one was defective. Drive in with the warning lights on and everything working after a dealership mechanic evaluation, then something mysteriously (without explanation) stopped working (like the 4wd for instance) and was told a module needed replaced. These trucks are electrically unsound and have faulty instrument panels that Dodge wont repair. Terrible engineering and dealer mechanic work. Plus a company and subsequent dealerships that cant and wont address the problem except waste your time with a bad warranty. I absolutely stand by these comments and have all my records/correspondence with the Dodge and the dealership.

The truck was purchased used from the second owner, so it has some issues. Overall though, it is a good truck. It has not had any major mechanical problems, only minor ones. The truck always runs, is very reliable and dependable. Also, the price was right for what we could afford at the time. It was in good shape for the year. The dash was in one piece, which is unusual for a used truck. Normally, the dashes are cracked and broken from the sun and heat. The title was clear. We ended up making a new friend as well. I like that the truck is blue plus it is a basic model. It has manual locks and windows. It is just a good work truck. However, the heater comes on when you press the brake, so it has to be disabled during the summer. Also, before the brakes get warmed up, be careful and slowly press them or you may end up hitting your head on the steering wheel. Once they warm up, they are like normal brakes though. The windshield needs to be replaced because it is cracked as well.

Have had an issue with the gas mileage on my 2013 Ram Longhorn since I got it. Can only get 15 to 16 MPH on the highway with ECO engaged. I have owned a 2007, 2009 (the best one with 19 to 22 MPH) and a 2011. None of the previous trucks ever had MPH that bad. Four trips to dealer and all I get is the ECO is working fine. Have 36,000+ on it now and still no improvement. Numerous electrical problems too. Pretty sure, I will not buy another Ram.

My engine started stalling 2 to 3 times in the morning about six months ago. I took it to 3 different Dodge dealerships and they have not been able to identify the problem. I am concerned about safety for me and other drivers on the road. I am a disabled veteran and my wheelchair is transported in the bed of the truck. Has anyone else had this stalling problem and was it fixed?

2014 Ram 1500. 1000 miles after purchase. Horrible gear hunting between 2/3 - 3/4. Trans bangs at highway speed when you hit gas to pass. Trans sometimes revs with no power. Clunk first time you hit gas after start every time. Vibration in drive shaft felt in gas pedal at 2000rpms every time. Dealer acknowledged the issue with trans the first 2 times. I called Chrysler several times and they finally opened a star case and I went to a different dealer. Chrysler contacted dealer before I got there. Dealer would not let me ride along with tech. Surprise surprise.. Dealer and Chrysler came back and said the truck performs as designed. What a coincidence!!! I even showed them video of the issues. Test drive other Rams of the same year and model. There were nine of these issues as it was when I first bought mine.I guess Chrysler should advertise our vehicles perform horribly after 1000 miles by design. Lemon law process started. Never ever trust this company to honor warranties. They have the longest warranty on trucks because they dont honor it.

The Ram 2500 Alpine radio is great! Way better than the GMC boise system (no highs no lows must be Boise) you heard the saying. Also power and towing are great on the Ram. I have 60,000 miles now and I am wondering why I bought the lifetime warranty. The only thing that has happened is I bought a Dcx tuner from a company online and it locked up the ecm and had to buy a new one because they knew I tried to install it and that obviously would not be covered under warranty. When I get oil changes we laugh about it now. I also like the seats, dash, the way the Taylor hooks up makes sense not like the GM who does not think about the ergonomic when they build a truck. Theirs is more like a car a crapy car. Also the GM is so quiet that I almost got t-boned by a ambulance. The suspension is so loose it feels like you can flip over if you turned hard. Its just not a real truck. Now Im not saying I dont like frills. My Ram has heated and cooled seats, front and back sunroof, all the frills the GM has and they work better. The GM people are rude, slick like an old TV car salesman. The Ram dealerships are normal regular people. Ram 5 stars, GM 0. Mad GM took the bailout your money you pay out of your check every week not tax money, your money.

Dodge Ram 1500 Ecodiesel defective. R 51 recall from Chrysler. The charge air cooler freezes up on these trucks. Chryslers solution is to put a tarp over your grill when the weather temperature is at a sustained 30 or lower temperature. Thats not an acceptable solution to the problem. Chrysler has no solution to the problem, instead they give you a tarp to put on the grill. Good luck trying to put that on in 30 weather. Do not accept the so-called solution to this problem. Contact a lemon law attorney as they do these cases on a contingency basis. It shouldnt cost you nothing to hire an attorney. I expect the class action suit against the Chrysler idiots.

I have a 2015 Ram 2500 Longhorn addition with the 6.7 Cummins diesel. My issue is with the 5 mph max de-rate feature. It has happened twice now. The first time it went off, it took the dealer 4 days to get a new injector for the def system. Now for the second time, my truck is 53 miles from a 5 mph limp mode and it is holiday weekend. I am stuck not able to use my $60000.00 truck because of this EPA GOVT BS! There needs to be another way. My truck runs fine, but I am forced to see my dealer for DEF service. WTF? There needs to be a fix. I will delete this DEF SYSTEM altogether or sell the truck. Love the truck and engine but not a fan of being told to report to dealer or drive 5 mph. That is socialism!

I feel it is necessary to write you about the problems I have faced with my truck and your company. On September 12, 2014 purchased 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 from Dallas Dodge Chrysler Jeep (11550 LBJ FREEWAY, DALLAS, TEXAS 75238) VIN # **. On the purchase date, radio and navigation do not work correctly. I was told by the salesman to take it by my local Dodge dealer (McMullan Motors) to have it checked as it is still under warranty. The first time I take it in, after waiting for a couple of hours, I was informed the radio technician was not there and I would have to bring it back in. I work about 300 miles from my home so I informed them I would have to set up another time to drop it off. I could not leave it and do not own another vehicle. I was also not offered a courtesy vehicle or rental car. In the meantime, I noticed several other things not working correctly so I made a list to get everything checked upon my return. On December 15, 2014 I bring my truck in to be serviced for the following problems: navigation/compass/radio not working, headlights fogging up, vibration felt while driving down the road. Of these 3 problems, only one was fixed even though I was assured by the service department my truck was fixed and I was good to go. On December 23, 2014 I was shopping and when I returned after a rain, my truck had approximately 3 of water inside the cab. I immediately called the McMullan Motors and they explained to me someone else had called with the same problem. I was told if I took it somewhere to have it fixed, other than a Dodge dealership, that would void the warranty. I then made another appointment to drop my truck off, leave it and pick up later. On January 5, 2015 I took truck in for leaking back glass. I am called and good to go. On February 12, 2015 check engine light comes on. I make another appointment. On February 13, 2015 I take truck in for check engine light, fuel sensor vibration. I explain to the service dept. I am still feeling the vibration and was assured they did not feel anything and I should bring it back in for another look. On May 4, 2015 take truck back in for vibration/rotate and balance tires. This time, they rotate and balance my tires. I pick truck back up and yet again I am told that I am good to go. I call them back later that day and tell them I still feel it. I was informed I should bring it back in for another look. During the month of July, my back glass leaks again after a rain. I take it to another dealership to have it repaired. I also explained the vibration to them. I cannot leave it that day and asked to bring it back the next week. This time I leave the truck for 5 days!!!On July 22, 2015 take truck back in for leaking back glass, vibration felt while driving. I go back to pick truck up and I was told that my vehicle warranty was up and my extended Gold Plus warranty (I paid an extra $1500.00 dollars for this) had a 100.00 dollar deductible which I was responsible for. When I explained I had already paid for this once, I should not be responsible for paying for something that was already fixed once by Dodge, the service manager told me to call the dealership and ask them about it. I asked about the vibration and the manager informed me that Ram is notorious for putting bad tires on trucks. The tires are probably the cause of the vibration and I should contact Goodyear to discuss it with them since Dodge is not responsible for tires!!! So, I call McMullan Motors about the back glass issue. I was told by the service department and I quote, Sir we get ** parts all the time! Sometimes we get ** parts right out of the box!!! How sad is it that your own employee tells me this!!! Mr. Hegbloom this is my complaint: I drive to Dallas to purchase my dream truck! I get these responses from your own employees!!! Good to go. Ram has gotten so bad, Dodge separated themselves from the Ram name. Dont know why its vibrating - couldnt feel anything- bad tires, ** parts. Not once has anyone apologized and tried to actually fix my truck. It seems that passing the buck on has become quite the norm. I know this letter is lengthy and for that, I apologize. There are many truck companies I can choose from. I can buy any truck I so desire, some for less money. I have been a loyal Dodge customer for many years and feel that I am owed some loyalty in return. I am truly disturbed by the inept actions of your employees. I saved up my money and had the choice of any truck on the market. I hope that you can restore my faith in your company. As of today, here is a recap of problems I am still having with my truck: engine noise vibration around 40 mph or 1100 rpm, vibration in truck suspension while driving normal speed, transmission is slipping when accelerator is pressed, transmission shifts hard in and out of gears, tires are severely worn at less than 40,000 miles, overall performance of truck is poor, radio still does not work correctly, USB port does not work.

