I bought a Nissan as my first vehicle because my mother always had a Nissan. Her mother and father always had a Nissan. When it came time for me to buy a vehicle, I wanted to go with someone I could trust, who always provided quality cars and service. Is that a thing of the past? My 2011 Nissan Cube with a CVT transmission is a piece of junk! After just 5 years and 72000 miles the CVT needs to be replaced. The dealership is asking $5000 for the repair. More than Ive been able to save since buying my first car.Since this happened Ive found out about their 2015 lawsuit, and the warranty extension for 2010 cubes. The CVT is still a safety hazard, but after talking to them I found out that denying theres a problem, and me help, is more important than maintaining a generational chain of Nissan customers and loyalty. An auto manufacturer I can trust with my life is worth generational loyalty. When they know their CVTs have a problem, I know they have a problem, the entire internet knows they have a problem, then the only thing I want to do is pay my car off and find a new manufacturer I can trust, and be loyal to... Because its obviously not Nissan.

NMAC is tacking on a $15.00 late fee even though we have never been late with a payment. On four occasions they have charged the fee because we made the payment on a Friday and they do not post until Monday. Our contract clearly states that we have up to 10 days past the due date to make the payment and we have always paid online within the 10 day grace period. Their explanation is that they contract the online service and the contractor does not always post the payment immediately. This is Nissans problem since I never entered into an agreement with the third party.

I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Nissan rouge 8 months ago. Very recently after driving for an hour when I get to a sign stop or an intersection, the car does not accelerate no matter how hard I hit the gas pedal. Cars behind me start honking, cussing, and I know that one of these days Im getting into an accident. Im waiting for the Consumer Affairs specialist to call me. I already took the car to an authorized Nissan service center and the mechanic confirmed its the CVT transmission. The car has 79k miles, no warranty and the extended warranty that Nissan offers does not include my VIN. I hope to get positive news from the specialist and Nissan will be paying for the repair cost or else I will have to file a lawsuit. Ive read so many complaints about this car and for Nissan to not take action, it is a shame, perhaps an accident, a lawsuit will make Nissan to take proper action to protect its customers.

I purchased a 2015 Nissan Rogue in January. This summer when I traveled a period of time (about 45 mins.) the a/c would stop cooling. After having it checked by my dealer/service I was told thats normal since it is how the car gets better mpg. The only way I can keep cool on long drives is to turn off the a/c when it stops cooling, wait a period of time and let the a/c reset then turn the a/c back on. This in my opinion is a very poor design and should be redesigned.

I own a 2008 Nissan Rogue. I bought it brand new and drove it off the dealership lot with 8 miles on it. It has every feature that was offered at the time of purchase. I bring it into a dealership for each and every service that has ever been needed (including something as simple as new brakes). I wanted to make sure it was always done right. It was the 3rd brand new Nissan in my household. I thought Nissans were known for their high quality and dependability, but thats not really the case. I did some research and found out that there is a known issue with the CVT transmission in this year and model. So common in fact Nissan, rather than recall all vehicles with this known issue, Nissan decided to extend (double) the warranty (10 years or 120k miles). This vehicle has less than 100k miles on it and its 10+ years old. Two weeks ago the transmission failed. At 99k I am well within the 120k miles BUT, I took delivery in late 07 for this new 08 so I am being told by Nissan North America that I am outside the warranty by 5 months. Because of being a loyal customer excited for the new model year, I am now being penalized and told they cannot cover 100% of the cost of the new transmission. Really? Really! So be warned of getting excited about buying the new model year BEFORE the actual year. It might come back to haunt you later on. Had they actually recalled it, it would have shown up on my report each time I brought the car in for service and I wouldnt be dealing with this issue and having to pay anything for a new transmission. Disappointing to say the least for such a known/common issue.

Purchase two brand new Nissans back in 2013, a Nissan Pulsar and Nissan Qashqai, both with CVTs. Our Nissan Pulsar blew its transmission at 30,000 KLMS. Our Nissan Qashqai has blown 2 transmissions and now on its third, car has only done 75,000 KLMS! These transmissions are absolutely and utterly unreliable and I will (a) never purchase a Nissan vehicle and (b) never a vehicle with a CVT Transmission. On top of this here in Australia we dont get the 10 year warranty or any other transmission warranty on top of our standard vehicle warranty. At least you guys in the US get an additional warranty but from the reviews online its only a security blanket, it doesnt solve the problems at hand with these transmissions. Dont buy a Nissan vehicle! Their techs are utterly useless and they do not stand behind their product!

Purchased Nissan Altima..brand new from Davidson Nissan In Watertown NY. My car overheated to the point the indicator was pegged out completely! And fluid spewed out from under the hood multiple times!! First trip to very unfriendly service department..was told could not repeat. Picked up my car and the radiator fluid was still all over the front end of my car!! Next day picked my son up at school. Car overheated to the point I was asked to move it farther away from the building for fear children could be burned from the spewing liquid. Parked in the far end of parking lot. My car was flat bedded again to Davidson Nissan in Watertown N.Y. Was told again could not repeat. Went to pick up my car, they couldnt find it. Called service manager and he told them he parked it in the back field. They brought it to me covered in dirt and yep covered in more anti freeze. This continued for weeks. I told the manager of the Davidson Nissan Watertown NY I did not want the car anymore. I asked him to buy it back. He said all he could do to make it right was an extended warranty, Nissan car mats, 2 free oil changes (I did not use) and a Nissan hat. 2 years later my car suddenly jerks going down the highway. I get off exit and car hesitated. I drove less than a mile to pizza shop. Went to leave and my car would not go forward or reverse.. Called warranty company and had my car flat bedded to Burdick Nissan in Cicero NY (Drivers Village). I was told this morning that transmission had to be completely replaced!!! What it is a 2017 are you kidding me. Yep but at least its covered by warranty. What about next time? Replacing with the same kinda transmission.... Hello..I thought Nissan was a good dependable car. I dont want this car and owe too much to trade it!! Thanks Nissan.

Nissan is one of the most crooked companies in the world. Many people do not know that they have been committing criminal business practices for ten years now by fooling consumers with their fancy CVT transmissions that have prematurely failed on tens of thousands of Versas, Sentras, Rogues and other models and it is a disgrace that they have been allowed to get away with this kind of egregious behavior for so long. A class action lawsuit was filed against Nissan, but many car owners never received the details of the lawsuit until it was almost in settlement which settled in March 2020. Sadly this court in Tennessee and all the crooked lawyers attached to this class action lawsuit really received all the benefits of the settlement but tens of thousands of Nissan owners were left out in the cold because they sneakingly increased the warranty to a random 84,000 miles when many many transmissions have failed after that mileage but still very prematurely. I am one of those victims and had I known about the crookedness of this disgusting company I would have never purchased my 2015 Sentra from Hertz. My transmission started showing failure issues at approximately 70,000 miles, but it finally totally failed at 99,000 miles. I only found out about the class action lawsuit because of the research I was doing online and taking the car to a repair service to find out it had failed. I petitioned the court and objected to the settlement, but because there were only a few of us who objected, the judge denied the objection. I am not done with this, but because of the pandemic, I am not able to reach the news media investigative teams to report this crookery. It is an unconscionable act that Nissan has duped 100s of thousands of customers the last ten years. I intend on writing to the newspapers to further expose these crooks. They do not deserve being in business, and if people knew how the company was run and their ex CEO is an international fugitive, people maybe would stop buying their cars. Adding insult to injury I just received a disgusting piece of mail that Nissan has been forced to send to Nissan owners extending this disgusting warranty only because they were mandated to do so. What about the other 100s of thousands of customers who already got screwed? And furthermore, they have made it so repair services cant rebuild them, they have to purchase an already rebuilt transmission probably from a company that is connected to them. The cost is prohibitive for most of us, a whopping $4,000. My poor car has been sitting outside unable to be driven for seven months now and furthermore these cars will have no resale value due to the criminal business practices of Nissan. Couldnt get any worse than this!
Bought the used 2012 Nissan Sentra S in July and after starting to drive it
Bought the used 2012 Nissan Sentra S in July and after starting to drive it, kept hearing a popping and clunking noise coming from the passenger side rear area. Pops and snaps when turning the wheel right and braking and straightening the steering. I have spoken with other owners of the Nissan Sentra and they have the same issues. Some customers have spent lots of money trying to resolve the issue but I think Nissan needs to step up and take the responsibility for a faulty design. Other Nissans owners are having the same issues. Scary to drive and seems difficult to diagnose, but may be coming from the steering or wheel area. Please help us to keep the reviews positive for Nissan here in Smyrna but at this point it is not a pleasant experience.

I am a 2008 Nissan Titan owner, who is seeking other Nissan owners in the WNC area, whom all of a sudden, after a rain, have their paint delaminating causing a white plaque spreading all over. I took my Titan to 3 different body shops I trust, and they each stated the clear coat was delaminating. It was clearly a manufacturer defect. I contacted not one, but two, local Nissan dealerships and have had their GM, service manager, and Nissan specialists (you name it) look at it and take pictures. I have bent over backwards doing everything that Nissan Corporation has asked while I lose multiple hours at work, including having it looked at by their preferred body shop who even said it is a manufacture defect. Now, after putting over 400 miles on a vehicle I baby and do not drive but for pleasure, they are trying to tell me that since it is out of warranty (though the miles are very low, as again I do not drive it on a normal basis) they dont have to do anything towards my Titan. There are numerous claims by others of the exact same issue happening with them (including a lady at the same dealership the same day as I, complaining about the same thing with her Nissan). Although Nissan Corporation states that they have never heard of this problem before (a simple search shows customers back to 2004 with the same problems), I truly believe a class action lawsuit should be started. Please post your experience and if you live near my area.
I bought my Titan new and had the usual rotor problem and the rear axle end
I bought my Titan new and had the usual rotor problem and the rear axle end seals blowing out. Nissan fixes the rotor issue without problems. The axle end seal happened at 76,000 miles, just 1,000 miles out of warranty but after many complaints to corporate, they agreed to pay half. This fix lasted about 4,000 miles, Instead of repeating the repair, I chose to use a thicker viscosity rear end lube from Lucas. I also had to replace the radiator but that is common on all vehicles now that radiators are plastic. If you’re wondering why I give this truck 4 stars, I almost gave it 5 stars, this truck had 355,000 miles on it when I traded it in 2013. Those issues listed above are the only problems I had with this truck and it still ran like a new truck when I traded. The engine and transmission were beasts. I attribute the performance of this Titan to changing my oil every 20 to 25,000 miles with Amsoil and Ea filters. I would have bought another Titan at trade but needed better mpg. Traded for a Ram 1500 4wd and it now has 270,000 using Amsoil.

