Husqvarna Motorcycle Reviews
Today, Husqvarna Motorcycles is a brand that draws inspiration from a golden age of motorcycling culture, renowned for many ground-breaking achievements and unique revolutionary steps that has changed motorcycling forever. Their goal is to pick up where those days of legend left off.

Why does your tractors have a history of the rear transaxle snapping. I own a Husqvarna LGT2654. I am only cutting about a half of a acre of grass. The tractor still looks like I just bought it. I take care of my stuff. I lived here for 37 years and never had that happen. My last tractor I owned I drove it for 14 years.

I have it services every year, but Tractor lost HP within three years. It sometimes struggles to get up the 20 degree incline in my backyard. I would probably not buy this brand again.

Husqvarna 390XP chainsaw - Piston/cylinder melted during the second tank of gas. The service center could not determine the cause, but replaced cylinder and piston. After 8 more tanks of gas, the engine seized. The piston/cylinder burned up again. The service center reported a metal support between the carb and head was missing from the factory. During the first repair, the technician noticed it missing and thought they changed the design. They explained that after the saw warmed up, it would allow air to leak into the head causing the saw to run too lean and too hot. As this was a factory error, I expected an apology or a new saw, but received neither. I paid $1,100 for this factory defect saw and would be lucky to get half of that for this saw that has burned up twice. I asked for a refund or a new power head but Husqvarna would do neither. They said it would still be covered under warranty, but I would rather be cutting logs than waiting for repair service. At this point, I do not trust this saw that has been exposed to extreme heat twice and have to baby the saw or take a loss and sell it. Husqvarna did not do me right and I will never purchase a Husqvarna product again. If you are considering purchasing a Husqvarna, be forewarned.

My husband and I purchased a Husqvarna YT H2042 20.0 gross horsepower 540 cc Briggs & Stratton engine riding lawn mower from Lowes in our neighbor town. We thought we were purchasing a good quality mower, but we were wrong. We purchased with a 0 interest for 18 months and before we had it paid off the problems started. The mower would not pull itself - totally stopped. First repair cost $400.00 - the valve was bad. That repair lasted about two weeks. Took it back to the repairman. The mower would not start - starter was bad. Another $400.00 repair bill. Asked why all the problems, answer was mowers just arent made like they were. That repair lasted about 6-7 months. The mower would not start or move again. Took it to a different repair place another $350.00 repair. The starter, battery (which we were told was the wrong size for the mower but was the same that came on it), belts were bad and the engine was making a noise. This repair lasted again about 6 months. The mower stopped pulling itself and the engine sounded terrible. Fourth repair cost $498.00 the engine had moved around some way and the belts were bad again, the starter was bad again, the engine mounts had to be drilled out and reweld so everything would line up correctly. We have cables laying on the cutting deck from rewiring repairs. Again it lasted about 6 months and now we have a mower setting in the garage that will not pull itself again. Very very bad product. The warranty covers nothing. Lowes needs to stop selling these products.

I have a zero turn Husqvarna 54 inch cut. Mower has been ok. Nothing great but nothing horrible either. My biggest complaint is getting the thing to track straight. Ive tried adjusting and have had a repair man work on it. Its ok but should be better. Really am not crazy about ztr. My wife and son wanted that. Wish I would have stayed with a garden type tractor. Also machine should be a little stouter made. Seems a little bit on the light side for my taste.

I have a 1&1/2 yr old lawn mower and chainsaw. Neither will work after average use on my lawn and on the Brazilian peppers that invade my yard each year. Ive put a new spark plug and air filter in the mower and it still wont run. Poorly designed without a manual choke. They claimed it would start first time every time. Boy that was a lie! A simple choke would make it easier to start and the frame is rusting out horribly. After 1&1/2 yrs the chainsaw, compared to my old Homelite, is impossible to keep running. When I manage to get it running. Poorly designed chain tensioner. Impossible to get and keep the tensioner in a workable position. And it came with the manifold cover finger-tightened down and promptly fell off. Last time I buy anything with this brand name on it.

May 28th, 2016 I purchased the 54 Husqvarna riding mower from our local Lowes Home Store. We were told that it was top of the line for quality and customer service. As we were in the process of buying it we asked several times about warranty and owners manuals, the cashier ignored us. They finally went online and printed a copy, but gave us no warranty card or any of the tools for adjusted mower components or washing the deck. As we exited the store and walked to where they were loading the mower I watched them ram the grass guard against the side of the trailer and heard a crack. The guys loading it told me, No worries. Come back on Monday and we will give you a new one. When I got it home to unload it, I noticed that it did not look new. There were signs that it had been used before. So on the initial test run I pulled the knob upward to engage the mower deck and the engine almost choked out and the mower deck shook violently and then the entire body of the mower continued to vibrate as I started to mow. During this run I notice that the digital hour indicator read 7 hours, but the one that I thought I was buying only read 1.2 hours of use. About 20 minutes into my mowing the transmission disengaged and the mower stopped dead in its track. This happened again about 10 minutes later. This forced me to shut down the mower, get off and reengage the transmission pin each time it happened. I finally shut the mower down so I could look the mower over better. I notice scratches on this mower that was not on the one I had purchased. I also looked underneath the mowers blade and deck and up toward the deck drive-belt pulley and noticed that the base of the center shaft appeared slightly bent and the mower deck did not appear to be attached properly. So what I bought was a new mower, but loaded a refurbished one in its place. I loaded the mower back up and delivered directly back to Lowes. I spent three hours trying to get my new mower and Lowes staff gave me the biggest run-a-round ever. They tried to tell me that they could send it back to the dealer and have the mower repair, but I would be responsible for the cost of repairs. I flat refused to take anything other than a new one. Then a store rep took me out to show me one identical to mine, but he said was new. I was looking it over and there were signs everywhere indicating it was used. The seat was torn, there was dirt and grass under the mower deck and again, documentation package was missing. I went back to Customer Service and demanded a refund on the spot and after a few minutes the store manager came over and completed the transaction and my $2500 plus dollars was refunded.I blame Husqvarna 30% for the poor quality of their equipment, but Lowes gets the most blame for their poor customer service and deceptive business practices. I have no intentions of ever buying from Lowes again.

We are a dealer for Briggs, Kohler, Mtd, Speeco, Honda, Dolmar, Echo & Grasshopper. When I inquired to Husqvarna about being a dealer, they sent their representative to our facility. He looked it over & said, Well, its not conducive to the facility that we want to see. The funny thing is about twenty miles away, he signs up an Amish guy with a much smaller showroom than we have & gives him a dealership. Whats right about that? I guess I didnt realize that Husqvarna discriminates who can be a dealer & who cannot depending on your heritage.

My chainsaw has a design flaw. Ive had to replace the gas line 5 times. As the chainsaw is running, it vibrates the gas line back and forth and the edge of the gas tank severs the line, causing gas to leak every where and then not run at all until line is replaced again. Very upset. Would like line replaced.

Four years ago, I purchased a Husqvarna mower - XT722FE. I will be purchasing a new mower in the next few days and will not be getting a Husqvarna. The engine is good but nothing else is. I have replaced wheels twice, the blade and now the self-propelled has stopped working. Everytime I go to mow, it is something else to fix, replace, etc. If I didnt take care of it like oil changes, cleaning underneath, using the right gas, etc., I could understand all the problems but I make a point to take care of my things. I will not nor will I recommend this mower or any Husqvarnas to anyone I know.

After a good experience with the Husqvarna tractor I bought for my son, I made the mistake of buying one of their trimmers. In the year that Ive owned it its been back to the shop three times for non-warranty repairs. The repair guys say it is a piece of junk, and I just threw it in the dumpster. There will be no more of their products in this familys future.

I have been very disappointed in the all wheel drive mower. I have a steep hill to mow and for over 25 years I have used Honda self propelled mowers without a problem pulling the hill. My Honda was in the shop and I needed a mower so I purchased the all wheel drive model - thinking it would work better on my hill. I used it three or four times and the mower stopped pulling, even on level ground. I took it back to dealer and it was repaired. Unfortunately, after it was repaired the same issue developed. The mower would not pull, even on level ground. Back to dealer for repair again. On its best day, this mower has not pulled as well as my Honda. I have two Husqvarna Rancher chainsaws and other Husqvarna products that I am very pleased with. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend an AWD all wheel drive mower. Based on other reviews, I am not the only person having issues with this model. I would hope that Husqvarna would research the issue I, and others are having, and provide a solution. I have no issue with the cranking or bagging with this unit. I do have an issue in having to push a self propelled mower on level ground.

