I would not have given a one star had the option been available. This is the second vehicle I have financed through NMAC. I had a horrible experience the first time in 2000 and decided to give it another shot. We purchased a 2012 Altima Coupe in April 2012. I have constantly had to call and argue with the reps simply to get my information. I was told I would receive in the mail documents regarding my payments and account information through NMAC. I never received any of this. It is December and I still have only been able to get info regarding my account by calling myself. No communication whatsoever has ever made it to me through the mail. I have requested it many many times for various reasons and still theres nothing. Also, their online payment system is a complete joke. More often than not, it will not accept my card info and I will have to retry at a later date. This has caused my payments to be late more than once. I also never receive my statement notifications by email that the reps have promised would be sent. Also, my rate on my contract from the dealership shows 0.9% and when I look at my account information through Nissan Finance Manager, it shows a 2.9% rate. I wonder who/when that was authorized.I will never finance through NMAC again, possibly never own another Nissan vehicle.

Dear Nissan, for everyone that had a car before the policies changed for the 8 payment extensions to 6 payment extensions you should still honor them because we were told something that is no longer being honored. I understand that it is a courtesy, but that doesnt change the fact that you should honor your word to us because when you say something you should do it. Especially for some of us who have been loyal towards our payments and the Nissan Corporation. Also, we never get anything for being a customer. We hardly get discounts and the service team at almost every location is always trying to sell you another car for overpriced numbers. Unsatisfied.

I own a Nissan Juke MY 2013, mileage of 67,000 km, ever since I purchased the car and I am complaining that it is not giving the full power even when I press on the pedal. I have missed the service for 10.000 km back in 2015 and when I visited them in December 2016 I asked them to do the major service and repair whatever is in the car. Everything went smooth, no issues in the car and I took it back. On July 19th 2016 I took the car there for a quick service and complained about the same issue. (Car doesnt give full power.) They got back to me with the fact that the CVT assembly have an internal defect and that my warranty will not cover it because of the missed service.I work for one of the biggest automotive companies as a Warranty specialist in the middle east office which means I know my rights and the customers right. This of course raised many questions: When I bought the car from Al Rostamani I was informed that the car comes with 5 years warranty / 100 km. Apparently the car comes with 3 years only and the other two years are insurance warranty. (Dubai insurance.) I did NOT receive or signed any legal; document which shows me the terms and conditions of this insurance warranty, only the terms and conditions in the service booklet which obviously doesnt say: Your warranty will be void if you missed a service.I asked the service advisor in Dubai: Did it fail due to low amount of transmission oil? NO. Did you find any metal particles in the transmission oil or the oil was burned? NO. And since they cannot disassemble the transmission, then how did they know that it was misused!!! The middle east office offered 75% coverage on the repair. And I do appreciate it but: legally speaking, is it fair to charge the customer for a product defect, the missed service have no direct impact on the damage, if it did then it would fail in December when I got the car there for a full check. I am completely disappointed in how they are marketing for these 5 years warranty just to increase their sales. I am definitely raising this to the consumer protection, as soon as I receive an official letter from the dealer in Dubai and Nissan middle east providing me with the T&C of my warranty and a valid reason on why the repair is not covered.

Just because I didnt have Hackensack Nissan Dealer write down the deal they were offering when I went to the dealer, a debt collector is after me now. When I leased the Sentra back in March 2012 from Hackensack Nissan dealer in New Jersey, I had a lot of months left for the previous Altima. When I told a sales associate about it, two people at the dealer said, Okay. Well take care of it, and no other explanation. And of course, they didnt write it down and they let me switch to Sentra with some benefits. The benefits were a lower monthly payment and free maintenance for the life of the lease. The dealer said I was set. And this was the first day for the particular sales associate. A month later, he quit. So there was nobody other than me who knows what exactly happened. Also, this sales associate held on to my personal belongings from the old Altima. He quit without returning them to me.When I called Lou **, general sales manager, for the quitters contact info, he gave me a cell phone number that belonged to somebody else. So the employer didnt even have his employees contact information correct. A few weeks later, I started getting calls from the debt collector. I thought it was the early lease termination fee and I thought it should be taken care of by the Hackensack Nissan dealer. So I went to the dealer many times to see what was going on. There was absolutely no explanation of the situation by them. Instead, they told me to watch out for some mails which I need to bring to them. Of course, the alleged mail never arrived. This happened twice. And when I went to the dealer for the last time, Chris **, the general manager (he also quit a month later) and Freddie **, a sales associate, told me that they sent a partial payment for the Altima to Nissan but there was still a remaining balance. Both of them told me that the Altima was being auctioned now. So when they receive the money for Altima, they can pay everything off. And Freddie ** clearly told me that he didnt want to help me because I was rude. Also, he denied signing on the paper with the series of events I wrote down to record what happened at the dealer. When I called the dealer a month later to see if the payment was made, an accounting person, not the general manager or the sales associate, told me that the sales associate requested Nissan to waive the remaining amount and he was waiting for a reply from Nissan. After this, there is no correspondence with the Hackensack dealer. So they just left me with more than $3,000 debt to Nissan with no explanation by the dealer. In October, it was a rude woman from the Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation that told me the collector was requesting the remaining balance of Altima, and not the early lease termination fee.And as long as I dont have a paper to prove that the dealer is responsible for the amount, I should be responsible. If the dealer had told me originally that I would still be responsible for the Altima, I wouldnt have changed the car in the first place. Why would I have to switch a 2011 brand new Altima to a Sentra? But the dealer didnt explain to me. They never even mentioned that I had to pay for the Altima. And there are only verbal correspondence between me and the dealer. Oh, and after talking to Mr. ** at the Department of loss and recovery, I found out the $3,000 is the early lease termination fee and not the remaining balance of the Altima. Honestly, I lost count of all the lies they made to me. In the past 8 months, I was ridiculed and lied to numerous times.Mr. ** at the Department of Loss and Recovery told me that I didnt understand whats going on because of the language barrier I have. Mr. ** also at the Department of Loss and Recovery clearly said it was my fault to trust Nissan. And he was chuckling on the phone. Its sad how I end up like this after being a loyal customer for over 18 years. But I guess Nissan doesnt care about the old customers. I cant wait to return the Sentra and leave this company for good. To all the people here, my thoughts are with you. We just crossed our paths with deceitful people and company. Dont be fooled or preyed on by them ever again in your life.

We purchased our family dream car and recently noticed an issue. Online I read the likeliness of the CVT transmission being the issue that many customers are experiencing so we took it to our local dealer expecting the recall. The recall covers several years worth of Nissan car makes and models, but did not include ours. At 88,000 miles we were told the entire transmission needed to be replaced, with a cooler for the transmission too. The grand total quote of nearly $5500. We only owe $4000 on the car. A hard working family of 4 now has a family dream car that they cannot afford to fix. I read online calling consumer affairs would be a joke, it was. I called and waited the 24 hours for Nissan Consumer Affairs to tell me that there was nothing they could do.What this customer heard, my family hears, what everyone I know will hear is that Nissan does not stand by their cars. Nissan does not care about my family. Only 88,000 miles and we have a dead car, along with a sorry theres nothing we can do. Obviously there is a problem with the CVT transmission that needs to extend to the 2011 models too, Nissan. Very disappointed.

Purchased a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum brand new. Has 24K miles on it and all 4 tires are bald. My wife has hydroplaned with our 16 month old and our 4 month old in the car and almost crashed. We had to stop driving it. At first we thought that Bridgestone would be responsible but after talking to them we found that they do not offer a tire warranty on OEM tires. This is because the manufacturer, Nissan in this case, sets the specifications by which the tire is to be made. They spec soft rubber on OEM tires in order to get a softer ride and better gas mileage etc. So they are made by the tire manufacturer but to the specs that Nissan sets. In these types of agreements between car manufacturers and tire manufacturers the tire company offers no warranty on the tires because they know the rubber specs that car manufacturers set is inferior. Nissan buys poor quality tires with a name brand on them at dirt cheap prices, put them on all their cars and neither company takes any responsibility for the poor product. We have talked with Nissan consumer affairs until we are blue in the face and they will not lift a finger to help. They did not even offer to try to help us work with Bridgestone or our dealership to get a discount on new tires. They have literally offered no kind of help at all. Nissan designed the rubber compound, Nissan put them on their cars and passed them off as high quality, and Nissan should stand behind everything they put on their cars. Especially when they are directly responsible for the design and performance. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM NISSAN!

I have purchased 3 new Nissans and financed exclusively through NMAC (Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation). On one occasion, NMAC indicated that I was 30 days late on a payment. I had never been late on any of my other NMAC loans and explained that my check was mailed on-time like all the other payments. The credit department made it clear that there was no forgiveness for being late and never once gave me any benefit of the doubt. My opinion is it doesnt matter if you have never been late and its all about the money to them. If they give you bad marks on your credit (which last for 7 years), then the next time you finance via NMAC, they can charge you higher interest rates. Its a scam, so please be extra careful. Check and double-check any payment you make. Dont assume that NMAC is on your side. Hell, Nationwide is not even on your side, but Ill post that bad experience in another article. So it has been 6 years and 6 months, and the bad credit mark from NMAC should be dropped off at 7 years. I am in the market to buy a new car again, so I called their customer no-service department to see if they would give me a courtesy pass and remove the bad mark that they reported on my credit report. They created a case number, asked me to call back in 48 hours, and turned me down again. I will never buy another Nissan again. Note to the world, you can dispute an item on each of your credit reports (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion); and if NMAC doesnt respond within 30 days, by law, the item must be removed. The only way to teach Nissan and NMAC a lesson is to buy with one of their competitors. Also, if you happen to know someone or have the ability to get a message to Nissan headquarters in Japan, tell them that NMAC doesnt represent the company well. Tell them NMAC doesnt take into consideration your payment history before hurting their loyal customer base. That loyal customer base is certainly thinning out.

Shame on Nissan! I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated. My steering lock control unit went out and even though there was a petition to get this part recalled I had to pay for the part. It was past the warranty, but I was told that if I took my car to a dealership, I would get a fair review of my case by Megan, the regional consumer affairs specialist, in hopes of warranty assistance. She denied my claim in part because my 2009 Altima had not been to a dealership since 2011, implying that I was not a loyal customer. Why would I take my car to a dealership if there isnt any repairs that need to be done on it? I have owned FIVE , Nissans and bought 1 brand new car and 1 used car from Suntrup, not to mention personal recommendations. I have paid Nissan upwards of $40,000. If that isnt customer loyalty I dont know what is. Complaints have filed with the BBB, FTC, and NHTSA.

