I purchased my 2017 Nissan Murano on 2/27/17 from Frank Fletcher Nissan, Joplin MO. Prior to 5/8/18 (I do not have this date or who I spoke with at Fletchers) but I stated to them when my husband drove the car and placed his arm leaning on the center console the drivers seat would rub against the console causing this annoying squeaking that was continuous until he changed positions. I was asked if my husband was a bigger man and I said yes 63 230 lbs but what does that have to do with it? He stated they have had several complaints about this and all the men were larger. I said that is no reason for the seat to squeak! We had other vehicles & not ever had this issue. So on 5/8/18 I took my car in and the service dept said they could and I agreed to let them install washers to tilt seat slightly and prevent rubbing. This seemed to work briefly but then it started again. Nothing like before but still it should not be happening. So I went back again to report it. This is my 1st brand new car and this should not be the way it is & I have never had a car that had this issue and I am sure I could have bought any other car & not had this issue. So I said if you cant fix it who should I speak with that might be able to assist me and at that time he gave me the 1-800-nissan-1 #. On 6/6/18 I contacted the 800 Nissan consumer affairs and the person I spoke with said they will send case to regional consumer affairs specialist to get in contact with dealer and investigate giving me a case # ** from agent #**. on 6/8/18 I spoke with regional affairs rep and he had authorized technical resource to talk with Fletchers and that my car was under warranty so call and make an appointment to take my car in. 6/8/18 I called Fletcher for an appt. They said they will need my car 1/2 day but he will get ahold of Regional consumer affairs and find out how to get set up with tech. 6/11/18 Fletchers called. Will get tech line assistance with them to get help on resolving problem. Appt set for Wed, 6/20/18, 10 a.m. 6/20/18 took car to Fletcher Nissan Joplin, MO. Service manager said will contact tech line and see what they can do. He came back to get me in just a short amount of time and said I could take car and he would call me to bring it back in once tech line calls them back to let him know how to resolve. On 6/29/18 I receive a call from Fletchers customer service dept asking if my problem was resolved to my satisfaction and I said no and explained I was still waiting to hear back from service dept at which time she transferred me over to the head of the service dept. The man said he had spoke with tech line and they were not to modify seat or replace it. He was told it is a characteristic of this vehicle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! At which time I told him I would NEVER purchase another Nissan again and it is a shame because my sister bought one just like mine because I liked mine so much until this and now they will never buy another Nissan either. I called 800 Nissan back and spoke with agent #** and asked for a supervisor. He said he will have a supervisor call me back no later than tomorrow. He did have me explain to him my issue so it could be noted prior to supervisor calling me back. 7/12/18 a supervisor called, left a message on my phone and said the dealership provided me with correct information. The vehicle is operating as designed and it is a normal characteristic. They will follow up with me tomorrow to make sure I received this message.7/16/18 Sammie called and I was not where I could talk so told her I would call her back Tuesday at 10 a.m. She gave me her direct #. 7/17/18 Sammie called me back at 9:40 a.m. Said all she could do was restate what I had been told which was it is a characteristic of this vehicle. I said I knew of other people per Fletcher dealership in Joplin that are having this same problem but I also know it is not every car since my sister bought the same vehicle due to my recommendation and hers does not do this so how can you consider this a characteristic. She once again said it is a characteristic of this vehicle. Call was ended! Case # ** 7/17/18 I called Sammie back. Left message to call me back - no return call. 7/18/18 called her again leaving another message with my # to please return my call and to this day still have not received a return call.

Still trying to pursue a Lawsuit over a negative life-changing experience which cost me negative and fraudulent credit reporting by NMAC of which I did end up homeless, (my line of work depended heavily on a near perfect credit report) for which NMAC finance/accounting department exercise Corporate Greed to the Max!NMAC lacks Leadership in their Accounting Department. Will accept Fraudulent paperwork that High School Graduates with ZERO accounting background, are the financier within Nissan Dealership cross country. The Nissan Dealership Mission is to prey on the Independent Purchaser; check / run credit background, even at a great Credit Score Rating, will state Zero% interest, yet Contract at 4.99% interest... Gross financial administrative error! Then, they will overinflate car cost. (Bait & Switch rule) Targeting and profiling minorities. (**s, Hispanic and Single Women purchasers.)Truth is, the dealership gains!!! The NMAC financial service gains, the State DMV gains, and the infrastructure within the county gains at the expense of the Consumer! As a whole, Nissan Capitalizes on good citizens absent of Financial Accountability by accepting fraudulent contracts by their own dealership!! This action would never hold merit in US Banking or Security grounded financial institutions. The Dealership will sell maintenance issue Vehicles under the pretense that car is without flaws. While the very own Consumer Protection Lawyer in that particular district eats lunch with the local Lawyer who represents Nissan Dealerships and NMAC! Even the Lemon Law doesnt hold up in Court, to include Consumer lawyers must be paid heavily as a kick-back bonus to steer clear of Lawsuits targeting Nissan. Similar to pharmaceutical Corporations and malpractice suits with cross-contamination probable issues! Those Consumers lack legal representation as a whole! Still hoping to get involved with a Class Action Consumer Violation on a Federal Scale! Oh, did I mention its a Japanese Corporation; manufacturing in Tennessee... NMAC Financial Department lacks Leadership, fails to correct issues and prey on U.S. Citizens as a whole! Now, lets talk about tariff issues of an overseas corporate business dealing in the USA. The last I saw, the Yen is stronger than the dollar and we continue to be screwed one way or another...THINK ABOUT THAT, before you buy Asian based Products. For the love of MONEY!

I purchased the new 2016 Titan XD Platinum... 62k. Within 30 days they offered the 2017 with a standard 5 year 100k warranty and a rebate of $4500 on the 2016s. After contacting Nissan, I was given 1000 Nissan points which doesnt even cover the cost of a warranty extension to match what is standard on the 2017. As for the rebate, I was given an analogy using Walmart as their example about things going on sale. Nissan offered no help for the loyal customer, but big discounts for potential customers. Seems a bit backward to me. Nissan wants to be respected like Honda and Toyota but lacks the substance and customer understanding to be a tier 1 player. To add insult to injury, now Im hearing that there are turbo issues with the diesel motors. Save yourself the disappointment by staying clear of Nissan.

Overall experience of buying car was ok. When we were checking out the new car, I noticed dust in the engine compartment and requested that they wipe it clean. The salesman promised that they will take care of this during the detailing process. I did not check when I took the possession and later found out that it was never done. I emailed him with no response, meanwhile he keeps sending me emails about giving them a positive review. They gave me one wrong key for the car. I am trying to contact them to fix the key issue, NO response back from the dealer for over a week. Still waiting. Opened a case with Nissan Customer Service. Took them over 10 days to respond to say that they cannot do anything about this. Only thing I can do is take it to the dealership to evaluate the issue. Dealership is 100 miles away and no reimbursement of travel expenses.

I was actually in a hurry to buy a car as mine got totaled in an accident. The price seemed to be a good value and dealership close to home helped. I like my car that is why I have not replaced it after thirteen years. I think Nissan is a very good brand or make of cars. I love how quiet it is. I get complimented on the color and looks of the car. Car rides smoothly and runs quiet. I like the material of the seats. The radio had a nice sound. I like the color, the size, the sunroof, and electric seats. However, I dislike the small cabinet. The covering has rippled and the gearshift fid too. Air vents for the air conditioner are placed wrong on the dash. During hot summers in Las Vegas seems like it never get cool enough.

Murano - Well when I purchased car I was looking on the invoice. They had charged me with pin strips on car but it was no pin strips. Had to call them about that to tell them and have them put them on. Then I was paying my taxes on car found out they had it put in system a higher price model that is when I noticed that they forgot to put the letter on the car what it is, s, sl or whatever. I would appreciate if I could have that on my car sent. I pay for it would you please let me know about taking care of this. I called the Five star Nissan 8436658467 just got the runaround for one person to the other. How would you like transfer from this one to another. Thanks if you could take care of this matter.

I just paid my van off when I started having engine issues. At 120,000 codes read p1701 tcm wiring, p0746 pressure control solenoid, p1778 step motor, p0868 pressure control module. Is it the transmission? The mechanic doesnt want to touch it. Just wants to change the tranny. I can not afford this. I am single mom. Is there not someone that can rebuild them properly??? I bought a Nissan (2011 Quest) because I thought it would last longer. I have not driven the van in 6 months. Its a total loss if I spend the money and it happens again then I am putting good money after bad. Its not worth anything as a down payment if I have to tow it in. Has anyone got to the bottom of this???

Had my car a year (Altima 2016 used) and it’s out of warranty. When purchasing the car I asked for an extended warranty and the finance manager declined me stating that I was not in a position to receive the extended warranty that I was lucky that I was even approved for the car. I had to beg for GAP and he made me pay for my GAP cash upfront $500. Also when I called my finance company to see if they had additional options they stated that those instruction about extended warranty was not true that they would have went through another company not them. At that point I did not understand why the finance manager had me lie to the finance company about the type of car I was receiving if I would not be covered. Basically I was taken advantage of and it worked on their end because now I am screwed out of a car unless I come up with the funds to fix the issue. Nissan said it’s nothing they can do, You have to buy a $3500 transmission. I do not know much about repair to cars but my car is calling for a sensor and Im not sure why my sensors cannot be replaced vs the entire transmission!Call Consumer Affairs and they had an attitude. Told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. I will be taking this to the next level. My voice will be heard and something will be done. I would have never spent my money with them knowing I would have to deal with such poor service and attitude! Please do not put yourself in my situation stay away from Nissans (CVT) they are NO GOOD! Terrible customer service and they will do NOTHING to help you.

