How can the government say rear end crashes will be helped by the very tech
How can the government say rear end crashes will be helped by the very technology that will cause them on the other end? Our 2018 Rogue suddenly started braking, with no reason!! We bought it just a month ago. Was driving 30 mph on a neighborhood road. The car made a loud grinding sound and suddenly stopped dead still. No cars in front or back. No metal plates in the road (I’ve heard things like that, or railroad tracks, even small birds, etc. will trigger the faulty sensor and cause the brakes to engage!). This is a known issue. And is very dangerous and could be deadly. The dealership says they have received no information on this from Nissan, although we have found bulletins issued several times and have printed them out. People will be killed because of this bad technology.

I recently traded in my 2012 Nissan Versa for a 2015 Nissan Versa Note with the Woodfield Nissan dealership in Schaumburg, IL. There was a promotion being run in the Spring wherein Nissan was paying a few months worth of monthly lease payments if satisfied customers were willing to buy or lease another Nissan from the company. I went to the dealership and drove off in my new car. I asked MULTIPLE TIMES, when I traded in my vehicle, if they needed to inspect the car before accepting it in order to properly negotiate my new price/payment. I was repeatedly told that either it didnt matter or that there was nothing to worry about. There was no further explanation given. I am on my 3rd consecutive Nissan (1st Nissan was purchased used, then 2nd and 3rd were leased new) and my husband also has a Nissan Altima. We have never missed, nor have either of us been late, on one payment. NOT ONE. When my credit was run at the dealership, it came back in the top 12% of everyone in the country. 4 months after leaving the dealership, I received a bill from Vital Recovery Services, apparently the go-to creditors for Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp in the amount of $200-$250. I called Vital Recovery Services and was informed that there was Excessive Damage to my previous lease. I had not received any notice of this debt prior to the letter from Vital Recovery Services. This was the 1st letter I received from Vital Recovery Services. I offered to pay the debt immediately, before even investigating, if (and only if) my failure to pay immediately would cause harm to my credit history and/or credit report. I was told, by two different customer service specialists with Vital Recovery Services, that I would NOT have this debt reported to any credit agencies. After further research, apparently all leases are inspected by an outside company (meaning that the individual dealerships dont have any part in the decision-making process in regards to the condition of the leases turned in). They have a $500 credit for damages that they give to each customer turning in a lease, and I had somehow exceeded this amount by more than $200 (amounting to more than $700 in damages). Now, my MAIN GOAL of my new lease was to get a monthly payment below $200 (which I was able to obtain). So, it stands to reason that a bill for over $200 would cause me distress. But, I am in the process of buying my 1st home so I paid the bill just to remove any chance of having a negative mark on my credit report. I was told that I wouldnt from Vital Recovery Services and thought that would take care of the problem. Even though I searched online and found hundreds and hundreds of dissatisfied customers who were in the same situation of owing Nissan (and by proxy, Vital Recovery Services) hundreds of dollars for unspecified (and according to everyone we spoke to, undocumented, or at least we were not given any detailed information on the documented damages), I still just paid the $200 - $250 debt so that I wouldnt have issues with obtaining the best possible mortgage rate. But, when my mortgage broker/bank put together my mortgage I had to write a detailed explanation of why I had an outstanding/negative mark from Nissan/Vital Recovery on my Credit History Report. Its bad enough that my husband and I, in our early and mid-thirties, have vowed NEVER to purchase a Nissan again in our lives (as I stated above, we already have owned or leased 4 in the past 5 years between the 2 of us), but paying them off without too much of an argument after my first received collection letter STILL didnt remove the ONLY negative mark on my credit report. Typing this very long review of Nissan is fueled by anger, as is the complaints I filed with the BBB against Vital Recovery, Nissan Motors, and Woodfield Nissan. On top of that, our new Versa Note is making some loud noises and I am so livid. Im dreading the day I have to bring the car into the dealership to get it fixed. Hopefully that goes smoothly but I will amend this review as warranted.

I recently purchased a car from a Nissan Dealer and there was no mention about returning the car if you were not satisfied. I emailed the salesman who practically forced me to sign the deal and he has yet to respond. I was satisfied with the car until night time came and realized how important the extra features would have been. There are no power windows, no power locks, no light on the ignition keyhole, not even a mirror on the sun visor. Im basically paying for a 2015 glorified golf cart for the next 6 years. Im not saying I want to walk away completely from the deal because I know how much these clowns value their commission, but Id like to purchase a better car for the money.

I purchased brand new Versa Note in August 2014, from the beginning the car was acting strangely - turning signal didnt work properly, the car was wavering on the road, made all weird cracking sounds and after every long ride, burning smell was coming out from left and rights tires. I brought it to Nissan services, but they couldnt determine the problem. I dont know anything about the cars, but can tell that eventually part of the axle was changed. Two weeks later I was driving back to Nissan with emergency lights on. Car was shaking so badly that I couldnt keep it in one lane. Once they took it on a test drive the wheel fell off!!! And they had to evacuate my car!! No one knows what was the problem, but they decided to replace the whole axle. Thanks God I didnt take a freeway that morning when I was bringing my car to a dealership! I am not satisfied!! I am pissed!! I am upset!! I purchased a new car, because I believed it would give me a sense of safety and security. But actually I got a lemon instead!! Mine and my kids life was put in danger! The car has a bit more than 5.000 miles on it, I am so caring with it, but it is bad. I am afraid to drive it now, even when it is being fixed, one week ago the wheel came off (which I doubt happens on a regular bases), how can I know that one week from now the roof will not be blown away or the car will not explode, or something else!!And another thing - when I cancelled some of my Christmas plans and was ready to go to pick up my car, Nissan representative called me and left a voice mail, saying: Oh, the car is not ready yet, I forgot to tell you that while we were fixing the axle we scratched the bumper... It sounded like they forgot to fill up the tank! I dont know if they are the one who responsible for the wheel falling off (because 2 weeks before it happened they were replacing the bolt) or Nissan just makes lemons, but I want this crap to be resolved! I have never heard or been in such a ridiculous and at the same time stupid and banal situation! I am going to talk to a lawyer. I want you to replace my car, return my money or other options. But I dont want to have any business with your company anymore. It is a big name, but a thin quality level.

I’ve been a loyal Nissan customer nearly 20 years and always had my cars serviced at Nissan dealerships. Most recent bad experience with dealership, car was leaking fluid underneath. I was told it needed new rack and pinion so I told them to do the work. I paid $1,300. I always insisted on new genuine Nissan parts. The dealership replaced with used (re-manufactured), non-Nissan parts (but never told me) and it failed less than 2 months later. The dealership admitted they never got my authorization for used parts but wouldnt do more than just replace it again. How can I trust them now? I called Nisan Consumer Affairs for refund and replacement at no cost to me. I was told they couldnt offer me anything but the repair because my car is too old and out of warranty too long. Also, they told me they are under no obligation to use new genuine Nissan parts to even tell me. Seriously? The dealership is guilty of fraud and they cant do anything to make a 20 year customer happy? Unbelievable. Thats what loyalty gets you, crap. Save yourself the aggravation. Dont buy Nissan.

I have a 39month lease on a Rogue - 4 months before lease end, I had to replace all 4 tires. So I did, at a cost of over $600 from the dealer. And whoever drove the car in/out of the service area put a big scratch on the back corner bumper. I had the lease inspection a few weeks prior to turn-in date and it was noted that the tires were mismatched (they put on H speed rated tires instead of S speed rated) and that I would be charged $628 for new ones plus another $100 to fix the scratch. I called the dealer since they were the ones who put the new tires on (and the scratch). They replaced the four tires with the right speed rating and fixed the scratch. I was assured that everything was taken care of and all I would owe was the disposition fee at that time. And when I turned it in, I was assured again that everything was taken care of. I always serviced the vehicle on time, kept it super clean and even turned it in 7,000 miles under the allotted amount. I got a bill today from NMAC for $1,198.80 for new tires and the scratch, plus the disposition fee. Of course, there is no contact phone number or email on the bill (I did find a number to call via searching the internet). I have contacted my dealer first and can only hope they will help resolve this for me. I am physically sick to my stomach and will never, never, ever lease again (especially from Nissan)!

I first contacted NMAC on Feb 24th, 2014 about a deferral for my loan of my 2013 Nissan Sentra SR because I lost my job. My account # **. I was given a 2 month deferral on my loan that day. The original rep I spoke with said that I needed to sign a document and send it back for their records. I was asked to send the document back before March 4th or my account would be late and I would be assessed a late fee, which I had agreed to. I called back on the Feb 28th because I hadnt received the document yet and it was getting close to the deadline of the account being late and I didnt want to get a late fee. The rep I spoke to on the 28th said the document was sent on the 26th and I should receive it any day. I was also was told the whole process would take 2 days. The rep I spoke with said he was waiving the late fee because of this delay. I asked if the document could be faxed over to me to expedite the process. I was told an original signature was needed so I couldnt get it faxed. Finally on the 6th when I still hadnt received the paperwork, I asked again if the letter could be faxed. At that time I was given a fax number and was told a late fee would be assessed. When I told the rep on the 6th that my late fee was supposed to be waived, she told me the paperwork I was signing specifies I would be responsible for any late fees. I signed the paperwork and faxed it back and also mailed it on the 7th. Im writing this today because I just received the document on March 8th and the envelope was post marked March 3rd which means it wasnt sent out on the 26th like I was told and I was going to be late anyway because of the 2 days it was going to take to process and now there is a late of $22.00. I am requested the late fee be taken off the account effective immediately due to the lack of urgency on the part of NMAC. I am very disappointed with service I have received.

Extremely poor customer service from Nissan UK after reporting numerous faults on my new car (Nissan Note). The local dealer has done their best with no support from the manufacturer. The car has the following problems - front wings have been changed after painting. Windscreen trims loose and fell off. Drive belt replaced due to slipping. Front window trims NS/OS not fitting. Front NS seat base cover keeps coming off. Water leaks into rear OS footwell caused by two seam welds being missed in manufacturing a damaged air vent and dented body panel. Air conditioning pump leaking and no gas but very noisy. I would definitely recommend staying clear of a new Nissan of any type.

My car has been held at Nissan repair shop for 30 days, for a faulty transmission, that a lot of the public has an issue with. I spoke with Nissan customer service (Katey **) on 4/25/2018 case **. I was promised a 2 month credit to my account, for the time lost, and money by not being able to drive my car. I was suppose to receive an email on 4/26/2018 with documents, for this action to proceed with the credit to my account. I NEVER received them yet and its now May 10, 2018. I called customer service today at 6:45 pm, and Jazmine the representative answered with a nasty attitude, consistently asking me for a payment, when Nissan owes me a credit. She began speaking over me, and would not allow me to answer any of her questions. I then requested to speak with a Manager, she put me on hold, then I heard her mumble a under her breath, then she disconnected the call on me. I called back, and I immediately requested a Manager, his name was Chuck, he also answered with a nasty tone, and was basically flipping me, Yeah yeah maam whats your issue. I then asked if they were happy with their jobs, because I am an innocent customer, who does not deserve the DISRESPECT, I have spent nearly 20,000 with this company. I deserve respect and excellent customer service. They should be fired!

I purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue. Brand new. Have no problems until this week. The car wouldnt crank. Replaced battery works fine. Now the radio wont work. Speakers just went out. All the sudden a burst of smoke came from the vents that smelled like burning wiring. Called Nissan my warranty is out. Seen on edmunds.com that a recall is in place as of Jan 28th 2015 but hasnt been mentioned yet. The wiring harness is shorting out and can cause the car to catch fire. And nothing can be done unless I pocket out the 2,000 + grand to get it fixed. You pay 25,000 for a brand new safe car to drive your children around in and this is the repayment. I will never do business with Nissan again.

Ownership of a Nissan is synonymous with dissatisfaction. On March 25, 2019, I purchased a new Nissan Frontier from Jenkins Nissan, Leesburg, FL. After 30 months of ownership and only 14,058 miles, it had an obvious manufacturing defect. Namely, the paint started peeling off at nearly every weld spots on the fenders and the bed rail of the vehicle. They did determine that this is a “warranty issue.” On August 11, 2021, Jenkins Nissan Leesburg, Florida service personnel told me the peeling was indeed caused by the weld spots, but they did nothing except tell me to take the Nissan Frontier to Reed Nissan Clermont, Florida because they (Jenkins Nissan) didnt have a body shop. I contacted Nissan Customer Services on August 15, 2021 to determine where I should take the vehicle to fix the manufacturing defect. On August 24, 2021, I was finally contacted by *** from Nissan Customer Services and she told me to take it to any Nissan Dealer to file the report to the Warranty Department for this region. On August 31, 2021, I had an appointment with Reed Nissan Clermont, Florida. Reed Nissan Clermont sent me to Reed Nissan Orlando because they didnt have a body shop either. On September 7, 2021, I had an appointment with Reed Nissan Orlando, Florida. They inspected my car, took pictures and told me that they were filing a report and that I would hear something that day, fact is their words were, you should hear something within an hour. That hear something within an hour comment has now turned into several weeks. Finally on their advice on October 7, 2021, I took my Nissan Frontier to Reed Nissan Orlando to get it repaired. Only, that didn’t happen because Reed Nissan failed to file the claim. After much pressure from me, Reed Nissan filed the report. Finally, on October 29, 2021 the Nissan Frontier was repaired. It took 79 (seventy nine) days from the time of my complaint to get the vehicle fixed., I believe the Nissan Frontier is a very competitive vehicle but the three Nissan dealer’s LACK knowledge of filing a warranty issue claim is unacceptable. Had this been an engine failure or a transmission failure, I would have been without the vehicle for 79 days or 11 days shy of three months.

After taking very good care of my 2008 Nissan Altima, I reached the end date of my lease and returned the car to the dealership from whom I took out the original lease agreement, Bridgewater Nissan in Bridgewater New Jersey. The dealer accepted my car and I moved on. Then, I received a letter from NMAC telling me that I owed Nissan $2,167.61! The letter stated that due to Excess Wear And Use, they were assessing me this fee. Now, so as to avoid the appearance of editorializing, heres a few facts on what really happened: 1) I was not present when the actual inspection was done; 2) I took great care of the car during the time I leased (e.g. always garaged) and I put 4 brand new tires on before I turned it in and 3) there is no way of knowing how NMAC arrived at the charges listed on the letter. The only conclusion one can draw is that (as others on this site have asserted), this is simply a way for Nissan to create new revenue streams during a time when American cars are in the ascendancy. So, lesson learned - from now on, I will only be buying/leasing vehicles from reputable sources such as Ford and GM and not from duplistic makers such as Nissan!

We purchased a luxury vehicle through NMAC for the past year and they are terrible. I have been paying the same price for 2 years with no drop in payment. When I asked about it they fixed it. The next month I was late with a payment and it went back to the previous price with no explanation. I spoke with a so called supervisor, to which I was told it went back to that price because I miss a payment. That makes no sense. They have held my payment and also lost my payments and also applied my payment to someone elses account. We recently moved and needed them to send the title to the new state so we could register our car. Problem this was after calling her every few days to see where it was. This left us with an unregistered vehicle for 10 days. I called back and then I was told that they will not send the copy of the title until the payment is made. They should have said this from the start when I contacted them, 10 days ago. Was told that all the fax machine in the company were down after I wanted to speak to a manager about the rep lying about the fax. But I had my friend at the dealer send a fax and they received it. In summary--THEY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING I HAVE SENT THEM, and it is apparently not their problem. After changing my address with them 4 times over the phone it was never updated, until 2 months later. Now Im still waiting after another 6 weeks and speaking with 13 different people for the title to be sent. Will never ever deal with this company again!!

I have received one statement in the 5 months I have now had the car. I have not received one email, correspondence, or phone call from these people. I was not late in January for a payment and they lied and reported to the credit bureaus that I never made a payment in January when I paid $465 on 1/10/13. And then on 2/1/13, I made another payment which was supposed to be on 1/31/13 and then 2 payments in February as well on 2/23/13. They suck as a car manufacturer and as a lien holder. There was a reason that I had never purchased a car from them after 10 years ago and now I know why. I had leased a car with them for 7 months and got rid of it and now, after 5 months, I am ready to get rid of this car too. The fact is that it is a piece of crap and so is the company. With MUCH regret, my husband and I purchased a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder from Pinnacle Nissan in Scottsdale, AZ. I went to that dealership November 2018 thinking I was going to get a Black Friday special, but instead got ripped off. The salesperson stated the pearl color would be an extra charge and we agreed to pay the extra. When I came back to pick the vehicle up because they had to order that color they said, a pure white Nissan Pathfinder was waiting for me. I argued back and forth with the sales manager at that time, and he stated the vehicle I was receiving does not come in Pearl white. I mean they got their sale, so who cares about the color right? I wish to God, I would have just walked away, but I drove off in the white Nissan Pathfinder. In addition, we thought we were purchasing an extended warranty up to 100K miles the reason our payment was outrageous. We were ok with that knowing we would have coverage for a while. The finance guy also talked us into some paint package. I returned to Pinnacle about a year or so later (it should be in the records) to get the paint touch up coverage (not sure of the exact name). We were not given any instructions other than we have that coverage and weve never purchased it with any other vehicles. So, I pull up to the service dept at Pinnacle and was met by the rudest person Ive encountered in a while. He said your car is dirty! Theres a car wash down the street! Go and come back! Well, I was under the impression they would wash it at the dealership, and I was in a hurry on a Saturday with a lineup of errands. I did as he barked out for me to do and returned the vehicle. Pinnacle, please work on your customer service! Its important! I then visit ABC Nissan in Phoenix, AZ in 2021. The second row would not collapse, and we were told it was not covered by the warranty. What? A 2018 with coverage up to 100K miles? Well, guess what, we are NOT covered up to 100K miles. Not sure how we got swindled into paying an outrageous car payment with little to no warranty coverage? So, I call my nice “go to” service advisor Tyler at Coulter Nissan in Surprise, AZ immediately tried to help me and said he could do a one time goodwill coverage. I didn’t go to him in the first place because I was close to ABC Nissan at the time and somehow thought I would receive good service at any Nissan dealership! Tyler is SO awesome and is the ONLY one who represents Nissan well. Tyler said that ABC Nissan could also use the good will coverage so I wouldnt have to move my car from ABC to Coulter. The salesperson at ABC was horrible and kept quoting different pick-up times for when the vehicle would be ready. This was very important as I was traveling from Phoenix back home to California on tight time restrictions for work. The manager at ABC Nissan, Anthony **, finally intervened and tried to hurry the techs along as the salesperson shouldnt have called and said the vehicle was ready if it wasnt! I was in tears and extremely frustrated at this point as I was given 3 different times the vehicle would be ready. Anthony gave me money to go get lunch and to stall for the technicians to hurry and finish the job that was promised hours before my arrival. After several months, my daughter noticed a bolt sticking up in the seat and the seat belt would not work! We were not surprised there were more problems with this Nissan vehicle! I took the vehicle to Pedder Nissan in Hemet, CA. The technician/manager there stated the bolt was never put back properly by ABC Nissan! Whhaatt?? How dangerous?? ABC Nissan must have rushed to get the car out and carelessly did not put the bolt back properly. I should have taken pictures, but Im sure Pedder Nissan has some. The tech at Pedder was kind enough to fix the bolt at no charge. They provided good customer service as I showed up with no appointment and he got me in quickly.More problems with this new Nissan Pathfinder! Apparently, there is some known CVT issue with the Nissan Pathfinder. This issue/dash/radio would go in and out in my vehicle and was random when the dash/radio would work. I took the vehicle to Temecula Nissan where Alex Campagna assisted me. Apparently, Alex was not aware of the CVT issue? He told me they could not help me unless the dash/radio was actually not functioning at the time the vehicle was in their possession. Of course, when I took it to Temecula Nissan, the dash worked fine. I drove away from Temecula Nissan with no resolution! I go to visit in Phoenix again and I can ALWAYS rely on Tyler at Coulter Nissan. He knew exactly what I was talking about before I could even get it out good! He immediately helped me and was able to charge a minimum fee to fix it. Whenever Im at Coulter and dealing with Tyler, I always feel safe and do not worry about getting taken advantage of! Tyler is just a good person and a good representation of Nissan. I shouldn’t have to go to another state to hope for good customer service from a Nissan dealership! I wish I had purchased our recent vehicle from Coulter, but thought we were getting some special deal at Pinnacle. Worst mistake of our lives! Maybe some internal training is needed throughout Nissan for consistent customer service, complete/accurate work, and knowledge of recalls! I would love to have the Pearl Nissan Pathfinder I originally hoped for, but in the meantime, Tyler has helped make my regrets of dealing with Pinnacle Nissan, ABC Nissan, and Temecula Nissan a little better.

I bought a 2006 Nissan Titan in 2009 with 45K miles on it. I loved the truck up until 80K miles (go figure, right when the warranty expires. Coincidence?). Just after 80K, I started having significant trouble with the front end of the vehicle shaking when I would come to a stop. I replaced the rotors and 3K miles later same problem. At 90K miles, I went to have my oil changed and tires rotated and found out I had both rear axle seals leaking very badly, a common problem amongst Titans ($600 to repair). Now, heres the big one. I started noticing a high pitched ticking sound from the exhaust. Come to find out, I had two cracked exhaust manifolds. This caused an inspection to fail, decreased horsepower, decreased fuel mileage and exhaust fumes to enter inside the cab of the truck! Cost to repair is $3,000. I did my research and it looks like everyone who owns an 04 - 07 Titan has the exact same problem. Nissan will not issue a recall for this problem and refuses to pay for the repair, even though I drive to work every day with headaches, dry eyes and nauseated from the carbon monoxide. They could care less. Funny thing is they changed the exhaust system in the 08 Titans so obviously they knew there was a problem, but still refused to fix it. Now, Im stuck with a truck that I cant get rid of because of the exhaust leak. Im trading the Titan in for a Tundra. Toyota takes care of their customers. They just wrote a check to my brother for over $9,000 because his 99 Tacoma had a rusted frame. This trucks blue book value was $5,500. I will never, I repeat, never buy another Nissan product and I will continue to bash them to everyone I know who is in the market for another vehicle. Nissans are a joke! Learn how to take care of your customers or you will pay for it in the long run! I seriously hope Nissan goes bankrupt. And with the customer service they have, its not a far stretch!

