Five Star Nissan Albany, Georgia - I cancelled my Gap ($700) and Service Agreement ($4300), purchased a Nissan Murano for $37000 and ended up paying $53000. I was hit with all kinds of hidden charges and got a $3000 rebate. I got a check for $2300 after all of this. My finance person told me the money would probably be deducted from my finance, but it never was. I would like to know where the rest of the money is. I could have purchased a 750 BMW for this price. I am very disappointed and I dont think I will do business with Nissan again.
Dont take it! Bad customer service, broken web, incompetent employees, managers that are quitting and credit department with its own world. LIARS AND RUDE TO CUSTOMERS. I had a car loan with Nissan going directly from the bank. (Draft) 2012-2017. In the year 2015 Nissan changed the rules that the last payment must be paid hard check not directly from the bank as draft. Nissan never informed existing customers about it (me being one of them) and this is common knowledge when you call Nissan customer service - they know they did not tell existing customers. Nissan did not contact me until the payment was already 30 days late. Manager at the time swore up and down this will not be sent to creditors as it was not my mistake and because they did not contact me - they had issues with new web that was put in place in 2015 (also known to all of them). That manager left a note in my account, as that I did not know my last payment must be done by physical check. However, Nissan still reported me to creditors as they dont read managers notes and dont care that this is their mistake. I was never late in my life. My credit score dropped from 850 to 698. There is nothing else bad on my credit, I paid for the report. Nissan credit services refuse to send a note to creditors, but when managers answer the phone, they tell me it will be ok and they stand by their mistakes. Because of their disconnect with credit department my life is ruined. I have never made a mistake in my life. I lived by the rules for 22 years building my credit score and perfect history. None of the higher ups offered to fix this mistake for me. It takes one letter to creditors to get my life back.
There is a manufacturers defect with certain 2009 Nissan models. Nissan is aware of the issue, but we are being forced to pay for the repair. The cost of the repair will be 1100 dollars, not including what we paid to have the car towed to the dealership. Again, this is not due to normal wear and tear. Our car was in perfectly good condition until the moment it simply stopped working. When I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs to report the problem, I was also made aware that the reason we never heard of the problem was that they had the previous owner, Michael something, listed rather than us. So the mailing may have gone to him, not us. We purchased the car from Nissan of Woburn as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. How is that possible?By the time I spoke with the second individual from Nissan, our information was updated and she claimed Nissan cannot guarantee that recall information is mailed to the correct owner. What?? Hopefully someone who might have a life threatening recall issue doesnt miss that mailing, huh, Nissan? I certainly receive plenty of junk mail from Nissan that seems to arrive without delay.Nissan is aware of this MANUFACTURERS DEFECT and the woman I spoke with, in a condescending and apathetic manner, said they will not pay for the repair despite it not being due to normal wear and tear and that there is nothing they can do at this time. Consumer beware. This demonstrates a lack of integrity in their car making as well as their responsibility to the consumer.
We ended our lease with Nissan through NMAC and had a balance due on our mileage. When we turned it in we bought TWO NEW ROGUES. Since we send monthly payments toward the balance on the lease instead of paying it all at once, they notified the credit bureau saying we did not pay the balance! We are paying them for three cars! Also, when we bought the cars they did not clean them meaning there is residue on the windows where the stickers were. Not even one follow up call, no notices for check ups. Really lousy customer service AFTER you close the deal. Totally disappointed. Cars run fine, the way they treat people is the problem. We will not buy from Nissan again.
I recently purchased a car from a Nissan Dealer and there was no mention about returning the car if you were not satisfied. I emailed the salesman who practically forced me to sign the deal and he has yet to respond. I was satisfied with the car until night time came and realized how important the extra features would have been. There are no power windows, no power locks, no light on the ignition keyhole, not even a mirror on the sun visor. Im basically paying for a 2015 glorified golf cart for the next 6 years. Im not saying I want to walk away completely from the deal because I know how much these clowns value their commission, but Id like to purchase a better car for the money.
I purchased a brand new Nissan rogue. It gets ten miles to the gallon. Horrible mileage. I called Nissan and they made me drive all over the place to dealers to get it checked. The mileage is still terrible. Nissan is telling me the advertised mileage of 23-30 mpg is an estimate only so if Im getting ten mpg, they are not responsible and they will not help me in any way. I feel lied to, this is my last Nissan. I contacted the attorney general, so far no response.
Just because I didnt have Hackensack Nissan Dealer write down the deal they were offering when I went to the dealer, a debt collector is after me now. When I leased the Sentra back in March 2012 from Hackensack Nissan dealer in New Jersey, I had a lot of months left for the previous Altima. When I told a sales associate about it, two people at the dealer said, Okay. Well take care of it, and no other explanation. And of course, they didnt write it down and they let me switch to Sentra with some benefits. The benefits were a lower monthly payment and free maintenance for the life of the lease. The dealer said I was set. And this was the first day for the particular sales associate. A month later, he quit. So there was nobody other than me who knows what exactly happened. Also, this sales associate held on to my personal belongings from the old Altima. He quit without returning them to me.When I called Lou **, general sales manager, for the quitters contact info, he gave me a cell phone number that belonged to somebody else. So the employer didnt even have his employees contact information correct. A few weeks later, I started getting calls from the debt collector. I thought it was the early lease termination fee and I thought it should be taken care of by the Hackensack Nissan dealer. So I went to the dealer many times to see what was going on. There was absolutely no explanation of the situation by them. Instead, they told me to watch out for some mails which I need to bring to them. Of course, the alleged mail never arrived. This happened twice. And when I went to the dealer for the last time, Chris **, the general manager (he also quit a month later) and Freddie **, a sales associate, told me that they sent a partial payment for the Altima to Nissan but there was still a remaining balance.Both of them told me that the Altima was being auctioned now. So when they receive the money for Altima, they can pay everything off. And Freddie ** clearly told me that he didnt want to help me because I was rude. Also, he denied signing on the paper with the series of events I wrote down to record what happened at the dealer. When I called the dealer a month later to see if the payment was made, an accounting person, not the general manager or the sales associate, told me that the sales associate requested Nissan to waive the remaining amount and he was waiting for a reply from Nissan. After this, there is no correspondence with the Hackensack dealer. So they just left me with more than $3,000 debt to Nissan with no explanation by the dealer. In October, it was a rude woman from the Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation that told me the collector was requesting the remaining balance of Altima, and not the early lease termination fee.And as long as I dont have a paper to prove that the dealer is responsible for the amount, I should be responsible. If the dealer had told me originally that I would still be responsible for the Altima, I wouldnt have changed the car in the first place. Why would I have to switch a 2011 brand new Altima to a Sentra? But the dealer didnt explain to me. They never even mentioned that I had to pay for the Altima. And there are only verbal correspondence between me and the dealer. Oh, and after talking to Mr. ** at the Department of loss and recovery, I found out the $3,000 is the early lease termination fee and not the remaining balance of the Altima. Honestly, I lost count of all the lies they made to me. In the past 8 months, I was ridiculed and lied to numerous times.Mr. ** at the Department of Loss and Recovery told me that I didnt understand whats going on because of the language barrier I have. Mr. ** also at the Department of Loss and Recovery clearly said it was my fault to trust Nissan. And he was chuckling on the phone. Its sad how I end up like this after being a loyal customer for over 18 years. But I guess Nissan doesnt care about the old customers. I cant wait to return the Sentra and leave this company for good. To all the people here, my thoughts are with you. We just crossed our paths with deceitful people and company. Dont be fooled or preyed on by them ever again in your life.
I have had a Nissan Leaf for about 18 months. From the beginning, I thought that the brakes were not right (they are computer-controlled brakes). They would slip for about 1/2 second when I pressed them or sometimes during use. About 12 days ago, the car would not start and the computer told me that my foot was not on the brake, but it was! The computer could not sense that my foot was trying to press the brake (remember that the brakes are computer assisted). I took the car into the dealership and they have had it for 12 days, and still they and Nissan USA have no idea what the problem is. They have tried rebooting the computer but it still does not work. This is an obvious safety issue (brakes not working) and inconvenience (not being able to start or use the car), and it seems like the local Nissan dealership and Nissan USA cannot work together to get this resolved!
I purchased a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder in October of 2008, with about 20,000 miles from Stockton Nissan. About 3 years ago the VDC Off light came on. I took the car to Stockton Nissan to have the transmission flushed and asked them about the light (The car had less than 60,000 miles at the time). Was given an estimate of $1500 for the ABS Actuator Sensor/Pump and $600 to install for a whopping total of $2100.00. I declined because other than the Idiot lights the car runs good and the mechanical gauges all check out. Then the BRAKE light and ABS light. Then the check engine lights started coming on and off and the speedometer and odometer would go on and off with them. However, my car registration is due in December of this year so I need to smog it. I took it to a shop and they charged me $400 to replace the speed sensor on the right front tire. It smogged, but 400 dollars later I still have all of the Idiot Lights off and no speedometer or odometer. I have contacted the Nissan Consumer 800 number 3 different times. Nothing was done. This should be a RECALL since other Nissan owners are having the same issues. I guess since it is not a SAFETY ISSUE, Nissan can get away with ignoring this issue. This is my 4th Nissan AND WILL BE MY LAST NISSAN, unless this issue is addressed by Nissan. By the way, this is first review/complaint I have ever written.
I am the original owner of a 2006 Nissan Xterra. On Oct. 25, 2017 I took my Xterra in to be serviced as a preventative measure since I was recently informed of a radiator/transmission problem with the Xterra, Pathfinder and Frontier models 2005-2010. After speaking with my neighbor who also has a 2006 Xterra and replaced his radiator; I decided to have my radiator replaced as well (even though I experienced no problems with it) just so I could prevent any infusion of coolant into the transmission.Much to my surprise Nick called me with the bad news that damage was already done & would cost $6,800 to replace the radiator, transmission and fluids. This also included labor costs. Being fearful of a potential problem I did not want to wait 2 weeks for both the arrival of a new transmission & the mechanics return from vacation; I chose to take the vehicle to another shop. At shop #2 the mechanic informed me there was nothing wrong with the transmission and could not see what the mechanic at Nissan (Greg) claimed to have found; e.g. leakage of coolant and lots of rust in the transmission and on the fluid stick. He did however, find a petroleum based substance in the radiator and was his opinion that oil was placed in the coolant.Upon having the radiator flushed & bypassed from the coolant entering the transmission, replacing the thermostat & radiator cap (due to damage of the rubber seals from the oil) the cost was $677.84 with labor included; an expense I should never have had to endure. On Nov. 8, 2017 I spoke with Jack **, MGR and shared the findings of the 2nd mechanic. In a nutshell he basically told me he could not help me and stood by his mechanic’s findings. He went on to say “Sorry for your loss” and “If the vehicle was running good at this time he recommended that I sell it”. I have always trusted Nissan to provide excellent care and stand by their products. I have had my vehicle serviced only with Nissan for the past 11 yrs; with Montrose Nissan for the past 7 years. I am sorry to say “they have certainly dropped the ball this time” and me being the loyal compliant customer will not be returning from this point on.
About 2 months ago, when leaving work one morning, my dash lit up - ABS failed, slip, TCS and service engine. I shut the car off and restarted (it was 2AM, no one to call), same lights, but I had to drive home for about 18 miles. The brakes work. I called service the next morning and took the car in to be checked. The ABS module had failed. The dealer has been unable to get the ABS module to repair my car, the way this system was designed. The failed module was drawing power from the battery all the time so I had to disconnect and reconnect the battery every time to drive and park, to avoid having a dead battery (I work for a 5-star resort in transportation. Meaning, we provide service 24/7 to our members and guest). The solution was to disconnect the module from the battery. Now, not only do I not have ABS, no speedometer or cruise control, this is now a matter of safety and not just the convenience of having the vehicle I purchased. The dealer was unable to get the delivery info for replacement.
