Husqvarna Motorcycle Troubleshooting

If you're looking for help fixing your Husqvarna Motorcycle, look no further! Our comprehensive Husqvarna Motorcycle Troubleshooting guide will explain common issues, provide tips, and show you how to read your model's error codes.

Dirty Carburetor
There are ways to tell if a dirty or malfunctioning carburetor is your problem. If you have an electric starter, take your air intake off, push the starter, and squirt starter fluid straight into your carburetor. If it starts and revs up for a few seconds then that means you have a dirty carburetor.
Deposits and dirt can build up in your fuel system. As time passes, the build-up increases and will easily be able to block fuel passageways, especially the jets in the carburetor because they are so small. Not using a fuel filter will quickly cause a dirty carburetor.
You’ll need to thoroughly clean your carbs. To do this, you’ll have to take off the air intake then detach the carburetor from your motorcycle engine. Be sure to take pictures before you disassemble so you remember how to put it back together. Label parts using some tape if you need to.

Bad Spark Plugs
When a spark plug is about to give out, the motorcycle is running poorly, sounds louder than normal, and almost seems “gutless.” Eventually, when a spark plug has gone completely out, your motorcycle will attempt to turn over but simply won’t fire up.
Also, if you have no idea when they were changed last, that might be a good indication that they’re spent.
A spark plug can go bad in a few different ways. First, it’s possible for the ceramic coating to get cracked. When a cracked spark plug is installed, the spark will find the least path of resistance through the crack and ground out to your engine block instead of going all the way down to the end of the spark plug and jumping across the gap like it’s supposed to.
Luckily fixing a spark plug is easy; you simply need to buy new spark plugs. Spark plugs are usually only a few dollars each and can be found at any auto store. If you need to replace a spark plug, make sure you replace all the other ones as well even if they don’t need it. This will make your motorcycle run much more smoothly.

Blown Fuses
The motorcycle will sound completely normal when you try to start it, but it will spin forever yielding no results.
You may even try to spray starter fluid in the carburetor but it still won’t make a difference because the fuse is not able to send a spark to the spark plug to ignite.
A blown fuse generally means there is a bad grounding wire somewhere, especially if you have to keep replacing the same fuse. Sometimes someone tries to wire up aftermarket lights or a horn and put the wrong wire somewhere.
There is only one fuse that can affect the starting of a motorcycle. Every motorcycle usually has a main fuse which is between 30 to 50 amps (occasionally some bikes will have 20 amps). It is usually located off of the positive battery wire. Sometimes it’s an inline fuse and other times it’s a regular block fuse.
Check the main fuse and see if it’s blown. You can tell the fuse is blown by either black material found on the fuse or if the wires inside the fuse are disconnected. Replace the fuse if necessary. Any auto parts store will be able to identify the right fuse you need.

Dead Battery
This is the easiest problem to diagnose and is probably the most common reason why a motorcycle doesn’t start.
Depending on how low your battery is, if there is some voltage left you may be able to turn the key as well as turn on your blinker, but turning it over is slow and sluggish. If your battery is completely dead, your motorcycle will not make any noise at all when you try to start it.
Get a multimeter and turn it on to DC Voltage and put it on the 20 volt setting of direct current. Now put the separate leads on the two battery posts (if you’re reading a negative number, that just means you need to switch the leads to the other battery post).

Bad Starter
This is only applicable if you have an electric starter. A bad starter can make several strange sounds. One noise would be a clicking sound. Another noise will make is a whirring sound (almost like a high-pitched unpleasant buzz) where you can tell the gears aren’t catching on anything.
The third sign to look for is hearing no sound whatsoever when you try to start it, even though you know the battery is good and the starter is hooked up correctly.
The most common cause for a starter to go bad is age. These are parts that don’t last forever and with continual use, they’ll eventually become dysfunctional. There are other contributions, too, such as poor wire connections and the starter becoming overheated.
There is no way around it, you’ll simply need to get a new starter.

I purchased a HU800AWD in Spring of 2015. The first or second time I mowed my backyard I hit a green pine cone buried in the grass. There was the usual sound when a mower hits something solid. Several laps later the drive mechanism began to slip. I stopped the mower. I found that a green pine in the drive mechanism with a bunch of grass and the PLASTIC part that covered an access to the drive mechanism had a nice hole and crack that ran to a corner screw. I cleaned out the drive mechanism, bought a sheet of thin steel, bent it into as close an approximation as I could and attached it to the mower deck. Here I want to say that my former mower a 15 year old Toro had on many occasions hit green pine cones, hidden dog toys or tennis balls in deep grass with never a hiccup. My front yard due to fescue requires a mower height change every time I mow. One of the curved tips of levers has broken off. I was willing to live with the inconvenience of the 4 wheel adjustment as opposed to one lever to change all wheels at once due to what I thought was Husqvarna quality. I made a mistake. I would not buy this mower again. I tried to post a review on Husqvarna but got the message that the review could not be posted due to some error.

This is about the Husqrvana YTH20K46 riding lawn mower. I purchased the mower from Lowes Home Center Store at 940 Interstate Parkway, Akron, Ohio 44312 in July of 2009.My complaint is that it doesnt cut the lawn even and its hard to start. I was cutting the lawn recently and the cable that engages the blade broke, and I had to have the local mower company come and pick it up, take it and have everything fixed on it. The mower is only 2 years old. It cost me a total of $366 to have it repaired. Im a 71 year old female on a fixed income and I was told that Husqvarna was a good tractor to buy. But now, I would not recommend it to anyone. I think I should get my money back, plus the repairs. For a 2 season lawn mower, thats bad. I forgot, I already had a flat tire on the back too. I would like to have feedback on this please. Thank you.

I have or I should say had a Rider Model # YTH23V48. I bought it in Butler, MO 64730, from Young sales and repair. I bought it off of the showroom floor and paid more than I thought it was worth. I was dissatisfied from day one. It didnt have half of the deck clearance I was use to and it didnt serve my needs well at all. Previously I owned a Sears Craftsman mower, which was smaller horsepower and cutting width. That mower was ten times the Husqvarna was. It had twice the deck clearance and ran well for well over 14 years. When I went to get it repaired, I was offered to look over the New mowers at Youngs sales and service. I did not trade my craftsman in and left it there for repair and after several inquiries and two years later, I found that it was sold out from under me.Needless to say, I forced him to pay me for it. Bottom line is, after owning the Husqvarna for less than 3 years I am still paying for it and it now has a blown engine or so I have been told by Extreme Motors, the new Dealer in Butler, MO. Guess what? Their service was not any better. I have had it in there for a simple blown fuse and $400.00 later it had the wrong ignition put in, with no safety features anymore and they cut my headlight wires to stop the blown fuse problem. I gave them a piece of my mind just like I had given Youngs Sales. May I suggest that you make a better mow, along the lines of Craftsman or John Deere and do not let an unskilled shop operate in Butler furthermore. I am totally done with any Husqvarna product from here on and am seriously considering suing the company. That mower was a piece of junk from the start! I would also like to add that all I have is the card last four on which I am still paying ** and model number # Model # YTH23V48. I believe this company should reimburse each and every customer for whatever Husqvarna product they were unlucky enough to purchase. Absolutely terrible products and even worse service!

