I bought my 2000 Nissan Maxima new and just after the three-year mark and at about 27,000 miles I got an SES light. I took it to the dealer and they told me all 6 ignition coils needed to be replaced. I was in shock. How can all 6 be bad on a car with only 27,000 miles. I asked if there was a recall or if the parts were defective. All they said was to call Corporate Nissan! When I did I got blown off. They said since my car was past the warranty period they were not responsible for anything. I was out of luck. I said maybe they could make an exception because this was not something that normally happens. They would not budge. I was stuck and what made me really angry was that these parts had to be ordered through the dealer and they were on back order. I tried AutoZone and online but no luck. The parts took about 5 weeks to come in since there was a shortage of these parts. This was very common for this year and model car. I had to rent a car for this period and ended up spending a total of $1600 including the rental car. This was a nightmare I will never forget. A very good example of very poor customer service. Leave your customer stuck and say we cant do anything for because we do not have to. Excellent way to make your customer say I will never buy another Nissan product again. I actually had to call the customer rep because she did not return my call. I left her a message saying thanks for nothing and calling me back like you said you would. It was not her fault but she could have returned my car with courtesy and respect even though there was nothing Nissan would do for me. I really felt that there should have been a recall but they took the cheap way out. Better to lose a few customers than to shell out bucks to help customers with a manufacturer defect. The sad part is that after all that I went through, I still have this car today. It has 172,600 miles and is still running good. Still will not buy another Nissan because of this bad experience. I had to replace 3 O2 sensors, MAF sensor, radiator, alternator, starter, thermostat, front axle, dimmer switch, front struts.
I have a 2012 Nissan Juke. There is an issue with my driver side door lock being frozen and unable to get keyless entry into my vehicle. Im sure this issue isnt the worst issue I can have, but its very frustrating that they cant do anything about it even though there are recalls on this vehicle for the exact same reason. I called Nissan Corporate and because my vin and part numbers are not on their recall list, there is nothing they can do. Obviously if Im having the exact same issue as all the recalled cars have, its definitely a more widespread issue than they think. I will never buy another Nissan again. Worst customer service ever.
I have owned my 2014 Nissan Rogue brand new. I have had nothing but problems with it. Transmission, breaks, electrical, navigation, tail hitch, seat belt covers, brake booster x3, mounts, struts the list goes on. I tried to claim lemon law several times and get denied. My vehicle has been falling apart since I got it and get zero support from Nissan! It is back in the shop for a failed brake booster and now they want me to pay for it! Dont buy a Nissan ROGUE ever!!!
2014 Nissan Rogue SV - 2014 has few design is not useful and use some cheap material for inside. Like monitor is very easy scratch and crack. In my car I was use very carefully. I was do nothing about it, no hit it...still get crack. Maybe my area are too cold and get hot...make plastic crack. And front windshield wiper cant hood up because by the engine cover. Very difficult clean up at snow time.
I have called your finance department Nissan Canada Finance on multiple occasions including today regarding an outstanding payment on my third lease with Nissan (2011 Maxima.) Payment overlooked due to family health issues. The outstanding balance was paid for earlier this year (2016) through your collection agency and payment confirmed by Nissan Finance. I am still getting letters and calls from Credit Risk Management Canada Ltd. asking for payment. I was told by your finance department to resolve it myself with CRM. (How rude and arrogant.) I have been wasting my valuable time dealing with various people regarding this issue. I find it very disturbing that your finance department would not contact the credit agency to confirm the payment. If the calls and letters continue from Credit Risk Management, I will be contacting my lawyer, as I feel this is a form of harassment. I am now on my fourth lease with Nissan and do not expect to renew or purchase with Nissan or Infinity in the future. Your finance department staff are uncaring, rude and condescending and have left me very dissatisfied and angry. UPDATE - Its now Feb 2017 and not one follow-up call or apologies. PS: I miss one payment after 14 years with Nissan and I am considered a criminal. They need to send their hounds after. Nissan - The Donald Trump of Car Companies.
I had my 2011 Nissan Versa towed into the Service Department. They quoted me $1000 to replace the fuel tank. Do they not realize that next month is Christmas??? I said No thank you. I will come by and get my vehicle and take it home and replace the fuel tank on my own. When I arrived Darryl ** and Eric informed me I owed them $55. I asked for what? They said because they had to drive the vehicle in and out of the shop twice. So they are just charging me because they drove my vehicle around. Are they serious??? Really? They did nothing to my car. They only inspected it and looked at it. They did no work whatsoever to it. But they want to charge me $55.I mentioned Ive been in the Air Force for 18 years. Is there any way to waive this. They said no. Wow. They apparently must rip off everyone with what all the comments below say! Everyone seems to have the same complaint and mention being ripped off. I see a pattern here. Hmmm!!! It is also apparent to me that Nissan of Melbourne does not support the military. Seriously if they did would they not have waived the fee??? I plan to mention to every military member I know, and ask them to mention to every military member they know not to go to this place, and not to go to any Nissan at all because they consistently rip people off and do not support the military in my eyes. Would anybody else agree with me?
I have been a customer with Nissan Finance since May 2015. I never had an issue with them. I decided to trade my 2015 for a 2018 this past April. I paid $2500 down (which I did have to do in 2015) and my payments went up. However back in July, I ran into some financial difficulties and communicated that with them in able to get a payment extension which they declined. I made payments which weren’t the full amount and kept communicating with them for an extension.I owed them about 2 months and made a payment on 9/1/2018. They reposted my car on 10/12/2018 and are not allowing me to pay the past due. They want me to pay the full balance of the loan which is unheard off. If I’ve been requesting an extension for 2 months, how would I be able to pay off the entire loan in one day on a 72 months loan. They are not in the business of keeping customers in their vehicle. I will be filing a lawsuit against them and American Repossession. I reside in a gated community with Security at a guard gate. No towing truck is allowed in our complex with Security Knowledge or Resident Approval. They illegally gained access to our community.
Leased new Infiniti QX70 in 2017. Never missed a payment, or late. Reported as 30-day late to credit bureau 2 months before lease ended because the local sales tax had changed from 6% to 7%, and even though I made the payment, I was $5.38 short. Never knew the rate changed! I am paperless, and make automatic payments. Why would I imagine that my payment would change when I entered into a contract for a specified amount for 36 months? I have leased/owned 4 Infiniti vehicles (QX4, G35, EX35, and QX70) for more than 25 years, and only now have I ever had any issues. Their answer: TOO BAD. My response: Never will I lease/buy another Nissan or Infiniti. And will steer any I know away.
I purchase a 2012 Nissan Juke Oct 2013 with 5700 miles - now 15,000 miles, it kept on cutting out. I took it into my local dealer. After paying 88£ they told me it would need a new gearbox (value 6700) and just fob me off, saying warranty expired since March of this year. As a single mother with 3 children, I just cant afford it and the sales person whom was soon nice to me before I purchased the car now fobs me off and say there is nothing they can do. Everyone (9) spoke to says its a manufacturer fault and they should consider giving me at least a refurbished gearbox, etc. as for such a new car with low mileage. The gearbox shouldnt have stop working and an automatic transmission at that.
Nissan has produced a product with an obvious defect and has not warned their customers that if not repaired, then it can cause major problems with the transmission. I have had to pay over $5000 in repairs and rental cars for one month. There is a backorder on parts to replace the overwhelming amount of transmission repairs.
Just because I didnt have Hackensack Nissan Dealer write down the deal they were offering when I went to the dealer, a debt collector is after me now. When I leased the Sentra back in March 2012 from Hackensack Nissan dealer in New Jersey, I had a lot of months left for the previous Altima. When I told a sales associate about it, two people at the dealer said, Okay. Well take care of it, and no other explanation. And of course, they didnt write it down and they let me switch to Sentra with some benefits. The benefits were a lower monthly payment and free maintenance for the life of the lease. The dealer said I was set. And this was the first day for the particular sales associate. A month later, he quit. So there was nobody other than me who knows what exactly happened. Also, this sales associate held on to my personal belongings from the old Altima. He quit without returning them to me.When I called Lou **, general sales manager, for the quitters contact info, he gave me a cell phone number that belonged to somebody else. So the employer didnt even have his employees contact information correct. A few weeks later, I started getting calls from the debt collector. I thought it was the early lease termination fee and I thought it should be taken care of by the Hackensack Nissan dealer. So I went to the dealer many times to see what was going on. There was absolutely no explanation of the situation by them. Instead, they told me to watch out for some mails which I need to bring to them. Of course, the alleged mail never arrived. This happened twice. And when I went to the dealer for the last time, Chris **, the general manager (he also quit a month later) and Freddie **, a sales associate, told me that they sent a partial payment for the Altima to Nissan but there was still a remaining balance.Both of them told me that the Altima was being auctioned now. So when they receive the money for Altima, they can pay everything off. And Freddie ** clearly told me that he didnt want to help me because I was rude. Also, he denied signing on the paper with the series of events I wrote down to record what happened at the dealer. When I called the dealer a month later to see if the payment was made, an accounting person, not the general manager or the sales associate, told me that the sales associate requested Nissan to waive the remaining amount and he was waiting for a reply from Nissan. After this, there is no correspondence with the Hackensack dealer. So they just left me with more than $3,000 debt to Nissan with no explanation by the dealer. In October, it was a rude woman from the Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation that told me the collector was requesting the remaining balance of Altima, and not the early lease termination fee.And as long as I dont have a paper to prove that the dealer is responsible for the amount, I should be responsible. If the dealer had told me originally that I would still be responsible for the Altima, I wouldnt have changed the car in the first place. Why would I have to switch a 2011 brand new Altima to a Sentra? But the dealer didnt explain to me. They never even mentioned that I had to pay for the Altima. And there are only verbal correspondence between me and the dealer. Oh, and after talking to Mr. ** at the Department of loss and recovery, I found out the $3,000 is the early lease termination fee and not the remaining balance of the Altima. Honestly, I lost count of all the lies they made to me. In the past 8 months, I was ridiculed and lied to numerous times.Mr. ** at the Department of Loss and Recovery told me that I didnt understand whats going on because of the language barrier I have. Mr. ** also at the Department of Loss and Recovery clearly said it was my fault to trust Nissan. And he was chuckling on the phone. Its sad how I end up like this after being a loyal customer for over 18 years. But I guess Nissan doesnt care about the old customers. I cant wait to return the Sentra and leave this company for good. To all the people here, my thoughts are with you. We just crossed our paths with deceitful people and company. Dont be fooled or preyed on by them ever again in your life.