Sucks and will never buy another Nissan for the rest of my living life. Bad experience from customer service to corporate office. This all started when I took my Nissan to my local Nissan dealer and nothing is ever cover under warranty meanwhile I have warranty for the next 10 years or 100 mile bumper to bumper that I bought through Nissan themselves. My car is 2 years old with 25,000 miles and my headlights are starting to peel which means The car is very hard to drive at night time. Sometimes I feel that I might get into a car accident and Nissan did nothing for me. They just say, “Sorry you’re screwed. If you want new headlights you have to pay out-of-pocket.” Always trying to make the customer pay. My question is what kind of products are theyre making that does not even last two years? That’s the problem. My case number is **. P.S. Denis Le Vot sir with all respect your company needs to make better products and treat better the customers because you just lost one of them. Maybe it’s not gonna hurt anything but is not going to hurt me anymore. Thanks.
My 2011 Nissan Rogue with 62,000 miles on it needed a new transmission. Warranty said 6 yrs or 60,000 miles. My claim was rejected with a $147.50 diagnosis fee and a price of $5,440. Do not buy any Nissan products. Cant believe Nissan headquarters. With all their money cant help out customers when they know their transmissions are all defective.
The 2008 Nissan Versa we bought new from WESTON NISSAN broke the transmission 10K miles after the extended coverage NISSAN USA put in place after realizing the issue. The results is that owners of NISSAN cars CVT transmissions will inevitably have to REPLACE NOT REPAIR NOR REBUILD the system. Estimated cost to fix your vehicle in Florida is $4-5000.00 USD.
The finance manager over at Nemet Nissan on Hillside Queens, NY charged us $2,734 on our lease contract, for a 2012 Nissan Rogue, when we were supposed to only pay $1,600. He refused to explain the breakdown of the fees when asked, and kept saying I will get to that in a minute as he made us sign all the paperwork. Then after handing us the lease agreement, he still didnt explain the breakdown, and said thats what the numbers worked out to be, and said the contract was already signed, nothing he can do about it. Worst experience ever, after being with Nissan for almost 4 years. That is a big rip off! Now, Im stuck in a lease, paying $290 a month, when I should be paying less.
I have a 2010 Nissan Armada that began running poorly 2 months. I took it to the dealership and a secondary mechanic. Both said the engine needed to be replaced costing over $10,000. Likely cause is flex fuel. Warranty was for 5 years. Nissan will not offset the cost. No vehicle should need a new engine after 5 years unless its garbage.Upon contacting the Nissan corporate office regarding my 2010 Nissan Armada that needs its engine replaced - I was shuttled around to various representatives. None could answer my questions competently. Worse off - they would never give their true names. The area code was for Tennessee, but the reality is that its an answering service in the Philippines claiming to be a regional office. Dont trust Nissan.
I paid off my Nissan Altima 5 weeks ago. I sent the pay off via cashier check from my credit union. I received a letter in the mail confirming the pay off. I did not receive the title. I called them up today. I was told that they sent the title to my credit union instead of me. Wow, what a big mistake. So, help me with this. All cashier checks are from banks. So, do you send all your titles out to the bank listed on the cashier check? I think not. I mailed by certified mail the check to Nissan and they dropped the ball and sent it to my credit union. Now I have to wait longer to get my title. Thanks, Nissan!
The Nissan Corporation is the worst business company I have ever faced. I could never imagined that this level of service and proficiency could be found anywhere on the planet. Breaking the privacy rules, stealing money from the customers, hidden costs and non-responsive support. I will try to put every single effort to let people know of Nissan.
I am a very unhappy customer after purchasing a New 2016 Nissan Rogue. I have a claim into Nissan Consumer Affair. My brand new vehicle is sitting at the car dealer where I purchased my car, with a loud front end knocking noise. After being a Nissan consumer with a Nissan Altima never had a problem, always paid my car payment on time, and this is how I get treated as a customer. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER.
Had key made a remote to open doors. Cost approx $250, including $60 labor. With appointment, took over 2 hours. After going home, realized remote would not open drivers door. Went back to resolve and was told there was an issue with the lock of the drivers door and would cost in excess of $500 to repair. Should have been advised this before leaving with the remote. I was advised they would refund the remote, but not the labor fee. UNHAPPY with the customer service with no satisfaction. I had to go back and spend more of my time to try to rectify a problem that should have been addressed when I left with the remote. Stefan ** told me they are currently going through lots of changes, new computers, new phones, etc. Not my problem. Take care of my situation and refund labor or meet me halfway. Sorry was his response. True, they are SORRY.
I have worst experience with my new pathfinder, it shakes very bad at slow RPM. I took it to dealership. They kept my car about a week and returned after added 160 miles on it and told me it is all done, they updated the software but guess what, it didnt work. Very next day, I had to take my car again. It is still there, no answer, no explanation. Dealership said nissan has a issue with pathfinder, then why they need to launch this vehicle.
Dec of 2018 I purchased my 8th Nissan through a local used car dealer. I purchased a 2015 Nissan Altima with 43k miles cosmetically good condition. At first I noticed it was smoking blue when I would power on the vehicle and the smell of Burnt rubber. As I normally do with all my vehicles I called Nissan to see if it had any recalls etc. and took it for service, shortly after I get low oil pressure on my dash. I then looked at the owners manual and called where I had my oil change they re serviced and did not notice any leaks etc.3/20/10 I took it to Rothrock Nissan in Allentown for diagnostics and they tell me that there is oil burning something having to do with the valves, but that I needed to bring it in again for a 3 hr diagnostics at $120 hr (of course this is out of pocket unless its approved to be covered by Nissan powertrain warranty that the vehicle still had till it reached 60k). I took my vehicle in on 3/26/19 in the morning, at this point I needed a rental to get to and from. I asked my advisor Simone and she says they dont have any and proceeds to call a major car rental co. I called throughout the week to get updates since it went from a 3 hr to a wk long diagnostics and I was told they found sludge in the oil pan therefore more than likely Nissan would deny covering under warranty as that only happens due to poor maintenance. (Really? Im being held liable for a previous owner lack of maintenance yet I have all my service receipts).I quickly called Consumer Affairs and opened a claim with them which I didnt get a call till I had already picked up my car on a Tuesday because when I went to Rothrock my car was unassembled and the tech working on it was off. Really??? Wow customer service and having me an answer by Friday of the same week, keep in mind I called the service manager Patrick twice to get updates and no return call. I literally had to show up after work to get an answer. At this point I have to keep a rental 3 more days to my expense (smh). I was told the claim had not been approved yet and I would have to wait till Monday 4/1/19. I called Monday and they stated it had been denied now the warranty was null and void. Lovely Nissan!!!!I will never purchase another Nissan needless to say, being that they do not stand by their clients, I am now $690 out of pocket between car rental and diagnostics and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to try and make up for not approving replacing the engine through the powertrain warranty. They shouldve at least covered the diagnostics then. Tuesday of that following week I get a call from Trenisha at Nissan Consumer Affairs and they didnt even know I had the vehicle in my possession nor that supposedly the claim had been denied.So now Im 10k in a car debt/payment for a car that needs a new engine, had powertrain warranty but no longer valid through Nissans decision and $690 less in my pocket. So much for staying faithful to the brand. AGAIN dont BUY USED NISSANS THAT SO CALLED ARE STILL UNDER WARRANTY AS THEY WILL LOOK FOR ANY EXCUSE TO NOT COVER. The worst part is realistically no used car dealer takes out all of the oil pans to used vehicles purchased at auctions or traded in.
I never thought I would dislike Nissan, after having purchase two cars from them in the past. But the preown side have a car salesman (Jose **) that is very unprofessional, and arrogant. The issue did not just end with me buying a car and in less than a month had to bring it back two times but the service I receive from Jose have ruined my chances of giving them another try. And when asked his manager to call he never did. Humberto **. Be careful buying from there. The cars have issue, they charge. They may want to charge you for their inspection they did before selling car, ask for that money back because the cars are taken not to Nissan if it is not a Nissan car, some to Jiffy Lube for oil change etc. The cars are not checked out properly and the only good person that helped was ERiC, the sales manager Humberto ** will not follow through. Be very careful. Buy at your own risk and ask questions on the wear and tear, get the car facts beforehand. It is not always driven by one driver. They use cars on lot as loaner cars.
I am filling this out on my mothers behalf. I am sorry I do not have more information. I can get if I pressure her to give it up. But she has been victimized by this company and is giving up because she is mentally drained. Basically, what happened is that the car broke down while on a drive across country, out of state. The part (transmission) needed to fix the car took about a month to come in. We had to rent a car to complete the trip and get home on time. The $850.00 in rental fees are not going to be reimbursed by Nissan. This car already in its short life had a muffler break apart and disintegrate. Our trusted mechanic couldnt get a new muffler because Nissan hadnt made one yet. So, he had to fabricate one. He said that he never saw anything like this! The car is only a 2007!
Nissan Sentra 2014! I had this car for 2 months now and I was driving to the pharmacy when my sunroof explodes out of nowhere. I went to Nissan and they told me this was not under the warranty, that it is impossible for it just to explode so they told me to repair this. It would be $720 dollars. This is very upsetting. Nothing hit my glass and no one has even touched it. I looked this problem up and many other have the same issue. Please save yourself the problem. Do not buy Nissan or Infinity. Worst customer service!!!!!
Great car to look at but dangerous in city driving due to transmission. Nissans transmission would have to be the worst on the market. It does not work well in city where it has to change a lot. Very dangerous at take off, motor revs a lot and you go nowhere (does not change up), seems to just slip.
I bought my 2015 Versa - not happy. They screw me with warranties and the car is just the basic. When I fought them to cancel them I still owed a lot for this car. Not worth it... so dont buy this car... Then I got hit from the back and front within 4 month of getting my car so I decided to take in the dealer collision shop here in Katy TX Mossy Nissan. I had a bad experience. They did not do a good job. Never take your car in this shop. Everything was bad. For them to be a dealer they should have better bodyman and painters. How we found out? I got hit again so they had to take the bumper off and found the bumper had glue to hold it on. What kind of ** was that so people please check the work. I will never take it in the dealer or buy another Nissan cars. And the people there are so rude. When they did the problem they dont want to talk to you, so dont go to Mossy Nissan Collision in Katy TX. They do poor quality work. They need to fire all who do ** work. And also the manager that lets these car pass, his name is Matt ** # 281 496 2200.
On March 12, 2012, I went to pickup my newly leased Nissan and found out that the plates on the lease car I was turning in could not be transferred to the new car because the registration had been canceled on 12/30/11 without my knowledge or permission. I had to pay for new plates. I called Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp (NMAC) and was told they knew nothing about my registration being canceled nor did my insurance company. After contacting RMV several times, I found out that my registration had been canceled online. They also told me that my plates had been returned. However, my plates were still on my car when I went to the dealership on March 12. How could they have been returned? I have also continued to pay my lease note and insurance on the car during the past three months without any knowledge of registration cancellation. I spoke with the assistant registrar of RMV in Massachusetts today, 3/15/12, and she told me that the IT department at RMV found that it had been canceled via email by a Loida ** from the Tax and Registration Department at NMAC on 12/30/11. This morning I called NMAC and they told me they now have a note regarding my cancellation that was posted on March 13th. However, they previously had no record and knew nothing about the cancellation and told me they have nothing to do with cancellation and to call the RMV. Now, the story has changed. I drove around for three months with a registration certificate in my car, which I didnt even know was invalid or cancelled. What if I had been in a serious accident? I am also required to pay excise taxes in Massachusetts. I received a letter from Nissan in December that they would be including it in my lease bill in the upcoming months as they usually do. I contacted the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts on 3/12/12 and found that they had not received notification to send Nissan a bill from the RMV, which indicated that something occurred like my registration being canceled. Now, I am afraid that this would happen anytime and frequently. I would then have to pay for new registration, new plates and explain and prove to RMV that it’s not me and why its being canceled. This is a major problem for me. I have contacted the governors office, Attorney General, RMV and Nissan looking for help. I need assistance.
Murano SL model 2017.5 purchased 5/8/17. Failed Forward Emergency Braking. Returned to selling dealership which insisted the computer showed no error. The dealer refused to road test the vehicle. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs. They informed me they could NOT do anything to caused the dealership to honor the warranty. They would not help me find another dealership to help me. I located another dealership who found a computer error and debris on the camera repairing the problem. The car now operates properly. Nissan claims they have no control over their dealers so if the dealer wont honor the warranty the problem falls on the purchaser. The car had less than 6000 miles when this occurred.
