Buy Nissan Automobile 2020 Nissan Titan XD
I have always wanted a truck and I really like purchasing my Nissan truck. It was reliable and it drives very good. I like the power it had to maintain a steady speed. It was good on gas to carry me far distances. My truck also had a stereo system in it which played very good. But I would add a DVD player to watch movies when Im on the road with my grand kids. I like the way it sits up high were I can see everything but I would also like to buy it with the windows tinted to keep the sun out in the summer time because I live in Florida. I would of also like more cup holders.
3 weeks ago I went to get my car check at my mechanic place. Everything was fine.. Week later as I was driving my transmission broke and I did drop off at my local Nissan dealership. Next day I got the phone call from Nissan - my transmission is done but Im lucky was still under warranty which was extended by Nissan because of a lot of cases of broken transmissions. Dealership said I will be free of charge (that was Friday). I had to wait 4 days for loaner car because Nissan needed to send approval - got it. Tuesday I receive phone call my subframe is broken and axle rubber is no good so they wont charge me for labor and axle, just for subframe 1100$. When I start to question them how come something is broken now when day before only transmission was for change and everything else was fine besides transmission on top of my check up week before, they started to be rude and give me wrong info every hour. End of story for now is they put everything back with new transmission but not axle anymore and frame - my point is I know its hard to prove if frame is broken or not before you take transmission but I did check up and everything was fine so all I want is meet half way so keep your fingers crossed. Definitely wont purchase NISSAN again and customer service is horrible. I know I can write whatever I want. They dont care anyway but I want people to know and be another one to show how bad they are.
I bought the vehicle(Nissan Navara) new in 2006. In 2009 (less than 3 years old) I complained about severe chassis rust. I was fobbed off but also told in writing Should you have any issues with corrosion of the chassis in the future, your vehicle is covered by a 12 year perforation warranty. Now the chassis has failed and broken in half! They say on 18/3/2015 this isnt a situation where we would be able to offer a gesture of goodwill because of your vehicles age and mileage and the fact that the corrosion warranty does not cover the chassis.
I got a 2017 TITAN I pay 441 a month for. I have embarrassingly made 2 of the payments in a loaner vehicle, had to cancel 2 family trips, and continue to be inconvenienced by Nissan both at corporate level and at dealership level. What ever happened to customer satisfaction? What ever happened to making the bad situation or experience right? NISSAN USA doesnt understand these concepts. Seeing everything that I have gone through with my truck has turned off two neighbors of mine from buying Nissan product.
I dont know why I never learn my lesson always coming back to this dealership. When I would search for car loans for bad credit, they would always come up. Been turned down 4x, the last humiliating incident, finally got approved through the help of a friend whos only supposed to cosign with me but ended up having the loan under his name only, my name - hopeless. So we drove home and just before the 2nd week, they called asking for my friends tax returns. Wrong timing coz this a few days before the long weekend. I was able to submit what they want right after long weekend. Now theyre saying bank got suspicious and asking for cosigner. I said, You guys are the ones who decided the loan be put solely under my friends name, and we kept you posted about the delay on the docs being asked so you can somehow keep your bank posted and now we are faced with this. My salesman said, Bank said no cosigner no deal. I said, Ok heres the key... TAKE IT. So they did even if I already put 3,000 miles in it in only a 3 wk time. What I cant forget is the humiliation of taking my stuff out under the heat of the sun and piling them up on the side of the guest parking while I wait for my friend to pick me up. FIRST TIME that I experienced such humiliation, although Im a BIG FAN of the NISSAN JUKE, and 2nd GENERATION NISSAN JUKE IS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR; NEVER MIND AND NEVER AGAIN. Thanks Nissan LB. That review is posted on their website. Customer Relations messaged me and left a number to call in case I want to further discuss and get help, but for 4 days Ive been calling but no ones answering. I thought they are testing me how far can I go about telling my ordeal, so Im escalating it to you.
The Nissan Micra is a nice little car, good on gas and easy to get around in traffic. It has none of the usual safety features that most new cars have but it is Bluetooth equipped.
As a new Nissan owner, I had always been told what great, reliable cars these were. Well, I am glad that I am leasing my car, and didnt buy it outright. I havent ever had a new car with problems. And saying that, I have owned both domestic and foreign. I have had problems with my transmission, suspension, and taking the car out of park since the first week of ownership. Had I known about the CVT belt problem with the transmission, I would have gone with my first choice in cars. The upside is that the dealership at Cool Springs, and Murfreesboro TN are about as nice as a person could ask for.
I found the recall and the campaign on the highway safety commissions website for the 2005 Nissan Armada fuel sending units. On 11/7/2014 my husband was driving my 2005 Nissan Armada at 3 AM on the busy 5 Lane Highway in Washington state at 65 mph. My SUV came to a abrupt stop in the middle of the highway. It would not turn over to start. The hazard lights would not come on. The state police put out 15 road flares and still they were both almost hit by three trucks and two cars. My Armada showed I had a quarter of a tank of gas. I had to have my sub towed to Campbell Nelson Nissan dealership in Edmonds Washington. Robert, the service manager called and advised me that the fuel sending unit was bad. It shows I have a quarter of a tank but I was really out of gas. John, the manager told me thats what he suspected was wrong with my SUV. John also advised me that there was a warranty on the fuel sending unit but it was only for 72,000 miles but at the least I feel that I should not get stuck with the bill because I bought the car used and had no clue that they had this issue or that it would almost cause the life of my husband or an innocent state trooper. I feel Nissan should open the recall and extend the warranty for the 2005 Nissan Armada fuel sending units. I know only certain 2005 models were in the campaign and recalled but this is what was wrong with my Armada the same thing Nissan campaign for. I want Nissan to cover the bill. Its an unsafe issue and if you guys do not reopen this recall Nissan is going to get somebody killed. If I have to take it to my Lawyer then so be it.
Bought 4 years ago. Always maintained. Engines light comes on at 115k and it turns out that the CVT is to blame. Now Im discovering that its very common for these transmissions to only last 100k miles. Its super expensive to replace. After more research it seems to be more of a ($4k) consumable part instead of something you could trust to last for the life of the car. This would be okay, only if the repair cost wasnt going to effectively total the car. And totaled because no one wants to buy a car that is unreliable. The resale value is so low because of these problems? When called, Nissan offered no assistance and was very tight-lipped about this being anything but a rare occurrence. This is definitely a steep drop from the reliability standard I thought Nissan had. Never again?
I cant tell you how disappointed I am with Nissan Consumer Affairs regarding a problem we have experienced with our 2005 Nissan Murano. Im referring to Case ** in which they told us that our car needed a transfer case replacement. Although the Murano is 9 years old it only has 24,900 miles on it. Nissan has quoted me $3,200 to fix this problem. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs (a gentleman named Will) because I did not feel a transfer case should go out after only 24,900 miles on it, even though it may be 9 years old. He claims they looked into this issue and offered to pay a token $500 towards the $3,200 repair bill. This seems extremely low, and that Nissan feels no responsibility for the mechanical failure of their cars. When I asked what would cause a transfer case to go out, Will told me he did not know and maybe we did not drive it enough, which seemed ridiculous. He then told me I had 30 days to either use the $500 or lose it. I told him I really did not see any option here since the car can not be driven. He however said I did, we could just walk away from it and that some people with 180,000 to 200,000 mile choose to walk away versus pay for an expensive repair bill. I told him our car with 24,500 miles versus 200,000 was a big difference. He said it was his job to relay this statement. We have had several Nissan vehicles and until now I have been very happy with them, however after this experience, we will be hard pressed to say a good word about Nissan and any responsibility towards the reliability towards their cars. This is a faulty mechanical equipment problem, not a time issue. Its obvious No one at Nissan Consumer Affairs cares but after this experience, I will never purchase another Nissan vehicle, nor will I probably ever use their Service Dept again. Extremely disappointed in Nissan!!!
I leased a 2014 Pathfinder May of 2014. My gas mileage was very poor. At 2500 miles, I was averaging 8 to 9 miles to the gallon. The car is rated at 19 city and 25 highway. I mentioned it to the service department and he said I need to get more miles on the engine and that it would improve. Well I dont expect to get 19 mpg but at least 15 to 16 mpg. I now have 11,000 miles on the car and am averaging a big 10.1 to 10.3 city and 12.6 highway. I am not a lead foot driver. I took it to my dealership and they said they would check it out correct any problems they find. After having the car all day, they claim there is nothing wrong with my car. Is 12.6 highway send up a red flag or what. My friend has the exact same car as myself, same model, year, and engine. He averages 15.9 city and 18.2 highway with his a/C on. I mentioned this to my dealer, they said to call Nissan consumer affairs rudely. Well I did, they tried to tell me maybe its the way I drive and look at my book from Nissan to get some tips on how to drive to get better gas mileage. What kind of tips can I get for highway driving? Your foot basically stays in one position driving on the turnpike at 65 to 70 mph. The woman at consumer affairs said to take it to another Nissan dealer for a second opinion and if they find nothing wrong then Im basically stuck with what I have. She also said the gas estimates are just that an estimated mpg. Does 12.6 mpg come even close to the 25 mpg rating of Nissan. If I dont get any solution from Nissan then I will put big lemons on the car with gas mileage I am getting and park it in front of the dealership. Maybe it will get someones attention. Well, thats where I stand at this point.
Overall experience of buying car was ok. When we were checking out the new car, I noticed dust in the engine compartment and requested that they wipe it clean. The salesman promised that they will take care of this during the detailing process. I did not check when I took the possession and later found out that it was never done. I emailed him with no response, meanwhile he keeps sending me emails about giving them a positive review. They gave me one wrong key for the car. I am trying to contact them to fix the key issue, NO response back from the dealer for over a week. Still waiting. Opened a case with Nissan Customer Service. Took them over 10 days to respond to say that they cannot do anything about this. Only thing I can do is take it to the dealership to evaluate the issue. Dealership is 100 miles away and no reimbursement of travel expenses.
