Porsche Automobile Model 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster
2025 Porsche 718 Boxster
The 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster is a premium two-seat roadster that blends the brand’s legendary driving dynamics with modern technology and refined aesthetics. It offers open-top motoring with the balance and precision many enthusiasts look for from a Porsche, packaged in a convertible format.
Powertrains & Performance
The base 2.0-litre turbocharged flat-4 engine produces about 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.
Stepping up, the 2.5-litre turbo flat-4 (Boxster S) delivers around 350 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque.
At the top of the range, the naturally-aspirated 4.0-litre flat-6 in the Boxster GTS 4.0 generates approximately 394 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque.
Drive goes to the rear wheels, and you can choose either a 6-speed manual (on many trims) or Porsche’s dual-clutch PDK transmission on others.
Performance highlights: for the base version, 0–60 mph is about 4.7 seconds and top speed around 170 mph (with appropriate tires).
Design & Interior
The Boxster retains its classic long-hood, short-deck proportions and mid-engine layout, which promotes excellent balance and handling.
The convertible soft top folds behind the seats, giving an open-air driving experience without sacrificing much of the car’s character.
Inside, expect high-quality materials, driver-oriented controls, and modern connectivity (infotainment screen, smartphone integration, premium audio options).
Because it’s a focused sports car, practicalities like cargo space and passenger capacity are modest—it’s built primarily for driver enjoyment.
Notable Features & Technology
Porsche offers advanced options such as the Sport Chrono package (for enhanced launch control and dynamic mode settings) and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) for improved chassis response.
Standard driver-assistance systems include elements like blind-spot monitoring and lane-change assist in more advanced trims.
Customization is rich: choice of wheels, interior trims, exterior colours and performance upgrades let buyers tailor the Boxster to their preferences.
Strengths
Direct, engaging driving character: The mid-engine layout and high levels of chassis tuning deliver a driving experience few rivals can match.
Open-top motoring: The convertible format adds emotional appeal—wind in the hair, audible engine note, and a strong sense of occasion.
Brand prestige and build quality: As a Porsche, it benefits from high standards of engineering, materials, and finish.
Performance spread: With base, S and GTS 4.0 versions, buyers have a meaningful range of performance and price to choose from.
Things to Consider / Trade-Offs
Practicality is limited: With only two seats and a sport-focused cabin, it’s less versatile than everyday crossovers or larger GTs—cargo room and back-seat space are inherently restricted.
Cost: Being a premium sports car, the purchase price, maintenance, insurance and fuel costs will all be higher than more basic vehicles.
Ride and comfort: While refined for a sports car, the focus remains on performance. Some may find the ride firmer or the driving position more focused than a typical luxury cruiser.
Fuel economy: Efficiency is not the priority here; expect higher consumption compared to mainstream cars when driven hard.
Visibility and weather: As a convertible, rear visibility may be less than in fixed-roof models, and soft-top alternatives may have slightly different insulation/flexibility characteristics.
Ideal Buyer Profile
The 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster is most suitable for someone who:
Values the driving experience above sheer utility—someone who wants to enjoy each drive rather than just commute.
Doesn’t require a large family vehicle or extensive cargo hauling capacity—two seats are adequate.
Appreciates premium craftsmanship, brand heritage and top-tier performance in a convertible form.
Has access to favourable conditions (garage or covered parking) and is comfortable with the costs of ownership of a high-end sports car.

Porsche really shows why it's the best brand around: Amazing cars that will draw the eye of any onlooker, at great prices, and a very very solid post-sale support team. Truly superb!
Want to look good, and impress those around you with a car that's not only fast, but good looking? Look no further than porsche.
Amazing experience, even when buying from home due to covid! James Eadington in particular was a fantastic salesman. Many happy miles with the 718 cayman GTS!
I love the new 911! Have been a Porsche fan for many years. And personally own 2 911’s. True masterpieces of machines.
This is a quick report as Porsche ownership is very subjective. Have owned an older Porsche Boxster since 2013, and must mention its easily the best car I have ever owed in 40 years. Mine's old, but its like an old race horse, it might be old but its still a race horse. If your lucky enough to own any Porsche, make the most of it whilst possible, before all vehicles become electric and loose their ability to excite the spirit and imagination.
