2026 Honda CR-V Fuel Cell

The 2026 Honda CR-V Fuel Cell is a unique version of the CR-V compact SUV that runs on hydrogen rather than gasoline. This vehicle represents one of the few hydrogen-powered passenger SUVs currently produced and is part of Honda’s long-term strategy to explore zero-emission transportation technologies.

Overview.
The hydrogen model is officially called the CR-V e:FCEV. It combines a hydrogen fuel-cell system with a plug-in battery, creating a hybrid type of electric drivetrain that can operate using hydrogen or stored battery energy. Instead of burning fuel like a gasoline engine, the vehicle generates electricity through a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. The only direct emission from this process is water vapor.

The vehicle is built on the same platform as the standard CR-V compact SUV, meaning it keeps the familiar body design, cabin layout, and practical interior space that CR-V owners expect. However, the drivetrain underneath is very different from the gasoline and hybrid models.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology.
At the core of the vehicle is a fuel cell stack that converts compressed hydrogen gas into electricity. The hydrogen is stored in high-pressure tanks inside the vehicle. When hydrogen passes through the fuel cell system, it reacts with oxygen from the air, producing electricity that powers an electric motor.

This process creates electrical energy without combustion. The only by-product is water, which exits through the exhaust as vapor or droplets.

The CR-V e:FCEV uses a Proton Exchange Membrane fuel cell system. This type of fuel cell is widely used in automotive hydrogen applications because it can generate power quickly and operate at relatively low temperatures.

Powertrain and Performance.
The hydrogen CR-V is powered by an electric motor rather than a traditional engine. The motor produces approximately 174 horsepower and around 229 pound-feet of torque.

Because it is an electric motor, torque is delivered instantly, providing smooth acceleration and responsive driving performance similar to a battery electric vehicle.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a single-speed direct-drive transmission. This setup eliminates the need for multiple gears and provides a quiet driving experience.

Plug-In Battery Capability.
One unusual aspect of the CR-V Fuel Cell is that it also functions as a plug-in electric vehicle. In addition to the hydrogen system, the SUV includes a 17.7 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack.

This battery allows the vehicle to operate in pure electric mode for short distances without using hydrogen. The electric-only driving range is approximately 29 miles when the battery is fully charged.

Drivers can charge the battery at home using a standard outlet or a faster Level 2 charger. With a Level 2 charger, the battery can be replenished in roughly two and a half hours.

The plug-in system helps reduce hydrogen consumption during short trips, making the vehicle more efficient for everyday driving.

Driving Range.
The hydrogen fuel tanks provide the majority of the vehicle’s range. The total estimated driving distance using hydrogen power is about 270 miles.

When the battery’s electric range is included, the vehicle can cover short trips entirely on electricity before switching to hydrogen power for longer journeys.

Hydrogen Refueling.
One advantage of hydrogen vehicles compared with battery electric vehicles is refueling speed. Filling the hydrogen tanks typically takes only three to five minutes, similar to refueling a gasoline vehicle.

However, hydrogen infrastructure remains limited in many parts of the world. Hydrogen fueling stations are currently concentrated in certain regions, particularly parts of California and Japan.

Because of this limited infrastructure, hydrogen vehicles are still considered niche products rather than mass-market transportation.

Interior and Technology.
Inside, the CR-V Fuel Cell closely resembles the regular CR-V. The dashboard features a clean, modern design with a horizontal layout and integrated air vents.

A digital instrument cluster displays vehicle information, including hydrogen levels, battery charge, and energy flow between the fuel cell and electric motor. The vehicle also includes a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity.

Higher-end features may include a premium audio system, heated seats, a power liftgate, and advanced driver assistance technologies.

Safety and Driver Assistance.
The hydrogen CR-V includes the same safety technology suite found in other CR-V models. These systems are designed to improve driver awareness and reduce the risk of accidents.

Typical safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, collision mitigation braking, and road departure warning systems.

Hydrogen Storage Safety.
Hydrogen vehicles often raise questions about safety, but modern hydrogen tanks are extremely strong. They are made from reinforced carbon fiber and designed to withstand very high pressure.

The tanks store hydrogen at pressures of around 10,000 pounds per square inch and are tested to withstand severe impacts and extreme temperatures.

Availability and Pricing.
The CR-V Fuel Cell is not widely sold like regular CR-V models. Instead, it is typically offered through limited leasing programs in areas with hydrogen fueling infrastructure.

The vehicle’s suggested retail price is around fifty thousand dollars, although leasing programs often include incentives such as hydrogen fuel credits to encourage early adopters.

Future of Hydrogen Vehicles.
Honda has invested in hydrogen technology for decades and continues to research fuel-cell systems as part of its long-term carbon-neutral strategy. The company plans to develop new fuel-cell modules that are smaller, more efficient, and less expensive to produce in the future.

Although hydrogen vehicles remain rare today, they demonstrate an alternative path to zero-emission transportation alongside battery electric vehicles.

The 2026 Honda CR-V Fuel Cell therefore represents a technological experiment that blends hydrogen power with electric vehicle capability while maintaining the practicality and comfort of Honda’s popular compact SUV.

I have been looking all over for a red 2022 ridge liner rtl-e truck. So I contacted several local dealers and put it on the web too. Last night got a call from a sales man Mark from Venice honda and told me that he just got in a red ridge line and if I was still interested, I jumped at the chance. We agreed I would come in at 1030 the next morning and that no one had an appt that was interested in this truck. He even told me he would grab the keys to this vehicle so no one would grab it before me, on the way down there (90 min drive) in a torrential rainstorm got a text from him if that I was still coming. I replied right away that I was going to be there on time, I also got two phone calls. One from Kyle the manager to see if I was coming and replied yes, I was very excited only to get there for my appt. Saw the truck in the lot and a couple were looking at it, I asked mark if that was the truck, he replied yes but that the couple I saw put a deposit on it.So all this trouble and he was lying to me, then he proceeds to try and sell me a pacific pewter ridgeline, I told him if I wanted that I wouldn’t be looking all over for this particular truck, I was so angry at this point. When I checked their reviews I read that this practice was quite common with this dealership. So I drove 3 hrs in a terrible storm to be lied to. I think people deserve better than this. I understand car dealerships dont have a stellar reputation but to get someone to drive 3 hrs for nothing but try to drum up a sale, I will never buy a honda again, I have owned 4 different Honda’s.

After 10 days, I got back my bike from the service center. But after 12 days, the problem again came. Then again after 10 days, I got it back. Now, the same problem occurred. I have nearly 200,000 miles on this car and have had only one major repair. Love it. Leather seats, heated, great space for hauling whatever, smooth ride, good gas mileage. The transmission did fail at around 175,000 miles but got a rebuilt one that works great (also we have a great mechanic). Recalls have been taken care of quickly. This car is a tank!

