We are a dealer for Briggs, Kohler, Mtd, Speeco, Honda, Dolmar, Echo & Grasshopper. When I inquired to Husqvarna about being a dealer, they sent their representative to our facility. He looked it over & said, Well, its not conducive to the facility that we want to see. The funny thing is about twenty miles away, he signs up an Amish guy with a much smaller showroom than we have & gives him a dealership. Whats right about that? I guess I didnt realize that Husqvarna discriminates who can be a dealer & who cannot depending on your heritage.

We purchased an RZ5424 mower in May of 2010. It mowed beautifully for one season. At the start of this mowing season, an idler arm broke causing the spindle that turns the blades to come off. The mower is still under warranty and has been in the shop for 5 full weeks now because the idler arm is, apparently, not to be found anywhere in the country. Ive spent countless hours on the phone with the shop where we purchased it (The Mower Outlet in Mooresville, IN) and with Husqvarna customer service. The mechanic has agreed to take the part to a machine shop in an attempt to fab a replacement because Husqvarna is obviously not the least bit concerned about getting my 5 acres mowed before it consumes my house. Very disappointed, will definitely not be recommending this manufacturer.

Bought a new Husqvarna lawn tractor Model 960450049. The tractor had less than 5 hours running time. I started the mower to put in the shed, within about 30 yards of travel it caught on fire, quit running and burned completely. Reported the problem to Lowes. They said they would contact me back in a couple of days. Its been 2 weeks, heard nothing.

Purchased a 223L trimmer after reading reviews. This trimmer has lots of power and starts easy every time. But it will burn/blister my R forearm. The exhaust exits at my elbow. I am not the first person to get burnt by this trimmer. The Consumer Products Safety Division has received a lot of the same complaint. So far Husqvarna has yet to respond to my complaints. This product needs recalled as it is dangerous.

Had had mower one year and been to shop twice to level deck’ deck is the heavy constructed deck and scalps yard. Is there a fix? Measured blades to a flat surface and they are same distances. The problem seems to be the deck does not flex. Mower handle great with auto locking differential but ready to burn it because the way it scalps.

Bought a dealership model Husqvarna GTH26V52LS two years ago. Had several problems with it the first season. Now at the beginning of season 2 1/2 with 7 months of promised warranty left, they tell me my transaxle Hydro-Gear is leaking and it is a sealed unit and a new one is $1287.65. This is a mower that spends its down time in a heated air conditioned shop. It has only 132 hours on it. No I did not run over a truck or stump or something, it just puked all the oil out while setting over the winter. As usual, my local no service dealer could not help and Husqvarnas no service personnel said sorry and the manufacturer said its out of warranty. Seems that everything on the mower from the air in the tires to the paint job has a 3-year warranty but of course the hydro-gear has a two-year warranty. Stay away from Husqvarna as they are quick to sell you a product but they do not know you once you walk out the door.

After reading the other reviews, I see, we are not the only ones with complaints. At $3.69 a gallon and at least an acre to cut, I have to go over the lawn at least 2 times to get it cut even, and even then, it looks bad. Our old Sears cuts better than our newer Husqvarna. We heard we were getting good quality, but apparently not. We, too, purchased new blades and had the machine adjusted, but plain and simple, it does not cut well. We are really disappointed.

Bought a 42 riding mower to replace my 12 year old Craftsman 42. The Husqvarna seemed to be stonger steel body and deck. Deck is claimed to be armored and guaranteed 10 years. This spring I did my first cut and was hosing it off and under the deflector chute the deck was tearing. Honestly the same thing happened to the Craftsman but after 10 years of use. I had to pay to have it brought to a dealer to inspect for warranty coverage (photos from me would not suffice). Dealer said I cant put in for warranty defect your blade obviously hit and tore the deck. I asked him to weld it which he did. Question is: under normal use when we all hit the rock or stick or whatever should we expect the deck to tear. Why not armor the edge of the chute like you do the edge around the base of the deck?? How does a deck fail in 10 years to be covered by the warranty? Rust? I should also warn possible buyers that the center of gravity on Husqvarnas is much higher than my Craftsman---meaning it will tip over on a grade where the Craftsman kept steady. So be careful if you feel the grade bringing you to a tipping point.

DO NOT BUY A HUSQVARNA - I did and I regret it. I am preparing to return my Husqvarna GTH52XLS garden tractor to the dealer for the 3rd time this summer. It started out running very rough, and then would die. When I took it in the second time, for the same problem, during that trip to the dealer I was told that I had an additional problem of the clutch being bad and would be going out. Fortunately this problem, as well as the idler pulley (which was also going out) were still covered under the factory warranty. I picked up the garden tractor yesterday, after it had been in the shop for 24 days, I brought it home and everything seemed to be working fine. I mowed for approximately 1 hour and brought it to the garage to add fuel. After refueling the mower would not start, it fired slowly and then would die. I called the dealer and he told me to bring it in again. Each time I take it to them it costs me $65 to rent a trailer for the round trip. Each time they have the mower they have kept it for at least 18 days. I spend a lot of money on this mower, over $3,400, and I expected a quality piece of equipment, it has been anything but a quality machine. Each dealer in my area, that I have spoken to, has told me that they stopped being a dealer and no longer carry Husqvarna parts. They said that the reason for no longer being a dealer has to with the quality of the machines and the fact that it takes them so long to get replacement parts, they report wait times of 6 weeks and sometimes even longer - they are getting tired of getting complaints from their customers. Although I have approximately 135 hours on the mower and I have had it for about 1 1/2 years, I am going to see what it will take to return it and to get my money back. I realize that I will undoubtedly have little luck with this, I am still going to try.

Model YTH2454 riding mower. One month and one week after warranty is done the mower decides it wants to have the rear axle separate (break) away from the rest of the mower and roll down my driveway unstoppable. I could have died that day. Called them about it and they say I need to call an authorized dealer to have it looked at to see if it can be fixed at my cost. They also say there is no recall and that there is no problem of their fault because the warranty has run out.

Bought a Husqvarna YTH18542 Lawn Tractor from Lowe’s. After the first use, I found the parking brake would not lock in the on position. This is a safety issue, the mower could roll into someone or something. The problem was a pin or clip that joins the locking mechanism to the brake mechanism was missing. Whether it had fallen out or was never installed I don’t know. Called Lowe’s, they were great and replaced the tractor. Took the new one out, used it for two hours and guess what? Same thing. Contacted Husqvarna. Useless. “Take it to a dealer or we can send a part and you can fix it yourself”. No interest in trying to determine if it’s a design or quality issue. Thank God they don’t make aircraft!

3 trans in 3 years. Bought our new mower in 2016. We have less than an acre and only cut once a week during the season. We are now on our 3rd transmission and Husqvarna will not acknowledge that there is a problem with this, OR a recall. The honest repair manager at the dealership told me they are fixing a lot of these for this reason. He also told his boss that they should not sell this as they are not built well. There are plastic parts where there should be metal, which is one of the problems. If you are thinking about buying one, dont. If you are still going to get one, the first time you hear a grinding noise in back, take it in and hope that will be in the 12 month warranty, otherwise youre screwed. Terrible problem and Husqvarna doesnt give a crap. Sad.

