I bought my new Nissan in 2007, and has no problem until now with my CVT transmission @ 121.800 miles. I was concerned because I was over the extended warranty of 120,000 miles. I contacted Nissan affairs and open a case with them explaining my hardship of repairing the transmission of $4,300 stated from one of Nissan advisors. I was asked to provide the name of the advisor, location of the dealership, and the amount quoted. And within 24 hours, I would be contacted regarding a decision of if they can or cant help with this matter.Glory be to GOD. I received a call in 24 hours from the same advisor that quoted me the $4,300 dollar a day before stating Nissan will take care of the cost of my transmission which has 0 miles and I would only have to pay the labor cost and I also receive a warranty... I believe Jesus touched somebodys heart at Nissan Consumer and I thank JESUS for it. The labor cost is between $1,000 - 1,500 dollars but Im trusting that it will be fair. Im encouraging anyone that is having a difficult time with the repair of their car to Contact Consumer Affairs and see how they may be able to help them...

I leased a 2012 Altima SL and made all the payments on time. I turned the car in at a Nissan dealership and paid all balances due. Several months after that apparently NMAC decide there was a balance due of $127 and never contacted me (email, phone, postal mail). Since I was unaware of the situation the amount went past due and I got a 30 day late notice on my otherwise perfect (770+) credit rating. Thats how I found out they felt I owed them some stupidly small amount. Absolutely horrendous customer service and I will never deal with them again. Its a shame because I enjoyed the car but their financing arm is absolutely horrible to deal with every time I have had to call them or otherwise.

Timing chain tensioner guide premature failure. This is a known problem Nissan has with their engines. Timing chain tensioner premature failure. Nissan has a timing chain that requires no maintenance, yet they use a tensioner guide that is not up to par. There is already on lawsuit for similar Nissan cars maybe there should be two. Fontana Nissan quoted me $800-$1900 to replace this $30 part that was made with a poor quality plastic. If it wasnt a quality problem the OEM guide would still be sold instead its a new part and new part number. Ive owned one Nissan Altima before this and currently own a Murano, Cube and Altima in question. $800 - $1900 to replace a $30 part that is poorly designed and no mentions of any maintenance on the part is insane.Does it seriously make sense to have a customers engine removed from the car, have the customer pay $800 - $1900 and not have a car for a week, or take a chance of the guide failing completely, the chain slipping and would destroy the INTERFERENCE engine possibly on the highway for a $30 part that is poorly designed?

On Sept. 24 2014 I bought a NISSAN ROUGE SV color metallic blue. Around 2015-2016 I noticed small paint chipping off on the hood, front bumpers and I thought it was normal so I bought a touch-up kit paint now just about every day I have paint chipping off and to me looks like a cheap one coat paint by NISSAN CORPORATION. I filed a complaint with the Broward General Attorney under the protection of LEMON LAW in Florida. I paid $29300.00 brand new and is being kept in my home garage.

Bad experience with Altima 2013. I was out of manufacture warranty when first radiator started to leak and needs the replacement - It was a rusted hole in the part!! Next - transmission failed - pieces of metal found in the transmission! When I looked up on the internet I realized that I purchased the lemon. Reviews are stating “Avoid like a plague” Nissan Altima 2013, 2014, 2015 due to the transmission problem. On my request Nissan used a good reason not to satisfy my claim to replace the car or to pay for repair as I am out of manufacture warranty. People talking like robots polite and monotonous. Nobody wants to take responsibility. This is my 2nd Nissan, First I owned for 20 years. Will not go with Nissan anymore.

I made 32 phone calls (documented), 2 faxes to car dealer, certified letter – NO RESPONSES. All I wanted was to make my first payment before it was late! I HAD a credit score of over 750 and in 2 months NMAC (Nissan finance) RUINED my credit – now its 620! I spent over 5 weeks just trying to get the mailing address to make my payment. I called 3 different published phone numbers for NMAC and they didnt have my account registered! I didnt exist – no account number to put my $$$ towards! Next thing I know – REPO! Even before repo I had my atty involved and they even ignored her calls! Finally, after the Repo, the repo company was obligated by law to give me the phone number to contact. I had a 3-way phone call with Nissan and my lawyer on the line. I explained everything and said I would be willing to pay the entire amount, even plus 1 month in exchange for them faxing my attorney, admitting that NMAC made an error and I was never late on my payments. Thats all I asked for! I was willing to let them get away with doing this to me, but they refused to admit fault. I told them Id see them in court then. My atty was even surprised at how they treated me and said she never had a company REFUSE $$$.

I recently purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue with 133,000 miles. Seemed to be just what I needed. However, just a few days after I purchased I noticed the engine would power down when taking off. I had it checked out and it was the transmission. I verified with the Nissan dealer and they confirmed it was the transmission. When calling to make the appointment and telling the problem that was experienced the service guy expected it to be the transmission. Seems that it is a common problem with the 2013 model. However, I have since found out that is a problem for 2010. Nissan needs to extend their warranty repair for this problem.

I have always been very proud to say that I have purchased all of my cars from Nissan. I’ve been loyal customer to Nissan for 20 + years, buying all five of my cars and referred many of my family and friends who were looking for a car. My financing company for my Nissan Altima is Nissan as well. I travel many times a year and rent my cars through Nissan. Corona Nissan and Downey Nissan have been my dealerships. Tim ** is my loyal dealership representative who always took care of my car buying experience. Because of him he had proven to me what great customer care and loyalty Nissan has toward their customers. On 1/20/16 I got off work and attempted to head home. The indicator or key was lit up on my dashboard. I figured it was the battery in my remote and I could replace it. I stopped at the store on the way home. My car didn’t start leaving me stranded. After being towed to Carson Nissan, I was informed that the reason it didn’t start was because the Intelligent key malfunctioned and it would cost $1018.23 to fix. I had to borrow money to get this fixed. Looking in the owner’s manual, it clearly states that it is a Malfunction which to me is an issue that needs to be handled by Nissan.I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs in hopes that I could get some kind of financial support with this situation. The agent that contacted me within 24 hours left a message and said they would be making a decision on the matter within 7 business days. I tried to call her back to discuss the situation but receive a callback. I received a call denying my claim. I was told that this decision was based on the year of my car, mileage and my warranty expired back in July. Of course, for me, I was VERY disappointed. As a customer of Nissan I should have had the opportunity to be able to talk to someone that listened. Every time I called Nissan ConsumerAffairs I received an answering machine. The agent I spoke to I felt didnt listen. I believe that this decision was completely unfair. Not one person asked what kind of customer I am to Nissan. I always believed that Nissan took care of their customers but now that isn’t the case. Through the years, I have never contacted Nissan ConsumerAffairs for any kind of assistance. I understand that I am responsible for my car’s wear and tear. I would never take advantage of the company that I have always thought so highly of. However, in this matter, I feel that because my owner’s manual says malfunction this is an issue that Nissan should be responsible for. Due to this decision and how it was handled, I will NEVER buy a Nissan nor will I ever refer my friends and family members again.

I had a horrible experience in every aspect of my purchase. I had a truck moved from my dealerships lot a few miles away. I asked to wait to view the truck in person BEFORE signing any documents. I was assured that the documents I was signing were related to the loan and extended warranty and I would be able to see the vehicle before signing. I was offered $2000 off by another dealer but it was too late, unknown to me I already signed. I had to purchase bed extender and was supposed to receive 15% off for my VIP package, negative, paid full price. I took my truck in for service and spent over 2 hours watching soap operas for an OIL CHANGE!!! Last straw was my drivers door. The door is not aligned properly. When opening the door falls and causes and overlap with the rear door. It closes with some force. I took to the dealership for repair under warranty. I was leaving town for a few days and had to take a cab to the airport to get a rental. I was called and told my truck was ready. I returned and took another cab ride to pick up my truck. SAME PROBLEM. The dealer did offer me a loaner which was nice BUT upon returning to get my truck a second time... SAME PROBLEM!!! I will likely never buy another Nissan EVER!!! The only reason I purchased this one is that there were limited options. I was driving a 2014 RAM 1500 Crew cab which I loved but I live in the city/suburbs and needed something smaller for daily driving. The only options were Tacoma, Frontier or Colorado. The Frontier won based on size and price. Im now wishing I had paid extra for a better product and service. Ive had nothing but problems from the purchase to service.

My husband has a 2014 Nissan Sentra, hes made all payments on time. Recently he started getting calls about him not paying. Hes even showed his proof of each payment. All they said was yeah it shows you paid, but we didnt get any payment and told him to pay more. Obviously someone there is pocketing the money or some crap cause hes been paying. Last week they had his car repossessed for no payment... But he has been paying. Hes even told them that he wont ever get another Nissan and asked them if they scam all soldiers like this? they hung up on him. He has yet to get his car back and they still wont admit that theres something wrong in the whole payment thing. They said he hasnt paid in 4 months. I have a 2015 Sentra and Im thinking of selling mine so I dont go through this crap too. NMAC are nothing but scammers.