My wife and I were car shopping yesterday to replace her 2000 Honda Accord V6 EX model. We drove a new 4 cylinder Accord - interior and gadgets were nice but the car would surge between 5-25 mph. The salesman said he never noticed it before so we drove another one - same thing; they surge. We bought a new Nissan Altima. It was everything a new car should be.

I am highly disappointed in the service I’ve received from Honda Customer Service. I leased a 2017 Honda Accord Sport and have had nothing but issues from day 1. The dealership has done an exceptional job trying to resolve the issues, where Honda Customer Service lacks the ability to serve their customers and document cases open accurately. I’ve had issues from the gas tank release being broken in the first week to a constant wind noise coming from the driver side window or door seal. In addition, I had to take my car in once again for a heavy vibration when breaking. I’ve made several trips to get these things resolved and Honda Customer Service has a very unsatisfied customer on their hands. I will definitely reconsider going with Honda in the future and I have two of them. Hopefully Honda executives realize the lack of quality support with their Customer service group.

I leased a Honda in 2013. In March 2015 I traded the Honda in on another car. The dealership obtained a payoff from Honda Leasing. The payoff check was sent to Honda. They cashed the check and sent a free and clear title to the dealership. 6 months later I get a bill for $280 property taxes. They got their payoff. Dealership got a free and clear title. I dont owe them anything, hence free and clear title. They are now turning me into collection agency because I wont pay them. I have purchased several Honda cars over the years only to find, in 2019, how far Honda has fallen from its benchmark. I will never buy another Honda automobile. I had the great misfortune of choosing a dealership in Racine, Wisconsin (Racine Honda) to buy a 2019 Honda CRV. When I arrived to take delivery, I noticed that several of the options I had ordered were either not installed or not installed properly. When I pointed this out to the salesman and expressed my displeasure (sincerely but in a business-like manner), the salesman simply walked away from me and did not return. Neither did anyone else and, after ten minutes, I left the dealership. On my way home from this unbelievable experience, I called the dealership manager and expressed my displeasure with the salesman. Incredibly, the manager hung the phone up on me. The message was obvious: Mr. Customer, we got your money, now get out of here. With the dealership showing no regard for my problem, I called Honda corporate. Amazingly, Honda corporate would take no action to address my concerns. In short, Honda corporate told me that they created a file in regard to my problem, but that no action would be taken to resolve my concerns. When you make your important decision on how to spend your hard-earned money, I suggest you remember this experience. Honda will be only too happy to take your money, but as my experience relates, do not expect this company to come to your aid should you have an experience of the kind described here. Absolutely shameful!

In April 2011, at 120k, I placed my first transmission in my 2004 Honda Accord. The cost is $2345.00. 16 months later, the transmission failed. I placed a used transmission and the cost is $909.00. The cost is $676.00 for a salvage shop in Pittsburgh, PA to put the transmission in the car. It’s a used transmission. It’s no good. It’s not shifting gears and has no reverse. It’s still under warranty; another tranny was ordered for an additional $150.00. New labor cost for installing price quoted was $480. If there are no problems, the total cost so far is $4,410.00. When I purchased my Honda brand new in 2004, I thought I was purchasing a reliable car that I could maybe pass down to my son. Honda should be ashamed that they could sell with the knowledge of troubled transmissions.

March 2016, I received a safety recall notice from Honda advising me that the airbags in my 2008 Honda CR-V were defective and if deployed, could cause injury or death. The notice went on to say that the replacements parts to make the necessary repairs were not available and may not be available for months, but offered to provide a replacement vehicle if desired, at no cost to me.Now, since they had advised me that driving my car could result in my death, and offered free alternate transportation, I thought it would be foolish to continue to drive the car. So, I took my car to the dealer where I purchased the car from, Gillman Honda, in Schertz Texas. They had no cars available to loan, but offered to provide me with an Enterprise Rental. As there had been a major hailstorm in the Greater San Antonio area a couple of days before, Enterprise had no suitable vehicles. I was therefore advised to attempt to rent a vehicle on my own and I would be reimbursed up to $35 per day.I placed several calls and found a suitable vehicle at an Avis franchise operation. After a month, the car had to be returned in accordance with Avis policy, at which time, we rented another similar vehicle. About half a month into the second rental, I received a call from Gillman Honda telling me that they had made an agreement with Hertz to rent cars to Honda owners affected by the recall and needed alternate transportation. So, I turned in the rental car, and rented a vehicle from Hertz with Gillman Hondas approval for the remainder of the time Gillman was waiting on the necessary parts, which turned out to be in August. In all, I had 2 Hertz vehicles for about 2 months. (It is also necessary to return Hertz vehicles after a month for safety reasons.) After I received my repaired vehicle in August, I sent evidence of my out of pocket expenses (rental agreements) along with the Gillman invoice describing the repair. In September, I contacted Honda to make sure that they had received the documentation, to be told that my claim for reimbursement was denied because it couldnt be verified that I had actually paid the charges to Avis. I then sent copies of my American Express statements showing the charges and subsequent payments. I was told at that time by the case worker at Honda, that I would be reimbursed in 6 to 8 weeks. That was September 2016. After November, repeated calls have resulted in the same answer, Its under review. In December of 2016, I received a bill from Hertz saying that because Honda had not paid for the vehicle they had provided me, I was legally responsible all charges incurred. A phone call to Hertz revealed that Honda owed them MILLIONS of dollars and had not responded to repeated phone calls. It appears Honda does not intend to, or has been advised not to pay for charges incurred as a result of the Takata airbag recall. It is impossible to reach anyone other than the Its under review people who clearly cannot help. The parts are evidently available now, so you may not have to have alternate transportation for any length of time, but if you do, be careful of any financial exposure.

I could not see due to solar glare and accidentally hit a 4-foot steel pole at about 10 miles an hour. I was wearing gloves because it was very cold that morning. My 2003 Honda Odyssey airbag deployed and the chemical from the airbag burned holes through both gloves. I did suffer minor burns but basically the gloves protected me from very serious burns. According to Honda, based on my VIN, I do not have an airbag that necessitated recall. This is my 3rd Honda in the course of 20 years and I am very disappointed. I also feel so fortunate that it was a cold morning when the airbag went off.

I purchased a 2010 Honda Accord from Anderson Honda in Maryland. When I purchased my vehicle, I inquired about getting a bluetooth device installed. I was told that if I got the device as part of my purchase that it would be covered under 3-year 36,000 mile warranty that came with the car. I purchased it (the item is on my Vehicle Purchase Agreement) and subsequently, the car went from MD to CA with my daughter. The bluetooth device is now dropping calls, and my daughter went to get it repaired in CA. Miller Honda told her it was aftermarket, and they would not fix it. I called Anderson and my sales representative, Jim **, told me, “Oh that was if the car was here in Maryland.” I told him that at the time I told him I was taking the car to my daughter in California and he said it will be covered under the car’s 3-year 36,000 mile warranty. I am angry, because I financed this item when I could have paid cash for it and had it installed after the purchase. Also, I was told that this was a factory Honda item (Hands Free Link), and if I knew it was an aftermarket item, I may have gotten a NAV or more sophisticated item for my money. Finally, I am angry because Honda is not living up to its obligations and lied to me to get me to purchase this item that they now do not want to stand behind. I had a bad experience years ago with a Renault and have stayed away from companies that I thought were not reputable. I should have stayed with Toyota, I guess. I want no one else to get burned like this.

