Honda Automobile Reviews

Why are Honda vehicles so highly regarded by American drivers? Certainly, their excellent reputation for reliability and quality is a major factor. But it also has to do with the overall driving and owning experience. Read any Honda review and you'll likely notice common themes such as thoughtful design, a friendly nature, better-than-average fuel economy and attention to safety. Honda's lineup includes just about every different type of vehicle.

I have a new 2016 Civic and it is a great car. It is my fourth Civic, but there are a couple of things that I do not like about it. It does not have a CD player in it. I do not like any of the stations on the radio and I do not like the music of today. I loved listening to my music from the 50s, 60s and some of the 70s, but now I cannot do that because you opted not to put CD players in your new cars. I am not a person that has a Ipod, so that is not an option to listen to. I was very disappointed when I found out about this feature. The trunk door lock on the drivers door is an annoyance. I cannot reach the door handle to close the door when I get in so I have to grab on to the pocket where the button for the trunk button is and 9 out of 10 times I hit it and have to get out of the car to close the trunk. Why didnt you leave it where it was on the 2013 Civics??? Whoever makes these changes should think of the Seniors that purchase these vehicles and leave some things alone. Other than those two features that I just explained, the car is great and I do love it. Thank you for listening.

From the beginning of my lease of the Honda Clarity fuel cell car, I had problem with the car controller board. Then, the fuel tank problem had my car towed to their Torrance, CA. location for replacement due to unavailability of the service and hydrogen fuel. Then, the water pump corrosion recall to replace the water pump. Then, the True Zero hydrogen fuel cell producer depot caught on fire and their trucks were caught on fire. Theres no hydrogen fuel and the long delay in getting the inspections and permit to re-open the True Zero hydrogen plant.Meanwhile, the consumers face horrendous problems getting through to Honda Customer service to respond to deal with the rental car situation. A lot of time burden spent by consumers like myself to get Honda to help by providing temporary rental car. Honda customer service keep telling customers to wait for their case managers to call back if you can even get through to them. Honda Clarity fuel cell lessees are paying a high monthly leasing fees to Honda and not being able to drive the car and compounded by their horrible customer service and red-tape to make consumers bear the burden of time and costs. This doesnt happen with Toyota and Hyundai fuel cell vehicles when I talked to their customers. If theres a zero rating, I would rate it zero.

Braking problem... There was a sudden problem in the front braking of CBR250R vehicle number: **** chassis number: **** and Engine number: ****. The mechanics of Todi Honda situated in Kolkata say that the pistons and some other parts of the disc brakes are not working and hence needs to be replaced. There is no availability of spare parts here. My vehicle is under their hands from 16th November 2011 and still there is no solution to it. I am facing a lot of problems without my vehicle. I would kindly request you to solve this problem as soon as possible.

My husband purchased a Honda CBR250R motorcycle on 4/4/2012 and faulty on 8/4/2012 while he went Taiping trip with his group of biker friends. The motorbikes certainly cant start after stop to have a drink in Taiping town. So far, we have been changing so many new bikes but this is the first time this kind of problem arose, which feels uneasy and yet needs to arrange towing service from Taiping back to Ipoh. In my mind, Honda should bear all the cost incurred including the towing service which make us feel unsatisfied of the product. I have been sending two complaints to Ban Hoe Seng webpage, but no reply from them. I feel disappointed and lack confidence to spread around confidently of Honda product. All my friends ask us about the incident.

I have had my 2009 Fit since 2010 now with 67K miles. Put snow tires on and handles much better. Every few months, winter and summer, the climate control all setting has mold - can tell because of the horrible smell. I have gotten very sick, now I open the windows (not what I want to do!) and shoot bleach into the vents. I have changed the air filter multiple times, it is not the air filter. This is a poor design on Hondas part - there is a complaint on the FitFreak board. This is a health and safety major flaw and I am frustrated and disgusted. I have owned multiple cars and used them the same way. This is the first car I have ever had with this severe problem. Id love it if honda made things right but I know they dont give a crap.

I just leased a 2016 Honda Civic LX (Cosmic Metallic Blue) in November of 2016. I did not realize what a bad paint job this car had until the first snowfall. Fast forward to around January when the first snow fell in NYC, I drove to the nearest Walgreens to purchase a couple of things and the bright lights of the parking lot exposed at least 20-30 scratches ALL over the hood. Then with the next snowfall, more scratches on the roof of the car, the trunk and the side doors! This has NEVER happened to any of the cars Id previously owned, both new and pre-owned. Before this Civic, I had a 2013 Honda Accord that did not have this problem AT ALL throughout the duration of my lease. I REALLY wanted to like this Civic because of its new look but now with the amount of scratches on the car, it doesnt even look like I bought it 0 miles off the lot. I went back to the dealership (Millennium Honda in Hempstead, NY) to see if they could do anything for me, but of course, they refused any service, not taking blame for this botched paint job. All they offered was something to benefit them which is to trade in this 2016 Civic for another 2017 Civic with $4,000 up front. WHY would I do that when the paint job is just bad and NOT my fault at all. I really dont know what else to do with this car and would appreciate if Honda took responsibility for this failed paint job. I took it to a shop and the guy said that the paint on my car was SUPER THIN and thats why it came off so easily. Im pretty sure I got a car with a defective paint job. All Im asking is for Honda to step up and take responsibility for it, and theyll have a life-long customer; if not, the next car I finance or lease will NOT be with Honda.

Sales department uses delay tactics to go through the process of purchasing a vehicle. Finance department tries to fiddle with numbers and charge for items that are optional...which they dont tell you until the very end, (e.g. 300 insurance fee, which is really an optional documentation fee). Service department confirms issues but does nothing about them. They lie about what was done or not done and use subjective tests to say that nothing is wrong even though a documented 3rd party assessment indicates otherwise. Do not recommend purchasing or servicing a vehicle from Richmond Honda in BC.