Asked for Alica for a email with her name and my case number. Said she would. Well she had Trey call me back then he said he would. Keep in mind they dont have employee ID numbers and cant use last names. They work in your Tennessee office. Neither one of Nissan customer affair case workers could send me a simple email. All they wanted to do was close the case which I had to call and have re-opened 1st time. Basically its waste of time to complain to them. Almost sure nothing was done or will be done. Best they could with all their experience suggest a I get a second opinion... I felt like the dealership was being shady.

I have a 2012 Nissan Murano sl awd. I have it in white and I have different shades of white and my headlights hold moisture in them. I told them at the dealership about a year ago too. They didnt see it and now that it is out of warranty they see it. I only have 50,000 mile. I call customer affairs. The lady told me it was nothing they can do for me because it was out of warranty now and she said she couldnt find nothing where I had made a complaint about it. I will not get another Nissan again cause they dont stand behind their stuff. I guess customers dont matter to them. They didnt tell me that your paint and headlights only have 30,000 mile warranty on them. They say that the headlight has to be replaced so right now I am upset about.

Even after charging me and making the repair the OCS is STILL broken. Contacted Nissan and was told a supervisor would get back to me the next day over a week later and the supervisor still has not gotten in touch with me. Today the first person Id contacted told me they wouldnt help me. NHTSA has record of nearly 8,000 similar complaints.

First time purchase of a loan/lease. Signed a lease with loan prices ($337 month). Total purchase price 2015 Rogue $34,000. Error was noticed by purchaser same day at dealership. When brought to attention of dealer, more or less too bad. All they had to do was tear up the lease form and attach correct monthly price to a lease $134 month. $14,000 to purchase at end of lease or the proper monthly payment, $337 month with the last payment, vehicle is mine... maybe 10 mins of their time on paperwork. Instead of 23 months trying (by me) to get the thing correct. Notified every agency of the error including THE WHITE HOUSE with no luck. Money hungry (Nissan) outfit. Matter went to court March 2017. It is still undecided.

Nissan has known their transmissions were faulty and yet did not make the consumers aware. When our transmission had to be replaced, their response was for us to join the class action lawsuit. We paid $3500 for the replacement to Nissan and they couldnt offer to pay at least half. Only offered us lip service. We are very good car owners and usually keep our cars a long time without major repairs. Never Nissan again. We are not unique, hence the reason of the class action suit.

Stay away from Nissan. We purchased our certified pre-owned vehicle 8 months ago with 6,000 miles on it, and have had the check engine light come on 6 times. Each time, the Mass Air Flow Sensor being the error code. The dealership fixes it, but yet it keeps becoming a problem. The last time the check engine light came on, it stalled on the highway, nearly having us smashed by a tractor trailer. Yet, the dealership and Nissan continue to give us the run-around and refuse to cancel our loan, or provide us with a reasonable remedy, even after a formal complaint was filed. Do not buy any vehicle from Nissan.

I recently discovered that my 2015 Nissan Altima payment is somehow behind
I recently discovered that my 2015 Nissan Altima payment is somehow behind on payments starting in March of 2016. The reason this is a problem is I was never notified that I was behind and have been paying my monthly payments on time only to find out that it has not been on time in 5 months. This is also surprising due to the facts that I tried to make a double payment at one time only to receive a recorded phone call from a Nissan rep stating that they see that I was trying to stay ahead and pay on time but you cannot pay a month in advance. That a payment must be made every thirty (30) days at which time I should have been notified that I was a month behind which was definitely not the case. I also never received a phone call nor a letter in the mail stating any indication that I was behind on payments. We are now in August of 2016 and I am now have 5 months of late payments on my record that will no doubt kill my credit score. I recently set up a direct deposit at Pyramid Federal Credit Union to have the payments pulled straight from my account. So I have been back and forth with customer service which is more like we dont care about you at all service as the rep admitted that you dont have to be smart to do customer service which is funny because that is exactly what he is and definitely was not talented nor good at his job.Anyway after writing several letters and tons of phone calls where they hang up on you I have got nowhere. They have not even asked one time if they could look into the matter and get back, let me see what I can do, nothing. I simply want to know why I was never notified, a letter sent, an email or a phone call and now that I am aware that I am getting burned every month I have pleaded with them for some kind of reconciliation. I have offered to make multiple payments in a row along with the direct deposit payment along with the payment history that shows every payment on time. But in the end I guess it really does not matter to them as I am nobody of importance and apparently they dont make mistakes despite the hundreds of bad reviews. My next step is the BBB and on and on as this is unbelievable and can imagine I am not the first this has happen to and definitely not the last. Keep up the good work Nissan!!!

I am the unproud owner of a 2013 Nissan Juke. This is my 4th vehicle and I have never experienced such issues out of a vehicle previously. First, I will say the vehicle doesnt even have 150,000 miles and but all issues (except the newest one) were all before hitting 100,000 miles. To start, I have gone through three cylinder replacements and thought the transmission was going to have to be replaced (luckily that bullet has been dodged so far). I believe all replacements were for misfires. These were all out of pocket and hundreds of dollars each time. Now my vehicle is sitting in a repair shop because the parts of the undercarriage are starting to rust. The best part is I went to get an inspection sticker and as the man turned my steering wheel, the ball bearing snapped in half so it cannot be driven. Obviously, I didnt pass the inspection. The mechanic said Im lucky that I didnt make a sharp turn getting my vehicle there or it couldve resulted in myself or someone else being badly hurt. This was the result of the rusting undercarriage. Do yourself a favor and run as far away from these vehicles as you can. Otherwise, keep thousands of dollars aside for unexpected and ongoing repairs.

It was good on gas to carry me far distances. My truck also had a stereo system in it which played very good. But I would add a DVD player to watch movies when Im on the road with my grand kids. I like the way it sits up high were I can see everything but I would also like to buy it with the windows tinted to keep the sun out in the summer time because I live in Florida. I would of also like more cup holders.

We WERE a Nissan family. 2012 Rouge on second transmission. First faulty transmission caught fire after Service Manager assured us the car was fine to drive. This left my 18 year old daughter on the side of a highway with a flaming car. 2015 Rouge CVT needed to be replaced. Sounded like the wheels were going to fall off. 2012 Versa transmission replaced the same week as the 2012 Rouge. Researched the Versa and it had air bags that were recalled and I was never notified. Called Corporate Nissan and spoke with two separate representatives that could have cared less that for safety or reliability. My daughters were both dismissed by service managers that told them their cars were fine. I am a single mom who has purchased 8 Nissans over the past 25 years. We purchased a Nissan Titan in MD and then moved 3 months later to Nevada. I landed a job that needed me to have tags title and insurance through Nevada immediately, otherwise, I could not work for them. I had to contact Nissan for a temporary lien release to transfer my name and my mother-in-laws name to a Nevada title and have NMAC put right back on as the lien holder. All they had to do was fax it to me, giving DMV in LV, Nevada permission to transfer that information to a new title for this state so I could go back to work and survive. I now have missed 2 weeks because they have to have all these supposedly different departments approve it, but I am on the loan and my payments are made, and now, they send me a paper that will not do and say I have to wait another 2 weeks to a month. They have 2 more days to get it to me via fax (which is not hard to do), otherwise, I lose my job. If that happens, I will take them to court for loss of wages and anything else I am entitled too. This is ridiculous! They are more than willing to take your money and have you sign your life away, but when you need just a simple piece of paper stating what is yours or what youre paying for or Lord even to follow the law, you have to go through a mini war to get it. Also, do not try to contact anyone there on a daily basis because you will be harassed by certain representative at their answering center. It took me 11 calls in 1.5 hours to get in touch with the person helping me at her extension no less, and then, I was told that it was my fault that its taking so long and that I should have informed them sooner that I needed it when in fact, I informed them within 5 minutes of finding out what I needed. You can bet your bottom dollar that if it were them being faced with losing their job due to something I didnt do, they would be after me like a bat out of hell. Someone, please make this corporation do what they say when they say it and when we need it. I feel for anyone who finances through them. If your life is hassle free now, it will not be, after dealing with them in my opinion. For just a temporary lien release, giving a government company (DMV) permission to do their job and for me to follow the law, it takes 5 minutes. Thats all to fax. What is there issue? Oh, and I was told that this is a special request, something they do not do. Yeah okay.

First, Nissan Finance has no email address to send improvement suggestions to so they really dont care what type of service a customer gets on their website. Im an IT person and have designed customer service websites. The Nissan site is the WORST one I have ever dealt with. One would think changing your bank information would be simple. I am a MAC user and Safari is not supported. There a certain time frames related to payment due dates to contend with meaning you can change information when you want and the help desk cant explain the complicated process you need to go through. After 2 weeks of trying website and help desk I was finally able to accomplish this change.

