Nissan Automobile Model 2025 Nissan Altima

2025 Nissan Altima

The 2025 Nissan Altima is a well-rounded midsize sedan that blends practical everyday usability with modern tech and efficient performance. Here’s a breakdown of its key features, strengths, and trade-offs.

Key Features & Highlights.

The base 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine delivers approximately 188 horsepower and around 180 lb-ft of torque.

Fuel economy is strong: up to about 27 mpg city / 39 mpg highway (or roughly 8.2 L/100 km combined in Canadian terms) for FWD versions.

Available all-wheel drive (AWD) gives added traction for climates with snow or mixed conditions.

Tech and conveniences include a large available touchscreen display (up to 12.3-inch), wireless smartphone integration (Apple CarPlay/Android Auto), and a suite of driver-safety systems.

Safety: Standard features under the “Safety Shield 360” umbrella include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear-cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, and more.

Interior and cargo: The Altima offers comfortable seating for five, supportive front seats, a well-appointed cabin in higher trims, and a trunk space around 15.4 cu-ft in the U.S. specification.

What Makes It Good.

Balanced efficiency and performance: The 2.5L engine isn’t high-performance, but for daily commuting and family use it hits a good sweet-spot of power and economy.

AWD availability in a sedan: Many midsize sedans only offer front-wheel drive, so the AWD option adds versatility for adverse weather.

Modern features at a reasonable price: The combination of large screens, smartphone integration, and advanced safety tech makes the Altima competitive in its segment.

Comfort and refinement: The ride is composed, and higher trims lift the cabin feel with better materials and features.

Things to Consider / Trade-Offs.

Not a performance car: While the 188-hp figure is adequate, it won’t match sport sedans in acceleration or handling. If you’re looking for high-geared performance, there are better options.

CVT transmission feel: The Altima uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT) which some drivers find less engaging or slightly laggy compared to traditional automatics.

Rear-seat / third-row limitations: As a five-seat sedan, space is good but not as generous as some larger vehicles or SUVs, so if you regularly carry lots of passengers or cargo you may feel some constraints.

Sedan market trend: As with many brands, the overall sedan segment is shrinking relative to SUVs and crossovers—so resale value and future model support may be factors to monitor.

Ideal Buyer Profile.

The 2025 Altima is ideal for:

Commuters or small families wanting a comfortable, efficient sedan with modern tech.

Buyers in regions where AWD and good winter traction matter, but who still prefer a sedan form-factor.

People who value a strong feature set and safety tech without stepping up into premium luxury pricing.

I purchased my 2011 Nissan Rogue and have experienced this: The car only has 54k miles on it and it blew a head gasket. There were no warnings... The temp gauge went up to high and then the car wouldnt start... Plenty of fluid was in the car. The car was towed to the dealership where I purchased the car. This repair was covered under warranty. The dealership said they consulted Nissan and because it was caused by a cracked radiator the cost were not covered. The estimated cost was 2100-2400.I did some research to find that this is a problem with the radiator leaking up and causing a head gasket to blow. The dealership did work on my car hoping to sell it and place me in another vehicle. This didnt happen because I owe 15k on the car and repair cost of 3000 now to 3500 to fix car. The owners will not release my car until I pay this bill and I never signed anything to do this repair. I had to pay dealership 2100 to get my car back in Cash and I go to drive the car off lot and the car is slipping and making a horrible noise. The oil was extremely low and the car runs like crap. This has been going on for 5 weeks. I do not know what to do.

Dont buy Nissan. Transmissions are going out on vehicles and they wont replace them. I took my car to two Nissan dealerships and they refuse to fix and acknowledge the warranty. Now with my case they wont fix the vehicles and claim that it is past the mileage for warranty. I brought my car to two dealership before the warranty expired. Dont buy. Their transmission are going out.

I just bought a Nissan on April 13th and wanted to inquire about the payoff amount. NMAC informed me that my contract (i.e., purchase date of the vehicle) was March 29th. NMAC then informed me that I have been accruing interest on a vehicle I did not own for two weeks racking up nearly $200 in interest for this timeframe. I was told to contact the dealer to adjust this. Dealer told me to go ** myself speaking with the financing manager. I tried contacting the general manager only to be blown off. Sales manager has been negligent as well. Nissans objective is to sell a vehicle then screw the customer. If I had known this, I would have never bought a Nissan. Now, I am told I am SOL by both the dealer and NMAC. This is flat out fraud. In this economy, customer service is more important than ever. I wonder why Hyundai, a once inferior product, is gaining traction where Nissan is losing traction and value. Nissan and NMAC are prime contributors. We were looking at replacement for the wifes old Mazda and was thinking an Altima. There was no way in ** Id buy another Nissan now.

I bought my Maxima new back in 2005. I recently started having transmission problems. The car only had 51,000 miles. I took it back to the service department next to the dealer I bought it from in New Jersey. They confirmed the transmission needed to be replaced. They also found the timing chain needed to be replaced. The service guys said both should not have to be replaced so soon with the shape the car was in and the low mileage. I opened a case with Nissan North America. They basically said warranty expired, so too bad. Then they told me to take it to the dealer for possible trade in. They would take care of me. Yeah, right. They offered nothing for the trade. Sales knew about tranny and timing chain. New car deal was nothing special. This was second and last Nissan. I have since bought a Kia Optima.

I recently purchased a car from a Nissan Dealer and there was no mention about returning the car if you were not satisfied. I emailed the salesman who practically forced me to sign the deal and he has yet to respond. I was satisfied with the car until night time came and realized how important the extra features would have been. There are no power windows, no power locks, no light on the ignition keyhole, not even a mirror on the sun visor. Im basically paying for a 2015 glorified golf cart for the next 6 years. Im not saying I want to walk away completely from the deal because I know how much these clowns value their commission, but Id like to purchase a better car for the money.

I had to have my 2009 370Z towed to the dealership twice. The dealership did not know the cause and the car just started after some testing. They released the car not knowing if it would do it again. 1-2 weeks later, on a Monday morning, the car did not start after my appointment with a client. The dealership, after weeks of review, could not test out or get the car started. In the meantime, I am working with a gal at consumer affairs. I told her what happened, and a week she called back stating they are not accepting the claim as if it were an owner maintenance issue and 3 months out of warranty. As we found, it was an electrical something in the steering column locking the car down as if it were being stolen. This is certainly not an owner maintenance issue and the car was only at about 32,000 miles. This little bit of time did not affect the outcome and certainly not the mileage. The problem is Nissan did not want to stand behind a known problem in other vehicles with the similar theft deterrent systems, but also because of the cost of replacing the whole steering columns - $1,200 plus. Welcome to my first Nissan experience. I will not buy another.

I came across the mission of your company on your website. Since months I have serious and justified doubts on this mission. Let me explain: My Nissan Trail (1 year old - warranty) that I bought last year in January 2016 in Windhoek, Namibia has been under repair since 27 August 2016 until today (!) after an engine jamming. A long story of promises by the local Nissan dealer has been culminating in a statement by the dealer last Monday, 6 March 2017: We are sorry the engine has no compression and we have to bring it back to repair to the engine workshop. So I am waiting now for more than 7 months for my car with now not any prediction when it is going to be ready. And if it is could Nissan warrant that it is functioning? Engine repair is not standard anymore in Europe, but is overtaxed to customers in Africa. All this questions and more in detail I addressed in a written complaint to Nissan South Africa with not any answer so far. I hope you can address this mismatch between your mission and my experience as soon as possible. A frustrated customer.

Around 2015-2016 I noticed small paint chipping off on the hood, front bumpers and I thought it was normal so I bought a touch-up kit paint now just about every day I have paint chipping off and to me looks like a cheap one coat paint by NISSAN CORPORATION. I live in VA and was driving to Alabama on March 2, 2016. First distance drive with car (2016 Nissan 370Z with 5,000 miles) and the clutch went out in Atlanta on I-85. I was able to drive it to a safe spot but it scared the crap out of me. I-85 in traffic not a good place for the clutch to stick and only able to go in 2nd gear. I had to stay at a hotel in Atlanta. Got up early to take car to dealer and the car would not engage in any gear. Had to have it towed to dealer. The Nissan Dealer in Atlanta did provide a rental car so I was able to continue my journey to Alabama. Was informed that my car would be repaired on my return, Sunday March 4th. Received a call and was told the clutch part was not available in all of North America and would be expedited from Japan. I continued my trip back home to VA in the rental car. I have spoken to the local car dealer in Staunton VA where I purchase the car and they stated a new replacement car could not happen. As I no longer feel safe driving the manual transmission I asked if I could replace the car with a new or fairly new automatic 370Z. I purchased the car in November 2015 with only 25 miles. In reading and researching I have found that other 370Z owners are having the same problem with the clutch. This is a serious safety concern. One in which I could have gotten into an accident. It seems car manufacturers wait until serious accidents occur or death before recalls are issued. I hope and pray the car is completely repaired but hesitate to drive it once it arrives from Atlanta back to VA. Nissan is scheduled to have it delivered from Atlanta to the dealer in Staunton VA some time before the end of March 2016. Ive never purchased a brand new car in which the clutch gave out with less than 5,000 miles. I feel like Im stuck with a car that I no longer want to drive much less pay for. It has crossed my mind to allow a serious hit to my credit score and voluntary repossess the car so that I have peace of mind and feel safe.

Since day 1 of having my Nissan Rogue 2016 SL FWD, have had constant issues. Front auto braking sensor malfunctioned the day I drove it off the lot in July 2016. Didnt have my car for 2 weeks, dealership was clueless on when the parts would be coming in. Dealership said they would paid for all the gas consumed in their loaner car for those two weeks and they paid 75% of it. At that point, didnt care to deal with them. Factory tires on the Rogue are junk, so loud on the highway. Acceleration is awful and the gas pedal vibrates. Had issues with something being loose in the driver side door, made a chirping sound when I closed it. Passenger door does the same thing now. Back door hatch makes a noise when turning or backing out of the driveway. Took the dealership and they took it all apart, broke a couple clips for the back trim and put it back on anyways thinking I wouldnt notice. Took it to the dealership I bought it at, the Midwest Regional tech and Service manager messed with my back door to get it to stop making noise and said they would order all new parts for it. They never called me back when the parts came in so I just now have them doing the work. Now my steering wheel shakes a ton when braking on the highway with speed over 50mph, its back in the shop for a second time to figure out the problem after a quick resurface of the rotors. I will never suggest a Nissan to anyone ever again, these cars are junk. Overheard so many complaints about their new Nissans from other customers while I was in the dealership the other day.

2011 Nissan Juke: So far I have had to turn my car in for 2 recalls. One was the engine and the second was the timing belt. The second time they had to fix my car. They told me they would be keeping it for 4-5 days! This wouldnt be a problem if they would give me a loaner car. However, they dont give out loaners unless you have 70,000 miles or less on your car. What? Why? My car only has 80,000. The only reason my car is in the shop is because of their faulty manufacturing and recall. The Town Center Nissan in Kennesaw, GA serviceman said I would have to call Nissan headquarters in order to get the rule overruled. OK... whatever.I call them and then it takes a day for them to get back to me to say they refuse to help me because I didnt buy the extended service warranty. Well, if I would have known what a piece of crap car and company I was buying from (I wouldnt have made the purchase) I would have bought the warranty. I asked kindly for them to make an exception because I am a good customer AND I am right at the line. Still they refused and had no other response except to say, You didnt buy the extended service warranty. What are you trying to do Nissan? NO Customer Service? Teach me a lesson about buying extended service warranties?! Its not enough to be a customer who spent 18,000 on your faulty product?! This will be the LAST Nissan I own.

