I purchased this vehicle new in 2009 and have since had 3 failures since owning this car. Nissan installed what is called an Electronic Steering Column Lock (ESCL) that is designed to help prevent theft. Unfortunately if this part fails and it will about every 50,000-60,000 miles you will be unable to start the car even though mechanically there is nothing wrong with your car. I looked up other complaints and there is over 256k complaints on this issue alone yet Nissan will not back this part up. I paid to have it installed a 3rd time and was told that it was the 3rd generation on this part and that it would last but here I am 60,000 miles later and it broke again. I understand that my vehicle is 10 years old now but, I dont understand how Nissan can know that a part they make is defective and not come up with a solution or work around it leaving drivers completely stranded in a vehicle mechanically sound. The repair for this is between $800-$1,100 each time. Nissan is aware of it and stopped installing it in all Nissans and Infinitis starting in 2012 but deny the part is defective. Knowing this I cant recommend that you buy any product from Nissan as there is no guarantee that they are going to back their product up and since this is a unique part built specifically for their vehicles only in 2009-2011 there are no aftermarket parts for this. If Nissan told me upfront that hey, this is a great engine and if you maintain it this vehicle will go at least 300k miles but, there is a part on it that cant be maintained and will break every 50k miles and costs $1,000 each time to repair I never would have bought it. Ive owned 3 Nissans in my life and this will be the last one I ever buy.

Evolving Technology Poor Quality Systems - Purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue S, the 5th Nissan in our family in the past decade. While Nissan has stepped up their game in designing overall more luxurious interiors, they are now using lackluster and lower end equipment for some important features. The 2017 Rogue S back up camera lacks clarity, is murky and grainy in even moderate light settings. And in some parking lot situations, all you get is a large ball of light reflection. Nissan sent a technician out from their Plant in TN, but to our avail, all the 2017 models not use the same poor quality cameras. As the owner of model years 2011 to current I have to say this my first negative review of Nissan. I have 4 other Nissans with beautiful backup cameras in any lighting condition. If Nissan is happy with this quality reduction, we will no longer support Nissan. Time to change . While no one should rely on a backup camera, it should be as functional as one found on a 2011 or older. Technology should improve not decline with age. If they do not care about this one feature, what else might be lacking on these cars. I dont think this is a company that deserves consideration, lackluster response, and lackluster technology.

I have received poor customer service on a vehicle that has been nothing but trouble since the day I drove it off the lot. I have reached out to your department, the dealership, the warranty company (Security plus Extended Warranty) and gotten no resolution. I purchased the car in 2011 excited to have my second Nissan, my first was a Sentra back in 1988, this vehicle also had transmission issues but Nissan took care of it. I purchased the Murano along with a three thousand dollar extended gold plus warranty. I had to return the vehicle the next day because of a cracked windshield that was noticed upon my drive home. After a few days the windshield was fixed. Then the vehicle maintenance issues began. In review of my records I note that my car has spent at least 30 days in the shop getting fixed. I have missed a total of 40 hours of work on the phone with the warranty company, the dealership, consumer affairs and driving back and forth to the dealership. (dealership is in Costa Mesa and I work in Chino Hills and live in Brea) not to mention the gas I spent going back and forth and the pure stress of having to fix my car over and over again never feeling secure to drive it other than to work and back.I have attached a copy of proof that 3 different transmissions were put into this car and that multiple major items have had to be replaced, most recently the radiator which happened at night and I was not near a dealership and had to pay 900.00 dollars out of pocket to get fixed. I am still waiting for the warranty company to get back to me on this but from my previous experience I am not hopeful. The biggest disappointment came when my car had spent over 2 weeks in the repair shop having the entire engine rebuilt, transmission issues etc. and only after a couple weeks the vehicle began to have new issues, I took the vehicle to the dealership and they said it was the catalytic converter. I called the warranty company and was told by two representatives that this was a covered item. The dealership reported that it was not covered, which made no sense. I then contacted the warranty company again and they had a specialist review the issue. I was informed the catalytic converter was covered if it was welded on the vehicle but not if it was bolted and mine was bolted. This is absurd. How the company chooses to make it should not be the customers issue. This is a Nissan issue. Not to mention knowing that the vehicle had previously had so many serious problems how could they not correct this? That is just poor customer care! I filed a complaint with your consumer affairs department because I no longer wanted the vehicle and it was clear that the vehicle is a lemon and I could not afford to fix the catalytic converter. I had already paid too much for the car to begin with. I was informed that it did not qualify for the lemon law and there was nothing they would do. They mentioned something about it needing to have had more than one transmission replacement. I couldnt believe it. It was obvious Nissan did not care about their customers or their reputation and that they did not do their research because it had had more than one transmission issue.I used Yelp, Facebook and Twitter to express my justified dissatisfaction and was contacted by the Dealership but still nothing was done to correct the issue. The cooperate offices were aware of these issues and my dissatisfaction and still no one did anything to correct the problem. I am left with a broken vehicle which I cannot get rid of because I am paying for an extended warranty that will not help me. I am upside down, paying almost 500 dollars a month on a car I am afraid to drive. This is no longer a vehicle problem but an actual safety concern.A few weeks after the catalytic converter issue I was driving down a main hwy and the car stopped, the radiator was shot and the car was overheating, no warning at all. I was able to get help and pull it into a repair shop. The vehicle was fixed for 900.00 dollars, money I did not have. I was left with no car, stranded at night and for the next two days. Now just a month later the car is making another strange noise and I have issues with the steering. (the steering being something that was a problem before) I return again to the Costa Mesa Dealership where the maintenance supervisor sits with me and reviews my entire record. I explain my frustrations and he agrees to look at the car. I am waiting now to find out what is wrong but at this point I cannot pay to have it fixed and I do not want the vehicle. I should not have to roll the upside down amount into another car and I should not have to pay for the radiator or the extended warranty that did not cover everything as I was told at the time that it would. The exact words of the dealership were if you get this warranty it WILL COVER EVERYTHING but for regular items such as brakes, tires, oil changes. Apparently that is not true.I take my car in every 3,000 miles an oil change, I even use upgraded oil. I have tires rotated, I keep it clean and I drive it with care but it doesnt matter the car just doesnt run properly. Please review the service receipts and tell me how this issue can be resolved? I do not want this car any longer and I do not feel safe driving it. I want to be reimbursed for the warranty and the radiator, and I want the vehicle gone. I will be happy to purchase another vehicle from a NISSAN dealership but I do not want to be penalized for the issues with this car. In other words I still owe 11,000 (3,000 is the warranty) and the car is not worth that, this is not my fault and I should not be penalized for it.The bigger issue is that Nissan is showing that they do not care about their customers safety or the quality of their vehicles. When will Nissan correct this issue? When the car stops on the freeway because of another problem and I killed in an accident? I cant imagine that a company is that greedy and has that type of customer relations. Although it appears at this point that is accurate. I am hoping that this issue can be resolved and that I can once again take to the road in a safe vehicle. Thank you.

I had the opportunity to buy a vehicle brand new. I choose a 2004 Nissan Titian! I love this truck. I have taken pride in caring for my truck. I bought the LE Crew Cab in wonderful green color brand new off the floor in 2004 from Coast Nissan in San Luis Obispo. There has been a huge issue that started a year after I bought the truck. The clear coat is coming off the roof of the vehicle and the hood. I have paid for the truck to be waxed, clayed, and restored over the years trying not to pay for the whole truck to be repainted. Although, I have taken many steps to preserve and protect the paint, it’s not! Note that there was another issue with the extras that come with the LE model, heated seats. The driver’s seat almost caught fire and the dealer made me pay for the replacement stating it was my responsibility. I was the one that wanted them. I don’t think I fully understand how Nissan won’t take responsibility for a defective product that could have caused harm or destroyed the vehicle entirely. It is a standard upgrade that comes in the LE model and it is not a customer requested extra! I am writing this just to spread the word about Nissan faulty paint and unaccountable customer care. Although, fixing the paint would be the right thing to do!

Purchased a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum brand new. Has 24K miles on it and all 4 tires are bald. My wife has hydroplaned with our 16 month old and our 4 month old in the car and almost crashed. We had to stop driving it. At first we thought that Bridgestone would be responsible but after talking to them we found that they do not offer a tire warranty on OEM tires. This is because the manufacturer, Nissan in this case, sets the specifications by which the tire is to be made. They spec soft rubber on OEM tires in order to get a softer ride and better gas mileage etc. So they are made by the tire manufacturer but to the specs that Nissan sets. In these types of agreements between car manufacturers and tire manufacturers the tire company offers no warranty on the tires because they know the rubber specs that car manufacturers set is inferior. Nissan buys poor quality tires with a name brand on them at dirt cheap prices, put them on all their cars and neither company takes any responsibility for the poor product. We have talked with Nissan consumer affairs until we are blue in the face and they will not lift a finger to help. They did not even offer to try to help us work with Bridgestone or our dealership to get a discount on new tires. They have literally offered no kind of help at all. Nissan designed the rubber compound, Nissan put them on their cars and passed them off as high quality, and Nissan should stand behind everything they put on their cars. Especially when they are directly responsible for the design and performance. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM NISSAN!

