I own a 2009 Nissan Rogue and my transmission just went out. I understand completely that a vehicle is a vehicle and all vehicles will have problems every now and then. What I dont understand is why the heck is Nissan still marketing their vehicles with the CVT transmissions? I know a lot of people who owned a Altima, Maxima, Murano and I asked the question of why did you guys get rid of your vehicles? Their responses were they started to hear grinding noises coming from the transmission and the transmission would idle past 2k rpms at a complete stop and once they take off the transmission would change gears so hard that it felt like they were being rear ended and so they didnt trust the CVT transmission and got rid of their vehicle before any major mechanical issues occurred. Three weeks ago I began experiencing the same problem and Sunday June 14th I went to turn into the grocery store parking lot and tried to give it a little more gas and all it did was idle and then immediately my service engine light kept flashing. I had the vehicle towed to a Nissan dealership and it was confirmed my transmission went out and to top it off they are non repairable. So not only do I not have a vehicle but I am also making a very decent payment on the vehicle and my warranty has expired. To everyone out there looking to purchase a Nissan. I highly recommend that you do not buy their products until they discontinue the CVT transmissions. If youre interested in how Nissan vehicles look rather than the quality of the vehicle then have at it. Trust me when I say you will be glad you didnt purchase any of their vehicles with the CVT transmission. I only wish I wouldve done my homework before purchasing my vehicle.

My airbag light came on and my passenger air bag indicator showed off. I took to my local mechanic who told me there was a voluntary recall P8242 and therefore I needed to go to a dealership since this was covered under warranty. I took my vehicle to Haldeman Nissan in Hamilton NJ and was told it was not covered due to the wrong vin #. I should call Nissan consumer affairs. I was told someone would be back to me by end of day next day. That morning after supplying all information including quote of 4911.52 from dealership to repair (lined up exactly to recall repair) told nothing they could do since wrong vin #. I consider this not standing behind their product. A known issue and they will not fix a vehicle with approximately 60k miles. Last Nissan I will purchase. Also told by mechanic transfer case leaking and due to rust on my rotors they should be replaced. A small amount of rust accumulated since I had been on vacation and car was not used. Felt like they were trying to pull a fast one. Back to Ford/Mazda for me.

Dear Nissan, for everyone that had a car before the policies changed for the 8 payment extensions to 6 payment extensions you should still honor them because we were told something that is no longer being honored. I understand that it is a courtesy, but that doesnt change the fact that you should honor your word to us because when you say something you should do it. Especially for some of us who have been loyal towards our payments and the Nissan Corporation. Also, we never get anything for being a customer. We hardly get discounts and the service team at almost every location is always trying to sell you another car for overpriced numbers. Unsatisfied.

Nissan has known their transmissions were faulty and yet did not make the consumers aware. When our transmission had to be replaced, their response was for us to join the class action lawsuit. We paid $3500 for the replacement to Nissan and they couldnt offer to pay at least half. Only offered us lip service. We are very good car owners and usually keep our cars a long time without major repairs. Never Nissan again. We are not unique, hence the reason of the class action suit.

I bought my 2012 Pathfinder with 2,500 miles about a month ago. It has been in the dealer seven times, twice for the car will jump into 4X4 automatically and check engine light comes on. Due to some bogus info from the tech at the dealer about too much trans fluid being put in, Nissan has voided my warranty for the trans. No one will call me back from Nissan executive levels or even try to help in any way. The car has 4,000 miles on it and I am over a barrel. If anyone has any contact number or Carlos **s phone number, let me know. Thanks.

I own a 2003 350z Touring and the outside door handles are complete crap. I dont know if this is planned obsolescence, but the fact that they are made out of cheap plastic and break all the time is ridiculous. Ive been to many Nissan forums and EVERYONE with this model car has had the same issues. Why has there been no recall if its such a popular issue? The plastic on the inside of the handle that holds the spring in place constantly breaks into pieces from the pressure. Also, the window motors have both recently gone out. I had to crawl through the hatch to get in my car today and since the hydraulics went out on the hatch, that made it that much more of a hassle. All of this and I have only had the car for 6 months. What next? I have owned many cars but this is my first Nissan and Ive never felt like there was planned obsolescence like I have with this car. Does anyone know how something gets recalled?

In 2011, I purchased a 2011 Versa. After driving it for a few months, the new model came out with a different body style. I traded my 2011 model for a 2012. I purchased an extended maintenance warranty on the 2011, received a refund for it and purchased another maintenance warranty for the 2012 Versa. After a few months in February 2012, I totaled the 2012 Versa and requested to have the remainder of the maintenance warranty returned to me. I went to dealership and completed all of the required paperwork and turned it in to my salesman (the guy in the finance office was busy). I was told that the money would be mailed to my house within 4-6 weeks. After 2 months (in May 2012), I called dealership to let them know that I had not received my refund and was told they would look into it. Every month from then until now, I have called the dealership and still nothing has happened. I am being given the runaround by the finance manager and the accounting manager. I will never purchase another Nissan in my life.

The promotion is a complete failure. I am unable to register or to log in; the instructions in the Internet are to enter either the pin code or the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), while the instruction on the colorful mailing is to enter the pin code and repair order invoice. Also, on the mailing is an instruction to scan to enter. The local employees in S. Burlington are completely uninformed of the sweepstakes. Repeated phone calls to the local office are either not answered, or unanswered by people with no knowledge of the sweepstakes. I called a number once asking for help; a man answered saying there was a problem, but he managed to enter my registration. On the second try, neither my registration nor log in information would work. If Nissan is going to run a sweepstake, it should be done with much more care.

I bought a new 2018 Versa S plus in July. It gets good gas mileage and looks good. That’s where the good ends... The bad, The CVT transmission has an intermittent issue where it vibrates or shudders when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot find an issue. The main seal where engine meets transmission is seeping oil. The dealer refused to acknowledge it was oil (called it a liquid) and said Nissan will not cover repair unless it is dripping on the ground! Really???I’ve had my oil changed twice, both times at two different Nissan dealerships. Both times they overfilled oil. First time they pumped 5 qts into a car in which the owners manual states 3.75 qts and had to drain some out. The 2nd time they put in 4 qts and had to drain some out. The incompetence in these authorized Nissan dealerships is bewildering!I’ve had three 27 point inspection and not one mention of the oil that is leaking from main seal. The green box is checked for leaks underneath car! I will be changing my own oil going forward and saving receipts. At least I know it will be done right... I will not purchase another Nissan product based off of my experience with the brand and incompetent service centers. I will definitely be selling this car before warranty is expired.

I purchase a 2012 Nissan Juke Oct 2013 with 5700 miles - now 15,000 miles, it kept on cutting out. I took it into my local dealer. After paying 88£ they told me it would need a new gearbox (value 6700) and just fob me off, saying warranty expired since March of this year. As a single mother with 3 children, I just cant afford it and the sales person whom was soon nice to me before I purchased the car now fobs me off and say there is nothing they can do. Everyone (9) spoke to says its a manufacturer fault and they should consider giving me at least a refurbished gearbox, etc. as for such a new car with low mileage. The gearbox shouldnt have stop working and an automatic transmission at that.

I recently traded in my 2012 Nissan Versa for a 2015 Nissan Versa Note with the Woodfield Nissan dealership in Schaumburg, IL. There was a promotion being run in the Spring wherein Nissan was paying a few months worth of monthly lease payments if satisfied customers were willing to buy or lease another Nissan from the company. I went to the dealership and drove off in my new car. I asked MULTIPLE TIMES, when I traded in my vehicle, if they needed to inspect the car before accepting it in order to properly negotiate my new price/payment. I was repeatedly told that either it didnt matter or that there was nothing to worry about. There was no further explanation given. I am on my 3rd consecutive Nissan (1st Nissan was purchased used, then 2nd and 3rd were leased new) and my husband also has a Nissan Altima. We have never missed, nor have either of us been late, on one payment. NOT ONE. When my credit was run at the dealership, it came back in the top 12% of everyone in the country. 4 months after leaving the dealership, I received a bill from Vital Recovery Services, apparently the go-to creditors for Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp in the amount of $200-$250. I called Vital Recovery Services and was informed that there was Excessive Damage to my previous lease. I had not received any notice of this debt prior to the letter from Vital Recovery Services. This was the 1st letter I received from Vital Recovery Services. I offered to pay the debt immediately, before even investigating, if (and only if) my failure to pay immediately would cause harm to my credit history and/or credit report. I was told, by two different customer service specialists with Vital Recovery Services, that I would NOT have this debt reported to any credit agencies. After further research, apparently all leases are inspected by an outside company (meaning that the individual dealerships dont have any part in the decision-making process in regards to the condition of the leases turned in). They have a $500 credit for damages that they give to each customer turning in a lease, and I had somehow exceeded this amount by more than $200 (amounting to more than $700 in damages). Now, my MAIN GOAL of my new lease was to get a monthly payment below $200 (which I was able to obtain). So, it stands to reason that a bill for over $200 would cause me distress. But, I am in the process of buying my 1st home so I paid the bill just to remove any chance of having a negative mark on my credit report. I was told that I wouldnt from Vital Recovery Services and thought that would take care of the problem. Even though I searched online and found hundreds and hundreds of dissatisfied customers who were in the same situation of owing Nissan (and by proxy, Vital Recovery Services) hundreds of dollars for unspecified (and according to everyone we spoke to, undocumented, or at least we were not given any detailed information on the documented damages), I still just paid the $200 - $250 debt so that I wouldnt have issues with obtaining the best possible mortgage rate. But, when my mortgage broker/bank put together my mortgage I had to write a detailed explanation of why I had an outstanding/negative mark from Nissan/Vital Recovery on my Credit History Report. Its bad enough that my husband and I, in our early and mid-thirties, have vowed NEVER to purchase a Nissan again in our lives (as I stated above, we already have owned or leased 4 in the past 5 years between the 2 of us), but paying them off without too much of an argument after my first received collection letter STILL didnt remove the ONLY negative mark on my credit report. Typing this very long review of Nissan is fueled by anger, as is the complaints I filed with the BBB against Vital Recovery, Nissan Motors, and Woodfield Nissan. On top of that, our new Versa Note is making some loud noises and I am so livid. Im dreading the day I have to bring the car into the dealership to get it fixed. Hopefully that goes smoothly but I will amend this review as warranted.

The Nissan was a smooth ride and engine was quiet but there were other problems that made the car very weak although the price was very good. Had so many problems that I traded in car for another and service was not that great with replacement parts needed often and the same problem kept occurring which made me question whether car make was viable. There were many problems with fuel pump that had to be replaced several times and gas tank was very small so had to fill up frequently and originally car just stalled in the middle of the road when driving due to malfunctioned fuel pump which was very dangerous.