The issues with Ram trucks that people are having must be just from these people on here. Regardless of the Chrysler vehicle, whether it be Dodge Journey, Caliber, SRT Charger, Challenger, Magnum, Dakotas, Stratus, (on my second Hemi Ram), I know people that own/have owned all the above-mentioned vehicles, and besides regular maintenance, zero mechanical issues whatsoever. I myself have owned 2 Rams, and again, NO mechanical issues whatsoever. The only issues Ive had has actually been with cosmetic stuff added to the truck by the dealership after delivery from the factory. The side step bumpers and brackets rusted, and the powder coating was peeling off after only 2200 miles. One Rumble Bee sticker on the box had to be replaced as it was starting to bubble. I took the mud flaps off the dealer put on as they were literally flapping in the wind, rubbing the paint. Oh yes, the radio would have a mind of its own, would sometimes stick on maximum volume, wouldnt shut off, couldnt change stations, nothing. And sometimes wouldnt even turn on. Chrysler had to download new software into the radio. Works great now. Guess what, my Dads friends 2016 Honda Civic (yes Honda) had the exact same problem. The dealership had to download new software into the radio. Works great now. (Yes, a Honda Civic.) Anyone Ive known. Family members as well, anyone Ive known who have had Chrysler vehicles have never had any mechanical issues at all. Just regular maintenance.A buddy of mine, his Magnum went 215,000 miles zero problems. Heck, never even replaced the battery. My first Ram truck went 173,000 miles. Except regular maintenance, zero mechanical issues.Broken exhaust manifold bolts was the only what I considered major issue. (Even though the repair was only $378, taxes in, Canadian dollars to boot as Im in Canada) And the place I had the work done, they told me Chrysler AND GM trucks are prone to exhaust manifold bolts breaking. The service manager told me they do probably 1 a week from both GM and Chrysler. My nephew bought a new Ford Fusion. Sooner rather than later he traded it in, guess what, he was having electrical issues with it. And he thought, before it gets any worse, and runs out of warranty, trade it in. My girlfriends 2012 Mazda (yes Mazda), the torque converter quit on her 2x. Leaving her literally stranded, again, yes Mazda. Japanese. I worked with a guy who had a Miata, THE biggest pile of junk he said he had ever owned. Nothing but problems with it. Guess what people, even the Japanese can make crap vehicles.

A plastic cover blew off the passenger side mirror of my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. This occurred while I was driving. I went to the Clear Lake Dodge to get a replacement plastic cover prior to any electronic damage occurring due to environmental exposure. I purchased an extended Bumber/Bumber warranty program at the time of purchase. This is still valid. I was told this was cosmetic and would not be covered under warranty. The mirror, however, would have been covered. There is nothing wrong with the mirror.I was taken to the parts department and told that the $5-10 plastic cover could not be purchased separately. I was informed that the entire mirror assembly would need to be purchased and installed at a later date. I was told by the service manager that this was a Chrysler policy and there was nothing that could be done. I am a loyal Chrysler customer with my previous vehicle being a Pacifica. I will be in the market for future family vehicle purchases. This experience calls into question any future Chrysler product purchases.

I own a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500. I was having transmission problems as a result of a recall on solenoid. I had it replaced 4 times. The first three times I was still under 100k miles. I had transmission rebuilt $3700. Service engine light came on again. Brought it to dealer where they replaced solenoid again. Dealer said truck needs new transmission and cost would be $7900. I asked Dodge for assistance covering parts since it was a result of recall. 2015 truck had 100k warranty and 2016 only 60k which is obviously not long enough. Dodge would not offer any assistance at all. The truck engine is not built to last long.

Diesel engine blown out at 65K. Bought the DODGE RAM 1500 brand new in 2016. Thought the Diesel engine would give us great long-term service - after all we have Dodge trucks as old as 2003 on the road for our contracting company. We do NOT do heavy loads nor towing, they are Quad cabs basically light hauling & crew taxi. Regular service and only 1 previous issue with mass air sensor $800 of that at dealership. The other morning, truck started normal, drive 5 miles to fuel up. Tried to start after fueling, big noise and that was it. Engine blown. Now waiting 6 days to see what they are going to do. 35,000 miles left on factory warranty and they are leaving us with no truck and guessing...

I purchased a 2011 Dodge mega cab 4x4 longhorn edition dually last year ($54,000) because I owned a 2006 same truck and it was great to me. This 2011 has been a big headache. It has a horrible vibration and a loud clunking noise when you let off gas or give it gas. It is doing this since day one. I am back and forth to dealer, till I filed for lemon law. Florida only covers vehicle up to 10,000 GVW and the truck is rated for 10,500. Bunch of bull crap. I had to file a lawsuit and I am in the process now. The court date is not until Sept 2012, so I will have owned truck for over a year and a half. On top of it all the truck gets horrible gas mileage compared to my 2006 almost half. My 2006 would get around 19 on highway and the 2011 gets 10. What a joke Dodge is. I will never buy another one after these problems with customer service and Dodge. I have read on several forums that people are having this same problem and have been getting the same run around. If there is anyone who would like to file another class action suit get in touch with me.

2008 Dodge Ram 3500 with a severe front-end wobble. I purchased this vehicle used from a Chevy dealership with 46000 miles on it. At 50000 miles I had a violent wobble that started at the right side of the vehicle, spreading to the left, then moved to the back of vehicle. This wobble shook all in the cab of the truck. I returned the vehicle to the dealership where it was purchased in April 2011. There was no problem found with the front of the vehicle, so the dealership contacted a local Chrysler dealership that had no knowledge of known front end problems but suggested it could be caused by a worn tire. This dealer rotated the tires, balanced, and did a front-end alignment, which was covered by an extended warranty I had purchased; yet no failed components were found. This death wobble (as shown on the net) continued and at the present time it is at a Chrysler dealership. I have been contacted by the business stating they found no failed components, so the insurance will not cover any repairs; but the dealership feels it is the steering box linkage, which can be replaced at one thousand dollars (my cost) without a guarantee that it will fix the problem. Chrysler has known about the problem for years and has not come up with a solution to a poor design and will not assist in any repairs. The problem is covered in issue #74 of the TDR (Turbo Diesel Resource) where it talks about possible repairs and after-market business, such a Genos Garage, where they are marketing a BD steering box stabilizer which they state “will eliminate the wobble.” I checked with the NTSB for complaints, only to be advised there have been no deaths reported caused by this wobble. I want consumers to use caution when purchasing a used vehicle 2500 or 3500 Dodge Ram, but I also know that all vehicles does not have the problem or just not reported.