I have a brand new Nissan Rogue. I live in Colorado and sometimes have to park under trees during the day for work. Other than that, the vehicle is kept in a garage and is washed frequently as I use the car to pick up business clients at the airport sometimes and want a good professional impression. Last week during a few days that seemed like spring here, a group of robins in a tree above my car managed to use my car for target practice. When I got in the car at about 6:00 p.m., I noticed the droppings and took it to a professional car wash the next morning at 8:00 a.m. on my way to work; only the droppings didnt wash off. The bird droppings damaged the seal coat and now I have dull smears all over my shiny new car. We hand washed, tried wax, took it to an auto body shop for their advice and then to the Nissan car dealer we bought it from. They said that they had seen this before from bird droppings and the only way to get it right was to repaint. This is a $27K car. Seriously, I cant drive anywhere where birds exist from now on or I need a new paint job? So here is where we are. Even if they do manage to fix the spots that exist on the car now, throughout ownership of this car, I will have to protect it constantly or expect to drastically reduce value every time a bird flies over! This is ridiculous to expect that paint on a vehicle can get totally ruined within 24 hours by bird droppings. Needless to say, this has and will greatly reduce the value of the vehicle. I am going to file an official complaint with Nissan and if they do not give any results, I will pursue this all the way up the ladder. Anyone else having this problem with new Nissan products?
Nissan tried to say that I was late on payment after I never received a bill. I made an immediate payment and the next one all within a week. Firstly, they didnt post payment properly and then when I complained about location of paper bills I require, they said that by law they do not have to provide paper bills? I never agreed to go paperless as I need these bills for personal reasons. They were very rude to me on the phone and basically provided they didnt care and attacked my credit.
Bought brand new 2015 Nissan Rouge. My tail light has been repaired 3 times due to condensation and currently not fix costing me gas, time, and unwanted mileage. Each time I have to take it to the Nissan Dealership, currently around 357 miles put on going back and forth. File complaint asking them buy back suv or replace SUV, and they said no and set up appointment number 4. If I wanted a problem SUV I would of bought a used one, since lemon law requires 4 attempts to fix it. I cant do anything but put up with the lies they have told me, therefore for all the stress, time, gas, money and mileage I give Nissan a negative 0. Will never buy another Nissan. Since I cant submit this without a star being check I will check 1, but I stand by my negative zero
Ive had the privilege of driving 3 Nissans because our family owns 3 models: a Sentra, a Vanette and an Exalta. I first learned how to drive using the Vanette. Simply put, its my favorite car brand. Ive also had the chance to drive other car brands, but I just dont get the same feeling as when I drive a Nissan. Ive been driving for 12 years and I hope that when I can finally afford to buy my own car, therell be an awesome Nissan car waiting for me to buy it. BTW - that Nissan Juke advertisement with the typo was genius. Kudos to Nissan for thinking of something brilliant to promote their SUV. Cant wait to see what they have to offer next!
I own a 2003 350z Touring and the outside door handles are complete crap. I dont know if this is planned obsolescence, but the fact that they are made out of cheap plastic and break all the time is ridiculous. Ive been to many Nissan forums and EVERYONE with this model car has had the same issues. Why has there been no recall if its such a popular issue? The plastic on the inside of the handle that holds the spring in place constantly breaks into pieces from the pressure. Also, the window motors have both recently gone out. I had to crawl through the hatch to get in my car today and since the hydraulics went out on the hatch, that made it that much more of a hassle. All of this and I have only had the car for 6 months. What next? I have owned many cars but this is my first Nissan and Ive never felt like there was planned obsolescence like I have with this car. Does anyone know how something gets recalled?
Leased a 2015 Nissan Altima that broke down with 4k miles on a day after it was at Legacy Nissan Service Department. I came to learn that the Gasket leaked, which made no sense at all. Then the manager informed me that basically the technician screwed up during the oil change and didnt do something right, which led all the engine oil to drop back out of the car. I am trying to have them replace the vehicle as it is fairly new but they are refusing to offer any solution or step up to the fault.
Our company has a 2018 NV 200, a commercial vehicle with 100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper commercial Nissan warranty. There are about 58,000 miles on the truck. On January, 26, 2021 while driving on a small residential road at 5 miles an hour, the passenger side curtain deployed. The truck did not hit anything at all. Our technician said it sounded like a gun went off. He couldn’t see anything. Had this happened on the highway, he certainly would’ve been in an accident, possibly fatal. I have been trying to work with Nissan to have them simply give us a loaner truck for the eight weeks that will be required in order to do a thorough investigation. Im not trying to cause them trouble but They told me I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF ANY LOANER TRUCK!!!.This is the worst handling of a highly explosive situation (no pun intended) that I can imagine. They also said it’s up to THEIR discretion to decide if I would get reimbursed. Furthermore, they said I may be subject to STORAGE CHARGES AT THE LOCAL DEALER UNTIL THIS IS SETTLED. Is this incredible? Dakota from their arbitration group has been assigned to me. No person could have less skills given the severity of this incident. I asked for just two things: a loaner truck and commitment to make sure that any defects be not hidden from the public. DISGRACEFUL. WHO IS SAFE IN THEIR VEHICLES????Heres the worst part. When I told them I demanded a loaner vehicle, they said the case was closed!!!! Mr/Mrs Dakota called the dealer and told them the case was closed and settled. Here is the warranty. Very clear. 5 years/100,000 miles (whichever occurs first). The Nissan Powertrain Limited Warranty covers the engine, transmission and transaxle, plus the drivetrain, as well as air bags, and related electronic control system. [*]
My lease was over and I turned in the vehicle, but Nissan and the dealers could not get together or work or cooperate on anything. Do I need an inspection? No, said Nissan because the dealership offered to buy the used car. According to the dealers, I do and they do it. Cool. They can inspect the vehicle when I turn it in. But then they dont, after all. NMAC and the dealership really jerk you around.During the lease, NMAC could not take my Visa for online payment, so I always had to send the check. After passing the inspection and escaping any costs, I was told Just turn in the vehicle, you have paid everything you owe. Three weeks later I was charged by NMAC almost $500 for a disposition fee! I have been a Nissan customer since 2001. I am pissed. I was considering leasing another Nissan in a few months. Screw that. Today, I do not want another Nissan vehicle ever. Merry Christmas, sucker, you owe us $500. What a way to screw your customers.
I purchased 2019 Nissan Sentra SV, and within 6 months of driving now my car doesnt pick up properly and I can hear machine noise from my car. Its just 1 year old and I am experiencing this issue. MY car heating also does not work fully, it takes at least 20mins. If I have kept my A/C or Heater on, then car does not go beyond 60MPH and I have to give maximum acceleration. Engine is faulty and Nissan Dealer is not ready to fix this.
I bought a new Nissan Pathfinder in 2001. I paid it off in May of 2006. Nissan is still holding a lien on my truck. I cannot get a clear title. Help.
I am having a bad experience with the 2002 Altima 2.5 engine. I have read several complaints that has the same thing in common. The faulty part that Nissan will not replace is the pre catalytic converter that has caused damage to my engine. This is a very expensive fix. I would like to be reimbursed of my out-of-pocket payments that I had to spend to fix the engine, amounting to $2500. I bought the brand-new car. Ive called Nissan, of course, but they told me that they could not help me.
2009 Nissan Altima Transmission - I just received a call from an Ashley and she said at this time Nissan couldnt offer any type of reimbursement for my transmission. Im just curious to know if they even took into consideration that I took my car to Nissan to have it looked at because the transmission was going into safe mode when it would get hot. We put it on the machine and there were no codes that came up on the transmission so I went ahead and had them change the fluids and filter and whatever it is they do for a transmission service. I leave the dealership and I smell fluid but thought nothing of it. I drive my 60 miles home and the next morning my husband drives his 48 miles to work. When I go outside to take my daughter to school there is a big puddle of transmission fluid in my drive way. I call my husband and when he gets to car after work sure enough there is a puddle of transmission fluid under my car.I called the dealership and they waited till 6 oclock for my husband to drive the car another 50+ miles to see what was going on. Turns out a hose had split and leaked out the transmission fluid. They fixed the hose put transmission fluid back into my car and washed out from underneath car because it was covered in fluid. Then almost 2 months later my cars transmission has all these codes and I need a new one. I didnt ask for the full amount I just feel like Nissan should provide the customer service that they say they will. Theres been numerous problems with the 2009 Nissan and thats why they extended the transmission warranty and the steering lock box which went out in my car and left me and my daughter stranded and a tow bill. I just feel like Im being done unfair and put in a financial situation for servicing my car. I mean would the transmission of went out if it didnt leak out the fluid after the service? I tried calling her back and even left a voicemail but she still hasnt returned my call. I also read the letter online where Kevin Martin said that they were trying to make the repair affordable if car was out of warranty. I just feel Ive been done unfair considering the incident with my car after the transmission service.
Ive had a 2016 Nissan Titan XD for the almost a year now and have enjoyed the truck, however, I was recently in an accident and was in need for parts. I have been waiting on parts for over 2 months now with no promise of getting my part any time soon. Upon talking to Nissan I got some rehearsed spiel about the backorder and was given no information on where the part is, why its been backordered over 2 months or when I would get it. I have been paying rental car fees for the last month out of pocket because the insurance coverage of a rental expired so everyday Im out more money because they cant produce the part I need. Ive driven a Nissan for the last 20 years and have been satisfied until this problem arose. Not being able to get the necessary parts makes me not that interested in driving Nissans if Im going to have to deal with this kind of issue anytime, God forbid, I would be in a wreck or some other problem comes up. So if youre thinking of buying a Nissan just beware that this issue could also become your issue.
We purchased our family dream car and recently noticed an issue. Online I read the likeliness of the CVT transmission being the issue that many customers are experiencing so we took it to our local dealer expecting the recall. The recall covers several years worth of Nissan car makes and models, but did not include ours. At 88,000 miles we were told the entire transmission needed to be replaced, with a cooler for the transmission too. The grand total quote of nearly $5500. We only owe $4000 on the car. A hard working family of 4 now has a family dream car that they cannot afford to fix. I read online calling consumer affairs would be a joke, it was. I called and waited the 24 hours for Nissan Consumer Affairs to tell me that there was nothing they could do.What this customer heard, my family hears, what everyone I know will hear is that Nissan does not stand by their cars. Nissan does not care about my family. Only 88,000 miles and we have a dead car, along with a sorry theres nothing we can do. Obviously there is a problem with the CVT transmission that needs to extend to the 2011 models too, Nissan. Very disappointed.