RZ4621 Zero Turn Mower - I have one season on a brand new machine. 3 clutches, 3 belts, two tension springs, one pulley and one pulley pedestal and I still cannot keep the belt on. The dealer and Husqvarna do not recognize that there is a problem. One thing I do know and that is I am becoming a very experienced Husqvarna mechanic. I purchased this unit because I have weed trimmers, chainsaw and a Husqvarna rototiller that have all been very good. I thought their mowers would be no different. Yesterday I went and purchased a new Deere zero turn mower to replace this one as I am sick and tired of fighting with this one. The Deere has to be better. It cant be any worse.

My husband and I purchased a Husqvarna YT H2042 20.0 gross horsepower 540 cc Briggs & Stratton engine riding lawn mower from Lowes in our neighbor town. We thought we were purchasing a good quality mower, but we were wrong. We purchased with a 0 interest for 18 months and before we had it paid off the problems started. The mower would not pull itself - totally stopped. First repair cost $400.00 - the valve was bad. That repair lasted about two weeks. Took it back to the repairman. The mower would not start - starter was bad. Another $400.00 repair bill. Asked why all the problems, answer was mowers just arent made like they were. That repair lasted about 6-7 months. The mower would not start or move again. Took it to a different repair place another $350.00 repair. The starter, battery (which we were told was the wrong size for the mower but was the same that came on it), belts were bad and the engine was making a noise. This repair lasted again about 6 months. The mower stopped pulling itself and the engine sounded terrible. Fourth repair cost $498.00 the engine had moved around some way and the belts were bad again, the starter was bad again, the engine mounts had to be drilled out and reweld so everything would line up correctly. We have cables laying on the cutting deck from rewiring repairs. Again it lasted about 6 months and now we have a mower setting in the garage that will not pull itself again. Very very bad product. The warranty covers nothing. Lowes needs to stop selling these products.

I purchased a Husqvarna string trimmer model 327 LDx-series from Amazon in September 2014. I only used it twice, drained the non-ethanol gas each time and when I went to use it August 29 it would start, but then died when I tried to trim. I contacted Husqvarnas customer service number, 800-487-5951, and they told me I needed to take it to a certified Husqvarna dealer. Took it there and was advised that Husqvarna wont cover it because where I bought the product didnt register it, so its not covered. So I call Husqvarnas back, speak to Dawn, who was totally unhelpful, and recommends I take it to a different service center. I said why, I have it at a recommended repair shop, why would I take it somewhere else? You want me to drive all over for same result? Dawn continues to say well its probably not under warranty. Finally I call Amazon who apologized for the situation and fully refunded my purchase. Go Amazon, love you, and GOODBYE Husqvarna, my first and LAST experience ever with your products!!! Hard lesson, but grateful that Amazon stands by their customers and protects their purchases, lesson learned: Dont buy Husqvarna ever. Back to Echo for me.

I bought a LGT 2554 from Lowes in Muncie, In.. They also sold me a push plow for snow. The first winter I started pushing snow and broke the frame where the transaxle met. Called Lowes, they had a dealer come out and re-weld the frame (needless to say, I didnt have my tractor for the rest of the winter). The following summer I was mowing my yard for the first time that summer and again, broke the frame where they welded it. Called Husqvarna and complained. They had another guy come up from Milroy, In. to get it and fix it. I got to looking at the frame. It is a one piece stamped into the whole frame with a long throw off then bolted down. Got to looking at John Deere and Cubcadets and they both had a L piece angle iron running from the frame to the transaxle. I told the guy in Milroy about it and he got to checking it out. So that is how he fixed my Husqvarna. He was telling me that that tractor had too much torque for that frame. I have been pushing a lot of snow for 3 years now on that setup without a single breakage. Told Husqvarna about how to fix it, and they just simply said they would look into it.

Husqvarna 173cc 21 Kohler Rear Bag Rear Propelled Lawn Mower - Ive had this mower for 2 1/2 years. It was purchased in the middle of summer 2011. It did not last from June until October and I had to take it in for service. I replaced the Carb 6 months later; first time mowing after winter, I replaced Carb again. It was not under warranty this time so it cost me $140. It didnt LAST the summer and I had to pay to rebuild the Carb. Today, the first time mowing this year, I have to take it in to REPLACE THE CARB. And yes, I have used Sta-Bil in the gas. Do yourself a favor. STAY AWAY from Husqvarna.

Bought a brand new husqvarna lawn tractor 26 hp 54 inch deck. Right off the bat, this thing has been hard to start. Dealer says nothing is wrong with it. You kill the battery cranking on it, then boost it and crank some more and more till it finally starts. Once youve started and ran it a little, it starts ok until it sits long enough to cool down. Then its back to wearing out the starter again to get it to fire up.

Lawnmower 775BBC 21 rear-drive purchased 10/13. Ran great out of the box. Second mowing this spring, the blade-drive brake spring broke; visible inclusion at break. Disassembled and found out just how shoddy this thing is built. Everything under the deck is exceptionally cheap and lightweight. Nice paint-job, though. Repaired spring. Chief complaint has to do with design. You show this wonderful machine a picture of damp grass and it completely plugs. Have to hose it out, tons of chewed-up grass, big mess. Tilt it on its side to do so and it will not restart; wait an hour. In 3-4 of damp (not by any means wet) grass, it plugs in about 15 minutes. This is using the side chute, dont know how the bagger works. Deck washdown feature is utterly useless. The rear-drive differential consistently locks up when pulling backwards. Oh and the chute falls off at the slightest provocation. When I was a kid, Husqvarna was one of the names any self-respecting dirtbiker lusted after. I dont know if their other products suffer from the same globalization disease and I will not be finding out. Four hundred bucks shot on a piece of equipment that will not do what it was supposedly designed for. This aint rocket science, folks.

In 2012, I purchased a self-propelled Husqvarna 22-inch lawn mower. What attracted me to the product was the 3 year unconditional 2 pull to start warranty. I thought that was unambiguous, but found I was wrong. I used the mower 5 times in 2012, then siphoned the gasoline out of it and ran the carburetor dry before storing it for the winter. In the spring, I put gasoline in the mower, started it up and it ran for only 15 minutes before stalling. It never started again. I called Husqvarna and was treated like the village idiot on the telephone. I was told I would have to pay to have the mower engine and carburetor rebuilt to prove it was under warranty. Seriously? So I took the mower back to Lowes, where I had purchased it, and arranged to have the unit evaluated by Husqvarna. I was forced to sign a contract stating I would pay $85 toward the repairs (forced, as in, you sign this and make this guarantee or we wont even look at the mower). Weeks pass with no word. Then, yesterday, I received a call from the Lowes evaluation team telling me the mower was not covered by warranty for the following reasons: 1) There was gasoline in the carburetor... seriously, they voided the warranty because the carburetor had gasoline in it after the mower would not start. 2) There was evidence the unit had been used because the oil had not been changed. In other words, my used lawn mower with only a year on its unconditional warranty was not covered by that warranty because it was used. Sorry, but that sounds like a condition to me. Now they want to charge me 2/3 of the cost of the original purchase to repair the carburetor, an integral part of the starting system, which is not allowing the mower to start but somehow this is not covered by the unconditional warranty. This company is a cheat. They lie, they overcharge for shoddy equipment which does not live up to even the most basic of use, and they refuse to cooperate with or support their customers. Oh, and the $85 pre-repair fee? They now call that an evaluation fee even though the repair contract doesnt say squat about evaluation fees and it is now up to me to fight my credit card company to cancel that fee. Talk about adding insult to injury. Conclusion: Do not, under any circumstances, buy a Husqvarna anything! If you do, assume the warranty is useless and that it will fail within a year.