Honda Accord 2003 purchased brand new and serviced by Honda until approxima
Honda Accord 2003 purchased brand new and serviced by Honda until approximately 2 1/2 years ago. Many years ago, while the car was being serviced by Honda, I noticed a small spot on the front of the roof, which then got progressively larger and larger; it was eventually extremely noticeable when even glancing at the car. As this was happening, I began noticing the same type of spots around the edge of the cars hood and door edges. I really dont know anything about cars so didnt know what to do. At the same time, I wondered why the Honda service techs/mgrs never said anything to me about it, especially, since it got so bad. One day, I was searching online and found pictures of other peoples Hondas that looked the same as mine - some with big spots on the cars where the paint had apparently peeled as well as others with peeling around the edges of hoods, roofs, doors, trunks... This is when I found out that Honda refuses to acknowledge and fix the fact that they manufactured cars with clear coat that was incompatible with the paint that was used on those same cars, which has resulted in the damage to these cars, which were sold to unsuspecting consumers. Until I found these pictures and articles, I had no idea what was and is still happening to my car, which I have taken very good care of.Today, I have no mechanical problems but my cars exterior looks terrible due to Hondas manufacturing error. Just because this is not a safety issue does not mean that Honda should not be held accountable to fix - at no charge to the consumer - their error in using clear coat and paint that is incompatible. 2 1/2 years ago when I found out what this problem was, I asked the Honda service mgr why he never mentioned the peeling spots on my car. He got very angry and defensive; in fact, he yelled at me. I told him that I was not blaming him for the problem but considering the extent of the problem, he and all Honda service techs/mgrs must know about it, yet, he and the techs chose to remain silent. The least they could have done was, if they could not admit to this being a Honda defect, they should have, at least, explained to me what was happening to the car and advised how to get it fixed. Ive spent $1600 repainting the roof and hood; now I have to have the rest of the car repainted for $2000. Honda should be repainting my car at no charge to me and reimbursing me for the money that I spent fixing their known error/defect. Essentially, this should be a recall. Perhaps, its not a safety recall but it is still significantly detrimental to Honda consumers. Unfortunately, we are only consumers and Honda, as a large multinational with high powered attorneys behind them, has the advantage. That said, I will never purchase another Honda again.

I have a 2011 CRV with 24,000 miles in it. (I drive 80 miles a day). In November 2011, I had a software update from a recall, that adjusted the timing. I was getting 32 mpg consistently on the highway, and 28 when I did city driving. After the update, I cant get anything more than 26, city or highway. Honda said to have the dealer check it. They did, and everything was okay, as far as they were concerned. Then Honda said to have the dealer run a mileage check. The dealer said there is no such thing, other than looking at the mpg indicator. Honda says if it is within the normal range, then there is nothing they can do. No one can give me a number for normal range. I keep getting the runaround from Honda. I have the extended warranty as well. This will cost me over $900 a year in added fuel cost at the current prices.

I bought my 02 Accord brand new, and now have 174K on the clock. Ive replaced the transmission 3 times, and finally found a shop here in San Francisco that built it correctly. They told me that Honda transmissions are unlike any other standard transmission design and they fail often. Theres too much pressure kept in the torque converter, and not enough return fluid for the unit to function correctly. There are several aftermarket fixes, of course, that you have to pay for. When I picked my car up at the shop, there were 3 Accords, 3 Odysseys and 2 MDXs. I called American Honda to ask for some sort of help seeing as this is my 3rd time around the pony show - nothing. Shame on Honda for being so stupid in their design. Im not going back for more.

Just bought a 2020 Honda Rtl Rideline. Love everything about it except there is a whistling wind noise coming in from the front windshield and door almost like your window is not closed all the way. Honda kept the vehicle for 3 days and could not find the problem. Contacted the area case manager and his answer was that there is nothing they could do because that is how the vehicle is made. Just because that is how the vehicle is made doesnt make it right. There is definitely a defect that is causing the noise to come into the vehicle while driving on the highway.

A few years back on a cold February night, I was driving home as usual. I soon noticed a spark from the hood and realized that I should pull over. It took just about all my might to pull the car over into a parking lot. As soon as I exited the vehicle, I saw flames shooting out from the hood. I stood on the side of the road shocked at what I was seeing. Everything in my car was ruined - my workbag, a store return in my trunk and even my 1-year old sons car seat melted. We were at a loss on what to do next and did the normal procedure of calling our car insurance. The initial inspection to see if it was a fire due to our negligence was done and a check for the value of the car was received. It would cost $7,000 to see the exact cause of the fire, which would have been at our expense and almost the whole value of the lost vehicle. Our precious Accord was our only vehicle and paying for rental cars was getting too expensive, so we decided we couldnt do the inspection and wanted to have this nightmare over with, only to be haunted by it later on. Our son is 4 now and we received a letter in the mail indicating a recall on our car to fix a defective power steering hose that can leak fluid and catch on fire. If you recall, I had to use all my might to pull the car over, which I assume that the power steering hose having a leak is very possible to be the cause of the fire.We have contacted Hondas recall department and Walter was assigned to our case. Regardless of what happened (me almost being in the car while it was on fire), the car no longer exists so therefore, Honda doesnt care. Interesting enough in the same month, 3 years later, we passed a newer model Accord in almost the exact location with its hood on fire. And yet there is still only 1 reported car fire due to the recall. I honestly doubt thats the case and that there are many other victims. I am certainly angry!

Honda allowed car rentals for the driver side airbag recall due to exploding metal fragments injuring and killing individuals. It states in the recall that it can do that to the driver and others in the cab. Honda will not allow car rentals for the passenger side airbags and tell you just to not seat in the passenger seat. It has been asked of Honda if there was a chance that it might deploy if hit in front of car. No answer. I then ask American Honda Customer Service to send me something in writing that it will not deploy and I am not gambling with hurting myself or others in the back seat. They will not.I called Russell Honda in North Little Rock, AR and I am told that they could not sign anything either because he was not sure or that it could be possible that the sensor could be signaled. Then you start the customer service case manager and they put you to the fast track and never hear from them again and no answers. So I am to gamble and drive my vehicle until that part comes in and cross my fingers. I am not a good gambler. So Honda I believe needs to stand up and be responsible and allow for loaner cars until they fix this problem.

My 2004 Honda Accord Coupe started jerking at 78,000 miles. I had someone look at it who is a mechanic for the FBI. He said there was very little transmission fluid in the car and that was unusual. Two weeks after he put in transmission fluid, I was alone in the city and my car would not go into reverse. I panicked and called this man who recommended a transmission place. The cost was $2,550 to have the work done. I am a single mom and had to rent a car for the week it took to replace the transmission. This cost an additional $200. I looked up Honda car problems and this is a common problem with my car. I called Honda and they said that my VIN was not a car that was documented as having a problem. I have since had the car repaired and it still doesnt feel quite right. The transmission company asked if I would bring the car back in three weeks, so that they can check that everything is working properly.