Since there are many complaints, heres a positive review: Bought a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn 4x4 Hemi truck new in December 2014 with every available option including air suspension. Everything has worked as it should since day 1, and now, almost 2 years later, I have 35,000 miles on it. The 8-speed tranny is smooth as silk and the hemi performs flawlessly. I tow a 3500-lb boat occasionally and have had no issues. I wasnt sure if Id like the Ram Box option, but there is so much storage for tools, trailer hitches, etc. that I love it. Sometimes when I pick up fast food to take home, I put it in the Ram Box where it stays warm and keeps the inside of the truck smelling new longer. My previous truck was a 2003 Dodge 2500 SLT 2WD, Cummins w/6-spd manual that I put 225,000 miles on, and other than regular maintenance, I changed the water pump twice, and the radiator once. Got 22 mpg city, 27 mpg hwy.

Dodge Ram has been my dream truck for years. I finally was in a financially sound enough situation I could afford one, brand new, off the lot. I researched for one in my price range with most of the features I wanted within my price range. I decided on a 2022 Ram 1500 quad cab. 7 miles on it when I went to the dealership. I was so excited when they handed me those keys after I signed the papers! I drove off the lot Saturday evening, took my wife to dinner, drove the truck to work on Sunday. I started the truck and the check engine light came on. The dealership was closed on Sunday so I took it back Monday. They told me it was a cylinder 4 misfire due to an injector being stuck in the open position so they replaced it. I got the truck back Tuesday. I drove to the grocery store and home.Wednesday, I got up and went to run an errand. I started the truck and the check engine light was on once again. I took it back to the dealership. Its now Tuesday and I havent seen my truck since I dropped it off. I reached out to Chrysler multiple times, reached out to the dealership who said they were waiting for Chrysler, Chrysler said they were sending a tech out which they have yet to do because they were waiting to hear from the dealership. It has just been a complete disaster at this point of back and forth and I am making payments on a truck Im not even able to drive. The customer service Ive received from both ends is less than acceptable and I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Chrysler nor will I be doing this again.

Dodge Ram 1500 2014 6cyl 4x4 purchased new. I had two problems with this truck. 1. Cruse control didnt work all the time. 2. Driver side electric window and door lock controller had to be replaced. These were the only problems I had. The transmission started acting up. Not shifting smoothly and lagging. This started after 80,000 accumulated miles. On the positive side this truck was a joy to drive. Easy to handle. Tracked straight and true in all weather conditions. Comfortable cabin that was quiet with an excellent stock stereo sound system. The electronics were easy to use, especially the blue tooth phone system. I drove this truck for a total of 5 years.

Purchased a used Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with Hemi 3 months ago...191,000 miles. Nice truck, had a mechanic look at it. The Spark Plug coil pack melted on Sunday. Replaced it along with a fuse. This morning (Thursday), same coil pack did the same thing. Anyone know of issues regarding this? Called Dodge, they told me no recalls. The Dodge Ram is supposed to be a superior truck, but Ive had it for 3 months and its been in the shop 4 times! I had a Honda Accord for 5 years that was in the shop only 4 times in 5 years. Help!

I took my truck in to remedy the MIL light. The dealer (Somerset Jeep/Chrysler) took the transmission all apart and then told me they cant get the parts to fix it. I called a dealer that told me the parts are readily available. Now the repair shop wont answer my calls. I explained to them I cant be without a truck as Im a building contractor, but to no avail. Off the record, a parts man who told me the parts are available said that because its a warranty work, there is no money in it for them. Well, there wont be any money in it for them when I buy my next new truck either. A Ford!

I have had problem with this vehicle ever since Ive owned it! It has 52,000 original miles on. The engine oil pan is rotted, heat shields rotted and rubbing on the flywheel, electrical system replaced, rotted body no matter how many times it was repaired! Dodge/C has done nothing to help me But take my money. Purchased extended warranty, nothing covered - fed up! Stopped warranty, after multiple items were being denied, never was treated this way. Now starter 426.00 to replace, 965.00 for engine oil pan replacement, rotted heat shields on motor, trans heat shield rubbing. Dodge refuses to do anything but charge me up the you know what. I bought 4 vehicles from them and they never did one warranty or recall. Totally refused, waited almost 1 year on my jeep recall. Why dont you guys honor your vehicles? Im a disabled emergency worker who you keep taking advantage of!! Fix it!!

The fuel tank sensor stopped working on my 2012 dodge RAM with 19000 miles on it 5 days after the warranty runs out. Could not get my truck inspected until I got it fixed. 390.00 later I am back on the road. Contacted RAM. Nothing they could do for me as it was past the 3 years. I wonder if they had the truck programmed to break after the warranty ended. Truck was always maintained and never abused. I should not be having 390.00 repair bills on a truck with 19000 miles on it. I would never buy another dodge RAM!!!

PROBLEMS WITH 2015 DIESEL 3500 DODGE RAM!!! I can’t speak for any other truck but 2 weeks ago my truck had a message about the DEF pump and I took it in. And I have taken very good care of this truck, oil changes are on time, fuel filters get changed on time, I take it to the car wash regularly, the DEF fluid is put in as soon as it hits the ½ way mark, I put new tires on it. They replaced the pump and found that something electrical was causing the pump to burn up. Well yesterday 3/30/17 I was told that the part wouldn’t be in for 3 MONTHS!!! In that amount of time they could rebuild the entire truck. Now I can’t trust it even if I get it back to haul my 5th wheel or me for that matter. My truck has 35,000 miles on it, however you don’t buy a truck to make huge truck payments on a something that you CAN’T DRIVE!!! I called CHRYSLER 1-866-726-4636 and they said someone would call me back in a couple days, but hey if they happen to not call you by Friday, you can call back on Monday. What the Hell!!! REPLACE THE WHOLE TRUCK OR OFFER ME SOMETHING!!! If you buy a 3500 Dodge Ram you best have someone follow you when you haul your 5th wheel once it gets to 35000 miles because let me tell you will be stranded on the side of the road!! And good luck having your truck to even get to a campground. They said they would reimburse me for a rental car, NO just pay for it, and pay for my truck payments since CHRYSLER HAS MY TRUCK AND I DON’T! I love the looks of my truck but if I can’t drive it what good is it?!! I hope that anyone who has already purchased a 3500 Dodge Ram doesn’t have issues with blood pressure because this would definitely raise it even more. I don’t care where you buy a vehicle from. 3 ½ months is an unacceptable time frame for them to fix your vehicle. CHRYSLER SUCKS!!!

Purchased a 2014 Ram 1500 express in September 2014. Within 4,000 miles I observed odd tire wear on rt front tire. According to definitions by Bridgestone and Goodyear the tire wear condition is known as heal/toe wear or feathering. Have noticed that about half the trucks in my area are experiencing same problem. Have had 4 alignments, road force tire balance, and no improvement!Alignment in factory specs have 12,100 miles now, expecting maybe 3,000 more likes before I have to replace tire. Have Ram case worker assigned. No known fix to problem. Alignment does not correct problem. Dodge has now referred me to National Center for Dispute Settlement. Arbitration board will hear my case and attempt to settle in 40 days or less. If I am not satisfied I will lemon law truck through lemon law act. This is my 11th Chrysler vehicle, and the fifth truck. Very, very disappointed with suspension issue. Dodge used to be a good truck, but frankly Fiat is in way over their head having purchased this company. At this point they will give me a new truck through arbitration or lemon law act and make me happy or I will brink a class action suit against them. I know at least five other owners who are dealing with same problem and are more than willing to join action with me. My advice to Ram truck owners, dont let dealers blow you off, be insistent with customer care, and stick to your guns, the law is on your side!!!