I have had this lawn mower two season and it has been in the shop four times at my expense. It is now broken again (will not go in reverse). I have a Husqvarna chain and a weed eater both two years old and both do not work either. To call Husqvarna products junk is to give junk a bad name. I am hoping that there is a Labor Day sale on lawn mowers so I can buy a decent lawnmower so I can take this piece of garbage to the dump where it belongs. I will conclude by saying that, if you know someone that you really - really despise, talk them into buying a Husqvarna product.

The mower deck has never been level and will scalp the lawn at a 2.5 setting. The dealer will not or cant get it level. The engine is always hard starting and has had 3 batteries in 3 years despite being garaged and a battery tender being placed on it. I dont feel that Husqvarna screens their dealers or checks on the service quality before their machines leave the factory. $3200 for a lemon.

Purchased Lawnmower new from local Lowes end of May. I only used it about 4 times to cut 1.5 acres of grass. Lawnmower stopped moving and was smoking. Wouldnt go forward or backward. Loaded it up and took to local distributor because I owned it 41 days and Lowes absolved themselves after 30 for floor model mowing equipment. Local distributor has mower for 31 days. Meanwhile, I have to pay someone $100/week for these 4 weeks to cut my grass. Fast forward to August 1, when I get Lawnmower back from repair and they explain they fixed the transmission. Cut grass ONCE, and the very next time I try to use the mower again, it has the EXACT same problem: smoking and will not proceed forward or backward. I call the Husqvarna customer service line to try and seek resolution in the form of a replacement Lawnmower or my money back. Rep says he cant issue a refund or a new mower, that I have to go through the distributor again. Meanwhile, it rains every day and I will have to pay someone twice as much to cut this high grass. What a terrible piece of equipment that I wasted $1900 on! I am so upset and discouraged by their laissez-faire attitude. Do Not Purchase this!

My mother in law bought a husqvarna ride on mower in 2011. Done a crank shaft 14 months ago, now they are telling her it now needs a new motor at $1500.00. Her contact number is **. Not happy with the company that fixed it in the first place, now they want more money to re- build a new motor on a machine that is only 4 years old.

Within a year of purchase, Husqvarna XP545 chainsaw piston froze. Dealer took first peak at it, said it was not enough oil in the fuel mixture and Husqvarna would not cover it under warranty. Odd, since the gas was brand new and I used the oil that I purchased from the dealer AND I have used this fuel mixture on a Stihl chainsaw with no issues. The dealer was good enough to contact Husqvarna customer support while I was in the store. I expected that I could speak to the representative, but I guess I was not a privileged customer and was denied to speak to them directly. The dealer was asked to send pictures. Husqvarna reviewed the pictures and said it was TOO much oil in the mixture. Seems odd that two independent qualified parties came up with completely different root cause of the issue. In any case, my claim with Husqvarna was denied and their warranty will not cover a defect on their end. They are using the excuse to say the gas was bad. Having power equipment for over 25 years, this statement is a joke as my 20 year old Craftsman Weedwacker that I leave old and stale gas in over the winter actually still starts and works fine. Husqvarna really needs to take accountability for their lack in quality and professionalism. A lot of money for a piece of crap engineering.

In October 2016 I purchased a Husqvarna 125BVX Leaf Blower from Lowes. After 13 months of use it refused to start. I replaced the spark plug and still no start. I checked the compression with my thumb over the plug hole while pulling the rope and thought it was low. I took it to my local Husqvarna repair shop and was told in fact the blower had 55 lbs of compression, about half what it was supposed to. It has a two year warranty but was told that since I didnt purchase it there they would have to disassemble the blower and send pictures to Husqvarna to see if they would repair it under warranty. If they did I would have to pay for the repairs and file a claim with the company to get re-reimbursed. I thanked them and took the blower with me. I then took it to Lowes and they sent it to their authorized repair center. The center called after about a week and informed me that the blower had been operated with improper lubrication and with water in the fuel mix. Both things I knew to be incorrect. They told me it would cost me $207.00 to replace the piston and rings and rebuild the carburetor. I told them I could replace it cheaper than that just send it back unrepaired. I went to pick it up and was presented with a $61.00 bill for diagnosis. I told them to just keep the blower for the fee and they couldnt do that. Lowes marked the fee off and gave me the blower back. It has no evidence of being disassembled. I contacted Husqvarna customer service and they stood behind the incorrect diagnosis, and said they were sorry. So now I have replaced it with another brand. I wouldnt recommend buying anything with the Husqvarna name on it. It seems that they will come up with any kind of lame excuse to refuse to do warranty repairs.

Husqvarna HU 675 AWD walk behind mower. I purchased this mower in June of 2014. It has a 3 year warranty. So far it has had a running problem which the dealer found to be a part missing on the carburetor. The dealer replaced the whole carb under warranty. The front drive wheel adjusters bent and both wheels were angled in at the top and out at the bottom. The dealer replaced both front adjusters under warranty but Husqvarna said they would not ever replace them under warranty again as they thought it must be from me abusing the mower, which is not true. The second summer the rear wheels center hubs wore out and both wheels and rear adjusters and some gears in the wheels were replaced by the dealers after a several week wait for parts. The blade adapter wore out so that the blade just spun around. I replaced the adapter and blade at my expense after waiting for parts to come. The outside of the air filter, the filter, and the pre- filter fell off and were lost. I had to buy the new improved complete assembly at my expense because they no longer made the one that my mower came with. This part took about a week to get. The front wheel adjusters were straightened by the dealer but after 2 mowings they are bent again and will not hold adjustment. Last week the drive cable for the AWD broke and they are on back order of at least 15 days. I contacted Husqvarna the time before this breakdown and was on the phone an hour with them and on hold. They did nothing but ask me for model and serial numbers and name at each person I was connected to. After 1 hour of talking and waiting on hold they disconnected me. Today I called again and was told they needed all the info again although they have had many records with my name on this mower. I did not have the info as the mower was in the shop so they would not begin to help me. I went to the shop and called them back with the info and after an hour they said they would review what has happened and call me back. Needless to say I purchased an expensive mower that I thought I would get great service from and that just has not happened. I have spent many weeks each summer without a mower that is usable. It does not matter that it is under warranty because it is their discretion whether the mower is being abused. The dealer has claimed several times that I am letting a fat woman ride on it or that I am jumping up and down on it or that my wife and kids are doing something to it. Nobody has used or probably ever touched the mower except me and the dealer. At the moment I once again am without a mower while it sits in the shop for over 2 weeks minimum for a part that is back ordered. On a positive note, both the front and rear wheel adjusters have now on the newer models have been replaced by a different type. The air cleaner housing has been replaced on the new models by one that has an additional snap which may keep it from falling off. Meanwhile I wait weeks to get my sub standard mower repaired... again.

I purchased 48 Husqvarna cut lawn tractor last fall. I owned it approximately for two hours. It lefts strips all over my lawn. I called the dealer and they sent a mechanic out that same day. Three times they sent the mechanics out. I told him I wanted a refund. I was told, Too bad. We arent giving you your money back, just have to cut my grass every day. They even picked it up and brought it back. Not fixed. I was told I just couldnt use the mulcher. That could be why it isnt cutting right. I bought it because of the mulcher. So that tells me they admit there is something wrong with the mower. My broken Craftsman lawn tractor cuts better than this piece of junk.

Bought the YTH18542 riding mower at Lowes 3 years ago. Nice machine, when it works. Poor traction if the grass is damp going uphill. Probably needs slightly larger, wider rear tires or more weight over them. The real disappointment has been the mechanical problems. After one mowing season the engine wouldnt start. Problem turned out to be the carb solenoid failure, which stopped fuel from going through the carb. Early in the 3rd mowing season, one of the pulleys for the drive (not the blades) had its bearings go bad. Bought a new pulley but the carriage bolt which secures it to the underside of the frame is loose so the nut cant be tightened enough. I would not recommend this machine if you value reliability.

From very beginning our 24HP YTA24V48 48 B&S INTEK V-TWIN with 3-year extended warranty would not pull upgrade once warmed up. The pedals also lock up and have to be stomped to work. Took to the same dealer twice during the first year. Each time they claimed they could find nothing wrong. Took to a different dealer. They said that the transmission is in a vinyl housing and that they have had many of these brought in with the same complaint. After two months, they said Husqvarna would not approve replacement of the transmission. After two more weeks they still told me the same. I picked the mower up and use only on level terrain. Bought a Cub Cadet for mowing the hillsides and it works beautifully. My three-year extended warranty was worthless.