I was looking for a Chainsaw for my Wife. I choose Husqvarna. I found a 240 series 38.2 2 stroke motor. It was light, looked to be user friendly and really nice to look at. Before trying to start it I read the manual, gassed and oiled it up. I went to pull start it and it acted like the motor was locked up. I checked the chain break and it was off. We had a family emergency and I was not able to look at it for several weeks. I tried again to start it and it was so hard to pull. I then called the company called Innovations and told them my problem. They looked me up in their computer and found me. They did at that time let me know that it was not under warranty! I have only owned it for a few months I said, she told it has a 90 day warranty! I missed it on the paperwork that was sent with the saw. I then was stuck either taking it to the shop in Town or work on it myself. First thing on this saw I noticed three adjustment holes on the left side of the plastic cover. Husqvarna told me that the carb cannot be adjusted by the consumer and that I need a special tool that refuse to sell me! I then learned that it can be adjusted with a Bic pen with the ink inners removed. Armed with my pen and tearing this thing apart so I can get it freed up I finally got this thing to run and idle! This saw just ran rough and when I turned it off it was back to hard to pull! After working on freeing this thing up again, I got it to start and run. Well it stopped on its own and would not restart! After troubled shooting this thing again, I found a fouled Champion plug! I drove over to John Deere to buy a new plug. After I bought and paid for the plug I walked over to the saws. I found a Sthil saw on sale for almost the same price as the Husqvarna. So I bought it! The sales person that I have dealt with for years stated that that Husqvarna is not a Husqvarna, its a Sears Chainsaw!... Huh? I would if been better to buy one at Harbor Freight! This my experience with the Husqvarna 240 38.2 14 inch bar saw. The only thing I can say is if I would of known what I found out the hard way I would say to anyone that comes in contact with this saw is... RUN FORREST RUN!

Bought a 4824f zero turn last yr. Ran great. Ended up with about 42 hrs. on it. It started fine this yr., but since then had 5 issues. First was supposedly because of the gas and ethanol, but it wouldnt fire. I put gas on spark plugs and no fire. The mechanic claimed because of water and tore the carburetor apart twice. He DID get started so ok. That was $205, I paid. Then I mowed a lawn and had to clean the deck. When I got back on it, no start again. Solenoid this time. So the dealer replaced it no cost. Yaaaa. Then I mowed two lawns and the next time I jump on it, no start. Take it back to the dealer because electrically, something is wrong. The mechanic replaced the starter after 1 1/2 wks. And it starts. Then he puts the starter on his bench and guess what, the bendix no longer was stuck. It worked fine. What is going on!? Finally today I mowed my lawn, and it stopped in midstream. I thought I ran out of gas, but I checked and had gas. Jumped back on it and nothing. No noise whatsoever. I checked voltage and had 12.74 V to the started. No what. I figure what of the sensors. A buddy of mine said maybe a fuse to the ignition. Why, why, why? 52 hrs. and so bs ready to trade, sell, and go somewhere else.

The new yth20k46 lawn tractor was bought new with 60 hours on meter because the geniuses at Lowe’s left the key on. The carriage bolt for shield under front of the deck fell off first time mowing. It swung back and hit the blade. The blade was bent. Also, the blade dug into the ground and snapped the mandrel, bringing mower to screeching halt and almost throwing me off. 4 weeks of trying to get it repaired resulted in a new yth21k46, after nearly going ballistic with their service rep on the phone. Fast forward to 84 hours on the new one and bang! I look down to see the deck being dragged sideways after left supporting bracket simply broke off the deck, defective welds. You can clearly see that one had been cracked/broken probably since new and the other just fatigued and finally snapped at a whopping 84 hours. In order to keep from voiding my warranty and repairing it myself (which would have taken 5 minutes), again I wasted another month trying to get it resolved. The welds the service center put on this thing look like my 11 year-old did them. I can hardly wait for them to break again as Im sure the whole flimsy surrounding area is now brittle from too much heat. I waited the last week for them to “finish up” and finally drove the 45 miles to the shop to find out they were just waiting for the claim to be approved. Seriously?! Hope it worked out for them, because I came home with my mower! Something about welding on the deck done by a “certified welder”! What like the factory? Im sure anyone out there who knows a thing or two about welding would only shake their head and scowl at the photos of how they “fixed” this deck. So, to sum things up, two spring growing seasons spent without a mower for a month each time. You can bet Ill never buy another one of these orange pieces of junk. Next year, I can only assume itll be the same thing. Unless of course, we have a severe drought in which the grass doesn’t grow. Another peeve, the discharge chute arrangement stinks, unless you like everything you mow to be left in clumpy and piled up streaks of cut grass all over the yard. It looks like, well, you get the idea.

I purchased a Riding Lawn Mower from Lowes in August 2019. Each time I try to start the mower it has been an issue which has gotten worse. The lawnmower was run 2 or 3 times before the winter. A friend came over to cut my grass the end of March. The lawnmower cut off and would not re-start. After sitting a few days and a few tries it finally started. During the month of April it has been a chore to get it started and sometimes I have to sit and wait until it wants to get started. There is a smoke coming out of the motor. In the month of April I have replaced the battery and put oil in it. The beginning of April the mower registered 4.8 hours, the end of April it is on 7 hours. A majority of this time is sitting and waiting for it to start!Of course Lowes does NOT want to help! I called Husqvarna several times they DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE! I spoke with a Husqvarna Dealer in the area, who informed me Husqvarna says they will NOT be honoring their warranty and I have to pay a trip ticket fee and for it to be picked up. I have attempted in good faith to contact Lowes, Husqvarna and an authorized Husq. Dealer. Husqvarna is blaming me for putting too much oil in the mower causing it to smoke, even though it was smoking before I put oil in it and NO one has looked at it yet! You have chosen not to fix your lawnmower that is a lemon! Consumer Affairs give me what options I have. Thank you.

Right after purchase, had a rear tire that wouldnt stop leaking air. Turned out to be a defective rim that wouldnt hold air. This should have been a warning to me what poor quality Husqvarna mowers are. After 1 year of mowing, the frame broke right where the transmission/rear wheel assembly mounts. The dealer said they had never seen this before but that Husqvarna had a kit for this problem. Right away, you know that this is a known problem if there is a kit. So after one month without a mower, got the kit installed and thought the problem was over. No, the nightmare of owning a Husqvarna mower continued. Another year and another break in the frame, this time right beside where the kit mounts. This time the dealer had the mower for 6 weeks and then told me that Husqvarna wouldnt fix it. They said it had been misused. What a joke! Misused must mean mowing a standard lawn. I guess my old Craftsman mower which mowed that same lawn for 15 years without a problem had never heard that mowing was misuse for a riding lawn mower. Needless to say, I am disgusted with the local dealer and with Husqvarna. They are still selling this piece of junk. This is a known problem, with many people reporting the same thing. If they had any integrity they would have issued a recall. So anyone thinking of purchasing a riding mower... stay clear of Husqvarna... Their customer service is terrible and they dont support what they sell.

First of all, I wish there was a choice of no stars (if you know what I mean) but since I have to, I will put 1 star. Last year, we purchased a Husqvarna lawn tractor YTH24k48. The battery had to be boosted off every time we used it. The tire went flat almost immediately. I bought this for my fiance (I wish now I would have purchased a John Deere). We have about an acre of flat yard to mow. For all of you who are insinuating that complainers here dont know what they are doing regarding operating a rider, thats hogwash. We have done all maintenance as is recommended in the manual (thats a positive we DID get one of those) to the specs as required oil, etc. Now the big problem: Hes on the mower mowing on flat grass and the lawn tractor starts shaking violently (we are very fortunate than no one was hurt) when suddenly he hears a big sound and he is hearing impaired. The blade falls off going into the ground making a half circle mark in the yard. We called Lowes where it was purchased (and no, for the know-it-alls, Lowes does not put them together; they remove them off a pallet and take them out of a box already assembled by the qualified Husqvarna team... not my problem). Now I called Lowes. I returned the mower to Lowes; I have owned it for 1 year 1 month so its still under warranty. Lowes sent the mower to Lanier someplace down in GA who of course works for Husqvarna. They have had the mower since May 15th; in a few days, it will be 4 weeks. Meantime grass is not getting shorter. Rider has been used a total of maybe 6 times mowing flat grass with nothing to hit. Now we are being told that the blade falling off is not a warranty issue (luckily he was not injured or we would have another issue). I dont know about you but I dont believe blades should just fall off any mower much less a $2000 mower used so little. Husqvarna mechanics, I am hearing through Lowes, are stating in their diagnostics report that the lawnmower hit something. The only possibility of anything being hit would have been a clump of grass, a small stick, or possibly though not likely a small rock of which none should make the blade fall off and so violently. We are waiting for a return call from Husqvarna (they have not returned my calls and when I call them, I am put on hold for long periods of 30 minutes or more). There is no customer service from Husqvarna. Lowes corporate office customer service has called me and appears genuinely nice but is he really concerned? We will see. I am waiting. We know many people that would be prospective buyers of Husqvarna lawnmowers. If I have anything to say about it, I will be sure to sway them away from these horrible products. I wish that I had found this site before purchasing such a piece of crap. Oh and by the way, I also purchased a Husqvarna push mower style weedeater. It worked great for a few weeks and suddenly quit and will not crank or anything so thats next to go back. Im not feeling good about any of this due to the way things have been handled so far. What happened to good ole fashioned customer service? Husqvarna is willing to lose potential customers and many sales rather than admit to poor quality and spend a little to fix their shoddy products. Buyers beware, steer way clear of Husqvarna products especially lawn mowers. Im very angry and disappointed.