My wife and I have a 2011 Nissan Altima on lease. Mid-2012 my wife was sexually assaulted IN the car. Think about this. Do you want to drive the car that the love of your life has been raped in? NO! After numerous phone calls to NMAC, we received no assistance. We were even in contact with Nissan North America. They tried to help us out by offering us a car at factory price. The issue was the early termination cost of the car. NMAC refuses to help in any way (they even said as much to the guy at Nissan North America). I understand that NMAC had no legal obligation to assist us in any way, but I feel that they could have done something from a humanitarian standpoint. I never expected them to say, Oh sorry, here is a brand new car for free. What I expected was some relief from the early termination fee. I cannot wait for my lease to end as I will NEVER conduct business with Nissan or their affiliates ever again. I will strongly discourage others from doing so.

I had a horrible experience in every aspect of my purchase. I had a truck moved from my dealerships lot a few miles away. I asked to wait to view the truck in person BEFORE signing any documents. I was assured that the documents I was signing were related to the loan and extended warranty and I would be able to see the vehicle before signing. I was offered $2000 off by another dealer but it was too late, unknown to me I already signed. I had to purchase bed extender and was supposed to receive 15% off for my VIP package, negative, paid full price. I took my truck in for service and spent over 2 hours watching soap operas for an OIL CHANGE!!! Last straw was my drivers door. The door is not aligned properly. When opening the door falls and causes and overlap with the rear door. It closes with some force. I took to the dealership for repair under warranty. I was leaving town for a few days and had to take a cab to the airport to get a rental. I was called and told my truck was ready. I returned and took another cab ride to pick up my truck. SAME PROBLEM. The dealer did offer me a loaner which was nice BUT upon returning to get my truck a second time... SAME PROBLEM!!! I will likely never buy another Nissan EVER!!! The only reason I purchased this one is that there were limited options. I was driving a 2014 RAM 1500 Crew cab which I loved but I live in the city/suburbs and needed something smaller for daily driving. The only options were Tacoma, Frontier or Colorado. The Frontier won based on size and price. Im now wishing I had paid extra for a better product and service. Ive had nothing but problems from the purchase to service.

I am working in Turkish Airlines from Turkey. I want to explain my complaint. I have a Nissan Juke which has features 2012 model, 1.6 automatic transmission. It is now in 39000 km. And they said me that I have to change my automatic transmission.Nissan Turkey gives me offer that it can be changed my automatic transmission with 5500 cost TL (Turkish Lira) approximately 1900 $ in Turkey. I made all periodic maintenance in Authorized Service Center and it is just for age and not having huge km. It is very, very little usage. How can it is possible to failure? I dont want to pay this cost. This has caused so much stress on me and my family. It has to be free for changing transmission or very less cost. Could you evaluate my complaint? It hit 75 degrees today in California and I’m again reminded why I will never buy another Nissan. My AC doesn’t work in my 2014 Nissan Rogue bought new in March 2014 at Dublin Nissan. It hasn’t fully worked since July 2015 when it inexplicably went out in the middle of a road trip in 101 degree weather. My two passengers and I tried to bear it for an hour, but ended up having to pull over for 3 hours to wait til dark to drive home the remaining 2.5 hours. I took the car to Nissan Capitol Expressway two days later where they spent an entire day (and tank of gas) trying to figure out the issue only to come away with no solution. It only seemed to be replicable in 80 degree or above weather and after driving for more than 30 minutes on highways.I knuckled down and made it through the summer, the car had about 18,000 miles at that point and was still in warranty. December 2015 I took the car back to Capitol Nissan for 25k maintenance and had them examine the AC unit again. Another full day of “work” and no solution. The AC continued to work intermittently, I kept up with routine maintenance and always mentioned the AC issues when I was in for service and still under warranty, always at Capitol Nissan. By late spring 2017 the AC had stopped working altogether, no cool air came out at all and the weather was only heating up. In June 2017 I took it to Nissan with 37k miles on it (Nissan warranty stops at 36,000 miles) and had Capitol Nissan spend another whole day working on it.They immediately agreed it wasn’t a functioning unit and spent the whole day with it, by end of day finding a “solution.” This solution was to drain the freon from the system and re-fill, this seemed to solve the problem. I asked the associate why that hadn’t been done before to solve the issue and he said he didn’t know. I then asked how he knew it was fixed and he said he couldn’t guarantee it and re-read me the description of work done like I was a kindergartener who just didn’t understand. He then only charged me for the new AC fluids and “helped” me with the labor cost by charging me $200. I drove away angry and rightfully so as the AC unit stopped working two days later. I called the associate at Capitol Nissan to let them know and never heard back.I then opened a case with Nissan Corporate to have the car declared a lemon as the AC unit will clearly never work. In that call I told them I truly thought this was a one-off case and that until then I had actually liked everything else about my Rogue. I told the representative that if Nissan awarded me the new car I was actually planning on upgrading to the Nissan Murano and would finance that upgrade through them.Nissan Corporate kept my case open for approximately 18 hours only to dismiss it because the car was out of warranty, they offered me one monthly payment ($350) for my troubles. I did not accept this money as it didn’t even begin to cover the amount of time I had spent away from work and the money I had spent fixing this issue. The way Nissan has treated me has made it abundantly clear I will never buy another Nissan and as soon as I am financially able I will be getting rid of this junk Rogue and buying a Toyota.

I purchase a 2012 Nissan Juke Oct 2013 with 5700 miles - now 15,000 miles, it kept on cutting out. I took it into my local dealer. After paying 88£ they told me it would need a new gearbox (value 6700) and just fob me off, saying warranty expired since March of this year. As a single mother with 3 children, I just cant afford it and the sales person whom was soon nice to me before I purchased the car now fobs me off and say there is nothing they can do. Everyone (9) spoke to says its a manufacturer fault and they should consider giving me at least a refurbished gearbox, etc. as for such a new car with low mileage. The gearbox shouldnt have stop working and an automatic transmission at that.

I leased a brand new 2013 Nissan Altima SV a year ago (March 2013), 36 month lease, vehicle had 15 miles as a brand new lease. Gorgeous redesigned vehicle with all the bells and whistles that a consumer would really enjoy. In Feb. 2014 after an oil change at the dealer leased from, and with only 3,700 miles driven in less than a year, parked the car at a Parking Stall, in my development, car stopped, foot on the brake, while switching gears while parked and foot on the brake, while trying to shift gears from Drive to Park, car took off on its own, with an unintended acceleration and landed in the building in front of the parking spot (jumped the curb), causing an $8,000 damage to the vehicle that had no mechanical problems when purchased.Nissan Dealer when oil change, ran their inspection report and gave me a clean bill of health on this brand new car. I asked them about any recalls Nissan might have and all they said was, yes, the air bags are under recall, but you should BE FINE???? They did not have time to check they said, and when they ran their inspection report they said everything was fine...not sure how everything is fine when you only spend 15 minutes changing the oil and running inspection reports.I reported this accident to the dealer leased from and the dealer ignored me and said, we do not manufacture the vehicle. They were willing to RENT me another vehicle at $50 per day, or lease me a brand new one while I am still responsible for the lease in the malfunctioned vehicle, so they can profit from. No loaner offered. Reported this to Nissan Consumer Affairs, who I spent my personal time speaking with them for weeks and after several weeks of reporting this, they finally sent an investigator on 3/10, to the body shop where my vehicle is sitting not been able to repair, because Nissan Consumer Affairs was dragging their feet. Vehicle inspected for several hours on 3/10 and the latest from Nissan Consumer Affairs, sorry we cannot do anything for you until we get a report from the Nissan Investigator in a few weeks??? In the meantime, I am responsible for paying the lease payments and Nissan Lease company, offered me on option of getting out of the lease, if I paid them $6,000 since I have the lease for two more years, and never been late in payments. I know for a fact that I did not put my foot on the accelerator, while already stopped and lost control of the vehicle like this vehicle was possessed. The insurance company, is willing to give me the payment for repairs, but Nissan with their investigations prevented this, and needless to say, I am afraid after collision repairs to drive an unsafe vehicle that malfunctioned on its own. This vehicle obviously was not safe. If one of my neighbors was walking in front of this vehicle I could have killed someone, instead this vehicle was responsible for property damage and I have been without a vehicle that I am paying for over ONE MONTH.This has not only caused me time off work, medical bills for a head injury I did not know I had during this impact, but still have no solution and Nissan Consumer affairs seems too busy with other issues to worry about one more consumer complaining. If I was dead perhaps a better investigation will have taken place. How many other incidents have not been reported.

There is a manufacturers defect with certain 2009 Nissan models. Nissan is aware of the issue, but we are being forced to pay for the repair. The cost of the repair will be 1100 dollars, not including what we paid to have the car towed to the dealership. Again, this is not due to normal wear and tear. Our car was in perfectly good condition until the moment it simply stopped working. When I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs to report the problem, I was also made aware that the reason we never heard of the problem was that they had the previous owner, Michael something, listed rather than us. So the mailing may have gone to him, not us. We purchased the car from Nissan of Woburn as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. How is that possible?By the time I spoke with the second individual from Nissan, our information was updated and she claimed Nissan cannot guarantee that recall information is mailed to the correct owner. What?? Hopefully someone who might have a life threatening recall issue doesnt miss that mailing, huh, Nissan? I certainly receive plenty of junk mail from Nissan that seems to arrive without delay.Nissan is aware of this MANUFACTURERS DEFECT and the woman I spoke with, in a condescending and apathetic manner, said they will not pay for the repair despite it not being due to normal wear and tear and that there is nothing they can do at this time. Consumer beware. This demonstrates a lack of integrity in their car making as well as their responsibility to the consumer.