So, I just came back from the military and I wanted to buy a brand new car from Nissan of Queens. I went to the dealer and inquire about buying the selected car that I wanted to purchase for cheap. I was disappointed with the customer service because I didnt get to get my military discount that should have been applied at the time of my purchase. I feel that if someone is in the military and being a woman, we shouldnt be taken for advantage due to the lack of experience or knowledge that entails in purchasing the vehicle. I am still continuing to fight this issue because it is ridiculous that I have to still pay off my car which the total I had to pay for my vehicle was almost 26,500. I still have to pay off my car and I do not think it is fair. The car dealer that sold me the car was only concerned about the commission that he is putting inside his pockets. I wish that I have never purchase my car from him, because he ripped me off. All I wanted to do was purchase my car and serve my country to help others and in return I was never helped. It is very sad to see that younger folks in the retail industry never discuss things of importance to someone like myself that went into the dealership to purchase a vehicle by myself.

We have a 2013 Nissan Altima that started having drivetrain issues around 85,000 miles. The unreliable, poorly designed CVT seems to be the issue. After getting 2 quotes from 2 different dealerships, (one at $3742, and the other at $3565). I asked the dealership to see if this could get covered under good will or for Nissan to cover some of the cost since the extended warranty covered the car to 84 months or 84,000 miles. The claim was rejected because they said the timeframe was too far out. Nissan knows they have problems with this transmission, otherwise they would have never been forced to extend the warranty on 2003 - 2010 Nissans for 10 years or 120,000 miles or the 2012 - 2020 models for 84 months or 84,000 miles.Nissan should be held responsible for covering a defected product that they continue to use. Please dont make the same mistake I did, do your research and do not buy a car from Nissan, especially one with this CVT system. I am having an independent shop to fix my car because I refuse to give Nissan anymore of my money. I for one will never buy a Nissan product again!!!!

I want to know if anyone else is having a problem with their Rogue not accelerating in the expressway. I was driving back from Alabama to Atlanta yesterday evening and took my foot off the gas pedal briefly and as I tried to give my car gas, the car wouldnt go pass 40 miles per hour per speedometer. I almost had an accident with my child in my car trying to pull over from the left lane to get to the emergency lane. After waiting two hours for the road side assistance to locate me, my car was towed to the nearest dealership. I finally was able to get it back to Atlanta that same night. No check engine light came on at all. The car seems to be running fine. Took it to the dealership to be check and was informed that I need a new transmission.

Purchased a used Nissan GTR from Atlanta, classic cars within two months the radio and transmission failed. Took the car to Nissan to see if they could repair the transmission they said no but went on to say they would replace it at a cost of $18000. Said it wasnt covered under warranty. Had to have the car trucked across town to have it fixed since Nissan didnt know how to repair it. The car was driven into the Nissan repair shop but when they took the transmission oil pan off the car to check it the car was no longer able to be driven and I had to have it trucked to my home and then to the repair shop across town for the repair. The shop across town had the transmission repaired in under a week. The car drove better than when I first purchased it. Cost me over 5000 dollars for the repair for which Nissan didnt pay a dime. Nissan also charged me $1034.00 to check the transmission that they could not repair which rendered the car undrivable. Lesson learned - dont ever buy a Nissan. Never again in my lifetime. Big rip off. Nissan left parts out of the tranny that they knew would cause it to fail and then didnt want to foot the bill to repair it. Nissan sucks.

I am under the required mileage and I bought the car used with under 30k miles. The car begin to cut off and idle down without any warning so I took it to the dealership where I live and they said I needed to replace the engine and/or transmission and that this was a ongoing problem with Nissan. I have read all the forums and Nissan is aware of the issues but will not issue a recall.I would like for them to take ownership and repair my car, I am a retired disabled veteran and I need my car to go back and forth to my doctors appointments. If I dont get any satisfaction, I am prepared to go to the local news to let them do a story on how Nissan mistreats its customers and disabled vets. I am a member of National Organization of Veterans Advocates (NOVA) and they are waiting to see the outcome of this before they intervene. Nissan knows that this is an ongoing problem and they should do the right thing by allowing me to use my car warranty to fix the issue. I am on a fixed income and I cant afford to pay absorbent amounts of money for car repairs, that is why I purchased the car warranty.

Searched online for Nissan problems with gas gauge and vehicle shutting down. During research found a listed recall for nissan frontier models #10v07500 where it list a faulty fuel sensor unit. Person told me that it was not a recall but a warranty that was listed in 2010 and expired in 2012. The fuel sensor unit is faulty giving false fuel tank readings. I asked what about the recall, gave them my 2006 nissan frontier nismo 4.0 info and veh ID. All they gave me was a ref# **, and said I have to take them to the dealer here but it was not warranted and I cant get an appointment till next year in MID january.Somehow it seems the fuel pump might be an issue as twice I have stalled in traffic and once coming down our H3 highway. Can you say scared as the vehicle cuts off and you have no control, but hard steering and brakes that cant work as if the truck was running would be easier to stop. Glad there wasnt the pali because I would not be writing this and my family probably sue nissan. Now my truck has quit. Nissan is closed have to take to outside mechanic as I work daily to try to support my family in this expensive island.

In 2014 my husband and I bought a brand new 2014 Nissan Rogue. I thought I had my dream car; little did I know, it was a nightmare car. In the last three years we have owned the car it has been in the shop at least 5 times for repairs that were covered under our warranty and two other times for voluntary recalls. I knew there was something not right with the transmission less than a year after we purchased the car. It made funny noises and jumped when changing gears. After 2 and a half years and many attempts to have Nissan look into the problem they finally replaced the transmission when it about fell out in their parking lot! Now, less than a month after having the transmission replaced, I am sitting here trying to get the air conditioning looked at cause there seems to be a leak that WAS NOT there before the transmission replacement. Nissan corporate has refused a buyback and I am stuck with a new car that I am still paying for that is still under warranty which has more problems than any used car Ive ever had!!

2008 Nissan Versa CVT Problem. I am crying right now. I do not know what I am going to do. The other day I was driving and took my girlfriend home and the gas light came on. It was late and me being a woman decided to get gas the next day. So I did but when I was half way out of my apts the gas pedal quit working. I thought I had run out of gas so I had to go about 5 miles an hour over across the street to the gas station. Put gas in it and it drove fine and to the grocery store right up the street. On my way home it ran fine and when I turned into my apts the gas pedal quit working again. I have it in a shop for about two weeks and they tell me they cannot figure out what is wrong. They believe it is the CVT. They said it was just a fluke that about me being low of gas that this doesnt have anything to do with it. That it is getting plenty of gas but the transmission isnt receiving the information or something like that.I just got online and have seen over 800 different complaints about the CVT on these Nissans. My life is over if it is the transmission. I am on disability and 65 years old. I barely make it as it is. If I do not have a vehicle I cannot go to my doctor or to the grocery store. I have no family. God what am I gonna do. Does anyone know where I can file a complaint at least. So maybe in the future people will see it and not buy a Nissan and be stuck walking like me. Why doesnt Nissan make good on these. Why??

I have a 2010 Nissan Versa sedan. I have had the service engine light on almost the entire time Ive had the car, or at least since the warranty ran out. The diagnostic code indicates a fuel system leak, which has already been recalled on other models but not mine. I am also experiencing fuel pressure regulator problems, which was also a technical service bulletin for other Nissan Versas just not my VIN number. Im furious that known problems arent being evaluated properly for all years and/or models. Ive had my car in the shop several times because it wont start, FPR issues. Im spending my money on rental cars and inspections of my vehicle while Im still paying off my Nissan Versa and Nissan isnt doing anything about a problem that is known because they are limiting which VIN numbers to provide service to. However, the dealer who has provided service for other recalls on my vehicle keeps calling me trying to get me to buy another Nissan. I feel they are aware of the problem and instead of offering service they want me to buy another Nissan. Im disgusted with the lack of service for known problems. I feel these issues need to be expanded to other year makes outside of the bulletin as it is tight now.

I was told the #3 cylinder had very low compression and needed a new engine. With only 77k miles how could this be? Called Nissan and told me to take it to a Nissan Authorized Dealer for diagnostics, so Consumer Affairs will review, which I had to tow it there and pay another diagnostic, only to have Consumers Affair deny any assistance for a new engine, because it was outside the perimeter of being out of warranty, pre-owned and I wasnt a loyal Nissan customer for maintenance (I just got the car over the summer). My daughter previously owned the Versa and loyally took it to a Nissan Dealership where she bought it. There have been several complaints of low compression issues not only for Versa but other Nissan models. Although Im sure they are aware, they will do nothing about it.So Im stuck with having to pay for a new engine or dump the car! My son went from excited to drive a newer car to disappointed. It is no longer operable. Had I not paid off the car when I purchase it from my daughter ($5100 left to pay) for my son, she would have had to make payments to the bank for an inoperable car. I was so adamant about my son (new teen driver) having a newer, safe car, certainly wasnt expecting a Nissan vehicle to need a new engine with only 77k miles. Thought Nissan are supposed to run much longer. Very dissatisfied with how Nissan wont back their product.

Where do I start. 1) They dont have a person responsible or accountable for overall consumer affairs. 2) They dont have a email add where you can reach out to the Consumer Affairs team. 3) They only talk over phone, but will refuse to write down what they say over the phone in an email. What are they trying to hide. If you are communicating with a customer, what difference does it make if you write instead of talk. Is it because they cannot be held against what they say since no one will have any records of it. Absolute joke. Good luck to those who own a Nissan and need help from the Consumer Affairs. Other stay away. And to those who own a Nissan with a CVT. My prayers are with you!!!

I purchased 2019 Nissan Sentra SV, and within 6 months of driving now my car doesnt pick up properly and I can hear machine noise from my car. Its just 1 year old and I am experiencing this issue. MY car heating also does not work fully, it takes at least 20mins. If I have kept my A/C or Heater on, then car does not go beyond 60MPH and I have to give maximum acceleration. Engine is faulty and Nissan Dealer is not ready to fix this.