Planning to travel to Illinois, planning to buy a new Pathfinder in Chicago then drive the Pathfinder to New York State then drive back to my home in Utah. I looked online, found the vehicle and price, called the Chicago dealer to buy. SHOCK SHOCK SHOCK. They told me the online sales price is not for Utah residents, and I have to pay the sale price for Utah residents (we are not talking about taxes and registration), we are talking about the cost of the car. He said; Nissan assigns individual prices to each State, each State has its own price for the SAME vehicle. Same vehicle, different costs for each State.Inquiring, Is it the costs associated in shipping?, he said no. Is the individual charges from that State?, no. What is it? He said, It is the Nissan Marketing. He then said Utah residents pay $2800 more for the same vehicle so he would charge (overcharge) me $2800 more. I called 2 other dealers in Illinois to verify that Nissan charges Utah residents a higher cost for the same vehicle. I am now looking at other brands of vehicles, saddened by Nissan marketing. After several new Nissan vehicles over the past 20 years, I am leaving Nissan, due to Nissan Marketing. Utah Nissan dealers lost (future sales), so did the Illinois dealers (today). Online buying of vehicles opened my eyes. [To Nissans credit, he said it protects dealers in the State you reside in and takes that competition out between States]. Bye Bye Nissan. That is called price fixing.
I have experienced more incompetence from this dept. than any other customer service center I have ever contacted. It has been 3 months I have been attempting to get them to send my title to the state DMV for registration. I have faxed them documents at least 6 times during this period. I follow-up with the fax to confirm everything was received and it is all in order. I am told all is in order and the request is being processed. A week later I follow-up for status to be told something or other is missing or incorrect. They do not have the courtesy to contact me when they discover the error, they simply throw it out and never inform the customer. I will never buy a Nissan again.
I purchased a new 2013 Nissan Rogue in Nov 2013, that the $4000 transmission has to be replaced at less than 100,000 miles only to discover that my extended warranty void. I have almost been killed in this junk of a car several times due to this issue, why do they recall every year but 2013.
We would like to inform you that I am one of regular customer of Nissan Company from Kingdom of Bahrain. I was buy NISSAN ARMADA Chassis No: ** on date 28/04/2012, the most technical fault is air condition date of 01/07/2014. I did completely services. After that one year again same problem face. Again I was make service in your Authorized Services Center on 19/11/2015 replace as per related spare-parts. So that now again same problem facing. From the begin which problem face still not change. This time I met your Authorized Service Center. They are given me a high Expenses Quotation BD780. Therefore from the date of purchase always I was servicing your Authorized center only. They dont where is exact fault. In this regard please check your technical support and give me a valuable response.

Ive had 5 Nissans before. This is my LAST one. It is a piece of crap. The clutch failed at 27K miles and Nissan refused to fix it - wear and tear item. Radio, fan, A/C, etc etc. Will never buy another one!
Never in my life will I return to this dealership (Power Nissan at South Bay) and I advise to be very careful when dealing with the people here. I came into the dealership requesting a Lease Buyout Packet which I was instructed to get from Nissan USA after calling over the phone. So I come in and I was told to wait for **. I waited over 1 hour to only be rushed out of his office, and after declining extended warranty, he literally threw me the purchase order. I couldnt believe the service this man was providing my father and I. I took the purchase order to my credit union to finalize the loan being that I didnt like the customer service given to me there at the dealership. The credit union mailed Power Nissan South Bay the check. I figured we were done and the loan was paid off. Well I was wrong. The same rude unprofessional man by the name of ** called my father and basically threatened him with returning the check back to the credit union if he didnt go in the dealership right there and then to sign the paper work for the extended warranty. My father told him “I don’t speak English.” He then told my father “You’re in America, not Mexico.” My dad couldnt believe his ears. He then called me to tell me what was going on. I then called Power Nissan and requested to speak to ** and then it all went down. This man began to yell and curse me out after I questioned him for harassing my father. He stated that we better go in there ASAP or else. I then asked to speak to his manager and he stated “I am the manager. I’m the senior manager and I don’t have time for you. Go somewhere else” and hung up on me. I called him back and told him Id be coming to pick up the check. He then said “Don’t bother its been destroyed.” So now my question is what’s going to happen to my loan. And where did all this come from. Never in my life have I seen or dealt with such an animal. Yes animal, he is not human. A human doesnt treat others this way. I am so disappointed and don’t even want my 2 Nissan vehicles anymore. I will never ever purchase or support a Nissan dealer after this horrific experience. I have reported this incident to Yelp, BBB, Nissan Corporate I want this to be known. You do not have the right to treat customers this way. I don’t know if this was an act of racism or if this man is just plain evil. Just because we are Mexican/Hispanic doesnt give you the right to treat us any less. The manager of Power South Bay is a total jerk - the rudest, meanest, ugliest person Ive ever met. Hope God forgives you.
I have complained to Nissan numerous times about back up camera malfunction. I have even recorded videos and let them see me driving and that the camera shows what’s behind me. My radio shuts down for no apparent reason. This is a 2018 Pathfinder. I hate Nissan and everything they stand for. Theyre a bunch of liars and don’t keep their word.
I lost my title in a house fire. I asked for a lien release and I was faxed a copy without a signature. I told several representatives it has to be mailed and, of course, signed. Yal dont care.I cant get a new title until Alabama sees there is no lien on my car, which was paid off in October of 2005. This should already be resolved.I will be calling Better Business Bureau by the 1st of September, if this isnt resolved ASAP. I will also be calling an attorney to come after you. Get me my lien release now!
I purchased a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder in September 2013. In the first months two rear seals went bad. Shortly after that, the left rear wheel bearing went out. A few months later, the two motors in the passenger door window (which never gets used) went bad. Then about a month ago my right rear wheel bearing went out. Two weeks ago there was a loud bang in the rear end and the left rear shock absorber broke. REALLY NISSAN??? I would be ashamed beyond belief to have a product of this poor quality and not stand behind it. Your free advertising started after the two seals went bad in the first months of ownership of this vehicle. Then, I read just recently that the Nissan Pathfinder is in the top 10 worst vehicles to purchase right now. My son in law was about to purchase a Nissan Armada, but that will not happen now. Never again Nissan. Poor quality product with big corporation not standing behind their product.
Its a great car. Its easy to drive, its a great color and it was in my price range. It has very nice comfortable seats that heat up and its super comfortable to drive and ride in it. Its smooth and I love it. However, sometimes the tires feel really odd and really off and it simply makes me a little nervous to drive it or really be in it in general. Nevertheless, I genuinely like Nissan and I enjoy the vehicle.
I leased first a 2011 Nissan Armada then traded it in for a 2013 Armada. That was the biggest mistake I made. The 2011 is a far better SUV. The GPS is no good, it does not record CD and you can only put one CD at a time. There is no touch screen. All these features are on the 2011. I am sorry I traded it in.
Transmission problems. They know about problems with their vehicles but don’t care. DO NOT make the same mistake I did. I have talked to several people that bought them and mechanics they agree, don’t BUY. I talked to their corporate office and they don’t care and won’t talk about the issue.
I purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue on mid August. I received the statement that my payment would be due on August 30th. On August 26th, I wanted to pay $6,000 online as my first payment. I had to call the finance company and they told me that they couldnt process the amount of $6,000 and that it could only be $2,000 at a time. Well, I had no choice so I split up the amount into three separate amounts online and to top it off, I was charged a $5 convenience fee for each transaction. Well on August 31st, I checked my bank account and to my surprise I had a charge of $12,000 plus six convenience charges. I called the finance company and advised them that I only wanted to make a payment of $6,000 not $12,000. I asked to speak with a manager several times and I held on the line forever. I was finally transferred to a manager, Rosey, and explained my situation. I asked for the convenience to be waived and they denied my request. This has been such an inconvenience at this point and very disappointing. Rosey explained that this same issue had happened to someone else earlier as well and they couldnt do anything for me. They advised me that they would reverse the additional $6,000 charge which they mistakenly charged me but that it would take seven to ten days to process. Now, this situation has made me to have to borrow money from someone else as I didnt have this amount in my bank account in the first place. I will never purchase a car from Nissan ever! Their finance company is irresponsible and the management are imbeciles.
I purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue. Brand new. Have no problems until this week. The car wouldnt crank. Replaced battery works fine. Now the radio wont work. Speakers just went out. All the sudden a burst of smoke came from the vents that smelled like burning wiring. Called Nissan my warranty is out. Seen on edmunds.com that a recall is in place as of Jan 28th 2015 but hasnt been mentioned yet. The wiring harness is shorting out and can cause the car to catch fire. And nothing can be done unless I pocket out the 2,000 + grand to get it fixed. You pay 25,000 for a brand new safe car to drive your children around in and this is the repayment. I will never do business with Nissan again.
The air bag sensor light came on at about 75,000 miles. Now at 98,000 and five trips to the dealer, it is still on. I have been told the parts are anywhere from $362 to $975. This is my second and last Nissan.
When Speaking to Kaysha today, I could have sworn I speaking to a robot but human like. She kept repeating the same Nissan will not cover the repairs you need because your vehicle is out of warranty. In January of 2018, I replaced the turbocharger costing $5200 which included parts and labor. Nissan is really proud of their prices! At the time I was told it was determined that lack of maintenance was the problem. I was not aware that a Turbo Charger needed maintenance and furthermore, They have all the records of my oil changes since I bought the car in 2014 so that could not be the problem. Now, my timing belt broke, damaging the timing belt housing and causing other damage to more parts of the engine. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs to ask them to review the problem once again. They called me back today to let me know that they will not cover the repairs. Once again, I am left holding the bag. I still owe $12K on the car and the repairs will be upwards of $8K. I have been shysted once again. I will never buy another Nissan again. Two is all it takes for me to learn my lesson. I feel stupid for not recognizing their robotic crap before. I am disgusted with Nissan and they will never see me set foot in one of their dealerships again and oh by the way, now with social media running rampant, they should listen more carefully to the squeaky wheel! I wish nothing but the worst for this company!!! They lie and steal from their loyal customers!! And on top of everything, they still have the gall to ask for a rating! Unbelievable! Well, I RATE YOU (ZERO stars!!!). They make you rate at least one star but know this you idiots at Nissan Consumer Affairs, You dont deserve that Star! You are a ZERO star company!!!
I purchase a 2015 last yr 2014. March of 2015 I was driving on the highway going about 60/70 when my car dropped on its own all the way down to 10/15. Me and my kids were in the car. Took it to Sheridan Nissan where I bought the car from, they couldnt find anything. Well it happen again, this time my husband recorded on his phone showed the service department. They replace the transmission. Now 10/2015 the transmission seal broke.
