Husqvarna Motorcycle Repairs

If you're looking for help fixing your Husqvarna Motorcycle, look no further! Our comprehensive Husqvarna Motorcycle repair guide will explain common issues, provide tips, and maybe show you how to repair your vehicle.

Husqvarna manufactures motorcycles that owners have come to trust. Even a trustworthy motorcycle requires occasional maintenance or repair, however. If you’re in need of Husqvarna motorcycle repair from experienced professionals, your local Auto Helper can help.

Overuse
After enduring all the elements of riding listed above, the ignition coil is bound to wear out.
The ignition coil’s wear and tear could damage the bond between the primary coil and the primary and secondary coil windings.
Using the coil past the point of no return only damages it more and more, and overuse could strain other components in the process.

Excessive vibrations
This is a potential issue on any bike.
Bikes vibrate, and vibration can cause wear and tear on many of a bike’s components, including the ignition coil. If the ignition coil’s windings are damaged from vibration, it can cause breaks in your ignition coil’s secondary windings.

Malfunctioning Gearboxes
Malfunctioning gearboxes are another widespread problem.
According to owners, the gearbox (or its components) develops faults, making gear shifting difficult or erratic.
Erratic shifting aside, false neutral, delayed engagement, and missed shifts are other problems caused by a malfunctioning gearbox. False neutrals occur when the transmission goes out of gear during shifting. As a result, the motorcycle will decelerate like one in neutral gear, hence the name “false neutral.”
Most of these problems are often the result of damaged or faulty gearbox components. They are often the result of hard riding with improper shifting or a lack of regular service maintenance.

Failed Wiring Loom/Harness
The wiring loom or harness is an assembly of electrical wires bound by a durable material like the rubber or electrical tape.
It keeps wires organized and protects them against exposure to vibration, moisture, and elements.
A failed wiring loom can cause the motorbike not to start at all. It may also cause the lights to function erratically. For example, flickering dashboard lights are common on Ducati bikes with bad wiring harnesses/looms.

Faulty Regulator Rectifier
The regulator rectifier converts AC to DC, which is used to charge your bike’s battery.
More importantly, it regulates the DC current and prevents high voltage surges from damaging the motorcycle’s battery.
Faulty regulator/rectifiers can lead to various problems, especially for the motorcycle’s battery. Diode burnout is one such problem. It also causes the battery to drain abnormally. Electrical components like headlights, meters, and others may perform erratically as well.
It is important to test your bike’s voltage with a voltmeter to be certain the fault is from a faulty regulator and not a bad battery.

In 2006, I bought a 42 Craftsman LT3000 built by Husqvarna. It has the single cyl. Briggs 20HP Intek Plus I/C motor and Hydr. trans. I mow 3 large yards with it. Once I ride my mower 5 blocks to get to pull a wagon holding a push mower and trimmers etc. In 7 years, here’s what’s been done other than oil/greased/filters/sharp blades each season.First issue at 4 years old: In 2010, I replaced deck belt - squealed in damp grass/still cuts but was annoying. In 2011 replaced blades with Gator Mulch blade. Wish I done it when it was new. Great blades cut much better than OEM! In 2012, I replaced the battery. In 2013, changed right front tire out – it kept leaking – That’s it! It’s been a wonderful mower and has never leaked/used any oil.1) I keep grass off its deck because that shortens belts/pulley life. 2) I remove the battery and battery tray at the end of every season to charge and clean grass away from fan on top of rear end because grass buildup blocks air and over heats hydro rear ends. Did you know there’s a fan under your butt? It’s not to dissipate farts… LOL. 3) I grease all steering gears/axle zerks and change oil every spring or fall. 4) Turn gas off and run carb dry every fall to keep gas from gumming up in carb. 5) I keep tires aired up.This is all Ive ever done to keep my Husqvarna going... It’s really all maintaining the mower. Grass buildup can cost one a lot of money in repairs. It’s very important to clean it off your deck/hydro. I have a friend who has the LT2000 model a few years older than mine. He was surprised I had to replace the deck belt. He still has his original belts on his after 10 years or more. But like I said, it still cuts fine. It annoyed me squealing in damp grass. I cut grass early morning its cooler.I know Kohlers had cracked blocks. They started making their motors in China years ago. Ive had Briggs and Kawasaki. I prefer Kawasaki but the wife and wallet makes me buy the Briggs. It’s been a fantastic mower and Id buy another one like it in a flash... shocked to see so many bad issues on them here. I also have a Husqvarna weed eater (Lowe’s) that Ive used 3 years now without a failed start on 2nd-3rd pull. Runs great! Hope I helped someone?BTW: Cracked frames you read about. It’s usually from larger riders riding them up ramps loading them in trucks/trailers. It happens to about every brand of mower. If you’re big, say 225+ lbs, do not ride mowers up the ramp. Push it up! A JD dealer told me that years ago when I owned one of those. JD, now those are problem mowers… $$$.

