After 2 1/2 years of leasing my Land Rover LR4, my car began to die. It was towed to Larchmont Land Rover who were not professional and could not get me a loaner; although they offered to pay for me to go to enterprise, I refused. After a week, they were unable to find a problem and then finally said they put in a 2nd battery back up. About 28 days later, my car wouldnt start. Now we decide to use White Plains Land Rover; even bigger mistake because after changing the battery, we also needed a new halogen light which we were advised would be covered under warranty and then later was advised it wasnt and had to pay $200. I was shocked that the service manager wouldnt even go half with me since THEY misinformed me. In the end, he refused the service to me; he should have accepted his mistake and ate the loss but no, instead he was very unhappy that we never used them to service our car for things like an oil change; and why would I do that and pay double for an oil change when I can go anywhere else for less. HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE... I really enjoyed the drive and interior of LR4 but WILL NEVER AGAIN GET ANOTHER ONE!!

It was amazing. It was so cool and had so much fun on this brand. It has a lot of rooms and capacity to be helpful to others. Nice and good looking brand as well. Also was satisfied by their services offered. It may be expensive but I like the way it is and yup its worth a penny because its so new and different from the rest of the brand I have had ever tried. I am so happy to have this kind of brand and be lucky to get to experience it.

After numerous emails to the CEO they’ve never gotten back to me. My mothers car was stolen due to the poor technology that these cars are built with! All I’ve asked is that all range rovers sold need to have a contract stating how easy it is to steal! So the future owner knows their risk! That it only takes 90 seconds to steal a £40k plus car!!! I’m DISGUSTED how I’ve been treated! I believe the answer now is to do a peaceful protest outside showrooms to Stop People buying their terrible cars!

Purchased 2016 Evoque brand new. Check Engine light came on at 397 miles on the car. Took in for service, dealer fixed it and car was with dealer for 2 days. Drove under 100 miles, Check Engine light on Again. Back to dealer for repair. Dealer kept it again for few days and fixed issue. Drove 200 miles again and check engine light on again. This time dealer kept the car for 2 weeks. After lots of phone calls to manufacture and dealer they agreed to replace my vehicle for another Evoque. Happy customer again... But guess what. Drove replacement car for about a month with under 900 miles check engine light ON. Very unhappy with truck so far and Would Not Recommend it to anyone Buy IT. Look around, you will find better Quality cars around.

I bought a Range Rover Sport several months ago. 24 hours after my purchase while on a family trip, I started experiencing software issues. The radio, internet, several areas of the dashboard went blank and no Bluetooth connectivity. The answer was to do a software update at the dealership once I returned. The local dealership has been very nice and supportive applying these updates now monthly, but now we have given up. Since these updates would correct the problem for about 24 hours, it was not worth the time or effort. It is a product issue. My issues are now daily and extremely frustrating. The dealership helped me as much as they could and had to refer me to their Customer Support folks out of NJ. I hope you NEVER have to interact with the team out of NJ. The Range Rover team out of NJ are the worst support team that I have ever experienced. They denied further assisting me and basically stated by email that I need to wait for a new update to resolve my issue. There is no ETA on this issue being resolved. No call back to discuss this over the phone. I have multiple emails and calls into my rep. trying to further discuss my issues over the phone. I have been very patient and nice, but now I am done and now sharing this experience with others PRIOR to their purchase or support others out there with the same situation.

Land Rover offers great vehicles, which are very economic on gas and great for road trips. Its easy to fix and take care of. Its a very nice and sophisticated type of vehicle. The interior is very nice, mirrors work well, electronic locks, and spacious room to put things to go on a travel. It has enough room to fit a family of 6 and room in the back to put bags and luggage for vacation and has plenty of room to be comfortable for long trips. Every few years newer models have been produced and the options have become more updated.

I purchased a 2006 Range Rover HSE with 18,000 miles. I owned the vehicle for one year and that is when my financial nightmare started. The first incident that occurred was with the front differential, which needed to be replaced at 30,000 miles. Three months later, the air suspension needed to be replaced as well. I am lost for words as to why is it that this is a so-called top of the line luxury vehicle. I was suckered into buying this basically junk and ** expensive vehicle, which is costing me and a lot of others nothing but financial burden and headaches. I cannot wait to unload this junk by any means. I will never purchase a Land Rover ever again!

Make no mistake, I have been a long time Land Rover fan (Im in the UK). I have had many Defenders, Range Rovers and a Disco 3. I have driven to Africa 5 times in a Defender including through the Central Sahara Desert to Niger and have another rebuilt Defender 300Tdi 110 now ready to go again. I have just sold the Disco 3 after a few problems cropped up - it was getting old anyway. We went to a local dealer, Harwoods in Lewes, East Sussex to look at an Evoque or Discovery commercial or anything else that looked suitable for a family vehicle and seeing clients. Well, yes theres a virus going round but we were told we could not enter the showroom and to go and have a look round the car park. Well the car park was full of various vehicles, maybe customers in for service or staff, who knows? By the way it was raining too. We shuffled a bit and left, rather unamused to put it mildly. If this is the best that LR can do when customers are potentially about to spend £100k GBP or more and become loyal to a brand, then they need to go back to business school. Land Rover has a criminally bad reputation for reliability and appalling customer service. Its not difficult to see why. We went to a Porsche dealer who was open, welcoming and thoroughly excellent. The older Rovers were simple and robust. Parts were good and reliable, not expensive. The newer generation ones are grossly over complicated with dodgy electronics, poor quality components (they have gone downhill for the last few years due to cost cutting as the vehicles were no longer required to be robust due to mainly be used on road, not off road). Throw in corporate complacency, inadequately trained technicians who swap assemblies (huge bills ...) rather than fault find and you have a nightmare of epic proportions. My advice is to buy another brand thats reliable and from a source where you can get personal service when buying and for servicing and not be lost in the system. In the Uk theres lot of experience of Land rovers, more than the US - you have been warned.

Have produce videos and still tell me some cars are sensitive. They give me loaners and they dont ever experience the sensitivity my car has. Now they told me they put a new sensor and guess what still having the same problem. Mr. ** manager of service department was very rude. Also I cannot get paperwork of the new sensor. I believe they just lied, so I am just imaging this...just because I am a woman and dont know anything. I will try getting a hold of someone at corporate office.

I have the RR Supercharged. I purchased it in Mexico City in 2014 directly from the LR importer (and not any distributor) and actually has 22,585 kilometers, and I sent it to ETB Armoring company, the only company recommended by LR. This RR is in a very BAD condition due to the bad or the worst armoring assembling, everything vibrate and makes a lot a noise and the suspension is in a very bad shape. It looks like a 2 millions kilometers and not +/- 20,000 kilometers. And from the LR Company here in Mexico City NOBODY cares. I called many times. The person in Charge of Service by the name of Antonio ** and he did never care. What about the promises that is a millions kilometers SUV?! And the best service EVER? I think they meant NEVER and not ever...

I have had my 2015 Evoque for 60 days now and we just picked it up from our Land Rover dealer service for a gearbox fault (I will get more into that shortly). On the way home on the highway, the car lost power in the fast lane, basically shut down and give us the same gearbox malfunction code as before. My wife and 6 year old child were in the car with me when this happen. Cars behind me had to slam on their brakes because my Evoque was slowing at a fast rate and I had no power to get out of the way. Luckily there was an opening in traffic for me to pull into the side of the road. The same thing happen last week when my wife was driving my son to the doctor and A SEMI TRUCK NARROWLY AVOIDED RUNNING INTO MY WIFE AND CHILD BECAUSE OF THE SAME ISSUE! My wife doesnt want this car, I dont want this car, I feel like my family is not safe in it anymore and I honestly dont know what path to take.I love(d) the Land Rover brand and weve owned an LR3, LR4, and a Range Rover Sport. We were excited to experience this vehicle and it has led to nothing but heartache. I believe Land Rover owes me a new, safe vehicle. Especially after being a loyal customer for the last 7 years.

I have been driving Land Rovers in my family since 2005 and exclusive owned
I have been driving Land Rovers in my family since 2005 and exclusive owned 5 products so far right from LR3, LR4 and most recent Range Rover sport diesel 2016s. Purchased my first Range Rover sport in May of 2016. The car spent more time in the dealership due to transmission issues and leaks on an ongoing basis. I traded the car for another Range Rover Sport TD6. After about 1000 miles transmission fluid started leaking and could smell smoke in the cabin. Minor leaks but continuous. Dealer took the car in twice to change out various seals. However leaks continued. Car has been at dealership for over a month. Dealer lowered the entire transmission and determined that the transmission fluid leaked through the material of the transmission housing. The material is porous and allows transmission oil through its walls. So dealer order a new transmission for a car now at about 2000 miles. There is major issue with the material of construction of the transmission and is quite unsafe in my opinion. I have asked for a full compensation through dealership and Jaguar Land Rover North America. The response so far has been very slow both from JLR North America and the dealer tells me that such things take time to resolve. Meanwhile I continue paying for the car. My main concern with the car is its reliability and safety. I am still waiting to hear dealer and JLR North America. I will update post as issue gets resolved. Meantime any advice highly appreciated.

