Kia says that I am not entitled to a rebate that has recently been given out for their vehicles, not providing the MPG that was claimed. The sticker of my vehicle claimed 34 highway/28 city, when in actuality, I am getting about 30 highway/25 city with an overall average of about 27 MPG with my driving habits which are conservative. All other Kia Souls are on the list to receive a rebate, but mine is not. Funny thing about it is that I remember thinking that I wasnt receiving the advertised MPG long before all of this became newsworthy. Thanks in advance.

Ok, Ive been having issues with my low beam headlights. I cant even tell when they are on and having highbeams is the only why I can drive safely, until other drivers blind me with theirs because they are upset about it. Originally I thought maybe they just need cleaned... till I did research this is a major issue with many people and Kia needs to take responsibility. The chrome is getting burnt by the lights and it no longer is reflective enough to work effectively. I dont know how they have not recalled with all the complaints I have viewed online. This is a safety hazard and needs to be addressed. Other than that I think it is a fantastic car.

I bought this car in 2017 in September. Here we are in October of 2018 and it has a blown engine. I only have 95,000 miles on this car and bought it with 58,000. For such a new car you would think you would have years before any major issues. Car isnt even on any recalls. But here I am no car and still paying on this vehicle that is a new type of garden gnome now. I hate Kia vehicles and would never buy another ever again.

Dec 2017 after 2 years of owning my car and 69000 miles my engine seized. T
Dec 2017 after 2 years of owning my car and 69000 miles my engine seized. This is a 2012 Kia Sorento. Ive argued with Kia dealership and Kia itself that I find it ridiculous that a car so new that the engine died all of a sudden. I was driving on a very busy road and it just stopped. No lights came on or anything. I was accused several times that it was my fault that there was sludge in the engine. I have corrected them each time that I have receipts of oil changes and not by their company. They wanted to charge me money for a diagnostic test that they never did until I disputed that and they waived the fee. I was forced to either pay over 5 grand for a new engine or I was almost convinced a few times to voluntarily repo my car and start new again with them by purchasing a new car. I still have 4 years left to pay off my car and in good faith I still going to try my best. I received a loan from my job and paid the rest. I have investigated before the fix and disputed that there is many other Kia engines failing and that Kia placed blame on the owners for not maintaining their cars for sludge being in the engines. I then read that there was an engine recall for the same issues but my VIN is not listed. Ive tried to bring this up to Kia that I find it a coincidence that my car has failed the same exact way as all of these other Kia engines. I believe that Kia is nothing but crooks and I will never deal with them again. They should pay for all of these faulty engines. 3 weeks after I replaced my engine I started leaking antifreeze. My Kia said theyd help me with coupons since I just did a huge service with them... 25$ coupon. Yeah thanks but no thanks for the help. I had to pay another 309$. I dont feel safe in my car. Oh and I forgot to mention that Kia neglected to tell me that the warranty on the used Kia engine is only for 90 days. I am disgusted the way that whole company treats their customers when it is us who gives them their paying jobs. As I said a bunch of crooks. My junker cars have lasted longer than this car. What is sad is I loved my car. At first it was great. Everything was working great. Then the engine went. Kia never told me about their common engine issues. I found this out myself and when I confronted them about it. They were all hush hush about it. After this car dies I will never again give my money to Kia.

This is Dr Hamdel **. My complaint from El-sabaa auto service for KIA, I maintained my KIA Cerato on July 22nd, 2014 normal 70 km maintenance. They asked me to change an addition parts and they costed me about 3000LE however I did not hesitate to remove the damaged parts as they told me buy the new one. I returned to home and get back the next day because I had a higher AC voice than normal - after checking they told that this a normal for AC. After two day what I been in travel with my family at 2:00 AM on CAIRO-ALEX desert road the car stopped (this fun no?). The gear box does not work anymore and found an oil diffuse from the front. I have no choices instead of carrying the car and my kids on the truck...and I introduced a complaint today for the customer protection system in Egypt. Regarding the Car it is located now in the front of my home and I do not know what I have to do...This is MY cell phone for contacting **.

Took my car to Kia East Syracuse for warranty service. Was told car needed to be kept overnight while they waited for a part. Was called next day. Salesman stated following: “Hi Rose, we just found out your part won’t be in until the first week in October, and your lease happens to end the first week in October. Why dont you come in and get a new lease vehicle. I stated I would not be purchasing a new vehicle. The service department is stating they dont have a loaner car for me, they want me to go almost three weeks without a vehicle. I contacted Kia Corporate and they state that they cant help, since the dealer is claiming they dont have a car they can offer as a loaner. They stated they could possibly rent me a car, but they need a manager to authorize and that takes 48 hours. Ive never heard of a car company doing warranty work on a car where the part takes 3 weeks to procure and will not offer a loaner car to drive. Not the happy Kia experience I see in their commercials. Won’t buy another Kia and neither will my family members unless they can make this right.

I bought a Kia Rio 2010. It only had 50,000 km on it. It was a standard and the first month I bought it, the entire transmission had to be replaced. Then the radio would stop working or my lights would not turn off. My brakes made a screeching sound since day one. Then on September 2nd, 2013, I had a car accident and rear ended a truck and totaled my car. Not one air bag imploded and as a result, I had a concoction and lost consciousness. Not one lawyer in Toronto wants to take my case and Kia has done nothing to help me out or the car insurance.

Last Friday it was raining and I was parked in a stall at the grocery store. I was on the phone (which comes through the radio) when I heard a loud POPPING sound and the radio went off and the screen completely black. I took the vehicle to AutoZone first as it was believed to be the fuse. The fuses were fine not blown. I then took the car to Car Pros Kia in Carson on Avalon Blvd. They charged me $118.00 for a diagnosis ($668.00) & then they say that the radio is blown. They would have to send it out for repair which would be $550.00 ($668.00-$118.00) and if they found something in it like coins & or toys/foreign objects then it would be an additional $1,500.00 on top of the $668.00. I asked if it was covered and because my car had 106,000 miles it was not covered! Out of ALL of the cars Ive owned this has got to be the worst. 3 MOS after owning it the stitching in the rear seats and the drivers seat began to come apart and of course this too wasnt covered under the warranty. I purchased this vehicle new (traded in my 2006 Volkswagen Passat, which was the worst decision Ive ever made. They dont care about their customers. I will NEVER purchase another KIA.

Before we bought that car we were told dont buy a Kia, they’re terrible but we didnt listen and now we stuck with that piece of junk thats falling apart and brand new. I will never recommend Kia to nobody. I personally will NEVER OWN another. If that car so cheap that a cart scratch the bumper and the passenger side bumper come all loose well its obvious the car wasnt put together right. So really the cart is not the problem they are and to the company you guys shouldnt lie by saying you have the best warranty cause thats a BIG lie. Buyer beware. Think twice before you buy a Kia.