CVT failed on our 2012 Versa with 67000 miles. Nissan will not provide any assistance with the $4000 failure. Apparently they were losing too much money repairing these transmissions and decided to turn the problem into a profit center. Now they are having problems sourcing a replacement! Chrysler used the same Jatco transmission in three of their vehicles, but discontinued use because of the problems. I didnt realize at the time but my Jeep patriot company vehicle which also had a transmission failure uses the same transmission. Two rules for buying a car: 1. Make sure its not a Nissan 2. Dont buy if it has a Jatco transmission.
Nissan extended warranty on 2009 Rogue for 10 years. I replaced CVT in December of 2015 at AAMCO after being informed by a Nissan dealer that I did not have any warranty remaining. I recently discovered that in fact I do have a warranty on CVT as it was extended. I filed claim with Nissan for reimbursement which they have denied. The Nissan service manager discussed this claim with Nissan and their opinion was I should be reimbursed.
A 2015 Nissan Murano I leased in February 2015 was in the service department for 45 days. I was highly unhappy and wanted Nissan Consumer Affairs to either take the car back or exchange for a functioning one. Nissan consumer affairs was dismissive, vague, uninterested in the hardships I endured, and ignored the many valid complaints and concerns I had. They sent me generic letters only and in the last month never returned my calls. This company has become a joke, and I am proud to say I have already deterred 2 friends from buying a new Nissan. In customer service, the customer should be heard. Not dismissed!
I purchased my car about 6 months ago, a Nissan Versa 4-door sedan. My car ran fine up until I went in for scheduled maintenance and the dealer did a CVT reprogram. Now it is vibrating most of the time when idle. It was shaking so bad at one point that I can feel the vibration in my leg when my foot is on the break. Also on my hand when it is on the steering wheel. I only have around 38 k miles on this car. Prior to this update, I was really impressed at how my car performed almost like it was new. Now I am scared and very disappointed to say the least.
Bought a pre-owned car from Cerritos Nissan. Car look great and works perfectly for two months since was bought. The car started to have some mechanical issues with the shift gears. Shift got stuck for no reason. Nissan did not help at all. ):
I leased a brand new 2017.5 Nissan Rogue SV AWD Premium Package in July 2017. My vehicle traded was a 2015 Rogue (same model) I had hit my mileage on a year early. Not only was I pleased with my 15, but I spent 2 years as a Nissan employee, and I retain the Nissan Visa card. I would say Im a pretty good customer and supporter. In 6 months and 7k (now 8k) miles, my Rogue has had the radio/navigation system fully replaced! My Rogue has also been TOWED into the dealerships service department! I work nights. It was Christmas Eve. The car never made it to work. Of course, 3 days later after the holiday, the Rogue worked fine and the mechanics could not duplicate the issue. A diagnostic test showed a possible air flow problem... which I read about in another review... but they really have no idea. I am a single mom, on a check-check basis, and one reason I lease is to avoid maintenance! I cry all the time in my car. I am frustrated. Every time I start the Rogue I wonder what will happen next. I have lost confidence in this vehicle. I filed a claim with Consumer Affairs. I have received 2 emails from the gal stating she has tried to reach me multiple times by phone but I have no missed calls, voicemails, nothing, and the number(s) is saved in my phone. I have responded to these emails but then have not heard back from her. In the last week, I have called her DIRECT line 5x leaving my contact phone number 2x every message. I have gotten voicemail each time. Since December 26, 2017 I have called Nissan Consumer Affairs 8x. I should not have to be dealing with this regarding a vehicle purchased brand new not 7 months ago. Certain staff members at the dealership have been as helpful as they possibly can be but they have limitations which I understand. At least theyre on my side. Nissan seems to think this entire issue is a game. Its not. I live in Columbus, Ohio. We do not have major public transport opportunities. I cannot afford a chauffeur, I cannot afford taxi cabs or Uber. Nissan needs to step up.
My family and I were debating about purchasing a new 2016 Nissan Rouge thinking it was a safe and a reliable family car but encountering these extremely dangerous mechanical issues I faced with my family in the car going 65 mph on the interstate had me thinking otherwise. The transmission fails when needing to accelerate then cuts back on after we just nearly missed getting into an accident with an 18 wheeler. This car is unsafe and was recalled by Nissan to get this issue fixed so I mean, they should be aware of this problem with these cars now that we are out of the extended warranty. Ms Amber ** the manager and Joe the specialist both specified (that they are not in the position to do anything) for our family that they are sorry, OK, thank you. Just like that she ended the conversation. So now that you know they will not back up their product and at least help the cost of repair or completely exchanging it for the type 2 transmission for the car, please dont buy a Nissan. Read all defects and reviews, know how many people they have turned away because of this problem. Please choose a safer car for your family to drive in. Thank you for your time.
To say Im disgusted would be an understatement. On Saturday when I tried to leave my house my car was humming and driving slow so I assumed the oil was low. I went to have the oil changed and it drove fine for the rest of the day. Monday it started acting up again so I added transmission fluid and did some research online and noticed that Nissan was extending the warranty on the CVT transmission (obviously others were having issues). Im being told now by Nissan that my warranty is VOID since I added transmission fluid. Really?? First of all no one even contacted me. I had to find out when the car starting acting up by doing my own research. If you are shopping for a car DO NOT get a NISSAN. The way they treated me today was horrible. Nissan Consumer Fair showed the worst customer service today, but I guess they carry themselves the way Nissan does.
I purchased a 2012 Nissan Sentra 2 years ago and I didnt mind the high interest rate and payments because I thought Nissan made reliable vehicles. WRONG. My transmission now needs to be replaced at 85k miles! Not okay! Id chalk it up to bad luck if it were just me having this issue but Ive found countless reviews complaining of the same issue with the CVT transmissions in all Nissan models. Nissan doubled the warranty on the older models due to a lawsuit for their cheap faulty transmission, you think theyd resolve the issue but NOPE! The repairs are going to cost me $3400 and Nissan refuses to help. Awful cars and awful service. If its not too late, do NOT buy Nissan. Look into Hondas or Toyotas. Ill never buy another Nissan again.
I want to know if anyone else is having a problem with their Rogue not accelerating in the expressway. I was driving back from Alabama to Atlanta yesterday evening and took my foot off the gas pedal briefly and as I tried to give my car gas, the car wouldnt go pass 40 miles per hour per speedometer. I almost had an accident with my child in my car trying to pull over from the left lane to get to the emergency lane. After waiting two hours for the road side assistance to locate me, my car was towed to the nearest dealership. I finally was able to get it back to Atlanta that same night. No check engine light came on at all. The car seems to be running fine. Took it to the dealership to be check and was informed that I need a new transmission.
I had contacted Nissan regarding a shift lever failure on my 2008 Rogue. After sending in my information and then getting a reply from Nissan today, 9/7/12, (after several attempts to contact anyone), I was told by Nissan that they cannot help me with any financial help or warranty due to the part is not covered by any drivetrain warranty. As this part is not considered a drivetrain part and I am at 60,109 miles (1,009 miles over the 60,000 drivetrain warranty). It was added, additionally, that another main reason I was denied any help is I was told that I do not take my car to Nissan for any service, therefore, they cannot help me at Christopher Nissan in Woods Cross Utah. This sends a message to me that since I do not spend money at Nissan, there is not much they feel responsible for. I did have my CVT transmission serviced there as I feel it was important for the extended warranty to have it serviced. $180 on a transmission service that should only have cost no more than $75. I do my own maintenance on my cars and have completed the service needed on oil changes and rotating tires, etc. So Im not spending money at Nissan rubes wrong. From my view, the part that failed has nothing to do with service or maintenance and what I have spent at the dealer. It is related to the quality of a component. If anyone at Nissan would take time to read internet reviews on this subject, they would conclude there are many questionable concerns about this part on the Rogue and other Nissan models.So if this has come to a close about me not spending more money with Nissan to service my vehicle, I accept this and will not spend any more money with Nissan going forward. First Instance: I booked vehicle at Nissan Alissa Showroom at Prince Sultan Road, Jeddah on 24-6-2016. While booking vehicle, I had been told by sales supervisor that I will get vehicle before Eid (festival) but after follow-up for vehicle, sales supervisor said that he didnt promised but just he said he will try. My Experience: My question is when you are aware that it is not possible then why give false commitment and false hope to customers.Second Instance: When I got sms of registration of my car number plate on 20-07-2016, I went to showroom expecting to get car. Sales supervisor checked his computer and said, my car is at Falisteen Road branch. I have to go there tomorrow before 11:30 AM or else I will not get car. As per his instruction I went. It was 21-7-2016. Delivery staff said my car not yet reached from warehouse and I have to wait. I waited for 5 hours and finally at 3.55 PM my car reached. I got it at 6.00 PM. My Experience: Making customer wait for complete day and waste their time. Their attitude is a customer has to wait, no issue, it is norm. There is no coordination at all between teams/department and no one follows SOP (I doubt, if there is any). Just chaos. No one take a lead to solve customer issue. Just blame other co-workers.Third Instance: I had been handed dirty vehicle. From inside floor was wet, dirty dusty hands prints on car door panel, exterior crevices is full of sand. When asked why its not cleaned, answer is cleaners are lazy. My Experience: No one bother about customer experience and staffs are not trained about their job, which leads to casual attitude towards work. I decided I will never buy Nissan againFourth Instance: Very next day when I try to start the car it was not getting start only clicking sound (as Friday and Saturday service department is closed, I have to wait till Sunday). I went to the dealer. He said I have to go to Auto Star showroom on Tahliya road that is the workshop. I went there. They said battery has to be replaced. My Experience: Speechless!!!Fifth Instance: I had been told that they dont have battery in stock so I have to come next day. I express my disregard then workshop manager told me to wait, he will buy on cash and I can my take vehicle today. I have been waiting. When there was only one hour left for closing, I inquired when will he receive battery. He dial some numbers and spoke to someone and said he cant help me because he dont have petty cash. My Experience: Wasted my time by giving me false information and finally give lame excuse. Battery is out of stock!!! A joke.Sixth Instance: Next day I was expecting call from workshop. I didnt get any call till afternoon. I call them to check. I spoke to manager. He said till now its not ready and he will call me back once it is ready. Alas! Not any call, not even to apologize for not getting vehicle ready. When I didnt get any call for four days, I went and blasted manager he put some local battery and gave me car. My Experience: Nissan has to be one of the worst companies known to man.Overall Experience: Please check picture attached and decide yourself. I even complaint to Nissan Middle East head office, only reply I got is: Greetings from Nissan Middle East FZE. There was an issue with the transmission for this vehicle, hood. The hood of the vehicle seemed to appear loose all the time. When I would drive the vehicle the hood seemed as though it had been opened and not closed completely.