Within a year of purchase, Husqvarna XP545 chainsaw piston froze. Dealer took first peak at it, said it was not enough oil in the fuel mixture and Husqvarna would not cover it under warranty. Odd, since the gas was brand new and I used the oil that I purchased from the dealer AND I have used this fuel mixture on a Stihl chainsaw with no issues. The dealer was good enough to contact Husqvarna customer support while I was in the store. I expected that I could speak to the representative, but I guess I was not a privileged customer and was denied to speak to them directly. The dealer was asked to send pictures. Husqvarna reviewed the pictures and said it was TOO much oil in the mixture. Seems odd that two independent qualified parties came up with completely different root cause of the issue. In any case, my claim with Husqvarna was denied and their warranty will not cover a defect on their end. They are using the excuse to say the gas was bad. Having power equipment for over 25 years, this statement is a joke as my 20 year old Craftsman Weedwacker that I leave old and stale gas in over the winter actually still starts and works fine. Husqvarna really needs to take accountability for their lack in quality and professionalism. A lot of money for a piece of crap engineering.

I purchased and received a new Husqvarna chainsaw at the end of June. I used it three time cutting fallen trees in my yard. I was using it at the end of August just two months old and it stopped working. I was mid cut when it felt as if the engine seized. I followed all of the manufacturers requirements. I went to Lowes where I purchased it and they do not cover outdoor power equipment if it has been used. They said the manufacturers warranty was good for three months. They sent it to what they I understood to be Husqvarna but it was a repair vendor for them in conjunction with Lowes. They called and said it was an internal part some type of coolant air conductor which was broken and would not be covered. They also said the carb was dirty. I questioned the warranty and even though it was an internal issue, it was not covered. They said they would fix it for a total of $98.14. I told them to send it back. They billed the machine as being covered under warranty but it isnt.

Husqvarna HU 675 AWD walk behind mower. I purchased this mower in June of 2014. It has a 3 year warranty. So far it has had a running problem which the dealer found to be a part missing on the carburetor. The dealer replaced the whole carb under warranty. The front drive wheel adjusters bent and both wheels were angled in at the top and out at the bottom. The dealer replaced both front adjusters under warranty but Husqvarna said they would not ever replace them under warranty again as they thought it must be from me abusing the mower, which is not true. The second summer the rear wheels center hubs wore out and both wheels and rear adjusters and some gears in the wheels were replaced by the dealers after a several week wait for parts. The blade adapter wore out so that the blade just spun around. I replaced the adapter and blade at my expense after waiting for parts to come. The outside of the air filter, the filter, and the pre- filter fell off and were lost. I had to buy the new improved complete assembly at my expense because they no longer made the one that my mower came with. This part took about a week to get. The front wheel adjusters were straightened by the dealer but after 2 mowings they are bent again and will not hold adjustment. Last week the drive cable for the AWD broke and they are on back order of at least 15 days. I contacted Husqvarna the time before this breakdown and was on the phone an hour with them and on hold. They did nothing but ask me for model and serial numbers and name at each person I was connected to. After 1 hour of talking and waiting on hold they disconnected me. Today I called again and was told they needed all the info again although they have had many records with my name on this mower. I did not have the info as the mower was in the shop so they would not begin to help me. I went to the shop and called them back with the info and after an hour they said they would review what has happened and call me back. Needless to say I purchased an expensive mower that I thought I would get great service from and that just has not happened. I have spent many weeks each summer without a mower that is usable. It does not matter that it is under warranty because it is their discretion whether the mower is being abused. The dealer has claimed several times that I am letting a fat woman ride on it or that I am jumping up and down on it or that my wife and kids are doing something to it. Nobody has used or probably ever touched the mower except me and the dealer. At the moment I once again am without a mower while it sits in the shop for over 2 weeks minimum for a part that is back ordered. On a positive note, both the front and rear wheel adjusters have now on the newer models have been replaced by a different type. The air cleaner housing has been replaced on the new models by one that has an additional snap which may keep it from falling off. Meanwhile I wait weeks to get my sub standard mower repaired... again.