LGTH22V48 - Bought mower new. Mowed my sparse lawn a few times and started to have issues with clods of cut grass falling from underside of mower deck where grass was packing excessively. When these clods fell into spinning blades the mower would bog and several times (5) the mower actually stalled (full engine stop). The last time it happened the left side blade arbor sheared all four mounting ears and tore out of the deck. This caused the belt to tear itself up, ruining it. I took mower to dealer who inspected and cleaned it trying to find cause. Dealer confirmed to me that he found NO indication of abuse/blade strike and in fact the broken arbor carried the least nicked blade of the 3. After several days dealer informed me that warranty was denied citing operator abuse. I was left with the bill and no resolution to the mower deck packing issue. I posted a summary of this issue on Husqvarnas facebook page and have had contact but no resolution to my complaint. Today after mowing my yard for the 2nd time since the repair I scraped out the mower deck and out came a pile of highly compacted grass 10 high and 23 across at the base. More than half of a five gallon pails worth! The packing issue persists with no resolution in sight.

I purchased the Husqvarna 48 inch riding mower at Lowes. After the first cut I noticed my lawn did not look evenly cut. One side was a little higher than the other. I called Lowes and the associate said that maybe because it was the first cut the riding lawn mower needed some minor adjustments. I took it to a lawn mower repair service close to my home and dropped it off. After a week I went back and ended up paying $78.00 to have them tell me either the deck was bent or there may be some problems with the pulleys and or deck/parts. They said they really wasnt sure. So I emailed Husqvarna and explained everything. As being a concerned consumer I had waited over 5 months and still have not heard a reply back.

I bought a Zero turn Husqvarna Z246 mower, had it 33 days, 6.3 hrs on the hour meter and the transmission went out on both sides. Called customer service and was told to take it back to Lowes and they would replace it with a new one. So I returned it back and the store manager asked if I had a return authorization number and I said she didnt give me one. So he calls Husqvarna customer service and was told that since it was 3 days past the 30 day return they would not authorize the exchange. So I spoke to the woman on the phone and she would not authorize it because it was past the 30 days even just by 3 days. So I asked to speak with someone above her and she said it would be a waste of my time because they would say the same and would not authorize the exchange either. So I asked for her name and employee number and she would not give me her first name and stated that employees are not given employee numbers - like I believe that. So I left with a new broken mower. I will never buy another Husqvarna product ever.

I researched all brands and bought this one even though I was skeptical after seeing the tractor in person. It was a plastic piece of junk. It scalped the grass even though the deck was leveled at the dealer twice. Uneven cut and forget about going around a corner on a slight angle. One side was cut down to the dirt while the other side was 3 inches high.I tried everything and still good. Putting the deck lift handle on the left side is ok if you are left handed but It was impossible to raise while moving with my not dominate left hand. No power steering was another mistake that I made. I actually sprained my wrist trying to make a close turn and I am 6ft. 230 lbs. I paid for the mulching kit but it threw so much grass up over the top of the tractor I had to take off the mulching plus and use it with no diffuser. The dealer was very co-operative but after having the tractor for only 3 days I paid a 10% restocking fee and that along with losing the sales tax cost me nearly $600.00. I called Husqvarna and got no return call. I bought a Cub Cadet and paid more but it is a world of difference better.

I purchased this mower in May and in October it stopped working. it had been pretty solid until then with the one exception that the self propelled drive belt kept coming off and I had to remove the pulley and re-thread the belt each time. After it failed in October (wouldnt start) I took it in for service and they told me the oil was low and the motor had burned up. I had checked a few times over the Summer but had not been checking religiously with each use. After considering it a bit I think I know what happened. I had to tip the mower each time I fixed the belt and Im guessing the last time oil must have leaked out the air filter or into the cylinder. It never occurred to me to check the oil again after putting the belt back into the pulley. Long story short the warranty tech looked at it and said its user error for running the unit low on oil so its a total loss. Kiss that 400 bucks goodbye. I can see their argument but Im pretty unhappy that tipping the mower to fix the belt that kept jumping off resulted in trashing the motor. Anyway, Im off Husqvarna for life. I replaced it with a Toro and Im getting ready to buy a snowblower - a Craftsman.

I have an old push mower from ~2010 with the blade brake and everything including a Honda motor. Just this last year, a few parts have started to wear out like the cables. It should be simple, cheap fixes, but Husqvarna has a lot of plastic parts and have discontinued producing many of them. This has left me with a mower that runs well, cuts well, and works well, but due to a single $15 cable the mower is trash (or I am left with some bad DIY fix). This mower has been a beast, so reliable and dependable and has performed well beyond expectations, but I never imagined I wouldnt be able to replace a simple $15 cable after 10 years... Im probably off to Toro where they keep running for 20+ years and parts are still available.

Tried contacting Poulan eight hundred number and this is your worst nightmare. Bottom line, I have a blower that is now technically out of way because my unit sat at a so called approved repair store that apparently was not approved. I recently bought a Husqvarna MZ 54 that was a left over year old model from a local dealer (not a big box store). Because it was not the current model I picked it up for $4400, which is a real bargain. I looked at all the major brands including John Deere, Gravely, Hustler, Snapper, Toro, ExMark, Cub Cadet, and Ariens. Honestly, they all seemed like quality mowers. I settled on the Husqvarna because of price and features that were only available on more expensive models. In addition, the 4 year bumper to bumper warranty is one of the best. The cut quality is fantastic. I have a little over an acre of thick, St Augustine grass. My old mower, a Husqvarna YTH24K54 tractor, just couldnt handle it, and it took me about 3 hours to get a satisfactory cut, which usually required a double cut. The ZT made a full 54 single pass perfect cut. My first cut grass was about 7 and there were no stragglers left standing, no clumping, and no windrows. I was able to get the job complete in an hour! The grass was cut even, no scalping, very fine discharge, and even a striped look. Blade speed is listed at 18,500 FPM which is among the fastest of the brands shopped. Some were as low as 16,500 and others upwards of 19,000. Blade speed is a big factor in quality and speed of cut. The seat is quite comfortable. Though not an elaborate suspension, the feel is very nice, and a ride that is not rough. The armrests and high back seat make it a comfortable ride. The deck is very sturdy and well built. Although some of the other brands had 10 Ga fabricated decks, the Husqvarna is 11 Ga but has a reinforced rim and seems quite stout. One thing I noticed is that when you step on the deck, there is no movement. Other brands, especially the Cub Cadet, moved a great deal. Access to the belts and spindles (for greasing) is simple and requires just removing the foot panel. The spindles are heavy duty cast iron and are greasable, as opposed to sealed. Deck is easily adjustable from 1.5 to 4.5 inches in 1/4 inch increments. The front casters are huge 6x13 which is great on your turf. Caster and front wheel bearings are also greaseable. 22x10 rear tires give great traction and are also kind to your lawn. There are 4 anti scalp wheels, which is comparable to other brands. The biggest plus is that the Husqvarna has the wheels supported on both sides. Most other brands just have one support arm for each wheel, which makes them much more susceptible to damage if something is hit. ZT 3100 transaxles are heavier duty than most of the mowers in this class and provide a max speed of 8.5 MPH. 5 gallon gas tank is equal to or larger than most in its class. I found I could get about 4 hours of cutting time on a full tank of gas.The Kawasaki, 24 HP V Twin provides all the power you need for heavy grass and hills. The engine starts easily and quickly and normally needs no choke. Servicing is easy with a simple threaded cap that allows draining the oil with no mess. In addition, for an engine of this size, it is not as loud as others I have looked at. My property does have a fairly large slope and some rougher areas. None of this is a problem for this mower at all. Steering is very responsive, and does take some getting used to. However, with just a bit of practice it is very easy to drive and actually makes grass cutting enjoyable. The ROPS is nice to have, though for me, was not a factor either way. However, having it does make it safer. This is a heavy machine, at 845 lbs, and quite a bit heavy than most other in its class. There are only a couple of negatives which were not an issue for me. This model does not come with lights, which quite a few of the other makes did. For me, I never cut after dark, so it was a none issue. They do have light kits available if that is something that the buyer needs. Also, the location of the parking brake is very poor, because it is on the left side, which is normally where I get off the mower, and often bump the brake off. For 21 models, this is not an issue because they have the automatic parking brake that engages when you move the steering levers out. It does not come with a hitch for towing, but they are available for about $25 and install easily. This mower is certainly a prosumer class machine, and would be quite acceptable for commercial use. It was not purchased from a big box store, so it was fully assembled and tested prior to delivery, by technicians that know what they are doing. (It also came with a full tank of gas!) I have read some negative comments regarding Husqvarna machines not purchased from a dealer, and in many cases it seems as if the issues were with assembly, or pre-delivery inspections/adjustments. With a 4 year, bumper to bumper warranty, I feel that shows a confidence in a products quality. This is a great mower and I highly recommend it.