I have two problems with this vehicle (2013 Nissan Rogue). It is only three years old and the transmission is failed twice. I replaced the transmission at 80,000 miles and with a little over 150,000 miles. It is failing again. Second, the car has pearl white paint on it, and it is peeling off across the car. Every area of the car has paint peeling off. I submitting a claim and took the car to the dealer several times. Nissan Consumer Affairs refuses to help defray the cost of these repairs, $4800 for a new transmission and $1500 for the paint job. I have filed complaints with the BBB, Nissan USA and the NHTSA. No one is helping.
The finance manager over at Nemet Nissan on Hillside Queens, NY charged us $2,734 on our lease contract, for a 2012 Nissan Rogue, when we were supposed to only pay $1,600. He refused to explain the breakdown of the fees when asked, and kept saying I will get to that in a minute as he made us sign all the paperwork. Then after handing us the lease agreement, he still didnt explain the breakdown, and said thats what the numbers worked out to be, and said the contract was already signed, nothing he can do about it. Worst experience ever, after being with Nissan for almost 4 years. That is a big rip off! Now, Im stuck in a lease, paying $290 a month, when I should be paying less.
Nissan 370Z is a great looking car with horrible storage space. Great acceleration but no sunroof, hatchback, and 2 door. Pretty easy to park cause its compact and small. I also like the color -- a silver grey. The body shape is sporty and looks great. I bought the car mostly because of the way it looked and the acceleration and the sportiness of it. I wish that it had a sunroof/T-top. Though those can be a pain in the butt. I hate the headlights. I think they should have been pop ups. I hate the hatch trunk. Nowhere near enough room. Seats are black cloth - very ugly. I hate that it doesnt come with a hatch cover. I have one that does not fit the car.
The Rogue although slightly underpowered is a delight to drive. It feels so much larger than its compact size. AWD helps in winter driving plus a vast array of safety features add to driver safety. The best recommendation, its comfortable to drive. So much that I prefer it to our second vehicle a sport sedan costing considerably more.
We purchased a certified pre-owned Nissan Pathfinder 8/2010 from the local Nissan dealer, Central Valley Nissan. The vehicle had 76,000 miles on it at the time of purchase, and now has 89,000 miles on it. We recently noticed an issue with the cars transmission. When we are driving, the car will knock when shifting gears and it also makes this rumbling or shaking vibration feeling. We researched the issue and found that Nissan had defective radiators installed in the 2005/2006 models that caused fluid from the radiator to leak into the transmission, causing transmission failure and necessary transmission replacement. We took our car to the transmission shop to confirm that this was the issue, and it was. The owner of that shop called the dealer we purchased the car from, where it was confirmed the defective radiators were installed on this model and several others. Nissan didnt issue a recall, but instead extended their warranty to 80,000 miles. Since our vehicle was at 89,000 miles, the dealer instructed us to call the Nissan Consumer Affairs dept. to explain the problem and try to get them to cover the cost of the repair. I contacted them, reported the issue, got a file number (#**) and was told I need to take the vehicle to a certified Nissan repair shop and get a diagnostic report sent over to them. We took the car to Central Valley Nissan. They were aware of the defective radiator problem and agreed that we should have been informed of this problem at the time of purchase, especially since it was so close to the warranty cut off. They put us in a rental telling us we cannot drive this car in its current condition and said they will deal with corporate. We were just notified after 2 days that corporate has denied our claim, stating that our mileage is past the warranty cut off. They instructed me to call Nissan Consumer Affairs again and talk to a supervisor about my case. I tried to speak with a supervisor but was told by Layla (Customer Support Rep) that there were no supervisors available and I would need to wait for a call back for 4-6 hours. She refused to transfer me, or even give me the name of the person who would be calling me. I am so extremely disappointed in the way this is being handled. Nissan installed defective parts in thousands and thousands of vehicles but instead of recalling the parts they just extended a warranty but then didnt notify any of the customers. In every single report I have read from other customers with this same issue, they only found out about the defective radiator after it caused a problem with their transmission. Nissan had a responsibility to their consumers to notify them of this defect and to provide them with information on how to get it repaired/replaced. This is 100% Nissans fault, and I cannot believe the run-around I am getting. What I find equally amazing, is that in most reports the radiator didnt start causing problems until after 80,000 miles, and that is where Nissan stopped the coverage. This is a pathetic move by this company. I was happy with my Nissan, very happy, but because of this issue now I will never purchase another Nissan vehicle again. This defect is going to cost us thousands of dollars in repairs, and I have no choice but to repair the vehicle because we still have 3 years left on our loan. I am truly saddened, and extremely angry with the way Nissan handled this.
I have been a Nissan customer since 2004 and was happy with the brand until one of my Nissans started having issues. I purchased a Nissan extended warranty when the car was new and unfortunately it ended up being a waste of money. My car is a Roadster and it is making some loud noises during closing it and has excessive wind noise along with rattles. The dealer, St. Charles Nissan, said it is normal operation to avoid a repair under extended warranty. They even charge me a diagnostic fee for that. It is obviously not normal based on hundreds of top related online complaints so I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs for their help. They basically said they can not force the dealer to do anything. Since they do not care about their customers, I will find another brand for our future car purchases.
I have continued problems with my 2009 Altima which I have not exceed 110,000 miles. Speaking with your dealer service department they want to charge $120.00 to run a test and find out if the problem with the transmission is still under warranty. Which to me is confusing if your consumer affairs say the CVT is under warranty until 2019 or 120,000 miles I have not exceed either. Ive never had a car with this amount of issues even when I was buying used cars. I never owned a Nissan and with the experience Im having and the issue Ive had in the past I will never purchase or own one again. Several of my friends who drive or have driven Nissan products have had bad experiences as well.
Music and satnav repeatedly keep freezing and als system reboot - I have noticed over the last few months my juke sound and navigation console has been doing the above quite frequently and this is very annoying. I have not added any aux items and was hoping Nissan would have come out with a patch / updated software to fix this glitch, but although there are literally in the hundreds on media including social media, Nissan have not mentioned this or say they have got a patch or even working on it, pray tell me why.
Ive bought Nissan Almera (Nissan Teana, name in Thailand) on Dec. 2013 and feel some vibration during the ride in the third week. Id contacted with the dealer to tell the problem Ive found. I made an appointment to check whats wrong with my car. After checking, they tell me that my car is normal. After that Ive found jerky in the second month. After consulting with the technicians from Jatco, they indicated theres a problem from the gear and propose to change the gear for me.I hardly accept this. I bought a new car; like any customers, I hopefully find the normal car, at least; no problem, anxiety-free, safety indeed, no need to fix or change the primary compartment of the car (in my opinion, gear is the significant compartment of the car) in a short time. During the arguments, Ive found some ignorance and worst of all, the representative gave a lie to me!! I wrote the letter to Nissan Japan and Nissan Motor Thailand but it didnt help. Nissan Japan said that Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has complete authority over Nissans product and service in Thailand. Now that the lemon law in Thailand is not strong enough, all I can do is to tell anyone in Thailand, and also in another country about the problem. By now there are customers in Thailand facing the same problem. Finally, I will not recommend NISSAN to anyone in Thailand or anywhere.
Have experienced a Hatchback 2009 that locked and wont unlock. Also had recall on the emulator and the airbags. I only have 49,000 miles on it but am afraid to go far because of these problems.

My 2007 Altima hybrid died now several times without warning, had to tow it to this dealer because they are the only one who can apparently do the diagnostic. So they charge hundreds of $$ to find out that there is a blown fuse, which they replaced, but it blows again. Solution? Change all four engine coils, because this is what causes it. Why? Do not know, but they can try to find out if I agree to pay $160 an hour to investigate some more. Yes, this happens second time on a VERY low mileage vehicle, and yes it is a common problem with Altima Hybrids, but there is not much they can do. And no, they will not call Nissan on your behalf but I definitely should - they even give me a number. So I pay (again) a $1000 dollars for a trivial and premature repair, which should have never happened, and not knowing what causes it.I called Nissan, and after several days of phone calls and interviews, I was they do not see any problem because the car is not under warranty. Really? Privately, all mechanics know that there is a problem, and clearly there is something wrong with the vehicle. And yet not only Nissan refuses to stand behind their product, but they penalize the customers over and over again by making to pay them excessive and unreasonable cost to diagnose a known problem? I guess no more Nissans in my future and I will have to switch cars asap, because I simply cannot afford such an unreliable and unpredictable vehicle. I was lucky it happened when I was only 5 miles away from a dealership. What if you are on a trip? Stay away from Nissans. Oh, they are very very polite.
The company I work for invested in a fleet of Nissan nv200 cargo vans. I happen to look after maintenance of these vehicles. After using these vehicles for some time weve come to realize it was the worst investment ever. Common issues weve seen at 70k or less. -Rear bearings wear out at~ 30-50ks. -Sliding doors are very hard to close, worst in cold weather. -Back door handle stuck open. (9 of company vans) -Vehicle struggles to move itself even when empty at high speeds. -Cvt transmission is more like a 2 gear tranny constantly shifting back and forth between overdrive (lowest gear) and high gear. -Advertised gas consumption can hardly be met. Nv200 burns a lot of gas considering its a very weak vehicle (average of 12.8 lt/100k). -Extremely non aerodynamic, wind really hurts its performance especially on high speeds 100+. (not fit for highway drives) -Windows start to get stuck at 1 year old.-Last but not least this vehicle is NOT built to handle any accidents. Two 2018s written off due to a fender bender.
My SUV was diagnosed with a manufacturing defective transmission and now has issues with the transmission cooler pipes splitting causing cross contamination between the radiator coolant & transmission fluid. Which resulted in a failure to the automatic transmission. The cross contamination had to have a new transmission, transmission cooler hoses & radiator replaced. I called Nissan Corp and they are refusing to take responsibility. I told them that they are putting families in a dangerous situation. I also explained to them when I purchased my vehicle they were well aware of the situation but concealed that information from me and I let them know that I was pregnant at the time with our 4th child and needed the 3rd row thats why we traded, so I did not appreciate that information being concealed from me and putting my children in a unsafe vehicle. Nissan has caused me to almost wreck 3 times.This has caused so much stress on me and my family. I have reached out to Nissan Corp several times with they refused to fix it or return it and give me my money back. And also I delivered my baby 10 days later after I purchased the Pathfinder and the Pathfinder had about 70,000 miles on it already so the transmission could had easily went out at any time since it had known problems that were concealed from me and caused a very dangerous situation for me and my baby because when I bought the vehicle they concealed the information knowing that it could happen at any time and refused to let me know even though my husband and I both asked if anything was wrong with the vehicle and they told us no they check the vehicles before they sell them by their mechanics. Something needs to be done before someone gets killed. My Pathfinder only has 123,000 miles on it.
