I have complained to Nissan numerous times about back up camera malfunction. I have even recorded videos and let them see me driving and that the camera shows what’s behind me. My radio shuts down for no apparent reason. This is a 2018 Pathfinder. I hate Nissan and everything they stand for. Theyre a bunch of liars and don’t keep their word.
I have experienced more incompetence from this dept. than any other customer service center I have ever contacted. It has been 3 months I have been attempting to get them to send my title to the state DMV for registration. I have faxed them documents at least 6 times during this period. I follow-up with the fax to confirm everything was received and it is all in order. I am told all is in order and the request is being processed. A week later I follow-up for status to be told something or other is missing or incorrect. They do not have the courtesy to contact me when they discover the error, they simply throw it out and never inform the customer. I will never buy a Nissan again.
Nissan has the worst customer service. I have been a valuable customer since 2011 and have never missed one payment. I was informed that the company did not receive one of my payments and instead of notifying me, they sent me to creditors. I am convinced someone from the company took that payment and pocketed it. Because of their carelessness, I have been put as delinquent after only missing one payment; and instead of helping to resolve the issue, they said theres nothing they can do! Horrible customer service and bad manager! Nissan needs better employees who know how to interact well with customers, try to find solutions and dont catch attitudes with customers who spend their money in this company. I will never recommend anyone to ever purchase a vehicle with Nissan!
I have complained to Nissan Customer Service Malaysia about the occurrence of a small crack line at the center of my Nissan Sylphy dashboard. They replied that the crack line was due to external impact and therefore not claimable. I requested for a detailed explanation of what sort of external impact that has caused the crack line. This is because they have taken photos of my car both externally and internally. They did not give me a satisfactory reply but instead requested me to pay some USD1000 for the repair.Sir, the only impact on my car is a small dent on the lower left door of my car that has happened more than a year ago. My mechanic can testify to that. But, the crack occurred just one month ago. So there is no relationship between the dent and the crack. It really hurts when I received such response from Customer Service Nissan Malaysia as I have been a strong supporter of Nissan cars in the last 15 years. I have owned a Nissan Serena (1997), Nissan Sentra (2005) and now a Nissan Sylph (2009). Your kind intervention is much appreciated.
Id rather let my credit go to the toilet and file bankruptcy than to EVER dip business with Nissan again. They let dealerships lie and just say whatever simply to get you into a car, then they offer no resolution about fixing the lie. When you call customer service they treat you like a scolded kid, and offer no respect or empathy whatsoever. Its ridiculous and absurd that we are treated such a way when you spend so money on something that is so vital. The air circulation is a joke. It only reaches the front seats and the people in the back get no air flow whatsoever. This was an issue in the first vehicle, and I was promised the new vehicle was so much better and redesigned, but honestly this car is bigger so its worse. They did not have a manual transmission which I wanted but they tried to convince me that the automatic is again redesigned and so much more efficient and yet not only have I lost about 6mpg, the car is constantly revving over 4rpm even when Im barely on the gas. They will say anything just to get you in the car and all they care about is the initial sale. After that they could care less about you or your business.
I want to warn everyone to stay away from Jenkins Nissan in Lakeland Florida. As my previous post stated my wife bought a brand new 2018 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner. After only 1060 miles the motor blew up after the catalytic converter malfunctioned and parts got sucked into the engine. We have spoke to Nissan headquarters and now theyve stopped responding to us. This is what the truck looked like when we went to pick it up. The drive shaft is covered in rust and so is where the exhaust bolts to the engine. Dealership says it normal wear and tear. Theyre not replacing the driveshaft. They said the rust depends on where the truck was manufactured. Its normal. I went around their lot. No rust under any of the other trucks there. My 2014 Titan and our sons 2014 Frontier has no rust. Not a drop. Heres photos of how it looked with the brand new engine. Thats Nissan. @Jenkins Nissan @Nissan. Share this please. Everything under the hood filthy and thanks for the 2 scratches on the front bumper!! Sad thing is thats the 4th vehicle our family has purchased from Jenkins. Way to lose customers. #JenkinsNissan, #Nissan Bonnie **. Next chapter. So as you all know, my wifes new Nissan Desert Runner after having only 1060 miles on it. Had the motor blow up after the catalytic converter mess up. They replaced the motor and converter in 28 days. She picked it up and has driven 51 miles since. Now warning lights are coming on and off for no reason. The brake light, battery light, and a white one in the middle keep coming on. We explained we want the truck replaced. They refused and its just one problem after another. Contacting The Better Business Bureau and Department of Agriculture tomorrow. My brother in law owns a repair shop in Jacksonville. I have owned my 2014 Nissan Rogue brand new. I have had nothing but problems with it. Transmission, breaks, electrical, navigation, tail hitch, seat belt covers, brake booster x3, mounts, struts the list goes on. I tried to claim lemon law several times and get denied. My vehicle has been falling apart since I got it and get zero support from Nissan! It is back in the shop for a failed brake booster and now they want me to pay for it! Dont buy a Nissan ROGUE ever!!!
Myself and a few family members of mine have driven nothing but Nissans for the past several years. My moms first Nissan was an 01 Altima. She drove it for 5 years and 230k miles with nary an issue. Her next vehicle was an 06 Sentra. Another five years, another 230k miles with no issues. Her current vehicle is a 2011 Sentra that has 215k miles. The only major repair has been the crank sensor. She had such good luck with Nissans I decided to purchase a used Versa Hatchback. It had 26k on it when the ex and I purchased it. I commuted with it for three years and traded it in at 140k miles (due to personal issues) with no issues.I drove a 13 Versa for a year until I was rear ended and it was totaled by a drunk driver. I accrued 52k miles on it with no troubles. After that I got a 14 Sentra 6 SPD. I drove it for a year and accrued 45k miles on it with no issues. I found myself needing a truck so I traded it in for a Frontier. Ive had it for two months and 8k miles and am extremely happy with it. I plan on keeping it for a long time. The point is you will occasionally get the troubled anomaly, but all in all Nissan makes a good product.
I received a bright orange post card from Nissan with the headline RECALL NOTICE - Your Nissan may be in need of correction to assure its continued Safe Operation (in bold face). It then asks to call for an appointment. A Modification code ** is given. When I get to the service desk, he states there is no recall on my vehicle. He quickly hustles me into a 15,000 car maintenance. The cost was $330. After 2 1/4 years, I had only 12,000 miles on my car. I felt I was taken and I was. I made a complaint to Nissan corporate consumer affairs. They will do nothing except to stop having promotions and phony recall cards sent out.
Right After my accident when the brakes locked up and gave out on me while going over an on ramp close to I-80. While in My 2017 NISSAN Rogue Sport while driving through Sacramento Ca. After the accident, I called Nissan Finance and Total Loss Recovery and explain to them that Nissan Momentum advice me to close out of my AAA INSURANCE in the month of May 2018 of last year and they would deal with my car INSURANCE for me. After Explain and doing so a few mins on the phone with a live rep that told me to take it up with the Momentum dealer himself Who so called sold me the car. I Explain to the rep on the on the other end of the phone that they shut down Fairfield Momentum cars dealership due to business financial problems. On top of all that 7 days later I finally get a call back from a lady rep from Nissan Consumer Affair. When talking about my car accident she start yelling and acting way very unprofessional yelling, I am closing the case for good, right after I told her Nissan Fairfield has closed down due to business problems. Can someone please help.
I initially took in my 2008 Nissan 350Z roadster convertible to Tony Nissan to have them repair the convertible roof because it is not fully closing into its compartment. They looked at it and eight hours later, said that they couldnt find anything wrong with it. They even showed me that it was working before leaving.Later that day, I wanted to test it out for myself. And much to my dismay, the same problem occurred. Being busy with work, etc., I wasn’t able to take it back in immediately. I was under warranty and thought I had time (my mileage at the time was under 36K). When I took it again (about a month and a half later) stating that it was not fixed, they tried to charge me for $350.00 just to look at it because now, my warranty had expired. I was under the impression that my warranty was going to expire at 60K or five years. Of course, I refused to pay that outrageous fee and left.I then returned at Tony Nissan with my husband and he demanded to speak to a manager. They looked at my vehicle at no cost but said they needed to contact Nissan corporate to get an approval to cover the cost of the repair. Three weeks thereafter, Nissan denied my claim stating that 1) I didnt have enough history with maintaining my vehicle and 2) my warranty is expired. This is such an incredible injustice for Nissan should have fixed the problem initially while my vehicle was under warranty. My vehicle is maintained immaculately with regular oil changes, etc. I intend to sue Nissan corporate and Tony Nissan to recoup the costs to repair my vehicle. Furthermore, I will not trust any brand with the Nissan name.
Have not had to use it on this Nissan yet, but have used it on an older Nissan and it cover an expense of $1000. We took the warranty on this vehicle because we believe it will come in handy. We have 7 years or 120k miles.
I received a notification of a recall of my Nissan Versa and told to rent a car from Enterprise. I only carry liability on my Versa, its not in great shape. Was told by Nissan I would have to cover comprehensive insurance on rental. The date for replacing airbag is May 2018. I live on disability and cannot add this into my budget. I chose to rescind the service and take my chances. I adore Nissan products and am disappointed by this.
My credit is good so I financed my new 2016 Nissan Rogue at my credit union with no trouble. A couple of weeks later, I mistakenly pumped diesel fuel in my new car. It happened at Sheetz. They say it cant be done and the nozzle wouldnt fit. They finally said it is Nissans fault. Nissan passed me around from one customer service person to another. It appears to be a game with them. They seem to have a lot of customer service people who will call you and ask you a few questions just to have someone else call you. It definitely is a way of looking like they are paying attention to you but the result is they wont do anything to help you. Besides that problem that same day, I tried to use Nissan roadside assistance which I had been told I should have, when it happened. My tow charges were more because they said I didnt have it when I tried to use it and I was forced to call 911. I understand I made a mistake but that nozzle fit right into my car and the only way I saw what had happened was when my car stalled and I read my receipt. Anyway, both Nissan and Sheetz first said they would help but then wouldnt. Dont buy a Nissan. There is no customer service. They will just waste your time. Reference telephone for Nissan **. I think it is time to run these foreign vendors out of the US since they wont take any responsibility for the faulty design of their cars.