OUR HUSQVARNA LGT 2654 Rear axle has broken twice now. It has been in the repair shop over a month now. The repairman says he is having trouble getting parts to fix it. He has replaced the rear seal 3 times and it continues to leak fluid. I am at my wits end with the tractor. Has there been any kind of recall on these tractors.

Bought a mower from Lowes just around 3 years ago. Have had problems with it since the first time I mowed. Husqvarna will not back my warranty. The mower was dropped off at Lowe’s for a repair of deck issues 2 weeks short of warranty deadline. The subcontractor keep my mower for 2 months and submitted to Husqvarna numerous times for repairs unfortunately the transmission was bad. Now they say it’s out of warranty and it will cost more than it’s worth. So since it’s not fixable according to my warranty it should be replaced at no cost. But now they refuse and I’ve had to pick up a piece of junk for a yard ornament. DO NOT BUY HUSQVARNA!

Bought AWD Husqvarna mower at Ace Hardware less than 2 years ago. Brought it home, gassed it up and would not start. Took it back and they messed with it and put premium no ethanol gas in it. Back home it started. I rarely use this mower as a yardman usually mows my lawn, but I use it to tidy up. The mower has been used maybe 4 times. I have used it once this year on 05-10-2015 and tried to use it today 05-22-2015. The AWD is not working. The cable is loose and will not empower the AWD. The thing is impossible to push without the AWD. This mower has not worked properly from the git-go and I should have asked for my money back. Now I have to somehow load this heavy thing up and take it to a repair shop. I am 75 years old and wish I had bought a cheap mower from Wal-Mart as I have done in the past and had no problems with them, plus Wal-Mart will return your money if returned in a timely manner. Ace did not want to do this and they are local and I live in a small town, but I should have stood my ground and insisted on a refund.

In October 2016 I purchased a Husqvarna 125BVX Leaf Blower from Lowes. After 13 months of use it refused to start. I replaced the spark plug and still no start. I checked the compression with my thumb over the plug hole while pulling the rope and thought it was low. I took it to my local Husqvarna repair shop and was told in fact the blower had 55 lbs of compression, about half what it was supposed to. It has a two year warranty but was told that since I didnt purchase it there they would have to disassemble the blower and send pictures to Husqvarna to see if they would repair it under warranty. If they did I would have to pay for the repairs and file a claim with the company to get re-reimbursed. I thanked them and took the blower with me. I then took it to Lowes and they sent it to their authorized repair center. The center called after about a week and informed me that the blower had been operated with improper lubrication and with water in the fuel mix. Both things I knew to be incorrect. They told me it would cost me $207.00 to replace the piston and rings and rebuild the carburetor. I told them I could replace it cheaper than that just send it back unrepaired. I went to pick it up and was presented with a $61.00 bill for diagnosis. I told them to just keep the blower for the fee and they couldnt do that. Lowes marked the fee off and gave me the blower back. It has no evidence of being disassembled. I contacted Husqvarna customer service and they stood behind the incorrect diagnosis, and said they were sorry. So now I have replaced it with another brand. I wouldnt recommend buying anything with the Husqvarna name on it. It seems that they will come up with any kind of lame excuse to refuse to do warranty repairs.

We bought the weed trimmer at Lowes after comparing many brands and styles. I already owned a Husqvarna leaf blower and have been very pleased. The weed trimmer was light, quiet, and very easy to use. The string feed is a major improvement over other styles offered by other manufacturers. It only takes a light push on the ground to advance the string. It starts easily and has a lot of power for a 2 cycle. I will definitely purchase other power tools from Husqvarna in the future.

I bought a new Husqvarna lawn tractor model #YTH22V42 just over a month ago and the second time I used it, the mower blade drive belt came off. I re-installed it and continued mowing, but it came off again. I repeated this one more time and then I parked the mower. I had the dealer pick the mower up the following week and told the dealer that the belt kept coming off. He did not ask me any questions about circumstance or time used. The tractor was in their shop for 6 days. When they returned the tractor to me, they gave me a bill for $131 for parts (new belt), repair, and pickup/delivery. The dealer called me later that day and told me I was supposed to pay the bill and that the repair was not covered under the warranty. When asked why they would not cover the repair under the warranty, the dealer said the belt came off due to operator error, that I had re-installed it incorrectly, and that basically I had ruined the belt. However, the belt was not ruined when they picked up the mower and I noted this. In fact, it still looked new. I disputed this claim to the Husqvarna customer support and submitted that the belt was either installed incorrectly to begin with or was the wrong belt. I spent over 30 minutes on hold only to have the Husqvarna customer support person say that they would have their Warranty department review the claim and call me back in 1-2 business days. They did not. I am very disappointed with both the Dealer and the Manufacturer. I will never buy another Husqvarna product, nor will I ever patronize the Dealer, Robinsons Western Auto in Starkville, Mississippi.

I purchased a brand new Husqvarna MZT 61. When I got it home, I got used to the controls for about 10 minutes and started to cut. The mower was cutting nicely and then abruptly the blades disengaged and smoke was coming from under and behind. The clutch completely failed. The dealer had a loaner for me to use. Not sure how often this happens but very inconvenient and trust is shot. Waiting for the part. Should I demand a new mower? Has anyone else had the same problem? What was the outcome? Hopefully not years of more problems.

