I contacted Nissan customer care. I currently own a 2013 Xterra Pro4x with 66,000 miles. I have driven manuals for 30 years. First clutch burned out 35,400. Second clutch was looked at in a dealership service at 63,000 miles. Was told clutch looked perfect, drove perfect. Had a smell coming from the clutch. 3,000 miles later driving at 60 mph in 5th gear, the clutch blew up. Sounded like an explosion followed by sounds of metal fragments rolling around inside. Nissan required a dealership to look at it. Their conclusion is the driver error caused the clutch failure.Ive never had to replace a clutch before 90/100k. Ive heard from other with the Xterra and Frontiers of this exact same problem happening. Now Im hearing if the transmissions going out at 76,000 miles. They are wanting $2700 to replace a clutch that is sure to fail again. Something is causing these clutches and transmissions to fail. So many mechanics and friends are telling me to get rid of the car ASAP. Lesson learned do not buy Nissan. Nissan does not stand behind their product.

I bought my new Nissan in 2007, and has no problem until now with my CVT transmission @ 121.800 miles. I was concerned because I was over the extended warranty of 120,000 miles. I contacted Nissan affairs and open a case with them explaining my hardship of repairing the transmission of $4,300 stated from one of Nissan advisors. I was asked to provide the name of the advisor, location of the dealership, and the amount quoted. And within 24 hours, I would be contacted regarding a decision of if they can or cant help with this matter.Glory be to GOD. I received a call in 24 hours from the same advisor that quoted me the $4,300 dollar a day before stating Nissan will take care of the cost of my transmission which has 0 miles and I would only have to pay the labor cost and I also receive a warranty... I believe Jesus touched somebodys heart at Nissan Consumer and I thank JESUS for it. The labor cost is between $1,000 - 1,500 dollars but Im trusting that it will be fair. Im encouraging anyone that is having a difficult time with the repair of their car to Contact Consumer Affairs and see how they may be able to help them...

I purchased my 2017 Nissan Murano on 2/27/17 from Frank Fletcher Nissan, Joplin MO. Prior to 5/8/18 (I do not have this date or who I spoke with at Fletchers) but I stated to them when my husband drove the car and placed his arm leaning on the center console the drivers seat would rub against the console causing this annoying squeaking that was continuous until he changed positions. I was asked if my husband was a bigger man and I said yes 63 230 lbs but what does that have to do with it? He stated they have had several complaints about this and all the men were larger. I said that is no reason for the seat to squeak! We had other vehicles & not ever had this issue. So on 5/8/18 I took my car in and the service dept said they could and I agreed to let them install washers to tilt seat slightly and prevent rubbing. This seemed to work briefly but then it started again. Nothing like before but still it should not be happening. So I went back again to report it. This is my 1st brand new car and this should not be the way it is & I have never had a car that had this issue and I am sure I could have bought any other car & not had this issue. So I said if you cant fix it who should I speak with that might be able to assist me and at that time he gave me the 1-800-nissan-1 #. On 6/6/18 I contacted the 800 Nissan consumer affairs and the person I spoke with said they will send case to regional consumer affairs specialist to get in contact with dealer and investigate giving me a case # ** from agent #**. on 6/8/18 I spoke with regional affairs rep and he had authorized technical resource to talk with Fletchers and that my car was under warranty so call and make an appointment to take my car in. 6/8/18 I called Fletcher for an appt. They said they will need my car 1/2 day but he will get ahold of Regional consumer affairs and find out how to get set up with tech. 6/11/18 Fletchers called. Will get tech line assistance with them to get help on resolving problem. Appt set for Wed, 6/20/18, 10 a.m. 6/20/18 took car to Fletcher Nissan Joplin, MO. Service manager said will contact tech line and see what they can do. He came back to get me in just a short amount of time and said I could take car and he would call me to bring it back in once tech line calls them back to let him know how to resolve. On 6/29/18 I receive a call from Fletchers customer service dept asking if my problem was resolved to my satisfaction and I said no and explained I was still waiting to hear back from service dept at which time she transferred me over to the head of the service dept. The man said he had spoke with tech line and they were not to modify seat or replace it. He was told it is a characteristic of this vehicle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! At which time I told him I would NEVER purchase another Nissan again and it is a shame because my sister bought one just like mine because I liked mine so much until this and now they will never buy another Nissan either. I called 800 Nissan back and spoke with agent #** and asked for a supervisor. He said he will have a supervisor call me back no later than tomorrow. He did have me explain to him my issue so it could be noted prior to supervisor calling me back. 7/12/18 a supervisor called, left a message on my phone and said the dealership provided me with correct information. The vehicle is operating as designed and it is a normal characteristic. They will follow up with me tomorrow to make sure I received this message.7/16/18 Sammie called and I was not where I could talk so told her I would call her back Tuesday at 10 a.m. She gave me her direct #. 7/17/18 Sammie called me back at 9:40 a.m. Said all she could do was restate what I had been told which was it is a characteristic of this vehicle. I said I knew of other people per Fletcher dealership in Joplin that are having this same problem but I also know it is not every car since my sister bought the same vehicle due to my recommendation and hers does not do this so how can you consider this a characteristic. She once again said it is a characteristic of this vehicle. Call was ended! Case # ** 7/17/18 I called Sammie back. Left message to call me back - no return call. 7/18/18 called her again leaving another message with my # to please return my call and to this day still have not received a return call.

In March of 2012, I purchased a new 2012 Nissan Versa sedan. I paid cash for it. In September 2012, I struck a deer while driving. My insurance company and body shop determined just over $7,000 in damage, not totaling the car. Within two weeks, the body shop had completed all repairs except replacing the backseat, which had been ordered from Nissan shortly after the accident. The body shop and I have been in constant contact with Nissan trying to get an estimated date of arrival on the seat. Nissan has no information except that the seat has been ordered. It has now been almost 8 weeks that I have been without my vehicle. The insurance only covered the expense of a rental car for 30 days. I was told by Nissan to contact Consumer Affairs regarding this matter.

I took my 2013 rogue for brake shoes, check and told the service advisor that when the car is stopped at a stop sign or signal lights, the car makes a noise like the motor is falling apart. He stated he would check it. Next day he told me brake shoes are OK and that noise is normal. He said the brake shoes needed cleaning but would continue to make that noise. The strange noise that I also was concerned about, he stated it was from having the air on and the gas needs to idle more to keep it running. He said both noises are normal and it will always do that. I am disgusted and so I am trying to trade the car in. First Nissan car that I am not happy with!

Nissan lied to us about the extended service plan. Parts that were listed on the pamphlet they used to sell on the extended service plan were not actually covered under the plan. We have called Nissan Consumer Affairs, they dont care. Some of their representatives tell us the parts are covered, others tell us they arent. One of their representatives told me he would accept that listed parts arent covered, pay for them, and move on. That is what I suggest every Nissan owner should do. Move on to another car maker. Until you can get rid of your Nissan be honest when people ask if you would buy another, tell them no. Tell people you are not happy with Nissan. Explain and give examples to people of what Nissan does wrong. If Nissan wont listen, we must get everyone else to listen to us. Dont buy a Nissan.

Still trying to pursue a Lawsuit over a negative life-changing experience which cost me negative and fraudulent credit reporting by NMAC of which I did end up homeless, (my line of work depended heavily on a near perfect credit report) for which NMAC finance/accounting department exercise Corporate Greed to the Max!NMAC lacks Leadership in their Accounting Department. Will accept Fraudulent paperwork that High School Graduates with ZERO accounting background, are the financier within Nissan Dealership cross country. The Nissan Dealership Mission is to prey on the Independent Purchaser; check / run credit background, even at a great Credit Score Rating, will state Zero% interest, yet Contract at 4.99% interest... Gross financial administrative error! Then, they will overinflate car cost. (Bait & Switch rule) Targeting and profiling minorities. (**s, Hispanic and Single Women purchasers.)Truth is, the dealership gains!!! The NMAC financial service gains, the State DMV gains, and the infrastructure within the county gains at the expense of the Consumer! As a whole, Nissan Capitalizes on good citizens absent of Financial Accountability by accepting fraudulent contracts by their own dealership!! This action would never hold merit in US Banking or Security grounded financial institutions. The Dealership will sell maintenance issue Vehicles under the pretense that car is without flaws. While the very own Consumer Protection Lawyer in that particular district eats lunch with the local Lawyer who represents Nissan Dealerships and NMAC! Even the Lemon Law doesnt hold up in Court, to include Consumer lawyers must be paid heavily as a kick-back bonus to steer clear of Lawsuits targeting Nissan. Similar to pharmaceutical Corporations and malpractice suits with cross-contamination probable issues! Those Consumers lack legal representation as a whole! Still hoping to get involved with a Class Action Consumer Violation on a Federal Scale! Oh, did I mention its a Japanese Corporation; manufacturing in Tennessee... NMAC Financial Department lacks Leadership, fails to correct issues and prey on U.S. Citizens as a whole! Now, lets talk about tariff issues of an overseas corporate business dealing in the USA. The last I saw, the Yen is stronger than the dollar and we continue to be screwed one way or another...THINK ABOUT THAT, before you buy Asian based Products. For the love of MONEY!