I bought a Certified Used 2010 Nissan Murano SL with 31,339 miles on 01/31/2013 from Crowley Chrysler Plymouth, Inc. I also opted for the Nissan Security Plus Extended Protection Plan when I bought the car. I am very happy with the car and all of the car’s features. It is exactly what my wife and I needed. I do, however, have one issue since buying the car.On 03/11/2013, I took the car in to my local dealer for routine servicing. The car had 34,099 miles at the time. The dealer asked if the car had its 30,000 mile servicing. I did not know, but I assumed the answer was yes since the car was certified. I had attempted to get the service records on the car from Crowley, but they declined to give them to me saying that there were privacy concerns giving me another client’s maintenance records (I thought this was odd at the time, but did not challenge it). My current dealer offered to check with Crowley service to see if the car did in fact receive its 30,000 mile servicing. The answer he got was no. So I requested that this servicing be done and also asked for the car to be inspected.Upon receiving my bill, I was a little shocked. The bill was $1,393.01! Here is what was done: 30,000 mile required maintenance per Nissan manual; the car needs 4 new tires to pass inspection. The rear two tires tread was below standard, and the front two were very close to being below standard. Since this is an all-wheel drive car, the dealers recommended that all four tires be replaced. I agreed; and the alignment was out on all four tires, therefore an alignment was required. Since I was buying a certified used car, I did not expect any of these issues to be present. Question: shouldnt these issues have been taken care of by the dealer that sold me the car? Resolution: after several conversations with Nissan, I was told that there was nothing that Nissan could do, and that I should try to work something out with the two dealerships.Nissan Certified Vehicles Program is a scam. It allows the dealership to ask more for a certified vehicle, but gives the client no assurance that they are getting something in the deal. Unless you are willing to check all of the 150+ items on the certified checklist prior to purchase, you will be holding the bag if something is wrong later. In my case, the rear tires were just in spec. (5/32) at the dealership where I bought the car and not able to be inspected (2/32) on my first visit to my local dealership a little over 2,000 miles later. Nissan did not stand behind their process and left me in the middle between two dealerships - a losing proposition for anyone finding themselves in this position.
On May 21, 2014 I purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima with 40 miles. When I was about to drive off I noticed a dent in the front bumper and I was written a promise letter stating that Nissan will replace to front bumper. Today is June 6, 2014 and my car has yet to be repaired. I am so freaking angry. The only thing Nissan do is give me excuse after excuse. I am so pissed off that Nissan would even give me a car with a dent. I have emailed Nissan my problem and I still have not been giving my promises. What should I do??????
First and last Nissan that we will own. In short, the Nissan consumer affairs division exists to read a bulletin back to you regarding any warranty, claim, or recall regardless of the situation. If you have recurring issues with your vehicle, prepare to be disappointed and spend a lot of money. On a positive note, the local dealership has always maintained a friendly demeanor when explaining the astronomical repair bills.
I acquired my 2015 Rouge SL (premium package) this Spring. It has now has 3,000 miles on it and it has been in the Nissan shop for a new computer system and a new transmission thus far. It was in the dealership shop from May 27th -June 18th. I was told my new transmission was on back order until mid July. When I requested that they then needed to take back my new car and exchange it for a new one because they have had it for over 30 days, Nissan mysteriously bumped up my car in line and it was completed on the 18th of June making it only 22 days. I requested that they replace my car as it is obviously compromised and defective. It is not running at 3,000 miles. How am I to expect it to run at 70,000 miles? They said no. I then requested a 150,000 mile bumper to bumper extended warranty to ensure it would continue to run. They again said no but offered a 100,000 mile warranty that only covered the transmission, not the defective computer system, etc.. Again I say how can I count on my car to run at 70,000 or even 50,000 miles when it doesnt run at 3,000? There are multiple things wrong with this car, including the extremely expensive computer system that they are not addressing. The Nissan Corp has been extremely difficult to work with and they refuse to take back their defective product or stand behind the product.
First time purchase of a loan/lease. Signed a lease with loan prices ($337 month). Total purchase price 2015 Rogue $34,000. Error was noticed by purchaser same day at dealership. When brought to attention of dealer, more or less too bad. All they had to do was tear up the lease form and attach correct monthly price to a lease $134 month. $14,000 to purchase at end of lease or the proper monthly payment, $337 month with the last payment, vehicle is mine... maybe 10 mins of their time on paperwork. Instead of 23 months trying (by me) to get the thing correct. Notified every agency of the error including THE WHITE HOUSE with no luck. Money hungry (Nissan) outfit. Matter went to court March 2017. It is still undecided.
I have worst experience with my new pathfinder, it shakes very bad at slow RPM. I took it to dealership. They kept my car about a week and returned after added 160 miles on it and told me it is all done, they updated the software but guess what, it didnt work. Very next day, I had to take my car again. It is still there, no answer, no explanation. Dealership said nissan has a issue with pathfinder, then why they need to launch this vehicle.
Coming from a Loyal Nissan customer FOR ELEVEN PLUS YEARS, I am disgusted at their lack of care and concern for issues that my recent lease CAME WITH. I just signed this lease, trading in my old one at the end of May. I will NEVER go with Nissan again after my recent experiences with the Patchogue, NY Dealership and Consumer Affairs absolute lack of care and effort to mend anything. Problems at the dealership level have left me going to Consumer Affairs which were of no further help at all. They act as if all of this is out of their hands and there is nothing to do to reassure their efforts at trying to make me satisfied.They cannot get one person on the phone to speak with me. I have had issues regarding my new 2018 lease 3 months in, leaving it in the shop to be repaired with NO ETA of time it will be done (because items are back-ordered) and ready for me to drive again. Though they did mention maybe some time in October... awesome because I dropped off my car on 8/27. I also only get this info through voicemails because every time I try to call back it goes to voicemail and I wont receive another call until they have their scheduled time to call me back. Horrible customer service and quality of care.My new lease has a safety brake issue where the auto safety break will go off when no one is around, breaking my car while going 40+ mph. Apparently this is a VERY COMMON issue (talk about safety) with ALL Nissan models starting with the VIN K. So Id check your VIN because I am sure if you dont say anything about it, they wont either. I have also had the issue of my backup camera lagging and freezing as backing up since the beginning. There was no point to even use it because it was inaccurate and dangerous to do so. My radio has also just decided to black out one day for a good 10 minutes. Couldnt do anything about it. This is my THIRD time back to the dealership where they finally kept the car to fix it fully, even after showing them video evidence of my experiences the second time I went back.Patchogue has provided me a loaner of not even the same model or year of my current Rogue lease. Which is fine and I normally wouldnt care, BUT at this point, still paying for a new lease yet driving around an older vehicle for over a month has me fuming. I have been polite and patient up until now. The back and forth phone calls that go nowhere are leaving me stressed and in disbelief with this company. I am in shock and SO dissatisfied with all this new 2018 Nissan Rogue and Nissan Customer Service has come with. This is my fourth Nissan, third lease. I have NEVER had an experience like this. I am beyond shocked and pissed.
I actually got a very good deal on this warranty when we bought a new Nissan Rogue in 2019. It added four years on the factory warranty. We have not used it yet but have full confidence it will be effective. As effective as the factory warranty.
Purchased a used Nissan GTR from Atlanta, classic cars within two months the radio and transmission failed. Took the car to Nissan to see if they could repair the transmission they said no but went on to say they would replace it at a cost of $18000. Said it wasnt covered under warranty. Had to have the car trucked across town to have it fixed since Nissan didnt know how to repair it. The car was driven into the Nissan repair shop but when they took the transmission oil pan off the car to check it the car was no longer able to be driven and I had to have it trucked to my home and then to the repair shop across town for the repair.The shop across town had the transmission repaired in under a week. The car drove better than when I first purchased it. Cost me over 5000 dollars for the repair for which Nissan didnt pay a dime. Nissan also charged me $1034.00 to check the transmission that they could not repair which rendered the car undrivable. Lesson learned - dont ever buy a Nissan. Never again in my lifetime. Big rip off. Nissan left parts out of the tranny that they knew would cause it to fail and then didnt want to foot the bill to repair it. Nissan sucks.
Called Nissan customer affairs talked to a Trey. No help... Asked to talked to his supervisor then talked to a Alica (not sure on name). Voiced my disconcern with my customer service at a dealership. Asked for Alica for a email with her name and my case number. Said she would. Well she had Trey call me back then he said he would. Keep in mind they dont have employee ID numbers and cant use last names. They work in your Tennessee office. Neither one of Nissan customer affair case workers could send me a simple email. All they wanted to do was close the case which I had to call and have re-opened 1st time. Basically its waste of time to complain to them. Almost sure nothing was done or will be done. Best they could with all their experience suggest a I get a second opinion... I felt like the dealership was being shady.
Just bought a 2015 Nissan Rogue SL - Lynnes Nissan. Problem with the transmission getting stuck. Shift gear getting stuck on drive. Can not move in reverse, park or in low gear. Car is a lemon. Want an exchange!
Out and about with my wife. Parked our Nissan Altima and returned one hour later. Car wouldnt start. Key symbol appeared on the dash. Walked home and retrieved other key fob. Still wouldnt start. Googled the issue and found out that hundreds of other Nissan Altima owners had same issue. Called Nissan, they took my info and got back to me the next day with a sorry, warranty has expired, we cant help you so $970.02 out of pocket. Im pissed! With the amount of occurrences, this issue should have been a recall at the expense of Nissan. I wont be buying another Nissan. How does one go about starting a class action suit?
This is the first time I have purchased a Nissan. I am pretty sure I will never again. I have been to the shop numerous times for things that should not be happening in the first year. The underneath trim which is supposedly useless has fallen off twice. My brakes squeaks (which I dont understand why) never had another car that did unless brakes pads need to be changed. Oh and that has already have been done. The wheel well had to be replaced twice as well.Along with all the starter issues. Seems to me that pieces of a brand new car that has been repaired twice on two separate pieces should not be falling off. And for Nissan not to care that I have been to the dealership as often as I have. I think I have been there way too often for my liking. Very disappointed in the things happening to this car and Nissan reaction to my concerns is so concerns of theirs. When I first purchased the car another customer by the car talked so highly about Nissan in general so I was excited to have a good quality car and that is far from what I have had since purchasing.
The rudest people. Don’t get even a little behind. They hound you daily starting at 8 am, and continue several times a day. I literally just made a payment to get caught up, but because it didn’t cover 100% (not even 30 days past yet), I get an ignorant, barely understandable rep berating me at 8 in the morning. A daily occurrence. Greedy, condescending and arrogant people.