I want to know if anyone else is having a problem with their Rogue not accelerating in the expressway. I was driving back from Alabama to Atlanta yesterday evening and took my foot off the gas pedal briefly and as I tried to give my car gas, the car wouldnt go pass 40 miles per hour per speedometer. I almost had an accident with my child in my car trying to pull over from the left lane to get to the emergency lane. After waiting two hours for the road side assistance to locate me, my car was towed to the nearest dealership. I finally was able to get it back to Atlanta that same night. No check engine light came on at all. The car seems to be running fine. Took it to the dealership to be check and was informed that I need a new transmission.

Got 2013 versa and brakes have been changed three times already. The fan went out and car ran hot. The ac leaks water on my right food which is going to mold and mildew my carpet. The ac at times took about ten min to blow cold air and the weatherstrip around my windshield has came out three times. Ive only had the car about six months. Also I notice it sputters sometimes when in accelerate. They, well, most of them were rude. Said they would put me in a new car for extra $100 a month which I cant afford and they said it would be another versa!!! I am fed up.
I leased a brand new 2017.5 Nissan Rogue SV AWD Premium Package in July 201
I leased a brand new 2017.5 Nissan Rogue SV AWD Premium Package in July 2017. My vehicle traded was a 2015 Rogue (same model) I had hit my mileage on a year early. Not only was I pleased with my 15, but I spent 2 years as a Nissan employee, and I retain the Nissan Visa card. I would say Im a pretty good customer and supporter. In 6 months and 7k (now 8k) miles, my Rogue has had the radio/navigation system fully replaced! My Rogue has also been TOWED into the dealerships service department! I work nights. It was Christmas Eve. The car never made it to work. Of course, 3 days later after the holiday, the Rogue worked fine and the mechanics could not duplicate the issue. A diagnostic test showed a possible air flow problem... which I read about in another review... but they really have no idea. I am a single mom, on a check-check basis, and one reason I lease is to avoid maintenance! I cry all the time in my car. I am frustrated. Every time I start the Rogue I wonder what will happen next. I have lost confidence in this vehicle. I filed a claim with Consumer Affairs. I have received 2 emails from the gal stating she has tried to reach me multiple times by phone but I have no missed calls, voicemails, nothing, and the number(s) is saved in my phone. I have responded to these emails but then have not heard back from her. In the last week, I have called her DIRECT line 5x leaving my contact phone number 2x every message. I have gotten voicemail each time. Since December 26, 2017 I have called Nissan Consumer Affairs 8x. I should not have to be dealing with this regarding a vehicle purchased brand new not 7 months ago. Certain staff members at the dealership have been as helpful as they possibly can be but they have limitations which I understand. At least theyre on my side. Nissan seems to think this entire issue is a game. Its not. I live in Columbus, Ohio. We do not have major public transport opportunities. I cannot afford a chauffeur, I cannot afford taxi cabs or Uber. Nissan needs to step up.

Had a life threatening experience with my 3 month old Nissan Leaf. It would stall while driving. Took it to the service center multiple times but they were not able to diagnose it. Horrible customer service. I will never recommend this car to anyone in my life.

I have owned my Car for 4 years and looking through the internet, I am not the only person who has a defective Steering Wheel Lock Module! This is a problem that has been experience by many Nissan Car owners! The repair is a replacement and is very expensive.

Nissan consumer affairs, its a joke. I contacted them 6 months after buying a brand new Nissan Rogue. That 1st week my car started having problems. I took it to Nissans service multiple times. They did not record anything in their system and told me the car was fine. My passenger air bag light stays on at all times and a noise on the drivers strut (wheel) every time you take a right turn. So a manager drove the car, said everything was okay. So again they sent me home worried. A week later again I take the car to service, they said the car was fine. Then in September 2013 I took it again to Nissan service. They again said nothing is wrong. I asked for a manager, he again said nothing wrong with the car. So I let it go until I saw other cars (Rogue 2013s) and not one had the issue that I have. So in December I took it again to service. They again said nothing wrong, this time I spoke with a female manager name ** in Cherry Hill, NJ. Then she decided to go in the back to check the car with me and saw what was going on. She agreed that the car was not right, she kept the car in service and gave me a rental. The car stayed in service for over a month because they could not detect any issues, then they get A professional mechanic and he replaced both front struts and the sensor of the air bag. It was okay for 3 hrs then the same thing happened again. I called them and told them the same issue is happening again. They kept the car again and they still couldnt find the problem. So they gave up, I guess, and told me again nothing wrong. I contacted consumer affairs and they pretty much did nothing. They told me if I didnt want to drive the car to the service and get it towed, I was going to be responsible for the fees. I fear driving my new car. How great is that??? So I contacted lemon law. They told lemon law that they wanted to offer me $2000 for the inconvenience. HELL NO I dont want money I was to feel same in my car. Thats why I bought a new car so I didnt have to drive back and forth to the car service.

I came in to speak with someone about the paint peeling off my car. My car is a 2003 Nissan Sentra. I was told my complaint was denied due to it being 7 years old. Roof and trunk are peeling off. Car is well maintained, waxed 2 times a year. I feel that Nissan should at least fix this problem. This is my first new car, and I am disgusted with the way it know looks. I have been told by several body shops that this is a manufacture defect. Please think about this, Im ready to call turn to ten, Susan **. I dont come down to this, but I will. Thank You.

I purchased a new 2013 Nissan Rogue in Nov 2013, that the $4000 transmission has to be replaced at less than 100,000 miles only to discover that my extended warranty void. I have almost been killed in this junk of a car several times due to this issue, why do they recall every year but 2013.

I purchased my Nissan Rogue SL a few weeks ago and my NissanConnect has NEVER worked. I have contacted the connect services numerous times concerning this. Always being told... we are working on it, sorry... Today I contacted Nissan customer service directly and was told that they cannot help me. I must speak to Nissanconnect services. I explained that I did not want to speak to them again after numerous tries. I was still transferred. I waited on hold so long I finally hung up. Terrible service!!

My car has been in the shop since December 13, 2016 and cannot be repaired because the wiring harness is not available. Nowhere in the USA and they do not want to bring it from JAPAN. Nobody answers you, the customer service and parts dont do anything to solve this problem, they do not give you an update, meanwhile I am paying for a lease car that I am not able to use, and they do not want to give me a loaner until they finally bring the part, and they do not want to pay for a rental. Nobody knows when the part will be available.

Faulty issues with new Kicks. I have been purchasing Nissan since 1985. This was to be my very first lease ever. I wanted 2018 model. Universal City was the closest and had several cars. I got my Kicks SR. The model I test drove had 80 mls on it and was filthy. I asked the rep if this was a floor model. He avoided the question and said it will be cleaned up. Enamored I went ahead with the purchase. The salesman let me inspect the car in the garage. It seemed to have been cleaned, but when I came home I noticed not only it was dirty but had scuff marks on it, the back light was scratched and missing a flashlight in the tool kit.I cleaned the car myself in my garage. Since it was a lease I became leery and wrote a letter to the manager Steve ** and was completely ignored, zero reply. 3 days later I got a warning flashing on the car UNAVAILABLE FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTION. Same happened again next day. So I took it to dealer. While the car was being inspected, I went to see Steve the manager, who did not appear, was busy. Sia, an assistant manager came to see me. I told him of my dirty car, he said he will detail it and look into missing tool. The next day my car was returned. The explanation on warning was the front sensor was dirty. Scuffs and scratches were gone.. No answer on missing tool. Again, the only reason I am wary because this is a lease, has to be returned and I dont want to be responsible for missing tool. Still I was happy, satisfied. However the warning sign came back. I work, so had to bring the car a couple of days later. This time they kept the car for 5 days to replace the sensor. I asked to be compensated, like a tank of gas, they declined. The service manager finally told me that the car doesnt come with a flashlight. The spot is made for other models that do? Although it doesnt make sense, this is the highest model of Kicks, I am leaving that alone. Once more I said perhaps this is the end. To no avail. Now my dashboard is buzzing, as if I am driving a clunker. Cannot hear music. So today, back to service. I am completely disappointed and have zero confidence in Nissan. I will have no choice but to consult an attorney if anything else happens. Unfortunately only now I begun reading reviews on Nissans and see that there are many complaints on sensors, transmissions and audio systems. Yet I love my car. I am heartbroken.
Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one
Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one star as there is no Zero that I can provide as a rating. Purchased three Nissan Vehicles from our local dealership. 1st was a 2012 Frontier (SL). Fully certified with less than 6,000 miles in 2015. The following issue came to light AFTER I purchased the truck. Both front and rear bumpers had to be replaced due to damage from the sale person who we found out drove the truck to pull his boat. He off set the bumpers and caused the braces to be pulled down causing the bumpers to pull away from the frame. The brakes were replaced twice at a cost of $680 each time. The initial brake repair was not proper repaired as the dealership used third party parts. Actually told me that and then claim they were Nissan parts - but had faults. Cost me two brake jobs and complete bumper replacements and the story is just starting. When I felt unsafe in the vehicle I was going to sell it back to Nissan. That is when the adjuster informed me that the right side fender has been damaged and repaired. Also the front glass had been replace incorrectly. None of this was on the CARFAX, nor reported to me at the time of sale. Now my wife has a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle has portions of the front bumper pulling away from the body. The dealership informed me that my wife must have hit a parking block and dragged the frame over the block which has caused damage to the underside of the car. My wife may drive her car less than 3000 a year and SHE did it. No I think when they were preparing the car was sell they hit the lifting rack and caused the damage. The foot lift door doesnt work. No problem the dealership will tell you as they really never work correctly. NICE!I have a 2015 Frontier from the same dealership. I just purchased the vehicle less than one month ago as I need to have a truck. Stupid me - thinking that everything would go well. Fooled me again! Yesterday the truck would not start leaving me well out of my local area. When we tried to replace the battery I found that wires and the battery were so corroded that it needed to replace the wiring and the battery. That was a great cost of funds. What does the 100 point inspect include? So I have been a fool for the third times. This is my fault. But I want everyone to know that you need to find a solid dealership that respect you and values your business.
I traded in a Nissan Rogue and purchased a 2013 Nissan Sentra on February 1
I traded in a Nissan Rogue and purchased a 2013 Nissan Sentra on February 15, 2013. Since a week after I purchased the car, the brakes have been making an unpleasant sound as soon as you push the brakes. It feels like air in the brakes. I have been at the Nissan dealership 3 times already, contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs, opened a claim, and an engineer finally went to the dealership to test the car. Final response, it is a characteristic of the car and it’s normal. It is not normal that the brakes are making a strange sound that to me is a great safety issue as I drive a lot and I also have a baby. It is unbelievable the service I have received from Nissan and even worse that they just clean their hands after selling you a car. They dont know how to fix the car and they wont take my car in because to them it is a normal issue. I have not had a response from Consumer Affairs and I cannot believe that a 2-month-old car is giving me so many problems. I need help in regards to this situation. As a customer and user, I should not be forced to retain a car that is not functioning properly, and it has safety concerns for me and my family. The dealership has been unresponsive and they even said that because it was a characteristic of the car, the lemon law does not apply. The law should not allow dealerships just to sell cars and then dont take care of their customers. It is not normal for a two-month-old car to be having issues with brakes and a person does not buy new car to be having issues with brakes just two months after and the dealership, just because they dont know what it is, cleans their hands.