The Land Rover offers vehicles that are great on any driving terrain. They have high quality tires on them that make this vehicle and all other models of the Land Rover perfect for driving in any type of weather conditions. The appearance of the Land Rover is very attractive. The Land Rover has heated seats, a high quality stereo system (which you can listen to Siris radio through), and a dvd player so that young children that ride in the vehicle will be occupied while you are driving. You can have your vehicle either upgraded or customized to your preference. You can have your vehicle with or without a dvd player installed in it or you can have it upgraded to 4 wheel drive. The Land Rover has a lot of space in it. Whether you use that space for traveling with the whole family, or just for taking things along, like on a vacation or a camping trip. Whatever the case may be, you are guaranteed to have enough space for all of it.

They started talking about new brakes before I picked up my 2016 Range Rove
They started talking about new brakes before I picked up my 2016 Range Rover HSE w TD6 from the first service at 16,000 miles. For RR brakes are a large expense and as youd imagine they dont recommend changing the pads alone but, rather, pads and rotors always. Sure. The RR is a heavy vehicle. Others such as Ford and others design heavy commercial trucks with reliable braking systems that do not require this type of maintenance. For me, I consider the mention of brake replacement when current brakes measure plenty of life left to be nothing short of the dealer set-up priming you for a big expense down the road. Same thing happened on my previous Sport. Then I carried to a reliable repair shop who replaced rotors and pads for $880 compared to the then-$2200 quoted by RR dealer. So in the end owner sat is heavily influenced by the dealer and their ethics and response to issues. Read other reviews. The vehicles are solid, beautiful, functional and smart. Some of the dealers arent. Beware. Choose your dealership wisely.

The car has 50,000 miles on it and I have had to replace the power steering shaft at a cost of $1,600. The horn button broke off and they do not sell just the button, they make you replace the entire horn. Most recently, my check engine light is reporting miss fires and they are recommending replacing all wires and spark plugs at a cost of $1,100. All of this within a 3 month period - awesome. I will never buy a Land Rover product ever again, and I am currently trying to sell mine. Dont put yourself through this. Oh, and in the same breath, the lovely assistant told me that my head gaskets are leaking coolant and oil which will be very costly. Great.

Ive owned a Land Rover Velar 2018 less than a month. After 2 weeks of ownership the computer infotainment system failed. I couldnt defrost my window, heat my car, defrost my window for 15 minutes of terrifying-driving. My husband is paralyzed and has a hard time regulating his temperature. This was horrible, as he was shivering all the way home. Just a horrible experience after just spending $67k. Im told by my service adviser that others just pull over, get out, lock the car, and let it sit for 20 mins. Some go shopping, run errands. Then it re-boots. That doesnt work for me if Im driving at night from my moms house where it is more rural, like I was when this happened. I like the car, but will absolutely not pay this price for a car when I only have 500 miles on this car, owned for 2 weeks and caused a horrible experience the first week. Its pretty scary when a lot of your controls are operated by this software where they dont have a fix?We researched the UK forum after this horrific experience and realized this an ongoing issue in the UK. Why wasnt this disclosed to us? Im so upset for spending the money on a car that has been sitting in the service department and they rented me a car that is not comparable at all. Im still paying on this car and put a huge down payment on this car. Very disappointed. I have owned at least 8 Range Rovers with my family and Im so disappointed with this experience. I have definitely contacted RR Corporate.

I had a 2006 Range Rover Sport HSE. I loved it! At about 90,000 km, I started getting intermittent reduced engine efficiency warnings that began to result in low speed stalls. Check engine light occasionally would come on as well. I had my mechanic replace several sensors. Then I took it to the Land Rover dealer (in the next city) who diagnosed a mass airflow sensor as the culprit. This was changed but it kept reoccurring. More diagnostics (and the money associated with that) and resetting of the codes: same mafs but nothing was wrong with the sensor! Land Rover was unhelpful and quite frankly, disinterested. I guess the repeated cost resetting charges were making everyone happy (except me). So, I bought a 2013 Ford Explorer, a great vehicle at a half the cost, same great cargo space, better ride (!) and a more accessible dealer network. Its a great truck.Im very disappointed in Land Rover. I currently have a Mercedes E-class which Ive had for almost 10 years without any significant issues, as well as a summer-only 5-year old Porsche that has cost me only oil changes. I dont mind spending money on vehicles, but I wont be loyal to a brand that cant fix their own vehicles properly. Good riddance, Landie, forever.

I had purchased Land Rover Freelander 2 2.2D in Jan, 2013 from Mumbai and registered vehicle at Nagpur (Maharashtra State) India. As on date: I have clocked only 20,500 km after passage of three years (the vehicle is almost idle most of the time), against an average clocking of say 100,000km for a premium vehicle like Freelander, it has run only 20% of its desired (?) run, and still giving message of Reduced Engine Performance! Is that all that a premium segment vehicle can endure or perform??? I am astonished at the timing for giving such message. Trouble started the very next month when the standard warranty expires! Am surprised, rather shocked to understand this fact. It is very hard to even digest, since the vehicle is being kept, maintained in such good shape, and one fine morning, am seeing that it starts beeping. It was conveyed to me that the vehicle has developed restriction in the air pathway of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve due to carbon deposits caused as a by-product of combustion of fuel. My very contention is how it could happen when the vehicle is idle for most of the time, and, it was serviced, earlier at say 13,000km and it developed this problem at 20,000km (a service does not guarantee such problem within 7000km run over a period of one year, or was it not checked at that time?). It is not understandable, if the vehicle has seldom run, it could develop any problem within three years of its purchase! And after I take it to the Dealer, am handed INR 160,000 (approx USD 2500) estimate! For what??? Hopeless Service, irresponsive I would say, am yet to hear back till date.

I purchased a NEW 2018 Range Rover Sport in October 2018. Right out of the gate I noticed the throttle response was delayed. When I press the gas there is a 1-2 second delay before the truck moves. When you have the wheel turned its an even longer delay and then the truck bucks and goes. According to Land Rover White Plains and Land Rover Freeport its normal. Entering the highway is playing a game of chicken. I have to time the passing cars and hit the gas early to merge and pray I dont hit someone. In November 2018 (1 month of ownership) my truck wouldnt drive. The car was on and everything was running but the transmission and gears wouldnt work. The dash said HDC FAULT, STABILITY CONTROL FAULT, TRANSMISSION FAULT & GEAR SHIFTER FAULT. I towed it to LR Freeport and they didnt have any loaner cars to give me so I had to rent a car from Hertz. Dealer said I would be reimbursed for the rental. Now LR is giving me a hard time about reimbursing me for the rental when according to my warranty and contract Im due a loaner when I bring it to service at no cost to me!! Im still fighting for reimbursement! After picking up the truck they said it needed an update. Its crazy how a little update can affect so much. Now the truck is fixed but the throttle is still horrible. The 2 center screens are delayed before turning on (1-2 minutes). The maps in the infotainment odometer doesnt turn on. The rear view camera is delayed and choppy. My sunroof makes a whistling noise (according to LR thats normal). My park distance control works when it wants and when its cold out I have to run the truck for 15-20 minutes before I can drive it otherwise the transmission bucks and revs but truck doesnt move. How can you sell something for so much money and its nothing but problems and unreliable?? The internet is FULL of bad reviews and complaints for LR.THE WORST $90k Ive ever spent!!! I feel like I was robbed! I pray someone steals it so I can rid myself of this headache!! HOW DARE LR SELL THESE EXPENSIVE CARS THAT HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!! So unreliable! Get a BMW or Mercedes, save yourself the headaches! Oh and my father has a 2018 Discovery for 2 months and has had it in for service 9 times!! Looking into local lemon laws for him.