At one and half years old, the mower began to lose the drive belt off of the pulleys. I purchased a new belt thinking that was the problem and began to install them. During this I discovered that the two bolts holding the front of the transaxle were missing. On inspection I discovered that they had stripped the threads in the transaxle. Looking closer I found that the frame mount brackets were breaking. One of the missing bolts was found on the deck. With the mechanical experience I have after looking at the 2 bolts, they are not long enough to handle the pressure placed on them during operation. They only go into the transaxle about a 1/4 inch. I checked the cost of the repairs and it was more than I wanted to spend on this mower. I decide to attempt repairs myself and was able to make new axle mounts that i bolted to each side of the mower frame. I looked at the transaxle schematic and discovered that I could remove the 2 bolts on top and drill from the bottom of the axle out through the bolt holes on top. This allowed me to install two four inch log bolts through the axle and the frame to secure it with lock nuts. This has worked for 2 years now. I was lucky that I repaired this issue for $20.00 and my labor. Now the steering system has failed. I have had issues with the steering drag links bending and allowing the tires to spread in the front making hard to steer. I have had to straighten them every year of use. This is all poor design issues.

I purchased a Husqvarna AWD675 push lawn mower on 03/23/14 from Lowe’s and it started on the first pull after adding oil and gas. The mower worked fine for the first five months but it will not crank now, 09/15/14. I called the customer service number in the Husqvarna manual and I was placed on hold for approximately 30 minutes. The customer service representative informed me that this problem should be under warranty and she gave me the information of an authorized repair shop that honors Husqvarna warranties. I took the mower to the authorized repair shop and the repairman told me that the carburetor needs cleaning and this is not under warranty. The air filter still looks new and my yard is about 1/3 of an acre and I never let my grass get very high so the mower has not had an extraordinary strain on the engine. The repairman told me that it will cost approximately $60 to clean the carburetor. I am very displeased with this mower and I will never buy another Husqvarna product; I had a Yard Machine brand mower before this one that lasted 11 years.

Since I owned this unit, nothing but trouble. Deck welds broken 2 times. Both front tires worn out and recalled, took 4 months to get mower back under warranty. New tires on 2 weeks and rims broken in half at welds. Also new tires are wearing out again. We have a nice yard with no problems hitting things. Our front tires face outward with steering wheel centered. This as well as all my front end concerns must be related so why wont they fix it and not take so long. We are very unhappy.

Lever to engage/unengaged slams your right knee cap! OW! Safety??? Bagging SUX! Bought large bags. They are terrific. Problem is the mower clogs constantly. Wet or Dry = clog. Short or tall = clog. Small twig = clog. I spend more time with this crappy mower then I ever did with my old Sears on the Fender shifter. Takes me an EXTRA HOUR to mow my 1 acre. Tires? SUCK! I purchased a McCulloch 42 inch riding mower that is made by Husqvarna. It has the same Intek Briggs & Stratton engine, and the salesman told me that it was essentially the same as the Husqvarna. Well, if it is, they are both undependable, and poorly made. The engine stalls every time that the blade is engaged. The battery died on the day that I bought it. It backfires, and is hard to start. I returned it for a refund on the first day because of all of the problems. After reading the reviews I am in at a loss as to what riding mower to buy that will be reliable and dependable. Any recommendations???

Bought the YTH18542 riding mower at Lowes 3 years ago. Nice machine, when it works. Poor traction if the grass is damp going uphill. Probably needs slightly larger, wider rear tires or more weight over them. The real disappointment has been the mechanical problems. After one mowing season the engine wouldnt start. Problem turned out to be the carb solenoid failure, which stopped fuel from going through the carb. Early in the 3rd mowing season, one of the pulleys for the drive (not the blades) had its bearings go bad. Bought a new pulley but the carriage bolt which secures it to the underside of the frame is loose so the nut cant be tightened enough. I would not recommend this machine if you value reliability.

Been a very reliable mower at a very reasonable price, the only parts we have had to replace are the blades and a drive belt. It is the 750 V twin engine and has lots of power to pull our trailer add-ons. Never been stuck through not enough power but have been stuck through only one rear wheel drive and wheels churned the grass to mud then lost traction. 2 wheel drive, gears for more control of speed would make this great mower even better. After 5 years of trouble free service developed a petrol tank leak and the tank is very hard to access.

UNBELIEVABLE BUT TRUE. Purchased a 30/52 Husqvarna Ride on from Karls Mowers Burleigh Heads, cost almost $6000. Had 240 hours, had all of its required services on it when it started to play up. Went and seen Karl who said spray carby cleaner into the carby. You can buy it from Supercheap, that should fix it. Thats exactly what it did. Fixed it for good. Rang them up to say it has a problem and quickly got diverted to ring Husqvarna and tell them what has happened. Got told off by the Husqvarna service people for calling them on the number Karls gave me and was told that I should take it up with the person who sold me the mower or take it to the nearest approved Husqvarna outlet. Did that and they pulled the motor down and sent pics to Husqvarna. Yes you guessed it, not our problem they said. I have failed to do maintenance on it by the book, we can see that in the photos. How about the carby cleaner solution provided by Karls Mowers I asked. Not interested, as we said you have not done regular maintenance on the mower. But wait on I have done all the maintenance by the book. Can I send you the proof and claim my warranty? No you cant. We dont deal with customers of Husqvarna directly. You will have to go back to a dealership. Anyway our warranty only covers manufacturers faults. Mmmmm so even though I have serviced the machine by the book and it only has 240+ hours on it, you have no obligation whatsoever to recognize any warranty. Yes thats correct. You must have put an aftermarket air filter in it rather than a genuine part.So here I am now taking action against the big guy. Anyone else out there who has a similar story about being shafted on a warranty from Husqvarna, let me know. Im putting together a list of sites who I can take my case further to. This social media thing is great for letting people know about who isnt giving good service. Costly experience for me and costly for Husqvarna, Im sure. By the way if youre looking to apologize, my incident number is **.