I financed my car December 2015 and on April 1st 2017 my car broke down on my after stopping at a stop sign. It was a Saturday at 5pm so no service centers were opened and my car read a warning Chassis Control Error see owner manual. Well when you looked in the manual all it read was to contact Nissan. Have my car towed to Nissan 24 on Monday morning where I found out there was a recall on the CVT Transmission. I was informed that day that my transmission has given out on me. They told me they dont know what caused it but it COULD have been because I only replaced one tire on my AWD vehicle. Town Fair Tire told me I didnt need to replace all. Should I replace all four tires every time I receive a flat??? Then he said that they received failed codes on the transmission. My issue is why after 16 months of having a vehicle does the transmission go. I did the proper maintenance, so I just called Nissan Consumer to see if Nissan will take the car back. I feel like I was given a dud. I used to drive a 2009 Nissan Cube but after 6 years the transmission went on that too so I feel like these car are being made with poor parts. This will be the last Nissan I purchase.
As a person who purchased six (6) high end Nissans, I was treated like crap when I lost my job. The payment extension that was supposedly mailed out didnt show up. After 2 weeks and at least 2 calls, Im getting really frustrated. It took nearly 3 weeks to receive the one (1) sheet form. A few days after not receiving the paperwork, I called to request extension form be faxed to me. A few days and three calls later, I finally received the fax. I signed and returned immediately using priority mail (2 day). I confirmed with USPS that the package had been delivered in specified time. I had verification of receipt, and verbal confirmation after calling. Nissan did not process the paperwork for over a week after receipt. The form is one sheet of paper, and I returned it before specified return date, despite Nissans 2-week delay in sending.Lo and behold, I see my credit report and it has a 30-day late mark. I call Nissan. The representative stated, The return date doesnt mean we wont mark you late if we dont process your paperwork immediately. I tried disputing and writing a letter of dispute. However, Nissan just changed the date of the mark on the credit report. In fact, the date was changed 3 times, changing the 30-day late from from Jan. - Feb., Feb - Mar., Mar - Apr. Finally, I contacted the Better Business Bureau. After an inquest, the late was changed to January again; I just became tired of trying to fix the lie. Im not going to even get into the nightmare with Nissan sequel a year or so later, when the car was stolen. I really hope there is a class action lawsuit soon...Im in!! Nissan no more!!! If anyone knows of a class action lawsuit in the midst, contact me, please!
I purchased Nissan Rogue 2013 model. I am living in California with beautiful climate. From past 6 months on my car paint is peeling off very badly. Looks like problem with the paint. I called the dealer and discussed on this. They said warranty period over. Not able to assist. Customer support/dealer is not telling the root cause of paint being peeled out. Can some please help me on this?
I purchased my car about 6 months ago, a Nissan Versa 4-door sedan. My car ran fine up until I went in for scheduled maintenance and the dealer did a CVT reprogram. Now it is vibrating most of the time when idle. It was shaking so bad at one point that I can feel the vibration in my leg when my foot is on the break. Also on my hand when it is on the steering wheel. I only have around 38 k miles on this car. Prior to this update, I was really impressed at how my car performed almost like it was new. Now I am scared and very disappointed to say the least.
I have called your finance department Nissan Canada Finance on multiple occasions including today regarding an outstanding payment on my third lease with Nissan (2011 Maxima.) Payment overlooked due to family health issues. The outstanding balance was paid for earlier this year (2016) through your collection agency and payment confirmed by Nissan Finance. I am still getting letters and calls from Credit Risk Management Canada Ltd. asking for payment. I was told by your finance department to resolve it myself with CRM. (How rude and arrogant.) I have been wasting my valuable time dealing with various people regarding this issue. I find it very disturbing that your finance department would not contact the credit agency to confirm the payment. If the calls and letters continue from Credit Risk Management, I will be contacting my lawyer, as I feel this is a form of harassment. I am now on my fourth lease with Nissan and do not expect to renew or purchase with Nissan or Infinity in the future. Your finance department staff are uncaring, rude and condescending and have left me very dissatisfied and angry. UPDATE - Its now Feb 2017 and not one follow-up call or apologies. PS: I miss one payment after 14 years with Nissan and I am considered a criminal. They need to send their hounds after. Nissan - The Donald Trump of Car Companies.
I purchased a 2011 SL Nissan Juke a little over 2 years ago. I chose the Nissan Juke because, at the time, it seemed like the perfect balance of practicality and aesthetics for a car under 25k. About 1 year into ownership, the car began to lose its ability to retain a battery charge. Several times the car needed a jump start. I took it into the dealership, and was told the battery was faulty -- hard to believe for a car just 1-year off the lot. I changed the batter per the dealerships recommendations. At about 68,000 miles, I take in the car to get checked out because of a rattling noise coming from the engine. A diagnostic was run, and I was told that I would be looking at a $2500 repair to replace and/or repair the timing chain, which, according to the tech, I should do sometime soon. At 70,000 miles, the vehicle completely stalls out while driving and eventually decelerates to a complete stop. The car no longer started, and I had to have it towed to the dealership. Now, the Nissan dealership is telling me that I need a completely new engine because there was damage caused by the timing-chain, which end up costing nearly $10,000. Ive since then learned that there are countless other Nissan Juke owners that have had the exact same thing happen to them. Not surprisingly, a class-action lawsuit has been filed against Nissan on the exact same issue. I need information regarding becoming a part of a class-action lawsuit filed against Nissan for failure to disclose knowledge about a faulty timing-chain design, and subsequent failure to issue a necessary recall on the model to repair the defect.
I recently purchased a brand new 2015 Nissan Armada Platinum in mid-April. This is my 5th Nissan vehicle (2 Xterras and 3 Armadas). I have always joked when looking at other cars that I am a Nissan girl. The joke is over and I will NEVER, EVER purchase a Nissan vehicle again... EVER!!! We purchased the vehicle from our local dealership. They found the vehicle I wanted at nearby dealership (it was being driven/demod by the GM of that dealership), so they did a dealer trade. When I went in to sign papers and take possession of the vehicle (on a Wednesday), I noticed that the headphones, remote control, and owner manuals had not been put back in the vehicle by the GM. The next day, I noticed that the front end was out of alignment and called the service dept. to set up a time for them to fix it. I also noticed that the back of the 2nd row headrests were beat up (pieces of the hard plastic were dug out like something had been hauled in the back and dug into the headrests). The power lift gate would open, but when you pushed the button to close it - it would go down and just before it shut, it would pop back up like something was in the way. We noticed that when the lift gate was closed - on the left side, the space between the lift gate and the body was normal, but on the right side there was a big gap. It was a noticeable gap and big enough that my husband could easily put his fingers into the space. When we took the vehicle to the dealership we showed them the gap. The service manager made calls to Nissan, but was told the gap was within their specs of being ok, and since it wasnt leaking then basically we were told to deal with it. A few days later, we had a pretty lengthy thunderstorm. A day or so later, I opened the lift gate to my vehicle and inside the gap - I cleaned out a handful of wet leaves and debris. In less than ONE month of owning the vehicle, the issues we have discovered are: Lift gate gap, shotty body work on the roof where it meets the lift gate, beat up 2nd row headrests, GPS outdated - but Nissan will sell me the update for an additional $130, driver side seat belt will not release - has to be pushed repeatedly to unlatch, the front and rear air do not work independently from each other as they are suppose to, and the power window control panel on the driver door is sticking up out of the door, instead of being flush with the door (the passenger side is fine). I contacted (800)-Nissan1 and they opened a case. I told them that this particular vehicle was janky and had too many little issues for a $50,000 brand new, top of the line (according to them) vehicle. I told them I did not want my money back, I just wanted the same car without all the problems. I received a call today, from Justin with Nissan, to notify me that my vehicle was not eligible for a buy back. Basically - the lift gate gap was within their specs of acceptable. I was told the car was still under warranty, put it in the shop, and let them fix it. So... my brand new, top of the line vehicle has to go into the shop a month after purchasing it for multiple issues. This is what Nissan considers a quality product and great customer service!
I wouldnt give this company one star. My story is far too long and complicated to type out here. I warn anyone and everyone to steer clear of any Nissan product. Youll be so sorry if you do. Buy anything but a Nissan. I am still fighting with them 3 1/2 years later over a leased Altima that was a lemon from almost the beginning. They couldnt care less! Consequences? I wont even go there!
Stay away from Nissan. We purchased our certified pre-owned vehicle 8 months ago with 6,000 miles on it, and have had the check engine light come on 6 times. Each time, the Mass Air Flow Sensor being the error code. The dealership fixes it, but yet it keeps becoming a problem. The last time the check engine light came on, it stalled on the highway, nearly having us smashed by a tractor trailer. Yet, the dealership and Nissan continue to give us the run-around and refuse to cancel our loan, or provide us with a reasonable remedy, even after a formal complaint was filed. Do not buy any vehicle from Nissan.
The 2008 Nissan Versa we bought new from WESTON NISSAN broke the transmission 10K miles after the extended coverage NISSAN USA put in place after realizing the issue. The results is that owners of NISSAN cars CVT transmissions will inevitably have to REPLACE NOT REPAIR NOR REBUILD the system. Estimated cost to fix your vehicle in Florida is $4-5000.00 USD.
I bought my 2015 Versa - not happy. They screw me with warranties and the car is just the basic. When I fought them to cancel them I still owed a lot for this car. Not worth it... so dont buy this car... Then I got hit from the back and front within 4 month of getting my car so I decided to take in the dealer collision shop here in Katy TX Mossy Nissan. I had a bad experience. They did not do a good job. Never take your car in this shop. Everything was bad. For them to be a dealer they should have better bodyman and painters. How we found out? I got hit again so they had to take the bumper off and found the bumper had glue to hold it on. What kind of ** was that so people please check the work. I will never take it in the dealer or buy another Nissan cars. And the people there are so rude. When they did the problem they dont want to talk to you, so dont go to Mossy Nissan Collision in Katy TX. They do poor quality work. They need to fire all who do ** work. And also the manager that lets these car pass, his name is Matt ** # 281 496 2200.