They also include top luxury models but do be preparing to spend at least 50,000. The vehicles are beautiful though and well thought out. They also pay attention to detail and you have many options to choose from. Wheels, interior leather, wood trim, many different exterior paint color options and many options for engine. Our 2010 LR4 HSE has had problems from the time we drove it new off the lot too numerous to cover here. Constant problems with the electrical system that no one can seem to figure out. Sometimes the ignition works and everything turns on, sometimes not. Problems with sensors and indicators just not working right. Maintenance is frequent and expensive. Brakes need to be replaced every 6-8 months and usually the rotors too due to soft pads and thin rotors. Water pump broke which shot water everywhere and shorted out alternator, battery and electrical system.More recently, only 8 months after coolant system service vehicle overheated due to cheap composite plastic pipe cracking causing sudden coolant loss. Temp gauge was reading normal and no indicator lights went on. Caused significant damage to engine which now needs to be rebuilt or just replaced. Havent decided. Local dealer service is terrible and corporate customer relations are even worse. Have had most every other luxury brand but nothing even comes close to the problems and expense of our LR. Never again.

I have leased a Land Rover Evoque 2015 (new) - it has 92000 km and my lease is up Jan 2019. On July 14 the engine just stopped - I had it towed to a local mechanic. I wanted to make sure it was not just a battery issue (quick review) - I was told that the engine had experienced a catastrophic failure and caused the top of the engine block to blow off. I then had it towed to Metro West - where they just sat on the car for over two weeks- Always telling me that they are working on it with Land Rover. On July 27 I went into the dealer and demanded answers. The Service manager gave me a toll free number to Land Rover. I made the call and they had no record of my vehicle issue. It then takes Land Rover until Aug 03 - to tell me that if I went through them they would put in up to 3500.00 on repairs. They only want to replace with new engine (cost 18,000.00). Still they have not investigated why this happened. All service was performed, with the proper oil - there was no tell tail signs that there was an issue, the engine had the proper amount of oil. I have all records and photos of engine, plus a letter with a licensed mechanic opinion. On Aug 07 - I have towed my car from Metro West and brought it to my regular mechanic OK Hi Standard Tire. Through all this I have rented my own car - which I need to get myself prepared for a kidney transplant and work. I have asked Hi Standard tire to take all photos and see if we can determine what failed internally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The dealer service representative in Peabody MA does not want to honor even a free warranty check up since the car has 60K miles. Really 2-year-old car leased from them has a AC compressor issue? I purchased a 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharge from Santa Monica Rover on November 26, 2011. 15 days later, on December, the check engine light came on. I took the car in for service at Encino Land Rover, $1,024.69 dollars later, the car was ready and running. On January 4, 2012, again the check engine light came back on again. I took it back to Encino Land Rover again on January 10, 2012, the dealership called and say its the transmission needs replace at a cost of $7,500. there was an extended warranty on this 2006 that ended on the 29th of December 2011. Need to get the repairs done on this car and need to figure out what sort of compensation can be extended.

The 2014 Evoque Range Rover is an accident waiting to happen. Recalls to updates to not understand how this car is supposed to run. For an higher end car it does not hold true to quality. Car has 76,000 miles and told its needs a new transmission for $24,000 which is the value of the car. Car stalls when on highway, car stalls when out in gear. Higher quality parts do not last longer than any other car. Problem after problem. Worst car I have ever owned from day one. You dont know if its the eco turning car off or if its stalling.

I spent £112,000.00p on an RR Autobiography in July 2017. All the gadgets fitted and a special paint colour. Having spent such a sum I was furious to find out that I then was told I had to buy a data SIM card to make the traffic system work. I was totally insulted. I then found out that the factory fitted Tracker was not fit for purpose and would not be accepted by my insurance company, so I had to have a higher category of Tracker fitted. More hassle and more expense. The engine auto stop/start function is a complete joke for a vehicle of such supposed quality. When this dire function kicks in, the car rocks like a dump truck on a building site. Truly awful. After a few months, a piece of trim in the roof came adrift. Without doubt, this has been the most disappointing motoring of my entire life. I will never buy again any JLR product, either new or used. JLR, for the sake of a data SIM card, have lost a customer forever.

Words cannot describe my frustration with the service I have received from the various Land Rover dealerships here in DE and PA. Anything from not receiving a call back at all, selling me rims with chipped powder coating that they could not remedy, shop foreman telling me that my car does not have keyless entry when it did (and he was not able to get it working), to waiting almost 3 hours in the service department with nothing done on my car only to learn that the staff was out to lunch for most of that time... The list goes on and on. *By far the most unprofessional & disorganized bunch of meatheads I have ever met -- consistently bad experience between the below dealerships: Wilmington, DE, Willow Grove, PA, West Chester, PA.Im left to believe that this is just business as usual for Land Rover, which only reinforces the thought that I should have never left Mercedes and BMW (West Chester, PA). Those dealership service departments were PHENOMENAL!!! Going to ride out the remaining 1 year warranty then get back to a car that I know, can provide better service. I love my car, just hate the service Ive received to date. Good luck consumers.

I have been in love with my 2013 Evoque up until about 65K miles when a belt had to be replaced for $2,000. I let it slide. Now at 70,000 miles, I need a whole new engine. The fourth cylinder no longer has compression, so it is only running on three cylinders and cannot be driven. I have kept up with all regular service and have taken very good care of this vehicle. The dealership is unable to offer any sort of explanation or concern as to why this would happen to an engine with only 70K miles on it. A new motor is estimated at $15 to $20K. As much as I loved driving this vehicle, I thought I would be a Range Rover customer for life. Never again.

Transmission replacement was declined while under warranty. I had taken my vehicle in for issues with the transmission. I brought these issues to the attention of the dealership while the vehicle was still under an extended warranty. They kept the vehicle for several weeks at a time and did not make any repairs to the transmission. My transmission continues to show signs of impending failure. I took the vehicle back in to have the issue addressed and they said that the transmission needed replacing; however, due to the extended warranty expiration, the repairs to the transmission will be at my expense. The service manager at Livermore Land Rover said that there are several notes in my service records that I had concerns with the transmission problems. I have sought an attorney. However, his suggestion is for me to take the consumer affair route first as he sees that the case is very simple. A preexisting condition is the responsibility of the car company to repair.

I purchased a 2015 Land Rover LR4 HSE LUX in December 2014. A couple weeks later I started hearing an intermittent high-pitched sound from the dash. I have not been able to pinpoint what causes the noise. It doesnt matter whether or not I have the heat or AC on. I have had the car back to the dealership several times, for weeks at a time. They have admitted there is a problem, but they have not identified a fix. They have told me 3 other customers at my local dealership have the same complaint, but they have no answers. I have been in touch with both Land Rover North America Headquarters and the BBB. I have tried to evoke the SC Lemon Law. I have been told the noise does not qualify because it is not a safety issue. So here I am with a very expensive car that makes an obnoxious high-pitched noise and I can do nothing about it. I have never been more frustrated!

In August of 2017 I special ordered a Range Rover Sport diesel. In 20,000 miles I have had in for service (only required once at 16K) on 5 different occasions. While the Dealership is fine, the car isnt. Its what I would call a major disappointment. One of the selling points for the car was the fact that it needed servicing only every 16,000 miles. What they didnt tell you was the car needed to be brought in approximately every 4,000 miles to have diesel fluid installed. Each trip to the Dealer takes about 2 hours to install the fluid (approximately 15 liters). This is the 5th diesel car that I have owned and the FIRST that would not make it from one service to the next without. In addition there have been 3 major software updates on the car since I have owned it. The bottom line is the car is overpriced and a pain to own. It is my first and my last. It is not a very reliable vehicle and certainly a headache to own.

In January 2012, we experienced a blow out on front driver side of our 2008 Black Range Rover, which tore up the wiring harness that was above the wheel well. Land Rover was unable to secure parts to fix the vehicle, namely the wiring harness, for seven months. During the seven months they had the vehicle, they had told us they would take care our financial costs to rent a vehicle during this time due to them not being able to loan us a car from the dealership. They have now refused to help with any of the $3,944 worth of expenses we incurred from renting another vehicle to drive during that seven months. They have been terrible to deal with and are liars. After dozens of emails and phone calls to them during these seven months confirming that they would reimburse the charges after the vehicle was fixed, they have basically now said they cant do anything for us. I will never ever purchase another Land Rover. Our insurance paid out over $18,000 to them to repair the vehicle and they still treat their customers unfairly. We couldnt be any more disappointed in this establishment - not only disappointment in their ability to secure parts in a timely fashion but also in their unfair treatment of customers. This is the first review I have ever written so you know the magnitude of our disappointment.