I purchased a T435 Chainsaw in February of 2011. It has never run correctly and I have brought it to 2 different dealers for repair. I have spent time and additional money on repairs and still have a saw that runs poorly. I have spoken with 3 levels of Husqvarna support and they refuse to do anything about this issue. They also refuse to warranty the expenses I paid to get my saw back from the second dealer.I am considering small claims action for this problem. I would like everyone to know that Husqvarna will not stand behind there products.

On 6/06/2011, I purchased a Husqvarna LGT2554. I used it once, and then it would not start. No fuel at carburetor. Lowes replaced it on 7/25/2011. I used this one 3 times. I went to start to move and have the same problem as the first one. I called Lowes for the repair center; I was given a wrong number. I called Lowes again and was told if I wanted it picked up for repair. I should have bought a John Deer. I still have not gotten a number for a warranty repair. Next time, I will buy a John Deer. I do not have any way to get this thing to a repair shop. No name and number for a repair shop. I dont know of any place to purchase parts to repair for myself. After reading the other reviews, I see, we are not the only ones with complaints. At $3.69 a gallon and at least an acre to cut, I have to go over the lawn at least 2 times to get it cut even, and even then, it looks bad. Our old Sears cuts better than our newer Husqvarna. We heard we were getting good quality, but apparently not. We, too, purchased new blades and had the machine adjusted, but plain and simple, it does not cut well. We are really disappointed.

I bought the mower new in 2009. I changed the oil regularly and keep the mower and engine clean and store it in my garage when not in use. It has only 160 hours on the machine. The motor is blowing blue smoke and it is consuming oil. I checked a few mower forums and they say the Kohler Courage engine is a throw away when it goes bad. Most shops wont work on it. I should have researched it before buying it. Its too bad, the mower is in still excellent condition. And a new engine would cost me 60% of what I paid for the machine new. I ordered a new Husky Zero Turn mower with a Kawasaki engine.

I bought a 46 inch/24 hp lawn tractor and also purchased the three year extended comprehensive warranty. The rep told me that with the extended warranty I was almost guaranteed to have no maintenance expenses. I have found out the emphasis should have been on the word almost. In less than 1 year the machine broke down (i.e. carburetor and other parts went bad, etc.). To their credit, the service Husqvarna used did pick up the machine without charge, but that is the only positive aspect of this experience. I was told it would take more than 2 weeks before they could even look at the machine (and of course it was spring-time and the 3 acres of grass was not in a cooperative mood). After nearly a week, the rep called to tell me all that was wrong with this nearly brand new machine and was sad to inform me that nothing was covered under the extended warranty (big surprise). More than 2 weeks later and out more than $500 for repairs, I was livid. I wrote a detailed letter to Lowes, where I bought the machine and to Husqvarna. In that letter I cited provisions in the extended warranty where I was sure the repairs were covered and asked that someone contact me to set up an arbitration hearing, as set forth in the maintenance agreement. It has been more than three months now and I have not heard from either Lowes or Husqvarna. Both companies obviously have two customer service standards - pre-sale they are all smiles and supportive, post-sale they want nothing to do with customers. I spend a lot of money annually at Lowes and I will never shop that store again. I also will never purchase Husqvarna products again.

I found myself in need of a lawn tractor on very short notice. Due to a shortage at the time I didnt have a whole lot of options. Due to availability I purchased a Husqvarna TS254XG. I was unhappy with it from the start. First off it rattles like an old tin can. No doubt some loose part that I will be able to fix, but not a good impression when I just spent north of $3000 on it. It does not mow evenly even though the deck is even. Sometimes when I engage the blades it vibrates so bad that I am afraid it will stop running all together. I have owned many garden tractors over the years and never was as disappointed in one as I am the Husqvarna. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, I would recommend you purchase a different brand.