After a month taking it into the dealership, I contacted the dealer and found out they failed ordering the part. I bought my Titan new and had the usual rotor problem and the rear axle end seals blowing out. Nissan fixes the rotor issue without problems. The axle end seal happened at 76,000 miles, just 1,000 miles out of warranty but after many complaints to corporate, they agreed to pay half. This fix lasted about 4,000 miles, Instead of repeating the repair, I chose to use a thicker viscosity rear end lube from Lucas. I also had to replace the radiator but that is common on all vehicles now that radiators are plastic. If you’re wondering why I give this truck 4 stars, I almost gave it 5 stars, this truck had 355,000 miles on it when I traded it in 2013. Those issues listed above are the only problems I had with this truck and it still ran like a new truck when I traded. The engine and transmission were beasts. I attribute the performance of this Titan to changing my oil every 20 to 25,000 miles with Amsoil and Ea filters. I would have bought another Titan at trade but needed better mpg. Traded for a Ram 1500 4wd and it now has 270,000 using Amsoil.

As I tried to explain, they refused because we are not on contract and they refused to talk to me.My civil rights were violated. Nissan Acceptance Corp improperly repossessed my vehicle. Me, my wife and children are without transportation and also money that I have receipts for.

2008 Nissan Versa CVT Problem. I am crying right now. I do not know what I am going to do. The other day I was driving and took my girlfriend home and the gas light came on. It was late and me being a woman decided to get gas the next day. So I did but when I was half way out of my apts the gas pedal quit working. I thought I had run out of gas so I had to go about 5 miles an hour over across the street to the gas station. Put gas in it and it drove fine and to the grocery store right up the street. On my way home it ran fine and when I turned into my apts the gas pedal quit working again. I have it in a shop for about two weeks and they tell me they cannot figure out what is wrong. They believe it is the CVT. They said it was just a fluke that about me being low of gas that this doesnt have anything to do with it. That it is getting plenty of gas but the transmission isnt receiving the information or something like that.I just got online and have seen over 800 different complaints about the CVT on these Nissans. My life is over if it is the transmission. I am on disability and 65 years old. I barely make it as it is. If I do not have a vehicle I cannot go to my doctor or to the grocery store. I have no family. God what am I gonna do. Does anyone know where I can file a complaint at least. So maybe in the future people will see it and not buy a Nissan and be stuck walking like me. Why doesnt Nissan make good on these. Why??

Worse Purchase Ever!!!! I bought a brand new 2014 Altima as a graduation gift for myself in 2014. Within a year my transmission had to be completely replaced as well as my computer. Recently my air went out. The dealership informed me my Air compressor was bad and I was out of warranty. When I complained about the car I was told Sometimes they just have bad parts and there was nothing I could do but pay for the repair. I told them I felt they sold me a lemon and was told its the companys problem and not the dealership.

I am a current leaser of a Nissan Murano since November of last year. On June 2011, my automatic payment was withdrawn ahead of time, giving me difficulties with my budget. I spoke with a representative and canceled the automatic payments. On July 3, 2011, I sent a check of $831.93 to cover two months payments. However, for unknown reason check was delayed and I was receiving calls from different representatives everyday. On July 13, I got tired of the calls so I paid by phone and told them if they receive a check, do not cash it. On July 14, they cashed they check with the same amount, making my account go overdraft. On Friday, I spoke to Elvira, she told me I was going get the money back the next day, nothing happened. The next week I called with my complaint but people put me on hold and never came back to the line.I spoke with supervisor Darling and she told me I was gonna have my check the next day. Two days passed-by, nothing happened. I was hungry, with no transportation no money for food or gas and my account was overdraft. I called and spoke with Tamy, Megan, Steven, Carla, Karen, Rick and nobody did anything. I have struggled with no money. For almost two weeks everyday they said tomorrow you will receive a check. I reported to Consumer Affairs, it was useless. After almost 2 weeks I received my refund check, but no check for the overdrafts. The supervisors Rick and Darling, promised me that they will refund me the overdrafts. I checked my bank statement but nothing until now. I keep on calling them, they are never at the office. Representatives told me they gonna contact them and return my phone call and nothing. I am so disappointed at Nissan, this situation has put me on 2 weeks struggle of food, gas and transportation. Representatives of Nissan have ignored my complaints and lied to me, made fun of me with false statement, and put my economy in jeopardy. I will submit my complaint of this horrible action to any Nissan web site and complaints site as well if I do not receive a result.

Bought this truck about a year ago. Nissan charged me $31000 plus financing
Bought this truck about a year ago. Nissan charged me $31000 plus financing and extended warranty up to $45000! Tires were crap. Had to buy new ones @ 40,000K which should have been covered under extended warranty... No tire sensor in the spare tire so if you rotate with the spare your low tire light stays on. Thing rides very uncomfortable... Is it the wheel base or the suspension? Dont know but it feels like there are no shocks at all! Took it in for service lately @ around 60,000 just bought new tires and that service had the wheel alignment package. Anyway there was a problem. My low tire, traction control & 4 X 4 was disabled and the warning lights were on prior to the service about 2 weeks, so I stated the problem on the service order and let them know I was hearing grinding in one of the front wheels and I figured that was the source of the disabled safety features. The service tech said that one of the sensors in the back wheel was damaged and had to be replaced and he somehow determined that we had hit something and damaged it and it was not covered under warranty and wanted $500 for the part, even though it should have been covered under extended warranty! We refused to pay for the part and insisted that we would take it up with the warranty dept. so the tech did not address the original stated problem. He said until we repair the sensor the error code would prevent them from detecting other errors. By this statement I assumed that he obviously did not check out the original stated problem visually either! So he discontinued all other service work till we agreed to pay for the part... so we left... all safety systems disabled. Steaming mad cause the warranty dept was not getting back to us. 2 days later just after Christmas 2013 I rolled the truck into the ditch on an icy back road, injuring myself and my girlfriend and writing-off the truck due to the disabled safety features!

I leased a Nissan Altima in 2006 and made all lease payments until the lease expired. The dealer that originally took the lease went out of business. I was told to continue payments and complied. In 2012 I was told that the payoff was $3,000. I continued to make the payments until that amount and more was reached. I have now been told that I still have to make the payments even though the total payoff has been made. All I want is my title so that the vehicle can be sold. Tonight I find myself online drafting a lawsuit against Nissan because they are still trying to charge me for the vehicle even though I have held up my end of the deal. Somehow they feel that because the dealer went out of business, I am obligated to pay indefinitely for this vehicle. Consumer Affairs at Nissan has been of no use. There is obviously no oversight at this company.

I purchased my 2017 Nissan Murano on 2/27/17 from Frank Fletcher Nissan, Joplin MO. Prior to 5/8/18 (I do not have this date or who I spoke with at Fletchers) but I stated to them when my husband drove the car and placed his arm leaning on the center console the drivers seat would rub against the console causing this annoying squeaking that was continuous until he changed positions. I was asked if my husband was a bigger man and I said yes 63 230 lbs but what does that have to do with it? He stated they have had several complaints about this and all the men were larger. I said that is no reason for the seat to squeak! We had other vehicles & not ever had this issue. So on 5/8/18 I took my car in and the service dept said they could and I agreed to let them install washers to tilt seat slightly and prevent rubbing. This seemed to work briefly but then it started again. Nothing like before but still it should not be happening. So I went back again to report it. This is my 1st brand new car and this should not be the way it is & I have never had a car that had this issue and I am sure I could have bought any other car & not had this issue. So I said if you cant fix it who should I speak with that might be able to assist me and at that time he gave me the 1-800-nissan-1 #. On 6/6/18 I contacted the 800 Nissan consumer affairs and the person I spoke with said they will send case to regional consumer affairs specialist to get in contact with dealer and investigate giving me a case # ** from agent #**. on 6/8/18 I spoke with regional affairs rep and he had authorized technical resource to talk with Fletchers and that my car was under warranty so call and make an appointment to take my car in. 6/8/18 I called Fletcher for an appt. They said they will need my car 1/2 day but he will get ahold of Regional consumer affairs and find out how to get set up with tech. 6/11/18 Fletchers called. Will get tech line assistance with them to get help on resolving problem. Appt set for Wed, 6/20/18, 10 a.m. 6/20/18 took car to Fletcher Nissan Joplin, MO. Service manager said will contact tech line and see what they can do. He came back to get me in just a short amount of time and said I could take car and he would call me to bring it back in once tech line calls them back to let him know how to resolve. On 6/29/18 I receive a call from Fletchers customer service dept asking if my problem was resolved to my satisfaction and I said no and explained I was still waiting to hear back from service dept at which time she transferred me over to the head of the service dept. The man said he had spoke with tech line and they were not to modify seat or replace it. He was told it is a characteristic of this vehicle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! At which time I told him I would NEVER purchase another Nissan again and it is a shame because my sister bought one just like mine because I liked mine so much until this and now they will never buy another Nissan either. I called 800 Nissan back and spoke with agent #** and asked for a supervisor. He said he will have a supervisor call me back no later than tomorrow. He did have me explain to him my issue so it could be noted prior to supervisor calling me back. 7/12/18 a supervisor called, left a message on my phone and said the dealership provided me with correct information. The vehicle is operating as designed and it is a normal characteristic. They will follow up with me tomorrow to make sure I received this message.7/16/18 Sammie called and I was not where I could talk so told her I would call her back Tuesday at 10 a.m. She gave me her direct #. 7/17/18 Sammie called me back at 9:40 a.m. Said all she could do was restate what I had been told which was it is a characteristic of this vehicle. I said I knew of other people per Fletcher dealership in Joplin that are having this same problem but I also know it is not every car since my sister bought the same vehicle due to my recommendation and hers does not do this so how can you consider this a characteristic. She once again said it is a characteristic of this vehicle. Call was ended! Case # ** 7/17/18 I called Sammie back. Left message to call me back - no return call. 7/18/18 called her again leaving another message with my # to please return my call and to this day still have not received a return call.

Shame on Nissan! I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated. My steering lock control unit went out and even though there was a petition to get this part recalled I had to pay for the part. It was past the warranty, but I was told that if I took my car to a dealership, I would get a fair review of my case by Megan, the regional consumer affairs specialist, in hopes of warranty assistance. She denied my claim in part because my 2009 Altima had not been to a dealership since 2011, implying that I was not a loyal customer. Why would I take my car to a dealership if there isnt any repairs that need to be done on it? I have owned FIVE , Nissans and bought 1 brand new car and 1 used car from Suntrup, not to mention personal recommendations. I have paid Nissan upwards of $40,000. If that isnt customer loyalty I dont know what is. Complaints have filed with the BBB, FTC, and NHTSA.