WTH is going on. VIN is was assigned only a few weeks after but its stuck in D status which is not even through the line yet. This is not the 4-8 weeks that I thought it was going to be. I have a 2012 Dodge RAM 5.7 Hemi with a #5 misfire problem. The problem was reported to the dealership at the last oil change, but all they did was reset the fault code and returned the vehicle to service, exclaiming they could not duplicate the problem. Took it in last week and informed them of my concerns. Two days ago, received a call from the Tech Representative requesting permission to accomplish a complete tuneup, i.e. spark plugs, possible bad coil pack, and to perform a fuel system clean and flush. Aghast, I responded that this was a complete waste of time! On top of that, the service departments wants $775.00 dollars just for a tuneup. Obviously I think they are trying to find ways to make normal servicing so expensive that I would either choose to take my truck back and fix it myself (which voids the warranty), or to pay them a hell of a lot of money to do something that would only take about 1.5 hours. This is so they could pay the techs and the Reps labor for completing a warranty replacement, should it come down to that.I already know what is wrong with the engine. #5 (and sometimes, 1, and 3 cylinders) have a history of failing due to faulty valve seat design. The hemi heads utilized pressed-in valve seats that are powder coated from Mexico (theres problem number 1), and these rings eventually work themselves out of the valve ports, mostly the exhaust side, but sometimes the intake side. As the seats back out, but doesnt completely fall out, compression is lost although not entirely gone. This explains why some of the misfiring only happens at 3/4 to WOT responses. In severe cases, the seats come out complete resulting in destroying the piston, the heads, and possibly the timing chain if enough forced impact occurs.I have 4,000 miles left on the warranty, and it is quite clear that the dealership in Sumter South Carolina is trying to throw the vehicle back at me without actually repairing my truck. And if the tune-up doesnt solve the problem, they will have constituted SOME labor expenses from the most expensive tune-up in recorded history! $95 diagnostic charge, and nearly $700 bucks for a tuneup for no more than 1 to 2 hours of work! What ticks me off is how Chrysler has continued to engage in mafia style treatment in forcing consumers to buy their crap, con them into buying the extended warranty, and yet refuse to honor the warranty when circumstances are warranted. How in the name of God are these people allowed to continue bamboozling the American people?I have been screwed twice before from Dodge! My 1997 Dodge Stratus 2.4 liter lost a head gasket at 48,000 miles. Repairs were at my own expensive at about $650 bucks. A year later, the gasket failed again, only this time resulting in a seized engine! I next bought a 2002 Stratus R/T with the worthless 2.7 liter engine. This engine lost a water pump at 89,000 miles. But because the pump is internal, and a special tool is required to depressurize the timing chain tension pump, I was left with paying Chrysler some $900 dollars in repairs. 8 months later, it failed again only this time destroying the engine! Now my 2012 RAM may need an engine replacement, and at best, the dealership will choose a Jasper engine which are nothing but crap! Total crap! And thats even if the dealership doesnt try backing the truck back at me with a continued problem! The solution folks? DO NOT BUY DODGE! And ignore some of the online trolls telling you they have over 300,000 miles and counting on their trucks and cars. Some (if not all) of those people are paid trolls to defend Chryslers worthless piles of junk! The 5.9 engines were not that bad. Sure they were under-powered compared to the Hemis, but very rarely did any 5.9 engines fail except under vehicle maintenance neglect. There is absolutely no reason why my 2012 Dodge RAM truck should have a worn camshaft, worn lifter roller, faulty valve-seat rings, and all leading to misfiring of cylinder 5 with under 100,000 miles accumulated!Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me! Fool me thrice, then double shame on me! I swear to Chrysler that I will never buy another Dodge vehicle ever again! Moreover, I will ensure that no future customers are fooled into buying your pieces of crap! Facebook, Youtube, online forms will be filled with my rants! And trust me! Ive personally seen three people in my town with this very same problem, 2 of which had theirs repaired under warranty, but the other screwed. Looks like I am next!

I purchased a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 5.7 HEMI Quad Cab with 30,000 miles. It was a big purchase for me so I couldnt afford costly repairs. Well, I picked the wrong truck for that! Within the first year the truck spent a lot of time at a couple different dealers getting the dodge kinks out of it. A steering box, steering pump, 2 sets of ball joints, 2 sets of axle joints, front bearings, lower control arms, front cv drive shaft, 2 tie rod ends, clutch and flywheel, front Y pipe and sensors, wheel hub assemblies and other odds and ends. Now after so much work the steering is soo tight that every small move on the steering wheel the truck swerves in that direction and will not center itself. To add icing on the cake, even though I took good care of the body and kept it washed and waxed constantly, the clear coat is peeling off of the roof and top of the doors and rust bubbles are showing up everywhere. I drove it daily for 2 years until I parked it because I can not afford to keep repairing it or keeping the 14mpg engine fueled up. I spent hours talking to warranty reps and Chrysler and I would have been better off talking to my dog. I am simply just waiting until it is paid down enough to part with it and never look back. 2 1/2 years of nightmares and family loaners. $30K truck and I dont even trust it to haul my family.

This has been a nightmare of gargantuan proportions. I purchased a vehicle, signed the paperwork December 9, 2019. The vehicle was finally delivered to me Friday, December 20th. It was dirty inside when I picked it up and it never worked properly. I took it back to the dealer the following Monday morning (Dec. 23rd). It is now March 11, 2020 and I still do not have a vehicle. The corporate employees I have had to deal with told me things like, they have an unlimited amount of time to decide what to do. They dont return calls in a timely manner. They are trying to get me to take another truck and charge me more, because the special that was running at the time I bought the original truck isnt applicable now. They have offered to trade vehicles for weeks, but havent agreed to a meeting time to arrange for it. I have been paying insurance and payments for a vehicle I dont have and they havent offered to reimburse me for the insurance. I posted on Dealer Rater and BBB in January and it was the only thing that got their attention, so here I am again, hoping to get this settled and, to be honest, I dont want anything to do with Dodge/Chrysler anymore at this point. I just want my money back so I can go elsewhere and purchase a vehicle that works from a dealer that cares. Oh, and the real kicker is that I have since found out that the problem with this model has been known for over four years, the parts to fix it are hard to get and one service tech said he is surprised by one of these vehicles lasting 10,000 miles before the failure occurs. Yet, they are still selling the vehicles. If they are out of warranty when the problem occurs, it costs over $7000 to fix it.

I first purchased my 2019 Dodge Ram pickup back in April, everything went great I purchased an all black Big Horn. The whole dealership came to congratulate me on being the first to purchase. I received random thumbs up from strangers I was enjoying the truck as my daily driver, picking up the kids etc. Fast forward to my current experience with my Ram and I haven’t driven it a full week since August due to my power steering locking up at random times. The most recent time was two days ago where I couldn’t even get out the driveway nor turn the truck back into my yard without the power steering hindering my turn. After sitting in the waiting area a total of 10 hours, driving 3 different loaner vehicles, I now feel like purchasing this truck was one of my worst experiences I’ve made. I know that many new vehicles have small things but I feel that the safety of my family and I has been at risk and the best I could get is a truck that locks back up the next day. The track bar broke on my truck and I had lost steering. I managed to cross over two lanes of traffic to the emergency lane and crawl home at 25 miles per hour. When I called Dodge, the woman at the recall center said that they went by VIN numbers only and that my VIN number was not on the recall list. Therefore it could not have been the track bar that failed. As she continued, she said that they knew only 1500 trucks had the wrong smaller truck part and because my VIN was not on the list. It could not have been the track bar. I asked where do I go to get it fixed and submit proof of the track bar being the wrong size and she said its up to me to get it fixed and its not Dodges fault if the wrong size was installed. But they would appreciate me being a Dodge customer. I HATE DODGE! Every Dodge we ever had, the drivers door come off the hinges or they break leaving us to weld the door shut, suspensions go, engines go. Grrrrr, frustrating.