Hello Im owner of dealership for past 12 years. I been we sell all models of cars but I will never ever ever ever buy another Nissan with cvt transmission. They are nothing but junk junk junk. Past 5 years I have purchased over 20 Nissan Altima or Rogue or Sentra with cvt transmission. Same day I sell, second day I have to tow the car back to lot. Please dont give Nissan Corporation money even if your car goes bad. Dont make no more payment on piece of ** Nissan junk.
Had my car a year (Altima 2016 used) and it’s out of warranty. When purchasing the car I asked for an extended warranty and the finance manager declined me stating that I was not in a position to receive the extended warranty that I was lucky that I was even approved for the car. I had to beg for GAP and he made me pay for my GAP cash upfront $500. Also when I called my finance company to see if they had additional options they stated that those instruction about extended warranty was not true that they would have went through another company not them. At that point I did not understand why the finance manager had me lie to the finance company about the type of car I was receiving if I would not be covered. Basically I was taken advantage of and it worked on their end because now I am screwed out of a car unless I come up with the funds to fix the issue. Nissan said it’s nothing they can do, You have to buy a $3500 transmission. I do not know much about repair to cars but my car is calling for a sensor and Im not sure why my sensors cannot be replaced vs the entire transmission!Call Consumer Affairs and they had an attitude. Told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. I will be taking this to the next level. My voice will be heard and something will be done. I would have never spent my money with them knowing I would have to deal with such poor service and attitude! Please do not put yourself in my situation stay away from Nissans (CVT) they are NO GOOD! Terrible customer service and they will do NOTHING to help you.
Stay away from Nissan. We purchased our certified pre-owned vehicle 8 months ago with 6,000 miles on it, and have had the check engine light come on 6 times. Each time, the Mass Air Flow Sensor being the error code. The dealership fixes it, but yet it keeps becoming a problem. The last time the check engine light came on, it stalled on the highway, nearly having us smashed by a tractor trailer. Yet, the dealership and Nissan continue to give us the run-around and refuse to cancel our loan, or provide us with a reasonable remedy, even after a formal complaint was filed. Do not buy any vehicle from Nissan.
****AVOID NISSAN.**** AVOID NISSAN.**** I hate writing about this, but I told them I would so I will. I bought a Nissan Versa about 5 years ago. I wish I had used Google and listened to my wife. If Id simply done a search I wouldve discovered a design flaw in the transmission from that period of vehicles. I thought, Hey, an import. Good on gas and reliable, right? ... Not this one.What I needed was a vehicle that will be good on gas, relatively comfortable and reliable. The car I had previously was a Toyota Echo. I drove it for 350,000 miles and sold it for $300. I never had any engine or transmission trouble at all. Being a design flaw problem, I asked Nissan for help twice. I got nothing. They said no for any help. I wouldve even gone for a 50/50 on their $3800 transmission. $1900 each? Cmon you multi-billion dollar automotive manufacturer!! The car has 164,000 miles on it and is now, an expensive paperweight.Knowing that I put about 2500 miles/month on my vehicles, you know that it is a good testing ground. No abuse, just many highway miles. It is in my professional opinion that Nissan ... sucks. I encourage everyone to avoid Nissan, not because I think all of their vehicles are crap, I dont, but because they DO NOT stand behind a product they KNOW is flawed from the beginning. Im off to listen to Deftones and look for another car now. (whispers) ... Nissan sucks.
I have been trying to make my monthly payment my Visa card. Apparently, the third party vendor that Nissan uses for collection DOES NOT accept a credit card as a method of payment in California, New York, Connecticut and other states. Why is Nissan using this Mickey Mouse third party vendor for collecting payments? Now my credit will be affected because of non-payment??? I am trying to make my payment but Nissan/BillMatrix will not accept my payment because BillMatrix does not accept credit cards in California! I have look through the papers I signed when I bought my Altima Coupe. Nowhere in the paperwork does it indicate that I cannot use a credit card to make a payment! Now whats wrong with that?
The Nissan van I have purchased is having problems with its digital dash board (distance, gas, hot/cold readout). I live in Washington, D.C. My vehicle will not pass inspection if they cannot see the mileage on my vehicle. Through discussing this problem with the vehicle inspectors in Washington, D.C. area, they have informed me that most Nissan made cars are experiencing this similar problem. I have also found other Nissan owners who are experiencing the same problems. I feel as though, since this is an important issue and it seems to be a common issue, that Nissan should fix this problem with either no or minimal charge.
Nissan quietly extended the warranty for the CVT (transmission) from 5 years/60,000 miles to 10 years/120,000 because of all the problems people are having, everything from shaking to accelerating at stop signs. Its a genuine safety concern. My wifes 2008 Nissan Rogue has the same problem. We took it in for service and they replaced the transmission. However, theyre charging us $2,700 for a new transfer case, a transfer case thats included in the original powertrain warranty that connects to the transmission. The mechanic at Nissan of Bourne in Massachusetts tried to tell me the problem started with the transfer case and not the transmission. I find this hard to believe since Nissan is obviously having issues with the transmission, or else they wouldnt have had to extend the original warranty.There is no reason why Nissan should be charging customers for their own substandard parts. To replace the transmission but not the transfer case which is part of the transmission, is flat-out dishonest. Now well have to spend money we dont have because Nissan wont live up to its own warranty on parts they know are bad. There shouldve been a recall in the first place for safety reasons, but Nissan is trying to mitigate their losses at the expense of their customers. This is not right and it should be addressed.
I bought a Certified Used 2010 Nissan Murano SL with 31,339 miles on 01/31/2013 from Crowley Chrysler Plymouth, Inc. I also opted for the Nissan Security Plus Extended Protection Plan when I bought the car. I am very happy with the car and all of the car’s features. It is exactly what my wife and I needed. I do, however, have one issue since buying the car.On 03/11/2013, I took the car in to my local dealer for routine servicing. The car had 34,099 miles at the time. The dealer asked if the car had its 30,000 mile servicing. I did not know, but I assumed the answer was yes since the car was certified. I had attempted to get the service records on the car from Crowley, but they declined to give them to me saying that there were privacy concerns giving me another client’s maintenance records (I thought this was odd at the time, but did not challenge it). My current dealer offered to check with Crowley service to see if the car did in fact receive its 30,000 mile servicing. The answer he got was no. So I requested that this servicing be done and also asked for the car to be inspected.Upon receiving my bill, I was a little shocked. The bill was $1,393.01! Here is what was done: 30,000 mile required maintenance per Nissan manual; the car needs 4 new tires to pass inspection. The rear two tires tread was below standard, and the front two were very close to being below standard. Since this is an all-wheel drive car, the dealers recommended that all four tires be replaced. I agreed; and the alignment was out on all four tires, therefore an alignment was required. Since I was buying a certified used car, I did not expect any of these issues to be present. Question: shouldnt these issues have been taken care of by the dealer that sold me the car? Resolution: after several conversations with Nissan, I was told that there was nothing that Nissan could do, and that I should try to work something out with the two dealerships.Nissan Certified Vehicles Program is a scam. It allows the dealership to ask more for a certified vehicle, but gives the client no assurance that they are getting something in the deal. Unless you are willing to check all of the 150+ items on the certified checklist prior to purchase, you will be holding the bag if something is wrong later. In my case, the rear tires were just in spec. (5/32) at the dealership where I bought the car and not able to be inspected (2/32) on my first visit to my local dealership a little over 2,000 miles later. Nissan did not stand behind their process and left me in the middle between two dealerships - a losing proposition for anyone finding themselves in this position.
I bought a Nissan as my first vehicle because my mother always had a Nissan. Her mother and father always had a Nissan. When it came time for me to buy a vehicle, I wanted to go with someone I could trust, who always provided quality cars and service. Is that a thing of the past? My 2011 Nissan Cube with a CVT transmission is a piece of junk! After just 5 years and 72000 miles the CVT needs to be replaced. The dealership is asking $5000 for the repair. More than Ive been able to save since buying my first car.Since this happened Ive found out about their 2015 lawsuit, and the warranty extension for 2010 cubes. The CVT is still a safety hazard, but after talking to them I found out that denying theres a problem, and me help, is more important than maintaining a generational chain of Nissan customers and loyalty. An auto manufacturer I can trust with my life is worth generational loyalty. When they know their CVTs have a problem, I know they have a problem, the entire internet knows they have a problem, then the only thing I want to do is pay my car off and find a new manufacturer I can trust, and be loyal to... Because its obviously not Nissan.
I purchased a NISSAN Altima and took a loan with Nissan motor. That was the worst mistake of my life. I had my system on auto pay with my bank using e-bill. One day their e-bill stopped hitting my auto-pay and they made me default on the loan for 30 days. It has spoiled my credit history. When I try to contact them and explain it, they don’t respond, don’t care and don’t even want to find out what had been wrong with their IT systems. Worst company do deal with. Better avoid it.
My lease was over and I turned in the vehicle, but Nissan and the dealers could not get together or work or cooperate on anything. Do I need an inspection? No, said Nissan because the dealership offered to buy the used car. According to the dealers, I do and they do it. Cool. They can inspect the vehicle when I turn it in. But then they dont, after all. NMAC and the dealership really jerk you around.During the lease, NMAC could not take my Visa for online payment, so I always had to send the check. After passing the inspection and escaping any costs, I was told Just turn in the vehicle, you have paid everything you owe. Three weeks later I was charged by NMAC almost $500 for a disposition fee! I have been a Nissan customer since 2001. I am pissed. I was considering leasing another Nissan in a few months. Screw that. Today, I do not want another Nissan vehicle ever. Merry Christmas, sucker, you owe us $500. What a way to screw your customers.
Done in a timely manner. Kept me apprised as the repairs went along. Checked to see if anymore could be done for me. If any issues came to let me know and get my opinion. Check out was easy and car was washed and the inside always had paper on seats and floor so it did not get dirty from the work they did. They smiled and I went on my way.
We bought a brand new Nissan Sentra 2013, have had problems with it and has been in to be repaired and told every time that that is normal. Problem 1: had rattling in dashboard. Told several times that is normal. Transmission doesnt always shift until you are 2 plus miles in, that is normal. Area around the door, that is normal (this is brand new car). The passenger seat belt will lock and you cannot move, have to unclasp and let it go all the way back and start fresh, that is normal. This doesnt happen every day. But come on, new and all this. We have been battling with this issue for over a year. Will not buy or tell anyone Nissan is anything but a high-risk car. We are senior citizens and cannot afford costly repairs, thus reason we bought NEW. Now trying to pay off and get Toyota, Honda, anything but NISSAN. We have had several other brand new cars and NEVER had a problem with them.