ATTENTION NISSAN ROGUE OWNERS PLEASE READ: I am extremely disappointed in the results of my visit. My 2008 Nissan Rogue of South Brunswick Acme Nissan went in because of a problem the Rogues had with their passenger airbag lights and problem with the sensor in the seat. Ive never had an accident nor problem with the seat. Now Nissan tells me, Sorry, the seat needs to be replaced to the tune of OVER $1400.00. They claim it was covered for 5 years or 50,000 miles. Oh yes and by the way, it was a recalled item at one time! Well gentlemen, I will not have this seat replaced and I will rely on the primary safety seat belt. I have 4 cars in my family, 2 of which are Nissans, and just for your info, I will NEVER and I mean NEVER buy another Nissan as long as I live or take it for service to Nissan. One last thing if I may. Why was I charged over $50.00 just to find out whose problem it was? Oh wait if it was Nissans problem you would absorb the cost but because it was not your problem you passed it on to me. Thank you for making my choice of vehicles in the future easier the next time because it WONT be a Nissan. A letter will follow up to Corporate of Nissan, BBB of NJ, and the Home News Tribune and their sister paper, the Asbury Park Press, Star Ledger, YouTube and anyone else I can inform via electronic media.

After contracting for a 2016 Nissan NV200 in April, my husband was taken critically ill within two weeks prior to the vehicle being delivered. Although I know Bob Bell had no legal obligation to assist me, I contacted the GM and requested the deal be voided, as I no longer had the financial position to pay for the vehicle. I also contacted Nissan Motor Corporation. I received no consideration or assistance from either the dealer or Nissan Corporation. Although I was a repeat customer, and a member of the Baltimore, MD community - I was told the deal could not be reversed, even though I had not taken delivery of the van. I offered to have Bob Bell keep my trade in - which was for sale through their used car inventory with no refund to me - as my contribution to the situation, in addition to providing another $2,000.00 to avoid any dealer loss. Nothing. I can only assume I had so overpaid for the van that even before delivery, my trade in profit and an additional $2,000 was still too little for Bob Bell to make on a non-sale. Both Nissan Corporation and Bob Bell Nissan in Baltimore should rethink their commitment to the buying community that has made them successful.

Id rather let my credit go to the toilet and file bankruptcy than to EVER dip business with Nissan again. They let dealerships lie and just say whatever simply to get you into a car, then they offer no resolution about fixing the lie. When you call customer service they treat you like a scolded kid, and offer no respect or empathy whatsoever. Its ridiculous and absurd that we are treated such a way when you spend so money on something that is so vital. The air circulation is a joke. It only reaches the front seats and the people in the back get no air flow whatsoever. This was an issue in the first vehicle, and I was promised the new vehicle was so much better and redesigned, but honestly this car is bigger so its worse. They did not have a manual transmission which I wanted but they tried to convince me that the automatic is again redesigned and so much more efficient and yet not only have I lost about 6mpg, the car is constantly revving over 4rpm even when Im barely on the gas. They will say anything just to get you in the car and all they care about is the initial sale. After that they could care less about you or your business.

So, I had a broken coil spring on my 2009 Versa. I contacted my dealer and told him that my car only had 75k miles, and I thought it was crazy that a coil spring should break with so few miles. I am close to 70 years old, and I drive responsibly, avoiding pot holes etc. I was told by the dealer that this was not covered and it would cost me $450.00 to replace the springs. Being on a fixed income, I thought that was outrageous. I then called Nissan and filed a report, and a factory rep did check into it and again I was denied compensation of any kind. After much searching I finally found the coil springs on sale for $57.42 each, from another Nissan dealer. I also purchased the rubber seats for the top and bottom of each spring for $21.20. So, with parts, sales tax, and shipping my total cost was $147.32. I asked one of my family members if he could install the on my car and he said it would be easy, being that only one bolt needed to be removed before installing the rubber seats and springs. I left the car with him and within one hour he called me and said it was done. WHAT, that quick? He said that it was an easy job, and it only took him about 15 minutes to install both springs. I tried to pay him $50 and he said he didnt want to take advantage of me and handed $30 back to me. So I saved $282.68 that I would have had to pay to Nissan for the same work! I also should mention that my step son said he would like to do about 20 of these coil spring jobs a week. They were that easy! I understand that companies need to make a profit, but come on, this is over the top! This experience has turned me from a extremely satisfied customer to a skeptic about future work to be performed by the dealership.

There is a manufacturers defect with certain 2009 Nissan models. Nissan is aware of the issue, but we are being forced to pay for the repair. The cost of the repair will be 1100 dollars, not including what we paid to have the car towed to the dealership. Again, this is not due to normal wear and tear. Our car was in perfectly good condition until the moment it simply stopped working. When I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs to report the problem, I was also made aware that the reason we never heard of the problem was that they had the previous owner, Michael something, listed rather than us. So the mailing may have gone to him, not us. We purchased the car from Nissan of Woburn as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. How is that possible?By the time I spoke with the second individual from Nissan, our information was updated and she claimed Nissan cannot guarantee that recall information is mailed to the correct owner. What?? Hopefully someone who might have a life threatening recall issue doesnt miss that mailing, huh, Nissan? I certainly receive plenty of junk mail from Nissan that seems to arrive without delay.Nissan is aware of this MANUFACTURERS DEFECT and the woman I spoke with, in a condescending and apathetic manner, said they will not pay for the repair despite it not being due to normal wear and tear and that there is nothing they can do at this time. Consumer beware. This demonstrates a lack of integrity in their car making as well as their responsibility to the consumer.

I am the unlucky customer of Nissan; my 2013 Nissan Sentra has a transmission problem without any previous symptom. My wife was driving to California when happen and need to bring the car to the dealership located at Tracy CA. The only dealer in town! They took several weeks to have my car ready and as a familiar person to the automotive industry. I know that there are design issues and manufacturing errors. I am an open minded person and understand that errors happen. I patiently wait for the repair of the car and pay for the additional travel to pickup my car. I am located at AZ. After that I let my son attending Tulsa University to take the car with him. He noticed a noise under the car and with the months the noise go worse. I instructed my son to take the car to the dealer at Tulsa; they completed the diagnostic and determine an error made during the replacement of the transmission where a bolt was left loose or too tight ended to stripping or damaging the bolt threads. They also recognized an extended warranty for additional 12K miles and the whole repair will cost nothing to me. Well too good to be true! After two weeks waiting for the parts; the dealer at Tulsa notified me that the dealer at CA didnt accepted the claim! They said that there is nothing they can do and I should contact and deal with the dealer at CA directly. The dealership at Tulsa denied to honor the warranty! Well, I contacted Nissan directly and they reported the receipt of my complaint; within the following two day they completed their investigation. It is an issue that needs to be solved at the dealership and it is nothing that they can do! I got a copy of the procedures created by NISSAN to replace the transmission and the additional procedure to remove the parts where the bolt in question is located. It is more than clear that the last person to touch that bolt was the Nissan technician during the transmission requirement. Well after all the evidence still Nissan denied any support or ruled to make their representatives responsible for their mistakes. I am writing this review to help some other potential customers to became victims of their poor quality of products and services. I asked for a writing report from their investigation and it was denied; they do not want to provide anything in writing. Too much to ask? Nope! It is a normal covering for a crooked organization! Do not repeat my mistake; do not buy any Nissan products! I am not complaining for the poor quality. It is for the silly expectation of Nissan that the dealership are independent of their organization. That I cannot have a service across the whole USA but I need to deal with independent dealers, that they are trying to push me to go to CA and fight with an independent organization whom by the way hold a big SIGN OUTSIDE SAYING AUTHORIZED NISSAN DEALERSHIP with their big logo there! NEVER NISSAN AGAIN!

I bought a new 2018 Versa S plus in July. It gets good gas mileage and looks good. That’s where the good ends... The bad, The CVT transmission has an intermittent issue where it vibrates or shudders when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot find an issue. The main seal where engine meets transmission is seeping oil. The dealer refused to acknowledge it was oil (called it a liquid) and said Nissan will not cover repair unless it is dripping on the ground! Really???I’ve had my oil changed twice, both times at two different Nissan dealerships. Both times they overfilled oil. First time they pumped 5 qts into a car in which the owners manual states 3.75 qts and had to drain some out. The 2nd time they put in 4 qts and had to drain some out. The incompetence in these authorized Nissan dealerships is bewildering!I’ve had three 27 point inspection and not one mention of the oil that is leaking from main seal. The green box is checked for leaks underneath car! I will be changing my own oil going forward and saving receipts. At least I know it will be done right... I will not purchase another Nissan product based off of my experience with the brand and incompetent service centers. I will definitely be selling this car before warranty is expired.