I am the unlucky customer of Nissan; my 2013 Nissan Sentra has a transmission problem without any previous symptom. My wife was driving to California when happen and need to bring the car to the dealership located at Tracy CA. The only dealer in town! They took several weeks to have my car ready and as a familiar person to the automotive industry. I know that there are design issues and manufacturing errors. I am an open minded person and understand that errors happen. I patiently wait for the repair of the car and pay for the additional travel to pickup my car. I am located at AZ. After that I let my son attending Tulsa University to take the car with him. He noticed a noise under the car and with the months the noise go worse. I instructed my son to take the car to the dealer at Tulsa; they completed the diagnostic and determine an error made during the replacement of the transmission where a bolt was left loose or too tight ended to stripping or damaging the bolt threads. They also recognized an extended warranty for additional 12K miles and the whole repair will cost nothing to me. Well too good to be true! After two weeks waiting for the parts; the dealer at Tulsa notified me that the dealer at CA didnt accepted the claim! They said that there is nothing they can do and I should contact and deal with the dealer at CA directly. The dealership at Tulsa denied to honor the warranty! Well, I contacted Nissan directly and they reported the receipt of my complaint; within the following two day they completed their investigation. It is an issue that needs to be solved at the dealership and it is nothing that they can do! I got a copy of the procedures created by NISSAN to replace the transmission and the additional procedure to remove the parts where the bolt in question is located. It is more than clear that the last person to touch that bolt was the Nissan technician during the transmission requirement. Well after all the evidence still Nissan denied any support or ruled to make their representatives responsible for their mistakes. I am writing this review to help some other potential customers to became victims of their poor quality of products and services. I asked for a writing report from their investigation and it was denied; they do not want to provide anything in writing. Too much to ask? Nope! It is a normal covering for a crooked organization! Do not repeat my mistake; do not buy any Nissan products! I am not complaining for the poor quality. It is for the silly expectation of Nissan that the dealership are independent of their organization. That I cannot have a service across the whole USA but I need to deal with independent dealers, that they are trying to push me to go to CA and fight with an independent organization whom by the way hold a big SIGN OUTSIDE SAYING AUTHORIZED NISSAN DEALERSHIP with their big logo there! NEVER NISSAN AGAIN!

I have been reading the problems with the Nissans... WOW... When I bought mine it had 46,000 on it, that was 18 months ago. I dropped my car Nissan Altima 2012 off Monday and since they didnt have it done by Tuesday they offered me a rental for free. It is Wednesday and I just picked up my car. I have had problems with this car from the get go... I am now on transmission #3 in 18 months. They have never charged me a penny and our dealership out here is amazing! I have called Nissan North America yesterday and they said they would call me today by 5:00. I had leukemia and had a bone marrow transplant, the hospital I see my doctor at is 120 miles away. With the first transmission I would be doing approx 75 mph in the fast lane and all of a sudden nothing. It completely shut down. I have been nearly (could have been fatal) car crashes 3 times. You know how hard it is going from the fast lane to the slow lane with no power. Anyway, I feel terrible for you all paying so much money out. I have been lucky, on my first transmission I was 300 miles from the warranty expiring. I wish you all the best. I am afraid to drive my car now. Fingers crossed for Nissan North America.

I leased a 2017 Nissan Rogue and a little after the first year its been nothing but problems and I have been fighting Nissan over a year now!! Truck keeps dying intermittently, replaced the battery, still happens, left me out in the cold numerous times, been flat-bedded to dealership numerous times, also gives me problems detecting the key-fobs saying no key detected. I asked Nissan to get me out of the lease since the truck is unreliable and unsafe, and they have been giving me excuse after excuse. Ive lost a lot of time, money, and patience with this truck and will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY FROM NISSAN!!

Nissan is, by far, one of the worst companies in terms of customer satisfaction. You can clearly see it from all negative reviews. Nissan is pretty much done with you once they were able to secure your money. Please stay away from Nissan with a clear margin. Ive bought my car 4 years ago and I take my car to the certified dealer (Royal Moore Nissan Hillsboro) couple of times a year for regular maintenance and any major work needed. I was hoping that my car would last, as long as a certified technician touches it. Obviously, I was too naive. I took my car to another dealer (CARR Nissan). They told me that my car has not been touched for years. This is only 1 month after my visit to the Royal Moore with full service.Ive complained to the Nissan consumer department. Their answer was that they cannot do anything about it and that I need to close with the dealer. The dealer is certified by Nissan but Nissan cannot guarantee the best service. The dealer obviously does not care about the customer satisfaction. That is why I sought help from corporate Nissan. For me, this is not how you treat a customer if he/she is willing to spend ~20K on your car.

I received a bright orange post card from Nissan with the headline RECALL NOTICE - Your Nissan may be in need of correction to assure its continued Safe Operation (in bold face). It then asks to call for an appointment. A Modification code ** is given. When I get to the service desk, he states there is no recall on my vehicle. He quickly hustles me into a 15,000 car maintenance. The cost was $330. After 2 1/4 years, I had only 12,000 miles on my car. I felt I was taken and I was. I made a complaint to Nissan corporate consumer affairs. They will do nothing except to stop having promotions and phony recall cards sent out.

My 2015 Nissan NV200 Van just hit 105k miles and transmission failed. I go to the dealership and thats when I find out how Nissan has a CVT transmission issue. I hear theres class action lawsuits and all. Well little did I know when I purchased. So the dealership said it will cost me $4300 to replace the transmission so I called Nissan Corporation Consumer Affairs and they said Im out of luck. They only warranty 100k miles Im 5000 miles over. What a piece of garbage company that puts out a bad product. No one expects a transmission to fail right around the 100k miles mark. That is unacceptable. Im like can you all cover some of the repairs but now they only care about their bottom line smh.

Ive had a 2016 Nissan Titan XD for the almost a year now and have enjoyed the truck, however, I was recently in an accident and was in need for parts. I have been waiting on parts for over 2 months now with no promise of getting my part any time soon. Upon talking to Nissan I got some rehearsed spiel about the backorder and was given no information on where the part is, why its been backordered over 2 months or when I would get it. I have been paying rental car fees for the last month out of pocket because the insurance coverage of a rental expired so everyday Im out more money because they cant produce the part I need. Ive driven a Nissan for the last 20 years and have been satisfied until this problem arose. Not being able to get the necessary parts makes me not that interested in driving Nissans if Im going to have to deal with this kind of issue anytime, God forbid, I would be in a wreck or some other problem comes up. So if youre thinking of buying a Nissan just beware that this issue could also become your issue.

I have a 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5s whose safety/emissions failed because of a faulty catalytic converter. W/o knowing that all vehicles in US have a warranty on catalytic converter for 8 years or 80,000 miles (whichever comes first), I got it replaced at a local shop after ordering the part myself from Auto Zone. Part + labor cost close to $500. I came across some info about the warranty coverage on the internet and argued with my local shop how they kept me in the dark about the warranty especially when its the same terms for every make and model. So anyway, I called Nissans consumer affairs up and notified them of what happened and that I was rerouted to them by our local Nissan dealer. After a billion phone calls, I could finally get to someone who was willing to help and asked me to fax all the documents - bills, labor charges, safety/emission inspection reports etc. I did and they never replied. After another million calls to them, they returned with one call and said they cant do any reimbursement since it was done at a local shop and not a Nissan dealer. I told them beforehand the whole situation even before I faxed the documents. They couldve just saved me time and money by telling the same upfront. On the last call (Glenda, who handled my case) just kept yapping away, that theyre sorry they cant make any reimbursement. It was just a waste of time with these people. Ive always been a loyal customer of Honda and Toyota and swayed a bit 4 years ago by purchasing this piece of junk. Never a Nissan again - not just because of their crappy products which most of them have shuddering issues, but their awful customer service! If only they went out of business before Carlos Ghosn took over...