I have a leaking sending unit on my 2015 Nissan Sentra. I opened a case report with Nissan Corporation 2 weeks ago, Sept 1, but have not received a call back from Nissan during normal business hours despite 6 calls Ive made to the Nissan Customer Representative over the past 2 weeks. Nissan has a recall for the same problem -- on the 2015 Altima and 2015 Maxima -- an improperly installed ring on the sending unit, resulting in leaking fuel. I cannot get any assistance from Nissan as of today, August 12.Additionally Nissan sent me a letter earlier this year (the letter of course is not dated but I received it this past spring 2019) advising that I might have a complete blockage..in the EVAP tube located between the fuel tank and the evaporative emission canister. While this is different from the problem of the leaking sending unit, it illustrates that Nissan clearly has multiple problems with defective fuel pump assembly parts and/or improperly installed fuel pump assembly parts.

Purchased new Nissan Juke 2016 with CVT transmission. The transmission was bad from day one and family and passengers would notice, but I loved how the car looks. Come February 2020 and the vehicle literally stopped in the middle of the highway, very dangerous but I turned the engine off, restarted and moved to the shoulder. Took it to a dealership and was quoted $4890 for repairs. The vehicle has been sitting at Sterling McCall Nissan waiting to be repaired. I follow up every day with the service department and they claim Nissan North America has not shipped the part. I drive for Uber and for a month now I havent worked a day losing income, time and causing psychological damage. Given theres a class action on defective CVT transmission in the Nissan Juke, Nissan should do the right thing and foot the bill for my repairs. I believe Nissan sold lemon cars to consumers and are not prepared to fix the mistake.

This is a reliable vehicle. It is small and has a sporty feel but still feels safe. It handles well & acceleration. The trunk area is quite small but I can fit a surprising amount of stuff in the car with the seats down. One of the most important features I was looking for this time around was a vehicle with AWD. I found my previous car slip-sliding around in the big rainstorms we had over the last few years and I wanted to solve that problem for a safer, less-stressful commute. The Nissan Juke has good gas mileage, comfortable seats and good power uphill (my commute home includes a long trek into the foothills). My major complaint is the small gas tank! I have to refuel multiple times a week for commute. Stil, I would recommend this car.

Purchased car in April 2012. It is a convertible, just in time to enjoy for the summer. But that did not happen because within a month of having the car just in time to use for the nice weather, the car was in for service because the roof would not go up and down - 3x this happened. Then the winter came, no problems, because you dont look to put the roof down. The summer of 2013 is here and the car is in for service again - entire roof was replaced and still does not work properly. The car has been at 2 different dealerships in the 16 months I have owned it for a total of 7 times. One dealership even tried to give me the car back with the windows not closing properly.

2 problems I am having with this car....1.) I will be driving down a freeway for about 20 minutes.... Go to get off freeway and stop at a light.... Wait for light to change and car will not go over 2-3 mph for about 30-45 seconds then all of a sudden jumps up to 15 mph from my foot being on the gas pedal which has almost caused a few car accidents. 2.) I recently moved to California from Arizona and on my trips back and forth, the car after an hour of driving will all of a sudden slow down from 80 mph to 35-45 mph in a 75 mph speed zone. Happens going up hills even the slightest incline in the road and once you go down hill it will slowly start to speed up.I drive around with 2 children in the car ages 4 and 5.... This is so beyond dangerous and blows my mind that Nissan will not do ** about it. I have taken it to Nissan dealerships, mechanics and everyone says... I dont know what it is. I even took my iPad in showing a YouTube video of a gentleman that was driving having the same problem!!! And they still said, I dont know. I am beyond pissed and want a class action lawsuit against Nissan for having defaulted vehicles out there and not doing anything about it. Go online and its page after page of people having the same issue. Nissan get off your lazy ass and fix this problem!!

They approved a one month extension, then pushed us one day over the 30-day mark by their own incompetence and now refused to remove this one and only credit glitch even though we were longtime, paying on time customers. Nissan is mean-spirited and inconsiderate to their customers and should be blackballed by all of us. In fact, dont even buy Nissan. My daughter purchased a car in November 2016. The sale of the car went smoothly. Unfortunately she got behind on her notes. We had called to give them an estimate date of when the notes would be paid. To my understanding if notes arent paid in 120 days repossession occurs. It hadnt even been 120 days and the day that we were on the phone which was Thursday, February 23 to pay the notes. We were put on hold for a long time only for the company in which they had repossess the car took the car. Finally someone comes on the phone with the amount due then she tells us to hold on for the fees. I asked, What are the fees for? She explained for repossession and storage fees which came to the amount of $567. I asked more than once. Once this is paid will we have to pay any other fees once she retrieve the car from the towing company. I was told, No you shouldnt be because what was paid. Only for us to get to the towing company and they are charging us an additional $175 plus an additional 50 because we didnt make it in time to pick up the car before they closed. I am very very upset because we were given false information once I called back and spoke with a different young lady whos name was ruby and she told me that wasnt the correct information. Im very upset because I feel like we have been taken for more money. If a company pays a towing company to retrieve a vehicle why should we have to pay additional fees?

We WERE a Nissan family. 2012 Rouge on second transmission. First faulty transmission caught fire after Service Manager assured us the car was fine to drive. This left my 18 year old daughter on the side of a highway with a flaming car. 2015 Rouge CVT needed to be replaced. Sounded like the wheels were going to fall off. 2012 Versa transmission replaced the same week as the 2012 Rouge. Researched the Versa and it had air bags that were recalled and I was never notified. Called Corporate Nissan and spoke with two separate representatives that could have cared less that for safety or reliability. My daughters were both dismissed by service managers that told them their cars were fine. I am a single mom who has purchased 8 Nissans over the past 25 years. ATTENTION NISSAN ROGUE OWNERS PLEASE READ: I am extremely disappointed in the results of my visit. My 2008 Nissan Rogue of South Brunswick Acme Nissan went in because of a problem the Rogues had with their passenger airbag lights and problem with the sensor in the seat. Ive never had an accident nor problem with the seat. Now Nissan tells me, Sorry, the seat needs to be replaced to the tune of OVER $1400.00. They claim it was covered for 5 years or 50,000 miles. Oh yes and by the way, it was a recalled item at one time! Well gentlemen, I will not have this seat replaced and I will rely on the primary safety seat belt. I have 4 cars in my family, 2 of which are Nissans, and just for your info, I will NEVER and I mean NEVER buy another Nissan as long as I live or take it for service to Nissan. One last thing if I may. Why was I charged over $50.00 just to find out whose problem it was? Oh wait if it was Nissans problem you would absorb the cost but because it was not your problem you passed it on to me. Thank you for making my choice of vehicles in the future easier the next time because it WONT be a Nissan. A letter will follow up to Corporate of Nissan, BBB of NJ, and the Home News Tribune and their sister paper, the Asbury Park Press, Star Ledger, YouTube and anyone else I can inform via electronic media.

I bought the car on January 20, 2013 from Woodland Hill Nissan. I asked the sales person and said I wanted one color and black interior. He said, “Ok, we have.” Then I said ok. After all the paper work was done, he then said, “Actually, we have silver.” At that time, we have been waiting more than 6 hours so I was tired and my kids were hungry. I just needed to get out of there so I don’t’ want to say anything .One week after I got the car, the car started giving me problems while Im driving the car shaking so I called them. They told me to bring the car in - I did that. Three weeks later, the same thing happened so I called 1-800 Nissan1. They asked me what happened, and I told them everything. Then the lady spoke to the service manager, and he told her to tell me to take the car in, and I did that. Two days after I picked up my car, the same problem occurred so I called 1-800Nissan1 again and they said there is nothing they can do because they cant find what’s wrong with the car. I was so mad. How can they just say that? Then 2 or 3 weeks later, I got an email from the service manager and he told me that they found out whats wrong with the car. I made an appointment to take the car for a fix again (3 times already). Then after that, the car got worse and I emailed the manager, but until today, no answer. You know, this not my first time at buying a car, but it’s my first time buying a Nissan and I dont think I would not go back to Nissan for a second mistake. Im just hoping they can do something about it before I take an action.