I bought HU700F lawn mover from Lowes in August 2014 and within a year its hard starting. I took it to their local dealer and after work he charged me saying its not under warranty and I need to call Honda as engine is from Honda. This is a shocking news. I need to call two different companies for warranty. Thankfully they dont make cars, otherwise they will ask me to call over 100 vendors who supply parts to car companies. This is totally not acceptable and I feel its cheating as they should clearly advertise about two different warranties. I think this company as well as their products are substandard.

Walk Behind Mower HU 800AWDX BBC. Purchased mower July 18th. Used once on front yard and it did okay. Used on backyard and right rear wheel lever used to raise and lower height became disengaged and loose. Cant use the mower. $649.00...down the tubes. I love Husqvarna. I work at a dealership. Half the complaints on here are motors or trannies that husky doesnt build or have parts for. You should be yelling at the tranny company or motor company about the faults. The 235-240 chainsaws are poulan built. Dont buy them. Get a 435. Way better! I have a 15 year old husky chainsaw and a 15 year old husky tractor, as well as a 20 year old trimmer.

I purchased a brand new yth2346 lawn tractor in March. It only has twenty hours on it and the spindle for blades broke in two places. This is a working component that should be covered by warranty. But no, the 3 year limited warranty does not cover this mechanical failure because it is a item that wears. It broke in two places at point of bolts. This sounds like bolts was tightened too tight from manufacturer and cracked housing. Husqvarna refuses to pay for any repairs. To me they are not standing behind their name and their products. I could understand maybe a year and this breaking possibly but not In 20 hours. I am telling all my friends of this and anybody that reads this that husqvarnas warranty is very limited. Ill never buy another product from them.

I checked out a lot of different zero turn mowers and ended up with a Husqvarna MZ 52LE. The dealer raved over the quality of construction and durability of this mower. What he didnt say was what a piece of crap this mower is with zero turning or traction. If you have any respect for your lawn as I do you will NEVER buy a Husqvarna. These mowers rip your lawn into shreds. Any time you try to turn around, the stationary tire locks and just rips a nice hole in your lawn (every time). And Lord forbid you get onto a hill and need to back up, the tires will literally just spin until you are really good and stuck, and you find yourself on many, many occasions having to get a tow strap and pull it out. My old mower (Grasshopper) never got stuck. Had I known what I know now I would never, EVER have purchased this mower!

Purchased Husqvarna ST 224 Snow Thrower in Oct. Live in NJ during blizzard last month the auger stopped after an hour of using. Removed cover, auger belt was frayed and off the pulley. I put it back on in the middle of a blizzard under a carport. Started and tested, the belt was so stretched it would not turn the auger. Found through surfing Husqvarna has a Technical Services Bulletin (TSB) addressing the problem. This has occurred on other Husqvarna models too! Called Husqvarna and spoke to a rep. He did not know what a TSB was and blew me off to a dealer. Call them, theyll take care of it. I then asked if Husqvarna was going to reimburse me for paying to have my driveways plowed, he said NO! The dealer will have my $850.00 HUSQVARNA SST 224 Big Orange POS for 2 weeks this Friday 2/12/16. IT SOUNDS LIKE ITS TIME TO FILE A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST HUSQVARNA AND THEIR INFERIOR PRODUCTS.

I have this mower just over 1 year and it has spent six months of that in the repair shop! I went out to mow this evening and it will not start! Battery and starter is working fine; its just not starting! My last two mowers were John Deeres and they are still running and over twenty years old! The Husqvarna didnt have one year on it and I started having breakdowns with it!! As soon as it is repaired, this time it is going to get sold and I will buy a John Deere, Toro or Snapper! - Something with known reliability and not another pile of junk like this Husqvarna RZ3016 30-Inch!!

Husqvarna P-ZT 4822 - Last year I purchased this zero-turn with 100 hrs on meter. Did not get to mow too much last year but it did a good job. This year I first had problems with clogging under the deck. Changed blade style and it improved, but the cutting was terrible, leaves a lot of grass. Put old blades back on after sharpening but still had problems. Recently replaced belt even though it looked good and had no improvement in cutting quality. It leaves a lot of grass in both the heavy areas and light areas of the yard. Customer service could do nothing and recommended I contact local dealer. Does anyone have any suggestions on improving cut quality.

I bought a Husqvarna 7021P lawnmower this year. After using it for about 2 months, the plastic housing that the mower sits on is cracked and has rendered the mower useless. I bought it back to where I purchased it and was told the warranty wouldnt cover it. I contacted Husqvarna Customer Support online and got a form email response telling me that my problem was solved... Theyve done nothing and now Im paying someone else to mow the lawn!

Bought model 725 AWD push mower from Lowes in Sept. 2015. Used it 5 times and begin having to pull rope too many times to get mower started. Suppose to start in two pulls. Then at about 10 times using it All Wheel Drive cable stopped working. After looking at the underside of mower noticed molded part of transmission where cable goes into was broken off and missing so AWD is useless now.Mower is too heavy to push without the belt working. No help from Lowes customer service and couldnt find a local dealer to try and get it fixed under the 3-year warranty. Which Im pretty sure they would say it was my fault. Transmission part that broke was made of plastic. Bad choice for a $500 mower. Husqvarna doesnt even carry the transmission after a year old. Replacement part online from source other than Husqvarna is $80 plus the cost of having it installed. Not buying another mower from them!

Husqvarna sells dangerously defective outdoor equipment. I purchased a riding mower July 4 2017. It is still under manufacturer warranty. I contacted Husqvarna Sept 13 2019 after the mower deck on my Husqvarna riding mower came apart at the welds and fell off of the mower. The mower deck has been used only 3 times? And the mower itself has only 37.6 hours on it. They instructed me to take it to the local service center which I did. The service center inspected the product and determined that it was faultily made and was a manufacturer defect. After providing this information to Husqvarna along with numerous pictures the local service center as well as myself contacted Husqvarna repeatedly to find out what we need to do to get the product fixed. Husqvarna conveniently lost the pictures, paperwork, and information several times. After providing the information again along with a statement from the service center stating the item was built defectively Husqvarna stated they were not going to fix the faulty product that they sold. They also instructed me to have my attorney contact theirs if I wanted resolution.

I bought this mower new at Sears in 2006. I mow about 1 acre, and have had nothing but problems with it - bent push rods, fuel system, electrical system, and the tires havent held air since day one. I have 102 hours on the meter, but my wife has left the key on 2 or 3 times, and the meter adds hours even with the motor not running. It’s probably 50-60 hours and 20 of them were trying to start it.I have spent more trying to keep it running than it cost new. I had to buy another old riding mower at a yard sale for $250. It has been 10 times the mower than the Husqvarna. This Husqvarna 2348 has been the biggest ** I have ever seen. My advice before you buy one - take the money, buy some goats, or a good pair of scissors. It would be faster in the long run if you buy them. Make sure you have a truck and trailer so you can haul it to the shop. Youll need it.

The 42 Zero Turn mower belts keep breaking and it has been in the shop more than 10 times for repairs. It went back in today for the deck lowering or higher and bracted brock. I only had it for less then 2 years.

I purchased a Husqvarna MZ5424 last year and it keeps breaking mower deck mandrels (the bearing housing that the shaft for the blades goes thrown). I have broken 5 of these, and now I am told that the part is on BACK ORDER. I thought I was buying a good quality machine; instead, I find that I purchased a wimpy pos that cant even mow a yard without breaking, never mind a field or something heavier. My antique John Deer blows this thing away as far as reliability.

We purchased an RZ5424 mower in May of 2010. It mowed beautifully for one season. At the start of this mowing season, an idler arm broke causing the spindle that turns the blades to come off. The mower is still under warranty and has been in the shop for 5 full weeks now because the idler arm is, apparently, not to be found anywhere in the country. Ive spent countless hours on the phone with the shop where we purchased it (The Mower Outlet in Mooresville, IN) and with Husqvarna customer service. The mechanic has agreed to take the part to a machine shop in an attempt to fab a replacement because Husqvarna is obviously not the least bit concerned about getting my 5 acres mowed before it consumes my house. Very disappointed, will definitely not be recommending this manufacturer.