I have purchased 3 new Nissans and financed exclusively through NMAC (Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation). On one occasion, NMAC indicated that I was 30 days late on a payment. I had never been late on any of my other NMAC loans and explained that my check was mailed on-time like all the other payments. The credit department made it clear that there was no forgiveness for being late and never once gave me any benefit of the doubt. My opinion is it doesnt matter if you have never been late and its all about the money to them. If they give you bad marks on your credit (which last for 7 years), then the next time you finance via NMAC, they can charge you higher interest rates. Its a scam, so please be extra careful. Check and double-check any payment you make. Dont assume that NMAC is on your side. Hell, Nationwide is not even on your side, but Ill post that bad experience in another article. So it has been 6 years and 6 months, and the bad credit mark from NMAC should be dropped off at 7 years. I am in the market to buy a new car again, so I called their customer no-service department to see if they would give me a courtesy pass and remove the bad mark that they reported on my credit report. They created a case number, asked me to call back in 48 hours, and turned me down again. I will never buy another Nissan again. Note to the world, you can dispute an item on each of your credit reports (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion); and if NMAC doesnt respond within 30 days, by law, the item must be removed. The only way to teach Nissan and NMAC a lesson is to buy with one of their competitors. Also, if you happen to know someone or have the ability to get a message to Nissan headquarters in Japan, tell them that NMAC doesnt represent the company well. Tell them NMAC doesnt take into consideration your payment history before hurting their loyal customer base. That loyal customer base is certainly thinning out.

I purchased a 2011 Sentra with 72,000 miles on it for my daughter on May 2014. About 3 months of owning it, she calls me and tells me that the vehicle is losing power at about 55mph on the highway. I figured its probably a dirty fuel filter, so I called Autozone and they told me this vehicles fuel filter is in the tank with the fuel pump and doesnt get replaced. I took the vehicle to my mechanic and his scanner gave us code PO 745 pressure control solenoid malfunction. He told me to take it to the dealer because the vehicle was so new. The Nissan dealer told me that Nissan doesnt authorize them to repair transmissions, only exchange them for remanufactured ones. Then he runs my vin# and tells me that my car is not covered under the extended warranty from Nissan. They cover 2003 till 2010 and my car is 2011 and that I would have to pay to replace the transmission. Weve had the car one year and bought it with 72,000 miles and it currently has 80,500. Now Im stuck with this problem and the vehicle is not paid off yet. At this point I am running out of options. Please help.

I have dealt with this company for 4 years from not receiving my payment statements, to payments sent on time, to them posting them several day after receiving them at their post office box, to filing written complaints with a response justifying their negligent actions. If you ever purchase a vehicle from Nissan try to go to another financial institution. This one is horrible, they hang up on you if they dont want to hear your complaint, misrepresent themselves. 1 car 2 lemon, never received statements, pay on time, post payments close to grace period ending date, no reason why? I contacted them several times over first few months, could not pay online, because someone opened account and put a password on it that I could not access, they could not delete - bottom line I could not use. 2nd car total brand new lemon send payments on time, they post close to end grace period, same problem, now I pay through bill pay. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB and attorney general, other complaints too long to list. I was referred to my bank to refinance through them so I no longer have to deal with Nissan. I am considering this.

I have been back and forth to Nissan for the past year or so because the check engine light keeps coming on and the car runs hot. The past 30 plus days I have been back and forth. The dealership says one thing is wrong but Nissan warranty claims to be investigating. I have been out of my car over a week now and I keep getting the runaround. Im still under warranty. I just want Nissan to honor this warranty and stop trying to rip me off.

I purchased a car from Nissan for my son so that he could get to school safely. We test drove the car together (fully loaded with GPS sirius XM). After we completed the details of the car purchase, my son got the car and drove off. I made the fatal mistake of trusting the salesman. I did not realize the mistake until I asked to borrow my sons car. BLUF, I contacted, Nissan the internet manager called, recorded our conversation and she kept pausing in 5 min intervals as if she were thinking of how to find words to tell me I had the right car. She asked if I came in on the 16K special, I said no, I thought I was getting the car that had sirius XM and GPS. So then she tells me my salesman was out of the country and then she said another far fetch explanation. I contacted Nissan Corp and was assigned a case # so Heidi calls me every 3 days while I am at work or when she is about to leave for the day to check the block to ask if the manager of Bowie Nissan has contacted me. I returned her call and left a message asking to receive an email and she said she is unable to write an email. I was very specific in a detail letter and she leaves a message to say to call her if I have concerns. I will never refer my friends to Bowie Nissan and yes I have many friends who are in need a car including my daughter. I will refer then to Acura, Acura does not rip off its customers. The financial advisor lied initially to me about qualifying for a higher loan and I have excellent credit. The bank gave me a much better loan than Nissan tried to offer for less years. I have seen cars that are clearly marked Altima 2.5S. The paperwork noting what is attached to the vehicle also coincides to read Altima 2.5S. My sons car says ALTIMA S and his paperwork says ALTIMA 2.5S. The fair thing for Nissan to do would be to add the features that we paid for. We have paperwork that clearly says 2.5S

I learned there is a recall on my transmission that went out 3 months after I purchased the car. I called Nissan North America and they told me I could not get any assistance in getting my transmission fixed. They said because I had a salvage title and non Nissan parts on my car. That was a lie. Then they told me it was because I am out of the mile range. I have documentation when I was in mileage range of the replacement that there was nothing wrong but needed a flush. Went and got one and then they documented that it needed a new one.Their store told me call them. They should help me replace it. I called and they said Sorry you are over miles. Cant do anything? The worst possible customer service ever. I would never purchase another Nissan again. Horrible!!! Nissan is so great and backs their products up. Well I surely am not seen it. There are many complaints about this and theyre doing nothing. It should be illegal! I guess it is going to take someone getting seriously hurt or killed in one of these cars for them to want to do anything. Very disappointed in Nissan!!

Brought 2013 Altima in for OCS recall in 2016. After performing reprogram per recall OCS failed again. They charged me $502.69 to fix the OCS problem. The recall was supposed to address. Even after charging me and making the repair the OCS is STILL broken. Contacted Nissan and was told a supervisor would get back to me the next day over a week later and the supervisor still has not gotten in touch with me. Today the first person Id contacted told me they wouldnt help me. NHTSA has record of nearly 8,000 similar complaints.

I purchased a vehicle because I thought it was a sound economical choice and a practical car comparable in functionality to a Toyota or Honda. I was absolutely wrong. Not only do things begin to break and fall apart pre-maturely, but basic maintenance is almost impossible due to the poor construction and parts used on the vehicle. No one, including dealerships carry the parts for this 2012 Nissan Versa. Theres no such thing as being able to buy a new battery from AAA because they wont have it, I cant get the transmission fluid changed because Jiffy Lube cant get to it, I cant get my brakes changed at Firestone because they dont have the random, cheap parts the Versa requires. I didnt buy a car in this price point to be forced to take it to a Nissan dealership for maintenance and have them take a full day or longer to fiddle around with no better information or resources than the next auto mechanics shop.Of course Nissan Corporate heard from me and took no interest in my problems with their product. I just wished they cared more. I put my toddler in that car knowing its not the safest but forced to continue using it until Im presented with an opportunity to be rid of it. I feel like I got duped by Nissans misleading marketing and branding campaign that they are reliable vehicles. It would be nice if Nissan had more integrity. Will never purchase another Nissan or refer them to someone shopping for a car.
I have experienced multiple major issues that required me to repair my car
I have experienced multiple major issues that required me to repair my car at a huge expense. These are issues that car owners should not experience during the timeframes that I have owned my vehicle. They have caused an extreme amount of stress and required a large amount of time to fix. I purchased my car new, direct from the Nissan dealer. Some of the issues I have experience is as follows. Right when I was leaving for the airport for my honeymoon, the key would not turn in the ignition and the car would not turn on. I almost missed my flight to the airport. Later, after major diagnosis, it turns out the pins in the ignition moved, which would not allow the key to turn. One entire summer, the engine temperature gauge would shoot up after I drove my car for 15 minutes. My engine would constantly overheat, the A/C would turn off, and I would have to pull over to cool my engine down. It turns out the radiator was malfunctioning, which was a very difficult problem to diagnose and required multiple assessments. My newest problem is that my key no longer works and Nissan wants to charge me $500 to get new keys because they have worn out. I contacted Nissan, asking for financial assistance because I believe that keys should last the lifetime of the vehicle. Nissan told me that because my car is outside of warranty, they are not legally obligated to help me. This shows me that Nissan does not care about its customers at all. For an issue like this, Nissan should fix a key outside of warranty. I have only owned my car for 6 years. I am no longer a loyal Nissan customer and will be purchasing my next car from another company. My dad has been trying to tell me to sell my car and I think he is right. I have had enough.

Nissan Rouge with severe problem and poor customer service. I have bought Nissan Rouge #VIN NO: **. I went for the first servicing on 04/20/16. They have done servicing and report states the car doesnt have any issues. I was facing problem with the car while driving around 70-75 miles/hour suddenly brake light was coming on the dashboard. I thought this is a safety issue and reported to Local Nissan Dealer Airport Nissan Cleveland on 5/16/16. They said they couldnt replicate the problem. And after that I have faced the same problem again and reached to the Airport Nissan on 07/06/16. This time with evidence. They have done the servicing and returned my car on 07/09/16, unfortunately one day only I have faced the same issue with that car. I am afraid Nissan has not taken this case seriously enough. Is this normal to happen with every Nissan car? Why this problem is keep on coming after 3 times of servicing. I am totally disappointed with Nissan Customer Service. Now whenever I am trying to press the brake the car is vibrating.

Had a brand new 2012 Rogue Transmission blew, now bought a 2016 Altima and same problem with ct transmission. It blew, AND VERY SAD WITH THE quality of Nissan. Its getting bad. I think soon if problem happens again I will return car and have it get repo and will never get into Nissan again.