I have purchased 3 new Nissans and financed exclusively through NMAC (Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation). On one occasion, NMAC indicated that I was 30 days late on a payment. I had never been late on any of my other NMAC loans and explained that my check was mailed on-time like all the other payments. The credit department made it clear that there was no forgiveness for being late and never once gave me any benefit of the doubt. My opinion is it doesnt matter if you have never been late and its all about the money to them. If they give you bad marks on your credit (which last for 7 years), then the next time you finance via NMAC, they can charge you higher interest rates. Its a scam, so please be extra careful. Check and double-check any payment you make. Dont assume that NMAC is on your side. Hell, Nationwide is not even on your side, but Ill post that bad experience in another article. So it has been 6 years and 6 months, and the bad credit mark from NMAC should be dropped off at 7 years. I am in the market to buy a new car again, so I called their customer no-service department to see if they would give me a courtesy pass and remove the bad mark that they reported on my credit report. They created a case number, asked me to call back in 48 hours, and turned me down again. I will never buy another Nissan again. Note to the world, you can dispute an item on each of your credit reports (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion); and if NMAC doesnt respond within 30 days, by law, the item must be removed. The only way to teach Nissan and NMAC a lesson is to buy with one of their competitors. Also, if you happen to know someone or have the ability to get a message to Nissan headquarters in Japan, tell them that NMAC doesnt represent the company well. Tell them NMAC doesnt take into consideration your payment history before hurting their loyal customer base. That loyal customer base is certainly thinning out.
I just bought my Nissan Titan 2 weeks ago. It came off the delivery truck the day before I bought it. Well the steering wheel was on sideways, the bumpers were cockeyed, and the back window leaked heavily. Made 8 different trips to dealership, still not correct.
We regret dealing with and purchasing from this particular dealership. Our sales guy (AM) was fantastic. Knowledgeable, genuine, got us a deal. 5 stars for him. We do also like the Nissan brand. But the second you hand over the money, customer service stops abruptly and completely. Total breakdown. Something is always wrong or forgotten, every single time. Received a vehicle with no spare tire, broken windshield and peeled off window tint (and some other minor stuff). Now you may think ok, nbd, theyll fix it. Thats what we thought when we accepted the vehicle with deficiencies. And we thought that because thats what they said they would do. But they wont. We have been trying since May 10th....yes, almost 3 months. 3 months of ignored phone calls, not returning messages, having to go in numerous times to see them in person and we are no closer to having any of our concerns addressed.Id advise caution against Mark **, the finance manager. He is dishonest, disorganized and has given us false assurities many times. Him we regret dealing with the most. Id avoid dealing with Austin **, one of the managers. Same thing. Speaking with him can best be described as a complete waste of time. We have decided that we will no longer chase after them. Cant keep wasting time calling and driving over constantly. Weve lodged a complaint with Nissan Canada and BBB so hopefully something comes of that. We will fix the deficiencies elsewhere and pay for it, even though it was threatened that doing that will void our warranty. They love to hold you hostage. Long read, but hopefully it will save somebody from making the same mistakes we did. *If you refer to them, they dont actually pay a referral fee as advertised. That is a false advertisement.
Its been almost a month since paying my car off. Im still waiting to receive my title. Customer service is no help and gives little to no information. I will probably never buy another Nissan after this because their finance company is a 3 ring circus.
Ive been dealing with the same issue for over a year and a half. Every time I call to see if they have fixed the problem (after they have told me it will be fixed), they havent. I dont understand how a business can run without doing their job. Ive called at least 15 times and have been told every time it will be fixed. Ive even asked for a call back every time; not once have I gotten one back. After a year and a half, NMAC has impacted my credit score. I planned to purchase a home in September 2013 but will not be able to. My quality of life has been diminished severely due to this issue. I have lost sleep thinking about what NMAC has done to my credit and how I will have to pay for NMACs fault for years to come. I can honestly say I have never thought a car purchase would negatively impact my life like this. I can only imagine how many customers Nissan is losing due to NMAC.
I just bought a 2008 Nissan Rogue. Before making the first payment... My daughter was in almost a Fatality! I am very upset... as the steering Wheel locked up and put her head on into a tree. Although her broken bones...serious soft tissue injuries and everything else will someday heal... the emotional stress we have all been under since this accident..will never go away. I watch her cry everyday. I will never buy a Nissan again... but they are responsible... and should be held accountable. Car was totaled and if my daughter didnt have her seatbelt on she would be dead. The damage from the seatbelt is bad along with her fractures..but she is alive. Im very upset as she is and her mother. Not a scratch, bought less than 2 months ago.
The air bag sensor light came on at about 75,000 miles. Now at 98,000 and five trips to the dealer, it is still on. I have been told the parts are anywhere from $362 to $975. This is my second and last Nissan.
My husband and I bought a new Frontier with 11 miles. Before making the 1st payment the head gasket blew. Truck sitting in a lot in another state while they wait for parts, and scratching their heads trying to figure how that could happen. Of course we were given a free rental for as long as needed, but we have to return to California and leave the truck in Nevada. Nissan Reno have been very nice to us. I think they were worried about legal recourse which is our next step. Someone noticed a oil spot and asked what is that. Took it immediately to the dealer. Four days later they still do not know how what happened.
My car was bought brand new 2013 Nissan Sentra. The car has less than 68000 miles on it and the transmission has gone out. Nissan Corporation has been a complete nightmare to deal with. They will not stand by their cars even when there is a lot of complaints about this type transmission. I have filed a complaints. They are the worse company I have ever experienced.
I have spoken to my sales agent today and they have agreed to pay half the cost of the muffler. However mechanic did not support exhaust pipe when they said I could take it home, and when I brought it back immediately with the car making the most horrendous noise it could possibly be making, I was informed my catalac converter was now broken, and had to be replaced, however the warranty is going to cover this.
Cliff notes: No email available to communicate with the corporate office concerning warranty work. You have to use a call center that is slow, cumbersome, and not proactive. Wish we would have stuck with purchasing tried and true Chevy C2500, Ford F250, or RAM 2500 diesels. We purchased a 2018 Titan XD Pro4X (Diesel) truck for our small construction company. The specs matched our needs though the reviews were not as strong as we would have liked the price was appealing and the reviews were not terrible. The size was more comfortable than the C2500 and F250 we have in service.At 30K miles we received both ABS and 4WD warnings after traveling 300+ miles that day. The engine was fine just no 4wd or cruise control. The dealership advised we were fine to continue our trip and to come in when back in town or we could go to another dealership near us if time allowed. Over night the error reset. The dealer said to bring it in when back in town the computer would let them know what need to be repaired on the drive train.On our return trip the error happened again at around 350 miles and again over night it reset and was fine. The trip to the dealership was inconclusive and I was advise to drive around until the error happened again even though that might be over 300+ miles as 5 things might be causing the problem and they could not test each of those components to rule them out. That effort was too intense for them. Thus the call to corporate to report the dealer would not take action on what my local mechanic found on his diagnosis machine. What a run around. The non dealer shop received the P1819 Shift ACT CIR Malfunction detected in the transfer motor circuit error and advised that should be too touch for a certified mechanic to figure out.Finally I have convince the dealership they needed to do more for me and they are taking the truck back in and are prepared to trace back the error and replace the transfer case in the event it is the culprit. This was after I paid our local mechanic to diagnosis the problem and the local service manager had twice refused to perform further repairs until the truck failed again. The only response I can get from Corporate Nissan is to call them. When calling I am referred back to the dealer and am told they have no access to the dealerships efforts though we have Nissan Connect which reads what maintenance and system status in on the truck. Shame on us for choosing Nissan.
Transmission problems. They know about problems with their vehicles but don’t care. DO NOT make the same mistake I did. I have talked to several people that bought them and mechanics they agree, don’t BUY. I talked to their corporate office and they don’t care and won’t talk about the issue.
I came in to speak with someone about the paint peeling off my car. My car is a 2003 Nissan Sentra. I was told my complaint was denied due to it being 7 years old. Roof and trunk are peeling off. Car is well maintained, waxed 2 times a year. I feel that Nissan should at least fix this problem. This is my first new car, and I am disgusted with the way it know looks. I have been told by several body shops that this is a manufacture defect. Please think about this, Im ready to call turn to ten, Susan **. I dont come down to this, but I will. Thank You.
In November 2007 we bought our 1st and last Nissan. Against my better judgement, I relented and agreed to buy my wife her Nissan SUV. My reluctance was based on the cvt, which in my opinion was unproven technology. My fears were not unfounded. After 75000 miles of fair service the cvt issues began to manifest themselves in the form of a load clicking when cold. This load clicking is only under load or when car is in motion, also while cold there is a metallic screech or scraping noise on acceleration, and lastly a shuttering on acceleration from a stop as if hunting for the right gear to start out in.Wife took car to Mcgrath Nissan of Elgin Il for routine oil change as she always did, and asked to check for the noise, she was told “We can hear no noise but there is rust on your brake rotors and the rear pads are very low 1-2 mm. Do a brake job and see if your noise goes away. So I think for argument’s sake let’s do a brake job and eliminate their rederick. I performed a 4 wheel brake job pads, rotors, and hardware. Upon removal of said parts rear pads were actually closer to 5mm and fronts 10-11mm. But ok I bought the parts, let’s put them on. Guess what? Same noises and symptoms. Back to Mcgrath. Now we’re told $120.00 to diagnose problem.But that would go away if they found it to be cvt problem. I was confident they would find the problems to be the cvt and agreed.After letting car sit out and cooling down tech took for a test drive, and heard the clicking, and screech, but not the shuddering. It was his diagnosis the clicking is in the upper engine. Now how can this be if it only happens while transmission is engaged? We can pull the valve cover off and inspect the engine for $350.00. There may be varnish or sludge build up. The oil changes always performed on time, at your facility with your recommended oils how would this be possible? Well stuff happens Im told. How is it the noise only occurs while transmission is engaged? No answer. What about the screech? The tech said it is slight or faint and not bad enough for Nissan to warranty the problem. What good is a 120,000 mile cvt warranty if Nissan won’t honor it and repair a problem?In all fairness to Mcgrath Nissan they did waive the $120.00 charge for the inspection, when confronted with my disappointment in their product. And I do understand they dont want to get stuck with a repair that Nissan won’t reimburse them for. But at 76000 miles on a car to have a failure of the cvt that has been problems from day 1 for hundreds if not thousands of rogue owners, they obviously know there is an inherent problem with the first generation Rogue cvt’s as they redesigned them in subsequent years, and replace the catastrophic failures with the new design. There is no one in the world that can convince me that the Japanese manufacturers build quality is superior as I have had a similar experience with Toyota as well. MY advice is buy American, my friends.