I have worst experience with my new pathfinder, it shakes very bad at slow RPM. I took it to dealership. They kept my car about a week and returned after added 160 miles on it and told me it is all done, they updated the software but guess what, it didnt work. Very next day, I had to take my car again. It is still there, no answer, no explanation. Dealership said nissan has a issue with pathfinder, then why they need to launch this vehicle.
I own a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5L. The vehicle was purchased used back in March 2006. It had 27k miles on it. Through the years, it has been serviced at a Nissan dealership in Mt. Holly, NJ. In March 2011, a service engine soon (PO420) appeared. The cat converter was replaced along with plugs. The invoice was $1,132.92. The vehicle had 121k miles. Today, it has 152k miles and another service engine soon pointing to the same PO420. I am told it needs another cat. Thats only 31k miles on the replacement. I am aware of the original federal warranty on catalytic converters - 8 years or 80k miles - and that Nissan replacement parts carry only a 12-month / 12k mile warranty. However, as both a consumer as well as a logical person, since the original converter lasted 120k miles and 9-10 years, the replacement should have been comparable. My decision to keep the car at that point may have been different had I known of the unreliability of the replacement. Additionally, my vehicle is now experiencing excessive oil consumption - one quart every seventy-five miles. This obviously is a result of the degradation of the cat, particles of which have worked their way into the cylinders and scored the walls. This has occurred about a month ago since the second service engine soon light. I have contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs (Case# **) who offer no assistance. I have also reached out to Mr. Brian **, Sr. VP of Sales & Marketing of Nissan North America. I havent had the courtesy of a response. This company has lost me as a loyal customer. They will advertise otherwise, but Im sure that they really couldnt care less.
Paint is flaking off the front quarter panels, hood, area around the windshield, and the roof. Paint bubbles up and then flakes off. I have called Nissan Consumer affairs and was told to take it to a dealer for a diagnosis and then call them back. They said that they hadnt had a lot of calls for this problem on a Pathfinder. I have seen several complaints on the internet about this same problem in the exact same places on the vehicle. I am taking it to the dealer for their diagnosis and will call consumer affairs to see what can be done.
I purchased a pre-owned certified 2013 Nissan Pathfinder about 1.5 years ago and it was a terrible purchase. I have spent a few thousands of dollars on this car on top of having purchased an extended warranty. There were at least two recalls on this car that were addressed after I purchased the car, two window motor failures within the first year, the compressor from the AC is in the process of being replaced. I will say that these repairs were covered; however, I have had to pay a few thousands for items that were considered normal wear and tear which some items I didnt expect to have to cover so soon after purchasing the car and considering it was a certified car. Overall, I am so disappointed in my purchase and I do not plan on owning another Nissan car again.
Got 2013 versa and brakes have been changed three times already. The fan went out and car ran hot. The ac leaks water on my right food which is going to mold and mildew my carpet. The ac at times took about ten min to blow cold air and the weatherstrip around my windshield has came out three times. Ive only had the car about six months. Also I notice it sputters sometimes when in accelerate. They, well, most of them were rude. Said they would put me in a new car for extra $100 a month which I cant afford and they said it would be another versa!!! I am fed up.
I first contacted NMAC on Feb 24th, 2014 about a deferral for my loan of my 2013 Nissan Sentra SR because I lost my job. My account # **. I was given a 2 month deferral on my loan that day. The original rep I spoke with said that I needed to sign a document and send it back for their records. I was asked to send the document back before March 4th or my account would be late and I would be assessed a late fee, which I had agreed to. I called back on the Feb 28th because I hadnt received the document yet and it was getting close to the deadline of the account being late and I didnt want to get a late fee. The rep I spoke to on the 28th said the document was sent on the 26th and I should receive it any day. I was also was told the whole process would take 2 days. The rep I spoke with said he was waiving the late fee because of this delay. I asked if the document could be faxed over to me to expedite the process. I was told an original signature was needed so I couldnt get it faxed. Finally on the 6th when I still hadnt received the paperwork, I asked again if the letter could be faxed. At that time I was given a fax number and was told a late fee would be assessed. When I told the rep on the 6th that my late fee was supposed to be waived, she told me the paperwork I was signing specifies I would be responsible for any late fees. I signed the paperwork and faxed it back and also mailed it on the 7th. Im writing this today because I just received the document on March 8th and the envelope was post marked March 3rd which means it wasnt sent out on the 26th like I was told and I was going to be late anyway because of the 2 days it was going to take to process and now there is a late of $22.00. I am requested the late fee be taken off the account effective immediately due to the lack of urgency on the part of NMAC. I am very disappointed with service I have received.
Losing power in the middle of traffic. Now they are saying I need to replace the transmission which is gonna cost $4600.00 dollar which only have 6800 miles on it. I pulled over. Let it cool down. Its a 2012 Nissan Rogue that Ive only had one year. Ive read so many reviews on this same problem. There should be some sort of recall on this. Please I need help on correcting this matter. I have breast cancer and I need my car to get to my treatments and it is so dangerous for my car to be lagging in traffic. Please help me.
I have been a proud Nissan owner for the past 15 years. Never had any complaints until now. I am an owner of a 2011 Nissan Cube krom edition. No issues at all with my car until today: transmission failure. $4000 to fix it??? And this is after discounts. This is a ripoff. No extended warranty provided for my car because you claim it should work fine. What can I do? Well of course pay you the money since I have no choice. It is sad to say but you will lose a long time customer. I will be sharing my displeasure in social media as well. Thank you Nissan for all these wonderful years, until the transmission fails, then you rip us off.
We ended our lease with Nissan through NMAC and had a balance due on our mileage. When we turned it in we bought TWO NEW ROGUES. Since we send monthly payments toward the balance on the lease instead of paying it all at once, they notified the credit bureau saying we did not pay the balance! We are paying them for three cars! Also, when we bought the cars they did not clean them meaning there is residue on the windows where the stickers were. Not even one follow up call, no notices for check ups. Really lousy customer service AFTER you close the deal. Totally disappointed. Cars run fine, the way they treat people is the problem. We will not buy from Nissan again.
Nissan complaint: Where do I begin, well let me start by saying the car buying experience was amazing and the sales representative was amazing. Fast forward 71 days and the nightmare begins. So I bought a brand new 2021 Nissan Rogue in January and of course it was still cold. However as it warmed up and I needed to use the AC I realized the drivers vents would blow warm or room temperature air while the passenger side would be freezing cold even when set to the exact same temperature. I called Jack Ingram Nissan in Montgomery Alabama where I purchased my car and advised them of the issue. They set an appointment for the following week for me to bring the car in to be fixed, or so I thought. When I dropped my car off I was told even though I brought in an SUV they would only be able to put me in an Altima, though I was disappointed I went with it. To my surprise when I reached the vehicle I was to use it was filthy! Being that we are still in the midst of a pandemic I went back in and refused to take that vehicle. They then Provided me with another Altima. The next day I called 3 or 4 times to see what had been done to fix my car. Finally around 3 pm I received a call saying they could not detect any issue and that I could come and pick my car up. I was told that the temperature shown was not per vent, but the temperature in the entire car. This didnt seem accurate because one of the selling points was the dual climate control, but it was a Friday and due to the size of my family I couldnt afford to be in the loaner car any longer. So I went and picked up my car... I tried to chalk it up to maybe the car didnt do for them what it had been doing with me. When I pulled out of the dealership to head home, the drivers side was blowing heat to the point that I began to sweat. I made a U-turn and went back to the dealership and demanded to speak with someone to show them what was happening and see another vehicle like mine do the same. After waiting 15 minutes, the representative came out and witnessed exactly what I was referring to and to my surprise he seemed surprised which makes me feel like my car hadnt even been looked at in the 2 days it had been there. We then sat in another Rogue to see if this is indeed normal and what do you know the other car did NOT have the same issue proving that this is not normal for this make and model. They sent another representative out who appeared to be a manager and he proceeded to insult my intelligence by insisting it was operating as it should. I told them both that I was not satisfied and I would like it fixed. His solution was for me to turn my driver temp down and passenger temp up which made both sides blow the same temperature. I advised them that that was only a bandage not a solution. I bought a new car and I expected it to operate as it should. The representative then offered to reopen the ticket and assured me that he would be reaching out to me with a solution by Wednesday. WELL TODAY IS THURSDAY! No word from Jack Ingram. I called Nissan yesterday evening and filed a consumer complaint, the rep called today and said that Jack Ingram would be calling me within the hour to set up a time for my car to be reevaluated. That was 4 hours ago. At this point I dont know what to do, but I do know that I will never do business with Nissan and definitely not with Jack Ingram if they do not resolve this matter! On a lighter note the sales team there is amazing and after speaking with the sales manager. I will hopefully be able to have a SUV as a loaner whenever the service team can get it together and FIX MY CAR!
I experienced lie upon lie when I purchased my 2020 Nissan Altima at Thruway Nissan in Newburgh NY. Now, a year later, I’ve noticed my FM reception is on occasions full of static. Initially, upon a service appointment, I was advised all was fixed with a computer update. Not so! The problem continues as my car made a repeat trip to the dealer only to be told that there is no problem with the antenna or connections. They refuse to replace the radio even though it’s under warranty with less than 10k miles! Buyer beware! Buy elsewhere.
I purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue. Brand new. Have no problems until this week. The car wouldnt crank. Replaced battery works fine. Now the radio wont work. Speakers just went out. All the sudden a burst of smoke came from the vents that smelled like burning wiring. Called Nissan my warranty is out. Seen on edmunds.com that a recall is in place as of Jan 28th 2015 but hasnt been mentioned yet. The wiring harness is shorting out and can cause the car to catch fire. And nothing can be done unless I pocket out the 2,000 + grand to get it fixed. You pay 25,000 for a brand new safe car to drive your children around in and this is the repayment. I will never do business with Nissan again.