I own a Nissan Altima 2008. Based on the manufacturer maintenance the CVT fluids needs to be replaced every 30000 miles. During the first 4 years I did that myself from the drain plug that is designed in the fluid pan. After 96000 miles the CVT transmission failed, with my extended warranty I took the car to the Nissan dealership who replaced the CVT transmission. Now after 30000 MILES I TRIED TO CHANGE THE CVT TRANSMISSION fluid, I found out that the transmission they installed does not have the drain plug. I went back to the dealership and they refused to help. I called Nissan customer service filed a claim and the answer I got - Nissan made very few transmission with no drain plug, and I should go to the dealership for the oil change. They also refused to pay for that modification. So now I got an experimental CVT transmission, with a costly $250 oil change bill that Nissan refuse to fix or pay for their mistake. Unbelievable. On top of that I made more than 15 CALLS TO GET THROUGH.

Purchased car in April 2012. It is a convertible, just in time to enjoy for the summer. But that did not happen because within a month of having the car just in time to use for the nice weather, the car was in for service because the roof would not go up and down - 3x this happened. Then the winter came, no problems, because you dont look to put the roof down. The summer of 2013 is here and the car is in for service again - entire roof was replaced and still does not work properly. The car has been at 2 different dealerships in the 16 months I have owned it for a total of 7 times. One dealership even tried to give me the car back with the windows not closing properly.

Just because I didnt have Hackensack Nissan Dealer write down the deal they were offering when I went to the dealer, a debt collector is after me now. When I leased the Sentra back in March 2012 from Hackensack Nissan dealer in New Jersey, I had a lot of months left for the previous Altima. When I told a sales associate about it, two people at the dealer said, Okay. Well take care of it, and no other explanation. And of course, they didnt write it down and they let me switch to Sentra with some benefits. The benefits were a lower monthly payment and free maintenance for the life of the lease. The dealer said I was set. And this was the first day for the particular sales associate. A month later, he quit. So there was nobody other than me who knows what exactly happened. Also, this sales associate held on to my personal belongings from the old Altima. He quit without returning them to me.When I called Lou **, general sales manager, for the quitters contact info, he gave me a cell phone number that belonged to somebody else. So the employer didnt even have his employees contact information correct. A few weeks later, I started getting calls from the debt collector. I thought it was the early lease termination fee and I thought it should be taken care of by the Hackensack Nissan dealer. So I went to the dealer many times to see what was going on. There was absolutely no explanation of the situation by them. Instead, they told me to watch out for some mails which I need to bring to them. Of course, the alleged mail never arrived. This happened twice. And when I went to the dealer for the last time, Chris **, the general manager (he also quit a month later) and Freddie **, a sales associate, told me that they sent a partial payment for the Altima to Nissan but there was still a remaining balance. Both of them told me that the Altima was being auctioned now. So when they receive the money for Altima, they can pay everything off. And Freddie ** clearly told me that he didnt want to help me because I was rude. Also, he denied signing on the paper with the series of events I wrote down to record what happened at the dealer. When I called the dealer a month later to see if the payment was made, an accounting person, not the general manager or the sales associate, told me that the sales associate requested Nissan to waive the remaining amount and he was waiting for a reply from Nissan. After this, there is no correspondence with the Hackensack dealer. So they just left me with more than $3,000 debt to Nissan with no explanation by the dealer. In October, it was a rude woman from the Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation that told me the collector was requesting the remaining balance of Altima, and not the early lease termination fee.And as long as I dont have a paper to prove that the dealer is responsible for the amount, I should be responsible. If the dealer had told me originally that I would still be responsible for the Altima, I wouldnt have changed the car in the first place. Why would I have to switch a 2011 brand new Altima to a Sentra? But the dealer didnt explain to me. They never even mentioned that I had to pay for the Altima. And there are only verbal correspondence between me and the dealer. Oh, and after talking to Mr. ** at the Department of loss and recovery, I found out the $3,000 is the early lease termination fee and not the remaining balance of the Altima. Honestly, I lost count of all the lies they made to me. In the past 8 months, I was ridiculed and lied to numerous times.Mr. ** at the Department of Loss and Recovery told me that I didnt understand whats going on because of the language barrier I have. Mr. ** also at the Department of Loss and Recovery clearly said it was my fault to trust Nissan. And he was chuckling on the phone. Its sad how I end up like this after being a loyal customer for over 18 years. But I guess Nissan doesnt care about the old customers. I cant wait to return the Sentra and leave this company for good. To all the people here, my thoughts are with you. We just crossed our paths with deceitful people and company. Dont be fooled or preyed on by them ever again in your life.

Never lease a car from Nissan!!! I leased a car from Nissan, made all my payments, had inspection done (car was in excellent condition), I was 10,000 miles under my allowance, and they send me a bill for $420 just because I turned the car in at the end of the lease and didnt get another Nissan!!!! They say there is no way around this fee unless you get another Nissan!!! GREAT way to do business!??? I will NEVER buy or lease a Nissan again! None of this was told to me when I leased the car. I am at a loss for words.... Just wanted to pass this information along so that it doesnt happen to anyone else. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!!!

I spoke to the Nissan and ask about the extended warranty on the cvt transmission, I was told that even if my car was over the 120,000 miles warranty I would be offered a reduce cost to fix the problem. They said I would have to take it to a Nissan dealer which I did. After paying the fee to look at my car, Nissan said that because of the high mileage and the fact that I dont use the dealer for maintenance they wont issue anything but a discount on a new car. $1000 of the retail price. This is not what they said.

We bought a brand new Nissan Sentra 2013, have had problems with it and has been in to be repaired and told every time that that is normal. Problem 1: had rattling in dashboard. Told several times that is normal. Transmission doesnt always shift until you are 2 plus miles in, that is normal. Area around the door, that is normal (this is brand new car). The passenger seat belt will lock and you cannot move, have to unclasp and let it go all the way back and start fresh, that is normal. This doesnt happen every day. But come on, new and all this. We have been battling with this issue for over a year. Will not buy or tell anyone Nissan is anything but a high-risk car. We are senior citizens and cannot afford costly repairs, thus reason we bought NEW. Now trying to pay off and get Toyota, Honda, anything but NISSAN. We have had several other brand new cars and NEVER had a problem with them.

I have experienced more incompetence from this dept. than any other customer service center I have ever contacted. It has been 3 months I have been attempting to get them to send my title to the state DMV for registration. I have faxed them documents at least 6 times during this period. I follow-up with the fax to confirm everything was received and it is all in order. I am told all is in order and the request is being processed. A week later I follow-up for status to be told something or other is missing or incorrect. They do not have the courtesy to contact me when they discover the error, they simply throw it out and never inform the customer. I will never buy a Nissan again.

I bought a 2014 Pathfinder in January of 2017. It was just out of warranty by mileage and the ABS computer went bad. The Nissan Dealership here locally was very nice and helpful and had never seen this issue before. It is unsafe and unreliable because the speedometer, gas gauge, and the 4-wheel drive do not work when experiencing this issue (I live in a snowy area so I do need the 4 wheel drive to turn on when those conditions are present). I would also say that 36k miles and one prior owner with a clean CarFax Report is a bit early for the ABS computer to fail and so I do believe this is a manufacturing issue with the unit failing prematurely.I completely understand that once the car is out of warranty, Nissan does not have to do anything to help out. However, given the nature of the issue and how recently the car was out of warranty (and only by mileage), I would have thought they would be able to help out in some way. For instance, taking care of the labor or even just giving the dealership a direct purchase cost on the part without a markup. The part is $1400 and the labor is $600. I would have been happy with a minor discount on the repair. However, as other reviewers have commented, the consumer affairs department of Nissan exists to read you the warranty terms. This is my first Nissan, which I bought because of the name and associated reliability, but I will never buy another Nissan after this experience.

Evolving Technology Poor Quality Systems - Purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue S, the 5th Nissan in our family in the past decade. While Nissan has stepped up their game in designing overall more luxurious interiors, they are now using lackluster and lower end equipment for some important features. The 2017 Rogue S back up camera lacks clarity, is murky and grainy in even moderate light settings. And in some parking lot situations, all you get is a large ball of light reflection. Nissan sent a technician out from their Plant in TN, but to our avail, all the 2017 models not use the same poor quality cameras. As the owner of model years 2011 to current I have to say this my first negative review of Nissan. I have 4 other Nissans with beautiful backup cameras in any lighting condition. If Nissan is happy with this quality reduction, we will no longer support Nissan. Time to change . While no one should rely on a backup camera, it should be as functional as one found on a 2011 or older. Technology should improve not decline with age. If they do not care about this one feature, what else might be lacking on these cars. I dont think this is a company that deserves consideration, lackluster response, and lackluster technology.

I had to go through the Philippines Call Center for about 3 weeks - back and forth - over 15 calls. This was only to find out that it had to be handled through the United States. At that point getting in contact with my Nissan representative was extremely difficult. I still have an open issue and will keep posting on social media until this is resolved. Such a poor system. I really believe we are doomed as a society after this experience. It started when the dealership in CT (Crowley Nissan) failed to provide me with a rental car after communicating to me twice that I could receive a rental car.I am a small business owner that works with the disabled and it nearly knocked my business out. I am very dissatisfied (obviously). They have already wasted my time that I wont get back - but I am still trying to get them to compensate for the rental car. I could take this into litigation - which I have made them aware of - but I am trying to mediate and be fair here. If anyone has any email addresses for upper to senior management for Nissan North America - or even beyond - please let me know.