Water leaked all over the interior and blew out of every vent. Nissan fixed this. The paint on the rear wheel wells is literally falling off after 5,000 miles. After several frustrating attempts Nissan refuses to fix this, claiming it is environmental. The dealer even told me this is a design flaw that Nissan is not owning up to. The rear sonar now no longer works @ 8,000 miles. Nissan has basically told me No several times to the paint, claiming its environmental. I live on a normal street, happened at 5000 miles, none of the other cars on my street have this issue! I am at the end of my wits. I feel like not only do I not have a new car, but that Nissan stole $28,000.00 for me. If money were not an issue, Id dump this vehicle for a Chevy ASAP.

Let me start off by saying, I just came back from overseas, and I am now stationed in Fort Stewart, GA. I am looking into purchasing a brand new Nissan Altima. I searched online and made a few stops. I had stopped by your Hinesville store, and saw a car I wanted. I asked them to give me the write up, because I wanted to go through my own bank. A guy there, who said he was the manager, said he would get the pricing together, and give me a call back. I never got any calls, only one from someone named Julie, and she does not know what she is doing. She had no clue I was just waiting for the price. Then, the internet manager from there called me, and I told him that I just got a phone call from his co-worker, and I think no one really wants to sell me a car. On 10 November 11, someone ran my credit with out my permission. I told them up front if I were to purchase a car, I would not go through Nissan. I am not aware what the law is for that, but I am looking into that now. Next, your Savannah store call me (Steven **). He seemed up front, and seemed as if he wanted to really help me. I told him I live about an hour away, and I didnt want to go up there and go through what I did at Hinesville. So we stopped by, and I showed him the car I wanted, and told him all I need was the write up to send to my bank.He talked to his manager, and he came over to speak with me. I explained to him why I wanted to go through my own bank, and he was so rude and had such an attitude. I understand Nissan will make more money if we go through them, but what he wasnt trying to hear is that, I may not get approved through you guys. So Steven told me that his computer was not working, but he would email me the write up, so I can send it to my bank. I got an email Saturday saying, he can send it to me, but we would have to come back. I dont understand why the manager just couldnt give it to us right then and there. I dont live right up the corner, to drive over there, to pick it up. This service is so unprofessional and I dont understand why I have to be treated like this. Is it because I am a woman? Your Hinesville store made me sit there for over an hour, while I watched him help other men. In the mean time, I had 2 infants, and my sister-in-law waiting in the car, right in their face. I have been out of the states for a long time, but I know that this kind of service is not acceptable. Here I am, a woman fighting for someones freedom, who doesnt even have the respect to help me. I am serious about buying a car and they are not serious about selling.I did not allow anyone to run my credit. I told them more than once, I would not go through Nissan. I will be looking into consequences for something like this. I feel like I was discriminated for being a woman. I also feel like someone blew me off, because I didnt want to finance through Nissan.

I purchased this vehicle new in 2009 and have since had 3 failures since owning this car. Nissan installed what is called an Electronic Steering Column Lock (ESCL) that is designed to help prevent theft. Unfortunately if this part fails and it will about every 50,000-60,000 miles you will be unable to start the car even though mechanically there is nothing wrong with your car. I looked up other complaints and there is over 256k complaints on this issue alone yet Nissan will not back this part up. I paid to have it installed a 3rd time and was told that it was the 3rd generation on this part and that it would last but here I am 60,000 miles later and it broke again. I understand that my vehicle is 10 years old now but, I dont understand how Nissan can know that a part they make is defective and not come up with a solution or work around it leaving drivers completely stranded in a vehicle mechanically sound. The repair for this is between $800-$1,100 each time. Nissan is aware of it and stopped installing it in all Nissans and Infinitis starting in 2012 but deny the part is defective. Knowing this I cant recommend that you buy any product from Nissan as there is no guarantee that they are going to back their product up and since this is a unique part built specifically for their vehicles only in 2009-2011 there are no aftermarket parts for this. If Nissan told me upfront that hey, this is a great engine and if you maintain it this vehicle will go at least 300k miles but, there is a part on it that cant be maintained and will break every 50k miles and costs $1,000 each time to repair I never would have bought it. Ive owned 3 Nissans in my life and this will be the last one I ever buy.

On May 1st 2015, my car would not start. I had to have it towed to a Nissan dealer. I found out it was a faulty steering column mechanism. This faulty part was recognized by Nissan and they extended the warranty. I filed a claim for reimbursement online and later received a call stating my claim would not be covered because it was out of the warranty time.....by 1 week!! This is Nissans problem because they knew the part was faulty. Online, I found a lot of unhappy people about this issue. That doesnt even include the people who wouldnt complain online.. I was hoping they would stand by their product, especially when they knew it was faulty.

Purchased a 72 month, 100,000 miles extended protection plan from for a used Nissan Rogue on March 3, 2012. The car was two years old, with 29,655 miles on it. The dealer offer a 72 months plan at time of purchased as a good assurance in case of unforeseen problems, etc. Sounded like a good idea, 6 years protection especially as the car gets older and parts might be prone to failure. The problem arose when I took the car in to be repaired April 3, 2017. They told me the plan had expired. The car doesnt have 100,000 on it yet. The 6 year plan begins on date of service not date of purchase. So, according to Nissan, I paid for a protection plan 2 years before I bought the car. On the form, it is clearly marked 72 month, 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Not so clearly is that protection starts at in service date. How does this make any sense? I think its contradictory. How can you label a plan as 72 months, when I didnt own the car on 2010. Ive put in a complaint to Nissan, but am not expecting satisfaction. Anyone else have the same situation?

I tried to give 0 stars but had to give one because 0 was not an available choice. I recently moved from NY to NJ and faxed a request to have my title mailed to the NJ DMV. My request was sent on 9/19/11. It has been almost a month and the NJ DMV has not received my title. Each time I call Nissan, I get a different answer from the customer service representative. I ask to speak with a manager and still get nowhere.I was informed today that the title was sent to the DMV on 9/26/11 via regular mail. I could not believe that theyd send such an important document via regular mail. I believe that since the DMV never received my title, it is lost and there is no way to track it. Nissans response is they have to wait 21 days for them to request a duplicate title. Nissan has the worst customer service department!

We purchased a luxury vehicle through NMAC for the past year and they are terrible. I have been paying the same price for 2 years with no drop in payment. When I asked about it they fixed it. The next month I was late with a payment and it went back to the previous price with no explanation. I spoke with a so called supervisor, to which I was told it went back to that price because I miss a payment. That makes no sense. They have held my payment and also lost my payments and also applied my payment to someone elses account. We recently moved and needed them to send the title to the new state so we could register our car. Problem this was after calling her every few days to see where it was. This left us with an unregistered vehicle for 10 days. I called back and then I was told that they will not send the copy of the title until the payment is made. They should have said this from the start when I contacted them, 10 days ago. Was told that all the fax machine in the company were down after I wanted to speak to a manager about the rep lying about the fax. But I had my friend at the dealer send a fax and they received it. In summary--THEY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING I HAVE SENT THEM, and it is apparently not their problem. After changing my address with them 4 times over the phone it was never updated, until 2 months later. Now Im still waiting after another 6 weeks and speaking with 13 different people for the title to be sent. Will never ever deal with this company again!!

I have been a heavily vested customer of the Nissan Product since 2005, being a Army veteran I have learned that many decisions are made quickly without complete information. My first Nissan that I purchased was a New NISSAN 2005 Pathfinder, my second new purchase was a New 2008 Nissan Xterra, my third New vehicle was a 2009 Nissan Sentra (this purchase was co signed with my mother Terry ** - I still drive this Nissan today with over 100K miles ) and my fourth New Vehicle is a 2014 Nissan Sentra. I provided this information so that you can confirm that I have been a committed customer of your product and the reason I have stood by the Nissan product is due to not only the reliability, dependability and low maintenance of the Vehicles but more importantly we are a family on a fixed budget like many families and having a low maintenance cost vehicle is that more important to us. We live in the great hot state of Florida the city of Orlando and having an AC unit that works properly in our vehicle is a crucial component. Our 2014 Nissan only has 34,216 miles on it - yes it is outside of the warranty for the years but the mileage average is less than 10K a year and no one would expect the AC compressor to go bad with such low mileage in a Nissan Product, my 2009 Sentra still blows cold air with over 100K mileage. Up until now I have had no issues with any of the Four Nissan Vehicle that we have purchased and its shocking to me to have a major component go bad with only 34,000 miles driven. Yesterday I paid $160.39 to have the vehicle diagnosed and confirmed to have a bad compressor by my local Nissan dealership. I believe Nissan should really stand by their product and Recommend Goodwill and replace the bad unit free of charge to me for such an unusual circumstance.