I bought a beautiful 2008 Honda Accord in May 2008. Brand new. 7 miles on the odometer. I also purchased the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper extended warranty. My car now registers 91,000 miles. I bought the car in Los Gatos, CA. at the dealership. I lived in Los Gatos, CA. A few months afterwards the dealership closed and now I am expected to drive all the way over to Fremont, CA. I chose Stevens Creek Honda in San Jose, CA.Every oil change, new tires, maintenance was done there. And a year ago I moved to Ventura, CA.Now I have to choose a new dealership to change the oil, etc. so I chose DCH Honda of Oxnard, CA. From the start I have had issues with them. I am in the process of another Oil Consumption test. I found out that that, and the brakes, are the number 1 complaint on the 2008 Accord. At 43,000 miles Stevens Creek Honda installed the oil consumption software. My car is using oil. The life of the oil has nothing to do with the amount of oil that is in the car. My Life oil usage stated I had 90% but the oil dip stick doesnt even register the oil. I had only put 850 miles on the car. This nonsense has been going on for over a year. I wear a dress, I am not at liberty to constantly check the oil.Plus, I have owned three other Hondas and NEVER had this problem with a car or a dealership. I called to have the oil changed at 40% oil life and they told me not to change the oil because Honda doesnt recommend it! Oh Please! If I want to change the oil, let me! Three times I have been to the dealership to complain. The repair manager, **, tells me my car is fine. They have been putting a lighter weight oil in the car, the oil cap clearly states a specific weight oil. What is that about? I am no genius but the obvious is there. The lighter weight oil is leaking through the piston o-rings. I need an ring job. I was told by my service advisor that they had an abundance of the lighter oil and that is why they are using it. They are telling me that they are adjusting the valves and putting in the recommended oil, and the car should be fine. The car is at 91,000 miles. If I need a ring job later, after my warranty has expired, I will be out thousands of dollars!

In this sea of negativity, keep in mind that this site is going to be skewed towards those coming here to complain about problems. Venting is understandable. Ive owned unreliable cars in the past. That being said, none of my problem cars have been Hondas. Ive owned Acuras and Hondas, and others in my family have Hondas as well and none of us have experienced problems at all. And were glad for that because thats the #1 reason we chose the manufacturer. Honda is KNOWN for reliability and low cost of ownership and their reputation is built on it. I purchased a 2007 Civic EX w/ Nav back in 2010. Got it for a great price and its been nothing but dead reliable. The only thing Ive had to do is brakes and new tires, all around at 75k miles. Otherwise, its been typical oil changes and fluid top offs. Ive taken the car from Texas to California and back on a road trip. Again, no problems. Im currently sitting at about 90k miles. The only real issue that I take is cosmetic. The front, passenger side fender/bumper, where the bumper meets the wheel well, always comes unhooked and pops out about a half an inch. I have to bump it back into place with the bottom of my fist from time to time. Thats really it. All the electronics work perfectly and it always starts and runs fine.

2006 Honda Civic Dangerous Mechanical problem: Dont be fooled like I was by Hondas reputation. Their cars have tons of problems and the case agents are merely customer service guys and gals with scripts. At 29,000 miles, a bolt got torn off from the tensioner causing a massive chain reaction of broken belts and pulleys. The extended warranty didnt cover it because a bolt shouldnt do that. The guy kept saying wear and tear, but the fact is that it was the bolt that caused the chain reaction and not the belts. Bolts are still intact in cars that were built 50 years ago. When I mentioned that, he said I could reimburse you for the bolt which is $1.50, basically mocking me. I said to him that the reason the labor cost was so high was because of that bolt that flew into the engine and the mechanics supposedly had to spend 7 hours to fetch out (Honda Dealership). The guy was passive-aggressive and very unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and do some major research before buying a Honda. They will live with the reputation of having safe and reliable cars but when it comes to a problem they got to fix, they turn against you. My next car was probably going to be another Honda, not anymore. There are far too many car companies to stand for this. Their cars are supposedly overpriced because of their quality, but that is no longer true. Do some research. Oh, yeah, this whole thing happened while I was driving at 40 miles per hour and it was a really stressful and panicky situation since it all happened out of the blue.

I had no control over the car. The car took off ... power steering failed and brakes locked up. I was, thankfully, in my driveway. I cant believe this is not a warranty issue. I purchased two cars over the last 6 months, and 5 in the last few years. Not to mention all the people I have sent to Dublin Honda over the last 10 years. I have never been so resentful and betrayed after my last purchase at Dublin Honda, Dublin CA. I trusted them, which of course was my first mistake and my second was not taking care of this immediately. But over the last few months Ive lost my dad. My dog who is only 2 was diagnosed with congenital kidney failure. She is an English Bulldog and the breeder is facing 10 yrs in prison. Ive had to be out of town often lately and in fact the night I purchased this Acura I was leaving town for 3 wks so I purchased at night, then very early the next morning I simply parked it at the airport and didnt have a chance to really view all the things wrong until later. I contacted Steve ** whom is the GM and in charge of the dealership. He gave me the impression that he was going to work with me, and help me to resolve the issues I have with the car I was sold. But upon meeting with him (He told his employees he had to leave for an ER) however when I saw him he indicated he was just about to leave. I told him everything I was concerned about and he said there was nothing he could do. He asked me why I traded in the brand new 2015 Honda Civic I purchased a month before!!! Why is this relevant??? I had the car inspected and it has been found to have so many issues. I couldnt get 14k for the car two months after I purchased it. I spent 20k in CASH. I was told the car had one owner, was in mint condition and so on. The tires are the cheapest worst rated tires on the market, definitely not made for an Acura. The floor has large holes where something has rusted/eaten away at the carpet and left holes. The windshield has a crack. I was given only one broken key, no floor-mats. There are scratches all over that have been painted with a paint pen, dents on quarter panel, front under license plate, frayed leather seats, scratched rims. (ONLY A 4 CYLINDER) I was told it was a V6. I will forward pictures of all the damage and also know I contacted the salesperson a few days after I purchased and told him about the scratches and dents. I think the worst part of this entire situation is how badly Steve ** has treated me. This is after 10 yrs of loyal dedication to the dealership. He didnt even try to work on fixing any of these issues. In very good condition this car isnt worth 14k!!!

My situation: I bought a 2013 Civic SI four door in black. I was super happy until I noticed a year ago the paint started getting cloudy and white. Today it looks a lot worse and after undergoing what they call an inspection which was just pictures on one of the employees phone. The case manager had the audacity to inform me that they cant help me because it looks like rock chipping. Should I laugh or just be completely upset? I can say I will no longer depend on this company when it comes to buying a reliable car. I am so disappointed! The cars paint is suppose to have extended warranty of 7 years because of the poor quality of paint or coating they decided to use to save a few dollars. Yet they call me to ask if I would like to trade in my car right after I drive off the Aventura Dealer in Florida. For sales they are quick but the customer service is just disgusting. I will have to get a lawyer involved because this is just unacceptable. Its sad to say I am not the only one with this issue. I wouldnt wish this upon anyone and would never recommend Honda to friends and family again. Getting the car painted out of my pocket is $1000+ and Its just not going to happen. I am still paying this car off as we speak.