2008 Honda Civic EX - Sept. 2013 with 105,000 miles, the AC intermittently would not work. Refrigerant was good. Eventually by early 2015 would hardly work at all. Taken to Honda dealer where I purchased the car new. There were metal shavings that looked like sand in the system. $3,800 to repair. Wife drove the car exclusively so heres what most likely happened. Compressor went bad in 2013 but still worked and probably made some noise at some point and should have been replaced then. Our fault to some degree, but the point is these compressors only have a shelf life. Ive had numerous Hondas and never had compressor problems. Wish I had known, would have never bought the car. Also, I talked to the service rep and he advised me that HR-V have the same problem. Will do everything possible to have Honda reimburse all who had/will AC compressors going bad.

I bought a 2013 Honda CRV. The battery would drain after 2-3 days of sitting idle. I got it checked repeatedly at the Honda service department when I bought the vehicle. They kept saying the parasitic draw was within specification, and to disconnect the battery cables if it was going to sit for more than 2 days. So each time I park the car on a Sunday and dont move again until Friday (I walk to work), I have to disconnect the cables, or use a solar charger (I park underground heated parking at my condo). They said it was fine and just to drive it more, for 1.5 hrs at a time every couple days to charge up the battery. Ridiculous! I own two other vehicles (different brands) and they can sit for a couple weeks and start no problem. Never had this before, and have since heard it is common on Hondas. The guy kept saying wear and tear, but the fact is that it was the bolt that caused the chain reaction and not the belts. Bolts are still intact in cars that were built 50 years ago. When I mentioned that, he said I could reimburse you for the bolt which is $1.50, basically mocking me. I said to him that the reason the labor cost was so high was because of that bolt that flew into the engine and the mechanics supposedly had to spend 7 hours to fetch out (Honda Dealership). The guy was passive-aggressive and very unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and do some major research before buying a Honda. They will live with the reputation of having safe and reliable cars but when it comes to a problem they got to fix, they turn against you. My next car was probably going to be another Honda, not anymore. There are far too many car companies to stand for this. Their cars are supposedly overpriced because of their quality, but that is no longer true. Do some research. Oh, yeah, this whole thing happened while I was driving at 40 miles per hour and it was a really stressful and panicky situation since it all happened out of the blue.

There is an ignition switch recall - Same make, Same model, Same year as my Honda Civic, but they will not repair my ignition switch because my VIN doesnt match the recalled VINs, even though they have the diagnostic from the Honda tech saying that it IS, in fact, faulty and needs to be changed to avoid further DYING in the middle of a busy intersection or interstate! When I contacted American Honda, they told me that it was just Coincidental and even DENIED that that was the case until I had PAPERS showing that it was from their very own technicians! Jerks.

It started when my check engine light was on while I was driving on the freeway. The car started to jerk once in a while. Luckily I got home safe not to mention my toddler was in the backseat plus Im pregnant, too. My Honda Accord Coupe V6 is a 2001 model, but it only has 64,000 to it. My transmission needed to be replaced. I had contacted Honda Corporation to see if they can help me out since one of our friend had the same problem with a 1999 model. The case couldnt even hold a chance because the insensitive case worker told me I had no chance with a 10-year old car and the warranty was expired 3 years ago. I never received the warranty letter. Now I have to make a decision to pay the $4900 to install the new transmission or walk away from my car that hasnt been with the 64,000 miles to it.

My metallic gray 2009 Honda Civic has peeling and discolored paint on the hood and front fenders. I googled my issue and saw it was a common problem and covered under warranty. I took the car into my dealer and was told that the 7 year paint warranty had expired. I explained that I had never received a warranty notification and requested a warranty extension. My request was denied by the dealer and the Honda Regional Manager. I appealed to Honda American; my appeal was denied. I have been a loyal Honda customer for 23 years and am extremely disappointed with Honda for failing to stand by their product.

The remote starter has disappeared and it was showing that my subscription has expired even though I’ve purchased it. So, I’ve called multiple times Honda Customer service and was told each time it will be solved. Then, a manager would get back to me and solve the issue. Nothing was done, after numeral calls made, I’ve realized this is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I cancelled the subscription. Unfortunately, this is not something I’m used to as I’ve always had great customer service from other car companies.

I would highly advise against ever purchasing a Honda vehicle as they have very sketchy lease turn in practices. My husband (a former Honda technician) and I turned in our 2 vehicles with the intent of purchasing 2 new Hondas, however they did not have any good deals going on so we chose to go with another brand. A month after turning our vehicles in we received a letter stating we owe close to 400 dollars for what I would consider to be normal wear and tear on my husbands vehicle (one small dent on one of the doors, a small tear in the floor under the accelerator and a small crack in the windshield which had just been replaced a few month prior, and had they told us this we could have gotten it fixed free through our insurance.) Our person who sold us our new vehicles told us they are pissed because we didnt purchase Hondas again, oh well we would have if they were more willing to make a deal!Apparently on their website somewhere it says in fine print that before turning your vehicle in you can have your own inspection done. Who in their right mind would think to go looking for something like this, or even think that they would need to do this. Our vehicles sat on the lot where they were turned in for 11 days before they were inspected by someone from Honda, we did not turn them in with a crack in the windshield and dent in the door so this obviously happened while in their possession.Following a few letters from an attorney on our behalf acknowledging that we are willing to pay to replace the carpet (even though I feel it is normal wear and tear) but we feel the other things are not our responsibility, Honda sent the matter to a collection agency without even trying to remedy the situation. Honda did not even reach out to discuss this matter with us, they just dismissed it completely showing they dont really care about their customers being happy. Had this have been resolved in a better manner, in 3 years when our leases are up if they had good deals going on we would have gone back to Honda, however now we will NEVER purchase a Honda vehicle again. I will also advise anyone we know who is thinking about purchasing a Honda vehicle not to for the rest of my life!

What a joke. I leased a car from here for 3 years. 6 months before my lease was up I tried going to Honda because I needed a bigger car. They wanted to work no type of deal with me. Said wait out lease blah blah then told me my Honda loyalty could get me far? But clearly did not. I ended up going to Chevy. Worked out an amazing deal for me and I returned my Honda early and under the miles I was suppose to return it with. Of course Honda could fathom I went somewhere else and charged me a nice 375 which was explained to me, Oh that’s because you didn’t get another car with Honda... like what? I returned your car mint condition under miles and EARLY. You charge me a fee for not staying with you when you didn’t want to work anything out with me when I tried? A joke! Can’t stand this company and I tell all my family and friend to stay clear of Honda.