I submitted an earlier complaint and the complaint was closed after three messages left when my phone number provided was not working (because my home phone works off the internet). My internet was down for a couple of days and towers were not working properly in my area to allow signal to my home. After this was explained, left on numerous and countless messages, emails and voicemails with Mrs. ** with Nissan Consumer Affairs who was handling the case at the time. I received absolutely no response from Mrs. ** and her reply was she no longer handles Nissan consumer vehicle complaints. I spoke with them very respectfully and explained; I will be resubmitting a complaint due to lack of multiple communication issues in not receiving a call back or response from said date 5/7/2015 up to 5/18/2015 regarding the various issues and in the handling of previous Case # **, and how quickly it was closed. The vehicle safety concerns and issues are my number one priority and should be Nissans as well. Mrs. ** responded that will be fine and maybe we can handle it appropriately, readdress issues and concerns, with proper documentation. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RE-SUBMIT COMPLAINT DUE TO ERROR MESSAGE FROM NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIR REPLYING MY NAME IS WRONG AND REJECT MY EMAIL NOW which reads Access Denied. You dont have permission to access http://www.nissanusa.com/apps/contactus on this server. Reference **I have tried to resubmit the complaint numerous times once again and it is unaccepted. I felt Nissan was not able to make an appropriate assessment and determination based on lack of information theyd received and lack of communication in handling of this matter by the person Nissan assigned to this complaint. New issues have since arise. I am trying to resubmit another complaint too and maybe this time with my personal office number being provided will avoid lack of communication and we can fully address the safety issues I am presently having and been having with this vehicle, 2012 Nissan Versa since purchase date at CarMax in White Marsh. The brake pedal is now fluttering and the seat belt just locks for no reason while driving. My vehicle has been parked and I am driving another family vehicle. In addition to this complaint, I am contacting you because I have been experiencing and have been experiencing serious safety problems with 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan make and model. Although, I realize Nissan makes some of the greatest vehicles. The 2012 Nissan Versa I purchased I noticed has very serious safety issues that began the day I purchased this vehicle at Carmax, White Marsh, MD lot. After pleading with Carmax to take this vehicle back for a year and 1/2 they would not allow me to give the vehicle back to them the day I purchased it. The problems with the vehicle upon purchase of the vehicle were brakes did not work properly at all. Carmax attempted to fix brakes 3-4 times, pedal would not work and often get stuck, defrost does work and takes a very long time and during rainy conditions it doesnt work at all forcing me to roll down windows to clear them, noise coming from around side view mirrors, freezing of both side view rear mirrors during winter and freezes during driving in cold conditions, vehicle is unable to sustain any type of wind or rain conditions and Ive literally shifted into another lane numerous times while driving on the highway, over a bridge, and even on the street, if a truck or someone passes me at high speed 65-75 I easily shift out of lane-position.Paint job was very poor-scratched terribly, body is very weak and fragile, no matter what hits my vehicle a pebble cracked the glass, a slight hit will hugely dent the vehicle and has, rear window in the passenger rear side will not go up and down properly at all. I have submitted endless complaints regarding my vehicle and I am very dissatisfied with this make and model; believe I may own a defective model because there are too many issues with my vehicle. I dont know what happen with this vehicle but the safety issues I experience regularly really concern me and the family I have ride with me. Please let me know what you can do to address these serious concerns. After two years of battling with Carmax Corporate Office for a year 1/2 to take this vehicle back; I am now contacting the manufacturers of this vehicle. The vehicle I purchased is not safe and has not been since the day I purchased it. I have been in 3 different accidents. The first week after complaints were made and I purchased it I was unable to properly brake and ran into the back of the vehicle a week into owning it after reporting the brakes were not properly working. I pulled into a parked car and could not maneuver appropriately into a parking lot and hit a parked car as the pedal locked on me and brake would not work properly. There are multiple dings, hits, scratches, dents because vehicle was not properly painted. A two year vehicle looks like I owned it 20 years. My concerns and safety issues are not being taken seriously and believe if Carmax would have notified you of this something would have been done a lot sooner to address these issues instead of being taken advantage of during purchase of this vehicle. My younger children nor my husband wish to get into my vehicle because the serious safety concerns they have and also experienced with me while riding with me in 2012 Nissan Versa. I think Nissan makes excellent cars. Just this one has multiple defects. Please contact me with ideas or a solution you may have to fully address these issues. I look forward to trying to resolve these issues. Thank you for your time and attention to this complex and serious matter. In kind I have been patience, respectful only to be met with NO RESPONSE and NOW UNABLE TO RESUBMIT COMPLAINT FOR PROPER HANDLING!

I contacted Nissan customer care. I currently own a 2013 Xterra Pro4x with 66,000 miles. I have driven manuals for 30 years. First clutch burned out 35,400. Second clutch was looked at in a dealership service at 63,000 miles. Was told clutch looked perfect, drove perfect. Had a smell coming from the clutch. 3,000 miles later driving at 60 mph in 5th gear, the clutch blew up. Sounded like an explosion followed by sounds of metal fragments rolling around inside. Nissan required a dealership to look at it. Their conclusion is the driver error caused the clutch failure.Ive never had to replace a clutch before 90/100k. Ive heard from other with the Xterra and Frontiers of this exact same problem happening. Now Im hearing if the transmissions going out at 76,000 miles. They are wanting $2700 to replace a clutch that is sure to fail again. Something is causing these clutches and transmissions to fail. So many mechanics and friends are telling me to get rid of the car ASAP. Lesson learned do not buy Nissan. Nissan does not stand behind their product.

I went to Nissan and they told me this was not under the warranty, that it is impossible for it just to explode so they told me to repair this. It would be $720 dollars. This is very upsetting. Nothing hit my glass and no one has even touched it. I looked this problem up and many other have the same issue. Please save yourself the problem. Do not buy Nissan or Infinity. I bought this 2015 Nissan Altima Feb. 27th, 2015. It had defects on exterior, signal lamp loose, dashboard bad. 2 weeks later the sway bar fell from underneath. I duct taped it up. Called Reidsville Nissan. Corrected. Now after 1700 miles and 3 months later the radiator went out. New one installed by Nissan store. They drove it and called me. Said it needed a new motor. Really, after 1700 miles. Called consumer affairs and after 2 weeks they said Nissan would not buy back or substitute for collateral. Very unhappy with this decision and have had an account with Nissan 4 years. I feel as if a substitute for collateral would have been good. Now I will be trying to trade for a car. I do feel safe in today. Today I go pick up my new motor Nissan and not happy at all.

I received a call today from a collection agency claiming that I owe $614.20 due to charges for excessive wear and tear on a Nissan that I returned 9 months ago. Mind you, the Maxima that I returned was in mint condition and I leased another Nissan, this time an Altima. I called NMAC today and they claim to have sent me a statement which I never received. That statement was allegedly sent 4 weeks after I returned one vehicle to lease another. The only other correspondence that was made regarding these fraudulent charges was 8 months later from a collection agency!!!! I spoke with about 6 different representatives from NMAC today and received so many contradictory pieces of information. Id like to point out that when the finance manager mistakenly set up my automatic payments for 20 months on my original Nissan for a 36-month lease and the automatic payment ran out, NMAC was quick to call when they didnt receive their payment. I was told today that I wasnt contacted about the most recent charge because it was end of term and NMAC doesnt bother, we just send out one bill and then turn it over to collections.... Really???? This is how they treat current customers? Had I gotten some correspondence and been made aware that I was being unfairly charged for excessive wear and tear attributed to scratches on the rims, I would have at least had some method of recourse. I cannot wait until I make my twelfth payment on this Altima so that I can hopefully buy myself out of this Altima and sever all ties with Nissan and NMAC. This has been the single worst customer service experience of my life!!!! Cant wait to tell Nissan to shove it!!!!!

Purchase two brand new Nissans back in 2013, a Nissan Pulsar and Nissan Qas
Purchase two brand new Nissans back in 2013, a Nissan Pulsar and Nissan Qashqai, both with CVTs. Our Nissan Pulsar blew its transmission at 30,000 KLMS. Our Nissan Qashqai has blown 2 transmissions and now on its third, car has only done 75,000 KLMS! These transmissions are absolutely and utterly unreliable and I will (a) never purchase a Nissan vehicle and (b) never a vehicle with a CVT Transmission. On top of this here in Australia we dont get the 10 year warranty or any other transmission warranty on top of our standard vehicle warranty. At least you guys in the US get an additional warranty but from the reviews online its only a security blanket, it doesnt solve the problems at hand with these transmissions. Dont buy a Nissan vehicle! Their techs are utterly useless and they do not stand behind their product!

I have complained to Nissan Customer Service Malaysia about the occurrence
I have complained to Nissan Customer Service Malaysia about the occurrence of a small crack line at the center of my Nissan Sylphy dashboard. They replied that the crack line was due to external impact and therefore not claimable. I requested for a detailed explanation of what sort of external impact that has caused the crack line. This is because they have taken photos of my car both externally and internally. They did not give me a satisfactory reply but instead requested me to pay some USD1000 for the repair.Sir, the only impact on my car is a small dent on the lower left door of my car that has happened more than a year ago. My mechanic can testify to that. But, the crack occurred just one month ago. So there is no relationship between the dent and the crack. It really hurts when I received such response from Customer Service Nissan Malaysia as I have been a strong supporter of Nissan cars in the last 15 years. I have owned a Nissan Serena (1997), Nissan Sentra (2005) and now a Nissan Sylph (2009). Your kind intervention is much appreciated.

My husband and I bought a new Frontier with 11 miles. Before making the 1st payment the head gasket blew. Truck sitting in a lot in another state while they wait for parts, and scratching their heads trying to figure how that could happen. Of course we were given a free rental for as long as needed, but we have to return to California and leave the truck in Nevada. Nissan Reno have been very nice to us. I think they were worried about legal recourse which is our next step. Someone noticed a oil spot and asked what is that. Took it immediately to the dealer. Four days later they still do not know how what happened.

I purchased my 2014 Nissan Pathfinder brand new in June 2014. By October 2014 at around 8,000 miles my transmission began to fail as I was driving down the highway. The car would jolt down the road. I took my vehicle in to be checked. They did a software update and sent me on my way. I didnt have my vehicle out of the parking lot before it started happening again. I turned around and took it back. They kept my vehicle for several days and determined a new transmission was in order. The transmission was replaced. I was able to get about 35,000 miles on my vehicle and then the fuel sensor went out. Nissan dealership replaced it but I had to pay for it as it was not included in the warranty. The dealer did pay for the labor but Nissan REFUSED to cover the part and I had to pay for that. In August 2016, my transmission began to lag. As I would drive in low gears it would jolt and skip. It had a hard time making it up slight inclines, such as a parking garage. They did the software update again and sent me on my way. At first, the vehicle seemed to run ok but as more time passed the problems begin to rear up again. In October 2016 I brought my vehicle back. It was determined that my transmission had to be replaced at 49,000 miles (This would only be 41,000 on the new transmission). This car is unsafe and jolts down the highway and has even staled out in intersections. I have asked for Nissan to buy back my car and refund my down payment but they refused based on my history it does not qualify for a buyback. I do NOT recommend anyone to purchase a Nissan. The dealership has been great but Nissan has not. They do not care about their customers. They refuse to work with me. They dont want to ensure the safety of their drivers. They just want your money. Period. The end.