I have a 2012 Versa with numerous paint chips all over the vehicle. Consumer Affairs told me to have the dealer document it, which I did. They then said it was environmental and unless the manufacturer deemed the paint is defective, they cannot help. I have never had a new car chip so easily and I am convinced its due to poor paint and/or clear coat.
I bought a 2012 Nissan Rouge new in 2012. Last week while driving on a busy street 285 in Atlanta the car lost power and I almost had a few accidents. I took the car to a Nissan dealer in Buford GA and they said the transmission was gone. I have 82,000 miles on the car. I asked how much to fix, they said around $5000.00. I explained that other places said $3500, they told me the reason its this high is Nissan will not put in a transmission without a blower to cool the transmission fluid thats what is causing the breakdowns. I asked why was this not on my car when I bought it, he just looked at me. I said is this a defect, he did not answer. The blower is an additional $1200 for just the blower. I talked to Nissan and asked them to cover the whole replacement. They offered $1,000 which does not even cover the blower. This should and I am sure will be a recall someday. I guess I will park the car till then. Lastly in talking to the lady in warranty she had no clue about the blower and said she does not know cars but thats her decision. Can someone help me with this.
I would like to thank you for the most demeaning experience of my life. After approximately (3) weeks of being told to come pick up my car (3) different times, paying for insurance on a car I was unable to drive off the lot, producing every piece of information/documentation requested via e-mail and/or in person, never receiving one correspondence to e-mails sent to Ms. ** in the finance department; sitting in the lobby waiting to meet with the finance department for over (2) hours on (3) separate occasions, only to be told by the car salesmen I needed one more thing and come back tomorrow since it was now after 8:00pm; on one occasion I told the salesman I didnt have much time because I had to pick up my kids from practice by 8:30 I walked out at 9 because he was taking too long. I still sat there for over two hours when he assured me it would only take (15) minutes. On a different occasion I left to get something to eat and brought back dinner for the salesmen since we both had a long day; then being accused of falsifying documents by Ms. ** in the finance department because I misunderstood when she asked me for my PG&E bill I thought she needed Proof of Residency. I had no idea she needed to see the balance owed. When the salesmen explained this to me I apologized for the confusion and asked if they had a computer/printer and I replaced the document within two minutes; next, the salesmen informed me that I needed to lower the balance owed on my PG&E, which I did by making a $200.00 payment and making arrangements for the balance thing next morning; the manager called me and apologized since he had no idea I was still going through this he assured me this would be taken care of once he spoke to the owner tomorrow! All I could do at that point was cry after having to explain what I had been through and was STILL going through; 3 weeks later, I finally met with Keith in Finance 2/14/16 to sign the documents (they removed Ms. ** from the deal since she was so rude and cold to me the ONE time I actually did speak to her and the accusation/lie she told when they had to speak to her about how I was treated. I guess that was her justification; I left with the car. Happy, not so much humiliated and stressed, most definitely! I asked Keith if they could repair damage (a small crack) on the car, he replied yes. Justin (my salesmen) scheduled an appointment for me.When I showed up at the service department to drop off the car during my lunch hour, I was told I had no appointment and they dont make these types of repairs there so Id would have to wait until the salesmen came in at 2. I called the office to inform them that I would be late coming back to work. As I waited an hour for Justin, I was once again embarrassed when approached by a different salesmen. I said I was waiting to find out about having a crack on the car repaired, he asked, Why? Its not like you bought a $30,000 car. Then! After having the car for just over (2) weeks I was contacted by Keith in the finance department on a Sunday afternoon, letting me know the financing had fallen through and they needed the car back by Monday (the next day). I was in Los Angeles for my daughter. I stepped out of our hotel room so my kids wouldnt see me crying again. I contacted the finance company directly. SHE INFORMED ME THAT I NEEDED TO BRING DOWN THE BALANCE ON PG&E BILL BY $600.00, which I did just to keep my car for me and my children.Mind you when I first arrived after being convinced by a DJ who promotes events held on the lot to come there because everyone is so wonderful. The very first thing I said to the salesmen is, I have been through so much financially. I have horrible credit, a $1,500.00 down payment, and a job that I have been at for almost 16 years. If you cant help me I totally understand. He assured me that he would do the best he could. He ran my credit, laid out different terms so I said, Thank you, I cant meet those terms and left. They called me back saying THEY COULD HELP ME. Had I known I would go through so much humiliation, stress, tears and two migraines I would NEVER have gone back! I am a single mother. Paid once a month. I had to give all I had at that moment to keep the car (which included the first months payment I had set aside and money to get us through the month. I will be late on my first payment.
Four years ago, I was told a recall had to be done on my 2011 Cross Cabriolet. After the recall work was done, the roof would not close correctly. I have taken the car back to the dealer several times over 4 years. Each time the problem gets worse, not better. Nissan USA is no help. The dealer is no help. Nissan no longer employs mechanics; just employs inept part changers. No wonder Nissan is tanking.
Great car to look at but dangerous in city driving due to transmission. Nissans transmission would have to be the worst on the market. It does not work well in city where it has to change a lot. Very dangerous at take off, motor revs a lot and you go nowhere (does not change up), seems to just slip.
Nissan Titan 06 Mechanicals Problems - I recently got several letters regarding recalls on my truck. Let me say this first. Before all this repairs the truck was running just fine. I brought the truck to the Nissan dealer where we always been doing business. To get this manufactures problems done one of the recall was #10V517000 and ECU relay. And the second one #10V074000 fuel sender card. This service recall were performed by Auto Nation Nissan in Kingsland Blvd, Katy, after a few weeks driving in the Bellway 8 about 65 mph. And the truck start jerking and losing power with the motor on pressing the gas didnt work. After this I pull over to see what will be the problem and turn the truck off. After a few min. tried turning on and start normal I press the gas and I got more than 3000 rpm. When I start driving the truck for about 10 min. the truck start doing it again but at this moment the truck stall and was hard to drive until I could pull over again on a gas station I barely make it and I look for gas tank and shows 3/4 of gas. I fill up the tank and tried to go back on the road. But the same thing after a few min. truck was worse. I call the dealer for an appointment and brought the truck on Saturday September 30th. For an inspection. I explain the service person all the details and also at the same time the truck was having another issue, leaking water on the passenger side carpet. The service person told me that, they will check everything but I have to pay for this 3 diagnostic. I told them that, I have brought my truck for problems related at the work you have done in the truck. But if they find any problem that is not related with the issues the truck is having I have to pay for all the diagnostics. After three day in the dealer they call me and told me that the leaking under the carpet was the whole problem and the heater core is leaking coolant and that is why the truck was losing power and stalling. It will cost more the $1000 to get if fix.In my head something told me that this doesnt may sense, since the heater core only works if you put the thermostat to heat. So the heater core wasnt the problem in my understanding. I told them that I will take out the truck for a second word. They told me that I have to pay for three diagnostic according that the problems werent the malfunction on what they did. I told them I wont pay for three diagnostic. I knew they didnt inspect the truck. So the service person got in to argument and at the end he only charge me one diagnostic. At that point I just knew they are a bunch of liars and they wont fix what they cause. I told that I need an writing statement saying everything they say. About this diagnostic. After argument for more the three minutes he when inside the shop and talk to the person who did the diagnostic and put all the false statement. I look online and found a Nissan bulletin according that there is a leaking on the AC drain that is making the passenger floor wet, so I start inspecting where the pics show and that was the problem. It took me 5 min. to find the problem and $10.00 for parts to fixed, I drive around the neighbor and the truck still having the same issues. Except leaking water. Now I have a truck seating in my driveway unworking and I totally upset on Nissan service department for been useless and liar on customers like me. Just for no speak perfect English they think they will liar at me. I record and took pictures on everything I did. When I was fixing the leaking issues. So they have to at least fix at this time the truck. The right way.
I like it. Very roomy, large trunk area, sits high up off the road, good gas mileage, fashionable interior, lots of leg room, lots of cup holders and places to charge cell phones. I also like the in-car garage opener, Bluetooth, hands-free phone, back up camera, navigation, keyless start, heated seats, front camera, and air in the back seat. However, I would change the rear door feature to include a foot response, alarm when seatbelt is not fastened, wide area for camera to cover, and a smaller window visor for my Hum to be attached to.
I ask to add my wife to the account, they tell me I have to fill a new paperwork and pay over 200.00 and the process take 2 to 3 weeks. Thats is the only option they have, take it or leave, basically. Also they charge an extra 12.00, if you pay with a credit card. In the future I dont use anymore this company or any Nissan product.
2011 Nissan Juke: So far I have had to turn my car in for 2 recalls. One was the engine and the second was the timing belt. The second time they had to fix my car. They told me they would be keeping it for 4-5 days! This wouldnt be a problem if they would give me a loaner car. However, they dont give out loaners unless you have 70,000 miles or less on your car. What? Why? My car only has 80,000. The only reason my car is in the shop is because of their faulty manufacturing and recall. The Town Center Nissan in Kennesaw, GA serviceman said I would have to call Nissan headquarters in order to get the rule overruled. OK... whatever.I call them and then it takes a day for them to get back to me to say they refuse to help me because I didnt buy the extended service warranty. Well, if I would have known what a piece of crap car and company I was buying from (I wouldnt have made the purchase) I would have bought the warranty. I asked kindly for them to make an exception because I am a good customer AND I am right at the line. Still they refused and had no other response except to say, You didnt buy the extended service warranty. What are you trying to do Nissan? NO Customer Service? Teach me a lesson about buying extended service warranties?! Its not enough to be a customer who spent 18,000 on your faulty product?! This will be the LAST Nissan I own.
I have had my Leaf for just under 2 years and 10 months. It has a key-FOB for keyless starting system (push button start) and to lock/unlock the doors. My car did not recognize either of my keys yesterday while I was about 5 miles from home. I walked home and called service, and I was told that either the battery was dead or that the car needed to be reprogrammed to recognize the FOB. I could unlock the door with a real key, but there was no way to start the car without the FOB. Not only was there no back-up method to start the vehicle, I was told I had to bring the key-FOB to the dealer to have the battery replaced; I could not just change it myself. I found this hard to believe. After getting the car to Nissan service, it was determined that the key-and-car needed to be reprogrammed to recognize each other and that this was not something that was covered under warranty. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs and I was told that warranties cover something wrong with the car not the key. If the car doesnt recognize the key, and needs to be reprogrammed, how is this not a problem with the car? Also, certainly there should be a back up to start a keyless car. Also, customers should be able to replace batteries in their FOBs.