Since we have bought our Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 we have had nothing but problems. #1 stalls when driving. #2 put 4 trannys in it and dont pull anything heavy with it. #3 paint falling off it. #4 it revs up when just idling. Some people now days can only afford one vehicle and when they do they expect it to be a good one. I will tell you one thing if I can afford to get another one it will definitely NOT be a Dodge. It was working when I dropped it off on 12-3-14. 5) Steering wheel is still sloppy. There is too much play. This is the fifth time they tightened it. 6) There is masking tape residue on the passenger side, after the windshield was removed at Airpark, to install the new ceiling. 7) Still no stopping power from truck breaks when trailer is hooked up. 8) Replace ceiling. Bill has it ordered. Never installed after a month and a half. 9) Tires are bald. Bill has an email to Coy. Waiting on response. Response was Not our problem. 10) There still is loud eerie creaking noises coming from truck, when in off position. 11) The horn sometimes sounds weak. You can hardly hear it. 12) Still no power and lag when towing a trailer. 13) The truck auto starts on its own. 14) The truck will not let you in sometimes when using the remote.15) BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!! The truck will go into full acceleration when you are driving. It has almost KILLED me, and others when this happens.I would like to start a class action lawsuit. Please call if you have the same issues.

Updated on 06/02/2020: 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4. Never even made it home from the dealer lot. Mechanical issues with the steering. Tried to return it before ever leaving dealer lot. No-go (dealership sucks too). Dropped in service department and remained there first 2 weeks of ownership. Finally got it home first time and been back in shop 15 times now. Rack & pinion steering stripped gears, rear axle pinion seal leaking, start/stop button failed, radio messed up - twice, paint peeling from roof and other places on body, rear passenger side window wont roll up, driver visor wont stay up, nav crapped out, 5 recalls first 3.5 years. Dealer service manager told me to stop bringing it back as there is nothing more they can do. Corp RamCare denied warranty coverage and extended warranty has denied 3 claims.Original Review: Worst vehicle I ever owned. Terrible purchase experience from Dodge dealership in Conroe, TX and nothing but ongoing issues since day 1. In fact, even got home the day I picked it up from the dealer. Left parking lot onto street and had to return to drop in service department for two weeks. Rear window wont roll up, rack & pinion stripped gears, start button stuck and cant turn vehicle off, paint flaking off roof, alignment way off and wont stay put, drooping drivers side visor, radio drifts and changes functions when hot, shifting problems, map lights failed, leaking 3rd brake light, rear pinion seal leaking. Total lemon. Dodge wont take back. Dealer told me to stop bringing it in after 12 trips to shop in 3 years. Arbitration service said no warranty as long as vehicle is drivable. Dodge customer service said no warranty if vehicle kept outdoors. Run far and fast from Dodge. Total Garbage and Waste of $40K.

I have ordered a new 2013 Laramie Quad cab 4X4 1500 pickup. There was some confusion in determining what items were standard, etc. So after I ordered it, I wanted to build it on your Ram Trucks site to verify the options, etc. Your site just does not work and to this day, I cannot build the truck I ordered. I became so frustrated that I considered cancelling the order even if I lost my earnest money and purchase a Ford or Chevy. I cannot understand why any management group would allow a sales site to be online that is so terrible and basically does not work property. If I were a shareholder of Chrysler, I would show up at the annual meeting and see if I could get a reasonable response. I am sure as a repeating customer I have no influence.

I have had the DEF pump replaced twice & an injector replaced once on my 2015 Ram 1500 and the problem is back again. Purchased this truck new in November 2018. Brought it into dealer for their recall V06 possible loss of steering control. 7040 miles on it. Dealership performed factory mandated correction of welding the jam nuts in place on the draglink assembly. When I requested the drag link components be replaced with whatever the new trucks coming off the line have, they said their hands were tied by the factory to just weld the adjustment solid. This makes it necessary to grind off the welds for any adjustment in the future, and then re-weld them. This is not acceptable to me.No one with Chrysler will say how many times this potential cut the welds and re-weld process could be done. No one at Chrysler seems to know if the new trucks coming off their line have the assembly jam nuts welded. No one at Chrysler seems to care about the fact that I now own this truck with a diminished value as a result of this band aid fix, that is no longer adjustable. It is not what I purchased when new and I think it should be repaired to Like New condition. I have been told that they are not doing anything further and I am just going to have to accept their fix. I feel I have exhausted any further action with the Ram case management division as they have indicated they have no one with any more authority to consider this problem. Told them I will not be buying any Chrysler products again and got the impression they really dont care.

I owned a 98 Dodge Ram right off the showroom floor and before I gave it to my son, it only had two major issues. One was a recall for towing package, they had to weld an extra piece of metal to the trailer hitch. The other issue was, I am assuming the same as most other people that owned that year with the Dashboards that fell apart.I currently own a 2011 Cummins Turbo Diesel, that had the left tie rod recall, took the truck into my local dealership, oh and I bought from a privately owned dealership about 200 miles from where I live. The dealership I took it to for the recall didnt ask any questions or anything about doing the work. I bought this truck in July of this year and have already put over 5K miles on it and shes running like a dream. In my opinion, if you bought your truck for something other than work, then you bought the wrong thing. These are work trucks, built to be USED!!!! If you bought it for the NAV or the Phone or fancy Radio, then maybe you should have looked into buying something else for that price, like a Benz, BMW, Audi or Volvo. Just my opinion. Oh the 98, when I gave it to my son 9 months ago, had over 120K miles on it. The Cummins I traded my Challenger for and only paid 23K for it. Just because these vehicles have all that fancy stuff on them doesnt make them not be a Truck!

We installed both a front and rear bumper replacement on a 2016 Dodge Ram. During the process we removed the sensors in the factory bumpers and reinstalled them in the aftermarket bumpers. The sensors failed to come back on so we sent it to the Dodge dealership for re-calibration. They discovered that six of the sensors had failed. The total bill will be just under $1000. How is it that these sensors are so sensitive that they cannot stand such a simple process as removal and re-installation? If these sensors are really this sensitive, they must be a faulty design and should be recalled.

To cut a very long boring story short, Ram dont know where the truck is. The phone # and live chat cant or wont answer any questions like where is my truck?! Then the Ram rep called the rail yard where the truck is and was told they were not releasing the truck!! WHY? Nobody knows. I asked for a list of dealers that had a similar equipped truck and was told to go to my dealer they should have one!!! They dont. Thats why we ordered one. I give up. I told the dealer to get me a delivery date, have not heard anything. RAM yep.

The Dodge brake controller, when not working, does not indicated that it is not working. Hence one is left without brakes when pulling a trailer. This is a serious failure. When the Dodge dealer is asked to remove the integrated brake controller from the vehicle computer system all you get is cant. This of course is BS and is clearly stated on all the Dodge forums as being possible. So why should it be impossible to get a dealer to fix your truck?? Lack of caring is how I put it and hence why Dodge gets the lowest ratings.