I have three case numbers for the same issue with Nissan USA (**). All of my correspondence should be included with each case number. The attached comment below was my last comment back to Nissan USA. I have offered to take part of the responsibility of the repair and pay the labor. I paid to have parts replaced that were in good working order. (Both catalyst) due to a known defect in the manifold upper tubing 2004/2007. The vehicle was passing DEQ every time I had tags renewed, which, I had done in November of 2014. I have no way of knowing when the manifolds cracked. If a notice had been sent out I would have taken my Armada in to be checked. The cracks were very small and in the same place on both of the old manifolds. The dealer was obviously aware of the issue. The service manager told me when he showed me the old manifolds, Nissan corrected the issue by adding a weld to the manifold to prevent it from cracking. I hope this can be taken to another level of review. This is my 4th Nissan and will probably be my last. If Nissan was truly interested in keeping customers for life they would at least cover the parts due to the nature of the issue. Had a notification been sent out in regard to the issue I would have taken the vehicle in to be repaired. Nissan basically covered their butt by extending the warranty and not notifying their customers of the issue --- WRONG --- this issue needs to go to a level above whoever is reviewing my case. I will pursue my case with the Consumer Protection Agency.

Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one
Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one star as there is no Zero that I can provide as a rating. Purchased three Nissan Vehicles from our local dealership. 1st was a 2012 Frontier (SL). Fully certified with less than 6,000 miles in 2015. The following issue came to light AFTER I purchased the truck. Both front and rear bumpers had to be replaced due to damage from the sale person who we found out drove the truck to pull his boat. He off set the bumpers and caused the braces to be pulled down causing the bumpers to pull away from the frame. The brakes were replaced twice at a cost of $680 each time. The initial brake repair was not proper repaired as the dealership used third party parts. Actually told me that and then claim they were Nissan parts - but had faults. Cost me two brake jobs and complete bumper replacements and the story is just starting. When I felt unsafe in the vehicle I was going to sell it back to Nissan. That is when the adjuster informed me that the right side fender has been damaged and repaired. Also the front glass had been replace incorrectly. None of this was on the CARFAX, nor reported to me at the time of sale. Now my wife has a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle has portions of the front bumper pulling away from the body. The dealership informed me that my wife must have hit a parking block and dragged the frame over the block which has caused damage to the underside of the car. My wife may drive her car less than 3000 a year and SHE did it. No I think when they were preparing the car was sell they hit the lifting rack and caused the damage. The foot lift door doesnt work. No problem the dealership will tell you as they really never work correctly. NICE!I have a 2015 Frontier from the same dealership. I just purchased the vehicle less than one month ago as I need to have a truck. Stupid me - thinking that everything would go well. Fooled me again! Yesterday the truck would not start leaving me well out of my local area. When we tried to replace the battery I found that wires and the battery were so corroded that it needed to replace the wiring and the battery. That was a great cost of funds. What does the 100 point inspect include? So I have been a fool for the third times. This is my fault. But I want everyone to know that you need to find a solid dealership that respect you and values your business.

Truck keeps dying intermittently, replaced the battery, still happens, left me out in the cold numerous times, been flat-bedded to dealership numerous times, also gives me problems detecting the key-fobs saying no key detected. After reading so many bad reviews about Nissan Cars I thought I would weigh in. I owned a 2001 Nissan Altima 213,000 miles no major problems. Never changed anything major on this car. Its whole life oil every 3,000 and brakes. Drove this car to the Crusher in 2017 just for its age and bad sensor costing too much for the value of the car. I owned a 2005 Nissan Maxima SL 233,000 miles the transmission finally went. Engine is still strong. I only changed the 3 Timing chains at 160,000. Other than that I never changed anything major on this car. Its whole life oil every 3,000 and brakes. Got rid of this one because the transmission outweighs the cost of the car.I own a 2007 Nissan Altima S with about 80,000 miles on it and it still runs and drives well. The only thing I could say is it burns about a quart of oil in between oil changes. But is still very reliable. My next purchase is a 2010 SV Premium Maxima with 98,000 miles on it. And I have no problem with getting a Nissan with this mileage, because with proper care they will last well above 200,000 miles.

I leased a Nissan Altima in 2006 and made all lease payments until the lease expired. The dealer that originally took the lease went out of business. I was told to continue payments and complied. In 2012 I was told that the payoff was $3,000. I continued to make the payments until that amount and more was reached. I have now been told that I still have to make the payments even though the total payoff has been made. All I want is my title so that the vehicle can be sold. Tonight I find myself online drafting a lawsuit against Nissan because they are still trying to charge me for the vehicle even though I have held up my end of the deal. Somehow they feel that because the dealer went out of business, I am obligated to pay indefinitely for this vehicle. Consumer Affairs at Nissan has been of no use. There is obviously no oversight at this company.

All I keep getting are customer service reps who sound like they have no idea what they are doing and just give you an attitude. With 38,215 I was told this weekend that I would have to replace the blower motor and resister. Estimated cost of parts and installation $1,100.00. This is the third time for this problem. First two times were under warranty. So other than the inconvenience, I had it repaired as instructed. Now that I have had the car for 6 years, it has happened a third time and the local dealers says it will cost $1,100.00 which is over 8.0% of what I paid for the car new.I filed a complaint with Nissan and have been given the customer service shuffle. Nissan has repeatedly refused to call at the time I have requested. I have provided the title to the car, the bill of sale, the insurance policy information, etc, etc, etc.Even requesting four different times that Nissan call between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday, I received a call this morning at 9:25 AM. The polite young man indicated he had received prior e-mail (everyone requesting the 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM time). While his English was very good, he clearly had not read the e-mail he said he had (could be from India).I know this is one of Nissans cheapest cars, but I have owned Sentras (before Versa) but never had this many problems with something as simple as a fan switch (resister). I will never buy another Nissan and will buy American in the future. If Japan is going to make cars as bad as the America cars, I might as well buy American. At least the parts are cheaper.

I have bought a used, which had 84 months warranty battery and still 5 more years left. I took my car to Nissan service center, Studio City, CA. They told me without the receipt they cant take it under warranty. How horrible this is. This is ridiculous with Nissan and they charged me $160 but outside the battery is just $75. Go hell Nissan, Studio City.

Nissan consumer affairs is a JOKE! Purchased a used 2011 Nissan Murano convertible from a Chevy dealer. Before the purchase though I made an appointment and brought the car to the local Nissan to have a pre-purchase inspection done from dealership the car was orig sold and maintained from. Got the thumbs up. I asked if there were any major issues. Was told no. Asked if I could get a print out of all services completed and was told I could not have that but the service tech read to me minor repairs that were done. So I purchased the car. 2 months into owning the vehicle the convertible top stops working... Come to find out the top on this vehicle had already been replaced at 12k miles and was brought in several times for complaints with the convertible top not opening properly. Now we have a car that the top DOES NOT WORK and they say it will cost $17,000.00 in parts to repair... This does NOT include labor. Nissan doesnt feel they are responsible for this repair. How can you expect a consumer to spend SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS + labor to repair a car worth 24K when it is clearly a known issue with this vehicle? We even found a bulletin Nissan published stating known issues with the top. This is the most unbelievable thing I have ever come across. NISSAN was my very first vehicle. Ive always thought they were great vehicles. I will never EVER purchase or recommend to ANYONE to ever buy a Nissan. We will be wrapping the car as a lemon and serving free lemonade out of it. DO NOT PURCHASE NISSAN.

I bought a brand new 2014 Nissan Sentra in 2014. Right off the lot with a brand new 2014 Murano to go with it. Well 20k miles later the gears arent shifting. My fiancé drives it less than a mile to work and back Mon-Fri and thats all. We drive the Murano more than anything. My mind is blown that I am being told that it needs a new transmission. SERIOUSLY not even 4 years of driving it and just hitting 20k and I basically need a whole new car. I still owe $15k on top of it all. Man they really saw us coming. Walked in ready to give birth wanting 2 fresh new safe vehicles for our baby and thats what we are sold. I will never recommend Nissan to anyone I know. I tell everyone the worst of it to make sure they arent being taken advantage of either. I am sickened by this dealership and anyone who has the heart to sell an unsafe vehicle to anyone walking through their doors. Reason of review: Damaged or defective. Monetary Loss: $15000. Preferred solution: Price reduction.

My daughter purchased a 2013 NISSAN SENTRA in November of 2013. In May of 2014, out of nowhere, the car transmission started slipping after 10,000 miles. She immediately took it to her dealership and they proceeded to diagnose the problem. I was advised that there have been some problems with the CVT transmissions, but they were working on them. Once sending proper testing documents to Nissan, the dealership replaced the transmission. It is a major concern of ours that the same year transmission was put back in the car, after being advised that once the transmission is replaced there were very few problems with them.I thought that since Nissan was confident in their product, that there wouldnt be any reservation in extending the new transmission warranty. Not so. Unfortunately, she will be losing 10,000 miles on the transmission warranty as it will run at the same time as the whole power train warranty, 60,000 miles or six years. Maybe they arent so confident in their product after all, nor am I!!!! Will not be recommending Nissan to future buyers.

Buyer beware! If you have purchased a vehicle through Nissan please review
Buyer beware! If you have purchased a vehicle through Nissan please review your paperwork/contract. Several dealerships have been adjusting the cost of the vehicles with dealer add-ons and making it seem as though these are items you have to sign off on and not options that can be declined. These include (VIN Etch, Paint Protection, Fabric Protection. Portfolio Protection Package, GAP Insurance) and can add thousands (mine was over $5,000.00) to the overall cost to the vehicle and if you are financing you will pay interest on all these add-ons as well. This is an unfair and deceptive trade practice and has fallen under scrutiny of the State Attorney Generals Office as well as the Federal Trade Commission. If this has happened to you please report the dealership to both your States Attorney General and the FTC.You can also file a record of complaint to the DMV as I am having to do because of the above listed as well as now finding out that the salesperson committed fraud by falsifying the loan application. Currently Nissan Corporate is not taking any accountability for the dealerships unscrupulous practices and so by filing a complaint, the more people that do will show that there needs to be repercussions and Nissan Corporate needs to be held responsible as well. We the consumers have the power to say NO MORE! Please be cautious and do research online before your next vehicle purchase and if you are a Nissan owner, take a look at your documents to make sure you werent duped. After looking, you may just find out you were. :(

I am the owner of a 2013 Nissan Rogue S AWD Special Edition. Prior to this vehicle I have bought Two and Leased Two, and believe me there is No Loyalty from this company. My complaint with Nissan is - on Sept. 2014 I brought my car to the Dealer MLG #34,387 Newburgh Nissan NY for CVT transmission problems. Whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway, very dangerous. They found an ABS code C1106. Had no problem until April 2015 and it happened again, whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway. So I brought it back to the Dealer MLG #45,452 Newburgh Nissan NY and they could not duplicate the problem and NO codes. OK so now I called Consumer Affairs of Nissan and I received a return call from ** (615) 725-7592 who gave my a REF. # **. Told her what was going on and she insisted that I take to a different Dealer for a Second Opinion. So thats what I did, I brought the car over to another Dealer MLG #45,963 April 2015 Middletown Nissan NY and they couldnt duplicate the problem as well and NO codes. And now to top it off, this problem its costing me money to a Rent A Car. OK So I picked up the car and on May 2, 2015 it happened again. On May 4, 2015 I had my friend hook up the scanner to check the system and found a stored code. Transmission Fault code P0744 Torque Converter ECU part # 31036-JM62A. So I brought the car back to the first Dealer Newburgh Nissan NY and thats where car is now, and they wouldnt give me a rent a car so I am stuck home. I left several messages with ** and have not received a call back. Shows you how concerned she is about this problem. I also filed 3 Vehicle Safety Complaints with Safercar, gov...