I own a Nissan Juke MY 2013, mileage of 67,000 km, ever since I purchased the car and I am complaining that it is not giving the full power even when I press on the pedal. I have missed the service for 10.000 km back in 2015 and when I visited them in December 2016 I asked them to do the major service and repair whatever is in the car. Everything went smooth, no issues in the car and I took it back. On July 19th 2016 I took the car there for a quick service and complained about the same issue. (Car doesnt give full power.) They got back to me with the fact that the CVT assembly have an internal defect and that my warranty will not cover it because of the missed service.I work for one of the biggest automotive companies as a Warranty specialist in the middle east office which means I know my rights and the customers right. This of course raised many questions: When I bought the car from Al Rostamani I was informed that the car comes with 5 years warranty / 100 km. Apparently the car comes with 3 years only and the other two years are insurance warranty. (Dubai insurance.) I did NOT receive or signed any legal; document which shows me the terms and conditions of this insurance warranty, only the terms and conditions in the service booklet which obviously doesnt say: Your warranty will be void if you missed a service.I asked the service advisor in Dubai: Did it fail due to low amount of transmission oil? NO. Did you find any metal particles in the transmission oil or the oil was burned? NO. And since they cannot disassemble the transmission, then how did they know that it was misused!!! The middle east office offered 75% coverage on the repair. And I do appreciate it but: legally speaking, is it fair to charge the customer for a product defect, the missed service have no direct impact on the damage, if it did then it would fail in December when I got the car there for a full check. I am completely disappointed in how they are marketing for these 5 years warranty just to increase their sales. I am definitely raising this to the consumer protection, as soon as I receive an official letter from the dealer in Dubai and Nissan middle east providing me with the T&C of my warranty and a valid reason on why the repair is not covered.

Some of you may know, but most of you may not, that I purchased a Nissan Altima October of last year. Ive always driven Hondas, but thought Id give something else a try. NEVER AGAIN. Firstly, I purchased from Hoffman Nissan and perhaps that was my first big mistake. The finance department gave me financing and three weeks later I found out I did not qualify for the financing they set me up with. Secondly, I purchased the car contingent upon a rattle in the roof being fixed. The roof still rattles, and Nissan told me that it just is that way. Most recently, three weeks ago, Joe was driving the car home from the gym getting on an on ramp to Route 8 at 25 - 35 miles an hour when the hood flew up and into the windshield, which, thank God did not cause an accident. This caused major damage to both fenders. I first brought the car back to Hoffman Nissan, as there was an active recall for this very thing, but for which my VIN did not qualify. Hoffman told me that it looked like someone left a screwdriver in the hood, and that it was bent. Couldnt it have been bent from FLYING UP ON WHILE IN MOTION?? They then handed me a $2,200 quote to fix it and told me to go through insurance. Long story short, after 2 weeks of conversation with Nissan corporate, they told me today that they will not fix my car and if I wish to have it fixed it will need to go through insurance or out of pocket. I am appalled that Nissan does not want to stand by their manufacturing and fix this issue. Im disgusted with their business practices, and can safely say my experience with both Nissan and Hoffman Nissan in Avon, CT, have been the worst business experiences Ive endured, especially with so much money at stake.

I have a case # **. I have bought a lot of cars in the past, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi. I bought a Nissan Sentra because of their reputation. I am very dissatisfied. I do not believe I would be buying another Nissan in the future. I have taken the car back 6 times for the same problem, cracking noise in dashboard. They said they fix it and a week later, it starts again. This time, I am very upset, I took the car to Lake Nissan in Leesburg, FL. I am staying in Orlando for a while. They told me they replaced a broken clip. When I picked up the car, they put some kind of foam around front of dashboard. The foam is sticking out. It does not look very nice. They DID not put paper on floor to work on the car. This is the 6th time I take it to a dealer. I bought a new car not to have issues and this is awful. When I went to the dealership at Lake Nissan in Leesburg, they were trying to get me a new car and get rid of my car, but of course I would lose a lot of money. I was willing to do that if I would just lose $1,000.00 but not $4,000.00. They were very persistent to me leasing a car. I had two employees come and talk to me about it. I feel that they were upset, because like I mention before, they really DID not do a good job on the car. I contacted the state consumer affairs. I do not know what else to do. I am so dissatisfied with Nissan. Like I mentioned before, I would not buy another car from Nissan again.

2014 Altima SL V6 - New transmission at 11k still has issues. They will tell you they dont have a problem with transmissions but mine shutters at 20-30 and 57-70, very disappointed in Nissan! Offered to let CEO wife drive it for a week or even a engineer or their vendor who makes transmission! 22k and its a lemon! Also own a 2015 Pathfinder! 1k miles transmission shudders. Now 8k miles and will be trading it in on another brand. 2012 Nissan Altima, purchased new, runs like a new one! 100k miles. 1999 Nissan Altima 96k miles runs great! So if you can see, they have a transmission problem and are only replacing if it sets off a code! So the shudder is a normal feature they should advertise in their commercials. Stay away from brand until they get issues fixed! Im done with Nissan.

I was three months away from returning my Nissan lease and wanted to go into another lease without any interruption. The Hyundai Sonata caught my eye and decided to go to my local dealer. There I spoke with Kevin ** and informed him that I was interested in a Sonata and that I also had three months left on my Nissan lease. After going back and forth with the numbers and his manager and agreeing that the dealership would pick up my last three months, we shook hands and the deal was complete. I gave Kevin my account number with Nissan so he could call and take care of the particulars. I left my deposit and was told to come back the following week to pick up my new lease. After two months, I received notification from Nissan that the monthly note was not paid. I called to speak with the finance person who pawned me off to Kenton **. After telling Kenton what happened, he informed me that it wasnt in my file. I told him that Kevin ** wrote it in his notes and he should talk to him. After chasing Kenton numerous times as he would never return my phone calls, I finally spoke to him and he told me that the check went out on May 12 and Nissan would get it by that Monday. I called Nissan three days after and they never received such payment. Two days later, I get a phone call from a collection agency stating that Im in collection for three months past due payments ($1,050). Kenton flat out lied to me and he nor his manager had no intentions on honoring what salesman Kevin ** promised. My husband actually went to speak to Kenton and he said that the best he could do was pay for half and I agreed to that. He didnt even honor that. He kept saying his manager was out and he hasnt gotten a chance to finalize; it was a lie.I sent a certified registered letter to the owner of the dealership Jim ** on July 16th asking him to follow up and get in touch with me. It is now Aug. 18th and I never received the receipt from the post office with his signature. This lets me know that he, along with his employees, practice unethical ways. As the owner of this dealership, he should have at least called me but he never did. I have been a loyal Nissan customer for over 12 years and decided to venture out and try something different. Premium Nissan of New Rochelle staff honor what they say they would do and I never had any problems whatsoever. Why did I give my business to a dealership that couldnt care less about customer satisfaction as long as they get the sale?

In March of 2012, I purchased a new 2012 Nissan Versa sedan. I paid cash for it. In September 2012, I struck a deer while driving. My insurance company and body shop determined just over $7,000 in damage, not totaling the car. Within two weeks, the body shop had completed all repairs except replacing the backseat, which had been ordered from Nissan shortly after the accident. The body shop and I have been in constant contact with Nissan trying to get an estimated date of arrival on the seat. Nissan has no information except that the seat has been ordered. It has now been almost 8 weeks that I have been without my vehicle. The insurance only covered the expense of a rental car for 30 days. I was told by Nissan to contact Consumer Affairs regarding this matter.

We bought a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder on January 1st, 2014. It was brand new and had been driven, but you could see that the sunroof had something wrong with it because there were water stains on the inside and since it was the panoramic sunroof that does not open, there was definitely an issue with it. The dealership assured us that they would fix it before we drove it off the lot. We trusted that when we finally were able to take it home that it was fixed right and would last. Fast forward 5 years and now it is rusting all around the sunroof and we have been told that the entire roof needs to be replaced. This is a 5 year old vehicle that has no rust anywhere else and has been garage kept for the majority of the time we have owned it. I spoke to Nissan consumer affairs and after going through all their hoops for a diagnostic, they informed me today that they would not be financially assisting me in fixing an issue that is clearly their fault. It may have taken five years to surface but I should not have to pay almost half of what the vehicle is worth to fix a rust issue that was caused by their repair job. Its a disgrace and although this is my fourth Nissan and I have been happy with this Pathfinder I will never buy another Nissan. I cannot believe how they treat their customers when there is a problem. They are awful. Stay away!