We purchased a Nissan Titan in MD and then moved 3 months later to Nevada.
We purchased a Nissan Titan in MD and then moved 3 months later to Nevada. I landed a job that needed me to have tags title and insurance through Nevada immediately, otherwise, I could not work for them. I had to contact Nissan for a temporary lien release to transfer my name and my mother-in-laws name to a Nevada title and have NMAC put right back on as the lien holder. All they had to do was fax it to me, giving DMV in LV, Nevada permission to transfer that information to a new title for this state so I could go back to work and survive. I now have missed 2 weeks because they have to have all these supposedly different departments approve it, but I am on the loan and my payments are made, and now, they send me a paper that will not do and say I have to wait another 2 weeks to a month. They have 2 more days to get it to me via fax (which is not hard to do), otherwise, I lose my job. If that happens, I will take them to court for loss of wages and anything else I am entitled too. This is ridiculous! They are more than willing to take your money and have you sign your life away, but when you need just a simple piece of paper stating what is yours or what youre paying for or Lord even to follow the law, you have to go through a mini war to get it. Also, do not try to contact anyone there on a daily basis because you will be harassed by certain representative at their answering center. It took me 11 calls in 1.5 hours to get in touch with the person helping me at her extension no less, and then, I was told that it was my fault that its taking so long and that I should have informed them sooner that I needed it when in fact, I informed them within 5 minutes of finding out what I needed. You can bet your bottom dollar that if it were them being faced with losing their job due to something I didnt do, they would be after me like a bat out of hell. Someone, please make this corporation do what they say when they say it and when we need it. I feel for anyone who finances through them. If your life is hassle free now, it will not be, after dealing with them in my opinion. For just a temporary lien release, giving a government company (DMV) permission to do their job and for me to follow the law, it takes 5 minutes. Thats all to fax. What is there issue? Oh, and I was told that this is a special request, something they do not do. Yeah okay.

Our company has a 2018 NV 200, a commercial vehicle with 100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper commercial Nissan warranty. There are about 58,000 miles on the truck. On January, 26, 2021 while driving on a small residential road at 5 miles an hour, the passenger side curtain deployed. The truck did not hit anything at all. Our technician said it sounded like a gun went off. He couldn’t see anything. Had this happened on the highway, he certainly would’ve been in an accident, possibly fatal. I have been trying to work with Nissan to have them simply give us a loaner truck for the eight weeks that will be required in order to do a thorough investigation. Im not trying to cause them trouble but They told me I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF ANY LOANER TRUCK!!!.This is the worst handling of a highly explosive situation (no pun intended) that I can imagine. They also said it’s up to THEIR discretion to decide if I would get reimbursed. Furthermore, they said I may be subject to STORAGE CHARGES AT THE LOCAL DEALER UNTIL THIS IS SETTLED. Is this incredible? Dakota from their arbitration group has been assigned to me. No person could have less skills given the severity of this incident. I asked for just two things: a loaner truck and commitment to make sure that any defects be not hidden from the public. DISGRACEFUL. WHO IS SAFE IN THEIR VEHICLES????Heres the worst part. When I told them I demanded a loaner vehicle, they said the case was closed!!!! Mr/Mrs Dakota called the dealer and told them the case was closed and settled. Here is the warranty. Very clear. 5 years/100,000 miles (whichever occurs first). The Nissan Powertrain Limited Warranty covers the engine, transmission and transaxle, plus the drivetrain, as well as air bags, and related electronic control system. [*]

First time and last leasing from Nissan this 2018 Nissan Rogue SL.! At 5,000 miles had front end whining. Took to dealer. They said nothing wrong.? I would not leave without them looking further into this noise. Well they found a faulty bearing and replaced it. I asked for a wheel alignment also to be done. I thought they did this.? But at 10,000 miles I had wheel pulling and shaking in the front of the car. Took to same dealer for service but was told because it needed a wheel alignment it was my fault so I asked for a inspection that I paid for. They found a faulty control arm and strut on same side as the replaced bearing.! Well they said it was my fault that I did something to cause this and would not fix it unless I paid for the repairs.! This is totally a terrible company and cars also.!I contacted corporate and worse treatment said my fault so, “We can’t help you.!” It is caused by not having a wheel alignment that I asked for at the prior bearing replacement.? So I am a victim of Nissan North America that makes you think you are getting a great deal on a lease car.! Then when you have a true problem that you did not cause they throw you under the”BUS”!!! They suck people in by giving them a lot of “Bells and Whistles” standard on the cars and not caring about anyone’s safety just making their pockets DEEPER!!!Stay away from these dealers and cars nothing but trouble for the consumer while they take no responsibility at all after you sign and leave the dealership.!! Where is their warranty on a new vehicle.? This is proof that there is none.! So my car if driven could cause a serious accident and possible near death to any passengers or others on the road!!! I have to pay for all the repairs before I can drive it again.!!! Buyers Beware.!!!!

We have a 2013 Nissan Altima that started having drivetrain issues around 85,000 miles. The unreliable, poorly designed CVT seems to be the issue. After getting 2 quotes from 2 different dealerships, (one at $3742, and the other at $3565). I asked the dealership to see if this could get covered under good will or for Nissan to cover some of the cost since the extended warranty covered the car to 84 months or 84,000 miles. The claim was rejected because they said the timeframe was too far out. Nissan knows they have problems with this transmission, otherwise they would have never been forced to extend the warranty on 2003 - 2010 Nissans for 10 years or 120,000 miles or the 2012 - 2020 models for 84 months or 84,000 miles.Nissan should be held responsible for covering a defected product that they continue to use. Please dont make the same mistake I did, do your research and do not buy a car from Nissan, especially one with this CVT system. I am having an independent shop to fix my car because I refuse to give Nissan anymore of my money. I for one will never buy a Nissan product again!!!!

I recently filed a claim for my 2008 Nissan Rogue. On 1/6/14, my driver side door would not open from the outside. On 1/8/14, my passenger door would not open from the outside. On 1/17/14, my driver door now does not open from the inside. I was contacted by the Regional office after my initial complaint and was completely offended by the implication that I was reaching out for financial assistance as if I was not financially capable of paying for the repairs to my doors. My complaint is not for financial assistance but for Nissan to take responsibility for using cheap and unreliable door actuators on the 2008 Nissan Rogue. The parts used are not capable of withstanding cold temperatures and stop working as a result of the weather. That is not my fault nor should it be my responsibility. Nissan needs to own up for this mistake and pay for the repairs on my vehicle. This has been a huge inconvenience to climb over the middle console from the passenger side just to drive my car. I am totally dissatisfied and at this point I would never purchase or recommend another Nissan vehicle as long as I live. This is not a request for financial assistance. Nissan is totally aware of this ongoing issue and needs to own up to it and provide more reliable parts for its cars. I wasted $128 at Lynnes Nissan to confirm that my doors would not open. They told me the repairs would cost $800-$1000 which is ridiculous for a part that only costs $26. I am not a happy customer and demand answers now.

I bought a 2016 Nissan Maxima on May 10, 2016. Three weeks later I hit a deer with the car. Three months later I am still waiting to have the car fixed. Apparently the problem has been a wire harness that affected the airbags and seatbelts. Nissan is taking their sweet time getting the wire harnesses to Valley Nissan to start with. Now my insurance adjuster told me that Valley Nissan had gotten the wire harnesses for the car two weeks ago and they have not bothered to put them in yet. I am still waiting on Valley Nissan to fix it. ******************************************************************************************************** Published on other sites: https://www.yelp.com/biz/nissan-of-queens-service-ozone-park ********************************************************************************************************I have been taking my 2014 Platinum pathfinder since August 2017 for issues with the vehicle jerking and giving trouble to start. I was told the pulley kit needed to be changed. The following week the suv would not turn on,once it was on the engine light came on. I took the truck to Nissan of Queens , left the truck there for 2 weeks till the transmission came in. When i got my vehicle back i saw my push bar was dented on the passenger side. I took the vehicle back on Monday because it was picked it up while they were closing up so rushing it was not noticed until i got home. The manager Ravi said they were not responsible for the dent. ( My vehicle is always parked in a private driveway and did not have any dents on it) . I called another manager there Sando about 6 times left messages till now i never got a call back. I took my truck back the following week Sept 6th for jerking issues and i saw now they take pictures of each vehicle that goes in for service. They told me they cannot find anything wrong so i contacted consumer affairs. After calling them 3 times i finally got an appt for 10/4/17 . I met with the consumer affairs and as i sat down with him he told me he was only there to discuss the truck. I then realized that the manager Ravi had briefed him on the dent on my truck which occurred on Nissan premises. He told me he would take the truck for a test drive and will let me know what the issues are once he returned. He came back and said he did not experience any issues and he couldnt do anything. I explained to him i spent over $50 K(paid off in 14 mths) on this truck which i only have 3 years now and i was having all the same issues as before. He then told me he would check the fluids after 45 mins he came back and said he found debris in the pan and he would need to order a new transmission. They gave me back my truck 10/4/17 with all the same issues. I left numerous messages for consumer affairs but have not gotten a call back as to when my transmission will be replaced. Now 10/17/17 my daughter got into a accident because when coming to a stop the truck started jerking and hit the vehicle in front of her. I left another message for consumer affairs and awaiting a call back. I am still driving a faulty vehicle and a accident occurred because the the cvt transmission jerking. No, said Nissan because the dealership offered to buy the used car. According to the dealers, I do and they do it. Cool. They can inspect the vehicle when I turn it in. But then they dont, after all. NMAC and the dealership really jerk you around.During the lease, NMAC could not take my Visa for online payment, so I always had to send the check. After passing the inspection and escaping any costs, I was told Just turn in the vehicle, you have paid everything you owe. Three weeks later I was charged by NMAC almost $500 for a disposition fee! I have been a Nissan customer since 2001. I am pissed. I was considering leasing another Nissan in a few months. Screw that. Today, I do not want another Nissan vehicle ever. I cant believe that a car that is not even 5 years old has a transmission failure! Now that I have done some online research, I am seeing that this is a rather common event for the 2012 Nissan Versa. So why is Nissan not stepping up to the plate and doing something about this? I will never buy a Nissan again and will tell everyone I know about this issue and how Nissan DID NOT back their product.

Nissan complaint: Where do I begin, well let me start by saying the car buy
Nissan complaint: Where do I begin, well let me start by saying the car buying experience was amazing and the sales representative was amazing. Fast forward 71 days and the nightmare begins. So I bought a brand new 2021 Nissan Rogue in January and of course it was still cold. However as it warmed up and I needed to use the AC I realized the drivers vents would blow warm or room temperature air while the passenger side would be freezing cold even when set to the exact same temperature. I called Jack Ingram Nissan in Montgomery Alabama where I purchased my car and advised them of the issue. They set an appointment for the following week for me to bring the car in to be fixed, or so I thought. When I dropped my car off I was told even though I brought in an SUV they would only be able to put me in an Altima, though I was disappointed I went with it. To my surprise when I reached the vehicle I was to use it was filthy! Being that we are still in the midst of a pandemic I went back in and refused to take that vehicle. They then Provided me with another Altima. The next day I called 3 or 4 times to see what had been done to fix my car. Finally around 3 pm I received a call saying they could not detect any issue and that I could come and pick my car up. I was told that the temperature shown was not per vent, but the temperature in the entire car. This didnt seem accurate because one of the selling points was the dual climate control, but it was a Friday and due to the size of my family I couldnt afford to be in the loaner car any longer. So I went and picked up my car... I tried to chalk it up to maybe the car didnt do for them what it had been doing with me. When I pulled out of the dealership to head home, the drivers side was blowing heat to the point that I began to sweat. I made a U-turn and went back to the dealership and demanded to speak with someone to show them what was happening and see another vehicle like mine do the same. After waiting 15 minutes, the representative came out and witnessed exactly what I was referring to and to my surprise he seemed surprised which makes me feel like my car hadnt even been looked at in the 2 days it had been there. We then sat in another Rogue to see if this is indeed normal and what do you know the other car did NOT have the same issue proving that this is not normal for this make and model. They sent another representative out who appeared to be a manager and he proceeded to insult my intelligence by insisting it was operating as it should. I told them both that I was not satisfied and I would like it fixed. His solution was for me to turn my driver temp down and passenger temp up which made both sides blow the same temperature. I advised them that that was only a bandage not a solution. I bought a new car and I expected it to operate as it should. The representative then offered to reopen the ticket and assured me that he would be reaching out to me with a solution by Wednesday. WELL TODAY IS THURSDAY! No word from Jack Ingram. I called Nissan yesterday evening and filed a consumer complaint, the rep called today and said that Jack Ingram would be calling me within the hour to set up a time for my car to be reevaluated. That was 4 hours ago. At this point I dont know what to do, but I do know that I will never do business with Nissan and definitely not with Jack Ingram if they do not resolve this matter! On a lighter note the sales team there is amazing and after speaking with the sales manager. I will hopefully be able to have a SUV as a loaner whenever the service team can get it together and FIX MY CAR!