Also has some automatic feature which are great. The chairs are nice and enough space for legs. However, there can be some improvements by adding more power to the car. REALLY if is a factory defect how can I be held responsible for 40%. I had to pay out of pocket $458. Furthermore, I just got a quote from Safelite auto glass for $319.00. How can it be possible that I paid more than what the glass is worth. On top of this my car has 2 recall, charging system problem and battery sensor. My situation: I bought a 2013 Civic SI four door in black. I was super happy until I noticed a year ago the paint started getting cloudy and white. Today it looks a lot worse and after undergoing what they call an inspection which was just pictures on one of the employees phone. The case manager had the audacity to inform me that they cant help me because it looks like rock chipping. Should I laugh or just be completely upset? I can say I will no longer depend on this company when it comes to buying a reliable car. I am so disappointed! The cars paint is suppose to have extended warranty of 7 years because of the poor quality of paint or coating they decided to use to save a few dollars. Yet they call me to ask if I would like to trade in my car right after I drive off the Aventura Dealer in Florida. For sales they are quick but the customer service is just disgusting. I will have to get a lawyer involved because this is just unacceptable. Its sad to say I am not the only one with this issue. I wouldnt wish this upon anyone and would never recommend Honda to friends and family again. Getting the car painted out of my pocket is $1000+ and Its just not going to happen. I am still paying this car off as we speak.

In April 2012, I took my Honda Odyssey to be repaired at Lute Riley Honda in Richardson, Texas. I told them to do a multi-point inspection to find out what was wrong with my transmission and brakes. Upon completing the inspection I was told by Joseph, a mechanic there, that all he found was that the transmission switch needed to be replaced; the gasket, gear oil, pressure plate, and clutch needed to be replaced, as well as the cat converter. I agreed and also purchased a warranty for my transmission. My subtotal was over $6000. After all the repairs, I received my car back seven days later, thinking that everything he stated would be replaced. Earlier this year, the clutch stopped functioning. I took my minivan to the dealership for them to honor the warranty. I was told that the warranty did not cover clutch repairs. Basically, I was lied to. I am still trying to seek justice and get them to honor their word. I highly recommend that no one use Lute Riley for any repairs. They do not have the integrity to be in business and should not be trusted. Next time, I will buy a Toyota.

My CD player in my 2007 Honda Accord, which I use sparingly as I have 2 other vehicles and 2 Honda motorcycles, started giving an error message. Then, my CD player would not work properly. I can no longer eject the three CDs that are in the player. I learned that the 2003-2004 Accords had a service bulletin (04-027 dated 07/09/04) concerning the CD player which the same unit was used in the 2007 Accord. The Honda dealer here in Greenville, NC recommended that I take it to a local (tech) shop and have them do the service. The Honda dealership here in Greenville, NC would charge me $92.00 just to take the CD player out and ship it off to wherever they send it to for service. Then, I would have to pay to have it serviced and again to have it re-installed. I have learned (online) that there is a significant problem with this 6-CD Changer in 2007 Accords. Honda refuses to stand behind their product and wants to shift the cost to the consumer. I have been fairly satisfied with my 2007 Accord, which I bought from Coastal Carolina Honda of New Bern, NC (no longer in business). I thought that from here on out I would only purchase Honda vehicles for the rest of my life. Now, after also seeing how Honda failed to stand behind correcting a problem on my Honda Magna motorcycle, which also had a service bulletin regarding engine overheating because of lack of oil flow that they later re-engineered in newer models, drilling an additional hole in the engine head to allow for more oil flow, my mind has been made up concerning Honda and all of their products. I will no longer purchase any Honda product. I really believed that the company had more integrity than that. But, boy, was I ever wrong! I will soon sell my Honda Accord and motorcycles and kiss Honda goodbye. Life is too short to allow such aggravation in your life. Who needs a company that will not stand behind their own products? I am pretty conscientious about taking care of my things. The problems that have arisen from my Honda car and motorcycle, were due to no fault of my own. They were problems Honda created by their poor engineering and even when the company was made aware of such problems, they continued to pass the cost on to the consumer. Honda was not concerned about saving face. They were more concerned about getting as many US dollars as they could and not having to pay out anything to correct poorly engineered mistakes that they sold and passed on to the consumer. Buyer beware! Not even Honda is concerned about doing the right thing. I have purchased my last Honda product and I will make sure that I do everything I can to let others know to watch out if theyre even thinking about purchasing a Honda.

I purchased a new 2020 Honda Talon from Nash Motorsport, Mesa, AZ. I purchased the pre-paid service contract and extended warranty. I live in Mesa, Arizona and the vehicle has been ridden in AZ and once in Southern CA. The vehicle has never been in snow, sand dunes or extensive mud. Most of the driving is typical to the Box Canyon area in AZ or Queen Valley; sand roads and routes. Very rarely has LOW gear ever been used except for a few steep hills. The transmission would not stay in gear during a hill climb and I turned it into Dealer for service immediately not to cause more damage in November. The vehicle is still there. The warranty customer support is horrible to deal with and no escalation process except open claim. They call you back with same answer. NO escalation process. Honda has out right lied and said the vehicle was driven in a way it was not and the damage was caused by switching back and forth between low and high. This is an out right lie.

I have had my 2009 Fit since 2010 now with 67K miles. Put snow tires on and handles much better. Ive owned Honda cars my whole life, and have had a 1994, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2013. Now I have a two 2018 Accord, they will be my last Hondas EVER!! Heres a list of my issues so far in my first 6 weeks/2226 miles on the car: 1. Paint defect on hood. 2. Paint defect on roof of car. 3. Paint defect on trunk of car. 4. Failed backup camera/console unit. Issues so far in my daughter’s Honda Accord first 8 months/12000 miles on the car: 1. Failed backup camera/console unit. 2. Weather stripping literally falling off driver’s front door. 3. Rattling noise that the dealership can’t hear when I take it in.The district manager is saying its the environment. Not true! I have not one but two 2018 Honda Accords and its only happening one. If it was the environment both of the vehicles would be messed up. My daughter’s Accord paint isn’t messed up and she has had it longer than I have had mine. I have another vehicle that I drive. I drive the SAME route everyday for the last year and I had the other car since 2017, it doesn’t have paint damage either. Something is wrong with the paint on the Honda Accord and I am very disappointed that Honda isnt owning up to it and fixing my vehicle. I have been driving Hondas since 1994. Besides the paint I am very pleased but unless Honda fixes my vehicle I will NEVER buy another Honda in my LIFETIME.