After working with the local dealer McLarty Nissan in Little Rock and Nissan manufacturer they took the word of some service tech that it was damage. But could not give me any facts on how they arrived at this. When I gave them numerous points and showed them how easily paint was coming off. If I could send my truck back today I would. I leased a 2013 Nissan Leaf two years ago from Peoria Nissan in Arizona. At the time, the salesman told me not to worry about the battery because Nissan just replaces them if there is any problem. That is totally a lie, and Peoria Nissan will not be of any assistance to me with my Nissan Leaf that has a range now of 59 miles (maybe) in the winter with no heater on. Dont ask about how it fares in the summer - it is ugly to say the least. I now have one more year to suffer through this vehicle because Nissan says the battery charges up to 10 bars and must decline to 8 bars.We know that this does not take into account battery fade - in other words - yes, it looks good when it is first charged, but like all failing batteries, the range quickly decreases as soon as you pull out of your driveway. My lesson in all of this is that Peoria Nissan lies to its customers - yes I know I should not be surprised, and that the manufacturer is choosing to make folks keep a car that simply does not meet the needs stated by the buyer when purchasing the car. I expected somewhere in the range of 70 miles which would allow me to drive back and forth to my work site daily and make a couple side trips as well. This was all explained to the salesman when I leased the car. He is no longer with the dealership. So, I asked if the dealer would work with me on terminating my lease and getting a 2016 Leaf that supposedly had a better battery. Unlike the salesmans reassurances that it was no big deal to end the lease after 24 months, the dealer asked for the entire amount of the last 12 payments and the car. The explanation was that Nissan had changed its lease terms and that the residual value stated in my contract was no longer really valid. The upshot was that for over 900 dollars per month, I could get out of my current lease, turn in my car and get a comparable 2016 Nissan Leaf. Ha Ha Ha. I am laughing only because I am happy to share this saga with anyone who might be foolish enough to trust Nissan and buy or lease one of their vehicles. My advice - just because their contracts are preprinted - insist on adding terms that the salesman tells you in writing and have them initial them. You will then perhaps find out what the real deal is. Thanks for listening.

The mileage is still terrible. Nissan is telling me the advertised mileage of 23-30 mpg is an estimate only so if Im getting ten mpg, they are not responsible and they will not help me in any way. Since I purchased my car, the tires will not stay inflated. I have to add air, every week. There is vibration when I exceed 60 mph. The Sun Roof sometimes works, and sometimes when it closes it sounds like the glass is going to break. The passenger side window sounds the same way. Ive taken my car into the dealership at least 10 times since I purchased it. They do nothing about the tires. They find nothing wrong with the car when they test drive it to feel the vibration (on the local streets). As if I dont know at the age of 49 whether a brand new car should have vibration. The passenger side front window motor has now been replaced. On my way back from a customers - 2-hour drive - my air conditioner stopped working. It was only 97 degrees outside. Finally by mid-day the next day it started working again. Took it to Nissan. They couldnt find anything wrong. My drive is 10 mile drive across town (30 mins one way) to get to the Nissan dealership. They would not give me a discount on an oil change, a car to drive, or offered me anything. After 10 visits in 1 1/2. I reached out to the home office. They agreed to do a lemon review. As I suspected, they say they do not feel it is a lemon. Brand new car, $500 a month I pay to go into the dealership at least every other month. Currently sitting at 30,000 miles. I put air in my tire on Monday - 33 lbs. Today it shows 29 lbs. 5 days. Ive had my Toyota since 2001 and had to take it in to get the computer fixed at 140,000 miles. $350. Other than that, normal wear/tear. Its still running fine pushing 200k miles. The best part, Action Nissan, offered to put me into a new Nissan. At an inflated cost - $600 doc fee, $19k on my trade (which I owe $22k and at the time they were selling them for $25k - which I sent them pics of the ads) and they wanted me to pay $38-35k for the new one when they were running ads offering them at a price of $25,600 which I also showed them pictures of. I had a crappy car and have a very demanding sales job. I need reliable transportation. I have been inconvenienced 10 times - because each time Ive had to leave my car over night. I do not have a second vehicle as my child drives the Toyota now. They would not discount an oil change and wanted to screw me over by trying to get me to pay about $10k more for a new car. I told them I would not even consider a new car if the Nissan that I have worked. I keep cars until they hit about 150k mileage. So not only would I be upside down in my car, but they want to overcharge me for the new one. (Im in finance - I ran the numbers). Action Nissan sucks, Nissan Corporation sucks. 1st time owning a Nissan. LAST time owning a Nissan. They dont stand behind their cars, they have terrible customer service, and then they try to screw over their customers. I will be getting rid of my Nissan soon. I will continue to spread the word to my friends and family to NEVER own a Nissan. 1200 people will know.

I just bought a Nissan on April 13th and wanted to inquire about the payoff amount. NMAC informed me that my contract (i.e., purchase date of the vehicle) was March 29th. NMAC then informed me that I have been accruing interest on a vehicle I did not own for two weeks racking up nearly $200 in interest for this timeframe. I was told to contact the dealer to adjust this. Dealer told me to go ** myself speaking with the financing manager. I tried contacting the general manager only to be blown off. Sales manager has been negligent as well. Nissans objective is to sell a vehicle then screw the customer. If I had known this, I would have never bought a Nissan. Now, I am told I am SOL by both the dealer and NMAC. This is flat out fraud. In this economy, customer service is more important than ever. I wonder why Hyundai, a once inferior product, is gaining traction where Nissan is losing traction and value. Nissan and NMAC are prime contributors. We were looking at replacement for the wifes old Mazda and was thinking an Altima. There was no way in ** Id buy another Nissan now.

I have a case # **. I have bought a lot of cars in the past, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi. I bought a Nissan Sentra because of their reputation. I am very dissatisfied. I do not believe I would be buying another Nissan in the future. I have taken the car back 6 times for the same problem, cracking noise in dashboard. They said they fix it and a week later, it starts again. This time, I am very upset, I took the car to Lake Nissan in Leesburg, FL. I am staying in Orlando for a while. They told me they replaced a broken clip. When I picked up the car, they put some kind of foam around front of dashboard. The foam is sticking out. It does not look very nice. They DID not put paper on floor to work on the car. This is the 6th time I take it to a dealer. I bought a new car not to have issues and this is awful. When I went to the dealership at Lake Nissan in Leesburg, they were trying to get me a new car and get rid of my car, but of course I would lose a lot of money. I was willing to do that if I would just lose $1,000.00 but not $4,000.00. They were very persistent to me leasing a car. I had two employees come and talk to me about it. I feel that they were upset, because like I mention before, they really DID not do a good job on the car. I contacted the state consumer affairs. I do not know what else to do. I am so dissatisfied with Nissan. Like I mentioned before, I would not buy another car from Nissan again.

Altima 2009 was returned, inspection (wear and tear) - no charges. 5 1/2 months later, a letter from NMAC says they found engine sludge and they are charging me of improper maintenance. I did the proper maintenance. The cars engine light was not on, no sluggish acceleration, and no smoke when lease was returned. Now, NMAC is charging me for a new engine if I did not produce evidence of oil changes. I no longer have records of a lease returned 5 1/2 months ago. I called many times and explained their answer for me to find the records. Second letter, 3 months later, and now its over 8 months since the lease was returned. New engine charge is $3,737.06. Nissan needs to do more in-depth inspections, not just the wear and tear. It is illegal, unfair, and unreasonable to charge $3,737 for a new engine 8 months after a lease has been returned. Nissan needs to inform the consumer of any costly repair so that proper economic decisions can be made by the consumer before a lease return. I am at NMAC’s mercy now. They can charge anything they want and spoil my credit. I am held hostage by NMAC.

Last month (September) I was driving and my car would not accelerate. I took my car to Auto Zone so they could run a test on it to see what was wrong. The code they could not read. He told me to try getting my oil changed (I just got my oil changed July but I did it anyway). My car worked fine for a while. I got to a stoplight and again the car started not to accelerate again. So the next day I had it towed to my friends auto shop. He told me that my transmission had went out. The main issue is that I just had my transmission replaced by Nissan last July. I have a 2015 Nissan Versa.Nissan states they will not replace my transmission because Im out of the warranty. I think this is ridiculous. They can obviously see that there are issues with their transmissions because they have several other complaints about it. I purchased a 2018 Nissan Murano with 14k miles on it in Feb 2019 with full warranty. It was the first time I had bought a used/program car and it will be my last. In mid-July the sunroof started experiencing an issue when closing it. Id press the button to close the sunroof and it worked fine until it got to the front and instead of closing it would kick back open. I took it to the local dealer and they thought it would be a simple fix to change out the motor. Fast forward to now and 3 motors later and still NO RESOLUTION. Im now at DAY 50 of not having my vehicle back or fixed. The dealership tells me they are not getting support needed from Nissan Tech Engineers, have tried 3 different motors and nothing is working. Last Friday I reached out to Nissan Consumer Affairs because the dealership is getting nowhere and they inform me there will be ANOTHER 10-day wait until while they act as liaison between myself and dealership. The communication on both ends has been horrible and its completely unacceptable for them to have my car for almost 2 months with no resolution in sight. The service experience between the dealership and corporate has been a nightmare and I will never buy a Nissan again. The rep at Nissan Consumer Affairs sounds like shes reading off a script and also made it sound like it was my fault for not reaching out sooner. Up to this point Ive always trusted my local dealership and I believed they were working diligently on my issue. It appears Nissan just doesnt want to replace the entire track for the sunroof under warranty... Maybe they are fighting about who is going to pay for it. All I want them to do at this point is to buy this car back so I can move on. Im so done. It shouldnt take 2 months to fix a sunroof.