Purchased new Nissan Juke 2016 with CVT transmission. The transmission was bad from day one and family and passengers would notice, but I loved how the car looks. Come February 2020 and the vehicle literally stopped in the middle of the highway, very dangerous but I turned the engine off, restarted and moved to the shoulder. Took it to a dealership and was quoted $4890 for repairs. The vehicle has been sitting at Sterling McCall Nissan waiting to be repaired. I follow up every day with the service department and they claim Nissan North America has not shipped the part. I drive for Uber and for a month now I havent worked a day losing income, time and causing psychological damage. Given theres a class action on defective CVT transmission in the Nissan Juke, Nissan should do the right thing and foot the bill for my repairs. I believe Nissan sold lemon cars to consumers and are not prepared to fix the mistake.
I bought a 2014 Nissan versa note from dealership on June 9th 2014. I signed the contract and took it home that day. A week later I took in my down payment and signed another contract to reflect that. A week later I get a letter from dealership saying my loan was not approved and I needed to return the car within 48 hours. I called the finance office and was told they were working on it and would call me the next day. The next day I received a phone call saying they got my loan approved and I would have to come in and sign a new contract...which I did on June 30th. From June 30th to august 28th I was waiting for title, plates, payment info etc. from the bank. I never got those things. Instead, the dealership came out in the wee hours of the morning and took the car. Apparently because my loan was not approved. I have contacted legal counsel and will fight this.
I purchased a 2011 SL Nissan Juke a little over 2 years ago. I chose the Nissan Juke because, at the time, it seemed like the perfect balance of practicality and aesthetics for a car under 25k. About 1 year into ownership, the car began to lose its ability to retain a battery charge. Several times the car needed a jump start. I took it into the dealership, and was told the battery was faulty -- hard to believe for a car just 1-year off the lot. I changed the batter per the dealerships recommendations. At about 68,000 miles, I take in the car to get checked out because of a rattling noise coming from the engine. A diagnostic was run, and I was told that I would be looking at a $2500 repair to replace and/or repair the timing chain, which, according to the tech, I should do sometime soon. At 70,000 miles, the vehicle completely stalls out while driving and eventually decelerates to a complete stop. The car no longer started, and I had to have it towed to the dealership. Now, the Nissan dealership is telling me that I need a completely new engine because there was damage caused by the timing-chain, which end up costing nearly $10,000. Ive since then learned that there are countless other Nissan Juke owners that have had the exact same thing happen to them. Not surprisingly, a class-action lawsuit has been filed against Nissan on the exact same issue. I need information regarding becoming a part of a class-action lawsuit filed against Nissan for failure to disclose knowledge about a faulty timing-chain design, and subsequent failure to issue a necessary recall on the model to repair the defect.
I purchased a Nissan Rogue in 2014. I absolutely loved my Rogue. Until one day I was driving and the rpms revved up and then started slowing down. My husband had to come follow me home so I didnt get slammed. My Rogue only had 90,000 miles. I called Nissan and was told, Oh you are out of warranty, sorry cant help you. I lost my job and then the bank took my vehicle. It has destroyed me financially. I was told that until people die because of these bad transmissions Nissan will never do anything about it. I will never be able to buy a car again because of this. I am 58 and always had good credit until now.
I have been a heavily vested customer of the Nissan Product since 2005, being a Army veteran I have learned that many decisions are made quickly without complete information. My first Nissan that I purchased was a New NISSAN 2005 Pathfinder, my second new purchase was a New 2008 Nissan Xterra, my third New vehicle was a 2009 Nissan Sentra (this purchase was co signed with my mother Terry ** - I still drive this Nissan today with over 100K miles ) and my fourth New Vehicle is a 2014 Nissan Sentra. I provided this information so that you can confirm that I have been a committed customer of your product and the reason I have stood by the Nissan product is due to not only the reliability, dependability and low maintenance of the Vehicles but more importantly we are a family on a fixed budget like many families and having a low maintenance cost vehicle is that more important to us. We live in the great hot state of Florida the city of Orlando and having an AC unit that works properly in our vehicle is a crucial component. Our 2014 Nissan only has 34,216 miles on it - yes it is outside of the warranty for the years but the mileage average is less than 10K a year and no one would expect the AC compressor to go bad with such low mileage in a Nissan Product, my 2009 Sentra still blows cold air with over 100K mileage. Up until now I have had no issues with any of the Four Nissan Vehicle that we have purchased and its shocking to me to have a major component go bad with only 34,000 miles driven. Yesterday I paid $160.39 to have the vehicle diagnosed and confirmed to have a bad compressor by my local Nissan dealership. I believe Nissan should really stand by their product and Recommend Goodwill and replace the bad unit free of charge to me for such an unusual circumstance.
Usually I service on time at toronto dealer where I bought the car at same location. @ 32200+ KM got the engine oil replaces at sainte foy, QC (I was away with family) as advised by my dealer and 2 recalls performed. @33000+ KM came back to dealer (after my tour), asked about brake fluid flush, which is recommended by Nissan but its not done by dealer (dont know why). I gave my consent to replace if required. And for wheel rotation (which is also recommended by Nissan.)When I picked up my car, I feel there is gas pedal delay in the initial acceleration (between 800 and 1800 RPM). On minutely trying to identify, why there is an uneasiness for me to drive, the usual resistance in the gas pedal that is altered, and the pressure I usually put on the pedal has changed, and which started to get annoying. Usually I use 87 octane fuel. This time I filled 91 octane fuel, still the acceleration is identifiable. Usually I drive in ECO mode, which is sluggish. Normal is better and Sports mode is usually quite peppy.After trying all the combination, I realized this the feedback/resistance, may have been altered. Dont know how and why (forgot to mention I had also asked for bronze cleaning on the car). Dealer has failed to understand the point and they keep on telling me about sensors and error codes. What I realized after studying the matter that the sensor and codes will work nice, when the pedal recognizes the press.Concern of mine is the pressure is gas pedal stars identifying the press after a small delay (maybe we are talking about 5~7 millimeters). Why I am concerned: I have to press more gas pedal now to get to my normal driving habit for years/decades; I am quite concerned now if this pedal will have more issues to offer; Since the pedal feedback/resistance spring may have altered, it may happen, that say when in highway, it will get stuck to a position and send incorrectly send sensors of pedal being pressed even after removing feel from pedal. Now I feel little unsafe in this car. More details can be shared on request.
I bought a new 2018 Versa S plus in July. It gets good gas mileage and looks good. That’s where the good ends... The bad, The CVT transmission has an intermittent issue where it vibrates or shudders when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot find an issue. The main seal where engine meets transmission is seeping oil. The dealer refused to acknowledge it was oil (called it a liquid) and said Nissan will not cover repair unless it is dripping on the ground! Really???I’ve had my oil changed twice, both times at two different Nissan dealerships. Both times they overfilled oil. First time they pumped 5 qts into a car in which the owners manual states 3.75 qts and had to drain some out. The 2nd time they put in 4 qts and had to drain some out. The incompetence in these authorized Nissan dealerships is bewildering!I’ve had three 27 point inspection and not one mention of the oil that is leaking from main seal. The green box is checked for leaks underneath car! I will be changing my own oil going forward and saving receipts. At least I know it will be done right... I will not purchase another Nissan product based off of my experience with the brand and incompetent service centers. I will definitely be selling this car before warranty is expired.
Purchased Nissan Altima..brand new from Davidson Nissan In Watertown NY. My car overheated to the point the indicator was pegged out completely! And fluid spewed out from under the hood multiple times!! First trip to very unfriendly service department..was told could not repeat. Picked up my car and the radiator fluid was still all over the front end of my car!! Next day picked my son up at school. Car overheated to the point I was asked to move it farther away from the building for fear children could be burned from the spewing liquid. Parked in the far end of parking lot. My car was flat bedded again to Davidson Nissan in Watertown N.Y. Was told again could not repeat. Went to pick up my car, they couldnt find it. Called service manager and he told them he parked it in the back field. They brought it to me covered in dirt and yep covered in more anti freeze. This continued for weeks. I told the manager of the Davidson Nissan Watertown NY I did not want the car anymore. I asked him to buy it back. He said all he could do to make it right was an extended warranty, Nissan car mats, 2 free oil changes (I did not use) and a Nissan hat. 2 years later my car suddenly jerks going down the highway. I get off exit and car hesitated. I drove less than a mile to pizza shop. Went to leave and my car would not go forward or reverse.. Called warranty company and had my car flat bedded to Burdick Nissan in Cicero NY (Drivers Village). I was told this morning that transmission had to be completely replaced!!! What it is a 2017 are you kidding me. Yep but at least its covered by warranty. What about next time? Replacing with the same kinda transmission.... Hello..I thought Nissan was a good dependable car. I dont want this car and owe too much to trade it!! Thanks Nissan.
Nissan has known their transmissions were faulty and yet did not make the consumers aware. When our transmission had to be replaced, their response was for us to join the class action lawsuit. We paid $3500 for the replacement to Nissan and they couldnt offer to pay at least half. Only offered us lip service. We are very good car owners and usually keep our cars a long time without major repairs. Never Nissan again. We are not unique, hence the reason of the class action suit.
Route 23 AutoMall was pleasant when I purchased the lease on my Nissan Maxima, however when my lease was over and I needed to return the car, everything was different. I purchased my lease at Route 23 AutoMall in NJ and then moved to Rhode Island. However, when my lease term was over, I returned my car back to Route 23 AutoMall where I originally purchased the car. Once a customer, always a customer, think again!Route 23 AutoMall lied about willingness of returning out-of-state license plates to the DMV and instead, salesperson ** kept them in their desk drawer. This action resulted in property tax from Rhode Island for 3 months when I no longer had the car. Returning the plates to RI DMV is the only indicator to stop property tax from being generated. I am seeking $148 from dealership to cover the timeframe (June-August) where I no longer owned the car, but was being charged taxes because salesperson kept the plates in their office and had me believe they were going to mail them back to Rhode Island. I had a beautiful WORKING 2011 Nissan Sentra. But after being flooded by a hurricane I ended up getting a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The car was great until 12k. It started to have all kinds of issues and after a long back and forth, I sold the car back to Nissan. (But here is the kicker, even though the brakes were faulty on it and would wear out too fast (I was not riding them), Nissan still refused to refund me. So I had to take a huge loss and look for a new car with already negative equity). The dealership I bought my 2013 Sentra with was willing to work with me and got me into a 2014 Nissan Altima. (Of course with payments being high and this was the only deal I could get.)A month of owning the car, I get a call from Nissan saying I did not make a payment for my 2013 Sentra and the car is in jeopardy of being repo. I told the guy that I sold the car and asked why that information was not in the computer. Thinking it was an honest mistake, I called the Nissan Dealership where I bought the Altima and they said, Oh yeah we sent that in, you should be fine. 2 months of owning the Altima I get another call asking about payments on the Sentra. Then 2 days after that, I get a letter stating that I was not approved for the loan on the Altima and needed to return it. I was confused because I had already made 2 payments towards the loan on the Altima. I called corporate Nissan and asked what was going on. They stated that when I applied for the loan, I was approved but then I got disapproved. WHAT??? I stated that I already made two payments for the Altima and was wondering where that money was going. They told me Oh that is going towards your loan. I asked what loan was that. The 2013 Nissan Sentra. I could not believe that I was paying for a car that was no longer in my possession. (It was even sold at the dealership.) I immediately called the Nissan Dealership and asked what was going on. They said not to worry. We will fix it. A month later I get the same letter. Repeating last month, I finally got the whole situation resolved. I took my car into its first oil change and then the problems started occurring. The radio and back up camera stopped working after a month. I took the car in to express my concerns about the radio. They updated it and said Everything is good to go. I didnt even leave the lot and I put the car into reverse, the camera flickers green and shuts off. Then the radio reset itself and shuts down. I went back in to tell them nothing was fixed. They replied Oh we will have to order a new radio. That will take about 2 weeks. I took the car home and waited 2 weeks for the radio to arrive. Once it came in, they replaced it and I tested out, everything seemed great and I drove off. 5 hours later it stops working again. (Keep in mind this radio is brand new.) I take it back in and they hold it for a week to find out the issue. Upon returning the car to me, they told me they replaced the back up camera and the radio.I have had the car for a day and now there is a very loud clicking and rattling noise coming from the engine. THE ENGINE! Now I am not a mechanic but I am pretty sure you do not need to access the engine when replacing a backup camera and a radio. I called the dealership where it was for the past week and there was no answer. (I called 5 times.) Then I tried a different Nissan dealership and was told, Well we dont want to touch what they have done and would need copies of all the paperwork. Also if we were to move forward, we would have to call that dealership to get permission from them to work on the car. WHAT?! Last I checked I am paying the monthly payments on my car, not the dealership. I tried contacting Nissan consumer affairs and they tell me Take it to your local dealer. It is my dealer that has caused this mess. I cant take it to a different dealership because they want permission, I cant get a hold of anyone from my current dealership, and I am stuck with this car because of the negative equity. This is my last Nissan. Their mechanics are terrible and their whole business is shady. I am done.