After purchasing a second Kia Sorento, I recognized that there appeared to be a noise at approximately 50 mph, which was stated by the dealer that since my previous Kia was a 5-speed and this current Kia was an automatic, the power train variation could be the reason why the frequencies were different. The problem was, I never had this documented. This conversation took place while I was trying to get the air bag anomaly repaired, which was never repaired, even after three visits. After approximately 63,000 miles, the dealership now confirms that differential parts are failing, which is why I have been hearing the noise become louder as the miles increased. Kia has refused to honor the 10-year/100,000-mile warranty, claiming I did not have the differential fluids changed periodically. I have owned many vehicles to date, and never has a differential failure been an issue nor does an owner worry about differential fluids until 100,000 miles or so. This simply proves that Kia will find any means not to honor their warranty. The 10-year/100,000-mile warranty is typically a top reason why people purchase the Kia and they do not expect to have to spend another $500-$1,000 every 15,000 or so miles on top of their car payment, insurance, and fuel expense. They assume that after periodic oil changes and various periodic maintenance, such as air filter and perhaps transmission fluid changes, that the vehicles gearing and robust components will sustain the warranty period. If not, then that is why a warranty is available. For Kia, to simply claim they will not honor the warranty since there is no evidence that the differential fluids were not changed every 18,000 miles is an absolute insult and a clear depiction that the company never had the intention to honor their warranty. This is a serious safety concern since the differential can now lock up and potentially cause fatal injuries to family and friends. The differential locking up can be a serious issue. Do not purchase a Kia. Go find a clear American product if that is still available.

My mother was driving her 2010 Kia car when the gear stick came right out in her hand! Imagine what a shock that was, when she was just left with the stick. My father had to come and pick her up. Shed had to be driving the car slower as the gear wasnt working and she ended up causing a traffic jam. When she could finally pull over into a safe area, she let Kia know. They told her to bring the car to them! She explained calmly that she wasnt going to drive a car with a non-functioning gear stick. The lady on the other end of the phone tried convincing her that she should just go really slowly. Unbelievable! When my mother became angrier and asked them if they really expected her to drive the car, another man came on the phone and tried the same tactic. My mother said they needed to come and get the car. Surprise, surprise; there was no one available. And, to add to this, apparently the gear stick doesnt form part of their 7-year warranty anyway! Now, maybe its just me, but Im thinking theres something really fishy about that. How convenient! She asked them what came in the warranty then, shed like to know for the future!Never mind that she has had continual problems with Kia before and even that very morning when she had gone to get her car fixed after something had fallen off the front, they didnt have the correct parts when she went so that was a wasted journey. It was as if everything was supposed to happen that day in order for us to realize that Kia is a very dodgy company. I agree with the other reviews here: a shoddy company, with shoddy parts and shoddy customer service. They dont help you; they mess you around, and their warranty is very shaky as they try to wriggle out of whatever they can. Shell be getting rid of this car as soon as she can and well be spreading the word about this not-fit-for-purpose company!

I took my car to KIA Shop for repairs after an accident in mid Jan 2019. I was promised it would come out as good as new but sadly it came out looking awful. I took it back and they demanded extra money if I want any more work done. I contacted their headquarters and after a series of back and forth, they said they would do the repairs. Initial agreement involved changing of bumper which they refused to do until I pressed. I had to call them up on Facebook before I was told that the repairs will be done. We are now in Mid-March and the car is still with them. The most annoying thing is they dont even call to give status update. I have to be the one to do the calling. I have been using UBER since the car was with them and spending extra-budgetary. One of the employee even mentioning a situation from 2 days after I purchased the car when he was very rude to me regarding a surprise flat tire one morning on my brand new car and the road side assistance policy that I got when I acquired the vehicle. We bought a new 2016 Sorento on Thursday August 26th of this year. We then went on vacation on Sunday August 30th to Pigeon Forge TN. On Monday the 31st a pin of some kind fell out of the brake pedal. We had to have it towed 33 miles to Louisville. My wife had to ride in the wrecker to get the loaner. They did not have the part to fix it so they put a temporary part in. We then had to wait in the motel for them to deliver our car back. After getting home we took the car to our dealer and they did not have the part. We now have to wait for the part and once it is in carry our car back for repair. Thats 60 miles round trip. Two days of our vacation was wasted on this and now we have to drive a total of 120 miles to have it repaired much less our time.

We own a 06 Kia Sorento that we bought new from Jack Key in Las Cruces, NM. Once it hit 75K it started falling apart. Now the Kia master mechanic confirms it needs a complete Rear Differential repair, which is covered under the 100K power train warranty. We took the car in over a week & 1/2 and we were told the corporate office will not approve the work because Jack Key did not notify us that we needed to service the Rear Diff. (?). We bought the Car Care plan and utilized Jack Key for all oil changes and maintenance. We had the 30K mile service where they checked all levels and made sure the car was in compliance with scheduled maintenance. NOW the local regional manager is saying that they will not do anything until we prove that we had all the service done (which is IN THEIR SYSTEM). Im completely dismayed and angry at both Kia and the dealership. We invested in a KIA in good faith. In return they will not (in good faith) honor their own agreement! These people have no conscience or integrity. This is a deceptive practice and we may have to resort to a lawyer to resolve this issue if they dont step up to the plate and do the right thing.

I just bought a 2012 Kia Sorento in February. It started giving me problems. It stopped all of a sudden when I stopped in a stop sign and the engine was shut off. Two days ago, I was about to drive to work and when I went to the garage and sat in the van, it started but the gear wouldnt move as it was locked. I called the dealer and they told me to call the tow truck and get it towed to the dealership. They towed the van to the dealer, and the next day the guy from the service department called. This dealer is located in Avalon Blvd in Carson. He told me that both the engine and the computer are full of water like a swimming pool. How? I just took the car to the drive-through car wash a few times since I bought it. They told me that the warranty does not cover and I have to pay $1600 to get it fixed. When we first bought the car they lied to us that anything doesnt matter - big or small issues, the warranty is going to cover - and now they dont want to cover. I will never ever recommend anyone to Kia Carson or any other Kia dealer. It’s a bad experience that I have ever had.