I was unfortunate enough to buy a LZ5225 with the rear discharge deck...2 hours in and the motor throws a rod. 4 hours on the meter and the drive belt shreds. 5 belts later (average about 12 hrs per belt - belts cost $90 bucks), the spindle locks up. So far this mower has been broken much more than it ran. I thought this was a lemon but the dealer or factory was not interested in making things right. Have bought a Husq LT 1597 ride-on mower and for the past 2 years the cutter belt keeps running off the pulleys when the disengage lever is used. The mower shop comes, takes mower away for 3 weeks, and returns with belt in place and charges $300. This has been going on every 2nd month for 2 years. The belt when disengaged flops around and the engine pulley continues to rotate which pulls the belt up and off the rear tensioner pulley. The design here is really bad. The belt should be pulled off the engine pulley. Nope they disengage at the cutter plate. Drrrrrrrr, off the course the belt will continue to rotate as it is still in contact with the engine pulley. This is very dangerous as the cutters are meant to be disengaged but the belt is still thrashing around. Afraid this is the first and last Husq. The service sucks at $300 to put a belt on, of course this is not a warranty issue. Well it is a customer satisfaction issue.

I bought a Husqvarna 2654, three years ago. While cutting the grass, the tractor stopped moving. I discovered a broken rear axle. I contacted Lowes, only to be told that the axle could not be replaced. I would need to replace the whole transaxle. I made several calls to Husqvarna asking questions. They also told me, that these axles could not be replaced. They told me that I needed a $1,200.00 transaxle. After three days of phone calls, I discovered that the axle, as well as transaxles, were made by a company called Tuff Torque. When I called them, (a number which Husqvarna refused to give me), they explained to me that each and every transaxle they sell can be worked on, and the axle I needed could be replaced. The cost of the axle, seal needed, and shipping was only $45.00, and the female I spoke with on the phone, had the knowledge to explain everything I needed to know to fix the problem. She explained that if it has bolts, it is not a sealed unit, as reported by Husqvarna, and could be taken apart. The part arrived in two days, and it took about two hours to fix. When I called the Husqvarnas home office, and spoke to a person identified as a vice president, I explained what I had been told by the company, and he agreed. Then, I explained what I had been told by Tuff Torque. He seemed surprised. I then told him that I had made the repairs myself, (I am no mechanic, but this was a simple job). He started stammering and stuttering. A couple of weeks later, I received a gift certificate in the mail from Husqvarna, which I promptly threw away. I will never buy another thing from Husqvarna, nor Lowes. In my opinion, they are both nothing but con artists, ripping the Americans off. If you, or anyone you know has a problem with these mowers, dont believe Husqvarna, nor Lowes, and dont believe the authorized dealers and service centers either, as they are trained by Husqvarna, and the mechanics are told and trained that these axles con not be fixed, so they are not allowed to even attempt it. After logging in more that 50 more run hours this past summer, I am pleased to report that the axle that could not be replaced, according to Husqvarna, is still working just fine. My hat is off to a company called Tuff Torque, for good old honesty, and for the help.

Took it back for service, needs a carb. Week later, its ready to go. Ten minutes of use, no power. Needs a gas cap. The top of the line mower blows a belt at 75 hours and has blown three in six months. Belts are $110.00 a piece but they are covered under warranty for now. Second blower now needs a gas cap because its leaking all over. Again, covered by warranty. First blower has been setting in the garage and hasnt been used. But the reason Im writing this is because the second blower has just completely come apart and the service guy said to throw it in the trash. Husqvarna replaced it under warranty with a new one. The unit overheats after about 10 to 15 minutes of use and dies, wont start again until it cools. Unit comes with a worthless warranty from the manufacturer. No factory authorized dealer will service a unit under warranty unless you bought it from them. Why would Husqvarna authorize someone unwilling to do the job? Calls to the manufacturer require 2 hours on the phone dancing around with them on one please hold after another only to be told that refurbished units only carry a 30-day warranty.Tried explaining their authorized refurbished seller has a 90-day manufacturer warranty spelled out on their eBay to no avail. VMInnovations claims it is only warrantied by the manufacturer so I guess nobody warranties Husqvarna anything. An item being refurbished should be just that but it should be thoroughly checked to make sure its ok. I purchased an all wheel drive Husqvarna mower from Lowes and it was a good reliable lawn mower for about a year, after that I started having problems with the transmission. I ended up pushing more than it went forward on its own (it went very slow). The 3rd season (still under warranty) I brought it in for repair and the service center said it was used commercially and not used for residential cutting so they said it was abused. I had a Toro for 20 years and it was still running when I got rid of it. I live on a half-acre so theres a lot of grass but I dont own a lawn maintenance service and I do not let anybody else mow with my lawn mower. I also dont know how you abuse a transmission, the outside of a lawnmower is just fine and so is the oil and it starts up just fine. I called Husqvarna to dispute it but they said they stand by the repair centers judgment since they cant see the lawn mower. They sent me a $50 gift certificate to go use at the service center. I never brought the lawn mower in for any repairs, this would be the only warranty issue and they still would not cover it. I do not recommend Husqvarna.

Riding mower serial #031915A056372 - Bought riding mower from Lowes. Husqva
Riding mower serial #031915A056372 - Bought riding mower from Lowes. Husqvarna mower was recommended by salesman. The mower was purchased on 5/2015. It worked beautifully for 2 seasons. However on June 4 2017, my son cut the front half of the yard with no issues. When he got to the last half of the yard, the mower started making a horrible sound. My son disengaged the deck and jumped off of the mower, thinking that it was going to explode. After waiting several minutes, we tried to start it up again. It started right up but had an even worse grinding noise, complete with a horrible vibration. He immediately turned it off and we had to push the mower up the hill to the garage. I called Lowes warranty number and after 2 days the local repair shop picked it up. Today they call me and say that the deck is completely busted loose along with the PTO clutch. Numerous other pieces and parts missing (there were no pieces found in my yard) and that the mower was abused or used commercially and is therefore not covered under warranty. The mower has always been garaged kept, fluids check and changed regularly. I told the repair shop that there is nothing in the almost 2 acres that could have ripped off the deck and clutch. No damage could be seen anywhere on the mower, no scratches or dents, just the deck and clutch hanging. Right now, nothing is covered under warranty. Im responsible for repairs. $2000.00 thrown out the window. There is no way that I would pay for repairs on this thing. Ill put the money on a new, different mower.

I have been very disappointed in the all wheel drive mower. I have a steep hill to mow and for over 25 years I have used Honda self propelled mowers without a problem pulling the hill. My Honda was in the shop and I needed a mower so I purchased the all wheel drive model - thinking it would work better on my hill. I used it three or four times and the mower stopped pulling, even on level ground. I took it back to dealer and it was repaired. Unfortunately, after it was repaired the same issue developed. The mower would not pull, even on level ground. Back to dealer for repair again. On its best day, this mower has not pulled as well as my Honda. I have two Husqvarna Rancher chainsaws and other Husqvarna products that I am very pleased with. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend an AWD all wheel drive mower. Based on other reviews, I am not the only person having issues with this model. I would hope that Husqvarna would research the issue I, and others are having, and provide a solution. I have no issue with the cranking or bagging with this unit. I do have an issue in having to push a self propelled mower on level ground.