I recently bought a Nissan Juke. My Cube had died at 260000 miles after it carried me through 7 of my 14 Caravan To Catch a killer tours for my daughter. It seemed I got a pretty good interest rate with Nissan finance. 3 days before the first payment was due March 13th I attempted to go online and was able to access the website. March 13th was my first payment since I bought the card January 28th but on March 12th it was telling me I was already past due one payment than that old 800 dollars. I still decided to try to play them and I knew was due. but when I tried to access the Bill Matrix every time I click on it it would not open. The next morning the 13th, I went on Nissan finances website and every time I click make a payment it kicked me off the website. Id sign back in, it kicked me out. Then I tried calling twice. First it said it couldnt find my account by my social security numbe. At first, it wouldnt take my account number then when it finally did, instead of giving payment options, it sent me to talk to somebody but people dont man phones on weekend and hung me up - ten-to-one it was sending me somewhere for being overdue which I wasnt. This was on the 12th and I didnt owe 2 payments. Finally last night I went on and got on the website and actually opened bill matrix. I needed an option putting it on the credit card and it listed discover as an option. I put in my account number and all the other information and click on choose payment, it only gave me the option of debit card or check... again possibly because it was saying I was past due which I wasnt.Today Monday, it is a day late. I have called 4 times and each time I was on hold for 33 minutes before I hung up. The last time I started at 515 Central Standard Time and was still on hold until 6 w. They closed their real life people at 7. Im right in the process of trying to push for a law here in Oklahoma and at times must use my credit to help support it through publications etc as well as travel on my CARAVAN tours to seek tips for daughters killer. And there is no email or direct way to get through.

I took my 2008 Nissan Rogue to get new tires. When the tire shop took the old tires off, they discovered that the tire pressure sensors were corroded and loose and couldnt be tightened. Their policy is that they cant replace the tires without replacing the sensors because that would be disabling a safety feature. So, I had them replace the two worst sensors at a cost of $300.00, more than the cost of two tires, and put the new tires on. The other two sensors were corroded also, but they could still be tightened. Upon leaving the store, I went to the Nissan dealer to see if I could get some compensation for this because the car was only 4 years old with 59,000 miles. I was told that I couldnt because the work was done somewhere besides the dealer. I had no choice but to get the work done by the tire shop because they couldnt send the car out the door with the safety feature disabled. Next I went to a Consumer Affairs website and found out that there was a recall on 2008 Nissan Rogues for said tire pressure sensors. The service manager at the Nissan dealer never mentioned this recall. I then called Ken **, the GM at the Nissan dealer, explained the situation and mentioned that I knew about the recall. At this point, he said the recall was VIN specific and that my vehicle was not covered. Obviously, if my vehicle isnt covered, it should be because the problem is the same as the one covered by the recall. Shouldnt I be compensated for the cost of the sensors and have the other two replaced at no cost?

Nissan quietly extended the warranty for the CVT (transmission) from 5 year
Nissan quietly extended the warranty for the CVT (transmission) from 5 years/60,000 miles to 10 years/120,000 because of all the problems people are having, everything from shaking to accelerating at stop signs. Its a genuine safety concern. My wifes 2008 Nissan Rogue has the same problem. We took it in for service and they replaced the transmission. However, theyre charging us $2,700 for a new transfer case, a transfer case thats included in the original powertrain warranty that connects to the transmission. The mechanic at Nissan of Bourne in Massachusetts tried to tell me the problem started with the transfer case and not the transmission. I find this hard to believe since Nissan is obviously having issues with the transmission, or else they wouldnt have had to extend the original warranty. There is no reason why Nissan should be charging customers for their own substandard parts. To replace the transmission but not the transfer case which is part of the transmission, is flat-out dishonest. Now well have to spend money we dont have because Nissan wont live up to its own warranty on parts they know are bad. There shouldve been a recall in the first place for safety reasons, but Nissan is trying to mitigate their losses at the expense of their customers. This is not right and it should be addressed.

Dropped off my 2013 Nissan Versa for the CVT recall. After I left and got onto the 101 freeway my car went from 60 MPH to about 10 right in front of a Big Rig truck. We crawled toward the nearest exit and went back to the dealer. They said it needed a new transmission and would be 4000 dollars. At 51,000 my warranty was up since it had been a few months over 5 years. They said it was still driveable since I didnt have the cash to fork over so we left and almost got hit as the car stopped on La Brea and Fountain. As I was in extreme distress and by the grace of God we were able to pull into an urgent care lot and the ladies said we could park the car there until we got a tow truck. This was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me and now I am unable to go anywhere as I have no car. Nissan... SHAME ON YOU!!!

On May 1st 2015, my car would not start. I had to have it towed to a Nissan dealer. I found out it was a faulty steering column mechanism. This faulty part was recognized by Nissan and they extended the warranty. I filed a claim for reimbursement online and later received a call stating my claim would not be covered because it was out of the warranty time.....by 1 week!! This is Nissans problem because they knew the part was faulty. Online, I found a lot of unhappy people about this issue. That doesnt even include the people who wouldnt complain online.. I was hoping they would stand by their product, especially when they knew it was faulty.

****AVOID NISSAN.**** AVOID NISSAN.**** I hate writing about this, but I told them I would so I will. I bought a Nissan Versa about 5 years ago. I wish I had used Google and listened to my wife. If Id simply done a search I wouldve discovered a design flaw in the transmission from that period of vehicles. I thought, Hey, an import. Good on gas and reliable, right? ... Not this one. What I needed was a vehicle that will be good on gas, relatively comfortable and reliable. The car I had previously was a Toyota Echo. I drove it for 350,000 miles and sold it for $300. I never had any engine or transmission trouble at all. Being a design flaw problem, I asked Nissan for help twice. I got nothing. They said no for any help. I wouldve even gone for a 50/50 on their $3800 transmission. $1900 each? Cmon you multi-billion dollar automotive manufacturer!! The car has 164,000 miles on it and is now, an expensive paperweight.Knowing that I put about 2500 miles/month on my vehicles, you know that it is a good testing ground. No abuse, just many highway miles. It is in my professional opinion that Nissan ... sucks. I encourage everyone to avoid Nissan, not because I think all of their vehicles are crap, I dont, but because they DO NOT stand behind a product they KNOW is flawed from the beginning. Im off to listen to Deftones and look for another car now. (whispers) ... Nissan sucks.

I had to have my 2009 370Z towed to the dealership twice. The dealership did not know the cause and the car just started after some testing. They released the car not knowing if it would do it again. 1-2 weeks later, on a Monday morning, the car did not start after my appointment with a client. The dealership, after weeks of review, could not test out or get the car started. In the meantime, I am working with a gal at consumer affairs. I told her what happened, and a week she called back stating they are not accepting the claim as if it were an owner maintenance issue and 3 months out of warranty. As we found, it was an electrical something in the steering column locking the car down as if it were being stolen. This is certainly not an owner maintenance issue and the car was only at about 32,000 miles. This little bit of time did not affect the outcome and certainly not the mileage. The problem is Nissan did not want to stand behind a known problem in other vehicles with the similar theft deterrent systems, but also because of the cost of replacing the whole steering columns - $1,200 plus. Welcome to my first Nissan experience. I will not buy another.

Shame on Nissan! I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated. My steering lock control unit went out and even though there was a petition to get this part recalled I had to pay for the part. It was past the warranty, but I was told that if I took my car to a dealership, I would get a fair review of my case by Megan, the regional consumer affairs specialist, in hopes of warranty assistance. She denied my claim in part because my 2009 Altima had not been to a dealership since 2011, implying that I was not a loyal customer. Why would I take my car to a dealership if there isnt any repairs that need to be done on it? I have owned FIVE , Nissans and bought 1 brand new car and 1 used car from Suntrup, not to mention personal recommendations. I have paid Nissan upwards of $40,000. If that isnt customer loyalty I dont know what is. Complaints have filed with the BBB, FTC, and NHTSA.

When Speaking to Kaysha today, I could have sworn I speaking to a robot but human like. She kept repeating the same Nissan will not cover the repairs you need because your vehicle is out of warranty. In January of 2018, I replaced the turbocharger costing $5200 which included parts and labor. Nissan is really proud of their prices! At the time I was told it was determined that lack of maintenance was the problem. I was not aware that a Turbo Charger needed maintenance and furthermore, They have all the records of my oil changes since I bought the car in 2014 so that could not be the problem. Now, my timing belt broke, damaging the timing belt housing and causing other damage to more parts of the engine. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs to ask them to review the problem once again. They called me back today to let me know that they will not cover the repairs. Once again, I am left holding the bag. I still owe $12K on the car and the repairs will be upwards of $8K. I have been shysted once again. I will never buy another Nissan again. Two is all it takes for me to learn my lesson. I feel stupid for not recognizing their robotic crap before. I am disgusted with Nissan and they will never see me set foot in one of their dealerships again and oh by the way, now with social media running rampant, they should listen more carefully to the squeaky wheel! I wish nothing but the worst for this company!!! They lie and steal from their loyal customers!! And on top of everything, they still have the gall to ask for a rating! Unbelievable! I dropped off my car Monday, 8/1 Nissan Service Dept. for replacements & repairs that I waited for one month due to my front end collision car accident. I spoke Carrie Service Advisor, Tuesday, 8/2 and she was so nice saying everything is going to be done as we went over the repair list and I told her that I would like to speak to Mark the Tech when I come to pick up my car on Thursday, 8/4. She agreed. I went to the front service desk and asked to speak to Mark. Carrie comes instead with an attitude like what is it. She says he’s helping someone. I told her I would wait for him (My insurance company Hartford paid them to do the repairs and the extension repairs).I had to ask for alignment after they said everything was repaired. So only then did they notice the R/F camber and FRT Cross Camber was damage. Mark told me that he took it out for a ride and he thought it was ok instead of performing an alignment. Back to Carrie, she walked me out to my car and I asked her about the replacement on the driver seat belt which has too much slack and not enough tension. She said they replaced it but it turns out to have the very same problem as when I took it in to be exchanged. Carrie and I both sat in the driver seat and it wouldn’t lock. So Carrie gets a Tech and he sits in the seat and it doesnt work for him either. It wouldnt lock with even a rapid pull, and the new repair order said “new belt works fine” (I don’t think it was replaced – same problem). So the Tech says to me that the original manufacturer belt should never have locked, only the passenger side does for Child Seats (I couldn’t believe he said that to me. No one puts young toddler in passenger seat). Then the Tech says to me, “Believe me if you ever get in another accident the belt will work”. This statement to me is NOT ACCEPTABLE nor does it make me feel any BETTER. Why is it that the passenger seat locks and that was replaced the same time as the drivers seatbelt. So end result is that my seatbelt is no different than when I dropped the car off on Monday, 8/1 to be replaced as promised. I believe Nissan is putting my life in danger. I do not feel protected. The tech said to me that I need to get over the fear from my car accident.I explained to Carrie and the Tech that I don’t feel secure or safe without the seat locking. So Carrie says to me to call 1-800- Nissan. And Carrie and the Tech walked away from my car. As I began to drive off the parking lot with amazement, the Tech ran out with a flyer explaining Seat Belt Function Stationary Check. It reads: Grasp the shoulder webbing and pull forward quickly. The retractor should LOCK and prevent the belt from extending further. And this action new happened.I went home and I called another car dealership and they said it should lock at least when I bend forward. Can you please HELP me - is this a faulty seatbelt and I would just like to talk to the tech Mark who did the work on my car accident. I have some questions & concerns about my alignment. I was to get a 4 wheel full alignment and they did a Thrust Angle Alignment, is that partial or full alignment. I would like a print out of the alignment before and after to see the results. I need to know if my car frame is ok. I asked for copies of the paperwork that I signed and the person at the service desk wouldnt do it me. They gave me the GUEST COPY. I would like copies for my Insurance Records.

Purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima two months ago and had 85,000 miles on it when the CVT transmission went out. In hindsight if we had read more reviews we would not have purchased this vehicle due to the number of complaints about the transmission in this model! Only advanced warning we had was that the car seemed to shake and vibrate at lower RPMs and engine would race causing the tachometer to rev at higher speeds. This started about 75 to 100 miles prior to the car losing acceleration. Went from driving with the traffic on the interstate down to a limping top speed of about 25 miles an hour. Managed to get to a parking lot and ended up hauling it the last 70 miles home on a car carrier.Contacted the Nissans National Customer Support Center which was of little help. Hauled the car to a local transmission shop where the owner found the pan full of metal shavings and the transmission shot. Called 2 other transmission shops which both offered the salient advice of you should not buy a Nissan with a CVT transmission. We are now facing a $3,200 bill to replace the transmission. Unfortunately we also have to haul the car to a Nissan dealer to have the transmission programmed or flashed after it is installed. Nissan extended the warranty to 120,000 miles on earlier models but the 2013 only has the 60,000 mile warranty because of the new transmission. May be new but certainly not better!!

I purchased Nissan Murano from West Hills Nissan 2 years ago. Had no problem with them, treated me fairly, and I liked the car. Few weeks ago received a brochure from West Hills, offering me new car with lower monthly payment, so I went there, showed me Nissan Maxima and asking me $525 a month to lease. Told them it is expensive and they said ok. Few days later received a call from Kenny ** Nissan in Cranberry, PA and offering me a good deal. Told them the story about West Hills that I could not afford it, was told not to worry and they have many cars in their lot and I could get a deal. Called me few more times, so I agreed to go and see what kind of deal they got. I went with my son and we got there before noon. That was my biggest mistake to go there. 1st said $509 but I told them it is too high for me. I swear I tried to leave many times but they were keep asking me to wait to see what they can do for me. I was tired, my son was tired, but they didnt let us leave. It was late evening and we were still asked to stay. They had my Murano and because Murano was in excellent condition, they wanted to trade. By late evening the manager took me to Maxima in the showroom and reach out his hand to shake my hand and said he made mistake that $509 was for different color not for black one and asked me to shake his hand for $528 and he started shaking my hand. It is hard to believe but that is exactly what happened. They knew what type people we are, obviously not a smart one, who would pay $528 for Maxima for 3 years lease. They treated us like an idiot, took us to a room and said you have won something and asked us to pick a card from the board hanging on the wall to get our prize. He was one of the managers and congratulated us for winning the prize. He said you have to pay $35 or something similar to get an AAA insurance for road assistance. Told him I have road assistance included in my own Insurance. He got mad and for 10 minutes was pushing for me to sign up. Asked him about the car, said he does not know much about that car, that he was new, but still was asking for AAA to be added to my monthly lease payment. I had to force myself to leave that room. I asked almost everybody in there about some future in the car, they just wanted me to leave. They got their deal and I was not worth any more. I told them I had worth of $150 of dash cam accessories in the car that either let me take the car to outside shop to remove it or they have to do it for me. Was told to not worry they will remove it and I can come back to pick it up. The next day went back gave them the other key for Murano, but was told Murano was not there and they will call me. Waited 2 weeks and called the dealer was told they sold the Murano. I told the salesman that I am not happy and I am going to make a complaint, said he will call me back. 2 days later I called him myself said he talked to General Manager and they dont want unhappy customer so they offered 2 free oil changes. I just hung up on him. I dont know how many people were ripped off by these people, but its time to investigate their unhealthy business. I also contacted Nissan USA before make my case to public. I got a call from a very angry lady from NISSAN USA that kept telling I have to deal with the dealer.

I learned there is a recall on my transmission that went out 3 months after I purchased the car. Then they told me it was because I am out of the mile range. I have documentation when I was in mileage range of the replacement that there was nothing wrong but needed a flush. Went and got one and then they documented that it needed a new one.Their store told me call them. They should help me replace it. I called and they said Sorry you are over miles. Cant do anything? The worst possible customer service ever. I would never purchase another Nissan again. Horrible!!! Nissan is so great and backs their products up. Well I surely am not seen it. Very recently after driving for an hour when I get to a sign stop or an intersection, the car does not accelerate no matter how hard I hit the gas pedal. Cars behind me start honking, cussing, and I know that one of these days Im getting into an accident. Im waiting for the Consumer Affairs specialist to call me. I already took the car to an authorized Nissan service center and the mechanic confirmed its the CVT transmission. The car has 79k miles, no warranty and the extended warranty that Nissan offers does not include my VIN. I hope to get positive news from the specialist and Nissan will be paying for the repair cost or else I will have to file a lawsuit. Ive read so many complaints about this car and for Nissan to not take action, it is a shame, perhaps an accident, a lawsuit will make Nissan to take proper action to protect its customers.

Bought 4 years ago. Always maintained. Engines light comes on at 115k and it turns out that the CVT is to blame. Now Im discovering that its very common for these transmissions to only last 100k miles. Its super expensive to replace. After more research it seems to be more of a ($4k) consumable part instead of something you could trust to last for the life of the car. This would be okay, only if the repair cost wasnt going to effectively total the car. And totaled because no one wants to buy a car that is unreliable. The resale value is so low because of these problems? When called, Nissan offered no assistance and was very tight-lipped about this being anything but a rare occurrence. This is definitely a steep drop from the reliability standard I thought Nissan had. Never again?

I have owned a significant number of Nissan vehicles - 2 Maximas, 2 Pathfinders, 2 Infinitis - and after my recent experience, I will never purchase again. I have a 2017 Maxima in which I knew had a mechanical issue. At the time I made the appointment with local dealership to inspect, mileage was under 60,000 miles. After waiting 10 days for appointment, their assessment was that I need a new front left bearing hub - the challenge, after waiting for the appointment, the mileage was now 60,265 miles and the warranty ends at 60,000. Their suggestion was to discuss with Nissan Consumer Affairs. Nissan position after more than a week of conversations - We dont care that you are a life long customer and that we will lose your future business. We refuse to help you because you are 0.4% out of warranty, even though you had to wait 10 days for your appointment with one of our dealers. So charged close to $200 for the assessment on a part that should be covered under warranty and dealership looking for additional $300 for a repair in which I can purchase an official Nissan part online for $60. No help. No consideration. No further purchases from me on a brand that shows no appreciation for their customers.

Our experience so far has been unpleasant, unproductive and frustrating. We are especially unhappy by what appears to be less than a professional and courteous behavior, performed by Hernando ** at Royal Palm Nissan. It all started on September 17, 2011. My car was having some weird and loud noises coming from the engine. As a result, I took my car to its original dealer (Royal Palm Nissan). One of the customer service advisors (Not Hernando **) helped schedule an appointment for Monday because they were having more customers than expected, and I said that it was all right. So he created me an appointment for next Monday (09/19/11).I lost a day of work in order to bring my car for inspection. The car was fully inspected and the noise was temporary fixed. They told me that the car did not have any issues. After two days, the same noise came back from the engine. This was a very unpleasing thing to hear again. However, the problem did not end there. This Saturday, 9/24/11, we took the car back for inspection because the problem apparently was not fixed. This time, we were welcomed by Hernando **, not in a professional, social and friendly way. In 12 years of business, I have not seen such an unpleasant and unprofessional customer service. This is what Hernando ** said and I quote, Why dont you take your car and go to another dealer and dont come back and then he literally threw the paper (invoice) at us with an attitude because we simply asked him in a very friendly way to inspect our car. A simple task that was asked to Hernando ** to perform, which is part of his duties and assignments at Royal Palm Nissan. Not only was he disagreeable and unfriendly, but he also put Royal Palm Nissan as an unprincipled and frustrating place for customers.Right now, I am very - and I do mean very - upset at the way this has been handled. I should not have to be going through this. I know that I do have options of shopping elsewhere when purchasing a vehicle in the future, however, it bothers me to see that Nissan is not fulfilling the end of the services that we agreed on when I purchased my vehicle. I love my vehicle, but I can assure you that this has left a very bad taste in my mouth when either I and/or any of our family members get ready to purchase a vehicle in the future. All I ever wanted was for your company to hold its end of the service that we discussed when we purchased my car. Please contact me to discussed this before we proceed with this matter differently. With all due respect,Alexis **

I have received one statement in the 5 months I have now had the car. I have not received one email, correspondence, or phone call from these people. I was not late in January for a payment and they lied and reported to the credit bureaus that I never made a payment in January when I paid $465 on 1/10/13. And then on 2/1/13, I made another payment which was supposed to be on 1/31/13 and then 2 payments in February as well on 2/23/13. They suck as a car manufacturer and as a lien holder. There was a reason that I had never purchased a car from them after 10 years ago and now I know why. I had leased a car with them for 7 months and got rid of it and now, after 5 months, I am ready to get rid of this car too. The fact is that it is a piece of crap and so is the company. They suck and they need to fix their error on my credit report as because of their screw up, my credit score dropped 40 points and now I will lose the new home I am buying.