I have an electric blue 2005 Nissan Frontier Nismo. Since about 2008 and 40,000 miles, it has been shedding paint like my car sheds hair! It started with the front left quarter panel, then the front right quarter panel, then the right rear quarter panel, then the gutters on the roof, then both doors on the right side, and also many other obscure places like the gas tank door, and underneath the hood, a place that never encounters any weather or road related contact. I bought the truck used with approximately 41,000 miles on it and, after I bought the truck, I found out that the previous owner had actually already dealt with this issue and had taken the truck to Nissan, complained about the paint peeling and Nissan did a tape test on the vehicle. They pulled off a significant amount of paint but then claimed that the issue was not a factory defect. I have gone through all of the appropriate steps with Nissan and basically have gotten the runaround. They keep claiming that its not a factory defect and that there is nothing that they can do to help me.I have formed a Facebook group titled 2005 electric blue Nissan frontier paint delamination. I am seeking as many affected Nissan Frontier owners that have experienced the same paint defect with that year, make and model and color of truck. The more people that I can get to come forward with this issue, the stronger my case will be. I have been in contact with the same attorney group that is handling the transmission/radiator recall and they are very interested in taking up this case as a class action lawsuit. So please, if you are affected by this paint peeling issue, please add yourself to the group on Facebook and we will go from there. Thank you.

Faulty issues with new Kicks. I have been purchasing Nissan since 1985. This was to be my very first lease ever. I wanted 2018 model. Universal City was the closest and had several cars. I got my Kicks SR. The model I test drove had 80 mls on it and was filthy. I asked the rep if this was a floor model. He avoided the question and said it will be cleaned up. Enamored I went ahead with the purchase. The salesman let me inspect the car in the garage. It seemed to have been cleaned, but when I came home I noticed not only it was dirty but had scuff marks on it, the back light was scratched and missing a flashlight in the tool kit.I cleaned the car myself in my garage. Since it was a lease I became leery and wrote a letter to the manager Steve ** and was completely ignored, zero reply. 3 days later I got a warning flashing on the car UNAVAILABLE FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTION. Same happened again next day. So I took it to dealer. While the car was being inspected, I went to see Steve the manager, who did not appear, was busy. Sia, an assistant manager came to see me. I told him of my dirty car, he said he will detail it and look into missing tool. The next day my car was returned. The explanation on warning was the front sensor was dirty. Scuffs and scratches were gone.. No answer on missing tool. Again, the only reason I am wary because this is a lease, has to be returned and I dont want to be responsible for missing tool. Still I was happy, satisfied. However the warning sign came back. I work, so had to bring the car a couple of days later. This time they kept the car for 5 days to replace the sensor. I asked to be compensated, like a tank of gas, they declined. The service manager finally told me that the car doesnt come with a flashlight. The spot is made for other models that do? Although it doesnt make sense, this is the highest model of Kicks, I am leaving that alone. Once more I said perhaps this is the end. To no avail. Now my dashboard is buzzing, as if I am driving a clunker. Cannot hear music. So today, back to service. I am completely disappointed and have zero confidence in Nissan. I will have no choice but to consult an attorney if anything else happens. Unfortunately only now I begun reading reviews on Nissans and see that there are many complaints on sensors, transmissions and audio systems. Yet I love my car. I am heartbroken.

Dear Nissan, for everyone that had a car before the policies changed for the 8 payment extensions to 6 payment extensions you should still honor them because we were told something that is no longer being honored. I understand that it is a courtesy, but that doesnt change the fact that you should honor your word to us because when you say something you should do it. Especially for some of us who have been loyal towards our payments and the Nissan Corporation. Also, we never get anything for being a customer. We hardly get discounts and the service team at almost every location is always trying to sell you another car for overpriced numbers. Unsatisfied.

2014 Versa Note SV bought New, found rust on the 3rd day of purchase in 12+ areas underneath including sub-frame and various components. Complained and requested replacement with a rust free car. Nissan wont replace or refund despite extensive correspondence, emails, phone calls, visits to the dealer, furnishing date stamped pictures of rust areas. Nissan is dragging its feet with feeble excuses - No excessive rust found, Rust is not affecting safety of the car, Rust not affecting performance of the car - which is why they will not replace it. Upon telling them that due to rust, the resale value of car is severely diminished to junk car value, they have nothing to say. Filed complaints with authorities including the Attorney General but they are slow to process so nothing has come of it so far and Nissan wont stand behind its products. BBB Autoline has sided with Nissan and they just pissed on the Lemon Law doing that - despite providing scores of date stamped photographs of the rust areas. Nissan is not giving me a charity car, nor it is a used car that they have sold me. I have paid full price with high interest for 6 years that I am going to be paying and I deserve a rust free car without defects but Nissan does not seem to agree to that. People, please think a thousand times before buying a Nissan. A company that is trying to get away using every lame excuse. I am afraid that Nissan may have sold a large number of cars to buyers with rust simply because the American buyer trusts manufacturers for their quality and integrity - but not in case of Nissan. If any law students/retired lawyers/lawyers are willing to help - for an affordable fee - as I can not afford a lot at this time - please help me and may God bless you for your kindness.

2013 Nissan Altima, 3.5S VIN#**. Issue: The readout for the heat and AC located on the center dash console constantly will go blank. Everything is still operational but, blindly, due to the screen being blank. Ive had the car in to Grubbs Nissan for this issue several times. On one occasion I drove in as it was going off and on and had a service tech drive around with me. She videoed it on her phone. I was told the part was ordered and almost two months later called in to have it replaced. Within the same week of having it replaced the same issue began again. I drove in and told my service guy who was there but off duty. He went and scheduled an apt for the following Monday but neglected to put down what the issue was so, when I took it in on Monday I also told a different service guy about another issue I was having with the radio. The radio is the only issue they touched. The excuse I get is, Our service department could not get the issue to reproduce. For the full month of December 2014 I recorded date, time, weather when this issue was repeated. I also have a video of it. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and 60,000 mile tune up. For prevent measures the service technician advised me to have my transmission replaced. When i picked up the vehicle, I noticed within 5 miles a popping noise and hesitation during acceleration. The consequence was I had to take the vehicle back to Nissan and was told at that time that the Transfer Case had to be replaced, unneeded service and unneeded out of pocket expense. Aug of 2012, I returned a used Nissan Altima that was running terribly to Planet Nissan located in Las Vegas, NV, after having purchased it under 1 year prior. The sales ** thought it would be best to do a trade, the Altima for the Maxima. During the transaction Planet Nissans employee (**) added the best warranty that Nissan sales to my contract. He was slick, he had me sign my original contract that had a smaller warranty but claimed there were errors and printed a second contract with the added hidden PLUS Warranty.Unknowing I signed the contract, but when I noticed, I made several complaints to Planet Nissan, Nissan Financial and Consumer Affairs. I was at a local 24 Hour Fitness jacuzzi venting to a stranger about the treatment I had been receiving. Turns out he was Planet Nissans General Manager. Who also refused to touch this matter. I had no luck resolving this matter therefore I decided to shut up about it. After all it is the best warranty a person could have right? No! Recently, my engine crashed in this 2012 Nissan Maxima at 56k miles. I immediately took the vehicle back to Planet Nissan and within a week I was told that the my Manufacturer Warranty and the Extended Plus Warranty would NOT cover the damaged engine. Why? They claimed there was sludge in the engine which Voids the Warranty Agreement immediately. I was asked by the Service Manager ** and the Sales Manager ** to provide proof of oil changed for 2014. I successfully retrieved the documentation from my credit card company to prove that I have kept up with the maintenance on the vehicle. Response: DENIED. This is the easiest Scam you can pull on a working woman like myself as my only fault here was purchasing a Nissan to begin with.I contacted consumer affairs, a representative called me to discuss this matter however, his entire conversation was No, No, No, we cannot help you. Leaving me without any options and refusing to accept my proof of maintenance on the vehicle. So, I asked him to please investigate this case and consider allowing me the opportunity to have a second opinion as I felt that Planet Nissan was jumping the gun here. Apparently they logged it in Nissans system prohibiting me from EVER having the engine fixed under either the manufacturer warranty or the extended plus warranty. The consumer affairs agent made it real clear to me that no matter where I go in America. The engine will Not Ever be covered, therefore there was nothing Nissan could do nor did he care to take a look at any evidence I had to support the previous maintenance on the vehicle. He made it real clear that he was supportive of Planet Nissans decision without any proof therefore, I was on my own. I took the vehicle to United Nissan in Las Vegas for a second opinion as the Check Engine light is generating these codes: CYL 4 Misfire, CYL 6 Misfire, TW Catalyst System B1, and TW Catalyst System B2. Within 24 hours I received a call back from the service agent ** who explained that the claim was DENIED. He explained that although the technician saw no sludge in the engine that Planet Nissan had reported such and therefore the claim was DENIED. I explained that I needed a second opinion as my car received maintenance regularly and I had proof. He explained that he could not help me and asked me to return the rental car as soon as possible.A day after returning the rental car I realized that I had left my duffel bag full of personal belongings in the trunk and a handicap placard in the rental car provided to me while the Maxima was in Service. Immediately I contacted United Nissan and was told to come and pick up my belongings that they had retrieved it from the rental vehicle. Today March 19, 2015 I went to United Nissan to retrieve my belongings, it was explained to me by ** that it will cost me a total of 12K to replace the engine in the Maxima, My handicapped placard was stolen and my duffel bag of belongings was ramshacked. Im so disappointed in my treatment at Nissan, overall Im disgusted. I dont even expect a resolution from here. Im stuck with a 2012 Nissan Maxima with a bad engine and a $700 car payment. This is pitiful.

I purchased a new Nissan pathfinder in 2005 and I did just had issues with it at 87k miles transmission broke and Nissan didnt want to take responsibilities for the repairs so I had to fix it myself. Exactly one year later the radiator broke and leaked coolant to the transmission and transmission broke again. This time Nissan said OK we are going to give you a free transmission, but we have to install it. I paid Nissan 4k dollars to install the transmission and 6 months later I had problems with the thermostat and I decide to exchange it and I promise to myself that I will never buy a Nissan vehicle in my life again. In the past I had purchased Nissan Sentra, Pathfinder 97, Armada, Nissan pickup hard-body and I just have Toyota and Chevrolet, and I am very happy with my vehicles.