Nov 2014 I bought the Husqvarna GT52XLS riding mower for $3299.95 from Eastern Truck Equipment in Boonsboro, MD because the local dealer would not be able to deliver for four months. Oct 2015 I took it to the Western Power in Needville TX which is a Husqvarna service provider because the mower did not move after a ½ hour of use. Service man said the belt was glazed and he replaced it under warranty.Feb 2017 I took it to Aztec Rental which is a different Husqvarna service provider because the mower did not move after a ½ hour of use. Service man said the belt was glazed and I paid to replace it. After the first use the original problem appeared and I took it back, and they determined that it was a faulty Hydro-Guard transmission. The transmission has only a two year warranty so they said it was not covered. To replace the transmission it would cost approximately $1400.00 plus labor which make it questionable the economic sense to replace it. The unit has only 47.2 hours of use.

I had the same experience as Nico from Chico-starting a new business, I went to Lowes and got the Rancher. I took it back and got a new one because it didnt start. I have been putting up with stubborn starts since March. Today I wasted half an hour wearing myself out before I called the customer care number. I waited on hold another half hour, so I put the speaker on and spent that time trying to start it. Right now I am waiting for the manager to call back. That just lost me a lucrative job for the day. Now I have to call and postpone a landscape job because I am waiting for this callback. In April I purchased the Husky 525LK commercial trimmer and the PA100 pole saw attachment. I scheduled some jobs which I had to cancel because when I tested it, the pole saw chain would not turn. I took it to the dealer, which is Montana Power Products (who have also looked at the 455 and couldnt find anything wrong, and they agreed it was hard to start). They said it had the wrong sprocket. That is, the genius on the factory floor grabbed a sprocket that was probably in a bin in an entirely different part of the factory on a separate line for a smaller product and put it on a commercial product. What kind of idiot does Husqvarna hire? Maybe I should apply for a job THERE!Because so far, this has lost me probably $6000 in lost wages, not to mention preventing me from working around my own house. They tell me no when I ask if I dont have a reasonable expectation that my big-ticket items will work. The tractor is nice. I was surprised I didnt have to take it back the first time I tried to use it, though. I am asking them for compensation and will pursue a small claim.

Im in the army and we purchased a riding mower. It ran fine in the first 5 times it was used, then the last time we had used it the engine started clanking and puffing white smoke after giving it some throttle. We turned it off and checked the oil, gas, filter and plug. All were good and no problems. Took the blades off to replace them then put them back on. Now it wont start!! No spark to the plug either. What could possibly be wrong with a practically new lawn mower??!!

I bought the Husqvarna Brand 125B leaf blower thinking I was buying quality, but I was awakened by the fact that this company doesnt stand by their product, and that the leaf blower I bought is pure junk. I used it 4 times for my small yard, at periods of less than 10 minutes each time (estimated), and the blower stopped functioning. I tried to return it to Home Depot, but it was past their 90 day return policy. Home Depot recommend I take the blower to my nearest dealer, which I did, but, they were 12 weeks out. Meaning they couldnt work on it until then. So, my dealer told me to call Husqvarna to see if they could return it. Husqvarna said no, but they could recommend another repair shop about 50 miles away. I will never ever buy anything from this company again. The dealer happens to be a small local outfit which cannot keep up the demand of bad product from Husqvarna. This is what they told me, and after buying this piece of crap, I believe them. I recommend buying another brand!

After 3 more bolt replacement I ask for a new deck with double brackets (the 2020 model) to hold the wheel on. Husqvarna refused. The service center feels they are using any excuse they can not to pay a claim. Ive tried to escalate but they refuse to listen or forward me to a higher authority.

Fuel line replaced; Carb jets cleaned; Carb replaced; Fuel tank replaced (dealer found Filter Screen never installed at assembly). So far the initial purchase price has been exceeded by the cost of repair not to mention the inconvenience of no mower... Father-in-Law has cut my grass 5 times so far this season with his HRX Honda. Mower model 206128961 - Bought 1/22/2016. No oil drain plug. Must flip mower almost upside down to drain. Plastic oil hole cap cant provide a tight seal. Fine threads in the oil hole but very coarse threads on cap - Result is Oil leakage when operating. Kohler has other engines with a oil filler tube assembly that provides a tight seal. This engine on this mower was made to Husqvarna specs. It appears Husqvarna eliminated the more expensive oil tube assembly to increase their profit. This is the LAST Husqvarna product I will buy.

May 27th 2013, I had purchased a brand new Husqvarna yth2348 riding mower the hour meter just turned 49 hrs yesterday on May 26 2014 as I was mowing my lawn for the 2nd time this year, as I was tuning a corner I heard a weird noise. I looked down at the mower and seen 3/4 of the mower deck hanging out of the passenger side of the mower. I put the parking brake on went to step down and the belt flew off and waked me in the left ankle making the side of my foot go numb shut the mower down and found that the welds holding the brackets on the mower deck broke right off, as a welder/mechanic by trade of 30 yrs. There were welds that didnt take the welds were rusted 3/4 percent only leaving maybe a 1/16 of an inch holding the brackets to the deck. Went to the hospital for my foot which I can no longer feel my big toe and the side of my foot, Dr. says possible nerve damage. I called sears and Husqvarna and explained to them what had happened. I do have a witness that seen this happen. I will say I will never buy another Husqvarna product as they have cheapened their products, no quality control cheap porous welds. I am now getting the atty. gen and my own atty involved. Buyers Beware.

This new machine of mine is operated by a lever on the fender, and keeps moving until the lever is moved to neutral, or the brake is engaged. Which responds as though encountering a wall. So, I have a question; how did the Consumer Protection folks let this design pass review? Any thoughts?

Bought a Husqvarna YTH18542 Lawn Tractor from Lowe’s. After the first use, I found the parking brake would not lock in the on position. This is a safety issue, the mower could roll into someone or something. The problem was a pin or clip that joins the locking mechanism to the brake mechanism was missing. Whether it had fallen out or was never installed I don’t know. Called Lowe’s, they were great and replaced the tractor. Took the new one out, used it for two hours and guess what? Same thing. Contacted Husqvarna. Useless. “Take it to a dealer or we can send a part and you can fix it yourself”. No interest in trying to determine if it’s a design or quality issue. Thank God they don’t make aircraft!

I have always heard how great these saws were and went to Rural King and paid a big chunk of cash for a Rancher. I took it home and immediately put it to work cutting. That affair lasted almost 30 minutes. At that point a plastic piece attached to the chain brake snapped, just snapped without being dropped, etc. So I re-packed it in its fresh box and returned it to the store that same day. They tried to talk me into keeping it but I argued that at this rate it will have broken dozens of times before it even gets to the warranty expiration date. I was done with Husky--or so I thought. Last year (5 years later) I needed an affordable simple push mower for rough cutting of rough areas around my yard area. I bought a Poulan Pro and used it for almost exactly a season. At that point it was smoking to the point I had watering eyes and actually made loud rattling noises when running. My last mower was an MTD and I used that for ten seasons doing the rough mowing. 10 to 1, are you kidding? Then on this website just today, I see Poulan Pro is made by Husky. No surprises there! Finally, I tried contacting Poulan Pro and it was exasperating to the point I gave up (which is probably their intention).