I am the unproud owner of a 2013 Nissan Juke. This is my 4th vehicle and I have never experienced such issues out of a vehicle previously. First, I will say the vehicle doesnt even have 150,000 miles and but all issues (except the newest one) were all before hitting 100,000 miles. To start, I have gone through three cylinder replacements and thought the transmission was going to have to be replaced (luckily that bullet has been dodged so far). I believe all replacements were for misfires. These were all out of pocket and hundreds of dollars each time.Now my vehicle is sitting in a repair shop because the parts of the undercarriage are starting to rust. The best part is I went to get an inspection sticker and as the man turned my steering wheel, the ball bearing snapped in half so it cannot be driven. Obviously, I didnt pass the inspection. The mechanic said Im lucky that I didnt make a sharp turn getting my vehicle there or it couldve resulted in myself or someone else being badly hurt. This was the result of the rusting undercarriage. Do yourself a favor and run as far away from these vehicles as you can. Otherwise, keep thousands of dollars aside for unexpected and ongoing repairs.
I wanted a vehicle that would be low maintenance, fuel efficient, & nice to drive. Instead had disappointment after disappointment & not to mention poor customer service. Constant problem with the push to start button & Nissan dealer asking for $1000 to repair something that should be on recall. :(
I bought my Maxima new back in 2005. I recently started having transmission problems. The car only had 51,000 miles. I took it back to the service department next to the dealer I bought it from in New Jersey. They confirmed the transmission needed to be replaced. They also found the timing chain needed to be replaced. The service guys said both should not have to be replaced so soon with the shape the car was in and the low mileage. I opened a case with Nissan North America. They basically said warranty expired, so too bad. Then they told me to take it to the dealer for possible trade in. They would take care of me. Yeah, right. They offered nothing for the trade. Sales knew about tranny and timing chain. New car deal was nothing special. This was second and last Nissan. I have since bought a Kia Optima.
After seeing my check engine light came on the following week and went to take my Vehicle to Nissan South @ Morrow, GA. The attendant was cool and help me out the best that he can. He even suggested to me the findings of my vehicle, (which was a transmission problem) and if I had an extended warranty that could of fix it. Sorry to say for myself I didnt, so I am left with an 80,000 mileage 2015 vehicle with a transmission problem involving a transmission switch that needs to be replace and they refuse to touch it because it seals with the transmission and suggested that I either pay for a new transmission (4000 dollars) or have one rebuild. I am not happy with the findings cause I look at my vehicle as being a very durable vehicle under 100000 mileage and a transmission problem should not be in the mix. I have own a 1995 Toyota Camry with its mileage over 145000 and never had a transmission problem (probably would of still had it if someone did not hit into me on the road). To hear that Nissan vehicle is that unreliable make me question why my family supports them in the business. My cousins (4 of them), brother, myself, and other military friends and teachers have these vehicle made from Nissan and need to know; when the chips are down Nissan is not there for you to assist you in any way. They toss you aside like you are just another number to them. Their manufacture quality seems to be low and they dwell on customers paying extra for an extended warranty in order to fix their poor mechanical car issues. If I ever choose to get a car from them again it would be a while cause I have to make sure I am able to pay for their extended warranty.
Im on my second leased vehicle from Nissan, and until today, I have never had an issue with the vehicle and/or Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC). Last year, I decided to take a job out of state, and I brought the vehicle with me on a trailer. I called Nissan and informed of them my change of address as soon as I has settled in, so that the correct taxes were included on my monthly bill and any correspondence would be forwarded to my new address. I also inquired about early termination penalties since I knew I would be getting a company vehicle in 2016. I drove my Nissan for a few months, until my company car was available, and then it just sat in my garage. A couple of months after that, I decided I didnt want to keep paying insurance for a vehicle that I wasnt using, so I called NMAC and spoke to an agent about my options. This was sometime in February or March 2016 and my lease isnt up until December 2016. I was told by an agent (whose name I didnt write down) that I could return the vehicle after inspection and continue to make my automatic monthly payments until the end of my lease agreement. She arranged for AIM to come inspect the vehicle at my home and gave me instructions for the dealership. She was actually very helpful. Shortly after my inspection, I returned the vehicle to a nearby dealership and continued to make my monthly payments. However, on July 5, I received a letter from NMAC requesting the remaining balance on my account by July 16. I called the NMAC customer service number and was told by another agent that once I returned the vehicle to the dealership, my account was closed and my automatic payments were stopped. I offered to pay the 3 months of missed payments due to the oversight, and reinstate my automatic payments until the end of my lease agreement in December, but this apparently is not an option. The only option now is pay the remaining balance owed by July 16. If I do not make a payment by then (today is July 25), my account will be sent to collections. Had I known about this policy, believe me, I would not have returned my vehicle in April. I was provided incorrect information by the agent I spoke to in February or March of this year, and I am not being penalized for it. I didnt receive a letter informing me of the situation, prior to this one, because the letters were being sent to my old home address. However, my cell phone number (primary number on my account) has never changed. In the 5 years I have been leasing a vehicle from Nissan, I have never missed a payment, and now I am going to be sent to collections for trying to do the responsible thing. This is not how you treat a loyal customer. I find it ridiculous that a company would rather pay a collection agency to set up a monthly payment schedule with their customer, than work with them in the first place to come to an understanding. All I want to do is keep paying my bill responsibly, as I have been for the last 5 years I have leased a vehicle with Nissan. NMACs intransigent attitude is not good customer service. I for one, will never buy or lease a vehicle from Nissan again.
I have videos of my son seating in the seat and the air bag light stays on. I had Nissan look it over twice and they say there is no problem. My son weighs 120 lbs. and Nissan says he is not heavy enough. So Im trying to be proactive to get this fixed but with no answers. I want to know if there are other problems out there that Nissan maybe covering up.
To say Im disgusted would be an understatement. On Saturday when I tried to leave my house my car was humming and driving slow so I assumed the oil was low. I went to have the oil changed and it drove fine for the rest of the day. Monday it started acting up again so I added transmission fluid and did some research online and noticed that Nissan was extending the warranty on the CVT transmission (obviously others were having issues). Im being told now by Nissan that my warranty is VOID since I added transmission fluid. Really?? First of all no one even contacted me. I had to find out when the car starting acting up by doing my own research. If you are shopping for a car DO NOT get a NISSAN. The way they treated me today was horrible. Nissan Consumer Fair showed the worst customer service today, but I guess they carry themselves the way Nissan does.
I found my Versa Hatchback door lock does not work two years ago. I asked Nissan service person, and answer is the mileage was out of warranty.
We have a 2008 versus with a CVT-transmission that went bad at 120956 mileage. Faulkner Nissan diagnostics stated trans needed to be replaced for 3300.00. The extended warranty was for 12000 miles. We contacted Nissan to ask for partial assistance and waive the 956 miles. Our request was denied by Rachael from consumer affairs who states she makes the decisions to grant customers request or not. She stated that our vin-number was not included in the extension which is not true according to Nissans website. Ms. Rachael wanted us to have car re-diagnosed for 100.00 knowing she had already decided to decline assistance based on the false information about the vin - number not being included.
I had to have my 2009 370Z towed to the dealership twice. The dealership did not know the cause and the car just started after some testing. They released the car not knowing if it would do it again. 1-2 weeks later, on a Monday morning, the car did not start after my appointment with a client. The dealership, after weeks of review, could not test out or get the car started. In the meantime, I am working with a gal at consumer affairs. I told her what happened, and a week she called back stating they are not accepting the claim as if it were an owner maintenance issue and 3 months out of warranty. As we found, it was an electrical something in the steering column locking the car down as if it were being stolen. This is certainly not an owner maintenance issue and the car was only at about 32,000 miles. This little bit of time did not affect the outcome and certainly not the mileage. The problem is Nissan did not want to stand behind a known problem in other vehicles with the similar theft deterrent systems, but also because of the cost of replacing the whole steering columns - $1,200 plus. Welcome to my first Nissan experience. I will not buy another.
I purchased a 2018 Nissan Murano with 14k miles on it in Feb 2019 with full warranty. It was the first time I had bought a used/program car and it will be my last. In mid-July the sunroof started experiencing an issue when closing it. Id press the button to close the sunroof and it worked fine until it got to the front and instead of closing it would kick back open. I took it to the local dealer and they thought it would be a simple fix to change out the motor. Fast forward to now and 3 motors later and still NO RESOLUTION. Im now at DAY 50 of not having my vehicle back or fixed.The dealership tells me they are not getting support needed from Nissan Tech Engineers, have tried 3 different motors and nothing is working. Last Friday I reached out to Nissan Consumer Affairs because the dealership is getting nowhere and they inform me there will be ANOTHER 10-day wait until while they act as liaison between myself and dealership. The communication on both ends has been horrible and its completely unacceptable for them to have my car for almost 2 months with no resolution in sight. The service experience between the dealership and corporate has been a nightmare and I will never buy a Nissan again. The rep at Nissan Consumer Affairs sounds like shes reading off a script and also made it sound like it was my fault for not reaching out sooner. Up to this point Ive always trusted my local dealership and I believed they were working diligently on my issue. It appears Nissan just doesnt want to replace the entire track for the sunroof under warranty... Maybe they are fighting about who is going to pay for it. All I want them to do at this point is to buy this car back so I can move on. Im so done. It shouldnt take 2 months to fix a sunroof.
First my brake module failed which by the way is an $1100. Part only covered under extended warranty... After leaving from this repair the same day I went to get gas and the gas pump valve at the gas station kept clicking closed like the tank was full when it was not. I thought it was the gas pump at the station. Went to another one and figured out that it was the truck. Took it back immediately and it was not covered... In a miraculous coincidence if you believe in those I received an notice from Nissan two days after the repair that there was an issue now covered under extended warranty for a gas vent tube... In the letter they described the exact symptoms I was having but when I inquired they would not cover the problem because it was the valve and not the tube. Sorry Nissan but you dont get a pass on this one. When you purchase a vehicle you should be able to put gas in it no matter how old it is... Ridiculous.