Shame on Nissan! I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated. My steering lock control unit went out and even though there was a petition to get this part recalled I had to pay for the part. It was past the warranty, but I was told that if I took my car to a dealership, I would get a fair review of my case by Megan, the regional consumer affairs specialist, in hopes of warranty assistance. She denied my claim in part because my 2009 Altima had not been to a dealership since 2011, implying that I was not a loyal customer. Why would I take my car to a dealership if there isnt any repairs that need to be done on it? I have owned FIVE , Nissans and bought 1 brand new car and 1 used car from Suntrup, not to mention personal recommendations. I have paid Nissan upwards of $40,000. If that isnt customer loyalty I dont know what is. Complaints have filed with the BBB, FTC, and NHTSA.

Service Department issues-- NEVER AGAIN! My 2008 Rogue showed some weird transmission issues on a trip to Virginia on 4 occasions. After some research we learned about a CVT issue with the Nissan transmissions in these autos. Called our service department to report the issue and they took us right away. They acknowledged the transmission issue and related the steps that should be taken 1) schedule and service the transmission 2) a add-on cooler product 3) new transmission. Nissan, as an aside, has increased the warranty on these transmissions from 60,000 to 120,000 miles, acknowledging the issue.I called Nissans consumer affairs department to report the issue and to see if I was a candidate to replace my transmission. My car is used on long journeys often and this CVT issue only happens when the transmission has heated up because of a long journey - 200-300 miles. Once its cooled down, it corrects itself; however, when it happens, one loses all transmission power and acceleration ability. I also wanted Nissan consumer affairs to understand that we use this vehicle on Rt. 95 and we could be killed if we cannot get our car to accelerate.I spoke with 2 different reps who were empathetic, then my last encounter was with someone very rude. It was then I asked for a manager to call and she did. She was pleasant and understanding. I outlined my concern and she and I agreed that if there were any symptoms of the issue again, I would call her immediately and we would address it then. I was satisfied at this juncture and felt comfortable with our agreement. I then received a customer satisfaction survey from Nissan about my service experience. While the team at Hawthorne Nissans service department was nice and helpful, I didnt give Nissan a good customer satisfaction survey because I wasnt satisfied with my vehicles issue. The survey prompted a call from the service director who was concerned about his service departments score and wanted to do a deeper dive on my vehicle problem. I told him at the present time there werent any issues. He said he wanted to replicate the drive so they could experience the problem by taking my car for the weekend and giving it to the errand person and then having the service manager drive it home which is about an hour from the service center. I advised that this short driving would NEVER replicate the issue.Nevertheless, I was agreed and dropped my car off with the understanding that I would need a loaner vehicle. They hesitated but agreed. I stopped after work and picked up the loaner which had just over a quarter of a tank of gas and was given strict instructions that I must return it with exactly the same amount of gas. Ok. Then as I sat in the drivers seat they said, oh by the way, the passengers side door doesnt work.I took the loaner and parked it in my driveway. It was of no use to me without an operating passenger door. This is when my husband got involved. First thing Monday I called about my car and was told they couldnt find anything which I knew would be the case. I told them Id be in to get it. This was after my husband called and addressed the broken SERVICE department loaner issue with the director who seemed nonplussed about the entire situation. The story gets better because my car tire light was on when I got into my car. Remember the Service manager drove my car and I was appalled that he couldnt put a tire gauge on it and see if it needed air. What kind of service is that? Oh, and I had to throw away the lunch garbage that someone left in my vehicle too. Last, I learned that my car had been sitting in the service department parking lot the entire weekend. We did call back consumer affairs and reported the incident. My husband did re-engage with the service director who basically blew him off with an Oh well. This was after he told him never again would we service our car with Nissan or buy another Nissan vehicle. I pray that this transmission issue doesnt arise again and we arent killed on the highway. Im hoping to be rid of this car before anything else happens.

I have received one statement in the 5 months I have now had the car. I have not received one email, correspondence, or phone call from these people. I was not late in January for a payment and they lied and reported to the credit bureaus that I never made a payment in January when I paid $465 on 1/10/13. And then on 2/1/13, I made another payment which was supposed to be on 1/31/13 and then 2 payments in February as well on 2/23/13. They suck as a car manufacturer and as a lien holder. There was a reason that I had never purchased a car from them after 10 years ago and now I know why. I had leased a car with them for 7 months and got rid of it and now, after 5 months, I am ready to get rid of this car too. The fact is that it is a piece of crap and so is the company. They suck and they need to fix their error on my credit report as because of their screw up, my credit score dropped 40 points and now I will lose the new home I am buying.

Purchased a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum brand new. Has 24K miles on it and all 4 tires are bald. My wife has hydroplaned with our 16 month old and our 4 month old in the car and almost crashed. We had to stop driving it. At first we thought that Bridgestone would be responsible but after talking to them we found that they do not offer a tire warranty on OEM tires. This is because the manufacturer, Nissan in this case, sets the specifications by which the tire is to be made. They spec soft rubber on OEM tires in order to get a softer ride and better gas mileage etc. So they are made by the tire manufacturer but to the specs that Nissan sets. In these types of agreements between car manufacturers and tire manufacturers the tire company offers no warranty on the tires because they know the rubber specs that car manufacturers set is inferior. Nissan buys poor quality tires with a name brand on them at dirt cheap prices, put them on all their cars and neither company takes any responsibility for the poor product. We have talked with Nissan consumer affairs until we are blue in the face and they will not lift a finger to help. They did not even offer to try to help us work with Bridgestone or our dealership to get a discount on new tires. They have literally offered no kind of help at all. Nissan designed the rubber compound, Nissan put them on their cars and passed them off as high quality, and Nissan should stand behind everything they put on their cars. Especially when they are directly responsible for the design and performance. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM NISSAN!

About 2 months ago, when leaving work one morning, my dash lit up - ABS failed, slip, TCS and service engine. I shut the car off and restarted (it was 2AM, no one to call), same lights, but I had to drive home for about 18 miles. The brakes work. I called service the next morning and took the car in to be checked. The ABS module had failed. The dealer has been unable to get the ABS module to repair my car, the way this system was designed. The failed module was drawing power from the battery all the time so I had to disconnect and reconnect the battery every time to drive and park, to avoid having a dead battery (I work for a 5-star resort in transportation. Meaning, we provide service 24/7 to our members and guest). The solution was to disconnect the module from the battery. Now, not only do I not have ABS, no speedometer or cruise control, this is now a matter of safety and not just the convenience of having the vehicle I purchased. The dealer was unable to get the delivery info for replacement.

Nissanconnect services is a joke. Its so difficult to understand what level and what options your vehicle has that the dealership doesnt even know. Nissan navigation is nothing short of pathetic. Its a very painful process to navigate to anywhere!! You cant even enter your home address unless its already in whatever ancient database Nissan is using. Nissan should completely abandon this system and work toward making Android Auto/Apple Carplay work wirelessly. For that matter all vehicle manufacturers should do the same.

I leased a brand new 2017.5 Nissan Rogue SV AWD Premium Package in July 2017. My vehicle traded was a 2015 Rogue (same model) I had hit my mileage on a year early. Not only was I pleased with my 15, but I spent 2 years as a Nissan employee, and I retain the Nissan Visa card. I would say Im a pretty good customer and supporter. In 6 months and 7k (now 8k) miles, my Rogue has had the radio/navigation system fully replaced! My Rogue has also been TOWED into the dealerships service department! I work nights. It was Christmas Eve. The car never made it to work. Of course, 3 days later after the holiday, the Rogue worked fine and the mechanics could not duplicate the issue. A diagnostic test showed a possible air flow problem... which I read about in another review... but they really have no idea. I am a single mom, on a check-check basis, and one reason I lease is to avoid maintenance! I cry all the time in my car. I am frustrated. Every time I start the Rogue I wonder what will happen next. I have lost confidence in this vehicle. I filed a claim with Consumer Affairs. I have received 2 emails from the gal stating she has tried to reach me multiple times by phone but I have no missed calls, voicemails, nothing, and the number(s) is saved in my phone. I have responded to these emails but then have not heard back from her. In the last week, I have called her DIRECT line 5x leaving my contact phone number 2x every message. I have gotten voicemail each time. Since December 26, 2017 I have called Nissan Consumer Affairs 8x. I should not have to be dealing with this regarding a vehicle purchased brand new not 7 months ago. Certain staff members at the dealership have been as helpful as they possibly can be but they have limitations which I understand. At least theyre on my side. Nissan seems to think this entire issue is a game. Its not. I live in Columbus, Ohio. We do not have major public transport opportunities. I cannot afford a chauffeur, I cannot afford taxi cabs or Uber. Nissan needs to step up.

Bought Rogue in April of 2011. It is a 2011 model. Car was BRAND NEW! Approx. 8-12 months later, noticed transmission making high-pitched whining sound. Call Nissan, Norwich, CT where I had purchased vehicle. Was told that the noise was normal for the CVT transmission. So I didnt worry about it after that. Finally in May of 2014, I really thought the transmission wasnt right. I brought it in and paid Norwich Nissan 116.00 diagnostic fee. Was given invoice/statement saying that the transmission had been checked and that no problems were found and that no service needed. Then in November, my transmission suddenly stopped working, and I barely made it home. I was furious! I took it to a local trusted mechanic and he told me the transmission was shot and had been going for a long time! I contacted Nissan Corporate Consumer Affairs and it took over a month of phone calls back and forth for them to finally tell me that that would claim no responsibility because the car was too far out of warranty (82,000 miles). When I first asked Nissan about the car, it probably only had about 24,000 on it. Then in May when they checked the transmission, it had 70,000 miles. I did some research and found several other customers whose transmission had died around 70 - 72,000 miles just like mine. DON’T TRUST NISSAN......VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IF THEY KNOW YOURE RIGHT! I will continue to seek legal action against this company. In the meantime, Ive bought a Mazda, so far very happy with. Am in the process of trying to sell my 30,000 dollar Rogue (now worth about $6,000 without a transmission!).