On 10/12/2021, I brought my 08 Kia Sedona EX with 181k miles in for a Oil Change at Plaza KIA, Brooklyn NY. And was returned to me with the Oil Pressure light on dashboard followed by the Check Engine light. The mechanic saw the dashboards lights on while backing out the garage and tried to reset them, but to no avail. The Service Manager ran over claiming the mechanic done nothing wrong. Although, my vehicle didnt go in with these lights on. Kia claims no fault and blames the age of the vehicle. The Service Manager went on to state that they gave me a free diagnostic worth $129 and concluded that the Oil Sensor is the problem. And, that this repair and labor is a consumer purchase. The Mechanic attempted to inspect and troubleshoot this issue and was stopped by the Service Manager. I found this to be appalling and upsetting that my vehicle drove in to KIA fine and came out needing repair work that I have to pay for? Took vehicle to a independent shop nearby, They did inspection and found, 1) The Oil Sensor was not the issue and think its the Oil Pump... 2) KIA put 5W-30 Oil in instead of 10W-40 Oil for such a high mileage vehicle, stating 5W-30 is like water and best when vehicle was new... 3) That I should stop driving the vehicle immediately before the engine eats itself from low oil pressure. So, I called corporate, they claim no fault, wont take any steps or actions to resolve this issue, and asked that I no longer come to them for service. To me, this look like mechanical neglect and attempted cover up by KIA. So, So Upset. Buyer Beware!!!

I bought my in July 2018. Have taken the car to the Kia dealerships 6 times and to no avail. They will not fix the car because they say on the computer that they hook it up to cannot find anything wrong. The weekend that I bought it I immediately called them to let them know what was happening. When you put the car on ECO after 10 miles it starts to move to the 3/4 mark on the gauge, there is a ton of white smoke out of the exhaust and smells of gas, also the sticker on the car says 24/28/36. I get 13 miles to the gallon in town and Lexington, Ky is not that big which I get at the highest is 322 miles per tank, also they come with an 18.5 gallon tank but on empty with the light on I get 13.5 gallons per fill up. They have told me, There is 5 gallons in reserve and also youre not going to see a big difference until the 10,000 mile mark, which we all know is pure crap. Do not ever buy a Kia. It would not let me give it zero stars.

My husband and I used a premium Oil Filter (Not Kia), and a few weeks later
My husband and I used a premium Oil Filter (Not Kia), and a few weeks later had a knocking in the engine. I took the car to a shop up the street and was told that since we used an oil filter that was not Kia, the filter caused metal in the engine which now needs to be replaced. I called Kia Consumer affairs and explained the issue. With all the information that was sent to me in 6 years, not one piece stated that you are required to use a Kia Oil Filter. The shop that I originally took the car to had to do some research and stated that there are bulletins out that are only around 2 years old. While speaking with Consumer Affairs, I was told that the car needed to go to a Kia Dealer to be diagnosed. I then had the car towed to a local dealer which stated the same thing. Now, the kicker, they will not help in fixing the engine because I am over the 100,000-mile mark. On top of that, I am now charged a tow bill and more diagnostic fees on top of what I already paid in which they will not pay for either (since they required the car to be at a dealer for assistance). I call and call and call the Consumer Affairs lady that I have been working with, and she will not return my call until I call the 800 number and tell them I need to speak to someone or I will be going to the local media as well as any social media avenue I can. The dealer that I purchased the car from will also not honor the Engine for Life that I signed unless I can provide all receipts from the last 5 years on any maintenance that I did on the car outside of a dealer (air filter, etc). I have recently been married and the account closed. AND - who keeps their receipts for 5 years on Air Filters?? This is not only poor customer service for a loyal consumer, but the lack of follow through with what you agreed to and signed upon purchase not being honored. Other Kia owners that I have spoken with are also not Aware outside of 1 to only use Kia Oil Filters.

This car has been great, no engine problems or anything like that. My complaints are the cosmetic issues the car has. The car is Dark Cherry in color. At 21,000 miles and a year and a half later the clear coat is coming off the headlights, warranty will not cover it. Somehow a fly got into the tail light and is stuck on the inside of the part that wraps around the side of the car and can be seen very easily and I was told by the Kia Dealership that its a sealed unit and that should not happen but warranty will not cover it. Most of all the paint on my hood in the very center is starting to bubble up and the dealership does not seem to be very concerned about it. My experience with the car has been great, its fun to drive but the cosmetic issues are driving me crazy.

All I can say is if you get a Kia, pray that nothing ever goes wrong with it and that you need to deal with Corporate Headquarters. They are the most irresponsible and useless group of people I have ever dealt with. I had a recall on my car that was unsafe to drive. After over a month of back and forth where I was told the part was ordered and it was not, and then I was told I would get loaner car and then I was told I could not get a loaner car and that I would have to be reimbursed for renting my own car. I spent almost $650 for a rental car for a week and a half plus having to UBER to and from the car rental place. On December 21st, they approved my reimbursement and told to allow 30-45 days for completion. On January 27th (31 days later) I contacted Kia to find out the status of my reimbursement. I was told on January 28 (32 days) it was in final review and would be processed shortly. After receiving and hearing nothing, I contacted again on Feb 5 (40 days) and have since had no response. It is now Feb 12 (47 days) and I have yet to receive reimbursement nor any response from Kia. I spoke to manager, Brenda ** at Kia today who also told me that the reimbursement is still processing and she would follow up with me. Brenda did not follow up with me so I had to email her 8 days later and she told me it was still being processed and she requested it to be expedited (I thought this had already been done?). Now it has been another 5 days since she responded to me. I am going on 66 days since my reimbursement was approved with no check and no ETA of when I will get it.I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Kia just responds stating my case is being worked on and to work with my case manager. And to note, my case manager, David, if he still is my case manager, hasnt responded to me since January 28th (28 days ago). This is insane. I just want my money. I have been charged 2 months of interest on my credit card now and still they cannot even tell me when to expect my check. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A KIA AGAIN AND REGRET BUYING THIS ONE. KIA IS A JOKE.

I am seeing a lot of these comment and thinking they are really over exaggerated. When you go through like 5 or 6 cars in a year or so my thought is what are you doing to each of those cars to ruin them. I bought my 2012 Kia Soul brand new with less than 12 miles on it. I had o e sensor go out about a year after I bought it and the dealership replaced it through my warranty with no issues. Other than, that it is great. Great sound, quiet, good get up and go (2.0 engine) and it fits a lot in it. If you do a lot of hauling get an suv but even with the seats up I can still get a lot in. It has 36000 miles now and still going strong. Highly recommend Kia. EVERYONE I know that has one loves it.

This is a HUGE safety concern, especially when I am driving and have my children in the car. The car dies when I am going 10-15 miles an hour. I dont know what else I can do.