Nissan is, by far, one of the worst companies in terms of customer satisfaction. You can clearly see it from all negative reviews. Nissan is pretty much done with you once they were able to secure your money. Please stay away from Nissan with a clear margin. Ive bought my car 4 years ago and I take my car to the certified dealer (Royal Moore Nissan Hillsboro) couple of times a year for regular maintenance and any major work needed. I was hoping that my car would last, as long as a certified technician touches it. Obviously, I was too naive. I took my car to another dealer (CARR Nissan). They told me that my car has not been touched for years. This is only 1 month after my visit to the Royal Moore with full service.Ive complained to the Nissan consumer department. Their answer was that they cannot do anything about it and that I need to close with the dealer. The dealer is certified by Nissan but Nissan cannot guarantee the best service. The dealer obviously does not care about the customer satisfaction. That is why I sought help from corporate Nissan. For me, this is not how you treat a customer if he/she is willing to spend ~20K on your car.

Just because I didnt have Hackensack Nissan Dealer write down the deal they were offering when I went to the dealer, a debt collector is after me now. When I leased the Sentra back in March 2012 from Hackensack Nissan dealer in New Jersey, I had a lot of months left for the previous Altima. When I told a sales associate about it, two people at the dealer said, Okay. Well take care of it, and no other explanation. And of course, they didnt write it down and they let me switch to Sentra with some benefits. The benefits were a lower monthly payment and free maintenance for the life of the lease. The dealer said I was set. And this was the first day for the particular sales associate. A month later, he quit. So there was nobody other than me who knows what exactly happened. Also, this sales associate held on to my personal belongings from the old Altima. He quit without returning them to me.When I called Lou **, general sales manager, for the quitters contact info, he gave me a cell phone number that belonged to somebody else. So the employer didnt even have his employees contact information correct. A few weeks later, I started getting calls from the debt collector. I thought it was the early lease termination fee and I thought it should be taken care of by the Hackensack Nissan dealer. So I went to the dealer many times to see what was going on. There was absolutely no explanation of the situation by them. Instead, they told me to watch out for some mails which I need to bring to them. Of course, the alleged mail never arrived. This happened twice. And when I went to the dealer for the last time, Chris **, the general manager (he also quit a month later) and Freddie **, a sales associate, told me that they sent a partial payment for the Altima to Nissan but there was still a remaining balance. Both of them told me that the Altima was being auctioned now. So when they receive the money for Altima, they can pay everything off. And Freddie ** clearly told me that he didnt want to help me because I was rude. Also, he denied signing on the paper with the series of events I wrote down to record what happened at the dealer. When I called the dealer a month later to see if the payment was made, an accounting person, not the general manager or the sales associate, told me that the sales associate requested Nissan to waive the remaining amount and he was waiting for a reply from Nissan. After this, there is no correspondence with the Hackensack dealer. So they just left me with more than $3,000 debt to Nissan with no explanation by the dealer. In October, it was a rude woman from the Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation that told me the collector was requesting the remaining balance of Altima, and not the early lease termination fee.And as long as I dont have a paper to prove that the dealer is responsible for the amount, I should be responsible. If the dealer had told me originally that I would still be responsible for the Altima, I wouldnt have changed the car in the first place. Why would I have to switch a 2011 brand new Altima to a Sentra? But the dealer didnt explain to me. They never even mentioned that I had to pay for the Altima. And there are only verbal correspondence between me and the dealer. Oh, and after talking to Mr. ** at the Department of loss and recovery, I found out the $3,000 is the early lease termination fee and not the remaining balance of the Altima. Honestly, I lost count of all the lies they made to me. In the past 8 months, I was ridiculed and lied to numerous times.Mr. ** at the Department of Loss and Recovery told me that I didnt understand whats going on because of the language barrier I have. Mr. ** also at the Department of Loss and Recovery clearly said it was my fault to trust Nissan. And he was chuckling on the phone. Its sad how I end up like this after being a loyal customer for over 18 years. But I guess Nissan doesnt care about the old customers. I cant wait to return the Sentra and leave this company for good. To all the people here, my thoughts are with you. We just crossed our paths with deceitful people and company. Dont be fooled or preyed on by them ever again in your life.

I own an Altima and the drivers and passenger sides floor boards are rusting through, as well as my flex pipe that connects to the catalytic converter. Last but not least, oil pan is also rusting through. This seems to be a defect with Nissan, yet they will not take ownership of the issue. After much research, I found that I am not the only consumer who has this issue. No one can tell me that after only 7 years that this is normal for a car to rust like this. I also own a 2000 Chevy that has not rusted like my Nissan. On top of my car being a rust bucket, it also has an issue where if you move my car a few feet and turn it off, it will not start. I have brought it to a local Nissan dealer for this issue and was told nothing was wrong with my car. Again, after researching this issue, it also seems to be a problem with the 06 Altima that Nissan will not take ownership of. I will never buy another Nissan again!

I acquired my 2015 Rouge SL (premium package) this Spring. It has now has 3,000 miles on it and it has been in the Nissan shop for a new computer system and a new transmission thus far. It was in the dealership shop from May 27th -June 18th. I was told my new transmission was on back order until mid July. When I requested that they then needed to take back my new car and exchange it for a new one because they have had it for over 30 days, Nissan mysteriously bumped up my car in line and it was completed on the 18th of June making it only 22 days. I requested that they replace my car as it is obviously compromised and defective. It is not running at 3,000 miles. How am I to expect it to run at 70,000 miles? They said no. I then requested a 150,000 mile bumper to bumper extended warranty to ensure it would continue to run. They again said no but offered a 100,000 mile warranty that only covered the transmission, not the defective computer system, etc.. Again I say how can I count on my car to run at 70,000 or even 50,000 miles when it doesnt run at 3,000? There are multiple things wrong with this car, including the extremely expensive computer system that they are not addressing. The Nissan Corp has been extremely difficult to work with and they refuse to take back their defective product or stand behind the product.

I notified Carriage Nissan in Gainesville Georgia and was told it must be a loose gas cap. I was told to continue to drive the car. After 1 week and 700 miles, I took the car in for service and was told I need a new transmission.I contacted Nissan Consumer affairs and stated my displeasure and asked specifically that the car be replaced. After about 15 days, I was notified by Nissan that they would extend the car warranty to 8 years/120k miles with a gold preferred package and Oil/ Gas/Tire rotation service package for 2 years. It was more or less a take it or leave it proposition. I was leasing Nissan/Leaf 3 years. When I called to return instructions at end of the 3 year lease, they offered to extension on one year (with first 3 payments waiver) but they reported to all three credit bureaus 60 days payment late, and when I found it they credited payments as per agreement but my credit profile shows 60 days late not removed from credit bureaus Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. No response from Nissan. My credit score went down so bad I am not able to get pass any credit check. The incorrect 60 days late payment impacting my consumer finance and credit profile.

We purchased this Frontier SV 4X4 King Cab new in 2011. Other than standard maintenance there have been no issues. I change the oil every 5 to 6,000 miles. It might use a half quart of oil in that time. We tow with it occasionally, We haul Mulch. The truck has 78,000 miles on it. I can not complain. I would purchase another one if I could get it with a manual transmission.

I learned there is a recall on my transmission that went out 3 months after I purchased the car. I called Nissan North America and they told me I could not get any assistance in getting my transmission fixed. They said because I had a salvage title and non Nissan parts on my car. That was a lie. Then they told me it was because I am out of the mile range. I have documentation when I was in mileage range of the replacement that there was nothing wrong but needed a flush. Went and got one and then they documented that it needed a new one.Their store told me call them. They should help me replace it. I called and they said Sorry you are over miles. Cant do anything? The worst possible customer service ever. I would never purchase another Nissan again. Horrible!!! Nissan is so great and backs their products up. Well I surely am not seen it. There are many complaints about this and theyre doing nothing. It should be illegal! I guess it is going to take someone getting seriously hurt or killed in one of these cars for them to want to do anything. Very disappointed in Nissan!!

The promotion is a complete failure. I am unable to register or to log in; the instructions in the Internet are to enter either the pin code or the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), while the instruction on the colorful mailing is to enter the pin code and repair order invoice. Also, on the mailing is an instruction to scan to enter. The local employees in S. Burlington are completely uninformed of the sweepstakes. Repeated phone calls to the local office are either not answered, or unanswered by people with no knowledge of the sweepstakes. I called a number once asking for help; a man answered saying there was a problem, but he managed to enter my registration. On the second try, neither my registration nor log in information would work. If Nissan is going to run a sweepstake, it should be done with much more care.

I submitted an earlier complaint and the complaint was closed after three messages left when my phone number provided was not working (because my home phone works off the internet). My internet was down for a couple of days and towers were not working properly in my area to allow signal to my home. After this was explained, left on numerous and countless messages, emails and voicemails with Mrs. ** with Nissan Consumer Affairs who was handling the case at the time. I received absolutely no response from Mrs. ** and her reply was she no longer handles Nissan consumer vehicle complaints. I spoke with them very respectfully and explained; I will be resubmitting a complaint due to lack of multiple communication issues in not receiving a call back or response from said date 5/7/2015 up to 5/18/2015 regarding the various issues and in the handling of previous Case # **, and how quickly it was closed. The vehicle safety concerns and issues are my number one priority and should be Nissans as well. Mrs. ** responded that will be fine and maybe we can handle it appropriately, readdress issues and concerns, with proper documentation. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RE-SUBMIT COMPLAINT DUE TO ERROR MESSAGE FROM NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIR REPLYING MY NAME IS WRONG AND REJECT MY EMAIL NOW which reads Access Denied. You dont have permission to access http://www.nissanusa.com/apps/contactus on this server. Reference **I have tried to resubmit the complaint numerous times once again and it is unaccepted. I felt Nissan was not able to make an appropriate assessment and determination based on lack of information theyd received and lack of communication in handling of this matter by the person Nissan assigned to this complaint. New issues have since arise. I am trying to resubmit another complaint too and maybe this time with my personal office number being provided will avoid lack of communication and we can fully address the safety issues I am presently having and been having with this vehicle, 2012 Nissan Versa since purchase date at CarMax in White Marsh. The brake pedal is now fluttering and the seat belt just locks for no reason while driving. My vehicle has been parked and I am driving another family vehicle. In addition to this complaint, I am contacting you because I have been experiencing and have been experiencing serious safety problems with 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan make and model. Although, I realize Nissan makes some of the greatest vehicles. The 2012 Nissan Versa I purchased I noticed has very serious safety issues that began the day I purchased this vehicle at Carmax, White Marsh, MD lot. After pleading with Carmax to take this vehicle back for a year and 1/2 they would not allow me to give the vehicle back to them the day I purchased it. The problems with the vehicle upon purchase of the vehicle were brakes did not work properly at all. Carmax attempted to fix brakes 3-4 times, pedal would not work and often get stuck, defrost does work and takes a very long time and during rainy conditions it doesnt work at all forcing me to roll down windows to clear them, noise coming from around side view mirrors, freezing of both side view rear mirrors during winter and freezes during driving in cold conditions, vehicle is unable to sustain any type of wind or rain conditions and Ive literally shifted into another lane numerous times while driving on the highway, over a bridge, and even on the street, if a truck or someone passes me at high speed 65-75 I easily shift out of lane-position.Paint job was very poor-scratched terribly, body is very weak and fragile, no matter what hits my vehicle a pebble cracked the glass, a slight hit will hugely dent the vehicle and has, rear window in the passenger rear side will not go up and down properly at all. I have submitted endless complaints regarding my vehicle and I am very dissatisfied with this make and model; believe I may own a defective model because there are too many issues with my vehicle. I dont know what happen with this vehicle but the safety issues I experience regularly really concern me and the family I have ride with me. Please let me know what you can do to address these serious concerns. After two years of battling with Carmax Corporate Office for a year 1/2 to take this vehicle back; I am now contacting the manufacturers of this vehicle. The vehicle I purchased is not safe and has not been since the day I purchased it. I have been in 3 different accidents. The first week after complaints were made and I purchased it I was unable to properly brake and ran into the back of the vehicle a week into owning it after reporting the brakes were not properly working. I pulled into a parked car and could not maneuver appropriately into a parking lot and hit a parked car as the pedal locked on me and brake would not work properly. There are multiple dings, hits, scratches, dents because vehicle was not properly painted. A two year vehicle looks like I owned it 20 years. My concerns and safety issues are not being taken seriously and believe if Carmax would have notified you of this something would have been done a lot sooner to address these issues instead of being taken advantage of during purchase of this vehicle. My younger children nor my husband wish to get into my vehicle because the serious safety concerns they have and also experienced with me while riding with me in 2012 Nissan Versa. I think Nissan makes excellent cars. Just this one has multiple defects. Please contact me with ideas or a solution you may have to fully address these issues. I look forward to trying to resolve these issues. Thank you for your time and attention to this complex and serious matter. In kind I have been patience, respectful only to be met with NO RESPONSE and NOW UNABLE TO RESUBMIT COMPLAINT FOR PROPER HANDLING!