And they cant be rebuilt, you have to buy a new one directly from Nissan... $4,100 later my air conditioner goes out the next week. 2012 Nissan Rogue S AWD, with a CVT. 2015 Oct, I purchased the vehicle use with 96K miles, still within the bumper to bumper warranty (different owner). 2 Weeks after purchase during an attempt to vacation, we arrive in St. George with a smoking engine compartment and loss of fluids. The transmission blew due to it overheating. It over heating due to the poorly manufactured cooling portion of the CVT. Which resulting in the transmission being overheated and blown. The Nissan Dealer in St. George charged my purchased extended warranty for the replacement. Not the extended manufacture warranty it should have been covered under still. $4,600 total - $480 out of pocket.June 6th, 2017. (1.5 years later, 7 months outside of warranty and 124,500 miles) Traveling to Grand Junction. Vehicle started mimicking similar issues as prior. Had to replace the cooling portion of the unit. They upgraded it to the better version (the external cooler) that would prevent the transmission from over heating. $1,000 total $160 out of pocket. (Thank goodness for my extended warranty AGAIN). July 7th, 2018. 1 month outside of warranty for the external cooler and 136,907 miles. Traveling to Twin Falls. Same issues start occurring. AGAIN. Took to the dealership on 7/9 where I was advised that my transmission had went into fail safe mode 111 times. Leading to need to replace the transmission once again due to the external cooler not doing its job once again.I have contact Nissan Consumer Affairs, I opened a case which went to review. Subsequently being denied for Goodwill Assistance on 7/10 at 5:20 PM for assistance on another $5,000 repair due to defective manufacturing due to the vehicle being outside of the 60,000 mile manufacture warranty. I was very friendly offered the opportunity to purchase another vehicle from Nissan though. I THINK NOT! Nissan, it is time for you to own up to your defective vehicles and repair them at your cost since there are so many of these that are occurring with the same issue! My Terrano 11s alternator went down and so I contacted my local garage who after ringing round said that the part would cost a massive £130-00 inc VAT. The part would take a couple of days as this was a Friday. I thought that I would also try to see if I could speed things up a little by contacting my local Nissan dealer, Nissan Bradford (Bristol St Motors), they also said that it would take a few days and the cost would be ONLY £1300-00, yes £1300-00. When I complained all I got was that Nissan set the cost and thats all there was to it. Is it that the warranty was different? NO. Both had 1 years warranty. Is the Nissan part made of Gold? No. It is in my opinion that They are BOTH profiteering.

I brought a New Leaf on 2nd May 2014. This car is supposed to go 170 Km on a full Battery Charge. My new car will only do 90 to 100 Kms. on a full charge. It has been back to the dealer 3 times for repair. The Head Office of Nissan will not honor the Warranty, as they say there is nothing wrong with the batteries. Their Sales Booklet and internet says should get 170 kms on a full charge. I paid $39,000 cash and would like my money refunded. Head Office in Melbourne WILL NOT CHANGE THE BATTERIES.This car does not perform to what is printed in the Booklet. This car was made in April 2012. Held in storage at Brisbane until sold. The Batteries are 2 Years old when it was delivered to me 4th June 2014. Compliance Plate was Dated May 2014, but the car was over 2 years old then. I expected to buy a 2014 produced Car not a 2 year old one. If then it is sold next year it will say it is 3 year old. I consider that it is false sales to me [not a 2014 model car]. I think Nissan Australia should take the back and Refund me my money.

I hate my 2007 nissan sentra so much. It started with transmission problems. I had to get a new transmission for which they paid for. Second the axle broke in front. How can an axle break after only 50,000 miles. The dealer accused me of hitting someone. The front in of the car was not damaged. I DID not hit anyone. They would not cover this. My car constantly makes a loud wailing noise. This was all within a year of buying the car. Would never buy a nissan again!!!

Bought my 2012 Nissan Juke brand new and have had top notch maintenance (ie required oil changes, transmission fluid change, filter changes, etc.) at the same and only licensed Nissan dealer. The recall in 2014 of the Nissan Juke timing chain prompted me to take it in and get it fixed (although I was having no problems) -- I had approximately 36,000 miles on it then. Now, 56,000 miles later, I am at 92,000 miles and have been hearing a noise coming from under the hood. Took it to the same dealer and lo and behold... Its the timing chain. Nissan consumer affairs feels like theyre doing me a favor by covering ONLY the parts for this ($485.00) and Im suppose to fork over the remaining $1200.00 for labor. Really Nissan? They say my car is out of warranty. This has absolutely nothing to do with warranty. First, my car has had top notch maintenance with documented proof at the dealership. Second, the elephant in the room is the fact that Nissan refuses to take responsibility that this is a premature failure of the timing chain they put in 56,000 miles ago. This will be the first and last Nissan I ever purchase. How sad, a multi-million dollar company cant afford to please a customer and do the right thing by standing behind their parts. Goodbye Nissan, youve lost me as a future buyer. Shame on you.

Purchase two brand new Nissans back in 2013, a Nissan Pulsar and Nissan Qashqai, both with CVTs. Our Nissan Pulsar blew its transmission at 30,000 KLMS. Our Nissan Qashqai has blown 2 transmissions and now on its third, car has only done 75,000 KLMS! These transmissions are absolutely and utterly unreliable and I will (a) never purchase a Nissan vehicle and (b) never a vehicle with a CVT Transmission. On top of this here in Australia we dont get the 10 year warranty or any other transmission warranty on top of our standard vehicle warranty. At least you guys in the US get an additional warranty but from the reviews online its only a security blanket, it doesnt solve the problems at hand with these transmissions. Dont buy a Nissan vehicle! Their techs are utterly useless and they do not stand behind their product!

2012 Nissan Versa with just over 81,000 miles. Took it to a local shop and they said the transmission is toast. Local dealer charged 0 dollars to analyze and realize the transmission is no good. Since the repair of $4.0K will cost more than the value of the car, Im going to junk it and try to get as much money back on the $16K that I paid. I cant believe that a car that is not even 5 years old has a transmission failure! Now that I have done some online research, I am seeing that this is a rather common event for the 2012 Nissan Versa. So why is Nissan not stepping up to the plate and doing something about this? I will never buy a Nissan again and will tell everyone I know about this issue and how Nissan DID NOT back their product.

I like the computer system that lets you know when it is service time. I also like the way my plan is set up, the mileage that I get, the attitudes for the workers that is provided when servicing the car and the service that they supply. However, I dislike the way the system is set up for more payment when something breaks on the car, having to put more warranty on the car and the warranty that comes with the brand new cars, and the price of the tires. Sucks and will never buy another Nissan for the rest of my living life. Bad experience from customer service to corporate office. This all started when I took my Nissan to my local Nissan dealer and nothing is ever cover under warranty meanwhile I have warranty for the next 10 years or 100 mile bumper to bumper that I bought through Nissan themselves. My car is 2 years old with 25,000 miles and my headlights are starting to peel which means The car is very hard to drive at night time. Sometimes I feel that I might get into a car accident and Nissan did nothing for me. They just say, “Sorry you’re screwed. If you want new headlights you have to pay out-of-pocket.” Always trying to make the customer pay. My question is what kind of products are theyre making that does not even last two years? That’s the problem. My case number is **. P.S. Denis Le Vot sir with all respect your company needs to make better products and treat better the customers because you just lost one of them. Maybe it’s not gonna hurt anything but is not going to hurt me anymore. Thanks.

I leased a 2014 Nissan Maxima in June 2014. The automobile has only 18,000 miles on it. In the last 40 days, it has been in the shop 4 times. First time, the servicing dealer said it was an O2 sensor. Second time, I was told it was the REAR-END O2 sensor. Third time, they kept the car 5 days and couldnt find the problem, so they replaced the wiring harness. Fourth time, the gauge cluster (display) went completely black, and when I took it in to get it fixed, rotate tires and change my oil, they found a front axle leaking oil. I talked to my servicing dealer about trading out of the lease, and they told me the value of the vehicle had dropped in HALF in ONE year, leaving me with no option to trade out. I then contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs to discuss being released from my lease. They drug the process out over a month, hoping I would go away. I continued to pursue them via daily telephone calls. They sporadically returned my calls, using my cell phone, rather than my preferred number at work, thus avoiding direct contact with me. They had indicated they were reviewing my complaint and would have a response by Monday. They notified me today they are only willing to provide me a two-year maintenance plan, but nothing further. THIS CAR IS A LEMON. I recommend NO ONE purchase a new Nissan with this buy the car, but forget servicing the customer after the sale attitude. I have always been a fan of Nissan - purchased many vehicles in the past, and strongly recommended their product to many of my friends. I am sorry to say I have lost all confidence and URGE anyone to live under the BUYER BEWARE philosophy.