I first contacted NMAC on Feb 24th, 2014 about a deferral for my loan of my 2013 Nissan Sentra SR because I lost my job. My account # **. I was given a 2 month deferral on my loan that day. The original rep I spoke with said that I needed to sign a document and send it back for their records. I was asked to send the document back before March 4th or my account would be late and I would be assessed a late fee, which I had agreed to. I called back on the Feb 28th because I hadnt received the document yet and it was getting close to the deadline of the account being late and I didnt want to get a late fee. The rep I spoke to on the 28th said the document was sent on the 26th and I should receive it any day. I was also was told the whole process would take 2 days. The rep I spoke with said he was waiving the late fee because of this delay. I asked if the document could be faxed over to me to expedite the process. I was told an original signature was needed so I couldnt get it faxed. Finally on the 6th when I still hadnt received the paperwork, I asked again if the letter could be faxed. At that time I was given a fax number and was told a late fee would be assessed. When I told the rep on the 6th that my late fee was supposed to be waived, she told me the paperwork I was signing specifies I would be responsible for any late fees. I signed the paperwork and faxed it back and also mailed it on the 7th. Im writing this today because I just received the document on March 8th and the envelope was post marked March 3rd which means it wasnt sent out on the 26th like I was told and I was going to be late anyway because of the 2 days it was going to take to process and now there is a late of $22.00. I am requested the late fee be taken off the account effective immediately due to the lack of urgency on the part of NMAC. I am very disappointed with service I have received.
My car has been at Nissan for about 3 weeks and still nothing but additional charges being added from the battery to the Transmission. Also was told basically my headlight issue will never be fixed because they want to charge 2k for lights and thats not included the 1200 they already want to charge me!! It really makes no sense. I will find additional forums to complain on until Nissan understands my frustration and stop trying to charge me for the labor to fix something that should not be broken.
Theyre aware of the issues with the 06 Nissan Altima and they didnt send out notification. Its stressful patching something that they know about. How dare they put our lives in danger and our children and now theyre giving me a hard time. Shame. Shame. Shame on them. This car has put my child 95 around big trucks.
We bought a Qashqai late last year with 68 registration and for the second time in short space of time, my car refuses to start this morning. I was told by RAC man the last time that there was a fault in the car - something was draining the battery. I took the car to Nissan garage afterward for diagnostics and fixture, after which I was assured that the problem had been fixed. To my amazement, my car refuses to start this morning and We had the same problem with our previous Nissan Juke. I will never buy a Nissan car again!
I have bought a used, which had 84 months warranty battery and still 5 more years left. I took my car to Nissan service center, Studio City, CA. They told me without the receipt they cant take it under warranty. How horrible this is. This is ridiculous with Nissan and they charged me $160 but outside the battery is just $75. Go hell Nissan, Studio City.
I have an 11 month old daughter, who rides in a car seat. I rented the Altima. So, I placed the base of her car seat in the rear seat of the car. Put her in her car seat and locked her in as always. By the time we went 30 miles, her car seat was almost on its side. The belts do not lock the base in place. My concern is for any parent with small kids in car seats. Please look into this problem. I am taking the Altima back today.
I had horrible experience with Nissan Dealers in Atlanta, First of all, Their treatment is Lowest & never bothered about customer views. Sat down for 3/4 Hours & they even did not offer water. At least they asked us to sit. The second thing is about pricing. Over the phone, they told us that price for leasing the Nissan Leaf S model with Quick charge about $260 per month without VPP. After talking to them, they told us that price gone up to $363 per month. They wasted our complete Saturday with precious time for us since schools are opening on Monday. I want some senior officials from Nissan USA to look into this matter. You cannot cheat customers like this. I decided I will never buy/Lease any Nissan car in Future.
I recently signed financing papers for a 2011 Nissan Cube at Girard Nissan. 425 Gold Star Hwy. Groton CT USA. Monday 6/22/15 I just happened to be driving by the dealership when I decided to see what they had in stock. I checked online to see what the reviews were. Whilst in the parking lot, they seemed ok. So I decided to check the items they had in stock. I noticed an older gentleman walking out the door to approach me. He introduced himself as **. He brought me in to the showroom before I even had a chance to look at any vehicles on the lot. He asked what kind of payment I was looking for. I explained what payment I could do. I also told him I would prefer to put $0 down. But could put $500 down if absolutely necessary. Three hours after I gave them the down payment, 3 hours of sitting and waiting in the waiting room, chasing my children around, they stated that they needed $200 more. Flash forward to today 6/26/15 when I went to the dealership to give them back the vehicle because I was refusing to keep it on the terms that they did not follow through with implied warranty and implied quality of the vehicle. When I asked the sales manager ** why did you have me sit around for 4 hours the first day was here? The manager told me that the credit union was not open so they had to wait until the following day. My initial thought was if the credit union wasnt open, how would they have known that they needed another $200 to secure the financing? Seems a bit shady, but whats even more shady ** showed me my credit score, to assert the point that he had to work to get the financing, only to see the real credit score on the financing application was 40 points higher than the one he showed me just minutes earlier to convince me that I was not going to be able to secure financing elsewhere. I kept both reports to confirm this.Before I ever signed to purchase the vehicle on 6/23/15 the dealership had me take the car home, stating that they were going to work on getting a better financing rate. But to get to the point where I was sent home with the car, I waited 4 hours for them to work on the financing whilst my 2 children were running a muck through out the dealership. This seemed to be a tactic to stress me out to the point where I would just sign the papers without reading them just to get out of there. Luckily my husband was here to help with the children, but it was undoubtedly a very stressful time indeed.I took the car home 6/22/15 and drove it down the highway and notices something very strange about how the transmission was shifting. When going down a steep hill, the engine would rev at 3000. When going approximate 55 mph the car would not shift and would start to redline so I decided to bring it to be checked out. My friend who is a mechanic explained to me that the transmission was slipping. It wouldnt shift into a higher gear when driving down the highway and would rev at six grand until the accelerator pedal was released and furthermore the car would also raise the idol on declining ground. He explained that these are the first symptoms of a transmission issue.When I went back to the dealership the next day 6/23/15 my spouse was unable to go with me because he was working, which was disheartening for me because he is the one who deals with all of the finances in the household. But the men at the dealership insisted that I come back at this time, on this day, as soon as I got out of work, knowing I would be alone to sign the papers. I explained to the people at the dealership that I was not satisfied with the vehicle at all. I told them explicitly that I didnt want the vehicle. I cited the following reasons as to why I didnt want the vehicle. First there was a severe smoke smell in the car. I told them that the smell made me sick. I am currently fighting a sinus issue due to this. I explained that I wanted a vehicle history report and they wouldnt give me one. I also explained that my mechanic told me that the transmission isnt working properly. ** the manager stated that they could do an extended warranty on it. He didnt introduce himself but he did offer a warranty to me. I explained that I still didnt want the vehicle. Another salesman stated that he would take the vehicle out for a ride to check it out. This man was in his early 30s had a small build. So when he returned from the test drive he confirmed that the idle was odd whilst going down a hill. This man stated that this was normal for a cvt transmission. He didnt check it on a highway to witness the lack of shifting, but he was only a sales person. I cant see how a sales person would have known more than a mechanic but anyhow. The sales manager ** explained that he worked really hard to get me the loan, and that I wouldnt have gotten a loan if he didnt do that work, and also explained if I didnt get a car from them I wouldnt get financing. I asked him what kind of interest rate he got and he said, what does it matter!? And refused to tell me, I kept it within the price range you asked for. He made it seem like I owed him for doing that work. I felt backed into a corner at this point. This is where he hands me the modified credit score, which was 40 points lower than the one on the financing application. I told the staff that there were vehicles posted for sale online through other dealerships with far lower miles, at the same price. This is false advertisement.The sales manager ** explained that he could sell me a different vehicle, but explained that it would cost me more, and I would have to wait another day to see if the financing would come through. He was rushing me along and explained that because of my credit I wouldnt be able to get financing anywhere else. He stated that he could offer me a 2012 leaf at 13000. I explained that if I was going to purchase a different vehicle I wanted to do some research. He wasnt having that he continued rushing me. The dealership was about to close. I later looked the leaf up on their website and noticed that it was listed for 11000, after the fact this really made me worry about the integrity of the men I was dealing with.I didnt want to purchase the cube with the mileage on the vehicle. I felt forced to sign the papers. The men at the dealership knew I didnt have a ride home otherwise. Since my husband wasnt there, the staff at Girard Nissan knew this, and took advantage of me. While I was in doing the paperwork, ** explained that I couldnt not have the all inclusive warranty but could only get the one that covered certain parts. Not only that but he informed me that they would not throw it in as the manager had originally mentioned, but I would have to pay $1599 for it. They told me to come back Friday for the registration and plates for the vehicle. I called Girard Nissan Wednesday. No one returned my call. I called Thursday multiple times finally the sales manager ** called me back around 6pm. He fought with me over the phone about the car, and explained that I should just come in Friday to go over the situation.On 6/26/15 I went to the dealership explained my extreme dissatisfaction to the sales manager **, but he explained to me that the vehicle was mine now, so I would have to take it up with the bank. I explained that I would speak to a lawyer to see what my rights were. He boastingly said go again you better get two of them, and explained that I would not accept the vehicle and left the keys on the counter. Is there anything that can be done about this? I signed the papers on Wednesday evening, and the sales manager tells me the vehicle is my problem now.
DONT BUY NISSAN SENTRA - I say sentra because thats what I own. Purchased a 2013 sentra and the car haven been back to the dealer more than I have been to the doctor during the same period. Too many problems. As of Aug 16th 2016 less than 34,000K miles: Oil leak steering rack, CVT slips and poor acceleration, Brake noise, Shock replaced below 20k miles, Air bag light - countless, Dead battery - replaced 3 times in 3 years - I tired of telling dealer its not the battery. Stupid! Smelly AC - Like dead animal, Rear bumper color changed... parked in garage all the time... sun isnt a factor. Work from home. DONT BUY.On the issue of dead battery... well I went to two funerals out of the country in July and Sept 2014. Gone for 3-4 days each time. Arrive well guess what? Car didnt start.. In October of the same year went on a cruise Friday got back Monday... wont start. August 12th 2016 went to get an oil change. Got out of the car at the dealer, give the key to the guy at the desk. Ten minutes later he walks inside... Sir do you have a set of keys on you? NO...I just give it to you I repiled. Rep. replied.. The car wont start.Okay... they jumped it... which it started. Did battery test etc... said all is good. Saturday morning it started... just wanted to check. Wife and I decided to go for dinner selected a place... one hour drive away from home. Not just for the food okay - for the drive and spend time together. Well after we got dressed around 6pm ready to go... car wont start. Ok I got a jump and off we go. After 11pm we decide to head home, got to the parking lot car wont start. Finally close to midnight someone give us a jump.. it started and we left for home. Got home without any issues.Next morning 9am sunday... well not even a jump could help it... it was DEAD but I must say it was trying to turn over but it couldnt get there. Lights started flashing, beeping etc... like Christmas. Finally after trying well there wasnt any juice left. I GIVE UP... THERE GOES MY SUNDAY. Called Nissan Monday morning. Customer service said they wont get it towed. I had to pay out of my pocket... that did it. I let loose on the rep. but after apologized to her not her fault... but I was pissed. I told her let a manger called me. They said 24hrs. So 2 days wait... now I used my AAA and towed the vehicle. Battery changed again. Car is running for now. Today I missed the mgr call. I returned the call and left a message....
Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one star as there is no Zero that I can provide as a rating. Purchased three Nissan Vehicles from our local dealership. 1st was a 2012 Frontier (SL). Fully certified with less than 6,000 miles in 2015. The following issue came to light AFTER I purchased the truck. Both front and rear bumpers had to be replaced due to damage from the sale person who we found out drove the truck to pull his boat. He off set the bumpers and caused the braces to be pulled down causing the bumpers to pull away from the frame. The brakes were replaced twice at a cost of $680 each time. The initial brake repair was not proper repaired as the dealership used third party parts. Actually told me that and then claim they were Nissan parts - but had faults. Cost me two brake jobs and complete bumper replacements and the story is just starting. When I felt unsafe in the vehicle I was going to sell it back to Nissan. That is when the adjuster informed me that the right side fender has been damaged and repaired. Also the front glass had been replace incorrectly. None of this was on the CARFAX, nor reported to me at the time of sale. Now my wife has a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle has portions of the front bumper pulling away from the body. The dealership informed me that my wife must have hit a parking block and dragged the frame over the block which has caused damage to the underside of the car. My wife may drive her car less than 3000 a year and SHE did it. No I think when they were preparing the car was sell they hit the lifting rack and caused the damage. The foot lift door doesnt work. No problem the dealership will tell you as they really never work correctly. NICE!I have a 2015 Frontier from the same dealership. I just purchased the vehicle less than one month ago as I need to have a truck. Stupid me - thinking that everything would go well. Fooled me again! Yesterday the truck would not start leaving me well out of my local area. When we tried to replace the battery I found that wires and the battery were so corroded that it needed to replace the wiring and the battery. That was a great cost of funds. What does the 100 point inspect include? So I have been a fool for the third times. This is my fault. But I want everyone to know that you need to find a solid dealership that respect you and values your business.
Nissan received full payoff amount of my Rogue. It was sent express mail and received on May 3rd, 2012. Nissan lost my check and, as a result, I made 8 calls regarding this matter to no avail. Each time I explained the situation and, each time, I was told the matter would be handled and I would be called. Finally, after no calls from Nissan regarding the $21,314.57 lost check, I called on June 28th to no satisfaction and to be told I would have to pay a fee. This was certainly very irritating and very poor customer service. This was all unnecessary and the matter should have been handled properly by one individual.
I purchased a 2008 Nissan Rogue in March 2009 with only 9700 miles on it. Within 45 days of purchase, the vehicle needed a CVT replacement. Over the years I continued to experience various issues with the vehicle and found myself visiting the dealership every three months or less. The CVT failed again in April 2014. I was covered by the extended warranty (120,000 mile/10 year) with only 118K on the vehicle. Unfortunately, two years and 15K miles later, the CVT installed in 2014 has also failed and the vehicle needs a third replacement. Nissan said the CVT is covered by a one year/12K mile warranty. Despite knowing the part is defective, Nissan is not stepping up to assist with this most recent failure, not even offering a discount on the service or part to help offset the cost of their faulty part. On top of the poor quality of these CVTs, Nissans customer service is a huge failure. Their consumer affairs representatives do not communicate and then completely blow you off once they have decided to deny your request for assistance or coverage on the faulty part (clearly they do not understand part of their jobs as customer service representatives is providing results and sometimes bad news to customer, not just ignoring them). Nissan closed my case without ever speaking to me regarding the final results of the investigation. I have approached the local dealership directly in an effort to receive a quote for this repair and have been waiting two days for a service rep to call me back with the estimate despite follow calls to inquire on the situation. Nissan has failed on both quality and service.
Extremely poor customer service from Nissan UK after reporting numerous faults on my new car (Nissan Note). The local dealer has done their best with no support from the manufacturer. The car has the following problems - front wings have been changed after painting. Windscreen trims loose and fell off. Drive belt replaced due to slipping. Front window trims NS/OS not fitting. Front NS seat base cover keeps coming off. Water leaks into rear OS footwell caused by two seam welds being missed in manufacturing a damaged air vent and dented body panel. Air conditioning pump leaking and no gas but very noisy. I would definitely recommend staying clear of a new Nissan of any type.
Bought 4 years ago. Always maintained. Engines light comes on at 115k and it turns out that the CVT is to blame. Now Im discovering that its very common for these transmissions to only last 100k miles. Its super expensive to replace. After more research it seems to be more of a ($4k) consumable part instead of something you could trust to last for the life of the car. This would be okay, only if the repair cost wasnt going to effectively total the car. And totaled because no one wants to buy a car that is unreliable. The resale value is so low because of these problems? When called, Nissan offered no assistance and was very tight-lipped about this being anything but a rare occurrence. This is definitely a steep drop from the reliability standard I thought Nissan had. Never again?
I have been a proud Nissan owner for the past 15 years. Never had any complaints until now. I am an owner of a 2011 Nissan Cube krom edition. No issues at all with my car until today: transmission failure. $4000 to fix it??? And this is after discounts. This is a ripoff. No extended warranty provided for my car because you claim it should work fine. What can I do? Well of course pay you the money since I have no choice. It is sad to say but you will lose a long time customer. I will be sharing my displeasure in social media as well. Thank you Nissan for all these wonderful years, until the transmission fails, then you rip us off.
If I could rate Nissan a 0 I would. All around terrible service from the advisors up to management. Brought my vehicle into Pine Belt Nissan of Tomsriver NJ. I had what I believed to be a stress crack across my windshield. The advisor along with the service manager both looked at it, and clearly said they could NOT find any point of impact, obviously with that being said it would be a factory defect. They sent all my info along with photos to Nissan corporate. Who I went back and forth with to have it covered since the glass had NOT been hit. Anyway it had been denied all across the board. Not a single person could provide an explanation on why the glass broke, of course they only work there but know NOTHING. I even asked them if they could Pay half the cost. Again was told NO. I would of happily taken aftermarket glass didnt have to come from the factory. Im guessing Nissan knows nothing of “goodwill”. Customer service is TERRIBLE! They cant even do the right thing for their customers, they would much rather lose them instead. Nissan is pathetic. I would never ever lease or purchase anything from this awful awful company again! Everyone else tell your friends and family! All they could come up with was, Sorry car is not in warranty, spare me Nissan. I will never serve my car in any Nissan service center again. Nissan does not do the right thing and thats the bottom line! Poor product and terrible employees.
I have 2007 Altima and at 75k miles the transmission went out. Nissan gave a courtesy warranty extensions for Nissan Altima due to the fact they knew their CVT transmission were crap. I took my car to Torre Nissan in La Quinta Ca where they replaced the transmission because of the warranty. 56k miles later the transmission went out again. This time I called consumer affairs Nissan and dealt with an extremely rude Bernice. Basically when I called them out on faulty products she turned it on me. That I should have gotten my oil changes with Nissan to prevent this. Well, I got my oil changes done at a licensed mechanic shop and oil changes have nothing to do with my transmission. Ok so I took my car to a different dealership. I explained to them this will be the 3rd transmission. The guy told me they will inspect the car and look into finding out why the transmission keeps going out. I received a call 3 hours later letting me know it was indeed the transmission (ouch $3300) but they were able to locate the recurring problem. The transmission was overheating as the cooling system wasnt suffice, basically faulty design. This was something they have been seeing for sometime now. They suggested adding an additional cooling component as they have seen nothing but success by doing this. No more overheating from what they have experienced. Ok so an additional $387 to extend the life of this transmission. So naturally I contact Nissan consumer affairs to report the new findings as had the lasts dealership looked into it. We could have fixed it then to prevent this costly repair. Well once again I got a big screw you from Nissan and the same repeated answer, Unfortunately Nissan will not be able to provide financial assistance on out of warranty repairs. No matter what I said Erick repeated that same statement. So I am screwed because one of their dealerships didnt do their job and look into what caused the transmission failure because it was under warranty. So as a consumer I get screwed. But at first their excuse was I didnt get services at Nissan and now once I provide them with the information that I got the transmission through their dealership it is cause I am 16k over the extended warranty. All I was asking for was a little help. Screw Nissan and I will NEVER buy Nissan again.
The dash in my 2008 Altima is melting. The melted dash causes a glare when I drive and may have resulted in my recent accident.
Had my car a year (Altima 2016 used) and it’s out of warranty. When purchasing the car I asked for an extended warranty and the finance manager declined me stating that I was not in a position to receive the extended warranty that I was lucky that I was even approved for the car. I had to beg for GAP and he made me pay for my GAP cash upfront $500. Also when I called my finance company to see if they had additional options they stated that those instruction about extended warranty was not true that they would have went through another company not them. At that point I did not understand why the finance manager had me lie to the finance company about the type of car I was receiving if I would not be covered. Basically I was taken advantage of and it worked on their end because now I am screwed out of a car unless I come up with the funds to fix the issue. Nissan said it’s nothing they can do, You have to buy a $3500 transmission. I do not know much about repair to cars but my car is calling for a sensor and Im not sure why my sensors cannot be replaced vs the entire transmission!Call Consumer Affairs and they had an attitude. Told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. I will be taking this to the next level. My voice will be heard and something will be done. I would have never spent my money with them knowing I would have to deal with such poor service and attitude! Please do not put yourself in my situation stay away from Nissans (CVT) they are NO GOOD! Terrible customer service and they will do NOTHING to help you.
The car in my possession was sold to me by Anna ** with account number ** and contract date of 3/6/2010. The vehicle is a 2010 Nissan Titan VIN number **, which legally she cannot sell because Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation have not authorized her. As I tried to explain, they refused because we are not on contract and they refused to talk to me.My civil rights were violated. Nissan Acceptance Corp improperly repossessed my vehicle. It is a fraudulent charge for Nissan Motor Company along with Ana **. I have all statements and paper work showing payments and checked statements. They are showing no payment history today. Me, my wife and children are without transportation and also money that I have receipts for.
I have tried to open an online account to make lease payment 3 times. Every time, there is some issue. This time they wanted my account number. I dont walk around with my account number, and the letter they sent, has a lease number, which I guess, is not the same. When I called the cust. service number, I was put on hold so long, I finally hung up. In any event, you can bet your life that they would not of given me acct. number over the phone anyway. I like my new car, but being in cust. service myself, I find it laughable that I cannot find good cust. service anywhere. Based on these three call, which took up 3 lunch hours to try and complete, I WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER NISSAN, NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM EITHER... LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE SALE... Typical!!!
Never in my life will I return to this dealership (Power Nissan at South Bay) and I advise to be very careful when dealing with the people here. I came into the dealership requesting a Lease Buyout Packet which I was instructed to get from Nissan USA after calling over the phone. So I come in and I was told to wait for **. I waited over 1 hour to only be rushed out of his office, and after declining extended warranty, he literally threw me the purchase order. I couldnt believe the service this man was providing my father and I. I took the purchase order to my credit union to finalize the loan being that I didnt like the customer service given to me there at the dealership. The credit union mailed Power Nissan South Bay the check. I figured we were done and the loan was paid off. Well I was wrong. The same rude unprofessional man by the name of ** called my father and basically threatened him with returning the check back to the credit union if he didnt go in the dealership right there and then to sign the paper work for the extended warranty. My father told him “I don’t speak English.” He then told my father “You’re in America, not Mexico.” My dad couldnt believe his ears. He then called me to tell me what was going on. I then called Power Nissan and requested to speak to ** and then it all went down. This man began to yell and curse me out after I questioned him for harassing my father. He stated that we better go in there ASAP or else. I then asked to speak to his manager and he stated “I am the manager. I’m the senior manager and I don’t have time for you. Go somewhere else” and hung up on me. I called him back and told him Id be coming to pick up the check. He then said “Don’t bother its been destroyed.” So now my question is what’s going to happen to my loan. And where did all this come from. Never in my life have I seen or dealt with such an animal. Yes animal, he is not human. A human doesnt treat others this way. I am so disappointed and don’t even want my 2 Nissan vehicles anymore. I will never ever purchase or support a Nissan dealer after this horrific experience. I have reported this incident to Yelp, BBB, Nissan Corporate I want this to be known. You do not have the right to treat customers this way. I don’t know if this was an act of racism or if this man is just plain evil. Just because we are Mexican/Hispanic doesnt give you the right to treat us any less. The manager of Power South Bay is a total jerk - the rudest, meanest, ugliest person Ive ever met. Hope God forgives you.