Let me start off by saying, I just came back from overseas, and I am now stationed in Fort Stewart, GA. I am looking into purchasing a brand new Nissan Altima. I searched online and made a few stops. I had stopped by your Hinesville store, and saw a car I wanted. I asked them to give me the write up, because I wanted to go through my own bank. A guy there, who said he was the manager, said he would get the pricing together, and give me a call back. I never got any calls, only one from someone named Julie, and she does not know what she is doing. She had no clue I was just waiting for the price. Then, the internet manager from there called me, and I told him that I just got a phone call from his co-worker, and I think no one really wants to sell me a car. On 10 November 11, someone ran my credit with out my permission. I told them up front if I were to purchase a car, I would not go through Nissan. I am not aware what the law is for that, but I am looking into that now. Next, your Savannah store call me (Steven **). He seemed up front, and seemed as if he wanted to really help me. I told him I live about an hour away, and I didnt want to go up there and go through what I did at Hinesville. So we stopped by, and I showed him the car I wanted, and told him all I need was the write up to send to my bank.He talked to his manager, and he came over to speak with me. I explained to him why I wanted to go through my own bank, and he was so rude and had such an attitude. I understand Nissan will make more money if we go through them, but what he wasnt trying to hear is that, I may not get approved through you guys. So Steven told me that his computer was not working, but he would email me the write up, so I can send it to my bank. I got an email Saturday saying, he can send it to me, but we would have to come back. I dont understand why the manager just couldnt give it to us right then and there. I dont live right up the corner, to drive over there, to pick it up. This service is so unprofessional and I dont understand why I have to be treated like this. Is it because I am a woman? Your Hinesville store made me sit there for over an hour, while I watched him help other men. In the mean time, I had 2 infants, and my sister-in-law waiting in the car, right in their face. I have been out of the states for a long time, but I know that this kind of service is not acceptable. Here I am, a woman fighting for someones freedom, who doesnt even have the respect to help me. I am serious about buying a car and they are not serious about selling.I did not allow anyone to run my credit. I told them more than once, I would not go through Nissan. I will be looking into consequences for something like this. I feel like I was discriminated for being a woman. I also feel like someone blew me off, because I didnt want to finance through Nissan.

I just bought a Nissan on April 13th and wanted to inquire about the payoff amount. NMAC informed me that my contract (i.e., purchase date of the vehicle) was March 29th. NMAC then informed me that I have been accruing interest on a vehicle I did not own for two weeks racking up nearly $200 in interest for this timeframe. I was told to contact the dealer to adjust this. Dealer told me to go ** myself speaking with the financing manager. I tried contacting the general manager only to be blown off. Sales manager has been negligent as well. Nissans objective is to sell a vehicle then screw the customer. If I had known this, I would have never bought a Nissan. Now, I am told I am SOL by both the dealer and NMAC. This is flat out fraud. In this economy, customer service is more important than ever. I wonder why Hyundai, a once inferior product, is gaining traction where Nissan is losing traction and value. Nissan and NMAC are prime contributors. We were looking at replacement for the wifes old Mazda and was thinking an Altima. There was no way in ** Id buy another Nissan now.

I have only had my car since January. Took me till April to get it running. Now its broken down in my yard and I cant use it. Nissan needs to do recalls because my electrical is screwed, oil is everywhere and the car stalls and dies or wont start so much I want to scream... Anyone need a parts car in NH. Put 1500 into the car but cant continue to do it. Its an awesome car when it runs and just when you think it wont stall it does in the middle of a rotary on a main strip.

Ive had a 2016 Nissan Titan XD for the almost a year now and have enjoyed the truck, however, I was recently in an accident and was in need for parts. I have been waiting on parts for over 2 months now with no promise of getting my part any time soon. Upon talking to Nissan I got some rehearsed spiel about the backorder and was given no information on where the part is, why its been backordered over 2 months or when I would get it. I have been paying rental car fees for the last month out of pocket because the insurance coverage of a rental expired so everyday Im out more money because they cant produce the part I need. Ive driven a Nissan for the last 20 years and have been satisfied until this problem arose. Not being able to get the necessary parts makes me not that interested in driving Nissans if Im going to have to deal with this kind of issue anytime, God forbid, I would be in a wreck or some other problem comes up. So if youre thinking of buying a Nissan just beware that this issue could also become your issue.

My transmission went out at 5 years old and 74000 miles on my Nissan Murano
My transmission went out at 5 years old and 74000 miles on my Nissan Murano. There were absolutely no positive comments about Nissan the corporation. After receiving the horrible news. The reason my vehicle felt like it was in neutral all the time was because the transmission was out. Patterson quoted me $5200. I called a local transmission shop and they said they would do the job for $4300. I asked Patterson about it and they said they would match the other shops price... WOW. Then I said, Well I may have definitely not had $5200 but I still dont have $4300 so I decided to call Nissan the corporation. Still within the years warranty but not the mileage warranty. They did not have to do anything. I went through the process of the phone answering service. Talked to one person then to another. The lady said on a Wednesday that she had 3 days to get back to me with an answer. All this time the dealership had our vehicle and had not been authorized to do the work. I felt like if I made it look like I could afford it by authorizing the work to be done that it would be a no brainer and they would not feel the need to help me out. Soooo all in all my vehicle had been at the dealership for one week now... The corporate lady calls and tells me that Nissan would pay for half of the repairs. Well that was not the whole repair but I felt grateful that I didnt have to come up with 4k. And plus I had already negotiated their repair shop down $900. Every little bit helps. I could not find anyone else who had the same circumstances that I did. Well I thought I would write this review because of how Nissan took care of me and so maybe someone else would find some courage to call and see if they would help their case. Nissan transmissions have had a rough path here over the past 10 years although I did not know that when I bought one nor all the way up till I had problems with mine. Once I authorized the $2150 which was my part then it took them 3 days and I had my vehicle back. Also I had already made up my mind that no matter what decision they came up with I was going to be nice and say thank you. Even though it wasnt the full amount I said, Thank you maam I appreciate it so much. I think she was totally thrown back and said, You know what let me give you my direct numbers and you can call me any time with an issue on your nissan vehicle... well there you go its pretty much against my nature to be nice when Im upset but hey Gods in control anyway right??

Leased new Infiniti QX70 in 2017. Never missed a payment, or late. Reported as 30-day late to credit bureau 2 months before lease ended because the local sales tax had changed from 6% to 7%, and even though I made the payment, I was $5.38 short. Never knew the rate changed! I am paperless, and make automatic payments. Why would I imagine that my payment would change when I entered into a contract for a specified amount for 36 months? I have leased/owned 4 Infiniti vehicles (QX4, G35, EX35, and QX70) for more than 25 years, and only now have I ever had any issues. Their answer: TOO BAD. My response: Never will I lease/buy another Nissan or Infiniti. And will steer any I know away.

I purchased a pre-owned 2012 Nissan Rogue with 25,000 miles January 2013. I have regular scheduled maintenance performed and take pride in the care of my vehicle. This past weekend, 5-14, I had planned a visit to Sarasota to my daughters house but had to replace my alternator and it took a few days to receive the part in so I postponed my trip until the following weekend. I had made it almost to Tampa from Atlanta and I noticed my car was losing power. I could not get it to go over 65 miles per hour. It was also whining. I called the shop that replaced alternator and described what I was experiencing. The mechanic suggest I get off the Interstate and have the computer hooked up to see if it was reading any codes and if not, to get to a Nissan dealership, which I did in Wesley Chapel, FL. After two hours, I was told by my service advisor Naco that he had good news and bad news. The good news was it wasnt going to cost me a penny and the bad news was my transmission had gone out. The car had 61,000 miles on it. I had just turned over the warranty period on my way to Florida. I was traveling alone and 9 hours from my home. I was already upset and nervous as I had just spent $600 on a new alternator before I left. He told me not to cry that it wasnt costing me anything. They were going to put me in another Rogue and send me on my way to visit my daughter and my car would be repaired when I headed back to Atlanta on Monday. My car was loaded with stuff for my daughters new house and he told me that he would get some of his guys to help unload my car and load the loaner. Nissan was replacing my transmission. When I asked why, I was told that they had some problems with that year and model transmissions. The service manager, Joey, was very comforting and couldnt understand why I was still crying (overwhelming)!!!! In about an hour later, as I was getting ready to leave, Naco came to me and said Sorry, Nissan isnt going to pay for transmission because I was 1000 miles over warranty. The loaner now became a rental. He said I was looking at $3600 to replace the transmission. I told him I didnt have $3600 to replace transmission and I shouldnt be replacing the transmission with only the mileage I had on the car.Who does that? Who tells you Nissan is paying and an hour later, tells you they dropped me. Never once was I told I should call Consumer Affairs but he and his staff were making calls on my behalf. Again, I became upset and was in total shock. When I asked why they dropped me, he said that I was out of warranty! 1000 miles and 1/2 of those were on this trip! After verifying that I maintained my vehicle (they called the service center and had my records sent to them), they came back and said I didnt service my car at a Nissan dealership so there was nothing they could do???????? I was in total shock! After another two hours, the service manager offered me a wholesale price of $2850. Still in disbelief, I told them I would have to make some calls to my family for help that I didnt have the money. After leaving in the rental car, I called the dealership where my car was purchased and was told by that service manager that I needed to be calling consumer affairs and open a case number to review my case for assistance. So I did, only to be denied any assistance at all. When I asked to take case a step further, I was told it would be 24-48 hours before anyone would call me back. I begged her (Keona) to forego the 24 to 48 hour period as I am stranded on the side of the road 9 hours from my home. All this to no avail!!! My whole visit to my daughters house was stressful as I was concerned how I was getting home. To be told Nissan was taking care of me and then Sorry, we are not!!! Again, who does that?

The 2008 Nissan Rogue is only 2 years old and the battery went bad leaving me stranded. I was told that the battery is only warrantied for 1 year. Really only 1 year? I had to pay $132.00 at a Sears store to have a new battery installed, but this battery is warrantied for 6 years. I bought a brand new car so I wouldnt have these problems. I bought a 2008 Nissan Rogue brand new on Christmas Eve of 2007. The transmission went out on the car in July of 2010, at 100,000. I was almost hit and killed by an 18-wheeler. Nissan claims the transmission fell apart and after several months, said they would replace it at no cost. In February of 2012, my Rogue began to show the same signs of failure that the first one did and I took it to the dealership once again to have it inspected. Approximately 8 days later, the service department informed me that the transmission would in fact need to be replaced again with only 66,000 miles on it. I phoned Consumer Affairs and they have been no help! I have written Mr. Carlos Ghosn a certified letter and he has been no help! Why won’t Nissan just admit my car is defective and make an attempt to remedy the situation?