Cliff notes: No email available to communicate with the corporate office concerning warranty work. You have to use a call center that is slow, cumbersome, and not proactive. Wish we would have stuck with purchasing tried and true Chevy C2500, Ford F250, or RAM 2500 diesels. We purchased a 2018 Titan XD Pro4X (Diesel) truck for our small construction company. The specs matched our needs though the reviews were not as strong as we would have liked the price was appealing and the reviews were not terrible. The size was more comfortable than the C2500 and F250 we have in service. At 30K miles we received both ABS and 4WD warnings after traveling 300+ miles that day. The engine was fine just no 4wd or cruise control. The dealership advised we were fine to continue our trip and to come in when back in town or we could go to another dealership near us if time allowed. Over night the error reset. The dealer said to bring it in when back in town the computer would let them know what need to be repaired on the drive train. On our return trip the error happened again at around 350 miles and again over night it reset and was fine. The trip to the dealership was inconclusive and I was advise to drive around until the error happened again even though that might be over 300+ miles as 5 things might be causing the problem and they could not test each of those components to rule them out. That effort was too intense for them. Thus the call to corporate to report the dealer would not take action on what my local mechanic found on his diagnosis machine. What a run around. The non dealer shop received the P1819 Shift ACT CIR Malfunction detected in the transfer motor circuit error and advised that should be too touch for a certified mechanic to figure out. Finally I have convince the dealership they needed to do more for me and they are taking the truck back in and are prepared to trace back the error and replace the transfer case in the event it is the culprit. This was after I paid our local mechanic to diagnosis the problem and the local service manager had twice refused to perform further repairs until the truck failed again. The only response I can get from Corporate Nissan is to call them. When calling I am referred back to the dealer and am told they have no access to the dealerships efforts though we have Nissan Connect which reads what maintenance and system status in on the truck. Shame on us for choosing Nissan.

After taking very good care of my 2008 Nissan Altima, I reached the end date of my lease and returned the car to the dealership from whom I took out the original lease agreement, Bridgewater Nissan in Bridgewater New Jersey. The dealer accepted my car and I moved on. Then, I received a letter from NMAC telling me that I owed Nissan $2,167.61! The letter stated that due to Excess Wear And Use, they were assessing me this fee. Now, so as to avoid the appearance of editorializing, heres a few facts on what really happened: 1) I was not present when the actual inspection was done; 2) I took great care of the car during the time I leased (e.g. always garaged) and I put 4 brand new tires on before I turned it in and 3) there is no way of knowing how NMAC arrived at the charges listed on the letter. The only conclusion one can draw is that (as others on this site have asserted), this is simply a way for Nissan to create new revenue streams during a time when American cars are in the ascendancy. So, lesson learned - from now on, I will only be buying/leasing vehicles from reputable sources such as Ford and GM and not from duplistic makers such as Nissan!

In the past, I have owned two Nissan cars, a 1992 Sentra and a 2004 Murano, both paid in full. Well, in 2012, the transfer case/transmission went out on my Murano and the cost to get it repaired was going to be over $3,500 plus labor. Because of lack of income and I just started to work as a caretaker, I could not afford to get it repaired at that time (I loved my Murano). I had to check online and found there are so many people that had problems with the transfer case on their Murano (I do not know why Nissan has never done a recall). Since October 2012, I have been renting a car at Enterprise, which I was paying over $1,081.00 a month. So if you do the math, I have been giving Enterprise, over $8,600 for the last 8 months. So, I had been praying about what to do and since I was paying this money every month, I thought I would try to go to Nissan dealership in Victorville, California to see if they would help me get a used car. I was looking around and a salesperson asked me if I needed any help, I told him that I was looking for a used car. I explained to him my financial situation and what was going on with credit. He went and got another salesperson; they went and got a sales manager and they did the numbers. I told them that I could afford to pay $400.00 a month. Next thing I was told go and test drive a 2013 Nissan Sentra. I told them that I did not want to have very high payments. Well, I was told that my payments would be around $400 plus a month. When we got back from test driving, the salesperson told me the black Sentra which was on the show floor would be the car that I would drive off with. I told them that my credit was not good, but they told me that I did not have to worry about anything. So, on May 10, 2013, I drove off in a brand new car from Valley Hi Nissan in Victorville. Well, to my nightmare; on June 14, 2013 I received a call from Mr. George ** one of the finance managers. Nissan had denied my loan because I could not show even funds in my bank account. I told him that if Nissan would have looked at my statements carefully, they would have seen that all my funds were going to Enterprise every week to cover for the car I was renting from them. I told them that if they did the numbers, they would see how much I was spending every week. Mr. ** told me that Nissan did not care about me renting a car; they wanted to see the funds in the account. I told him, How can I keep the funds in the account, if I am renting every week? He told me to bring the car back to the dealership in Victorville. I am very upset with this whole situation because Nissan never gave me an opportunity to even make one payment. I understand that I have had some credit issues, which is not Nissan and the banks problem, but how many people in America are having problems with their credit? I am very upset with the people at the dealership, because now they are saying, Well, we did all we could do. You know, if we mess up how credit scores, the bank and finance companies will hold our past over our heads until we die, and sometimes they hold the past still against who have died. All I wanted them to do is to at least give me a chance to make the payments. So now, here I am back to renting a car so I can get to work, and the dealership has their car which now is a used car. So who wins? I just thank GOD that he does hold our past against us for life.

My husband and I bought a Nissan Rogue in California a couple years ago. It started having what we thought was transmission issues at about 95,000 miles. We immediately took it to the shop to be evaluated. They said there was nothing wrong. I continued to drive it and kept having problems. We took it in several times and every time they said there was nothing wrong. A few months ago we moved to Tennessee and drove our Nissan. We were in the middle of nowhere and suddenly my car stopped shifting. It was stuck in a high gear. We were finally able to make it to Tennessee to a Nissan dealership in Cookeville. We had an appointment for 8am. I took the day of so we could drop it off and came back to pick it up later in the evening. When we got there they were not friendly and clueless as to what was going on and where our keys were. Finally they figured out that nobody even looked at our car. They didnt apologize, take ownership of their mistake or offer us a discount! I had to take the next day off again to be able to go back and pick it up when they were done. They finally called and informed us that the transmission needed to be replaced. The reason my husband and I are so upset with Nissan is because we were then informed that the transmission had a warranty until 120,000 miles and we were actively trying to get it fixed since about 95,000 miles because we could tell it was going out! We have contacted Nissan to inform them of our experience and they dont seem to really care about their customers. The Nissan of Cookeville website states that their commitment is to provide their customers with top notch customer service but that is not near what we received!

I learned there is a recall on my transmission that went out 3 months after I purchased the car. I called Nissan North America and they told me I could not get any assistance in getting my transmission fixed. They said because I had a salvage title and non Nissan parts on my car. That was a lie. Then they told me it was because I am out of the mile range. I have documentation when I was in mileage range of the replacement that there was nothing wrong but needed a flush. Went and got one and then they documented that it needed a new one.Their store told me call them. They should help me replace it. I called and they said Sorry you are over miles. Cant do anything? The worst possible customer service ever. I would never purchase another Nissan again. Horrible!!! Nissan is so great and backs their products up. Well I surely am not seen it. There are many complaints about this and theyre doing nothing. It should be illegal! I turned in my car the day my inspection was completed and it was in great shape aside from one dent the size of a nickel.10 weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for $1,200. $400 in damage from a dent in the front, which I agreed to pay, and also the $395 disposition fee, which I agreed to pay. However, I was also charged $398 for an additional months lease payment and $20 in penalty fees. When I called the Nissan Finance representative, they told me the dealership did not report my car being turned in for another 21 days after I had dropped it off. I strongly suggest not doing any business with this company or any of their affiliates, unless you enjoy scams and lies.

They approved a one month extension, then pushed us one day over the 30-day mark by their own incompetence and now refused to remove this one and only credit glitch even though we were longtime, paying on time customers. Nissan is mean-spirited and inconsiderate to their customers and should be blackballed by all of us. In fact, dont even buy Nissan. I was going to buy another Titan, but this pushed me over into the Chevy column for all time no matter what they come up with. They might as well not even exist anymore. Theyre dead to me.

I have had a Nissan Leaf for about 18 months. From the beginning, I thought that the brakes were not right (they are computer-controlled brakes). They would slip for about 1/2 second when I pressed them or sometimes during use. About 12 days ago, the car would not start and the computer told me that my foot was not on the brake, but it was! The computer could not sense that my foot was trying to press the brake (remember that the brakes are computer assisted). I took the car into the dealership and they have had it for 12 days, and still they and Nissan USA have no idea what the problem is. They have tried rebooting the computer but it still does not work. This is an obvious safety issue (brakes not working) and inconvenience (not being able to start or use the car), and it seems like the local Nissan dealership and Nissan USA cannot work together to get this resolved!