I bought a beautiful 2008 Honda Accord in May 2008. Brand new. 7 miles on the odometer. I also purchased the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper extended warranty. My car now registers 91,000 miles. I bought the car in Los Gatos, CA. at the dealership. I lived in Los Gatos, CA. A few months afterwards the dealership closed and now I am expected to drive all the way over to Fremont, CA. I chose Stevens Creek Honda in San Jose, CA.Every oil change, new tires, maintenance was done there. And a year ago I moved to Ventura, CA.Now I have to choose a new dealership to change the oil, etc. so I chose DCH Honda of Oxnard, CA. From the start I have had issues with them. I am in the process of another Oil Consumption test. I found out that that, and the brakes, are the number 1 complaint on the 2008 Accord. At 43,000 miles Stevens Creek Honda installed the oil consumption software. My car is using oil. The life of the oil has nothing to do with the amount of oil that is in the car. My Life oil usage stated I had 90% but the oil dip stick doesnt even register the oil. I had only put 850 miles on the car. This nonsense has been going on for over a year. I wear a dress, I am not at liberty to constantly check the oil.Plus, I have owned three other Hondas and NEVER had this problem with a car or a dealership. I called to have the oil changed at 40% oil life and they told me not to change the oil because Honda doesnt recommend it! Oh Please! If I want to change the oil, let me! Three times I have been to the dealership to complain. The repair manager, **, tells me my car is fine. They have been putting a lighter weight oil in the car, the oil cap clearly states a specific weight oil. What is that about? I am no genius but the obvious is there. The lighter weight oil is leaking through the piston o-rings. I need an ring job. I was told by my service advisor that they had an abundance of the lighter oil and that is why they are using it. They are telling me that they are adjusting the valves and putting in the recommended oil, and the car should be fine. The car is at 91,000 miles. If I need a ring job later, after my warranty has expired, I will be out thousands of dollars!

I purchased a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback in November of 2017. Navigation system has not worked correctly from the beginning and other electronic problems have arisen since. I gave them 8 attempts to fix it, with my car being in the shop a total of 67 days. I started the lemon law process and after the final attempt didnt work, I requested them to buy it back. They sent me a letter declining to do so because they tried to fix it in good faith. They offered me a one time $1500 cash settlement for my time and to keep me a happy customer.I refused and filed with the state for an arbitration hearing. At the hearing, they tried to say EVERYTHING I did could have caused my problems- had to replace my window from a rock and that new window might be causing an interference, using a Bluetooth headpiece separate from the car might cause an interference, having my phone in the car might be causing an interference, using music on a usb drive could have corrupted files and cause an issue. It was horrible. The arbitrator sided on my side and they were told how much they had to pay me back. They sent me a letter stating in order to repurchase it back, they needed several items of information. I faxed all the information requested over the same day. A week later, I get another letter requesting one piece of the information to be sent again like I hadnt already sent it. I overnighted the entire packet to them again. Then, I get a letter saying they are happy to comply and someone would be in touch, but when I dropped off the car, I owed THEM more than $6000 from prior debt I had. I refused and a gentleman called me to explain why, which made no sense. Then the very next day, I get another letter stating that was in fact exactly how much I owed them and I needed to contact the state if I had any further questions concerning it. The state rep said she even chuckled at that one because there was no way they were going to tell me that was correct since it wasnt what the arbitrator decided. During this time, I left a total of 4 voicemails for the Honda representative, and two emails. None of these messages were ever returned. Last week, I FINALLY received a letter stating they were going to comply with the request at the stated amount and someone would be in touch. The very next day on Friday, I was in meetings for a total of 4 hours. During that time, I missed 1 call from Hondas repurchasing vendor about scheduling a time on Monday to return the car. I called her back when I got home, and we scheduled for Monday. She verified everything I would need to bring and I asked if I would be receiving my check at this time. She stated there was no check included in my packet. I told her I did not trust honda enough to give back the car without them complying with ALL the decision. The next morning, I get a call from the same rep saying she has the check as it was overnighted to her for me. The same day, I get a nastygram in the mail from Honda stating they had tried to call me, and sent a letter and had proof that I had received it (the same letter I received that stated someone would be in touch regarding scheduling). The letter continued to state that honda had performed its due diligence in meeting the terms of compliance, but my participation was critical and they were requesting me to extend my full participation in this matter in order to complete the process. (All this because I didnt respond to 1 phone call until 4 hours later, when they have never responded to any of my contact attempts.) The car is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow and I cant get rid of it fast enough. The local dealership has been wonderful (surprisingly for a dealership) and I originally thought about getting another honda because of this reason, but my experience with the actual company has made me swear off Honda for the rest of my life. This was my first and last one and I will take EVERY opportunity to post copies of these stupid letters for others to be aware what this company is really like. I will be posting reviews anywhere possible to warn people NOT to buy a Honda for any reason! Any company that treats its customers with such disrespect is worthless.

I purchased a 2012 Accord Crosstour last fall. It is top of the line, two wheel drive. After running 5 full tanks of gasoline, I averaged between 19.375 and 20.375 mpg consistently in that range (half city and half interstate driving). I called Eskridge Honda, where I bought it and told them my problem. I live in Shawnee, OK, about 40 miles East of Eskridge, the Oklahoma City dealer. The person at Eskridge told me to bring it in. I did and when the maintenance manager looked at the mileage, which was then around 340 miles, he said to me, sorry, Honda will not let me touch this car until it has 10,000 miles on it. I now have over 2,000 miles on the car (02/06/2012). I still get the same mileage per full tank. I think this is one of the best looking cars on the road. It is black outside with black inside trim. I really dont understand the 10,000 miles requirement before the car can be checked out. I have bought several new cars in my lifetime. My last three cars have been Hondas, an accord (top of the line with navigation) and the one before that was a Civic (top of the line with navigation). I got the kind of gas mileage the sticker stated, very good. They got good gas mileage during the first tank of gas that I ran through them and did the last tank of gas that I ran through them. That has been my experience with every car that I ever bought. Always a new car would get the best gas mileage when it was brand new than later on. This talk about it needs to be broke in first has never panned out with the experience that I have had. I am writing this email mainly to check if this in fact Hondas policy. I would like to hear back from you but not from an attorney. Just tell me if this is your policy that you wont check the car out until it has 10,000 miles on the odometer.

I am Raj ** and I am working in a private company. I purchased a new Honda bike to sell our house which is in Delhi. I purchased a Honda Shine from Race Honda Patpargani, New Delhi. Date of sale was August 14,2011. But it is not running straight on the road, there is a problem bubbling in my bike. I checked the bike the next day, August 15, 2011.In the showroom, they loose the screw of the handle and told me that my bike was okay. But the problem is the same. When I went back there the next day, August 17, 2011, I asked why is it having the same problem. The showroom manager told me that I should go to their workshop. So I went to the workshop on August 24, 2011 and met the workshop manager, Mr Ashwani **. He told me that the rear rim found the band because of the speed breaker and digs, he said they cannot do anything for me and I have to pay around Rs 3,700 for it. I was shocked when I heard it. Then I decided to complain to the Honda Bike Company. The telephone numbers are 2290911, 2290912, 2290913. I do not feel good about them, compared to other companys customer care. But after all that, one Honda engineer Mr. Umesh came, I was hoping he could help me. But he was so busy with his cellphone and he didnt listen to a single word I said, he just told me that my bike is not under warranty so I need to pay for the repair. The parking charge was Rs50 extra, so I was so unhappy that I asked him why do I have to pay for parking and a rim. Then he told me that I have purchased a Honda bike, and that he will not give me a favor. After all that, I think I took the wrong decision to purchase a Honda Shine. My bike is still in the workshop. What can I do now. Can I fire myself?