I bought a Nissan about 5 months ago. They were ready and willing to help me in a car. They went out and brought the Nissan to show me. About 3 or 4 months ago the car had places on the hood and trunk of the car. I took the car to the Nissan place in Greer S.C. They looked at it said rocks from the road did this. Well dont you think I would have felt and seen when the rocks would have hit my car? As big as the places are, they would not help me! But if I was going to buy a car they would have been all over me! I took it to a man that paints cars. They said take it to Nissan where I bought it that it was in the paint! They tried to say it was rocks that did it. The man that looked at it picked at it and made it worst.I told him I wish he would stop doing that he was making it worst! Thats when he said he couldnt help me! That paint guy could have charged me to paint the car, but he was honest to tell me that! Somebody told me I could make that man pay for the damage he done to my car picking at it the way he did! I love the way the car rides now but Im afraid it might fall apart any time. Wish I had never bought the car from Nissan. Im very very unhappy with those people and the car the way it looks! I cant afford to trade the car or I would, but not with them! This is the first time I have purchased a Nissan. I am pretty sure I will never again. I have been to the shop numerous times for things that should not be happening in the first year. The underneath trim which is supposedly useless has fallen off twice. My brakes squeaks (which I dont understand why) never had another car that did unless brakes pads need to be changed. Oh and that has already have been done. The wheel well had to be replaced twice as well.Along with all the starter issues. Seems to me that pieces of a brand new car that has been repaired twice on two separate pieces should not be falling off. And for Nissan not to care that I have been to the dealership as often as I have. I think I have been there way too often for my liking. Very disappointed in the things happening to this car and Nissan reaction to my concerns is so concerns of theirs. When I first purchased the car another customer by the car talked so highly about Nissan in general so I was excited to have a good quality car and that is far from what I have had since purchasing.

Have been ripped off and treated so poorly! I paid for a brand new Nissan Ultima. Before it had 30,000 miles on it the thing over heated three times shutting down on the side of the road! A fire started under the hood. They would not even come and get me or tow the car! I had to pay for it even though I got roadside service! When I called for help they said I wasnt eligible then the next day they said they wouldnt refund the tow! Then the heater broke! They said they found the problem and fixed it but when it broke again in two weeks they refused to even look at it saying nothing was wrong with it to begin with and they couldnt spend money to keep trying to fix it. They never fixed it. They kept saying it was fine. LOL so patronizing and unhelpful. I wear coats in the car now. I applied to Nissan corp for help. They stalled me two months then said no. Dealer only said the repeated overheating and fire was a bad alternator that we should have caught but they wouldnt replace the car or engine. On a NEW car??? Other shops now tell me the heater malfunction is due to the critical overheating and that many other systems will be significantly damaged. I asked what are the specs on the heater: they said, Ohh we dont have any. Lemon laws are useless if they can get the thing to drive off the lot. Shame on them. I was ripped off. My husband and I leased a Nissan Rogue as a second car for him to drive back and forth to dialysis. We choose Nissan because of a very good lease program available to us. This was our first experience with a Nissan vehicle but not a lease program. 14 months in the lease, my husband passed. I called Nissan numerous time to work out a deal to get released from the Nissan and lease program. The penalty to get out of the lease is full payment of the lease minus one payment. Much to my surprise there is no death penalty in the lease agreement and basically I am stuck with the car and lease. I explained my hardship on not needing 2 vehicles with no longer having my husbands income, no longer having a need for a second car, no longer needing to make vehicle insurance payments or license payments. Needless to say, how disappointed I am with Nissan to not honor a death of a spouse or hardship. I have been very vocal on my disappointment of Nissans treatment and their lack of sympathy of my husbands passing. This was my first and last time I will ever purchase a Nissan vehicle.

Still trying to pursue a Lawsuit over a negative life-changing experience which cost me negative and fraudulent credit reporting by NMAC of which I did end up homeless, (my line of work depended heavily on a near perfect credit report) for which NMAC finance/accounting department exercise Corporate Greed to the Max!NMAC lacks Leadership in their Accounting Department. Will accept Fraudulent paperwork that High School Graduates with ZERO accounting background, are the financier within Nissan Dealership cross country. The Nissan Dealership Mission is to prey on the Independent Purchaser; check / run credit background, even at a great Credit Score Rating, will state Zero% interest, yet Contract at 4.99% interest... Gross financial administrative error! Then, they will overinflate car cost. (Bait & Switch rule) Targeting and profiling minorities. (**s, Hispanic and Single Women purchasers.)Truth is, the dealership gains!!! The NMAC financial service gains, the State DMV gains, and the infrastructure within the county gains at the expense of the Consumer! As a whole, Nissan Capitalizes on good citizens absent of Financial Accountability by accepting fraudulent contracts by their own dealership!! This action would never hold merit in US Banking or Security grounded financial institutions. The Dealership will sell maintenance issue Vehicles under the pretense that car is without flaws. While the very own Consumer Protection Lawyer in that particular district eats lunch with the local Lawyer who represents Nissan Dealerships and NMAC! Even the Lemon Law doesnt hold up in Court, to include Consumer lawyers must be paid heavily as a kick-back bonus to steer clear of Lawsuits targeting Nissan. Similar to pharmaceutical Corporations and malpractice suits with cross-contamination probable issues! Those Consumers lack legal representation as a whole! Still hoping to get involved with a Class Action Consumer Violation on a Federal Scale! Oh, did I mention its a Japanese Corporation; manufacturing in Tennessee... NMAC Financial Department lacks Leadership, fails to correct issues and prey on U.S. Citizens as a whole! Now, lets talk about tariff issues of an overseas corporate business dealing in the USA. The last I saw, the Yen is stronger than the dollar and we continue to be screwed one way or another...THINK ABOUT THAT, before you buy Asian based Products. For the love of MONEY!

We currently have a lease that we have been trying to buyout for a week. I originally got a payoff figure online which was good through 11/7/2011, had even called Nissan Finance and got the same figure with the same good through date. Unfortunately, you can not pay them off directly and they require you to go through the dealership. We have been trying to deal with Napoli Nissan of Milford. Originally, my husband called over a week ago asking for a payoff figure and they told him to come in, but dont come in on Saturday because its busy. Who says that. The Saturday they are referring to was last week 10/29. So, my husband calls in the beginning of the week, basically playing phone tag, leaving messages and not getting returned phone calls. I finally went there on Tuesday to try to get the information. So of course, they wanted to try to get me into a new lease and I told them I would entertain the idea but I need both figures. A final buyout figure and what the monthly payment would be for a new lease. By the time I left there, I left without either of the figures and got, I am going to have to deal with Nissan, its going to take me some time to get the numbers for you. Really, because Im sure if I said yes, they would have had the numbers right then and there. So when I left there, I thought about it and called literally within 5 minutes after leaving and asked for the payoff figure again. No return call. The next day, Wednesday, my husband called and we were given the run around, the woman that crunches the numbers is not here today. The next day, I email and call, get a return phone call with another run around, The manager is not in and needs to do the numbers. Well, if I wanted to buy a new car that day I guess I couldnt. Highly unlikely. Now, today, Friday I called again and got a return phone call. However, the new base payout figure is completely different than what I originally got from Nissan Finance. The reason being is the automated line that the dealership calls has already rolled over to a good through date of December 7. The payout figure I was supplied with was good through November 7. I told the salesperson this and they gave me the automated number to call and sure enough it rolled over to December. So, I called back, spoke with a representative and asked that they fax over to the dealership the payoff figure that is good through November 7. They indicated that they could do that but they needed my husband to call because he is on the account and I am not. Okay, so we do that and when my husband calls, they told him that they cant put it back to 11/7. Thats just odd to me, since that date hasnt even come and gone yet. Arent they a financial institution?

I have a 2013 Nissan with about 85,000 miles and was just told I need a new transmission. The first issue I had was when the RPMs climbed to almost 7 on the Highway, but the car was hardly moving! I purchased a 2008 Nissan Rogue in March 2009 with only 9700 miles on it. Within 45 days of purchase, the vehicle needed a CVT replacement. Over the years I continued to experience various issues with the vehicle and found myself visiting the dealership every three months or less. The CVT failed again in April 2014. I was covered by the extended warranty (120,000 mile/10 year) with only 118K on the vehicle. Unfortunately, two years and 15K miles later, the CVT installed in 2014 has also failed and the vehicle needs a third replacement. Nissan said the CVT is covered by a one year/12K mile warranty. Despite knowing the part is defective, Nissan is not stepping up to assist with this most recent failure, not even offering a discount on the service or part to help offset the cost of their faulty part. On top of the poor quality of these CVTs, Nissans customer service is a huge failure. Their consumer affairs representatives do not communicate and then completely blow you off once they have decided to deny your request for assistance or coverage on the faulty part (clearly they do not understand part of their jobs as customer service representatives is providing results and sometimes bad news to customer, not just ignoring them). Nissan closed my case without ever speaking to me regarding the final results of the investigation. I have approached the local dealership directly in an effort to receive a quote for this repair and have been waiting two days for a service rep to call me back with the estimate despite follow calls to inquire on the situation. Nissan has failed on both quality and service.

2011 Nissan Juke: So far I have had to turn my car in for 2 recalls. One was the engine and the second was the timing belt. The second time they had to fix my car. They told me they would be keeping it for 4-5 days! This wouldnt be a problem if they would give me a loaner car. However, they dont give out loaners unless you have 70,000 miles or less on your car. What? Why? My car only has 80,000. The only reason my car is in the shop is because of their faulty manufacturing and recall. The Town Center Nissan in Kennesaw, GA serviceman said I would have to call Nissan headquarters in order to get the rule overruled. OK... whatever.I call them and then it takes a day for them to get back to me to say they refuse to help me because I didnt buy the extended service warranty. Well, if I would have known what a piece of crap car and company I was buying from (I wouldnt have made the purchase) I would have bought the warranty. I asked kindly for them to make an exception because I am a good customer AND I am right at the line. Still they refused and had no other response except to say, You didnt buy the extended service warranty. What are you trying to do Nissan? NO Customer Service? Teach me a lesson about buying extended service warranties?! Its not enough to be a customer who spent 18,000 on your faulty product?! This will be the LAST Nissan I own.