We have called Nissan Consumer Affairs, they dont care. Some of their representatives tell us the parts are covered, others tell us they arent. One of their representatives told me he would accept that listed parts arent covered, pay for them, and move on. That is what I suggest every Nissan owner should do. Move on to another car maker. Until you can get rid of your Nissan be honest when people ask if you would buy another, tell them no. Tell people you are not happy with Nissan. Explain and give examples to people of what Nissan does wrong. If Nissan wont listen, we must get everyone else to listen to us. Dont buy a Nissan.

Ive been dealing with the same issue for over a year and a half. Every time I call to see if they have fixed the problem (after they have told me it will be fixed), they havent. I dont understand how a business can run without doing their job. Ive called at least 15 times and have been told every time it will be fixed. Ive even asked for a call back every time; not once have I gotten one back. After a year and a half, NMAC has impacted my credit score. I planned to purchase a home in September 2013 but will not be able to. My quality of life has been diminished severely due to this issue. I have lost sleep thinking about what NMAC has done to my credit and how I will have to pay for NMACs fault for years to come. I can honestly say I have never thought a car purchase would negatively impact my life like this. I can only imagine how many customers Nissan is losing due to NMAC.

Bought my 2012 Nissan Juke brand new and have had top notch maintenance (ie required oil changes, transmission fluid change, filter changes, etc.) at the same and only licensed Nissan dealer. The recall in 2014 of the Nissan Juke timing chain prompted me to take it in and get it fixed (although I was having no problems) -- I had approximately 36,000 miles on it then. Now, 56,000 miles later, I am at 92,000 miles and have been hearing a noise coming from under the hood. Took it to the same dealer and lo and behold... Its the timing chain. Nissan consumer affairs feels like theyre doing me a favor by covering ONLY the parts for this ($485.00) and Im suppose to fork over the remaining $1200.00 for labor. Really Nissan? They say my car is out of warranty. This has absolutely nothing to do with warranty. First, my car has had top notch maintenance with documented proof at the dealership. Second, the elephant in the room is the fact that Nissan refuses to take responsibility that this is a premature failure of the timing chain they put in 56,000 miles ago. This will be the first and last Nissan I ever purchase. How sad, a multi-million dollar company cant afford to please a customer and do the right thing by standing behind their parts. I purchased a Nissan Xterra from Team Nissan of Marietta, Ga on 11/10/2011. The sales officer gave me prices of the available models. He misled me in prices several times on phone that resulted in early sales of my Xterra in possession and prompted me to buy on emergency basis. Apart from this, he gave me misleading information and avoid disclosure responsibility as he mentioned that only shortcoming in the vehicle. I was buying Nissan Xterra S model against X model, that one has alloy wheel, automatic outside mirrors and hard wood in trunk. And the one I was buying had missing these 3 features. Plus I would save $2000.I purchased the vehicle and I found out the next day while I was driving to the church with my wife that it did not have the main necessity like inside lights on drivers side, and the mirror on the passengers side. We are senior citizens, I dropped my hearing aid one time and denture on another time, and tried to turn on the light to find and there was no light. I had to pull on side to find them. I complained the next day and they did not entertain me and said the sale has already been reported to Nissans main office.I complained but Nissan North America did not respond. I also participated several times in surveys and as of this date they have not responded yet. I am experiencing hardship which will continue till I own this vehicle. Now finally I am trying to complain to watch dog agencies, BBB and good governance and fair trade, and still if Nissan would not address this, I would report through media.

Ive bought Nissan Almera (Nissan Teana, name in Thailand) on Dec. 2013 and feel some vibration during the ride in the third week. Id contacted with the dealer to tell the problem Ive found. I made an appointment to check whats wrong with my car. After checking, they tell me that my car is normal. After that Ive found jerky in the second month. After consulting with the technicians from Jatco, they indicated theres a problem from the gear and propose to change the gear for me.I hardly accept this. I bought a new car; like any customers, I hopefully find the normal car, at least; no problem, anxiety-free, safety indeed, no need to fix or change the primary compartment of the car (in my opinion, gear is the significant compartment of the car) in a short time. During the arguments, Ive found some ignorance and worst of all, the representative gave a lie to me!! I wrote the letter to Nissan Japan and Nissan Motor Thailand but it didnt help. Nissan Japan said that Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has complete authority over Nissans product and service in Thailand. Now that the lemon law in Thailand is not strong enough, all I can do is to tell anyone in Thailand, and also in another country about the problem. By now there are customers in Thailand facing the same problem. Finally, I will not recommend NISSAN to anyone in Thailand or anywhere.

I have been a loyal Nissan owner/leaser for almost 20 years - I have literally had 9 Nissans, and have always been happy with their performance. I was 2 years into my current Pathfinder lease, and my financial situation changed dramatically due to a divorce and job loss. My income went down to a third of what it was, and the monthly payment was just too much. I understand that many people have financial hardships, but as an extremely loyal Nissan customer who NEVER missed a payment and has excellent credit, I thought that Nissan would work with me on an early termination fee reduction. Three weeks and numerous phone calls later, I was literally told by a Customer Service supervisor that while she had the power to make an adjustment, she simply couldnt break their policy. Losing my business after 20 years was apparently worth the $1800 early termination fee, or actually less than that, as I was willing to pay something on a credit card to leave this lease, and then lease a less expensive Nissan that fit my budget. I worked with Hyundai, and they gave me more than $1000 more than my Nissan dealership was willing to give me for my Pathfinder. I unfortunately have the same payment on my new vehicle, but I own instead of leasing, and I will save $100 a month on gas. At least its something... but Nissan has lost me as a customer forever.

I have been a Nissan customer since 2004 and was happy with the brand until one of my Nissans started having issues. I purchased a Nissan extended warranty when the car was new and unfortunately it ended up being a waste of money. My car is a Roadster and it is making some loud noises during closing it and has excessive wind noise along with rattles. The dealer, St. Charles Nissan, said it is normal operation to avoid a repair under extended warranty. They even charge me a diagnostic fee for that. It is obviously not normal based on hundreds of top related online complaints so I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs for their help. They basically said they can not force the dealer to do anything. Since they do not care about their customers, I will find another brand for our future car purchases.

The fan blade assembly on my 2013 Pathfinder started making a terrible noise. I took it to the Nissan dealer and they confirmed I needed a new assembly. They also stated this was a known issue and they were seeing a lot of these. Part was back-ordered. This cost me a total of $800. The day I was picking up my car, another Nissan was in for the same repair! I requested that Nissan Consumer Affairs look into this and consider covering the cost since it was a known issue. The rep, Rod stated that although it was something Nissan was aware of, they would not cover it because my car was out of warranty by 16,000 miles on the extended warranty. How poor to not cover your defective part and a known issue and hide behind the mileage. Do not purchase a Nissan - they dont stand behind their vehicles!

They never offered to help during the pandemic, I had to call out of desperation to see if there was anything they could do because I lost my job due to covid-19 and have no source of income. They extended my loan as I stayed out of a job for the past 3 months and now, according to them, the pandemic is over and I should have a source of income by now and make my payments. TRILLION DOLLAR COMPANY really penny pinching and can’t do anything to help their customers during this time of need. Real classy.

I love how my Nissan drives and handles on the road. It has great mileage. This is the third Nissan that I have owned. I have had no issues with it and have 35000 miles on it. Bargain for money. I love the color, interior, leather and heated seats and all the safety features like air bags and warning lights and symbols. I also like the moon roof and navigation system and love the fact that it shows the air in my tires. However, I wish my car has a bigger screen for navigation and a better camera. I would also like better instructions on how to use the electronics. I also resent that I have to pay to update my navigation system. This should be included. I dont like the fact that Nissan is monitoring my car as well. But still, I have had great service from Nissan.

I will never buy a Nissan again! I own a Nissan Rogue and my car stopped working while I was on the freeway while my daughters were in the car. I found out it was my transmission (CVT) but Nissan refused to replace it since I was 1,700 miles outside of the warranty. There was no indication there was even an issue or that I should take my car in; which would have saved me thousands of dollars, prevented being without a car for over a week, and putting me and my family in grave danger. It is extremely upsetting and disheartening that Nissan cares so little for their loyal customers.

