First and last Nissan that we will own. In short, the Nissan consumer affairs division exists to read a bulletin back to you regarding any warranty, claim, or recall regardless of the situation. If you have recurring issues with your vehicle, prepare to be disappointed and spend a lot of money. On a positive note, the local dealership has always maintained a friendly demeanor when explaining the astronomical repair bills.

I am the unproud owner of a 2013 Nissan Juke. This is my 4th vehicle and I have never experienced such issues out of a vehicle previously. First, I will say the vehicle doesnt even have 150,000 miles and but all issues (except the newest one) were all before hitting 100,000 miles. To start, I have gone through three cylinder replacements and thought the transmission was going to have to be replaced (luckily that bullet has been dodged so far). I believe all replacements were for misfires. These were all out of pocket and hundreds of dollars each time. Now my vehicle is sitting in a repair shop because the parts of the undercarriage are starting to rust. The best part is I went to get an inspection sticker and as the man turned my steering wheel, the ball bearing snapped in half so it cannot be driven. Obviously, I didnt pass the inspection. The mechanic said Im lucky that I didnt make a sharp turn getting my vehicle there or it couldve resulted in myself or someone else being badly hurt. This was the result of the rusting undercarriage. Do yourself a favor and run as far away from these vehicles as you can. Otherwise, keep thousands of dollars aside for unexpected and ongoing repairs.

Sucks and will never buy another Nissan for the rest of my living life. Bad experience from customer service to corporate office. This all started when I took my Nissan to my local Nissan dealer and nothing is ever cover under warranty meanwhile I have warranty for the next 10 years or 100 mile bumper to bumper that I bought through Nissan themselves. My car is 2 years old with 25,000 miles and my headlights are starting to peel which means The car is very hard to drive at night time. Sometimes I feel that I might get into a car accident and Nissan did nothing for me. They just say, “Sorry you’re screwed. If you want new headlights you have to pay out-of-pocket.” Always trying to make the customer pay. My question is what kind of products are theyre making that does not even last two years? That’s the problem. My case number is **. P.S. Denis Le Vot sir with all respect your company needs to make better products and treat better the customers because you just lost one of them. Maybe it’s not gonna hurt anything but is not going to hurt me anymore. Thanks.

The reason that I am sending this is because I am very unhappy with the customer that I receive from your location. I had an appointment this morning at 8:30am due to my fan making a noise when I cut the heat on. My car also hesitates sometimes when driving so I was having that checked as well. My boyfriend brought my car to the appointment this morning. He was advised that the blow motor was not covered under the warranty and it will be $59.99 to look at this and an additional $99.95 if the hesitation wasnt my transmission. At this point the service manager Mike gets on the phone with poor customer service and had a major attitude. He states that the blow motor is under warranty but I needed a filter that is recommended every 15,000 miles. Thats fine we got it taken care of. My concerns after they repaired it they left all of the leaves and sticks all over my floor in my car when they repaired this. I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and customer service I receive. Not even a year ago I came in because I had a humming noise in my car. When I came in and advised the young lady she was very nasty and rude and told me my warranty was up and I never complained about the noise before (I think her name was Brooke). I get an appointment for the following Monday and sure enough it was my wheel bearing and it was still under warranty. I just feel I receive terrible customer service from this location and it makes me want to go somewhere else. I come here because my job is nearby. I just want a little more empathy and customer service when I come to this location. That is all I am asking. Thank you and have a great day!

I bought a 2014 Pathfinder in January of 2017. It was just out of warranty
I bought a 2014 Pathfinder in January of 2017. It was just out of warranty by mileage and the ABS computer went bad. The Nissan Dealership here locally was very nice and helpful and had never seen this issue before. It is unsafe and unreliable because the speedometer, gas gauge, and the 4-wheel drive do not work when experiencing this issue (I live in a snowy area so I do need the 4 wheel drive to turn on when those conditions are present). I would also say that 36k miles and one prior owner with a clean CarFax Report is a bit early for the ABS computer to fail and so I do believe this is a manufacturing issue with the unit failing prematurely.I completely understand that once the car is out of warranty, Nissan does not have to do anything to help out. However, given the nature of the issue and how recently the car was out of warranty (and only by mileage), I would have thought they would be able to help out in some way. For instance, taking care of the labor or even just giving the dealership a direct purchase cost on the part without a markup. The part is $1400 and the labor is $600. I would have been happy with a minor discount on the repair. However, as other reviewers have commented, the consumer affairs department of Nissan exists to read you the warranty terms. This is my first Nissan, which I bought because of the name and associated reliability, but I will never buy another Nissan after this experience.

NMAC is tacking on a $15.00 late fee even though we have never been late with a payment. On four occasions they have charged the fee because we made the payment on a Friday and they do not post until Monday. Our contract clearly states that we have up to 10 days past the due date to make the payment and we have always paid online within the 10 day grace period. Their explanation is that they contract the online service and the contractor does not always post the payment immediately. This is Nissans problem since I never entered into an agreement with the third party.

I turned in a 3 year leased 2015 Nissan and purchased a 2017 Nissan Altima on November 30, 2017. I only had one car in my possession. My automatic payment from my bank did not get stopped in time for two payments which both went to the leased car, which I had turned in. When I found out what happened in January (when I would normally make my first car payment on a new car) I went straight to the dealership and we both called numerous times about the over-payment. On January 22, 2018 I decided to make a second payment to protect my good credit. All they had to do was to transfer my funds to the new car. They said they would but they did not. I had an executive lease on the car (I highly recommend this) so I did not owe anything for any damage to the lease. I received a letter from Nissan Motor Acceptance telling me not to make a payment in February (because they were holding $1047) so I did not make Februarys payment, In March I made my regular payment for the new 2017 Nissan and realized they never transferred the funds to the right car in February! So, on March 7th I made two more car payments, again to protect my good credit (did I mention I received a letter that threatened to take back the car during this fiasco?). So, I paid March on time and did not pay Februarys payment because they said they would transfer the funds, but they did not. Late in March I received a check for over all the money they owed me. That was three months of my wasted time and after all that, they still ruined my I credit saying I was 30 days late in February and 60 days late in March!! Worst of all I contacted the 3 credit bureaus with the letter from Nissan saying not to pay in February and the check for over $1047 with an apology letter in March, but Nissan is refusing to allow my credit to be restored!! Ive lost out on a 0 interest credit card and have been denied credit due to this and my credit score has dropped from 733 to 705. It is now ten months later and I am still working on repairing the damage they have done!!

I traded in a car at Nissan in July 2011 and purchased a new one. In December 2011, I received two warrants for unpaid parking tickets on the car I traded in July. The tickets were issued in November of this year. Every time I call Melloy Nissan, they will tell me they will take care of it and call me back. No one has returned my calls after numerous messages. The old car is still registered to me and in my name. The license plate was never changed.I have to go to Metro Court, set up a court date with a judge, go back on my court date, show that I dont own the car and hopefully get the tickets dismissed. Until I find the time to go to the courthouse, I could possibly be arrested for unpaid parking warrants. Also, what if someone commits a crime in that car that is still registered to me? I am very concerned.

We leased this vehicle and it was nothing but trouble. We would go on business trips and returning to car, it wouldnt start. The battery was ok but we couldnt figure out what to do. This happened many many times and was told by the dealer they couldnt figure out what was wrong. At one point the radio would come on blasting and there was nothing we could do to turn it down or off. Nissan did replace the radio but it ended up not being the trouble with the car stalling. This was not reliable and we ended up having to return it early from our lease agreement because it was a LEMON!!!

We bought a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder on January 1st, 2014. It was brand new and had been driven, but you could see that the sunroof had something wrong with it because there were water stains on the inside and since it was the panoramic sunroof that does not open, there was definitely an issue with it. The dealership assured us that they would fix it before we drove it off the lot. We trusted that when we finally were able to take it home that it was fixed right and would last. Fast forward 5 years and now it is rusting all around the sunroof and we have been told that the entire roof needs to be replaced. This is a 5 year old vehicle that has no rust anywhere else and has been garage kept for the majority of the time we have owned it. I spoke to Nissan consumer affairs and after going through all their hoops for a diagnostic, they informed me today that they would not be financially assisting me in fixing an issue that is clearly their fault. It may have taken five years to surface but I should not have to pay almost half of what the vehicle is worth to fix a rust issue that was caused by their repair job. Its a disgrace and although this is my fourth Nissan and I have been happy with this Pathfinder I will never buy another Nissan. I cannot believe how they treat their customers when there is a problem. They are awful. Stay away!