I recently signed financing papers for a 2011 Nissan Cube at Girard Nissan.
I recently signed financing papers for a 2011 Nissan Cube at Girard Nissan. 425 Gold Star Hwy. Groton CT USA. Monday 6/22/15 I just happened to be driving by the dealership when I decided to see what they had in stock. I checked online to see what the reviews were. Whilst in the parking lot, they seemed ok. So I decided to check the items they had in stock. I noticed an older gentleman walking out the door to approach me. He introduced himself as **. He brought me in to the showroom before I even had a chance to look at any vehicles on the lot. He asked what kind of payment I was looking for. I explained what payment I could do. I also told him I would prefer to put $0 down. But could put $500 down if absolutely necessary. Three hours after I gave them the down payment, 3 hours of sitting and waiting in the waiting room, chasing my children around, they stated that they needed $200 more. Flash forward to today 6/26/15 when I went to the dealership to give them back the vehicle because I was refusing to keep it on the terms that they did not follow through with implied warranty and implied quality of the vehicle. When I asked the sales manager ** why did you have me sit around for 4 hours the first day was here? The manager told me that the credit union was not open so they had to wait until the following day. My initial thought was if the credit union wasnt open, how would they have known that they needed another $200 to secure the financing? Seems a bit shady, but whats even more shady ** showed me my credit score, to assert the point that he had to work to get the financing, only to see the real credit score on the financing application was 40 points higher than the one he showed me just minutes earlier to convince me that I was not going to be able to secure financing elsewhere. I kept both reports to confirm this. Before I ever signed to purchase the vehicle on 6/23/15 the dealership had me take the car home, stating that they were going to work on getting a better financing rate. But to get to the point where I was sent home with the car, I waited 4 hours for them to work on the financing whilst my 2 children were running a muck through out the dealership. This seemed to be a tactic to stress me out to the point where I would just sign the papers without reading them just to get out of there. Luckily my husband was here to help with the children, but it was undoubtedly a very stressful time indeed.I took the car home 6/22/15 and drove it down the highway and notices something very strange about how the transmission was shifting. When going down a steep hill, the engine would rev at 3000. When going approximate 55 mph the car would not shift and would start to redline so I decided to bring it to be checked out. My friend who is a mechanic explained to me that the transmission was slipping. It wouldnt shift into a higher gear when driving down the highway and would rev at six grand until the accelerator pedal was released and furthermore the car would also raise the idol on declining ground. He explained that these are the first symptoms of a transmission issue. When I went back to the dealership the next day 6/23/15 my spouse was unable to go with me because he was working, which was disheartening for me because he is the one who deals with all of the finances in the household. But the men at the dealership insisted that I come back at this time, on this day, as soon as I got out of work, knowing I would be alone to sign the papers. I explained to the people at the dealership that I was not satisfied with the vehicle at all. I told them explicitly that I didnt want the vehicle. I cited the following reasons as to why I didnt want the vehicle. First there was a severe smoke smell in the car. I told them that the smell made me sick. I am currently fighting a sinus issue due to this. I explained that I wanted a vehicle history report and they wouldnt give me one. I also explained that my mechanic told me that the transmission isnt working properly. ** the manager stated that they could do an extended warranty on it. He didnt introduce himself but he did offer a warranty to me. I explained that I still didnt want the vehicle. Another salesman stated that he would take the vehicle out for a ride to check it out. This man was in his early 30s had a small build. So when he returned from the test drive he confirmed that the idle was odd whilst going down a hill. This man stated that this was normal for a cvt transmission. He didnt check it on a highway to witness the lack of shifting, but he was only a sales person. I cant see how a sales person would have known more than a mechanic but anyhow. The sales manager ** explained that he worked really hard to get me the loan, and that I wouldnt have gotten a loan if he didnt do that work, and also explained if I didnt get a car from them I wouldnt get financing. I asked him what kind of interest rate he got and he said, what does it matter!? And refused to tell me, I kept it within the price range you asked for. He made it seem like I owed him for doing that work. I felt backed into a corner at this point. This is where he hands me the modified credit score, which was 40 points lower than the one on the financing application. I told the staff that there were vehicles posted for sale online through other dealerships with far lower miles, at the same price. No one seemed to care, but it is posted on their website that they guarantee competitive prices. This is false advertisement. The sales manager ** explained that he could sell me a different vehicle, but explained that it would cost me more, and I would have to wait another day to see if the financing would come through. He was rushing me along and explained that because of my credit I wouldnt be able to get financing anywhere else. He stated that he could offer me a 2012 leaf at 13000. I explained that if I was going to purchase a different vehicle I wanted to do some research. He wasnt having that he continued rushing me. The dealership was about to close. I later looked the leaf up on their website and noticed that it was listed for 11000, after the fact this really made me worry about the integrity of the men I was dealing with.I didnt want to purchase the cube with the mileage on the vehicle. I felt forced to sign the papers. The men at the dealership knew I didnt have a ride home otherwise. Since my husband wasnt there, the staff at Girard Nissan knew this, and took advantage of me. While I was in doing the paperwork, ** explained that I couldnt not have the all inclusive warranty but could only get the one that covered certain parts. Not only that but he informed me that they would not throw it in as the manager had originally mentioned, but I would have to pay $1599 for it. They told me to come back Friday for the registration and plates for the vehicle. I called Girard Nissan Wednesday. No one returned my call. I called Thursday multiple times finally the sales manager ** called me back around 6pm. He fought with me over the phone about the car, and explained that I should just come in Friday to go over the situation. On 6/26/15 I went to the dealership explained my extreme dissatisfaction to the sales manager **, but he explained to me that the vehicle was mine now, so I would have to take it up with the bank. I explained that I would speak to a lawyer to see what my rights were. He boastingly said go again you better get two of them, and explained that I would not accept the vehicle and left the keys on the counter. Is there anything that can be done about this? I signed the papers on Wednesday evening, and the sales manager tells me the vehicle is my problem now.

I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Nissan rouge 8 months ago. Very recently after driving for an hour when I get to a sign stop or an intersection, the car does not accelerate no matter how hard I hit the gas pedal. Cars behind me start honking, cussing, and I know that one of these days Im getting into an accident. Im waiting for the Consumer Affairs specialist to call me. I already took the car to an authorized Nissan service center and the mechanic confirmed its the CVT transmission. The car has 79k miles, no warranty and the extended warranty that Nissan offers does not include my VIN. I hope to get positive news from the specialist and Nissan will be paying for the repair cost or else I will have to file a lawsuit. Ive read so many complaints about this car and for Nissan to not take action, it is a shame, perhaps an accident, a lawsuit will make Nissan to take proper action to protect its customers.

I leased a brand new 2013 Nissan Altima SV a year ago (March 2013), 36 month lease, vehicle had 15 miles as a brand new lease. Gorgeous redesigned vehicle with all the bells and whistles that a consumer would really enjoy. In Feb. 2014 after an oil change at the dealer leased from, and with only 3,700 miles driven in less than a year, parked the car at a Parking Stall, in my development, car stopped, foot on the brake, while switching gears while parked and foot on the brake, while trying to shift gears from Drive to Park, car took off on its own, with an unintended acceleration and landed in the building in front of the parking spot (jumped the curb), causing an $8,000 damage to the vehicle that had no mechanical problems when purchased.Nissan Dealer when oil change, ran their inspection report and gave me a clean bill of health on this brand new car. I asked them about any recalls Nissan might have and all they said was, yes, the air bags are under recall, but you should BE FINE???? They did not have time to check they said, and when they ran their inspection report they said everything was fine...not sure how everything is fine when you only spend 15 minutes changing the oil and running inspection reports.I reported this accident to the dealer leased from and the dealer ignored me and said, we do not manufacture the vehicle. They were willing to RENT me another vehicle at $50 per day, or lease me a brand new one while I am still responsible for the lease in the malfunctioned vehicle, so they can profit from. No loaner offered. Reported this to Nissan Consumer Affairs, who I spent my personal time speaking with them for weeks and after several weeks of reporting this, they finally sent an investigator on 3/10, to the body shop where my vehicle is sitting not been able to repair, because Nissan Consumer Affairs was dragging their feet. Vehicle inspected for several hours on 3/10 and the latest from Nissan Consumer Affairs, sorry we cannot do anything for you until we get a report from the Nissan Investigator in a few weeks??? In the meantime, I am responsible for paying the lease payments and Nissan Lease company, offered me on option of getting out of the lease, if I paid them $6,000 since I have the lease for two more years, and never been late in payments. I know for a fact that I did not put my foot on the accelerator, while already stopped and lost control of the vehicle like this vehicle was possessed. The insurance company, is willing to give me the payment for repairs, but Nissan with their investigations prevented this, and needless to say, I am afraid after collision repairs to drive an unsafe vehicle that malfunctioned on its own. This vehicle obviously was not safe. If one of my neighbors was walking in front of this vehicle I could have killed someone, instead this vehicle was responsible for property damage and I have been without a vehicle that I am paying for over ONE MONTH.This has not only caused me time off work, medical bills for a head injury I did not know I had during this impact, but still have no solution and Nissan Consumer affairs seems too busy with other issues to worry about one more consumer complaining. If I was dead perhaps a better investigation will have taken place. How many other incidents have not been reported.

I own a 2003 350z Touring and the outside door handles are complete crap. I dont know if this is planned obsolescence, but the fact that they are made out of cheap plastic and break all the time is ridiculous. Ive been to many Nissan forums and EVERYONE with this model car has had the same issues. Why has there been no recall if its such a popular issue? The plastic on the inside of the handle that holds the spring in place constantly breaks into pieces from the pressure. Also, the window motors have both recently gone out. I had to crawl through the hatch to get in my car today and since the hydraulics went out on the hatch, that made it that much more of a hassle. All of this and I have only had the car for 6 months. What next? I have owned many cars but this is my first Nissan and Ive never felt like there was planned obsolescence like I have with this car. Does anyone know how something gets recalled?

I purchased a 2012 Nissan Sentra 2 years ago and I didnt mind the high interest rate and payments because I thought Nissan made reliable vehicles. WRONG. My transmission now needs to be replaced at 85k miles! Not okay! Id chalk it up to bad luck if it were just me having this issue but Ive found countless reviews complaining of the same issue with the CVT transmissions in all Nissan models. Nissan doubled the warranty on the older models due to a lawsuit for their cheap faulty transmission, you think theyd resolve the issue but NOPE! The repairs are going to cost me $3400 and Nissan refuses to help. Awful cars and awful service. If its not too late, do NOT buy Nissan. Look into Hondas or Toyotas. I had to have my 2009 370Z towed to the dealership twice. The dealership did not know the cause and the car just started after some testing. They released the car not knowing if it would do it again. 1-2 weeks later, on a Monday morning, the car did not start after my appointment with a client. The dealership, after weeks of review, could not test out or get the car started. In the meantime, I am working with a gal at consumer affairs. I told her what happened, and a week she called back stating they are not accepting the claim as if it were an owner maintenance issue and 3 months out of warranty. As we found, it was an electrical something in the steering column locking the car down as if it were being stolen. This is certainly not an owner maintenance issue and the car was only at about 32,000 miles. This little bit of time did not affect the outcome and certainly not the mileage. The problem is Nissan did not want to stand behind a known problem in other vehicles with the similar theft deterrent systems, but also because of the cost of replacing the whole steering columns - $1,200 plus. Welcome to my first Nissan experience. I will not buy another.

We regret dealing with and purchasing from this particular dealership. Our sales guy (AM) was fantastic. Knowledgeable, genuine, got us a deal. 5 stars for him. We do also like the Nissan brand. But the second you hand over the money, customer service stops abruptly and completely. Total breakdown. Something is always wrong or forgotten, every single time. Received a vehicle with no spare tire, broken windshield and peeled off window tint (and some other minor stuff). Now you may think ok, nbd, theyll fix it. Thats what we thought when we accepted the vehicle with deficiencies. And we thought that because thats what they said they would do. But they wont. We have been trying since May 10th....yes, almost 3 months. 3 months of ignored phone calls, not returning messages, having to go in numerous times to see them in person and we are no closer to having any of our concerns addressed.Id advise caution against Mark **, the finance manager. He is dishonest, disorganized and has given us false assurities many times. Him we regret dealing with the most. Id avoid dealing with Austin **, one of the managers. Same thing. Speaking with him can best be described as a complete waste of time. We have decided that we will no longer chase after them. Cant keep wasting time calling and driving over constantly. Weve lodged a complaint with Nissan Canada and BBB so hopefully something comes of that. We will fix the deficiencies elsewhere and pay for it, even though it was threatened that doing that will void our warranty. They love to hold you hostage. Long read, but hopefully it will save somebody from making the same mistakes we did. *If you refer to them, they dont actually pay a referral fee as advertised. That is a false advertisement.