I bought my Nissan Titan in 2017 with 100,000 bumper to warranty. Took it to Universal Nissan for my regular service 35,000 miles, and let them know we have moisture inside the headlight. They said they contact Nissan and the headlight was on order on 1/13/22. Called the Dealer and they said the headlight came in early March. Vehicle check in 3/16/22, called 4hrs later to check on the status, service advisor stated it should be ready in an one hour. In 30 minutes he called back stated that the headlight replacement was denied Nissan. They could not provide any paperwork why it is declined. They gave a case number that did not exist when I called Nissan Consumer Affairs. They finally called back 4/1/2022 stating the dealer denied the coverage not Nissan. The rep from Consumer Affairs stated that they will send a letter stating why it was denied. I bought 3 Nissans, never again.

Nissan vehicles have extensive issues that require multiple services and repairs. I have spent over $6,000 in service and repairs from the last 12 months alone and Nissan keeps giving an excuses as to why this and that is not covered. Nissan Consumer Affairs said I should have an unlimited service repair but may or may not cover anymore engine issues. Im still within the ten year/100,000 miles engine warranty and yet providing more excuses to cover cost. Im trying to get Nissan to actually repair something in the engine that prevents the vehicle from being driven, but they are getting behind to complete any repairs with a thousand dollars or more. All of this has been a battle to get anything covered or paid for. All I want is for Nissan to actually cover their faulting vehicle.

At 113,000 needed new transmission. After 18,000 heard same high whining noise after driving for 30 minutes. Said was transmission - gave me a new one. Its been 5,000 miles - same thing - and now say I need a transmission cooler kit which isnt covered under my transmission warranty. Will cost $1800. My question is how come when I got 2 new transmissions, the noise went away. If this was the original noise, how come it goes away after new transmission? The dealer and corp cant answer that. I believe wrong diagnosis and it is the transmission. I wont add $1800 to a used car without knowing thats the problem for sure. It may be the problem. Like I said every time I got a new transmission, it never made any noise. Only later after certain miles put on it. I will never buy a Nissan again and my family who owns will not either.

I purchased my new Nissan in 2001. I bought it outright from a dealer in NJ. I have had several major problems with this truck since I purchased it. The first was the gas tank rusting and emitting fumes in the cab. Every time I filled the tank the smell was terrible inside and outside the cab. I contacted Nissan several times and they refuse to do anything at all. This cost over a $1000.00 dollars. A year later my oil pan rusted badly and was ready to fail and I had that replaced. That cost $900.00. My electric blue paint started peeling on the side of the truck for no reason at all and continues peeling. If I choose to have it repainted that will probably be $2000.00. I wont ever purchase another Nissan and I encourage anyone who is thinking of buying one, DONT!! You will be very disappointed. They dont care about their product or customer service. In two words, they suck!!!

I received a call today from a collection agency claiming that I owe $614.20 due to charges for excessive wear and tear on a Nissan that I returned 9 months ago. Mind you, the Maxima that I returned was in mint condition and I leased another Nissan, this time an Altima. I called NMAC today and they claim to have sent me a statement which I never received. That statement was allegedly sent 4 weeks after I returned one vehicle to lease another. The only other correspondence that was made regarding these fraudulent charges was 8 months later from a collection agency!!!! I spoke with about 6 different representatives from NMAC today and received so many contradictory pieces of information. Id like to point out that when the finance manager mistakenly set up my automatic payments for 20 months on my original Nissan for a 36-month lease and the automatic payment ran out, NMAC was quick to call when they didnt receive their payment. I was told today that I wasnt contacted about the most recent charge because it was end of term and NMAC doesnt bother, we just send out one bill and then turn it over to collections.... Really???? This is how they treat current customers? Had I gotten some correspondence and been made aware that I was being unfairly charged for excessive wear and tear attributed to scratches on the rims, I would have at least had some method of recourse. I cannot wait until I make my twelfth payment on this Altima so that I can hopefully buy myself out of this Altima and sever all ties with Nissan and NMAC. This has been the single worst customer service experience of my life!!!! Cant wait to tell Nissan to shove it!!!!!

Been taking my Nissan 07 Pathfinder with 47,000 miles to the dealership for maintenance since I leased then bought it. Over two to three years Ive been reporting a sound coming from the car as I accelerated up to 25 then again at 40 mph. This problem was never resolved because it came and went and it almost never surfaced when I would bring the car in for maintenance. They would tell me its the heat shields and tighten them but the noise would return. I had scheduled a 45,000 mile maintenance and on the way to the dealership my engine began to rumble then the service engine light came on where. I was told by the adviser that a coil and a platinum spark plug needed to be replaced to fix the engine misfire. I was given a loaner and they worked on my car for two days. I got my car back and everything seemed fine, the engine light was off, car was smooth. A little more than a week later after I dropped off my wife at work, the engine started to act up and rumble and engine light came on again. I was not far from the dealership so I decided take it in. All of a sudden, halfway to the dealership, I cannot drive past 25 mph and the car starts to make the noise its been making when I accelerated to 25 and 40 mph, the same noise Ive been complaining about for about 3 yrs and now its amplified. I told the service adviser about the incident and told it could possibly be the catalytic converter which is covered under warranty until 2015 by federal emissions law so it would be no cost to me to be replaced. I needed to go to work so again I was given a loaner and the job took two days. I received a call from Nissan and was told that the catalytic was very clogged and parts broke off damaging the engine and it was going to cost $6,600 or more to rebuild or replace the engine. My warranty inconveniently expired three months ago. How can this happen to a car with low miles and with an excellent maintenance record? Shouldnt Nissan be responsible?

For the last two years 2014 and 2015 and now into 2016, Nissan has changed - but did they make the change as a user friendly for customers - Hell No times 2. The upper management of Nissan must be a bunch of Bone heads or knuckle heads - your choice but - its one of these two for sure. I have called their CS number multiply times at different times of the day and week to talk to a live person and stay on the phone for up to 2 hrs and no one has ever answer the call. I know I am the bone head for waiting this time endurance but I wanted to find out if anyone would answer. They have made changes to their website over the last two years and it has got worst as whoever they hired to do this changes. It does not work. I should have been discussing the problems to a red brick wall and would have gotten more response from the bone heads at Nissan.

I believe the problem starts with Nissan in the first place. I honestly think that they feel they are too big for their britches. It is my opinion that the local Nissan trained dealership really doesnt care about the customer and refused to address issues that popped up in my particular case. To ignore the problem from my impression is to get rid of the customer. After dealing with them for 9 solid years they display a total lack of Customer Care. I think they only want the rich customers and if you are at the Altima level... Dont bother us!!! My immediate solution is to go directly... and test drive a KIA where the dealership treats you like a valued client and provides a Superior, Efficient and Reliable mode of transport.

My husband and I bought a Nissan Rogue in California a couple years ago. It started having what we thought was transmission issues at about 95,000 miles. We immediately took it to the shop to be evaluated. They said there was nothing wrong. I continued to drive it and kept having problems. We took it in several times and every time they said there was nothing wrong. A few months ago we moved to Tennessee and drove our Nissan. We were in the middle of nowhere and suddenly my car stopped shifting. It was stuck in a high gear. We were finally able to make it to Tennessee to a Nissan dealership in Cookeville. We had an appointment for 8am. I took the day of so we could drop it off and came back to pick it up later in the evening. When we got there they were not friendly and clueless as to what was going on and where our keys were. Finally they figured out that nobody even looked at our car. They didnt apologize, take ownership of their mistake or offer us a discount! I had to take the next day off again to be able to go back and pick it up when they were done. They finally called and informed us that the transmission needed to be replaced. The reason my husband and I are so upset with Nissan is because we were then informed that the transmission had a warranty until 120,000 miles and we were actively trying to get it fixed since about 95,000 miles because we could tell it was going out! We have contacted Nissan to inform them of our experience and they dont seem to really care about their customers. The Nissan of Cookeville website states that their commitment is to provide their customers with top notch customer service but that is not near what we received!

I have a 2012 Nissan Juke. There is an issue with my driver side door lock being frozen and unable to get keyless entry into my vehicle. Im sure this issue isnt the worst issue I can have, but its very frustrating that they cant do anything about it even though there are recalls on this vehicle for the exact same reason. I called Nissan Corporate and because my vin and part numbers are not on their recall list, there is nothing they can do. Obviously if Im having the exact same issue as all the recalled cars have, its definitely a more widespread issue than they think. I will never buy another Nissan again. Worst customer service ever.

Hey guys. This review is to let the world know out there of how unfair Nissan company is. I have been a loyal customer of Nissan for more than 6 years now. I own a Nissan Rogue 2012 with no more than 30k miles on it. My transmission happened to fail 2 weeks ago and the Nissan dealership wants to charge me $4400 to replace the transmission. They WILL NOT COVERED this knowing that I still have my original warranty on transmission work. DEALER says transmission got hit by something and that is why is not cover. We did not hit anything at car broke that while driving in highway. Really unfair, unacceptable. Ill not recommend NISSAN to anyone. They are thieves..