I have received poor customer service on a vehicle that has been nothing but trouble since the day I drove it off the lot. I have reached out to your department, the dealership, the warranty company (Security plus Extended Warranty) and gotten no resolution. I purchased the car in 2011 excited to have my second Nissan, my first was a Sentra back in 1988, this vehicle also had transmission issues but Nissan took care of it. I purchased the Murano along with a three thousand dollar extended gold plus warranty. I had to return the vehicle the next day because of a cracked windshield that was noticed upon my drive home. After a few days the windshield was fixed. Then the vehicle maintenance issues began. In review of my records I note that my car has spent at least 30 days in the shop getting fixed. I have missed a total of 40 hours of work on the phone with the warranty company, the dealership, consumer affairs and driving back and forth to the dealership. (dealership is in Costa Mesa and I work in Chino Hills and live in Brea) not to mention the gas I spent going back and forth and the pure stress of having to fix my car over and over again never feeling secure to drive it other than to work and back.I have attached a copy of proof that 3 different transmissions were put into this car and that multiple major items have had to be replaced, most recently the radiator which happened at night and I was not near a dealership and had to pay 900.00 dollars out of pocket to get fixed. I am still waiting for the warranty company to get back to me on this but from my previous experience I am not hopeful. The biggest disappointment came when my car had spent over 2 weeks in the repair shop having the entire engine rebuilt, transmission issues etc. and only after a couple weeks the vehicle began to have new issues, I took the vehicle to the dealership and they said it was the catalytic converter. I called the warranty company and was told by two representatives that this was a covered item. The dealership reported that it was not covered, which made no sense. I then contacted the warranty company again and they had a specialist review the issue. I was informed the catalytic converter was covered if it was welded on the vehicle but not if it was bolted and mine was bolted. This is absurd. How the company chooses to make it should not be the customers issue. This is a Nissan issue. Not to mention knowing that the vehicle had previously had so many serious problems how could they not correct this? That is just poor customer care! I filed a complaint with your consumer affairs department because I no longer wanted the vehicle and it was clear that the vehicle is a lemon and I could not afford to fix the catalytic converter. I had already paid too much for the car to begin with. I was informed that it did not qualify for the lemon law and there was nothing they would do. They mentioned something about it needing to have had more than one transmission replacement. I couldnt believe it. It was obvious Nissan did not care about their customers or their reputation and that they did not do their research because it had had more than one transmission issue.I used Yelp, Facebook and Twitter to express my justified dissatisfaction and was contacted by the Dealership but still nothing was done to correct the issue. The cooperate offices were aware of these issues and my dissatisfaction and still no one did anything to correct the problem. I am left with a broken vehicle which I cannot get rid of because I am paying for an extended warranty that will not help me. I am upside down, paying almost 500 dollars a month on a car I am afraid to drive. This is no longer a vehicle problem but an actual safety concern.A few weeks after the catalytic converter issue I was driving down a main hwy and the car stopped, the radiator was shot and the car was overheating, no warning at all. I was able to get help and pull it into a repair shop. The vehicle was fixed for 900.00 dollars, money I did not have. I was left with no car, stranded at night and for the next two days. Now just a month later the car is making another strange noise and I have issues with the steering. (the steering being something that was a problem before) I return again to the Costa Mesa Dealership where the maintenance supervisor sits with me and reviews my entire record. I explain my frustrations and he agrees to look at the car. I am waiting now to find out what is wrong but at this point I cannot pay to have it fixed and I do not want the vehicle. I should not have to roll the upside down amount into another car and I should not have to pay for the radiator or the extended warranty that did not cover everything as I was told at the time that it would. The exact words of the dealership were if you get this warranty it WILL COVER EVERYTHING but for regular items such as brakes, tires, oil changes. Apparently that is not true.I take my car in every 3,000 miles an oil change, I even use upgraded oil. I have tires rotated, I keep it clean and I drive it with care but it doesnt matter the car just doesnt run properly. Please review the service receipts and tell me how this issue can be resolved? I do not want this car any longer and I do not feel safe driving it. I want to be reimbursed for the warranty and the radiator, and I want the vehicle gone. I will be happy to purchase another vehicle from a NISSAN dealership but I do not want to be penalized for the issues with this car. In other words I still owe 11,000 (3,000 is the warranty) and the car is not worth that, this is not my fault and I should not be penalized for it.The bigger issue is that Nissan is showing that they do not care about their customers safety or the quality of their vehicles. When will Nissan correct this issue? When the car stops on the freeway because of another problem and I killed in an accident? I cant imagine that a company is that greedy and has that type of customer relations. Although it appears at this point that is accurate. I am hoping that this issue can be resolved and that I can once again take to the road in a safe vehicle. Thank you.

The salesman troy said my credit wasnt good, only qualified for the Nissan Rogue, I could get refinanced in 3 months to lower my payment. The finance guy ran my credit 15 times without my permission and he wont remove the it by calling the credit bureaus. He had me sign the papers for a lender only to call me a week later and say the deal fell thru. Come back in and resign. When I refused and said I wanted to cancel the deal, he became loud and disgruntled. He said, You cant change your mind and we already sold your vehicle. I tried to refinance 3 months later and was told by the lender they dont do refinance on their loans. Now I am stuck with a high payment.

Nissan of Duarte - I brought in my car to get my USB port checked and strange noises coming from under the car. When I went to pick up my car, I found a long crack in the windshield. I left the car for a week to get the windshield replaced. When I picked up my car the following week, I was really disappointed. There was a scratch on the windshield by the drivers side. The glass is not OEM glass, much cheaper glass. When I play the radio, the sounds dont resonate as well as before. The seals around the windshield dont look like as good as it should be. The glass looked very dirty/dusty like it was an old windshield lying around. They did some things they believed would make the strange sounds go away, like tightened the emergency brakes and tightened the steering wheel. I absolutely dont like the changes and plus, the strange sound didnt go away. Worst yet, I found out that my seat is broken. It was not broken when I left my car for the windshield replacement. Overall, my experience has been horrible with Nissan and Nissan cars.

Too many problems. As of Aug 16th 2016 less than 34,000K miles: Oil leak steering rack, CVT slips and poor acceleration, Brake noise, Shock replaced below 20k miles, Air bag light - countless, Dead battery - replaced 3 times in 3 years - I tired of telling dealer its not the battery. Stupid! Smelly AC - Like dead animal, Rear bumper color changed... parked in garage all the time... sun isnt a factor. Work from home. DONT BUY.On the issue of dead battery... well I went to two funerals out of the country in July and Sept 2014. Gone for 3-4 days each time. Arrive well guess what? Car didnt start.. In October of the same year went on a cruise Friday got back Monday... wont start. August 12th 2016 went to get an oil change. Got out of the car at the dealer, give the key to the guy at the desk. Ten minutes later he walks inside... Sir do you have a set of keys on you? NO...I just give it to you I repiled. Rep. replied.. The car wont start.Okay... they jumped it... which it started. Did battery test etc... said all is good. Saturday morning it started... just wanted to check. Wife and I decided to go for dinner selected a place... one hour drive away from home. Not just for the food okay - for the drive and spend time together. Well after we got dressed around 6pm ready to go... car wont start. Ok I got a jump and off we go. After 11pm we decide to head home, got to the parking lot car wont start. Finally close to midnight someone give us a jump.. it started and we left for home. Got home without any issues.Next morning 9am sunday... well not even a jump could help it... it was DEAD but I must say it was trying to turn over but it couldnt get there. Lights started flashing, beeping etc... like Christmas. Finally after trying well there wasnt any juice left. I GIVE UP... THERE GOES MY SUNDAY. Called Nissan Monday morning. Customer service said they wont get it towed. I had to pay out of my pocket... that did it. I let loose on the rep. but after apologized to her not her fault... but I was pissed. I told her let a manger called me. They said 24hrs. So 2 days wait... now I used my AAA and towed the vehicle. Battery changed again. Car is running for now. Today I missed the mgr call. I returned the call and left a message....

I purchased this vehicle new in 2009 and have since had 3 failures since owning this car. Nissan installed what is called an Electronic Steering Column Lock (ESCL) that is designed to help prevent theft. Unfortunately if this part fails and it will about every 50,000-60,000 miles you will be unable to start the car even though mechanically there is nothing wrong with your car. I looked up other complaints and there is over 256k complaints on this issue alone yet Nissan will not back this part up. I paid to have it installed a 3rd time and was told that it was the 3rd generation on this part and that it would last but here I am 60,000 miles later and it broke again. I understand that my vehicle is 10 years old now but, I dont understand how Nissan can know that a part they make is defective and not come up with a solution or work around it leaving drivers completely stranded in a vehicle mechanically sound. The repair for this is between $800-$1,100 each time. Nissan is aware of it and stopped installing it in all Nissans and Infinitis starting in 2012 but deny the part is defective. Knowing this I cant recommend that you buy any product from Nissan as there is no guarantee that they are going to back their product up and since this is a unique part built specifically for their vehicles only in 2009-2011 there are no aftermarket parts for this. If Nissan told me upfront that hey, this is a great engine and if you maintain it this vehicle will go at least 300k miles but, there is a part on it that cant be maintained and will break every 50k miles and costs $1,000 each time to repair I never would have bought it. Ive owned 3 Nissans in my life and this will be the last one I ever buy.

A 2015 Nissan Murano I leased in February 2015 was in the service department for 45 days. I was highly unhappy and wanted Nissan Consumer Affairs to either take the car back or exchange for a functioning one. Nissan consumer affairs was dismissive, vague, uninterested in the hardships I endured, and ignored the many valid complaints and concerns I had. They sent me generic letters only and in the last month never returned my calls. This company has become a joke, and I am proud to say I have already deterred 2 friends from buying a new Nissan. In customer service, the customer should be heard. Not dismissed!

My 2005 Murano was serviced by a dealer for a stalling problem. The dealer stated a need of Cam shaft sensor replacement for a fix. Further, they recommended that the CVT be replaced due to an action of recoiling at deceleration which I mentioned the exactly the same dilemma to a Nissan tech adviser who wrote a ticket. A mechanic test drove my car & was able to verify/duplicate the symptom of the recoiling action aforementioned. I told the Nissan dealer to replace the Cam sensor & the transmission fluids knowing that a warranty doesnt cover the expenses involved with the replacement of CVT.Next day, Oct/29/15, I accidentally discovered on internet that Nissan had extended warranty on CVT to 10 yr/120,000 miles. Consequently, I called the customer rep. to confirm an eligibility. The rep. submitted a ticket for a regional specialist to call me next day which they did. The answer was No because I purchased my car on Aug/16/2005 which is merely (2) months outside window of an extended warranty. I greatly disappointed & called a customer Rep. again to re-open the case for the following reasons: I have never received the notification from the Nissan of an extended warranty on CVT.Im the original owner & it has only 78,000 miles on it. Mine failed at such low miles, then whod buy a car from Nissan. Id have taken the car to a dealer to replace the CVT if Id known the extended program. I love my car & the performance except the mishap of CVT. Im awaiting on a reply from a regional manager this time in a few days for a final decision.