I sign for my daughter to have a new car for college. My daughter had a flat. I told her to take it to Kia, we bought the Gap Ins. The service dept told her that it was not covered so I told them just to put the spare on. Come to find out there was no spare or kit in the new vehicle. Well I was very upset about that. I should have been told that. Anyway, I call Consumer Affairs to report it, I talk to Bruce and he told me to email him my receipt and he would refund me for a new tire or kit. I emailed Bruce on July 29, 2014 and I have been getting the runaround ever since. Well they just lost a customer for a $106.00 dollars and now Bruce, I will be too busy telling everyone about how Great your customer Service Skills are.

I have been a heavily vested customer of the Nissan Product since 2005, being a Army veteran I have learned that many decisions are made quickly without complete information. My first Nissan that I purchased was a New NISSAN 2005 Pathfinder, my second new purchase was a New 2008 Nissan Xterra, my third New vehicle was a 2009 Nissan Sentra (this purchase was co signed with my mother Terry ** - I still drive this Nissan today with over 100K miles ) and my fourth New Vehicle is a 2014 Nissan Sentra. I provided this information so that you can confirm that I have been a committed customer of your product and the reason I have stood by the Nissan product is due to not only the reliability, dependability and low maintenance of the Vehicles but more importantly we are a family on a fixed budget like many families and having a low maintenance cost vehicle is that more important to us. We live in the great hot state of Florida the city of Orlando and having an AC unit that works properly in our vehicle is a crucial component. Our 2014 Nissan only has 34,216 miles on it - yes it is outside of the warranty for the years but the mileage average is less than 10K a year and no one would expect the AC compressor to go bad with such low mileage in a Nissan Product, my 2009 Sentra still blows cold air with over 100K mileage. Up until now I have had no issues with any of the Four Nissan Vehicle that we have purchased and its shocking to me to have a major component go bad with only 34,000 miles driven. Yesterday I paid $160.39 to have the vehicle diagnosed and confirmed to have a bad compressor by my local Nissan dealership. I believe Nissan should really stand by their product and Recommend Goodwill and replace the bad unit free of charge to me for such an unusual circumstance.

On August 5th I wrote a review concerning my tires on the 2014 Nissan Altima with only 11000 miles on the tires. The follow-up review is that I notified Nissan company about this problem and in turn they reimbursed me the amount of the new tires that I bought. I informed them that they needed to drop the continental Tires from their new cars because of the safety issues concerning them. Because of this decision from Nissan to reimburse me for my new tires I was continue to be a loyal Nissan customer although will never buy another car with a Continental tire on it.

I am the unproud owner of a 2013 Nissan Juke. This is my 4th vehicle and I have never experienced such issues out of a vehicle previously. First, I will say the vehicle doesnt even have 150,000 miles and but all issues (except the newest one) were all before hitting 100,000 miles. To start, I have gone through three cylinder replacements and thought the transmission was going to have to be replaced (luckily that bullet has been dodged so far). I believe all replacements were for misfires. These were all out of pocket and hundreds of dollars each time. Now my vehicle is sitting in a repair shop because the parts of the undercarriage are starting to rust. The best part is I went to get an inspection sticker and as the man turned my steering wheel, the ball bearing snapped in half so it cannot be driven. Obviously, I didnt pass the inspection. The mechanic said Im lucky that I didnt make a sharp turn getting my vehicle there or it couldve resulted in myself or someone else being badly hurt. This was the result of the rusting undercarriage. Do yourself a favor and run as far away from these vehicles as you can. Otherwise, keep thousands of dollars aside for unexpected and ongoing repairs.

Nissan consumer affairs, its a joke. I contacted them 6 months after buying a brand new Nissan Rogue. That 1st week my car started having problems. I took it to Nissans service multiple times. They did not record anything in their system and told me the car was fine. My passenger air bag light stays on at all times and a noise on the drivers strut (wheel) every time you take a right turn. So a manager drove the car, said everything was okay. So again they sent me home worried. A week later again I take the car to service, they said the car was fine. Then in September 2013 I took it again to Nissan service. They again said nothing is wrong. I asked for a manager, he again said nothing wrong with the car. So I let it go until I saw other cars (Rogue 2013s) and not one had the issue that I have. So in December I took it again to service. They again said nothing wrong, this time I spoke with a female manager name ** in Cherry Hill, NJ. Then she decided to go in the back to check the car with me and saw what was going on. She agreed that the car was not right, she kept the car in service and gave me a rental. The car stayed in service for over a month because they could not detect any issues, then they get A professional mechanic and he replaced both front struts and the sensor of the air bag. It was okay for 3 hrs then the same thing happened again. I called them and told them the same issue is happening again. They kept the car again and they still couldnt find the problem. So they gave up, I guess, and told me again nothing wrong. I contacted consumer affairs and they pretty much did nothing. They told me if I didnt want to drive the car to the service and get it towed, I was going to be responsible for the fees. I fear driving my new car. How great is that??? So I contacted lemon law. They told lemon law that they wanted to offer me $2000 for the inconvenience. HELL NO I dont want money I was to feel same in my car. Thats why I bought a new car so I didnt have to drive back and forth to the car service.

My brand new car (Nissan Sunny XL petrol), right after the second free service, the car started having problem like heating up of the engine and frequent shutdowns. When checked with the service center, it assured me nothing was wrong with the vehicle and in a perfect condition. I, with my little daughter, drove the car to our relatives next day. On the way, it broke down again while passing a dangerous valley. It stopped more than 20 times during the travel of 200km. When I contacted the service station in charge, he said that he cannot do anything. When asked what should be done next, his answer was, HE DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING.I then called Nissan Call Center. With much effort and persuasion, they connected me to the local technician who, after inspection, declared that the problem occurred because of the FAULTY FUEL PUMP and DUPLICATE COOLANT, which the service center used. More than 15 days has passed and in spite of sending a number of mails, no action has been taken until date.

I purchased a pre-owned 2012 Nissan Rogue with 25,000 miles January 2013. I have regular scheduled maintenance performed and take pride in the care of my vehicle. This past weekend, 5-14, I had planned a visit to Sarasota to my daughters house but had to replace my alternator and it took a few days to receive the part in so I postponed my trip until the following weekend. I had made it almost to Tampa from Atlanta and I noticed my car was losing power. I could not get it to go over 65 miles per hour. It was also whining. I called the shop that replaced alternator and described what I was experiencing. The mechanic suggest I get off the Interstate and have the computer hooked up to see if it was reading any codes and if not, to get to a Nissan dealership, which I did in Wesley Chapel, FL. After two hours, I was told by my service advisor Naco that he had good news and bad news. The good news was it wasnt going to cost me a penny and the bad news was my transmission had gone out. The car had 61,000 miles on it. I had just turned over the warranty period on my way to Florida. I was traveling alone and 9 hours from my home. I was already upset and nervous as I had just spent $600 on a new alternator before I left. He told me not to cry that it wasnt costing me anything. They were going to put me in another Rogue and send me on my way to visit my daughter and my car would be repaired when I headed back to Atlanta on Monday. My car was loaded with stuff for my daughters new house and he told me that he would get some of his guys to help unload my car and load the loaner. Nissan was replacing my transmission. When I asked why, I was told that they had some problems with that year and model transmissions. The service manager, Joey, was very comforting and couldnt understand why I was still crying (overwhelming)!!!! In about an hour later, as I was getting ready to leave, Naco came to me and said Sorry, Nissan isnt going to pay for transmission because I was 1000 miles over warranty. The loaner now became a rental. He said I was looking at $3600 to replace the transmission. I told him I didnt have $3600 to replace transmission and I shouldnt be replacing the transmission with only the mileage I had on the car.Who does that? Who tells you Nissan is paying and an hour later, tells you they dropped me. Never once was I told I should call Consumer Affairs but he and his staff were making calls on my behalf. Again, I became upset and was in total shock. When I asked why they dropped me, he said that I was out of warranty! 1000 miles and 1/2 of those were on this trip! After verifying that I maintained my vehicle (they called the service center and had my records sent to them), they came back and said I didnt service my car at a Nissan dealership so there was nothing they could do???????? I was in total shock! After another two hours, the service manager offered me a wholesale price of $2850. Still in disbelief, I told them I would have to make some calls to my family for help that I didnt have the money. After leaving in the rental car, I called the dealership where my car was purchased and was told by that service manager that I needed to be calling consumer affairs and open a case number to review my case for assistance. So I did, only to be denied any assistance at all. When I asked to take case a step further, I was told it would be 24-48 hours before anyone would call me back. I begged her (Keona) to forego the 24 to 48 hour period as I am stranded on the side of the road 9 hours from my home. All this to no avail!!! My whole visit to my daughters house was stressful as I was concerned how I was getting home. To be told Nissan was taking care of me and then Sorry, we are not!!! Again, who does that?

I am filling this out on my mothers behalf. I am sorry I do not have more information. I can get if I pressure her to give it up. But she has been victimized by this company and is giving up because she is mentally drained. Basically, what happened is that the car broke down while on a drive across country, out of state. The part (transmission) needed to fix the car took about a month to come in. We had to rent a car to complete the trip and get home on time. The $850.00 in rental fees are not going to be reimbursed by Nissan. This car already in its short life had a muffler break apart and disintegrate. Our trusted mechanic couldnt get a new muffler because Nissan hadnt made one yet. So, he had to fabricate one. He said that he never saw anything like this! The car is only a 2007!