I purchased a Riding Lawn Mower from Lowes in August 2019. Each time I try to start the mower it has been an issue which has gotten worse. The lawnmower was run 2 or 3 times before the winter. A friend came over to cut my grass the end of March. The lawnmower cut off and would not re-start. After sitting a few days and a few tries it finally started. During the month of April it has been a chore to get it started and sometimes I have to sit and wait until it wants to get started. There is a smoke coming out of the motor. In the month of April I have replaced the battery and put oil in it. The beginning of April the mower registered 4.8 hours, the end of April it is on 7 hours. A majority of this time is sitting and waiting for it to start!Of course Lowes does NOT want to help! I called Husqvarna several times they DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE! I spoke with a Husqvarna Dealer in the area, who informed me Husqvarna says they will NOT be honoring their warranty and I have to pay a trip ticket fee and for it to be picked up. I have attempted in good faith to contact Lowes, Husqvarna and an authorized Husq. Dealer. Husqvarna is blaming me for putting too much oil in the mower causing it to smoke, even though it was smoking before I put oil in it and NO one has looked at it yet! You have chosen not to fix your lawnmower that is a lemon! Consumer Affairs give me what options I have. Thank you.

It was explained that Husqvarna buys the engines from Kawasaki and installs them at one of their plants. My wife thought she was doing a nice thing by replacing my 10 year old Sears Craftsman riding mower with a new Husqvarna. In 10 years, I only had to replace blades and belts. My new mower eats belts at a prodigious rate. Every time I apply the parking brake with it running it eats a belt. The dealers have been no help with a solution. Also the rear transaxle broke both sides where it mounts to the frame. The mower engage switch has failed 3 times and the pulley housings break repeatedly. The belt also wrapped up all the safety switch wires and broke them when the belt flailed around. It also cleverly jams beneath the pulley on the transaxle so it needs to be cut into sections to remove. I will never buy another Husqvarna product. It is only 2 years old and was not a cheap purchase.

I should have mentioned earlier this is a MODEL # 944.601380. Part listed key #59 part #441097. Guess what - no longer available. To get this part now I have to purchase the whole clutch assembly $369.00 US compared to $20.00 for clutch plate. I have been very disappointed in the all wheel drive mower. I have a steep hill to mow and for over 25 years I have used Honda self propelled mowers without a problem pulling the hill. My Honda was in the shop and I needed a mower so I purchased the all wheel drive model - thinking it would work better on my hill. I used it three or four times and the mower stopped pulling, even on level ground. I took it back to dealer and it was repaired. Unfortunately, after it was repaired the same issue developed. The mower would not pull, even on level ground. Back to dealer for repair again. On its best day, this mower has not pulled as well as my Honda. I have two Husqvarna Rancher chainsaws and other Husqvarna products that I am very pleased with. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend an AWD all wheel drive mower. Based on other reviews, I am not the only person having issues with this model. I would hope that Husqvarna would research the issue I, and others are having, and provide a solution. I have no issue with the cranking or bagging with this unit. I do have an issue in having to push a self propelled mower on level ground.

I have an old push mower from ~2010 with the blade brake and everything including a Honda motor. Just this last year, a few parts have started to wear out like the cables. It should be simple, cheap fixes, but Husqvarna has a lot of plastic parts and have discontinued producing many of them. This has left me with a mower that runs well, cuts well, and works well, but due to a single $15 cable the mower is trash (or I am left with some bad DIY fix). This mower has been a beast, so reliable and dependable and has performed well beyond expectations, but I never imagined I wouldnt be able to replace a simple $15 cable after 10 years... Im probably off to Toro where they keep running for 20+ years and parts are still available.

I purchased my push mower about 2 years ago and I have had problems from the first week. First the belt that drives the wheels keep falling off. After about 20 times of this, I played with the spacers in order to get it to stay on for more than a month. Then one of the handles that you use to start the drive broke. I cannot get just the plastic handle. I have to spend $70 to get the whole assembly plus the cable. I have yet to replace it.This last breakage was the final straw. The drive cable broke due to a bad design. The cable rubs against a spring and there is no way around it. There should have been some shielding to protect the cable. The cable cost $40, but it will break again in 2 years due to the design. I had my previous mowers for about 8-10 years on average. I have never had such problems in my life. I regret the day I purchased this mower. If someone gave me $100 for it, I would sell it in a heart beat. Due to the design, I will have constant issues with this mower.

I bought this mower new at Sears in 2006. I mow about 1 acre, and have had nothing but problems with it - bent push rods, fuel system, electrical system, and the tires havent held air since day one. I have 102 hours on the meter, but my wife has left the key on 2 or 3 times, and the meter adds hours even with the motor not running. It’s probably 50-60 hours and 20 of them were trying to start it.I have spent more trying to keep it running than it cost new. I had to buy another old riding mower at a yard sale for $250. It has been 10 times the mower than the Husqvarna. This Husqvarna 2348 has been the biggest ** I have ever seen. My advice before you buy one - take the money, buy some goats, or a good pair of scissors. It would be faster in the long run if you buy them. Make sure you have a truck and trailer so you can haul it to the shop. Youll need it.