We originally filed for a refund of the cash value of the Vehicle Ext. Warranty and Maintenance Contracts on October 28, 2011 with the Bob Rohrman Nissan dealership. We were told 6-8 weeks before we would receive the credit. Dec. 15th, we contacted Nissan Customer Service and spoke with Cedric 1800-Nissan ext **. He stated that Nissan showed that they had never received anything from the dealer. He gave an address and a list of documentation that was needed to start the claim all over. Via certified letter mailed on 12/20/11, we sent him the original copy of Odometer Disclosure Statement from the dealer dated 10/14/11, copy of Wells Fargo statement showing the rogue being paid off posted on 10/21/11 and the original copy of Nissan Extended Services North America Dealer Cancellation Request from Bob Rohrman Nissan of Chesterton dated 10/28/11. The letter was signed for on 12/28/11.Chitana at ** received a similar complaint like this and responded in early January 2012. She then passed the case on to Jane ** at ext **. Jane does not remember conversations from one day to the next. She blames the dealership CFO for not getting back to her. She called and said she is waiting for a confirmation number from another department, which she had told me this now for over a month but she will be calling me back with days with the info then never calls. She told me she is contacting the dealer about the value of the maintenance contract, but now says there is no record of contradicting what Chitana told me. It has been 22 weeks since the claim was initiated. I am close to filing in small claims courts and hiring an attorney for the complaint. The claim will be for the initial credits, attorney fees, court costs and interest.

******************************************************************************************************** Published on other sites: https://www.yelp.com/biz/nissan-of-queens-service-ozone-park ********************************************************************************************************I have been taking my 2014 Platinum pathfinder since August 2017 for issues with the vehicle jerking and giving trouble to start. I was told the pulley kit needed to be changed. The following week the suv would not turn on,once it was on the engine light came on. I took the truck to Nissan of Queens , left the truck there for 2 weeks till the transmission came in. When i got my vehicle back i saw my push bar was dented on the passenger side. I took the vehicle back on Monday because it was picked it up while they were closing up so rushing it was not noticed until i got home. The manager Ravi said they were not responsible for the dent. ( My vehicle is always parked in a private driveway and did not have any dents on it) . I called another manager there Sando about 6 times left messages till now i never got a call back. I took my truck back the following week Sept 6th for jerking issues and i saw now they take pictures of each vehicle that goes in for service. They told me they cannot find anything wrong so i contacted consumer affairs. After calling them 3 times i finally got an appt for 10/4/17 . I met with the consumer affairs and as i sat down with him he told me he was only there to discuss the truck. I then realized that the manager Ravi had briefed him on the dent on my truck which occurred on Nissan premises. He told me he would take the truck for a test drive and will let me know what the issues are once he returned. He came back and said he did not experience any issues and he couldnt do anything. I explained to him i spent over $50 K(paid off in 14 mths) on this truck which i only have 3 years now and i was having all the same issues as before. He then told me he would check the fluids after 45 mins he came back and said he found debris in the pan and he would need to order a new transmission. They gave me back my truck 10/4/17 with all the same issues. I left numerous messages for consumer affairs but have not gotten a call back as to when my transmission will be replaced. Now 10/17/17 my daughter got into a accident because when coming to a stop the truck started jerking and hit the vehicle in front of her. I left another message for consumer affairs and awaiting a call back. I am still driving a faulty vehicle and a accident occurred because the the cvt transmission jerking. This will be the 3 rd transmission in 3 mths. Nissan should not be selling vehicles with faulty transmission.

It started out that my A/C would not work if I was sitting still. We called Nissan service and asked them what it could be. They listed a few different things. And none of them were your transmission could be getting contaminated with radiator fluid. Then on Christmas, our heat stopped working. My father-in-law had my husband check the radiator fluid. It was low so they filled it up. And everything was fine. No one still had any idea what was going wrong. Then in March 2010, I went to pull out into traffic. My car had a hard time switching gears and picking up speed. It just suddenly happened it was driving fine. And then, nope not anymore! Thank the Lord I am one of those drivers who wants the road to be almost clear. Because if not, I would have had a bad accident. So then, I called some people. And at that time, no one still knew what was going on. We have some Nissan techs that are friends. So, I guess Nissan finds out the problem somehow, but they will not help anyone out. Even if you got all your services, this would not have been caught. Nissan needs to man up and fix these cars! I have called National Highway at 888-327-4236 and have made a complaint! Please everyone, do the same.

Weve purchased our Nissan Primera 1.9 dci on June 29, 2007 in Hungary as a new car. Dealers Address: Nissan Balogh, H-4431, Nyregyhza, Lujza utca 19, Tel: +36 42 595 115, Fax: +36 42 595 114,). Our former car was a Nissan Primera, too .Last week we were going home by car with my two little sons when suddenly thick smoke came from every vent of the car. We could hardly breathe and my children were shocked. It was really frightening and the air bag alarm went on. Thanks to my composure I switched everything off and we left the car. I called a trailer as I didnt dare to restart the car. They took it to the Nissan service. It turned out that due to an electric circuit, all the wires got fire and they burnt down. I simply dont understand why the circuit breaker (fuse) did not work? The Hungarian Nissan service says that they cant give a proper explanation for this failure. My sons and my life were at risk. What if the fuel gets fire and the car explodes? We bought this car as a family car as we believed that a Nissan is a reliable and safe car for a family with kids. Now my cost would be about 300.000-400.000 HUF (1.000,-1.400, ). Im not able and not willing to pay that amount for the repair as I believe that it is a faulty construction. I want an explanation for the accident and a refund for my loss!

I want to know if anyone else is having a problem with their Rogue not accelerating in the expressway. I was driving back from Alabama to Atlanta yesterday evening and took my foot off the gas pedal briefly and as I tried to give my car gas, the car wouldnt go pass 40 miles per hour per speedometer. I almost had an accident with my child in my car trying to pull over from the left lane to get to the emergency lane. After waiting two hours for the road side assistance to locate me, my car was towed to the nearest dealership. I finally was able to get it back to Atlanta that same night. No check engine light came on at all. The car seems to be running fine. Took it to the dealership to be check and was informed that I need a new transmission.

Coming from a Loyal Nissan customer FOR ELEVEN PLUS YEARS, I am disgusted at their lack of care and concern for issues that my recent lease CAME WITH. I just signed this lease, trading in my old one at the end of May. I will NEVER go with Nissan again after my recent experiences with the Patchogue, NY Dealership and Consumer Affairs absolute lack of care and effort to mend anything. Problems at the dealership level have left me going to Consumer Affairs which were of no further help at all. They act as if all of this is out of their hands and there is nothing to do to reassure their efforts at trying to make me satisfied. They cannot get one person on the phone to speak with me. I have had issues regarding my new 2018 lease 3 months in, leaving it in the shop to be repaired with NO ETA of time it will be done (because items are back-ordered) and ready for me to drive again. Though they did mention maybe some time in October... awesome because I dropped off my car on 8/27. I also only get this info through voicemails because every time I try to call back it goes to voicemail and I wont receive another call until they have their scheduled time to call me back. Horrible customer service and quality of care.My new lease has a safety brake issue where the auto safety break will go off when no one is around, breaking my car while going 40+ mph. Apparently this is a VERY COMMON issue (talk about safety) with ALL Nissan models starting with the VIN K. So Id check your VIN because I am sure if you dont say anything about it, they wont either. I have also had the issue of my backup camera lagging and freezing as backing up since the beginning. There was no point to even use it because it was inaccurate and dangerous to do so. My radio has also just decided to black out one day for a good 10 minutes. Couldnt do anything about it. This is my THIRD time back to the dealership where they finally kept the car to fix it fully, even after showing them video evidence of my experiences the second time I went back.Patchogue has provided me a loaner of not even the same model or year of my current Rogue lease. Which is fine and I normally wouldnt care, BUT at this point, still paying for a new lease yet driving around an older vehicle for over a month has me fuming. I have been polite and patient up until now. The back and forth phone calls that go nowhere are leaving me stressed and in disbelief with this company. I am in shock and SO dissatisfied with all this new 2018 Nissan Rogue and Nissan Customer Service has come with. This is my fourth Nissan, third lease. I have NEVER had an experience like this. I am beyond shocked and pissed.

The fuel pump went out on my 2011 Nissan Versa. This is really not supposed to happen to a new car. I was out two tows and a nights stay at a hotel. The folks at the Nissan dealership in Victoria, TX were super great to work with and they assured me I would be reimbursed. Flash forward to a month with no return emails or calls from the regional customer service office. Not as much as a single update. My husband is going to contact them now and if that does the trick, there really are no words. I hope that this stereotype is proven so that I get my money, but I hope for Nissans sake it is not as that is obvious discrimination.