She easy to handle and the safety features are wonderful. And on top of that she great on gas and a smart car. Not to mention stylish. She has skid control. Everything is on your steering column full of safety features. You never have to take your hands off the steering. Equipped with backup view.
****AVOID NISSAN.**** AVOID NISSAN.**** I hate writing about this, but I told them I would so I will. I bought a Nissan Versa about 5 years ago. I wish I had used Google and listened to my wife. If Id simply done a search I wouldve discovered a design flaw in the transmission from that period of vehicles. I thought, Hey, an import. Good on gas and reliable, right? ... Not this one. What I needed was a vehicle that will be good on gas, relatively comfortable and reliable. The car I had previously was a Toyota Echo. I drove it for 350,000 miles and sold it for $300. I never had any engine or transmission trouble at all. Being a design flaw problem, I asked Nissan for help twice. I got nothing. They said no for any help. I wouldve even gone for a 50/50 on their $3800 transmission. $1900 each? Cmon you multi-billion dollar automotive manufacturer!! The car has 164,000 miles on it and is now, an expensive paperweight.Knowing that I put about 2500 miles/month on my vehicles, you know that it is a good testing ground. No abuse, just many highway miles. It is in my professional opinion that Nissan ... sucks. I encourage everyone to avoid Nissan, not because I think all of their vehicles are crap, I dont, but because they DO NOT stand behind a product they KNOW is flawed from the beginning. Im off to listen to Deftones and look for another car now. (whispers) ... Nissan sucks.
I used to have a 2010 Nissan Altima which was great, never had any issues so when my lease was up I decided to lease a 2013 Altima. What a mistake. Ive been with my car for about 2 1/2 years, since the moment it left the dealer itd been a disaster. Couple of months after I leased my car, I noticed I had a weird noise coming from the transmission. I took in the car for service so they can take a look at it. They said they ran a few test and told me nothing was wrong with the transmission and that it was normal that it was making that noise. Couple of months passed by and I noticed that when I would accelerate the car would get stuck and it would stop. This is something very dangerous and could of caused an accident. April 24 2014 I took the car in AGAIN for the second time. This time I needed a new transmission. I also had a noise coming from my sunroof and my back window. The guy at the dealer said it was just a clip that needed to be fixed. Its now March 2015, almost a year and Im back at the dealer for the third time, not for the transmission but for the AC! My AC is now broken. The service told me my compressor has a leak. You would think they would lend me a car while they get it fixed, correct? Nope, they didnt. They put freon with a dye to see where the leak is coming from because thats the way their warranty works. Guy at the service told me to bring it back in a few days to see exactly where the leak was coming from. AC stopped working today (its now 90 degrees in Miami), I took it in for the fourth time hoping they can get this replaced ASAP!! NEGATIVE! They told me to come back Sunday because they didnt have any cars to let me borrow in the meantime. Im sure this isnt the last time the service area is going to see me. My transmission is making noise again, my right side windows gets stuck and I have the rattling noise again from my sunroof and my rear windshield. Words cant describe how upset I am with Nissan. I pay a pretty good amount for a car that has had so many issues. I cannot wait until the day I can turn this cheap car! Im currently getting prices with other dealers. I will never lease with Nissan again. My lease will be up in a couple of months, Im currently getting prices with other dealers. Bottom line if you dont want to spend most of your time in the service department, dont even bother with these people.
Too bad we cant choose zero stars. CVT trany quit and they wont do a thing about it, even though they have been sued and lost, wonderful stuff. Never buy one, they wont stand behind their product because it isnt bulletproof. Grow a set Nissan.
Its a great car. Its easy to drive, its a great color and it was in my price range. It has very nice comfortable seats that heat up and its super comfortable to drive and ride in it. Its smooth and I love it. However, sometimes the tires feel really odd and really off and it simply makes me a little nervous to drive it or really be in it in general. Nevertheless, I genuinely like Nissan and I enjoy the vehicle.
Do NOT buy a Nissan. They made good on a car with faulty brakes that almost killed my daughter and gave me a Platinum Service plan. Then after 18 months the plan stopped being honored and when I call Nissan Consumer Affairs to correct the situation, they tell me the plan does not exist. Buy a Toyota or a Honda and hope they are more honest with you.
I purchased my 2017 Nissan Murano on 2/27/17 from Frank Fletcher Nissan, Joplin MO. Prior to 5/8/18 (I do not have this date or who I spoke with at Fletchers) but I stated to them when my husband drove the car and placed his arm leaning on the center console the drivers seat would rub against the console causing this annoying squeaking that was continuous until he changed positions. I was asked if my husband was a bigger man and I said yes 63 230 lbs but what does that have to do with it? He stated they have had several complaints about this and all the men were larger. I said that is no reason for the seat to squeak! We had other vehicles & not ever had this issue. So on 5/8/18 I took my car in and the service dept said they could and I agreed to let them install washers to tilt seat slightly and prevent rubbing. This seemed to work briefly but then it started again. Nothing like before but still it should not be happening. So I went back again to report it. This is my 1st brand new car and this should not be the way it is & I have never had a car that had this issue and I am sure I could have bought any other car & not had this issue. So I said if you cant fix it who should I speak with that might be able to assist me and at that time he gave me the 1-800-nissan-1 #. On 6/6/18 I contacted the 800 Nissan consumer affairs and the person I spoke with said they will send case to regional consumer affairs specialist to get in contact with dealer and investigate giving me a case # ** from agent #**. on 6/8/18 I spoke with regional affairs rep and he had authorized technical resource to talk with Fletchers and that my car was under warranty so call and make an appointment to take my car in. 6/8/18 I called Fletcher for an appt. They said they will need my car 1/2 day but he will get ahold of Regional consumer affairs and find out how to get set up with tech. 6/11/18 Fletchers called. Will get tech line assistance with them to get help on resolving problem. Appt set for Wed, 6/20/18, 10 a.m. 6/20/18 took car to Fletcher Nissan Joplin, MO. Service manager said will contact tech line and see what they can do. He came back to get me in just a short amount of time and said I could take car and he would call me to bring it back in once tech line calls them back to let him know how to resolve. On 6/29/18 I receive a call from Fletchers customer service dept asking if my problem was resolved to my satisfaction and I said no and explained I was still waiting to hear back from service dept at which time she transferred me over to the head of the service dept. The man said he had spoke with tech line and they were not to modify seat or replace it. He was told it is a characteristic of this vehicle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! At which time I told him I would NEVER purchase another Nissan again and it is a shame because my sister bought one just like mine because I liked mine so much until this and now they will never buy another Nissan either. I called 800 Nissan back and spoke with agent #** and asked for a supervisor. He said he will have a supervisor call me back no later than tomorrow. He did have me explain to him my issue so it could be noted prior to supervisor calling me back. 7/12/18 a supervisor called, left a message on my phone and said the dealership provided me with correct information. The vehicle is operating as designed and it is a normal characteristic. They will follow up with me tomorrow to make sure I received this message.7/16/18 Sammie called and I was not where I could talk so told her I would call her back Tuesday at 10 a.m. She gave me her direct #. 7/17/18 Sammie called me back at 9:40 a.m. Said all she could do was restate what I had been told which was it is a characteristic of this vehicle. I said I knew of other people per Fletcher dealership in Joplin that are having this same problem but I also know it is not every car since my sister bought the same vehicle due to my recommendation and hers does not do this so how can you consider this a characteristic. She once again said it is a characteristic of this vehicle. Call was ended! Case # ** 7/17/18 I called Sammie back. Left message to call me back - no return call. 7/18/18 called her again leaving another message with my # to please return my call and to this day still have not received a return call.
I am trying to obtain the necessary form to transfer my lease. My original request was placed on July 19. I was told the form would be faxed and/or mailed to me. Several phone calls inquiring about the whereabouts of the document have produced only excuses and no results. My last three vehicles have been Nissan products but I can assure you, based on this experience, it will be my last. May I have the courtesy of a solution to this problem.
Fluctuating Prices. No 2 Nissan dealers will quote the same price on a part. They vary between 2 and 400 bucks!!
I have a 39month lease on a Rogue - 4 months before lease end, I had to replace all 4 tires. So I did, at a cost of over $600 from the dealer. And whoever drove the car in/out of the service area put a big scratch on the back corner bumper. I had the lease inspection a few weeks prior to turn-in date and it was noted that the tires were mismatched (they put on H speed rated tires instead of S speed rated) and that I would be charged $628 for new ones plus another $100 to fix the scratch. I called the dealer since they were the ones who put the new tires on (and the scratch). They replaced the four tires with the right speed rating and fixed the scratch. I was assured that everything was taken care of and all I would owe was the disposition fee at that time. And when I turned it in, I was assured again that everything was taken care of. I always serviced the vehicle on time, kept it super clean and even turned it in 7,000 miles under the allotted amount. I got a bill today from NMAC for $1,198.80 for new tires and the scratch, plus the disposition fee. Of course, there is no contact phone number or email on the bill (I did find a number to call via searching the internet). I have contacted my dealer first and can only hope they will help resolve this for me. I am physically sick to my stomach and will never, never, ever lease again (especially from Nissan)!
I have a 2010 Nissan Armada that began running poorly 2 months. I took it to the dealership and a secondary mechanic. Both said the engine needed to be replaced costing over $10,000. Likely cause is flex fuel. Warranty was for 5 years. Nissan will not offset the cost. No vehicle should need a new engine after 5 years unless its garbage.Upon contacting the Nissan corporate office regarding my 2010 Nissan Armada that needs its engine replaced - I was shuttled around to various representatives. None could answer my questions competently. Worse off - they would never give their true names. The area code was for Tennessee, but the reality is that its an answering service in the Philippines claiming to be a regional office. Dont trust Nissan.