A one year old lawn mower has broken. A very shoddy made part, which sells quite well on eBay by many sellers for a low price, yet cant get the warranty repair needed. Will pick up the mower tomorrow, either take it somewhere else to be repaired, or bring it home, order the part from eBay and repair it myself. Husqvarna warranty is no good if the warranty repair shop wont do it. Warranty shop is in Opp Alabama.

We bought this lawnmower for personal use on our 3.75 acres. The first year, we had no issues. Year two, the blades came flying off while in use and someone could have been killed. The plastic pieces that hold the blades on are useless. We had to spend $300 on replacement parts and blades. Husqvarna would not respond to any of our inquires. Year three is turning out to be again this year on first use, flying blades. We again shelled out $300 on replacement parts. As soon as the parts came and were installed we made two passes in the yard and the water pump and vacuum hose went! Spent $200 to replace those and now the damn thing won’t go 100ft without shutting off and not restarting. I’ve had it! Husqvarna will not respond to any emails, calls, FB messages or posts. This mower has less than 200 hrs on it and it sits useless in my yard. Everyone I talk to says to scrap it as it not worth fixing.
Husqvarna self-propelled lawn mower from Lowes is one of the worst products
Husqvarna self-propelled lawn mower from Lowes is one of the worst products ever put on the market. It never started very well from the beginning and locked the motor up after 4 uses. When returned to Lowes because we purchased an extended warranty was told there was no lubricant in the mower. We have purchased a number of mowers in our 50 some odd years of mowing and know that you must put oil in the mower!!! We are out over $500 dollars and if I could them zero stars Lowes and Husqvarna I would!!!

This tractor is a beast when it comes to cutting and collecting grass with a clear cut 48 inch mower and high capacity grass catcher. And with a 48 inch dozer blade in the winter time it can’t be stopped plowing snow, and gravel in the spring and summertime. Well built, and was made for tough work around the yard for sure. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a garden tractor with plenty of power and eager to get the work done. A very comfortable seat I might add as well. A real pleasure to use, I always look forward to the day when I have to get on and work with it. A REAL good buy and well worth the money.

I purchased a Husqvarna AWD675 push lawn mower on 03/23/14 from Lowe’s and it started on the first pull after adding oil and gas. The mower worked fine for the first five months but it will not crank now, 09/15/14. I called the customer service number in the Husqvarna manual and I was placed on hold for approximately 30 minutes. The customer service representative informed me that this problem should be under warranty and she gave me the information of an authorized repair shop that honors Husqvarna warranties. I took the mower to the authorized repair shop and the repairman told me that the carburetor needs cleaning and this is not under warranty. The air filter still looks new and my yard is about 1/3 of an acre and I never let my grass get very high so the mower has not had an extraordinary strain on the engine. The repairman told me that it will cost approximately $60 to clean the carburetor. I am very displeased with this mower and I will never buy another Husqvarna product; I had a Yard Machine brand mower before this one that lasted 11 years.

POS. First cant reverse without shutting off mower (Husqvarna 46 Rider w/ lg bags) or unengaging blade which causes unneeded stress on drive belt being engaged off and on (a lot!). Lever to engage/unengaged slams your right knee cap! OW! Safety??? Bagging SUX! Bought large bags. They are terrific. Problem is the mower clogs constantly. Wet or Dry = clog. Short or tall = clog. Small twig = clog. I spend more time with this crappy mower then I ever did with my old Sears on the Fender shifter. Takes me an EXTRA HOUR to mow my 1 acre. Tires? SUCK! Small uphill grade and the tires just spin. DO NOT BUY this mower unless you like frustration and have a great deal of time you dont need.

DO NOT BUY ANY HUSQVARNA products. They are inferior machines. I purchased a YTH23V48 riding lawn mower 1 year ago. It has 27 hours on it and has been in the shop 4 times!!! Will not cut even and doesnt vacuum up the grass properly (purchased 3 bag system as well) so I have to cut the grass twice to get all the clippings. Waste of time and $$. Paid over $2K for this machine; deck was replaced which they said was bent. Put 3 sets of blades to no avail with 3 deck alignments, the crazy thing is to ONLY make right turns when cutting ridiculous so as not to leave grass clippings everywhere.

I bought my Husqvarna riding mower from Lowes a couple of years ago. Ive since spent as much as I paid for it in repairing it. This mower is absolute garbage. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE MOWERS. Itll be a cold day in hell before I ever, ever, ever buy a mower from Lowes or a Husqvarna product again. I hope this helps prevent someone from throwing their money away, the hassle of owning and repairing one of these movers.

Ever since purchase, this has been the most difficult piece of machinery to start bar none. I have had it serviced and they even said they got it running a bit better, but still a bit hard to start. But should improve as it breaks in. Upon seeing reviews and so many saying how great this product is, I kept it with the belief that it would improve. It never did, 15-30 pulls to start on the average and then once started, you could set it aside and it would puke, and stall out. Then the same procedure would have to be followed even though it was warmed up.My mistake was that I shouldve have taken it back to Lowes where I purchased it while still under some warranty, but I wanted my money back and did not like the saw at all. I am experienced in their operations. I shouldve paid more for the Stihl product. I never pursued any action, my fault. Now it is too late. I will never purchase a Husqvarna product again, period! After this saw injured my back the 3rd time, in anger I destroyed the **. Yes, anger got to me, but never satisfied at all with product. Husqvarna and dealers have nothing but voicemails and just repeat service that produces nothing to improve product reliability. Im very dissatisfied!

I use my lawn tractor for a multitude of tasks but it is very difficult to shift between summer and winter chores. Would be much better if it had quick releases and the process of changing mower blades could be done without high capacity lifting equipment. The mower cuts unevenly and is easily bogged down. The towing connection is made of cheap metal and is easily distorted. Lots of cheap parts and headlights burned out after just a couple of months.

Like so many others, after 3 years the axle broke and the left back tire fell off. After 4+ weeks (at the end of the season) a new axle and transmission was supposedly repaired for $1,100. First time out this season and first time used since the repair the forward/reverse lever sticks and there isnt enough umph to get up a slight incline. Have taken the lawnmower back to hopefully get it fixed right! Have had other smaller issues with the lawnmower in the last couple of years. Wish I had read all these reviews before I bought. Needless to say, Husqvarna NEVER AGAIN!

I recently purchased a Husqvarna self-propelled mower from the local dealer. I could have gone to Lowes and gotten a slightly lower price, but why not? I thought I would get better service all around from a certified dealer. Boy, was I wrong. I brought the mower home and first off, it is way too heavy for a 70 year old man. The drive is jerky. The mower gets stopped by any irregularity in the yard. I end up raising the back and moving the wheels so it can get traction. What a pain. Well, after talking with the dealer I purchased from and an hour-long talk with Husqvarna customer service, bottom line is I cant trade it for another more appropriate model. I am stuck with this piece of junk. I should have gone to Lowes. I could have taken it back and left with something that worked. This is my sixth Husqvarna product and my last.

OUR HUSQVARNA LGT 2654 Rear axle has broken twice now. It has been in the repair shop over a month now. The repairman says he is having trouble getting parts to fix it. He has replaced the rear seal 3 times and it continues to leak fluid. I am at my wits end with the tractor. Has there been any kind of recall on these tractors.

The front wheel appeared to have a bent axle. On closer inspection, I found the wheel support hand broken free of the deck. The mower deck metal was not strong enough in that area and metal fatigue caused the wheel to break free. I have never had this happen and suggest that it is a major product defect. There was no dealer once they knew that it was past the warranty. The Husqvarna customer service line goes to a loop. I was cut off every time I press the number as instructed. If I stayed on the line, it played the introduction over and over. I thought that Husqvarna was a quality product, but the best thing about the mower was the Honda engine. I think I will buy a Honda mower.