Upon talking to Nissan I got some rehearsed spiel about the backorder and was given no information on where the part is, why its been backordered over 2 months or when I would get it. I have been paying rental car fees for the last month out of pocket because the insurance coverage of a rental expired so everyday Im out more money because they cant produce the part I need. Ive driven a Nissan for the last 20 years and have been satisfied until this problem arose. Not being able to get the necessary parts makes me not that interested in driving Nissans if Im going to have to deal with this kind of issue anytime, God forbid, I would be in a wreck or some other problem comes up. So if youre thinking of buying a Nissan just beware that this issue could also become your issue.

Nissan have been accused of disgraceful customer service after leaving the owner of a brand new Nissan stranded for three days 200 miles from his home town in the UK. Anthony ** car broke down with transmission failure only one week after purchasing the 50 thousand dollar top of the range Rogue from a Nissan dealership in the UK. ** and his friend were on route from Redcar to Skegness for a golfing holiday and were almost there when they suddenly lost drive from Nissans brand new CVT automatic gearbox on the Nissan Rogue which is called Qashqai in the UK. Mr **, who has previously bought two other brand new Nissans said, I should never have taken this car out of the showroom in the first place. When I went to pick it up, they made me pay for the vehicle before going out to look at it. I was filling in a questionnaire about the excellent condition of the car and the service they were providing when my son said; you had better come and have a look at the car before you answer that question because it has some scratches on it. I examined the car and it was in a right state. I had to ask the garage to wash the car again as it wasnt clean. We found a scratch on one door; scuff marks on the back bumper and two pieces of trim inside the car not fitted properly. I told the salesman I was thinking about walking away from the car but he promised me everything would be sorted. During the following week, Bristol Street Motors failed on two occasions to repair the trim properly. ** went on to explain how he became stranded; I have roadside assistance from Nissan. They are under contract to give you a car to help you on your way in these situations. I arranged for my vehicle to be recovered to a Nissan dealership. The dealership told me they didnt have a courtesy car to give me. They asked me if I could leave the car with them but I couldnt without getting a courtesy car, as mine was full of golfing equipment and luggage. In the end I had to ask the driver of the tow truck if he would take the car and me to the hotel in Skegness where we were stranded for three days. We couldnt go anywhere, as the car couldnt be driven. We were just stuck at the hotel waiting for Nissan to sort out this mess. When they did offer me a car three days later from a Nissan dealership in Boston (Lincolnshire), they said would a Micra do and how was I fixed for getting to Boston myself (25 miles away) to pick it up!!! I eventually persuaded them to give me a Qashqai (Rogue). When it turned up it looked as though it had been off roading. It was filthy and to top it off, was almost empty of fuel. Car of the year 2014? Exceptional service from 3 Nissan dealers and Nissan Customer Care? You decide for yourself! **, who rejected the vehicle, was initially refused neither his money back, nor a replacement vehicle. After 3 months of difficult and protracted negotiation, Nissan finally agreed to refund the money he paid for the vehicle but has lost out due to insurance and other costs.

First of all, thank you for your time in reading my complaint. I am contacting you for help with my 2010 Nissan Sentra. I have been denied coverage on my car with my Nissan Extended Gold Preferred Plus Warranty, and I tried to appeal it through Nissan Consumer Affairs as well. I have exhausted all measures in getting my car repaired through Empire Nissan Lakewood. My Piston Rod went through the Block of my Engine on 6th Avenue. I had the oil changed on 1/17/2017, but that was not the cause to my Engine to blow. Shell Rapid Lube Oil keeps records of all service by Camera and has reviewed the complete service by tape on my car. They are willing to provide that information to legal counsel. My car was purchased on March of 2010. At that time, we purchased a Nissan Extended Gold Preferred Plus Warranty which is good until March 2017 of this year. My maintenance records for 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 were completed at Go Nissan Southwest which is now Larry Miller Nissan in Littleton, Colorado. 12/21/2014 I have records from Firestone that I had an oil change, new tires, and a battery purchase. Mileage on the car at that time was 27,089. 2/20/2015 I have records of all the service I had done at Empire Lakewood Nissan. I would like to point out at that time on page 3 it states I had a possible oil leak, and they resealed the oil pan under my Security Plus Warranty. On page 4 they stated I needed another oil change which is a requirement when repairing an oil pan, but failed to list they did the oil change and stated I declined it. They are stating it is an error they did not list it on my paperwork, and can’t tell me if the used my old oil since it was just changed 12/21/2014, or if they put in new oil. Clearly, a problem they will not address. Mileage on the car at that time was 27,949. Why would I decline an oil change? It should be procedure to change the oil be changes when you repair a leak in an oil pan. What oil did they use? How did they make this repair without completing an oil change? 1/17/2017 My record of oil change at Shell Rapid Lube. Mileage at that time 31,740. As you can see I have kept up with the maintenance on this car since purchase. I am self-employed, and work from and this is why the mileage is slow low on this car. Example: From 12/21/2014-2/20/2015 I put 860 miles on my car. From 2/20/2015-1/17/2017 I put 3,790 miles on my car. I have 2 tow bills which Nissan will not pay for, and I have been declined a rental car which both are included in my Extended Nissan Extended Plus Warranty. Since the purchase of my car in March of 2010 to date, and put an average of $4,535 miles on my car per year. Again, I have all records of maintenance, and oil changes for this car. I have filed complaints with the BBB of TN, BBB of Colorado, Nissan Consumer Affairs, and the Federal Trade Commission. My response from Nissan Extended Warranty Gold preferred is that they will not cover the rebuild of my Engine due to an after market oil change. Nissan is irresponsible, and dishonest. They do not back their cars, and sell warranties at the time of purchase that do not back their vehicles, and repairs. I have had a major mechanical problem with this car, and NISSAN SIMPLY PUT DOES NOT CARE.

I leased a 2016 Nissan Maxima the day after I came back from my deployment
I leased a 2016 Nissan Maxima the day after I came back from my deployment training. I had great experience with Nissan of Omaha and had Altima before. Had some issues but they were taken care of before. Based on that, I leased a Maxima. Soon after driving the car, I had issue with the front collision sensor that keeps on showing up on dash. The error read as sensor blocked. Took it to the dealer and was told to take vehicle on side of street and clean the sensor and keep driving. One month later, on a road trip to Kansas had the same issue. Pulled on side of road and front bumper scraped a rock. So took it to dealer and was told that sensor is damaged will be replaced however, I need to take car to body shop and replace the bumper myself before I can ever proceed. Brand new car, 2 months old and has a broken sensor. Since I am on a lease, I cant get out but I will not recommend Nissan to anyone.

I bought this 2009 Nissan Rogue in 2012. One year later nothing but problem. I pay 17k for this lousy car. I will never buy a Nissan car again. Every time I go for a oil change, they find a problem. Now I need a front lower arm bushing splitting??? Couple of month after I bought the car I needing brakes, check engine light was on. It was a problem with the gas cap. Say I need to change my transmission fluid. I spend close to 2k more on this car. I will never buy a Nissan car from a Nissan dealership. Beware of used car from Nissan dealership. I believe they didnt do a good inspection on their used car which was certified car..... sign (got taken).

After reading so many bad reviews about Nissan Cars I thought I would weigh in. I owned a 2001 Nissan Altima 213,000 miles no major problems. Never changed anything major on this car. Its whole life oil every 3,000 and brakes. Drove this car to the Crusher in 2017 just for its age and bad sensor costing too much for the value of the car. I owned a 2005 Nissan Maxima SL 233,000 miles the transmission finally went. Engine is still strong. I only changed the 3 Timing chains at 160,000. Other than that I never changed anything major on this car. Its whole life oil every 3,000 and brakes. Got rid of this one because the transmission outweighs the cost of the car.I own a 2007 Nissan Altima S with about 80,000 miles on it and it still runs and drives well. The only thing I could say is it burns about a quart of oil in between oil changes. But is still very reliable. My next purchase is a 2010 SV Premium Maxima with 98,000 miles on it. And I have no problem with getting a Nissan with this mileage, because with proper care they will last well above 200,000 miles.

A 2015 Nissan Murano I leased in February 2015 was in the service department for 45 days. I was highly unhappy and wanted Nissan Consumer Affairs to either take the car back or exchange for a functioning one. Nissan consumer affairs was dismissive, vague, uninterested in the hardships I endured, and ignored the many valid complaints and concerns I had. They sent me generic letters only and in the last month never returned my calls. This company has become a joke, and I am proud to say I have already deterred 2 friends from buying a new Nissan. In customer service, the customer should be heard. Not dismissed!

I purchased the Versa from a Toyota dealer; May 5, 2015. After having it for a little over six months the battery went dead. I had to purchase a new battery. On August 7, was heading home from Las Vegas. It was bumper to bumper traffic then there was a brake. I tried to accelerate there was a resistant. It picked up speed and just cut off. I had no brakes. It was if the interlock system shut off everything. At that time traffic slowed down. I turned on my hazard lights and barely get over to shoulder without an accident. It was coasting with no brakes then there was this downhill slope. The speed picked up. I was praying that no other car got in front of me. A car did get in front of me but it quickly got back over. I thought I was going to have to drive the car into the dessert in order to stop it if the shoulder ran out. I came upon an exit and got off. It was an overpass with a steep hill, that stopped it. Then at that time I was able to pull up the emergency brake. I was stopped in the middle of two lane traffic; one lane coming and one going. I was still in danger of being hit by another vehicle. I was terrified as well as my family. Stuck in the desert in an unsafe spot. Others stopped after an hour and moved the car to a safer spot. I called the tow truck, to be towed 194 miles home. It took the tow truck over two and a half hours. I was afraid it was getting dark. We had no water. My mother is 81 years old. I saw three other Nissan Versas stranded besides my. Once the tow truck got there and hooked my car up, got in, and had a conversation with him. He said last week he picked up three Versas. They said the same thing I said. Their car just shut off. Took my car to Nissan car dealer in Alhambra, California on Main St. to find out it shut down because of the CVT. There was a recall on August 2015. On 2013 thru 2015 Versas, I also had another recall on some part that went under the brake. I didnt get a letter informing me of the recall. When asked why not, they told me I was not in their system as owning a Nissan. I said I am a registered owner with the DMV. Dont the two share database? I dont believe it. There has to be a law. So just wait until I have a close encounter or die to find out about the recall. Nissan has no remorse. They told me my transmission need service. After all that Ive been through, you would think they would take care of that? Nissan has this slogan, Ride in a Nissan with confidence. My first car at seventeen was a Datsun 510 brand new off the lot. Come to think of it, I had it long enough to just pay for it. No wonder they dont make them anymore. Nissan need to be put out of business. They are putting out bad cars that are going to cost many people their lives. They have poor customer service. After all that Nissan called me to upgrade a purchase on a new car, I said, Are you serious? I dont even like Nissan anymore. I will accelerate this complaint to social media. Im going to sue. I will try everything. Even a class action, because I know this is happening to thousands. We cant just sit still and allow any and everything to happen to us. If we dont stand for something, we will fall for anything. I will never buy another Nissan.