I bought a 2012 Nissan Murano 7 month ago and the last 5 month its been sitting in the driveway. The cvt transmission has went bye bye at 120 thousands km so I call Nissan Canada. Gave my vin number only to find out that there was an extended warranty bought and paid for already for that Vin/. My 2012 Nissan Murano. But heres the thing. They got the money already for the warranty but was up to them to let the dealership who I bought it from that there was an extended warranty on this vin and was to be transferred to the new owner within 30 days of purchase which they had failed to do so you went on to have camvac do an arbitration and Nissan sent a legal representation and at the end of it all Nissan could care less about their consumers at all and come good and honor the warranty that they already made the money on and fix my vehicle for me. So now Im stuck with a truck that dont run and a loan that I have to pay for 18 thousand and have nowhere to turn. Im a single father thats been raising my 2 girls for the past 7 years alone. I work my butt off to afford to drive and pay for the car and raised my girls and Nissan has all the money in the world and cant do anything or dont even care. So what Im saying is if anyone reads this think twice before you buy any Nissan car or truck. They really dont care about the consumer at all and the transmission on these vehicle are garbage and if you research them you will see all the problems on them cvt transmission. I just dont want anyone else to have to suffer the way I have and for through this. Thank you.

I attempted to make two payments to NMAC through my banks bill pay service. The first time, I entered the account number from my statement by hand. The second time, I entered my account number through copy and paste from my statement on NMAC’s website. Both payments were returned for invalid account number. I contacted NMAC’s customer service to inquire and they could not explain why the ACH payments from my bank were returned. I then mailed a check to NMAC for my payment. I prefer to pay my payments in an electronic fashion so I dont have to worry about my check being lost in the mail or a delay with the postal system. I then signed up for recurring payments on NMAC; their only option is to pay once monthly. I prefer to pay specific amounts each check to reduce my interest costs to myself. I guess with Nissan, its their way or the highway. In addition, when I purchased my vehicle from Sheehy of Manassas, I was told my GAP insurance was free. When I reviewed my sales contract, the GAP insurance is included in the contract and the balance reflects my loan with NMAC. How is the GAP free if Im paying for it? The first contract on the vehicle was at 4.99% interest. I was called back and told I dont qualify for that rate. So if I purchase the Sheehy VIP care maintenance service and lockout service, then I can receive 2.09% but lose one of my rebates, which made my payments go up $3 per month. What kind of math classes did Nissan take in college?

Purchased Nissan Altima..brand new from Davidson Nissan In Watertown NY. My car overheated to the point the indicator was pegged out completely! And fluid spewed out from under the hood multiple times!! First trip to very unfriendly service department..was told could not repeat. Picked up my car and the radiator fluid was still all over the front end of my car!! Next day picked my son up at school. Car overheated to the point I was asked to move it farther away from the building for fear children could be burned from the spewing liquid. Parked in the far end of parking lot. My car was flat bedded again to Davidson Nissan in Watertown N.Y. Was told again could not repeat. Went to pick up my car, they couldnt find it. Called service manager and he told them he parked it in the back field. They brought it to me covered in dirt and yep covered in more anti freeze. This continued for weeks. I told the manager of the Davidson Nissan Watertown NY I did not want the car anymore. I asked him to buy it back. He said all he could do to make it right was an extended warranty, Nissan car mats, 2 free oil changes (I did not use) and a Nissan hat. 2 years later my car suddenly jerks going down the highway. I get off exit and car hesitated. I drove less than a mile to pizza shop. Went to leave and my car would not go forward or reverse.. Called warranty company and had my car flat bedded to Burdick Nissan in Cicero NY (Drivers Village). I was told this morning that transmission had to be completely replaced!!! What it is a 2017 are you kidding me. Yep but at least its covered by warranty. What about next time? Replacing with the same kinda transmission.... Hello..I thought Nissan was a good dependable car. I dont want this car and owe too much to trade it!! Thanks Nissan.

The summer of 2013 is here and the car is in for service again - entire roof was replaced and still does not work properly. Ive bought Nissan Almera (Nissan Teana, name in Thailand) on Dec. 2013 and feel some vibration during the ride in the third week. Id contacted with the dealer to tell the problem Ive found. I made an appointment to check whats wrong with my car. After checking, they tell me that my car is normal. After that Ive found jerky in the second month. After consulting with the technicians from Jatco, they indicated theres a problem from the gear and propose to change the gear for me.I hardly accept this. I bought a new car; like any customers, I hopefully find the normal car, at least; no problem, anxiety-free, safety indeed, no need to fix or change the primary compartment of the car (in my opinion, gear is the significant compartment of the car) in a short time. During the arguments, Ive found some ignorance and worst of all, the representative gave a lie to me!! I wrote the letter to Nissan Japan and Nissan Motor Thailand but it didnt help. Nissan Japan said that Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has complete authority over Nissans product and service in Thailand. Now that the lemon law in Thailand is not strong enough, all I can do is to tell anyone in Thailand, and also in another country about the problem. By now there are customers in Thailand facing the same problem. Finally, I will not recommend NISSAN to anyone in Thailand or anywhere.

I traded in a Nissan Rogue and purchased a 2013 Nissan Sentra on February 15, 2013. Since a week after I purchased the car, the brakes have been making an unpleasant sound as soon as you push the brakes. It feels like air in the brakes. I have been at the Nissan dealership 3 times already, contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs, opened a claim, and an engineer finally went to the dealership to test the car. Final response, it is a characteristic of the car and it’s normal. It is not normal that the brakes are making a strange sound that to me is a great safety issue as I drive a lot and I also have a baby. It is unbelievable the service I have received from Nissan and even worse that they just clean their hands after selling you a car. They dont know how to fix the car and they wont take my car in because to them it is a normal issue. I have not had a response from Consumer Affairs and I cannot believe that a 2-month-old car is giving me so many problems. I need help in regards to this situation. As a customer and user, I should not be forced to retain a car that is not functioning properly, and it has safety concerns for me and my family. The dealership has been unresponsive and they even said that because it was a characteristic of the car, the lemon law does not apply. The law should not allow dealerships just to sell cars and then dont take care of their customers. It is not normal for a two-month-old car to be having issues with brakes and a person does not buy new car to be having issues with brakes just two months after and the dealership, just because they dont know what it is, cleans their hands.

I had contacted Nissan regarding a shift lever failure on my 2008 Rogue. After sending in my information and then getting a reply from Nissan today, 9/7/12, (after several attempts to contact anyone), I was told by Nissan that they cannot help me with any financial help or warranty due to the part is not covered by any drivetrain warranty. As this part is not considered a drivetrain part and I am at 60,109 miles (1,009 miles over the 60,000 drivetrain warranty). It was added, additionally, that another main reason I was denied any help is I was told that I do not take my car to Nissan for any service, therefore, they cannot help me at Christopher Nissan in Woods Cross Utah. This sends a message to me that since I do not spend money at Nissan, there is not much they feel responsible for. I did have my CVT transmission serviced there as I feel it was important for the extended warranty to have it serviced. $180 on a transmission service that should only have cost no more than $75. I do my own maintenance on my cars and have completed the service needed on oil changes and rotating tires, etc. So Im not spending money at Nissan rubes wrong. From my view, the part that failed has nothing to do with service or maintenance and what I have spent at the dealer. It is related to the quality of a component. If anyone at Nissan would take time to read internet reviews on this subject, they would conclude there are many questionable concerns about this part on the Rogue and other Nissan models. So if this has come to a close about me not spending more money with Nissan to service my vehicle, I accept this and will not spend any more money with Nissan going forward. There are plenty of choices for me to where I spend my money and what car I buy. Signed, David **, one unhappy customer.

The national corporate Nissan office surprised me with their response. I had called simply to vent about my treatment at Pohanka Nissan in Fredericksburg, VA. I did not expect them to actually stand behind their product. They listened politely to me and said they would review the problems and get back to me.They called me daily with updates and totally resolved it within a week by compensating me 100% of the transmission replacement. They were amazing as I never expected this response. The only reason that I did not change their rating to 5-stars was the horrible treatment by their Fredericksburg, VA dealership, Pohanka. They were rude and incompetent. For examples on Pohanka, they deceitfully tried to sell my wife higher grade oil changes than recommended by the manufacturer. Just this week, I had to repair a vacuum hose that my Goodyear mechanic said almost certainly resulted from poor installation of the transmission last month by Pohanka. The Pohanka Service Representative actually blamed me for the failure of the $3,800 transmission - you can only guess how that went over with me.I have dealt with many Nissan dealerships and have been very pleased with all but Pohanka. The obvious solution is to continue to buy Nissan products but not from Pohanka. Nor would I recommend that anyone services their car with Pohanka. Again, I was not happy about the transmission but the National Corporate Nissan office was amazing in resolving the problem to our satisfaction. They won me back big time with their incredible response to back up their product with a long term customer.