On top of this here in Australia we dont get the 10 year warranty or any other transmission warranty on top of our standard vehicle warranty. My problem with NMAC began in December of 2011. I was behind two payments and I was making agreements with NMAC to satisfy those payments. In the past, I have tried to obtain a copy of my title so that I could register the vehicle where I am currently living. Mrs. ** of collections lied to me and told me that the document was requested and it is on its way but it never arrived. I have called NMAC several times to address this matter and they never assist me. They have threatened me about repossessing the vehicle although I have been making payments and keeping the agreements that I have with them. Currently, my vehicle has been sent out for repossession and an account representative by the name of Mrs. ** has been calling my job although she has been speaking with me daily regarding my car loan as the result of a complaint that I have filed against her. Today, she called and threatened the office manager at my job. She has asked personal information about the office manager and I. Mrs. ** has a personal vendetta against me and she is using her position at Nissan to harass me. She has informed my employer that her calls are regarding an unpaid bill which is against the law. Mrs. ** is harassing me and I want it to stop immediately. I would like for my account to be assigned to a different department due to the fact that her and John ** and a few other individuals badger me on the phone and treat me as if I am not a person. Nissan may make a decent vehicle but the financial company NMAC has a lot to be desired. Customer Service people never listen, can’t resolve issues and always apologize for the other person mistakes but never takes care of the matter at hand. I purchased a 2011 Sentra with 72,000 miles on it for my daughter on May 2014. About 3 months of owning it, she calls me and tells me that the vehicle is losing power at about 55mph on the highway. I figured its probably a dirty fuel filter, so I called Autozone and they told me this vehicles fuel filter is in the tank with the fuel pump and doesnt get replaced. I took the vehicle to my mechanic and his scanner gave us code PO 745 pressure control solenoid malfunction. He told me to take it to the dealer because the vehicle was so new. The Nissan dealer told me that Nissan doesnt authorize them to repair transmissions, only exchange them for remanufactured ones. Then he runs my vin# and tells me that my car is not covered under the extended warranty from Nissan. They cover 2003 till 2010 and my car is 2011 and that I would have to pay to replace the transmission. Weve had the car one year and bought it with 72,000 miles and it currently has 80,500. Now Im stuck with this problem and the vehicle is not paid off yet. At this point I am running out of options. Please help.

Nissan is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned and just recently bought another one like it because I loved the first one so much. It is a Nissan king cab with lots of room. I got it for a fairly decent price and I was lucky to find it. It was just sitting on the lot and it took some haggling to get the dealer to come down where I could afford it. It has everything I need. It could use more technology but that would be distracting. It is a great little truck and will be for a while.

I just bought a Nissan on April 13th and wanted to inquire about the payoff amount. NMAC informed me that my contract (i.e., purchase date of the vehicle) was March 29th. NMAC then informed me that I have been accruing interest on a vehicle I did not own for two weeks racking up nearly $200 in interest for this timeframe. I was told to contact the dealer to adjust this. Dealer told me to go ** myself speaking with the financing manager. I tried contacting the general manager only to be blown off. Sales manager has been negligent as well. Nissans objective is to sell a vehicle then screw the customer. If I had known this, I would have never bought a Nissan. Now, I am told I am SOL by both the dealer and NMAC. This is flat out fraud. In this economy, customer service is more important than ever. I wonder why Hyundai, a once inferior product, is gaining traction where Nissan is losing traction and value. Nissan and NMAC are prime contributors. We were looking at replacement for the wifes old Mazda and was thinking an Altima. There was no way in ** Id buy another Nissan now.

Our car is in the dealership for a transmission replacement. Not the first one, but the third in 2010 Nissan Cube (the first replacement occurring a little over a year ago in 01/2015). Unfortunately, my boyfriend drove from San Diego to our local dealership in Orange County, putting him 100 miles past the 12,000 mile transmission warranty. Well Nissan would surely see rationale and honor a good will repair... We received a phone call letting us know that the claim had been rejected. Being the fairness seeking person I am, I decided to call and follow up. Thankfully, the case was escalated and re-reviewed. We received the phone call the next day from Nissan Consumer Affairs expressing their apologies and informing us that the costs of the repair would be covered. I thought it was peculiar that we didnt hear anything from Nissan or the dealership for the rest of the day. After several phone calls and several messages to consumer affairs, I finally reached out to the dealership the following day and they informed me that Nissan wasnt covering the charges. No one from Nissan decided to call and let us know. So, the manic phone calls began. No one returned my calls or even confirmed that they received my messages until after 5:00 pm. Basically, they chalked it up to miscommunication... and told me to send my information to legal. I asked the supervisor to review the recordings and he proceeded to inform me that they were used for training purposes, and that I was welcome to send him my recording if I have to prove my statement (I obviously did not record the conversation). Therefore, we are without a car and it has been in the shop since before December 25th, 2015.

2013 Nissan Rogue CVT transmission, The vehicle loses power due to transmission overheating. Going at a rate of speed over 60 MPH on the interstate in heavy traffic and completely losing power is very dangerous. I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs with this complaint and after a review they are willing to cover 50% of the cost to place a cooler in the transmission. I did purchase the extended warranty for this vehicle but because this is not an original part the warranty will not cover the cooler. Nissan has had many many complaints with this same issue but still only willing to cover half the cost to repair. If Nissan requires this additional part on the vehicle in order for the valve cover to be replaced because of the overheating, then they should cover 100% of the cost!!! I am very dissatisfied with this vehicle and Nissan. This is a very dangerous problem with the vehicle. Its a problem Nissan should fix especially with all the complaints they are getting with this particular CVT transmission. I am very shocked and disappointed with Nissan for not fixing this problem.

After talking to about a half dozen people and complaining they got some guy named Angelo from Nissan Corporate to help me. He told me Nissan parts often go on national back order and this was a common thing. He said it was too bad I didnt rent a car because he would have reimbursed me - although I was told they wouldnt when this nightmare started. Emails sent to the president of customer quality - Brad Thacker went unanswered. Ill never walk into another Nissan dealership again.

I bought a 2012 Nissan Rouge new in 2012. Last week while driving on a busy street 285 in Atlanta the car lost power and I almost had a few accidents. I took the car to a Nissan dealer in Buford GA and they said the transmission was gone. I have 82,000 miles on the car. I asked how much to fix, they said around $5000.00. I explained that other places said $3500, they told me the reason its this high is Nissan will not put in a transmission without a blower to cool the transmission fluid thats what is causing the breakdowns. I asked why was this not on my car when I bought it, he just looked at me. I said is this a defect, he did not answer. The blower is an additional $1200 for just the blower. I talked to Nissan and asked them to cover the whole replacement. They offered $1,000 which does not even cover the blower. This should and I am sure will be a recall someday. I guess I will park the car till then. Lastly in talking to the lady in warranty she had no clue about the blower and said she does not know cars but thats her decision. Can someone help me with this.

No responsibility for a defected paint job because it was contracted out according to the Nissan North America rep that just called me back. This is sad and I will make sure I put this in as many places possible to be visible to your other consumers. In short, I bought a Black 2015 Nissan Altima less than 5 months ago. I have THOUSANDS of light scratches all over the car. It seems just looking at it scratches it. Its clearly a defect in the clear coat and or paint. The service manager at Nissan agreed it does not seem normal and the rep from Nissan North America would not clearly admit the same but did say I was an advocate for you to help but the decision was made not to do anything because its not a warranty coverage and its contracted out. So what. Nissan needs to take some responsibility. I owned a 2010 Black Chevy Cobalt for over 4 years and had way less paint damage when I traded it in 5 months ago. Obviously something is wrong with the paint or clear coat. I have tried taking better care of the Altima than I did my Cobalt. Rightfully so because its about twice the price. Nissan you made a great car and I love it.

Its very embarrassing to have my own customers overhear my conversation!! Its very emotionally draining to try to perform your duties at work, in order to make your payment, and have Nissan repeatedly ask questions that you may not want to answer in front of your own customers. And if Im working with a customer, theyll call my work phone and ask for my co-worker, which is my friend/cosigner. She is tired of the calls as well. I know my payment need to be made. I almost had an accident with my child in my car trying to pull over from the left lane to get to the emergency lane. After waiting two hours for the road side assistance to locate me, my car was towed to the nearest dealership. I finally was able to get it back to Atlanta that same night. No check engine light came on at all. The car seems to be running fine. Took it to the dealership to be check and was informed that I need a new transmission.