This email regards a horrible customer service experience I have had with Honda. I have had a problem with my 2017 Hatch - the center console randomly begins a series of beeps (beep-beep-beep) and throws my iPhone, especially the navigation system, off of the system. I have video recorded the problem happening and taken it to my dealer and another dealer on 4 occasions. They cannot replicate the problem.I called Honda USA to seek additional help. My case was given to a case manager - LUIS - who argued with me, made me cry on every phone conversation, even angered my even-tempered husband. I am seeking help with this problem and all I got was verbal abuse. When I asked to speak to a manager or another agent, I was told by LUIS that I could only speak with him. This one experience - this one experience alone - has decided me that Honda is not the company for me. You seem not to care about a problem that I am sure with time will end up in some sort of recall situation - I simply cant imagine that my car is the only one having this problem. If your customer service is so uncaring and apathetic, then I simply cant be a part of this company.

Purchased a 2012 Honda Civic Sedan on Feb. 9th, 2012. Drove it for 2 days and my lower back started to hurt like crazy. I mean I could barely get off of my couch without being in excruciating pain! Called the dealer and he recommending by a lumbar support at Walgreens. Wow! Great fix! Apparently, they have a bad design and they tell you to buy a lumbar support. I looked on a Honda forum and there were several complaints about the civic seats. Spoke with the General Manager and the dealership is suppose to call me on Monday! Will see what they say! 28-32 MPG in town doesnt do anyone any good if you cant drive the car because the seats are so uncomfortable you cant bare the excruciating lower back pain!

I purchased a brand new 2010 Honda Accord from Elk Grove Honda last year. Recently I heard a grinding noise just before I started the engine. I took my car to Elk Grove Honda for repair and was told they already knew a lot of Honda Accords have this problem. They will not repair it as this is how the Honda engineers design it and I should turn my ignition key very fast in order to ignore this noise. I did some research and found out this problem is caused by the bad VTC actuator in many of the Honda Accord model. The Elk Grove Honda still refused to repair my defective car even it is still under warranty.

We bought an HRV 22 months ago. While driving cross country to my daughters college graduation we stopped in Las Vegas to get something to drink. As we were about to get on the freeway all the lights on the dashboard lit up. Flashing were the words Check Charging System. We took it to Honda West dealership and they told us to come back tomorrow morning and they would look at the vehicle. The next day they had the vehicle for four hours and still did not know what wrong. We left the vehicle with them and rented a car and drove back home. A month later they said they had everything fixed. They found that rodents had eaten through the cabin air filter and damaged the wiring inside the vehicle. After getting home with the vehicle I took the cabin air filter out to see how I could keep the rodents out of my vehicle. The dealership put the old filter back into the vehicle. It had two holes in it that were 2-3 inches wide, full of rodent excrement and smelled like urine. I removed the plastic cover between the front hood and the front windshield. About 3 inches below the windshield on the passenger side was a 4 inch by 12 opening going through the firewall into the Ac unit. Below the opening was a 3 1/2 inch wide shelf for the rodents to sit on. I got a piece of hardware cloth with 1/4 openings and four self-tapping sheet metal screws and covered the hole to keep the rodents out.The cost of repair was about $1.50, the cost from Honda West Dealership for the rodent damage was $ 9,720.10. This is a bad design by Honda, to allow this kind of access for rodents into their vehicle. I understand this is the same design on all of their crossover vehicles. How much money has Honda Corporation made off of this design because of rodent damage?

I recently took my 2012 Fit into the Honda dealership as the air conditioning wasnt working and it was making a hissing noise. It turns out that there is corrosion between the compressor and the hose that connects to it. It will cost me over $1,000 to repair. How does a 4 year old car that is kept in a garage at home and in covered parking in the day get corrosion under the hood? One of the reasons I bought a new car at the time of purchase was so I would not have costly repairs anytime soon. Now I am looking at a $1,000 repair for something that in my opinion shouldnt happen in a car of this age.

I am a very frustrated owner of Honda Accord 2.0 VTi-L, Full Spec, VTEC with plate no **, registered in Penang, Malaysia. Ive been maintaining my vehicle in your service center namely KAH Motor located in Sungai Pinang, Penang, Malaysia. Six months back, I had complained about sounds from the bottom of my car bonnet. The service engineer helped to check, but could not find the root cause of the sound. Id sent my car for checking for 3 times during the past 6 months, no results. Finally, a month back they told me they found the cause. But, the spare parts need to be ordered from others. They said theyd filed a complaint to Honda HQ and the warranty claim has been approved, spare part should be arriving within 1st week of Apr.12. Sadly, they did not update me even after 15/4/12. When I called up, they said the spare part had not arrived and they do not know when it is arriving. What an irresponsible answer?! They didnt even bother to highlight my problem to their top management and get my case solved. After all, Ive been waiting for 6 months to confirm the root cause of the sounds. And now, another infinity date to wait for the repairs?! This is totally unacceptable! I am a heavy user of this vehicle and I need to be safe on the road. I need this to be resolved.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic with 40,000 miles. All under-the-hood work for this vehicle has been performed at the dealer:1) Visor keeps un-glueing and coming apart. It has been replaced 3 times in less than four years, and Honda cant seem to come up with a replacement part that is durable.2) Full brake job was required. This is acceptable maintenance.3) Engine mount was missing. This is not the first time things under the hood are missing from this car that support the engine.4) Shocks and struts were supposedly leaking and had to be replaced. Not sure why this was not covered under warranty. Shocks and struts should last a very long time. I drive about 15 miles per day and drive very conservatively with speed no faster than 50 miles. What would cause struts to go bad in such short time, unless they were defective? Should the dealer have replaced these as part of the warranty?