Updated on 01/23/2020: Leased brand new 2017 Land Rover Discovery HSE TD6 AWD. Family of 6 so we need to have the third row and this vehicle promised to combine comfort, reliability, and luxury. None of those things were true. The vehicle was delivered to us with the interior drivers door panel detached and hanging from wires. Windows would not open and radio/information panel acting weird. Problems were repaired only to have water coming from upper center console leaking into cabin two weeks later. 10 days to repair. Few weeks later car starts to surge and vibrate loudly when we travelled more than 65 miles/hr. Another few weeks of repair. Over the past 26 months of ownership problems have ranged from the annoying to the absurd: -leaky windshield/sunroof (3 times repaired and still leaking) -electrical glitches with entertainment console -hood cable snapped twice - one time the vehicle would not start because I had to add DEF fluid but couldnt open the hood to add it! -car found dead and unresponsive on driveway needing to be hauled away by dealership on a flatbed because they couldnt even open the doors (never was given a reason as to what caused this other than theyve never seen this before) -defrost fan screaming when turned to max (blower fan changed out twice) -vehicle groans after 65 miles/hr and the noise is so loud the driver and front passenger need to raise their voices to speak to each other (problem still exists even though weve taken car in 6 times for repair - service says they have no idea) -windshield wipers messed up -whistling noise in cabin when on highway - service cant find air leak-condensation inside cabin every day making everything moist and stickySave yourself the hassle and aggravation. Most frustrating, annoying vehicle experience Ive ever came across. Dealership was zero help and never proposed any solutions or resolve. Ive spoken to the general, manager, service manager, sales team and they all shrug tell me ride out my lease. I personally contacted Land Rover and expressed my distress on this and they spent 2 months researching this only to come back with the obvious that the vehicle is a dud. They agreed to purchase the vehicle from me (now only 11 months to go on the lease and most of the negative equity has been paid for by yours truly) BUT ONLY if I purchase a new vehicle from them. So I guess they figure they can treat their customers like crap and then try to force them to get stuck with another one of their crummy vehicles and do it all with a smile on their face and make it seem like they are doing you the favor. Screw Land Rover. Visit my site for more **.Original Review: Purchased a brand new 2017 Discovery HSE Diesel and it has been the worst vehicle. I’ve never written a review before but the public needs to be warned about these vehicles. Problems range from the annoying to the absurd. So far I’ve dealt with leaky windshields (yes, three times), leaky sunroof, water coming into the center console, door panels detaching from their clips and hanging by wires, electrical glitches that get “fixed” by magical updates which require 3 days in service, hood cable snapped twice, car battery dead even though car locked and sitting in driveway with no lights on (had to be hauled on flat bed - service department says they’ve never seen that before and no cause found but took them 3 weeks to get the car back to me), windshield wiper issues, acceleration issues in cold weather, surging when speed hits 60 km/hr, no heat, defrost fan screaming when set to max and I’m sure half a dozen other issues that I’ve forgotten. Save yourself the pain and anguish. This car has spent months in service. It is the worst vehicle made in the last 2 decades.

The car offers DVD, good size video screens, the power is magnificent, for towing anything is the best. It is high-performance and the HSE. It has InControl smartphone app integration and it offers Driver Assistance package, includes a lane-departure warning system and 360-degree parking sensors. It also include standard satellite and HD radio across the lineup. You have to drive it to experience. There is enough room for both the passengers and the luggage you carry. It is suitable for the family, small to large, sitting area gives enough leg room for the tallest, and seats recliner positions good.Mine is the old shape but does not differ from the newer shapes, as the most features are the same, the electronics, the in-car entertainment is the best, and space for luggage. I could upgrade certain features in the car like your motor plan, and the main onboard computer. When you buy it new, you can select own color, size wheels and much more.

Purchased a fully loaded 2018 RR Sport on Friday and drove home without issue. The next morning the climate and info system begin shutting down and restarting every 30 seconds. Had the car taken to the dealer Sunday and luckily got ahold of the bank to stop any money from making it to the dealer. Just told them to keep the car. I’m not paying around $100k for a vehicle that needs a repair within 13 hours of driving off the lot. Car had 80 miles on it when I bought it. The fact Land Rover can’t seem to produce a fully functional vehicle amazes me. They essentially make a gorgeous expensive car that looks great on the back of a flatbed truck. Wish a company would buy Land Rover that would then focus more on quality. I was in love with the car but couldn’t be more disappointed with the result. Luckily the dealer was reasonable and let me walk understanding how frustrating this was for me.

My 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged V8 was a wonderful car to drive, beautiful interior, looked amazing from the outside as well. I didnt have any complaints with it other than it was expensive to repair when things came up, and they did. But I knew what I was getting into and when you buy an expensive, luxury vehicle you expect this. What I didnt expect was a timing chain failure that destroyed the engine at 77,000 miles. What made this worse were a couple things.I apparently was wrong about the extended warranty I purchased. The dealer played the extended warranty as a way to buy extra coverage once the manufacturers warranty ended. This would have given me coverage for another year and or up to 80k mileage, which is what I thought I bought. Apparently Rovers dont get that type of coverage offered to customers because insurance companies know the issues are common in Rovers so they only offer extended warrantys that coincide with the manufacturers. Tells you something about their track record. I obviously didnt read the fine print on the warranty I bought and missed it covering this tragedy by 3k miles and 3 months. To fix the engine on this vehicle you have to replace it with a used one (about $12k) if you can find it or a new one ($30k). When I started digging into this I found out that Land Rovers V8 supercharged engines (also in Jaguar) have this timing chain failure happen all the time. I called a mechanic who specialized in Jag and Land Rovers and I began telling him my problem. He took over the conversation and began asking me questions like (is it a 2010-16?, is it the V8 supercharged? was it a timing chain failure? Did it have around 80k miles on it?). I was blown away as if he was a mind reader or something. Turns out, this happens so often and he repairs them so frequently that he knew exactly the situation I was in. He said its typically a $7-8k service call. That it happens all the time. I was really pissed off as you can imagine. My dealer was downplaying it like I was just some unfortunate person, like one in a million that this happens to. As I went online and started searching for information on this I realized that this is flaw in Land Rover/Jaguars v8 supercharged engines across their entire line. They know it. They deny it. And my guess is because buyers of these vehicles like myself have money, they just chalk it up as darn this must be my bad luck, oh well and dont say anything or make a big deal about it.Im not either other than writing this review I guess but my valued at $30k rover I had to salvage for $7k while I still owed $16k on the loan. I lost $23k in value because of a common engine component failure. Will I buy this great looking, good handling, awesome car ever again... no. So for all of you out there who want to own or do own one of these Jag/Land Rover V8s... Be very aware of this problem. It could cost you a bundle.

The problem is the dealer really doesnt know what or how to diagnose or fix the problem. I bought my 3rd Land Rover in 2017 after a long hiatus (after issues in 1998/2003). Almost immediately the infotainment screen began blacking out and rebooting all the time. It took 3 days for them to update this, it worked a bit better but it was not perfect. Whenever I called in for service, they would ask me if I was SURE I wanted to get it fixed (like, are you SURE you want to wait for how long its going to take us) because they dont have loaner cars, and the technicians are slow to get to issues. This was April 2017. Forward to December. I am driving out of my neighborhood (I am at 5500 altitude) and I accelerate aggressively to get around an 18 wheeler as I am getting into high speed traffic coming down the mountain. My accelerator pulls from my foot, is flush with the floor, and tips at 85 mph with the RPM gauge redlining at 8000. The car is wobbling and shaking, I have zero control of it. I press the brake several times pretty hard/gentle and it finally pops out. I never drove the car again. (Note, the service person had the audacity to ask if I was sure I wasnt accidentally driving with both feet. Right. 1st gear at 8000 RPM. With my right foot on the brake. Yeah). Car was towed back to the dealership where I got it, 500 miles away, they offered me a decent trade amount, I trade up to a Supercharged regular Range Rover, with a hefty price tag. They put this car above back out on the lot for sale a few days later. The new car has issues almost immediately. The steering wheel jerking into left and right lanes at high speeds out of the blue. Techs said, Oh disable your lane assist. So I did that, no help. I almost was jerked into an 18 wheeler on a curve on a highway in the rain the next day going 65mph. Then they say, Oh, disable your blind spot warning. I did this as well. Of no help. I go in and uncheck the driver assist for both options, and it seems to help some. Then of course the black screen starts its visits, rebooting in the middle of driving or not coming on at all. Bluetooth calls dropping. The gear shift dial sticking (cant D to R or R to D or P) and with the computer rebooting randomly, coming back on during driving, all the cameras go nuts and start making sounds all over the place until it realizes that the car is actually DRIVING now, not trying to park. The dealership refunded my money for this one. I am forever grateful for that, they did step up. They did imply that LRs were more for appeal and looks and status than reliability and dependability. They say, its a great car if you are ok with being in the shop, even better to live near one. I got a GMC Yukon Denali yesterday. Its amazing, and my breakup with Land Rover is complete. The accelerator incident was one of the scariest events of my life. I am not a panicky person, but I had nightmares for weeks after that one.