I leased a car in July of 2006. I received a property tax bill to pay in January. I got a signed and notarized affidavit stating that this vehicle was used for personal use only and that I did not live in the county where the property tax was being applied. In addition, the county where I purchased the vehicle and also reside does not charge property taxes. The first year was fine. I received another bill the second year and I submitted the same paperwork. NMAC claimed they never received it and that I owed them for taxes. I did not pay for it. The following year, I received another bill. When I submitted the forms again, I was told they could not accept them because I had not paid the previous years taxes. I just recently tried to refinance my home and my credit report is damaged because of this. I have tried calling to clear this mess up and was told rudely that this will not go away until it is paid. I submitted everything the company told me to do exactly and yet, this is still on my credit report. They have been extremely rude and have even hung up on me. I will never lease a vehicle again and I will never deal with Nissan again.

My husband has a 2014 Nissan Sentra, hes made all payments on time. Recently he started getting calls about him not paying. Hes even showed his proof of each payment. All they said was yeah it shows you paid, but we didnt get any payment and told him to pay more. Obviously someone there is pocketing the money or some crap cause hes been paying. Last week they had his car repossessed for no payment... But he has been paying. Hes even told them that he wont ever get another Nissan and asked them if they scam all soldiers like this? they hung up on him. He has yet to get his car back and they still wont admit that theres something wrong in the whole payment thing. They said he hasnt paid in 4 months. Our 2013 Nissan Altima (3 years old), only 89, 000 miles and we have owned for 2 years, the transmission went completely out. We have maintain, like clockwork, all maintenance on this car. If tire pressure light appeared we took it to the DEALER ONLY. This car has only been serviced by the Nissan/Infiniti dealer. We logged a complaint with Nissan consumer affairs and they declined repair and/or assistance with repairs for a major component of the car. Her response because we were 28,000 miles past the 60,000-mile warranty or 5 years, which we are under the 5-year mark, they could not do anything and we are responsible for the repairs. $4500 dollar repair and they refuse to even assist with the repair. We were told by a Nissan mechanic that Nissan is fully aware of the issues with the transmissions in the 2013-2015 Nissan Altima and yet they won’t do a recall or provide assistance to owners. This is heartless and senseless of such a major company. Lost and dont know what to do as this is major, while we are in the middle of planning our wedding, daughter car went out and its the holidays. Real nice Nissan.

I received a call today from a collection agency claiming that I owe $614.20 due to charges for excessive wear and tear on a Nissan that I returned 9 months ago. Mind you, the Maxima that I returned was in mint condition and I leased another Nissan, this time an Altima. I called NMAC today and they claim to have sent me a statement which I never received. That statement was allegedly sent 4 weeks after I returned one vehicle to lease another. The only other correspondence that was made regarding these fraudulent charges was 8 months later from a collection agency!!!! I spoke with about 6 different representatives from NMAC today and received so many contradictory pieces of information. Id like to point out that when the finance manager mistakenly set up my automatic payments for 20 months on my original Nissan for a 36-month lease and the automatic payment ran out, NMAC was quick to call when they didnt receive their payment. I was told today that I wasnt contacted about the most recent charge because it was end of term and NMAC doesnt bother, we just send out one bill and then turn it over to collections.... Really???? This is how they treat current customers? Had I gotten some correspondence and been made aware that I was being unfairly charged for excessive wear and tear attributed to scratches on the rims, I would have at least had some method of recourse. I cannot wait until I make my twelfth payment on this Altima so that I can hopefully buy myself out of this Altima and sever all ties with Nissan and NMAC. This has been the single worst customer service experience of my life!!!! Cant wait to tell Nissan to shove it!!!!!

My daughter purchased a car in November 2016. The sale of the car went smoothly. Unfortunately she got behind on her notes. We had called to give them an estimate date of when the notes would be paid. To my understanding if notes arent paid in 120 days repossession occurs. It hadnt even been 120 days and the day that we were on the phone which was Thursday, February 23 to pay the notes. We were put on hold for a long time only for the company in which they had repossess the car took the car. Finally someone comes on the phone with the amount due then she tells us to hold on for the fees. I asked, What are the fees for? She explained for repossession and storage fees which came to the amount of $567. I asked more than once. Once this is paid will we have to pay any other fees once she retrieve the car from the towing company. I was told, No you shouldnt be because what was paid. Only for us to get to the towing company and they are charging us an additional $175 plus an additional 50 because we didnt make it in time to pick up the car before they closed. I am very very upset because we were given false information once I called back and spoke with a different young lady whos name was ruby and she told me that wasnt the correct information. Im very upset because I feel like we have been taken for more money. If a company pays a towing company to retrieve a vehicle why should we have to pay additional fees?

I purchased a New 2016 Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it on December 13, 2017
I purchased a New 2016 Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it on December 13, 2017 from Clay Cooley Nissan in Irving Tx, 3-4 months into the purchase I start having an issue. While driving the O/D light comes on by itself, the RPMs rise, the car revs high and drives rough. I have read it is a possible transmission or computer problem. I have taken the car to the original dealership of purchase and another one to get checked out. They both claim they have driven the car, hooked it up to their machines and dont see the error. But as soon as I get the car back the issue repeats itself. They told me I need to bring the car to them when it happens which is hard because it happens at random on my way to work, school, and other daily activities. The dealerships are either too far to make it or outside of normal business hours.I complained and reached the sales manager J **. He prompted me to come down and they would trade me out of the vehicle into a new one and keep my payments the same! A complete LIE, I get there and they pump me up, “This is going to be painless. We will get you in & out,” and start asking me for a money for a down payment and try and put me in an Altima which is not what I purchased originally. After getting upset, I leave in the same messed up car. NO HELP. Just a full tank of gas and one of the managers says, “Well the car still drives so just keep driving it and when the error happens switch the gear. Itll go off.” So he wants me to pay for a car that is clearly giving me trouble and just drive it and jerk it around and keep rolling! Then says drop it off at service when I just picked the car up. How many times do I have to leave the car and be without a car to drive? I am disgusted and disappointed by the service I have received. This was my first time treating myself to a NEW car and it was a complete mistake. I hate Nissan. The car still has the issue, nothing resolved.

I called corporate after a year of that and was told the parts were available, they just had to order them. Service dept said no they were told the parts were restricted. After 5 years of this I made an appointment with their recall hotline. When I brought the car in for service I was told the airbag was not there and I should not have made the appointment thru the hotline but thru the service dept. I was also told that the passenger airbag was replaced already. IT WAS NOT. The help in the service dept are pleasant, but the overall service sucks!

1st I want everyone to join me in my complaint to the Federal Trade Commission for every call they get they will take down Nissan for selling cars knowingly that have malfunctions! Im writing regarding a vehicle (VIN#3N1CN7AP6FL844173) I purchased new from Landers McLardy Nissan in Bentonville Arkansas on 9/01/2014. The next day I drove the vehicle to Russellville AR so the insurance company could take pictures. On my way I noticed that my car returned very poor gas mileage around 29 miles per gallon (mpg) at 70 miles per hour and that the air conditioner bogged the engine down. Curiously, the instrument cluster reflected 41mpg. I also realized my car was very seriously out of alignment and that my Bluetooth feature was useless. While using the Bluetooth at highway speeds I could hear people but they could not hear me. When the car was parked the Bluetooth feature functioned poorly but did work. The next day I took my car to Landers where they found the car to be out of alignment and several technicians hooked their phone to my car and all reported the Bluetooth feature functioning properly. The service department inquired about my cell phone which was an LG G3 though Sprint. I was informed that my cell service was the problem. (See service notes) This is one of many very disappointing visits to Landers because in the base Nissan Versa, which has a nonadjustable Bluetooth microphone--Nissan is fully aware the Bluetooth is nonfunctional. One of Landers technicians was aware my front struts were installed improperly from the factory but didnt mention it to anyone. I kept returning to Landers because my car still pulled to the right and jerked to the left under acceleration and my Bluetooth Feature still did not function but my phone worked fine in other cars. At one point the car jerked so hard to the right I over corrected and did a 360 on I49 and that resulted in my bumper cover being scratched up. I finally spoke with the manager of service department who had a tech ride with me and he informed me that my car pulling to the right was just a hard constant drift and my Bluetooth would not work until I switched cell carriers. They then put my car on the alignment rack and told me it was in perfect alignment and the Bluetooth issue was my problem.Although, I constantly brought up the fact that 10 gallons of gas which filled my tank up would take me from 250 miles to a max of 325 miles my instrument cluster reflected 40mpgs- this issue was never addressed. The manager told me he could not fix something that is not broken. I then received a survey from Nissan Motor Company and informed them of my cars constant drift, inaccurate instrument cluster, and nonfunctional Bluetooth. The next day Landers had called me various times. The service department, Marilyn ** (customer service manager) and my Salesperson all wanting me to bring my car in. First I met with my salesperson who asked why I didnt go to him with my problems and I informed him that he had saw me and spoke with me several times while waiting on the car and knew I was trying to have my new 2015 Versa fixed. He informed me that my survey cost him and Marilyn a lot of commissions and that Landers had to pay my finance company just to do my loan. I realized right then I had been the victim of a kickback loan. Next I went to visit Marilyn ** who told me from the first time I brought my car in a technician had noticed my front end was assembled wrong in the factory. How she found this information out so quickly was beyond me unless Nissan was trying to wait till further down the road to fix the problem to avoid hurting reliability ratings. I have a coworker who purchased a new SUV from Nissan (a hospice nurse who was working) and the vehicle just went off and Nissan accused her of running her car out of gas and then kept the car for 8 weeks. Marilyn went on to say the service department was disorganized and had a lot of miscommunications and that no one had drove my car to check the Bluetooth but had just sat in the car. I informed Marilyn I had broken my contact with Sprint and went to AT&T and my Bluetooth still did not work. My car was so severely out of alignment I had lost control and expected them to pay My Early termination fees to Sprint, Replace my LG phone, and fix my bumper cover. To this she replied the service department will not take responsibility for any of these things. I even had internet installed at my home due to using over 100GBs of data per month. All of my Sprint talk, text, and data was unlimited for $60 Dollars/month. With AT&T its $40 for the line and $40 for 3GBs of data and $39 per month for internet service. She let me know that my car would be fixed and that was the most important thing to me. They replaced the left front strut and Im not sure what else. The car was still not in alignment and the instrument cluster was never addressed and the Bluetooth feature did not work. I work for home health and hospice and declining a call is not an option for me. They later talked me into trying to trade my car for another Nissan but lowballed me on the trade difference and the finance company wanted me to keep my car for 1 year. I knew it was wrong to trade my car because it was obviously a lemon but was desperate to get out of it because between the car being out of alignment and not having hands free calling and previously losing control I felt unsafe in the car. After that the service manager took the car and kept it over a week and could not find a problem with the alignment but ordered another microphone for the Bluetooth. I assumed he would have read previous notes on what had been done to the car but did not. I took the car back and wrote Nissan Motor Corp a certified letter giving them one last chance to fix the car. They sent up a tech from Dallas and he and Marilyn rode with me and he called my car pulling to the left under acceleration torque steer and pulling to the right curvature of the road which is a term Landers loved to use. We made various calls on my cell phone which everyone could not hear us then Marilyn wanted to call Landers which I insisted she not but she did anyway and she spoke with the lady who she shares office space with and of course she could hear us fine because she had her volume turned to the max at the office and this was preplanned and very deceitful and pathetic. Someone else called and were unable to hear Marilyn. When we got back the cooperate tech who argued the car was fine found the car to be out of alignment and fixed that and addressed the Bluetooth by allowing me to drive the same car only with a continuously variable transmission (my car is a stick) and at 70mph the Bluetooth feature did not work. However, I noted that the RPMs in that car were very low allowing the car to achieve good gas mileage were as my five speed would have the rpms at 4000. The car was still out of alignment and Nissan Motor Company wanted to pay me $1500 for my inconveniences but when I received the letter it was a settlement offer for the alignment and Bluetooth. They also expected me to keep the car in that condition. I will write letters to the Federal Trade Commission, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety until these cars are recalled. Because Nissan is fully aware that the Bluetooth is not functional and the manual transmission equipped cars in no way achieve the mpg as promised and this torque steer would lead to many head on collisions for a driver who is medically impaired. Texting, talking and driving has proved fatal time and time again let alone a car that pulls into oncoming traffic. My last visit to Landers I tried to obtain my service records with diagrams of the alignments and was invited to leave because I admitted I was going to seek legal counsel. I also needed an oil change and my car was out of alignment so eventually I took the car to another Nissan dealership who found the car out of alignment and performed yet another alignment which the car still pulls. I have received stupid surveys from Nissan Consumer Relations asking what I expect them to do. I want them and Landers to be honest. I will be filing Freedom of Information Request with Nissan and Landers concerning other complaints, recalls, and kickback loans. The money Landers has cost me is expected now. The money Nissan offered and then sent a settlement letter is viciously ridiculous. Im not sure what legal recourse to take with them but they have made me a firm believer of staying away from any future Nissan product. Please advise me of who else to contact concerning the immoral car company!