I needed a part for my Nissan Versa that was on national back order. For almost 3 weeks West Hills Nissan in Moon Township, PA and Nissan North America treated my problem with no care and refused to give me a used car or a rental car. After talking to about a half dozen people and complaining they got some guy named Angelo from Nissan Corporate to help me. He told me Nissan parts often go on national back order and this was a common thing. He said it was too bad I didnt rent a car because he would have reimbursed me - although I was told they wouldnt when this nightmare started. Emails sent to the president of customer quality - Brad Thacker went unanswered. Ill never walk into another Nissan dealership again.

I have been a loyal Nissan owner/leaser for almost 20 years - I have literally had 9 Nissans, and have always been happy with their performance. I was 2 years into my current Pathfinder lease, and my financial situation changed dramatically due to a divorce and job loss. My income went down to a third of what it was, and the monthly payment was just too much. I understand that many people have financial hardships, but as an extremely loyal Nissan customer who NEVER missed a payment and has excellent credit, I thought that Nissan would work with me on an early termination fee reduction. Three weeks and numerous phone calls later, I was literally told by a Customer Service supervisor that while she had the power to make an adjustment, she simply couldnt break their policy. Losing my business after 20 years was apparently worth the $1800 early termination fee, or actually less than that, as I was willing to pay something on a credit card to leave this lease, and then lease a less expensive Nissan that fit my budget. I worked with Hyundai, and they gave me more than $1000 more than my Nissan dealership was willing to give me for my Pathfinder. I unfortunately have the same payment on my new vehicle, but I own instead of leasing, and I will save $100 a month on gas. At least its something... but Nissan has lost me as a customer forever.

This is the beginning of my campaign against Nissan. They build crap cars and dont stand by their product. Do not buy a Nissan. You will regret it. There are ridiculous problems that you would not expect from a car built in the 21st century. They are common across the board. The door handles come off simply by opening the door. Water pools in the driver side floorboard. The airbags will go off for no reason. The airbags are the only thing theyll fix because they know its a liability.

I purchased a 2014 Nissan Versa Note at Gladstone Nissan. Navigation system has never worked right & I spent 5 weeks taking it back & contacting dealership. They never had service handle my complaints but rather had the salesman troubleshoot to no avail. I no longer had the time to drive there & sit & especially since I did not give good survey results on Nissan survey - have been confronted by dealership employees including GM (Why would Nissan share that information that I was promised was anonymous only to be confronted personally & by phone? Nissan failed to honor their word & placed me in harms way. What was the purpose of the surveys - to punish the consumer who answers honesty?). No interest in resolving multitude of problems Ive had with the dealership, including getting my address correct, providing me with promised paperwork, deceptive practices in including other warranties with contract & being uncooperative in cancelling the contracts (see Edmunds.com consumer reviews - this is their standard). Worse yet, there are 2 recalls already - not even a month old. Nissan Consumer Affairs is a big waste of time & patronizing - they claimed they could not consider more actions because I do not have documented return visits for the car (once again, the dealership at fault) & did not return the car for recall campaigns (I did some 3 weeks prior to CA claim) at a different dealership. They have no course of action intended apparently except to not help the customer - who buys a new car which does not work as promised & identifies problem immediately. The other dealership ordered a replacement navigation system, except that they cant get them in because it is too new a car. So how am I to resolve a problem with a new car which Im stuck with when there is no one in the hierarchy of Nissan NA taking responsibility for their cars, dealerships and customer satisfaction promise? Now the ceiling in the car needs repaired. I would not recommend Nissan because they fail to support their guarantee and do nothing to resolve problems with their dealerships & car defects. I have logged some dozen hours in calls to no avail. I have new car payments on a limited income, poor health & a navigation system I purchased to navigate in a new area to get to many medical appointments/tests. Consequences of buying a Nissan: I have a new car that has a navigation screen that has pop-ups that block all visibility of the map & have expended hours lost, on the side of the road trying to clear it, and deteriorating health as a result. I have spent hours trying to contact third party vendors to cancel non-negotiated contracts & updating my mailing address because of incompetence & unethical designs of dealership. It is helpful to share my plight in social media to warn future buyers to steer away from the Nissan Versa Note, Nissan N.A., Gladstone Nissan, so that my experiences are not repeated.

I bought a used Nissan Rogue in May 2015. I had it for 2 months when, leaving my subdivision, it began to roll backward for no reason, and I had no control over it. It nearly went into a watery ditch. I tried to dismiss it when I was able to get it started again, but I was very concerned. It had just barely not missed that ditch! Then, last night I was returning from Charleston, SC and in Columbia, SC and as there was work being done on I-26, a major highway, cars were being led in every lane VERY SLOWLY by highway patrolmen, one per lane. This meant that all cars were continuously putting on brakes every few seconds. After a few attempts to put on my brakes, I began to feel that the brakes were no longer under my control, as they werent holding properly. The car then began to go backwards again, this in the middle of hundreds of cars and 18-wheeler trucks crawling at a snails pace. I was terrified as I could not control the car, and I still dont know how I avoided hitting those behind me. I suppose they were just fortunate somehow to get around me. I put my foot on the brake, but that did nothing. I then pushed the emergency brake down and had to hold down that as well. I was in the center lane in all that traffic. I had lost my cell phone, so I didnt have that. I was beginning to get hysterical. I opened the drivers door (the window wouldnt roll down at that point), flailing my hands and blowing the horn. Id already put on the emergency lights. No one helped until about 15 minutes of this, with people screaming at me. Finally a young man (God bless him!) stopped in front of me and told me he would get a highway patrolman to help. The patrolman soon arrived and told me I had to get the car removed from all the bottled traffic I was in! He then told me to put the car in neutral and then turn on the switch. In tears I told him I was afraid to take my feet off the two brakes. However, I did as he said, and the car then started forward. He told me he would hold back the mass of cars so that I could get into the slow lane. He said I would have to get back to Greenville, about 90 miles away, the best way I could. This caused me to get off onto a road in downtown Columbia, with which I wasnt at all familiar. After driving around, I stopped at a McDonalds where a worker told me how to get back on I-26. I had to drive slowly and carefully back home. This happened last night, January 13, 2016. I had previously made an appointment for January 21 to have Greer Nissan check out the car after the previous problem in my subdivision as someone there told me it may be the drive train. I had to get it to a dealership before 60, 000 miles as my extended warranty declared. When I got back home, this morning I called AAA to tow the car to the dealership as I was just 20 miles short of 60,000 miles. Well, the dealership has had it today and can find nothing wrong with it. Theyve driven it several times, and checked it out but have come up with nothing. (REALLY?) I told them SOMETHING is terribly wrong, so they agreed to keep it until tomorrow. After reading all the previous complaints about Nissan automobiles, I know I have a lemon, and I now call it the Death Car. I am afraid to drive it. I am a widow on a very limited income, so theres no extra money to put into that car. God, please help me!

I like it. Very roomy, large trunk area, sits high up off the road, good gas mileage, fashionable interior, lots of leg room, lots of cup holders and places to charge cell phones. I also like the in-car garage opener, Bluetooth, hands-free phone, back up camera, navigation, keyless start, heated seats, front camera, and air in the back seat. However, I would change the rear door feature to include a foot response, alarm when seatbelt is not fastened, wide area for camera to cover, and a smaller window visor for my Hum to be attached to.

Went to the local dealership twice for assistance in obtaining a nav update for my 2013 Pathfinder. Got bounced between the Head of Service and Parts multiple times and was finally told I guess you have to go online. Well after searching for about two hours I came across a Nissan page with a map update promising to be the latest and guaranteed to work on my vehicle. I placed that order. This was on a Friday morning. As I checked out and finalized the order I was redirected to none other than the main site for Nissan Nav updates that I had been searching for on the web for hours. Unfortunately, running my nav and vin showed that the order just placed was a three year old update. Finally found the correct update, ordered it and placed a call to customer service to cancel the first order. Sat on hold for an hour and got cut off. So I sent an email to customer service explaining the problem. No luck speaking to anyone Saturday when they stated they were open just another hour on hold, Monday evening sat on hold for an hour till someone picked up. Was helpful and said hed put me on hold for a few minutes and text instructions to return the first order on their dime when it arrived, and oh, by the way he said that one would NOT work in my vehicle. After about 3 minutes I got a fast busy, then a long squeal and then sat on hold in silence for another 45 minutes till I gave up. Now another email to customer service - their response was when it arrives call customer service - thanks but no thanks - Ive filed a complaint with Paypal which I used to pay the first order. Will try again tomorrow. I know for a FACT Toyota, Chevy, Ford, even Hyundai and Kia have customer service that is FAR superior to Nissan, this was the last thing I expected, God help me if I ever have a real problem. This will be my last Nissan. It is back to Toyota, Chevy or Ford for this man, Ive had them all, plus Hyundai and Kia all have better service and run just as good and have just as few, likely less problems and the body integrity on all of them is much better.

There they say they cannot find out what is wrong with it but they too cannot get it to start. When I called them today they are now saying they believe it may be something wrong with the transmission. Thank god I bought an extended warranty on it. I cannot be upset with the service department as so far they have been very nice and I do have a rental car compliments of Nissan. But with this car having less than 40000.00 miles and the transmission going out already that is not a good sign. Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one
Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one star as there is no Zero that I can provide as a rating. Purchased three Nissan Vehicles from our local dealership. 1st was a 2012 Frontier (SL). Fully certified with less than 6,000 miles in 2015. The following issue came to light AFTER I purchased the truck. Both front and rear bumpers had to be replaced due to damage from the sale person who we found out drove the truck to pull his boat. He off set the bumpers and caused the braces to be pulled down causing the bumpers to pull away from the frame. The brakes were replaced twice at a cost of $680 each time. The initial brake repair was not proper repaired as the dealership used third party parts. Actually told me that and then claim they were Nissan parts - but had faults. Cost me two brake jobs and complete bumper replacements and the story is just starting. When I felt unsafe in the vehicle I was going to sell it back to Nissan. That is when the adjuster informed me that the right side fender has been damaged and repaired. Also the front glass had been replace incorrectly. None of this was on the CARFAX, nor reported to me at the time of sale. Now my wife has a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle has portions of the front bumper pulling away from the body. The dealership informed me that my wife must have hit a parking block and dragged the frame over the block which has caused damage to the underside of the car. My wife may drive her car less than 3000 a year and SHE did it. No I think when they were preparing the car was sell they hit the lifting rack and caused the damage. The foot lift door doesnt work. No problem the dealership will tell you as they really never work correctly. NICE!I have a 2015 Frontier from the same dealership. I just purchased the vehicle less than one month ago as I need to have a truck. Stupid me - thinking that everything would go well. Fooled me again! Yesterday the truck would not start leaving me well out of my local area. When we tried to replace the battery I found that wires and the battery were so corroded that it needed to replace the wiring and the battery. That was a great cost of funds. What does the 100 point inspect include? So I have been a fool for the third times. This is my fault. But I want everyone to know that you need to find a solid dealership that respect you and values your business.