Nissan is one of the most crooked companies in the world. Many people do not know that they have been committing criminal business practices for ten years now by fooling consumers with their fancy CVT transmissions that have prematurely failed on tens of thousands of Versas, Sentras, Rogues and other models and it is a disgrace that they have been allowed to get away with this kind of egregious behavior for so long. A class action lawsuit was filed against Nissan, but many car owners never received the details of the lawsuit until it was almost in settlement which settled in March 2020. Sadly this court in Tennessee and all the crooked lawyers attached to this class action lawsuit really received all the benefits of the settlement but tens of thousands of Nissan owners were left out in the cold because they sneakingly increased the warranty to a random 84,000 miles when many many transmissions have failed after that mileage but still very prematurely. I am one of those victims and had I known about the crookedness of this disgusting company I would have never purchased my 2015 Sentra from Hertz. My transmission started showing failure issues at approximately 70,000 miles, but it finally totally failed at 99,000 miles. I only found out about the class action lawsuit because of the research I was doing online and taking the car to a repair service to find out it had failed. I petitioned the court and objected to the settlement, but because there were only a few of us who objected, the judge denied the objection. I am not done with this, but because of the pandemic, I am not able to reach the news media investigative teams to report this crookery. It is an unconscionable act that Nissan has duped 100s of thousands of customers the last ten years. I intend on writing to the newspapers to further expose these crooks. They do not deserve being in business, and if people knew how the company was run and their ex CEO is an international fugitive, people maybe would stop buying their cars. Adding insult to injury I just received a disgusting piece of mail that Nissan has been forced to send to Nissan owners extending this disgusting warranty only because they were mandated to do so. What about the other 100s of thousands of customers who already got screwed? And furthermore, they have made it so repair services cant rebuild them, they have to purchase an already rebuilt transmission probably from a company that is connected to them. The cost is prohibitive for most of us, a whopping $4,000. My poor car has been sitting outside unable to be driven for seven months now and furthermore these cars will have no resale value due to the criminal business practices of Nissan. Couldnt get any worse than this!

I bought my Nissan Titan in 2017 with 100,000 bumper to warranty. Took it to Universal Nissan for my regular service 35,000 miles, and let them know we have moisture inside the headlight. They said they contact Nissan and the headlight was on order on 1/13/22. Called the Dealer and they said the headlight came in early March. Vehicle check in 3/16/22, called 4hrs later to check on the status, service advisor stated it should be ready in an one hour. In 30 minutes he called back stated that the headlight replacement was denied Nissan. They could not provide any paperwork why it is declined. They gave a case number that did not exist when I called Nissan Consumer Affairs. They finally called back 4/1/2022 stating the dealer denied the coverage not Nissan. I bought a new 2018 Versa S plus in July. It gets good gas mileage and looks good. That’s where the good ends... The bad, The CVT transmission has an intermittent issue where it vibrates or shudders when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot find an issue. The main seal where engine meets transmission is seeping oil. The dealer refused to acknowledge it was oil (called it a liquid) and said Nissan will not cover repair unless it is dripping on the ground! Really???I’ve had my oil changed twice, both times at two different Nissan dealerships. Both times they overfilled oil. First time they pumped 5 qts into a car in which the owners manual states 3.75 qts and had to drain some out. The 2nd time they put in 4 qts and had to drain some out. The incompetence in these authorized Nissan dealerships is bewildering!I’ve had three 27 point inspection and not one mention of the oil that is leaking from main seal. The green box is checked for leaks underneath car! I will be changing my own oil going forward and saving receipts. At least I know it will be done right... I will not purchase another Nissan product based off of my experience with the brand and incompetent service centers. I will definitely be selling this car before warranty is expired.

My CVT transmission was replaced at 70,866 miles by Nissan because of all the problems I was having with it. This car has given me problems since day one. 3 weeks ago, my car left me and my two daughters stranded on side the road out of town when it would not accelerate when we stopped at a red light. After getting my car towed ($355.00) back to the city where I live so that I can get it to the nearest shop, I am now being told that I need to replace the transmission again. I now have 131,000 miles and it is no longer under warranty and they want to charge me almost $5,000 to replace my transmission. That 60,000 miles since my transmission was replaced. So obviously the CVT transmissions need to be replaced every 60-70,000 miles. WHICH IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. MY FAMILY OR I WILL NEVER BUY NISSAN AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE I MAKE EVERYONE AWARE ON EVERY SOCIAL SITE AVAILABLE and THROUGH WORD OF MOUTH...

1st I want everyone to join me in my complaint to the Federal Trade Commission for every call they get they will take down Nissan for selling cars knowingly that have malfunctions! Im writing regarding a vehicle (VIN#3N1CN7AP6FL844173) I purchased new from Landers McLardy Nissan in Bentonville Arkansas on 9/01/2014. The next day I drove the vehicle to Russellville AR so the insurance company could take pictures. On my way I noticed that my car returned very poor gas mileage around 29 miles per gallon (mpg) at 70 miles per hour and that the air conditioner bogged the engine down. Curiously, the instrument cluster reflected 41mpg. I also realized my car was very seriously out of alignment and that my Bluetooth feature was useless. While using the Bluetooth at highway speeds I could hear people but they could not hear me. When the car was parked the Bluetooth feature functioned poorly but did work. The next day I took my car to Landers where they found the car to be out of alignment and several technicians hooked their phone to my car and all reported the Bluetooth feature functioning properly. The service department inquired about my cell phone which was an LG G3 though Sprint. I was informed that my cell service was the problem. (See service notes) This is one of many very disappointing visits to Landers because in the base Nissan Versa, which has a nonadjustable Bluetooth microphone--Nissan is fully aware the Bluetooth is nonfunctional. One of Landers technicians was aware my front struts were installed improperly from the factory but didnt mention it to anyone. I kept returning to Landers because my car still pulled to the right and jerked to the left under acceleration and my Bluetooth Feature still did not function but my phone worked fine in other cars. At one point the car jerked so hard to the right I over corrected and did a 360 on I49 and that resulted in my bumper cover being scratched up. I finally spoke with the manager of service department who had a tech ride with me and he informed me that my car pulling to the right was just a hard constant drift and my Bluetooth would not work until I switched cell carriers. They then put my car on the alignment rack and told me it was in perfect alignment and the Bluetooth issue was my problem.Although, I constantly brought up the fact that 10 gallons of gas which filled my tank up would take me from 250 miles to a max of 325 miles my instrument cluster reflected 40mpgs- this issue was never addressed. The manager told me he could not fix something that is not broken. I then received a survey from Nissan Motor Company and informed them of my cars constant drift, inaccurate instrument cluster, and nonfunctional Bluetooth. The next day Landers had called me various times. The service department, Marilyn ** (customer service manager) and my Salesperson all wanting me to bring my car in. First I met with my salesperson who asked why I didnt go to him with my problems and I informed him that he had saw me and spoke with me several times while waiting on the car and knew I was trying to have my new 2015 Versa fixed. He informed me that my survey cost him and Marilyn a lot of commissions and that Landers had to pay my finance company just to do my loan. I realized right then I had been the victim of a kickback loan. Next I went to visit Marilyn ** who told me from the first time I brought my car in a technician had noticed my front end was assembled wrong in the factory. How she found this information out so quickly was beyond me unless Nissan was trying to wait till further down the road to fix the problem to avoid hurting reliability ratings. I have a coworker who purchased a new SUV from Nissan (a hospice nurse who was working) and the vehicle just went off and Nissan accused her of running her car out of gas and then kept the car for 8 weeks. Marilyn went on to say the service department was disorganized and had a lot of miscommunications and that no one had drove my car to check the Bluetooth but had just sat in the car. I informed Marilyn I had broken my contact with Sprint and went to AT&T and my Bluetooth still did not work. My car was so severely out of alignment I had lost control and expected them to pay My Early termination fees to Sprint, Replace my LG phone, and fix my bumper cover. To this she replied the service department will not take responsibility for any of these things. I even had internet installed at my home due to using over 100GBs of data per month. All of my Sprint talk, text, and data was unlimited for $60 Dollars/month. With AT&T its $40 for the line and $40 for 3GBs of data and $39 per month for internet service. She let me know that my car would be fixed and that was the most important thing to me. They replaced the left front strut and Im not sure what else. The car was still not in alignment and the instrument cluster was never addressed and the Bluetooth feature did not work. I work for home health and hospice and declining a call is not an option for me. They later talked me into trying to trade my car for another Nissan but lowballed me on the trade difference and the finance company wanted me to keep my car for 1 year. I knew it was wrong to trade my car because it was obviously a lemon but was desperate to get out of it because between the car being out of alignment and not having hands free calling and previously losing control I felt unsafe in the car. After that the service manager took the car and kept it over a week and could not find a problem with the alignment but ordered another microphone for the Bluetooth. I assumed he would have read previous notes on what had been done to the car but did not. I took the car back and wrote Nissan Motor Corp a certified letter giving them one last chance to fix the car. They sent up a tech from Dallas and he and Marilyn rode with me and he called my car pulling to the left under acceleration torque steer and pulling to the right curvature of the road which is a term Landers loved to use. We made various calls on my cell phone which everyone could not hear us then Marilyn wanted to call Landers which I insisted she not but she did anyway and she spoke with the lady who she shares office space with and of course she could hear us fine because she had her volume turned to the max at the office and this was preplanned and very deceitful and pathetic. Someone else called and were unable to hear Marilyn. When we got back the cooperate tech who argued the car was fine found the car to be out of alignment and fixed that and addressed the Bluetooth by allowing me to drive the same car only with a continuously variable transmission (my car is a stick) and at 70mph the Bluetooth feature did not work. However, I noted that the RPMs in that car were very low allowing the car to achieve good gas mileage were as my five speed would have the rpms at 4000. The car was still out of alignment and Nissan Motor Company wanted to pay me $1500 for my inconveniences but when I received the letter it was a settlement offer for the alignment and Bluetooth. They also expected me to keep the car in that condition. I will write letters to the Federal Trade Commission, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety until these cars are recalled. Because Nissan is fully aware that the Bluetooth is not functional and the manual transmission equipped cars in no way achieve the mpg as promised and this torque steer would lead to many head on collisions for a driver who is medically impaired. Texting, talking and driving has proved fatal time and time again let alone a car that pulls into oncoming traffic. My last visit to Landers I tried to obtain my service records with diagrams of the alignments and was invited to leave because I admitted I was going to seek legal counsel. I also needed an oil change and my car was out of alignment so eventually I took the car to another Nissan dealership who found the car out of alignment and performed yet another alignment which the car still pulls. I have received stupid surveys from Nissan Consumer Relations asking what I expect them to do. I want them and Landers to be honest. I will be filing Freedom of Information Request with Nissan and Landers concerning other complaints, recalls, and kickback loans. The money Landers has cost me is expected now. The money Nissan offered and then sent a settlement letter is viciously ridiculous. Im not sure what legal recourse to take with them but they have made me a firm believer of staying away from any future Nissan product. Please advise me of who else to contact concerning the immoral car company!