We enjoy our Nissan except that the back door has to be slammed shut or it doesnt close tightly. We like the back and the extension that comes with it. I would like to have more USB outlets though. More leg room in the back may be nice too.

I purchased my car about 6 months ago, a Nissan Versa 4-door sedan. My car ran fine up until I went in for scheduled maintenance and the dealer did a CVT reprogram. Now it is vibrating most of the time when idle. It was shaking so bad at one point that I can feel the vibration in my leg when my foot is on the break. Also on my hand when it is on the steering wheel. I only have around 38 k miles on this car. Prior to this update, I was really impressed at how my car performed almost like it was new. Now I am scared and very disappointed to say the least.

I leased a 2017 Nissan Rogue and a little after the first year its been nothing but problems and I have been fighting Nissan over a year now!! Truck keeps dying intermittently, replaced the battery, still happens, left me out in the cold numerous times, been flat-bedded to dealership numerous times, also gives me problems detecting the key-fobs saying no key detected. I asked Nissan to get me out of the lease since the truck is unreliable and unsafe, and they have been giving me excuse after excuse. Ive lost a lot of time, money, and patience with this truck and will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY FROM NISSAN!!

I experienced lie upon lie when I purchased my 2020 Nissan Altima at Thruway Nissan in Newburgh NY. Now, a year later, I’ve noticed my FM reception is on occasions full of static. Initially, upon a service appointment, I was advised all was fixed with a computer update. Not so! The problem continues as my car made a repeat trip to the dealer only to be told that there is no problem with the antenna or connections. They refuse to replace the radio even though it’s under warranty with less than 10k miles! Buyer beware! Buy elsewhere.

I have an electric blue 2005 Nissan Frontier Nismo. Since about 2008 and 40,000 miles, it has been shedding paint like my car sheds hair! It started with the front left quarter panel, then the front right quarter panel, then the right rear quarter panel, then the gutters on the roof, then both doors on the right side, and also many other obscure places like the gas tank door, and underneath the hood, a place that never encounters any weather or road related contact. I bought the truck used with approximately 41,000 miles on it and, after I bought the truck, I found out that the previous owner had actually already dealt with this issue and had taken the truck to Nissan, complained about the paint peeling and Nissan did a tape test on the vehicle. They pulled off a significant amount of paint but then claimed that the issue was not a factory defect. I have gone through all of the appropriate steps with Nissan and basically have gotten the runaround. They keep claiming that its not a factory defect and that there is nothing that they can do to help me.I have formed a Facebook group titled 2005 electric blue Nissan frontier paint delamination. I am seeking as many affected Nissan Frontier owners that have experienced the same paint defect with that year, make and model and color of truck. The more people that I can get to come forward with this issue, the stronger my case will be. I have been in contact with the same attorney group that is handling the transmission/radiator recall and they are very interested in taking up this case as a class action lawsuit. So please, if you are affected by this paint peeling issue, please add yourself to the group on Facebook and we will go from there. Thank you.

I purchased a 2011 SL Nissan Juke a little over 2 years ago. I chose the Nissan Juke because, at the time, it seemed like the perfect balance of practicality and aesthetics for a car under 25k. About 1 year into ownership, the car began to lose its ability to retain a battery charge. Several times the car needed a jump start. I took it into the dealership, and was told the battery was faulty -- hard to believe for a car just 1-year off the lot. I changed the batter per the dealerships recommendations. At about 68,000 miles, I take in the car to get checked out because of a rattling noise coming from the engine. A diagnostic was run, and I was told that I would be looking at a $2500 repair to replace and/or repair the timing chain, which, according to the tech, I should do sometime soon. At 70,000 miles, the vehicle completely stalls out while driving and eventually decelerates to a complete stop. The car no longer started, and I had to have it towed to the dealership. Now, the Nissan dealership is telling me that I need a completely new engine because there was damage caused by the timing-chain, which end up costing nearly $10,000. Ive since then learned that there are countless other Nissan Juke owners that have had the exact same thing happen to them. Not surprisingly, a class-action lawsuit has been filed against Nissan on the exact same issue. I need information regarding becoming a part of a class-action lawsuit filed against Nissan for failure to disclose knowledge about a faulty timing-chain design, and subsequent failure to issue a necessary recall on the model to repair the defect.

Worst company to deal with. I just bought a 2012 Juke. Less than 50 thousand miles on it the turbo burns out. I had not even made my 4th payment. We took it to 2 different mechanics and were told the same thing. The oil line that feeds the turbo lays up against the manifold causing it to boil and become sludge. I called Nissan and they asked me how can Nissan help you with this? What they were really saying is you can answer our question BUT we have NO intention of helping you. I am out 14 hundred dollars for a new turbo and due to the way it is designed I now need to have the oil changed every 2000 miles so the oil line does not clog again. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT BUY FROM NISSAN. THEY DO NOT BACK THEIR PRODUCT.

Absolutely horrible service from all aspects of Nissan. Summary: Issue was reported to Nissan Consumer Affairs (CA) and I was told that my car was still under warranty. My vehicle was at McDavid Nissan for 5 days before it was looked at despite having an appointment. Due to the delay in inspecting the vehicle the warranty had exceeded the 3 year warranty window. CA changed. Told me I was out of luck but would examine my case for out of warranty assistance. This would take an additional 3-5 business days. 12+ calls were left unanswered and messages left un-returned about the status of my vehicle. 3 messages left with the service manager were un-returned. No loaner car was provided and I was told I would need to pay to rent a vehicle. The 6 hour job took 9 days to complete.Full Story: I purchased a 2016 370Z NISMO In November 2015. My vehicle developed a water leak in heavy rain on the driver side door. This looks to be a common problem with these vehicles. My vehicle had 33,000 miles and I was told at another dealership that the warranty only covered 32,000 miles. I reported the issue to CA on a survey and was called by a representative. They told me that my vehicle was still under warranty and should take it in. I made an appointment as soon as I could and dropped the vehicle off on a Monday at 4 PM. I was told that no loaner would be provided and that I needed to pay for a rental. This is ridiculous and seems to be the common policy for all Nissan dealers. By Wednesday they had still not inspected the car. Finally, on Friday they called to let me know that they had found the issue and that I would need to approve the charges. I called to find out what the charges were since it was under warranty, but my service rep was out of the office and no one else could help me. On Saturday I was finally able to reach my service rep who informed me that my warranty had expired 3 days prior to me bringing it in and the work would cost $2,000. I called back to CA to figure out why I was told the work would be covered. When I called they told me I was screwed. Even though I had reported the issue inside the 3-year window, and the exact issue I described was found upon inspection, since the service department took so long to inspect the vehicle the warranty had expired. On the following Monday they called me back in and said they would look at my case for out of warranty assistance in 3-5 days but there were no guarantees. I told the dealer to order the parts so that the work could progress while I was waiting. The parts took twice as long to arrive over what I was told. When I called to find out about the status of the parts my calls were ignored and when I left messages no one would return my calls. I called over 8 times on Tuesday to get a status update and all the calls were ignored. I left 2 different messages with the service manager and these calls were never returned. I was again denied a loaner car. During the entire process my issues were treated as my problem and Nissan was of no help. On Wednesday I called again to get a status update, after 3 ignored call and another ignored message to the service manager, I was told that they were still waiting on approval from CA. CA told me they had marked the case urgent, but it could take another day or two. I told them the work would be complete and that I was going to pick up the car because I needed transportation. CA said that if I did that, the case would have to be reevaluated for reimbursement and could change their decision. I told them that this was absurd, and they said they couldnt do anything about it. Later that day CA called to let me know they had finally reached a decision to cover the repairs. I went to the dealership to pick up the car, but it wasnt ready even though I was told it would be. When the car was finally done, they didnt pull it up, they just gave me the keys and told me to go find my vehicle. I will never buy another Nissan and neither will my friends or coworkers.

I own a 2009 Nissan Rogue and my transmission just went out. I understand completely that a vehicle is a vehicle and all vehicles will have problems every now and then. What I dont understand is why the heck is Nissan still marketing their vehicles with the CVT transmissions? I know a lot of people who owned a Altima, Maxima, Murano and I asked the question of why did you guys get rid of your vehicles? Their responses were they started to hear grinding noises coming from the transmission and the transmission would idle past 2k rpms at a complete stop and once they take off the transmission would change gears so hard that it felt like they were being rear ended and so they didnt trust the CVT transmission and got rid of their vehicle before any major mechanical issues occurred. Three weeks ago I began experiencing the same problem and Sunday June 14th I went to turn into the grocery store parking lot and tried to give it a little more gas and all it did was idle and then immediately my service engine light kept flashing. I had the vehicle towed to a Nissan dealership and it was confirmed my transmission went out and to top it off they are non repairable. So not only do I not have a vehicle but I am also making a very decent payment on the vehicle and my warranty has expired. To everyone out there looking to purchase a Nissan. I highly recommend that you do not buy their products until they discontinue the CVT transmissions. If youre interested in how Nissan vehicles look rather than the quality of the vehicle then have at it. Trust me when I say you will be glad you didnt purchase any of their vehicles with the CVT transmission. I only wish I wouldve done my homework before purchasing my vehicle.

Paint is flaking off the front quarter panels, hood, area around the windshield, and the roof. Paint bubbles up and then flakes off. I have called Nissan Consumer affairs and was told to take it to a dealer for a diagnosis and then call them back. They said that they hadnt had a lot of calls for this problem on a Pathfinder. I have seen several complaints on the internet about this same problem in the exact same places on the vehicle. I am taking it to the dealer for their diagnosis and will call consumer affairs to see what can be done.