I bought a Certified Used 2010 Nissan Murano SL with 31,339 miles on 01/31/2013 from Crowley Chrysler Plymouth, Inc. I also opted for the Nissan Security Plus Extended Protection Plan when I bought the car. I am very happy with the car and all of the car’s features. It is exactly what my wife and I needed. I do, however, have one issue since buying the car.On 03/11/2013, I took the car in to my local dealer for routine servicing. The car had 34,099 miles at the time. The dealer asked if the car had its 30,000 mile servicing. I did not know, but I assumed the answer was yes since the car was certified. I had attempted to get the service records on the car from Crowley, but they declined to give them to me saying that there were privacy concerns giving me another client’s maintenance records (I thought this was odd at the time, but did not challenge it). My current dealer offered to check with Crowley service to see if the car did in fact receive its 30,000 mile servicing. The answer he got was no. So I requested that this servicing be done and also asked for the car to be inspected.Upon receiving my bill, I was a little shocked. The bill was $1,393.01! Here is what was done: 30,000 mile required maintenance per Nissan manual; the car needs 4 new tires to pass inspection. The rear two tires tread was below standard, and the front two were very close to being below standard. Since this is an all-wheel drive car, the dealers recommended that all four tires be replaced. I agreed; and the alignment was out on all four tires, therefore an alignment was required. Since I was buying a certified used car, I did not expect any of these issues to be present. Question: shouldnt these issues have been taken care of by the dealer that sold me the car? Resolution: after several conversations with Nissan, I was told that there was nothing that Nissan could do, and that I should try to work something out with the two dealerships.Nissan Certified Vehicles Program is a scam. It allows the dealership to ask more for a certified vehicle, but gives the client no assurance that they are getting something in the deal. Unless you are willing to check all of the 150+ items on the certified checklist prior to purchase, you will be holding the bag if something is wrong later. In my case, the rear tires were just in spec. (5/32) at the dealership where I bought the car and not able to be inspected (2/32) on my first visit to my local dealership a little over 2,000 miles later. Nissan did not stand behind their process and left me in the middle between two dealerships - a losing proposition for anyone finding themselves in this position.

I own a 2012 Nissan Versa with only 38000.00 miles. The car broke down last week on me while I was driving. I had it towed to the dealership where it is still. There they say they cannot find out what is wrong with it but they too cannot get it to start. When I called them today they are now saying they believe it may be something wrong with the transmission. Thank god I bought an extended warranty on it. I cannot be upset with the service department as so far they have been very nice and I do have a rental car compliments of Nissan. But with this car having less than 40000.00 miles and the transmission going out already that is not a good sign. I love my car but if this is an indication of what is to come I am going to get rid of this car and will not go back to Nissan.

After reading so many bad reviews about Nissan Cars I thought I would weigh in. I owned a 2001 Nissan Altima 213,000 miles no major problems. Never changed anything major on this car. Its whole life oil every 3,000 and brakes. Drove this car to the Crusher in 2017 just for its age and bad sensor costing too much for the value of the car. I owned a 2005 Nissan Maxima SL 233,000 miles the transmission finally went. Engine is still strong. I only changed the 3 Timing chains at 160,000. Other than that I never changed anything major on this car. Its whole life oil every 3,000 and brakes. Got rid of this one because the transmission outweighs the cost of the car.I own a 2007 Nissan Altima S with about 80,000 miles on it and it still runs and drives well. The only thing I could say is it burns about a quart of oil in between oil changes. But is still very reliable. My next purchase is a 2010 SV Premium Maxima with 98,000 miles on it. And I have no problem with getting a Nissan with this mileage, because with proper care they will last well above 200,000 miles.

I bought a Nissan about 5 months ago. They were ready and willing to help me in a car. They went out and brought the Nissan to show me. About 3 or 4 months ago the car had places on the hood and trunk of the car. I took the car to the Nissan place in Greer S.C. They looked at it said rocks from the road did this. Well dont you think I would have felt and seen when the rocks would have hit my car? As big as the places are, they would not help me! But if I was going to buy a car they would have been all over me! I took it to a man that paints cars. They said take it to Nissan where I bought it that it was in the paint! They tried to say it was rocks that did it. The man that looked at it picked at it and made it worst.I told him I wish he would stop doing that he was making it worst! Thats when he said he couldnt help me! That paint guy could have charged me to paint the car, but he was honest to tell me that! Somebody told me I could make that man pay for the damage he done to my car picking at it the way he did! I love the way the car rides now but Im afraid it might fall apart any time. Wish I had never bought the car from Nissan. Im very very unhappy with those people and the car the way it looks! I cant afford to trade the car or I would, but not with them! My husband died in Dec and its hard on me to change cars right now. They got all my money!

I have had to change the gearbox of my Nissan Lafesta thrice in three years. The car has two main problems. Loses power after doing 20kms; it suddenly stalls on the road and gives the check-engine light. Diagnosis indicates problems with a different sensor with every visit to the mechanic which is at least twice a week. I have had to replace the gearbox twice in three years and yesterday my mechanic recommended I change the gearbox again. This is the first Nissan I am owning after good experiences with other car brands. I WILL NEVER BUY A NISSAN AGAIN.

Bear with me this a long story, but I took a chance with a Nissan Dealer and am now regretting ever buying a Nissan. I’ve owned my car for a little over 3 months, and 1/3 of those months I have had it in the shop- untouched. Unfortunately, I live in Michigan- where the road conditions are unpredictable. I hit something, and immediately had it towed to a Nissan dealership near me - Fox Nissan of Lansing. This is where they held my car for 2 weeks, telling me they could repair it. At the end of these 2 week they informed my insurance that they DO NOT have a collision center and cannot fix my car. Look, I know I should have asked the right questions, but I work a 9-5 job and every time I tried to call to talk to someone they were busy, which I understand, but I never received any callbacks, and I received no EMPATHY from the sales desk. When talking to what was said to be the manager there, he offered me nothing for my wait. After towing my car to a collision center nearby, they inform me one part for my car will take 4-6 weeks to get there. Then at which I will have to wait for them to fix my car. Now, I am in a position where I must loan a family friend’s car for 2 months. I then reached out to Nissan’s customer service to see if there is anything they can do for me. I wait another week to find out there is not ONE single thing they can do for me, NOTHING. Now, I have worked in the customer service industry for YEARS. For me to buy a car and have something misfortunate happen soon after, and must wait 2 months for me to see my car, be offered no rental/ loaner, no free future services, no free car payments, nothing? Now that makes for a very unhappy customer. I will no longer be buying a Nissan after this car. For any new car buyers? I wouldn’t buy a Nissan either.

In Feb 2013, I leased a brand new Nissan Pathfinder. I had an 2010 Altima prior but with my family size increasing, I decided to upgrade to something larger. The worst purchase of my life. On the SAME DAY I brought the vehicle home, it would not go into PARK. I had to return it to the dealer. After picking it up that evening on the drive home it started shaking violently to the point that my toddler was terrified in his car seat. I drove right back to the dealer who kept the car for 7 days and then called and said it was ALMOST repaired. But it is safe to drive and as soon as Nissan has the recall part ready I can bring it in and they would have it repaired. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs after numerous fights with the dealer who washed their hands of the issue because they already had my money. Well the only thing worse than a Nissan vehicle is the people that work at their corporate offices. They were of no help and said they were not going to buy back the vehicle as I would have to wait for it to be fixed. I picked up the truck and the VERY NEXT DAY, it completely stalled in a parking lot. It had to be towed into the dealer. 48 hours later I was told that it would be there for another 7 days or so because it needed a NEW TRANSMISSION!!! Please keep in mind all this in only 15 days and I havent even put 50 miles on the car! Well after numerous talks with Nissan and the dealer I got screw over because I am to this day stuck with a vehicle that still never works right. The parking sensor light comes on when its 37 degrees, the heated seats malfunction, the car is always jittery and the tires were terrible! Had to be replaced after 20K miles! To add insult to the injury the Nissan dealer did not submit my payment that was made to them to their finance company in a timely manner and they reported that late payment on my credit report! Even though I have recurring payments set up with them. And it gets worse. I just relocated to PA from NY and they increased my payment by 60 dollars stating that the taxes are different! All with no explanation! Their customer reps are downright rude and nasty! This is the WORST COMPANY ever! I tell everyone I know how horrific they are and how horrible their vehicles are! I have met many people who have had the same issues with this type of car and who feel so ripped off and violated by this company.

I own a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5L. The vehicle was purchased used back in March 2006. It had 27k miles on it. Through the years, it has been serviced at a Nissan dealership in Mt. Holly, NJ. In March 2011, a service engine soon (PO420) appeared. The cat converter was replaced along with plugs. The invoice was $1,132.92. The vehicle had 121k miles. Today, it has 152k miles and another service engine soon pointing to the same PO420. I am told it needs another cat. Thats only 31k miles on the replacement. I am aware of the original federal warranty on catalytic converters - 8 years or 80k miles - and that Nissan replacement parts carry only a 12-month / 12k mile warranty. However, as both a consumer as well as a logical person, since the original converter lasted 120k miles and 9-10 years, the replacement should have been comparable. My decision to keep the car at that point may have been different had I known of the unreliability of the replacement. Additionally, my vehicle is now experiencing excessive oil consumption - one quart every seventy-five miles. This obviously is a result of the degradation of the cat, particles of which have worked their way into the cylinders and scored the walls. This has occurred about a month ago since the second service engine soon light. I have contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs (Case# **) who offer no assistance. I have also reached out to Mr. Brian **, Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing of Nissan North America. I havent had the courtesy of a response. This company has lost me as a loyal customer. They will advertise otherwise, but Im sure that they really couldnt care less.