My new Ram 1500 started having a burnt oil smell coming through the vents at about 400 miles. It is worse when sitting still or at an idle. Been to local dealer with no luck. I was told there is no issue, its a new truck. Opened up a case with Chrysler and my case worker told me that dealer advised him I should take it back to original dealer. Original dealer could find nothing. Changed the oil, first change at the dealer. Same issue once I got back home and came to a stop. It was bad enough that the burnt oil smell released into the air of my 2.5 car garage. An half hour later my entire garage smelled like burnt oil.

Well, where do I start. We bought a truck from Kernersville Dodge. It was a $3500.00 Dually and paid cash for the truck. We did this in October and we still do not have the title for this vehicle. We have called the dealer and Chrysler several times and each one has told me that the title was mailed. Then I spoke to a manager and she said, Well, we dont have the title to send you, so she didnt know what the first 3 people were talking about. We think that the dealer had not paid off the truck and they still had a lien on the title. I couldnt tell you. I have never been lied to so much.In the meantime. We have had the truck in there for at least 5 times for the vibration. It has been to 3 dealerships now and still Chrysler doesnt want to make it right. Kernersville tried to balance it and then said nothing was wrong. We fussed and fussed until Chrysler sent us to Nichols in Burlington. They did put 2 ties on the front and it was 2 totally different tires then what was on the truck. And they didnt report even doing that job. We fussed about that and they wouldnt make it right. So, we go back to Chrysler and tell them that we are going to get an attorney and get the truck returned and get our money back. The next day we get a call and they have made us an appointment for Crown Dodge in Greensboro. I take the truck in there and the service advisor says oh yeah we had one just like this when he worked at another dealer and we had to fight and fight Chrysler before they would change the tires and it is back tires that we have the issue with. So, he called yesterday and said that Chrysler wouldnt make the tires good and we would have to fight with them. So, I pick it up again today. The other issue was that we had the radio go out and Kernersville ran a test and said to our face that they would change the radio out. We said okay, expecting them to call when they got it in. And we would AGAIN drive 100 miles round trip to get that done. Well, when the Crown Dodge place called Kernersville Dodge to see if they ordered that radio, the guy said, Oh, we already changed that radio out. We knew was a lie. When my husband had talked to them the week before to check on all of this, they said that they had no record of getting a radio or that they even tested the radio. They would have to do that again. We had the paperwork where they did it. So, did they do the test or not. We know they didnt change it out. So, Crown ran their own test and yes the radio is bad and they ordered another. So, now I have in my possession a 60,000 dollar truck with no title and mix match tires that cant be rotated and a radio that goes on and off on its own. Hmmm, but Kernersville Dodge wont make it right. But they were all fine when I was getting ready to make that check out. Oh, yeah I didnt mention that they put the tag under the wrong weight and it was supposed to be a farm tag and it wasnt. Kernersville Dodge did that and didnt want to make that right either. We were told to pay the taxes on the truck and buy another tag. And guess what? I dont have a title or registration to get a tag. The temporary tag has run out. The worst experience I have ever had with a car dealer. They suck. And what makes me so mad is that they dont care. They really could care less if you are a happy customer or not.

My Ram stopped in the middle of road 3 times now. First time I took it to the dealer they replaced a cable. Second time they replaced the mpc because the water went in it. It has been raining but I cant even take it to a car wash. And now the third, the engine cut off. The dealer is telling me its the alternator and its not covered under warranty because it was muddy. The cost is approx $2000. Let me just say that when I bought the Ram for work, it was to be able to travel in a construction site. Even they advertise it going in mud, mountains etc. I am very disappointed of this truck. Seems that I wont be able to take to work anymore and leave it in the parking at home since it wont survive mud. Never going to buy a Dodge truck ever again. My hubby could have been killed. Very lucky my two year old son wasnt aboard. They are claiming that there is a nail hole in the tire and that’s what caused the blow out. As if passing over $50,000 to them for the truck wasnt enough. Now we are driving around with a 17 inch dummy tire on our brand new truck. While driving my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 truck, the ignition shuts down. The truck stalls out and I lose power steering and control. This has happened on several occasions and many times nearly caused an accident. I have spoke with Dodge about this dangerous situation more than once and have taken my vehicle into the local Dodge dealer for repairs. Some of the repairs were performed on a recall status, however this stalling problem has not been addressed and does not show up on the computer; therefore it doesnt exists!! My truck stalled five times yesterday and had to struggle to steer it off the road to prevent a rear-end collision. My wife was with me twice and refuses to ride in this vehicle any longer. I called Dodge yesterday and was on hold for 35 minutes. I finally called a representative not associated with any recalls and expressed my dissatisfaction concerning this matter. I was told there would be a 24 hour time period before a supervisor returned my call. I have not heard as yet. I clearly do not know what to do. I need this vehicle for my work and it has been modified to tow vehicles. I just cant climb in another vehicle and perform my duties. Dodge does not want to admit there is a problem because then it would have to be added to their long list of recalls. I wonder if it will show up on their computers when there is a fatality. Apparently, they have scheduled another appointment at a different dealer to check the truck again. I will have to take time off work and only hope I arrive there safely.

I bought a 2013 RAM 4 door 4x4 diesel with 15 miles on it in August of 2013. After a while my passenger door wouldnt shut right. You would have to slam it which Im totally against. But anyways when I hit 600 miles on my way out to the R.O.W. my check engine light came on and gave me a message saying something I cant remember exactly but see dealer. So I called the dealer in Enid, OK where I had just bought the TRUCK I have always wanted to purchase, the truck of my dreams. So I turned around and went to the Dodge house and I had to get my whole truck resynchronized. No big deal. They said its a new truck, I said ok. This is my first new truck I guess this is normal. I was convinced so then I get back on the road head to work. It yaaa, its fixed, got that out of the way back to new. Almost month goes by at 2,000 miles check engine, see dealer, Im freaking out. I call the dealer. I had to get the software updated again. They said no big deal, this happens all the time. Wont hurt anything. I said somethings wrong with this. This cant be right. So they updated it again. So I hit the road 2,500 miles, it happens again. At this point Im fed up. I talk to ** the sales guy that sold me the truck and I told him whats going on. He said well lets go check it out. Checks it out and he comes back says it just needed updated and youll be good to go. I said ok but somethings not right. The sales guy said this is what happens when you buy a new truck, you have to work out the bugs. I said No, no. The whole truck is not right. He said oh its all good and if you have any more problems just stop by and we will get it fixed for you. I just walked off mad with this truck they put me in. My job moved from Enid, OK to Elk City, OK about three hrs away so I go to Doug Gray of Elk City OK. At 35,000 miles my fuel pump goes out. Wow, wow this is crazy. I have a 96 chevy that still has its original fuel pump. Wow so they fix that well about 34,000. My truck starts down shifting hard. I mean hard. There was a knock on the floor every time I would decell so I stop back by the Dodge house in Elk City OK and they had to relearn the my tranny and they charged me to relearn my tranny. I made a big deal about it but didnt wave it, stopped the hard shift I was surprised yaaaa they took care of it for me. Well a couple of weeks go by it starts the hard down shift again so I call Doug Gray of Elk City and go by there. They relearned my tranny without charge this time. Before I moved to Houston my factory warranty was almost up so I spent $1,500 to extended everything to 109,000 miles for my protection and to save me some money in the long run - nottt. Thats a joke too. I have to pay anyway at 50,000 miles. My truck was due for an oil change. I took it in there, got everything done and the service guys come out and says did you know your front differential is leaking. Its not bad but leaking. You have to get that fixed right now. I said is it under warranty? If it is, fix it. If its not, I cant afford it. But I extended my warranty, front diff seal is part of the drive train. They said yeah but you have to pay 400$, its not under your warranty. I said why. So I had gotten it fixed shortly after that and its doing fine. Now Im at 85,000 miles and I get a message SAYING PREFORM SERVICE SEE DEALER. So I had the money so I get that done for 1,800$ and I ask them what do yall have to do to fix that **? One of the service advisors at Clear Lake Dodge told me that it consist of all my filters from fuel to air to oil and that theres a filter in the def and some other exhaust filter of some sort. I said ok well and let me purchase a oil service contract. He said ok I have this good deal, 3 car wash, 3 oil changes and 3 tire rotations for 180$ so I got it and I told him not to rotate my tires because they were wore down and I was buying new ones the next day!!! So what did ** do everything I told him not to. Like he had lack of attention when he was baby (HE DID NOT TELL ME I COULD ONLY USE THAT CONTRACT THERE or his sister store). Now Im at 88,000 miles I now moved to Houston TX at 88,000 miles. Truck has been running fine until I pulled out of a parking lot and I notice my D.E.F gauge went from half a tank to nothing and it said refill D.E.F speed limited to 5 mph in 190 miles. I was like ok so I pull over and refill my def, hop back in the truck and start to take off and look down and my gauge is not working. Im like whaaat? Whaaat is going on? So I start to the house and Im worried on the way home my gauge started working until I let off the gas and my gauge stopped working again. But it reset itself back to 190 miles till limited. At least it reset itself but gauge still not working. I was going to stop in the middle of Houston and break down so I keep going. I make it home, kill my truck and started my truck again. Gauge came on then went right back off and reset itself from 100 miles to limited to 5 mph back to 190 miles to limited. I took my truck to the shop and they want to charge me cause their pump is defaulty. And this is where I sit right now, trying to get Chrysler to fix my truck. The only reason I bought a new truck is so that way I didnt have a breakdown and keep putting money into something. I think these new trucks are a joke - nice but a joke. Its like they have a button they push when they want you to spend money and invest in their product for more sales.