I bought a Nissan Altima for them in 2014 and financed through Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. All was great with the car until I was involved in a bad wreck injuring my wife. Talked to Nissan several time over next couple months getting total loss taking care of. Insurance paid all but 5,100.00 and some change. I was told from multiple people within customer service in total loss that as long as I made a payment, this would not be negatively reflected on an account. I made payments that were more than my required payment amount. Then the real fun began. I made a 5,127.44 payment in the form of a check and mailed in, happy it was going to be done. Waited a week, checked account and it was still not listed. Check another week later and still nothing. So I called, they said the check was damaged and could not be processed and mailed the check back. This whole time I stayed in communications with Nissan. I told them once I received the large check back, I would send another check for total payoff. I was advised by another customer service member in total loss department that as long as payments were no further than thirty days apart, I was good. Well they LIED. I was sent to collections department within Nissan and told it will be listed on my credit as a charge-off. I did just received the check damaged yes, but was damaged when opened at Nissan. They opened the envelope long was tearing the account numbers off, then sent the check to me in two pieces so I will make a full payment to be DONE with Nissan but this car was 2014 with 8,500 miles when totaled and was just waiting for this to be cleared to by a 2015, NOT ANY MORE. Nissan will never get the chance to sell finance or even talk to me about one EVER..... And as a veteran, I will post this on all my veterans pages that I am on. I do not recommend Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to ANYONE.

I leased a BRAND NEW 2013 Nissan Altima from Newburgh Nissan in NY. It had 48 miles on it. Ive had the car almost 3 months and brought it in for an oil change today, and asked if they could check out the transmission since it has been sputtering while making left-hand turns. Not only did they try to first CHARGE me just to CHECK the transmission problem, but they came back and said, the transmission is totally shot. This is a known problem. I called NMAC (the leasing company) and they said someone would call to mediate by 5PM. NO ONE CALLED. I agree with the last review. I was suckered into a HIGH monthly payment from DAY ONE. I understand the transmission is under warranty, but for the week or more that they will have my car in the shop, are they going to reimburse me for that portion of my car payment? NO. And I have to pay for a rental??? UNACCEPTABLE. And how many times is this car going to be back in the shop with a new transmission??? I guess I have to wait until they install 3 different transmissions in order to seek relief citing the NYS Lemon Law.

$5 fee to pay online? $10 over the phone? I refuse to be charged for something that really just makes their lives easier (paying online cost them a heck of a lot less than them having to pay a staff to receive and cash the checks). Theres no fee to mail a check, so thats what I did instead and I shouldve guessed, they never received it and explained that to me the day after payment was due. How convenient. Now, I have a $25 late fee + a $5 fee to pay it online. Way to go, Nissan. Chalk that one up as a $30 win. Thirty seven lease months from now, you will have forever lost a 28-year-old potential customer for life. I lease $40k+ vehicles, thats at least 50 years of revenue potential pissed away for poor business practices.

The promotion is a complete failure. I am unable to register or to log in; the instructions in the Internet are to enter either the pin code or the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), while the instruction on the colorful mailing is to enter the pin code and repair order invoice. Also, on the mailing is an instruction to scan to enter. The local employees in S. Burlington are completely uninformed of the sweepstakes. Repeated phone calls to the local office are either not answered, or unanswered by people with no knowledge of the sweepstakes. I called a number once asking for help; a man answered saying there was a problem, but he managed to enter my registration. On the second try, neither my registration nor log in information would work. If Nissan is going to run a sweepstake, it should be done with much more care.

Im in the process of purchasing a used 2004 Nissan Maxima. I have not had the vehicle for thirty days. It needed a wheel alignment in which the dealer said he did. The car jerks when changing gears from reverse to drive. It slips backward a little. The check engine soon light came on for three (3) days, then went off. Right now, the only money, I spent at this time is the down payment. What is my legal recourse regarding State lemon laws and/or the Uniform Commercial Code? I have not registered the vehicle in my name as of yet. However, it is due by October 26, 2013. I thought Nissan was a reliable and dependable vehicle, with my experiences and the numerous complaints, I see it is not. Consumer Affairs: This is a dangerous situation and why are you asking us to file a complaint if you are not going to force Nissan to do a recall or fix these consumers vehicles? The complaints are so similar in nature and what are you doing! Does someone have to be killed or badly injured before you force Nissan to do what is legally the right thing to do? Right now, my confidence level is not high at all for Nissan or Consumer Affairs. We are hard working individuals and cannot afford these repairs and car payments. The consumers are counting on you to force Nissan to be liable for these defects.

It started out that my A/C would not work if I was sitting still. We called Nissan service and asked them what it could be. They listed a few different things. And none of them were your transmission could be getting contaminated with radiator fluid. Then on Christmas, our heat stopped working. My father-in-law had my husband check the radiator fluid. It was low so they filled it up. And everything was fine. No one still had any idea what was going wrong. Then in March 2010, I went to pull out into traffic. My car had a hard time switching gears and picking up speed. It just suddenly happened it was driving fine. And then, nope not anymore! Thank the Lord I am one of those drivers who wants the road to be almost clear. Because if not, I would have had a bad accident. So then, I called some people. And at that time, no one still knew what was going on. We have some Nissan techs that are friends. So, I guess Nissan finds out the problem somehow, but they will not help anyone out. Even if you got all your services, this would not have been caught. Nissan needs to man up and fix these cars! I have called National Highway at 888-327-4236 and have made a complaint! Please everyone, do the same.

I have a brand new Nissan Rogue. I live in Colorado and sometimes have to park under trees during the day for work. Other than that, the vehicle is kept in a garage and is washed frequently as I use the car to pick up business clients at the airport sometimes and want a good professional impression. Last week during a few days that seemed like spring here, a group of robins in a tree above my car managed to use my car for target practice. When I got in the car at about 6:00 p.m., I noticed the droppings and took it to a professional car wash the next morning at 8:00 a.m. on my way to work; only the droppings didnt wash off. The bird droppings damaged the seal coat and now I have dull smears all over my shiny new car. We hand washed, tried wax, took it to an auto body shop for their advice and then to the Nissan car dealer we bought it from. They said that they had seen this before from bird droppings and the only way to get it right was to repaint. This is a $27K car. Seriously, I cant drive anywhere where birds exist from now on or I need a new paint job? So here is where we are. Even if they do manage to fix the spots that exist on the car now, throughout ownership of this car, I will have to protect it constantly or expect to drastically reduce value every time a bird flies over! This is ridiculous to expect that paint on a vehicle can get totally ruined within 24 hours by bird droppings. Needless to say, this has and will greatly reduce the value of the vehicle. I am going to file an official complaint with Nissan and if they do not give any results, I will pursue this all the way up the ladder. Anyone else having this problem with new Nissan products?

I have a 2010 Nissan Versa sedan. I have had the service engine light on almost the entire time Ive had the car, or at least since the warranty ran out. The diagnostic code indicates a fuel system leak, which has already been recalled on other models but not mine. I am also experiencing fuel pressure regulator problems, which was also a technical service bulletin for other Nissan Versas just not my VIN number. Im furious that known problems arent being evaluated properly for all years and/or models. Ive had my car in the shop several times because it wont start, FPR issues. Im spending my money on rental cars and inspections of my vehicle while Im still paying off my Nissan Versa and Nissan isnt doing anything about a problem that is known because they are limiting which VIN numbers to provide service to. However, the dealer who has provided service for other recalls on my vehicle keeps calling me trying to get me to buy another Nissan. I feel they are aware of the problem and instead of offering service they want me to buy another Nissan. Im disgusted with the lack of service for known problems. I feel these issues need to be expanded to other year makes outside of the bulletin as it is tight now.

I have had my Leaf for just under 2 years and 10 months. It has a key-FOB for keyless starting system (push button start) and to lock/unlock the doors. My car did not recognize either of my keys yesterday while I was about 5 miles from home. I walked home and called service, and I was told that either the battery was dead or that the car needed to be reprogrammed to recognize the FOB. I could unlock the door with a real key, but there was no way to start the car without the FOB. Not only was there no back-up method to start the vehicle, I was told I had to bring the key-FOB to the dealer to have the battery replaced; I could not just change it myself. I found this hard to believe. After getting the car to Nissan service, it was determined that the key-and-car needed to be reprogrammed to recognize each other and that this was not something that was covered under warranty. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs and I was told that warranties cover something wrong with the car not the key. If the car doesnt recognize the key, and needs to be reprogrammed, how is this not a problem with the car? Also, certainly there should be a back up to start a keyless car. Also, customers should be able to replace batteries in their FOBs.

Absolutely horrible service from all aspects of Nissan. Summary: Issue was reported to Nissan Consumer Affairs (CA) and I was told that my car was still under warranty. My vehicle was at McDavid Nissan for 5 days before it was looked at despite having an appointment. Due to the delay in inspecting the vehicle the warranty had exceeded the 3 year warranty window. CA changed. Told me I was out of luck but would examine my case for out of warranty assistance. This would take an additional 3-5 business days. 12+ calls were left unanswered and messages left un-returned about the status of my vehicle. 3 messages left with the service manager were un-returned. No loaner car was provided and I was told I would need to pay to rent a vehicle. The 6 hour job took 9 days to complete.Full Story: I purchased a 2016 370Z NISMO In November 2015. My vehicle developed a water leak in heavy rain on the driver side door. This looks to be a common problem with these vehicles. My vehicle had 33,000 miles and I was told at another dealership that the warranty only covered 32,000 miles. I reported the issue to CA on a survey and was called by a representative. They told me that my vehicle was still under warranty and should take it in. I made an appointment as soon as I could and dropped the vehicle off on a Monday at 4 PM. I was told that no loaner would be provided and that I needed to pay for a rental. This is ridiculous and seems to be the common policy for all Nissan dealers. By Wednesday they had still not inspected the car. Finally, on Friday they called to let me know that they had found the issue and that I would need to approve the charges. I called to find out what the charges were since it was under warranty, but my service rep was out of the office and no one else could help me. On Saturday I was finally able to reach my service rep who informed me that my warranty had expired 3 days prior to me bringing it in and the work would cost $2,000. I called back to CA to figure out why I was told the work would be covered. When I called they told me I was screwed. Even though I had reported the issue inside the 3-year window, and the exact issue I described was found upon inspection, since the service department took so long to inspect the vehicle the warranty had expired. On the following Monday they called me back in and said they would look at my case for out of warranty assistance in 3-5 days but there were no guarantees. I told the dealer to order the parts so that the work could progress while I was waiting. The parts took twice as long to arrive over what I was told. When I called to find out about the status of the parts my calls were ignored and when I left messages no one would return my calls. I called over 8 times on Tuesday to get a status update and all the calls were ignored. I left 2 different messages with the service manager and these calls were never returned. I was again denied a loaner car. During the entire process my issues were treated as my problem and Nissan was of no help. On Wednesday I called again to get a status update, after 3 ignored call and another ignored message to the service manager, I was told that they were still waiting on approval from CA. CA told me they had marked the case urgent, but it could take another day or two. I told them the work would be complete and that I was going to pick up the car because I needed transportation. CA said that if I did that, the case would have to be reevaluated for reimbursement and could change their decision. I told them that this was absurd, and they said they couldnt do anything about it. Later that day CA called to let me know they had finally reached a decision to cover the repairs. I went to the dealership to pick up the car, but it wasnt ready even though I was told it would be. When the car was finally done, they didnt pull it up, they just gave me the keys and told me to go find my vehicle. I will never buy another Nissan and neither will my friends or coworkers.