A 2015 Nissan Murano I leased in February 2015 was in the service department for 45 days. I was highly unhappy and wanted Nissan Consumer Affairs to either take the car back or exchange for a functioning one. Nissan consumer affairs was dismissive, vague, uninterested in the hardships I endured, and ignored the many valid complaints and concerns I had. They sent me generic letters only and in the last month never returned my calls. This company has become a joke, and I am proud to say I have already deterred 2 friends from buying a new Nissan. In customer service, the customer should be heard. Not dismissed!

My son purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima with 36,000 miles on it. He has owned it for 2 weeks. He was suppose to have Powertrain warranty that went with vehicle till 2019. The CarFax said it was leased to private owner in 2014 till 2016 then sent to auction in New Jersey. In which another dealer purchased it. Then my son purchased the headache. The car had blue smoke coming out of exhaust so we took it to Nissan to look at. The service department said it was sludge in engine and the vehicle had no maintenance done at all. But Nissan wanted a pic of oil pan and valves before they would decline to have it repaired. My son paid 200 for this to be done then Nissan decline repair because of neglect. The Nissan dealership knew when vehicle was brought back from lease that no maintenance was done so they passed it along to auction so someone else could deal with it. Now son has car with no warranty.

I bought the vehicle(Nissan Navara) new in 2006. In 2009 (less than 3 years old) I complained about severe chassis rust. I was fobbed off but also told in writing Should you have any issues with corrosion of the chassis in the future, your vehicle is covered by a 12 year perforation warranty. Now the chassis has failed and broken in half! They say on 18/3/2015 this isnt a situation where we would be able to offer a gesture of goodwill because of your vehicles age and mileage and the fact that the corrosion warranty does not cover the chassis.

I am writing to voice my complaint about my current Nissan experience with my 2011 Nissan Altima that was purchased in December of 2016. The car is currently only 6 years old and I have experienced a total loss to the value of the car. I have recently had all the locks in my car go out... ALL AT ONCE. When contacting Nissan about my options of what to do; I was recommend to replace my key fob battery and if not that do a test to see what the problem is. After having the test done Friday, August 18th, I was told that I needed to replace all four actuators on my Altima. The price range for this is estimated to be around $1350. After talking to family members and family members employed with Nissan we feel that the information given to me is accurate and that there is a bigger issue with the car other than this. We believe replacing these the problem will continue to be there due to there being a wiring or system malfunction with my Altima. I am just really upset and not understanding how a car that is 6 years old already have every actuator go out and all at once. This is a total inconvenience and just see so much to spend on a car that I dont even have paid off yet. This experience has honestly made me not want to buy another Nissan in the future. I never expected to have this happen but I have to say it is a huge disappoint and not convenient when you have a push start car.

Stacie, lied and never mentioned the 120K cut off... She deliberately did not share that information. She did not try to help, she’s a liar and my car is sitting at Nissan and my car isn’t fixed! Bought my 2012 Rogue in April 2012. Its been a great car to me, love how it handles in the snow. Now in April 2017 and 72,000 miles later, I need a new transmission. Despite the fact that I did not buy the extended warranty, I should not have to replace a transmission this soon. Apparently there have been recalls regarding the CVT transmissions (Nissan is well aware of their problems) but my VIN was not included... Hmmm... I wonder why. Since it is out of warranty, I am not bringing it to a Nissan dealership for repair as they will only charge me more than my hometown garage. I am going to have the transmission replaced and then trade it in. Time to go back to buying American. Since I bought my Rogue I have recommended the car to so many people. Now I am sorry I did that. $4000 down the drain.

I purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue on February 19. On February 28th, while stopped in traffic, I was rear-ended by a distracted driver who was also speeding. The crash threw me into the car in front of me, who was stopped as well. Over $10,000 in damage. My vehicle has been held up since March 3rd due to two parts on National back order at Nissan. As of today, there is no release date and none is even expected until the end of April (was previously told April 4th). Calls to Nissan have yielded no results, Ive only been told that they cannot give me a release date. In the meantime, I will have made 2 car payments (or more) on a brand new car that I cannot drive. In May 2015 the airbag light came on, and I took to them for repair, they wanted $125 to diagnose the problem. It was told to me then that there is no such warranty and airbags arent covered. I called corporate headquarters in Tennessee and expressed a safety concern about it and was told by them upon reviewing my case there is nothing they would do for me. I took the vehicle to another Nissan dealer and had to pay $1242 for a new air bag due to a short. I tried to explain to Nissan that this is a safety issue and a defect in the vehicle and should be repaired at no cost to me, but they don t care about their customers safety or any defects after sale is made. The part would take a couple of days as this was a Friday. I thought that I would also try to see if I could speed things up a little by contacting my local Nissan dealer, Nissan Bradford (Bristol St Motors), they also said that it would take a few days and the cost would be ONLY £1300-00, yes £1300-00. When I complained all I got was that Nissan set the cost and thats all there was to it. Is it that the warranty was different? NO. Both had 1 years warranty. Is the Nissan part made of Gold? Not only did they try to first CHARGE me just to CHECK the transmission problem, but they came back and said, the transmission is totally shot. This is a known problem. I called NMAC (the leasing company) and they said someone would call to mediate by 5PM. NO ONE CALLED. I agree with the last review. I was suckered into a HIGH monthly payment from DAY ONE. I understand the transmission is under warranty, but for the week or more that they will have my car in the shop, are they going to reimburse me for that portion of my car payment? NO. And I have to pay for a rental??? UNACCEPTABLE. And how many times is this car going to be back in the shop with a new transmission??? I guess I have to wait until they install 3 different transmissions in order to seek relief citing the NYS Lemon Law.

Consider this. I have a 2011 Rogue and found out the CVT needs replacing. Since Nissan has created a monopoly around their CVT you cannot find parts to rebuild as you cannot buy them. The only way is to replace the entire CVT which you must purchase from Nissan. Ever wonder how they extended the warranty for 2008-2010 only but did the extension in 2014? They knew that the 2011, 2012, 2013 would all have the same problems. Maybe not enough complaints at that time for those years. So I checked the warranty on the brand new replacement CVT direct from Nissan and installed by Nissan... 12 months/20000kms. Although the exact same CVT on a brand new 2017 comes with 5years/60000km warranty. Read between the lines... Nissan cannot even back their own monopoly on CVT with a decent warranty. What a crock of **. Bye bye Nissan FOREVER. The GM of the dealership wont even return my call, probably because he has no excuses for the crap product the CVT is. Someone start a class action and take Nissan and their CRAP CVT down.

We currently have a lease that we have been trying to buyout for a week. I originally got a payoff figure online which was good through 11/7/2011, had even called Nissan Finance and got the same figure with the same good through date. Unfortunately, you can not pay them off directly and they require you to go through the dealership. We have been trying to deal with Napoli Nissan of Milford. Originally, my husband called over a week ago asking for a payoff figure and they told him to come in, but dont come in on Saturday because its busy. Who says that. The Saturday they are referring to was last week 10/29. So, my husband calls in the beginning of the week, basically playing phone tag, leaving messages and not getting returned phone calls. I finally went there on Tuesday to try to get the information. So of course, they wanted to try to get me into a new lease and I told them I would entertain the idea but I need both figures. A final buyout figure and what the monthly payment would be for a new lease. By the time I left there, I left without either of the figures and got, I am going to have to deal with Nissan, its going to take me some time to get the numbers for you. Really, because Im sure if I said yes, they would have had the numbers right then and there. So when I left there, I thought about it and called literally within 5 minutes after leaving and asked for the payoff figure again. No return call. The next day, Wednesday, my husband called and we were given the run around, the woman that crunches the numbers is not here today. The next day, I email and call, get a return phone call with another run around, The manager is not in and needs to do the numbers. Well, if I wanted to buy a new car that day I guess I couldnt. Highly unlikely. Now, today, Friday I called again and got a return phone call. However, the new base payout figure is completely different than what I originally got from Nissan Finance. The reason being is the automated line that the dealership calls has already rolled over to a good through date of December 7. The payout figure I was supplied with was good through November 7. I told the salesperson this and they gave me the automated number to call and sure enough it rolled over to December. So, I called back, spoke with a representative and asked that they fax over to the dealership the payoff figure that is good through November 7. They indicated that they could do that but they needed my husband to call because he is on the account and I am not. Okay, so we do that and when my husband calls, they told him that they cant put it back to 11/7. Thats just odd to me, since that date hasnt even come and gone yet. Arent they a financial institution?