My car has been at Nissan for about 3 weeks and still nothing but additional charges being added from the battery to the Transmission. Also was told basically my headlight issue will never be fixed because they want to charge 2k for lights and thats not included the 1200 they already want to charge me!! It really makes no sense. I will find additional forums to complain on until Nissan understands my frustration and stop trying to charge me for the labor to fix something that should not be broken.
Route 23 AutoMall was pleasant when I purchased the lease on my Nissan Maxima, however when my lease was over and I needed to return the car, everything was different. I purchased my lease at Route 23 AutoMall in NJ and then moved to Rhode Island. However, when my lease term was over, I returned my car back to Route 23 AutoMall where I originally purchased the car. Once a customer, always a customer, think again!Route 23 AutoMall lied about willingness of returning out-of-state license plates to the DMV and instead, salesperson ** kept them in their desk drawer. This action resulted in property tax from Rhode Island for 3 months when I no longer had the car. Returning the plates to RI DMV is the only indicator to stop property tax from being generated. I am seeking $148 from dealership to cover the timeframe (June-August) where I no longer owned the car, but was being charged taxes because salesperson kept the plates in their office and had me believe they were going to mail them back to Rhode Island. I purchased a Versa in January 2012, it has been back to the Pat Peck Nissan four times, all to no avail. They replaced the stick shift two times and then the third time told me it had a recall and assured me that it would work after this time. Of course it still isnt working. When I get into my vehicle it may take me up to 30 minutes to get it into gear to even go anywhere. I purchased a new car because I wanted reliable transportation. Well, Nissan isnt a reliable transportation. I wouldnt recommend this vehicle to my worst enemy. The customer service is awful, everyone lies to your face. I am appalled at the whole situation. Whatever happened to making the customer happy?
I purchased a 2009 Nissan Rogue, new. I have owned this car for 10 years, and have paid through the nose for control arms and wheel bearings. August 4th 2015 my transmission overheated on the 400, kicked into safe mode from Cruise control and almost got us run over by a transport. It was repaired with an accessory oil cooler by Nissan two weeks later. Same thing happened 2 days ago on a trip back from Lemington. I have under the 200,000 km, but am 1 month over my warranty. So, I have been in talks with Nissans customer care department. My warranty was up July 30th. The band aid fix for my transmission on August 5th 2016 has failed 1 month after the warranty was up...imagine that. It was a pretty car. Its pretty worthless now. Seriously think over your purchases....I now have no trade value.
I had contacted Nissan regarding a shift lever failure on my 2008 Rogue. After sending in my information and then getting a reply from Nissan today, 9/7/12, (after several attempts to contact anyone), I was told by Nissan that they cannot help me with any financial help or warranty due to the part is not covered by any drivetrain warranty. As this part is not considered a drivetrain part and I am at 60,109 miles (1,009 miles over the 60,000 drivetrain warranty). It was added, additionally, that another main reason I was denied any help is I was told that I do not take my car to Nissan for any service, therefore, they cannot help me at Christopher Nissan in Woods Cross Utah. This sends a message to me that since I do not spend money at Nissan, there is not much they feel responsible for. I did have my CVT transmission serviced there as I feel it was important for the extended warranty to have it serviced. $180 on a transmission service that should only have cost no more than $75. I do my own maintenance on my cars and have completed the service needed on oil changes and rotating tires, etc. So Im not spending money at Nissan rubes wrong. From my view, the part that failed has nothing to do with service or maintenance and what I have spent at the dealer. It is related to the quality of a component. If anyone at Nissan would take time to read internet reviews on this subject, they would conclude there are many questionable concerns about this part on the Rogue and other Nissan models.So if this has come to a close about me not spending more money with Nissan to service my vehicle, I accept this and will not spend any more money with Nissan going forward. There are plenty of choices for me to where I spend my money and what car I buy. Signed, David **, one unhappy customer.
My 2009 Nissan Versa has been a mechanically sound vehicle so far. My complaint has to do with the door locks. First, it was my hatchback. Couldnt open it from the outside. It is quite a task to have to climb in the back seat, reach over and manually open the rear hatch. I take my car to the dealer and I am told it is the door actuator, in other words, the electronic component that makes the door open. This was by no means an inexpensive repair. $327.00 to be exact - that was January. July comes around and my little Nissan Versa has 73,000 well maintained miles on it. Click, click. Oh NO! Now my passenger door on drivers side will not open, not even from the inside (thats safe). Once again, here I go to the dealer. Yes maam, it is the door actuator again... cheap ** parts. This time it was $522.00. The service rep had called to tell me that the mechanic may have to break the door panel because he couldnt open the door from the inside. I replied, Isnt he a certified Nissan mechanic, and he assured me he was. I told him if he broke it he was going to pay for it. Thats why I took it to the dealer (West Covina) so this wouldnt happen. The mechanic was able to get the door panel off without breaking it. I wonder if Nissan thinks that these problems with door actuators are a safety hazard as well as an expensive burden on its customers. I understand that these components will go out at some point in time but my car is only 5 yrs old. Nissan, you really should take a look at these parts. They are dangerous, cheap, and a financial burden on your customers... If I wasnt through paying for my car, I would trade it in, not for a Nissan.
Bought Rogue in April of 2011. It is a 2011 model. Car was BRAND NEW! Approx. 8-12 months later, noticed transmission making high-pitched whining sound. Call Nissan, Norwich, CT where I had purchased vehicle. Was told that the noise was normal for the CVT transmission. So I didnt worry about it after that. Finally in May of 2014, I really thought the transmission wasnt right. I brought it in and paid Norwich Nissan 116.00 diagnostic fee. Was given invoice/statement saying that the transmission had been checked and that no problems were found and that no service needed. Then in November, my transmission suddenly stopped working, and I barely made it home. I was furious! I took it to a local trusted mechanic and he told me the transmission was shot and had been going for a long time! I contacted Nissan Corporate Consumer Affairs and it took over a month of phone calls back and forth for them to finally tell me that that would claim no responsibility because the car was too far out of warranty (82,000 miles). When I first asked Nissan about the car, it probably only had about 24,000 on it. Then in May when they checked the transmission, it had 70,000 miles. I did some research and found several other customers whose transmission had died around 70 - 72,000 miles just like mine. DON’T TRUST NISSAN......VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IF THEY KNOW YOURE RIGHT! I will continue to seek legal action against this company. In the meantime, Ive bought a Mazda, so far very happy with. Am in the process of trying to sell my 30,000 dollar Rogue (now worth about $6,000 without a transmission!).
I purchased a lemon vehicle. The Nissan dealer is not admitting they are at fault. The vehicle purchased is a 2008 Nissan Versa 4dr Hatchback. Since the odometer read 11000k miles, the vehicle started acting up with the fuel system. There are records to back this information regarding reoccurring service with the same problems in the system. A few times they have replaced the fuel pressure regulator along with the pressure pump, sometimes stalling out in the middle of the intersections causing a hazard on the road. I have asked the dealership to exchange the vehicle due to its fleet defects. Again, no response or solution.
I purchased a New 2016 Nissan Rogue with 3 miles on it on December 13, 2017 from Clay Cooley Nissan in Irving Tx, 3-4 months into the purchase I start having an issue. While driving the O/D light comes on by itself, the RPMs rise, the car revs high and drives rough. I have read it is a possible transmission or computer problem. I have taken the car to the original dealership of purchase and another one to get checked out. They both claim they have driven the car, hooked it up to their machines and dont see the error. But as soon as I get the car back the issue repeats itself. They told me I need to bring the car to them when it happens which is hard because it happens at random on my way to work, school, and other daily activities. The dealerships are either too far to make it or outside of normal business hours.I complained and reached the sales manager J **. He prompted me to come down and they would trade me out of the vehicle into a new one and keep my payments the same! A complete LIE, I get there and they pump me up, “This is going to be painless. We will get you in & out,” and start asking me for a money for a down payment and try and put me in an Altima which is not what I purchased originally.After getting upset, I leave in the same messed up car. NO HELP. Just a full tank of gas and one of the managers says, “Well the car still drives so just keep driving it and when the error happens switch the gear. Itll go off.” So he wants me to pay for a car that is clearly giving me trouble and just drive it and jerk it around and keep rolling! Then says drop it off at service when I just picked the car up. How many times do I have to leave the car and be without a car to drive? I am disgusted and disappointed by the service I have received. This was my first time treating myself to a NEW car and it was a complete mistake. I hate Nissan. The car still has the issue, nothing resolved.
I bought my 2000 Nissan Maxima new and just after the three-year mark and at about 27,000 miles I got an SES light. I took it to the dealer and they told me all 6 ignition coils needed to be replaced. I was in shock. How can all 6 be bad on a car with only 27,000 miles. I asked if there was a recall or if the parts were defective. All they said was to call Corporate Nissan! When I did I got blown off. They said since my car was past the warranty period they were not responsible for anything. I was out of luck. I said maybe they could make an exception because this was not something that normally happens. They would not budge. I was stuck and what made me really angry was that these parts had to be ordered through the dealer and they were on back order. I tried AutoZone and online but no luck. The parts took about 5 weeks to come in since there was a shortage of these parts. This was very common for this year and model car. I had to rent a car for this period and ended up spending a total of $1600 including the rental car. This was a nightmare I will never forget. A very good example of very poor customer service. Leave your customer stuck and say we cant do anything for because we do not have to. Excellent way to make your customer say I will never buy another Nissan product again. I actually had to call the customer rep because she did not return my call. I left her a message saying thanks for nothing and calling me back like you said you would. It was not her fault but she could have returned my car with courtesy and respect even though there was nothing Nissan would do for me. I really felt that there should have been a recall but they took the cheap way out. Better to lose a few customers than to shell out bucks to help customers with a manufacturer defect. The sad part is that after all that I went through, I still have this car today. It has 172,600 miles and is still running good. Still will not buy another Nissan because of this bad experience. I had to replace 3 O2 sensors, MAF sensor, radiator, alternator, starter, thermostat, front axle, dimmer switch, front struts.
CVT failed on our 2012 Versa with 67000 miles. Nissan will not provide any assistance with the $4000 failure. Apparently they were losing too much money repairing these transmissions and decided to turn the problem into a profit center. Now they are having problems sourcing a replacement! Chrysler used the same Jatco transmission in three of their vehicles, but discontinued use because of the problems. I didnt realize at the time but my Jeep patriot company vehicle which also had a transmission failure uses the same transmission. Two rules for buying a car: 1. Make sure its not a Nissan 2. Dont buy if it has a Jatco transmission.