I bought the truck used from a Dodge dealership. Used it. Had 58,000 miles on it. I was shocked I got the loan so I planned on keeping the truck for a while. I swear there was a defect in the truck when it was made, I took it to good people not on backyard mechanics. No one to this day could figure out why. I would of placed a suit against dodge for all the money I spent because trucks just dont do that. The truck was never wrecked either. Last winter I put a Jasper trany and Jasper transfer case in it. Had my truck maintained all the time. Last Nov. I had to change everything because it blew out dry shafts muffler pipes. It vibrating and no one can figure it out. WELL I am extremely happy to say I got another loan and I bought me a Ford F250 Super Duty. I will never buy a Dodge Ram ever again. They would have to give it to me for me drive it.

We purchased this vehicle brand new in 2011. We love the truck and have never had any issues with it except for the paint chipping off and its rusting already at 4 years old. At approximately a year old we noticed a random chip above one of the headlights. You can tell it bubbled up and chipped off. The damage was not from a rock or an accident. We now have 2 different rust spots. One is on the end gate coming out from the dodge emblem and the other is right above the windshield. Like I stated, love the truck but am very disappointed in the quality of the paint!!

First I must say that I have had a lot of warranty work done to this vehicle already and that in itself is depression. The brakes however have been a problem since I purchased the truck. Since the first 100 miles I started seeing brake dust build up on my chrome rims. At 30 thousand miles I had it at the dealer for a sensor problem that was under warranty and asked them to check the brakes. I was then informed that I would need all new brake pads because there was a lot of rust on the brakes built up from not driving it as much. So the brakes were changed but the dust problem persisted. So with the price of gas going down I started using the truck more and more. (No more sitting and rusting). Now at 58 thousand miles it was in for the recall and more warranty work and I asked them to check the brakes again. It wasnt hard to detect a problem since I had a loss of power, heavy brake dust build up and when I stopped on a slight incline and put the truck in neutral it did not roll. I was informed by the service department that the arch enemy RUST was back but this time it was because of it being exposed to the harsh climate that I live in. Now I needed all 4 wheels not only brakes but calipers, rotors, pads brackets you name it I needed it replaced, because of RUST! What the dealer was going to charge me amounted to a down payment on a new truck. Although I could do the work myself I had a friend of mine who is a certified mechanic do the work for less than 1 quarter of the cost of the dealer. While doing the repairs he found that the rear axle seals were leaking and had contaminated my parking brake. So I contacted the dealer again and the seals are covered under warranty but, if you havent already guessed the parking brakes are not.Now after reading online and talking with certified mechanics this seems to be a widespread problem with Chrysler vehicles. So should this not be addressed by the National Highway Safety Administration? Perhaps these vehicles should be recalled. Brakes are a safety concern to everyone driving on the roadways, Are they Not? These vehicles are advertised as work horses and machines that are made to tow. So why cant they stop as well. Also after having aftermarket part installed and a few hundred miles later, still no brake dust, mileage has increased by almost 4mpg and it rolls freely when in neutral.

I have 2019 Dodge Ram lease, I’m very satisfied with the vehicle EXCEPT for the touch screen which is so attention distracting that I believe it poses a hazard for drivers. I find myself having to pull off the side of the road to operate features because the system is so complex it’s a distraction. The US Navy is getting rid of touch screens because they feel they are a danger and blame them for two recent vessel collisions. This kind of technology is highly overrated and make the vehicles less safe to drive. Knobs and buttons are easier to to navigate and safer to use. More tech is not always a better idea.

We have taken our 2015 Ram 3500 Tradesman diesel numerous times to three different dealers to try and find the source of diesel exhaust coming into the cab through the air ducts especially when the heater is on because the air does not recycle. It makes our entire family sick. We are being poisoned by diesel exhaust. Ram claims that no one else has this problem which is obviously a lie. It sounds like Thaddeus of S. Atoms River, NJ has the same problem. We also drove the identical vehicle on the lot and it had the same smell. This is a serious health issue and Ram needs to address it immediately before someone who doesnt have the same sensitivity to smells dies of diesel exhaust poisoning. Look it up on the internet. It is serious. It can cause chest pains up to two days later. Immediate issues include headache, nausea, throat and eye irritation. Please call Dodge Ram and complain if you have a similar problem. Dont let your dealer blow you off. This is serious.

Bought the 2105 Ram Long Horn 2015 new 52,000.00. Had 4 recalls on it, not counting this last problem which I will describe. While the vehicle was under warranty the vehicle locked up in the rear up position. Could not change it. Dealer finally changed out the pump motor in December of 2017. This is October of 2018 and the vehicle is doing the same thing. When the new pump was put in I was told the parts and labor were covered for 2 years. What they failed to tell me was once the original warranty expired, that pump and the labor are no longer covered. So the new pump they put in 10 months ago is now going to cost me over 2,000.00 and the truck has 34,000 miles on it. Well, I am now going to buy a Chevy truck, and I pray my wifes 2018 Dodge Challenger holds up. Chrysler has stuck it to this customer for the last time!!! Do not buy a Dodge truck with that inferior air suspension. The 2019 Dodge Ram has a recall on the rear end before you leave the sales floor, so you are now warned about this junk manufacturer and their junk product!

I purchased this Dodge Ram 1500 late in 2015. Regularly serviced, 13000 miles. New condition. Was driving it at low speed when it stalled. I pulled off the road and noticed flames, called 911 until the fire company arrived. My vehicle was engulfed in flames. I darn near popped the hood. Glad I did not. Anyone have pending lawsuits against Dodge Ram? I have seen several posts about an alternator problem that leads to fires but perhaps they are hushing things up. Any similar experiences and recommendations? I have owned 3 Dodge Rams and purchased 5 Chrysler products.