Ive bought a 1998 350 and a 2008 445 chainsaws this year. Ive had the privilege of finally getting a 2009 455 Rancher last month, all from pawnshops this year because thats all I can afford. They all have been well used and abused, I fixed a few things, disassembled them, cleaned them and they all run every time a need one to feed myself. I looked at all the boards and all the reviews and I think some of the bad reviews are from people that have no experience with simple repairs. Ive had an oil pump failure on the 350, I pulled the pump, cleaned it. Replaced the $8.00 plastic gear and moved on with my life. I didnt pay $120 to a service center or get upset and post a angry review calling all Husqvarnas junk. I can not speak to the quality of a new saw because I never had one but I can personally speak for the used Husqvarna saws with some personal information about my own situation. Im happy with the ones a have and my new 455 Rancher....well new to me. The 455 is a beast. Its my pride and joy. I love it and we have a great relationship. I care for it and treat it like its my child. I give it only the proper fuel and oil and bath it regularly at the end of the day before bed. Its leaks some oil but hey, what 5 yr old child doesnt leak overnight? In return it allows me to WORK, this winter it will keep me warm. If you pay $419.00 plus tax for a saw and you have problems with it I can understand being a little angry but dont trash Husqvarna because the product went down or is having an issue, at least you didnt have to work all month to buy a used one at a pawnshop. If I ever get a new 455 Ill let you know what quality it is in ten years because I wont be complaining to a dealer or a forum about how my toy broke and mommy wont buy me a new one and they all are junk because mine broke. If you dont like you new junk saw send it my way and Ill send you a picture of it in ten years when Im still using it. Oil pumps go down, bolts fall out, my favorite I heard was the saws are junk. If they all are junk then how come I paid my child support this week with my well used junk? Junk doesnt pay your bills. The information forums should be for information not venting... Wait thats what Im doing 8-(. I guess because when I hear someone say all are junk because the one that was GIVEN as a gift to me wasnt perfect I get a little angered. Again if you do not like your new 455 Ill take it off your hands gladly. For people who are truly having problems out of your new saws I truly feel for you, I have the advantage of never being able to afford an overpriced shop repair bill so when one goes down I fix it myself very simply. Cost me little of nothing because my labor is free and the saw was already well used so I didnt take the hit as hard as you did. If you will ask some of the people on the forums how to fix your problem, Im sure most of those guys would be very happy to help and the people putting Husqvarna chainsaw repair videos on YouTube makes most repair tasks very simple. Again I see the biggies in the Husqvarna saw is the cheap plastic oil gear but hey it does say Rancher on the side and not xp. Husqvarna provided a product for $400 and it is a good $400 product, notice I didnt say $1000 product? All in all I would buy another 455 Rancher in a minute if I come across one, in fact if I can get an opportunity to get a brand new one later this year you better believe Ill jump on it because I trust the product. In fact I trust it so much Ill bet my next meal on it....oh wait I do.

I had a similar situation to some of those Im reading here. Bought a Husqvarna riding mower at Lowes with an extended 3 year warranty. Worked fine for two seasons, this year all of a sudden a loud clunk noise and the mower started smoking. We shut it down immediately and called for service. The repair facility fixed it and sent it to Husqvarna and they denied the claim, saying we had to have run over something or hit an object in the yard and it wasnt covered. We didnt hit anything and there is NO damage to the blades, but apparently that doesnt matter. Wish I would have seen this site sooner and would have never bought the mower. Will never own another Husqvarna product again, and Im not real happy with Lowes at this point either who got an additional $200 for a warranty that seems will never be honored. Right after purchase, had a rear tire that wouldnt stop leaking air. Turned out to be a defective rim that wouldnt hold air. This should have been a warning to me what poor quality Husqvarna mowers are. After 1 year of mowing, the frame broke right where the transmission/rear wheel assembly mounts. The dealer said they had never seen this before but that Husqvarna had a kit for this problem. Right away, you know that this is a known problem if there is a kit. So after one month without a mower, got the kit installed and thought the problem was over. No, the nightmare of owning a Husqvarna mower continued. Another year and another break in the frame, this time right beside where the kit mounts. This time the dealer had the mower for 6 weeks and then told me that Husqvarna wouldnt fix it. They said it had been misused. What a joke! Misused must mean mowing a standard lawn. I guess my old Craftsman mower which mowed that same lawn for 15 years without a problem had never heard that mowing was misuse for a riding lawn mower. Needless to say, I am disgusted with the local dealer and with Husqvarna. They are still selling this piece of junk. This is a known problem, with many people reporting the same thing. If they had any integrity they would have issued a recall. So anyone thinking of purchasing a riding mower... stay clear of Husqvarna... Their customer service is terrible and they dont support what they sell.

I bought a Husqvarna Lawn Tractor lgt2554. My mower deck lasted about 6 months. I have to buy a used 1. I also bought the SNOW PACKAGE. My problem is that I went out to plow about 6-8 inches of snow last week and the right rear axle broke off. This is first time that I used this snow blade. I was on this machine about 5 minutes and the right rear axle broke. I called Husqvarna and explained what had happened. They told me that they buy different and assemble them. They had me call Tuff Torq - this is the company that purchases these rear axles for Husqvarna. The lady from Tuff Torq stated that Husqvarna builds these tractors with light duty rear axles. The manager stated that Husqvarna should have put bigger rear axles on these and that have had numerous complaints. I talked with VAN at Husqvarna he is the manager- they sent me to three repair facilities and everyone stated that this rear axle was too light for snow plowing. Then Husqvarna refused to repair my tractor.Im going down to Detroit Michigan in two weeks and Im going to meet with a large law firm. When I called the law firm for some information, they stated in the Consumers Reports that Husqvarna has a 1 1/2 approval rating on a 5 scale. The attorney asked that I call Husqvarna one more time for them to send me a new axle or for them to pay for repair of this tractor. I have a Riding Lawn Tractor from Husqvarna which has been in the shop twice since I purchased it just over two years ago. The first time was for the starter and the mower deck. Most recently the transmission wasnt working properly and ultimately it was found that the frame had cracked. Husqvarna refused to properly fix my mower citing that I must have towed something that it was not designed for, which is incorrect. After several phone calls they agreed to gift a repair kit but told me I would be responsible for the labor. The repair has not worked. I attempted to follow up with Husqvarna corporate and have been completely ignored. They used a clause of the warranty to deny my claim and did so with absolutely no evidence that I had misused my mower. They had cited that they could tell that I had a 2 tow ball on the back of the mower. I dont even own a tow ball. I purchased a Husqvarna LGT 2654 garden tractor 5/17/2014. Big mistake! Just over 2yrs later and the transmission is shot. I have just under 2 acres of land and one hill on the side of my house. The guy at Lowes where I purchased the tractor told me I need a heavy duty tractor to do my yard which that is why I purchased a garden tractor. I talked with somebody from Husqvarna and two Husqvarna dealers because I get two different stories on the warranty. I was told the warranty is only good for 2 years and then someone else tells me 3 years. Both dealers told me they would have to contact Husqvarna and Tuff Torq the manufacturer of the transmission to see if warranty would cover transmission. Good luck on that one. I had to keep calling them because they would not get back with you. Then I was told I would have to pay around $1000.00 for a new transmission. I went with Husqvarna because I thought they were a reputable company and was in business for a long time. I guess they are just to big now to care about their customers. I just finished my third mowing season with a 54 inch Husqvarna lawn tractor purchased from a dealer not a big box store. Mine has the kawasaki 26 HP engine which works fine, no issues. My problem started when I noticed the brackets that are welded to the deck were starting to tear off. I guess the weight of the deck is quite heavy for these under-engineered brackets. My old 42 craftsman lasted 5 seasons before I sold it for $500 to get this one. The brackets on that one lasted almost to end, I did weld those. We modified the Husqvarna bracket with additional supports to help with the weight. Husqvarna CTH194 Ride On Mower - Purchased the mower in France for 3750 Euros. Cut Grass 3 times and mandrel broke on all 4 lugs. Supplier said it was not covered by warranty. Purchased new one and fitted it myself. 2 cuts later, mower screeched to a halt with smoke coming from deck area. The small gear case assembly above the right pulley revealed exploded bearings (ALL MADE IN CHINA). The shop refuse to pay for it even though admitting it is a bad design. Proprietor of shop becoming more and more elusive. They tell me all that is covered by warranty is motor, chassis and gearbox. Hours on the clock 33.