I bought my Titan new and had the usual rotor problem and the rear axle end seals blowing out. Nissan fixes the rotor issue without problems. The axle end seal happened at 76,000 miles, just 1,000 miles out of warranty but after many complaints to corporate, they agreed to pay half. This fix lasted about 4,000 miles, Instead of repeating the repair, I chose to use a thicker viscosity rear end lube from Lucas. I also had to replace the radiator but that is common on all vehicles now that radiators are plastic. If you’re wondering why I give this truck 4 stars, I almost gave it 5 stars, this truck had 355,000 miles on it when I traded it in 2013. Those issues listed above are the only problems I had with this truck and it still ran like a new truck when I traded. The engine and transmission were beasts. I attribute the performance of this Titan to changing my oil every 20 to 25,000 miles with Amsoil and Ea filters. I would have bought another Titan at trade but needed better mpg. Traded for a Ram 1500 4wd and it now has 270,000 using Amsoil.

I actually want to give you guys no stars! I went into Stadium Nissan in the city of Orange, California to buy my first car. I am a hardworking teenager who works 13-14 hours a day, lives on a month to month rent by myself because I have no parents. I also had to forfeit my scholarship to college because I had to make ends meet by myself. So as you can see, my daily hours are very important. I took off of work and was scheduled for my appointment for a consultation four days ago. My sales representative had me waiting in the sales office for nine hours. This did not bother me at first because I did get my car at the end of the day. One of the floor managers, Remi, also helped me that day. He said that the bank approved my loan and that I was good to go on a $1,300 downpayment and a $345 monthly on a 2010 used Hyundai Elantra. I paid an insurance fee of $300! So I signed all the papers and I now currently own the car. That same day I drove off with the car, the tire pressure light was on! They didnt even service the car right! My sales rep told me to come back the next day to get that taken care of. So I went the next day and they had me waiting for another four hours just to check one tire! I was late to work again because of this! Then two days later (today), I got a call from Remi and he told me that the bank simply changed their mind and that I needed to bring the car back. I dont have time for these games! Technically, I own this car since that day.

We bought a brand new Nissan Sentra 2013, have had problems with it and has been in to be repaired and told every time that that is normal. Problem 1: had rattling in dashboard. Told several times that is normal. Transmission doesnt always shift until you are 2 plus miles in, that is normal. Area around the door, that is normal (this is brand new car). The passenger seat belt will lock and you cannot move, have to unclasp and let it go all the way back and start fresh, that is normal. This doesnt happen every day. But come on, new and all this. We have been battling with this issue for over a year. Will not buy or tell anyone Nissan is anything but a high-risk car. We are senior citizens and cannot afford costly repairs, thus reason we bought NEW. Now trying to pay off and get Toyota, Honda, anything but NISSAN. Any Nissan dealership that has been in business since 2013 knowingly participated in consumer fraud with corporate guidance. They knowingly sold defective vehicles that put the consumers safety in jeopardy and our court system gave them a slap on the wrist. The class action lawsuit attorneys make bank and the consumers were stuck with the aftermath. At first Nissan claimed that a computer program upgrade would fix the issue and they knew it would not. They string you along stating that they are working on a fix, but it never came while I was under their warranty. They say they have a fix now but they want me to pay for half of it because I am just out of warranty. They never told me about the fix while I was in warranty. The fix is only as good as their word and their word has no value. What are they hiding currently? You will not know until it is too late. The whole lot of them are fraudsters that can not be trusted. Buy a Nissan of any make at your own peril. As Americans we should unite and stand outside of every Nissan dealer in America on as often as possible but especially on Saturdays until they go out of business in America. That is about the only recourse we have for these lawbreakers that our Government is allowing to stay in business in this country. Now you cannot say that you have not been warned.

$5 fee to pay online? $10 over the phone? Theres no fee to mail a check, so thats what I did instead and I shouldve guessed, they never received it and explained that to me the day after payment was due. How convenient. Now, I have a $25 late fee + a $5 fee to pay it online. Way to go, Nissan. Chalk that one up as a $30 win. Thirty seven lease months from now, you will have forever lost a 28-year-old potential customer for life. The issue did not just end with me buying a car and in less than a month had to bring it back two times but the service I receive from Jose have ruined my chances of giving them another try. And when asked his manager to call he never did. Humberto **. Be careful buying from there. The cars have issue, they charge. They may want to charge you for their inspection they did before selling car, ask for that money back because the cars are taken not to Nissan if it is not a Nissan car, some to Jiffy Lube for oil change etc. The cars are not checked out properly and the only good person that helped was ERiC, the sales manager Humberto ** will not follow through. Be very careful. Buy at your own risk and ask questions on the wear and tear, get the car facts beforehand. It is not always driven by one driver. They use cars on lot as loaner cars.

Nissan Rouge - Steering wheel vibration that started 7 months after purchase. The steering wheel vibration has gone from mild to moderate/heavy in the last month. Changing to sport mode or turning off the overdrive helps a lot, and even sometimes stops the vibration for a while even after returning to the default driving mode. The vibration can be felt most of the time while accelerating but is worse at and above 35 mph while maintaining a steady speed. However I have noted the vibration to be moderate/heavy at all speeds. At times when driving a distance, the vibration will actually make your hands go numb and can also be felt in the gas pedal. My other concern is on two separate occasions while accelerating to enter the interstate while in sport mode, the vehicle hung in a lower gear until the RPM was extremely high and when I let off the gas it was almost like putting the brakes on as the vehicle slowed to the speed of the gear its stuck in, creating a very dangerous situation in traffic. Nissan refuses to acknowledge the problem and service people say They all do that.

I have a brand new Nissan Rogue. I live in Colorado and sometimes have to park under trees during the day for work. Other than that, the vehicle is kept in a garage and is washed frequently as I use the car to pick up business clients at the airport sometimes and want a good professional impression. Last week during a few days that seemed like spring here, a group of robins in a tree above my car managed to use my car for target practice. When I got in the car at about 6:00 p.m., I noticed the droppings and took it to a professional car wash the next morning at 8:00 a.m. on my way to work; only the droppings didnt wash off. The bird droppings damaged the seal coat and now I have dull smears all over my shiny new car. We hand washed, tried wax, took it to an auto body shop for their advice and then to the Nissan car dealer we bought it from. They said that they had seen this before from bird droppings and the only way to get it right was to repaint. This is a $27K car. Seriously, I cant drive anywhere where birds exist from now on or I need a new paint job? So here is where we are. Even if they do manage to fix the spots that exist on the car now, throughout ownership of this car, I will have to protect it constantly or expect to drastically reduce value every time a bird flies over! This is ridiculous to expect that paint on a vehicle can get totally ruined within 24 hours by bird droppings. Needless to say, this has and will greatly reduce the value of the vehicle. I am going to file an official complaint with Nissan and if they do not give any results, I will pursue this all the way up the ladder. Anyone else having this problem with new Nissan products?

Upon talking to Nissan I got some rehearsed spiel about the backorder and was given no information on where the part is, why its been backordered over 2 months or when I would get it. I have been paying rental car fees for the last month out of pocket because the insurance coverage of a rental expired so everyday Im out more money because they cant produce the part I need. Ive driven a Nissan for the last 20 years and have been satisfied until this problem arose. Not being able to get the necessary parts makes me not that interested in driving Nissans if Im going to have to deal with this kind of issue anytime, God forbid, I would be in a wreck or some other problem comes up. After taking very good care of my 2008 Nissan Altima, I reached the end date of my lease and returned the car to the dealership from whom I took out the original lease agreement, Bridgewater Nissan in Bridgewater New Jersey. The dealer accepted my car and I moved on. Then, I received a letter from NMAC telling me that I owed Nissan $2,167.61! The letter stated that due to Excess Wear And Use, they were assessing me this fee. Now, so as to avoid the appearance of editorializing, heres a few facts on what really happened: 1) I was not present when the actual inspection was done; 2) I took great care of the car during the time I leased (e.g. always garaged) and I put 4 brand new tires on before I turned it in and 3) there is no way of knowing how NMAC arrived at the charges listed on the letter. The only conclusion one can draw is that (as others on this site have asserted), this is simply a way for Nissan to create new revenue streams during a time when American cars are in the ascendancy. So, lesson learned - from now on, I will only be buying/leasing vehicles from reputable sources such as Ford and GM and not from duplistic makers such as Nissan!

After having it checked by my dealer/service I was told thats normal since it is how the car gets better mpg. More than Ive been able to save since buying my first car.Since this happened Ive found out about their 2015 lawsuit, and the warranty extension for 2010 cubes. The CVT is still a safety hazard, but after talking to them I found out that denying theres a problem, and me help, is more important than maintaining a generational chain of Nissan customers and loyalty. An auto manufacturer I can trust with my life is worth generational loyalty. When they know their CVTs have a problem, I know they have a problem, the entire internet knows they have a problem, then the only thing I want to do is pay my car off and find a new manufacturer I can trust, and be loyal to... Because its obviously not Nissan.

According to Nissan, the problem is that I updated my phone. Nissan wants you to keep your phone months to years behind in updates so their app might work. I have been told at least 4 different versions of IOS are the latest that have been approved. It seems as if they are just guessing, hoping it might work. Its no wonder they now use Car Play. The head of Nissan Connect (at least by her own admission) Amanda, claims that Nissan Connect is a great system but had no answer for why, if it works so well, are they switching?