They never offered to help during the pandemic, I had to call out of desperation to see if there was anything they could do because I lost my job due to covid-19 and have no source of income. They extended my loan as I stayed out of a job for the past 3 months and now, according to them, the pandemic is over and I should have a source of income by now and make my payments. TRILLION DOLLAR COMPANY really penny pinching and can’t do anything to help their customers during this time of need. Real classy.
Purchased a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum brand new. Has 24K miles on it and all 4 tires are bald. My wife has hydroplaned with our 16 month old and our 4 month old in the car and almost crashed. We had to stop driving it. At first we thought that Bridgestone would be responsible but after talking to them we found that they do not offer a tire warranty on OEM tires. This is because the manufacturer, Nissan in this case, sets the specifications by which the tire is to be made.They spec soft rubber on OEM tires in order to get a softer ride and better gas mileage etc. So they are made by the tire manufacturer but to the specs that Nissan sets. In these types of agreements between car manufacturers and tire manufacturers the tire company offers no warranty on the tires because they know the rubber specs that car manufacturers set is inferior. Nissan buys poor quality tires with a name brand on them at dirt cheap prices, put them on all their cars and neither company takes any responsibility for the poor product.We have talked with Nissan consumer affairs until we are blue in the face and they will not lift a finger to help. They did not even offer to try to help us work with Bridgestone or our dealership to get a discount on new tires. They have literally offered no kind of help at all. Nissan designed the rubber compound, Nissan put them on their cars and passed them off as high quality, and Nissan should stand behind everything they put on their cars. Especially when they are directly responsible for the design and performance. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM NISSAN!
Highly recommend you reconsider ever doing business with this company because they 100% do not care about customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, customer problems with their vehicles... Wont work with you to find a solution when they sell you a faulty product. Do NOT abide by their customer warranties. Its been 9 months of absolute hell with a brand new 2020 Altima. Completely appalled at the atrocities this company allows. Had so many repetitive issues they failed to fix and their only solution was that I trade it in so they could get MORE money from me! Completely disgusted with the dealership, consumer affairs and arbitrations.
As a woman having heard of the many poor business practices against woman in the car dealership and services centers, prior to taking my car in for a scheduled oil change I contacted the Lancaster Nissan Service Center and posed the question if they would perform an oil change on my vehicle if I purchased my own oil and oil filter. I was informed by the gentleman over the telephone that Lancaster Nissan does perform oil changes for customers who bring in their own oil and oil filter and was quoted a price of approximately $16.95. Having scheduled the appointment online and being quoted approximately $89 (with their oil and oil filter), after calling and verifying that I could purchase my own oil and oil filter, I emailed the person who sent me a confirmation of my scheduled appointment asking that a note be made that I will purchasing my own oil and oil filter approximately 5 days prior to my scheduled appointment. I arrive for my scheduled appointment and check in with the representative at the service desk and inform him that the oil purchased and oil filter for this appointment are on the floor on the passenger side. He informs me that the price of the oil change will cost approximately $15 plus tax. I inform him that I am aware as I had previously called and that I would also like to have the old oil filter returned to me. His response was, Ok whatever you say. Although I did not inform him of why I wanted the old oil filter returned, the purpose in my doing so was to ensure that it was indeed replaced. I handed the representative my keys only for him to return approximately 10 minutes later informing me that he was just told that Lancaster Nissan does not perform oil changes unless the customer uses their oil and oil filter. This was puzzling as I previously called to inquire if it was possible and received a quote, and also upon checking in, the representative quoted me a price with me having brought in my own oil and oil filter as well. He indicated that the owner just informed him of this. I asked to speak with the owner whose business card reads General Manager, and he indicated that this is their policy. I asked the owner to see the policy in writing and he informed me that they do not have it in writing as they have never had this type of issue. I asked the owner how it was that I called to inquire of the practice, emailed a representative who sent me confirmation of my appointment, and was also quoted a price at check in upon informing the representative where the oil and oil filter was, that now, all of a sudden it is a policy that cannot be produced in writing. His response was that they have never had this issue arise which is very hard to believe, being that Lancaster Nissan Dealership/Services Center has been in Lancaster for many years. The purpose of this review is to make woman aware of this poor service provided by Lancaster Nissan Services Center, in Pennsylvania and the false representations of their alleged policy which the owner could not produce in person. Although I have a copy of the service agreement I was asked to sign to verify the services I requested which note that I purchase my own oil and oil filter, I am unable to attach it as I am not savvy with technology. However, I am willing to take a picture and email it or mail a copy if requested.
I leased a 2017 Nissan Rogue and a little after the first year its been nothing but problems and I have been fighting Nissan over a year now!! Truck keeps dying intermittently, replaced the battery, still happens, left me out in the cold numerous times, been flat-bedded to dealership numerous times, also gives me problems detecting the key-fobs saying no key detected. I asked Nissan to get me out of the lease since the truck is unreliable and unsafe, and they have been giving me excuse after excuse. Ive lost a lot of time, money, and patience with this truck and will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY FROM NISSAN!!
I recently bought a Nissan Juke. My Cube had died at 260000 miles after it carried me through 7 of my 14 Caravan To Catch a killer tours for my daughter. It seemed I got a pretty good interest rate with Nissan finance. 3 days before the first payment was due March 13th I attempted to go online and was able to access the website. March 13th was my first payment since I bought the card January 28th but on March 12th it was telling me I was already past due one payment than that old 800 dollars. I still decided to try to play them and I knew was due. but when I tried to access the Bill Matrix every time I click on it it would not open. The next morning the 13th, I went on Nissan finances website and every time I click make a payment it kicked me off the website. Id sign back in, it kicked me out.Then I tried calling twice. First it said it couldnt find my account by my social security numbe. At first, it wouldnt take my account number then when it finally did, instead of giving payment options, it sent me to talk to somebody but people dont man phones on weekend and hung me up - ten-to-one it was sending me somewhere for being overdue which I wasnt. This was on the 12th and I didnt owe 2 payments. Finally last night I went on and got on the website and actually opened bill matrix. I needed an option putting it on the credit card and it listed discover as an option. I put in my account number and all the other information and click on choose payment, it only gave me the option of debit card or check... again possibly because it was saying I was past due which I wasnt.Today Monday, it is a day late. I have called 4 times and each time I was on hold for 33 minutes before I hung up. The last time I started at 515 Central Standard Time and was still on hold until 6 w. They closed their real life people at 7. Im right in the process of trying to push for a law here in Oklahoma and at times must use my credit to help support it through publications etc as well as travel on my CARAVAN tours to seek tips for daughters killer. And there is no email or direct way to get through.
When I went to lease the 2017 Nissan Leaf the salesman made it sound like it was great. You would get 100 mi per charge and they would give you a card that for one year you could use at any EZ GO charging stations to get your 30 minute charge which should bring the charge to approx 100 miles. They neglect to tell you a few choice things like if you are freezing or too hot and turn on the air conditioning and/or heat you immediately loose approx 17 mi. Also, if you drive on the highway you are not regenerating energy and eating it at a fast pace. Other tidbits they left out are that contrary to what I was told the charging stations are everywhere and easy to find. NOT TRUE. THERE IS ONLY ONE, in all of Stockton. Many times I go to charge and there are waiting lines... Even from people who are not Nissan purchasers, but BMW or Chevy. So you have to wait for them to finish and then charge your car which takes approx 30 min...My latest distress happened today when I drove across town to charge. I repeatedly put charge in and followed instructions... But it did not work. I called EZ GO and was told that they had known about it for two days... That there were issues involving higher up approval and they could do nothing. Again this is the ONLY one in Stockton. Finally I went to the manager of Nissan Lithia... Raymond ** who was rude and acted like he did not want to help. I explained my problem and he said that the Nissan Chasers were actually owned and service by Nissan Corp. I asked him what I was supposed to do and he said google it and left. Very unhelpful man. I called Corporate and found out that the dealerships are indeed the owners of these and that I had been given misinformation... Oh imagine that-- and that they did have full responsibility over the chargers. I had also asked what I was supposed to do as I needed to travel and was afraid of running out of electricity. He said he didnt know and that I should google same. When I spoke to corporate they said that they would have recommended the roadside assistance program who will come out and tow you to the nearest working dealership and there would be NO charge. Any manager in his right mind would or should know this. Would I buy or lease a leaf again... Absolutely not and especially form Nissan Lithia. I have called Nissan Corp and reported same but have not received an answer. I am starting a class action lawsuit so if anyone wants to join me contact me at **. Nissan will not stand by their bumper to bumper warranty. After just purchasing my brand new Nissan Titan XD 5 days later paint was coming off the front bumper. After working with the local dealer McLarty Nissan in Little Rock and Nissan manufacturer they took the word of some service tech that it was damage. But could not give me any facts on how they arrived at this. When I gave them numerous points and showed them how easily paint was coming off. If I could send my truck back today I would. Do not buy this foreign crap as they will take your money. Buy at your own risk and assume it is a Buy as is.
In October of 2012 I bought a brand new 2013 Nissan Versa. Great little car with excellent gas mileage. Within a month I heard a very loud rattling noise coming from underneath. I called the Nissan Service Dept and was told Oh yeah, thats the heat shield. There is a defect in it, just bring it in and we will fix it. I took it in and Nissan replaced it - no problem. 3 months later the same thing happened so I took it in again. About 8 months later it happened again. Now I purchased a new car because I drive 82 miles a day to work and back. And now, it happened again. 4 times within a 2 year period.Now because of the mileage, if I want it fixed, I have to pay for it. So how much is it?? Well they dont know because in order to give me a price, they have to look at the vehicle. They are unable to determine the price of the part needed and add it to their labor charges to give me a ball park idea of it will cost. So I send an email to the management team who calls me to let me know they cant replace the part for me for free, even though they know it is defective, but they are willing to let me trade it in and put me in a newer model Nissan that doesnt have any defects. Now if this is how they treat their loyal customers when something goes wrong, why on earth would I buy another car from them???
Auto body shop cannot complete a repair due to the dashboard not available. They (Nissan) have given me dates several times and still no part for over 6 weeks... I call them and it’s the usual smoke and mirrors...they just run their mouths and get nothing done... Car is unusable without the dash... They have basically done nothing to help get this car back on the road.
Based on the horrific service with the representatives for Consumer Affairs, I will not purchase another Nissan as I planned to next year. You call and your rep NEVER picks up phone. Play phone tag for days. Terrible service.