When I got home, I wanted to contact Honda; but a lawyer friend warned me to do my research first! I found several online complaints about the same issue. I took proper steps to protect myself; and sure enough, Honda gave me the same response. I can’t believe nothing is being done about this! It is unfair and very dangerous to all drivers on the road! We saw on the news one night that Honda would be recalling their CRV 2005 - 2007 for faulty driver side window door switches that could catch fire. Our window hadnt been working for a couple months, so I emailed our dealer and made an appointment to bring it in the next day. (BTW, I bought a new 2012 luxury edition CRV and gave my 2005 to my daughter.) The recall is not even being mailed to owners until the beginning of November! My daughter woke up at 4am to find the cars driver’s side door in flames, which quickly ignited the entire cab! The engine looks brand new and wasnt touched, but the car is a complete loss and devastating to look at, not to mention the emotional job it took on my daughter as she watched her car (and like a typical teen that lives out of their car, all her most prized possessions) go up in flames. When I called Honda (first shaking over the fire and then angry that I could have lost my child in this tragedy), they could not have cared any less. Many people told me to hire a lawyer including the service manager at the dealership where I bought both cars. He said Honda wont do anything and you will have to lawyer up. My husband and I talked and just need the insurance company to cover the car, and we are going through our homeowners policy for her more than $3,000 worth of personal property. The insurance agency is going after Honda for their reimbursement and said they will also attach the list of lost personal property for them to reimburse. Oh, one more thing, my 2012 Honda CRV also had a recall - not the driver’s door window switch but nonetheless ... Would I buy a Honda again? Toyota is looking mighty fine these days!

Every time I put the handbrake on incline, nothing happens. I told them about this. I took the car to another garage for MOT, it failed on rear brakes. I went to the dealer and showed them the report. They refused to do anything. I paid for repairs myself, returned to the dealer with the bill and asked to see the owner. The staff member refused to get him and was rather intimidating and aggressive. The repairs showed the rear calipers were not working, only one pad was contacting with the disc, so I was driving a dangerous car. I would like something done before I take matters further. I bought a 2016 Honda Civic for its reliability, that didnt happen as planned. Within 4 months I had the factory radio swapped out and the problem returned. It will randomly beep and the dash would go blank. Now today I picked up the car after the service rep told me they have updated the car software and the radio unit as well. I asked them if they had tested it because usually problems occur after driving the car he stated they tested it for 2 hrs which turned out to be a lie. When I got the car today I was nearly killed because as soon as I drove off the lot the Vehicle Stability System light came on and the car started to decelerate as it thought it was losing traction. Then within seconds the brake system failure light came on, immediately the brakes began vibrating and I was unable to operate them while approaching a red light, ran the red light with no choice and then power steering system problem light came on. Then the steering wheel locked up. So basically within 5 min off the lot my car was in motion and inoperable and not responding. Eventually the brakes came back after constantly hitting them but almost hit another vehicle in lot due to this issue. Biggest part of this complaint is that when I went back in the no one at the dealership took ownership of the problem and insisted they have done nothing wrong. Well obviously something has happened. They took the vehicle in and within 2 hrs called me back saying they fixed the issue, so I asked what the problem was and they stated that they do not know what the issue was but it is fixed. I am like how do you fix a problem that you do not even know. I asked service manager, who would be responsible if something happened to me or the car, he said he was not in a position to say anything or take financial responsibility. If they cant even trust their money on this car then how can I put my life in danger in this car.

In May 2008, I purchased a 2003 Honda Accord from the dealership in Leesburg, Florida. Supposedly, it had a certified inspection (I have a sticker anyway). I paid for an extended warranty on the electrical system. Within a week the TCS icon lit up on the dash. I called the said dealership and they told me to bring the car in, which I did. The warning light went off en route. I was told by a service person that they could only check into the problem when the light was on. When I had had enough and demanded they at least try to look into the problem, they informed me that the warranty had expired. I went to Pep Boys and guess what? They identified the problem without the icon being illuminated. So, I had to pay $1,800 out of pocket. I chose Pep Boys to get my business rather than the dealership. Recently, my A/C died. Simultaneously, my CD and radio stopped working and the audio unit’s lights went dark. It turns out a $1,200 part, a faulty electrical board that needs replacing. Again, I appealed to the staff at the dealership. The general manager was rude. He said they didnt have to notify me of service bulletins and that Honda was responsible for notifying me of any recalls. I have since found out that this make and model also has transmission problems, so Im just waiting for that shoe to drop. Never ever trust a company because of its word-of-mouth reputation. Honda has put out some clunkers and their Leesburg dealership - boy, I want to name names - doesnt give a damn. P.S.: I maintain my vehicle regularly and it has fewer than 62,000 miles on it.

Honda fuel door: 2017 Honda Ridgeline. There is an outside door with weatherstripping, however, dust can get between the door and the capless filler opening and then on into the hose leading to the cannister. There is a flap at the end of the hose going to the tank, and there is another flap inside at the top of the hose. Between the two flaps, there is a small hole at the bottom of the filler neck, approximately 1/4 by 3/8. Dust can get between these two flaps and be sucked into the hose leading to the canister, eventually plugging it and setting the error code. This is a design error for a pickup which is advertised for use on dirt, mud, and snow. Though there is weatherstripping on the outside door, there are two small drainage holes inside the door. These two holes empty just ahead of the rear wheel. Dust can enter either through the outside door seal or through the drainage holes. At the least, there should not have been a hole between the two flaps without some type of filter, allowing dust to collect just in front of the second flap and be sucked into the cannister. Though one could clean the outside flap before filling the tank, that is not possible between the two flaps, and while driving dust can be sucked into the line going to the canister. I think Honda should pay to have the line cleaned and the canister changed if necessary.History: At about 18,000 miles the check engine light came on, emissions problem. I took the pickup to Mistlin Honda in Modesto, CA, on November 13, 2018. Their report was that the car was dirty underneath, reset the computer and told me it would not happen again. The check engine light came on again at about 23,000 miles. I took the pickup in again on May 28, 2019. That time I was told there was dust in the system and it was not covered under warranty.I called Honda at 1-800-999-1009 and spoke with a rep who assigned the call to case #** and was referred to Lovette, same number, Ext **. She called me back on August 1st and after I explained the issue to her, told me to call Dennis **, Service Manager at Mistlin Honda, 549-5000, Ext **. She said he would be able to agree that the problem should be covered under warranty. Dennis told me he was not authorized to do such a thing and I would have to talk to someone at Honda to authorize such a repair.I called her back to tell her that Dennis told me he can’t do that. I left a message; since then I have called three times but she never returned my calls. Called Aug. 9 and got another rep who was of no help. Said a case manager will call me within three working days. Old case manager, Lovette finally called back and told me, essentially, tough. Last Honda I’ll ever buy. Have a Subaru with over 200,000 miles, same environment and no problems. Ready to replace it – will be with another Subaru.