Bear with me this a long story, but I took a chance with a Nissan Dealer and am now regretting ever buying a Nissan. I’ve owned my car for a little over 3 months, and 1/3 of those months I have had it in the shop- untouched. Unfortunately, I live in Michigan- where the road conditions are unpredictable. I hit something, and immediately had it towed to a Nissan dealership near me - Fox Nissan of Lansing. This is where they held my car for 2 weeks, telling me they could repair it. At the end of these 2 week they informed my insurance that they DO NOT have a collision center and cannot fix my car. Look, I know I should have asked the right questions, but I work a 9-5 job and every time I tried to call to talk to someone they were busy, which I understand, but I never received any callbacks, and I received no EMPATHY from the sales desk. When talking to what was said to be the manager there, he offered me nothing for my wait. After towing my car to a collision center nearby, they inform me one part for my car will take 4-6 weeks to get there. Then at which I will have to wait for them to fix my car. Now, I am in a position where I must loan a family friend’s car for 2 months. I then reached out to Nissan’s customer service to see if there is anything they can do for me. I wait another week to find out there is not ONE single thing they can do for me, NOTHING. Now, I have worked in the customer service industry for YEARS. For me to buy a car and have something misfortunate happen soon after, and must wait 2 months for me to see my car, be offered no rental/ loaner, no free future services, no free car payments, nothing? Now that makes for a very unhappy customer. I will no longer be buying a Nissan after this car. For any new car buyers? I wouldn’t buy a Nissan either.

Third time, they kept the car 5 days and couldnt find the problem, so they replaced the wiring harness. Fourth time, the gauge cluster (display) went completely black, and when I took it in to get it fixed, rotate tires and change my oil, they found a front axle leaking oil. I talked to my servicing dealer about trading out of the lease, and they told me the value of the vehicle had dropped in HALF in ONE year, leaving me with no option to trade out. I then contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs to discuss being released from my lease. They drug the process out over a month, hoping I would go away. I continued to pursue them via daily telephone calls. They sporadically returned my calls, using my cell phone, rather than my preferred number at work, thus avoiding direct contact with me. They had indicated they were reviewing my complaint and would have a response by Monday. They notified me today they are only willing to provide me a two-year maintenance plan, but nothing further. THIS CAR IS A LEMON. I recommend NO ONE purchase a new Nissan with this buy the car, but forget servicing the customer after the sale attitude. I have always been a fan of Nissan - purchased many vehicles in the past, and strongly recommended their product to many of my friends. I am sorry to say I have lost all confidence and URGE anyone to live under the BUYER BEWARE philosophy.

Bought a new 2005 Nissan Sentra from Nissan in 2005. In 2015, only have 74,000 miles. Catalytic Converter and Engine still under warranty. Catalytic Converter went out and caused damage to the Engine. Let Nissan look at my car one day. Engine light was on. Could not find problem. Took car out and air conditioner not working! Only blew hot air! Had to pay over $500! Left car at Nissan. Kept given different dates to pick up car. Nissan claim they were waiting on parts, and kept my car for 6 weeks! Was given a free rental car under the warranty. Cannot drive rental car for my job! Lost six weeks of wages.

The CVT Transmission in my 2007 Nissan Sentra failed. I contacted Nissan customer affairs as advised by the authorized Nissan dealer repair shop. Nissan has acknowledged that the failure is due to a design flaw in the CVT transmission and based on their own diagnostics, they have agreed that I, the consumer, am not at fault in any way for the failure. The representative admitted this is a flaw Nissan is aware of, and acknowledged that this has been an issue for other Nissan customers. After waiting for more than a week for a resolution, I was contacted by a Nissan corporate representative and informed that Nissan would offer no assistance with the repair or replacement of the faulty transmission. This is a direct quote for the representative: Youre just out of luck, maam. Nissan refused to let me speak with someone who would be authorized to alter this decision.

My transmission went out at 5 years old and 74000 miles on my Nissan Murano
My transmission went out at 5 years old and 74000 miles on my Nissan Murano. There were absolutely no positive comments about Nissan the corporation. After receiving the horrible news. The reason my vehicle felt like it was in neutral all the time was because the transmission was out. Patterson quoted me $5200. I called a local transmission shop and they said they would do the job for $4300. I asked Patterson about it and they said they would match the other shops price... WOW. Then I said, Well I may have definitely not had $5200 but I still dont have $4300 so I decided to call Nissan the corporation. Still within the years warranty but not the mileage warranty. They did not have to do anything. I went through the process of the phone answering service. Talked to one person then to another. The lady said on a Wednesday that she had 3 days to get back to me with an answer. All this time the dealership had our vehicle and had not been authorized to do the work. I felt like if I made it look like I could afford it by authorizing the work to be done that it would be a no brainer and they would not feel the need to help me out. Soooo all in all my vehicle had been at the dealership for one week now... The corporate lady calls and tells me that Nissan would pay for half of the repairs. Well that was not the whole repair but I felt grateful that I didnt have to come up with 4k. And plus I had already negotiated their repair shop down $900. Every little bit helps. I could not find anyone else who had the same circumstances that I did. Well I thought I would write this review because of how Nissan took care of me and so maybe someone else would find some courage to call and see if they would help their case. Nissan transmissions have had a rough path here over the past 10 years although I did not know that when I bought one nor all the way up till I had problems with mine. Once I authorized the $2150 which was my part then it took them 3 days and I had my vehicle back. Also I had already made up my mind that no matter what decision they came up with I was going to be nice and say thank you. Even though it wasnt the full amount I said, Thank you maam I appreciate it so much. I think she was totally thrown back and said, You know what let me give you my direct numbers and you can call me any time with an issue on your nissan vehicle... well there you go its pretty much against my nature to be nice when Im upset but hey Gods in control anyway right??

Auto body shop cannot complete a repair due to the dashboard not available. They (Nissan) have given me dates several times and still no part for over 6 weeks... I call them and it’s the usual smoke and mirrors...they just run their mouths and get nothing done... Car is unusable without the dash... They have basically done nothing to help get this car back on the road.

My brand new car (Nissan Sunny XL petrol), right after the second free service, the car started having problem like heating up of the engine and frequent shutdowns. When checked with the service center, it assured me nothing was wrong with the vehicle and in a perfect condition. I, with my little daughter, drove the car to our relatives next day. On the way, it broke down again while passing a dangerous valley. It stopped more than 20 times during the travel of 200km. When I contacted the service station in charge, he said that he cannot do anything. When asked what should be done next, his answer was, HE DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING.I then called Nissan Call Center. With much effort and persuasion, they connected me to the local technician who, after inspection, declared that the problem occurred because of the FAULTY FUEL PUMP and DUPLICATE COOLANT, which the service center used. More than 15 days has passed and in spite of sending a number of mails, no action has been taken until date.

Nissan is one big scam. Do not lease or buy a car from them. A windshield cracked on a New car. They put the part on back order without a date. The car is not able to be used and they are still requiring for the leasee to pay for the lease when they are not providing any part, For over a month already! In addition I believe there are laws in certain states requiring a manufacturer to have parts available for up to 5 years on certain items. Good to have Warranty Compliance Advisors as our assistance here. We reached out to Nissan and got a pathetic response still nothing doing.

I bought a new 2014 Nissan Versa SV. The automatic transmission would not shift properly during accelerations. The accelerator pedal had to be goosed to force the transmission to shift to safe RPMS. I took the car back to the dealer and they informed me that Nissan does not repair transmissions. They will only replace with new transmissions. Nissan Corp. shipped to the dealer a rebuilt transmission. That transmission continued with the same identical problems as the original. I took the car back and the dealer and was told the transmission was low on fluid. The same problem continued. Approximately 8 months later that transmission stopped working on a major freeway during rush hour. The dealer replaced that transmission. The dealer and the Nissan Corporation informed me that the transmissions were not new but rebuilt ones. The car now has 50k miles on it and I continues to have the same shifting problems with the transmission. The Nissan consumer affairs division and the dealer began to show an attitude of frustration when dealing with me on this issue. They began to avoid me. I am too frustrated to chase these people down to get what I paid for. I feel I have been scammed out of18k I paid for piece of junk. I will never buy another Nissan product.

I purchased a Nissan Xterra from Team Nissan of Marietta, Ga on 11/10/2011. The sales officer gave me prices of the available models. He misled me in prices several times on phone that resulted in early sales of my Xterra in possession and prompted me to buy on emergency basis. Apart from this, he gave me misleading information and avoid disclosure responsibility as he mentioned that only shortcoming in the vehicle. I was buying Nissan Xterra S model against X model, that one has alloy wheel, automatic outside mirrors and hard wood in trunk. And the one I was buying had missing these 3 features. Plus I would save $2000.I purchased the vehicle and I found out the next day while I was driving to the church with my wife that it did not have the main necessity like inside lights on drivers side, and the mirror on the passengers side. We are senior citizens, I dropped my hearing aid one time and denture on another time, and tried to turn on the light to find and there was no light. I had to pull on side to find them. I complained the next day and they did not entertain me and said the sale has already been reported to Nissans main office.I complained but Nissan North America did not respond. I also participated several times in surveys and as of this date they have not responded yet. I am experiencing hardship which will continue till I own this vehicle. Now finally I am trying to complain to watch dog agencies, BBB and good governance and fair trade, and still if Nissan would not address this, I would report through media.