Hondas PHEV Clarity cannot properly charge at public charging stations, specifically ChargePoint with dual ports. It handles fine at home with a dedicated 30A charger. We bought the car to take advantage of an employee benefit of free charging (up to 3 hours), but the vehicle cannot sustain uninterrupted charging. Numerous attempts to restart charging will cause the vehicle to malfunction including inability to start the car. This will result in waiting for at least 3 hours to allow the system to auto-recover from the multiple plug-in/plug-out attempts. Issue has been diagnosed by a local dealer, but Honda is too slow to address the problem.

I leased a brand new 2016 Honda Odyssey in Oct 2015. Since then I have returned for service numerous times to 1) replace an ignition coil; 2) replace the battery two (2) times (4 additional times it needed to be jumped); and 3) repair of seat warmers. These have represented more than mere inconvenience. Most rational people would say this car is a lemon. Aside from one month lease payment, Honda America dismisses these problems as simply the result of mass production. My representative repeats the same scripted response each and every time I call them. To add insult to injury, I used Honda Roadside assistance, asking them to send a tow truck. What arrived was an old Neon with its side view mirror dangling off and obvious accident damage to the vehicle, with cables that could not reach from his vehicle to mine. Totally ludicrous!! They do not stand behind their products; they lie; provide shoddy products and services; and most alarmingly, dismissed me and my concerns as a consumer. Beware of their tactics and think twice about investing in a Honda. The Honda brand is not what it once was.

The 2018 Honda Civic Sport Touring that I purchased is the single worst auto purchase I have ever made, and I have owned more than several Honda automobiles and motorcycles. The build quality is horrendous on this new model, it feels as if you are driving around with the windows and or doors open at all times, the interior constantly fogs. The interior is extremely cold in winter and extremely hot in the summer, the climate is at 90% fan level at all times, of which the fan makes a subtle whirling noise. The collision mitigation system will brake randomly for you with no obstacles in sight, insanely dangerous. That same system if you attempt to disable you can but you only get like 10 disables before you can no longer disable for the following 2 weeks, really? A limit on how many times I can turn off this horrible dangerous feature????The OEM tires on the vehicle are constantly either blowing out or running low on air, why they put such a cheap standard load tire on this hatchback vehicle should be considered criminal. I have now had to replace 2 blowouts and Im re-filling a different tires air at least once a week, I had to purchase a tire infiltrator so that I dont have to constantly visit and pay the gas station for air.The wooden board that covers the spare tire in the trunk has curved and no longer sits flat, WT???? The molding/black rubber seals around the doors and jamb already coming loose. From what I have noticed on the drivers side door the interior section if you rest your arm on the panel itself it rattles, Im assuming this is caused due to the flimsy nature of the panel itself. The drivers side visor rattles?13, 000 miles in and Im counting down the months over the next year to trade this junk in, I will never ever buy a new Honda vehicle going forward. I would without any doubt recommend Hondas from 2010 and back because I have had great experience with the year models. Im sure Im missing something here as there is just too many thing to remember. I get in the car daily thinking whats next with this thing. Living off the build and name of years in the past. Just HORRIBLE.

Ive enjoyed my 2003 Honda Odyssey as a family car and also to haul garden materials. The seats are comfy and the overall driving experience is good. My main complaint is twofold. First, it gets only about 16 miles to the gallon around town/18 on the freeway. This is pretty poor by any standards. And second, the clear coat on the dark green paint job has failed; this began within 8 years of purchase. Large portions of the horizontal surfaces have peeled off, leaving a white residue, while the vertical surfaces still look very nice. I see other Odysseys around town of the same vintage and they all have the same problem. And a quick look on the web shows that this is a massive problem. I am looking forward to buying a new car soon but will not be buying a Honda due to the paint problem. Its a shame really as the car has performed well.

You say that... we are dedicated to supplying products of the highest quality, yet at a reasonable price for worldwide customer satisfaction. Sometimes you are not, definitely not in this instance. Your goal, so you say is to provide joy through your Business: The Joy of Buying: For those who buy your Products. Sorry, you have provided only sadness, mental harassment, agony and created bad environment and, possibly, of serious accident. You say that, to meet the particular needs of customers in different regions around the world, you base your sales networks, research and development centers and manufacturing facilities in each region. Furthermore, as a socially responsible corporate citizen, you strive to address important environmental and safety issues. This claim is highly doubtful as you have supplied a vehicle without bearing in mind the environmental conditions (at least in this instance) with improper finish and paint job, a manufacturing defect, leading to extreme corrosion which in turn endangers human safety.Such behavior, lack of quality consciousness, disregard for environment and safety, is helping Honda India to destroy the unparalleled legacy of greatness created by your Respected Founder Mr Soichiro Honda. Remember he also said real happiness lies in completion of work using your own brains and skills. Does the shoddy job provided by you make you happy? We refer you to our previous correspondence and would notify you that if you do not arrange to carry out complete corrosion repairs to the a/m Honda motor car free of cost within 21 days hereof, we shall institute legal proceedings in appropriate form against all of you without any further reference to you.The facts are as follows: Purchase of one Honda City was made on 13-14/02/2011 upon payment of full value to you. Owing to inherent manufacturing defects, leading to uncontrolled rusting, corrosion of body, even the front portion of the vehicle has caved in as shown in photos. This particular car, if not the batch, has rusted since last more than 2 to 3 years owing to a serious and severe deficiency somewhere along the factory line. The damage and responsibility thereof can be established by various tests available incl. salt spray tests. You may also wish to carry out tests at any world-renowned lab supervised by a leading expert of forensics in motor cars, specializing in rust/corrosion matters.Your statement formation of rust in car happens due to external natural factors. If that were the case then all cars Honda or otherwise - on Kolkata, if not Indian roads, would start rusting within 1 or 2 years of purchase as it has happened in your case. We own more than 4 cars even more than 20 years old - none is affected by rust as the Honda is, although used equally and parked in the very same covered garage. No stringent quality tests esp. of the paint job at various corners and undulations were carried out by you.The rusting started after 2, and further deteriorated within 3 years of purchase. Despite the vehicle visiting your workshop numerous times, you did not take any notice of the spreading and dangerous rust. Shockingly, only in 2015 after we sent our Honda to your workshop at your request (and after we were forced to complain to your Japan HO about the corrosion), you stated that some parts incl. underbody was rusted, totally ignoring the dangerous and unseemly rusting of the main body of the Honda! In the 4th year, the damage owing obviously to some sort of manufacturing defect by Honda India is even more dangerous than before. We have found innumerable complaints of rusting and corrosion against Honda City cars sold in India. You are surely aware of this fact.Damage is not caused by external factors directly but by manufacturing defect or owing to Honda not taking sufficient care during manufacturing process. Similar damage is seen in other Honda cars probably of same batch. Your excuse of warranty period having expired does not hold any water. You do not desire an amicable resolution of our concern and wish us to proceed legally in the interest of justice and fair play. The vehicle is parked in a covered garage in Alipore where not only 4 more cars of mine but numerous other cars of other owners are parked all of whom would gladly confirm that their cars have not corroded coz their cars are not manufactured by Honda. As a fond lover of my Honda, I ensure personally ensure every morning, that my car is dried thoroughly after being washed and, any extraneous matter, if any, is cleaned. We purchased your product in good faith. We may add that since our complaint, the corrosion has led to the front end of the vehicle under the bonnet to be severely damaged as well, leading to the frontal parts almost falling off the car as you would observe from the spilt slippery material in the photos. You can easily verify all the similar complaints made against Honda about rust/corrosion and find a pattern of an inherent manufacturing defect and the minutest detail of the corrosion by having the vehicle undergo various investigative tests incl. salt test all of which would establish that Honda is guilty. Kindly note that upon expiry of the response period after August 29, 2015 - we would be free to take all possible action against Honda in India and Japan for being duped to buy a vehicle which has corroded owing to obvious manufacturing defect and we would assume that Honda is not interested to rectify the damage.