Purchased Nissan Altima..brand new from Davidson Nissan In Watertown NY. My car overheated to the point the indicator was pegged out completely! And fluid spewed out from under the hood multiple times!! First trip to very unfriendly service department..was told could not repeat. Picked up my car and the radiator fluid was still all over the front end of my car!! Next day picked my son up at school. Car overheated to the point I was asked to move it farther away from the building for fear children could be burned from the spewing liquid. Parked in the far end of parking lot. My car was flat bedded again to Davidson Nissan in Watertown N.Y. Was told again could not repeat. Went to pick up my car, they couldnt find it. Called service manager and he told them he parked it in the back field. They brought it to me covered in dirt and yep covered in more anti freeze. This continued for weeks. I told the manager of the Davidson Nissan Watertown NY I did not want the car anymore. I asked him to buy it back. He said all he could do to make it right was an extended warranty, Nissan car mats, 2 free oil changes (I did not use) and a Nissan hat. 2 years later my car suddenly jerks going down the highway. I get off exit and car hesitated. I drove less than a mile to pizza shop. Went to leave and my car would not go forward or reverse.. Called warranty company and had my car flat bedded to Burdick Nissan in Cicero NY (Drivers Village). I was told this morning that transmission had to be completely replaced!!! What it is a 2017 are you kidding me. Yep but at least its covered by warranty. What about next time? Replacing with the same kinda transmission.... Hello..I thought Nissan was a good dependable car. I dont want this car and owe too much to trade it!! Thanks Nissan.

I have 2 warranties on my car (2012 Nissan Juke) and Nissan will not honor the repairs to my car engine and/or transmission. I am under the required mileage and I bought the car used with under 30k miles. The car begin to cut off and idle down without any warning so I took it to the dealership where I live and they said I needed to replace the engine and/or transmission and that this was a ongoing problem with Nissan. I have read all the forums and Nissan is aware of the issues but will not issue a recall.I would like for them to take ownership and repair my car, I am a retired disabled veteran and I need my car to go back and forth to my doctors appointments. If I dont get any satisfaction, I am prepared to go to the local news to let them do a story on how Nissan mistreats its customers and disabled vets. I am a member of National Organization of Veterans Advocates (NOVA) and they are waiting to see the outcome of this before they intervene. Nissan knows that this is an ongoing problem and they should do the right thing by allowing me to use my car warranty to fix the issue. I am on a fixed income and I cant afford to pay absorbent amounts of money for car repairs, that is why I purchased the car warranty.

Purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima two months ago and had 85,000 miles on it when the CVT transmission went out. In hindsight if we had read more reviews we would not have purchased this vehicle due to the number of complaints about the transmission in this model! Only advanced warning we had was that the car seemed to shake and vibrate at lower RPMs and engine would race causing the tachometer to rev at higher speeds. This started about 75 to 100 miles prior to the car losing acceleration. Went from driving with the traffic on the interstate down to a limping top speed of about 25 miles an hour. Managed to get to a parking lot and ended up hauling it the last 70 miles home on a car carrier.Contacted the Nissans National Customer Support Center which was of little help. Hauled the car to a local transmission shop where the owner found the pan full of metal shavings and the transmission shot. Called 2 other transmission shops which both offered the salient advice of you should not buy a Nissan with a CVT transmission. We are now facing a $3,200 bill to replace the transmission. Unfortunately we also have to haul the car to a Nissan dealer to have the transmission programmed or flashed after it is installed. Nissan extended the warranty to 120,000 miles on earlier models but the 2013 only has the 60,000 mile warranty because of the new transmission. May be new but certainly not better!!

I took my car in to get the leather fixed, bubbling AGAIN. This has already been replaced once. My vehicle is barely a year old. They told me its because of the oil I used to clean it. The first and only time I have ever even attempted to clean my car was 3 days ago. Nissan cleans it when they service it so frequently. It is NOT because of the oil. I have already been to arbitration because the convertible top scrapes the seats when it goes up and down. Now while my car is under warranty something that was already replaced once they arent going to FIX! I will be calling the BBB again and maybe this time I will hire my own lawyer. I have never owned a Nissan and I never will again! Very Disappointed! Nissan does NOT stand by their product.

I have never seen such a high bill and even when I turned my car to dealership, they mentioned this was one of the cleanest cars they ever got back. When I called Nissan Acceptance, they started saying you should review the contract and should have done a 3rd party inspection before giving the car back. They claim they sent me a letter too... but I never got anything. All I got was phone calls asking me to release another Nissan. I have leased vehicles before and this is the shadiest process. Good luck to Nissan as I will ensure none of my friends will get a Nissan anymore... Awesome customer service... Way to go Nissan...

Leased new Infiniti QX70 in 2017. Never missed a payment, or late. Reported as 30-day late to credit bureau 2 months before lease ended because the local sales tax had changed from 6% to 7%, and even though I made the payment, I was $5.38 short. Never knew the rate changed! I am paperless, and make automatic payments. Why would I imagine that my payment would change when I entered into a contract for a specified amount for 36 months? I have leased/owned 4 Infiniti vehicles (QX4, G35, EX35, and QX70) for more than 25 years, and only now have I ever had any issues. Their answer: TOO BAD. Ownership of a Nissan is synonymous with dissatisfaction. On March 25, 2019, I purchased a new Nissan Frontier from Jenkins Nissan, Leesburg, FL. After 30 months of ownership and only 14,058 miles, it had an obvious manufacturing defect. Namely, the paint started peeling off at nearly every weld spots on the fenders and the bed rail of the vehicle. They did determine that this is a “warranty issue.” On August 11, 2021, Jenkins Nissan Leesburg, Florida service personnel told me the peeling was indeed caused by the weld spots, but they did nothing except tell me to take the Nissan Frontier to Reed Nissan Clermont, Florida because they (Jenkins Nissan) didnt have a body shop. I contacted Nissan Customer Services on August 15, 2021 to determine where I should take the vehicle to fix the manufacturing defect. On August 24, 2021, I was finally contacted by *** from Nissan Customer Services and she told me to take it to any Nissan Dealer to file the report to the Warranty Department for this region. On August 31, 2021, I had an appointment with Reed Nissan Clermont, Florida. Reed Nissan Clermont sent me to Reed Nissan Orlando because they didnt have a body shop either. On September 7, 2021, I had an appointment with Reed Nissan Orlando, Florida. They inspected my car, took pictures and told me that they were filing a report and that I would hear something that day, fact is their words were, you should hear something within an hour. That hear something within an hour comment has now turned into several weeks. Finally on their advice on October 7, 2021, I took my Nissan Frontier to Reed Nissan Orlando to get it repaired. Only, that didn’t happen because Reed Nissan failed to file the claim. After much pressure from me, Reed Nissan filed the report. Finally, on October 29, 2021 the Nissan Frontier was repaired. It took 79 (seventy nine) days from the time of my complaint to get the vehicle fixed., I believe the Nissan Frontier is a very competitive vehicle but the three Nissan dealer’s LACK knowledge of filing a warranty issue claim is unacceptable. Had this been an engine failure or a transmission failure, I would have been without the vehicle for 79 days or 11 days shy of three months.

So, I had a broken coil spring on my 2009 Versa. I contacted my dealer and told him that my car only had 75k miles, and I thought it was crazy that a coil spring should break with so few miles. I am close to 70 years old, and I drive responsibly, avoiding pot holes etc. I was told by the dealer that this was not covered and it would cost me $450.00 to replace the springs. Being on a fixed income, I thought that was outrageous. I then called Nissan and filed a report, and a factory rep did check into it and again I was denied compensation of any kind. After much searching I finally found the coil springs on sale for $57.42 each, from another Nissan dealer. I also purchased the rubber seats for the top and bottom of each spring for $21.20. So, with parts, sales tax, and shipping my total cost was $147.32. I asked one of my family members if he could install the on my car and he said it would be easy, being that only one bolt needed to be removed before installing the rubber seats and springs. I left the car with him and within one hour he called me and said it was done. WHAT, that quick? He said that it was an easy job, and it only took him about 15 minutes to install both springs. I tried to pay him $50 and he said he didnt want to take advantage of me and handed $30 back to me. So I saved $282.68 that I would have had to pay to Nissan for the same work! I also should mention that my step son said he would like to do about 20 of these coil spring jobs a week. They were that easy! I understand that companies need to make a profit, but come on, this is over the top! This experience has turned me from a extremely satisfied customer to a skeptic about future work to be performed by the dealership.