My daughter purchased a 2013 NISSAN SENTRA in November of 2013. In May of 2014, out of nowhere, the car transmission started slipping after 10,000 miles. She immediately took it to her dealership and they proceeded to diagnose the problem. I was advised that there have been some problems with the CVT transmissions, but they were working on them. Once sending proper testing documents to Nissan, the dealership replaced the transmission. It is a major concern of ours that the same year transmission was put back in the car, after being advised that once the transmission is replaced there were very few problems with them.I thought that since Nissan was confident in their product, that there wouldnt be any reservation in extending the new transmission warranty. Not so. Unfortunately, she will be losing 10,000 miles on the transmission warranty as it will run at the same time as the whole power train warranty, 60,000 miles or six years. Maybe they arent so confident in their product after all, nor am I!!!! Will not be recommending Nissan to future buyers.

Murano SL model 2017.5 purchased 5/8/17. Failed Forward Emergency Braking. Returned to selling dealership which insisted the computer showed no error. The dealer refused to road test the vehicle. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs. They informed me they could NOT do anything to caused the dealership to honor the warranty. They would not help me find another dealership to help me. I located another dealership who found a computer error and debris on the camera repairing the problem. The car now operates properly. Nissan claims they have no control over their dealers so if the dealer wont honor the warranty the problem falls on the purchaser. The car had less than 6000 miles when this occurred.

I was a loyal Nissan fan after switching from a Honda to Nissan in 2012. Recently the CVT transmission gave up on my 2014 Maxima and I contacted the dealer to then find out the warranty expired at 60,000 miles so I emailed a formal complaint with Nissan headquarters only to receive a templated reply within 12 hours stating their warranty bound goodwill assistance and reimbursement policy which basically came down to me having to cover the repairing costs of $3400 myself! Seeing the number of negative reviews with no intended solutions on Nissans behalf, Ive decided to Never ever purchase a vehicle from Nissan again or any of their affiliated brands! Nissan lost another one!

Nissan is one big scam. Do not lease or buy a car from them. A windshield cracked on a New car. They put the part on back order without a date. The car is not able to be used and they are still requiring for the leasee to pay for the lease when they are not providing any part, For over a month already! In addition I believe there are laws in certain states requiring a manufacturer to have parts available for up to 5 years on certain items. Good to have Warranty Compliance Advisors as our assistance here. We reached out to Nissan and got a pathetic response still nothing doing.

My credit is good so I financed my new 2016 Nissan Rogue at my credit union with no trouble. A couple of weeks later, I mistakenly pumped diesel fuel in my new car. It happened at Sheetz. They say it cant be done and the nozzle wouldnt fit. They finally said it is Nissans fault. Nissan passed me around from one customer service person to another. It appears to be a game with them. They seem to have a lot of customer service people who will call you and ask you a few questions just to have someone else call you. It definitely is a way of looking like they are paying attention to you but the result is they wont do anything to help you. Besides that problem that same day, I tried to use Nissan roadside assistance which I had been told I should have, when it happened. My tow charges were more because they said I didnt have it when I tried to use it and I was forced to call 911. I understand I made a mistake but that nozzle fit right into my car and the only way I saw what had happened was when my car stalled and I read my receipt. Anyway, both Nissan and Sheetz first said they would help but then wouldnt. Dont buy a Nissan. There is no customer service. They will just waste your time. Reference telephone for Nissan **. I think it is time to run these foreign vendors out of the US since they wont take any responsibility for the faulty design of their cars.

Well the issue has been fixed. It cost me $3000 for the co-pay which Nissan thought was a great deal because my vehicle had over 100,000 miles. The rest was covered by Nissan under what they call good will. Not really happy with the deal but have to take what you can get I guess. The sad part is this whole problem could have been avoided if Nissan would have done the right thing and issued a recall considering they knew about it the whole time. Bad customer service!

I purchased a 2011 SL Nissan Juke a little over 2 years ago. I chose the Nissan Juke because, at the time, it seemed like the perfect balance of practicality and aesthetics for a car under 25k. About 1 year into ownership, the car began to lose its ability to retain a battery charge. Several times the car needed a jump start. I took it into the dealership, and was told the battery was faulty -- hard to believe for a car just 1-year off the lot. I changed the batter per the dealerships recommendations. At about 68,000 miles, I take in the car to get checked out because of a rattling noise coming from the engine. A diagnostic was run, and I was told that I would be looking at a $2500 repair to replace and/or repair the timing chain, which, according to the tech, I should do sometime soon. At 70,000 miles, the vehicle completely stalls out while driving and eventually decelerates to a complete stop. The car no longer started, and I had to have it towed to the dealership. Now, the Nissan dealership is telling me that I need a completely new engine because there was damage caused by the timing-chain, which end up costing nearly $10,000. Ive since then learned that there are countless other Nissan Juke owners that have had the exact same thing happen to them. Not surprisingly, a class-action lawsuit has been filed against Nissan on the exact same issue. I need information regarding becoming a part of a class-action lawsuit filed against Nissan for failure to disclose knowledge about a faulty timing-chain design, and subsequent failure to issue a necessary recall on the model to repair the defect.

I purchased a pre-owned certified 2013 Nissan Pathfinder about 1.5 years ago and it was a terrible purchase. I have spent a few thousands of dollars on this car on top of having purchased an extended warranty. There were at least two recalls on this car that were addressed after I purchased the car, two window motor failures within the first year, the compressor from the AC is in the process of being replaced. I will say that these repairs were covered; however, I have had to pay a few thousands for items that were considered normal wear and tear which some items I didnt expect to have to cover so soon after purchasing the car and considering it was a certified car. Overall, I am so disappointed in my purchase and I do not plan on owning another Nissan car again.

The folks at the Nissan dealership in Victoria, TX were super great to work with and they assured me I would be reimbursed. Flash forward to a month with no return emails or calls from the regional customer service office. Not as much as a single update. Monday morning I called my Nissan dealerships in the area and was told the soonest any of them could look at it was from a week to a month from now, so I called Nissan consumer affairs, got a case #** took it to my local mechanic and we found the parking brake assy was blown apart and jammed inside the rotor. I bought a used Nissan Note automatic just over a year ago. The mileage was 8100. My daughter uses the car to go to and from work. The car now has 12,500 miles on it. I had a gearbox problem and took the car to Nissan authorized dealer. The dealer said that the automatic gearbox needs replacing and it will cost £8545.00. I believe that there must be factory defect since the gearbox should not give problems at 12,500 miles. Nissan is not accepting responsibility. The car is 4 years old. The warranty expired 6 months ago. What can I do? How do I take Nissan to court on the grounds that this is a manufacturing fault?

I leased a 2014 Pathfinder May of 2014. My gas mileage was very poor. At 2500 miles, I was averaging 8 to 9 miles to the gallon. The car is rated at 19 city and 25 highway. I mentioned it to the service department and he said I need to get more miles on the engine and that it would improve. Well I dont expect to get 19 mpg but at least 15 to 16 mpg. I now have 11,000 miles on the car and am averaging a big 10.1 to 10.3 city and 12.6 highway. I am not a lead foot driver. I took it to my dealership and they said they would check it out correct any problems they find. After having the car all day, they claim there is nothing wrong with my car. Is 12.6 highway send up a red flag or what. My friend has the exact same car as myself, same model, year, and engine. He averages 15.9 city and 18.2 highway with his a/C on. I mentioned this to my dealer, they said to call Nissan consumer affairs rudely. Well I did, they tried to tell me maybe its the way I drive and look at my book from Nissan to get some tips on how to drive to get better gas mileage. What kind of tips can I get for highway driving? Your foot basically stays in one position driving on the turnpike at 65 to 70 mph. The woman at consumer affairs said to take it to another Nissan dealer for a second opinion and if they find nothing wrong then Im basically stuck with what I have. She also said the gas estimates are just that an estimated mpg. Does 12.6 mpg come even close to the 25 mpg rating of Nissan. If I dont get any solution from Nissan then I will put big lemons on the car with gas mileage I am getting and park it in front of the dealership. Maybe it will get someones attention. Well, thats where I stand at this point.