2013 Nissan Altima, 3.5S VIN#**. Issue: The readout for the heat and AC located on the center dash console constantly will go blank. Everything is still operational but, blindly, due to the screen being blank. Ive had the car in to Grubbs Nissan for this issue several times. On one occasion I drove in as it was going off and on and had a service tech drive around with me. She videoed it on her phone. I was told the part was ordered and almost two months later called in to have it replaced. Within the same week of having it replaced the same issue began again. I drove in and told my service guy who was there but off duty. He went and scheduled an apt for the following Monday but neglected to put down what the issue was so, when I took it in on Monday I also told a different service guy about another issue I was having with the radio. The radio is the only issue they touched. The excuse I get is, Our service department could not get the issue to reproduce. For the full month of December 2014 I recorded date, time, weather when this issue was repeated. I also have a video of it. This is NOT acceptable and I want it fixed!!Date, Time, Weather. 12/3/2014 2:30 PM, humid. 12/5/2014 7:55 AM, humid. 12/10/2014 7:56 AM, rainy/humid. Goes off after the 4th wipe of the wipers. Bought brand new 2015 Nissan Rouge. My tail light has been repaired 3 times due to condensation and currently not fix costing me gas, time, and unwanted mileage. Each time I have to take it to the Nissan Dealership, currently around 357 miles put on going back and forth. File complaint asking them buy back suv or replace SUV, and they said no and set up appointment number 4. If I wanted a problem SUV I would of bought a used one, since lemon law requires 4 attempts to fix it. I cant do anything but put up with the lies they have told me, therefore for all the stress, time, gas, money and mileage I give Nissan a negative 0. Will never buy another Nissan. Since I cant submit this without a star being check I will check 1, but I stand by my negative zero

I received a bright orange post card from Nissan with the headline RECALL NOTICE - Your Nissan may be in need of correction to assure its continued Safe Operation (in bold face). It then asks to call for an appointment. A Modification code ** is given. When I get to the service desk, he states there is no recall on my vehicle. He quickly hustles me into a 15,000 car maintenance. The cost was $330. After 2 1/4 years, I had only 12,000 miles on my car. I felt I was taken and I was. I made a complaint to Nissan corporate consumer affairs. They will do nothing except to stop having promotions and phony recall cards sent out.

I have had my Leaf for just under 2 years and 10 months. It has a key-FOB for keyless starting system (push button start) and to lock/unlock the doors. My car did not recognize either of my keys yesterday while I was about 5 miles from home. I walked home and called service, and I was told that either the battery was dead or that the car needed to be reprogrammed to recognize the FOB. I could unlock the door with a real key, but there was no way to start the car without the FOB. Not only was there no back-up method to start the vehicle, I was told I had to bring the key-FOB to the dealer to have the battery replaced; I could not just change it myself. I found this hard to believe. After getting the car to Nissan service, it was determined that the key-and-car needed to be reprogrammed to recognize each other and that this was not something that was covered under warranty. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs and I was told that warranties cover something wrong with the car not the key. If the car doesnt recognize the key, and needs to be reprogrammed, how is this not a problem with the car? Also, certainly there should be a back up to start a keyless car. Also, customers should be able to replace batteries in their FOBs.

I purchased a 2008 Nissan Altima with 17K miles in 2009. The car has been outstanding with the exception of the transmission. It was replaced without cost and with an extended warranty by my Nissan dealer at about 21K miles. Other than that, I have had zero problems with the vehicle and it now has 82K miles. Great mileage and very comfortable. I am thinking about purchasing a new 2015 but keeping my 2008 for my daughter. Also cant give enough praises to the service department at Nissan of Murfreesboro, TN.

I purchased a 2009 Nissan Rogue, new. I have owned this car for 10 years, and have paid through the nose for control arms and wheel bearings. August 4th 2015 my transmission overheated on the 400, kicked into safe mode from Cruise control and almost got us run over by a transport. It was repaired with an accessory oil cooler by Nissan two weeks later. Same thing happened 2 days ago on a trip back from Lemington. I have under the 200,000 km, but am 1 month over my warranty. So, I have been in talks with Nissans customer care department. My warranty was up July 30th. The band aid fix for my transmission on August 5th 2016 has failed 1 month after the warranty was up...imagine that. It was a pretty car. Its pretty worthless now. Seriously think over your purchases....I now have no trade value.

I recently filed a claim for my 2008 Nissan Rogue. On 1/6/14, my driver side door would not open from the outside. On 1/8/14, my passenger door would not open from the outside. On 1/17/14, my driver door now does not open from the inside. I was contacted by the Regional office after my initial complaint and was completely offended by the implication that I was reaching out for financial assistance as if I was not financially capable of paying for the repairs to my doors. My complaint is not for financial assistance but for Nissan to take responsibility for using cheap and unreliable door actuators on the 2008 Nissan Rogue. The parts used are not capable of withstanding cold temperatures and stop working as a result of the weather. That is not my fault nor should it be my responsibility. Nissan needs to own up for this mistake and pay for the repairs on my vehicle. This has been a huge inconvenience to climb over the middle console from the passenger side just to drive my car. I am totally dissatisfied and at this point I would never purchase or recommend another Nissan vehicle as long as I live. This is not a request for financial assistance. Nissan is totally aware of this ongoing issue and needs to own up to it and provide more reliable parts for its cars. I wasted $128 at Lynnes Nissan to confirm that my doors would not open. They told me the repairs would cost $800-$1000 which is ridiculous for a part that only costs $26. I am not a happy customer and demand answers now.

I purchased the new 2016 Titan XD Platinum... 62k. Within 30 days they offered the 2017 with a standard 5 year 100k warranty and a rebate of $4500 on the 2016s. After contacting Nissan, I was given 1000 Nissan points which doesnt even cover the cost of a warranty extension to match what is standard on the 2017. As for the rebate, I was given an analogy using Walmart as their example about things going on sale. Nissan offered no help for the loyal customer, but big discounts for potential customers. Seems a bit backward to me. Nissan wants to be respected like Honda and Toyota but lacks the substance and customer understanding to be a tier 1 player. To add insult to injury, now Im hearing that there are turbo issues with the diesel motors. Save yourself the disappointment by staying clear of Nissan.

Where do I start. Went to buy a car and the one sales person told different prices. The service department wanted to charge $10,000 for repairs. Went and got a second opinion and it cost $272 to repair the issue. Then presented the information to the dealership service dept and they still held true that the engine needed to be replaced. So this is a buyer beware and service beware. I also witnessed them not wanting to replace a recalled piece on another persons car. Location is Classic Nissan of Newport News in VA.

Had my car a year (Altima 2016 used) and it’s out of warranty. When purchasing the car I asked for an extended warranty and the finance manager declined me stating that I was not in a position to receive the extended warranty that I was lucky that I was even approved for the car. I had to beg for GAP and he made me pay for my GAP cash upfront $500. Also when I called my finance company to see if they had additional options they stated that those instruction about extended warranty was not true that they would have went through another company not them. At that point I did not understand why the finance manager had me lie to the finance company about the type of car I was receiving if I would not be covered. Basically I was taken advantage of and it worked on their end because now I am screwed out of a car unless I come up with the funds to fix the issue. Nissan said it’s nothing they can do, You have to buy a $3500 transmission. I do not know much about repair to cars but my car is calling for a sensor and Im not sure why my sensors cannot be replaced vs the entire transmission!Call Consumer Affairs and they had an attitude. Told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. I will be taking this to the next level. My voice will be heard and something will be done. I would have never spent my money with them knowing I would have to deal with such poor service and attitude! Please do not put yourself in my situation stay away from Nissans (CVT) they are NO GOOD! Terrible customer service and they will do NOTHING to help you.

We have a 2013 Nissan Altima that started having drivetrain issues around 85,000 miles. The unreliable, poorly designed CVT seems to be the issue. After getting 2 quotes from 2 different dealerships, (one at $3742, and the other at $3565). I asked the dealership to see if this could get covered under good will or for Nissan to cover some of the cost since the extended warranty covered the car to 84 months or 84,000 miles. The claim was rejected because they said the timeframe was too far out. Nissan knows they have problems with this transmission, otherwise they would have never been forced to extend the warranty on 2003 - 2010 Nissans for 10 years or 120,000 miles or the 2012 - 2020 models for 84 months or 84,000 miles.Nissan should be held responsible for covering a defected product that they continue to use. Please dont make the same mistake I did, do your research and do not buy a car from Nissan, especially one with this CVT system. I am having an independent shop to fix my car because I refuse to give Nissan anymore of my money. I for one will never buy a Nissan product again!!!!

I ask to add my wife to the account, they tell me I have to fill a new paperwork and pay over 200.00 and the process take 2 to 3 weeks. Thats is the only option they have, take it or leave, basically. Also they charge an extra 12.00, if you pay with a credit card. In the future I dont use anymore this company or any Nissan product.

I have a 2012 Versa with numerous paint chips all over the vehicle. Consumer Affairs told me to have the dealer document it, which I did. They then said it was environmental and unless the manufacturer deemed the paint is defective, they cannot help. I have never had a new car chip so easily and I am convinced its due to poor paint and/or clear coat.

On May 21, 2014 I purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima with 40 miles. When I was about to drive off I noticed a dent in the front bumper and I was written a promise letter stating that Nissan will replace to front bumper. Today is June 6, 2014 and my car has yet to be repaired. I am so freaking angry. The only thing Nissan do is give me excuse after excuse. I am so pissed off that Nissan would even give me a car with a dent. I have emailed Nissan my problem and I still have not been giving my promises. What should I do??????

My 2002 Nissan Frontier automatic transmission RWD VSS sensor failure caused sudden acceleration and deceleration. I found out the hard way how deceitful lying BS run around crap NORTH AMERICA CHARITY THE BIG BOSS. SUCKS!!!! When my truck rolled off assembly line and off to the dealers the first sensor was changed as was the tranny. Then a second sensor and tranny the same year and third time’s a charm at last the final sensor and tranny for the 2002 Frontier XE. Amazing. I loved my truck. Have all documents. It has only 58000 miles on it and lucky me there are aftermarket parts or a part you can buy to replace my sensor. Why I wonder? Why would Nissan change the sensor and tranny three times on their 2 RWD automatic Nissan Frontiers? And why do they still have parts for second tranny and third but not mine??? The Nissan Xterra same tranny and sensor issue. Truck suddenly lost all speed on highway. Crawled. Not sure of speed. Speedometer wasnt working. Then coming off the nearest exit take off so fast. Had I not had two new rotary and brake pads installed I could have been killed as well as the persons unlucky enough to run into me. Once off the exit on back roads truck was running like ** but I made it to AutoZone which by the way is free unlike Nissan expensive BS. Put your car on their computer - Code came up. VSS. Vehicle speed sensor. After three unsuccessful attempts to attain my sensor I was finally told by Nissan they no longer made my sensor? Just mine. The other two for my truck with different tranny and sensors in stock? WTF AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE FOLKS? From July 30th 2015 to September 11th and Charity said truck was too old and that Nissan wasnt doing anything for me. I implored Charity that it was unfair that only my sensor was discontinued but same year truck were available??? She said she was sorry and I said “When this goes viral Internet TV etc. etc.” and my lawyer she had a chance to do the right thing and make it right 6500.00 and I was out of her hair and they could have my ticking time bomb. Anyone interested in contacting Charity instead of the months of BS and run around she can be reached at this number **. I also have a Facebook page set up using Nissan corporate pic with sucks across the name. Please like, share your problems there. We can knock these rotten sob on their **!!! Fight with me and maybe we will actually get whats fair.