I have three case numbers for the same issue with Nissan USA (**). All of my correspondence should be included with each case number. The attached comment below was my last comment back to Nissan USA. I have offered to take part of the responsibility of the repair and pay the labor. I paid to have parts replaced that were in good working order. (Both catalyst) due to a known defect in the manifold upper tubing 2004/2007. The vehicle was passing DEQ every time I had tags renewed, which, I had done in November of 2014. I have no way of knowing when the manifolds cracked. If a notice had been sent out I would have taken my Armada in to be checked. The cracks were very small and in the same place on both of the old manifolds. The dealer was obviously aware of the issue. The service manager told me when he showed me the old manifolds, Nissan corrected the issue by adding a weld to the manifold to prevent it from cracking. I hope this can be taken to another level of review.This is my 4th Nissan and will probably be my last. If Nissan was truly interested in keeping customers for life they would at least cover the parts due to the nature of the issue. Had a notification been sent out in regard to the issue I would have taken the vehicle in to be repaired. Nissan basically covered their butt by extending the warranty and not notifying their customers of the issue --- WRONG --- this issue needs to go to a level above whoever is reviewing my case. I will pursue my case with the Consumer Protection Agency.
I gave my car for the service which supposed to be under warranty. Initial phone from customer service asking for $300 and later on final bill more than $500!!! For flushing the fuel path!!! The labor rate was $135.0 per hour and calculated for 3 hours. Most of the service person I encounter as novice apprentice!!! And the topping was the annoying service manager (Mike) seems that he was hand picked from. I believe the Nissan business in North Vancouver is very dull and slow and the service manager wants to make money but its a rip off.
I got my Versa on November 2014. I am having problems already. It sounds and has problems like a old car. The shocks/struts are not working at all, the engine leaking oil on and off, air conditioner making funny noises and taking engines power every time that comes on. The engine while idling makes a loud noise and keep doing a clicking sound and the brakes pedal had stuck/locked about couple times already.
This vehicle has been the best model that we have ever purchased. It is a 2003 model, but we have never had to have any major work done. The dealership had a reputation of honesty. The vehicle had a good look and when we test drove it, it drove so smoothly. We took it on back roads to try how it handled on curves and small potholes. The only thing I dislike is that the passenger side seatbelt locks as soon as the vehicle starts, with much discomfort until I release it and put it back on.
I have a brand new Nissan Rogue. I live in Colorado and sometimes have to park under trees during the day for work. Other than that, the vehicle is kept in a garage and is washed frequently as I use the car to pick up business clients at the airport sometimes and want a good professional impression. Last week during a few days that seemed like spring here, a group of robins in a tree above my car managed to use my car for target practice. When I got in the car at about 6:00 p.m., I noticed the droppings and took it to a professional car wash the next morning at 8:00 a.m. on my way to work; only the droppings didnt wash off. The bird droppings damaged the seal coat and now I have dull smears all over my shiny new car. We hand washed, tried wax, took it to an auto body shop for their advice and then to the Nissan car dealer we bought it from. They said that they had seen this before from bird droppings and the only way to get it right was to repaint. This is a $27K car. Seriously, I cant drive anywhere where birds exist from now on or I need a new paint job? So here is where we are. Even if they do manage to fix the spots that exist on the car now, throughout ownership of this car, I will have to protect it constantly or expect to drastically reduce value every time a bird flies over! This is ridiculous to expect that paint on a vehicle can get totally ruined within 24 hours by bird droppings. Needless to say, this has and will greatly reduce the value of the vehicle. I am going to file an official complaint with Nissan and if they do not give any results, I will pursue this all the way up the ladder. Anyone else having this problem with new Nissan products?
In May 2014 I purchased a used 2010 Nissan Frontier pickup truck from Lynnes Nissan west in Stanhope N.J. They talked me into purchasing a bumper to bumper warranty. In May 2015 the airbag light came on, and I took to them for repair, they wanted $125 to diagnose the problem. It was told to me then that there is no such warranty and airbags arent covered. I called corporate headquarters in Tennessee and expressed a safety concern about it and was told by them upon reviewing my case there is nothing they would do for me. I took the vehicle to another Nissan dealer and had to pay $1242 for a new air bag due to a short. I tried to explain to Nissan that this is a safety issue and a defect in the vehicle and should be repaired at no cost to me, but they don t care about their customers safety or any defects after sale is made. This was the first and last Nissan I will ever buy. This company should be held liable for all safety defects without question.
The dash in my 2008 Altima is melting. The melted dash causes a glare when I drive and may have resulted in my recent accident.
I bought a 2016 Versa Note in 2016 and while I love my car and have had no problems with the car itself at all - dealing with the finance department of Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp (NMAC) has been a nightmare. It was ok the first few months. They offer FREE one time payment through their website as well as recurring autopayments and then over the phone methods of paying which charge fees ranging from 7 to 12 bucks. They have taken duplicate payments in August and when I called about it they stated they were going to refund one of them - which they never sent the refund out to me yet on the account it showed a reversed payment so the system kept reporting that I had not paid. As they had never sent the refund and still had my duplicate payment for that month I had actually paid a month in advance yet the system continued to show I hadnt paid Augusts payment at all. I called and spoke with multiple people who all confirmed my next payment would not be due until October. In September the system took YET ANOTHER payment. Note - this is now $975 of payments that the system is only showing $325 having been received. I called AGAIN and said they needed to get my money back to me ASAP. I was put on hold for 45 minutes while he spoke with a supervisor and then it dropped my call. I call back and of course its a new person and theres no note on my account about a refund. This person says the fastest way to get my money is to call the bank and stop the payment. I stop the September payment with my bank which cost me 25 bucks and call Nissan back to tell them to forget it I fixed it myself. Nissan says - Oh I see in the system theyve issued you a refund check. I said - Guess you better call your bank and pay the stop payment fee like I just had to do! Apparently they didnt. I get the refund check in the mail and ignore it. Im sick of being put on hold and having to call them every damn day at this point. WELL - because I did the stop payment - per Nissans advice - AND they sent a refund check the system reversed the September payment that they took without my permission, and the SECOND August payment! So now the system shows that I havent paid since July.To recap - $325 + $325 taken in August - refund of $325 never received yet recorded in system manually by person who said I could have one imaginary refund reversed the duplicate August payment in the system though I never actually got my money back (Nissan still has my $650 - Aug and Sept payment). $325 taken in Sept - stop payment reversed the Sept payment. Nissan issued a refund even though I told them I fixed it myself and to stop their check (they didnt). System reversed the Sept payment owing to the refund (it reverses once the check is cut not when you cash the check). System then reversed the FIRST August payment owing to the stop payment.So - I have now paid $975 dollars in 2 months and gotten $325 back yet Nissan continues to tell me I owe them $650 dollars plus late fees. To which I laughed hysterically in their ear and hung up. I took some shots and called back and I FINALLY get a supervisor which I have asked to speak to no less than 6 times since August and I break it all down for her repeatedly until she understands what has occurred. She says - deposit the check in my account and make a $655 payment to fix the September payment and pay October.+325 Aug 1. +325 Aug 2 (should count toward Sept). +325 Sept. -325 Refund (for Sept payment taken which is now a double). + 655 Pay Sept and Aug 2 payment that I actually already paid and never got a refund for but the system thought I did). So I stop the auto payments because ** them and do one time payment in November. I get the thank you email on Nov 14, the your payment is processing email November 15, and then it never hits my account. By today Im like CRAP guess I gotta call. I call them and theyre telling me how this is a problem with my bank. NO - you are the common denominator. This is a problem WITH YOU.I told them I will not pay late fees and I will not have this hitting my credit account and that I wanted it in the notes on my account that I want to give them money and they dont want to take it. They want me to use BILL MATRIX which charges 12 bucks to make a payment. Their FREE one time payment method HARDLY ever works THUS FORCING YOU TO USE BILL MATRIX and pay a fee! Im on to their game! I will keep submitting free one time payments and making notes in my account for the rest of my eternity before I pay another payment fee to this disorganized mess of a finance department. This is the hill I will die on. The end.
First of all, thank you for your time in reading my complaint. I am contacting you for help with my 2010 Nissan Sentra. I have been denied coverage on my car with my Nissan Extended Gold Preferred Plus Warranty, and I tried to appeal it through Nissan Consumer Affairs as well. I have exhausted all measures in getting my car repaired through Empire Nissan Lakewood. My Piston Rod went through the Block of my Engine on 6th Avenue. I had the oil changed on 1/17/2017, but that was not the cause to my Engine to blow. Shell Rapid Lube Oil keeps records of all service by Camera and has reviewed the complete service by tape on my car. They are willing to provide that information to legal counsel.My car was purchased on March of 2010. At that time, we purchased a Nissan Extended Gold Preferred Plus Warranty which is good until March 2017 of this year. My maintenance records for 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 were completed at Go Nissan Southwest which is now Larry Miller Nissan in Littleton, Colorado. 12/21/2014 I have records from Firestone that I had an oil change, new tires, and a battery purchase. Mileage on the car at that time was 27,089. 2/20/2015 I have records of all the service I had done at Empire Lakewood Nissan. I would like to point out at that time on page 3 it states I had a possible oil leak, and they resealed the oil pan under my Security Plus Warranty. On page 4 they stated I needed another oil change which is a requirement when repairing an oil pan, but failed to list they did the oil change and stated I declined it. They are stating it is an error they did not list it on my paperwork, and can’t tell me if the used my old oil since it was just changed 12/21/2014, or if they put in new oil. Clearly, a problem they will not address. Mileage on the car at that time was 27,949. Why would I decline an oil change? It should be procedure to change the oil be changes when you repair a leak in an oil pan. What oil did they use? How did they make this repair without completing an oil change? 1/17/2017 My record of oil change at Shell Rapid Lube. Mileage at that time 31,740. As you can see I have kept up with the maintenance on this car since purchase. I am self-employed, and work from and this is why the mileage is slow low on this car. Example: From 12/21/2014-2/20/2015 I put 860 miles on my car. From 2/20/2015-1/17/2017 I put 3,790 miles on my car. I have 2 tow bills which Nissan will not pay for, and I have been declined a rental car which both are included in my Extended Nissan Extended Plus Warranty. Since the purchase of my car in March of 2010 to date, and put an average of $4,535 miles on my car per year. Again, I have all records of maintenance, and oil changes for this car. I have filed complaints with the BBB of TN, BBB of Colorado, Nissan Consumer Affairs, and the Federal Trade Commission. My response from Nissan Extended Warranty Gold preferred is that they will not cover the rebuild of my Engine due to an after market oil change. Nissan is irresponsible, and dishonest. They do not back their cars, and sell warranties at the time of purchase that do not back their vehicles, and repairs. I have had a major mechanical problem with this car, and NISSAN SIMPLY PUT DOES NOT CARE.