My 2007 Altima hybrid died now several times without warning, had to tow it to this dealer because they are the only one who can apparently do the diagnostic. So they charge hundreds of $$ to find out that there is a blown fuse, which they replaced, but it blows again. Solution? Change all four engine coils, because this is what causes it. Why? Do not know, but they can try to find out if I agree to pay $160 an hour to investigate some more. Yes, this happens second time on a VERY low mileage vehicle, and yes it is a common problem with Altima Hybrids, but there is not much they can do. And no, they will not call Nissan on your behalf but I definitely should - they even give me a number. So I pay (again) a $1000 dollars for a trivial and premature repair, which should have never happened, and not knowing what causes it.I called Nissan, and after several days of phone calls and interviews, I was they do not see any problem because the car is not under warranty. Really? Privately, all mechanics know that there is a problem, and clearly there is something wrong with the vehicle. And yet not only Nissan refuses to stand behind their product, but they penalize the customers over and over again by making to pay them excessive and unreasonable cost to diagnose a known problem? I guess no more Nissans in my future and I will have to switch cars asap, because I simply cannot afford such an unreliable and unpredictable vehicle. I was lucky it happened when I was only 5 miles away from a dealership. What if you are on a trip? Stay away from Nissans. Oh, they are very very polite.
Like everyone elses bad experience mine is no different. There is documented evidence that Nissans have a design flaw with the transmission that is very expensive to repair and is dangerous to the consumer because there is no warning and the radiator, coolant fluid and transmission fails causing internal problems. I have a 2006 Pathfinder and had always maintained my vehicle at the Nissan dealership, which is documented. I was driving 3 hours from home when check engine light came on. I continued to drive to the next available Nissan dealership where my vehicle, when acceleration became difficult and the vehicle, simply stopped and began smoking. They told me it would cost $8600 to fix. The value of the car was, before this was $7500. I was forced to rent a car in order to get home. I contacted Nissan Consumer Complaint and was given a complaint claim number and thought something would be done... Nothing. The claim representative just told me he was sorry but they could not help me. His response was scripted. How can these people get away with putting peoples lives in danger? I contacted the Manager of the service Department where my vehicle is currently located. He returned my car and indicated that the cause of my vehicle failing was due to the radiator, coolant fluids, and transmission failing. I plan on filing a lawsuit because this is insane for a dealership not to make a consumer aware of a major problem like this.
Nissan Finance has been difficult and cumbersome from the very beginning. Currently, I am dealing with paying off my loan. I paid through their bill matrix system. I never received confirmation of my payment. When I phoned them, they informed me that it will take 60 days for them to process my pick slip. The customer service department did nothing to resolve my concern and seemed rather aloof. Thus, I will not be able to sell my car for another 2 months.
Very reliable but has an occasional issue. I think that the Nissan performs well. There is an issue with the aux input. Plus there are times when the radio display goes blank when on. I thought that it would have better gas mileage as well. Overall Im very pleased.
Ive been dealing with the same issue for over a year and a half. Every time I call to see if they have fixed the problem (after they have told me it will be fixed), they havent. I dont understand how a business can run without doing their job. Ive called at least 15 times and have been told every time it will be fixed. Ive even asked for a call back every time; not once have I gotten one back. After a year and a half, NMAC has impacted my credit score. I planned to purchase a home in September 2013 but will not be able to. My quality of life has been diminished severely due to this issue. I have lost sleep thinking about what NMAC has done to my credit and how I will have to pay for NMACs fault for years to come. I can honestly say I have never thought a car purchase would negatively impact my life like this. I can only imagine how many customers Nissan is losing due to NMAC.
I purchased a new van from Nissan. Immediately after it was purchased, the fan fell off and the car stalled. Unbelievable but very true. Now, Nissan will NOT answer my calls. I tried contacting the dealership in Colorado Springs, multiple times and to no avail, they did not return my calls. I am from Miami and cannot travel to Colorado just to get in touch with Nissan. I dont know what else to do. A representative was supposed to call me back and NEVER did. Its been over 2 weeks now. I expect a representative from Nissan to contact me immediately to resolve this matter. Otherwise, I will continue to leave reviews on every possible site until someone from corporate contacts me to resolve this. This is the MOST unprofessional experience from any company in the world. I am so glad I googled Nissan Finance complaints. I am sorry for your experiences but I dont feel so alone now in dealing with the nightmare that is NMAC. Their zero star online payment processing has created payment reversals when there should never have been one, and me not catching the payments not going through. I love (not) their disclaimer that a confirmation number really, really isnt. Whats the point of it then especially after paying online payment processing fee?The final straw has been once again setting up automatic withdrawal, with email notification all was successful, only to find nothing drawn out of account and a late charge applied. I was totally perplexed. I finally figured out why. Going into the bank information, I found a totally different routing number! They refuse to acknowledge it or credit two late payments because of it. Well, Nissan, guess what? I didnt make that second payment because Id rather go trade the car in, taking yet another hit because of previous over 30 notices you wrongfully put on my credit report, and give the money to another car manufacturer, because this is definitely the last time NMAC gets my business!
After exchanging my leased 2005 Nissan Altima for a new leased 2009 Nissan Altima, I was billed over $2,000 for excess damage. After reviewing the inspection report (inspection done by a third party company, without my review or given the chance to correct damages before turning the vehicle), I wrote a letter of dispute to NMAC and sent it registered mail and submitted payment in full for the items I agreed to. NMAC did not respond in writing or by phone to my letter of dispute. After a few months, I began to receive collection letters from an outside collection firm. Again I sent a letter of dispute to NMAC and sent a copy of the dispute for the file to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion credit bureaus. After a few more months I began to notice the adverse credit notations regarding this transaction with each credit bureau report.Once again I requested in a letter to NMAC that they respond to my original dispute and remove the adverse credit information from each credit bureau. After two years, I finally received a response. A demand for payment of the disputed amount and a comment that they viewed my original dispute as frivolous and without merit. After over three years, this adverse credit mark is still showing up and impacting my credit score negatively. I bought out my lease on my current Altima and will never again buy a Nissan product. I also go to great lengths to tell all of my friends and acquaintances to beware of doing business with Nissan and especially NMAC. Nissan may feel that they have won a battle with me for approximately $1,700.00, but I will try to hurt their sales as much as possible through my negative comments to friends and acquaintances. While in graduate business school, I learned that on average, consumers who have good experience with a company share it with one other person. Those who have a bad experience share it with an average of eleven other people. Im beating the average.
I am trying to obtain the necessary form to transfer my lease. My original request was placed on July 19. I was told the form would be faxed and/or mailed to me. Several phone calls inquiring about the whereabouts of the document have produced only excuses and no results. My last three vehicles have been Nissan products but I can assure you, based on this experience, it will be my last. May I have the courtesy of a solution to this problem.
I bought this 2009 Nissan Rogue in 2012. One year later nothing but problem. I pay 17k for this lousy car. I will never buy a Nissan car again. Every time I go for a oil change, they find a problem. Now I need a front lower arm bushing splitting??? Couple of month after I bought the car I needing brakes, check engine light was on. It was a problem with the gas cap. Say I need to change my transmission fluid. I spend close to 2k more on this car. I will never buy a Nissan car from a Nissan dealership. Beware of used car from Nissan dealership. I believe they didnt do a good inspection on their used car which was certified car..... sign (got taken).
I recently traded in my 2012 Nissan Versa for a 2015 Nissan Versa Note with the Woodfield Nissan dealership in Schaumburg, IL. There was a promotion being run in the Spring wherein Nissan was paying a few months worth of monthly lease payments if satisfied customers were willing to buy or lease another Nissan from the company. I went to the dealership and drove off in my new car. I asked MULTIPLE TIMES, when I traded in my vehicle, if they needed to inspect the car before accepting it in order to properly negotiate my new price/payment. I was repeatedly told that either it didnt matter or that there was nothing to worry about. There was no further explanation given. I am on my 3rd consecutive Nissan (1st Nissan was purchased used, then 2nd and 3rd were leased new) and my husband also has a Nissan Altima. We have never missed, nor have either of us been late, on one payment. NOT ONE. When my credit was run at the dealership, it came back in the top 12% of everyone in the country. 4 months after leaving the dealership, I received a bill from Vital Recovery Services, apparently the go-to creditors for Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp in the amount of $200-$250. I called Vital Recovery Services and was informed that there was Excessive Damage to my previous lease. I had not received any notice of this debt prior to the letter from Vital Recovery Services. This was the 1st letter I received from Vital Recovery Services. I offered to pay the debt immediately, before even investigating, if (and only if) my failure to pay immediately would cause harm to my credit history and/or credit report. I was told, by two different customer service specialists with Vital Recovery Services, that I would NOT have this debt reported to any credit agencies. After further research, apparently all leases are inspected by an outside company (meaning that the individual dealerships dont have any part in the decision-making process in regards to the condition of the leases turned in). They have a $500 credit for damages that they give to each customer turning in a lease, and I had somehow exceeded this amount by more than $200 (amounting to more than $700 in damages). Now, my MAIN GOAL of my new lease was to get a monthly payment below $200 (which I was able to obtain). So, it stands to reason that a bill for over $200 would cause me distress. But, I am in the process of buying my 1st home so I paid the bill just to remove any chance of having a negative mark on my credit report. I was told that I wouldnt from Vital Recovery Services and thought that would take care of the problem. Even though I searched online and found hundreds and hundreds of dissatisfied customers who were in the same situation of owing Nissan (and by proxy, Vital Recovery Services) hundreds of dollars for unspecified (and according to everyone we spoke to, undocumented, or at least we were not given any detailed information on the documented damages), I still just paid the $200 - $250 debt so that I wouldnt have issues with obtaining the best possible mortgage rate. But, when my mortgage broker/bank put together my mortgage I had to write a detailed explanation of why I had an outstanding/negative mark from Nissan/Vital Recovery on my Credit History Report. Its bad enough that my husband and I, in our early and mid-thirties, have vowed NEVER to purchase a Nissan again in our lives (as I stated above, we already have owned or leased 4 in the past 5 years between the 2 of us), but paying them off without too much of an argument after my first received collection letter STILL didnt remove the ONLY negative mark on my credit report. Typing this very long review of Nissan is fueled by anger, as is the complaints I filed with the BBB against Vital Recovery, Nissan Motors, and Woodfield Nissan. On top of that, our new Versa Note is making some loud noises and I am so livid. Im dreading the day I have to bring the car into the dealership to get it fixed. Hopefully that goes smoothly but I will amend this review as warranted.