Dealership had my car for four months and returned it with numerous issues just to get their loaner back and shove the car out the door. Came back with a busted windshield, door handle, tire pressure and balance issues as well as a filthy interior. They likely broke the windshield when they removed it to replace the front harness but say it was a poorly repaired recall item from the past. They told me to bring back their loaner and go rent a car and pay for it out of pocket. They offered first to pay my lodging since the delayed parts derailed my travel, then rescinded the offer. The owner even said that I must have done something to it to cause a 2016 Evoque with only 30K miles to completely fail. I assure you, my use of the vehicle has been quite tame, even outright boring compared with the shenanigans you see on the Land Rover Commercials.Land Rover has lost what would have been a customer for life. I fell in love with this beautiful car but its beauty belied the many problems under the surface. In May 2019 I leased a 2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport from Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton. Several issues occurred with the management of the lease and the transition did not occur with ease. I was charged a few thousand dollars more than the accepted offer but the dealership was reluctant to take responsibility or explain the difference. I was excited about driving the vehicle so I let these things go. Unfortunately in June 2019 I started having issues with the vehicle so I instead travelled to Jaguar Land Rover Calgary to rectify my issues there to hopefully gain a different experience. Some issues were resolved (bearings, water pump) after extensive persistence on my part but there was a reoccurring issue with the transmission. I took the vehicle in 5 times and nothing was resolved. I involved Jaguar Land Rover North America on three separate occasions for assistance when the vehicle got worse, and other events occurred. The vehicle became less reliable to drive and on July 29, 2020 I experienced severe jerking, struggles to change gears, mis-shifting, and slipping of the gears. It was of great concern. The vehicle was towed back to Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton and I was told there was “nothing wrong with the vehicle” by the General Manager. Another manager told me “that is how discovery sports drive.” I know others that drive discovery sports and they have had zero issues. @Landrover North America told me “the vehicle was repaired” but all that was done is the factory settings were reset. They didn’t look at the transmission nor did a Foreman drive the vehicle. I was told by others outside the dealership and the manufacturer that it was a transmission problem. I wonder, do they want to duplicate the issue? I asked for a new vehicle because of all the issues but instead Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton and Jaguar Land Rover North America threatened to tell the bank I abandoned the vehicle if I did not pick it up. The General Manager in Edmonton told me “I am not losing money on that vehicle. It is a bad investment.” Yet they leased me the vehicle. The vehicle had been previously purchased by another and returned with 400km. My lawyer sent a demand letter to Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton and Land Rover North America to try and find a resolution but they ignored the Letter. They just kept passing blame onto each other. Lawyers told me it could cost me thousands of dollars to make them accountable but my lease would be close to done before that likely happened. @Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council (AMVIC) could not help me due to a “gap in the legislation.” I have not driven the vehicle since the incident occurred in July 2020 but I am still making full payments. It has been in my garage since it was towed back from Edmonton but it was returned with a broken mirror. After reviewing my options, I decided to reach out to the VP at Go Auto Luxury Platform who owns the Edmonton and Calgary dealerships to try find a Win Win solution. After several emails and a telephone conversation he agreed in several emails to lease me a new vehicle for list price and no penalty for returning my other vehicle. He sent me all the details and price of the car. I confirmed there were no other amounts I would need to pay. I travelled to Edmonton from Red Deer to test drive the vehicle to ensure it was what they say it was. When I agreed to the vehicle the price of the vehicle showed up approximately $5, 500 more than list price. If I didn’t notice it then they would have gotten away with charging me more again. The VP at Go Auto later told me it was the “short fall” in my current lease, which is a penalty. I offered to meet him halfway and pay half of the penalty (short fall) but he will not negotiate further and unless I pay the penalty, have larger lease payments, and sign a new lease for another 42 months, I am stuck with a vehicle that looks pretty in my garage. I am told it still has too much left on the lease to do anything about it. Land Rover North America stopped corresponding with me and do not take responsibility for the vehicle and Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton and Go Auto have also not returned my emails. I feel unsafe driving the vehicle and I certainly will not place my grandbaby in the vehicle and take the chance of something happening. I am hoping they will honour their agreements. In advocating for myself in the past five months I have been gaslighted, lied to, threatened, and now ignored. I am a social worker and now I only hope I can advocate for others so this does not happen to them.

Received new Range Rover HSE Diesel on December 26th, 2019. Took it to dealership in February with only 4,000 miles because brakes began to vibrate and thump. Four months later and after speaking to five different people, Ive now been referred to a Regional Manager. I have been consistently told that there are no rotors and brake pads in stock. What? How could this be when they continue to produce new vehicles. The brakes now vibrate so violently that I dont feel safe, but JLR says its not a problem. Additionally, while my RR Diesel was extremely quiet when I purchased it, it began to sound like your typical tractor-trailer about the same time the brakes went bad. The dealer told me there was an additive for diesel engines as this was a known problem for vehicles operating in higher altitudes. I live at 7,000, so I accepted this answer. However, they apparently dont have the additive because this issue is still awaiting resolution as well. My wife also drives a RR HSE, but Id have to say we are done with JLR.

This vehicle is awesome. The drive is smooth and soothing. Almost like riding in an airplane. The seating is like sitting in your recliner riding down the road. The instrument panel also give you that airplane feel. The steering wheel has that ergonomic feel. The manufacturer has stop at nothing to make you feel special even after the sale. When you get this baby home all heads will turn. Heck your garage might even give you a high five after you drive this baby in. This is by far the best vehicle I have seen in the past decade. You will think so too after a drive.

I had a 2008 Range Rover L3222 HSE NA 2008. I loved it! At about 54,850 km, I started getting intermittent reduced engine efficiency warnings that began to result in engine not starting and not cracking, only switches on. Check on touch screen display cuts off by it while driving at normal speed. Sometimes, it shows blank screen. Check engine light occasionally would come on as well. I had my mechanic replace Battery and cable assy. For repairs and troubles, I took it to the Land Rover dealer (Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Motors which cost me S.R. 3,778). Same problem repeating soon after two days from the repair. Now, the Land Rover dealer informed me of steering problem which would cost me around S.R. 18,000 plus. Please advise.

Range Rover 2010 Sport - I love this car... Its like riding a baby pony that wants to go go go... I also own a Porsche 911 Turbo and as far as speed and agility go, the Range Rover cant be beat for an SUV. After reading some of the prior reviews, I agree that if you want to drive this car, you need to treat it like gold and have the $$$ to pay for consequences. Ive had my car in for several things that were covered under warranty but were a pain in the **. Make sure to get an extended warranty. It will pay for all the quirks and issues that definitely will happen. An oil change and tuneup will cost you upwards of $700 (warranty doesnt cover that!). And if you lose your key, be prepared to spend another $600. Im a mom with 4 kids and we all love this car... the status, the speed and the luxury... It comes with a price tag well beyond the $85,000 you spend on it though. I just had new brakes put on and another $1,900 later, am holding my breath until the next issue (maintenance or wear and tear) happens. Bottom line, this is an amazing vehicle... Land Rover needs to work on the high price tag, back charging after purchase and stop nickle and diming their loyal customers for literally everything.