The mower was bought 6/5/17 and has given me starting problems plus grayish smoke last 2 times I used it. Yesterday while cutting grass it began blowing smoke like it was on fire! My wife spent over 2 hours on the phone waiting on customer service finally talking to a rep who took forever to tell her to take it back to Lowe’s. She was directed to call the local store and arrange for them to come out and fix the problem. However, when she called the local customer service she was told they wouldnt send anyone out but they would pick it up for a fee. She asked if we could bring it instead. They said yes, but before closing. Therefore, we borrowed a truck to take it back to the Knoxville Lowe’s, 210 N. Peters Rd. 37923. It was over 25 miles one way. When we got there and unloaded it they took it into the store. My wife went in to get papers saying we delivered it as instructed. She was then told we would have to take it to another place. She told them we were instructed to bring it there and was not interested and now moving it to another location. She was then told she would have to sign a paper stating we would be responsible to pay them up to $300.00 for resolving the problem. Less than 3 months old with a 1 year warranty and now Lowe’s is trying to Stick us with a bill for what they told us to do with no mention on the phone by either reps about any fees. Was this a bait and switch like scam? I believe it was! My wife told the original rep we wanted our money back and he told her to take have it picked up. The second rep looked the first rep’s information and then demanded my wife sign the paper described above. My wife came out to the truck and informed me of the changes they demanded, either take to Anderson Site or sign the note saying we would pay them. I told her to get in truck and we left. We were supposed to get our money back and then switched to paying for them to check it out. RIDICULOUS!!! All we want is our money refunded or another brand new mower like the original one, but not a LEMON! Invoice ** for $1375.57. Transaction #** on 6/5/17.

I purchased a brand new Husqvarna MZT 61. When I got it home, I got used to the controls for about 10 minutes and started to cut. The mower was cutting nicely and then abruptly the blades disengaged and smoke was coming from under and behind. The clutch completely failed. The dealer had a loaner for me to use. Not sure how often this happens but very inconvenient and trust is shot. Waiting for the part. Should I demand a new mower? Has anyone else had the same problem? What was the outcome? Hopefully not years of more problems.

My wife thought she was doing a nice thing by replacing my 10 year old Sears Craftsman riding mower with a new Husqvarna. In 10 years, I only had to replace blades and belts. My new mower eats belts at a prodigious rate. Every time I apply the parking brake with it running it eats a belt. The dealers have been no help with a solution. Also the rear transaxle broke both sides where it mounts to the frame. The mower engage switch has failed 3 times and the pulley housings break repeatedly. The belt also wrapped up all the safety switch wires and broke them when the belt flailed around. It also cleverly jams beneath the pulley on the transaxle so it needs to be cut into sections to remove. I will never buy another Husqvarna product. It is only 2 years old and was not a cheap purchase.

Not going to write a long and very boring POOR ME letter here. I owned a Husqvarna zero turn mower for over 11 years. I decided it was time to buy a new one. BIG mistake. I paid $3.500 and it arrived with a broken deck. But since they took away my brand new zero turn mower, they will not tell me when I can have it back. It seems that after two weeks they might consider just giving me a new one since that is what I paid for. I have tried and tried and tried to go through channels but they are 100% useless. I will leave you with one message: DO NOT BUY a Husqvarna Zero Turn mower. You will (for sure) regret it right away.

Every time I mow, the deck clogs up with grass. Have to scrape with putty knife. Deck does not discharge properly. Also blades wear out after just 40 hrs of mowing. Been thru second set of blades with just 80 hrs, going to try the gator blades... Purchased RZ5424 in spring of 2013. 1 lug nut has fallen off, knob to adjust right, steering fell off, leaves strip of uncut grass (tried adjusting deck). Not a good mower in my opinion... Wish I would have purchased a more well known trusted name, brand zero turn mower. Might have cost a little more but I dont think this mower is going to last. For $3000 you would think so... Is there any company that makes anything worth a damn anymore???? Pretty damn sad!!!!!
I bought this Husqvarna LTD2243 ride on mower brand new from the local deal
I bought this Husqvarna LTD2243 ride on mower brand new from the local dealer. It had a few hiccups at the start. The solenoid that opens to allow the fuel to flow into the carby was defective. It was replaced with a new part obtained from the dealer. It then started much better when needed. The engine, a two cylinder B & S works perfectly with heaps of power. The worst part is that the steering is atrocious in the N degree. The steering assembly has no way to adjust the toe in or toe out. The only way to fix the steering is to take the mower to the dealer and have new parts fitted. I was told that the problem occurs from running into rocks, logs, posts or trees. Apparently, hitting things bends some mysterious part that only the dealer can repair by replacing most of the steering suspension assembly. It all came to halt when the steering was so pathetic that when one wheel was aligned in a straightforward position, the opposite wheel was turned out 3 INCHES! Steering was impossible. The mower was also four months out of warranty. I parked the mower in the garage and studied the situation for a long time. There is no tie-rod joining the king-pins and any adjustment was impossible. The king-pins could not be altered in any way at all. The steering is performed by two rods that are fastened to the king-pins and a quadrant plate. It is impossible to remove these rods without removing most of the assembly underneath the steering column. This in itself is a pain of a job. After studying the bars for sometime I cut them in half with an angle grinder using a 1mm wide cut-off disc. The front half, about ten inches long, was then removed from the king-pins. These bars are made from .625 inch diameter steel (16 mm dia.) I cut two pieces of 30 mm dia steel, 75 mm long. A 5/8 dia hole was drilled thru the steel but offset 5 mm to form a thicker section to fit two set screws into the ends. The steering bars were reassembled with the new sleeves, the wheels set up with 5 mm toe-in to check for working and alignment. I set off with the mower and the steering was not just perfect, it was better than when it was brand new. For some reason I have yet to discover, I had to cut an extra 22 mm off one of the bars. Through all this trauma, one wheel rim had split and was replaced under warranty. I read that the rims will split when the toe-in is grossly out of alignment. I have to fit two front new tires as they no longer have enough tread and are very vulnerable to being punctured. The steering can now be adjusted very easily if required but it still has problems on full lock. It works to my full satisfaction but I was only able to modify the steering rods because I have a metal lathe in my garage. I am a Toolmaker/Machinist by trade and I am a top grade mechanical grade engineer with many years of experience both in Australia and the US. This is one machine I highly recommend NOT to buy! It also has great difficulty in cutting long grass more than four inches high. Long grass needs to cut by reversing two or three times over the same strip to get the grass down to size. The cutting deck is fabricated and is very strong but it rattles and bangs non-stop. I have yet to find a way to stop this happening. In short, have nothing to do with this mower!

Last October 2010, I purchased a Husqvarna LGT2554 lawn tractor. I have put a total of 40 hours on it. I clean the whole tractor after every use. Since the first of this mowing season, I have had to replace the main drive belt 3 times, which is not an easy task. Also, when it is neutral, it still moves forward. The manual says this should never need adjustment. Also now, when I put it in reverse, it makes a terrible sound.I contacted the dealer where I bought it from, and they would fix it under warranty, but I have to get it there. I do not have a trailer to haul it on, and I dont feel that I should have to pay to get it there. I am not happy with this product at all! The other thing that upsets me is that there is no place on their website to lodge a complaint.

Im in the army and we purchased a riding mower. It ran fine in the first 5 times it was used, then the last time we had used it the engine started clanking and puffing white smoke after giving it some throttle. We turned it off and checked the oil, gas, filter and plug. All were good and no problems. Took the blades off to replace them then put them back on. Now it wont start!! No spark to the plug either. What could possibly be wrong with a practically new lawn mower??!!

Last September I bought a R322T Husqvarna mower, I last mowed the end of November. I put gas guard in the tank and parked it in my shed, and started the Briggs & Stratton once a week. This spring I mowed my grass twice, the next time I tried to mow the mower quit. Now I am told it is not covered under warranty and I had done something wrong.

Since I owned this unit, nothing but trouble. Deck welds broken 2 times. Both front tires worn out and recalled, took 4 months to get mower back under warranty. New tires on 2 weeks and rims broken in half at welds. Also new tires are wearing out again. We have a nice yard with no problems hitting things. Our front tires face outward with steering wheel centered. This as well as all my front end concerns must be related so why wont they fix it and not take so long. We are very unhappy.
After trying to get my McCulloch chainsaw to continue running after 25 year
After trying to get my McCulloch chainsaw to continue running after 25 years and unable to get parts, I finally decided it was time to break down and get a new chainsaw. I was at Lowes and decided to buy the Husqvarna Model 440 as it seemed to be the best fit for my needs. Between being extremely busy and injuring my elbow, I did not get to using the chainsaw for several weeks. When I went to use the chainsaw, it would not start. I tried several times and the chainsaw would not fire up. A check of basic systems indicated it was getting gas (the plug was wet) but saw only minimal spark. I called Husqvarna expecting customer service but I was told that I would have to take it to the dealer for warranty repair. They gave me the name of a dealer with hours that are difficult for my work schedule. When I took time off from work to get to the dealer, he told me that he does not do warranty work on chainsaws purchased from Lowes. He directed me to another dealer not listed on Husqvarnas locator who does this work. They were also closed. So I still have a chainsaw that does not work, have had to take time off from work to get to the recommended dealer who does not perform this work, and spent money on gas driving around for a defective product. My expectations were: 1) Husqvarna telling me to take it back to Lowes where they would give me a new one and send the defective one back to Husqvarna; or 2) Send me return postage labels so I could send the saw back to Husqvarna (similar to Dell Computers policy). Instead I have the burden of repairing a defective product placed on the customer instead of the supplier of the defective product. Of all the items I have purchased in my life, I do not believe I have ever had such a poor buying experience. I will never buy another Husqvarna product and will warn my friends against purchasing Husqvarna products if this is their definition of customer service.