I have a Riding Lawn Tractor from Husqvarna which has been in the shop twice since I purchased it just over two years ago. The first time was for the starter and the mower deck. Most recently the transmission wasnt working properly and ultimately it was found that the frame had cracked. Husqvarna refused to properly fix my mower citing that I must have towed something that it was not designed for, which is incorrect. After several phone calls they agreed to gift a repair kit but told me I would be responsible for the labor. The repair has not worked. I attempted to follow up with Husqvarna corporate and have been completely ignored. They used a clause of the warranty to deny my claim and did so with absolutely no evidence that I had misused my mower. They had cited that they could tell that I had a 2 tow ball on the back of the mower. I dont even own a tow ball. Within the first 6 months I had it back in the shop two more times for broken parts (I only mow my lawn grass with this machine - I have JD tractor/brush-hog for pastures). 3.5 years later, I have spent over $1500 in repairs (not including regular maintenance) and am taking it into the shop this morning for them to try to figure out why it hardly moves forward or backwards. If I had known than what I know now I would have never bought Husqvarna - and never will again. The dealer told me on my last visit the deck on their machines is much better than the JD - WHAT GOOD IS THAT WHEN EVERYTHING AROUND THE DECK IS JUNK??? Husqvarna 455 Rancher Chainsaw - The chainsaw is well built and reliable until it begins to leak bar oil. Husqvarna knows that this problem is very widely reported by most model 455 owners. The part fails after about 40 to 60 hours of use. The fix is replacing the oil feed hose with a new style (correctly manufactured) hose (part 158551400(1)). The part costs $2.95. The labor costs $53.00. The repair is covered by the 2-year warranty or the pay extra extended warranty. Husqvarna notified its dealers about this manufacturing defect, shhhh, but did not notify registered chainsaw owners. Husqvarna will not do the right thing and issue a general and advertised recall. Memo to Husqvarna--do you see all (hundreds) of 1-star ratings on this website? It is a prescription for laying off many of your workers. Your quality and customer service ratings have plummeted lower than even Black and Decker. Do the right thing, issue a recall and free repair when it is Husqvarnas fault.

Mower (Poulan Pro front wheel drive) arrived new in box. The front wheel drive wouldn’t engage and the height adjustment kept dropping down. After 1 hour of use the machine completely seized up. Husqvarna refused to honor the warranty stating severe abuse of machine. Screws on the undercarriage became loose and fell off causing it to hit against the blade. Amazon has stopped selling this model due to the same complaints and issues. I tried posting a review on their website and they took it down stating irrelevant content. That’s why their rating seem high when in fact their product is rated very low and many people have complained about the same issues. Stay away!!!

I purchased a LGT2654 in 2007 for about $3300, after the second cut tractor would not pull. I called Lowe’s and was told to take it in for repair. They found bad transaxle and it was replaced. It now has the same problem. Again, I was told I need a new transaxle and it will cost $1125 to repair. I would not buy any lawn equipment from Lowe’s or Husqvarna.

ONCE ENGINE FINALLY CLEARS OUT RUNS GOOD! Tractor stored in covered location under cabin Northeastern Pa. It is 2013 w/ 52 hrs on it! It has been at Husqvarna dealer going on week 4. Been told on 3 different phone conversations that it needs starter, SHOCKER KNEW THAT WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF! Now being told it would be quicker for me to pay for it myself and fix myself than to wait for warranty to clear for authorization from Husqvarna/Kohler! Hoping the best, expecting the worst!

After two years of relatively light use, my Husqvarna Chainsaw 455 Rancher suddenly wouldnt start. I took it to an authorized service center who after examining it, said the engine had seized. He said the fuel mixture was set too lean causing insufficient lubrication in the cylinder. What?! Firstly, I never adjusted the fuel mixture because I didnt know how. Secondly, the manual says there is a factory installed limiter cap on the mixture adjusting screw to guard against inadvertent damage to the engine caused by improper adjustment. So tell me how the engine could seize if there is a factory installed safeguard? Dealer couldnt tell me. He said that the limiter may have been defective. Since the saw is just out of its two year warranty, the service center could do nothing for me. So, Im out nearly $400 on a saw that has to be trashed. I bought a Husky based on its brand reputation, in which after reading all the negative reviews and my own experience, I will replace this saw with a Stihl.