I recently traded in my 2012 Nissan Versa for a 2015 Nissan Versa Note with the Woodfield Nissan dealership in Schaumburg, IL. There was a promotion being run in the Spring wherein Nissan was paying a few months worth of monthly lease payments if satisfied customers were willing to buy or lease another Nissan from the company. I went to the dealership and drove off in my new car. I asked MULTIPLE TIMES, when I traded in my vehicle, if they needed to inspect the car before accepting it in order to properly negotiate my new price/payment. I was repeatedly told that either it didnt matter or that there was nothing to worry about. There was no further explanation given. I am on my 3rd consecutive Nissan (1st Nissan was purchased used, then 2nd and 3rd were leased new) and my husband also has a Nissan Altima. We have never missed, nor have either of us been late, on one payment. NOT ONE. When my credit was run at the dealership, it came back in the top 12% of everyone in the country. 4 months after leaving the dealership, I received a bill from Vital Recovery Services, apparently the go-to creditors for Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp in the amount of $200-$250. I called Vital Recovery Services and was informed that there was Excessive Damage to my previous lease. I had not received any notice of this debt prior to the letter from Vital Recovery Services. This was the 1st letter I received from Vital Recovery Services. I offered to pay the debt immediately, before even investigating, if (and only if) my failure to pay immediately would cause harm to my credit history and/or credit report. I was told, by two different customer service specialists with Vital Recovery Services, that I would NOT have this debt reported to any credit agencies. After further research, apparently all leases are inspected by an outside company (meaning that the individual dealerships dont have any part in the decision-making process in regards to the condition of the leases turned in). They have a $500 credit for damages that they give to each customer turning in a lease, and I had somehow exceeded this amount by more than $200 (amounting to more than $700 in damages). Now, my MAIN GOAL of my new lease was to get a monthly payment below $200 (which I was able to obtain). So, it stands to reason that a bill for over $200 would cause me distress. But, I am in the process of buying my 1st home so I paid the bill just to remove any chance of having a negative mark on my credit report. I was told that I wouldnt from Vital Recovery Services and thought that would take care of the problem. Even though I searched online and found hundreds and hundreds of dissatisfied customers who were in the same situation of owing Nissan (and by proxy, Vital Recovery Services) hundreds of dollars for unspecified (and according to everyone we spoke to, undocumented, or at least we were not given any detailed information on the documented damages), I still just paid the $200 - $250 debt so that I wouldnt have issues with obtaining the best possible mortgage rate. But, when my mortgage broker/bank put together my mortgage I had to write a detailed explanation of why I had an outstanding/negative mark from Nissan/Vital Recovery on my Credit History Report. Its bad enough that my husband and I, in our early and mid-thirties, have vowed NEVER to purchase a Nissan again in our lives (as I stated above, we already have owned or leased 4 in the past 5 years between the 2 of us), but paying them off without too much of an argument after my first received collection letter STILL didnt remove the ONLY negative mark on my credit report. Typing this very long review of Nissan is fueled by anger, as is the complaints I filed with the BBB against Vital Recovery, Nissan Motors, and Woodfield Nissan. On top of that, our new Versa Note is making some loud noises and I am so livid. Im dreading the day I have to bring the car into the dealership to get it fixed. Hopefully that goes smoothly but I will amend this review as warranted.

Bought brand new 2015 Nissan Rouge. My tail light has been repaired 3 times due to condensation and currently not fix costing me gas, time, and unwanted mileage. Each time I have to take it to the Nissan Dealership, currently around 357 miles put on going back and forth. File complaint asking them buy back suv or replace SUV, and they said no and set up appointment number 4. If I wanted a problem SUV I would of bought a used one, since lemon law requires 4 attempts to fix it. I cant do anything but put up with the lies they have told me, therefore for all the stress, time, gas, money and mileage I give Nissan a negative 0. Will never buy another Nissan. Since I cant submit this without a star being check I will check 1, but I stand by my negative zero

I recently purchased a 2018 Nissan Titan XD diesel with the midnight package. Everywhere online Nissan advertises that the midnight package XD comes with a bed liner, floor mats, wheel well flares, and more. The dealership I purchased from was nice when I bought my truck. The next day were complete jerks when I went back to ask for floor mats only. So I called customer service with Nissan and they did not do anything and did not care. Flat out told me I was just out of luck. The truck is a piece of crap. It has no power. It is not a diesel. I do not know how Cummins whatever advertise their name on that piece of junk. Save yourself the hassle. Buy a Dodge or a Ford. Stay away from their junk especially Empire Nissan at Lakewood.

If I could rate Nissan a 0 I would. All around terrible service from the advisors up to management. Brought my vehicle into Pine Belt Nissan of Tomsriver NJ. I had what I believed to be a stress crack across my windshield. The advisor along with the service manager both looked at it, and clearly said they could NOT find any point of impact, obviously with that being said it would be a factory defect. They sent all my info along with photos to Nissan corporate. Who I went back and forth with to have it covered since the glass had NOT been hit. Anyway it had been denied all across the board. Not a single person could provide an explanation on why the glass broke, of course they only work there but know NOTHING. I even asked them if they could Pay half the cost. Again was told NO. I would of happily taken aftermarket glass didnt have to come from the factory. Im guessing Nissan knows nothing of “goodwill”. Customer service is TERRIBLE! They cant even do the right thing for their customers, they would much rather lose them instead. Nissan is pathetic. I would never ever lease or purchase anything from this awful awful company again! Everyone else tell your friends and family! All they could come up with was, Sorry car is not in warranty, spare me Nissan. I will never serve my car in any Nissan service center again. Nissan does not do the right thing and thats the bottom line! Poor product and terrible employees.

I received a call today from a collection agency claiming that I owe $614.20 due to charges for excessive wear and tear on a Nissan that I returned 9 months ago. Mind you, the Maxima that I returned was in mint condition and I leased another Nissan, this time an Altima. I called NMAC today and they claim to have sent me a statement which I never received. That statement was allegedly sent 4 weeks after I returned one vehicle to lease another. The only other correspondence that was made regarding these fraudulent charges was 8 months later from a collection agency!!!! I spoke with about 6 different representatives from NMAC today and received so many contradictory pieces of information. Id like to point out that when the finance manager mistakenly set up my automatic payments for 20 months on my original Nissan for a 36-month lease and the automatic payment ran out, NMAC was quick to call when they didnt receive their payment. I was told today that I wasnt contacted about the most recent charge because it was end of term and NMAC doesnt bother, we just send out one bill and then turn it over to collections.... Really???? This is how they treat current customers? Had I gotten some correspondence and been made aware that I was being unfairly charged for excessive wear and tear attributed to scratches on the rims, I would have at least had some method of recourse. I cannot wait until I make my twelfth payment on this Altima so that I can hopefully buy myself out of this Altima and sever all ties with Nissan and NMAC. This has been the single worst customer service experience of my life!!!! Cant wait to tell Nissan to shove it!!!!!

I purchased my Altima in 2011 from Newburgh Nissan, Harte Auto Group. Boy was I ripped off! I felt that I was bait & switched when it came to the deal and paperwork. Clearly, after I realized that I paid WAY too much for this vehicle, nobody wanted to hear about it. Not the dealership and not Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. My payment is way too high for what I can afford since DAY 1. NMAC will NOT work with me regarding possibly modifying the terms of my loan. They dont care. Representatives there are very nasty. No notes was ever noted when I call. I seem to explain my story over and over again. Now nearly sinking clearly into a state of bankruptcy - JUST FOR THIS LOAN/CAR - Im sick to my stomach. In this day and age, you would think auto creditors would WANT to work with you - have a little bit of understanding and compassion to try and make it work. Nissan does NOT. I will NEVER recommend or purchase another Nissan product as long as I breathe and walk this earth. Ive made mistakes in my life - but this one was by far, the worst Ive ever done. Once again, not the dealer or NMAC will even try to listen to me or work with me to make my situation a little easier. DONT BUY A NISSAN!!!

Nissan have been accused of disgraceful customer service after leaving the owner of a brand new Nissan stranded for three days 200 miles from his home town in the UK. Anthony ** car broke down with transmission failure only one week after purchasing the 50 thousand dollar top of the range Rogue from a Nissan dealership in the UK. ** and his friend were on route from Redcar to Skegness for a golfing holiday and were almost there when they suddenly lost drive from Nissans brand new CVT automatic gearbox on the Nissan Rogue which is called Qashqai in the UK. Mr **, who has previously bought two other brand new Nissans said, I should never have taken this car out of the showroom in the first place. When I went to pick it up, they made me pay for the vehicle before going out to look at it. I was filling in a questionnaire about the excellent condition of the car and the service they were providing when my son said; you had better come and have a look at the car before you answer that question because it has some scratches on it. I examined the car and it was in a right state. I had to ask the garage to wash the car again as it wasnt clean. We found a scratch on one door; scuff marks on the back bumper and two pieces of trim inside the car not fitted properly. I told the salesman I was thinking about walking away from the car but he promised me everything would be sorted. During the following week, Bristol Street Motors failed on two occasions to repair the trim properly. ** went on to explain how he became stranded; I have roadside assistance from Nissan. They are under contract to give you a car to help you on your way in these situations. I arranged for my vehicle to be recovered to a Nissan dealership. The dealership told me they didnt have a courtesy car to give me. They asked me if I could leave the car with them but I couldnt without getting a courtesy car, as mine was full of golfing equipment and luggage. In the end I had to ask the driver of the tow truck if he would take the car and me to the hotel in Skegness where we were stranded for three days. We couldnt go anywhere, as the car couldnt be driven. We were just stuck at the hotel waiting for Nissan to sort out this mess. When they did offer me a car three days later from a Nissan dealership in Boston (Lincolnshire), they said would a Micra do and how was I fixed for getting to Boston myself (25 miles away) to pick it up!!! I eventually persuaded them to give me a Qashqai (Rogue). When it turned up it looked as though it had been off roading. It was filthy and to top it off, was almost empty of fuel. Car of the year 2014? Exceptional service from 3 Nissan dealers and Nissan Customer Care? You decide for yourself! **, who rejected the vehicle, was initially refused neither his money back, nor a replacement vehicle. After 3 months of difficult and protracted negotiation, Nissan finally agreed to refund the money he paid for the vehicle but has lost out due to insurance and other costs.