Honda Customer Service is extremely disappointing. Items offered/described on their website imply suitability for all--not true. Example: Website describes Backup Sensors as Help yourself in or out of a tight spot while helping to protect your paint; Four Sensors emit audible beeps into the cabin while you back up, signaling objects as you approach them. Beeps quicken as your vehicle gets closer to objects. Note: Back-up sensor attachment is required for installation. ** Polished Metal Metallic; MSRP: $265.32. On the purchase of a 2011 CR-V, we had backup sensors installed for $857. Turns out that the emitted beeps are very high-frequency which my husband cannot hear. (According to The National Institute of Health (NIH) 15 percent (26 million) of Americans between the ages of 20-69 cannot hear high pitched tones because of military service (in my husbands case dating back to 1965), etc. ) We would not have requested this safety feature installed on our new CR-V, the third new Honda my husband has purchased since 1997, unless we considered it important. We are a retired couple on a fixed income, and we think long and hard prior to spending this amount of money on discretionary items. Honda personnel with whom we have dealt offered us one option--go to an after market auto shop and see if they could rig up flashing lights to supplement the (inaudible) sound. Are they serious? In backing up, we have to look forward to see flashing lights!!! What about the sides of the vehicles where the backup sensors are supposed to ensure protection?

My current 2017 Ridgeline came with a toxic odor in the in-bed trunk. Every time you open the trunk, the smell comes pouring out. Anything you put in the trunk comes out smelling of the chemical. I have tried cleaning it out numerous times and even brought it to the dealership, where they tried to get rid of the smell three times. Nothing works. When I called American Honda, they stated that all of the 2017 Honda Ridgelines have the smell - the smell is from an epoxy they use to seal the trunk and there is nothing you can do to get rid of it, other than waiting for it to fade away. I have been waiting for seven months, and the smell is as strong as ever. American Honda refuses to do anything about it. Seems like they did not learn anything from the Takata airbag disaster.

I had to replace the brakes at 20555 miles, again at 35936 and then again at 53150. Honda accepts no responsibility for this problem. They insult my intelligence by blaming me for the premature wear. I have paid out over $600 on brakes so far. The oil pressure switch went out to at a little over 53000 miles, another $300. Battery also died after 2 years (replaced by warranty). The car has not been very dependable and is expensive to maintain. I want to sue them for the brake problems that they refuse to acknowledge!

I have a 03 Element and love the vehicle. I was getting ready to buy a second one until I found out it is $726.00 to replace a starter, a freaking starter. I will not own another one. And I will trade this one for a Toyota by tomorrow. I think it is pretty pathetic that you have to remove a perfectly good manifold to get to the starter, who was the brain child of that design. I thought you built cars to last and to be low maintenance. Well, if one starter cost that much, how is it low maintenance? That’s very, very sad. Honda has lost my business. I have had a CRV, Civic, and Element. Not anymore!

I purchased a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback in November of 2017. Navigation system has not worked correctly from the beginning and other electronic problems have arisen since. I gave them 8 attempts to fix it, with my car being in the shop a total of 67 days. I started the lemon law process and after the final attempt didnt work, I requested them to buy it back. They sent me a letter declining to do so because they tried to fix it in good faith. They offered me a one time $1500 cash settlement for my time and to keep me a happy customer.I refused and filed with the state for an arbitration hearing. At the hearing, they tried to say EVERYTHING I did could have caused my problems- had to replace my window from a rock and that new window might be causing an interference, using a Bluetooth headpiece separate from the car might cause an interference, having my phone in the car might be causing an interference, using music on a usb drive could have corrupted files and cause an issue. It was horrible. The arbitrator sided on my side and they were told how much they had to pay me back. They sent me a letter stating in order to repurchase it back, they needed several items of information. I faxed all the information requested over the same day. A week later, I get another letter requesting one piece of the information to be sent again like I hadnt already sent it. I overnighted the entire packet to them again. Then, I get a letter saying they are happy to comply and someone would be in touch, but when I dropped off the car, I owed THEM more than $6000 from prior debt I had. I refused and a gentleman called me to explain why, which made no sense. Then the very next day, I get another letter stating that was in fact exactly how much I owed them and I needed to contact the state if I had any further questions concerning it. The state rep said she even chuckled at that one because there was no way they were going to tell me that was correct since it wasnt what the arbitrator decided. During this time, I left a total of 4 voicemails for the Honda representative, and two emails. None of these messages were ever returned. Last week, I FINALLY received a letter stating they were going to comply with the request at the stated amount and someone would be in touch. The very next day on Friday, I was in meetings for a total of 4 hours. During that time, I missed 1 call from Hondas repurchasing vendor about scheduling a time on Monday to return the car. I called her back when I got home, and we scheduled for Monday. She verified everything I would need to bring and I asked if I would be receiving my check at this time. She stated there was no check included in my packet. I told her I did not trust honda enough to give back the car without them complying with ALL the decision. The next morning, I get a call from the same rep saying she has the check as it was overnighted to her for me. The same day, I get a nastygram in the mail from Honda stating they had tried to call me, and sent a letter and had proof that I had received it (the same letter I received that stated someone would be in touch regarding scheduling). The letter continued to state that honda had performed its due diligence in meeting the terms of compliance, but my participation was critical and they were requesting me to extend my full participation in this matter in order to complete the process. (All this because I didnt respond to 1 phone call until 4 hours later, when they have never responded to any of my contact attempts.) The car is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow and I cant get rid of it fast enough. The local dealership has been wonderful (surprisingly for a dealership) and I originally thought about getting another honda because of this reason, but my experience with the actual company has made me swear off Honda for the rest of my life. This was my first and last one and I will take EVERY opportunity to post copies of these stupid letters for others to be aware what this company is really like. I will be posting reviews anywhere possible to warn people NOT to buy a Honda for any reason! Any company that treats its customers with such disrespect is worthless.