I bought my Kia Carens from new 08 reg. I have had problems one after another with it. I have been complaining about the gear stick from almost the year I got the car. I got told it was the clutch that was the problem. I got a new clutch fitted but still got problems with changing the gears. I took it back and again got told it was my clutch. When I said it was a new clutch, I got told it must be fitted wrong, to take it back to the garage that fitted it. I did that and was told it was fitted okay. I took the car to another Kia dealer and they said it was the gear linkage and repaired it. A few days later, it started doing it again.I have told the Kia dealer that the gears are still not changing, that it jams. When trying to change gears, I have to turn off the engine and put it into gear before it will go. I still dont have that fixed. Then about two years ago, I got a noise coming from the engine. I took it back to the garage to get it fixed. It was the turbo that had blew. Three weeks later, I had the same trouble. I took it back again and got told the turbo had blown again, that it must have been a faulty turbo. Last Oct., I was at Aberdeen and the car stopped suddenly on the motorway. I had to get pushed into the side of the road by the police. I called the RAC out. The engine was flooded with oil. I was told that it was one of the fuel injectors that had gone. I had to hire a car to take me back home the next day and the RAC took my car back to Kia a few days later. I had to keep the hired car three weeks till I got mine back again. A new turbo was fitted. It turned out that it was the fuel injector leaking that was blowing the turbo. That was three turbos within a year that was fitted and every time my car is off the road, I have to hire a car as it is a disabled car and my husband was going through chemotherapy and I needed the car to take him to hospital. Now, I have a new problem with the electrics. I was out three weeks ago when my lights went out on the dashboard and the police were behind me and pulled me over. It turned out when the dashboard lights went out, so did my tail lights so I got a slip of paper from the police telling me I had been pulled over and I had 21 days to get the lights fixed. I phoned Kia and booked it in the next morning. I got told it would be Friday, 5 days after I was stopped. That was fine. I took the car in to get it fixed. It was in all morning. I got a call saying it was ready for pick up. I picked it up and was told it wasnt fixed. I had to wait for parts.I got a call later that day telling me it was booked in for Thursday. Last week, I got a call on Wednesday telling me not to take it in; the parts were still not in. I would get a call on Fri. telling me when to take it back to get fixed. I did not get the call. The car still hasnt been fixed and the 21 days the police gave me is up tomorrow. I had to call the police and explain that I am waiting for parts to come for it, and the garage cant stamp the slip till it has been fixed. Now I have to get a letter from Kia telling them that Im waiting for parts coming in. Thats 3 weeks Ive been waiting. I cant go out at night because if I touch the switch to indicate the lights go out. Its fine through the day when the lights are off. I will never buy another Kia car. It has been trouble since day one. If anyone asked me how I would rate Kia, I would say keep clear of them.

Leased the 2017 KIA Niro EX Hybrid car on Sunday and drove home 10+ miles.
Leased the 2017 KIA Niro EX Hybrid car on Sunday and drove home 10+ miles. Odometer had 15 miles on it. Left the car in the garage for two days and attempted to drive it early Wednesday. Backing out of the garage and was steering onto the street when the power steering warning light came on and steering was very difficult and noisy (growling) - vibrating while turning the wheel itself. Pulled back into the garage and all warning lights came on. Shut the car off and retried several times. Waited with the car idling. Battery warning light came on. Let the car sit and looked in the manual for answers. Tried backing up again and all the warning lights came on again, and steering was again very difficult. Drove back into the garage. Called the roadside assistance number and the flatbed truck took the 2017 KIA Niro EX back to the dealership. The tow driver had much trouble getting the car out of the garage and maneuvered onto the flatbed. This is a serious safety issue to us because the car could barely steer. Received call from service at KIA Cerritos saying power steering motor had to be replaced and that Korean engineers were flying out to look at the car personally. Still do not have a car, but we are in limbo now about the brand itself and are looking again at Toyota.KIA of Cerritos - a very short description of our encounter before and after. Salesman said we could have leather seats in the base model, that it takes about an hour. When we went through the agreement, he instead was selling us a 35k vehicle. I asked, how did we go from 22.5k to 35k. He wouldn’t show us the numbers through the whole process. We were very pressured to take this vehicle, and the salesman kept referring back to a ‘pre-delivery’ inspection, which seemed odd - like something was wrong. Keep in mind, this is the shortest version. After the KIA Niro steering failure and the tow truck delivered the vehicle, I had to sit through several more interviews at the Cerritos dealership, being shuffled around from office to office all afternoon, much like the initial sales day. A Head of Sales man told me the General Manager said no to my request to return the car and unwind the deal of less than 72 hours. I was going to just leave, and then I went in to confront the supposed General Manager. He said, No, Im not the General Manager, Im the Service Dept. Manager. Then he took me in to see Joe **, the real General Manager of KIA of Cerritos. The conversation with the Cerritos dealership General Manager, Joe **, was very short. He simply said he wont buy-back because its now a used car with 30 miles on it. He said he wont call back the DMV title in our name.I left the dealership and the car, which I still hadnt driven myself, in the service dept. to be fixed. When I got home I called a ‘lemon law’ consultant. He was very knowledgeable and said the dealership wouldnt have filed with DMV yet as its too early and that its usually done weekly or monthly. Remember we had the car less than 72 hours. It was late Sunday when we drove the car into our garage, and the next day was a holiday, President’s Day. So, that left Tuesday, and I attempted to drive the car Wednesday at 4am. I had also called Kia Motors Finance and they told me they couldnt find the VIN number - we had no account on file yet. In their opinion, there was no real reason for us not to be able to walk away and find another car. And of course after this, another dealership. We are still in limbo about our lease with KIA and the return of our brand new 2017 KIA Niro EX Hybrid.

They gave me power of attorney to someone elses car!!! Im financing two vehicles. I got married & changed my last name. Dmv wont do a name change because I dont have the vehicle titles. Which is obvious. AAA & DMV both said financing company needs to do it. Kia refuses to do so. They sent me limited power of attorney for both cars for me to take to DMV to do by myself. Aside that DMV cant accept it. It actually turns out they sent me a power of attorney for someone elses car? Wth!!On top of that they tell me I need to wait another 10-14 business days to wait for it to be corrected. Plus I need to call back Monday, because its Friday evening & the department who issues this forms is closed. I have to call a 5th time to request a new & corrected power of attorney with my correct vehicle information. Plus send a written request for them to send the title to DMV. Which takes 10-14 days for the request. Horrible service & customer service. Worst finance company ever! Who sends out a power attorney to a strangers car. Scary that such information would be released like nothing and take no responsibility for such mistake. Violation of privacy and confidential information.

We bought a Kia Sorento and financed through Kia.... HUGE MISTAKE! This company is absolutely horrible to work with... We traded our Kia for a different vehicle in February. The Kia was paid off via the new dealership... BUT Kia has called us 3 and 4 times a day trying to collect on a vehicle that we no longer own. We have spoke to several people at Kia giving them the payoff information and at the end of each call they still ask for payment.... YES... They ask for payment for a vehicle that we no longer own. There is a time lapse on Kia from payoff to their collection department. These people are awful to work with. For a month they call us numerous times a day....even after giving them proof of payoff! Our Kia was a good vehicle.... Just do not finance through Kia financial. I wont ever buy another Kia just for that reason! Horrible, Horrible Customer Service!!!!