Stay away from the 562XP! Bought the saw at the start of summer to compliment my other competitor’s saw. Used the same gas and oil mix in my competitor’s saw as well as in the Husqvarna 562XP. After less than 24 hours of use, I took the saw in because it was getting progressively harder to start. After being in the service shop for 42 days I got a call saying that the carburetor has some worn parts that would be covered under warranty. Great, covered under warranty and it will be a couple more weeks until they get the parts installed. A couple weeks pass and I call the shop and they say that it still isnt running quite right and they are looking for something else wrong, now the saw has been in repair for 2 months and they still dont know what is wrong. Get a call a few weeks later stating that the piston is scored and not covered under warranty, “Sorry nothing we can do.” As I said before I run the same gas/oil mix for my competitor’s saw as well as the Husqvarna. Ended up taking my competitor’s saw into the dealer to see if that piston had any trouble, and he said it looked perfect. Called Husqvarna to inquire about the manufacturer defect, and why it would not be covered under warranty. They were rude and would not let you talk to anyone that knew anything about the chainsaw and said they will communicate directly with the shop, nothing I can do about it, and no one I can talk to. So after paying just over 700 dollars for the saw I got 24 hours of use out of it. Terrible service, horrible customer service, and a joke of a chainsaw. Will never buy another product with the name Husqvarna on it again. Buyer beware, stay away! You have been warned.Update: on 12/6/14 I took the saw to two independent (Non-Husqvarna) dealers, both looked at the piston which was scored on the exhaust side only, both stated that running on straight fuel, or an improper mixture would give both intake and exhaust, nearly 360 degree damage, not what my saw has. They both said that due to the intake side being perfect that it was likely another problem. The one dealer said he would suspect an air leak, and that would be covered if I would have bought his saw. The one dealer admitted to Husqvarna being a terrible company for a customer to deal with. So once again, you have been warned, buy a different brand. They also blocked my review several times on their website, so I have decided to post on their facebook page instead!

Crank, no start at times. Starter drive does not engage the flywheel. When finally engages engine barely runs blowing black and gray smoke! Seems to be run on one cylinder. ONCE ENGINE FINALLY CLEARS OUT RUNS GOOD! Tractor stored in covered location under cabin Northeastern Pa. It is 2013 w/ 52 hrs on it! It has been at Husqvarna dealer going on week 4. Been told on 3 different phone conversations that it needs starter, SHOCKER KNEW THAT WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF! Now being told it would be quicker for me to pay for it myself and fix myself than to wait for warranty to clear for authorization from Husqvarna/Kohler! Hoping the best, expecting the worst!

In October 2016 I purchased a Husqvarna 125BVX Leaf Blower from Lowes. After 13 months of use it refused to start. I replaced the spark plug and still no start. I checked the compression with my thumb over the plug hole while pulling the rope and thought it was low. I took it to my local Husqvarna repair shop and was told in fact the blower had 55 lbs of compression, about half what it was supposed to. It has a two year warranty but was told that since I didnt purchase it there they would have to disassemble the blower and send pictures to Husqvarna to see if they would repair it under warranty. If they did I would have to pay for the repairs and file a claim with the company to get re-reimbursed. I thanked them and took the blower with me. I then took it to Lowes and they sent it to their authorized repair center. The center called after about a week and informed me that the blower had been operated with improper lubrication and with water in the fuel mix. Both things I knew to be incorrect. They told me it would cost me $207.00 to replace the piston and rings and rebuild the carburetor. I told them I could replace it cheaper than that just send it back unrepaired. I went to pick it up and was presented with a $61.00 bill for diagnosis. I told them to just keep the blower for the fee and they couldnt do that. Lowes marked the fee off and gave me the blower back. It has no evidence of being disassembled. I contacted Husqvarna customer service and they stood behind the incorrect diagnosis, and said they were sorry. So now I have replaced it with another brand. I wouldnt recommend buying anything with the Husqvarna name on it. It seems that they will come up with any kind of lame excuse to refuse to do warranty repairs.

On 7/22/2010, I received a new Husqvarna Rotary Lawn Mower (Part no: 917.376823 / Product no: 7021) as part of an exchange for another mower from Sears. I have had nothing but problems with the Husqvarna’s carburetor. On 11/26/2010, the mower stopped running and I had to return the mower to Sears for repair. After two weeks, I was told the problem was with the mowers carburetor; it was repaired and returned to me. On 6/20/2011, the mower stopped running and I had to return it to Sears. The problem was again the carburetor; it was repaired and returned to me after 2 weeks. On 10/8/2011, the mower stopped running and I had to return it to Sears. The problem was the carburetor; it was repaired and returned to me after two weeks. On 5/1/2012, the mower stopped working. I returned it to Sears and they told me it was yet again a problem with the Carburetor. It was repaired and returned to me on 5/19/2012. I have since purchased a Toro lawn mower. On 10/6/2012, I decided to use the Husqvarna and the mower stopped running after a short period of time. I will not be returning it to Sears; I know what the problem is. Based on the number of problems with the same component and the constant returns and long periods of time without a mower, I would not recommend the purchase of a Husqvarna lawn mower.

We purchased a new Husqvarna YTH21K46 riding mower from Lowe’s located in New Hartford NY store a few years back. While I was mowing our lawn yesterday (7/16/17) I noticed flames shooting out the front cowl. This appeared to be a fuel line that may have became defective and failed. The mower is complete loss and we are now looking for a new mower within only a few years of purchasing this one. Local law enforcement and fire department were called to extinguish the blaze since the fuel tank was nearly full. We have had nothing but problems with this mower since we purchased it, the engine mounts were never tightened from the factory and I had to install new ones. The welds on the mower deck broke and had to be re-welded. The exhaust manifold kept coming loose, the list goes on and on.This is very disappointing and somewhat disturbing knowing this fire could have caused serious injury. We won’t be purchasing another mower from Husqvarna due to the quality of the product. I have reached out to Husqvarna about this issue and they did take an incident report and said they would be calling me back. I will update again once they respond or if they respond.

My Husqvarna blower model 125B is less than 2 years old. It quit running so I called Husqvarna to learn what I had to do to get it fixed. I took it to one of their authorized dealers for repair. When I went to pick it up, they charged me $42.08 to repair a gas line. So I called Husqvarna again and was told that gas lines were not covered and they hung up on me. I have a Stihl blower that is 7 years old and a Sears blower that is 12 years old and I never had problems with the gas line. They must be using very cheap gas lines and obviously dont care to keep me as a customer. I would never buy one of their products again and I will tell anyone I see looking at one of their products not to buy one. Buy a Stihl or anything but a Husqvarna.