I purchased my first car, a Honda Civic Ex 2009, back in May 2009. I loved this car, until it started giving me troubles. Before the 60K, they have already replaced the motor brackets, the battery, and the TPMS sensors (4 times). Yes, the TPMS sensors have been replaced 4 times in the last 3 months. Last month, I had a flat tire; and no light came on. I stopped due to a strange noise and realized that I had a flat. I contacted the dealer, and they said the light does not come on until you driven over 28MPH. Well, I left it like, I drove it for a couple miles, and the light came back on. I figure it needed air pressure. After a few miles, the light came back off. The dealer had already replaced the sensor 4 times before this, and again, the TPMS sensor light came back on again yesterday. I contacted the dealer to explain to them about the situation, and they said they wanted me to bring in the vehicle for check-up. I scheduled an appointment. I also contacted Honda headquarters (for the second time) and spoke to Mohammed. I told him about the situation I was going through, and he asked me what should I expect from Honda. I told him that at this point, I was so regretful that I purchased a vehicle that was broken from the beginning, that the vehicle is non fixable, and that I wanted to return it. He said that I needed to go back to the dealer and return the vehicle. I did not like his attitude; he did not even try to resolve this issue. He said if I had already made up my mind, then I should go ahead and return the vehicle. I mean, if Im paying for this car, the least that Honda should do for me is a replacement. Shouldnt I? Well, Honda, the least that you can do at this time is give a replacement vehicle or the money that I have paid you for this piece of crap! I will like you to do this before I take matters further. At this point, I am tired of having to drive an unsafe and broken vehicle made from you, Honda. I am tired of going back to dealers to get the car fixed. I am tired of you, Honda, not paying attention to your customers! If you do not resolve this issue, I promise that I will no longer ever in my life purchase another vehicle made from Honda or its affiliates. And Im only 24. Guess how many cars I would buy from now until I cant drive anymore!

We only have 29,500 miles on the car and were told that we would have to pay for the brake job. This is the 5th Honda Accord we have leased and we never had a problem like this. Our lease is up in November of this year and we are having second thoughts about another Honda lease. Being a front wheel drive vehicle, why are the rear brakes worn and not the front brakes?

I called Honda because I bought a new 2016 HR-V EX AWD which has the keyless system. The owners guide states I can unlock all doors with the trunk release. It does not and I learned that the owners manual states something different. I also complained to the phone contact because the only door that opens all doors is the passenger door, unlike past vehicles I have had where pushing the button twice opens all doors. I was told this was a security feature of the vehicle. However, it would be just as secure if it required two pushes for all doors and only the current handle grab for the drivers door. When I asked how to get both issues repaired I was told the drivers door was engineered that way and could not be fixed because it was not broken. They will be calling back about the trunk to clarify which is correct, the owners guide or owners manual.I was pleased the company is willing to respond quickly but am entirely dissatisfied with their denial that the doors could be altered given that this version of the car is quite a bit more money than the version with remote entry instead of keyless entry. As the driver, I either have to fish the key fob out of my purse or make my kids wait until I am inside the car to let them in. Im having to train them to stop yanking on the door handles until I am inside. Worse is that I cannot open the back doors myself without the same maneuvering, difficult if I am hauling items I have stored in the back seat.

I own a 2010 Honda Accord coupe EX. This is now the second time the rear driver side quarter panel has cracked. My assumption is because of the quality of the rear quarter panel, material of it, and the cold weather. Both times the quarter panel has cracked, it has started out about an inch and then grew to four or five inches. Same spot both times. The first instance the entire quarter panel was replaced by a Honda dealer. Im now waiting on my insurance company to determine if this was a defect in the repair. I think Honda needs to take ownership as this has to be a common problem with these model Accords. I find it hard to believe that this is now the second quarter panel and has cracked in the same spot again. Seems like a defect and a recall needed from Honda.

PAX Tires and Wheels - It is very inconsiderate of any auto company to equip a vehicle with this type of equipment. The only way to repair a flat is from a Honda dealer. If your loved ones have any tire trouble, where are they going to get help readily? My son purchased a new 2013 Honda CRX from Colby Honda, Northridge, CA. When he took his car in for the last service they impounded his car for what they said, a period of about two months. Further, they told him he would not receive his car back until the airbag is replaced or he signed a waiver releasing Honda from any liability for damage or injury caused by the faulty airbag. The dealership did provide my son with a poor quality 2002 loaner car that had 100,040 miles on the odometer. Last week he took a trip and the cars engine warning light came on.In the meantime my son is making the monthly payments for his impounded Honda CRX. He tried to contact Honda Corporation and was referred back to the dealership. The customer service person at the dealership was rude and not helpful. I believe Honda should provide its customer with a loan car that is at least equal to the car he is making payments on or waive his scheduled payments until they return his car. The airbag problem is the responsibility of Honda, not the customer. I would assume numerous other customers are dealing with this same issue. In the meantime, Honda continues to sell and deliver new cars that must have compliant airbags. What can be done to correct the problem?

Exploding rear window on 2003 Honda Odyssey. This occurred on Sept. 24, 20
Exploding rear window on 2003 Honda Odyssey. This occurred on Sept. 24, 2011 at approximately 1 p.m. in Calgary, Alberta. It was a beautiful clear day, the temperature at the time was about 20 -23 degrees Celsius. My van was parked on a residential street facing eastbound.Earlier in the day, I tried to clean my exterior car windows with a wet cloth. While I didnt have any problems wiping down the north-facing side windows and the front window, I wasnt able to wash the south-facing side and rear windows because they were too hot to touch! As I moved the wet cloth over the windows, the water would dry on the glass instantly, leaving streaks. The heat of the windows made it impossible for me to continue washing them without burning my fingers or hands so I abandoned the task for the time being and left the sliding doors open for about 30 minutes to cool down the interior. A knob/latch is missing from the left side rear window so it doesnt close completely and creates an air gap.About two hours later, I drove to a self-serve car wash to wash down the van completely. I had my dog with me, who was tethered in and laying down on the seat directly behind the drivers seat.I started by walking around and spraying the soap solution over the vehicle. After adjusting the control to rinse, I began washing the front of the van when I heard one very loud pop from somewhere behind the van. When I got to the back of the vehicle, I noticed that the explosion (implosion? ) was my rear window! It was completely crumbled, but was still mostly intact. There were two holes in the glass, one in each bottom corner. I saw larger pieces of broken glass (approximately 1- 2) on the ground in the wash bay and more pieces inside the van.As I opened or shut the doors and drove out of the wash bay, the glass continued to fall down from the frame and into the back well area. As I was parked inside the car wash bay, the window didnt break from flying rocks or other road debris and theres no obvious evidence that I was a target for a BB gun, slingshot...or worse.