Aug of 2012, I returned a used Nissan Altima that was running terribly to Planet Nissan located in Las Vegas, NV, after having purchased it under 1 year prior. The sales ** thought it would be best to do a trade, the Altima for the Maxima. During the transaction Planet Nissans employee (**) added the best warranty that Nissan sales to my contract. He was slick, he had me sign my original contract that had a smaller warranty but claimed there were errors and printed a second contract with the added hidden PLUS Warranty.Unknowing I signed the contract, but when I noticed, I made several complaints to Planet Nissan, Nissan Financial and Consumer Affairs. I was at a local 24 Hour Fitness jacuzzi venting to a stranger about the treatment I had been receiving. Turns out he was Planet Nissans General Manager. Who also refused to touch this matter. I had no luck resolving this matter therefore I decided to shut up about it. After all it is the best warranty a person could have right? No! Recently, my engine crashed in this 2012 Nissan Maxima at 56k miles. I immediately took the vehicle back to Planet Nissan and within a week I was told that the my Manufacturer Warranty and the Extended Plus Warranty would NOT cover the damaged engine. Why? They claimed there was sludge in the engine which Voids the Warranty Agreement immediately. I was asked by the Service Manager ** and the Sales Manager ** to provide proof of oil changed for 2014. I successfully retrieved the documentation from my credit card company to prove that I have kept up with the maintenance on the vehicle. Response: DENIED. This is the easiest Scam you can pull on a working woman like myself as my only fault here was purchasing a Nissan to begin with.I contacted consumer affairs, a representative called me to discuss this matter however, his entire conversation was No, No, No, we cannot help you. Leaving me without any options and refusing to accept my proof of maintenance on the vehicle. So, I asked him to please investigate this case and consider allowing me the opportunity to have a second opinion as I felt that Planet Nissan was jumping the gun here. Apparently they logged it in Nissans system prohibiting me from EVER having the engine fixed under either the manufacturer warranty or the extended plus warranty. The consumer affairs agent made it real clear to me that no matter where I go in America. The engine will Not Ever be covered, therefore there was nothing Nissan could do nor did he care to take a look at any evidence I had to support the previous maintenance on the vehicle. He made it real clear that he was supportive of Planet Nissans decision without any proof therefore, I was on my own. I took the vehicle to United Nissan in Las Vegas for a second opinion as the Check Engine light is generating these codes: CYL 4 Misfire, CYL 6 Misfire, TW Catalyst System B1, and TW Catalyst System B2. Within 24 hours I received a call back from the service agent ** who explained that the claim was DENIED. He explained that although the technician saw no sludge in the engine that Planet Nissan had reported such and therefore the claim was DENIED. I explained that I needed a second opinion as my car received maintenance regularly and I had proof. He explained that he could not help me and asked me to return the rental car as soon as possible.A day after returning the rental car I realized that I had left my duffel bag full of personal belongings in the trunk and a handicap placard in the rental car provided to me while the Maxima was in Service. Immediately I contacted United Nissan and was told to come and pick up my belongings that they had retrieved it from the rental vehicle. Today March 19, 2015 I went to United Nissan to retrieve my belongings, it was explained to me by ** that it will cost me a total of 12K to replace the engine in the Maxima, My handicapped placard was stolen and my duffel bag of belongings was ramshacked. Im so disappointed in my treatment at Nissan, overall Im disgusted. I dont even expect a resolution from here. Im stuck with a 2012 Nissan Maxima with a bad engine and a $700 car payment. This is pitiful.

This is a reliable vehicle. It is small and has a sporty feel but still feels safe. It handles well & acceleration. The trunk area is quite small but I can fit a surprising amount of stuff in the car with the seats down. One of the most important features I was looking for this time around was a vehicle with AWD. I found my previous car slip-sliding around in the big rainstorms we had over the last few years and I wanted to solve that problem for a safer, less-stressful commute. The Nissan Juke has good gas mileage, comfortable seats and good power uphill (my commute home includes a long trek into the foothills). My major complaint is the small gas tank! I have to refuel multiple times a week for commute. Stil, I would recommend this car.

I am so shocked as suddenly at the end of my term of financing with Nissan financing when I called them as a payment of 375.00 had not been taken from my account at christmas. I have had the lease/financing with them for over four years now. Then they suddenly mentioned in passing that I had maybe 7 or 8 NSF FEES on a past due account!! I said that I had never heard of this before and if so why had someone not/never contacted me by phone, email or letter to inform me of this. I have had no knowledge of this. Why did they not contact me prior. This is not reflected in my bank statements or monthly online statements. If it is a bank error I still require some proof or a letter or statement from them they will not give it. I have always received my mail from them before!! Now all I get is calls and threats form them BUT as I have asked repeatedly for a statement of bill or something on paper regards this. They say they sent it. I have received nothing and how can I pay fees. I have never been informed of fees, not missed payments. I have no missed payment except for the one they did not take out at christmas. I have written them and sent an express mail to them requesting the letter and Proof. I mean they could make up anything they want. I am really feeling pressured to pay as they mentioned they can come after my vehicle but I am not sure how to proceed. Can you please please advise me on this matter.

My 2002 Nissan Frontier automatic transmission RWD VSS sensor failure cause
My 2002 Nissan Frontier automatic transmission RWD VSS sensor failure caused sudden acceleration and deceleration. I found out the hard way how deceitful lying BS run around crap NORTH AMERICA CHARITY THE BIG BOSS. SUCKS!!!! When my truck rolled off assembly line and off to the dealers the first sensor was changed as was the tranny. Then a second sensor and tranny the same year and third time’s a charm at last the final sensor and tranny for the 2002 Frontier XE. Amazing. I loved my truck. Have all documents. It has only 58000 miles on it and lucky me there are aftermarket parts or a part you can buy to replace my sensor. Why I wonder? Why would Nissan change the sensor and tranny three times on their 2 RWD automatic Nissan Frontiers? And why do they still have parts for second tranny and third but not mine??? The Nissan Xterra same tranny and sensor issue. Truck suddenly lost all speed on highway. Crawled. Not sure of speed. Speedometer wasnt working. Then coming off the nearest exit take off so fast. Had I not had two new rotary and brake pads installed I could have been killed as well as the persons unlucky enough to run into me. Once off the exit on back roads truck was running like ** but I made it to AutoZone which by the way is free unlike Nissan expensive BS. Put your car on their computer - Code came up. VSS. Vehicle speed sensor. After three unsuccessful attempts to attain my sensor I was finally told by Nissan they no longer made my sensor? Just mine. The other two for my truck with different tranny and sensors in stock? WTF AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE FOLKS? From July 30th 2015 to September 11th and Charity said truck was too old and that Nissan wasnt doing anything for me. I implored Charity that it was unfair that only my sensor was discontinued but same year truck were available??? She said she was sorry and I said “When this goes viral Internet TV etc. etc.” and my lawyer she had a chance to do the right thing and make it right 6500.00 and I was out of her hair and they could have my ticking time bomb. Anyone interested in contacting Charity instead of the months of BS and run around she can be reached at this number **. I also have a Facebook page set up using Nissan corporate pic with sucks across the name. Please like, share your problems there. We can knock these rotten sob on their **!!! I will never take it in the dealer or buy another Nissan cars. And the people there are so rude. First, Nissan Finance has no email address to send improvement suggestions to so they really dont care what type of service a customer gets on their website. Im an IT person and have designed customer service websites. The Nissan site is the WORST one I have ever dealt with. One would think changing your bank information would be simple. I am a MAC user and Safari is not supported. There a certain time frames related to payment due dates to contend with meaning you can change information when you want and the help desk cant explain the complicated process you need to go through. After 2 weeks of trying website and help desk I was finally able to accomplish this change.

I recently purchased a brand new 2015 Nissan Armada Platinum in mid-April.
I recently purchased a brand new 2015 Nissan Armada Platinum in mid-April. This is my 5th Nissan vehicle (2 Xterras and 3 Armadas). I have always joked when looking at other cars that I am a Nissan girl. The joke is over and I will NEVER, EVER purchase a Nissan vehicle again... EVER!!! We purchased the vehicle from our local dealership. They found the vehicle I wanted at nearby dealership (it was being driven/demod by the GM of that dealership), so they did a dealer trade. When I went in to sign papers and take possession of the vehicle (on a Wednesday), I noticed that the headphones, remote control, and owner manuals had not been put back in the vehicle by the GM. The next day, I noticed that the front end was out of alignment and called the service dept. to set up a time for them to fix it. I also noticed that the back of the 2nd row headrests were beat up (pieces of the hard plastic were dug out like something had been hauled in the back and dug into the headrests). The power lift gate would open, but when you pushed the button to close it - it would go down and just before it shut, it would pop back up like something was in the way. We noticed that when the lift gate was closed - on the left side, the space between the lift gate and the body was normal, but on the right side there was a big gap. It was a noticeable gap and big enough that my husband could easily put his fingers into the space. When we took the vehicle to the dealership we showed them the gap. The service manager made calls to Nissan, but was told the gap was within their specs of being ok, and since it wasnt leaking then basically we were told to deal with it. A few days later, we had a pretty lengthy thunderstorm. A day or so later, I opened the lift gate to my vehicle and inside the gap - I cleaned out a handful of wet leaves and debris. In less than ONE month of owning the vehicle, the issues we have discovered are: Lift gate gap, shotty body work on the roof where it meets the lift gate, beat up 2nd row headrests, GPS outdated - but Nissan will sell me the update for an additional $130, driver side seat belt will not release - has to be pushed repeatedly to unlatch, the front and rear air do not work independently from each other as they are suppose to, and the power window control panel on the driver door is sticking up out of the door, instead of being flush with the door (the passenger side is fine). I contacted (800)-Nissan1 and they opened a case. I told them that this particular vehicle was janky and had too many little issues for a $50,000 brand new, top of the line (according to them) vehicle. I told them I did not want my money back, I just wanted the same car without all the problems. I received a call today, from Justin with Nissan, to notify me that my vehicle was not eligible for a buy back. Basically - the lift gate gap was within their specs of acceptable. I was told the car was still under warranty, put it in the shop, and let them fix it. So... my brand new, top of the line vehicle has to go into the shop a month after purchasing it for multiple issues. This is what Nissan considers a quality product and great customer service!