I got my first new Land Rover, a Freelander 2 TD4 manual, in 2011. I’ve read the stories, I know about the unreliability. Consequently, I was a bit surprised that it took 18 months and 50,000 miles before an engine warning light came on. Land Rover were out within half an hour, diagnosed it as a faulty sensor and got it fixed right away. At just over 2 year and about 75,000 miles, it came up with a message that there was a rear diff ECU fault which was quickly fixed under warranty. At 90,000 miles I passed it to a colleague who has taken it over 165,000 miles and counting and he’s needed a new rear diff and it’s first clutch. He’s still running it and has no plans to replace it. I don’t think that’s at all bad; perhaps all those who write one star reviews might see it differently?I then moved on to a 12,000 mile and one year old version of the same thing. Over the next year and 35,000 miles, it went about its business with just one odd fault - every week or so, the car would stutter for half a moment under power; nothing dangerous, or even annoying, just a characteristic really. I complained about it anyway and when Land Rover admitted that they had no fix, they made a generous offer to subsidise a swap for another FL2, but a top of the range SD4 automatic this time. That car was a complete gem and loved it to bits, without a single fault over the following 12 months/35,000 miles. However, I had a complete rush of blood to the head and stupidly traded in for a brand new Discover 4. Surely, this money pit had to be my undoing? Nope. The nicest car I’d has to date, with the only “fault” being squeaky rear brakes that were easily fixed. Unfortunately, Land Rover then introduced the nasty new Discovery 5 and I panicked. I had wanted to keep the Discovery 4 for a while, but decided to buy one of the last new D4’s before it was too late. Unfortunately, it was already too late. But, I did manage to trade my 1 year (and, you’ve guessed it) 35,000 mile old D4 in for a beautiful green 12,000 mile old D4 HSE Luxury...Which was very nice. However, after adding another 20-25,000 miles or so, it broke down. This time it was off the road for a month while they had to diagnose and replace a, very dead, high pressure fuel pump. It’s a big, body off, job to replace. Very expensive and very time consuming, no doubt, but why should I care? It was all done under warranty and they kept me in nice loaners too. When I spoke to Land Rover about the amount of time it took, they completely blew me away! They asked me what my dream Land Rover was and they then subsidised an extraordinarily large amount of money to make a top of the range Range Rover vaguely affordable and weapons grade “man maths” bridged the remaining gap!8 Months and 24,000 miles later, I’m chuffed to bits with my Range Rover SDV8 and wouldn’t part with it for any other car in the world. All being well, I’d like to hang on the this until well past 250,000 miles. In conclusion, the cars have been brilliant, the build quality has been superb and the reliability has been well up to the mark. Where things have gone wrong, Land Rover have been first rate and have gone above and beyond in restoring my faith in them. I have no wish to go elsewhere.

I was driving my 2013 Range Rover Evoque earlier today and the steering failed and it started to makes a screeching noise. Fortunately no one was hurt but I was very disturbed by feedback I have received from x3 Land Rover garages. Each from my description of the fault has diagnosed it as a steering rack failure. One mechanic confirmed that this is a common fault and Land Rover recalled 2012 models to rectify this. I have been advised that there is a 3-4 week lead-time to fix due to a backlog in parts indicating that there is a high failure rate and the cost will be approximately £3,000 for a car that has only done 45,000 miles and 6 months out of warranty. I am in the process of ordering the parts but wondered if anyone else has seen this issue as I think it is highly dangerous and should be investigated. I have filed a complaint to the Driving Standards Agency, curious to see if anyone else has experienced this problem.

I have written a review before on this site but this time after 6 years of being in court with Land Rover. I can now tell you everything what has happened. First I have owned 6 Range Rovers and up to the last one I bought from Lloyds Land Rover in Carlisle UK dealer. I had little or no problems with the cars. But then I bought a new sport HSE with the new Jaguar engine 3 litre. From the start this car was a lemon. After only driving less than 200 miles I had a fault when I was driving along it would pull up for no reason. The dash would light up with all kinds of failed components such as hill decent fail brake assist fail engine management fail gearbox fail just about everything.I would then ring Lloyds of Carlisle up and complain that the car has stopped again. This happened several times. I was getting sick. I had just bought this car at a cost of over 65 thousand pound of my very hard earned money. At that price you would think you would have no trouble. This was not the case.I told the garage that I wanted the car fixed so I was asked by Lloyds of Carlisle to take the car in and could I leave it for 3 days. I agreed to this. On the third day Lloyds rang me up and told me that the car was fixed and I would have no more bother with it again. This was on the Friday around 5:30 that weekend we used my wifes car as my new Range Rover had let us down so many times before. On the Monday morning I got into the Range Rover 30th November 2009. I was going to a site meeting at Lochmaben. This was the first phase of 30 houses we started for DGHP possible 5 thousand houses that was getting upgraded and I had a chance of that work. When I was driving the car just out of Lloyds of Carlisle I reached a speed of between 60 - 70 MPH. All of a sudden without warning the cars brakes activated and I came to an abrupt stop. I hit my head on the headrest. Also my left hand was pushed into the steering wheel. I did not know what had happened at all. It was so fast. At first I did think something hit me from the rear but when I gained composure nothing had hit me. The only way I could describe what happened was it was like an emergency stop. I was very angry. I rang the garage from the car and told them what had happened that I was rejecting the car. I did not want it anymore. When I got to the garage I told ** all about it. By this time my neck was hurting a bit also my left hand. Lloyds gave me a loan car and I was told that somebody would ring me later that day. I drove home rang the site gave my apologies told them what had happened that I would not be on site that day. As the day went on my neck got worse so I decided not to go in that week. I struggled on for about 8 week until my wife forced me to go to the doctors from that day. The rest was history. I was x-rayed and I was told that I had shattered my neck after 3 operations on my spine. I am now in a wheelchair and never worked from that day.I had to pay off my workers and close my company down. I lost out in a big way a contract worth tens of thousands of pounds. I tried to sort it out with Land Rover but it was a joke. I was offered 20 thousand pounds plus replacement car at no charge. To me I accepted the car but when that was delivered after about 25 miles it developed the same problem. I was so angry but when I phoned up Lloyds of Carlisle I was told that the problem had been found and had been recalled. It went in. I was told it had sensors replaced and software upgrade had been done. I sold the car soon after but that car before it had done 20 thousand miles the engine had blown up. I did not know about all the problems Jaguar Land Rover had with their cars. If I did I would not be in the condition I am today as I could not sort out some sort of compensation with them and decided to take them to court after the biggest cover up by Land Rover in court. They lied in court to win committed perjury. The judge also said to me that I was trying to besmirch the good name of a first class company. He was under the impression that nothing like I said went wrong with their product dont know if he got a new car out of it or not.All I know is that after six year it was a farce. The only problem is I dont have the money to take them to the high court in London. If there is anyone out there has similar faults with their Range Rovers give me a call or email me as if something is not done to sort out this company. Someone will be killed because of the cars they make. According to Land Rover nothing ever goes wrong with their cars? Email is ** phone is **. Feel free to call or email me. It would help. Thanks.

I really enjoy SUVs and thats why I went to Land Rover in the first place. To get a nice, big reliable SUV. My SUV is the color black and it has a very sleek color. It is quite large but not too large that it is difficult to park. It is also very boxy but not in an ugly way. Overall I think the car looks great. The SUV can fit 8 people and still has room for bags, suitcases, grocery and JUST more leg room in general which makes it more comfortable for the passenger.

Last year, when I decided to buy a new car, I was in a dilemma, but my choice was Disco LR4. I watched a lot of models, among other things I considered the new Mercedes GLC, however, the new LR4 is love at first sight. I choose version with a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine with 180 hp, as well as a nine-speed ZF automatic transmission. When it comes to the fuel economy Im very satisfied, but when it comes to the acceleration Im not so satisfied. We can not say that this is sports car, although it has a label Sport. But for me speed isnt the primary, so I cant take this as a major objection to the model. All in all, this model has my recommendation, so if you are looking for a roomy SUV with robust design then this is the right choice for you, and for me this is definitely the number one SUV on the market. It seems to me that Land Rover has never faster announced a successor of some model. I read that a new LR5 will be presented by the end of this year. I do not know what to think, except that this is not confirmed rumors, because I cant see what can they improve with new version, except some more powerful powertrain options. 2012 Range Rover Evoque - I purchased this car in September 2017. Shortly after, I noticed the interior of my car smelling like gas. When I brought the car into my local Land Rover dealership for service I told them about the constant odor. Unfortunately they said they did not smell it. About a month later I brought it in for service and told them the problem still existed, once it went unresolved. So now I have it back in for the same problem, and I hope that someone resolves this. This strong gas smell is literally making me feel sick, anyone who gets in my car notices and they dont feel safe. My problem is that my warranty ends in days and I do not want this to now be a huge problem for me. Has anyone ever had a similar experience? Help.