This blower is a lemon. From the start it was in need of repairs. I used it the first winter which it worked somewhat okay. The power steering on the left side was a little hard to work. In September of that year I had Fasco Appliance in Oshkosh, Wisconsin come and pick it up to check it over. That is when the problem started. When they brought it back there was no high speed. Fasco Appliance in Oshkosh said there was nothing wrong with it and that was it was supposed to run that slow. I had them pick it up again because I knew that it was wrong. They replaced the power steering cable and a belt. When I got it back the second time the speed was still slow and now when you released the auger lever it still kept on running.I then called Krueger Hardware in Neenah who picked it up from Neenah, who charged me a quarter of the pick up charge that Fasco did and Fasco is in Oshkosh. Krueger found that Fasco had put the auger belt on wrong and that it burnt the belt cover. Now this year on the first snow fall the high speed was gone again so I had Kruegers come and pick it up. They found that three of the seven bolts on the crank cover were loose and that caused a leak which dripped on the belts. They had to replace both of the belts. Fasco cause this too.Now on January 26, 2017 I find that the power steering on the left side is bad again. It almost takes two hands to activate it. So this is going to cost me more money. I am seventy years old and cant afford all these bills. What gets me mad is that I had a Sears Craftsman blower for ten years and all I put in it was gas, oil and the skid plates once. If I keep this blower that long I would have paid for it in repairs ten over. This blower new cost me $2197.77. The serial number is 081811m000136. Is there something wrong with this blower?

In April 2014, I bought a new HU675AWD self-propelled mower (149cc Kohler engine, 22 cutting width) for residential use. In June, I took it in to an authorized service center because the throttle cable had frayed and stretched to the point where it would not engage the self-propulsion feature. It is now late August. The mower has been stuck in the shop with the part on back order for almost 6 weeks. I have had to make other arrangements throughout the high-growth spring weeks and through more than half the summer. Still no resolution in sight; a complete waste of money.

It has 112 hours on it. After, 105 hours, I had to replace a pulley on the mower deck. I am totally dissatisfied with this mower. The dealer doesnt even sell them anymore. Im going to ask for money back, but he probably wont do it. My opinion - Do not buy any lawn tractors manufactured by this company!

If you only mow level ground it works well. However, we have minimal slopes in the yard and the mower doesnt have the power to go up the SLIGHT incline. I am not talking a hill here, either. I have to disengage the blades, raise the mower deck to go up incline. I am very disappointed that there isnt enough power to pull the 52 inch deck unless completely level ground. Otherwise, it did a nice job mowing.

I purchased a PZ60, top of the line zero turn. Costing only $10,500.00 for a lawn mower, and two backpack blowers. Two days of using the first backpack blower, it started acting up, no power. Took it back for service, needs a carb. Week later, its ready to go. Ten minutes of use, no power. Needs a gas cap. The top of the line mower blows a belt at 75 hours and has blown three in six months. Belts are $110.00 a piece but they are covered under warranty for now. Second blower now needs a gas cap because its leaking all over. Again, covered by warranty. First blower has been setting in the garage and hasnt been used. But the reason Im writing this is because the second blower has just completely come apart and the service guy said to throw it in the trash. Husqvarna replaced it under warranty with a new one. Thats all well and good but its been a huge inconvenience and what happens when the warranty runs out. Im screwed. I want my hard earned cash back.

Bought model 725 AWD push mower from Lowes in Sept. 2015. Used it 5 times and begin having to pull rope too many times to get mower started. Suppose to start in two pulls. Then at about 10 times using it All Wheel Drive cable stopped working. After looking at the underside of mower noticed molded part of transmission where cable goes into was broken off and missing so AWD is useless now.Mower is too heavy to push without the belt working. No help from Lowes customer service and couldnt find a local dealer to try and get it fixed under the 3-year warranty. Which Im pretty sure they would say it was my fault. Transmission part that broke was made of plastic. Bad choice for a $500 mower. Husqvarna doesnt even carry the transmission after a year old. Replacement part online from source other than Husqvarna is $80 plus the cost of having it installed. Not buying another mower from them!

I purchased a new O turn at the beginning of the season. The very first time I mowed it bent a push rod. Didnt even get my yard mowed all the way. Mower had 4 hours on it and when it was delivered it had over 2. The dealership I purchased from wanted to charge me for pick up so I called a different one and thankfully they were great and didnt charge that. Still though. EVERY TIME I mow, the belt comes off as soon as I turn the blades on. I oil the blades every time before I mow. I baby the mower. I had had this dealership come get it 3 times now. They put a new belt on it, they adjusted the blades, nothing has helped. It started sneaking while in motion at about 10 hours. Only one of the headlights work. I could go on and on. IT is a Lemon. I have called Husqvarna. They just tell me to call the dealer. What happens when my warranty is up? My brother has had the same mower for 4 years, just an older version, never one issue. This is just ridiculous. If I wanted these problems I could have bought old used mower. Thats what I feel like I have. I have not mowed the yard one time without a problem.