This is in reference with my Husqvarna rotary lawn mower (Model Number: 917.376822 21). My mower wouldnt start this spring. As it was still in warranty, I took it to an authorized repair center, Maximum Outdoor Equipment Service. Although I had prepared the mower for storage last fall by putting a fuel stabilizer in the gas tank, as described in the owners manual, I was told that the mower wasnt covered by warranty because the carburetor had gummed up. Apparently, the information in the manual was inaccurate and that a fuel stabilizer should never be used in a mower gas tank.I pointed out that the owners manual said to use stabilizer but I was told that it was erroneous information and that they were compelled to honor the warranty because Sears had their logo on the back of the book. I then went to Sears and was told that since Husqvarna had published the book, Sears could not be held responsible for the information in the manual.Additionally, I understand theres a bulletin from the factory regarding a fault in the carburetor on this model. So far, this farce has cost me $105 for something I feel should be covered by warranty. Your timely response with any help or guidance you can provide would be very much appreciated. After this experience, I will not ever purchase another Husqvarna product or anything powered by Kohler.

Every lawn tractor I have owned is a dead-man design; take your foot off the pedal and the machine stops its movement forward or back. This new machine of mine is operated by a lever on the fender, and keeps moving until the lever is moved to neutral, or the brake is engaged. Which responds as though encountering a wall. So, I have a question; how did the Consumer Protection folks let this design pass review? Any thoughts?

On 7/22/2010, I received a new Husqvarna Rotary Lawn Mower (Part no: 917.376823 / Product no: 7021) as part of an exchange for another mower from Sears. I have had nothing but problems with the Husqvarna’s carburetor. On 11/26/2010, the mower stopped running and I had to return the mower to Sears for repair. After two weeks, I was told the problem was with the mowers carburetor; it was repaired and returned to me. On 6/20/2011, the mower stopped running and I had to return it to Sears. The problem was again the carburetor; it was repaired and returned to me after 2 weeks. On 10/8/2011, the mower stopped running and I had to return it to Sears. The problem was the carburetor; it was repaired and returned to me after two weeks. On 5/1/2012, the mower stopped working. I returned it to Sears and they told me it was yet again a problem with the Carburetor. It was repaired and returned to me on 5/19/2012. I have since purchased a Toro lawn mower. On 10/6/2012, I decided to use the Husqvarna and the mower stopped running after a short period of time. I will not be returning it to Sears; I know what the problem is. Based on the number of problems with the same component and the constant returns and long periods of time without a mower, I would not recommend the purchase of a Husqvarna lawn mower.

I bought this Husqvarna 42xls in Sep. of 2012. It has 120 hr. on. It started burning up belts. Went through 3 new belts before carrying in to the dealer for repairs. Said it would be 10 days to two weeks before it would be ready. Two weeks pass did not hear from them. Just went in to check on it. And it was push in the back of the shop. Said they could not get a hold of me. The case on the trans. was cracked on both sides. I had made a power hatch and installed it on the back. They took one look at it and that was the cause the problem. They say the belt was out under the mower that the tram and frame is connected to was not hooked up. I told them it never was but they did not believe me. So what good does it to buy a warranty.

Ive bought two of these mower (Husqvarna yth24k48) in the past ten years and always had problem from the day I got it. Fuel line went out and the oil line wasnt install properly after 5 year of the newest one. I have the transmission went out on it. Dont buy a Husqvarna. I bought the recent one in 2012. The one had problems since day one.

I have observed that the Husqvarna YT46LS has no rubber or plastic on the end of the deck stop. The local dealer has a 2013 model on display and the deck has been scratched down to the bare metal. How much would it cost them to put some kind of cap on the thing?

Ive had my lawn tractor about one month, mowed my lawn 3 times. Each time the belt broke. Im very unhappy. I think the company should either buy it back or fix the problem. The half inch belt is just too small for the 22 HP motor. I cant afford to put a new belt on, each time I mow. They dont need to tell me, the belt is not on right, I know better. Thank you for reading this.

Purchased Husqvarna Lawn Mower from Lowes within past two years. To date, has been in for repair 6 times for the same complaint (pukes gas upon start up). Fuel line replaced; Carb jets cleaned; Carb replaced; Fuel tank replaced (dealer found Filter Screen never installed at assembly). So far the initial purchase price has been exceeded by the cost of repair not to mention the inconvenience of no mower... Father-in-Law has cut my grass 5 times so far this season with his HRX Honda. Husqvarna dealer unable to resolve problem, but has offered to replace at cost. I have elected not to do any further business with Husqvarna and will be scrapping this LEMON.

For the amount of money we spent on our Husqvarna YTH26V54 youd expect AT LEAST some quality in the product. However, from the battery constantly draining and needing to be jumpstarted to the belts needing to be replaced as well as a rod breaking. Not worth the money, the hassle, or headaches its provided. Id have better luck with a pair of scissors versus this lawn mower. Research before you buy and dont waste your money on something like this one.

I was mowing the lawn when suddenly between the engine and mower deck, fire broke out and the entire mower was engulfed in flames and burnt to a crisp. This was a Husqvarna model LGT 2554 riding lawn mower. I would discourage anyone to stay clear of them.

Briggs engine smokes and uses more oil than gas. Its ready to blow up. Briggs is really making junk nowadays. This mower had about 100 hours on it. I was a firm believer in Briggs up till now. I will never buy another Briggs engine. Even the Kohler engine is not thought of very highly. I do plan on buying another Husqvarna lawn tractor, as the overall machine seems to be good. But I guess the Kawasaki engine might be my choice. Husqvarna should make good on these lemon Briggs engines!

The local Husqvarna dealer was offering a $50 rebate on the lawnmowers, so I purchased one. I initially got a letter back that said I hadnt sent in the warranty card along with the rebate (which I did). After going back to the dealer and asking him to sort it out, about 2 months later, I received a $30 rebate, not $50 as I was promised.

In 2012, I purchased a self-propelled Husqvarna 22-inch lawn mower. What attracted me to the product was the 3 year unconditional 2 pull to start warranty. I thought that was unambiguous, but found I was wrong. I used the mower 5 times in 2012, then siphoned the gasoline out of it and ran the carburetor dry before storing it for the winter. In the spring, I put gasoline in the mower, started it up and it ran for only 15 minutes before stalling. It never started again. I called Husqvarna and was treated like the village idiot on the telephone. I was told I would have to pay to have the mower engine and carburetor rebuilt to prove it was under warranty. Seriously? So I took the mower back to Lowes, where I had purchased it, and arranged to have the unit evaluated by Husqvarna. I was forced to sign a contract stating I would pay $85 toward the repairs (forced, as in, you sign this and make this guarantee or we wont even look at the mower). Weeks pass with no word. Then, yesterday, I received a call from the Lowes evaluation team telling me the mower was not covered by warranty for the following reasons: 1) There was gasoline in the carburetor... seriously, they voided the warranty because the carburetor had gasoline in it after the mower would not start. 2) There was evidence the unit had been used because the oil had not been changed. In other words, my used lawn mower with only a year on its unconditional warranty was not covered by that warranty because it was used. Sorry, but that sounds like a condition to me. Now they want to charge me 2/3 of the cost of the original purchase to repair the carburetor, an integral part of the starting system, which is not allowing the mower to start but somehow this is not covered by the unconditional warranty. This company is a cheat. They lie, they overcharge for shoddy equipment which does not live up to even the most basic of use, and they refuse to cooperate with or support their customers. Oh, and the $85 pre-repair fee? They now call that an evaluation fee even though the repair contract doesnt say squat about evaluation fees and it is now up to me to fight my credit card company to cancel that fee. Talk about adding insult to injury. Conclusion: Do not, under any circumstances, buy a Husqvarna anything! If you do, assume the warranty is useless and that it will fail within a year.