I have been very disappointed with Nissan and Bob Richards Nissan. My airbag light came on (not flashing). I was told that I had a sensor in the seat of the passenger that had gone bad. I was told that you could not replace the sensor only, but that you had to replace the whole seat to the tune of $4,300. My car doesnt even have electronic adjustments on the seat. After much discussion with Bob Richards Nissan and North Augusta, South Carolina and with consumer affairs for Nissan, I was told that I was out of warranty and that my extended warranty did not cover this. I am shocked that Nissan would not stand behind a safety feature on my car.I was told that my car had 90,000 miles on it, actually it has 99,090 miles on it and it was out of manufacture warranty. When I pick the car up I brought to their attention that my airbag light was not on anymore. I asked them did they disconnect something to cause the lights to go off and they said no that they could not do that. I told them that my light was not on anymore. One of the service guys said to the other one cant we just turn it back on. The other service guy said no we cannot do that. The technician who has been working on the car had reset the light and now it is off. I have driven about 60 miles and so far the light has not came back on. So, do I have a problem or not? What if I had given them $4,300 and did not even need to be fixed. The service guy wrote on my paperwork that he knew that the light has gone off and that the repairs still needed to be done. Well does it? I am very disappointed that Nissan or Bob Richards Nissan would not stand behind the safety feature on my car. I asked the service guy how many times something had to go bad on cars in order to have a recall on a feature, especially a safety feature. He said he did not know. I will never buy a Nissan again. I drove a Toyota Camry prior to this car and it had two hundred and eighty nine thousand miles on it in order to have a recall on a feature, especially a safety feature. He said he did not know. I will never buy Nissan again. I drove a Toyota Camry prior to this car and it had 289000 miles on it when I gave it to someone else and it is still on the road today. Next time I will buy Toyota, but not from Bob Richards Toyota. Again, I am disappointed and disgusted that a seat would cost $4,300.
Highly recommend you reconsider ever doing business with this company because they 100% do not care about customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, customer problems with their vehicles... Wont work with you to find a solution when they sell you a faulty product. Do NOT abide by their customer warranties. Its been 9 months of absolute hell with a brand new 2020 Altima. Completely appalled at the atrocities this company allows. Had so many repetitive issues they failed to fix and their only solution was that I trade it in so they could get MORE money from me! Completely disgusted with the dealership, consumer affairs and arbitrations.
Most horrible experience I’ve ever had buying a car. The dealership wasn’t the best to deal with but the fact that Nissan itself is selling cars that it is knowingly putting out there that the transmissions aren’t going to work or last for even the life of a loan is absolutely pathetic as the transmission has now went out in my 2016 Nissan Sentra and I still owe over 15,000 on the car. I have no warranties to help me. It’s not part of the lemon law. Why? I don’t know. It’s built the same year those transmissions where nobody can explain to me why it’s not part of the lemon law and what makes it even worse Is one we were being sold the car. That’s all they sold was the transmission and how this new transmission was going to revolutionize the industry. I wouldn’t fill that shift, my fuel economy would go up etc. etc. and from day one it’s been nothing but a nightmare. The dealership nor Nissan has been willing to help me. I had previously owned Nissan’s and got 300,000 miles out of them that’s why I came back to you guys after this purchase. I will never even look at another Nissan again regardless of maker model.
Contacted NISSAN about a bad CAT. Car is slightly over the 80,000 warranty, but vehicle was bought as a dealers demo and was told the 8,000 miles already on the car will not count against me so a full warranty will go with the car. NISSAN dealer refuses to do repair. NISSAN USA will not accept responsibility and inform dealer to perform under warranty. Go to dealer and let him diagnose, then call us and we will decide. They are refusing to talk to dealer or get involved in any shape, form, or manner.
I leased a brand new 2017.5 Nissan Rogue SV AWD Premium Package in July 2017. My vehicle traded was a 2015 Rogue (same model) I had hit my mileage on a year early. Not only was I pleased with my 15, but I spent 2 years as a Nissan employee, and I retain the Nissan Visa card. I would say Im a pretty good customer and supporter. In 6 months and 7k (now 8k) miles, my Rogue has had the radio/navigation system fully replaced! My Rogue has also been TOWED into the dealerships service department! I work nights. It was Christmas Eve. The car never made it to work. Of course, 3 days later after the holiday, the Rogue worked fine and the mechanics could not duplicate the issue. A diagnostic test showed a possible air flow problem... which I read about in another review... but they really have no idea. I am a single mom, on a check-check basis, and one reason I lease is to avoid maintenance! I cry all the time in my car. I am frustrated. Every time I start the Rogue I wonder what will happen next. I have lost confidence in this vehicle. I filed a claim with Consumer Affairs. I have received 2 emails from the gal stating she has tried to reach me multiple times by phone but I have no missed calls, voicemails, nothing, and the number(s) is saved in my phone. I have responded to these emails but then have not heard back from her. In the last week, I have called her DIRECT line 5x leaving my contact phone number 2x every message. I have gotten voicemail each time. Since December 26, 2017 I have called Nissan Consumer Affairs 8x. I should not have to be dealing with this regarding a vehicle purchased brand new not 7 months ago. Certain staff members at the dealership have been as helpful as they possibly can be but they have limitations which I understand. At least theyre on my side. Nissan seems to think this entire issue is a game. Its not. I live in Columbus, Ohio. We do not have major public transport opportunities. I cannot afford a chauffeur, I cannot afford taxi cabs or Uber. Nissan needs to step up.
I took my vehicle in for an oil change and 60,000 mile tune up. For prevent measures the service technician advised me to have my transmission replaced. When i picked up the vehicle, I noticed within 5 miles a popping noise and hesitation during acceleration. The consequence was I had to take the vehicle back to Nissan and was told at that time that the Transfer Case had to be replaced, unneeded service and unneeded out of pocket expense. For both the corporation and myself.
I purchased my new Nissan in 2001. I bought it outright from a dealer in NJ. I have had several major problems with this truck since I purchased it. The first was the gas tank rusting and emitting fumes in the cab. Every time I filled the tank the smell was terrible inside and outside the cab. I contacted Nissan several times and they refuse to do anything at all. This cost over a $1000.00 dollars. A year later my oil pan rusted badly and was ready to fail and I had that replaced. That cost $900.00. My electric blue paint started peeling on the side of the truck for no reason at all and continues peeling. If I choose to have it repainted that will probably be $2000.00. I wont ever purchase another Nissan and I encourage anyone who is thinking of buying one, DONT!! You will be very disappointed. They dont care about their product or customer service. In two words, they suck!!!
I have a 2012 Versa with numerous paint chips all over the vehicle. Consumer Affairs told me to have the dealer document it, which I did. They then said it was environmental and unless the manufacturer deemed the paint is defective, they cannot help. I have never had a new car chip so easily and I am convinced its due to poor paint and/or clear coat.
I purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima a year and half ago with 33,000 miles on it. The car is now at 74,000 miles and the transmission goes out. I got a check engine light on 05.20.2016 and the car would not start on 05.21.2016. I called and spoke to a Nissan Rep, with no comfort or remedy. I had to get my car towed to a mechanic, who confirmed the transmission was a bust. I searched the internet for reviews, and to my surprise, there were 100s of complaints and experiences just like mine. I dont get it Nissan... I thought you were one of the BEST... But disappointingly you the WORST!!!
After contracting for a 2016 Nissan NV200 in April, my husband was taken critically ill within two weeks prior to the vehicle being delivered. Although I know Bob Bell had no legal obligation to assist me, I contacted the GM and requested the deal be voided, as I no longer had the financial position to pay for the vehicle. I also contacted Nissan Motor Corporation. I received no consideration or assistance from either the dealer or Nissan Corporation. Although I was a repeat customer, and a member of the Baltimore, MD community - I was told the deal could not be reversed, even though I had not taken delivery of the van. I offered to have Bob Bell keep my trade in - which was for sale through their used car inventory with no refund to me - as my contribution to the situation, in addition to providing another $2,000.00 to avoid any dealer loss. Nothing. I can only assume I had so overpaid for the van that even before delivery, my trade in profit and an additional $2,000 was still too little for Bob Bell to make on a non-sale. Both Nissan Corporation and Bob Bell Nissan in Baltimore should rethink their commitment to the buying community that has made them successful.
I purchased my 2013 Nissan Pathfinder SV on 9/25/14 from Miller Nissan In Fairfield CT. It was not disclosed that the vehicle had 3 previous repairs for the transmission. I brought the car in on 10/13/14 and was told it needed a new transmission since this was the 4th time trying to repair the issue. Upon pulling the records for the vehicle, it was shown that the previous owner had been in numerous times for the transmission. The first date the transmission was reprogrammed was 12/5/12. The car was sold to the previous owner in 2014 and on 3/29/14 she reported a bucking with the car. They reprogrammed the transmission at this point. She did not have the vehicle from 3/29-3/31/14. She returned again on 4/2/14 with the same complaint bucking. She returned again on 4/4/14 and they reprogrammed the transmission again. She did not have her vehicle from 4/4/14-4/25/15 (mileage 6127). She had at some point returned the vehicle to Miller Nissan. I went in to buy the vehicle 9/22/14 and they put in the leather as I requested ($1500). On the repair order it also stated that they should check the transmission for shudder on access. I went in on 9/25/14 and picked up the vehicle and NONE of this information was given to me. I purchased the vehicle and 2 weeks later brought it in on 10/13/14 with 13,316 miles on it because of a heavy shudder and shaking. They replaced the transmission at this point with 13,983 miles on it. I was not happy, spoke to all the managers at Miller Nissan, 6 months pregnant with my 3rd child, Not having my car for 15 days. They said there was nothing they could do. Basically I was sold the car under a lie about the transmission because I specifically asked about the transmission and was NOT TOLD that it had been in previously 3 times for the issue. On 2/18/16 I brought in the vehicle due to recalls and they reprogrammed the transmission again at that time. I did not have my car from 2/18-3/18/16. Again Very pregnant and I had my baby on 3/2/15. I contacted Nissan 9/11/17 regarding transmission issues again. I went into the sales department to try to see if they would take my car in and get me a new one to fix the issue they created by selling me a car that had known transmission issues that were not disclosed. The salesperson and manager wanted me to put in another 5K into the car I wanted to purchase and raise my monthly payments, not only throwing away that already $10,000 I paid on the car but also putting more money into it. I walked out and told them I would contact Nissan corporate which I did on this day to open a case. I went back on 9/14/17 because of the transmission issues that had been ongoing and they advised me that I needed another transmission replacement.I asked for a big rental car for my 3 kids and they said they did not have one. Finally after complaining and leaving no choice to them they got me into an Enterprise rental. I did not have my vehicle from 9/14-9/22/17. I picked up my vehicle last Friday and drove it over the weekend and it drove worse than when I dropped it off. I called Nissan, when in the meantime I was in contact with ConsumerAffairs in an attempt for Nissan to buy back this car upon which I was denied. I called Miller Nissan and brought my car back in on Friday, 9/29/17 and they provided me with a rental with took 2 hours for them to get for me. No one called me on Friday and when I called they advised they were still working on the car and that they found another transmission issue. I got a call today 9/30/17 and they advised me they attempted to reprogram the car and it did not fix the issue so they had to take it apart and install new parts to the transmission and needed to look at the torque converter along with other issues. This car is CLEARLY A LEMON. Nissan needs to make this right. This is not fair to me and my family and our well being and safety is being compromised by this car. I will be without my car again until next week again. This just shows this car is NOT FIXABLE and will continue to have issues with the transmission. Neither Miller Nissan nor Nissan USA is resolving this issue.