I own a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder LE& a 2009 Sentra FE both with transmission issues, the Pathfinder was not a part of a recall with the radiator that did the transmission cooling as well as engine cooling. Radiator developed a crack between the coolant and ATF CHAMBER AND THE FLUIDS MIXED, my car was running perfectly until this happened, then the transmission started to slip. When I went to Nissan they said my vehicle vin was not apart of the recall so I would not receive a warranty extension/replacement or reimbursement to the tune of $6,000 + if I repaired it myself. I spent over $36,000 on the purchase of the SUV brand new 0 miles except for the few I put on it in a test drive. Needless to say this is not an isolated issue, the web is full of complaints like this with Nissans faulty radiator. Now my poor car just sits, I still maintain her, changing the oil, air in tires starting her, wash her, I paid off the car so its just a waste. Then comes 2009. I still have confidence in Nissan even though they screwed me and 4 of my other extended family members with the same issue with their Frontier, Xterra, Armada, and Quests. We have always been a Datsun, Nissan loyalist but after my current issue with a 2009 Sentra with a CVT transmission issue. Im over Nissan and so are my family members. We have as a family given Nissan close to half a million dollars in vehicles that cant even last 10 years. We are all switching to Honda/ Toyota/Subaru, from now on, shame, I was looking at the gtr too. Nissan can take their failed business and product and shove it. Im tired of Japanese companies adopting failed American business practices, no loyalty to the customer/consumer anymore after they have our money. Everytime I see a Nissan I warn the driver of the radiator issue. I have found with one random person I was able to see the oil mixing already when he checked his radiator reservoir with me there because he was confident I was crazy, when he saw his radiator reservoir had oil he thanked me and said he was going to the dealership to get the radiator replaced before its too late. I felt accomplished but pissed because had I known I would have had the radiator replaced, recall or not, if your radiator does your atf cooling I recommend getting an external separate ATF cooler regardless if its an issue or not. I have recently purchased a Subaru and looking to purchase a Honda this weekend, Subaru understood my issue and offered to put in a separate atf cooler with the purchase. I will be asking Honda to do the same. Per Subaru, most manufactures are going that route by having a combined radiator. But I will no longer go this route with any other future purchases, Ill have them separate the cooling or not purchase.
I leased a Nissan Altima in 2006 and made all lease payments until the lease expired. The dealer that originally took the lease went out of business. I was told to continue payments and complied. In 2012 I was told that the payoff was $3,000. I continued to make the payments until that amount and more was reached. I have now been told that I still have to make the payments even though the total payoff has been made. All I want is my title so that the vehicle can be sold. Tonight I find myself online drafting a lawsuit against Nissan because they are still trying to charge me for the vehicle even though I have held up my end of the deal. Somehow they feel that because the dealer went out of business, I am obligated to pay indefinitely for this vehicle. Consumer Affairs at Nissan has been of no use. There is obviously no oversight at this company.
Went 13 months 70000 miles. Nissan transmission needs to be completely replaced and Nissan wont compensate at all. Car has had several recalls already. Im sure transmission will be...eventually. Except they want 4500 to fix. This is ridiculous. Several people I know have had to replace these new style transmissions and I shouldnt have to suffer for this. I have missed 2 weeks of work because they dragged their feet making a decision. They wont fix it.
It is difficult to believe that an international company like Nissan would allow NMAC to be such a screwed up company. It is impossible to get in contact with them. They have no live chat on their website (when I tried to use it it said there was a 7 hour wait). I have emailed them 3 times (no response). I have spent more than 90 minutes on hold trying to reach them by phone. I have reached them 3 times to request a monthly statement. And they have NEVER sent one. I have had the car 5 months.
My wife and I have a 2011 Nissan Altima on lease. Mid-2012 my wife was sexually assaulted IN the car. Think about this. Do you want to drive the car that the love of your life has been raped in? NO! After numerous phone calls to NMAC, we received no assistance. We were even in contact with Nissan North America. They tried to help us out by offering us a car at factory price. The issue was the early termination cost of the car. NMAC refuses to help in any way (they even said as much to the guy at Nissan North America). I understand that NMAC had no legal obligation to assist us in any way, but I feel that they could have done something from a humanitarian standpoint. I never expected them to say, Oh sorry, here is a brand new car for free. What I expected was some relief from the early termination fee. I cannot wait for my lease to end as I will NEVER conduct business with Nissan or their affiliates ever again. I will strongly discourage others from doing so.
The fan blade assembly on my 2013 Pathfinder started making a terrible noise. I took it to the Nissan dealer and they confirmed I needed a new assembly. They also stated this was a known issue and they were seeing a lot of these. Part was back-ordered. This cost me a total of $800. The day I was picking up my car, another Nissan was in for the same repair! I requested that Nissan Consumer Affairs look into this and consider covering the cost since it was a known issue. The rep, Rod stated that although it was something Nissan was aware of, they would not cover it because my car was out of warranty by 16,000 miles on the extended warranty. How poor to not cover your defective part and a known issue and hide behind the mileage. Do not purchase a Nissan - they dont stand behind their vehicles!
I leased a 2013 Nissan Leaf two years ago from Peoria Nissan in Arizona. At the time, the salesman told me not to worry about the battery because Nissan just replaces them if there is any problem. That is totally a lie, and Peoria Nissan will not be of any assistance to me with my Nissan Leaf that has a range now of 59 miles (maybe) in the winter with no heater on. Dont ask about how it fares in the summer - it is ugly to say the least. I now have one more year to suffer through this vehicle because Nissan says the battery charges up to 10 bars and must decline to 8 bars.We know that this does not take into account battery fade - in other words - yes, it looks good when it is first charged, but like all failing batteries, the range quickly decreases as soon as you pull out of your driveway. My lesson in all of this is that Peoria Nissan lies to its customers - yes I know I should not be surprised, and that the manufacturer is choosing to make folks keep a car that simply does not meet the needs stated by the buyer when purchasing the car. I expected somewhere in the range of 70 miles which would allow me to drive back and forth to my work site daily and make a couple side trips as well.This was all explained to the salesman when I leased the car. He is no longer with the dealership. So, I asked if the dealer would work with me on terminating my lease and getting a 2016 Leaf that supposedly had a better battery. Unlike the salesmans reassurances that it was no big deal to end the lease after 24 months, the dealer asked for the entire amount of the last 12 payments and the car. The explanation was that Nissan had changed its lease terms and that the residual value stated in my contract was no longer really valid.The upshot was that for over 900 dollars per month, I could get out of my current lease, turn in my car and get a comparable 2016 Nissan Leaf. Ha Ha Ha. I am laughing only because I am happy to share this saga with anyone who might be foolish enough to trust Nissan and buy or lease one of their vehicles. My advice - just because their contracts are preprinted - insist on adding terms that the salesman tells you in writing and have them initial them. You will then perhaps find out what the real deal is. Thanks for listening.
I tried to give 0 stars but had to give one because 0 was not an available choice. I recently moved from NY to NJ and faxed a request to have my title mailed to the NJ DMV. My request was sent on 9/19/11. It has been almost a month and the NJ DMV has not received my title. Each time I call Nissan, I get a different answer from the customer service representative. I ask to speak with a manager and still get nowhere.I was informed today that the title was sent to the DMV on 9/26/11 via regular mail. I could not believe that theyd send such an important document via regular mail. I believe that since the DMV never received my title, it is lost and there is no way to track it. Nissans response is they have to wait 21 days for them to request a duplicate title. Nissan has the worst customer service department!
There is no doubt in my mind that Nissans consumer affairs department has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. The lack of concern regarding the safety issues that I am having with my 2013 Nissan Altima (i.e., blind spot warning system, voice activation to use phone, updates and use of navigation system) and the disrespectful and belligerent way that I have felt that Nissans consumer affairs department has acted toward me will cause me to never want to purchase another Nissan.I upgraded from a 2001 Maxima to a new 2013 Altima for its safety features. Many of those safety features have not worked properly since the day I took delivery of the car. I have told my local dealership about issues that I am having when I have brought the car to them for regular oil changes. It appears that they have failed to document my issues. I am waiting for the dealership where I purchased the car/have it regularly serviced, to do something about my issues. Hopefully, the dealership can restore my trust in Nissan and resolve the safety issues with my car.I write this review so hopefully Nissan consumer affairs department learns from my experience. I also want to advise others to be certain to tell your Nissan service department about EVERY issue you are having with your car no matter how insignificant it may seem. Plus, be certain that the service department has documented every issue and that YOU SEE IT IN WRITING. I conclude by saying, I am not certain that Nissans consumer affairs department is there to help you as a consumer.
Have been ripped off and treated so poorly! I paid for a brand new Nissan Ultima. Before it had 30,000 miles on it the thing over heated three times shutting down on the side of the road! A fire started under the hood. They would not even come and get me or tow the car! I had to pay for it even though I got roadside service! When I called for help they said I wasnt eligible then the next day they said they wouldnt refund the tow! Then the heater broke! They said they found the problem and fixed it but when it broke again in two weeks they refused to even look at it saying nothing was wrong with it to begin with and they couldnt spend money to keep trying to fix it. They never fixed it. They kept saying it was fine. LOL so patronizing and unhelpful. I wear coats in the car now. I applied to Nissan corp for help. They stalled me two months then said no. Dealer only said the repeated overheating and fire was a bad alternator that we should have caught but they wouldnt replace the car or engine. On a NEW car??? Other shops now tell me the heater malfunction is due to the critical overheating and that many other systems will be significantly damaged. I asked what are the specs on the heater: they said, Ohh we dont have any. Lemon laws are useless if they can get the thing to drive off the lot. Shame on them. I was ripped off. Karma will get you boys.
Any Nissan dealership that has been in business since 2013 knowingly participated in consumer fraud with corporate guidance. They knowingly sold defective vehicles that put the consumers safety in jeopardy and our court system gave them a slap on the wrist. The class action lawsuit attorneys make bank and the consumers were stuck with the aftermath.At first Nissan claimed that a computer program upgrade would fix the issue and they knew it would not. They string you along stating that they are working on a fix, but it never came while I was under their warranty. They say they have a fix now but they want me to pay for half of it because I am just out of warranty. They never told me about the fix while I was in warranty. The fix is only as good as their word and their word has no value. What are they hiding currently? You will not know until it is too late. The whole lot of them are fraudsters that can not be trusted. Buy a Nissan of any make at your own peril. As Americans we should unite and stand outside of every Nissan dealer in America on as often as possible but especially on Saturdays until they go out of business in America. That is about the only recourse we have for these lawbreakers that our Government is allowing to stay in business in this country. Now you cannot say that you have not been warned.
2016 Rogue bad transmission at 66,000 miles! I am anxiously awaiting to find out if my lifetime warranty will cover my transmission on my 2016!!! By the looks of the reviews I am not feeling very good about the coverage. I bought this vehicle brand new from the Nissan Dealership in Grand Blanc, MI. I really believe a transmission should last more than 66,000 miles. I will leave another review after I get the results of the warranty company.
Evolving Technology Poor Quality Systems - Purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue S, the 5th Nissan in our family in the past decade. While Nissan has stepped up their game in designing overall more luxurious interiors, they are now using lackluster and lower end equipment for some important features. The 2017 Rogue S back up camera lacks clarity, is murky and grainy in even moderate light settings. And in some parking lot situations, all you get is a large ball of light reflection. Nissan sent a technician out from their Plant in TN, but to our avail, all the 2017 models not use the same poor quality cameras. As the owner of model years 2011 to current I have to say this my first negative review of Nissan. I have 4 other Nissans with beautiful backup cameras in any lighting condition.If Nissan is happy with this quality reduction, we will no longer support Nissan. Time to change . While no one should rely on a backup camera, it should be as functional as one found on a 2011 or older. Technology should improve not decline with age. If they do not care about this one feature, what else might be lacking on these cars. I dont think this is a company that deserves consideration, lackluster response, and lackluster technology.
New vehicle purchase. Nissan Motor Acceptance called a reference of mine a week later leaving a callback message after the purchase. I called back the next day and was informed it was a verification check. I felt embarrassed. Nissan Motor Acceptance didnt leave a message on my cell which is the first contact number. I believe references shouldnt be contacted unless a payments missed, emergency, or to locate the whereabouts of the customer. Nissan Motor Acceptance is actually the billing department. My first payment isnt due for another 34 days! Nissan already sent a letter informing me of the billing department and online options to manage my account. My reference shouldnt have been contacted. A message shouldve been left on my phone allowing me time to contact them back. Im posting this cause people need to know what theyre getting into with Nissan. Just think if a payments late how theyll respond!