I purchased a 2014 Nissan Versa Note at Gladstone Nissan. Navigation system
I purchased a 2014 Nissan Versa Note at Gladstone Nissan. Navigation system has never worked right & I spent 5 weeks taking it back & contacting dealership. They never had service handle my complaints but rather had the salesman troubleshoot to no avail. I no longer had the time to drive there & sit & especially since I did not give good survey results on Nissan survey - have been confronted by dealership employees including GM (Why would Nissan share that information that I was promised was anonymous only to be confronted personally & by phone? Nissan failed to honor their word & placed me in harms way. What was the purpose of the surveys - to punish the consumer who answers honesty?). No interest in resolving multitude of problems Ive had with the dealership, including getting my address correct, providing me with promised paperwork, deceptive practices in including other warranties with contract & being uncooperative in cancelling the contracts (see Edmunds.com consumer reviews - this is their standard). Worse yet, there are 2 recalls already - not even a month old. Nissan Consumer Affairs is a big waste of time & patronizing - they claimed they could not consider more actions because I do not have documented return visits for the car (once again, the dealership at fault) & did not return the car for recall campaigns (I did some 3 weeks prior to CA claim) at a different dealership. They have no course of action intended apparently except to not help the customer - who buys a new car which does not work as promised & identifies problem immediately. The other dealership ordered a replacement navigation system, except that they cant get them in because it is too new a car. So how am I to resolve a problem with a new car which Im stuck with when there is no one in the hierarchy of Nissan NA taking responsibility for their cars, dealerships and customer satisfaction promise? Now the ceiling in the car needs repaired. I would not recommend Nissan because they fail to support their guarantee and do nothing to resolve problems with their dealerships & car defects. I have logged some dozen hours in calls to no avail. I have new car payments on a limited income, poor health & a navigation system I purchased to navigate in a new area to get to many medical appointments/tests. Consequences of buying a Nissan: I have a new car that has a navigation screen that has pop-ups that block all visibility of the map & have expended hours lost, on the side of the road trying to clear it, and deteriorating health as a result. I have spent hours trying to contact third party vendors to cancel non-negotiated contracts & updating my mailing address because of incompetence & unethical designs of dealership. It is helpful to share my plight in social media to warn future buyers to steer away from the Nissan Versa Note, Nissan N.A., Gladstone Nissan, so that my experiences are not repeated.

Purchased Nissan Altima..brand new from Davidson Nissan In Watertown NY. My car overheated to the point the indicator was pegged out completely! And fluid spewed out from under the hood multiple times!! First trip to very unfriendly service department..was told could not repeat. Picked up my car and the radiator fluid was still all over the front end of my car!! Next day picked my son up at school. Car overheated to the point I was asked to move it farther away from the building for fear children could be burned from the spewing liquid. Parked in the far end of parking lot. My car was flat bedded again to Davidson Nissan in Watertown N.Y. Was told again could not repeat. Went to pick up my car, they couldnt find it. Called service manager and he told them he parked it in the back field. They brought it to me covered in dirt and yep covered in more anti freeze. This continued for weeks. I told the manager of the Davidson Nissan Watertown NY I did not want the car anymore. I asked him to buy it back. He said all he could do to make it right was an extended warranty, Nissan car mats, 2 free oil changes (I did not use) and a Nissan hat. 2 years later my car suddenly jerks going down the highway. I get off exit and car hesitated. I drove less than a mile to pizza shop. Went to leave and my car would not go forward or reverse.. Called warranty company and had my car flat bedded to Burdick Nissan in Cicero NY (Drivers Village). I was told this morning that transmission had to be completely replaced!!! What it is a 2017 are you kidding me. Yep but at least its covered by warranty. What about next time? Replacing with the same kinda transmission.... Hello..I thought Nissan was a good dependable car. I dont want this car and owe too much to trade it!! Thanks Nissan.

I also like the way my plan is set up, the mileage that I get, the attitudes for the workers that is provided when servicing the car and the service that they supply. I purchased brand new Versa Note in August 2014, from the beginning the car was acting strangely - turning signal didnt work properly, the car was wavering on the road, made all weird cracking sounds and after every long ride, burning smell was coming out from left and rights tires. I brought it to Nissan services, but they couldnt determine the problem. I dont know anything about the cars, but can tell that eventually part of the axle was changed. Two weeks later I was driving back to Nissan with emergency lights on. Car was shaking so badly that I couldnt keep it in one lane. Once they took it on a test drive the wheel fell off!!! And they had to evacuate my car!! No one knows what was the problem, but they decided to replace the whole axle. Thanks God I didnt take a freeway that morning when I was bringing my car to a dealership! I am not satisfied!! I am pissed!! I am upset!! I purchased a new car, because I believed it would give me a sense of safety and security. But actually I got a lemon instead!! Mine and my kids life was put in danger! The car has a bit more than 5.000 miles on it, I am so caring with it, but it is bad. I am afraid to drive it now, even when it is being fixed, one week ago the wheel came off (which I doubt happens on a regular bases), how can I know that one week from now the roof will not be blown away or the car will not explode, or something else!!And another thing - when I cancelled some of my Christmas plans and was ready to go to pick up my car, Nissan representative called me and left a voice mail, saying: Oh, the car is not ready yet, I forgot to tell you that while we were fixing the axle we scratched the bumper... It sounded like they forgot to fill up the tank! I dont know if they are the one who responsible for the wheel falling off (because 2 weeks before it happened they were replacing the bolt) or Nissan just makes lemons, but I want this crap to be resolved! I have never heard or been in such a ridiculous and at the same time stupid and banal situation! I am going to talk to a lawyer. I want you to replace my car, return my money or other options. But I dont want to have any business with your company anymore. It is a big name, but a thin quality level.

A couple of years after purchasing my 2008 Nissan Rogue I began hearing a whining sound coming from the transmission while driving on long road trips. Eventually while on a road trip I was suddenly unable to accelerate. The pedal was down to the floor but rather than pick up speed, the vehicle would decelerate and was unable to even reach the speed limit on the highway. After bringing it to Nissan they said they would replace the transmission. A couple of years later I now have the same exact problem again. So it seems Nissan decided to replace the transmission with yet another faulty one or perhaps didnt even actually replace it the first time and did a temporary fix of some kind just so that the warranty would expire before it happened again. When I brought it back to Nissan again telling them the same problem has occurred they said they couldnt find anything wrong and refused to fix it. Nissan is fully aware of the problem as they now provide a fix for the faulty transmission but if course at the owners expense. That is ridiculous as Nissan should be held accountable for this faulty transmission and should eat the cost of replacing it or installing the fix since they were incapable of making a quality transmission in the first place. I am outraged that they have gotten away with this and cant believe a company should be able to take advantage of customers in this way. Shame on Nissan and I hope that everyone who wants a quality car from a company that cares about its customers stays far away from Nissan as you will be sorely disappointed!

I came across the mission of your company on your website. Since months I have serious and justified doubts on this mission. Let me explain: My Nissan Trail (1 year old - warranty) that I bought last year in January 2016 in Windhoek, Namibia has been under repair since 27 August 2016 until today (!) after an engine jamming. A long story of promises by the local Nissan dealer has been culminating in a statement by the dealer last Monday, 6 March 2017: We are sorry the engine has no compression and we have to bring it back to repair to the engine workshop. So I am waiting now for more than 7 months for my car with now not any prediction when it is going to be ready. And if it is could Nissan warrant that it is functioning? Engine repair is not standard anymore in Europe, but is overtaxed to customers in Africa. All this questions and more in detail I addressed in a written complaint to Nissan South Africa with not any answer so far. I hope you can address this mismatch between your mission and my experience as soon as possible. A frustrated customer.

Im in the process of purchasing a used 2004 Nissan Maxima. I have not had the vehicle for thirty days. It needed a wheel alignment in which the dealer said he did. The car jerks when changing gears from reverse to drive. It slips backward a little. The check engine soon light came on for three (3) days, then went off. Right now, the only money, I spent at this time is the down payment. What is my legal recourse regarding State lemon laws and/or the Uniform Commercial Code? I have not registered the vehicle in my name as of yet. However, it is due by October 26, 2013. I thought Nissan was a reliable and dependable vehicle, with my experiences and the numerous complaints, I see it is not. Consumer Affairs: This is a dangerous situation and why are you asking us to file a complaint if you are not going to force Nissan to do a recall or fix these consumers vehicles? The complaints are so similar in nature and what are you doing! Does someone have to be killed or badly injured before you force Nissan to do what is legally the right thing to do? Right now, my confidence level is not high at all for Nissan or Consumer Affairs. We are hard working individuals and cannot afford these repairs and car payments. The consumers are counting on you to force Nissan to be liable for these defects.