I purchased a Husqvarna 46 cut Lawnmower model #YTH21K46 on 3-12-12. Used it once and the second time I started it, gas was gushing out of the muffler. I took it back on 3-16-12 and got the same model. I used it once. The second time I used it, cut for 25 minutes and it shut off. It had the same problem, gas coming out muffler and filter compartment. The first mower failed with 1.5 hours on the engine. The second mower failed with 1.7 hours on the engine. My yard size is 1.5 acres.

I purchased an all wheel drive Husqvarna mower from Lowes and it was a good reliable lawn mower for about a year, after that I started having problems with the transmission. I ended up pushing more than it went forward on its own (it went very slow). The 3rd season (still under warranty) I brought it in for repair and the service center said it was used commercially and not used for residential cutting so they said it was abused. I had a Toro for 20 years and it was still running when I got rid of it. I live on a half-acre so theres a lot of grass but I dont own a lawn maintenance service and I do not let anybody else mow with my lawn mower. I also dont know how you abuse a transmission, the outside of a lawnmower is just fine and so is the oil and it starts up just fine. I called Husqvarna to dispute it but they said they stand by the repair centers judgment since they cant see the lawn mower. They sent me a $50 gift certificate to go use at the service center. I never brought the lawn mower in for any repairs, this would be the only warranty issue and they still would not cover it. I do not recommend Husqvarna.

Hi, I purchased a Husqvarna tractor - yth2348 in 2012 which ran OK for 2 years, and since then continually throws off the drive belt every time I try to back the machine up. Its starting to do that in forward direction now too. I put a new drive belt on which did nothing to help, checked the pulleys and belt retainers at the pulleys, and all are good. It is a shame to spend so much money on a tractor that is the most unreliable machine I have ever operated. And I am a heavy equipment operator. I usually dont write reviews but feel compelled to tell everyone from what I have read about Husqvarna machines and my own experience... DO NOT EVER purchase a Husqvarna ANYTHING! THEY are all junk, and the US Attorney General should intervene as it is a CRIME to sell these pieces of Husqvarna junk.

I am sorry for all the troubles folks have had with Husqvarna power equipment that have expressed their disappointment here. However, I feel that I must tell all of you that I own several units of Husqvarna power equipment (chainsaws and mowers) that have operated flawlessly for many years. I am not the only one who is happy with their Husky either. My equipment has been properly maintained by authorized service centers and myself as per the maintenance schedule in the owners manual. I use the recommended additives, fuels, oils, grease and filters for maintenance. They were bought from authorized dealer/repair centers that properly assembled the equipment from the beginning, not Lowes employees that I doubt have any training or very little at best on proper assembly (not the employees fault). A cheaper price is not always a better buy my friends! As for the axle and engine troubles with riders, everyone who makes anything makes a mistake now and then. Its not a personal attack against you, Husqvarna relies on others to build quality components to mate to their equipment. As a result, Husqvarna suffers from disappointment also. I know your problems are your main concern and they do matter, but read the reviews from the Husqvarna website for the product you are wanting to buy or already own. You will see a pattern of where things were purchased, how they were maintained and operated and the problems that soon followed. There are instances where the product just failed to meet standard, Husqvarna is not perfect. I have just never encountered one of those instances where they failed me.

Husqvarna Lawn tractor YTH22V46 - 1st. Issue: Ordered online from DR POWER EQUIPMENT. Order Confirmation from POWER EQUIPMENT PLUS on 8/11/2013. DR POWER EQUIPMENT Order has shipped on 8/13/2013. Recd packing slip from Country Home Product. 2nd. Issue: Very hard to start, struggled with it for one summer. Finally went on line to ** and found a article about starting problems on this L.T. The choke was not adjusted properly at the factory. A simple turn of the screw on the bracket which holds the cable allowing it to move freely. Jumped on and turned the key and it started right up! 3rd. Issue: After running the L.T. for about a hour on 5/15/2015 went to start and it wouldnt. Gasoline was pouring out of the manifold. Now the L.T. is at the Local Husqvarna Dealer waiting for at least two (2) weeks for a carburetor repair. Local dealer has one repair man and a two week back log of Husqvarna products. No idea what this repair will cost. They will call with estimate! My advice - buy the green one!

Bought AWD Husqvarna mower at Ace Hardware less than 2 years ago. Brought it home, gassed it up and would not start. Took it back and they messed with it and put premium no ethanol gas in it. Back home it started. I rarely use this mower as a yardman usually mows my lawn, but I use it to tidy up. The mower has been used maybe 4 times. I have used it once this year on 05-10-2015 and tried to use it today 05-22-2015. The AWD is not working. The cable is loose and will not empower the AWD. The thing is impossible to push without the AWD. This mower has not worked properly from the git-go and I should have asked for my money back. Now I have to somehow load this heavy thing up and take it to a repair shop. I am 75 years old and wish I had bought a cheap mower from Wal-Mart as I have done in the past and had no problems with them, plus Wal-Mart will return your money if returned in a timely manner. Ace did not want to do this and they are local and I live in a small town, but I should have stood my ground and insisted on a refund.

Ive had the mower rz4216 about 2 years and mow a standard size subdivision lot (less than 1/4 acre). The mower stopped moving and I discovered the rear wheel drive idler pulley had failed, throwing the belt off and destroying it. I ordered a new pulley and belt, installed them, and one year later the same thing has happened. The pulley is a composite material and one of the flanges keeps breaking off. Tried to make sure of alignment but still failed. This mower not a good choice.

Husqvarna HU 675 AWD walk behind mower. I purchased this mower in June of 2
Husqvarna HU 675 AWD walk behind mower. I purchased this mower in June of 2014. It has a 3 year warranty. So far it has had a running problem which the dealer found to be a part missing on the carburetor. The dealer replaced the whole carb under warranty. The front drive wheel adjusters bent and both wheels were angled in at the top and out at the bottom. The dealer replaced both front adjusters under warranty but Husqvarna said they would not ever replace them under warranty again as they thought it must be from me abusing the mower, which is not true. The second summer the rear wheels center hubs wore out and both wheels and rear adjusters and some gears in the wheels were replaced by the dealers after a several week wait for parts. The blade adapter wore out so that the blade just spun around. I replaced the adapter and blade at my expense after waiting for parts to come. The outside of the air filter, the filter, and the pre- filter fell off and were lost. I had to buy the new improved complete assembly at my expense because they no longer made the one that my mower came with. This part took about a week to get. The front wheel adjusters were straightened by the dealer but after 2 mowings they are bent again and will not hold adjustment. Last week the drive cable for the AWD broke and they are on back order of at least 15 days. I contacted Husqvarna the time before this breakdown and was on the phone an hour with them and on hold. They did nothing but ask me for model and serial numbers and name at each person I was connected to. After 1 hour of talking and waiting on hold they disconnected me. Today I called again and was told they needed all the info again although they have had many records with my name on this mower. I did not have the info as the mower was in the shop so they would not begin to help me. I went to the shop and called them back with the info and after an hour they said they would review what has happened and call me back. Needless to say I purchased an expensive mower that I thought I would get great service from and that just has not happened. I have spent many weeks each summer without a mower that is usable. It does not matter that it is under warranty because it is their discretion whether the mower is being abused. The dealer has claimed several times that I am letting a fat woman ride on it or that I am jumping up and down on it or that my wife and kids are doing something to it. Nobody has used or probably ever touched the mower except me and the dealer. At the moment I once again am without a mower while it sits in the shop for over 2 weeks minimum for a part that is back ordered. On a positive note, both the front and rear wheel adjusters have now on the newer models have been replaced by a different type. The air cleaner housing has been replaced on the new models by one that has an additional snap which may keep it from falling off. Meanwhile I wait weeks to get my sub standard mower repaired... again.