I live in VA and was driving to Alabama on March 2, 2016. First distance drive with car (2016 Nissan 370Z with 5,000 miles) and the clutch went out in Atlanta on I-85. I was able to drive it to a safe spot but it scared the crap out of me. I-85 in traffic not a good place for the clutch to stick and only able to go in 2nd gear. I had to stay at a hotel in Atlanta. Got up early to take car to dealer and the car would not engage in any gear. Had to have it towed to dealer. The Nissan Dealer in Atlanta did provide a rental car so I was able to continue my journey to Alabama. Was informed that my car would be repaired on my return, Sunday March 4th. Received a call and was told the clutch part was not available in all of North America and would be expedited from Japan. I continued my trip back home to VA in the rental car. I have spoken to the local car dealer in Staunton VA where I purchase the car and they stated a new replacement car could not happen. As I no longer feel safe driving the manual transmission I asked if I could replace the car with a new or fairly new automatic 370Z. I purchased the car in November 2015 with only 25 miles. In reading and researching I have found that other 370Z owners are having the same problem with the clutch. This is a serious safety concern. One in which I could have gotten into an accident. It seems car manufacturers wait until serious accidents occur or death before recalls are issued. I hope and pray the car is completely repaired but hesitate to drive it once it arrives from Atlanta back to VA. Nissan is scheduled to have it delivered from Atlanta to the dealer in Staunton VA some time before the end of March 2016. Ive never purchased a brand new car in which the clutch gave out with less than 5,000 miles. I feel like Im stuck with a car that I no longer want to drive much less pay for. It has crossed my mind to allow a serious hit to my credit score and voluntary repossess the car so that I have peace of mind and feel safe.

Purchased a 2013 used Nissan in August 2019. By May 2021 paint started chipping and can now easily peeled off. While driving on the highway, multiple chips of paint hit the windshield - also above windshield and on door and trunk. AWFUL paint job! DAddario Nissan or corporate will not take care of it. I wish I could attach photos to really do it justice.

Over the past 12 years, I have purchased 6 Nissan vehicles, with the last being in May of this year. In all those years, I have never been late on a payment and have sometimes paid my loans off early. Unfortunately, I filed for bankruptcy two years ago, which was granted. The only thing I kept from that was my Nissan vehicle. In May of 2012, I traded my 2006 Pathfinder for a 2012 Rogue and received financing at 1.9% from the dealership in California where I had purchased several other cars. Since then, I have retired from law enforcement and moved my family to Bowling Green, KY. On 11/07/12, we went to the local dealership to look at the new Nissan Pathfinders. At that time, while investigating trading in our recent purchase for a new Pathfinder, I was told NMAC wouldn’t give me a reasonable interest rate again since I was lucky to get the one in May because of my bankruptcy. Having been a loyal customer and having spent the money I have with your corporation, I felt pretty cheap having been treated that way. If Nissan feels like they were doing me a favor for buying their vehicle, I will have to go somewhere else to purchase my next one.

I bought a 2015 Nissan Sentra brand new with 0 miles on the odometer (no kidding I test drove it with the shipping packaging still on it). I have had a very good experience with my car. I am posting because I am disturbed by the number of complaints by other owners with similar driveability problems I have had with my car and I got mine resolved with minimal money spent. Here is a list of my problems and resolutions.Had a problem with what I thought was my transmission (I had the same symptom everyone posting here has complained about... power loss, erratic RPM using cruise control, put accelerator to floor but only get minimal speed... etc but it never shut down as I took immediately to my trustworthy dealer Griner Nissan in Valdosta,GA). The problem with my driveability turned out to be a cracked taillight (yes). Nissan uses a drive-by wire system in the throttle body of the engine (older cars used a metal cable to operate the throttle). My car had a hairline crack in the left taillight and water was condensing inside the housing and caused a problem in the wiring on the car. The throttle body to act erratic causing shifting problems and power loss because the throttle is controlled by the engine computer instead of manually by your foot.Dealer replaced my taillight housing assembly under warranty and no more problems. This happened at about 30,000 miles (I have a high mileage car due to using it to travel for work. I currently have 86,619 as if this post on a 2015 Nissan Sentra with original CVT never been rebuilt or replaced). Weather seals in front passenger doors are thin and get beat up from entering and exiting car replaced under warranty. Rear door seal are kind of loose and can slip off car. 2 sided tape fixed. No more problems (2$). Changed CVT fluid at 40,000 miles. Dealer advised to change fluid at 30,000 instead of every 60,000 as per owner manual factory maintenance schedule to prolong transmission life $160. Had to replace muffler heat shield because it came loose unknown why $285.A tip about driving with a CVT equipped car: the car will drive smoother if you give it constant throttle instead of variable throttle because the computer shifts for you and rev matches with the throttle which is also computer controlled. THEY WORK TOGETHER (like on a car with a conventional transmission and a cable throttle) on a older car with that setup your foot was the shifter. Push the pedal and the car would move and shift accordingly. When you hit the brakes or pick your foot off the accelerator it would downshift because a conventional transmission works with fluid pressure and engine RPM. Now the computer is doing all the shifting and throttle management.Another tip use the ECO and SPORT modes more when it starts to shift a little funny. The sport mode will unwind the transmission better and when the transmission feels too loose use eco mode. Another time to use eco mode is when you have a load in the car. The lower gearing lessens the straining on the CVT under load and then unloaded hit sport mode to free it up then go back normal. Point being use all the transmission modes it will run a lot better. Hope this helps some people.

Where do I start. Went to buy a car and the one sales person told different prices. The service department wanted to charge $10,000 for repairs. Went and got a second opinion and it cost $272 to repair the issue. Then presented the information to the dealership service dept and they still held true that the engine needed to be replaced. So this is a buyer beware and service beware. I also witnessed them not wanting to replace a recalled piece on another persons car. Location is Classic Nissan of Newport News in VA.

Took it several times to the dealership and I was told that the light had to be on at the moment. Decided to call the Nissan corporate and made a report for it. I was told that I would not have a problem later on when my light came on. Finally my airbag light stay on when my car was out of the warranty. Contacted Nissan and they told that my car was out of warranty they did not want to fix it and Its a safety issue.

I am so shocked as suddenly at the end of my term of financing with Nissan financing when I called them as a payment of 375.00 had not been taken from my account at christmas. I have had the lease/financing with them for over four years now. Then they suddenly mentioned in passing that I had maybe 7 or 8 NSF FEES on a past due account!! I said that I had never heard of this before and if so why had someone not/never contacted me by phone, email or letter to inform me of this. I have had no knowledge of this. Why did they not contact me prior. This is not reflected in my bank statements or monthly online statements. If it is a bank error I still require some proof or a letter or statement from them they will not give it. I have always received my mail from them before!! Now all I get is calls and threats form them BUT as I have asked repeatedly for a statement of bill or something on paper regards this. They say they sent it. I have received nothing and how can I pay fees. I have never been informed of fees, not missed payments. I have no missed payment except for the one they did not take out at christmas. I have written them and sent an express mail to them requesting the letter and Proof. I mean they could make up anything they want. I am really feeling pressured to pay as they mentioned they can come after my vehicle but I am not sure how to proceed. Can you please please advise me on this matter.

My airbag light came on and my passenger air bag indicator showed off. I took to my local mechanic who told me there was a voluntary recall P8242 and therefore I needed to go to a dealership since this was covered under warranty. I took my vehicle to Haldeman Nissan in Hamilton NJ and was told it was not covered due to the wrong vin #. I should call Nissan consumer affairs. I was told someone would be back to me by end of day next day. That morning after supplying all information including quote of 4911.52 from dealership to repair (lined up exactly to recall repair) told nothing they could do since wrong vin #. I consider this not standing behind their product. A known issue and they will not fix a vehicle with approximately 60k miles. Last Nissan I will purchase. Also told by mechanic transfer case leaking and due to rust on my rotors they should be replaced. A small amount of rust accumulated since I had been on vacation and car was not used. Felt like they were trying to pull a fast one. Back to Ford/Mazda for me.

Horrible service and no accurate response to sudden failing brakes and light coming on. My car has been in government storage for over four years. My front driver and passenger side window rolls down but not up, the brake light comes on, and a grinding metal to metal sound is made, and sounds and feels like a spring is loose with no breaking control. Almost ran into a car the other day. I am in the military, this would not be good and this does not appear right. Next time it happens, will be taking it on base to see what the issue is. What I noticed is if you put the car in park, turn it off and restart it, it resets itself as if nothing ever happened. So, my plan is the next time it happens, to not reset it, record it, and drive all the way to the base to have them look at it, this could possibly if not, be a legal issue since the dealerships seem to think there is no issue and dont see a problem. Standby...for my next comments.