Updated on 04/05/2019: I bought my Nissan Juke Shoro in the UK 2012 brand new. I live in Spain and had it shipped out to me. it never was a fast car but that was ok with me as I cruel around town anyway. A friend drove my car in 2016, it was the first time I had allowed anyone to drive her. He said it didnt seem to have any power and as there was a slight noise from the engine, took it to Nissan Dealers. I was told the gearbox had broken and it needed to be replaced, €10,000!!! I was out of warranty by age but was within milage. I had to fight with Nissan Spain for 5 weeks. They agreed to replace the CVT and I was to pay €1,000 to have it fitted, I was pretty annoyed but paid. Less than 2 years later the same thing, CVT gearbox had gone again. That was in Oct 2018, Nissan refuse to admitted that the car as a fault and now want me to pay €4,000 for a recondition CVT. Its now April 2019 and I have heard nothing. I ended up buying a little Opel for €5,000 with very little mileage. Nissan can keep the car, I wouldnt want it back now anyway. The service I had with Nissan every year was a waste of money. I am very very disappointed with Nissan and would never buy a car from then again.Original Review: I bought my new Nissan Juke Shiro Limited in 2012 and had it shipped to Spain. In 2016 after a friend had driven it, they brought to my attention that it had no power! Nada! To be honest I had always felt a bit un-at-ease when driving my Juke and felt I didn’t have much control on the speed but never through much if it. Especially as I had always serviced my car at a Nissan dealership approved garage and always got conned into paying premium instead of a standard service. So took my Juke to Nissan dealership and I am told the gearbox had broken, a new one would cost €10,000 including fitting! I was just 3 months out of my 3 year warranty but luckily within the mileage. So after 5 weeks of talk and waiting for decisions, Nissan Europe decided to replace the gearbox and I agreed to the €1,000 cost to fit it. It only had 1 year warranty but surely I wouldn’t need another new gearbox. 2 years later, 3 months after the premium service at Nissan... A friend drove my car and said the same as my last friend who had driven it in 2016!! No power! I took it back to Nissan garage, only to be told the gearbox was broken, again. Metal getting into the oil because 2 disks are grinding together in the gearbox... 2 months later, several phone calls, emails and messages. Nissan will only offer a 35% discount on a recondition gearbox €3,998! I can’t see how a faulty car manufactured and badly made by Nissan can be my fault. It cost me over £18,000 new.I am now out of pocket by €1,500 on rental cars and Nissan just don’t give a damn. I was never offered a courtesy car this time or back in 2016. This whole situation has had me sick with worry and not even having €3,998 to pay for the reconditioned gearbox that Nissan have offered! So I can having to pay another month of car hire cost, I am totally lost as to what to do. The head office in Barcelona that have also dealt with my case have been totally unprofessional and unresponsive to my phone calls and my emails. Needless to say, I would never buy another Nissan again???

Bought my 2013 Nissan Sentra Sr used with over 60k car in Dec 2015, long story short my car is suffering from transmission failure, the rpms will shoot up high and drop down low, my car will then start to stall and not want to go any fast than 10 mph!!! No matter how hard you hit the accelerator it will not speed up! I had to pull over before a car could have hit me and once I stopped it would not move at all, not in reverse not in drive nothing! I had to get a tow truck to tow my car back to my house and even then the driver told me that I’m better off buying a new car. I’m so upset, as to I owe 10k on it still and am looking at a 5k bill fixing it! I tried trading in the car to find out my cars value is only 3k!!! I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs office and was told there was nothing that could be done about my transmission problem, they did let me know there was a recall about the seatbelts yet I can’t even use my seatbelt due to my car being a death trap! BEWARE OF NISSAN AND THEIR TRASH CARS!!!

I have complained to Nissan Customer Service Malaysia about the occurrence of a small crack line at the center of my Nissan Sylphy dashboard. They replied that the crack line was due to external impact and therefore not claimable. I requested for a detailed explanation of what sort of external impact that has caused the crack line. This is because they have taken photos of my car both externally and internally. They did not give me a satisfactory reply but instead requested me to pay some USD1000 for the repair.Sir, the only impact on my car is a small dent on the lower left door of my car that has happened more than a year ago. My mechanic can testify to that. But, the crack occurred just one month ago. So there is no relationship between the dent and the crack. It really hurts when I received such response from Customer Service Nissan Malaysia as I have been a strong supporter of Nissan cars in the last 15 years. I have owned a Nissan Serena (1997), Nissan Sentra (2005) and now a Nissan Sylph (2009). Your kind intervention is much appreciated.

I purchased a second Nissan vehicle from National Motors on 12/17/2013. I had to trade in my previous 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe because the car would not start. I changed the battery and received three jump starts and the vehicle would not turn on. I found out later that the Nissan Manufacturer was aware of a steering lock issue and did not recall the vehicle or notify customers of the vehicle that this issue would occur. The same date I purchased the second vehicle from National Motors, I noticed my locks did not work. The driver side door unlocked from the outside using the key, but the other three doors would not respond to the key, only making the locking noise. I contacted Dwight, a car sales man and was told my locks would be fixed once the locks were ordered. They would fix my tail light and the locks because the tail light also had an issue. In January, Dwight advised that the locks were on back order but should arrive within another two weeks after the call. I called the dealership every week for a status update on the locks and continued to get the run around. Dwight stated someone from the dealership would call me in regards to the locks on 2/13/14 after stating he was no longer dealing with this anymore. No one called. Last week, 2/18-2/20 I was advised by Dwight that the owner of the dealership, Brian, decided to no longer fix my locks. Dwight stated that the locks were ordered and Brian returned the locks to the warehouse stating that he was no longer going to repair the doors. My father contacted the dealership on 2/21/14 and John advised that I go to my local Best Buy to get a remote sensor. On 2/22/14 I was told by a Best Buy Installer that the sensor would not fix the locks because there is something wrong with the car. Since the key opens one of the doors, the installer stated that the remote sensor is not the issue. There is something wrong with the doors. John ** then stated to me and the installer of Best Buy that the dealership was made aware of the issues with the door prior to my purchase and still decided to sell the car to me. There is no information on the website stating the door is defective nor is it reflected in the contract or discounted from the price of the car. This same day, the Best Buy installer contacted John and told him that the locks would not be fixed by Best Buy. John told me to come to the dealership to trade the car because they would not fix the locks. Unfortunately, throughout this ordeal and the back and forth between me and the dealership, my finance company has not received the first payment which was due on 2/11/14. I was afraid of making the payment because I was not sure if I would be able to keep the car or not. The locks not working is a safety issue and deceptive for the dealer to even think to allow a consumer to purchase the vehicle at full price without advising of the issues with the car. The date of 2/22/14, the owner Brian would not allow me to test drive a vehicle until a sales man had his appointment. I waited two hours for the sales rep even though his appointment didnt come in until two hours after I had already waited. The owner Brian continued to laugh and eat his food in the back as if I was not waiting to test drive a car. During this instance, I was still not offered any accommodations for my situation. This situation has caused me a lot of time, energy, and credit. I have contacted Nissan through the Better Business Bureau and they refuse to help me, even though this issue has occurred with thousands of Nissan customers. I will continue to voice my experience until someone fixes my locks, refunds my deposit, or trades this vehicle. This experience is a reason I will NEVER buy from Nissan again nor will I ever buy a car from this dealership. Nissan should offer extended warranty for situations that are beyond the customers control. Based on their response that I do not qualify for the issue to be resolved through them because the car is a 2009 is absolutely ridiculous. I will NEVER deal with Nissan again!

I purchased the Versa from a Toyota dealer; May 5, 2015. After having it for a little over six months the battery went dead. I had to purchase a new battery. On August 7, was heading home from Las Vegas. It was bumper to bumper traffic then there was a brake. I tried to accelerate there was a resistant. It picked up speed and just cut off. I had no brakes. It was if the interlock system shut off everything. At that time traffic slowed down. I turned on my hazard lights and barely get over to shoulder without an accident. It was coasting with no brakes then there was this downhill slope. The speed picked up. I was praying that no other car got in front of me. A car did get in front of me but it quickly got back over. I thought I was going to have to drive the car into the dessert in order to stop it if the shoulder ran out. I came upon an exit and got off. It was an overpass with a steep hill, that stopped it. Then at that time I was able to pull up the emergency brake. I was stopped in the middle of two lane traffic; one lane coming and one going. I was still in danger of being hit by another vehicle. I was terrified as well as my family. Stuck in the desert in an unsafe spot. Others stopped after an hour and moved the car to a safer spot. I called the tow truck, to be towed 194 miles home. It took the tow truck over two and a half hours. I was afraid it was getting dark. We had no water. My mother is 81 years old. I saw three other Nissan Versas stranded besides my. Once the tow truck got there and hooked my car up, got in, and had a conversation with him. He said last week he picked up three Versas. They said the same thing I said. Their car just shut off. Took my car to Nissan car dealer in Alhambra, California on Main St. to find out it shut down because of the CVT. There was a recall on August 2015. On 2013 thru 2015 Versas, I also had another recall on some part that went under the brake. I didnt get a letter informing me of the recall. When asked why not, they told me I was not in their system as owning a Nissan. I said I am a registered owner with the DMV. Dont the two share database? I dont believe it. There has to be a law. So just wait until I have a close encounter or die to find out about the recall. Nissan has no remorse. They told me my transmission need service. After all that Ive been through, you would think they would take care of that? Nissan has this slogan, Ride in a Nissan with confidence. My first car at seventeen was a Datsun 510 brand new off the lot. Come to think of it, I had it long enough to just pay for it. No wonder they dont make them anymore. Nissan need to be put out of business. They are putting out bad cars that are going to cost many people their lives. They have poor customer service. After all that Nissan called me to upgrade a purchase on a new car, I said, Are you serious? I dont even like Nissan anymore. I will accelerate this complaint to social media. Im going to sue. I will try everything. Even a class action, because I know this is happening to thousands. We cant just sit still and allow any and everything to happen to us. If we dont stand for something, we will fall for anything. I will never buy another Nissan.