Something blew up in my Husqvarna LGT2554. I bought it from Lowes. It had been returned. They said it was returned because the deck was messed up. The deck was still messed up when we bought it, but we got a discount. The transmission started going out in it in around 20 hours of use. Then I pulled it out of the shed in September for a last mow for the season and oil blew out of the engine and went everywhere. I believe it is the carburetor, but Im not sure. Warranty was out (apparently, it sat for most of the manufacturers warranty). Horrible machine. I went and bought an old Kubota and I love it!

I purchased a new Husqvarna 555 professional chainsaw, which stopped running after only 4 hours of use. After a couple of trips to the dealer, I was informed that there was a recall on a number of 555 and 562 saws. I have been waiting for weeks to get the saw repaired but parts are on indefinite back order. Husqvarna refuses to replace the product or issue a refund. I am stuck without a saw in prime tree cutting season. It is totally unacceptable and leads me to believe that they couldnt care less about the customer.

$440.00 RIP OFF - worse thing ever. Less than 2 years -- spent over 400 and it is in the shop. Part for kohler engine is back ordered. THEY SUCK. Could not get warranty - choke issue. Machine was a problem the day I bought it. Auto key start would not start it. Then broke, choke issue, fuel leak and I babied that engine. Had a craftsman for 20 years and when I got rid of it, it started on the 1st pull still, but had to go due to metal fatigue!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS WITH A KOHLER. I cannot speak for their other stuff but they assembled it and made it - HUSQVARNA. Be careful.

Until now really liked Husqvarna products but had problem with top line leaf blower. It just stopped working. Took to a husqvarna repair shop and they said to fix it probably would cost as much as a new one. Only had for 3 years and did not use hard at all. So I called Husqvarna and they will not stand behind their product. No ifs, ands or buts. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HUSQVARNA PRODUCT. Their business is horrible. Dont buy Husqvarna products. Not worth it.

I bought a 46 inch/24 hp lawn tractor and also purchased the three year extended comprehensive warranty. The rep told me that with the extended warranty I was almost guaranteed to have no maintenance expenses. I have found out the emphasis should have been on the word almost. In less than 1 year the machine broke down (i.e. carburetor and other parts went bad, etc.). To their credit, the service Husqvarna used did pick up the machine without charge, but that is the only positive aspect of this experience. I was told it would take more than 2 weeks before they could even look at the machine (and of course it was spring-time and the 3 acres of grass was not in a cooperative mood). After nearly a week, the rep called to tell me all that was wrong with this nearly brand new machine and was sad to inform me that nothing was covered under the extended warranty (big surprise). More than 2 weeks later and out more than $500 for repairs, I was livid. I wrote a detailed letter to Lowes, where I bought the machine and to Husqvarna. In that letter I cited provisions in the extended warranty where I was sure the repairs were covered and asked that someone contact me to set up an arbitration hearing, as set forth in the maintenance agreement. It has been more than three months now and I have not heard from either Lowes or Husqvarna. Both companies obviously have two customer service standards - pre-sale they are all smiles and supportive, post-sale they want nothing to do with customers. I spend a lot of money annually at Lowes and I will never shop that store again. I also will never purchase Husqvarna products again.

On June 10, 2008, I purchased a Craftsman/Husqvarna 19.5 HP/42 cut lawn tractor from Sears. Although I have owned it for eight years now, I have literally been unable to use it even once without the mower deck belt breaking. On average, it has cost me ~$40 for parts and labor to have the belt replaced then only to have it break again at the very next attempt to mow with it. The cost each time, when the repair shop charges for pickup and return delivery is more like $60. I have now concluded that the mower deck/pulley/belt design on this mower is very poor and certainly unreliable when compared to the Murray lawn tractors which I had owned and used over the past 25 years or so. In conclusion, this Sears/Husqvarna lawn tractor is worse than useless.

Bought My Husqvarna Lawn Tractor New in 2013 this past summer 2019. The rear axle folded up to the bottom of the transmission. There was no big noise, the tractor just stop moving forward or backward. Noticed cracks around the housing where the U bolts hold the axle to the frame. The metal used to hold the axle to the farm is very lite weight allowing it to crack and give way. The drive belt disengaged. I contacted Husqvarna as did the Dealer I used to fix the Tractor, they were no Help.

We bought a Husqvarna Lawn tractor. I have only had it for 3 years and the engine blew up. We were told by a local repair person that they were pretty much a disposable mower. I have been working, trying to find another motor, and have read on how many of these mowers have had this same problem. I dont consider $2000 disposable. We have finally been told it will cost us about $1000 to have it fixed. The mower blew up the summer of 2010. It always backfired and was told that was normal. I believe Husqvarna should have to replace these engines for the shoddy work that has been done to them.

I found myself in need of a lawn tractor on very short notice. Due to a shortage at the time I didnt have a whole lot of options. Due to availability I purchased a Husqvarna TS254XG. I was unhappy with it from the start. First off it rattles like an old tin can. No doubt some loose part that I will be able to fix, but not a good impression when I just spent north of $3000 on it. It does not mow evenly even though the deck is even. Sometimes when I engage the blades it vibrates so bad that I am afraid it will stop running all together. I have owned many garden tractors over the years and never was as disappointed in one as I am the Husqvarna. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, I would recommend you purchase a different brand.

Bought new May 2020. First off I picked up mower only to hear constant squeaking noises while using it. Turns out place I got it never greased anything! Front wheels had no grease and even better... they have no bearings at ALL! Sleeve in wheel center just rides on axle! What a joke! Next all steering also makes constant noise! Same deal...metal to metal... no bushings! Gas gauge is a joke... piece of cloudy plastic 1/2 by 3/4 on front of tank... cant see it... to cloudy. Next is shift lever... on left side... same side you get off and on... catches your pants EVERY time you get on or off!!! I finally band sawed 3+ inches off off it, now just catches your pants every 3rd time. Cuts leaving missed grass in 2 narrow areas making you double cut everything! Seat has cracks/tears and only 61 hours use! Never buy any products from these people!!!!