My experience worse a disaster from day one: The first year/year and a half entered the shop 6 or 7 times for different reasons. One time the people at the shop were surprised to find out that the clutch was gone, they said it was very rare. I had a John Deere 15 yrs old, and I never knew there was a clutch in these machines. Everything that could break got broken. I am taking it tomorrow again because the belt broke for the second time. Changing the oil is the messiest job you can do, and the deck does not raise high enough, so it cuts so short that the Florida sun burns the grass immediately. On top of that I spent $300.00 in attachments (what the hell was I thinking??!!) that I used only a few times because the chute was getting clogged. It is hard to believe that there was any engineer involved in this product. My John Deere started giving me problems at the end and I sold it. I dont want to sell this one because I FEEL I AM DEFRAUDING PEOPLE. This machine may be great in Canada, or to ride with the grand kids at 6 mph, but certainly useless to mow the grass... unless you dont care about destroying your lawn. I WISH I HAD READ REVIEWS BEFORE I SPENT 2,000.00 IN THIS PIECE OF METAL. By the way: The customer service people are very nice because they are so used to complaints but do not solve absolutely anything. 40 on the phone to be transferred yesterday to the escalation department, they apologized saying that the escalation department was very busy. Well... I believe that!

We purchased our mower 5 years ago and right after we got it, the wheel fell off. So, Lowes brought us a new machine. We purchased the 4-year extended warranty and wouldnt you know it, one month after the warranty expired, the motor went out. We have a new motor $1,200 later. That was in July. Now, in May of the following year, the transmission goes out…that’s another $985. We could have just bought a new mower. Now, we’re spending another $2,200 only 5 years later. I will NEVER buy another Husqvarna ever again. Im very upset that weve just spent $4,400 on a $2,000 mower in a matter of 5 years.

Took to the same dealer twice during the first year. Each time they claimed they could find nothing wrong. Took to a different dealer. They said that the transmission is in a vinyl housing and that they have had many of these brought in with the same complaint. After two months, they said Husqvarna would not approve replacement of the transmission. After two more weeks they still told me the same. I picked the mower up and use only on level terrain. Stay away from the 562XP! Bought the saw at the start of summer to compliment my other competitor’s saw. Used the same gas and oil mix in my competitor’s saw as well as in the Husqvarna 562XP. After less than 24 hours of use, I took the saw in because it was getting progressively harder to start. After being in the service shop for 42 days I got a call saying that the carburetor has some worn parts that would be covered under warranty. Great, covered under warranty and it will be a couple more weeks until they get the parts installed. A couple weeks pass and I call the shop and they say that it still isnt running quite right and they are looking for something else wrong, now the saw has been in repair for 2 months and they still dont know what is wrong. Get a call a few weeks later stating that the piston is scored and not covered under warranty, “Sorry nothing we can do.” As I said before I run the same gas/oil mix for my competitor’s saw as well as the Husqvarna. Ended up taking my competitor’s saw into the dealer to see if that piston had any trouble, and he said it looked perfect. Called Husqvarna to inquire about the manufacturer defect, and why it would not be covered under warranty. They were rude and would not let you talk to anyone that knew anything about the chainsaw and said they will communicate directly with the shop, nothing I can do about it, and no one I can talk to. So after paying just over 700 dollars for the saw I got 24 hours of use out of it. Terrible service, horrible customer service, and a joke of a chainsaw. Will never buy another product with the name Husqvarna on it again. Buyer beware, stay away! You have been warned.Update: on 12/6/14 I took the saw to two independent (Non-Husqvarna) dealers, both looked at the piston which was scored on the exhaust side only, both stated that running on straight fuel, or an improper mixture would give both intake and exhaust, nearly 360 degree damage, not what my saw has. They both said that due to the intake side being perfect that it was likely another problem. The one dealer said he would suspect an air leak, and that would be covered if I would have bought his saw. The one dealer admitted to Husqvarna being a terrible company for a customer to deal with. So once again, you have been warned, buy a different brand. They also blocked my review several times on their website, so I have decided to post on their facebook page instead!

I bought my snowblower on November 20, 2014. Brought it home, did half of the driveway. Noticed that they put wrong bolts for handle, too long, next day warmed it up, seemed really loud. Then go to snow blow drive. Chute dont work. Look on garage floor find cotter pin and washer. In the meantime somehow the belt goes just spinning. Take to shop. The guy proceeds to explain only the belt. Belt was my fault, said I did not clean it properly, he proceeded to show me. Give me a break. The other problems, his worker must have been tired. I also bent the area where the shoes are. This all happened in 2 days. Not impressed. Considering I bought this blower cause its supposed to last twice as long as others. I think not. When I go back Im not paying a cent to have the belt put in. Mind you it probably wont work that way. Try to return it, well see?