I am the owner of a 2013 Nissan Rogue S AWD Special Edition. Prior to this vehicle I have bought Two and Leased Two, and believe me there is No Loyalty from this company. My complaint with Nissan is - on Sept. 2014 I brought my car to the Dealer MLG #34,387 Newburgh Nissan NY for CVT transmission problems. Whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway, very dangerous. They found an ABS code C1106. Had no problem until April 2015 and it happened again, whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway. So I brought it back to the Dealer MLG #45,452 Newburgh Nissan NY and they could not duplicate the problem and NO codes. OK so now I called Consumer Affairs of Nissan and I received a return call from ** (615) 725-7592 who gave my a REF. # **. Told her what was going on and she insisted that I take to a different Dealer for a Second Opinion. So thats what I did, I brought the car over to another Dealer MLG #45,963 April 2015 Middletown Nissan NY and they couldnt duplicate the problem as well and NO codes. And now to top it off, this problem its costing me money to a Rent A Car. OK So I picked up the car and on May 2, 2015 it happened again. On May 4, 2015 I had my friend hook up the scanner to check the system and found a stored code. Transmission Fault code P0744 Torque Converter ECU part # 31036-JM62A. So I brought the car back to the first Dealer Newburgh Nissan NY and thats where car is now, and they wouldnt give me a rent a car so I am stuck home. I left several messages with ** and have not received a call back. Shows you how concerned she is about this problem. I also filed 3 Vehicle Safety Complaints with Safercar, gov...

We enjoy our Nissan except that the back door has to be slammed shut or it doesnt close tightly. We like the back and the extension that comes with it. I would like to have more USB outlets though. More leg room in the back may be nice too.

I actually got a very good deal on this warranty when we bought a new Nissan Rogue in 2019. It added four years on the factory warranty. We have not used it yet but have full confidence it will be effective. As effective as the factory warranty.

I leased a brand new 2013 Nissan Altima SV a year ago (March 2013), 36 month lease, vehicle had 15 miles as a brand new lease. Gorgeous redesigned vehicle with all the bells and whistles that a consumer would really enjoy. In Feb. 2014 after an oil change at the dealer leased from, and with only 3,700 miles driven in less than a year, parked the car at a Parking Stall, in my development, car stopped, foot on the brake, while switching gears while parked and foot on the brake, while trying to shift gears from Drive to Park, car took off on its own, with an unintended acceleration and landed in the building in front of the parking spot (jumped the curb), causing an $8,000 damage to the vehicle that had no mechanical problems when purchased.Nissan Dealer when oil change, ran their inspection report and gave me a clean bill of health on this brand new car. I asked them about any recalls Nissan might have and all they said was, yes, the air bags are under recall, but you should BE FINE???? They did not have time to check they said, and when they ran their inspection report they said everything was fine...not sure how everything is fine when you only spend 15 minutes changing the oil and running inspection reports.I reported this accident to the dealer leased from and the dealer ignored me and said, we do not manufacture the vehicle. They were willing to RENT me another vehicle at $50 per day, or lease me a brand new one while I am still responsible for the lease in the malfunctioned vehicle, so they can profit from. No loaner offered. Reported this to Nissan Consumer Affairs, who I spent my personal time speaking with them for weeks and after several weeks of reporting this, they finally sent an investigator on 3/10, to the body shop where my vehicle is sitting not been able to repair, because Nissan Consumer Affairs was dragging their feet. Vehicle inspected for several hours on 3/10 and the latest from Nissan Consumer Affairs, sorry we cannot do anything for you until we get a report from the Nissan Investigator in a few weeks??? In the meantime, I am responsible for paying the lease payments and Nissan Lease company, offered me on option of getting out of the lease, if I paid them $6,000 since I have the lease for two more years, and never been late in payments. I know for a fact that I did not put my foot on the accelerator, while already stopped and lost control of the vehicle like this vehicle was possessed. The insurance company, is willing to give me the payment for repairs, but Nissan with their investigations prevented this, and needless to say, I am afraid after collision repairs to drive an unsafe vehicle that malfunctioned on its own. This vehicle obviously was not safe. If one of my neighbors was walking in front of this vehicle I could have killed someone, instead this vehicle was responsible for property damage and I have been without a vehicle that I am paying for over ONE MONTH.This has not only caused me time off work, medical bills for a head injury I did not know I had during this impact, but still have no solution and Nissan Consumer affairs seems too busy with other issues to worry about one more consumer complaining. If I was dead perhaps a better investigation will have taken place. How many other incidents have not been reported.

Factory reps, dealers and service reps could give a ** about the owners of their cars. I have problems I want to get resolved. I have already given a dealer over $5000 for repairs. And its all the same all over. I will not pay for another repair that I already paid for. This is crap. Nissan better step up and take care of this. Toyota got beaten to death. What is the matter with these people? Are you too good for this? This is bad customer service with a pissed off owner. Help if you can. Thanks.

I own a 2007 Xterra 4X4. I had to replace the rear wheel axle twice! The first time at around 34000 miles and Nissan replaced it under warranty. The 2nd time it happened at around 60,000. Nissan was of no help and it cost me almost $3,000. The vehicle was in the shop for 6 weeks, while I was waiting on Nissan to respond to my complain. To top it off, when I picked up my Xterra after Kraft Nissan installed the new axle, the mechanic forgot to release the brakes (axle comes complete with new brakes) and they started smoking and I had to return to the shop!!! Nissan will not stand behind their product. My husband drives a Nissan Frontier and his transmission had to be replaced twice. I will never again purchase a Nissan Product.

******************************************************************************************************** Published on other sites: https://www.yelp.com/biz/nissan-of-queens-service-ozone-park ********************************************************************************************************I have been taking my 2014 Platinum pathfinder since August 2017 for issues with the vehicle jerking and giving trouble to start. I was told the pulley kit needed to be changed. The following week the suv would not turn on,once it was on the engine light came on. I took the truck to Nissan of Queens , left the truck there for 2 weeks till the transmission came in. When i got my vehicle back i saw my push bar was dented on the passenger side. I took the vehicle back on Monday because it was picked it up while they were closing up so rushing it was not noticed until i got home. The manager Ravi said they were not responsible for the dent. ( My vehicle is always parked in a private driveway and did not have any dents on it) . I called another manager there Sando about 6 times left messages till now i never got a call back. I took my truck back the following week Sept 6th for jerking issues and i saw now they take pictures of each vehicle that goes in for service. They told me they cannot find anything wrong so i contacted consumer affairs. After calling them 3 times i finally got an appt for 10/4/17 . I met with the consumer affairs and as i sat down with him he told me he was only there to discuss the truck. I then realized that the manager Ravi had briefed him on the dent on my truck which occurred on Nissan premises. He told me he would take the truck for a test drive and will let me know what the issues are once he returned. He came back and said he did not experience any issues and he couldnt do anything. I explained to him i spent over $50 K(paid off in 14 mths) on this truck which i only have 3 years now and i was having all the same issues as before. He then told me he would check the fluids after 45 mins he came back and said he found debris in the pan and he would need to order a new transmission. They gave me back my truck 10/4/17 with all the same issues. I left numerous messages for consumer affairs but have not gotten a call back as to when my transmission will be replaced. Now 10/17/17 my daughter got into a accident because when coming to a stop the truck started jerking and hit the vehicle in front of her. I left another message for consumer affairs and awaiting a call back. I am still driving a faulty vehicle and a accident occurred because the the cvt transmission jerking. This will be the 3 rd transmission in 3 mths. Nissan should not be selling vehicles with faulty transmission.

I believe the problem starts with Nissan in the first place. I honestly think that they feel they are too big for their britches. It is my opinion that the local Nissan trained dealership really doesnt care about the customer and refused to address issues that popped up in my particular case. To ignore the problem from my impression is to get rid of the customer. After dealing with them for 9 solid years they display a total lack of Customer Care. I think they only want the rich customers and if you are at the Altima level... Dont bother us!!! My immediate solution is to go directly... and test drive a KIA where the dealership treats you like a valued client and provides a Superior, Efficient and Reliable mode of transport.

I wouldnt give this company one star. My story is far too long and complicated to type out here. I warn anyone and everyone to steer clear of any Nissan product. Youll be so sorry if you do. Buy anything but a Nissan. I am still fighting with them 3 1/2 years later over a leased Altima that was a lemon from almost the beginning. They couldnt care less! Consequences? I wont even go there!