I recently purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue, on August 26th at Concordville Nissan in Pennsylvania. At first, it seemed as though I purchased a very good vehicle. It was a certified car, the mileage was reasonable, it had only one owner and it looked great. This praise quickly turned into a nightmare. During the test drive the passenger side windshield was covered by the cars feature list and certified sticker, covering the small crack I noticed the next day. I called Concordville and informed my salesman (Pat) about the crack and he told me to bring it in to be fixed. I wasnt able to do that then because I was going away to New York and then to Baltimore. On both of my trips I noticed the front wheels were swaying slightly, gliding to the left or to the right. On my return, I immediately contacted the service department (Sept. 11) about this new concern. After the car was inspected (Sept. 14), the Service Advisor (Darren **) informed me that there is a crack in the right side axle. WOW! I tried to shun the idea of what could have happen if the axle would have broken with my family and me driving that car while on vacation. Even though, the problem was fixed the same day, I am now worried about what new problem will arise. I no longer enjoy driving this car in fear of what other unknown defect will surface. On the same day the car was being repaired, I spoke with the Sales Manager (Ryan **) about my issues, explaining the entire situation. He seemed concerned about my frustration and even said he would confer with the Service Manager (Mark) about getting me into a different car. After, I asked if that was an option. No promise was guaranteed. As I returned to pick up the Rogue I requested to speak with Ryan **, he was unavailable, but Ryan ** was. So, I explained to situation again and again talking about getting a different car. He said he would look into it. This was around 3:30 pm. After waiting around for about two hours a salesman name Mark approached me and asked if I was being helped. I told him I was waiting on Ryan **. Mark went to the counter where Ryan ** was, talked to him a little and came back over and said who is helping you again? Then Pat, the salesman who sold me the car came over and asked me was my car still being repaired? No, I replied. Now getting angry because, not only was I forgotten about, no one seemed to know what Im talking about. I explained my situation once again. After 3 hours I was finally called over to the counter where now both Ryans are. Theyre telling me that: (1.) the axle wasnt cracked. The problem was with the ball bearings, but I have an invoice explaining the issue was the right front drive shaft. (2.) I can get into another certified car, a 2012 Morano that is going to cost me $645 a month with a $4000 down payment. I left the dealership very confused and upset. I just want to express how disappointed and frustrated I am with this whole process, from the issues with the car to the poor customer service. Now I see why they wouldnt show me any other car. I will never purchase another nor, will I recommend any of my family, friends or co-workers to purchase a Nissan Certified Car. I am also filing a consumer complaint with the Attorney General office in my state.

I had a horrible experience in every aspect of my purchase. I had a truck moved from my dealerships lot a few miles away. I asked to wait to view the truck in person BEFORE signing any documents. I was assured that the documents I was signing were related to the loan and extended warranty and I would be able to see the vehicle before signing. I was offered $2000 off by another dealer but it was too late, unknown to me I already signed. I had to purchase bed extender and was supposed to receive 15% off for my VIP package, negative, paid full price. I took my truck in for service and spent over 2 hours watching soap operas for an OIL CHANGE!!! Last straw was my drivers door. The door is not aligned properly. When opening the door falls and causes and overlap with the rear door. It closes with some force. I took to the dealership for repair under warranty. I was leaving town for a few days and had to take a cab to the airport to get a rental. I was called and told my truck was ready. I returned and took another cab ride to pick up my truck. SAME PROBLEM. The dealer did offer me a loaner which was nice BUT upon returning to get my truck a second time... SAME PROBLEM!!! I will likely never buy another Nissan EVER!!! The only reason I purchased this one is that there were limited options. I was driving a 2014 RAM 1500 Crew cab which I loved but I live in the city/suburbs and needed something smaller for daily driving. The only options were Tacoma, Frontier or Colorado. The Frontier won based on size and price. Im now wishing I had paid extra for a better product and service. Ive had nothing but problems from the purchase to service.

I would not have given a one star had the option been available. This is the second vehicle I have financed through NMAC. I had a horrible experience the first time in 2000 and decided to give it another shot. We purchased a 2012 Altima Coupe in April 2012. I have constantly had to call and argue with the reps simply to get my information. I was told I would receive in the mail documents regarding my payments and account information through NMAC. I never received any of this. It is December and I still have only been able to get info regarding my account by calling myself. No communication whatsoever has ever made it to me through the mail. I have requested it many many times for various reasons and still theres nothing. Also, their online payment system is a complete joke. More often than not, it will not accept my card info and I will have to retry at a later date. This has caused my payments to be late more than once. I also never receive my statement notifications by email that the reps have promised would be sent. Also, my rate on my contract from the dealership shows 0.9% and when I look at my account information through Nissan Finance Manager, it shows a 2.9% rate. I wonder who/when that was authorized.I will never finance through NMAC again, possibly never own another Nissan vehicle.

Went 13 months 70000 miles. Nissan transmission needs to be completely replaced and Nissan wont compensate at all. Car has had several recalls already. Im sure transmission will be...eventually. Except they want 4500 to fix. This is ridiculous. Several people I know have had to replace these new style transmissions and I shouldnt have to suffer for this. I have missed 2 weeks of work because they dragged their feet making a decision. They wont fix it.

My CVT/transfer case is shot. I called Nissan asking for help due to their warranty extension implemented from so many people having the same problems. I live in a small town and they refused to help me, stating that I needed to pay to have it towed to their dealership 200 miles away and even that doesnt guarantee that they would cover the repairs. They would not allow another non-Nissan dealer to fix it under warranty. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN will I buy Nissan! They do NOT look out for their customers and left me SOL.

As a new Nissan owner, I had always been told what great, reliable cars these were. Well, I am glad that I am leasing my car, and didnt buy it outright. I havent ever had a new car with problems. And saying that, I have owned both domestic and foreign. I have had problems with my transmission, suspension, and taking the car out of park since the first week of ownership. Had I known about the CVT belt problem with the transmission, I would have gone with my first choice in cars. The upside is that the dealership at Cool Springs, and Murfreesboro TN are about as nice as a person could ask for.

Having owned Lexuses for years, I recently purchased a New 2013 Nissan Altima S, with 18 miles on it for my daughter to take to college. She drove the car home when the MIL light went on. I notified Carriage Nissan in Gainesville Georgia and was told it must be a loose gas cap. I was told to continue to drive the car. After 1 week and 700 miles, I took the car in for service and was told I need a new transmission.I contacted Nissan Consumer affairs and stated my displeasure and asked specifically that the car be replaced. After about 15 days, I was notified by Nissan that they would extend the car warranty to 8 years/120k miles with a gold preferred package and Oil/ Gas/Tire rotation service package for 2 years. It was more or less a take it or leave it proposition. I took the package and will pay $50 to transfer it to a new owner since I will be putting the car up for sale.I will never recommend or purchase another Nissan product again

I paid off my Nissan Altima 5 weeks ago. I sent the pay off via cashier check from my credit union. I received a letter in the mail confirming the pay off. I did not receive the title. I called them up today. I was told that they sent the title to my credit union instead of me. Wow, what a big mistake. So, help me with this. All cashier checks are from banks. So, do you send all your titles out to the bank listed on the cashier check? I think not. I mailed by certified mail the check to Nissan and they dropped the ball and sent it to my credit union. Now I have to wait longer to get my title. Thanks, Nissan!

I took my 2008 Nissan Rogue to get new tires. When the tire shop took the old tires off, they discovered that the tire pressure sensors were corroded and loose and couldnt be tightened. Their policy is that they cant replace the tires without replacing the sensors because that would be disabling a safety feature. So, I had them replace the two worst sensors at a cost of $300.00, more than the cost of two tires, and put the new tires on. The other two sensors were corroded also, but they could still be tightened. Upon leaving the store, I went to the Nissan dealer to see if I could get some compensation for this because the car was only 4 years old with 59,000 miles. I was told that I couldnt because the work was done somewhere besides the dealer. I had no choice but to get the work done by the tire shop because they couldnt send the car out the door with the safety feature disabled. Next I went to a Consumer Affairs website and found out that there was a recall on 2008 Nissan Rogues for said tire pressure sensors. The service manager at the Nissan dealer never mentioned this recall. I then called Ken **, the GM at the Nissan dealer, explained the situation and mentioned that I knew about the recall. At this point, he said the recall was VIN specific and that my vehicle was not covered. Obviously, if my vehicle isnt covered, it should be because the problem is the same as the one covered by the recall. Shouldnt I be compensated for the cost of the sensors and have the other two replaced at no cost?

I first contacted NMAC on Feb 24th, 2014 about a deferral for my loan of my 2013 Nissan Sentra SR because I lost my job. My account # **. I was given a 2 month deferral on my loan that day. The original rep I spoke with said that I needed to sign a document and send it back for their records. I was asked to send the document back before March 4th or my account would be late and I would be assessed a late fee, which I had agreed to. I called back on the Feb 28th because I hadnt received the document yet and it was getting close to the deadline of the account being late and I didnt want to get a late fee. The rep I spoke to on the 28th said the document was sent on the 26th and I should receive it any day. I was also was told the whole process would take 2 days. The rep I spoke with said he was waiving the late fee because of this delay. I asked if the document could be faxed over to me to expedite the process. I was told an original signature was needed so I couldnt get it faxed. Finally on the 6th when I still hadnt received the paperwork, I asked again if the letter could be faxed. At that time I was given a fax number and was told a late fee would be assessed. When I told the rep on the 6th that my late fee was supposed to be waived, she told me the paperwork I was signing specifies I would be responsible for any late fees. I signed the paperwork and faxed it back and also mailed it on the 7th. Im writing this today because I just received the document on March 8th and the envelope was post marked March 3rd which means it wasnt sent out on the 26th like I was told and I was going to be late anyway because of the 2 days it was going to take to process and now there is a late of $22.00. I am requested the late fee be taken off the account effective immediately due to the lack of urgency on the part of NMAC. I am very disappointed with service I have received.