I went into Honda on Rt. 22 in Hillside, NJ for a diagnosis test & oil change. The service advisor tells me its just my battery. Ok so I wait for them to change the battery. Then he comes out 20 min later and says Can you come with me? I have to show you something. The mechanic shows my cables are ate up from the battery. He cannot change battery without changing cables which was approximately 600 and some change which I didnt have. My mechanic states my barrings are also leaking which was approximately 700 and some change. Now I had my car serviced back in April, they didnt see all the acid and corrosion on my battery. YES THEY DID, it was too much not to and to eat my cables from April to Oct the way it did, it was a lot of acid. Ok so I tell them look, fix it where I can drive it and Ill pay for the oil change and diagnosis test which was $85. While Im waiting they come tell me they dont have the parts. Ok give me a loaner. They dont have loaners, they have a shuttle - but fine, Im going to East Orange, OH. We dont go to East Orange, we go to Newark, Irvington, Union, Hillside and Elizabeth. Ok East Orange is a hop, skip, and jump away from all of them - WTF. Now Im mad, frustrated, hungry. I get a call with bad news of a relative passing - the day is just going downhill. Then a man approaches me about a car. I go in his office, we talk. He tells me I can take a new car & bring it back Saturday. Well that sounded great at the time so I sign temporary insurance papers to cover the new car, a privacy paper in which they said it was mandatory, and left with the car. I leave out the state on an emergency, my brother brings the car back to Rt. 22 Honda in Hillside and guess what? They SOLD MY CAR, told me I would have to give the $150 to get it back. I purchased a new 2009 Honda Accord Coupe, 4 cylinder, and after about 35,000 miles, I started experiencing excessive oil consumption. Oil is being lost at the rate of 1 qt. per 1,000 miles. I do not see any oil on my garage floor, so I can only assume it is burning it slowly. This is my second Accord, by the way, and I drive 25,000 miles per year, so I know darn well what the usage rate is. I went online to see if any other people had experienced this, and was surprised to find out that many other owners are having this problem, all across the US, in fact. The car was under warranty, so I called American Honda, and they told me to take it to a dealer, so that a diagnostic could be run, but they admitted that there was a recall for this problem. They said there was a software update, which should solve the problem. I was highly skeptical that software could fix it, but I played along. The next day, I took the car to Herb Chambers Honda in Burlington, MA for a diagnostic. They didnt see anything in the codes, and no visible signs of leakage. They did the software upgrade, and changed the oil, and told me to come back when (if) the oil level hit the low point on the dip stick. At about 2,700 miles, 1/27/12, the oil light came on today. I took the car back today, and they told me it had a little over 2 quarts of oil in it. It lost roughly 2 quarts per 1,000 miles. There was no change after the software upgrade at all. Actually, there was a change. My gas mileage went from high 20s to low 20s on the highway. They actually made the car worse. The dealer told me that 1 quart per 1,000 miles is normal for any car. I almost fell over, when they said that. In all my years of driving, including cars from the 60s and 70s, I have never seen a car come anywhere close to that. They actually thought I would buy that story. It is unbelievable! So, I called American Honda, to speak with the case manager that had been assigned to my case, and was expecting him to be all apologetic, and say that they would resolve the problem. Not a chance! He used the same line the dealer did, with the 1 qt. per 1,000 miles being normal usage. I was outraged! I just couldnt believe it. A multiple car Honda owner, and they didnt care the slightest about me, or their product. They could have made a customer for life by fixing it, but instead, they made an enemy for life. Now, Im stuck with a 2 year old piece of junk, and have no choice but to trade it in. Ill never buy another product from Honda, ever again, and I will be sure tell my story to everyone I come in contact with.

There was a problem with the 2008, 2009 Honda Accord rear brakes and consumers were compensated for replacing them. I have a 2010 (which was probably manufactured in 2009) Accord and the same problem has just occurred. I too would like some reimbursement for this Honda problem.

I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Touring trim (nearly $40K car). Have had 7 different failures so far (defective paint, electronics failures, parts falling off car door seals, wheel well lining, etc). Hondas answer is to keep taking the vehicle in for service. Its only 3 months old with 6500 miles, and its constantly breaking. In spite of the obvious fact that I have a lemon/dud, Honda will NOT replace the vehicle. My dealers answer outside of keep bringing it in for service was for me to sell my car back to them at a loss, and theyd work me a deal on a new car.GARBAGE quality from Honda. Even worse they dont want to stand behind their product. Ive been working with Leo at Hondas customer care, and he said theres nobody I can escalate to, but hed discuss this internally with the distributor (?) who generally does not talk to the customer. At this point I am in the process of yet more repairs, but a new car experience should NEVER be like this.Ive owned Honda cars my whole life, and have had an 83, 87, 2000, 2005 Accord, as well as a 2005 and a 2006 Odyssey. My 2005 Accord was a nightmare, but that was due to a 3rd party, aftermarket hack job from the dealer, so I cannot state that was a Honda issue. Now I have a 2018 Accord, and outside of some miracle response from Honda to make this right, it will be my last Honda EVER!! To be specific, heres a list of my issues so far in my first 3 months/6500 miles on the car: 1. Paint defect on side of car in front of passenger door 2. Paint defect on roof of car3. Failed backup camera/console unit 4. Weather stripping literally falling off passengers back door 5. Wheel well came loose and is resting on the tire while driving (part is in back order) 6. Bottom weather stripping loose, and sticking outside of rear passengers door7. Intermittent charging working/not working on wireless cell phone charging pad (iPhone X)NOTE: When the dealer looked into the paint on the roof, they first wanted me to file a claim with Cameron (additional paint protection/warranty product I bought), and there was a small elbow sized dent in the corner of the roof after they looked at it which I had to speak with the service manager about to get fixed. They did fix it, but didnt initially want to take ownership of it. Seriously, Honda? Ive Never spent so much money to only live to regret the purchase and get such a careless response from the manufacture of such a clear quality issue with YOUR product. If you are thinking of buying a Honda, buyer beware, and know that Honda will do nothing more than keep sending you in for repairs time and time again. I fear Im reaching the point that the lawyers will have to battle this one out.

June 2015 the paint on my 2007 Honda Civic started corroding. The extended warranty due to problems was 7 1/2 years. I missed it by 6 months. They would only split 50/50 for the sections showing corrosion. Their price for 4 sections was the same as Maaco for whole car, new bumper and dents fixed. Costing me $1575 to paint a car with 80,000 miles.

Steering locking up for a while then no power steering and blown fuse. Took to Honda dealer. He replaced fuse. Rode it for a while like 5 min., said it was alright. Got home, rode about 1/2 mile, it did the same. This is three weeks ago. Still no ATV to ride. Now I find out that there might be a recall on it. The dealer says he knows nothing, that it may not have a recall on this one. It is 2008 Foreman. What is wrong with this picture? The steering locked up twice. I dont know if I could put trust in Honda again after this. This is the third Honda in 12 years.

Honda customer service and Jazz/Fit the worst. Parts fall apart like no other car I have ever owned, and dealers acknowledge the faults but Honda turns a blind eye. (Wear and tear - a year after the purchase in the first case of the same issue!) Being reviewed by Consumer Affairs, wouldve hoped for better. Toyota or Subaru for me.