Best 3/4 ton truck on the market in my opinion. Power is great, mileage OK and quality fantastic. The amount of purchase could be better, but for what is out there, not a better truck out there. I would stay away from the 1/2 ton though, as my experience shows the fuel mileage sucks and the Hemi has been plagued with problems.

My drivers side airbag deployed in my 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 as I was driving down the road on Monday. I did not hit anything; it just deployed. I spoke to Chrysler and they told me that because my truck is 17 years old that they are not going to do anything. They are not even interested in finding out why it happened? I know that there are thousands of these trucks still on the road and I think that it is ** of them to not care because of the age of the vehicle. My truck is in great shape and is well taken care of and I am very disturbed with the experience that I just had with them. This may make me think twice before buying another Dodge.

I work for a auto transport company and bought my Dodge truck which was fine till I got 20000 miles and went to the mountains in Colorado. The truck had a check engine light come on. Dealer scanned said loss of fuel pressure at the rail. The truck was flashed, done great till the mountains and went to crap again. Went to dealer again and they told me it needs flashed again. Know this supposed a new truck flashing come on...get to California and lost pressure again. They replaced the pressure relief valve, picked up truck, drove to my trailer and would you know that the check engine light back on again. They say it is out of warranty for the buy back even though the problem has yet been fixed.

We bought this truck with 4000 miles on it. A demo wrecker. Big, strong, able to handle what we could throw at it. Unfortunately, have had nothing but an issue out of the def system. Hard to keep a wrecker on the road when it keeps flashing the shut down and will not restart in 200 miles message. Finally my husband found the problem. Def fluid crystallizes when air hits it, and each time you add def fluid a small amt of air hits the fluid, so guess what happens. Right. Some of those crystals get in the system, stop up the injector. If you dont believe, check the funnel you use to add def fluid. Crystals you will find. Still has SES light for the system, but at least its not shutting down now. Just a bit disappointed in the product dodge advertised as the truck built especially for the wrecker industry. Wake up Dodge. Wheres your pride in your products? The amt I gave for this truck should make it trouble free for a long, long time.

My brother and I purchased a brand new 2014 Ram 3500 4x4 cc with 6.4 hemi from Tri- Cities Jeep/Dodge/Ram in Kingsport, TN. The night we purchase it 12 miles from the dealership, the loose gas cap light comes on then the check engine light. I continue on home because we werent done till 10 pm dealership closed. The next morning I go back, take it to service, explain what happened and they apologize, agree to usher right in to be checked. Three hours later they come get me and tell the gas cap was loose, I didnt tighten it correctly. It and check engine code reset, all is good. BTW I did not fill it up the dealership did. Later that same day, have driven my truck 43 miles since purchase, the lights come on again. The next day I return to the dealership and explain my displeasure and disgust. They tell me they need the truck for 4-6 hours to smoke test emissions system for leak which now appeared with loose cap light but they cant provide loaner car which is part of Car-Doc warranty I got with the truck. I schedule appointment for following Wed at 8 am. I took the truck in and set for 3 hours while they test it. The results are no leaks, has to be a loose gas cap, they flashed computer to clear codes, should all be good just be sure to tighten gas cap properly. This set me off, I have been driving for 25 years and surely have tightened a gas cap before as I explained to this young man. I proceeded to my salesman and asked for them to fill my truck up again, since most of my first tank of gas was used going back and forth to have light fixed. They did refill it. As I get on my street the light comes back on for the 4th time. I called back and told them I want it taken in and kept till fixed and I need a loaner for my business. I am told they dont have loaner trucks and I would have to wait on a list for a loaner car!!! I have owned several Dodges and used this dealer 3 times but I am thinking I am done with both. Should have bought Ford!!!!

I have a 1993 Dodge Ram with a 5.9 Cummins engine. This truck is a Club Cab 4x4 with an automatic transmission. I rebuilt the transmission at 328,000 miles and the truck now has 356,000 miles with the original motor and running gear. I change my fluids often and have no issues whatsoever. Every option from the cold AC and cruise control to the rear view camera that I added work perfectly. This truck consistently gets 18mpg which is better than most 3/4 ton 4x4 pickups on the road. I get compliments everywhere I go from people driving newer vehicles, many of them making payments while theyre constantly taking it to the dealer for repairs. I would not hesitate to drive my truck anywhere, anytime. If you are tired of paying $40k, $50k or $60k for a new truck that just creates headaches, consider getting a real truck from the 1990s when the big 3 were in competition with each other as to who could build the best truck on the road. Unfortunately today they are only competing for profit at the expense of making cheaply built vehicles carrying over inflated price tags.

Well, after taking the hijacked vehicle into the dealer, they were just as puzzled as to why the truck popped the Service DEF, See Dealer message as according to their tech, the entire system checked out. Regardless, they performed a reset of the PCM and supposedly updated it to the latest version. Thus far the truck is running, but who knows if this issue will crop up again. In any case, my original rating has to stand as this is outrageous that they will put out into limp mode, on an otherwise perfectly running vehicle, after 200 miles. It would make sense to simply warn to correct the error or at least extend the range/speed to a more reasonable level.

I happen to recommend Dodge trucks. Yes they have a power steering problem based on the tires being too big for the system installed. I own an 03 ram 4x4. In 04 I had steering problems, I bought a custom rack and pinion for 300 bucks, new greasable ball joints (the originals go dry and hard on steering) and the tallest narrow tires I could find. Along with a 35 dollar steering pump from jegs 4x4 so in total about 500 bucks. Its now 2014 and my Ram is still proving why I have nothing but Dodge trucks for the last 20 years. Every truck has it habitual problems (Chevy trans), Ford rear ends blown, Toyota body and frame rusting early. But if you own a truck and your dealer cant fix it, you need a new dealer!!

In May my engine light came on. Now in November after 12k miles and 25 actual documented trips to service we still have same issue with Def system problems. Dealership, dodge and Cummings are all involved. Its going in again next week to install a device to monitor the truck from another location as well as a new pump and another sensor that has been replace multiple time. This is my everyday driver and being without a truck like this is not useful. In the 25 times I have been given a car once (had to be jumped 1/2 mile away to get back home) and a 1/2 ton old Chevy truck 3 times. Chrysler has given me a case manager and somehow my case was closed last week, I call inquiring why and they couldnt tell me but started a new one. Anyone else suspicious? 5 times so far the computer has threatened to shut down in 200 miles and instructs getting to dealership. So next week is 26 times in the shop since May with my everyday 5500 work truck with a dump landscape box, tool boxes, snow plow and computer stand installed in truck. I wish I could take away everyone elses computer until this truck is fixed.

When buying a vehicle normally buy to use not to always to be in the shop for repairs and waiting on parts or recalls. Frustration part is Ram dont care. Dodge Ram Rebel 1500. Purchased from Key Dodge, Lebanon, New Hampshire. Dodge Ram has in floor storage beneath rear passenger feet on both sides of the vehicle. Driving down a dirt road stick or branch kicked up. Broke plastic in floor bin/storage into interior of vehicle. Stopped by Key dealership to inquire as to pricing for parts. Was led to believe damage was indeed covered under warranty. Vehicle brought to dealership the next day and received a call two hours later after inspection of vehicle and informed that warranty would not cover damage. In order to do repairs for bin/storage the entire floor carpeting needs to be replaced. Interior of vehicle now is able to be exposed to outside elements i.e. road salt, dirt. Bad design flaw for an off-road capable vehicle plastic bin exposed on underbody of vehicle where road debris most certainly come into contact with said bin. Maybe some metal guard over bin or different bin/storage construction.