My wife just had an accident today, 31 Jan 2012. It was a front end collision with her 2003 Nissan Sentra. She rear ended someone when she was driving 50 mph in a 55 mph zone. The braked car moved 75ft before colliding the driver side front end into the truck in front of her. The truck received little damage; however, her Nissan was crushed in the entire drivers side front half. The airbag did not deploy, and she stated the wheels would not turn to avoid the truck in front when she was braking. I took pictures and a video of the car and the entire scene. The police officer stated it was strange the air bag did not deploy, it should have. We just had her car serviced at the local Nissan dealership a couple months prior. I am wondering why the wheels locked when braking and why the airbag did not deploy. The car is totaled.
How can the government say rear end crashes will be helped by the very tech
How can the government say rear end crashes will be helped by the very technology that will cause them on the other end? Our 2018 Rogue suddenly started braking, with no reason!! We bought it just a month ago. Was driving 30 mph on a neighborhood road. The car made a loud grinding sound and suddenly stopped dead still. No cars in front or back. No metal plates in the road (I’ve heard things like that, or railroad tracks, even small birds, etc. will trigger the faulty sensor and cause the brakes to engage!). This is a known issue. And is very dangerous and could be deadly. The dealership says they have received no information on this from Nissan, although we have found bulletins issued several times and have printed them out. People will be killed because of this bad technology.

Its a great car. Its easy to drive, its a great color and it was in my price range. It has very nice comfortable seats that heat up and its super comfortable to drive and ride in it. Its smooth and I love it. However, sometimes the tires feel really odd and really off and it simply makes me a little nervous to drive it or really be in it in general. Nevertheless, I genuinely like Nissan and I enjoy the vehicle.

I purchase a 2015 last yr 2014. March of 2015 I was driving on the highway going about 60/70 when my car dropped on its own all the way down to 10/15. Me and my kids were in the car. Took it to Sheridan Nissan where I bought the car from, they couldnt find anything. Well it happen again, this time my husband recorded on his phone showed the service department. They replace the transmission. Now 10/2015 the transmission seal broke.

I bought my car in Swansea car dealer Bassett on the 27 of May 2016 but the car did not have a spare tire or emergency kit as declared by the dealer. I have been stopped by the police and they told me l was breaking the law. I told them that when l bought the car there was no spare tire or emergency kit and they told me that Nissan as a company was suppose to provide a spare tire or emergency kit.

2 weeks ago I had a problem with my Nissan Sentra which I bought in 2015 brand new. The problem was about the transmission system. Whenever I drive my car I felt some noise at low speed and increase with speed increase. I reported the case to Nissan service centre in Sultanate of Oman Azaiba branch. After their diagnosis, they confirmed the transmission issue and informed me that they will send the report to insurance company as I had 5 years extended warranty. 2 days later I received a call from Nissan service saying to me that warranty didnt approve the repair and no realistic reason was provided to me. I was very upset how such company is playing with our trust. I now understand the meaning of cheap treatment and products offering. The people from the service centre looks to be trained more for sales than customer support. I am still waiting for Nissan to check what other option is available to fix my issue. But it looks that I will have to pay from my pocket. The next option I have is to file a case against them in court. My company policy is to buy a car every 160k or 4 years. I bought already 2 cars from Nissan and this one will be the last one for sure.

In May 2014 I purchased a used 2010 Nissan Frontier pickup truck from Lynnes Nissan west in Stanhope N.J. They talked me into purchasing a bumper to bumper warranty. In May 2015 the airbag light came on, and I took to them for repair, they wanted $125 to diagnose the problem. It was told to me then that there is no such warranty and airbags arent covered. I called corporate headquarters in Tennessee and expressed a safety concern about it and was told by them upon reviewing my case there is nothing they would do for me. I took the vehicle to another Nissan dealer and had to pay $1242 for a new air bag due to a short. I tried to explain to Nissan that this is a safety issue and a defect in the vehicle and should be repaired at no cost to me, but they don t care about their customers safety or any defects after sale is made. This was the first and last Nissan I will ever buy. This company should be held liable for all safety defects without question.

I had the opportunity to buy a vehicle brand new. I choose a 2004 Nissan Titian! I love this truck. I have taken pride in caring for my truck. I bought the LE Crew Cab in wonderful green color brand new off the floor in 2004 from Coast Nissan in San Luis Obispo. There has been a huge issue that started a year after I bought the truck. The clear coat is coming off the roof of the vehicle and the hood. I have paid for the truck to be waxed, clayed, and restored over the years trying not to pay for the whole truck to be repainted. Although, I have taken many steps to preserve and protect the paint, it’s not! Note that there was another issue with the extras that come with the LE model, heated seats. The driver’s seat almost caught fire and the dealer made me pay for the replacement stating it was my responsibility. I was the one that wanted them. I don’t think I fully understand how Nissan won’t take responsibility for a defective product that could have caused harm or destroyed the vehicle entirely. It is a standard upgrade that comes in the LE model and it is not a customer requested extra! I am writing this just to spread the word about Nissan faulty paint and unaccountable customer care. Although, fixing the paint would be the right thing to do!

Nissan is one big scam. Do not lease or buy a car from them. A windshield cracked on a New car. They put the part on back order without a date. The car is not able to be used and they are still requiring for the leasee to pay for the lease when they are not providing any part, For over a month already! In addition I believe there are laws in certain states requiring a manufacturer to have parts available for up to 5 years on certain items. Good to have Warranty Compliance Advisors as our assistance here. We reached out to Nissan and got a pathetic response still nothing doing.

I bought a Nissan Rogue in 2012 brand new. Three years later my transmission goes bad, because Im over 60,000 miles Nissan will not replace my transmission. Im very upset with them. I expect a brand new car to last longer than that especially when I still have payments.

Leaf - false range claims. Leased this car new. Promised 100 miles or 86 miles EPA rated per charge. Since new only able to get 24 miles per charge. Nissan checked car and denied any problems. Had it to 3 mechanics and all 3 agree its not normal. Pursuing a BBB complaint and legal action.

I have a 39month lease on a Rogue - 4 months before lease end, I had to replace all 4 tires. So I did, at a cost of over $600 from the dealer. And whoever drove the car in/out of the service area put a big scratch on the back corner bumper. I had the lease inspection a few weeks prior to turn-in date and it was noted that the tires were mismatched (they put on H speed rated tires instead of S speed rated) and that I would be charged $628 for new ones plus another $100 to fix the scratch. I called the dealer since they were the ones who put the new tires on (and the scratch). They replaced the four tires with the right speed rating and fixed the scratch. I was assured that everything was taken care of and all I would owe was the disposition fee at that time. And when I turned it in, I was assured again that everything was taken care of. I always serviced the vehicle on time, kept it super clean and even turned it in 7,000 miles under the allotted amount. I got a bill today from NMAC for $1,198.80 for new tires and the scratch, plus the disposition fee. Of course, there is no contact phone number or email on the bill (I did find a number to call via searching the internet). I have contacted my dealer first and can only hope they will help resolve this for me. I am physically sick to my stomach and will never, never, ever lease again (especially from Nissan)!

My daughter decided to replace her Ford Fiesta 2010 which she had many problems with the dual clutch. She bought a new Nissan Juke 2017 at 417 Nissan (Ottawa, Ontario) thinking there wont be issues, its new right? The car had maybe 25 km on it when she left the dealer, drove for 10 km and service engine came up (just left the dealer). She went back to the dealer, it took 1 week for them to figure out that it was a manufactured pin that was not pushed completely down. She picked up her car, approx. 1.5 months after, she broke down again, got towed. Now they said it was the wiring harness that needed to be replaced, it took forever to get the part (4 wks). It got replaced and fixed, drove it again for not even 1 month. This time it was worse. She thought the car was going to explode, RPM going crazy and could hardly go forward, service engine everything was lighting up in the dash, she got towed the 3rd time. My daughter is only 18 years old, making her bi-weekly payments and working 4 jobs. Now Nissan Finance have no problem digging in her account to withdrawal the payment when she has been asking since the 2nd break down to replace it with another Juke. Nissan (head office) wont even return our calls, they are not professional at all. Now the car is in the garage, lord knows what is the issue but service is terrible, not keeping us up to date and Nissan (head office) senior person is supposed to call us back within 24 hrs, still nothing. This is not acceptable.

I lease a Nissan rouge on February 2015. From very first month I had different issues. Nissan Canada and my dealership know about it. My concerns are: 1. Electronic problem with Nissan Rouge, My previous Nissan ride off for electrical issue. 2. My 2015 Nissan Rouge: Feb 23-15: Not enough hot air flow from floor vent. (Alta Nissan). Mar 13-15: replace: TC10AA heater and AC control. (Avenue Nissan). May 19-15: tail gate open by itself while city driving -- navigation froze. (Police close the road and let me to collect my clothes from the road). Jun 27-15: tail gate bar not close. Sep17-15: tailing door opens while driving -- invalid key -- navi screen freeze. October13-15: Invalid Key Id -- navi screen freeze. (Pictures and Video sent to Alta Nissan and Nissan Canada). October 31-15: Tail gate opened while driving and cause damages. I was told they can find the issue so I have to pay for damage! I even didnt received a copy of report.3. Terrible customer service. You lease the car you need to have it no matter what. Car has a safety issue? Too bad.

Purchased a Nissan Sentra new in 2011. The CVT Transmission has went out at 79000 miles. Nissan extended the warranty on these same transmissions through 2010. Because they were having major issues. Called Nissan and they informed me today that they would not help with the repair of the transmission because so far no one has had issues other than myself. So now I will have to spend $3800.00 to be repaired. But there is an issue concerning the CVT Transmission that has not been fixed for several years. If I had done my homework I would have not purchased any car with this transmission. Read the reviews please dont get stuck like I have.

I purchased a Nissan Rogue in 2014. I absolutely loved my Rogue. Until one day I was driving and the rpms revved up and then started slowing down. My husband had to come follow me home so I didnt get slammed. My Rogue only had 90,000 miles. I called Nissan and was told, Oh you are out of warranty, sorry cant help you. I lost my job and then the bank took my vehicle. It has destroyed me financially. I was told that until people die because of these bad transmissions Nissan will never do anything about it. I will never be able to buy a car again because of this. I am 58 and always had good credit until now.