I have always heard how great these saws were and went to Rural King and paid a big chunk of cash for a Rancher. I took it home and immediately put it to work cutting. That affair lasted almost 30 minutes. At that point a plastic piece attached to the chain brake snapped, just snapped without being dropped, etc. So I re-packed it in its fresh box and returned it to the store that same day. They tried to talk me into keeping it but I argued that at this rate it will have broken dozens of times before it even gets to the warranty expiration date. I was done with Husky--or so I thought. Last year (5 years later) I needed an affordable simple push mower for rough cutting of rough areas around my yard area. I bought a Poulan Pro and used it for almost exactly a season. At that point it was smoking to the point I had watering eyes and actually made loud rattling noises when running. My last mower was an MTD and I used that for ten seasons doing the rough mowing. 10 to 1, are you kidding? Then on this website just today, I see Poulan Pro is made by Husky. No surprises there! Finally, I tried contacting Poulan Pro and it was exasperating to the point I gave up (which is probably their intention).

Where do I start? First off its battery was weak. Most times, I would kill the battery starting the machine. Brought it to the dealer several times (I dont live in town so had to trailer it each time costing me gas and time). Eventually they said the battery was faulty and replaced it. Brought it home and it happened again. Brought it back, and it took two weeks to have it looked at, parts ordered, and get it back. Turns out they had to replace the whole wiring harness even though they didnt see anything wrong with it...the only thing left that it could be they said. By this time, the summer was over and I had only one more mowing for the season. Now to backtrack a little, I was having another problem with the belt coming off and had it to the shop at least twice to have it adjusted. I am quite capable of doing this myself of course but it kept coming off so...back to the shop. They put the belt back on and tried another tension adjustment. Got it home, mowed about 5 minutes and off it comes again. Didnt finish the grass, was pissed so I hauled the battery out and shoved it in the garage. This spring I raised the mower with my backhoe, put the belt back on and inspected the system. ** design, the belt is nearly round and as far as I can tell, it inverts and pops off. With only 5.6 hours on the machine the belt is in tethers from coming off. Good enough. Laid her back down and put the battery back in. Not a gig. Boosted it, not a gig. Again brought it back to the dealer. Turns out the flywheel had a crack in it. Another three weeks waiting with the grass now to my knees. I have a lot of area to mow. I have had this mower two years now and it spent the bulk of its life in the shop with 5.6 hours on it. I contacted Husqvarna and said I wanted a replacement machine as this one is a lemon. I cant begin to say how dissatisfied I was with the response. I got a complaints department who said that there was no one above them that I could talk to. What bull. What were they, the owners!? I run a resort here and I have a lot of equipment around that I have to depend on. I always buy new no I dont get other peoples junk and full warranty. I could have bought a cheaper brand and got a better machine but no, I spent $4000 on this piece of crap that has been in the shop for two years. They told me they couldnt replace it unless the cost was 70% of cost. What about customer service?

For anyone thinking of buying a Husqvarna, dont let the store lied to you like they lied to me. They told me if there was a problem with the mower to bring it back to them and they would fix it in about a week. Well in three weeks it didnt run anymore so I took it back. And was told I cannot bring it there and then I cannot return it, I have to take it to an authorized service center. Not what they told me when I bought it, but it sounds ok, right. Nope. Below is a copy of the text on Husqvarnas webpage. Why would a servicing dealer refuse to repair my equipment that I purchased elsewhere? Each of our dealers is an independently owned business and we cannot control their business decisions. We can only suggest that you call ahead, prior to bringing your unit in for repair, to make sure a dealer can and will assist you. If necessary, contact customer service for other authorized servicing dealer options in your area. All the service centers in my area will not honor the warranty. So I have to pay to have my 3 week old lawnmower repaired! I will never ever buy another Husqvarna!

Model YTH2454 riding mower. One month and one week after warranty is done the mower decides it wants to have the rear axle separate (break) away from the rest of the mower and roll down my driveway unstoppable. I could have died that day. Called them about it and they say I need to call an authorized dealer to have it looked at to see if it can be fixed at my cost. They also say there is no recall and that there is no problem of their fault because the warranty has run out.

I bought a Husqvarna 2654, three years ago. While cutting the grass, the tractor stopped moving. I discovered a broken rear axle. I contacted Lowes, only to be told that the axle could not be replaced. I would need to replace the whole transaxle. I made several calls to Husqvarna asking questions. They also told me, that these axles could not be replaced. They told me that I needed a $1,200.00 transaxle. After three days of phone calls, I discovered that the axle, as well as transaxles, were made by a company called Tuff Torque. When I called them, (a number which Husqvarna refused to give me), they explained to me that each and every transaxle they sell can be worked on, and the axle I needed could be replaced. The cost of the axle, seal needed, and shipping was only $45.00, and the female I spoke with on the phone, had the knowledge to explain everything I needed to know to fix the problem. She explained that if it has bolts, it is not a sealed unit, as reported by Husqvarna, and could be taken apart. The part arrived in two days, and it took about two hours to fix. When I called the Husqvarnas home office, and spoke to a person identified as a vice president, I explained what I had been told by the company, and he agreed. Then, I explained what I had been told by Tuff Torque. He seemed surprised. I then told him that I had made the repairs myself, (I am no mechanic, but this was a simple job). He started stammering and stuttering. A couple of weeks later, I received a gift certificate in the mail from Husqvarna, which I promptly threw away. I will never buy another thing from Husqvarna, nor Lowes. In my opinion, they are both nothing but con artists, ripping the Americans off. If you, or anyone you know has a problem with these mowers, dont believe Husqvarna, nor Lowes, and dont believe the authorized dealers and service centers either, as they are trained by Husqvarna, and the mechanics are told and trained that these axles con not be fixed, so they are not allowed to even attempt it. After logging in more that 50 more run hours this past summer, I am pleased to report that the axle that could not be replaced, according to Husqvarna, is still working just fine. My hat is off to a company called Tuff Torque, for good old honesty, and for the help.

Something blew up in my Husqvarna LGT2554. I bought it from Lowes. It had been returned. They said it was returned because the deck was messed up. The deck was still messed up when we bought it, but we got a discount. The transmission started going out in it in around 20 hours of use. Then I pulled it out of the shed in September for a last mow for the season and oil blew out of the engine and went everywhere. I believe it is the carburetor, but Im not sure. Warranty was out (apparently, it sat for most of the manufacturers warranty). Horrible machine. I went and bought an old Kubota and I love it!

Purchased new mower (46 riding mower) less than 2 months ago from Lowes. I love many things about the mower mostly the pep getting up hills and the light weight that I can easily get unstuck from around my pond by myself but my love affair ends there. With the light weight comes the cheap quality of components. Mind you I replaced a John Deere mower that was about 10 years old and only had problems with battery. So far this mower has busted the housing that holds the deck and blade together. It is very poor quality, cheap metal that busted off at bolts. Talked to Lowes and they said it would cost me to get the mower to a repair center and I would be without it some time while they repaired it. I couldnt afford to be without a mower so I replaced the part myself. Shortly after the bolts fell out and deck again failed, ordered new bolts and replaced. Next is the belt keeps falling off and it wont go into reverse without fighting with cheap, plastic foot pedal that bends when you try to press it with your foot. It locks up in either forward or when you finally get it into reverse locks there as well. The quality of the parts used is the worst ever. Who would expect a flimsy piece of plastic to last very long as a foot pedal? So I am a single parent and this was a major investment for me, and now I am forced to be a mechanic because I cant afford to be without a mower. I wish in hindsight I would have gone with the JD but it was heavier and it was important that I be able to lift the mower out of the mud myself when I got stuck.