I own a Nissan Juke MY 2013, mileage of 67,000 km, ever since I purchased the car and I am complaining that it is not giving the full power even when I press on the pedal. I have missed the service for 10.000 km back in 2015 and when I visited them in December 2016 I asked them to do the major service and repair whatever is in the car. Everything went smooth, no issues in the car and I took it back. On July 19th 2016 I took the car there for a quick service and complained about the same issue. (Car doesnt give full power.) They got back to me with the fact that the CVT assembly have an internal defect and that my warranty will not cover it because of the missed service.I work for one of the biggest automotive companies as a Warranty specialist in the middle east office which means I know my rights and the customers right. This of course raised many questions: When I bought the car from Al Rostamani I was informed that the car comes with 5 years warranty / 100 km. Apparently the car comes with 3 years only and the other two years are insurance warranty. (Dubai insurance.) I did NOT receive or signed any legal; document which shows me the terms and conditions of this insurance warranty, only the terms and conditions in the service booklet which obviously doesnt say: Your warranty will be void if you missed a service.I asked the service advisor in Dubai: Did it fail due to low amount of transmission oil? NO. Did you find any metal particles in the transmission oil or the oil was burned? NO. And since they cannot disassemble the transmission, then how did they know that it was misused!!! The middle east office offered 75% coverage on the repair. And I do appreciate it but: legally speaking, is it fair to charge the customer for a product defect, the missed service have no direct impact on the damage, if it did then it would fail in December when I got the car there for a full check. I am completely disappointed in how they are marketing for these 5 years warranty just to increase their sales. I am definitely raising this to the consumer protection, as soon as I receive an official letter from the dealer in Dubai and Nissan middle east providing me with the T&C of my warranty and a valid reason on why the repair is not covered.

My transmission went out at 5 years old and 74000 miles on my Nissan Murano
My transmission went out at 5 years old and 74000 miles on my Nissan Murano. There were absolutely no positive comments about Nissan the corporation. After receiving the horrible news. The reason my vehicle felt like it was in neutral all the time was because the transmission was out. Patterson quoted me $5200. I called a local transmission shop and they said they would do the job for $4300. I asked Patterson about it and they said they would match the other shops price... WOW. Then I said, Well I may have definitely not had $5200 but I still dont have $4300 so I decided to call Nissan the corporation. Still within the years warranty but not the mileage warranty. They did not have to do anything. I went through the process of the phone answering service. Talked to one person then to another. The lady said on a Wednesday that she had 3 days to get back to me with an answer. All this time the dealership had our vehicle and had not been authorized to do the work. I felt like if I made it look like I could afford it by authorizing the work to be done that it would be a no brainer and they would not feel the need to help me out. Soooo all in all my vehicle had been at the dealership for one week now... The corporate lady calls and tells me that Nissan would pay for half of the repairs. Well that was not the whole repair but I felt grateful that I didnt have to come up with 4k. And plus I had already negotiated their repair shop down $900. Every little bit helps. I could not find anyone else who had the same circumstances that I did. Well I thought I would write this review because of how Nissan took care of me and so maybe someone else would find some courage to call and see if they would help their case. Nissan transmissions have had a rough path here over the past 10 years although I did not know that when I bought one nor all the way up till I had problems with mine. Once I authorized the $2150 which was my part then it took them 3 days and I had my vehicle back. Also I had already made up my mind that no matter what decision they came up with I was going to be nice and say thank you. Even though it wasnt the full amount I said, Thank you maam I appreciate it so much. I think she was totally thrown back and said, You know what let me give you my direct numbers and you can call me any time with an issue on your nissan vehicle... well there you go its pretty much against my nature to be nice when Im upset but hey Gods in control anyway right??

I leased a 2013 Nissan Leaf two years ago from Peoria Nissan in Arizona. At the time, the salesman told me not to worry about the battery because Nissan just replaces them if there is any problem. That is totally a lie, and Peoria Nissan will not be of any assistance to me with my Nissan Leaf that has a range now of 59 miles (maybe) in the winter with no heater on. Dont ask about how it fares in the summer - it is ugly to say the least. I now have one more year to suffer through this vehicle because Nissan says the battery charges up to 10 bars and must decline to 8 bars.We know that this does not take into account battery fade - in other words - yes, it looks good when it is first charged, but like all failing batteries, the range quickly decreases as soon as you pull out of your driveway. My lesson in all of this is that Peoria Nissan lies to its customers - yes I know I should not be surprised, and that the manufacturer is choosing to make folks keep a car that simply does not meet the needs stated by the buyer when purchasing the car. I expected somewhere in the range of 70 miles which would allow me to drive back and forth to my work site daily and make a couple side trips as well. This was all explained to the salesman when I leased the car. He is no longer with the dealership. So, I asked if the dealer would work with me on terminating my lease and getting a 2016 Leaf that supposedly had a better battery. Unlike the salesmans reassurances that it was no big deal to end the lease after 24 months, the dealer asked for the entire amount of the last 12 payments and the car. The explanation was that Nissan had changed its lease terms and that the residual value stated in my contract was no longer really valid. The upshot was that for over 900 dollars per month, I could get out of my current lease, turn in my car and get a comparable 2016 Nissan Leaf. Ha Ha Ha. I am laughing only because I am happy to share this saga with anyone who might be foolish enough to trust Nissan and buy or lease one of their vehicles. My advice - just because their contracts are preprinted - insist on adding terms that the salesman tells you in writing and have them initial them. You will then perhaps find out what the real deal is. Thanks for listening.

I am a current leaser of a Nissan Murano since November of last year. On June 2011, my automatic payment was withdrawn ahead of time, giving me difficulties with my budget. I spoke with a representative and canceled the automatic payments. On July 3, 2011, I sent a check of $831.93 to cover two months payments. However, for unknown reason check was delayed and I was receiving calls from different representatives everyday. On July 13, I got tired of the calls so I paid by phone and told them if they receive a check, do not cash it. On July 14, they cashed they check with the same amount, making my account go overdraft. On Friday, I spoke to Elvira, she told me I was going get the money back the next day, nothing happened. The next week I called with my complaint but people put me on hold and never came back to the line.I spoke with supervisor Darling and she told me I was gonna have my check the next day. Two days passed-by, nothing happened. I was hungry, with no transportation no money for food or gas and my account was overdraft. I called and spoke with Tamy, Megan, Steven, Carla, Karen, Rick and nobody did anything. I have struggled with no money. For almost two weeks everyday they said tomorrow you will receive a check. I reported to Consumer Affairs, it was useless. After almost 2 weeks I received my refund check, but no check for the overdrafts. The supervisors Rick and Darling, promised me that they will refund me the overdrafts. I checked my bank statement but nothing until now. I keep on calling them, they are never at the office. Representatives told me they gonna contact them and return my phone call and nothing. I am so disappointed at Nissan, this situation has put me on 2 weeks struggle of food, gas and transportation. Representatives of Nissan have ignored my complaints and lied to me, made fun of me with false statement, and put my economy in jeopardy. I will submit my complaint of this horrible action to any Nissan web site and complaints site as well if I do not receive a result.