On March 12, 2012, I went to pickup my newly leased Nissan and found out that the plates on the lease car I was turning in could not be transferred to the new car because the registration had been canceled on 12/30/11 without my knowledge or permission. I had to pay for new plates. I called Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp (NMAC) and was told they knew nothing about my registration being canceled nor did my insurance company. After contacting RMV several times, I found out that my registration had been canceled online. They also told me that my plates had been returned. However, my plates were still on my car when I went to the dealership on March 12. How could they have been returned? I have also continued to pay my lease note and insurance on the car during the past three months without any knowledge of registration cancellation. I spoke with the assistant registrar of RMV in Massachusetts today, 3/15/12, and she told me that the IT department at RMV found that it had been canceled via email by a Loida ** from the Tax and Registration Department at NMAC on 12/30/11. This morning I called NMAC and they told me they now have a note regarding my cancellation that was posted on March 13th. However, they previously had no record and knew nothing about the cancellation and told me they have nothing to do with cancellation and to call the RMV. Now, the story has changed. I drove around for three months with a registration certificate in my car, which I didnt even know was invalid or cancelled. What if I had been in a serious accident? I am also required to pay excise taxes in Massachusetts. I received a letter from Nissan in December that they would be including it in my lease bill in the upcoming months as they usually do. I contacted the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts on 3/12/12 and found that they had not received notification to send Nissan a bill from the RMV, which indicated that something occurred like my registration being canceled. Now, I am afraid that this would happen anytime and frequently. I would then have to pay for new registration, new plates and explain and prove to RMV that it’s not me and why its being canceled. This is a major problem for me. I have contacted the governors office, Attorney General, RMV and Nissan looking for help. I need assistance.

Nissan Rouge - Steering wheel vibration that started 7 months after purchase. The steering wheel vibration has gone from mild to moderate/heavy in the last month. Changing to sport mode or turning off the overdrive helps a lot, and even sometimes stops the vibration for a while even after returning to the default driving mode. The vibration can be felt most of the time while accelerating but is worse at and above 35 mph while maintaining a steady speed. However I have noted the vibration to be moderate/heavy at all speeds. At times when driving a distance, the vibration will actually make your hands go numb and can also be felt in the gas pedal. My other concern is on two separate occasions while accelerating to enter the interstate while in sport mode, the vehicle hung in a lower gear until the RPM was extremely high and when I let off the gas it was almost like putting the brakes on as the vehicle slowed to the speed of the gear its stuck in, creating a very dangerous situation in traffic. Nissan refuses to acknowledge the problem and service people say They all do that.

Well here goes. Nissan car/van owners beware. Their customer service and warranty is horrendous. And without a doubt they have an issue with the engines, same recall as Toyota but instead of calling it a recall they are simply finding an excuse to revoke your warranty and make you pay for the new engine. We’ve owned nothing but Nissans since 1996. Our 2 year old passenger van with 56k Miles started burning oil. No engine warning light came on, no low oil warning light, nothing. We brought it to the dealership three times for oil level tests, then they took the van last Monday to do more tests. They don’t pay for a rental, don’t give you a comparable rental so I’m in a 5 passenger car. They then tell us it needs a $12,000 new engine and warranty was revoked because we are missing one receipt. I’ve spoken to at least 9 people at Nissan Corporate. No one can do anything because Nissan Warranty is not “customer facing.” Their decision is final. So, our van will get its new engine. We’ll suck up the cost then trade it in for something new. NOT NISSAN.

I have been a loyal Nissan owner/leaser for almost 20 years - I have literally had 9 Nissans, and have always been happy with their performance. I was 2 years into my current Pathfinder lease, and my financial situation changed dramatically due to a divorce and job loss. My income went down to a third of what it was, and the monthly payment was just too much. I understand that many people have financial hardships, but as an extremely loyal Nissan customer who NEVER missed a payment and has excellent credit, I thought that Nissan would work with me on an early termination fee reduction. Three weeks and numerous phone calls later, I was literally told by a Customer Service supervisor that while she had the power to make an adjustment, she simply couldnt break their policy. Losing my business after 20 years was apparently worth the $1800 early termination fee, or actually less than that, as I was willing to pay something on a credit card to leave this lease, and then lease a less expensive Nissan that fit my budget. I worked with Hyundai, and they gave me more than $1000 more than my Nissan dealership was willing to give me for my Pathfinder. I unfortunately have the same payment on my new vehicle, but I own instead of leasing, and I will save $100 a month on gas. At least its something... but Nissan has lost me as a customer forever.

I explained that I did not want to speak to them again after numerous tries. I was still transferred. I waited on hold so long I finally hung up. Terrible service!!

At 113,000 needed new transmission. After 18,000 heard same high whining noise after driving for 30 minutes. Said was transmission - gave me a new one. Its been 5,000 miles - same thing - and now say I need a transmission cooler kit which isnt covered under my transmission warranty. Will cost $1800. My question is how come when I got 2 new transmissions, the noise went away. If this was the original noise, how come it goes away after new transmission? The dealer and corp cant answer that. I believe wrong diagnosis and it is the transmission. I wont add $1800 to a used car without knowing thats the problem for sure. It may be the problem. Like I said every time I got a new transmission, it never made any noise. Only later after certain miles put on it. I will never buy a Nissan again and my family who owns will not either.

I recently discovered that my 2015 Nissan Altima payment is somehow behind
I recently discovered that my 2015 Nissan Altima payment is somehow behind on payments starting in March of 2016. The reason this is a problem is I was never notified that I was behind and have been paying my monthly payments on time only to find out that it has not been on time in 5 months. This is also surprising due to the facts that I tried to make a double payment at one time only to receive a recorded phone call from a Nissan rep stating that they see that I was trying to stay ahead and pay on time but you cannot pay a month in advance. That a payment must be made every thirty (30) days at which time I should have been notified that I was a month behind which was definitely not the case. I also never received a phone call nor a letter in the mail stating any indication that I was behind on payments. We are now in August of 2016 and I am now have 5 months of late payments on my record that will no doubt kill my credit score. I recently set up a direct deposit at Pyramid Federal Credit Union to have the payments pulled straight from my account. So I have been back and forth with customer service which is more like we dont care about you at all service as the rep admitted that you dont have to be smart to do customer service which is funny because that is exactly what he is and definitely was not talented nor good at his job.Anyway after writing several letters and tons of phone calls where they hang up on you I have got nowhere. They have not even asked one time if they could look into the matter and get back, let me see what I can do, nothing. I simply want to know why I was never notified, a letter sent, an email or a phone call and now that I am aware that I am getting burned every month I have pleaded with them for some kind of reconciliation. I have offered to make multiple payments in a row along with the direct deposit payment along with the payment history that shows every payment on time. But in the end I guess it really does not matter to them as I am nobody of importance and apparently they dont make mistakes despite the hundreds of bad reviews. My next step is the BBB and on and on as this is unbelievable and can imagine I am not the first this has happen to and definitely not the last. Keep up the good work Nissan!!!

Faulty issues with new Kicks. I have been purchasing Nissan since 1985. This was to be my very first lease ever. I wanted 2018 model. Universal City was the closest and had several cars. I got my Kicks SR. The model I test drove had 80 mls on it and was filthy. I asked the rep if this was a floor model. He avoided the question and said it will be cleaned up. Enamored I went ahead with the purchase. The salesman let me inspect the car in the garage. It seemed to have been cleaned, but when I came home I noticed not only it was dirty but had scuff marks on it, the back light was scratched and missing a flashlight in the tool kit.I cleaned the car myself in my garage. Since it was a lease I became leery and wrote a letter to the manager Steve ** and was completely ignored, zero reply. 3 days later I got a warning flashing on the car UNAVAILABLE FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTION. Same happened again next day. So I took it to dealer. While the car was being inspected, I went to see Steve the manager, who did not appear, was busy. Sia, an assistant manager came to see me. I told him of my dirty car, he said he will detail it and look into missing tool. The next day my car was returned. The explanation on warning was the front sensor was dirty. Scuffs and scratches were gone.. No answer on missing tool. Again, the only reason I am wary because this is a lease, has to be returned and I dont want to be responsible for missing tool. Still I was happy, satisfied. However the warning sign came back. I work, so had to bring the car a couple of days later. This time they kept the car for 5 days to replace the sensor. I asked to be compensated, like a tank of gas, they declined. The service manager finally told me that the car doesnt come with a flashlight. The spot is made for other models that do? Although it doesnt make sense, this is the highest model of Kicks, I am leaving that alone. Once more I said perhaps this is the end. To no avail. Now my dashboard is buzzing, as if I am driving a clunker. Cannot hear music. So today, back to service. I am completely disappointed and have zero confidence in Nissan. I will have no choice but to consult an attorney if anything else happens. Unfortunately only now I begun reading reviews on Nissans and see that there are many complaints on sensors, transmissions and audio systems. Yet I love my car. I am heartbroken.

I purchased a New 2016 Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it on December 13, 2017
I purchased a New 2016 Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it on December 13, 2017 from Clay Cooley Nissan in Irving Tx, 3-4 months into the purchase I start having an issue. While driving the O/D light comes on by itself, the RPMs rise, the car revs high and drives rough. I have read it is a possible transmission or computer problem. I have taken the car to the original dealership of purchase and another one to get checked out. They both claim they have driven the car, hooked it up to their machines and dont see the error. But as soon as I get the car back the issue repeats itself. They told me I need to bring the car to them when it happens which is hard because it happens at random on my way to work, school, and other daily activities. The dealerships are either too far to make it or outside of normal business hours.I complained and reached the sales manager J **. He prompted me to come down and they would trade me out of the vehicle into a new one and keep my payments the same! A complete LIE, I get there and they pump me up, “This is going to be painless. We will get you in & out,” and start asking me for a money for a down payment and try and put me in an Altima which is not what I purchased originally. After getting upset, I leave in the same messed up car. NO HELP. Just a full tank of gas and one of the managers says, “Well the car still drives so just keep driving it and when the error happens switch the gear. Itll go off.” So he wants me to pay for a car that is clearly giving me trouble and just drive it and jerk it around and keep rolling! Then says drop it off at service when I just picked the car up. How many times do I have to leave the car and be without a car to drive? I am disgusted and disappointed by the service I have received. This was my first time treating myself to a NEW car and it was a complete mistake. I hate Nissan. The car still has the issue, nothing resolved.

Nissan is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned and just recently bought another one like it because I loved the first one so much. It is a Nissan king cab with lots of room. I got it for a fairly decent price and I was lucky to find it. It was just sitting on the lot and it took some haggling to get the dealer to come down where I could afford it. It has everything I need. It could use more technology but that would be distracting. It is a great little truck and will be for a while.

My wife just had an accident today, 31 Jan 2012. It was a front end collision with her 2003 Nissan Sentra. She rear ended someone when she was driving 50 mph in a 55 mph zone. The braked car moved 75ft before colliding the driver side front end into the truck in front of her. The truck received little damage; however, her Nissan was crushed in the entire drivers side front half. The airbag did not deploy, and she stated the wheels would not turn to avoid the truck in front when she was braking. I took pictures and a video of the car and the entire scene. The police officer stated it was strange the air bag did not deploy, it should have. We just had her car serviced at the local Nissan dealership a couple months prior. I am wondering why the wheels locked when braking and why the airbag did not deploy. The car is totaled.