To start my fiance was driving her car and the motor seized on her on a major highway. Called the dealership. They told her the towing company they used was busy so she would have to sit on the side of the road in the summer in Mississippi for 3 hours. I got her car towed to our house from a friend of mine. We finally get Kia to tow the car to the dealership, come to find out there was a recall on the motors for this reason. Never once did we get anything in the mail for it. We got it there Friday morning, here it is Monday afternoon and all they know is what I told them and that is that it needs a new motor. They told us it would be 3 days for the kia tech line to approve the motor. So we are gonna be without a car for 3 days if not longer. I called kia customer service they said the same. After asking for a supervisor they told me that it would take 24 to 48 hours for the supervisor to contact me back. Overall this will be the last kia I ever own. Just a bunch of crooks who messed up and now dont want to pay for it.

The check engine came on, so I took to it Kia/Carson on Thursday. I was advised on Friday that the catalytic converter is bad. Needed my service records in order to see if they will cover. The car has only 66,474 miles and should be covered under Federal Emissions Warranty. When I called to confirm what code was coming up, they advised P0430. It is now the following Wednesday and are denying because I cannot provide further service records. Now, they are telling me that other codes came up which I believe they are reading those same codes that was on my last service record provided only 2,000 miles earlier. My husband went into the dealer to talk to the service manager and he decided not to get off his phone call and come out of his office to meet and discuss. He has still not returned our calls. I was taking my son to the hospital. The hospital we use is about an hour away from our residence. Three deer crossed the roadway. The last deer got confused, started to run back my way so I swerved to miss it. I hit loose gravel but did not know that when I did that it had ripped the oil pan off the motor. It stuck the throttle on and brakes useless. So I had no brakes and the throttle was stuck on. The van struck the embankment head on which was steep because at the top was a railroad track. The same track AMTRAC uses. Anyway after hitting the embank the van proceeded to hit a guide wire which pressed the hood into the motor and left scratches all over the van. It spun the van around, both sides of the van were hit against the pole, wire or embankment or ditch. The van proceed to climb the embankment, no brakes with the throttle stuck. I knew the other was going to be a roll because we were at an angle. Black smoke was pouring into the van. I am scared of black smoke (I was in a house fire 3 years ago. I was the last one out and suffered 2nd/3rd degree burns. I was life lined to Springfield). I couldnt see my son. I could hear him, he would answer me, but I could not see him. At the top of the tracks I heard him say we are going to roll. I said the airbags will deploy. How wrong was I. Just by chance that last tire was hanging onto the track. There was o2 tanks in the van (because of the fire 3 years ago, I burnt my lungs... I inhaled the flame). My seat belt did not lock. I hit the steering wheel, my breasts are bruised. I have a hernia and cant find an attorney that will go up against them. MY son had to have 12 stitches in his leg. I went to the hospital by ambulance because I couldnt breathe. Desert road) and after one month from using the car, it was noted when two persons ride on the back seat that a crack sound in the suspension system is heard. I went to Kias agent Elgendy 3S Elmahalla Elkobra branch to solve this problem and accordingly, after the maintenance, the sound disappeared. After five days only from the maintenance, the sound comes back again. As of now, I went six times to Kias agents and every time sound disappears and comes back after 4-5 days from maintenance. I have sent more than one complaint to the Egyptian International Trading & Agencies Co. and until now the problem is not yet solved. Upon this, I have advised all of my friends and relatives not to buy any Kia cars as bad after sales services increase customer dissatisfaction and negatively affect Kias sales and reputation. Finally, I need my problem to be solved; otherwise my car needs to be replaced. Thanks and kind regards.

After owning 3 Hyundai Elantras, I decided to keep it in the family and purchase a Brand new 2015 Soul. I pat myself on the back every day because of that decision. For a comfortable amount of money I get - excellent gas mileage, roomy interior, sitting high lets me see everything very easily, plenty of “stuff inside” - nice size screen (which I never thought I needed, but use it every day), radio, CD player, excellent dash lighting, cruise control - and much more. It’s 2019 and just took “her” for a 125 mile trip to the beach. You would have thought “she” was brand new. At one point I looked at the dash and realized I was going 70 in a 55 (don’t tell anyone since I have never had a ticket). I was just amazed how smooth and quiet “she” was after four years. Gas consumption was amazing. For anyone looking for a smaller yet roomy car with a low price tag and plenty of options, besides being eye candy, the Soul cannot be beat. Check it out. See for yourself how big small can be.

I made an appointment a week before my appointment. I was very specific about the recall over the phone when I made my appointment. I have came in. I was very specific when I talk to the front desk why I was there over my recall, I even told them if I need to pull out the paperwork, they corresponding with me acknowledging why I was there. They have told me it will take 2 1/2 hour. After sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes I went to the front and I noticed my car has not been pulled in the back so I asked them if they can take me home like some other dealerships do. After talking to them more about this recall they told me that the parts not there and they were trying to do something else with my vehicle that wasn’t approved. Now in February 5 they wanted to put a liner in my gas tank. I told them I did not wanted that done and that’s what they were trying to do and charge me $160 for it without my acknowledgment. Poor customer service. They don’t listen to the customers and after all this the man looked at me like I was the one confused. I would definitely not recommend this business. They honestly don’t care about their customers.

I have a 2014 Kia with 130,000 highway miles. It is now using oil. In the 50+ years I have owned vehicles I have never had one that used oil. At 86,000 miles it needed rear calipers because they were rusted on. Four mechanics told me this was not normal. This car is either on the highway or in a dry garage. Kia refused to help in any way shape or form. Needless to say my next vehicle will not be a Kia. I purchased this vehicle from the Kia dealership in Boardman Ohio and I have never experienced such unprofessional customer service.

I bought a 2012 Kia Soul. I bought a new car because I live up north where the winters are cold. So I wanted a new car with a good heater. I dont have that in the Kia Soul. The temp gauge in the car drops and I get cool to lukewarm air. I have taken it to my dealership and they had it almost 2 weeks and nothing. They keep telling me it is normal. I have had several cars and none of them had them temp gauge drop and get warm air or cool. I was told that Kia put in a larger radiator than is needed for this size car and they wont do anything about it. If this is as hot as the Kia Soul gets, then Kia should not be selling it up north where the winters are long and cold. As anyone else had this issue.

Hi there, I have a Kia Rondo 2014 LX 4cl. that has only 13000km. My fuel consumption is enormous, I cant go under 14,8 l/100km in the city! There is a problem here. Does anyone has the same problem as I do? I think Kia is cheating on us, as they say the average consumption in the city should be around 10.5l/100km. Im definitely very angry. Kia has been condemned before for false information about the fuel consumption on other models. So can anyone with a Kia Rondo 2014 and the same problem contact me? By the way, this ridiculously high consumption is also true in the summer.