There are 76,000 miles on my Nissan Xterra. While attempting to pull out onto a roadway my vehicle lost power and would not accelerate to a normal speed. So thankful I was not in heavy traffic. After having two different local repair shops assess the vehicle, I found that Nissan used faulty radiators on certain year models that allowed fluid to leak into the transmission and destroy it. I contacted Nissan and ConsumerAffairs didnt think I had wasted enough of my time and money and told me to take it to a certified Nissan shop for a diagnosis before they would even consider helping... so I did. After waiting another week or two, they finally called me back to say they could not help because the vehicle was out of warranty. I pointed out that my vehicle only has 76,000 miles and the transmission issue was caused by an issue Nissan was well aware of (but had not recalled the vehicles to fix the issue). That didnt seem to matter. THE VERY LEAST THAT NISSAN SHOULD DO IS OFFER A DISCOUNTED PRICE ON A NEW TRANSMISSION. I will NEVER buy another Nissan.

Myself and a few family members of mine have driven nothing but Nissans for the past several years. My moms first Nissan was an 01 Altima. She drove it for 5 years and 230k miles with nary an issue. Her next vehicle was an 06 Sentra. Another five years, another 230k miles with no issues. Her current vehicle is a 2011 Sentra that has 215k miles. The only major repair has been the crank sensor. She had such good luck with Nissans I decided to purchase a used Versa Hatchback. It had 26k on it when the ex and I purchased it. I commuted with it for three years and traded it in at 140k miles (due to personal issues) with no issues.I drove a 13 Versa for a year until I was rear ended and it was totaled by a drunk driver. I accrued 52k miles on it with no troubles. After that I got a 14 Sentra 6 SPD. I drove it for a year and accrued 45k miles on it with no issues. I found myself needing a truck so I traded it in for a Frontier. Ive had it for two months and 8k miles and am extremely happy with it. I plan on keeping it for a long time. The point is you will occasionally get the troubled anomaly, but all in all Nissan makes a good product.

They have unethical billing practices. I not only leased two vehicles from them but have only been a customer for less than 2 months and regret ever going into business with them. I have been on the phone with so many of their reps and supervisors, people feeding me different ** and after more time, stress and headache, never getting to an actual solution, but rather the way they would have it, money for them and an unhappy customer. This company is known for their terrible billing practices. Even the Mass Turnpike knew I had a Nissan without me giving any personal account information because this is what Nissan does. Thats a good reputation you’ve built for yourself Nissan. I hope I can help the next potential buyer so that when they read this, they go get a Honda instead. Trust me, you will regret getting into business with this company. I am seriously looking into getting a lawyer about this because this is just wrong. I made it so easy for them to resolve the issue, but they keep coming back with ridiculous reasons for why they cannot do that. If I was with another dealer, this would not even be an issue I would have to be resolving.

I took my 2013 rogue for brake shoes, check and told the service advisor that when the car is stopped at a stop sign or signal lights, the car makes a noise like the motor is falling apart. He stated he would check it. Next day he told me brake shoes are OK and that noise is normal. He said the brake shoes needed cleaning but would continue to make that noise. The strange noise that I also was concerned about, he stated it was from having the air on and the gas needs to idle more to keep it running. He said both noises are normal and it will always do that. I am disgusted and so I am trying to trade the car in. First Nissan car that I am not happy with!

I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Nissan rouge 8 months ago. Very recently after driving for an hour when I get to a sign stop or an intersection, the car does not accelerate no matter how hard I hit the gas pedal. Cars behind me start honking, cussing, and I know that one of these days Im getting into an accident. Im waiting for the Consumer Affairs specialist to call me. I already took the car to an authorized Nissan service center and the mechanic confirmed its the CVT transmission. The car has 79k miles, no warranty and the extended warranty that Nissan offers does not include my VIN. I hope to get positive news from the specialist and Nissan will be paying for the repair cost or else I will have to file a lawsuit. Ive read so many complaints about this car and for Nissan to not take action, it is a shame, perhaps an accident, a lawsuit will make Nissan to take proper action to protect its customers.

I wanted a vehicle that would be low maintenance, fuel efficient, & nice to drive. Instead had disappointment after disappointment & not to mention poor customer service. Constant problem with the push to start button & Nissan dealer asking for $1000 to repair something that should be on recall. :(

At first I loved my Nissan Rogue. Bought it brand new. Once winter hit and I attempted to use the AWD but my car was all over the road. My Altima and Cavalier I had prior were much better.

I had a beautiful WORKING 2011 Nissan Sentra. But after being flooded by a hurricane I ended up getting a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The car was great until 12k. It started to have all kinds of issues and after a long back and forth, I sold the car back to Nissan. (But here is the kicker, even though the brakes were faulty on it and would wear out too fast (I was not riding them), Nissan still refused to refund me. So I had to take a huge loss and look for a new car with already negative equity). The dealership I bought my 2013 Sentra with was willing to work with me and got me into a 2014 Nissan Altima. (Of course with payments being high and this was the only deal I could get.)A month of owning the car, I get a call from Nissan saying I did not make a payment for my 2013 Sentra and the car is in jeopardy of being repo. I told the guy that I sold the car and asked why that information was not in the computer. Thinking it was an honest mistake, I called the Nissan Dealership where I bought the Altima and they said, Oh yeah we sent that in, you should be fine. 2 months of owning the Altima I get another call asking about payments on the Sentra. Then 2 days after that, I get a letter stating that I was not approved for the loan on the Altima and needed to return it. I was confused because I had already made 2 payments towards the loan on the Altima. I called corporate Nissan and asked what was going on. They stated that when I applied for the loan, I was approved but then I got disapproved. WHAT??? I stated that I already made two payments for the Altima and was wondering where that money was going. They told me Oh that is going towards your loan. I asked what loan was that. The 2013 Nissan Sentra. I could not believe that I was paying for a car that was no longer in my possession. (It was even sold at the dealership.) I immediately called the Nissan Dealership and asked what was going on. They said not to worry. We will fix it. A month later I get the same letter. Repeating last month, I finally got the whole situation resolved. I took my car into its first oil change and then the problems started occurring. The radio and back up camera stopped working after a month. I took the car in to express my concerns about the radio. They updated it and said Everything is good to go. I didnt even leave the lot and I put the car into reverse, the camera flickers green and shuts off. Then the radio reset itself and shuts down. I went back in to tell them nothing was fixed. They replied Oh we will have to order a new radio. That will take about 2 weeks. I took the car home and waited 2 weeks for the radio to arrive. Once it came in, they replaced it and I tested out, everything seemed great and I drove off. 5 hours later it stops working again. (Keep in mind this radio is brand new.) I take it back in and they hold it for a week to find out the issue. Upon returning the car to me, they told me they replaced the back up camera and the radio.I have had the car for a day and now there is a very loud clicking and rattling noise coming from the engine. THE ENGINE! Now I am not a mechanic but I am pretty sure you do not need to access the engine when replacing a backup camera and a radio. I called the dealership where it was for the past week and there was no answer. (I called 5 times.) Then I tried a different Nissan dealership and was told, Well we dont want to touch what they have done and would need copies of all the paperwork. Also if we were to move forward, we would have to call that dealership to get permission from them to work on the car. WHAT?! Last I checked I am paying the monthly payments on my car, not the dealership. I tried contacting Nissan consumer affairs and they tell me Take it to your local dealer. It is my dealer that has caused this mess. I cant take it to a different dealership because they want permission, I cant get a hold of anyone from my current dealership, and I am stuck with this car because of the negative equity. This is my last Nissan. Their mechanics are terrible and their whole business is shady. I am done.

Bought a new truck in June of 2020. Within the first few months it had 2 radiator leaks, showed signs of a/c leaking and possible injector leak at the 1 and 3 cylinders due to dirt build up around them. After passing by police radar on the side of the road at 40 mph on speedometer it showed 37, 36, so 4 mph off. When I took it in to the dealership with the radiator leaking fixed one leak completely a loose screw on the radiator switched radiator cap from radiator to overflow slowed the leak ordered new radiator cap. While their computer was reset to attempt to fix speedometer. After reset at low speed 40 mph radar showed 39 mph. After getting past left and right at highway speeds used GPS speedometer which showed me only doing 72 sometimes 73.To reach 75 mph on GPS speedometer must get to 78 or 79mph on my dash. This greatly increases the mileage on the vehicle and runs the warranty out sooner also greatly reduces resale value of the vehicle. The first time I towed a trailer weighing 2200 pounds and a 24 hp compact tractor weighing less than 2200lbs the receiver hitch cracked and Nissan has done nothing to replace it! The last two things that was in the initial list of issues the battery terminals were never coated with corrosion inhibitor and the bed wasnt mounted properly leaving roughly a 1 inch gap of alignment from the side of the bed from the cab. So if you are looking down the truck from the tailgate instead of the bed blending into the can you see it bend inwards from the outside of the bed towards the drivers side of the truck. Well I had also complained about squeaking noises from the front end and was blown off.I have been trying to get the truck repaired for over a year now to no avail. In May 2021 went to check fluids under then noticed that the headlight was cracked roughly 1 to 2 inches from mounting bolt under the hood, went to other side it was cracked as well. Shut hood got to looking center of hood aligns perfectly with grill but both the driver and passenger sides are off. Gaps between hood and fenders arent even. Its about the opposite of the gaps in the tailgate due to it being misaligned. This vehicle was never wrecked unless something happened to it before my purchase at 48 miles. Nissan doesnt want anything to do with me or the repairs that are warranty repairs. If you are thinking about buying a new Nissan save yourself the headache. Buy something better. Service after the sale is horrible. Nissan consumer affairs has promised to fix these issues since my first call. It now has been in the shop for over a month in total this visit 3 weeks and going and as of 4 days ago hadnt even been looked at. Beware of what you buy.

I bought my Nissan Titan in 2017 with 100,000 bumper to warranty. Took it to Universal Nissan for my regular service 35,000 miles, and let them know we have moisture inside the headlight. They said they contact Nissan and the headlight was on order on 1/13/22. Called the Dealer and they said the headlight came in early March. Vehicle check in 3/16/22, called 4hrs later to check on the status, service advisor stated it should be ready in an one hour. In 30 minutes he called back stated that the headlight replacement was denied Nissan. They could not provide any paperwork why it is declined. They gave a case number that did not exist when I called Nissan Consumer Affairs. They finally called back 4/1/2022 stating the dealer denied the coverage not Nissan. The rep from Consumer Affairs stated that they will send a letter stating why it was denied. I bought 3 Nissans, never again.

Extremely poor customer service from Nissan UK after reporting numerous faults on my new car (Nissan Note). The local dealer has done their best with no support from the manufacturer. The car has the following problems - front wings have been changed after painting. Windscreen trims loose and fell off. Drive belt replaced due to slipping. Front window trims NS/OS not fitting. Front NS seat base cover keeps coming off. Water leaks into rear OS footwell caused by two seam welds being missed in manufacturing a damaged air vent and dented body panel. Air conditioning pump leaking and no gas but very noisy. I would definitely recommend staying clear of a new Nissan of any type.