My 2015 Nissan NV200 Van just hit 105k miles and transmission failed. I go to the dealership and thats when I find out how Nissan has a CVT transmission issue. I hear theres class action lawsuits and all. Well little did I know when I purchased. So the dealership said it will cost me $4300 to replace the transmission so I called Nissan Corporation Consumer Affairs and they said Im out of luck. They only warranty 100k miles Im 5000 miles over. What a piece of garbage company that puts out a bad product. No one expects a transmission to fail right around the 100k miles mark. That is unacceptable. Im like can you all cover some of the repairs but now they only care about their bottom line smh.
I picked up my car on Nov 22 on Dec 1 display not functioning. Brought to dealer on Dec 3 said need new screen. On Dec 5 called saying adjusted is what is needed. Dec 8 bring in to let them do adjustment. Dec 9 display/screen does not work again. Dec 13 called to follow up, do not know when the dealer will fix this problem. Big headache, maybe I got a lemon.
In the short time since I leased my 2018 Nissan Murano, I have visited the dealer multiple times and called consumer affairs regarding front collision and ABS warnings. Consumer affairs DOES NOT HELP!!! They are worthless and the representatives are a joke. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER lease or purchase a Nissan again!!!!
I got my Juke last year. It doesnt even have enough miles on it to have the first oil change. The air conditioner was making a bad noise so I took it to Mobile Nissan this morning. The first young man that came out to help me was very polite and agreed that the air conditioner sounded bad but he told me he would have to let his manager look at it. His manager came out, never acknowledged me, got in the car, fooled with the switches and sat there! So I asked, What do you think is wrong with it? He said, You have LEAVES in it!!!! I said, Leaves? He said, Yes, I can hear them. So I said, So you when you get them out, everything will be ok? He said, Yes BUT thats not covered under warranty and its an hour and a half labor. When we break it down, we wont put it back together until you pay the bill! He was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked him how the leaves could have gotten in there and he just turned the knob and said, Thru the intake? I said I had never heard of anything like that and asked if he could show me how to get to it and he said NO! I said, Well it sounds like a bad design so it should be covered under warranty because I eke this car under a carport. He just walked off so I told him I would call Nissan and file a complaint with them. He said I could do whatever I wanted to do! I got this car because Im disabled and on social security. I needed something reliable that I wouldnt have to put money into. Now I have a nasty dealership to deal with.
I was leasing Nissan/Leaf 3 years. When I called to return instructions at end of the 3 year lease, they offered to extension on one year (with first 3 payments waiver) but they reported to all three credit bureaus 60 days payment late, and when I found it they credited payments as per agreement but my credit profile shows 60 days late not removed from credit bureaus Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. No response from Nissan. My credit score went down so bad I am not able to get pass any credit check. The incorrect 60 days late payment impacting my consumer finance and credit profile.
******************************************************************************************************** Published on other sites: https://www.yelp.com/biz/nissan-of-queens-service-ozone-park ********************************************************************************************************I have been taking my 2014 Platinum pathfinder since August 2017 for issues with the vehicle jerking and giving trouble to start. I was told the pulley kit needed to be changed. The following week the suv would not turn on,once it was on the engine light came on. I took the truck to Nissan of Queens , left the truck there for 2 weeks till the transmission came in. When i got my vehicle back i saw my push bar was dented on the passenger side. I took the vehicle back on Monday because it was picked it up while they were closing up so rushing it was not noticed until i got home. The manager Ravi said they were not responsible for the dent. ( My vehicle is always parked in a private driveway and did not have any dents on it) . I called another manager there Sando about 6 times left messages till now i never got a call back. I took my truck back the following week Sept 6th for jerking issues and i saw now they take pictures of each vehicle that goes in for service. They told me they cannot find anything wrong so i contacted consumer affairs. After calling them 3 times i finally got an appt for 10/4/17 . I met with the consumer affairs and as i sat down with him he told me he was only there to discuss the truck. I then realized that the manager Ravi had briefed him on the dent on my truck which occurred on Nissan premises. He told me he would take the truck for a test drive and will let me know what the issues are once he returned. He came back and said he did not experience any issues and he couldnt do anything. I explained to him i spent over $50 K(paid off in 14 mths) on this truck which i only have 3 years now and i was having all the same issues as before. He then told me he would check the fluids after 45 mins he came back and said he found debris in the pan and he would need to order a new transmission. They gave me back my truck 10/4/17 with all the same issues. I left numerous messages for consumer affairs but have not gotten a call back as to when my transmission will be replaced. Now 10/17/17 my daughter got into a accident because when coming to a stop the truck started jerking and hit the vehicle in front of her. I left another message for consumer affairs and awaiting a call back. I am still driving a faulty vehicle and a accident occurred because the the cvt transmission jerking. This will be the 3 rd transmission in 3 mths. Nissan should not be selling vehicles with faulty transmission.
Bought this truck about a year ago. Nissan charged me $31000 plus financing and extended warranty up to $45000! Tires were crap. Had to buy new ones @ 40,000K which should have been covered under extended warranty... No tire sensor in the spare tire so if you rotate with the spare your low tire light stays on. Thing rides very uncomfortable... Is it the wheel base or the suspension? Dont know but it feels like there are no shocks at all! Took it in for service lately @ around 60,000 just bought new tires and that service had the wheel alignment package. Anyway there was a problem. My low tire, traction control & 4 X 4 was disabled and the warning lights were on prior to the service about 2 weeks, so I stated the problem on the service order and let them know I was hearing grinding in one of the front wheels and I figured that was the source of the disabled safety features. The service tech said that one of the sensors in the back wheel was damaged and had to be replaced and he somehow determined that we had hit something and damaged it and it was not covered under warranty and wanted $500 for the part, even though it should have been covered under extended warranty! We refused to pay for the part and insisted that we would take it up with the warranty dept. so the tech did not address the original stated problem. He said until we repair the sensor the error code would prevent them from detecting other errors. By this statement I assumed that he obviously did not check out the original stated problem visually either! So he discontinued all other service work till we agreed to pay for the part... so we left... all safety systems disabled. Steaming mad cause the warranty dept was not getting back to us. 2 days later just after Christmas 2013 I rolled the truck into the ditch on an icy back road, injuring myself and my girlfriend and writing-off the truck due to the disabled safety features!
I took my car in to get the leather fixed, bubbling AGAIN. This has already been replaced once. My vehicle is barely a year old. They told me its because of the oil I used to clean it. The first and only time I have ever even attempted to clean my car was 3 days ago. Nissan cleans it when they service it so frequently. It is NOT because of the oil. I have already been to arbitration because the convertible top scrapes the seats when it goes up and down. Now while my car is under warranty something that was already replaced once they arent going to FIX! I will be calling the BBB again and maybe this time I will hire my own lawyer. I have never owned a Nissan and I never will again! Very Disappointed! Nissan does NOT stand by their product.
Let me start off by saying, I just came back from overseas, and I am now stationed in Fort Stewart, GA. I am looking into purchasing a brand new Nissan Altima. I searched online and made a few stops. I had stopped by your Hinesville store, and saw a car I wanted. I asked them to give me the write up, because I wanted to go through my own bank. A guy there, who said he was the manager, said he would get the pricing together, and give me a call back. I never got any calls, only one from someone named Julie, and she does not know what she is doing. She had no clue I was just waiting for the price. Then, the internet manager from there called me, and I told him that I just got a phone call from his co-worker, and I think no one really wants to sell me a car. On 10 November 11, someone ran my credit with out my permission. I told them up front if I were to purchase a car, I would not go through Nissan. I am not aware what the law is for that, but I am looking into that now. Next, your Savannah store call me (Steven **). He seemed up front, and seemed as if he wanted to really help me. I told him I live about an hour away, and I didnt want to go up there and go through what I did at Hinesville. So we stopped by, and I showed him the car I wanted, and told him all I need was the write up to send to my bank.He talked to his manager, and he came over to speak with me. I explained to him why I wanted to go through my own bank, and he was so rude and had such an attitude. I understand Nissan will make more money if we go through them, but what he wasnt trying to hear is that, I may not get approved through you guys. So Steven told me that his computer was not working, but he would email me the write up, so I can send it to my bank. I got an email Saturday saying, he can send it to me, but we would have to come back. I dont understand why the manager just couldnt give it to us right then and there. I dont live right up the corner, to drive over there, to pick it up. This service is so unprofessional and I dont understand why I have to be treated like this. Is it because I am a woman? Your Hinesville store made me sit there for over an hour, while I watched him help other men. In the mean time, I had 2 infants, and my sister-in-law waiting in the car, right in their face. I have been out of the states for a long time, but I know that this kind of service is not acceptable. Here I am, a woman fighting for someones freedom, who doesnt even have the respect to help me. I am serious about buying a car and they are not serious about selling.I did not allow anyone to run my credit. I told them more than once, I would not go through Nissan. I will be looking into consequences for something like this. I feel like I was discriminated for being a woman. I also feel like someone blew me off, because I didnt want to finance through Nissan.
Nissanconnect services is a joke. Its so difficult to understand what level and what options your vehicle has that the dealership doesnt even know. Nissan navigation is nothing short of pathetic. Its a very painful process to navigate to anywhere!! You cant even enter your home address unless its already in whatever ancient database Nissan is using. Nissan should completely abandon this system and work toward making Android Auto/Apple Carplay work wirelessly. For that matter all vehicle manufacturers should do the same.
For the last two years 2014 and 2015 and now into 2016, Nissan has changed - but did they make the change as a user friendly for customers - Hell No times 2. The upper management of Nissan must be a bunch of Bone heads or knuckle heads - your choice but - its one of these two for sure. I have called their CS number multiply times at different times of the day and week to talk to a live person and stay on the phone for up to 2 hrs and no one has ever answer the call. I know I am the bone head for waiting this time endurance but I wanted to find out if anyone would answer. They have made changes to their website over the last two years and it has got worst as whoever they hired to do this changes. It does not work. I should have been discussing the problems to a red brick wall and would have gotten more response from the bone heads at Nissan.
2015 Nissan Murano Warranty Repair. Nissan USA will not return your calls. They will lie and say they will call you back but they will not return your calls if they dont want to. They have been promising to call me back for weeks. They do not. They are unprofessional and unaccountable to anyone. They do not care about their customers. Once you buy the car they are DONE with you. Buyer Beware!!!