We ask the salesman for a truck so we could have a tow pkg. He brought us a car and said that it could tow and he would have the tow pkg put on and give us extra money besides. He said the car had around 100,000 miles. That was where my husband and I failed. Not expecting liars for salesman. Older bald man, I don’t know his name. He will lie and tell anything, use pressure tactics won’t even try to find what youre really looking for. After the papers were signed he said oh we can’t do that. We went back the next morning to take the car back and to talk to the Mgr he said forget yesterday, I didn’t want to forget the day before cause I lost money. He said pick something else. I had to get something else and got less trade in and lost more money. The Mgr stuck with his salesman’s lies. I’m very hurt financially I traded a Toyota that was worth more by far. I’m very hurt and angry that this is their policy for selling cars.

I have a case # **. I have bought a lot of cars in the past, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi. I bought a Nissan Sentra because of their reputation. I am very dissatisfied. I do not believe I would be buying another Nissan in the future. I have taken the car back 6 times for the same problem, cracking noise in dashboard. They said they fix it and a week later, it starts again. This time, I am very upset, I took the car to Lake Nissan in Leesburg, FL. I am staying in Orlando for a while. They told me they replaced a broken clip. When I picked up the car, they put some kind of foam around front of dashboard. The foam is sticking out. It does not look very nice. They DID not put paper on floor to work on the car. This is the 6th time I take it to a dealer. I bought a new car not to have issues and this is awful. When I went to the dealership at Lake Nissan in Leesburg, they were trying to get me a new car and get rid of my car, but of course I would lose a lot of money. I was willing to do that if I would just lose $1,000.00 but not $4,000.00. They were very persistent to me leasing a car. I had two employees come and talk to me about it. I feel that they were upset, because like I mention before, they really DID not do a good job on the car. I contacted the state consumer affairs. I do not know what else to do. I am so dissatisfied with Nissan. Like I mentioned before, I would not buy another car from Nissan again.

I took my 2008 Nissan Rogue to get new tires. When the tire shop took the old tires off, they discovered that the tire pressure sensors were corroded and loose and couldnt be tightened. Their policy is that they cant replace the tires without replacing the sensors because that would be disabling a safety feature. So, I had them replace the two worst sensors at a cost of $300.00, more than the cost of two tires, and put the new tires on. The other two sensors were corroded also, but they could still be tightened. Upon leaving the store, I went to the Nissan dealer to see if I could get some compensation for this because the car was only 4 years old with 59,000 miles. I was told that I couldnt because the work was done somewhere besides the dealer. I had no choice but to get the work done by the tire shop because they couldnt send the car out the door with the safety feature disabled. Next I went to a Consumer Affairs website and found out that there was a recall on 2008 Nissan Rogues for said tire pressure sensors. The service manager at the Nissan dealer never mentioned this recall. I then called Ken **, the GM at the Nissan dealer, explained the situation and mentioned that I knew about the recall. At this point, he said the recall was VIN specific and that my vehicle was not covered. Obviously, if my vehicle isnt covered, it should be because the problem is the same as the one covered by the recall. Shouldnt I be compensated for the cost of the sensors and have the other two replaced at no cost?

I purchased a New 2016 Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it on December 13, 2017
I purchased a New 2016 Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it on December 13, 2017 from Clay Cooley Nissan in Irving Tx, 3-4 months into the purchase I start having an issue. While driving the O/D light comes on by itself, the RPMs rise, the car revs high and drives rough. I have read it is a possible transmission or computer problem. I have taken the car to the original dealership of purchase and another one to get checked out. They both claim they have driven the car, hooked it up to their machines and dont see the error. But as soon as I get the car back the issue repeats itself. They told me I need to bring the car to them when it happens which is hard because it happens at random on my way to work, school, and other daily activities. The dealerships are either too far to make it or outside of normal business hours.I complained and reached the sales manager J **. He prompted me to come down and they would trade me out of the vehicle into a new one and keep my payments the same! A complete LIE, I get there and they pump me up, “This is going to be painless. We will get you in & out,” and start asking me for a money for a down payment and try and put me in an Altima which is not what I purchased originally. After getting upset, I leave in the same messed up car. NO HELP. Just a full tank of gas and one of the managers says, “Well the car still drives so just keep driving it and when the error happens switch the gear. Itll go off.” So he wants me to pay for a car that is clearly giving me trouble and just drive it and jerk it around and keep rolling! Then says drop it off at service when I just picked the car up. How many times do I have to leave the car and be without a car to drive? I am disgusted and disappointed by the service I have received. This was my first time treating myself to a NEW car and it was a complete mistake. I hate Nissan. The car still has the issue, nothing resolved.

Back on April 25th 2020 I traded in my Nissan Rogue sport at rt 46 nissan in Totowa nj. I leased an Altima. I find out at the end of October that the paperwork was not done and they say I am delinquent on my rogue. I have been going back and forth with the dealership and nissan corp for 2 months. They have destroyed mine and my wifes credit and it is December 29th and the problem is still going on. I will never buy a nissan again and I wish I could get rid of the one that I have now. If anybody needs a new vehicle I would not suggest 46 nissan or nissan corp at all.

First of all, thank you for your time in reading my complaint. I am contacting you for help with my 2010 Nissan Sentra. I have been denied coverage on my car with my Nissan Extended Gold Preferred Plus Warranty, and I tried to appeal it through Nissan Consumer Affairs as well. I have exhausted all measures in getting my car repaired through Empire Nissan Lakewood. My Piston Rod went through the Block of my Engine on 6th Avenue. I had the oil changed on 1/17/2017, but that was not the cause to my Engine to blow. Shell Rapid Lube Oil keeps records of all service by Camera and has reviewed the complete service by tape on my car. They are willing to provide that information to legal counsel. My car was purchased on March of 2010. At that time, we purchased a Nissan Extended Gold Preferred Plus Warranty which is good until March 2017 of this year. My maintenance records for 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 were completed at Go Nissan Southwest which is now Larry Miller Nissan in Littleton, Colorado. 12/21/2014 I have records from Firestone that I had an oil change, new tires, and a battery purchase. Mileage on the car at that time was 27,089. 2/20/2015 I have records of all the service I had done at Empire Lakewood Nissan. I would like to point out at that time on page 3 it states I had a possible oil leak, and they resealed the oil pan under my Security Plus Warranty. On page 4 they stated I needed another oil change which is a requirement when repairing an oil pan, but failed to list they did the oil change and stated I declined it. They are stating it is an error they did not list it on my paperwork, and can’t tell me if the used my old oil since it was just changed 12/21/2014, or if they put in new oil. Clearly, a problem they will not address. Mileage on the car at that time was 27,949. Why would I decline an oil change? It should be procedure to change the oil be changes when you repair a leak in an oil pan. What oil did they use? How did they make this repair without completing an oil change? 1/17/2017 My record of oil change at Shell Rapid Lube. Mileage at that time 31,740. As you can see I have kept up with the maintenance on this car since purchase. I am self-employed, and work from and this is why the mileage is slow low on this car. Example: From 12/21/2014-2/20/2015 I put 860 miles on my car. From 2/20/2015-1/17/2017 I put 3,790 miles on my car. I have 2 tow bills which Nissan will not pay for, and I have been declined a rental car which both are included in my Extended Nissan Extended Plus Warranty. Since the purchase of my car in March of 2010 to date, and put an average of $4,535 miles on my car per year. Again, I have all records of maintenance, and oil changes for this car. I have filed complaints with the BBB of TN, BBB of Colorado, Nissan Consumer Affairs, and the Federal Trade Commission. My response from Nissan Extended Warranty Gold preferred is that they will not cover the rebuild of my Engine due to an after market oil change. Nissan is irresponsible, and dishonest. They do not back their cars, and sell warranties at the time of purchase that do not back their vehicles, and repairs. I have had a major mechanical problem with this car, and NISSAN SIMPLY PUT DOES NOT CARE.

Overall experience of buying car was ok. When we were checking out the new car, I noticed dust in the engine compartment and requested that they wipe it clean. The salesman promised that they will take care of this during the detailing process. I did not check when I took the possession and later found out that it was never done. I emailed him with no response, meanwhile he keeps sending me emails about giving them a positive review. They gave me one wrong key for the car. I am trying to contact them to fix the key issue, NO response back from the dealer for over a week. Still waiting. Opened a case with Nissan Customer Service. Took them over 10 days to respond to say that they cannot do anything about this. Only thing I can do is take it to the dealership to evaluate the issue. Dealership is 100 miles away and no reimbursement of travel expenses.