I purchased a new Husqvarna ST224 snow blower November 17, 2014. Our first snow was today, January 6, 2015. I have about 5 inches of snow on my driveway and when I started to clear it with my brand new, never used Husqvarna snow blower after about ten minutes of us the drive wheels stopped turning and parts fell out the under side of the snow blower. When I called the owner of Mower Zone in Danville, Indiana his response was, I sorry but it is mechanical and sometimes mechanical things break. I understand mechanical thinks breaking but not in the first ten minutes of use! The Manager of Mower Zone said he would send someone to pick it up and see if they could fix it. I ask for a loaner to be able to clear my driveway and he said they didnt do that. If that isnt enough to steer you away from Husqvarna, there was a $50 mail in rebate on this model snow blower. I sent in the rebate form and have not received the rebate. When I try to call to find out the status I get a recording telling me they are having technical problems and my call cannot be processed and I should call back at another time. This has been going on for weeks. I know I will never see my $50 rebate Husqvarna promised.

Next is shift lever... on left side... same side you get off and on... catches your pants EVERY time you get on or off!!! May 27th 2013, I had purchased a brand new Husqvarna yth2348 riding mower the hour meter just turned 49 hrs yesterday on May 26 2014 as I was mowing my lawn for the 2nd time this year, as I was tuning a corner I heard a weird noise. I looked down at the mower and seen 3/4 of the mower deck hanging out of the passenger side of the mower. I put the parking brake on went to step down and the belt flew off and waked me in the left ankle making the side of my foot go numb shut the mower down and found that the welds holding the brackets on the mower deck broke right off, as a welder/mechanic by trade of 30 yrs. There were welds that didnt take the welds were rusted 3/4 percent only leaving maybe a 1/16 of an inch holding the brackets to the deck. Went to the hospital for my foot which I can no longer feel my big toe and the side of my foot, Dr. says possible nerve damage. I called sears and Husqvarna and explained to them what had happened. I do have a witness that seen this happen. I will say I will never buy another Husqvarna product as they have cheapened their products, no quality control cheap porous welds. I am now getting the atty. gen and my own atty involved. Buyers Beware.

I purchased a new O turn at the beginning of the season. The very first time I mowed it bent a push rod. Didnt even get my yard mowed all the way. Mower had 4 hours on it and when it was delivered it had over 2. The dealership I purchased from wanted to charge me for pick up so I called a different one and thankfully they were great and didnt charge that. Still though. EVERY TIME I mow, the belt comes off as soon as I turn the blades on. I oil the blades every time before I mow. I baby the mower. I had had this dealership come get it 3 times now. They put a new belt on it, they adjusted the blades, nothing has helped. It started sneaking while in motion at about 10 hours. Only one of the headlights work. I could go on and on. IT is a Lemon. I have called Husqvarna. They just tell me to call the dealer. What happens when my warranty is up? My brother has had the same mower for 4 years, just an older version, never one issue. This is just ridiculous. If I wanted these problems I could have bought old used mower. Thats what I feel like I have. I have not mowed the yard one time without a problem.

I purchased a Husqvarna LGT 2654 garden tractor 5/17/2014. Big mistake! Just over 2yrs later and the transmission is shot. I have just under 2 acres of land and one hill on the side of my house. The guy at Lowes where I purchased the tractor told me I need a heavy duty tractor to do my yard which that is why I purchased a garden tractor. I talked with somebody from Husqvarna and two Husqvarna dealers because I get two different stories on the warranty. I was told the warranty is only good for 2 years and then someone else tells me 3 years. Both dealers told me they would have to contact Husqvarna and Tuff Torq the manufacturer of the transmission to see if warranty would cover transmission. Good luck on that one. I had to keep calling them because they would not get back with you. Then I was told I would have to pay around $1000.00 for a new transmission. I went with Husqvarna because I thought they were a reputable company and was in business for a long time. I guess they are just to big now to care about their customers. I will never purchase another Husqvarna product again.

I bought this Husqvarna 42xls in Sep. of 2012. It has 120 hr. on. It started burning up belts. Went through 3 new belts before carrying in to the dealer for repairs. Said it would be 10 days to two weeks before it would be ready. Two weeks pass did not hear from them. Just went in to check on it. And it was push in the back of the shop. Said they could not get a hold of me. The case on the trans. was cracked on both sides. I had made a power hatch and installed it on the back. They took one look at it and that was the cause the problem. They say the belt was out under the mower that the tram and frame is connected to was not hooked up. I told them it never was but they did not believe me. So what good does it to buy a warranty.

Where do I start? First off its battery was weak. Most times, I would kill the battery starting the machine. Brought it to the dealer several times (I dont live in town so had to trailer it each time costing me gas and time). Eventually they said the battery was faulty and replaced it. Brought it home and it happened again. Brought it back, and it took two weeks to have it looked at, parts ordered, and get it back. Turns out they had to replace the whole wiring harness even though they didnt see anything wrong with it...the only thing left that it could be they said. By this time, the summer was over and I had only one more mowing for the season. Now to backtrack a little, I was having another problem with the belt coming off and had it to the shop at least twice to have it adjusted. I am quite capable of doing this myself of course but it kept coming off so...back to the shop. They put the belt back on and tried another tension adjustment. Got it home, mowed about 5 minutes and off it comes again. Didnt finish the grass, was pissed so I hauled the battery out and shoved it in the garage. This spring I raised the mower with my backhoe, put the belt back on and inspected the system. ** design, the belt is nearly round and as far as I can tell, it inverts and pops off. With only 5.6 hours on the machine the belt is in tethers from coming off. Good enough. Laid her back down and put the battery back in. Not a gig. Boosted it, not a gig. Again brought it back to the dealer. Turns out the flywheel had a crack in it. Another three weeks waiting with the grass now to my knees. I have a lot of area to mow. I have had this mower two years now and it spent the bulk of its life in the shop with 5.6 hours on it. I contacted Husqvarna and said I wanted a replacement machine as this one is a lemon. I cant begin to say how dissatisfied I was with the response. I got a complaints department who said that there was no one above them that I could talk to. What bull. What were they, the owners!? I run a resort here and I have a lot of equipment around that I have to depend on. I always buy new no I dont get other peoples junk and full warranty. I could have bought a cheaper brand and got a better machine but no, I spent $4000 on this piece of crap that has been in the shop for two years. They told me they couldnt replace it unless the cost was 70% of cost. What about customer service?

Bought model 725 AWD push mower from Lowes in Sept. 2015. Used it 5 times and begin having to pull rope too many times to get mower started. Suppose to start in two pulls. Then at about 10 times using it All Wheel Drive cable stopped working. After looking at the underside of mower noticed molded part of transmission where cable goes into was broken off and missing so AWD is useless now.Mower is too heavy to push without the belt working. No help from Lowes customer service and couldnt find a local dealer to try and get it fixed under the 3-year warranty. Which Im pretty sure they would say it was my fault. Transmission part that broke was made of plastic. Bad choice for a $500 mower. Husqvarna doesnt even carry the transmission after a year old. Replacement part online from source other than Husqvarna is $80 plus the cost of having it installed. Not buying another mower from them!

I bought a Husqvarna LGT2554 which I paid 2600 for. Thought it would be a good mower that would last me for awhile and I even bought a four year warranty. Boy was I wrong! It wasnt long that I had the mower that the Right front wheel fell off. The bearings chewed up. That came out and took it to the shop. Bearing on back order. Finally get the mower back weeks later and start mowing again. After several hours of use same wheel falls off. To shorten the story this went on for the first three years I had this mower not to mention the starter going out. After three years of the wheel falling off they finally put a new front axle on it which was on back order. Didnt get to use the mower the whole year. When I did get it back it didnt take many hours of us before the same wheel fell off. They put a new wheel on it this time. Started mowing again when I got it back and the next thing it wont move. I figured the main drive belt broke but it was intact. Started pushing it back to the house and lo and behold the left rear wheel falls off. Upon inspection, the axle broke. By this time my extended warranty had ran out. Called Husqvarna and they basically told me that they were not going to do anything. I had this mower four years and it stayed in the shop more than I mowed with it. I had to buy a new mower this year and you can bet it wasnt a Husqvarna. I think when you pay that much for something it should last for years if you take care of it. This on was a lemon from the word go!!