We purchased a 2008 Kia Rio for our son to use before he graduated high school. In the 3 1/2 years since it has, it barely had 30k miles on it. Our son reported while driving it 2 weeks ago, that it jolted and he thought he had a blowout, but upon checking it, the tires were good. However, the right front wheel was free to float forward and backward in the wheel well. The Kia technician was quick to advise us that the person we had who welded the control arm did a poor job and it broke. He was immediately advised that the car was purchased new and other than oil changes, it has never been mechanically worked on. The service manager said they would submit it for warranty approval. Two days later, it was denied and we were informed that the operator hit something and broke the control arm. What happened to the expert opinion stating a bad welding job to breakage caused by damage? This isnt my first time around the block and I know when smoke is being blown up my shorts. The denial came from a supposed Kia rep. The Albuquerque Kia ran me around for a week to even get this information from them and would not follow up on information leaving me to them. One of their people even had the ignorance to even say aw boo! What was that supposed to mean? But they have my car and I understand what a mechanics lean is.

My girlfriend has a 2012 KIA Sorento. After 40000 miles the engine seized. We brought it to the dealer and they asked for service records. When we provided them they still would not honor the warranty. They said it could be improper maintenance and said we had to prove it was their fault. (Since we had gone to Firestone and a few other places for oil changes, they can now say it was their fault not KIAs and we would then have to fight a different vendor to replace the engine.)I was initially too shocked to be angry, but when they said we could pay them to take apart the motor to prove fault, I spoke to another mechanic who has dealt with this before. He said they are not likely to find anything that will prove anything either way and we will just be out an additional 500 dollars. I am now taking the only recourse I have without money for a lawyer. I am telling every outlet I can find to go with a different company. This feels like fraud to me. We did what was asked of us in the handbook and they just dont want to honor their warranty. It never says anywhere that if you dont use KIA for everything, you might as well write off your warranty. So now we are stuck without a car and with a probable 5K cost facing us because we did the right thing. It is not honest or fair that a car from 2012 with 40K miles has a dead engine. There are plenty of reviews about this type of thing on the internet. I recommend you look long and hard before falling for the same trick we did. We probably wont have a choice since there are still 3 years on the note so we cant really do anything but let them bully us. Please consider any other car before KIA. #dontbuyKIA #KIA

I was on the freeway when my Sorrento steering wheel and brakes locked on me. I couldnt stop the car. It started malfunctioning and when I proceeded to stop the car from veering off the road, I had to place my hand on the gear and force it into park in order for it to stop. I was stuck out waiting 3 hrs for my husband to rescue me... on the side of the road. And when I restarted it to drive it back home I had to drive under 50 miles with the hazards on the whole way there. Once I got to my exit the car malfunction again and proceeded not to stop but kept going and I was forced again to put it in park in order for it to stop. Im still very much upset about it when I got home I cried because I couldve ran into a innocent person along with my life and really caused a lot of damage. Im thanking God that everyone is safe. But I dont know how Im gonna get into that car again. Im literally terrified of my Sorrento now.

The electroluminescent speedometer isnt readable during daylight operation.
The electroluminescent speedometer isnt readable during daylight operation. This causes a very real safety situation when the driver has to take his eyes off the road for 3 or 4 seconds to figure out how fast he is going. The display is entirely programmable by Kia. They have chosen to show the speed by a small dark red marker against a black background. During daylight driving, you have to hunt for the marker. Put on sun glasses and it can take 5 or 6 seconds to find the marker. All that time you are not looking at the road.Simple program changes and software updates could easily solve this problem. - Make the marker longer and/or bigger; make the marker lighter red; make the marker white, or show the speed numerically in the center of the speedometer. All these could be driver selectable from the existing settings menu.Kia has been made aware of this problem since at least June 10, 2013 (case # ** customer service representatives Quinton and Robin). They are liable for accidents caused by this faulty product. The local Kia service people recognize the problem but only corporate Kia can fix it. Other than this safety issue, my $39,050 2014 Sorento Limited is perfectly assembled and excellently designed.Update: The local service people were told by Kia that they are working on the problem. That means Kia is selling vehicles with known safety issues.

Didn’t want to get hit with a high bill at the end of lease. So 3 years go by I return my lease. Get my cost $750 end of lease fees. Which would have been fine if the dealership didn’t pocket the $449. They never purchased the coverage. When I called the company to file my claim. The paperwork & brochures were from. They said they never worked with Kia of West Nyack. WOW bunch of crooks! They were selling the dealership & knew I wouldn’t know until 3 years later. This company didn’t make it right. Which tells me a lot about How they care about their customers. All I asked was for $250 of additional cost. The other monies I would have had to pay regardless. Don’t buy Kia!!!!

I have received my 2nd safety recall on my 2010 KIA Soul which I bought brand new at Terry Reid KIA in Cartersville, GA. I had to relocate to Green Valley, AZ in 7/13 to come under the treatment of a highly specialized physician after becoming extremely ill as I was unknowingly put into a hazardous toxic mold environment at a resort which we eventually found behind all the wallpapered areas -- this facility had been infested with this toxic molds, come to find out, for years with no action being taken. I am now multi-chemically sensitive and cannot be in any dealerships where there are smells and odors as it will complicate my situation even further. I was just directly exposed to poisonous pesticides at my complex as management did not put up advance warnings as to when these would be used around my building and have been extremely ill as a result. I have a KIA Soul which must be repaired and am unable to get it to the closest dealership (over 1 hr one-way from me) due to my health conditions, and this will take at least 3 hours to repair. I have emailed KIA Consumer Services to get my car towed into Jim Click KIA in Tucson to get this unsafe situation fixed. I would have to stay with my vehicle in an environment that I cannot be in as this is being repaired; no one to pick me up here, etc. So, we will wait and see what KIA will do to help me with this dilemma.

So I was driving my car for a errand for my job and I reach my destination which is less than 10 mins from my job. I get back in the car, put it in reverse and the car will not move. I called for roadside, they were wonderful. The wait was a bit long but understandable since it was a Friday. But once I arrive at Braman Kia it was a disaster from there. I arrived Sat 7:55 p.m and they were closing instead of someone saying, Maam we are closing, everyone just rudely walks right past me and cuts off lights and etc. So I leave the car and pass by today to only be told that theres no techs today and that I cant be giving a loaner or told anything until the car is checked and they dont know if it will be checked today. Like seriously how can you not have a tech available, that they only have students today? Like seriously so what happens to your customer? They are just stuck with no means of transportation.