Certified used warranty is a scam. Honda sold me a certified used vehicle under their program that guarantees a 151-point inspection. Right out of the dealership, the car had a burnt accessory fuse, missing tire change tools, and garbage in the spare tire well under the trunk. This leads me to believe they did not check all the fuses and they did not check to see if a spare tire was even included with the vehicle, let alone properly inflated. They did not offer compensation for failing to check these points in their original inspection and they did not agree to perform another 151-point inspection at my request. It is now 14 months after I purchased the vehicle and only about 8,000-9,000 miles on the car from since we bought it. The power steering pump had a major failure; repair is quoted at $740.01. They refuse to repair the vehicle at no cost since non-powertrain warranty only covers 12-months/12,000 miles. I would typically accept this response, but I feel as if the car was never fully inspected like they advertised. A power steering pump should not have a major failure after 8,000-9,000 miles. I should not have this much difficulty explaining my frustration to Honda, a company that prides itself on reliable cars and helpful people, especially with such low mileage on the vehicle.

I have been a loyal repeat customer of Honda for 26 years and have purchase
I have been a loyal repeat customer of Honda for 26 years and have purchased three new Honda Accords in that time. My first purchase was a 1991 Honda Accord in which I put over 100,000 miles on it before gifting it to my sister who put an additional 100,000 miles on it. I was so pleased with my Honda, that I purchased a new 2005 Honda Accord which I gave to my son for his graduation. I purchased the third Honda Accord in 2008 which I gave to my daughter in 2013. All services for all vehicles were performed through Conicelli Honda, previously known as Sport Honda. I never had an issue with them or Honda until this week. I reside in Pennsylvania and my daughter moved to Chicago after graduating from college at Northwestern University. She continued maintenance services with Castle Honda and Grossinger Honda while living in Chicago per my recommendation to always have it serviced through Honda. My daughter was leaving work and the car made a rattle noise and then stalled and locked up when she approached a stop sign. She called me in a panic and after explaining to me what happened I advised her not to drive it and recommended that she have it towed to the dealership. She said that there was no engine indicator light on and neither was the oil lamp so she had no warning that there was an issue other than the car stalling on her and locking up. I advised her to get a hotel room since it was already midnight by the time the tow truck driver arrived. The next day the technician at Grossing Honda advised that the engine needed to be overhauled for approximately $3,700.00 or replace the engine for $13,000.00. I thought the technician was highly mistaken since there was only approximately 50,000 miles currently on the car. I asked what caused the problem and he said there was nothing that my daughter did to cause it but just something that happens when the pistons shift. This explanation did not appear to be normal to me since I have never had any issues such as this before with my other Honda vehicles. Therefore, I decided to do some research and found that American Honda had prior knowledge of a defect and related conditions regarding the engine on the 2008 to 2011 Honda Accord Coupes and Sedans in addition to the 2010 to 2011 CRV SUVs using an excess of oil consumption that lead to carbon deposits on the piston rings, which eventually reduced the rings effectiveness allowing the oil to seep past. This explained why the technician said there was nothing that my daughter did to cause it nor would she had any indication that there was an issue since she always took it to have the oil changed every 3,000 miles.Unfortunately, being a loyal customer of Honda for 26 years didnt seem to matter because the dealership nor Honda advised that an extended warranty was issued on these engines to 8 years or 125,000 miles from the original purchase date whichever came first. I purchased this vehicle on June 18, 2008 so the warranty expired a year ago on June 18, 2016. I telephoned American Honda (800) 999-1009 ext. 7 and was assigned a Case No. ** due to my dissatisfaction concerning these repairs and explained that the engine overhaul could have been prevented had Honda conducted an oil consumption test when the vehicle was in for service previously due to the engine light coming on/off. The technician provided me with the diagnostic trouble codes: P0300 and P0339 and informed me that the history on the vehicle did show that it had a history of oil consumption which was never conveyed to my daughter.Unfortunately, in conveying this to the case manager at American Honda; he was not only reluctant but refused to be understanding or sympathetic and stated that nothing could be done since the warranty expired and that he couldnt offer any resolution to remedy the problem, even knowing that I have been a loyal customer for years. He only asked what I expected him to do about it and ultimately, I was fully taken aback and expected any type of acknowledgement that Honda is at fault for allowing this to happen when they knew of the defect and could have prevented the problem sooner and should have at least offered to lower the labor rate of $148 or offered to reduce the bill since I was being penalized for the low mileage on the vehicle over the years. If there had been more miles on the vehicle sooner, the extended warranty would have covered the cost of the repairs and prevented this from happening. Now, I do not feel that I can trust the dealerships or Honda and plan to get rid of the vehicle and will never buy another Honda. As a business owner who recognizes the fundamental importance and value of great customer service was surprised that Honda does not share the same values or philosophy. So in the future, I will refrain from recommending anyone to buy a Honda as I have done so frequently over the years and will pursue being an advocate for consumer protection and awareness by educating everyone on this experience and suggest the importance of them conducting their own research on consumer reports to assure they are diligent in finding any potential issues. The cost of the repairs is not as shocking as the disregard for customer service and customer loyalty. Hopefully, Honda will recognize that each customer and experience is an important one whether good or bad. Being a business owner has allowed me to realize that all experiences may not be perfect but the best way to handle a situation when something goes wrong is to make it right because the rewards of doing so exceeds the negative impact when choose to do nothing.