I bought a new 2017 Nissan Rogue. The next day from purchase I when slowing down I felt a jerky lunge as if the break locked up and something is getting stuck or going to break, others have stated sounds like transmission issues I contacted the salesman the next day about returning the car and she said dont worry you have good warranty just bring it in we will fix it! So, I made the appointment and service said, We dont find anything wrong. A few weeks later there was a metal rattle noise low idle.Again, we dont find anything wrong with rattle. We will bend this plate, it still made noise. Service said, We drove your car 15 time. We dont feels issues. (lies!). Its been 1 year and the break, lunge pop issues has never been fixed, the sunroof rattles and squeaks, steering wheel squeaks when turning, radio sounds like static, vibrating in dashboard when accelerating are intake button for a/c gets stuck, air conditioning makes a water noise.during service wrong oil was added to my car, antifreeze was below the low line.Been there 5 times for repairs with waiting around 4 hours each visit with no repairs except for the idle. The new car warranty is basically a scam if Nissan doesnt use it. Service advisors all say, we have no problem using the warranty, but then refuse to use warranty to fix repairs. I have never had a car with this many problems in used or new cars. Service states this is Nissan not other cars you cannot compare, obviously because Nissan showed they are bad quality, customer and lower than other car with this many problems! On top of that Nissan has bad resale value only one year and lost more than 1/2 its value, basically buy 2 cars only get 1 - not complete, bad quality, junk car.
I have a 2010 Nissan Versa sedan. I have had the service engine light on almost the entire time Ive had the car, or at least since the warranty ran out. The diagnostic code indicates a fuel system leak, which has already been recalled on other models but not mine. I am also experiencing fuel pressure regulator problems, which was also a technical service bulletin for other Nissan Versas just not my VIN number. Im furious that known problems arent being evaluated properly for all years and/or models. Ive had my car in the shop several times because it wont start, FPR issues. Im spending my money on rental cars and inspections of my vehicle while Im still paying off my Nissan Versa and Nissan isnt doing anything about a problem that is known because they are limiting which VIN numbers to provide service to. However, the dealer who has provided service for other recalls on my vehicle keeps calling me trying to get me to buy another Nissan. I feel they are aware of the problem and instead of offering service they want me to buy another Nissan. Im disgusted with the lack of service for known problems. I feel these issues need to be expanded to other year makes outside of the bulletin as it is tight now.
I live in VA and was driving to Alabama on March 2, 2016. First distance drive with car (2016 Nissan 370Z with 5,000 miles) and the clutch went out in Atlanta on I-85. I was able to drive it to a safe spot but it scared the crap out of me. I-85 in traffic not a good place for the clutch to stick and only able to go in 2nd gear. I had to stay at a hotel in Atlanta. Got up early to take car to dealer and the car would not engage in any gear. Had to have it towed to dealer. The Nissan Dealer in Atlanta did provide a rental car so I was able to continue my journey to Alabama. Was informed that my car would be repaired on my return, Sunday March 4th. Received a call and was told the clutch part was not available in all of North America and would be expedited from Japan. I continued my trip back home to VA in the rental car. I have spoken to the local car dealer in Staunton VA where I purchase the car and they stated a new replacement car could not happen. As I no longer feel safe driving the manual transmission I asked if I could replace the car with a new or fairly new automatic 370Z. I purchased the car in November 2015 with only 25 miles. In reading and researching I have found that other 370Z owners are having the same problem with the clutch. This is a serious safety concern. One in which I could have gotten into an accident. It seems car manufacturers wait until serious accidents occur or death before recalls are issued. I hope and pray the car is completely repaired but hesitate to drive it once it arrives from Atlanta back to VA. Nissan is scheduled to have it delivered from Atlanta to the dealer in Staunton VA some time before the end of March 2016. Ive never purchased a brand new car in which the clutch gave out with less than 5,000 miles. I feel like Im stuck with a car that I no longer want to drive much less pay for. It has crossed my mind to allow a serious hit to my credit score and voluntary repossess the car so that I have peace of mind and feel safe.
I purchased a pre-owned 2012 Nissan Rogue with 25,000 miles January 2013. I have regular scheduled maintenance performed and take pride in the care of my vehicle. This past weekend, 5-14, I had planned a visit to Sarasota to my daughters house but had to replace my alternator and it took a few days to receive the part in so I postponed my trip until the following weekend. I had made it almost to Tampa from Atlanta and I noticed my car was losing power. I could not get it to go over 65 miles per hour. It was also whining. I called the shop that replaced alternator and described what I was experiencing. The mechanic suggest I get off the Interstate and have the computer hooked up to see if it was reading any codes and if not, to get to a Nissan dealership, which I did in Wesley Chapel, FL. After two hours, I was told by my service advisor Naco that he had good news and bad news. The good news was it wasnt going to cost me a penny and the bad news was my transmission had gone out. The car had 61,000 miles on it. I had just turned over the warranty period on my way to Florida. I was traveling alone and 9 hours from my home. I was already upset and nervous as I had just spent $600 on a new alternator before I left. He told me not to cry that it wasnt costing me anything. They were going to put me in another Rogue and send me on my way to visit my daughter and my car would be repaired when I headed back to Atlanta on Monday. My car was loaded with stuff for my daughters new house and he told me that he would get some of his guys to help unload my car and load the loaner. Nissan was replacing my transmission. When I asked why, I was told that they had some problems with that year and model transmissions. The service manager, Joey, was very comforting and couldnt understand why I was still crying (overwhelming)!!!! In about an hour later, as I was getting ready to leave, Naco came to me and said Sorry, Nissan isnt going to pay for transmission because I was 1000 miles over warranty. The loaner now became a rental. He said I was looking at $3600 to replace the transmission. I told him I didnt have $3600 to replace transmission and I shouldnt be replacing the transmission with only the mileage I had on the car.Who does that? Who tells you Nissan is paying and an hour later, tells you they dropped me. Never once was I told I should call Consumer Affairs but he and his staff were making calls on my behalf. Again, I became upset and was in total shock. When I asked why they dropped me, he said that I was out of warranty! 1000 miles and 1/2 of those were on this trip! After verifying that I maintained my vehicle (they called the service center and had my records sent to them), they came back and said I didnt service my car at a Nissan dealership so there was nothing they could do???????? I was in total shock! After another two hours, the service manager offered me a wholesale price of $2850. Still in disbelief, I told them I would have to make some calls to my family for help that I didnt have the money. After leaving in the rental car, I called the dealership where my car was purchased and was told by that service manager that I needed to be calling consumer affairs and open a case number to review my case for assistance. So I did, only to be denied any assistance at all. When I asked to take case a step further, I was told it would be 24-48 hours before anyone would call me back. I begged her (Keona) to forego the 24 to 48 hour period as I am stranded on the side of the road 9 hours from my home. All this to no avail!!! My whole visit to my daughters house was stressful as I was concerned how I was getting home. To be told Nissan was taking care of me and then Sorry, we are not!!! Again, who does that?
I actually want to give you guys no stars! I went into Stadium Nissan in the city of Orange, California to buy my first car. I am a hardworking teenager who works 13-14 hours a day, lives on a month to month rent by myself because I have no parents. I also had to forfeit my scholarship to college because I had to make ends meet by myself. So as you can see, my daily hours are very important. I took off of work and was scheduled for my appointment for a consultation four days ago. My sales representative had me waiting in the sales office for nine hours. This did not bother me at first because I did get my car at the end of the day. One of the floor managers, Remi, also helped me that day. He said that the bank approved my loan and that I was good to go on a $1,300 downpayment and a $345 monthly on a 2010 used Hyundai Elantra. I paid an insurance fee of $300! So I signed all the papers and I now currently own the car. That same day I drove off with the car, the tire pressure light was on! They didnt even service the car right! My sales rep told me to come back the next day to get that taken care of. So I went the next day and they had me waiting for another four hours just to check one tire! I was late to work again because of this! Then two days later (today), I got a call from Remi and he told me that the bank simply changed their mind and that I needed to bring the car back. I dont have time for these games! Technically, I own this car since that day.
On Sept. 24 2014 I bought a NISSAN ROUGE SV color metallic blue. Around 2015-2016 I noticed small paint chipping off on the hood, front bumpers and I thought it was normal so I bought a touch-up kit paint now just about every day I have paint chipping off and to me looks like a cheap one coat paint by NISSAN CORPORATION. I filed a complaint with the Broward General Attorney under the protection of LEMON LAW in Florida. I paid $29300.00 brand new and is being kept in my home garage.
I had my payment deferred on June 28, 2017. The women told me that the payment was deferred. They have charged me a 30 late fee for the last 5 months, but most of all they destroyed my credit! Called them today, and the guy told that they cant do anything to repair the error in my credit, but took off the 30 dollar payment for this month.
I traded in a car at Nissan in July 2011 and purchased a new one. In December 2011, I received two warrants for unpaid parking tickets on the car I traded in July. The tickets were issued in November of this year. Every time I call Melloy Nissan, they will tell me they will take care of it and call me back. No one has returned my calls after numerous messages. The old car is still registered to me and in my name. The license plate was never changed.I have to go to Metro Court, set up a court date with a judge, go back on my court date, show that I dont own the car and hopefully get the tickets dismissed. Until I find the time to go to the courthouse, I could possibly be arrested for unpaid parking warrants. Also, what if someone commits a crime in that car that is still registered to me? I am very concerned.
I had the opportunity to buy a vehicle brand new. I choose a 2004 Nissan Titian! I love this truck. I have taken pride in caring for my truck. I bought the LE Crew Cab in wonderful green color brand new off the floor in 2004 from Coast Nissan in San Luis Obispo. There has been a huge issue that started a year after I bought the truck. The clear coat is coming off the roof of the vehicle and the hood. I have paid for the truck to be waxed, clayed, and restored over the years trying not to pay for the whole truck to be repainted. Although, I have taken many steps to preserve and protect the paint, it’s not! Note that there was another issue with the extras that come with the LE model, heated seats. The driver’s seat almost caught fire and the dealer made me pay for the replacement stating it was my responsibility. I was the one that wanted them. I don’t think I fully understand how Nissan won’t take responsibility for a defective product that could have caused harm or destroyed the vehicle entirely. It is a standard upgrade that comes in the LE model and it is not a customer requested extra! I am writing this just to spread the word about Nissan faulty paint and unaccountable customer care. Although, fixing the paint would be the right thing to do!
Dear Nissan, for everyone that had a car before the policies changed for the 8 payment extensions to 6 payment extensions you should still honor them because we were told something that is no longer being honored. I understand that it is a courtesy, but that doesnt change the fact that you should honor your word to us because when you say something you should do it. Especially for some of us who have been loyal towards our payments and the Nissan Corporation. Also, we never get anything for being a customer. We hardly get discounts and the service team at almost every location is always trying to sell you another car for overpriced numbers. Unsatisfied.