I am the owner of a 2013 Nissan Rogue S AWD Special Edition. Prior to this vehicle I have bought Two and Leased Two, and believe me there is No Loyalty from this company. My complaint with Nissan is - on Sept. 2014 I brought my car to the Dealer MLG #34,387 Newburgh Nissan NY for CVT transmission problems. Whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway, very dangerous. They found an ABS code C1106. Had no problem until April 2015 and it happened again, whining and over heating causing loss of power while driving on the highway. So I brought it back to the Dealer MLG #45,452 Newburgh Nissan NY and they could not duplicate the problem and NO codes. OK so now I called Consumer Affairs of Nissan and I received a return call from ** (615) 725-7592 who gave my a REF. # **. Told her what was going on and she insisted that I take to a different Dealer for a Second Opinion. So thats what I did, I brought the car over to another Dealer MLG #45,963 April 2015 Middletown Nissan NY and they couldnt duplicate the problem as well and NO codes. And now to top it off, this problem its costing me money to a Rent A Car. OK So I picked up the car and on May 2, 2015 it happened again. On May 4, 2015 I had my friend hook up the scanner to check the system and found a stored code. Transmission Fault code P0744 Torque Converter ECU part # 31036-JM62A. So I brought the car back to the first Dealer Newburgh Nissan NY and thats where car is now, and they wouldnt give me a rent a car so I am stuck home. I left several messages with ** and have not received a call back. Shows you how concerned she is about this problem. I also filed 3 Vehicle Safety Complaints with Safercar, gov...

I took my car to Nissan of Riverhead NY on 8-26-17. I brought it in for two new tires and a coolant flush. This job should have cost me about $450, instead I walked out paying $675. They overcharged me on every part and aspect of service. They broke not one but both of my tire TPMS sensors before telling me what they did. Then had the nerve to say it was my fault because of the metal tire valve stem caps Nissan put on years ago. They claimed giving me a coupon on my receipt and not charging me a fee made up for what they did. The coupon didnt even make up for how much they overcharged me for parts and service.Furthermore driving the car home it had a extreme vibration that it never had before and would require the brakes to be fixed on the car in under a few months to make it go away. Also the tires they sold me were the wrong ones and so badly installed that they would leak constantly and eventually need to be replaced in under two years. Mavis confirmed that it was poor work that cause the premature failure of my brakes and tires. I have all the supporting receipts and videos to prove all this. This is a link to the video when you will hear the one mechanic discuss how bad the work on my car was and you will hear a customer service rep tell him to stop CSI my car and finding problems so they could cover up their terrible service and the damage they did to my car. https://youtu.be/IYTTbhw6taY.Also I met with the owner and he and his staff was unwilling to do anything but play a blame game. I contacted Nissan in the matter and they sided with him even though there are numerous complaints against several of his dealerships. I would not buy from him ever again and certainly I will never buy from Nissan again since they did nothing to solve the problem. I now own a Honda and could not be happier to be out of this nightmare - but the loss of thousands of dollars due to irresponsible businesses such as Nissan is still a painful experience no one should go through.

I have continued problems with my 2009 Altima which I have not exceed 110,000 miles. Speaking with your dealer service department they want to charge $120.00 to run a test and find out if the problem with the transmission is still under warranty. Which to me is confusing if your consumer affairs say the CVT is under warranty until 2019 or 120,000 miles I have not exceed either. Ive never had a car with this amount of issues even when I was buying used cars. I never owned a Nissan and with the experience Im having and the issue Ive had in the past I will never purchase or own one again. Several of my friends who drive or have driven Nissan products have had bad experiences as well.

Bought 4 years ago. Always maintained. Engines light comes on at 115k and it turns out that the CVT is to blame. Now Im discovering that its very common for these transmissions to only last 100k miles. Its super expensive to replace. After more research it seems to be more of a ($4k) consumable part instead of something you could trust to last for the life of the car. This would be okay, only if the repair cost wasnt going to effectively total the car. And totaled because no one wants to buy a car that is unreliable. The resale value is so low because of these problems? When called, Nissan offered no assistance and was very tight-lipped about this being anything but a rare occurrence. This is definitely a steep drop from the reliability standard I thought Nissan had. Never again?

I came across the mission of your company on your website. Since months I have serious and justified doubts on this mission. Let me explain: My Nissan Trail (1 year old - warranty) that I bought last year in January 2016 in Windhoek, Namibia has been under repair since 27 August 2016 until today (!) after an engine jamming. A long story of promises by the local Nissan dealer has been culminating in a statement by the dealer last Monday, 6 March 2017: We are sorry the engine has no compression and we have to bring it back to repair to the engine workshop. So I am waiting now for more than 7 months for my car with now not any prediction when it is going to be ready. And if it is could Nissan warrant that it is functioning? Engine repair is not standard anymore in Europe, but is overtaxed to customers in Africa. All this questions and more in detail I addressed in a written complaint to Nissan South Africa with not any answer so far. I hope you can address this mismatch between your mission and my experience as soon as possible. A frustrated customer.

I have three case numbers for the same issue with Nissan USA (**). All of my correspondence should be included with each case number. The attached comment below was my last comment back to Nissan USA. I have offered to take part of the responsibility of the repair and pay the labor. I paid to have parts replaced that were in good working order. (Both catalyst) due to a known defect in the manifold upper tubing 2004/2007. The vehicle was passing DEQ every time I had tags renewed, which, I had done in November of 2014. I have no way of knowing when the manifolds cracked. If a notice had been sent out I would have taken my Armada in to be checked. The cracks were very small and in the same place on both of the old manifolds. The dealer was obviously aware of the issue. The service manager told me when he showed me the old manifolds, Nissan corrected the issue by adding a weld to the manifold to prevent it from cracking. I hope this can be taken to another level of review. This is my 4th Nissan and will probably be my last. If Nissan was truly interested in keeping customers for life they would at least cover the parts due to the nature of the issue. Had a notification been sent out in regard to the issue I would have taken the vehicle in to be repaired. Nissan basically covered their butt by extending the warranty and not notifying their customers of the issue --- WRONG --- this issue needs to go to a level above whoever is reviewing my case. I will pursue my case with the Consumer Protection Agency.

I have a 2008 Pathfinder. A few weeks ago the check engine light came on and the fuel gauge stopped working. I checked the web and found a recall from Nissan for 2008 pathfinder that had an issue where the check engine light came on and the fuel gauge stopped working. Perfect I thought so I took it to the dealership. They informed me that even though it was the exact same part for the same make, model and year, my VIN was not covered. So they will not cover the cost to fix. I have owned 3 Nissans and was planning on purchasing another next year. I bought a new 2018 Versa S plus in July. It gets good gas mileage and looks good. That’s where the good ends... The bad, The CVT transmission has an intermittent issue where it vibrates or shudders when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot find an issue. The main seal where engine meets transmission is seeping oil. The dealer refused to acknowledge it was oil (called it a liquid) and said Nissan will not cover repair unless it is dripping on the ground! Really???I’ve had my oil changed twice, both times at two different Nissan dealerships. Both times they overfilled oil. First time they pumped 5 qts into a car in which the owners manual states 3.75 qts and had to drain some out. The 2nd time they put in 4 qts and had to drain some out. The incompetence in these authorized Nissan dealerships is bewildering!I’ve had three 27 point inspection and not one mention of the oil that is leaking from main seal. The green box is checked for leaks underneath car! I will be changing my own oil going forward and saving receipts. At least I know it will be done right... I will not purchase another Nissan product based off of my experience with the brand and incompetent service centers. I will definitely be selling this car before warranty is expired.

I leased a Nissan Altima in 2006 and made all lease payments until the lease expired. The dealer that originally took the lease went out of business. I was told to continue payments and complied. In 2012 I was told that the payoff was $3,000. I continued to make the payments until that amount and more was reached. I have now been told that I still have to make the payments even though the total payoff has been made. All I want is my title so that the vehicle can be sold. Tonight I find myself online drafting a lawsuit against Nissan because they are still trying to charge me for the vehicle even though I have held up my end of the deal. Somehow they feel that because the dealer went out of business, I am obligated to pay indefinitely for this vehicle. Consumer Affairs at Nissan has been of no use. First Instance: I booked vehicle at Nissan Alissa Showroom at Prince Sultan Road, Jeddah on 24-6-2016. While booking vehicle, I had been told by sales supervisor that I will get vehicle before Eid (festival) but after follow-up for vehicle, sales supervisor said that he didnt promised but just he said he will try. My Experience: My question is when you are aware that it is not possible then why give false commitment and false hope to customers.Second Instance: When I got sms of registration of my car number plate on 20-07-2016, I went to showroom expecting to get car. Sales supervisor checked his computer and said, my car is at Falisteen Road branch. I have to go there tomorrow before 11:30 AM or else I will not get car. As per his instruction I went. It was 21-7-2016. Delivery staff said my car not yet reached from warehouse and I have to wait. I waited for 5 hours and finally at 3.55 PM my car reached. I got it at 6.00 PM. My Experience: Making customer wait for complete day and waste their time. Their attitude is a customer has to wait, no issue, it is norm. There is no coordination at all between teams/department and no one follows SOP (I doubt, if there is any). Just chaos. No one take a lead to solve customer issue. Just blame other co-workers.Third Instance: I had been handed dirty vehicle. From inside floor was wet, dirty dusty hands prints on car door panel, exterior crevices is full of sand. When asked why its not cleaned, answer is cleaners are lazy. My Experience: No one bother about customer experience and staffs are not trained about their job, which leads to casual attitude towards work. I decided I will never buy Nissan againFourth Instance: Very next day when I try to start the car it was not getting start only clicking sound (as Friday and Saturday service department is closed, I have to wait till Sunday). I went to the dealer. He said I have to go to Auto Star showroom on Tahliya road that is the workshop. I went there. They said battery has to be replaced. My Experience: Speechless!!!Fifth Instance: I had been told that they dont have battery in stock so I have to come next day. I express my disregard then workshop manager told me to wait, he will buy on cash and I can my take vehicle today. I have been waiting. When there was only one hour left for closing, I inquired when will he receive battery. He dial some numbers and spoke to someone and said he cant help me because he dont have petty cash. My Experience: Wasted my time by giving me false information and finally give lame excuse. Battery is out of stock!!! A joke.Sixth Instance: Next day I was expecting call from workshop. I didnt get any call till afternoon. I call them to check. I spoke to manager. He said till now its not ready and he will call me back once it is ready. Alas! Not any call, not even to apologize for not getting vehicle ready. When I didnt get any call for four days, I went and blasted manager he put some local battery and gave me car. My Experience: Nissan has to be one of the worst companies known to man.Overall Experience: Please check picture attached and decide yourself. I even complaint to Nissan Middle East head office, only reply I got is: Greetings from Nissan Middle East FZE. Please note that, we are reviewing your case with our local dealer in KSA and you may expect to receive an update soon. At the meantime, should you require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us. Not even I got a single call from anybody. I just say if you want to stay happy keep yourself away from Nissan.