Honda refuses to admit the Civics are flawed. The 08 Civic I own has so many they had 2 recalls. The tire constantly wears out unevenly. The condenser is letting rocks hit it making holes so it needs to be replaced. The A/C only works when it wants to! But it only quits on the hottest days! When I take it to the mechanic it works fine! It needs to be not working when I take it in, but, who knows where Ill be when that happens. Im usually in another city. Honda needs to do right and admit it made a bad car!

Paid over $800 for tires and alignment and after I drove off I realized I had to force the wheel to the right for it to stay on the road. Then to test it I let go of the steering wheel multiple times and it immediately pulled to the left. I called the service department three times to speak with the man who oversaw my service, he didnt answer. So I made a u-turn and returned the vehicle. He did a test drive and came up with new terms to explain why its pulling and blamed it on the road. Three different men drove the car three different times on the main road including the technician and claimed nothing is wrong with the car. They refused to service it or even take a look at it. I told them not to drive out my gas and my mileage. They still took the car anyways and drove it around. The manager asked at first I said no then yes. He also did everything to try and keep the car on the road but still refused to service it or replace the gas in my car. As he was testing the car he was raising his voice at me saying its the road the car is pulling because of the road. I will never ever return to any Honda dealer to service or purchase a car. They are a bunch of criminals running a business.

My Honda City car developed problem in the driver side door handle lock. The car was sent for servicing and the repair of the door lock at the Joshis Harmony Honda, Chandigarh. I was told that the problem has been solved but the problem reappeared again after few hours. Next day, I contacted the service center but the adviser was not ready to accept the fact and I am still facing the problem.

No problems with this vehicle so far. The most important consideration in buying a new car is what dealership you buy it from. Many dealerships are pawns of the manufacturer, meaning they protect the manufacturers interest above their customers interest. They dont tell the customer the real truth when the customers car has a defect that the dealership was aware of before the car was sold to the customer. I personally was a victim of a dealership who exactly did what I described above. So, research the dealer more than you research the car you want to buy.

There was a problem with the 2008, 2009 Honda Accord rear brakes and consumers were compensated for replacing them. I have a 2010 (which was probably manufactured in 2009) Accord and the same problem has just occurred. I too would like some reimbursement for this Honda problem.

2008 Honda Accord LX-P manual transmission: I had problems shifting gears one day, all of a sudden (51,000 miles). I took my Honda to White Allen Honda dealership to find out why. They drove the car also, couldnt figure out why it would shift improperly. To make a long story short, I was told that I have to pay over $1,800 for new clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, flywheel, etc. I said, Wait, how can this be at 51,000 miles? Where is my power train warranty coverage at for this problem? I have got no response other than a big bill! I will never own a Honda again. Im going to tell everyone I can about this! I also called 1-800-Honda customer and no service! Nada!

Door locked jam on driver side of door (only lock channel) on car has been replaced by Union Park Honda service department in the years of 2013 and 2014. I called to have lock replaced and was not informed that there will be charges for replacement of lock and repairs. Service representative by the of ** said that the warranty only covers 12,000 miles. Unfortunately they will have to charge me. He then stated that he had done some research and found that he was told that the lock/locks are FAULTY in certain model Hondas!!! If so why wouldnt Honda replace the door channel/channels with a more sufficient part for their vehicles. I AM A VERY VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER.

I have called Honda customer service numerous times with regards to my airbag light permanently remaining on. I have verified with several mechanics, that apparently, this is a faulty seatbelt buckle that needs to be replaced. When I mentioned this to Honda, they advised me that they may be able to assist with something. They wont mention what that something is, and on the condition that I take my vehicle to a Honda dealership for confirmation. While I can appreciate the fact that Honda has to verify this, I dont believe I should have to pay over $100 just for a technician to verify what they already know to be an issue. This should actually be recalled by Honda. I have 3 colleagues that all own Hondas and we all have the same problem. When you contact Honda, asking if this is part of a recall, they deny it. What will it take for Honda to take ownership and replace these faulty buckles? Does someone need to die?

I have taken my car back to service at Honda since day one for a rocky and shifting ride. I have been told over 20 times that there is nothing wrong with my car that it drives as designed. I have also taken my car to outside mechanics that have told me exactly what I felt when I drive my car. The other mechanics (not Honda) state that my car drifts left and pulls right. Each time after I take my car to an outside mechanic I then take it back to Honda service and they say the same thing, car drives as designed and that they can not find anything wrong with my car. What I found out between the 14th and 15th time of taking my car to Honda that every time that I have brought the car back that my rotors and brakes we always inspected as part of Hondas service plan. So my thing is that if it had be inspected and the outside mechanics noticed it immediately how come Honda never diagnosed the problem (Oh my bad. Theres no problem). I have gone to the attorney general and without an inspection of my car or anything they sided with Honda. I tried the Better Business Bureau but they do not deal with brand new model vehicles. They referred me to NCDS National center for dispute settlement, a carbon copy of the attorney generals office. So no matter the documents you have or proof its basically your word against the word of the big corporation. Im in a losing battle while still having to pay for and drive a vehicle that probably will be the cause of my life and my families life as well as others. Been thinking of a voluntary repo but that will kill my credit. Better my score than so many lives.

From the beginning of my lease of the Honda Clarity fuel cell car, I had problem with the car controller board. Then, the fuel tank problem had my car towed to their Torrance, CA. location for replacement due to unavailability of the service and hydrogen fuel. Then, the water pump corrosion recall to replace the water pump. Then, the True Zero hydrogen fuel cell producer depot caught on fire and their trucks were caught on fire. Theres no hydrogen fuel and the long delay in getting the inspections and permit to re-open the True Zero hydrogen plant.Meanwhile, the consumers face horrendous problems getting through to Honda Customer service to respond to deal with the rental car situation. A lot of time burden spent by consumers like myself to get Honda to help by providing temporary rental car. Honda customer service keep telling customers to wait for their case managers to call back if you can even get through to them. Honda Clarity fuel cell lessees are paying a high monthly leasing fees to Honda and not being able to drive the car and compounded by their horrible customer service and red-tape to make consumers bear the burden of time and costs. This doesnt happen with Toyota and Hyundai fuel cell vehicles when I talked to their customers. If theres a zero rating, I would rate it zero.

The entire air conditioning system on my brand new 2007 Accord had to be replaced. Wolfchase Honda said that the a/c system was overcharged by someone. I have never charged the system and Wolfchase Honda is the only one that has ever serviced the vehicle. Wolfchase Honda and Honda America would not help. I took it to another Honda dealership and the repairs ran nearly $3,000. I have purchased several new Hondas in the past but my last purchase was a Ford. I am through with Honda!