But they never let me know that they considered my payments late. They never wrote to me to explain the situation. I purchased my 2017 Nissan Murano on 2/27/17 from Frank Fletcher Nissan, Joplin MO. Prior to 5/8/18 (I do not have this date or who I spoke with at Fletchers) but I stated to them when my husband drove the car and placed his arm leaning on the center console the drivers seat would rub against the console causing this annoying squeaking that was continuous until he changed positions. I was asked if my husband was a bigger man and I said yes 63 230 lbs but what does that have to do with it? He stated they have had several complaints about this and all the men were larger. I said that is no reason for the seat to squeak! We had other vehicles & not ever had this issue. So on 5/8/18 I took my car in and the service dept said they could and I agreed to let them install washers to tilt seat slightly and prevent rubbing. This seemed to work briefly but then it started again. Nothing like before but still it should not be happening. So I went back again to report it. This is my 1st brand new car and this should not be the way it is & I have never had a car that had this issue and I am sure I could have bought any other car & not had this issue. So I said if you cant fix it who should I speak with that might be able to assist me and at that time he gave me the 1-800-nissan-1 #. On 6/6/18 I contacted the 800 Nissan consumer affairs and the person I spoke with said they will send case to regional consumer affairs specialist to get in contact with dealer and investigate giving me a case # ** from agent #**. on 6/8/18 I spoke with regional affairs rep and he had authorized technical resource to talk with Fletchers and that my car was under warranty so call and make an appointment to take my car in. 6/8/18 I called Fletcher for an appt. They said they will need my car 1/2 day but he will get ahold of Regional consumer affairs and find out how to get set up with tech. 6/11/18 Fletchers called. Will get tech line assistance with them to get help on resolving problem. Appt set for Wed, 6/20/18, 10 a.m. 6/20/18 took car to Fletcher Nissan Joplin, MO. Service manager said will contact tech line and see what they can do. He came back to get me in just a short amount of time and said I could take car and he would call me to bring it back in once tech line calls them back to let him know how to resolve. On 6/29/18 I receive a call from Fletchers customer service dept asking if my problem was resolved to my satisfaction and I said no and explained I was still waiting to hear back from service dept at which time she transferred me over to the head of the service dept. The man said he had spoke with tech line and they were not to modify seat or replace it. He was told it is a characteristic of this vehicle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! At which time I told him I would NEVER purchase another Nissan again and it is a shame because my sister bought one just like mine because I liked mine so much until this and now they will never buy another Nissan either. I called 800 Nissan back and spoke with agent #** and asked for a supervisor. He said he will have a supervisor call me back no later than tomorrow. He did have me explain to him my issue so it could be noted prior to supervisor calling me back. 7/12/18 a supervisor called, left a message on my phone and said the dealership provided me with correct information. The vehicle is operating as designed and it is a normal characteristic. They will follow up with me tomorrow to make sure I received this message.7/16/18 Sammie called and I was not where I could talk so told her I would call her back Tuesday at 10 a.m. She gave me her direct #. 7/17/18 Sammie called me back at 9:40 a.m. Said all she could do was restate what I had been told which was it is a characteristic of this vehicle. I said I knew of other people per Fletcher dealership in Joplin that are having this same problem but I also know it is not every car since my sister bought the same vehicle due to my recommendation and hers does not do this so how can you consider this a characteristic. She once again said it is a characteristic of this vehicle. Call was ended! Case # ** 7/17/18 I called Sammie back. Left message to call me back - no return call. 7/18/18 called her again leaving another message with my # to please return my call and to this day still have not received a return call.

I bought a new 2014 Nissan Versa SV. The automatic transmission would not shift properly during accelerations. The accelerator pedal had to be goosed to force the transmission to shift to safe RPMS. I took the car back to the dealer and they informed me that Nissan does not repair transmissions. They will only replace with new transmissions. Nissan Corp. shipped to the dealer a rebuilt transmission. That transmission continued with the same identical problems as the original. I took the car back and the dealer and was told the transmission was low on fluid. The same problem continued. Approximately 8 months later that transmission stopped working on a major freeway during rush hour. The dealer replaced that transmission. The dealer and the Nissan Corporation informed me that the transmissions were not new but rebuilt ones. The car now has 50k miles on it and I continues to have the same shifting problems with the transmission. The Nissan consumer affairs division and the dealer began to show an attitude of frustration when dealing with me on this issue. They began to avoid me. I am too frustrated to chase these people down to get what I paid for. I feel I have been scammed out of18k I paid for piece of junk. I will never buy another Nissan product.

The transmission has to be replaced and we are not at all pleased that the transmission has to be replace for $3,500. Based on the value of the car, this was a hard decision to make. Nissan extended their CVT transmission warranty from 60,000 miles to 120,000 miles on the Nissan Versa because they knew about the transmission failures. My Nissan Versa transmission died at 132,000 and Nissan said they wouldnt do anything about it. When they thought I was going to hire a lawyer they seemed very responsive. I didnt hire a lawyer unfortunately and Nissan didnt provide any support for the problem. I had to pay over $4,000 to put in a refurbished transmission. The cruise control and the tire light stopped working a long time ago also. They should have covered at least some of the cost of the transmission because they knew about the failures. My previous car which was a Nissan Quest didnt have any transmission problems so I expected similar results and was disappointed with the Versa.

2011 Nissan Juke: So far I have had to turn my car in for 2 recalls. One was the engine and the second was the timing belt. The second time they had to fix my car. They told me they would be keeping it for 4-5 days! This wouldnt be a problem if they would give me a loaner car. However, they dont give out loaners unless you have 70,000 miles or less on your car. What? Why? My car only has 80,000. The only reason my car is in the shop is because of their faulty manufacturing and recall. The Town Center Nissan in Kennesaw, GA serviceman said I would have to call Nissan headquarters in order to get the rule overruled. OK... whatever.I call them and then it takes a day for them to get back to me to say they refuse to help me because I didnt buy the extended service warranty. Well, if I would have known what a piece of crap car and company I was buying from (I wouldnt have made the purchase) I would have bought the warranty. I asked kindly for them to make an exception because I am a good customer AND I am right at the line. Still they refused and had no other response except to say, You didnt buy the extended service warranty. What are you trying to do Nissan? NO Customer Service? Bought the used 2012 Nissan Sentra S in July and after starting to drive it, kept hearing a popping and clunking noise coming from the passenger side rear area. Pops and snaps when turning the wheel right and braking and straightening the steering. I have spoken with other owners of the Nissan Sentra and they have the same issues. Some customers have spent lots of money trying to resolve the issue but I think Nissan needs to step up and take the responsibility for a faulty design. Other Nissans owners are having the same issues. Scary to drive and seems difficult to diagnose, but may be coming from the steering or wheel area. I bought a 1989 Nissan Hard body pickup (D21) from a friend. The DMV (Riverside, California) allowed me to register it but said I must send a certified letter to Nissan Corporation to obtain the Title. So I sent Nissan a certified letter requesting a title and they sent it back to me without even opening the letter. Then the DMV said that I needed to buy a bond and they (the DMV) would make me a new Title. So I bought a bond and gave it to the DMV. Then I received a letter from the DMV from Sacramento, California stating that I would still need to contact Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to obtain a Title. My friend paid this truck off back in 1994. There is no reason that I know of for Nissan to withhold the Title. I cannot get in touch with anyone from the company. My registration expires in October of 2014. Please Nissan call me and lets get this problem solved.

I dont know why I never learn my lesson always coming back to this dealership. When I would search for car loans for bad credit, they would always come up. Been turned down 4x, the last humiliating incident, finally got approved through the help of a friend whos only supposed to cosign with me but ended up having the loan under his name only, my name - hopeless. So we drove home and just before the 2nd week, they called asking for my friends tax returns. Wrong timing coz this a few days before the long weekend. I was able to submit what they want right after long weekend. Now theyre saying bank got suspicious and asking for cosigner. I said, You guys are the ones who decided the loan be put solely under my friends name, and we kept you posted about the delay on the docs being asked so you can somehow keep your bank posted and now we are faced with this. My salesman said, Bank said no cosigner no deal. I said, Ok heres the key... TAKE IT. So they did even if I already put 3,000 miles in it in only a 3 wk time. What I cant forget is the humiliation of taking my stuff out under the heat of the sun and piling them up on the side of the guest parking while I wait for my friend to pick me up. FIRST TIME that I experienced such humiliation, although Im a BIG FAN of the NISSAN JUKE, and 2nd GENERATION NISSAN JUKE IS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR; NEVER MIND AND NEVER AGAIN. Thanks Nissan LB. We have a 2013 Nissan Altima that started having drivetrain issues around 85,000 miles. The unreliable, poorly designed CVT seems to be the issue. After getting 2 quotes from 2 different dealerships, (one at $3742, and the other at $3565). I asked the dealership to see if this could get covered under good will or for Nissan to cover some of the cost since the extended warranty covered the car to 84 months or 84,000 miles. The claim was rejected because they said the timeframe was too far out. Nissan knows they have problems with this transmission, otherwise they would have never been forced to extend the warranty on 2003 - 2010 Nissans for 10 years or 120,000 miles or the 2012 - 2020 models for 84 months or 84,000 miles.Nissan should be held responsible for covering a defected product that they continue to use. Please dont make the same mistake I did, do your research and do not buy a car from Nissan, especially one with this CVT system. Over the past 12 years, I have purchased 6 Nissan vehicles, with the last being in May of this year. In all those years, I have never been late on a payment and have sometimes paid my loans off early. Unfortunately, I filed for bankruptcy two years ago, which was granted. The only thing I kept from that was my Nissan vehicle. In May of 2012, I traded my 2006 Pathfinder for a 2012 Rogue and received financing at 1.9% from the dealership in California where I had purchased several other cars. Since then, I have retired from law enforcement and moved my family to Bowling Green, KY. On 11/07/12, we went to the local dealership to look at the new Nissan Pathfinders. At that time, while investigating trading in our recent purchase for a new Pathfinder, I was told NMAC wouldn’t give me a reasonable interest rate again since I was lucky to get the one in May because of my bankruptcy. Having been a loyal customer and having spent the money I have with your corporation, I felt pretty cheap having been treated that way. If Nissan feels like they were doing me a favor for buying their vehicle, I will have to go somewhere else to purchase my next one.