I have or I should say had a Rider Model # YTH23V48. I bought it in Butler, MO 64730, from Young sales and repair. I bought it off of the showroom floor and paid more than I thought it was worth. I was dissatisfied from day one. It didnt have half of the deck clearance I was use to and it didnt serve my needs well at all. Previously I owned a Sears Craftsman mower, which was smaller horsepower and cutting width. That mower was ten times the Husqvarna was. It had twice the deck clearance and ran well for well over 14 years. When I went to get it repaired, I was offered to look over the New mowers at Youngs sales and service. I did not trade my craftsman in and left it there for repair and after several inquiries and two years later, I found that it was sold out from under me.Needless to say, I forced him to pay me for it. Bottom line is, after owning the Husqvarna for less than 3 years I am still paying for it and it now has a blown engine or so I have been told by Extreme Motors, the new Dealer in Butler, MO. Guess what? Their service was not any better. I have had it in there for a simple blown fuse and $400.00 later it had the wrong ignition put in, with no safety features anymore and they cut my headlight wires to stop the blown fuse problem. I gave them a piece of my mind just like I had given Youngs Sales. May I suggest that you make a better mow, along the lines of Craftsman or John Deere and do not let an unskilled shop operate in Butler furthermore. I am totally done with any Husqvarna product from here on and am seriously considering suing the company. That mower was a piece of junk from the start! I would also like to add that all I have is the card last four on which I am still paying ** and model number # Model # YTH23V48. I believe this company should reimburse each and every customer for whatever Husqvarna product they were unlucky enough to purchase. Absolutely terrible products and even worse service!

After looking at reviews (greatest thing since sliced bread) I decided to purchase one of these (Husqvarna ST227P Snowblower), what a mistake. I have used the machine approx. 10x and have had it back to the dealership 7x. To date they have had to replace the carburetor -- machine would not keep running, replace the drive - would not go forward or backwards, belts broke second time I used it, gas lines split and leaked gas after the first season, plastic for the discharge chute controls snapped off and remember this is after only 10 uses. The dealership has had the machine more than I have. I attempted to exchange it for another machine and or have my money refunded but Husqvarna said no but they would extend the warranty for an additional 6 months and keep having it fixed until the warranty run out. In the meantime I have had to borrow a friends machine, pay to have our driveway plowed and shovel. The last time I took the machine in they had to replace the drive which took 2 months for the parts to arrive. Twice when I went to pick the machine up after being called because it was repaired I have had to leave it due to the machine breaking down when they were trying to load it on to my truck. I contacted Husqvarna who in turn contacted the dealership I purchased the machine from and were told that the gas lines leaked was due to me leaving old gas in it over the winter. Unbelievable. All of my equipment is winterized and some are 15 plus years old and have never had the gas line changed, what a joke!! It appears that Husqvarnas quality has gone and I will not be purchasing any more of their products. I currently own 2 of their chainsaws, both over ten years old and never an issue but speaking to friends who have purchase new ones they have had nothing but issues. At this point I am rooting for the greenhouse effect and we never get snow again!!! What a waste of $1698.00.

Purchased this from Morgan Equipment. I bought my last rider close to 20 years ago so once I got past the sticker shock I compared what I think are the top 2 Husqvarna and John Deer. I didnt like how the JD controls worked and some on its construction seemed less quality. HV was a lot more machine for the price, solid unit with a top end Kawasaki engine. For the same engine, JD was about $200 more. Now that Ive had it for a few mowing I like the Husqvarnas operation and it give a good mow. It fast and gives a good mow.

I tried to buy a replacement cover for my lawn tractor grass catcher directly from Husqvarna. Was politely told there is no replacement part available even though I have the cover part number. For $400.00 I was informed I can buy a whole new grass catcher accessory. Love their equipment but this situation is disappointing.

I purchased a zero turn less than 1 year ago. After only 6 hours of use the spindle started smoking. The dealer took it into the shop for repair. Two weeks later I got it back. In the spring this year, after only 9 hours of use the spindle started making grinding noises and smoking again. This time they replaced the spindle and the pulleys. Two weeks later after I got the mower back it immediately started making strange noises. I called Husqvarna consumer support and told them I believe I have a lemon for a mower. The customer service agent told me to contact the dealer again and have them pick it up to be looked at. I attempted to cut my grass again and with only 10 hours of use the mower melt came off and would not drive. The dealer picked up the mower and it has been in their possession for almost 3 weeks. I called Husqvarna customer service again and spoke with **. He told me that I need to deal with the dealer and there was nothing and no one else I can talk to about my issues. I specifically asked to speak with his supervisor. He refused to do so. I repeatedly asked for another manager or anybody that can help me resolve my issues. He said there was no other person in the entire company that I can contact about my problem. I explained that I am very frustrated because I, the consumer, have a $4000 lawn mower that has spent more time being worked on and in the possession of the dealer than it has in my possession doing it intended purpose. I just want a mower that works!

Husqvarna chainsaw 240 - I got this chainsaw at LOWE’S, and it started. I cut 3 pieces of wood. Then I was not able to start it, and once I did, it did not stay running. And I kept restarting it according to instructions provided, but it just kept dying. And I have experience with chainsaws, so I know what choke is and how to start and operate it. But this one, once it warmed up, just kept quitting. I also checked the tension of chain and used proper gas-oil mixture. Stay away from this chainsaw.

Used the new tiller about an hour and it could restart with just one pull of the cord. Stopped it and restarted it about six times during that period but then the pull cord jammed up. Husqvarna advised to take it to a repair shop closest to me of their choosing to see if part was under warranty. Cost $100.00 to get someone with a pickup to get it there.. Operators Manual clearly states engines and transmissions not covered by warranty. Repair shop advises they will order the part and I must pay for it so I paid. They allow me to install it myself. Contacted www.justanswer.com and an attorney advises, oh no, you do have a warranty, and to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office and or file suit.
We purchased a Husqvarna riding mower from Lowe’s in Gloucester, Virginia
We purchased a Husqvarna riding mower from Lowe’s in Gloucester, Virginia. From the beginning it would throw the blade belt unusually when you turned off the mower but sometimes when running. According to Lowe’s this was a known defect and after several unsuccessful fixes from Lowe’s we were told all we could do was send it to service. (NOTE: There are more than complaints on this subject here is but one: **).The unit was sent to ALTAQUIP in Dunn, NC. Who surely did not read the service tag as they stated “Belt had to be replaced and out of warranty.” Certainly the belt had to be replaced it kept flying off, nevertheless they claimed the reason was the deck was dirty. The only reason the deck was slightly dirty a demonstration had been performed for the driver from the service center. The question was asked, “How could you mow the lawn if the deck getting dirty caused the belt to come off”. No response was given! Lowe’s against my wishes paid the bill.Upon receipt of the unit and in front of Lowe’s personnel the mower was run and when turned off the belt came off. The unit was returned to the service center. This time they claimed the reason the belt came off was the deck was uneven. (Nothing had changed if the deck was uneven now it was the first time!) They again replaced the belt though they did not charge for it. Again, against my wishes Lowe’s paid the bill. Upon receipt of the unit and in front of Lowe’s personnel the mower was run and when turned off the belt came off. Showing the unit to a local service center authorized to work on Husqvarna but not conduct warranty work we were told there was no way either reason would cause the belt to come off ; further recommending we stay with authorized service centers. It was then found as previous noted that this problem was a latent defect and this was the recommended repair; “On the mower deck, you will see an idler pulley that maintains proper tension on the belt at all times. As the belt stretches, the spring-loaded idler pulley applies more tension on the belt. Due to this, there is no reason to complete routine tensioning maintenance on this mowers belt. However, there is a built-in lever that allows you to apply or release tension to the belt to engage or disengage the drive belt. This lever turns the mower blades on and off. When you disengage the drive belt, it causes enough slack in the belt to allow the belt to slip off the main drive pulley, preventing the blades from continuing to spin. Without the ability to adjust the belt tension, you could never turn off the blades, which would cause a safety risk as well as require you to replace your belt much more often. The recommend fix has not helped the problem. I believe the company should refund the fees paid by Lowe’s and consider review current manufacturers manuals, know defect and repairs with their service personnel. That Lowe’s exercises better control over their subcontractors. Since the situation described above the unit now will not move, the engine runs fine. I am disabled so regardless of what the problem was I would in all likelihood not be able to repair it. I dont know what I was thinking but because of the description Hydrostatic transmission I assumed the mower had some type transmission; I was wrong it had a drive belt. I can only assume like the mower drive belt it had tension issues the mower has yet to reach a maintenance point. Anyway this time it was another $146.00 to replace that belt which the company paid once again.I tried to argue with the box company that for a company be in Carolina and for them to handle, stockpile mowers from across Virginia until they have enough to ship has to have built in a wide profit margin, couldnt they find local service centers? That is another issue the mower will be gone three + weeks. I am amazed in a company that made a public announcement they were going to concentrate on Customer Service acts like this they must have meant another company!