We ended our lease with Nissan through NMAC and had a balance due on our mileage. When we turned it in we bought TWO NEW ROGUES. Since we send monthly payments toward the balance on the lease instead of paying it all at once, they notified the credit bureau saying we did not pay the balance! We are paying them for three cars! Also, when we bought the cars they did not clean them meaning there is residue on the windows where the stickers were. Not even one follow up call, no notices for check ups. Really lousy customer service AFTER you close the deal. Totally disappointed. Cars run fine, the way they treat people is the problem. We will not buy from Nissan again.

I own a 2007 Xterra 4X4. I had to replace the rear wheel axle twice! The first time at around 34000 miles and Nissan replaced it under warranty. The 2nd time it happened at around 60,000. Nissan was of no help and it cost me almost $3,000. The vehicle was in the shop for 6 weeks, while I was waiting on Nissan to respond to my complain. To top it off, when I picked up my Xterra after Kraft Nissan installed the new axle, the mechanic forgot to release the brakes (axle comes complete with new brakes) and they started smoking and I had to return to the shop!!! Nissan will not stand behind their product. My husband drives a Nissan Frontier and his transmission had to be replaced twice. I will never again purchase a Nissan Product.

Ive had the privilege of driving 3 Nissans because our family owns 3 models: a Sentra, a Vanette and an Exalta. I first learned how to drive using the Vanette. Simply put, its my favorite car brand. Ive also had the chance to drive other car brands, but I just dont get the same feeling as when I drive a Nissan. Ive been driving for 12 years and I hope that when I can finally afford to buy my own car, therell be an awesome Nissan car waiting for me to buy it. BTW - that Nissan Juke advertisement with the typo was genius. Kudos to Nissan for thinking of something brilliant to promote their SUV. Cant wait to see what they have to offer next!

Extremely poor customer service from Nissan UK after reporting numerous faults on my new car (Nissan Note). The local dealer has done their best with no support from the manufacturer. The car has the following problems - front wings have been changed after painting. Windscreen trims loose and fell off. Drive belt replaced due to slipping. Front window trims NS/OS not fitting. Front NS seat base cover keeps coming off. Water leaks into rear OS footwell caused by two seam welds being missed in manufacturing a damaged air vent and dented body panel. Air conditioning pump leaking and no gas but very noisy. I would definitely recommend staying clear of a new Nissan of any type.

I learned there is a recall on my transmission that went out 3 months after I purchased the car. I called Nissan North America and they told me I could not get any assistance in getting my transmission fixed. They said because I had a salvage title and non Nissan parts on my car. That was a lie. Then they told me it was because I am out of the mile range. I have documentation when I was in mileage range of the replacement that there was nothing wrong but needed a flush. Went and got one and then they documented that it needed a new one.Their store told me call them. They should help me replace it. I called and they said Sorry you are over miles. Cant do anything? The worst possible customer service ever. I would never purchase another Nissan again. Horrible!!! Nissan is so great and backs their products up. Well I surely am not seen it. There are many complaints about this and theyre doing nothing. It should be illegal! I guess it is going to take someone getting seriously hurt or killed in one of these cars for them to want to do anything. Very disappointed in Nissan!!

Dropped off my 2013 Nissan Versa for the CVT recall. After I left and got onto the 101 freeway my car went from 60 MPH to about 10 right in front of a Big Rig truck. We crawled toward the nearest exit and went back to the dealer. They said it needed a new transmission and would be 4000 dollars. At 51,000 my warranty was up since it had been a few months over 5 years. They said it was still driveable since I didnt have the cash to fork over so we left and almost got hit as the car stopped on La Brea and Fountain. As I was in extreme distress and by the grace of God we were able to pull into an urgent care lot and the ladies said we could park the car there until we got a tow truck. This was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me and now I am unable to go anywhere as I have no car. Nissan... SHAME ON YOU!!!

It was good on gas to carry me far distances. My truck also had a stereo system in it which played very good. But I would add a DVD player to watch movies when Im on the road with my grand kids. I like the way it sits up high were I can see everything but I would also like to buy it with the windows tinted to keep the sun out in the summer time because I live in Florida. I purchased a vehicle because I thought it was a sound economical choice and a practical car comparable in functionality to a Toyota or Honda. I was absolutely wrong. Not only do things begin to break and fall apart pre-maturely, but basic maintenance is almost impossible due to the poor construction and parts used on the vehicle. No one, including dealerships carry the parts for this 2012 Nissan Versa. Theres no such thing as being able to buy a new battery from AAA because they wont have it, I cant get the transmission fluid changed because Jiffy Lube cant get to it, I cant get my brakes changed at Firestone because they dont have the random, cheap parts the Versa requires. I didnt buy a car in this price point to be forced to take it to a Nissan dealership for maintenance and have them take a full day or longer to fiddle around with no better information or resources than the next auto mechanics shop.Of course Nissan Corporate heard from me and took no interest in my problems with their product. I just wished they cared more. I put my toddler in that car knowing its not the safest but forced to continue using it until Im presented with an opportunity to be rid of it. I feel like I got duped by Nissans misleading marketing and branding campaign that they are reliable vehicles. It would be nice if Nissan had more integrity. Will never purchase another Nissan or refer them to someone shopping for a car.

I filed complaints with Bakersfield Nissan, Dept. of Consumer Affairs and Better Business to no avail. Then I filed the complaint with Nissan. Last February I purchased a 2006 (used) Nissan Murano which had 33,660 on the odometer. I had a hard time getting credit due to a 3-year divorce action, which messed up my credit. Bakersfield Nissan ended up making paper work for three different credit agencies. With this voluminous amount of paper work, I didnt read everything. When I purchased the car, I was not informed there wasnt any warranty on it. I should have been told this and offered an extended warranty. The sales manager tried to tell me it was my responsibility and I told him (cant say it) in no kind words. I worked as Office Manager-Accountant for 4 dealerships back in Rhode Island, one being an AMC-Datsun-Peugeot dealership in Provided operated by the Gabrolowitze brothers back in the late 60s.While going over the car with the salesman I pointed out several items that had to be fixed, including a dent below rear tail light, missing tire caps, dent on rear aluminum panel below trunk, loose visor (drivers side), etc. I told him Id wait; bring it in after a few weeks in case of something else was wrong. When I returned, the salesman wasnt there, so I brought it to repair shop. They gave me a bill for $2,000.00 and I left in a huff. Before a couple weeks I noticed oil leaked on my driveway and thought it was the transmission. I was informed by the service manager that the power steering ($800.00) was leaking and needed to be replaced. The visor cost was $400.00. They were only going to repair the damage at the paint shop. After much complaining, they fixed the visor but that was it. You should have copy of my December 7th letter complaining about all this.I ended up paying $400.00 for something else as the power steering element was okay. Then the alternator went and I had that repaired for another $410.00. I can see that nothing was done to prep this car for sale. I brought it to EZ Lube for an oil change ($40.00); American Tire (4 Michelin tires) at $813.00. I know this would be my obligation, but mileage was only 54,284. To ensure tires would last, I had front end alignment at Pep Boys ($75.00).I told people at Nissan I would never set foot in their establishment again and have not been a good ambassador for Nissan. They kept sending me service reminders. So Id call and told them to remove my name from their customers. I am almost 80 and have had many cars in my life but not a Nissan. In the late 60s I purchased a Datsun, 210Z for my daughter. Most of the vehicles I purchased were Fords. Also, Chevys, VWs and Toyotas.Going back to the contract, when I wasnt offered an extended warranty they charged me $695.00 for GAP insurance which I didnt want. This money could have been used for a warranty. I cancelled it before the 90 days and received a refund. Also, after all the complaints I filed, the sales manager offered me an extended warranty $100.00 over his cost to which I declined and told him it was too late and should have occurred in February when I could have had it included on my contract. I found the salesmans card: Alex **, a Filipino friend of a friend of mine.