In March of 2012, I purchased a new 2012 Nissan Versa sedan. I paid cash for it. In September 2012, I struck a deer while driving. My insurance company and body shop determined just over $7,000 in damage, not totaling the car. Within two weeks, the body shop had completed all repairs except replacing the backseat, which had been ordered from Nissan shortly after the accident. The body shop and I have been in constant contact with Nissan trying to get an estimated date of arrival on the seat. Nissan has no information except that the seat has been ordered. It has now been almost 8 weeks that I have been without my vehicle. The insurance only covered the expense of a rental car for 30 days. Never had this problem before they work on the air bags. I feel the dealer should fix the problem. I sent a letter 06-5-11 on this. Have not heard from anyone. I would like to fix it or go to small claims court.

I purchased the vehicle in 2010. I asked for a CARFAX report and received a CARFAX for another vehicle stating there is no accident or issue with the car. The vehicle was bought used with 36,000 miles. At 65,000 miles, my transmission started to give me problems and needed to be replaced. I got the transmission replaced. At about 75,000 miles, the transmission required replacement again and was fixed. Recently, at 84,000 miles, the transmission needed replacement again. My vehicle is covered under warranty till 120,000 miles. But this constant problem is a huge hindrance in my work and life. Ive contacted Nissan North America to have them only say they’re sorry for the issues and to try nothing. What am I supposed to do when the warranty is up and I can’t afford a $3,000 transmission repair? Im extremely upset by this and need actions to be taken to remedy the problem.

I purchased the new 2016 Titan XD Platinum... 62k. Within 30 days they offered the 2017 with a standard 5 year 100k warranty and a rebate of $4500 on the 2016s. After contacting Nissan, I was given 1000 Nissan points which doesnt even cover the cost of a warranty extension to match what is standard on the 2017. As for the rebate, I was given an analogy using Walmart as their example about things going on sale. Nissan offered no help for the loyal customer, but big discounts for potential customers. Seems a bit backward to me. Nissan wants to be respected like Honda and Toyota but lacks the substance and customer understanding to be a tier 1 player. To add insult to injury, now Im hearing that there are turbo issues with the diesel motors. Save yourself the disappointment by staying clear of Nissan.

The 2008 Nissan Rogue is only 2 years old and the battery went bad leaving me stranded. I was told that the battery is only warrantied for 1 year. Really only 1 year? I had to pay $132.00 at a Sears store to have a new battery installed, but this battery is warrantied for 6 years. I bought a brand new car so I wouldnt have these problems. If Nissan is going to use such below average parts, I should have bought a different car brand, especially since the warranty is so limited. I should have stayed with a Chevy!

3 weeks ago I went to get my car check at my mechanic place. Everything was fine.. Week later as I was driving my transmission broke and I did drop off at my local Nissan dealership. Next day I got the phone call from Nissan - my transmission is done but Im lucky was still under warranty which was extended by Nissan because of a lot of cases of broken transmissions. Dealership said I will be free of charge (that was Friday). I had to wait 4 days for loaner car because Nissan needed to send approval - got it. Tuesday I receive phone call my subframe is broken and axle rubber is no good so they wont charge me for labor and axle, just for subframe 1100$. When I start to question them how come something is broken now when day before only transmission was for change and everything else was fine besides transmission on top of my check up week before, they started to be rude and give me wrong info every hour. End of story for now is they put everything back with new transmission but not axle anymore and frame - my point is I know its hard to prove if frame is broken or not before you take transmission but I did check up and everything was fine so all I want is meet half way so keep your fingers crossed. Definitely wont purchase NISSAN again and customer service is horrible. I know I can write whatever I want. They dont care anyway but I want people to know and be another one to show how bad they are.

I bought a new 2018 Versa S plus in July. It gets good gas mileage and looks good. That’s where the good ends... The bad, The CVT transmission has an intermittent issue where it vibrates or shudders when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot find an issue. The main seal where engine meets transmission is seeping oil. The dealer refused to acknowledge it was oil (called it a liquid) and said Nissan will not cover repair unless it is dripping on the ground! Really???I’ve had my oil changed twice, both times at two different Nissan dealerships. Both times they overfilled oil. First time they pumped 5 qts into a car in which the owners manual states 3.75 qts and had to drain some out. The 2nd time they put in 4 qts and had to drain some out. The incompetence in these authorized Nissan dealerships is bewildering!I’ve had three 27 point inspection and not one mention of the oil that is leaking from main seal. The green box is checked for leaks underneath car! I will be changing my own oil going forward and saving receipts. At least I know it will be done right... I will not purchase another Nissan product based off of my experience with the brand and incompetent service centers. I will definitely be selling this car before warranty is expired.

Weve purchased our Nissan Primera 1.9 dci on June 29, 2007 in Hungary as a new car. Dealers Address: Nissan Balogh, H-4431, Nyregyhza, Lujza utca 19, Tel: +36 42 595 115, Fax: +36 42 595 114,). Our former car was a Nissan Primera, too .Last week we were going home by car with my two little sons when suddenly thick smoke came from every vent of the car. We could hardly breathe and my children were shocked. It was really frightening and the air bag alarm went on. Thanks to my composure I switched everything off and we left the car. I called a trailer as I didnt dare to restart the car. They took it to the Nissan service. It turned out that due to an electric circuit, all the wires got fire and they burnt down. I simply dont understand why the circuit breaker (fuse) did not work? The Hungarian Nissan service says that they cant give a proper explanation for this failure. My sons and my life were at risk. What if the fuel gets fire and the car explodes? We bought this car as a family car as we believed that a Nissan is a reliable and safe car for a family with kids. Now my cost would be about 300.000-400.000 HUF (1.000,-1.400, ). Im not able and not willing to pay that amount for the repair as I believe that it is a faulty construction. I want an explanation for the accident and a refund for my loss!

Nissan has known their transmissions were faulty and yet did not make the consumers aware. When our transmission had to be replaced, their response was for us to join the class action lawsuit. We paid $3500 for the replacement to Nissan and they couldnt offer to pay at least half. Only offered us lip service. We are very good car owners and usually keep our cars a long time without major repairs. Never Nissan again. We are not unique, hence the reason of the class action suit.

I own an Altima and the drivers and passenger sides floor boards are rusting through, as well as my flex pipe that connects to the catalytic converter. Last but not least, oil pan is also rusting through. This seems to be a defect with Nissan, yet they will not take ownership of the issue. After much research, I found that I am not the only consumer who has this issue. No one can tell me that after only 7 years that this is normal for a car to rust like this. I also own a 2000 Chevy that has not rusted like my Nissan. On top of my car being a rust bucket, it also has an issue where if you move my car a few feet and turn it off, it will not start. I have brought it to a local Nissan dealer for this issue and was told nothing was wrong with my car. Again, after researching this issue, it also seems to be a problem with the 06 Altima that Nissan will not take ownership of. I will never buy another Nissan again!

I have a 2012 Nissan Juke. There is an issue with my driver side door lock being frozen and unable to get keyless entry into my vehicle. Im sure this issue isnt the worst issue I can have, but its very frustrating that they cant do anything about it even though there are recalls on this vehicle for the exact same reason. I called Nissan Corporate and because my vin and part numbers are not on their recall list, there is nothing they can do. Obviously if Im having the exact same issue as all the recalled cars have, its definitely a more widespread issue than they think. I will never buy another Nissan again. Worst customer service ever.