The variety of models is great. Land Rover lets you choose the car that right for you that fix your spending budget they have on the most perfect update models of the car. The features and appearance are one of the best things about a car, and the fact that you can get the possibility to design your own car is amazing and it seems pretty cool being able to upgrade your vehicle/car. Within the first month my navigation and center council kept on shooting off. They could or fix this even though the tech from England tried to remotely fix this. After thirty days they replaced the entire wiring and later on I sue and won 8k. Then I see the same violent leak and it was water pump and I have this again after 4 years. Then the gauge in the gas tank broke/stuck and I was left in middle of highway. Beautiful car even after 4 years but crappy workmanship. Its my second purchase of a Range Rover. The first was excellent but the second is junk! The car (2015 Range Rover) was fine until it went in for the second service to the Miami dealership. It had normal service plus tire rotation, balance and alignment. It took 3 days which is absurd for 4-5 hours of work. They delivered it back to me and I drove it that night. When it reached 65mph it began shaking and I mean shaking apart. How could it go in perfect and come out a mess with 12k miles? After the second attempt to repair the problem, I was told I had an out of round tire. I was very confused. I called the tire manufacturer and they were more confused than me. They said for the sequence of what had taken place thus far, it was impossible. Still no smooth ride so it went in again. I started thinking about how when I accelerate from a stop into a turn, it seems that one of the tires jerks sometimes. This began when the car was new. When I spoke to my service writer, he had the service manager ride with me and just by chance it did the jerking motion again. The manager said it was normal traction control. Why did I dismiss it so quickly? Im not the expert is the true answer. Did that cause the out of round tire? Now it jerks all the time and shakes at 65mph and higher speeds. To make a long story short, Ive used the Lemon Law of the state consumer protection laws. The dealership had another attempt to repair but it has only gotten worse. I then met with the GM who agreed it doesnt ride smooth. Get new tires and bring it in for a trade was his advice. So I did and the deal for the trade was an additional $8000 and my lease payment went up to $2100. I just stood up and walked out. Thank goodness I saved every email to corporate, which by the way was worthless. 35 emails with proof of dealership lies, the invoices of five attempts, every text message and voicemail backed up with the AT&T bills, 3 witnesses and a law degree is the backup I have. The state and I will send a message to Land Rover loud and clear.

From my perspective, Ive had far too many issues with this $55K SUV. I purchased the car from Land Rover (Lake Bluff) as a lightly driven dealer demo (approximately 2,500 miles on the odometer). Current mileage is 15K. Since buying the car Ive had it into the dealer for several small issues - trim on driver seat popped off, driver seat squeaking and noise, car stalled during a rain store due to water getting into turbo charger intake, driver side headlight burned out, seal around back hatch was damaged due to design of hatch (not covered by LR), under carriage splash guard broke while driving on snowy/icy Chicago toll way (not covered by LR). Not very impressive for a car that still smells new.Prior to this, I owned an LR2 for (3) years. Great car but I had a ton of issues with the AWD system, car was at the dealer multiple times for the same issue. LR finally agreed to pay to replace the entire AWD on my 4th or 5th visit. Constant leaking problems from rear of car. Paid $35K for this car. My first LR was a 1999 4.6 HSE. Loved this car but it also had tons of issues. Electrical, leaks, air ride system failure, airbags, engine leaks, interior (head liner), exhaust system, computer issues (heating/cooling), etc. - $76K vehicle. LR gave me $1,200 for a trade w/ 80K on the odometer.

I have been a lease holder with the Larchmont, New Rochelle Land Rover Deal
I have been a lease holder with the Larchmont, New Rochelle Land Rover Dealership since 2003. The first lease I had was a 2003 Freelander which I returned in 2006. In March 2006, I leased a used 2005 LR3. Although this vehicle is considered to be of great prestige, I have had nothing but problems with this particular model. The first fault that I noticed with this vehicle occurred after the first four months. The vehicle stalled on me while driving it at 70 miles an hour. If I would not have known to place the gear shift lever in neutral and then turn the engine back on, I cannot imagine what could have happened to me and my family. The car stalled a second time soon after and I decided to bring it in for service at Larchmont, New Rochelle and I was informed that it was a problem with the suspension module. Although the problem was resolved, these incidents left me doubtful while driving the LR3. Once again, the vehicle stalled on the highway and again I was left to move the gear shift lever to neutral to turn the engine on. I called Land Rover of Larchmont and I was asked to bring the vehicle in and I was told that the module was defected and had to be replaced again. The vehicle is at the beginning of its life with only 18900 miles. I have experienced other problems such as, an electrical problem which prevented me from opening the vehicle using the key remotes, apparently due to electrical wiring becoming wet from water entering the vehicle. The week after again another problem, the air conditioner was not working. The driver side was blowing out cool air and the passenger side was blowing out hot air. As you can read from the numerous incidents I have listed above, I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. I am asking for a resolution to my ongoing problems with this particular vehicle such as a replacement truck with minimal problems and or an early termination of the lease. I have been a good customer to Land Rover, always keeping my lease agreement and I have never missing a payment in return I expect Land Rover to accommodate me with a quality product for the price I am paying.

Our Range Rover Sport 2015 with 47,000kms under 3 years old goes into limp mode and JLR service says it needs a new engine. Although still under warranty they refuse to replace the engine, firstly they say we put the wrong oil in it...this is tested and proven incorrect. Next they say warranty is refused because you cannot supply the entire service history (we purchased vehicle from an auction). We finally track down the original owner and provide the entire service history which is in the perimeters of warranty terms. Still JLR press on for statutory declarations and proof of genuine parts. This goes on for 8 months while JLR try their hardest to squirm their way out of honouring the Warranty. After 8 long months without our vehicle and being treated with distain by JLR Customer Support we finally got a new engine which we were always entitled to. In summary nice comfortable car to drive but will Never buy another Range Rover or product from JLR...Pick up your game JLR, build vehicles that last and have a really good look at your customer service practices.

Theres a lot of colors and styles to choose from. Its well built and has shiny paint, nice seats and dashboard. The setup of the whole vehicle is very stylish and comfortable. It has matching colors and easy to read. Also has bright lights in and out. The clock works and can be read easy. I love the radio, too. The windshield is perfect and clear, and powerful wipers. Also, the back up, brake and headlights are strong. There is enough leg room for all my long legged passengers. There is enough seat space to be comfortable, and can even carpool. You can customize it in anyway they have available. But I wouldnt change too much of the vehicle from its already amazing design. Simple and up to date is best. Moreover, safety is top in this vehicle.

My Range Rover Sport April 2018 sustained a minor rear end shunt on the 14 May and since then the vehicle has been off road because the tailgate will not remain closed and Land Rover cannot provide a replacement or indeed give any indication of when the relevant parts will be available, I know they are called off road vehicles but this is taking the term too literal. Should manufacturers be allowed to sell vehicle and then fail to keep them on the road due to lack of back up. Don’t buy a Land Rover.

Its flat out amazing. The s and r series are awesome. They are of high quality and design. Also recommend the a series as they have back up rear cameras, automatic breaks and wifi. Outstanding. Every single detail is beyond perfect. The leather throws in luxurious class combined with state of the art tech. Also the paint finishes, tinted windows and turbo are grey. I got a wheel drive and traction emergency roadside assistance, first aid kit, concealed storage, gps tracking, beats audio system, and hyper LED headlamps. Also, most Rovers have a enough room for a small family of 5. Its roomy and comfortable for all to enjoy perfect for road trips and family outings.

I am a British Citizen, working and living in Austria. As such, I decided to buy a British car, a Range Rover Sport Hybrid Autobiography Dynamic. What made me choose this car was due to the fact the advertised fuel efficiency figure of combined 6.2 litres per 100 km. I ordered this car back in September 2015 from Austria, and got the car delivered to me in mid January 2016. I was very excited to get the car, however this excitement quickly turned into a nightmare the more I drove the car.Having driven over 9000 km since I got the car, I notice that the average fuel consumption is more like 12 litres per 100km, which is nearly double the advertised combined figure for fuel efficiency of 6.2 litres. Not only did I pay a premium to get a hybrid car, but also I will end up paying twice more for the fuel. I am thinking of getting in touch with news channels, my lawyer, and create website blog regarding what I call scandalous situation with great misleading information from Land Rover that made me buy this car, which fails to deliver on the fuel efficiency. I write as a last attempt to the Land Rover UK to see if somebody at Land Rover UK is willing to take some responsibility on this matter, to accept that Land Rover made a mistake with the advertised fuel efficiency figures for this hybrid car. Bottom line; what I am hoping to achieve is to be able to return this car, or Land Rover to take some responsibility in this matter, and compensate me for the losses I will incur say over 10 years of running this car (which I in detail calculated in the below email trail, and around 24K Euros).

I bought the new Land Rover Disco in June 2018 and it has been at the dealership for more than half the time of my ownership. This is my first JLR vehicle and very disappointed. Issue with Diesel engine jerking and acts like it is stalling every morning after cold start for almost a minute - it will not let me accelerate. Big safety issue. Then there is the Infotainment system - it just hangs and the rearview camera is choppy initially - objects suddenly appear dangerously close when the camera refreshes.Dropped it off at dealer to get these issues checked - they took 1 month to supposedly resolve the issues - however they found the windshield to be leaking (on a 4 month old car). This took almost 1.5 months to arrive (heated windshield) from UK. After installing it, they found none of the electronics will power on - apparently water damage was found in both electronic controllers and they are currently replacing them. After 3.5 months I still did not get my vehicle back. With the water damage I am seriously concerned about mold and breathing it continuously through the AC system. Its a safety hazard. This is ridiculous and just bad quality control. Its a Safety and Health Hazard. JLR needs to ditch the buggy infotainment system - at some point a good business needs to realize when to cut the losses and switch to a different option.