May 28th, 2016 I purchased the 54 Husqvarna riding mower from our local Lowes Home Store. We were told that it was top of the line for quality and customer service. As we were in the process of buying it we asked several times about warranty and owners manuals, the cashier ignored us. They finally went online and printed a copy, but gave us no warranty card or any of the tools for adjusted mower components or washing the deck. As we exited the store and walked to where they were loading the mower I watched them ram the grass guard against the side of the trailer and heard a crack. The guys loading it told me, No worries. Come back on Monday and we will give you a new one. When I got it home to unload it, I noticed that it did not look new. There were signs that it had been used before. So on the initial test run I pulled the knob upward to engage the mower deck and the engine almost choked out and the mower deck shook violently and then the entire body of the mower continued to vibrate as I started to mow. During this run I notice that the digital hour indicator read 7 hours, but the one that I thought I was buying only read 1.2 hours of use. About 20 minutes into my mowing the transmission disengaged and the mower stopped dead in its track. This happened again about 10 minutes later. This forced me to shut down the mower, get off and reengage the transmission pin each time it happened. I finally shut the mower down so I could look the mower over better. I notice scratches on this mower that was not on the one I had purchased. I also looked underneath the mowers blade and deck and up toward the deck drive-belt pulley and noticed that the base of the center shaft appeared slightly bent and the mower deck did not appear to be attached properly. So what I bought was a new mower, but loaded a refurbished one in its place. I loaded the mower back up and delivered directly back to Lowes. I spent three hours trying to get my new mower and Lowes staff gave me the biggest run-a-round ever. They tried to tell me that they could send it back to the dealer and have the mower repair, but I would be responsible for the cost of repairs. I flat refused to take anything other than a new one. Then a store rep took me out to show me one identical to mine, but he said was new. I was looking it over and there were signs everywhere indicating it was used. The seat was torn, there was dirt and grass under the mower deck and again, documentation package was missing. I went back to Customer Service and demanded a refund on the spot and after a few minutes the store manager came over and completed the transaction and my $2500 plus dollars was refunded.I blame Husqvarna 30% for the poor quality of their equipment, but Lowes gets the most blame for their poor customer service and deceptive business practices. I have no intentions of ever buying from Lowes again.

I have had to put on a motion drive belt and I am still having problems with the belt staying on. I get no response from Husqvarna nor the dealer of why or anything in that nature. After trying to get my McCulloch chainsaw to continue running after 25 year
After trying to get my McCulloch chainsaw to continue running after 25 years and unable to get parts, I finally decided it was time to break down and get a new chainsaw. I was at Lowes and decided to buy the Husqvarna Model 440 as it seemed to be the best fit for my needs. Between being extremely busy and injuring my elbow, I did not get to using the chainsaw for several weeks. When I went to use the chainsaw, it would not start. I tried several times and the chainsaw would not fire up. A check of basic systems indicated it was getting gas (the plug was wet) but saw only minimal spark. I called Husqvarna expecting customer service but I was told that I would have to take it to the dealer for warranty repair. They gave me the name of a dealer with hours that are difficult for my work schedule. When I took time off from work to get to the dealer, he told me that he does not do warranty work on chainsaws purchased from Lowes. He directed me to another dealer not listed on Husqvarnas locator who does this work. They were also closed. So I still have a chainsaw that does not work, have had to take time off from work to get to the recommended dealer who does not perform this work, and spent money on gas driving around for a defective product. My expectations were: 1) Husqvarna telling me to take it back to Lowes where they would give me a new one and send the defective one back to Husqvarna; or 2) Send me return postage labels so I could send the saw back to Husqvarna (similar to Dell Computers policy). Instead I have the burden of repairing a defective product placed on the customer instead of the supplier of the defective product. Of all the items I have purchased in my life, I do not believe I have ever had such a poor buying experience. I will never buy another Husqvarna product and will warn my friends against purchasing Husqvarna products if this is their definition of customer service.

Husqvarna 700H 22 Self-Powered Mower: Just a word of warning -- in my 63 years, this is the very worst mower that I have ever used -- ever. It was also the most expensive mower Ive owned. Bought it at Lowes this spring. It has no power. The mulching component magically SUSPENDS the cut grass inside the mower housing until the blade gets choked by too much compressed grass, and the entire mower is forcibly shut off. So very frustrating. The only way to restart the mower is to dislodge the enormous amount of compressed grass -- leaving a mountain of unsightly clods on top of your yard. No, the grass doesnt need to be wet or damp for this to happen. Heaven help you if your grass *is* a tad damp. This mower (Husqvarna 700H) simply cannot handle it. Im a nice person; in fact, this is the first negative review that Ive ever written. Ive just had enough. This review is completely honest, I have not exaggerated in any way.

It was OK until the warranty expired. 2 years after spending $2900 on a zero turn mower I have NOTHING but problems with the safety switch system. I cant start the mower and have tried by passing, replacing and re-setting switches with 0 (ZERO) success. This is the biggest waste of money. Husqvarna and the dealer who sold it to me can or will not help me because its out of warranty. They wont even give me tips on how to resolve the issue. I found out from another dealer that there is a known issue with the safety switches on these trackers, even OUT OF THE BOX. If anyone can help that would be great. Husqvarna needs a recall or they need to MAJOR LAWSUIT. Safety switch systems are a JOKE anyway. Just because a few STUPID people cant safely operate a machine I have to suffer with these safety switch BS. Thats big government and corporation corruption for you.

I bought a new Husqvarna Zero turn Model RZ5426. I bought this larger scale because I have about 2 acres to mow. It has just over 4 hours on the machine. It has been in the shop more than it has been at my home. The first thing I never liked is they cut sloppy cut. I figured I could buy better blades, not a big thing. First time I was mowing this summer, I broke of a blade bracket. I ran over tree branch, not big by no means, but it broke it off in many pieces. I had that repaired and after trying it again, I broke another bracket off in less than an hour. And after talking to the Husqvarna dealer, all they said was it was a common problem. I got that back home and began using it and I noticed a lot of deck noise. After checking things out, I found a belt pulley completely worn off. I checked the others and they are all very badly worn, as well as the teeth on the blade brackets. So now, the dealer is basically rebuilding my deck I only have 4 hours on it. I have tried calling Husqvarna customer service all they do is make a report and send it to this so called Army Answer group whos supposed to handle their complaints and answer questions. I have left 3 questions with them and not one has been answered yet. Have left a bad review of the model of mower I have and that was rejected. I have not gotten any reply back from Husqvarna and am very angry with all the problems Im having. I believe its a flaw in the mover or very cheap parts. I do know that the pulleys are made out of very cheap extremely thin metal. I cant see how that would last at all. Every time I take it back, all they can do is replace the crap with the same cheap junk they had in the first place. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. If I could find stronger parts that would fit this deck, I would spend the money. All I know is Husqvarna will not stand behind this product at all. I cannot find any emails for Husqvarna. All they have is Answer Army which is a complete joke. If you have any idea what I can do, please let me know.

Have bought a Husq LT 1597 ride-on mower and for the past 2 years the cutter belt keeps running off the pulleys when the disengage lever is used. The mower shop comes, takes mower away for 3 weeks, and returns with belt in place and charges $300. This has been going on every 2nd month for 2 years. The belt when disengaged flops around and the engine pulley continues to rotate which pulls the belt up and off the rear tensioner pulley. The design here is really bad. The belt should be pulled off the engine pulley. Nope they disengage at the cutter plate. Drrrrrrrr, off the course the belt will continue to rotate as it is still in contact with the engine pulley. This is very dangerous as the cutters are meant to be disengaged but the belt is still thrashing around. Afraid this is the first and last Husq. The service sucks at $300 to put a belt on, of course this is not a warranty issue. Well it is a customer satisfaction issue.