They extended my loan as I stayed out of a job for the past 3 months and now, according to them, the pandemic is over and I should have a source of income by now and make my payments. The Nissan van I have purchased is having problems with its digital dash board (distance, gas, hot/cold readout). I live in Washington, D.C. My vehicle will not pass inspection if they cannot see the mileage on my vehicle. Through discussing this problem with the vehicle inspectors in Washington, D.C. area, they have informed me that most Nissan made cars are experiencing this similar problem. I have also found other Nissan owners who are experiencing the same problems. I feel as though, since this is an important issue and it seems to be a common issue, that Nissan should fix this problem with either no or minimal charge.

I submitted an earlier complaint and the complaint was closed after three messages left when my phone number provided was not working (because my home phone works off the internet). My internet was down for a couple of days and towers were not working properly in my area to allow signal to my home. After this was explained, left on numerous and countless messages, emails and voicemails with Mrs. ** with Nissan Consumer Affairs who was handling the case at the time. I received absolutely no response from Mrs. ** and her reply was she no longer handles Nissan consumer vehicle complaints. I spoke with them very respectfully and explained; I will be resubmitting a complaint due to lack of multiple communication issues in not receiving a call back or response from said date 5/7/2015 up to 5/18/2015 regarding the various issues and in the handling of previous Case # **, and how quickly it was closed. The vehicle safety concerns and issues are my number one priority and should be Nissans as well. Mrs. ** responded that will be fine and maybe we can handle it appropriately, readdress issues and concerns, with proper documentation. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RE-SUBMIT COMPLAINT DUE TO ERROR MESSAGE FROM NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIR REPLYING MY NAME IS WRONG AND REJECT MY EMAIL NOW which reads Access Denied. You dont have permission to access http://www.nissanusa.com/apps/contactus on this server. Reference **I have tried to resubmit the complaint numerous times once again and it is unaccepted. I felt Nissan was not able to make an appropriate assessment and determination based on lack of information theyd received and lack of communication in handling of this matter by the person Nissan assigned to this complaint. New issues have since arise. I am trying to resubmit another complaint too and maybe this time with my personal office number being provided will avoid lack of communication and we can fully address the safety issues I am presently having and been having with this vehicle, 2012 Nissan Versa since purchase date at CarMax in White Marsh. The brake pedal is now fluttering and the seat belt just locks for no reason while driving. My vehicle has been parked and I am driving another family vehicle. In addition to this complaint, I am contacting you because I have been experiencing and have been experiencing serious safety problems with 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan make and model. Although, I realize Nissan makes some of the greatest vehicles. The 2012 Nissan Versa I purchased I noticed has very serious safety issues that began the day I purchased this vehicle at Carmax, White Marsh, MD lot. After pleading with Carmax to take this vehicle back for a year and 1/2 they would not allow me to give the vehicle back to them the day I purchased it. The problems with the vehicle upon purchase of the vehicle were brakes did not work properly at all. Carmax attempted to fix brakes 3-4 times, pedal would not work and often get stuck, defrost does work and takes a very long time and during rainy conditions it doesnt work at all forcing me to roll down windows to clear them, noise coming from around side view mirrors, freezing of both side view rear mirrors during winter and freezes during driving in cold conditions, vehicle is unable to sustain any type of wind or rain conditions and Ive literally shifted into another lane numerous times while driving on the highway, over a bridge, and even on the street, if a truck or someone passes me at high speed 65-75 I easily shift out of lane-position.Paint job was very poor-scratched terribly, body is very weak and fragile, no matter what hits my vehicle a pebble cracked the glass, a slight hit will hugely dent the vehicle and has, rear window in the passenger rear side will not go up and down properly at all. I have submitted endless complaints regarding my vehicle and I am very dissatisfied with this make and model; believe I may own a defective model because there are too many issues with my vehicle. I dont know what happen with this vehicle but the safety issues I experience regularly really concern me and the family I have ride with me. Please let me know what you can do to address these serious concerns. After two years of battling with Carmax Corporate Office for a year 1/2 to take this vehicle back; I am now contacting the manufacturers of this vehicle. The vehicle I purchased is not safe and has not been since the day I purchased it. I have been in 3 different accidents. The first week after complaints were made and I purchased it I was unable to properly brake and ran into the back of the vehicle a week into owning it after reporting the brakes were not properly working. I pulled into a parked car and could not maneuver appropriately into a parking lot and hit a parked car as the pedal locked on me and brake would not work properly. There are multiple dings, hits, scratches, dents because vehicle was not properly painted. A two year vehicle looks like I owned it 20 years. My concerns and safety issues are not being taken seriously and believe if Carmax would have notified you of this something would have been done a lot sooner to address these issues instead of being taken advantage of during purchase of this vehicle. My younger children nor my husband wish to get into my vehicle because the serious safety concerns they have and also experienced with me while riding with me in 2012 Nissan Versa. I think Nissan makes excellent cars. Just this one has multiple defects. Please contact me with ideas or a solution you may have to fully address these issues. I look forward to trying to resolve these issues. Thank you for your time and attention to this complex and serious matter. In kind I have been patience, respectful only to be met with NO RESPONSE and NOW UNABLE TO RESUBMIT COMPLAINT FOR PROPER HANDLING!

My dad bought me my first car back in 2016. It was a pre-owned 2012 Versa straight from the dealership with about 60K miles. For the first two years it was great. In fact the best thing this car can offer is the fuel economy. But would I recommend it? NO. The car is extremely light, the doors sound like cheap hollow metal, doesnt even come with sun visor mirrors for Petes sake. You WILL feel unsafe in this car. Fast forward to 90K miles and the car started showing problems accelerating, the air conditioning would blow hot air EVERY 3-4 months (have gotten it fixed about 5 times now). Now that Im on about 103K miles the front dash starts violently rattling when parked, and the worst part, I cannot go faster than 60MPH without the car wobbling side to side and feeling as if the wheels are going to pop off. Since as long as I can remember getting the car it has always has the check engine light on AND the tire pressure light (despite inspecting, rotating and replacing tires, it just comes back on) and the check engine does go away after a service and then lights up immediately after. So, Nissan, IS THERE A RECALL OR WHAT! There have been lawsuits and a class action settlement open for CVT transmission problems, yet when I went TODAY to the dealership they said they dont have an open recall and I would have to pay it all out of pocket then handle it with the company for reimbursement or possibly an offer to get the car back. How about no? I will not be paying $5,000 to then SEE if Nissan will deal with the issue. The car isnt even worth 5 grand!!!

Well the issue has been fixed. It cost me $3000 for the co-pay which Nissan thought was a great deal because my vehicle had over 100,000 miles. The rest was covered by Nissan under what they call good will. Not really happy with the deal but have to take what you can get I guess. 1st I want everyone to join me in my complaint to the Federal Trade Commission for every call they get they will take down Nissan for selling cars knowingly that have malfunctions! Im writing regarding a vehicle (VIN#3N1CN7AP6FL844173) I purchased new from Landers McLardy Nissan in Bentonville Arkansas on 9/01/2014. The next day I drove the vehicle to Russellville AR so the insurance company could take pictures. On my way I noticed that my car returned very poor gas mileage around 29 miles per gallon (mpg) at 70 miles per hour and that the air conditioner bogged the engine down. Curiously, the instrument cluster reflected 41mpg. I also realized my car was very seriously out of alignment and that my Bluetooth feature was useless. While using the Bluetooth at highway speeds I could hear people but they could not hear me. When the car was parked the Bluetooth feature functioned poorly but did work. The next day I took my car to Landers where they found the car to be out of alignment and several technicians hooked their phone to my car and all reported the Bluetooth feature functioning properly. The service department inquired about my cell phone which was an LG G3 though Sprint. I was informed that my cell service was the problem. (See service notes) This is one of many very disappointing visits to Landers because in the base Nissan Versa, which has a nonadjustable Bluetooth microphone--Nissan is fully aware the Bluetooth is nonfunctional. One of Landers technicians was aware my front struts were installed improperly from the factory but didnt mention it to anyone. I kept returning to Landers because my car still pulled to the right and jerked to the left under acceleration and my Bluetooth Feature still did not function but my phone worked fine in other cars. At one point the car jerked so hard to the right I over corrected and did a 360 on I49 and that resulted in my bumper cover being scratched up. I finally spoke with the manager of service department who had a tech ride with me and he informed me that my car pulling to the right was just a hard constant drift and my Bluetooth would not work until I switched cell carriers. They then put my car on the alignment rack and told me it was in perfect alignment and the Bluetooth issue was my problem.Although, I constantly brought up the fact that 10 gallons of gas which filled my tank up would take me from 250 miles to a max of 325 miles my instrument cluster reflected 40mpgs- this issue was never addressed. The manager told me he could not fix something that is not broken. I then received a survey from Nissan Motor Company and informed them of my cars constant drift, inaccurate instrument cluster, and nonfunctional Bluetooth. The next day Landers had called me various times. The service department, Marilyn ** (customer service manager) and my Salesperson all wanting me to bring my car in. First I met with my salesperson who asked why I didnt go to him with my problems and I informed him that he had saw me and spoke with me several times while waiting on the car and knew I was trying to have my new 2015 Versa fixed. He informed me that my survey cost him and Marilyn a lot of commissions and that Landers had to pay my finance company just to do my loan. I realized right then I had been the victim of a kickback loan. Next I went to visit Marilyn ** who told me from the first time I brought my car in a technician had noticed my front end was assembled wrong in the factory. How she found this information out so quickly was beyond me unless Nissan was trying to wait till further down the road to fix the problem to avoid hurting reliability ratings. I have a coworker who purchased a new SUV from Nissan (a hospice nurse who was working) and the vehicle just went off and Nissan accused her of running her car out of gas and then kept the car for 8 weeks. Marilyn went on to say the service department was disorganized and had a lot of miscommunications and that no one had drove my car to check the Bluetooth but had just sat in the car. I informed Marilyn I had broken my contact with Sprint and went to AT&T and my Bluetooth still did not work. My car was so severely out of alignment I had lost control and expected them to pay My Early termination fees to Sprint, Replace my LG phone, and fix my bumper cover. To this she replied the service department will not take responsibility for any of these things. I even had internet installed at my home due to using over 100GBs of data per month. All of my Sprint talk, text, and data was unlimited for $60 Dollars/month. With AT&T its $40 for the line and $40 for 3GBs of data and $39 per month for internet service. She let me know that my car would be fixed and that was the most important thing to me. They replaced the left front strut and Im not sure what else. The car was still not in alignment and the instrument cluster was never addressed and the Bluetooth feature did not work. I work for home health and hospice and declining a call is not an option for me. They later talked me into trying to trade my car for another Nissan but lowballed me on the trade difference and the finance company wanted me to keep my car for 1 year. I knew it was wrong to trade my car because it was obviously a lemon but was desperate to get out of it because between the car being out of alignment and not having hands free calling and previously losing control I felt unsafe in the car. After that the service manager took the car and kept it over a week and could not find a problem with the alignment but ordered another microphone for the Bluetooth. I assumed he would have read previous notes on what had been done to the car but did not. I took the car back and wrote Nissan Motor Corp a certified letter giving them one last chance to fix the car. They sent up a tech from Dallas and he and Marilyn rode with me and he called my car pulling to the left under acceleration torque steer and pulling to the right curvature of the road which is a term Landers loved to use. We made various calls on my cell phone which everyone could not hear us then Marilyn wanted to call Landers which I insisted she not but she did anyway and she spoke with the lady who she shares office space with and of course she could hear us fine because she had her volume turned to the max at the office and this was preplanned and very deceitful and pathetic. Someone else called and were unable to hear Marilyn. When we got back the cooperate tech who argued the car was fine found the car to be out of alignment and fixed that and addressed the Bluetooth by allowing me to drive the same car only with a continuously variable transmission (my car is a stick) and at 70mph the Bluetooth feature did not work. However, I noted that the RPMs in that car were very low allowing the car to achieve good gas mileage were as my five speed would have the rpms at 4000. The car was still out of alignment and Nissan Motor Company wanted to pay me $1500 for my inconveniences but when I received the letter it was a settlement offer for the alignment and Bluetooth. They also expected me to keep the car in that condition. I will write letters to the Federal Trade Commission, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety until these cars are recalled. Because Nissan is fully aware that the Bluetooth is not functional and the manual transmission equipped cars in no way achieve the mpg as promised and this torque steer would lead to many head on collisions for a driver who is medically impaired. Texting, talking and driving has proved fatal time and time again let alone a car that pulls into oncoming traffic. My last visit to Landers I tried to obtain my service records with diagrams of the alignments and was invited to leave because I admitted I was going to seek legal counsel. I also needed an oil change and my car was out of alignment so eventually I took the car to another Nissan dealership who found the car out of alignment and performed yet another alignment which the car still pulls. I have received stupid surveys from Nissan Consumer Relations asking what I expect them to do. I want them and Landers to be honest. I will be filing Freedom of Information Request with Nissan and Landers concerning other complaints, recalls, and kickback loans. The money Landers has cost me is expected now. The money Nissan offered and then sent a settlement letter is viciously ridiculous. Im not sure what legal recourse to take with them but they have made me a firm believer of staying away from any future Nissan product. Please advise me of who else to contact concerning the immoral car company!