In Feb 2013, I leased a brand new Nissan Pathfinder. I had an 2010 Altima prior but with my family size increasing, I decided to upgrade to something larger. The worst purchase of my life. On the SAME DAY I brought the vehicle home, it would not go into PARK. I had to return it to the dealer. After picking it up that evening on the drive home it started shaking violently to the point that my toddler was terrified in his car seat. I drove right back to the dealer who kept the car for 7 days and then called and said it was ALMOST repaired. But it is safe to drive and as soon as Nissan has the recall part ready I can bring it in and they would have it repaired. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs after numerous fights with the dealer who washed their hands of the issue because they already had my money. Well the only thing worse than a Nissan vehicle is the people that work at their corporate offices. They were of no help and said they were not going to buy back the vehicle as I would have to wait for it to be fixed. I picked up the truck and the VERY NEXT DAY, it completely stalled in a parking lot. It had to be towed into the dealer. 48 hours later I was told that it would be there for another 7 days or so because it needed a NEW TRANSMISSION!!! Please keep in mind all this in only 15 days and I havent even put 50 miles on the car! Well after numerous talks with Nissan and the dealer I got screw over because I am to this day stuck with a vehicle that still never works right. The parking sensor light comes on when its 37 degrees, the heated seats malfunction, the car is always jittery and the tires were terrible! Had to be replaced after 20K miles! To add insult to the injury the Nissan dealer did not submit my payment that was made to them to their finance company in a timely manner and they reported that late payment on my credit report! Even though I have recurring payments set up with them. And it gets worse. I just relocated to PA from NY and they increased my payment by 60 dollars stating that the taxes are different! All with no explanation! Their customer reps are downright rude and nasty! This is the WORST COMPANY ever! I tell everyone I know how horrific they are and how horrible their vehicles are! I have met many people who have had the same issues with this type of car and who feel so ripped off and violated by this company.

Never ever will I buy another Nissan. Let me share my experience with you.
Never ever will I buy another Nissan. Let me share my experience with you. I was happy to lease my new Xterra last fall (8 months ago). However, they never sent me billing info or statements; yet, they began harassing phone calls immediately. I mean 8-10 calls per day and mostly from people that spoke very broken English. I would state that no payment book was ever sent nor any statement sent to my address. This was the case for the first three months. And yet, the harassing phone calls continued as well as late payment fees. I even drove to and spoke with the general manager at the Nissan dealership where I leased the vehicle. He stated that they had had many complaints about Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp from customers. My newest issue was this month when I moved into a new home and was also traveling for work (June 2012). Because so much was going on, I forgot to send out the payment the first of the month, and the harassing phone calls began immediately. Im not talking 3-4 weeks late. Im talking 7-10 days late and phone calls all day, every day, including weekends. I called Nissan to pay for this month and next and they told me that I have almost $500 in toll-booth violations I have to pay. This puts me over the edge. One, I use toll highways maybe once or twice a month. If that, two, I have EZ Pass and it comes right out of my account. After speaking to several reps who speak very limited English, I am put on hold for 20 minutes and am eventually disconnected. I called back and went through the entire experience again and finally got to speak with a supervisor. I tried to explain my situation after again giving all my info (which takes an eternity) and the supervisor begins talking over me from the very first moment, arguing and questioning everything I am saying. She will not listen to anything I say and tried to argue with me, basically calling me a liar. This continues until I can take no more and I snapped.Advice: regardless of how much you like the Nissan vehicle you are looking at purchasing, dont buy a Nissan. I have owned dozens of cars and have never ever had a negative experience like this from day one. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Most unprofessional people/organization I have ever had to deal with!

I bought my Nissan Juke in August 2012 and have had no problems with it until June. I set up a recurring payment with Nissan Finance so that I wouldnt fall behind. When we fell behind 2 months, I found that the account never saved, although it said it did. My mom even went in and set up an account, which again, never saved. So we called customer service and a lady there set it up for us, so we thought we were fine. WRONG. Our car got repossessed last night because we were behind on payments. How? I dont know. The only to get it back now is if we pay the off the car in full. The card that was supposedly supposed to be on that account is still active, so whatever happened, is beyond me. This wouldnt be the first time Ive gotten such bad service from Nissan.

I live in VA and was driving to Alabama on March 2, 2016. First distance drive with car (2016 Nissan 370Z with 5,000 miles) and the clutch went out in Atlanta on I-85. I was able to drive it to a safe spot but it scared the crap out of me. I-85 in traffic not a good place for the clutch to stick and only able to go in 2nd gear. I had to stay at a hotel in Atlanta. Got up early to take car to dealer and the car would not engage in any gear. Had to have it towed to dealer. The Nissan Dealer in Atlanta did provide a rental car so I was able to continue my journey to Alabama. Was informed that my car would be repaired on my return, Sunday March 4th. Received a call and was told the clutch part was not available in all of North America and would be expedited from Japan. I continued my trip back home to VA in the rental car. I have spoken to the local car dealer in Staunton VA where I purchase the car and they stated a new replacement car could not happen. As I no longer feel safe driving the manual transmission I asked if I could replace the car with a new or fairly new automatic 370Z. I purchased the car in November 2015 with only 25 miles. In reading and researching I have found that other 370Z owners are having the same problem with the clutch. This is a serious safety concern. One in which I could have gotten into an accident. It seems car manufacturers wait until serious accidents occur or death before recalls are issued. I hope and pray the car is completely repaired but hesitate to drive it once it arrives from Atlanta back to VA. Nissan is scheduled to have it delivered from Atlanta to the dealer in Staunton VA some time before the end of March 2016. Ive never purchased a brand new car in which the clutch gave out with less than 5,000 miles. I feel like Im stuck with a car that I no longer want to drive much less pay for. It has crossed my mind to allow a serious hit to my credit score and voluntary repossess the car so that I have peace of mind and feel safe.

The CVT Transmission is junk. Disintegrated at 76K miles. It is well documented the CVT transmission has a history of problems. Nissan only extended warranty of a very small subset of vehicles that have the CVT. I spoke to Nissan Corporate and they were unwilling to help. If you buy a Nissan, put away another $3k to $4k to rebuild the transmission.

Ive been a customer of Nissan since August 2018. Ive purchased my first brand new car on July of 2018 through Fairfax Browns Nissan. Since then, Ive had multiple incidents with my car having mechanical issues. First, I had issues with my radio/audio not working, more specifically, my car not connecting to my phone. This has been going on since 2018 and Ive reported it multiple times to the Nissan dealership but they failed to fix the issues. Initially, I was told that I needed to replace some parts with the USB but even after, it never got fixed. Second, my car stopped working (it would not turn on with the start/push engine starter). When I called Nissan, they instructed me to put the key close to the push/start starter and try to start the car. Initially, it did not work so I ended up getting my car towed from my employers parking garage which I ended up paying out of my own pocket. This initial problem happened late at night so I could not get in contact with Nissan. I called the Nissan during business hours, and was told it had something to do with the battery and they stated they would change the battery of the keys. After taking the time off work to go to Nissan to fix the problem, they finally changed the battery of my keys.Few days after, my car kept having the same issues. After talking to multiple mechanics and doing some research, I was told about some recalls on my car. The next day, I ended up calling Nissan again, and notified them about the recalls and the issues. I was told that they would look into it. During this whole time, I had to use a rental lended by Nissan. After about a week, Nissan told me that there was no issue and they asked me to pick up my car which I did. While I was at the shop, trying to start my car, my car stopped working again and would not start. I was furious at this point because I had to take off work AGAIN to get my car fixed. I drove the rental car again and went back home. I called Nissan the next day to check on the status of my car and asked what the issue was and why they didnt fix the issue. Nissan responded by saying we didnt fix the issue because the problem didnt occur while the car was in the shop. (After I told them about the recalls that needed to be fixed). After another week of not having my car, I finally got a call asking to pick up my vehicle from Nissan. I was told they fixed all the problems and my car should be working fine. On my way back home after picking up my car, it started having another issue. My car started making a loud beeping noise and had a big warning light on the screen. I immediately called Nissan again and told them about the issue and was told to turn around and bring the car back... Being frustrated and angry, I asked what was the issue and they said, the mechanic has to look at the issue and try to figure out what was wrong with it. After, I was told it had something to do with the sensor (I found this really weird because I never had this problem.). They ended up giving me another rental car and told me it would take about another week because they would have to order the parts and replace the problem. After reaching out to multiple Nissan customers, I was told that I could have possibly been sold a Lemon Car with multiple issues. With my warranty almost running out and not getting help from the service department and the sales department, I was told to contact the Nissans corporate office to file a complaint. Initially, I decided to change from Honda to Nissan because I really liked the looks of Nissan vehicles and was told by some people about their great experiences with customer service.Unfortunately, for me, I had a terrible and awful experience with Nissan customer service and felt like I was getting taken advantage of because the sales department kept calling me to come in for better deals (which never happened). They continuously kept convincing me to lease a brand new car with higher monthly payments to avoid future issues after Ive already made around $6000 of payments on my new car which already depreciated a lot in value. After talking to the corporate office, they basically told me according to the “Lemon Law”, they can’t do anything for me so now I’m stuck with a messed up brand new car. DONT EVER BUY A NISSAN! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

I traded in a car at Nissan in July 2011 and purchased a new one. In December 2011, I received two warrants for unpaid parking tickets on the car I traded in July. The tickets were issued in November of this year. Every time I call Melloy Nissan, they will tell me they will take care of it and call me back. No one has returned my calls after numerous messages. The old car is still registered to me and in my name. The license plate was never changed.I have to go to Metro Court, set up a court date with a judge, go back on my court date, show that I dont own the car and hopefully get the tickets dismissed. Until I find the time to go to the courthouse, I could possibly be arrested for unpaid parking warrants. Also, what if someone commits a crime in that car that is still registered to me? I am very concerned.

I am trying to obtain the necessary form to transfer my lease. My original request was placed on July 19. I was told the form would be faxed and/or mailed to me. Several phone calls inquiring about the whereabouts of the document have produced only excuses and no results. My last three vehicles have been Nissan products but I can assure you, based on this experience, it will be my last. May I have the courtesy of a solution to this problem.

We WERE a Nissan family. 2012 Rouge on second transmission. First faulty transmission caught fire after Service Manager assured us the car was fine to drive. This left my 18 year old daughter on the side of a highway with a flaming car. 2015 Rouge CVT needed to be replaced. Sounded like the wheels were going to fall off. 2012 Versa transmission replaced the same week as the 2012 Rouge. Researched the Versa and it had air bags that were recalled and I was never notified. Called Corporate Nissan and spoke with two separate representatives that could have cared less that for safety or reliability. My daughters were both dismissed by service managers that told them their cars were fine. I am a single mom who has purchased 8 Nissans over the past 25 years. After speaking with Corporate Nissan three cars are going to be traded very quickly!!! BUY ELSEWHERE.

My Nissan runs good and its been good to me because its easy to drive and wastes less gas. But the headlights look weird and I think different lights might make it look better. I also think thats a small car but with so much space use. It still great and I love it so much!!!

The 2008 Nissan Rogue is only 2 years old and the battery went bad leaving me stranded. I was told that the battery is only warrantied for 1 year. Really only 1 year? I had to pay $132.00 at a Sears store to have a new battery installed, but this battery is warrantied for 6 years. I bought a brand new car so I wouldnt have these problems. If Nissan is going to use such below average parts, I should have bought a different car brand, especially since the warranty is so limited. I should have stayed with a Chevy!