I have tried to open an online account to make lease payment 3 times. Every time, there is some issue. This time they wanted my account number. I dont walk around with my account number, and the letter they sent, has a lease number, which I guess, is not the same. When I called the cust. service number, I was put on hold so long, I finally hung up. In any event, you can bet your life that they would not of given me acct. number over the phone anyway. I like my new car, but being in cust. service myself, I find it laughable that I cannot find good cust. service anywhere. Based on these three call, which took up 3 lunch hours to try and complete, I WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER NISSAN, NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM EITHER... LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE SALE... Typical!!!
In the past, I have owned two Nissan cars, a 1992 Sentra and a 2004 Murano, both paid in full. Well, in 2012, the transfer case/transmission went out on my Murano and the cost to get it repaired was going to be over $3,500 plus labor. Because of lack of income and I just started to work as a caretaker, I could not afford to get it repaired at that time (I loved my Murano). I had to check online and found there are so many people that had problems with the transfer case on their Murano (I do not know why Nissan has never done a recall). Since October 2012, I have been renting a car at Enterprise, which I was paying over $1,081.00 a month. So if you do the math, I have been giving Enterprise, over $8,600 for the last 8 months. So, I had been praying about what to do and since I was paying this money every month, I thought I would try to go to Nissan dealership in Victorville, California to see if they would help me get a used car. I was looking around and a salesperson asked me if I needed any help, I told him that I was looking for a used car. I explained to him my financial situation and what was going on with credit. He went and got another salesperson; they went and got a sales manager and they did the numbers. I told them that I could afford to pay $400.00 a month. Next thing I was told go and test drive a 2013 Nissan Sentra. I told them that I did not want to have very high payments. Well, I was told that my payments would be around $400 plus a month. When we got back from test driving, the salesperson told me the black Sentra which was on the show floor would be the car that I would drive off with. I told them that my credit was not good, but they told me that I did not have to worry about anything. So, on May 10, 2013, I drove off in a brand new car from Valley Hi Nissan in Victorville. Well, to my nightmare; on June 14, 2013 I received a call from Mr. George ** one of the finance managers. Nissan had denied my loan because I could not show even funds in my bank account. I told him that if Nissan would have looked at my statements carefully, they would have seen that all my funds were going to Enterprise every week to cover for the car I was renting from them. I told them that if they did the numbers, they would see how much I was spending every week. Mr. ** told me that Nissan did not care about me renting a car; they wanted to see the funds in the account. I told him, How can I keep the funds in the account, if I am renting every week? He told me to bring the car back to the dealership in Victorville. I am very upset with this whole situation because Nissan never gave me an opportunity to even make one payment. I understand that I have had some credit issues, which is not Nissan and the banks problem, but how many people in America are having problems with their credit? I am very upset with the people at the dealership, because now they are saying, Well, we did all we could do. You know, if we mess up how credit scores, the bank and finance companies will hold our past over our heads until we die, and sometimes they hold the past still against who have died. All I wanted them to do is to at least give me a chance to make the payments. So now, here I am back to renting a car so I can get to work, and the dealership has their car which now is a used car. So who wins? I just thank GOD that he does hold our past against us for life.
I experienced transmission problems with my 2009 Cube which has 70,000 miles on it, Nissan says it has an extended warranty on the transmission of 120,000. Not so! I have broken down 3 times on a major highway after the car will not shift out of high gear after driving 65 to 70 MPH. It then will crawl to a slow dangerous speed. I have paid for 3 $250.00 tows, missed my grandsons graduation and been stranded late at night for Nissan to tell me they can find nothing wrong with the car on their diagnostic machine. THEY REFUSE to recreate the problem on the road as they cannot spare the man power.This is not a safe car and I can no longer drive it and feel safe. Needless to say Nissan is more than willing to put my family in a life threatening position to save a buck! We called Customer Affairs several times and they tried to convince and remind the dealer, Courtesy Nissan of Tampa that the transmission was under warranty. No avail. I found my car in the back lot after they had it for 8 days. They were happy to charge me over three hundred dollars after my second tow to flush the transmission which did nothing. Pretty sure they did nothing to try and help me. Never in the time I owned the car did I get honest service at that dealership. I had tire sensors replaced a few times and gave up because they have never worked and spent many nervous rides thinking I had a flat. I will never buy from Nissan again and I warn others to do the same. They do not care about the safety of their customers.
Dear Nissan, for everyone that had a car before the policies changed for the 8 payment extensions to 6 payment extensions you should still honor them because we were told something that is no longer being honored. I understand that it is a courtesy, but that doesnt change the fact that you should honor your word to us because when you say something you should do it. Especially for some of us who have been loyal towards our payments and the Nissan Corporation. Also, we never get anything for being a customer. We hardly get discounts and the service team at almost every location is always trying to sell you another car for overpriced numbers. Unsatisfied.
I picked up my car on Nov 22 on Dec 1 display not functioning. Brought to dealer on Dec 3 said need new screen. On Dec 5 called saying adjusted is what is needed. Dec 8 bring in to let them do adjustment. Dec 9 display/screen does not work again. Dec 13 called to follow up, do not know when the dealer will fix this problem. Big headache, maybe I got a lemon.
I purchased a 2009 Nissan Murano in 2012 and now am experiencing a well known issue with the transmission. They extended the warranty to 120k miles but I have not driven the vehicle for the extended warranty period. I contacted the customer service for Nissan and spoke to several people with no resolution. They are not going to honor the warranty nor stand behind their product when they know this is an issue with the Nissan Murano. It has transmission issues and would advise anyone not to purchase this vehicle.
I own a 2009 Nissan Rogue and my transmission just went out. I understand completely that a vehicle is a vehicle and all vehicles will have problems every now and then. What I dont understand is why the heck is Nissan still marketing their vehicles with the CVT transmissions? I know a lot of people who owned a Altima, Maxima, Murano and I asked the question of why did you guys get rid of your vehicles? Their responses were they started to hear grinding noises coming from the transmission and the transmission would idle past 2k rpms at a complete stop and once they take off the transmission would change gears so hard that it felt like they were being rear ended and so they didnt trust the CVT transmission and got rid of their vehicle before any major mechanical issues occurred. Three weeks ago I began experiencing the same problem and Sunday June 14th I went to turn into the grocery store parking lot and tried to give it a little more gas and all it did was idle and then immediately my service engine light kept flashing. I had the vehicle towed to a Nissan dealership and it was confirmed my transmission went out and to top it off they are non repairable. So not only do I not have a vehicle but I am also making a very decent payment on the vehicle and my warranty has expired. To everyone out there looking to purchase a Nissan. I highly recommend that you do not buy their products until they discontinue the CVT transmissions. If youre interested in how Nissan vehicles look rather than the quality of the vehicle then have at it. Trust me when I say you will be glad you didnt purchase any of their vehicles with the CVT transmission. I only wish I wouldve done my homework before purchasing my vehicle.
I BOUGHT NISSAN X-trail in 2015 it is still under warranty. My car I-stop (Stop & start function) is not working since last one year. I have been to Nissan many times for the same reason. Till now they have changed few different parts to work it out still its not working. Now at last they are saying I have to changed I-stop battery which will cost me $350AUS though still under warranty. So I dont why I should pay money if the car system is faulty and still under warranty.
Impossible to make a payment over phone without automated system asking you a Thousand questions. They call you 10 times a week to verify a payment coming. Nissan Corporation keeps you on hold for 10-20 minutes. Some get cocky when you are being polite and asking questions. They hang up on you or route you to the wrong people.
I have a 2009 Nissan Altima. The car will not go. I almost got hit twice. I took the car to Nissan and had a diagnostic test done for 120.00 dollars for them to tell me there is nothing wrong with my car but when I took it to Kia they did one... They came up with the step motor (778) code. I took it back to Nissan and they said they never heard of that code. They reset my car and drove it, and they said it was fine, but when I drove my car home, check engine light came back on and once again got stuck on a hill. The car would not go and almost got hit again.Nissan does not want to fix this problem or recall this vehicle that they said cant fix if they cant find the problem. Im writing this review to inform others of this problem and to put on record Im getting an attorney to file a class action lawsuit, and to let Nissan know when I end up in a accident and hurt or dead they will have a big lawsuit on their hands. Its going to take for someone to die for Nissan to recall these vehicles and that is sad. I will never buy another Nissan vehicle. I will keep everyone informed on what an attorney has to say so you can get in on this lawsuit. Nissan dont want to take care of this problem. I will.
Back on April 25th 2020 I traded in my Nissan Rogue sport at rt 46 nissan in Totowa nj. I leased an Altima. I find out at the end of October that the paperwork was not done and they say I am delinquent on my rogue. I have been going back and forth with the dealership and nissan corp for 2 months. They have destroyed mine and my wifes credit and it is December 29th and the problem is still going on. I will never buy a nissan again and I wish I could get rid of the one that I have now. If anybody needs a new vehicle I would not suggest 46 nissan or nissan corp at all.
My wife just had an accident today, 31 Jan 2012. It was a front end collision with her 2003 Nissan Sentra. She rear ended someone when she was driving 50 mph in a 55 mph zone. The braked car moved 75ft before colliding the driver side front end into the truck in front of her. The truck received little damage; however, her Nissan was crushed in the entire drivers side front half. The airbag did not deploy, and she stated the wheels would not turn to avoid the truck in front when she was braking. I took pictures and a video of the car and the entire scene. The police officer stated it was strange the air bag did not deploy, it should have. We just had her car serviced at the local Nissan dealership a couple months prior. I am wondering why the wheels locked when braking and why the airbag did not deploy. The car is totaled.