I have a 2009 Nissan Altima. The car will not go. I almost got hit twice. I took the car to Nissan and had a diagnostic test done for 120.00 dollars for them to tell me there is nothing wrong with my car but when I took it to Kia they did one... They came up with the step motor (778) code. I took it back to Nissan and they said they never heard of that code. They reset my car and drove it, and they said it was fine, but when I drove my car home, check engine light came back on and once again got stuck on a hill. The car would not go and almost got hit again.Nissan does not want to fix this problem or recall this vehicle that they said cant fix if they cant find the problem. Im writing this review to inform others of this problem and to put on record Im getting an attorney to file a class action lawsuit, and to let Nissan know when I end up in a accident and hurt or dead they will have a big lawsuit on their hands. Its going to take for someone to die for Nissan to recall these vehicles and that is sad. I will never buy another Nissan vehicle. I will keep everyone informed on what an attorney has to say so you can get in on this lawsuit. Nissan dont want to take care of this problem. I will.

We purchased a Nissan Titan in MD and then moved 3 months later to Nevada. I landed a job that needed me to have tags title and insurance through Nevada immediately, otherwise, I could not work for them. I had to contact Nissan for a temporary lien release to transfer my name and my mother-in-laws name to a Nevada title and have NMAC put right back on as the lien holder. All they had to do was fax it to me, giving DMV in LV, Nevada permission to transfer that information to a new title for this state so I could go back to work and survive. I now have missed 2 weeks because they have to have all these supposedly different departments approve it, but I am on the loan and my payments are made, and now, they send me a paper that will not do and say I have to wait another 2 weeks to a month. They have 2 more days to get it to me via fax (which is not hard to do), otherwise, I lose my job. If that happens, I will take them to court for loss of wages and anything else I am entitled too. This is ridiculous! They are more than willing to take your money and have you sign your life away, but when you need just a simple piece of paper stating what is yours or what youre paying for or Lord even to follow the law, you have to go through a mini war to get it. Also, do not try to contact anyone there on a daily basis because you will be harassed by certain representative at their answering center. It took me 11 calls in 1.5 hours to get in touch with the person helping me at her extension no less, and then, I was told that it was my fault that its taking so long and that I should have informed them sooner that I needed it when in fact, I informed them within 5 minutes of finding out what I needed. You can bet your bottom dollar that if it were them being faced with losing their job due to something I didnt do, they would be after me like a bat out of hell. Someone, please make this corporation do what they say when they say it and when we need it. I feel for anyone who finances through them. If your life is hassle free now, it will not be, after dealing with them in my opinion. For just a temporary lien release, giving a government company (DMV) permission to do their job and for me to follow the law, it takes 5 minutes. Thats all to fax. What is there issue? Oh, and I was told that this is a special request, something they do not do. Yeah okay.

I have always wanted a truck and I really like purchasing my Nissan truck. It was reliable and it drives very good. I like the power it had to maintain a steady speed. It was good on gas to carry me far distances. My truck also had a stereo system in it which played very good. But I would add a DVD player to watch movies when Im on the road with my grand kids. I like the way it sits up high were I can see everything but I would also like to buy it with the windows tinted to keep the sun out in the summer time because I live in Florida. I would of also like more cup holders.

I just got a used Nissan Xterra. I had it about two or a year. My transmission was slipping. I found out that Nissan had trouble with the radiator, leaking antifreeze into the transmission fluid making the transmission to go out. This showed a bin. A recall on them if it was a ford. They would fix it for free. If your company does not want to pay for a radiator and the transmission, I will not buy a Nissan again.

In October of 2012 I bought a brand new 2013 Nissan Versa. Great little car with excellent gas mileage. Within a month I heard a very loud rattling noise coming from underneath. I called the Nissan Service Dept and was told Oh yeah, thats the heat shield. There is a defect in it, just bring it in and we will fix it. I took it in and Nissan replaced it - no problem. 3 months later the same thing happened so I took it in again. About 8 months later it happened again. Now I purchased a new car because I drive 82 miles a day to work and back. And now, it happened again. 4 times within a 2 year period. Now because of the mileage, if I want it fixed, I have to pay for it. So how much is it?? Well they dont know because in order to give me a price, they have to look at the vehicle. They are unable to determine the price of the part needed and add it to their labor charges to give me a ball park idea of it will cost. So I send an email to the management team who calls me to let me know they cant replace the part for me for free, even though they know it is defective, but they are willing to let me trade it in and put me in a newer model Nissan that doesnt have any defects. Now if this is how they treat their loyal customers when something goes wrong, why on earth would I buy another car from them???

My son purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima with 36,000 miles on it. He has owned it for 2 weeks. He was suppose to have Powertrain warranty that went with vehicle till 2019. The CarFax said it was leased to private owner in 2014 till 2016 then sent to auction in New Jersey. In which another dealer purchased it. Then my son purchased the headache. The car had blue smoke coming out of exhaust so we took it to Nissan to look at. The service department said it was sludge in engine and the vehicle had no maintenance done at all. But Nissan wanted a pic of oil pan and valves before they would decline to have it repaired. My son paid 200 for this to be done then Nissan decline repair because of neglect. The Nissan dealership knew when vehicle was brought back from lease that no maintenance was done so they passed it along to auction so someone else could deal with it. Now son has car with no warranty.

Like everyone elses bad experience mine is no different. There is documented evidence that Nissans have a design flaw with the transmission that is very expensive to repair and is dangerous to the consumer because there is no warning and the radiator, coolant fluid and transmission fails causing internal problems. I have a 2006 Pathfinder and had always maintained my vehicle at the Nissan dealership, which is documented. I was driving 3 hours from home when check engine light came on. I continued to drive to the next available Nissan dealership where my vehicle, when acceleration became difficult and the vehicle, simply stopped and began smoking. They told me it would cost $8600 to fix. The value of the car was, before this was $7500. I was forced to rent a car in order to get home. I contacted Nissan Consumer Complaint and was given a complaint claim number and thought something would be done... Nothing. The claim representative just told me he was sorry but they could not help me. His response was scripted. How can these people get away with putting peoples lives in danger? I contacted the Manager of the service Department where my vehicle is currently located. He returned my car and indicated that the cause of my vehicle failing was due to the radiator, coolant fluids, and transmission failing. I plan on filing a lawsuit because this is insane for a dealership not to make a consumer aware of a major problem like this.

It had a good review online with websites I had checked. It was also in our price range, it was nice looking, there was no damage, it was a good size, had a large trunk and a roomy back seat. But the glove box has a weird design and you have to make sure you dont have anything near the sides or it wont close. Also the back seat doesnt have good back support. Nevertheless, Ive had a good experience with this car. I havent needed to take it in to be fixed for anything in the year and a half we have had it. We couldnt have asked for a better car for the money it cost.

Highly recommend you reconsider ever doing business with this company because they 100% do not care about customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, customer problems with their vehicles... Wont work with you to find a solution when they sell you a faulty product. Do NOT abide by their customer warranties. Its been 9 months of absolute hell with a brand new 2020 Altima. Completely appalled at the atrocities this company allows. Had so many repetitive issues they failed to fix and their only solution was that I trade it in so they could get MORE money from me! Completely disgusted with the dealership, consumer affairs and arbitrations.

Purchased a new Nissan. Been making payments online and on time for over a year. Nissan changed their website without notice. Stopped sending notifications to customers of billing due. Tried to collect two months when only one was due. Charged a late fee. Does not supply an email address, nor do they answer their phone, just IVR. Extremely poor customer service and planning. This was the first and last time Ill finance through them.