Kia Soul bought March 2014. 1 recall within 1st year. 6-18-15 the car would not start. I had to miss work and find someone to take me to the dealer. Hours later I was told nothing was wrong with the Battery. 7-24-15 the car would not start again. A little over a month since the last problem, I found someone to drive me to Kia after my car was towed and I had to miss work again. Hours later again, nothing wrong with my Battery. I called the Kia 800# while waiting, told there were 2 more recalls (they wont call them recalls anymore), these items noted as corrected on my invoice.7-27-15 the car would not start again. Kia called a tow truck again. I borrowed a car, could not call in work again. After multiple calls to Kia service, tow company and Kia at 800#. I was offered a loaner car and mine would be research more. Later that day per message on my voice mail, car is fixed, battery replaced. I bought a new car for the security and this is what I get. Stress on my mother and myself, miss many hours of work going on my record as missed work hours and gas for multiple trips to Kia.Updated on 9/07/2015: The parking and tail lights have come on in the middle of the night for no reason. It was discovered when going outside to get the newspaper 2 days and I woke up the next day worrying about my car at 3:00 am, the lights were in again. OBVIOUSLY the problem is not the battery. The computer needs checked with good machine for a short or something else, not the one at Dutch Miller Kia in South Charleston, WV. Car lights do not just come on in the middle of the night for no reason. Why this problem was not found after 3 visits in the summer? I am scheduling an appointment at my Kia in WV for 9-10-2015. I cannot miss another day of work.

I am a dissatisfied owner of a 2014 Kia Soul. July 4, 2015 I purchased a used 2014 Kia Soul with 4200 miles on it. June 2017 the engine blew up with 62261 miles on it. At this time I found out that there is NOT a 100000-mile powertrain warranty because I am the second owner. They dont tell you that when you buy it. I contacted Kia warranty service to submit my claim. Long story short, Kia not covering engine replacement because it is out of second owner power train warranty. I Had to pay to install a new long block engine into the Soul at the Kia dealership. $4322.00 for the engine and installation. Kia could not tell me what the mileage was when the Soul went into Service but only the date. According to Kia warranty, the second owner is 5 year 60,000 mile warranty from day and current mileage. So if my Soul had 2262 miles on it when it went into service, then my warranty would be to 62262 miles. Kia did not want to even talk about this. Just basically said, Sorry for your bad luck. Next I was told to file an complaint and I will be doing just that. It was determined at the dealership the failure was due to a blown head gasket which in turn allowed engine coolant to get into the #2 cylinder which caused the engine to lock up. Also the engine was free of any oil sludge and nothing was found to be neglected as far as maintenance. An engine head gasket should not blow on a well-maintained engine. Funny thing at the dealership when my engine arrived from their distribution center, I was told I was 4th in line to have an engine installed. Gee. Sounds like Kia has an engine failure problem. Guess they are not paying for anyones repairs!!! Poor customer satisfaction. Oh and Scott who I spoke with from Kia about the warranty, if you read this, this is not the way life is, consumers should not have to worry about their engine failing and be without a ride to work for 6 weeks and have to deal with arrogant warranty customer service person. My son has a Nissan with 145000 miles and it has only been to dealership for regular scheduled maintenance. Guess I will need to trade this Kia on a Nissan.

I own a 2008 KIA Rondo, the bearing in the crank went. I am 15,000 over the warranty limit, and 8 months past warranty. Bought it brand new. KIA Canada says simply too bad your warranty is up. They also said that it was an engine fail but does not consider this to be a safety issue so will not do a courtesy warranty to help me either. Which KIA says they have done in the past, I say **. I have driven KIAs for 10 years, exchanged last one before 5-year warranty, but was assured that engine would have failed as well. Taking peoples money on a product you dont stand behind is unfair. Now you offer 10-yr warranty. That tells me you may have known your engines were crap and now they may have improved. What about taking care of your old customers who bought your garbage first. I still owe money on a car that is useless. There are many of other people out there like me and I will find them and get the word out.

I have had it in for numerous problems from engine sticking when in cruise control & slipping when you take off & for a water leak that doesnt seem to ever go away! It has been in for service over 7 times! They cant seem to find the transmission sticking. But it definitely does it. They told me it seems to be normal for the car??? Really... Ive had a 2015 Sorento loaner for over a week & it doesnt stick at all. Ive brought that up & they look at me like I have a 2nd head! Ive asked them if they changed the engine again from the 2015 to 2016? They said, No. But Ive notice it gets better gas mileage & has more pick up & go. I dont feel safe in my 2015 Sorento. I live in the Atlanta so I need a vehicle that can go when I hit the gas. Yes Im well aware that its only a 4-cylinder but the loaner I have is two & its a great car. My wife and I purchased a Kia Sorento from Union City Kia in Georgia. We purchased the vehicle on 8/31/11. We were informed by our salesman at that time that it was the last day of a promotion the dealership was running where you received 2 Atlanta Falcons seasons tickets if you bought a car, but the offer ended at the end of that day. As a matter of fact, the car we test drove that day was black and had all of the Falcons promotional stickers all over it. About 10 days went by and had no tickets so I called my salesman. He told me he was going to check into it and call me back. I did not receive a call so I called back on Friday again and left a message, still no call back. I called on Saturday and he checked with his manager and he told me they should be there that day and to check after the mail delivery and let him know if they are not there. The tickets were not there so I called back as instructed and was told by the receptionist the salesman was not there and had left for the day, and there was no manager to speak to. However, the tickets would take about 30 to 45 days to arrive from the sale date. None of this was mentioned at the time of the sale. I emailed the Kia customer service and was contacted by them with absolutely no help and was told the promotion actually ended on the 28th, not the 31st, and to go back to the dealer and see if they would step up to what they promised as they are independently owned. I called the dealership and again received no return calls so I went to the dealership and talked to a manager on duty. He took my information and told me he was going to find out what was going on and call me back that evening. I again received no call. The next day, I went into the dealership and was routed to their business manager Kennon **. He told me that I was right, the promotion ended on the 31st and that it was a corporate promotion which they did not purchase enough tickets so he was going to find out what he needed to do to get more. He stated I was not the only person that was complaining about this. Kennon told me he would get me some information by the end of the day. He did call me that night and left me a voice message telling me he was playing phone tag with the guy and he would be in the next day to follow up and get back with me. That was on a Wednesday. I did not get a call back on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Monday so I called the dealership again and was informed he was on vacation for the week and he was the only person that could help me. I emailed him and Kia customer service again with no reply from Kennon which was expected, but I did receive a response from Kia Southern Region office, and once again, they just said go back to the dealer since they are the ones that made the deal. This time she said besides it was on a “while supply lasts promotion” which of course no one ever mentioned that while signing for the car just that we would be getting the tickets. So I again stopped into the dealership on Monday, 10/24/11, and personally talked to Kennon. He now changed his story and said the promotion actually ended on the 28th, but he was going to check in with another manager and ensured me he would call me that evening. I also informed him it was him that confirmed to me in person that the 31st was in fact the cut-off date and all I wanted was what was promised to us. Well, once again, I was lied to. No call on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. I would think if the promotion ended on the 28th, the salesperson, rest of the staff and management would have known that by the 31st, and the promotional car would have had the decals removed. The fact is they were so desperate to sell the car they intentionally lied to get the sale done. This is immoral and bordering illegal. A contract whether verbal or written is binding.Well, it is now 10/25/11 and we have missed 3 home games and still no tickets. I have gone above and beyond to clear this up, but have had no luck even getting the dealership to answer my many calls and lie to my face every time I speak to them in person. It is evident this dealership has a problem standing behind promises made while getting you to purchase a vehicle. As a consumer, there should be some protection against companies that rip them off and knowing the whole time they are doing it just for a dollar. I just want to work something out and get this cleared up. This dealership is a direct reflection on the Kia automobile, regardless if it is privately owned.I filed a complaint with the Atlanta BBB on 10/28/11. It is now 11/30/11 and the Better Business Bureau just informed me they have tried several times to contact the dealership, but the dealership has not responded to any of their attempts. No surprise there. That is their trademark. Well, as the end of the football season nears and still no word from the Kia dealership to no surprise. This may be an independent dealership. However, they represent Kia when they sell their vehicles. I’m not finished pursuing avenues to get this resolved. All is good and they will make any promise to get the deal closed, and once they have you, they forget all about you and the promises they have made.

Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency braking will not work. Took to Dealer and confirmed it was not operational. After having it in the shop for 7 days within the first 2 weeks after purchase, they contacted Kia to get representative to take a look. Thats been over 7 weeks and no response. I am very disappointed in Kias lack of customer service on this serious safety issue. Have ask the Dealer to follow up numerous times, but still no response from Kia.

We purchased this vehicle in April of 2017 and have regretted our purchase because of the numerous issues. We have wasted many hours trying to get warranty repairs on faulty brakes and electrical system problems and are still trying. Not only does this hybrid have very poor gas mileage and many strange glitches, it is also very difficult to get any service done as each of the dealerships only staff 1 hybrid technician. We have been to 3 different dealerships and in communication with the corporate office about a recurring abs system malfunction that they cannot figure out how to fix. It is extremely unsettling to have a check brakes alert pop up 2-3 times a month on a car that is still under warranty and extremely frustrating to be unable to get this company to stand behind their product and fix a potentially life-threatening problem. Protect your family by not buying a KIA!

I purchase a 2016 Kia Sorento. Ever since day one I have safety recall issues which none of the Kia dealerships can fix it, GAS PEDAL, AIR CONDITION, BACK DOOR, SEAT BELT, BRAKES etc. I have contact Kia corporation, they are a JOKE. They never return calls so now Im doing everything I can to let all know how this crocks operate. They just sell you the vehicle and just deal with the problems yourself. I have report them to the BBB, Department of Justice and DMV, investigators do all the same together, will make a difference. Lets all report this crooks to all this departments to put them out of business.

I was driving into town to get gas before heading to work. I ran out of gas, called my roadside assistance, had them come give me fuel, tried starting it, and the roadside assistance person thought the battery was dead, and put a charger on it, and it still wouldnt start, and was recommended to have it towed, which I did. I called my mechanic at noon, to find out it had no oil, and the engine was seized. When I went to the shop there were no codes that pulled and I had no lights on the dash, no oil light, no check engine, etc. The mechanic actually had to show me where the oil light was, as it is right next to the low fuel light - I would have noticed it. Ive spoken to Kia who says there have been no issues with the 2012 Kia Sorento, but I beg to differ. I believe the sensor or fuse for the oil light had to have been malfunctioning, which led to my vehicle running out of oil, unlike Kia who suggested it was due to negligent maintenance on my part.

I purchased via bank loan a 2008 KIA Sorento SUV Ex AWD in January 2016, so
I purchased via bank loan a 2008 KIA Sorento SUV Ex AWD in January 2016, sold to me for about $9,995.00 with 60,000 miles. I probably still owe about $7.000.00 to the bank. Initially when I first drove it, my son-in-law noticed it had a loud noise. I accepted the noise coming from the rear considering it was just the design of the car. Not yet one year, I have a continuous unresolved check engine light, that no mechanic shop could resolve, which eventually meant, to take it to the dealer for resolve. The mechanic there could not find its problem, because repairs made previously for the specific code for the unresolved check engine light. So mechanic at Dealership resets the light to off, but mentions, my model year vehicle had a 2010 technical service bulletin (TSB-023) that the rear differentials can be bad in this model year vehicle causing bearings to wear out, and recommending new rear differential replacements. So I find having a bad rear differential is unsafe to drive. That Toyota issues Recalls for bad Rear Differentials. But KIA gets away with not having to issue Recalls, only Technical Service Bulletins for bad Rear Differentials? The Dealership was aware by receipt of Technical Service Bulletin issued in 2010, that this car could have this problem. As consumer, I am not a mechanic, and kept in the dark for a bulletin I would have to buy to learn all the faults about my model year car. How is it one manufacturer (KIA Manufacturing) does not have to issue recalls for Rear Differentials? That is why it became issue for Technical Service Bulletins because so many KIA models have this problem. But is not a recall? And yet, bad rear differentials are recalls with other manufacturers.I researched my car prior to deciding to purchase it. I found no repairs, nothing major performed on the vehicle, leading to me, I had a sound car. But it also answers it wasnt inspected for the Technical Service Bulletin issue. No mention about any inspections for recommended Technical Service Bulletin issues. Advise all consumers purchase a technical service bulletin for your used car you ever decide to buy. Not every issue is decidedly recalled. Although with other car manufacturers, a bad rear differential is recalled because it jeopardizes safety, i.e. Toyota. And how KIA apparently doesnt have to recall their 2008 KIA Sorentos for bad rear differentials, which are proven common issues with this model year car makes me question are they allowed to have numerous KIAs with bad rear differentials in Technical Service bulletins and not have this issue as recalls? One person had their KIA wheels lock up suddenly while going down hill, and the vehicle slid sideways when the wheels locked up. What I am really getting to... it this practice allowed? Make every issue a Technical Service Bulletin, even if it jeopardizes safety? Or, is it up to the manufacturer to determine what issue is safe or unsafe? I just feel like I am being deceived and puts my car at risk to my life and the lives of others on the highway because of possible deception or fraud.

These are supposed to be good reliable vehicles, this is not the case. My 2 year old car with 26k miles died while driving at a high speed on the highway. Towed to dealer and motor is blown. All past maintenance was performed by the dealer. So far, unknown as to when and where they can obtain a replacement motor for a 2 year old car. Dealership doesnt answer the phone, no one has followed up. I had a mid size vehicle with luxury options and Ive been given a crappy economy Sportage SUV to drive which stinks like cigarettes and is so uncomfortable that its aggravating a disability and causing severe pain. I get to work limping in pain and stink like a smoker, thanks Kia.