Land Rover has a lot of different selection of cars on their car lot. I think I made a good decision based on the price and the selection that they currently had on hand. They have the most up to date cars on the market. They dont have any junk and they can only sell the best since they do ask for a lot of money as a down payment. They let you upgrade your car just as long as you have the money to do it. You can customize your car too for your style. I like the way it makes me feel. You can fit all that you need to fit. There is a lot of passengers room as well as trunk space. You can carry all your luggage and extras you may need to bring with you.

I bought a 2004 Range Rover on 5/12/12 from this dealership (Vision Custom Car). Three days after having the vehicle, the car shut off on me. I called Mr. ** and advised what happened. He stated maybe the car needed service. I took the car to be checked out by two different licensed Range Rover professionals and they stated he sold me a lemon. This vehicle need over 5,000 dollars of work; it had engine problems and all kinds of oil leakage in 4 different spots. I contacted Eric in regards to whats going on. He never will take my calls and finally, I got in contact with him and he stated I cannot give the car back and he is not paying to repair it. I paid $13,000 for the car and over $5,000 to have it repaired. In Mr. **s report of the car (Carfax), the car was in very good condition, had no mechanical problems and no engine problems. Well, that was wrong. I am upset at how he handled business and he should not be a licensed dealership selling cars that are lemons. I want reimbursement of the extra $5,000 I had to put into this car and it has only been 1 month.

Numerous problems with turbo not engaging. Several trips to dealership for computer resets etc. ** from the sales/service folks. Still left hanging in traffic with accelerator pressed, no response, then kick in and thrown back in seat. Most dangerous vehicle ever. Horns continuously blowing because I wont go at stop lights. Random overhead lights come on for no reason. If your brakes get close to 50% worn, you must replace the rotors! So Im about $1k into brakes at 34000 miles. Pretty is all its got going for it. Place that sold it to me for 41k offered me 31k 10000 miles later. And it still wont accelerate! Waiting on recall or to invoke the Lemon Law. Land rover service is so far behind BMW as to be in another category altogether. The L for luxury actually stands for Lemon when it comes to Evoque! I want my $$$ back!

This is my second Land Rover Sport. My first vehicle was excellent. Unfortunately both the product and the customer service associated with the product have descended to the level of abysmal. In three months of ownership the car has completely shut down 3 times and been towed from various locations. Within 3 days of delivery the car shut down on a major highway. Land Rovers corporate customer service response is comparable to dealing with a public utility or government office. They are rude, confrontational and unhelpful. This is a very expensive vehicle. It looks nice but that is the end of its appeal. Do yourself a favor and buy a real luxury brand or at least a car that actually does things like start. My vehicle has spent almost as much time in their repair garage as it has in my driveway.

Within 10 months of purchase of a new 2012 Range Rover from the Glen Cove dealership, the check engine light came on. I took it to the same dealer for service. Within two days, I got my car back. A week later, the light came back. I took it in for service again. This time they told me that the entire fuel system was contaminated from bad gas and needs to be replaced, but the warranty does not cover that and it will cost me $8,700. The insurance apparently does not cover that either. I am outraged. My car is less than a year old, and I cant drive it. I have never heard of such a problem in my 30 years of driving many cars.

I was very satisfied with my first Range Rover after Mercedes. Especially I am very impressed by the Ashford dealership, very competent and friendly staff. They just fixed a stupid electronic gearbox failure indication on my old Jaguar very competently. Driving a lot on the continent I wanted for quite some time to change my RR right-hand drive against a left-hand drive with UK registration. The Ashford dealer had big difficulties to come up with a proposal. In the internet I found at a grey dealer near Brighton a left hand vogue with 511 miles on the clock. Hence I bought the car. It was a Korean version build four years ago registered the first time by Land Rover in 1st May 2016.As the car had no warranty I purchased an extended warranty contract and paid around £1.600,--. Recently I received an undated letter from Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration cancelling the contract. After inquiry at my dealer I heard, that the Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration could not accept this warranty as they could not trace the car, having been sold abroad! I think this is an outright lie as the car had only 511 miles and was first registered on the name of Land Rover May 1st, 2016. I am the second owner. Every dealership also as good as Ashford can only be as good as the main organisation. When the main organisation is untruthful it becomes very difficult for the dealer to be between the main organisation and the client. I wish a competent answer why Range Rover Warranty pretends not being able to trace their own car registered by Land Rover May 1st, 2016.

Traded in my 2016 RR Diesel on 2018 HSE. Wish I could get my 2016 back. The 2018 has been problematic from day 1 regarding the electronic display. Has been in 3 times for repairs and each time, they magically have an update that will fix it all. Still having issues. Now, unless I wait until the disclaimer screen shows up on the screen before putting in reverse I get a TEENY TINY camera. The car also takes 30 seconds for it to engage in reverse AND many times the back up camera will not shut off for MILES. The last upgrade got me Apple CarPlay which I hate!!!! UGH, what happened? I was so excited that my 2016 had ZERO issues and now so disappointed in my 2018! What a mess! Land Rover doesnt seem to have a clue how to fix this issue.

Land Rovers Range Rover is classy looking, fun to drive and a gorgeous vehicle. There are top of the line options available and comes in several colors. I prefer the white, such an eye catcher. I am thrilled with the looks of this vehicle. They are also available in standard and upgraded models. The upgrades are well worth the extra expenses to add to this vehicle. I love the options of heated seats and temperature controllers. This vehicle has lots of legroom and can seat numerous passengers very comfortably. I love the way you dont feel like you are sitting jumbled together. Also, manufacturer is easy to work with during the sale and maintenance process. Its well worth the money it costs to purchase. I would highly recommend this manufacturer and vehicle to anyone looking for this type of sub vehicle.

I received a phone call from Mr. ** my service rep. (very nice guy) on July 15,2019 informing me my car was ready for pickup, he also stated that they find another leak that’s going to cost me 4,953.32 total for a new (TURBOCHARGER) after 5 days with my vehicle. Only with 104,000 miles on my Range Rover EVO 2014. I ask ** why they see this when I got the diagnostic done. (Paid 150.00 for diagnostic) I was told to fix the problem that it would only cost me 527.98. At this point, Im like, Are you serious sir. Ok I get to the dealership to do the test drive with Mr. Mike ** on July 16, 2019. While I was driving my vehicle didnt sound no different than when I dropped it off.I ask Mr. Mike why do Ive pay for something that I to still take it to somewhere else to get repairs done? He said, “Let me check on this for you. Because you shouldnt have for the service.” Mr. Mike was very courtesy. By this time a hour has pass by, then Mike approach me again stated his district manager said that I will still have to pay for the service, due to the labor. Wow! Why paid for something that the same problem that you stated you would repair, that’s still not fix. REALLY! 2 hours has now pass by, I ask to speak to Mr. Dennis **. I went into his office and ask him why pay for something that’s still not repaired. Mr. Dennis said in front of me and Mr. Mike because of the labor and also they find another leak, once they got to the part on my vehicle. He once said again the guys has to get pay for the labor time. But my vehicle is driving with the same sound from when I dropped it off.I told Mr. Dennis it sound like you more concerned about the money than the situation and not the relationship as a long time customer. Why pay for something that you didnt repair? At this point I said a few words to him, paid and went on by way. Very horrible situation. Mr. Dennis had not concerns at all. Very Rude in the way he spoken to me. His main focus was money/labor! Ive begin coming to this location since 2015. No problem at all with customer service. It was a COMPLETE RIPOFF. I wonder how many people get ripoff daily here. 2 hours 30 mins and he took my money with a unrepaired vehicle. Spoken to several of mechanics. They said to me this doesnt sound right at all. I dont think this is a bad place--just a HORRIBLE GENERAL MANAGER. Mr. Dennis rob me with no mask on!!! Fighting now to get my funds back. I pray you make this right. Upset & disappointed

The variety of cars I browsed was overwhelming. There was so much to choose from, and they each were very affordable and tailored to my needs. I had a hard time choosing which to get. The Land Rover that I ended up buying was a very beautiful car. It was sleek, shiny and not too big but was well equipped in the passenger capacity. It could easily fit six grown adults very comfortably and it was guaranteed a safe choice. Also, Its features were all wonderful. It included a gps, radio and state of the art car alarm. It had features implemented so that I was able to add some of my electronic devices which include my iPod and satellite radio.