My 2017 Nissan Rogue on a dozen frightening occasions while I was accelerating uphill on a dry flat road dropped into lower gear and flashed the red alert triangle. Very scary. I have to take my foot off the gas pedal in order to be able to continue accelerating. Very terrifying especially with cars behind me. Nissan service manager and mechanics refuse to acknowledge the problem and treat me badly and tell me to come back with the incident recorded. I think that Nissan is very aware of the problem and is hiding it until there is a major fatality and they have to have recalls. I dont feel safe in my brand new car and I am treated terribly by the dealership management because they are sexist. Does anyone else have this problem? Please post if you do. The history my wife and I have with this van is as follows. We purchased the Nissan Quest new in May of 2011 trading in our 2008 Nissan Quest. We had no problems with (2011 Quest) it throughout the summer and into early fall. Then late October early November, it started to stall on us as we would drive down our driveway. We took it to the dealership Nov. 18, 2011 and they had replaced the fuel tank because the pick-up line to the front of the tank was poorly designed. We got it back Dec. 16, 2011 being told all is fine. It stalled out again New Years Eve as we drove down the same hill. Our gas tank showed we had 3/8 of a tank of gas. It would do this every time we were going down the hill with under a half tank of gas. Unable to start again until leveled out. Coasting with limited brakes and steering abilities with children in the car down a very steep and windy hill. We took it back to the shop on Jan. 6, 2012 and it has been there since. Nissan had an engineer out to look at the van to make sure they (Nissan mechanics) had installed the new one properly. Engineers discovered a whole new design would be necessary, but that we could drive it as long as we had over a half tank of gas. We refused as it was a safety concern with our large family. They agreed and paid for our rental car and a month payment to accommodate us. After they had it for over a month with still no fix, we decided to file lemon law on it.

My family and I were debating about purchasing a new 2016 Nissan Rouge thinking it was a safe and a reliable family car but encountering these extremely dangerous mechanical issues I faced with my family in the car going 65 mph on the interstate had me thinking otherwise. The transmission fails when needing to accelerate then cuts back on after we just nearly missed getting into an accident with an 18 wheeler. This car is unsafe and was recalled by Nissan to get this issue fixed so I mean, they should be aware of this problem with these cars now that we are out of the extended warranty. Ms Amber ** the manager and Joe the specialist both specified (that they are not in the position to do anything) for our family that they are sorry, OK, thank you. Just like that she ended the conversation. So now that you know they will not back up their product and at least help the cost of repair or completely exchanging it for the type 2 transmission for the car, please dont buy a Nissan. Read all defects and reviews, know how many people they have turned away because of this problem. Please choose a safer car for your family to drive in. Thank you for your time.

My name is Tommy ** with Pro Parts Center. We have be purchasing fleet of NV2500 vans from Central Houston Nissan past couple of years. We have about 12 NV2500 in our fleet. Every single one of the van have had warranty issues with catalytic converter and fuel pumps. I am amazed how Nissan has not issued a recall on this yet. For the most part Central Nissan has taken care of my warranty issues until today. This NV van had 60K miles and I was told by service adviser Anthony that its out of warranty since the catalytic converter has a 50K mile warranty. I explained to him all my other van had the same issues. He advised me the cost will be around $3500 for repairs. Knowing this is an ongoing issue with these vans I wondered why wouldnt NISSAN warranty this one on good faith.Anthony suggested that if I had done their recommended fuel service then this wouldnt have happened. (This angered me more than the $3500 bill.) I told him I even had brought the same vehicle in around 30K miles and had service adviser David ** check on the same issues. He assured me nothing was wrong with this one and noted on my account if the issue arise after warranty that he would take care of it. After I complained and told them the situation was documented in my account prior to the expiration of my warranty, they offered to pay 80% of the cost to repair. I dont understand that if they admit guilt and will pay 80%, why dont they pay the entire balance. This is obviously a defect and should be a nationwide recall. But instead of taking ownership of the problem, Nissan tries to pass the cost to consumers. THIS SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED. I will continue to send this message to anyone in Nissan that will take my concern seriously. This will be posted to all Nissan social media account until I get a response. This is terrible service especially to a customer that has a fleet of Nissan vehicles. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN AGAIN!

I own a Nissan Altima 2008. Based on the manufacturer maintenance the CVT fluids needs to be replaced every 30000 miles. During the first 4 years I did that myself from the drain plug that is designed in the fluid pan. After 96000 miles the CVT transmission failed, with my extended warranty I took the car to the Nissan dealership who replaced the CVT transmission. Now after 30000 MILES I TRIED TO CHANGE THE CVT TRANSMISSION fluid, I found out that the transmission they installed does not have the drain plug. I went back to the dealership and they refused to help. I called Nissan customer service filed a claim and the answer I got - Nissan made very few transmission with no drain plug, and I should go to the dealership for the oil change. They also refused to pay for that modification. So now I got an experimental CVT transmission, with a costly $250 oil change bill that Nissan refuse to fix or pay for their mistake. Unbelievable. On top of that I made more than 15 CALLS TO GET THROUGH.

Disappointed with Nissan. 3 years ago I bought certified pre-owned 2015 Nissan Murano at Sheehy Nissan of White Marsh. Also paid extra for 5 years extended warranty. Recently I noticed multiple small bubbles on my hood, last week I took my car to a car wash and came out with ugly spots of top coat coming off. I contacted Nissan with complaints. They sent me to Nissan designated body shop who confirmed that 6 year old car should not have this issue and it is a manufacture issue. My 2005 Murano was serviced by a dealer for a stalling problem. The dealer stated a need of Cam shaft sensor replacement for a fix. Further, they recommended that the CVT be replaced due to an action of recoiling at deceleration which I mentioned the exactly the same dilemma to a Nissan tech adviser who wrote a ticket. A mechanic test drove my car & was able to verify/duplicate the symptom of the recoiling action aforementioned. I told the Nissan dealer to replace the Cam sensor & the transmission fluids knowing that a warranty doesnt cover the expenses involved with the replacement of CVT.Next day, Oct/29/15, I accidentally discovered on internet that Nissan had extended warranty on CVT to 10 yr/120,000 miles. Consequently, I called the customer rep. to confirm an eligibility. The rep. submitted a ticket for a regional specialist to call me next day which they did. The answer was No because I purchased my car on Aug/16/2005 which is merely (2) months outside window of an extended warranty. I greatly disappointed & called a customer Rep. again to re-open the case for the following reasons: I have never received the notification from the Nissan of an extended warranty on CVT.Im the original owner & it has only 78,000 miles on it. Mine failed at such low miles, then whod buy a car from Nissan. Id have taken the car to a dealer to replace the CVT if Id known the extended program. I love my car & the performance except the mishap of CVT. Im awaiting on a reply from a regional manager this time in a few days for a final decision.

My daughter decided to replace her Ford Fiesta 2010 which she had many problems with the dual clutch. She bought a new Nissan Juke 2017 at 417 Nissan (Ottawa, Ontario) thinking there wont be issues, its new right? The car had maybe 25 km on it when she left the dealer, drove for 10 km and service engine came up (just left the dealer). She went back to the dealer, it took 1 week for them to figure out that it was a manufactured pin that was not pushed completely down. She picked up her car, approx. 1.5 months after, she broke down again, got towed. Now they said it was the wiring harness that needed to be replaced, it took forever to get the part (4 wks). It got replaced and fixed, drove it again for not even 1 month. This time it was worse. She thought the car was going to explode, RPM going crazy and could hardly go forward, service engine everything was lighting up in the dash, she got towed the 3rd time. My daughter is only 18 years old, making her bi-weekly payments and working 4 jobs. Now Nissan Finance have no problem digging in her account to withdrawal the payment when she has been asking since the 2nd break down to replace it with another Juke. Nissan (head office) wont even return our calls, they are not professional at all.