After doing quite a bit of research, we decided to purchase a Husqvarna YTH22V46 for use at the mother-in-laws home. The unit was purchased on 4/27/14. The engine meter shows 11.4 hours of use. Yesterday, my wife called me from her mothers and said that the unit started, ran rough, then began billowing white smoke. She shut it down and called me. I went over to check out some things. Engine had fuel to the carb, spark to the plugs, correct oil level, engine compression (I checked with compression tester). It will spin over, but never so much as a cough in trying to start. Lowes didnt want to talk to me, since I was past the 30-day return limit for outdoor products. Husqvarna corporate didnt want to talk to me, just gave me the name of a Husqvarna repair facility in my area. It is actually a tool and equipment rental center. They told me to bring it in and they would look at it. I told them I only had a small car and naturally couldnt bring in a lawn tractor. The guy reluctantly said that they might be able to get it sometime next week, but would charge me $70/hour to pick it up and deliver it back. Husqvarna? You out there??... This would be a fine time for you folks to step up to the plate... not even 3 months old... only 11.4 hours on the clock... You there??????

I have always heard how great these saws were and went to Rural King and paid a big chunk of cash for a Rancher. I took it home and immediately put it to work cutting. That affair lasted almost 30 minutes. At that point a plastic piece attached to the chain brake snapped, just snapped without being dropped, etc. So I re-packed it in its fresh box and returned it to the store that same day. They tried to talk me into keeping it but I argued that at this rate it will have broken dozens of times before it even gets to the warranty expiration date. I was done with Husky--or so I thought. Last year (5 years later) I needed an affordable simple push mower for rough cutting of rough areas around my yard area. I bought a Poulan Pro and used it for almost exactly a season. At that point it was smoking to the point I had watering eyes and actually made loud rattling noises when running. My last mower was an MTD and I used that for ten seasons doing the rough mowing. 10 to 1, are you kidding? Then on this website just today, I see Poulan Pro is made by Husky. No surprises there! Finally, I tried contacting Poulan Pro and it was exasperating to the point I gave up (which is probably their intention).

I bought a Poulan Pro Lawn Mower that is made by Husqvarna and I have had problems since the first week I had it. The second time I went to cut grass, it would not stay running. So, I contacted the Badcock Furniture Store, wherein I bought it. And I was told that I was responsible for having it fixed. I let my son look at it and he tapped on side of carburetor with a screwdriver, and it left a few scratches on it. Still, he couldnt get it to run. I finally called the 800 number and was given a location where to take it. They would not work on it because they said they didnt work on items from Badcock.I was given another place and was told the same thing. I called Badcock again and was told to bring it to them and they would look at it and if they couldnt fix it, they would take it to their repair man. They could have told me that before. After a few days, I was contacted and advised that it would cost $82.00 to pick it up. First, they said it might be bad gas. Then they said it was trash in the carburetor and finally, I was told that they had to replace carburetor. If the carburetor was bad, it should have been covered by warranty. If it was changed just because it had scratches on it, I think I should have been called to see if I wanted to change it. I asked but was given the run around about why it was changed.

At one and half years old, the mower began to lose the drive belt off of the pulleys. I purchased a new belt thinking that was the problem and began to install them. During this I discovered that the two bolts holding the front of the transaxle were missing. On inspection I discovered that they had stripped the threads in the transaxle. Looking closer I found that the frame mount brackets were breaking. One of the missing bolts was found on the deck. With the mechanical experience I have after looking at the 2 bolts, they are not long enough to handle the pressure placed on them during operation. They only go into the transaxle about a 1/4 inch. I checked the cost of the repairs and it was more than I wanted to spend on this mower. I decide to attempt repairs myself and was able to make new axle mounts that i bolted to each side of the mower frame. I looked at the transaxle schematic and discovered that I could remove the 2 bolts on top and drill from the bottom of the axle out through the bolt holes on top. This allowed me to install two four inch log bolts through the axle and the frame to secure it with lock nuts. This has worked for 2 years now. I was lucky that I repaired this issue for $20.00 and my labor. Now the steering system has failed. I have had issues with the steering drag links bending and allowing the tires to spread in the front making hard to steer. I have had to straighten them every year of use. This is all poor design issues.

I have been very disappointed in the all wheel drive mower. I have a steep hill to mow and for over 25 years I have used Honda self propelled mowers without a problem pulling the hill. My Honda was in the shop and I needed a mower so I purchased the all wheel drive model - thinking it would work better on my hill. I used it three or four times and the mower stopped pulling, even on level ground. I took it back to dealer and it was repaired. Unfortunately, after it was repaired the same issue developed. The mower would not pull, even on level ground. Back to dealer for repair again. On its best day, this mower has not pulled as well as my Honda. I have two Husqvarna Rancher chainsaws and other Husqvarna products that I am very pleased with. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend an AWD all wheel drive mower. Based on other reviews, I am not the only person having issues with this model. I would hope that Husqvarna would research the issue I, and others are having, and provide a solution. I have no issue with the cranking or bagging with this unit. I do have an issue in having to push a self propelled mower on level ground.

After looking at reviews (greatest thing since sliced bread) I decided to purchase one of these (Husqvarna ST227P Snowblower), what a mistake. I have used the machine approx. 10x and have had it back to the dealership 7x. To date they have had to replace the carburetor -- machine would not keep running, replace the drive - would not go forward or backwards, belts broke second time I used it, gas lines split and leaked gas after the first season, plastic for the discharge chute controls snapped off and remember this is after only 10 uses. The dealership has had the machine more than I have. I attempted to exchange it for another machine and or have my money refunded but Husqvarna said no but they would extend the warranty for an additional 6 months and keep having it fixed until the warranty run out. In the meantime I have had to borrow a friends machine, pay to have our driveway plowed and shovel. The last time I took the machine in they had to replace the drive which took 2 months for the parts to arrive. Twice when I went to pick the machine up after being called because it was repaired I have had to leave it due to the machine breaking down when they were trying to load it on to my truck. I contacted Husqvarna who in turn contacted the dealership I purchased the machine from and were told that the gas lines leaked was due to me leaving old gas in it over the winter. Unbelievable. All of my equipment is winterized and some are 15 plus years old and have never had the gas line changed, what a joke!! It appears that Husqvarnas quality has gone and I will not be purchasing any more of their products. I currently own 2 of their chainsaws, both over ten years old and never an issue but speaking to friends who have purchase new ones they have had nothing but issues. At this point I am rooting for the greenhouse effect and we never get snow again!!! What a waste of $1698.00.

The very highest setting on my mower cuts too low. It is about 2.5 inches. Certified Service business says everything is up to spec. I have seen posts that I may need a new tire size. Husqvarna is non-responsive. Not sure where to go from here. And Yes, the tires are properly inflated.

My Husqvarna is a great mower and cuts level for a 42 inch riding mower. I would recommend this mower as it looks as good as it works for me. I had a John Deere but it did not pick up leaves and pine needles as good as the Husqvarna.

I use my lawn tractor for a multitude of tasks but it is very difficult to shift between summer and winter chores. Would be much better if it had quick releases and the process of changing mower blades could be done without high capacity lifting equipment. The mower cuts unevenly and is easily bogged down. The towing connection is made of cheap metal and is easily distorted. Lots of cheap parts and headlights burned out after just a couple of months.