My 2005 Murano was serviced by a dealer for a stalling problem. The dealer stated a need of Cam shaft sensor replacement for a fix. Further, they recommended that the CVT be replaced due to an action of recoiling at deceleration which I mentioned the exactly the same dilemma to a Nissan tech adviser who wrote a ticket. A mechanic test drove my car & was able to verify/duplicate the symptom of the recoiling action aforementioned. I told the Nissan dealer to replace the Cam sensor & the transmission fluids knowing that a warranty doesnt cover the expenses involved with the replacement of CVT.Next day, Oct/29/15, I accidentally discovered on internet that Nissan had extended warranty on CVT to 10 yr/120,000 miles. Consequently, I called the customer rep. to confirm an eligibility. The rep. submitted a ticket for a regional specialist to call me next day which they did. The answer was No because I purchased my car on Aug/16/2005 which is merely (2) months outside window of an extended warranty. I greatly disappointed & called a customer Rep. again to re-open the case for the following reasons: I have never received the notification from the Nissan of an extended warranty on CVT.Im the original owner & it has only 78,000 miles on it. Mine failed at such low miles, then whod buy a car from Nissan. Id have taken the car to a dealer to replace the CVT if Id known the extended program. I love my car & the performance except the mishap of CVT. Im awaiting on a reply from a regional manager this time in a few days for a final decision.
Purchased car in April 2012. It is a convertible, just in time to enjoy for the summer. But that did not happen because within a month of having the car just in time to use for the nice weather, the car was in for service because the roof would not go up and down - 3x this happened. Then the winter came, no problems, because you dont look to put the roof down. The summer of 2013 is here and the car is in for service again - entire roof was replaced and still does not work properly. The car has been at 2 different dealerships in the 16 months I have owned it for a total of 7 times. One dealership even tried to give me the car back with the windows not closing properly.
Ive been a LOYAL customer of Nissan for many many years purchasing over $100,000 worth of vehicles, over a period of time, but NO MORE. We purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue from a dealership in MD, have taken the vehicle there for all services, except tires of course. Weve kept up the maintenance on the vehicle, as our record clearly shows and now that we have an issue, NISSAN Corporate bailed out on us.. YES, they sure did. I just want all Nissan owners and owners to be, know NISSAN should have a massive RECALL on their transmissions for the Rogue. When we started having an issue with the transmission, we of course took vehicle into dealership, which, they in turn, said transmission has been known to overheat, therefore, they installed an additional cooling device on the transmission. However, after having this installed, which was covered under the warranty, it worked for a little while, and guess what? You guessed it, it is now overheating again and of course out of warranty. Perfect timing Mmmmm?? My husband took vehicle back to the MD dealership, they tested and said the transmission is SHOT and may burn up at anytime. WOW, Big surprise, again. We were then directed to contact Nissan Corporate headquarters. We did, they set up a case, dealership submitted papers to Corporate and guess what? They told us to pound sand. Yep, what a wonderful Business Relations we have here! Ive been dealing with customers most of my adult life and to say the least, you would THINK that a major corporation like Nissan would at least work with their customers, but NO! We offered to pay half of repair cost, still NO! To say the least, Im truly disappointed by Nissans response I received today and would NOT recommend anyone buying one of their vehicles, which I have three of them at the moment, until the Rogue transmission cramps out completely. Sincerely, disappointed customer, but NO MORE! You will NEVER get my business, nor will I recommend NISSAN to anyone ever again.... Have a nice day!
Long story short, CVT recall, had judder issues since 50,000 miles. Took car in several times, Dealership states nothing wrong. Check engine light came on around 99,000 miles. Diagnostic test came back with CVT problem. Code wasnt enough evidence so hundreds of dollars later, needed an extensive diagnostic test. Still wasnt enough for Nissan. I had to record my dashboard of the tachometer jumping with the judder. Sent it in and dealership said more proof was needed because I could have been doing it with the gas pedal. While driving I had to now record both my tachometer and speedometer at the same time. Sent it in and woman at dealership never called me for the status so when I called her a week and a half later (of course one of the Reps relays her message as usual because I can never reach her. She never takes my phone calls or calls me back, she tells her reps that shes busy and gives them a message for me). She stated I needed to call Consumer Affairs to open a case so she could send the video in which I already had a case opened which was how she was able to submit the first set of videos in the first place. Apparently many people have this issue and Nissan should not be in business if this is how they treat their customers. I plan to contact NY State Attorney General and the FTC. I paid a lot of money for this used car and had nothing but problems.
Theyre aware of the issues with the 06 Nissan Altima and they didnt send out notification. Its stressful patching something that they know about. How dare they put our lives in danger and our children and now theyre giving me a hard time. Shame. Shame. Shame on them. This car has put my child 95 around big trucks.
This is the best car brand for me and my family and I really like the radio system that came with it. The heat works great and the sound system is amazing also. The car drives good enough and any vehicle that runs works for me.
I brought a New Leaf on 2nd May 2014. This car is supposed to go 170 Km on a full Battery Charge. My new car will only do 90 to 100 Kms. on a full charge. It has been back to the dealer 3 times for repair. The Head Office of Nissan will not honor the Warranty, as they say there is nothing wrong with the batteries. Their Sales Booklet and internet says should get 170 kms on a full charge. I paid $39,000 cash and would like my money refunded. Head Office in Melbourne WILL NOT CHANGE THE BATTERIES.This car does not perform to what is printed in the Booklet. This car was made in April 2012. Held in storage at Brisbane until sold. The Batteries are 2 Years old when it was delivered to me 4th June 2014. Compliance Plate was Dated May 2014, but the car was over 2 years old then. I expected to buy a 2014 produced Car not a 2 year old one. If then it is sold next year it will say it is 3 year old. I consider that it is false sales to me [not a 2014 model car]. I think Nissan Australia should take the back and Refund me my money.
We currently have a lease that we have been trying to buyout for a week. I originally got a payoff figure online which was good through 11/7/2011, had even called Nissan Finance and got the same figure with the same good through date. Unfortunately, you can not pay them off directly and they require you to go through the dealership. We have been trying to deal with Napoli Nissan of Milford. Originally, my husband called over a week ago asking for a payoff figure and they told him to come in, but dont come in on Saturday because its busy. Who says that. The Saturday they are referring to was last week 10/29. So, my husband calls in the beginning of the week, basically playing phone tag, leaving messages and not getting returned phone calls. I finally went there on Tuesday to try to get the information. So of course, they wanted to try to get me into a new lease and I told them I would entertain the idea but I need both figures. A final buyout figure and what the monthly payment would be for a new lease. By the time I left there, I left without either of the figures and got, I am going to have to deal with Nissan, its going to take me some time to get the numbers for you. Really, because Im sure if I said yes, they would have had the numbers right then and there. So when I left there, I thought about it and called literally within 5 minutes after leaving and asked for the payoff figure again. No return call. The next day, Wednesday, my husband called and we were given the run around, the woman that crunches the numbers is not here today. The next day, I email and call, get a return phone call with another run around, The manager is not in and needs to do the numbers. Well, if I wanted to buy a new car that day I guess I couldnt. Highly unlikely. Now, today, Friday I called again and got a return phone call. However, the new base payout figure is completely different than what I originally got from Nissan Finance. The reason being is the automated line that the dealership calls has already rolled over to a good through date of December 7. The payout figure I was supplied with was good through November 7. I told the salesperson this and they gave me the automated number to call and sure enough it rolled over to December. So, I called back, spoke with a representative and asked that they fax over to the dealership the payoff figure that is good through November 7. They indicated that they could do that but they needed my husband to call because he is on the account and I am not. Okay, so we do that and when my husband calls, they told him that they cant put it back to 11/7. Thats just odd to me, since that date hasnt even come and gone yet. Arent they a financial institution?
We WERE a Nissan family. 2012 Rouge on second transmission. First faulty transmission caught fire after Service Manager assured us the car was fine to drive. This left my 18 year old daughter on the side of a highway with a flaming car. 2015 Rouge CVT needed to be replaced. Sounded like the wheels were going to fall off. 2012 Versa transmission replaced the same week as the 2012 Rouge. Researched the Versa and it had air bags that were recalled and I was never notified. Called Corporate Nissan and spoke with two separate representatives that could have cared less that for safety or reliability. My daughters were both dismissed by service managers that told them their cars were fine. I am a single mom who has purchased 8 Nissans over the past 25 years. After speaking with Corporate Nissan three cars are going to be traded very quickly!!! BUY ELSEWHERE.
This vehicle has been the best model that we have ever purchased. It is a 2003 model, but we have never had to have any major work done. The dealership had a reputation of honesty. The vehicle had a good look and when we test drove it, it drove so smoothly. We took it on back roads to try how it handled on curves and small potholes. The only thing I dislike is that the passenger side seatbelt locks as soon as the vehicle starts, with much discomfort until I release it and put it back on.
I leased a 2016 Nissan Maxima the day after I came back from my deployment training. I had great experience with Nissan of Omaha and had Altima before. Had some issues but they were taken care of before. Based on that, I leased a Maxima. Soon after driving the car, I had issue with the front collision sensor that keeps on showing up on dash. The error read as sensor blocked. Took it to the dealer and was told to take vehicle on side of street and clean the sensor and keep driving. One month later, on a road trip to Kansas had the same issue. Pulled on side of road and front bumper scraped a rock. So took it to dealer and was told that sensor is damaged will be replaced however, I need to take car to body shop and replace the bumper myself before I can ever proceed. Brand new car, 2 months old and has a broken sensor. Since I am on a lease, I cant get out but I will not recommend Nissan to anyone.
Fluctuating Prices. No 2 Nissan dealers will quote the same price on a part. They vary between 2 and 400 bucks!!
I got a 2017 TITAN I pay 441 a month for. I have embarrassingly made 2 of the payments in a loaner vehicle, had to cancel 2 family trips, and continue to be inconvenienced by Nissan both at corporate level and at dealership level. What ever happened to customer satisfaction? What ever happened to making the bad situation or experience right? NISSAN USA doesnt understand these concepts. Seeing everything that I have gone through with my truck has turned off two neighbors of mine from buying Nissan product.