Contacted NISSAN about a bad CAT. Car is slightly over the 80,000 warranty, but vehicle was bought as a dealers demo and was told the 8,000 miles already on the car will not count against me so a full warranty will go with the car. NISSAN dealer refuses to do repair. NISSAN USA will not accept responsibility and inform dealer to perform under warranty. Go to dealer and let him diagnose, then call us and we will decide. They are refusing to talk to dealer or get involved in any shape, form, or manner.
I leased a 2014 Nissan Rogue and paid off the lease several months ago. I requested the title from the leasing department on October 23, 2019. When I called a month later to check on the status, I was informed that they had no record of my request. I sent in a new request on December 19, 2019 and they still have not even acknowledged that my title will be released. They keep promising to call me with updates and have never received a return call. All I am being told is that the title is being processed. I have a buyer for my Rogue and each day that they delay is costing me money because I have to keep the car insured.I will never do business with Nissan leasing again and I suggest that if you are considering leasing a Nissan to use another leasing company. This company is completely non-responsive and incredibly difficult to deal with. As I stated before, their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with in my life. Do not do business with Nissan Leasing!!!!
I have been trying to make my monthly payment my Visa card. Apparently, the third party vendor that Nissan uses for collection DOES NOT accept a credit card as a method of payment in California, New York, Connecticut and other states. Why is Nissan using this Mickey Mouse third party vendor for collecting payments? Now my credit will be affected because of non-payment??? I am trying to make my payment but Nissan/BillMatrix will not accept my payment because BillMatrix does not accept credit cards in California! I have look through the papers I signed when I bought my Altima Coupe. Nowhere in the paperwork does it indicate that I cannot use a credit card to make a payment! Now whats wrong with that?
We purchased a luxury vehicle through NMAC for the past year and they are terrible. I have been paying the same price for 2 years with no drop in payment. When I asked about it they fixed it. The next month I was late with a payment and it went back to the previous price with no explanation. I spoke with a so called supervisor, to which I was told it went back to that price because I miss a payment. That makes no sense. They have held my payment and also lost my payments and also applied my payment to someone elses account. We recently moved and needed them to send the title to the new state so we could register our car. Problem this was after calling her every few days to see where it was. This left us with an unregistered vehicle for 10 days. I called back and then I was told that they will not send the copy of the title until the payment is made. They should have said this from the start when I contacted them, 10 days ago. Was told that all the fax machine in the company were down after I wanted to speak to a manager about the rep lying about the fax. But I had my friend at the dealer send a fax and they received it. In summary--THEY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING I HAVE SENT THEM, and it is apparently not their problem. After changing my address with them 4 times over the phone it was never updated, until 2 months later. Now Im still waiting after another 6 weeks and speaking with 13 different people for the title to be sent. Will never ever deal with this company again!!
I bought a new 2014 Nissan Versa SV. The automatic transmission would not shift properly during accelerations. The accelerator pedal had to be goosed to force the transmission to shift to safe RPMS. I took the car back to the dealer and they informed me that Nissan does not repair transmissions. They will only replace with new transmissions. Nissan Corp. shipped to the dealer a rebuilt transmission. That transmission continued with the same identical problems as the original. I took the car back and the dealer and was told the transmission was low on fluid. The same problem continued. Approximately 8 months later that transmission stopped working on a major freeway during rush hour. The dealer replaced that transmission. The dealer and the Nissan Corporation informed me that the transmissions were not new but rebuilt ones. The car now has 50k miles on it and I continues to have the same shifting problems with the transmission. The Nissan consumer affairs division and the dealer began to show an attitude of frustration when dealing with me on this issue. They began to avoid me. I am too frustrated to chase these people down to get what I paid for. I feel I have been scammed out of18k I paid for piece of junk. I will never buy another Nissan product.
This is the best car brand for me and my family and I really like the radio system that came with it. The heat works great and the sound system is amazing also. The car drives good enough and any vehicle that runs works for me.
Way too long to explain it all. Took car in for oil change, was told there was a recall on CVT trans, they reprogrammed it. They made the trans skip. Brought it back, they said trans failed, then called 30 minutes later and said, “Pick it up. We do not know whats wrong with it and have no answers.” Was told to call in MONTH. Talked to EVERYBODY... no answers. No one knows. Then on my own took it to another Nissan. Was told NUMEROUS stories. Right now I am at 38 days. I am writing a book about my horrible experience. Not only THEY wrecked the trans but the treatment was horrible. I cannot include the details as there are too many. Anyone would be a fool to deal with these guys. My book will be out soon.
I leased a new car from Advantage Nissan, located on Old Country Road in Westbury, NY, which I later found out was in an accident and was repaired poorly. I asked the manager of the dealership to replace the fender which he agreed to do and gave me the number of his collision shop. When I called the shop they were rude and unhelpful. I sent a certified letter to the manager and told him I wanted to have the repair done at my collision shop, however, that was 3 weeks ago and I received no response.
They approved a one month extension, then pushed us one day over the 30-day mark by their own incompetence and now refused to remove this one and only credit glitch even though we were longtime, paying on time customers. Nissan is mean-spirited and inconsiderate to their customers and should be blackballed by all of us. In fact, dont even buy Nissan. I was going to buy another Titan, but this pushed me over into the Chevy column for all time no matter what they come up with. They might as well not even exist anymore. Theyre dead to me.
Last month (September) I was driving and my car would not accelerate. I took my car to Auto Zone so they could run a test on it to see what was wrong. The code they could not read. He told me to try getting my oil changed (I just got my oil changed July but I did it anyway). My car worked fine for a while. I got to a stoplight and again the car started not to accelerate again. So the next day I had it towed to my friends auto shop. He told me that my transmission had went out. The main issue is that I just had my transmission replaced by Nissan last July. I have a 2015 Nissan Versa.Nissan states they will not replace my transmission because Im out of the warranty. I think this is ridiculous. They can obviously see that there are issues with their transmissions because they have several other complaints about it. I am very upset because I have taken care of my car like I should but it still messed up on me and now I am without a car. I am currently appealing Nissan about not covering my transmission replacement. I should not have to go through this at all.
I had bought in May 2014, a brand new 2014 Nissan Sentra and it went bad. It had a major computer problem, factory glue leaking through the headliner, stitching unraveling from the fabric, and black paint coming off the radio console and Nissan bought it back with an intention for me to buy another, called a buy back. And then I bought a brand new 2015 Nissan Altima in Sept 2014 and the transmission went bad at only 5,000 miles, the cotter pin in the axle had to be re-tightened, the radio has static, there is a popping in the Bluetooth, and the speaker lid popped up. There is still static in the radio and there is still popping in the Bluetooth in the Nissan!!!! And Nissan says thats a normal operation. You have to be kidding me!!!I will never buy another Nissan. I dont recommend a Nissan to anyone. It was and is an awful experience. Nissan has stressed me out beyond belief. I had to go back and forth to the Nissan dealerships at least 20 times. Can you imagine two BRAND NEW Nissans going bad within six months? Nissan is not the same brand that it used to be.
The dash in my 2008 Altima is melting. The melted dash causes a glare when I drive and may have resulted in my recent accident.
So I have a Nissan Pathfinder and recently at 110k miles I had to get a transmission rebuilt. Come to find out Nissan knew of the problem but did not instruct dealerships to check it out. I had all my maintenance done at a dealership and not once was I told that they checked it out. Now I find out that because I just crossed the 100k in miles, they are unwilling to help pay for the repairs. I spent a little more on this vehicle in the hopes it would last like a Honda or Toyota. My mistake but that wont happen again!
My brand new car (Nissan Sunny XL petrol), right after the second free service, the car started having problem like heating up of the engine and frequent shutdowns. When checked with the service center, it assured me nothing was wrong with the vehicle and in a perfect condition. I, with my little daughter, drove the car to our relatives next day. On the way, it broke down again while passing a dangerous valley. It stopped more than 20 times during the travel of 200km. When I contacted the service station in charge, he said that he cannot do anything. When asked what should be done next, his answer was, HE DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING.I then called Nissan Call Center. With much effort and persuasion, they connected me to the local technician who, after inspection, declared that the problem occurred because of the FAULTY FUEL PUMP and DUPLICATE COOLANT, which the service center used. More than 15 days has passed and in spite of sending a number of mails, no action has been taken until date.
Very reliable but has an occasional issue. I think that the Nissan performs well. There is an issue with the aux input. Plus there are times when the radio display goes blank when on. I thought that it would have better gas mileage as well. Overall Im very pleased.
I have a vehicle that is out of warranty. My dashboard (not the vinyl) is cracking into several pieces. I brought it to the dealer who, after examining my vehicle, suggested I express my problem to the customer service division. My claim was denied, although this is clearly due to no fault of my own but rather by someone who did not observe the problem. This is a clear statement by Nissan that they do not stand by their product even if that product - that I worked extremely hard to pay for and kept up to diligently - is defective.
The 2008 Nissan Rogue is only 2 years old and the battery went bad leaving me stranded. I was told that the battery is only warrantied for 1 year. Really only 1 year? I had to pay $132.00 at a Sears store to have a new battery installed, but this battery is warrantied for 6 years. I bought a brand new car so I wouldnt have these problems. If Nissan is going to use such below average parts, I should have bought a different car brand, especially since the warranty is so limited. I should have stayed with a Chevy!
I bought a 2008 Nissan Rogue brand new on Christmas Eve of 2007. The transmission went out on the car in July of 2010, at 100,000. I was almost hit and killed by an 18-wheeler. Nissan claims the transmission fell apart and after several months, said they would replace it at no cost. In February of 2012, my Rogue began to show the same signs of failure that the first one did and I took it to the dealership once again to have it inspected. Approximately 8 days later, the service department informed me that the transmission would in fact need to be replaced again with only 66,000 miles on it. I phoned Consumer Affairs and they have been no help! I have written Mr. Carlos Ghosn a certified letter and he has been no help! Why won’t Nissan just admit my car is defective and make an attempt to remedy the situation?