We bought the weed trimmer at Lowes after comparing many brands and styles. I already owned a Husqvarna leaf blower and have been very pleased. The weed trimmer was light, quiet, and very easy to use. The string feed is a major improvement over other styles offered by other manufacturers. It only takes a light push on the ground to advance the string. It starts easily and has a lot of power for a 2 cycle. I will definitely purchase other power tools from Husqvarna in the future.

I bought my snowblower on November 20, 2014. Brought it home, did half of the driveway. Noticed that they put wrong bolts for handle, too long, next day warmed it up, seemed really loud. Then go to snow blow drive. Chute dont work. Look on garage floor find cotter pin and washer. In the meantime somehow the belt goes just spinning. Take to shop. The guy proceeds to explain only the belt. Belt was my fault, said I did not clean it properly, he proceeded to show me. Give me a break. The other problems, his worker must have been tired. I also bent the area where the shoes are. This all happened in 2 days. Not impressed. Considering I bought this blower cause its supposed to last twice as long as others. I think not. When I go back Im not paying a cent to have the belt put in. Mind you it probably wont work that way. Try to return it, well see?

Problem with blade and bolt falling off new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden Tra
Problem with blade and bolt falling off new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden Tractor, three times in the 1st year of ownership: Will Husqvarna wait until someone is seriously injured or killed by loose blade? I am angry and dissatisfied. I have contacted the corporate offices as well as the dealership and their home office with no response. On 6/2/11, I purchased a new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden Tractor from STI Turf Care in Colfax, NC. The 2nd day I used the mower with only 5 hours on it, a blade and bolt dropped from the mower. I never heard anything and had mowed a while before I saw the blade and bolt on the ground, together with bolt threads up from the center of the star hole of the blade. I mow a lot of grass and my lawn is certainly not a golf course, but was on smooth and level ground when this happened. The dealer was not going to even come and pick up the 2-day old mower with only 5 hours on it or cover under warranty. They insisted I must have hit something to shear off the bolt. I did not. After planning to return the mower for full refund, the dealer finally agreed to pick it up and make repairs. Im sure they put the same blade and bolt back on the machine. Then in October 2011 (5-month old mower with 88 hours on it), a blade fell off again and I found the bolt within one foot of the blade. Perfectly smooth and level ground once again. The dealer again flatly refused to pick up the mower and make repairs under warranty. I misplaced the bolt in my garage and they priced a new one for $10.00 (no warranty since it had to be my fault per the dealer). I went to LTD in King, NC and bought a new factory bolt for under $6.00. The local repairman I have always trusted to service three John Deere and Toro Wheelhorse (I have used on the same grounds past 15 years without ever having a blade fall off in any of them!). He made the repair, sharpened all the blades and serviced the machine. I decided after their ripoff price for the part that should be warrantied, overall poor service attitude and not standing behind their product, I would not deal with STI again. All went well until yesterday, 6/16/12, with 111.5 hours and just over one year old, the blade fell off again on perfectly smooth and level ground. As with other two times, no noise or any idea blade was off until I came around and saw it on the ground. This time, I cannot find the bolt. I am extremely aggravated and disappointed considering the price I paid for this machine. I am not abusing the tractor or subjecting it to anything or anywhere my two JD or Toro have gone before. Cutting at 2.5 to 3 and no obstacles. This problem is not from the operator; it has to be a mechanical defect. I have not marked the blades so I have no idea if it is the same blade each time. What do you suggest? I received no help from dealership.

I bought a new garden tractor/riding mower from Husqvarna via Amazon in March 2017. Within two months it would not go into reverse. I used it as is so I could care for the 10-acre garden/lawn/orchard/vineyard I maintain until the damn thing blew up, scattering parts everywhere. It was the transmission and the clutch. Under warranty. Called Husqvarna to find a local dealer for service (I live in an extremely remote area of the US) and was referred to one some miles away who refused to service my tractor because I had not bought it from him. Called Husqvarna to report this and to see what else I could do. Turns out there was a dealer in the town closest to me, which they had failed to mention first time. It sat in the shop for weeks as we waited for parts and/or argued with Husqvarna about the warranty. Finally got it back and guess what? Two months later the transmission did the same thing: No reverse and then no forward either. It has been in the shop for weeks while we wait for parts that are back ordered or whatever is the most recent excuse. In short, out of the 17 months that I have had ownership of this equipment, I have had only 4 months of full service. I have had three garden tractors over the years and never had these kinds of problems. I will never, ever buy a Husqvarna again and would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Not only is the product inferior (plastic parts in a transmission?!) but the customer service is terrible. Perhaps I have a lemon (that can happen) but I will never take a chance like this again - and it cost twice what I am accustomed to paying! In truth, Id just like my money back so I can buy something that performs. And I have any number of witnesses to this so Husqvarna cannot dispute my claims.

We have had nothing but trouble with the front axle on our Husqvarna lawn tractor. The dealer we purchased it from wont do anything because Husqvarna wont do anything. Husqvarna keeps saying it is something weve done, not their product. They said they had never had any other complaints. Definitely not true, complaints are everywhere about them.

We bought a $3,000.00 Husqvarna mower (used only for mowing). It was used 2.5 seasons and the frame broke on the rear end. I took it in and was told by the repair shop that it is a known defect, and Husqvarna makes a kit to repair it. Husqvarna made me pay half the labor costs! I called the company 2 months ago to complain that its not right to charge people on a factory defect. The guy said he would pass it on. I have never heard another word. My loss is minimal (as its not the money, but the principle). However, their loss will be huge. We have a large family and many church friends. They will no longer do business with Husqvarna. When you are a farmer and all your friends are farmers, that can be a lot of loss. I hope the amount listed below was worth it to them!

Purchased new mower (46 riding mower) less than 2 months ago from Lowes. I love many things about the mower mostly the pep getting up hills and the light weight that I can easily get unstuck from around my pond by myself but my love affair ends there. With the light weight comes the cheap quality of components. Mind you I replaced a John Deere mower that was about 10 years old and only had problems with battery. So far this mower has busted the housing that holds the deck and blade together. It is very poor quality, cheap metal that busted off at bolts. Talked to Lowes and they said it would cost me to get the mower to a repair center and I would be without it some time while they repaired it. I couldnt afford to be without a mower so I replaced the part myself. Shortly after the bolts fell out and deck again failed, ordered new bolts and replaced. Next is the belt keeps falling off and it wont go into reverse without fighting with cheap, plastic foot pedal that bends when you try to press it with your foot. It locks up in either forward or when you finally get it into reverse locks there as well. The quality of the parts used is the worst ever. Who would expect a flimsy piece of plastic to last very long as a foot pedal? So I am a single parent and this was a major investment for me, and now I am forced to be a mechanic because I cant afford to be without a mower. I wish in hindsight I would have gone with the JD but it was heavier and it was important that I be able to lift the mower out of the mud myself when I got stuck.

I bought a new Husqvarna riding mower from a local dealer. Ever since the purchase, I have had nothing but issues with the mower. The mower would stop turning over and so I took it back to the local dealer who fixed it. I typically get one mow out of it, and when I go to use it again, the same problem again. Brand new $3,000 mower and I am taking it to the repair shop every week! It is the carburetor. We have done everything to try and fix this horrible product and nothing works. We finally bought a good mower, a John Deere, and now we are stuck with a $3,000 mistake! It seems like this is an ongoing product issue with multiple consumers. I, too, would like my money back or a new mower that works.

I was informed by Husqvarna district rep. (via dealer) 5-21013, that reason for delayed shipment on my (ordered) GT54LS tractor is that the engine component for the unit is unavailable. What? Did Husqvarna grind such a deal with Briggs and Stratton on these motors? That B&S cant (or wont) honor its commitment or were they closeouts to begin with? I have never, in 60 years of life, heard of anything like this! Is Husqy going to discontinue the model, update it with substitution engine and reintroduce in the fall (2014 MY)? And are they going to (be able to) support those already out-there? More convinced than ever that Ive made an error in judgment.