Absolutely horrible service from all aspects of Nissan. Summary: Issue was reported to Nissan Consumer Affairs (CA) and I was told that my car was still under warranty. My vehicle was at McDavid Nissan for 5 days before it was looked at despite having an appointment. Due to the delay in inspecting the vehicle the warranty had exceeded the 3 year warranty window. CA changed. Told me I was out of luck but would examine my case for out of warranty assistance. This would take an additional 3-5 business days. 12+ calls were left unanswered and messages left un-returned about the status of my vehicle. 3 messages left with the service manager were un-returned. No loaner car was provided and I was told I would need to pay to rent a vehicle. The 6 hour job took 9 days to complete.Full Story: I purchased a 2016 370Z NISMO In November 2015. My vehicle developed a water leak in heavy rain on the driver side door. This looks to be a common problem with these vehicles. My vehicle had 33,000 miles and I was told at another dealership that the warranty only covered 32,000 miles. I reported the issue to CA on a survey and was called by a representative. They told me that my vehicle was still under warranty and should take it in. I made an appointment as soon as I could and dropped the vehicle off on a Monday at 4 PM. I was told that no loaner would be provided and that I needed to pay for a rental. This is ridiculous and seems to be the common policy for all Nissan dealers. By Wednesday they had still not inspected the car. Finally, on Friday they called to let me know that they had found the issue and that I would need to approve the charges. I called to find out what the charges were since it was under warranty, but my service rep was out of the office and no one else could help me. On Saturday I was finally able to reach my service rep who informed me that my warranty had expired 3 days prior to me bringing it in and the work would cost $2,000. I called back to CA to figure out why I was told the work would be covered. When I called they told me I was screwed. Even though I had reported the issue inside the 3-year window, and the exact issue I described was found upon inspection, since the service department took so long to inspect the vehicle the warranty had expired. On the following Monday they called me back in and said they would look at my case for out of warranty assistance in 3-5 days but there were no guarantees. I told the dealer to order the parts so that the work could progress while I was waiting. The parts took twice as long to arrive over what I was told. When I called to find out about the status of the parts my calls were ignored and when I left messages no one would return my calls. I called over 8 times on Tuesday to get a status update and all the calls were ignored. I left 2 different messages with the service manager and these calls were never returned. I was again denied a loaner car. During the entire process my issues were treated as my problem and Nissan was of no help. On Wednesday I called again to get a status update, after 3 ignored call and another ignored message to the service manager, I was told that they were still waiting on approval from CA. CA told me they had marked the case urgent, but it could take another day or two. I told them the work would be complete and that I was going to pick up the car because I needed transportation. CA said that if I did that, the case would have to be reevaluated for reimbursement and could change their decision. I told them that this was absurd, and they said they couldnt do anything about it. Later that day CA called to let me know they had finally reached a decision to cover the repairs. I went to the dealership to pick up the car, but it wasnt ready even though I was told it would be. When the car was finally done, they didnt pull it up, they just gave me the keys and told me to go find my vehicle. I will never buy another Nissan and neither will my friends or coworkers.

I bought a Nissan 370Z convertible 15 months ago with very low mileage. Just beyond the 36,000 mile mark, my convertible top experienced issues which needed to be addressed right away. I brought the car into the shop, they diagnosed the problem, and ordered the part which took 30 days to arrive and install. It was discovered that a second part was also faulty and needed fixing. Five weeks later, I am out $1,750 and still have no working part as we are waiting for the second part to arrive and be installed. The mechanic who was put in numerous hours trying to navigate through the issues flat out told me on three separate occasions to get rid of my Nissan vehicle as the craftsmanship is very poor and the electrical system is backwards (he was referring to Nissan in general). He also says working with Nissan Japan when ordering parts is a pretty painful experience as well - parts take forever. I can attest to this. So in short, I paid $12,000 more for a vehicle with a convertible top that barely made it past its warranty. This is the second Nissan convertible I have owned, and both had expensive electrical and convertible top issues. I can comfortably say that Nissan is the Walmart of the automotive industry. I look forward to turning away as many potential Nissan customers as possible in the future since so many ask me about my car.

Nissan quietly extended the warranty for the CVT (transmission) from 5 year
Nissan quietly extended the warranty for the CVT (transmission) from 5 years/60,000 miles to 10 years/120,000 because of all the problems people are having, everything from shaking to accelerating at stop signs. Its a genuine safety concern. My wifes 2008 Nissan Rogue has the same problem. We took it in for service and they replaced the transmission. However, theyre charging us $2,700 for a new transfer case, a transfer case thats included in the original powertrain warranty that connects to the transmission. The mechanic at Nissan of Bourne in Massachusetts tried to tell me the problem started with the transfer case and not the transmission. I find this hard to believe since Nissan is obviously having issues with the transmission, or else they wouldnt have had to extend the original warranty. There is no reason why Nissan should be charging customers for their own substandard parts. To replace the transmission but not the transfer case which is part of the transmission, is flat-out dishonest. Now well have to spend money we dont have because Nissan wont live up to its own warranty on parts they know are bad. There shouldve been a recall in the first place for safety reasons, but Nissan is trying to mitigate their losses at the expense of their customers. This is not right and it should be addressed.

Weve purchased our Nissan Primera 1.9 dci on June 29, 2007 in Hungary as a new car. Dealers Address: Nissan Balogh, H-4431, Nyregyhza, Lujza utca 19, Tel: +36 42 595 115, Fax: +36 42 595 114,). Our former car was a Nissan Primera, too .Last week we were going home by car with my two little sons when suddenly thick smoke came from every vent of the car. We could hardly breathe and my children were shocked. It was really frightening and the air bag alarm went on. Thanks to my composure I switched everything off and we left the car. I called a trailer as I didnt dare to restart the car. They took it to the Nissan service. It turned out that due to an electric circuit, all the wires got fire and they burnt down. I simply dont understand why the circuit breaker (fuse) did not work? The Hungarian Nissan service says that they cant give a proper explanation for this failure. My sons and my life were at risk. What if the fuel gets fire and the car explodes? We bought this car as a family car as we believed that a Nissan is a reliable and safe car for a family with kids. Now my cost would be about 300.000-400.000 HUF (1.000,-1.400, ). Im not able and not willing to pay that amount for the repair as I believe that it is a faulty construction. I want an explanation for the accident and a refund for my loss!

While driving down the highway, a tire started to deflate. I called the dealership and let them know it was deflating for unknown reasons and they said even though I hadnt purchased the tire warranty that they would patch it and I would have no issues. So I brought it in and with one look they said they wouldnt patch it and I had to buy a replacement because it showed wear on the sidewall. Which it didnt have wear, the dirt was just not as noticeable after being almost flat for an eighth of a mile until I could pull off the highway to put the donut on. It cost me $290, as the rest of the vehicle is under warranty I didnt want to risk any interference of that by having 3rd party work done on it. But even under manufacturers standards it is covered since the tread wear is 1/32 off of brand new and there was only 8000 miles on the car. Their consumer affairs dept. called me back and basically said since I didnt pay extra for a warranty on the tires of the brand new vehicle that there was nothing they would do. But yet the tire they put on to replace automatically had a warranty. Am I the only one baffled by this logic? I will never buy another Nissan ever. They are rude and condescending and awful at listening and helping the people paying for their salary.

Bear with me this a long story, but I took a chance with a Nissan Dealer and am now regretting ever buying a Nissan. I’ve owned my car for a little over 3 months, and 1/3 of those months I have had it in the shop- untouched. Unfortunately, I live in Michigan- where the road conditions are unpredictable. I hit something, and immediately had it towed to a Nissan dealership near me - Fox Nissan of Lansing. This is where they held my car for 2 weeks, telling me they could repair it. At the end of these 2 week they informed my insurance that they DO NOT have a collision center and cannot fix my car. Look, I know I should have asked the right questions, but I work a 9-5 job and every time I tried to call to talk to someone they were busy, which I understand, but I never received any callbacks, and I received no EMPATHY from the sales desk. When talking to what was said to be the manager there, he offered me nothing for my wait. After towing my car to a collision center nearby, they inform me one part for my car will take 4-6 weeks to get there. Then at which I will have to wait for them to fix my car. Now, I am in a position where I must loan a family friend’s car for 2 months. I then reached out to Nissan’s customer service to see if there is anything they can do for me. I wait another week to find out there is not ONE single thing they can do for me, NOTHING. Now, I have worked in the customer service industry for YEARS. For me to buy a car and have something misfortunate happen soon after, and must wait 2 months for me to see my car, be offered no rental/ loaner, no free future services, no free car payments, nothing? Now that makes for a very unhappy customer. I will no longer be buying a Nissan after this car. For any new car buyers? I wouldn’t buy a Nissan either.

We purchased a brand new 2015 Nissan Rogue in September of this year and were experiencing radio issues from the day we left the dealer lot. It came in very static sounding and we thought maybe we were just in an area with poor reception. As we continued to drive the problem continued in various areas. The sound is so bad that we dont even use the radio. Were forced to use the free XM subscription that is almost expired or the CD player. We brought our car into the dealer of purchase and they claimed to have fixed the issue but we still had the same problem. Being that the dealer we purchased from was far from our home, we took it to another dealer. It has been back twice since then and they have not been able to fix it saying that Nissan needs to release a software update and until they do that the problem cannot be fixed. We were given Nissans number to follow up with them and today (11/19/15) I received a call with the regional consumer affairs representative pretty much telling me that they dont have a solution. I asked her what the timeframe is and if they would offer any other answer besides others have been complaining of the same issue and theyre working on it but she kept repeating the same thing. No timeframe, no resolution, theyre working on it. I even asked if they would cover the satellite radio until the software update comes out to fix the problem and she said they would not. So now if I want to listen to anything besides a CD, Id have to take out more money to pay for the subscription. I completely understand that this isnt a mechanical or safety issue but when consumers are spending thousands of dollars on a brand new item that is warranted to work in a specific manner and the company is not standing behind their customer service, this is absolutely outrageous. I have never heard of something like this before. I paid for a brand new, fully functioning car and that is not what I received. Nissan should be truly ashamed at themselves for selling products like this and not even offering a resolution in the meantime. Horrible quality control, horrible customer service. I will definitely think twice before purchasing another Nissan specifically due to their poor customer service.