I purchased a new Nissan pathfinder in 2005 and I did just had issues with it at 87k miles transmission broke and Nissan didnt want to take responsibilities for the repairs so I had to fix it myself. Exactly one year later the radiator broke and leaked coolant to the transmission and transmission broke again. This time Nissan said OK we are going to give you a free transmission, but we have to install it. I paid Nissan 4k dollars to install the transmission and 6 months later I had problems with the thermostat and I decide to exchange it and I promise to myself that I will never buy a Nissan vehicle in my life again. I would not have given a one star had the option been available. This is the second vehicle I have financed through NMAC. I had a horrible experience the first time in 2000 and decided to give it another shot. We purchased a 2012 Altima Coupe in April 2012. I have constantly had to call and argue with the reps simply to get my information. I was told I would receive in the mail documents regarding my payments and account information through NMAC. I never received any of this. It is December and I still have only been able to get info regarding my account by calling myself. No communication whatsoever has ever made it to me through the mail. I have requested it many many times for various reasons and still theres nothing. Also, their online payment system is a complete joke. More often than not, it will not accept my card info and I will have to retry at a later date. This has caused my payments to be late more than once. I also never receive my statement notifications by email that the reps have promised would be sent. Also, my rate on my contract from the dealership shows 0.9% and when I look at my account information through Nissan Finance Manager, it shows a 2.9% rate. I wonder who/when that was authorized.I will never finance through NMAC again, possibly never own another Nissan vehicle.

I bought my new Nissan in 2007, and has no problem until now with my CVT transmission @ 121.800 miles. I was concerned because I was over the extended warranty of 120,000 miles. I contacted Nissan affairs and open a case with them explaining my hardship of repairing the transmission of $4,300 stated from one of Nissan advisors. I was asked to provide the name of the advisor, location of the dealership, and the amount quoted. And within 24 hours, I would be contacted regarding a decision of if they can or cant help with this matter.Glory be to GOD. I received a call in 24 hours from the same advisor that quoted me the $4,300 dollar a day before stating Nissan will take care of the cost of my transmission which has 0 miles and I would only have to pay the labor cost and I also receive a warranty... I believe Jesus touched somebodys heart at Nissan Consumer and I thank JESUS for it. The labor cost is between $1,000 - 1,500 dollars but Im trusting that it will be fair. Im encouraging anyone that is having a difficult time with the repair of their car to Contact Consumer Affairs and see how they may be able to help them...

So I bought a 2014 Nissan Sentra with 40k miles. I learned how to drive a stick in a 04 Sentra so I really wanted a new version after I sold my 04. Anyways. After about 4 months of having the vehicle my take off and accelerating was slow, if not completely gone. It took forever just to hit 50mph and I better not be on the highway because the minute I hit a hill whatever speed Im going will decrease even with my foot completely on the gas. It was over the time for a oil change so I took it in to get done. Problem went away so I thought I was in the clear but then it came back the next day. I forgot to mention that the engine light and traction light would come on every other day.I went to the Nissan dealership in Florence, SC where my mother was just incase I needed to steal her car. They ended up having to keep my car for 2 days because the engine lights werent on and they couldnt get a error code. Eventually they figured out it was a electrical problem and my backup communication system was failing and because of the 2 issues my battery was being drained so I needed a new battery too. The price ended up being $533. I called Nissan, started a claim, and within 24 hours I received a call back stated my claim had been approved and Nissan was going to pay 90%. Whoop whoop. The only issue was it took 10 days for the dealership to receive their check. Now those 10 days do include weekends and the 4th of July. My claim was approved Wednesday but I couldnt get my car back until the following Saturday. Even though the dealership talked to consumer affairs they wouldnt give me my car back until they got their 90%. Anyways since it was 10 days when I finally came to get my car my tech just gave it to me and forgave my 10%. I ended up paying nothing at all.

I purchased my new Nissan in 2001. I bought it outright from a dealer in NJ. I have had several major problems with this truck since I purchased it. The first was the gas tank rusting and emitting fumes in the cab. Every time I filled the tank the smell was terrible inside and outside the cab. I contacted Nissan several times and they refuse to do anything at all. This cost over a $1000.00 dollars. A year later my oil pan rusted badly and was ready to fail and I had that replaced. That cost $900.00. My electric blue paint started peeling on the side of the truck for no reason at all and continues peeling. If I choose to have it repainted that will probably be $2000.00. I wont ever purchase another Nissan and I encourage anyone who is thinking of buying one, DONT!! You will be very disappointed. They dont care about their product or customer service. In two words, they suck!!!

I dropped off my car Monday, 8/1 Nissan Service Dept. for replacements & repairs that I waited for one month due to my front end collision car accident. I spoke Carrie Service Advisor, Tuesday, 8/2 and she was so nice saying everything is going to be done as we went over the repair list and I told her that I would like to speak to Mark the Tech when I come to pick up my car on Thursday, 8/4. She agreed. I went to the front service desk and asked to speak to Mark. Carrie comes instead with an attitude like what is it. She says he’s helping someone. I told her I would wait for him (My insurance company Hartford paid them to do the repairs and the extension repairs).I had to ask for alignment after they said everything was repaired. So only then did they notice the R/F camber and FRT Cross Camber was damage. Mark told me that he took it out for a ride and he thought it was ok instead of performing an alignment. Back to Carrie, she walked me out to my car and I asked her about the replacement on the driver seat belt which has too much slack and not enough tension. She said they replaced it but it turns out to have the very same problem as when I took it in to be exchanged. Carrie and I both sat in the driver seat and it wouldn’t lock. So Carrie gets a Tech and he sits in the seat and it doesnt work for him either. It wouldnt lock with even a rapid pull, and the new repair order said “new belt works fine” (I don’t think it was replaced – same problem). So the Tech says to me that the original manufacturer belt should never have locked, only the passenger side does for Child Seats (I couldn’t believe he said that to me. No one puts young toddler in passenger seat). Then the Tech says to me, “Believe me if you ever get in another accident the belt will work”. This statement to me is NOT ACCEPTABLE nor does it make me feel any BETTER. Why is it that the passenger seat locks and that was replaced the same time as the drivers seatbelt. So end result is that my seatbelt is no different than when I dropped the car off on Monday, 8/1 to be replaced as promised. I believe Nissan is putting my life in danger. I do not feel protected. The tech said to me that I need to get over the fear from my car accident.I explained to Carrie and the Tech that I don’t feel secure or safe without the seat locking. So Carrie says to me to call 1-800- Nissan. And Carrie and the Tech walked away from my car. As I began to drive off the parking lot with amazement, the Tech ran out with a flyer explaining Seat Belt Function Stationary Check. It reads: Grasp the shoulder webbing and pull forward quickly. The retractor should LOCK and prevent the belt from extending further. And this action new happened.I went home and I called another car dealership and they said it should lock at least when I bend forward. Can you please HELP me - is this a faulty seatbelt and I would just like to talk to the tech Mark who did the work on my car accident. I have some questions & concerns about my alignment. I was to get a 4 wheel full alignment and they did a Thrust Angle Alignment, is that partial or full alignment. I would like a print out of the alignment before and after to see the results. I need to know if my car frame is ok. I asked for copies of the paperwork that I signed and the person at the service desk wouldnt do it me. They gave me the GUEST COPY. I would like copies for my Insurance Records.

As a person who purchased six (6) high end Nissans, I was treated like crap when I lost my job. The payment extension that was supposedly mailed out didnt show up. After 2 weeks and at least 2 calls, Im getting really frustrated. It took nearly 3 weeks to receive the one (1) sheet form. A few days after not receiving the paperwork, I called to request extension form be faxed to me. A few days and three calls later, I finally received the fax. I signed and returned immediately using priority mail (2 day). I confirmed with USPS that the package had been delivered in specified time. I had verification of receipt, and verbal confirmation after calling. Nissan did not process the paperwork for over a week after receipt. The form is one sheet of paper, and I returned it before specified return date, despite Nissans 2-week delay in sending.Lo and behold, I see my credit report and it has a 30-day late mark. I call Nissan. The representative stated, The return date doesnt mean we wont mark you late if we dont process your paperwork immediately. I tried disputing and writing a letter of dispute. However, Nissan just changed the date of the mark on the credit report. In fact, the date was changed 3 times, changing the 30-day late from from Jan. - Feb., Feb - Mar., Mar - Apr. Finally, I contacted the Better Business Bureau. After an inquest, the late was changed to January again; I just became tired of trying to fix the lie. Im not going to even get into the nightmare with Nissan sequel a year or so later, when the car was stolen. I really hope there is a class action lawsuit soon...Im in!! Nissan no more!!! If anyone knows of a class action lawsuit in the midst, contact me, please!