My car has been held at Nissan repair shop for 30 days, for a faulty transmission, that a lot of the public has an issue with. I spoke with Nissan customer service (Katey **) on 4/25/2018 case **. I was promised a 2 month credit to my account, for the time lost, and money by not being able to drive my car. I was suppose to receive an email on 4/26/2018 with documents, for this action to proceed with the credit to my account. I NEVER received them yet and its now May 10, 2018. I called customer service today at 6:45 pm, and Jazmine the representative answered with a nasty attitude, consistently asking me for a payment, when Nissan owes me a credit. She began speaking over me, and would not allow me to answer any of her questions. I then requested to speak with a Manager, she put me on hold, then I heard her mumble a under her breath, then she disconnected the call on me. I called back, and I immediately requested a Manager, his name was Chuck, he also answered with a nasty tone, and was basically flipping me, Yeah yeah maam whats your issue. I then asked if they were happy with their jobs, because I am an innocent customer, who does not deserve the DISRESPECT, I have spent nearly 20,000 with this company. Purchased car in April 2012. It is a convertible, just in time to enjoy for the summer. But that did not happen because within a month of having the car just in time to use for the nice weather, the car was in for service because the roof would not go up and down - 3x this happened. Then the winter came, no problems, because you dont look to put the roof down. The summer of 2013 is here and the car is in for service again - entire roof was replaced and still does not work properly. The car has been at 2 different dealerships in the 16 months I have owned it for a total of 7 times. One dealership even tried to give me the car back with the windows not closing properly.

Ive been a customer of Nissan since August 2018. Ive purchased my first bra
Ive been a customer of Nissan since August 2018. Ive purchased my first brand new car on July of 2018 through Fairfax Browns Nissan. Since then, Ive had multiple incidents with my car having mechanical issues. First, I had issues with my radio/audio not working, more specifically, my car not connecting to my phone. This has been going on since 2018 and Ive reported it multiple times to the Nissan dealership but they failed to fix the issues. Initially, I was told that I needed to replace some parts with the USB but even after, it never got fixed. Second, my car stopped working (it would not turn on with the start/push engine starter). When I called Nissan, they instructed me to put the key close to the push/start starter and try to start the car. Initially, it did not work so I ended up getting my car towed from my employers parking garage which I ended up paying out of my own pocket. This initial problem happened late at night so I could not get in contact with Nissan. I called the Nissan during business hours, and was told it had something to do with the battery and they stated they would change the battery of the keys. After taking the time off work to go to Nissan to fix the problem, they finally changed the battery of my keys.Few days after, my car kept having the same issues. After talking to multiple mechanics and doing some research, I was told about some recalls on my car. The next day, I ended up calling Nissan again, and notified them about the recalls and the issues. I was told that they would look into it. During this whole time, I had to use a rental lended by Nissan. After about a week, Nissan told me that there was no issue and they asked me to pick up my car which I did. While I was at the shop, trying to start my car, my car stopped working again and would not start. I was furious at this point because I had to take off work AGAIN to get my car fixed. I drove the rental car again and went back home. I called Nissan the next day to check on the status of my car and asked what the issue was and why they didnt fix the issue. Nissan responded by saying we didnt fix the issue because the problem didnt occur while the car was in the shop. (After I told them about the recalls that needed to be fixed). After another week of not having my car, I finally got a call asking to pick up my vehicle from Nissan. I was told they fixed all the problems and my car should be working fine. On my way back home after picking up my car, it started having another issue. My car started making a loud beeping noise and had a big warning light on the screen. I immediately called Nissan again and told them about the issue and was told to turn around and bring the car back... Being frustrated and angry, I asked what was the issue and they said, the mechanic has to look at the issue and try to figure out what was wrong with it. After, I was told it had something to do with the sensor (I found this really weird because I never had this problem.). They ended up giving me another rental car and told me it would take about another week because they would have to order the parts and replace the problem. After reaching out to multiple Nissan customers, I was told that I could have possibly been sold a Lemon Car with multiple issues. With my warranty almost running out and not getting help from the service department and the sales department, I was told to contact the Nissans corporate office to file a complaint. Initially, I decided to change from Honda to Nissan because I really liked the looks of Nissan vehicles and was told by some people about their great experiences with customer service.Unfortunately, for me, I had a terrible and awful experience with Nissan customer service and felt like I was getting taken advantage of because the sales department kept calling me to come in for better deals (which never happened). They continuously kept convincing me to lease a brand new car with higher monthly payments to avoid future issues after Ive already made around $6000 of payments on my new car which already depreciated a lot in value. After talking to the corporate office, they basically told me according to the “Lemon Law”, they can’t do anything for me so now I’m stuck with a messed up brand new car. DONT EVER BUY A NISSAN! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

Have been ripped off and treated so poorly! I paid for a brand new Nissan Ultima. Before it had 30,000 miles on it the thing over heated three times shutting down on the side of the road! A fire started under the hood. They would not even come and get me or tow the car! I had to pay for it even though I got roadside service! When I called for help they said I wasnt eligible then the next day they said they wouldnt refund the tow! Then the heater broke! They said they found the problem and fixed it but when it broke again in two weeks they refused to even look at it saying nothing was wrong with it to begin with and they couldnt spend money to keep trying to fix it. They never fixed it. They kept saying it was fine. LOL so patronizing and unhelpful. I wear coats in the car now. I applied to Nissan corp for help. They stalled me two months then said no. Dealer only said the repeated overheating and fire was a bad alternator that we should have caught but they wouldnt replace the car or engine. On a NEW car??? Other shops now tell me the heater malfunction is due to the critical overheating and that many other systems will be significantly damaged. I asked what are the specs on the heater: they said, Ohh we dont have any. Lemon laws are useless if they can get the thing to drive off the lot. Shame on them. I was ripped off. Karma will get you boys.

Absolutely horrible service from all aspects of Nissan. Summary: Issue was reported to Nissan Consumer Affairs (CA) and I was told that my car was still under warranty. My vehicle was at McDavid Nissan for 5 days before it was looked at despite having an appointment. Due to the delay in inspecting the vehicle the warranty had exceeded the 3 year warranty window. CA changed. Told me I was out of luck but would examine my case for out of warranty assistance. This would take an additional 3-5 business days. 12+ calls were left unanswered and messages left un-returned about the status of my vehicle. 3 messages left with the service manager were un-returned. No loaner car was provided and I was told I would need to pay to rent a vehicle. The 6 hour job took 9 days to complete.Full Story: I purchased a 2016 370Z NISMO In November 2015. My vehicle developed a water leak in heavy rain on the driver side door. This looks to be a common problem with these vehicles. My vehicle had 33,000 miles and I was told at another dealership that the warranty only covered 32,000 miles. I reported the issue to CA on a survey and was called by a representative. They told me that my vehicle was still under warranty and should take it in. I made an appointment as soon as I could and dropped the vehicle off on a Monday at 4 PM. I was told that no loaner would be provided and that I needed to pay for a rental. This is ridiculous and seems to be the common policy for all Nissan dealers. By Wednesday they had still not inspected the car. Finally, on Friday they called to let me know that they had found the issue and that I would need to approve the charges. I called to find out what the charges were since it was under warranty, but my service rep was out of the office and no one else could help me. On Saturday I was finally able to reach my service rep who informed me that my warranty had expired 3 days prior to me bringing it in and the work would cost $2,000. I called back to CA to figure out why I was told the work would be covered. When I called they told me I was screwed. Even though I had reported the issue inside the 3-year window, and the exact issue I described was found upon inspection, since the service department took so long to inspect the vehicle the warranty had expired. On the following Monday they called me back in and said they would look at my case for out of warranty assistance in 3-5 days but there were no guarantees. I told the dealer to order the parts so that the work could progress while I was waiting. The parts took twice as long to arrive over what I was told. When I called to find out about the status of the parts my calls were ignored and when I left messages no one would return my calls. I called over 8 times on Tuesday to get a status update and all the calls were ignored. I left 2 different messages with the service manager and these calls were never returned. I was again denied a loaner car. During the entire process my issues were treated as my problem and Nissan was of no help. On Wednesday I called again to get a status update, after 3 ignored call and another ignored message to the service manager, I was told that they were still waiting on approval from CA. CA told me they had marked the case urgent, but it could take another day or two. I told them the work would be complete and that I was going to pick up the car because I needed transportation. CA said that if I did that, the case would have to be reevaluated for reimbursement and could change their decision. I told them that this was absurd, and they said they couldnt do anything about it. Later that day CA called to let me know they had finally reached a decision to cover the repairs. I went to the dealership to pick up the car, but it wasnt ready even though I was told it would be. When the car was finally done, they didnt pull it up, they just gave me the keys and told me to go find my vehicle. I will never buy another Nissan and neither will my friends or coworkers.

I attempted to make two payments to NMAC through my banks bill pay service. The first time, I entered the account number from my statement by hand. The second time, I entered my account number through copy and paste from my statement on NMAC’s website. Both payments were returned for invalid account number. I contacted NMAC’s customer service to inquire and they could not explain why the ACH payments from my bank were returned. I then mailed a check to NMAC for my payment. I prefer to pay my payments in an electronic fashion so I dont have to worry about my check being lost in the mail or a delay with the postal system. I then signed up for recurring payments on NMAC; their only option is to pay once monthly. I prefer to pay specific amounts each check to reduce my interest costs to myself. I guess with Nissan, its their way or the highway. In addition, when I purchased my vehicle from Sheehy of Manassas, I was told my GAP insurance was free. When I reviewed my sales contract, the GAP insurance is included in the contract and the balance reflects my loan with NMAC. How is the GAP free if Im paying for it? The first contract on the vehicle was at 4.99% interest. I was called back and told I dont qualify for that rate. So if I purchase the Sheehy VIP care maintenance service and lockout service, then I can receive 2.09% but lose one of my rebates, which made my payments go up $3 per month. What kind of math classes did Nissan take in college?