I have had the same problem twice now with the radiator failing causing the coolant to flow in transmission, cause 2 defective radiators and now transmission has to be replaced a second time and the radiator has to be replaced a third time. Nissan has known about these defects for years. They cost me around $8000 fixing this piece of ** and like most people on here, Im still paying over $300 a month on a truck that I cant drive. They need to recall all Nissan trucks with this problem and fix or reimburse people the total cost. This is wrong for all of the complainants on here to suffer like this. Someone, please help. I dont know where to turn to now!
I bought a 1989 Nissan Hard body pickup (D21) from a friend. The DMV (Riverside, California) allowed me to register it but said I must send a certified letter to Nissan Corporation to obtain the Title. So I sent Nissan a certified letter requesting a title and they sent it back to me without even opening the letter. Then the DMV said that I needed to buy a bond and they (the DMV) would make me a new Title. So I bought a bond and gave it to the DMV. Then I received a letter from the DMV from Sacramento, California stating that I would still need to contact Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to obtain a Title. My friend paid this truck off back in 1994. There is no reason that I know of for Nissan to withhold the Title. I cannot get in touch with anyone from the company. My registration expires in October of 2014. Please Nissan call me and lets get this problem solved.
Buying a Nissan is the worst decision I have ever made. Was expecting a great car but it sucks when the problems come out. Dealerships do nothing except getting money out of your pocket. I am the owner of a 2013 Nissan Rogue S AWD Special Edition. Prior to this vehicle I have bought Two and Leased Two, and believe me there is No Loyalty from this company. My complaint with Nissan is - on Sept. 2014 I brought my car to the Dealer MLG #34,387 Newburgh Nissan NY for CVT transmission problems. Whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway, very dangerous. They found an ABS code C1106. Had no problem until April 2015 and it happened again, whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway. So I brought it back to the Dealer MLG #45,452 Newburgh Nissan NY and they could not duplicate the problem and NO codes. OK so now I called Consumer Affairs of Nissan and I received a return call from ** (615) 725-7592 who gave my a REF. # **. Told her what was going on and she insisted that I take to a different Dealer for a Second Opinion. So thats what I did, I brought the car over to another Dealer MLG #45,963 April 2015 Middletown Nissan NY and they couldnt duplicate the problem as well and NO codes. And now to top it off, this problem its costing me money to a Rent A Car. OK So I picked up the car and on May 2, 2015 it happened again. On May 4, 2015 I had my friend hook up the scanner to check the system and found a stored code. Transmission Fault code P0744 Torque Converter ECU part # 31036-JM62A. So I brought the car back to the first Dealer Newburgh Nissan NY and thats where car is now, and they wouldnt give me a rent a car so I am stuck home. We originally filed for a refund of the cash value of the Vehicle Ext. Warranty and Maintenance Contracts on October 28, 2011 with the Bob Rohrman Nissan dealership. We were told 6-8 weeks before we would receive the credit. Dec. 15th, we contacted Nissan Customer Service and spoke with Cedric 1800-Nissan ext **. He stated that Nissan showed that they had never received anything from the dealer. He gave an address and a list of documentation that was needed to start the claim all over. Via certified letter mailed on 12/20/11, we sent him the original copy of Odometer Disclosure Statement from the dealer dated 10/14/11, copy of Wells Fargo statement showing the rogue being paid off posted on 10/21/11 and the original copy of Nissan Extended Services North America Dealer Cancellation Request from Bob Rohrman Nissan of Chesterton dated 10/28/11. The letter was signed for on 12/28/11.Chitana at ** received a similar complaint like this and responded in early January 2012. She then passed the case on to Jane ** at ext **. Jane does not remember conversations from one day to the next. She blames the dealership CFO for not getting back to her. She called and said she is waiting for a confirmation number from another department, which she had told me this now for over a month but she will be calling me back with days with the info then never calls. She told me she is contacting the dealer about the value of the maintenance contract, but now says there is no record of contradicting what Chitana told me. It has been 22 weeks since the claim was initiated. I am close to filing in small claims courts and hiring an attorney for the complaint. The claim will be for the initial credits, attorney fees, court costs and interest.
After reading all the poor reviews on NMAC, it made me so afraid that I was thinking about trading in the Nissan I bought yesterday for a Honda or Toyota! The complaints seemed to say NMAC is eager to ruin Nissan customers credit, wants Nissan customers to pay for NMACs general incompetency, refuses to correct their own mistakes, and employs illegal or dishonest business methods. Thank you all for posting. We, who finance through NMAC, will need to be extra careful and not to expect decent business dealing from NMAC. We should document everything in case some guy from an attorney group actually experienced NMAC ways and wanted to start something against the big guy for their arbitrary and wrongdoing against customers.My experience at the dealership finance dept for NMAC did not go well because the guy did not explain the finance at all. When asked, he just said it is zero percent at 36 months; pointing at the monthly payment and read the inserted terms off a printed contract. He hurried out a lot of paperwork and wanted me to sign off on each of them. The consumer protection law should have required the finance person to explain in detail on what finance rate and duration of the loan, and if the rate will be changed. The consumer will then sign off acknowledgement by writing in essence the interest rate, length of loan, fixed or variable rates, terms on possible penalties, and anything that may increase the cost of the loan. That is more real of a protection than to have consumer sign acknowledgement papers that basically is to protect the finance company.Lets hope Nissan will change and correct NMACs ways to reflect Nissan as a company it wanted to build up to. Lets hope that NMAC is not out to get Nissan buyers who finance through them. If NMAC is that bad as reviewed and people are paying more than they agreed to, why is NMAC and Nissan still allowed to continue their obviously wrong practice without consumers joining forces to protest?
Nissanconnect services is a joke. Its so difficult to understand what level and what options your vehicle has that the dealership doesnt even know. Nissan navigation is nothing short of pathetic. Its a very painful process to navigate to anywhere!! You cant even enter your home address unless its already in whatever ancient database Nissan is using. Nissan should completely abandon this system and work toward making Android Auto/Apple Carplay work wirelessly. For that matter all vehicle manufacturers should do the same.
I recently purchased a 2018 Nissan Titan XD diesel with the midnight package. Everywhere online Nissan advertises that the midnight package XD comes with a bed liner, floor mats, wheel well flares, and more. The dealership I purchased from was nice when I bought my truck. The next day were complete jerks when I went back to ask for floor mats only. So I called customer service with Nissan and they did not do anything and did not care. Flat out told me I was just out of luck. The truck is a piece of crap. It has no power. It is not a diesel. I do not know how Cummins whatever advertise their name on that piece of junk. Save yourself the hassle. Buy a Dodge or a Ford. Stay away from their junk especially Empire Nissan at Lakewood.
I would like to thank you for the most demeaning experience of my life. After approximately (3) weeks of being told to come pick up my car (3) different times, paying for insurance on a car I was unable to drive off the lot, producing every piece of information/documentation requested via e-mail and/or in person, never receiving one correspondence to e-mails sent to Ms. ** in the finance department; sitting in the lobby waiting to meet with the finance department for over (2) hours on (3) separate occasions, only to be told by the car salesmen I needed one more thing and come back tomorrow since it was now after 8:00pm; on one occasion I told the salesman I didnt have much time because I had to pick up my kids from practice by 8:30 I walked out at 9 because he was taking too long. I still sat there for over two hours when he assured me it would only take (15) minutes.On a different occasion I left to get something to eat and brought back dinner for the salesmen since we both had a long day; then being accused of falsifying documents by Ms. ** in the finance department because I misunderstood when she asked me for my PG&E bill I thought she needed Proof of Residency. I had no idea she needed to see the balance owed. When the salesmen explained this to me I apologized for the confusion and asked if they had a computer/printer and I replaced the document within two minutes; next, the salesmen informed me that I needed to lower the balance owed on my PG&E, which I did by making a $200.00 payment and making arrangements for the balance thing next morning; the manager called me and apologized since he had no idea I was still going through this he assured me this would be taken care of once he spoke to the owner tomorrow!All I could do at that point was cry after having to explain what I had been through and was STILL going through; 3 weeks later, I finally met with Keith in Finance 2/14/16 to sign the documents (they removed Ms. ** from the deal since she was so rude and cold to me the ONE time I actually did speak to her and the accusation/lie she told when they had to speak to her about how I was treated. I guess that was her justification; I left with the car. Happy, not so much humiliated and stressed, most definitely! I asked Keith if they could repair damage (a small crack) on the car, he replied yes. Justin (my salesmen) scheduled an appointment for me.When I showed up at the service department to drop off the car during my lunch hour, I was told I had no appointment and they dont make these types of repairs there so Id would have to wait until the salesmen came in at 2. I called the office to inform them that I would be late coming back to work. As I waited an hour for Justin, I was once again embarrassed when approached by a different salesmen. I said I was waiting to find out about having a crack on the car repaired, he asked, Why? Its not like you bought a $30,000 car. Then! After having the car for just over (2) weeks I was contacted by Keith in the finance department on a Sunday afternoon, letting me know the financing had fallen through and they needed the car back by Monday (the next day). I was in Los Angeles for my daughter. I stepped out of our hotel room so my kids wouldnt see me crying again. I contacted the finance company directly. SHE INFORMED ME THAT I NEEDED TO BRING DOWN THE BALANCE ON PG&E BILL BY $600.00, which I did just to keep my car for me and my children.Mind you when I first arrived after being convinced by a DJ who promotes events held on the lot to come there because everyone is so wonderful. The very first thing I said to the salesmen is, I have been through so much financially. I have horrible credit, a $1,500.00 down payment, and a job that I have been at for almost 16 years. If you cant help me I totally understand. He assured me that he would do the best he could. He ran my credit, laid out different terms so I said, Thank you, I cant meet those terms and left. They called me back saying THEY COULD HELP ME. Had I known I would go through so much humiliation, stress, tears and two migraines I would NEVER have gone back! I am a single mother. Paid once a month. I had to give all I had at that moment to keep the car (which included the first months payment I had set aside and money to get us through the month. I will be late on my first payment.
I bought a 2016 Nissan Maxima on May 10, 2016. Three weeks later I hit a deer with the car. Three months later I am still waiting to have the car fixed. Apparently the problem has been a wire harness that affected the airbags and seatbelts. Nissan is taking their sweet time getting the wire harnesses to Valley Nissan to start with. Now my insurance adjuster told me that Valley Nissan had gotten the wire harnesses for the car two weeks ago and they have not bothered to put them in yet. I am still waiting on Valley Nissan to fix it. I am still three months later waiting for this car to be fixed and daily I get the normal response that Ill be getting the car the next day but never do. I will never ever buy a Nissan product from Valley Nissan nor will I ever buy a Nissan product.
I received a bright orange post card from Nissan with the headline RECALL NOTICE - Your Nissan may be in need of correction to assure its continued Safe Operation (in bold face). It then asks to call for an appointment. A Modification code ** is given. When I get to the service desk, he states there is no recall on my vehicle. He quickly hustles me into a 15,000 car maintenance. The cost was $330. After 2 1/4 years, I had only 12,000 miles on my car. I felt I was taken and I was. I made a complaint to Nissan corporate consumer affairs. They will do nothing except to stop having promotions and phony recall cards sent out.
My brand new car (Nissan Sunny XL petrol), right after the second free service, the car started having problem like heating up of the engine and frequent shutdowns. When checked with the service center, it assured me nothing was wrong with the vehicle and in a perfect condition. I, with my little daughter, drove the car to our relatives next day. On the way, it broke down again while passing a dangerous valley. It stopped more than 20 times during the travel of 200km. When I contacted the service station in charge, he said that he cannot do anything. When asked what should be done next, his answer was, HE DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING.I then called Nissan Call Center. With much effort and persuasion, they connected me to the local technician who, after inspection, declared that the problem occurred because of the FAULTY FUEL PUMP and DUPLICATE COOLANT, which the service center used. More than 15 days has passed and in spite of sending a number of mails, no action has been taken until date.
I picked up my car on Nov 22 on Dec 1 display not functioning. Brought to dealer on Dec 3 said need new screen. On Dec 5 called saying adjusted is what is needed. Dec 8 bring in to let them do adjustment. Dec 9 display/screen does not work again. Dec 13 called to follow up, do not know when the dealer will fix this problem. Big headache, maybe I got a lemon.
